Greenwood Great House is an 18th-century mansion located on a hill, offering an intimate and fascinating experience. Unlike other plantation houses, Greenwood survived the Christmas 1831 slave rebellion unscathed. The estate features period-furnished rooms with authentic and remarkable antiques. It is situated around 11km east of Ironshore and approximately 10km west of Falmouth.
A very different and more personal experience at Greenwood bringing to life the family who owned it and the people who worked there. Many fascinating items and rooms to see. The guided tour was great. If driving, take the road near a fuel station as it's the most direct and has least pot holes

As Canadian tourists traveling independently—not on a cruise or staying at an all-inclusive resort—we found our visit to Greenwood Great House to be one of the most rewarding and affordable experiences of our trip. The house itself is a beautifully preserved piece of Jamaican history, filled with fascinating artifacts and stories, but what truly made the tour exceptional was our guide, Kyla. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and brought the house to life with her warm and insightful storytelling. This was easily one of the best experiences we've had in Jamaica—don’t miss it! As of July 2p25 $30 adult $20 under 12

Beautiful home. So much history and well maintained. Lovely grounds. A real pleasure to visit. Excellent tour guide!
Jane H — Google review
The tour was interesting, but it was made great by our tour guide! Not only was she well-informed, but her ability to draw us into the history of the home was remarkable! Her personality was perfect. She also made sure each of us understood what was being discussed and patiently answered every question. The surprise?? The house is a home! A Barrett family member still resides on the property!
S. D — Google review
This was a fantastic tour by a wonderful lady who was passionate, warm and knowledgeable. The road to get there is…a bit rough. You will definitely earn your P.H.D. (Pot hole dodging degree) on the way there. However, once you get there it’s a fantastic experience. There is a small bar there as well and I highly suggest having a drink after the tour and chatting with the staff.
Miscellaneous M — Google review
Greenwood is one is the best preserved examples of the plantation era Jamaican Great House. Magnificent hilltop location, with wide view of the Caribbean sea. Built in late 1700s by Richard Bennett. Most of the items are authentic: furniture, antique china and silverware, crystals, oil paintings and Barrett family memorabilia, rare musical instruments, intact original library (with up to 300 books, some dated as early as 1697.) Worth a visit! Strongly recommended.
Hilde V — Google review
Enjoyed our visit to this house which made a good mini trip destination. Lots of interesting artifacts, beautiful views and informative guide who also showed us around the small garden.
Karen A — Google review
Great tour and great experience! The historical value of all the artifacts in this house is impressive! The guide was very knowledgeable and took her time with our kids. I think the only thing missing in the tour would be a moment, or sector of the tour, really dedicated to the life of the slaves in themselves, how they lived, what was their days like, etc. So to balance the opulence of the house with the actual reason they could be in such luxury by having slaves working for them. Otherwise I really recommend it it’s a different side of Jamaica different from just the fun beaches and falls.

