The water fall is very beautiful and high. There are 1200 steps one side to reach the base of the waterfall which is steep and tiring, but it’s worth it. Must visit spot when you are planning to track the amazing 70 hairpins of the Kolli hills.

It’s very calm and beautiful shiva temple located at kolli hills. The temple small and clean with lord shiva as the main deity surrounded by other deities. The temple is under the control of government. There was some work is going during our visit. The views from the temple are awesome and there is one small falls and Agatha Gangai falls at the straight bottom of the temple. Overall it’s definitely worth to visit there

A beautiful monument and temple. Calm place, very close to hanuman temple. There are many great sculptures throughout the entire temple compound including the one inside the main temple. If you like historical, archeological and old temples then you'll definitely love it.

A beautiful temple. It may appear to be small but it's a big one and open type of temple. The line is quick and fast moving. You can literally see the god from any place you stand within the temple compound in front. They give vada as well after the darshan. Parking is there nearby at walkable distance in an open ground.

Fantastic place to visit. I love this 💕 due to its location and the architecture brilliance. This temple is located on a hill top with good roads but narrow roads. They charge you ₹30 for cars and ₹20 for bikes. Lengthy vehicles are not allowed so try to use cars or bikes. There is a lot of parking space available in the open parking place so be mindful about the time of visit. This temple is open until 2:00 pm in the afternoon and reopens after 4:00 pm. There is not much of a crowd and it will take approx. 1 hour to complete the entire temple visit. Unless there are any pooja ongoing. A special Q was available at a cost of ₹25 but still free Q itself is a better option to live with. Take some food if required as you won't find many options on the hill top. No monkey menace when we visited so I hope nothing to worry about monkeys. Refer the images for more information. Must visit places at least once if you get a chance to go around this place.

Had a truly divine day here. The hilltop setting is peaceful and we were delighted to see many peacocks around the premises—made the visit feel extra special. Do be a little careful with the monkeys though; keep food and bags secure. Beyond the main sanctum, there are two smaller temples a short, walkable distance away. The stroll is pleasant and worth it for the serene vibe and views. Facilities were clean, the staff were courteous, and the overall atmosphere was calm and devotional. If you can, try visiting early morning or around sunset for cooler weather and beautiful light. A wonderful place for darshan and a quiet escape from the bustle. 🙏🦚🐒

The most famous Ancient temple of Avinashi town dedicated to Sundarar comes under among 64 Nayanmar means followers of Lord Shiva. There is a shrine to Sundarar on the banks of the temple tank, and the bottom of the flagpost carries the image of the legend The "Muthalai Vaai Pillai" (crocodile mouth child) story at the Avinashi temple (also known as Avinashi Lingeshwarar Temple or Thiruppukkozhiyur) recounts how Saint Sundarar miraculously rescued a boy who had been swallowed by a crocodile in the temple tank. Two young boys were playing near a tank (Thamarai Kulam or lotus pond) near the temple when one of them was tragically swallowed by a crocodile. The parents of the boy, seeking help, approached the Saiva saint Sundarar, who was on his way to Tiruvanchikulam. Sundarar prayed to Lord Shiva, singing a verse ("ettraan marakken") and demanding that the boy be returned.Miraculously, the water in the tank gushed in, bringing the crocodile with it, and the crocodile spat out the boy, who was miraculously unharmed.

Male Mahadeshwara Temple is a divine and peaceful place. The new statue of Male Mahadeshwara Swamy looks very beautiful. There is a positive and spiritual atmosphere around the temple. I visited the temple again last weekend. It is maintained well by the government, but the crowd management was not good during the weekend. They have different entry lines like General, Senior Citizen, ₹250, and ₹500. The road to the temple has 27 hairpin bends, and the hill views during the drive are really beautiful. The temple provides prasadam three times a day. It’s definitely a must-visit place.

I recently visited Bharachukki Waterfall, and it was an amazing experience! Located in Shivanasamudra, around 130 km from Bengaluru, this spot is perfect for a short road trip. The journey was pleasant with greenery and small villages along the way, but the real reward was the view that awaited. The waterfall is massive and truly spectacular, with water gushing down the rocky cliffs into a wide pool below. The sound of the falling water combined with the cool breeze makes the whole atmosphere refreshing and peaceful. The place also offers nice viewpoints where you can sit, relax, and enjoy nature at its best. What I really loved about Bharachukki is how close you can get to the falls compared to Gaganachukki. It gives you the chance to truly admire its beauty. The mist and spray from the waterfall make the surroundings even more magical. It’s also a great spot for photography, especially during the monsoon season when the flow is at its peak. The area can get crowded on weekends, so visiting early in the morning is ideal for a more peaceful experience. Overall, Bharachukki Waterfall is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and scenic beauty.

It was a great experience. You have few food stalls, a home stay and plenty of places to sit for a while. Make sure avoid rainy season since you have no sufficient place to get shelter. The view is really good and worth the trip. There are few side seeing on the way to the waterfall. Since the waterfall premise is full monkeys, need to take extra precautions on your vehicle and belongings.

During our recent trip to Mysore, we had the pleasure of visiting the Somnathapura Temple, and it was absolutely worth it! The parking fee was a reasonable Rs. 40, and the entry fee was just Rs. 20 per person—definitely a steal for such an enriching experience. As soon as we arrived, we understood why this temple is nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The intricate carvings and detailed sculptures left us in awe; it's hard to believe that such artistry was achieved entirely by hand! The patience and skill of the artisans who created this masterpiece are truly commendable. One of the aspects I appreciated most about Somnathapura Temple was the absence of pandits and rituals inside, unlike many other temples. This allowed us to explore the temple freely without any restrictions on photography. We were able to wander around, taking in every corner and sculpture at our own pace, which made the experience even more memorable. If you're in the Mysore area, don't miss out on visiting Somnathapura Temple—it's a hidden gem that offers a glimpse into India's rich cultural heritage!