Hampden Sugar Estate, a distillery with roots dating back to the 1750s, offers an immersive experience for rum enthusiasts. Visitors can indulge in a variety of award-winning rums such as Rum Fire and Hampden Estate Gold while partaking in the Estate Rum Tour. The tour includes exploration of the property and the Great House, providing insights into the evolution of rum-making processes over time.
Great experience learning from a working high end rum producer using the same method since inception. Not a touristy place so if you are expecting a high end wine tasting/bar experience, this isn’t for you. Our hosts, Steve and Shelly were awesome. Good jerk chicken as well! Also offer tastings of their rum as well.
Tim B — Google review
You really have to make an effort to get there. I drove myself but unless you have a screw loose like me you should hire a driver. The staff was great! Super friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was really informative and we were able to see the equipment up close and feel the heat. Would recommend the tour 100% Unfortunately there is a however. The price. The cost of the tour was reasonable but the product they offer at the end of the tour was not. The 8yr old rum had good character but left me feeling it needed to be aged significantly longer. In 10 years it would be a stellar rum but it is not there yet. Especially at $65/US ($100/CAN) for 750ml. You can buy better rums that are 4yrs older for half the price. I would recommend the tour but be prepared for a limited selection of wares to purchase at the end
Michael S — Google review
Amazing tour all around and great people. The place was rich with history and to see the production of one of the world’s best rum was fantastic.
J S — Google review
We really enjoyed the Hampden Estate Rum tour. The drive out there, not so much! While visiting Jamaica we booked an excursion to the rum distillery. The bus that took us there was nice but the roads were horrible. The distillery itself was steeped in history and very enjoyable. We enjoyed a lunch of jerk chicken and slammed back quite a few rum shots during the tour. The rum fire was so good we bought a bottle to bring home!!
Lloyd M — Google review
Stephen is an absolute gem! Very knowledgeable and great charisma! Made the tour worth wild! Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide!
Robert J — Google review
We have been to this tour three times now as the estate is not far from the coast and in a beautiful part of the island. The views over the fields are amazing. The road has not got any better 😂 be prepared for a bumpy road trip. On the road from Falmouth do not take the first turning to the right which is shorter, as it’s basically off road! It it had been wet the van may have got stuck. The other road has a lot of potholes, so take it slow. The tour was very well conducted and the staff were fun and friendly. They have a good script that teaches you about their product and the history of the estate and the Product. The rum punch they served was delicious and a good start. The visit inside the factory is very interesting as it is a working factory. It is very warm when you are standing next to the working equipment. There is an opportunity to ask lots of questions. The lunch area was nice and cool with a good breeze. The jerk is very mild and they serve it with a mild sauce. The lunch is a nice break after the very warm tour. More hot sauce was on the table. In the bar area you get to try two rums. The fire rum is a good mixer into a cocktail. The only downside of the tour was the shop, where I had to correct the staff member twice as they had over charged me. Check your maths before going to the till for what you wish to purchase.
James T — Google review
We had a shore excursion from Royal Caribbean. A great Air conditioned Bus about an hour ride from the port. A forty-five minute tour of the property. Our Tour guides explained the process of making Rum really well. We tasted over proofed Rum for the first time. It was way too strong for Me, but they did add lime and bitter after to help complete the drink. It was a great experience.
Donnell H — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience. The property was beautiful and well taken care of. Good to see historical places being preserved and cared for. Steve was our tour guide and he was excellent, very knowledgeable and an absolute asset to that company. I learned so much that even as a Jamaican I didn't know. Very thorough tour. Every sense was awakened at that place, so many different scents throughout the tour. The Food was good at the end and the rum was 👌🏽. I would definitely recommend and even revisit. The one thing I will say is it wasn't the easiest to find so double check the route Google tells you by asking locals.

Cinnamon Hill Golf Course is a picturesque 18-hole course in Montego Bay, offering stunning Caribbean views and featuring a small waterfall and historic aqueduct. The area is known for its golf courses, including Cinnamon Hill, Rose Hall, Half Moon, and the White Witch. Cinnamon Hill stands out with its beautiful surroundings and notable features like the waterfall near the 15th green, which was featured in the Bond movie 'Live and Let Die.'
First let me start my wife and I have only been playing golf for about 3 months and this was our first 18 holes and it was an experience to remember. The course was breathtaking and not very technical. Wide open gateways which made it easier for beginners. We loved looking at the ocean from some of the tee boxes, nothing like back home in Georgia. Our caddy (Mario)was the best. I was apprehensive about getting a caddy, but it was was well worth it. It was like getting free lessons AND playing golf at the same time. Cinnamon Hill was without a doubt the most beautiful course we have played yet and we are looking forward to White Witch that we are planning on doing in February.

A fun day golfing 🏌️, and definitely didn’t want to come here initially. Thought it would be lame , not well maintained and a boring course . I was absolutely 💯 wrong and glad we came to golf here. Had such a memorable experience with 18 holes and was not busy at all. I don’t think you need a Caddy either . Front 9 and back 9 are like 2 completely different courses ⛳️🙌🥳
Huzefa K — Google review
Super hot in June but a great experience. Must go early before it’s too hot and humid. Took a picture in front of Johnny Cash’s house. It’s a pretty Golf Course, waterfall and lots of nature.
Fabiana C — Google review
Beautiful and fun course. Front nine has spectacular views of the ocean while the back nine is tucked in the forest. The staff were all friendly and warm. Oneill Smith (pictured) was a fantastic caddie, coach, and therapist both days I played (December 8 and December 12, 2024). Highly suggest this course for anyone going to Montego Bay!
Dean N — Google review
I played here on my wedding day with two threesomes and we absolutely loved the course and the pro shop staff were very nice and accommodating. However my group did not have a good experience with our caddy, I believe his name was Owen. He seemed as if he did not want to be out there with us that day. I understand beginner and rusty golfers may not be ideal for a caddy that is used to working with better golfers, but his attitude was definitely sour when we were just trying to have a good time and enjoy the morning. I was hoping to bring my bride to play the same week, but my experience with him led to cancelling that tee time. Very disappointed.
Evan B — Google review
Stayed at the Hilton Rose Hall which was right next to this beautiful course. Everyone at the course was amazing but it is HOT so either bring lots of water and fluids or buy some when you’re there. Also make sure you take a caddie, they are worth the money and you’re on vacation! Thank you again
Dan T — Google review
I have played this course at least 5 times while vacationing, this is the FIRST time i have seen it in the greatest shape it has been in. In playing both this one and Half Moon hands down this is the better choice for ocean views mountain holes. The best thing is Half Moon is no where worth $45 more. Caddies at both courses is great. Only reason 4 starts is it is a island course but as a island course its a 5. Great Job Cinnamon Hill Team!
Tommy C — Google review
My husband and I played here on our honeymoon and had a blast. All staff was so nice and welcoming. Very different golf experience but loved every second of it. Nike clubs we rented were a bit older but they worked perfectly fine for us. The course is beautiful. Some of the greens are rougher but the views get better and better as you go. The front 9 has more of the ocean views and the back 9 transitions to more jungle and rolling hills. It was a little pricey with having to rent clubs and buy our balls but it was an experience we will never forget. We got there early and used the driving range prior. They allowed us to start 30 mins early and hardly had to worry about how fast or slow we played because there wasn't that many people on the course. It was a hot round of golf but it was so great. Would recommend playing here as its an amazing experience if you love golf.

Main Street Rose Hall is a must-visit destination in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It offers a safe and delightful shopping experience with an array of souvenir shops, boutiques, and specialty stores. Visitors can find unique items such as wood carvings, jewelry, Bob Marley and Harley Davidson t-shirts, and enjoy the best ice cream at Devon House Cones and Cream. The area also features vendors selling fresh coconut water and a Scotchies restaurant offering jerk chicken and seafood.
We had a great time exploring & shopping & eating here. The sale persons aren't pushy & they hv really nice things. Don't forget to visit the ice-cream shop & the outside jerk restaurant there ( can't remember name) Across the highway is the actual Rose Hall historic house.

First time there and it was lovely. They have karaoke every last Thursday. You can also enjoy fun games too.
Tami M — Google review
Shops were clean and nice. Make sure to bargain as there are no price tags, and the salespeople change prices. The location is definitely for cruise passengers. One authentic shop called Cooyah had great style and knows their Jamaican history, so shop there.

The Main Street Rose Hall shops are friendly, laid-back, and full of good people. Only less than 5 minutes drive from the Hilton Rose Hall. Love it here, "Respect Man"

Main Street in Rose Hall is a truly remarkable destination that merits a visit. Its delightful array of shops and charming boutiques offer a wide selection of exquisite gifts. Your experience is guaranteed to be nothing short of exceptional. We spent a truly memorable day there, and I strongly recommend making it a priority during your stay in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Nice small shopping area for big brands and some local bits. Very quiet when we went, only saw 4 other shoppers.
Charlie P — Google review
It's OK, the market is made for tourists so expect high prices , if you are looking for deals , it's not the place to go. I would recommend the first gift shop on the left once you enter. They have the best selection of souvenirs and clothes.
Amer J — Google review
The legend of Rose Hall is intriguing. Our tour guide was very personable as well as knowledgeable. The property itself was full of history that transcended the island. I really enjoyed the tour and wish we had more time to see other properties in the area.

Rose Hall Great House is a restored Georgian mansion that was built in 1770 on a former plantation in Jamaica. It offers tours that provide insight into the lives of European landowners and enslaved people during the sugar plantation era. The property is reputedly haunted, with local legends surrounding Annie Palmer, known as the White Witch of Rose Hall. Visitors can opt for candlelight tours to immerse themselves in the eerie atmosphere and learn about the mysterious deaths associated with the property.
Great place to visit. I'd definitely recommend it. Our guide was Marsha and she was very knowledgeable and polite. My wife and I had a very nice rum punch in the basement where there was a bar. We were given the little jars we had the punch in as a gift.
Ivan — Google review
Overall, visiting Rose Hall was a great experience. It was wonderful to learn about the local culture and hear interesting historical facts. The tour provided a lot of valuable information, though at times it felt a bit rushed. We would have appreciated more time in individual rooms and opportunities for questions and discussion. Despite that, it was an enjoyable and worthwhile visit, offering plenty of insight into the history and culture of the area.
Sebastian B — Google review
Definitely worth the visit. My friend and I did this tour and our tour guide was a lovely. Interesting stories. P.S. Try the witch’s brew from the pub there.
Radika D — Google review
Really interesting place to learn about the legend of the white witch. They offer both day and evening tours and both are quite informative and very helpful to understand what took place back in the day. We certainly recommend if you are interested in spooky, local history and also antique items.

Ohhhhhh my gosh, if you are in Jamaica GOOOOO!!! It’s well worth it. We all had such a wonderful time. STUNNING place and it’s an excellent way to learn history. If you’re a Johnny Cash or Ghost Adventures fan this is a MUST. Staff was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and welcoming. Such beautiful people, I could listen and learn for hours.
Taunya V — Google review
Fantastic experience! Our guide was wonderful! My mom and driver who are natives always was too nervous to come here but we convinced them and they had a wonderful time Learned so much!

The night tour was perfect, I've done a lot of historic mansion tours in different cities and this was by far the most fun. The house is amazing, the tour was "interactive", and it was really interactive. :) Everyone one was engaged, on edge and scared through the whole tour. Our guide Ricky was great! Very entertaining.

The White Witch Golf Course is an 18-hole course situated within the Rose Hall Estate in Jamaica, offering stunning views of the Caribbean. The course was designed by renowned architects Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril and spans 200 acres of lush greenery with rolling terrain providing a challenging game for seasoned players.
What an unbelievable experience! Talk about dramatic 1st hole views. Oh my goodness, it was an absolute dream come true. The moment you enter the gate, the scenery is out of a movie and literally jaw dropping. The staff were all so amazingly nice and funny and certainly eager to make me feel like family. The bartender warned me about the witches brew, it got me good mon... and I really enjoyed Ericka navigating me thru a pretty challenging course. Her knowledge of the game, course management, and overwhelmingly contagious positive spirit made me feel so blessed to have met her. I felt so bad she had to witness me hack her beautiful course up so bad.. LoL.. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for an awesome time with spectacular views. 😎

White witch was a beautiful golf experience! The views from high up in the mountains were amazing. My caddie Sharon was super knowledgeable, Oshea and Donovan were helpful as well. Yes the greens had some rough patches and the course is not easy but overall this course should be on your golf bucket list if you come to Jamaica. Thank you!
Dan T — Google review
Overall, the course is a great experience. It’s a Caribbean course and I’ve always tempered expectations when in those destinations, so just know the greens aren’t “elite US club” level and there are definitely some rough patches. From what my caddie said, they were straight dirt less than two years ago, so they’ve made strides to improve. The layout is awesome and every hole is unique, there’s not a single boring hole on the property. The views of the ocean are beautiful!
Nick M — Google review
Caddy is great golf course is great but not the greens covid really did a number on them, the greens need a lot of love it is mostly dirt. But if your looking for a fun time this is the place for you if you are serious golfer the greens will upset you . We had a great time good weather great caddy . Ya mon
Dwayne K — Google review
My husband & I came to this course yesterday. We are on a cruise & booked this spot to play while our ship was docked in Jamaica. The course was absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing & super friendly. Our golf caddy Diane made the experience that much better for us. She knew her stuff & was a joy to be around all day. We will highly recommend to anyone we know coming to Jamaica & we will let them know to request Diane as their caddy. If we ever find ourselves traveling to Jamaica again we will definitely be back! PS- my husband wanted me to add that Diane has EXCELLENT golf & course knowledge.
Katherine H — Google review
I went to the location for a wedding. The land was amazing, very well preserved. There is no air-conditioning system in the buildings, but there are fans. The view was amazing for a wedding. I highly recommend
Christina C — Google review
This place is truly a 5star experience! Nadia was my caddy and an absolute pleasure - she is kind, funny, and gave great advice on the course. I definitely recommend requesting her! The entire staff were exceptional in their service and I felt very at home, even while navigating a new place. The course is beautiful and the views from that elevation were probably the best in Jamaica. I'll definitely be back!

I may not be a golfer, but my visit to White Winter Golf Course left a lasting impression. The impeccable turf and well-manicured greens are a testament to the dedication of the staff. The surroundings exude a sense of service and attention to detail that can only enhance the experience for avid golfers. From what I observed, everything here seems to be perfectly aligned for a great tee-off. A top-notch destination for golf enthusiasts and non-golfers alike!

Whether traveling as a couple, with friends, or family, there are options for everyone to enjoy. In addition to popular sightseeing destinations like Dunn River Falls, independent tour operators such as Viator and Tours by Locals provide additional opportunities for exploration.
We had an outstanding experience with this company. They provided airport transfers to and from our resort and we went on four different tours with them. All of the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Special shout out to Darlene, who spent an entire day (12 + hours) with us for one tour, the highlight of our trip! Would absolutely recommend and use this company again!
Courtney B — Google review
I rarely leave reviews and especially unsavoury reviews at that; however, this is one of those unfortunate occasions. I booked a round trip airport transfer. The ride to my resort was fine. However, my driver spitefully left us after a disagreement (he had a hostile demeanour and attitude because we presented for our 12:10 pm pickup at 12:10 pm [this is not a typo]. According to him, he had been waiting for 10 minutes but we had checked out 15 minutes prior and no one was waiting when we did). We went to get our bag which the resort had behind the desk for safe keeping (because again, we checked out on time and the resort didn’t want random luggage in the foyer pickup area) and then once our backs were turned, he drove off. The resort were sympathetic to us and offered a taxi ride which allowed us to make our flight in time, fortunately. I informed JTL when I got to the airport and was told if I emailed their customer service, the situation would get resolved. I received no response and, of course, I should have known better that they would follow up or rectify the issue. Use this business at your own risk.
Daniel W — Google review
I had to wait for the lady that sells the excursions to show up. She was supposed to be there at nine and got there at 9:45. We booked two excursions with her. The first one was to leave that day at 11. They were over an hour late, picking us up. Then the next day the tour guide showed up to pick us up for the next morning’s excursion. She did not call names, I just noticed the name on the bus said Jamaican Tours. I had to walk up to her and ask if she was the correct person. She would not stop having a conversation with other employees at the resort. I had to actually say excuse me for her to stop and then she just pointed at the bus for me to go get on. While on the tour, she was rude, told people to be quiet, and gave dirty looks. I know that they have a code and want you to book with the original company that you booked the entire trip with. But I would recommend using one of the other companies. The ladies with Amstar were extremely nice and helpful. They just didn’t want to take commission away from their counterpart. I wish I would’ve pressed the issue. JTL didn’t even give options of excursions. Just sold the package from a book.
Tammy F — Google review
I HATE TOURS BUT......... I loved JTL Tours so much that I am considering giving tours a chance again. Firstly, Dacia Riley was amazing to sell me on this tour and was gracious all the way. Then Ms. Darlene was the most amazing tour guide. Whether you want island history, politics, economics or jokes she was up to the task. Worth every minute of the tour. I cannot say enough about this team that operated from the Ocean Coral Springs Hotel.

I have just come back from Jamaica and what made it amazing was the excursions I went on. I can't recommend Jamaica Tours enough for an amazing time. First of all I was in Bahia grand principal in runaway bay. I booked all my things with Jamaica Tours through an amazing ladies called Dionne Brown. She helped me so much. I've been to Jamaica a few times and she found tours for me to try that was new and I loved them all. She was so helpful, caring, funny and just a star. So if you are ever at Bahia grand principal please go to Jamaica Tours and ask for her. I went on the chukka Dunn's River boat trip, luminous Lagoon tour, Chukka ATV and shopping. All were amazing. The buses, drivers and journeys were all great. Thank you Jamaica Tours till next time I come. And again thank you Miss Dionne.
Louise B — Google review
I’m extremely disappointed in the service provided by Jamaica Tours Limited (JTL). My family and I were scheduled for an airport pickup at 10:05 AM. We were downstairs by 9:50 AM and checked in with the representative, Marlene, who assured us she would let us know when the driver arrived. The driver didn’t show up until 10:20 AM — late and in a foul mood. He was rude from the start, aggressively throwing our luggage into the storage compartment and snapping at us to put our carry-ons in the front of the bus ourselves. We had done absolutely nothing to warrant that behavior. When my fiancée realized she had forgotten her passport in the room, she apologized and quickly ran back to get it. Instead of showing any patience or understanding, the driver became angry and shouted that she had "one minute" or he was leaving. I calmly reminded him that he was the one who was late, and we had shown him grace — why couldn’t he extend the same courtesy to us? He then demanded her name, yelling, and moments later said he was driving off without her. I told him to stop the bus and let us off. He proceeded to scream at my family and throw our bags out of the undercarriage. Then he got back on the bus and drove away, leaving us behind. I spoke to Marlene immediately and explained everything. Shockingly, she blamed us, asking, “Why would you get off the bus?” I told her we had no idea JTL would provide another car for my fiancée — because no one communicated that. She had nothing else to say and refused to call for another ride. We ended up having to pay $160 (8 people at $20 each) out of pocket for a taxi to the airport. To make matters worse, we had a jet ski tour booked with JTL during our trip — and they just canceled it without any explanation or rescheduling. Save yourself the stress, disrespect, and disorganization — DO NOT book anything through JTL. Their service was unprofessional, their staff were rude and unhelpful, and their lack of communication left a terrible mark on what should’ve been a beautiful family trip.

Carter was our driver today. Picked us up at Riu Montego Bay! He made our day exceptional. We Came all the way from North Carolina and was made to feel like family on our private tour to Dunn river falls, and then shopping in Ocho Rios. Treated like family by Carter Clarke!! You were and are awesome. Thank you. 5 stars all the way!!!!

We would not book with them again. Valgeene was our rep and we scheduled all of our excursions in advance for her to day off at the scheduled time of pick up with the driver forget the card machine for payment making us late. She has to have the srover to a different location just to give us reciepts. Day 2 of a 8:00am excursion we had to call her because our driver was not there and she tells us “give her one minute” and hangs up on us without further explanation. We call again she’s saying theres a thire party hick up. We ask what the hick up is (we scheduled in advance) she says “hold on” and hangs up again. So for the third time were calling trying to figure it out because we were scheduled for ATV and Horseback riding at 8 and were now going on 8:30. She calls telling us we have to do rafting today and atvs and auch tomorrow. Well thats not what we planned and prepared for. She wasn’t courteous of the inconviemce and on too off that she tell us “you have 10 minutes to change” and “do you want to go or not” just really rude, not apologetic or customer service savy. Then the driver that she told 10 minutes too last minute was really nasty and rude to us because she made us late being that she changed our plans day of minutes before the rafting excursion. We still have more days to experience with our excursions through them and we aren’t very happy with the inconvenience or the distasteful customer service.

Club Mobay Departure is a convenient service that offers a comfortable and efficient experience for travelers departing from Jamaica. With access to an exclusive lounge, guests can enjoy drinks and food while waiting for their flights. The service also includes assistance with customs and expedited security lines, making the departure process smooth and stress-free. Travelers have praised the attentive staff members who provide excellent service, adding to the overall value of using Club Mobay Departure.
We used Club Mobay for arrival and departure. This was our first time visiting Jamaica. We were so happy that we used this service for both arrival and departure. It made the entire process so easy, quick and stress free. I would always use this service whenever we fly into/out of Jamaica. The employees working with us were very nice. The departure lounge was very clean with a nice variety of food and drink offerings. We felt it was worth the money. Great job Club Mobay!

Certainly a retreat from the busy atmosphere of an international airport. I have been to dozens of international airports in all parts of the world and the accompanying lounges. What makes this one stand out is the absolute dedication to service. Without being instructive the staff is actively looking to assist and anticipate the needs of those who have been fortunate enough to wander into this lounge. The food is also great and if it were not for my flight, I would have loved to stay longer.
Harvey T — Google review
Worth every penny with kids. We had a good hour and a half to spend in there before our flight. The drinks and the service were excellent. The buffet was actually really good with a large selection. The little nook for the kids was awesome for our six-year-old and kept him busy the whole time.
Heather G — Google review
We were welcomed and enjoyed exceptional service by the super friendly staff! The lounge is very clean and well stocked with great food and drink options. The bathrooms are also well attended to. There is a great enclosed childrens play area. They also have a little spa. This is definitely one of my favorite lounges to visit while traveling!
Mark L — Google review
Definitely great/huge time saver for the lines in immigration (tsa line). You can definitely just drink the price of admission as well. It was clean, service was very attentive - but food choices were very limited, so I'm removing a star for that.
Lana D — Google review
When the time came to leave Jamaica, the thought of saying goodbye to the beautiful island was tough. But then we had the Club Mobay experience, and it was the perfect final touch to our vacation. It didn't just make the airport experience easier; it extended our feeling of being on vacation right up until we boarded the plane. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were treated like VIPs. We were escorted through a special, fast-track security lane, which was a huge relief, especially with all the hustle and bustle of a busy international airport. Once inside the lounge, we were in our own little world of Jamaican hospitality. The atmosphere was so relaxed and comfortable, a stark contrast to the hectic terminal outside. The lounge itself is beautiful, with different areas for relaxing, working, or even a kids' play area. We grabbed some delicious Jamaican patties and other snacks and enjoyed some drinks from the open bar. It was the perfect way to spend our last few hours on the island—just kicking back, enjoying the food and drinks, and reflecting on our amazing trip. Club Mobay turned a typically stressful airport experience into a relaxing and enjoyable part of our vacation. It was the best way to savor our last moments in Jamaica, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to make their departure as memorable as their arrival.
Fiorella M — Google review
While the snacks & beverages are nice, the real Club Mobay benefit is the fast line when leaving the airport. Life saver of you hate waiting in lines. Ive had the service both times, this year & wouldn't go back without it. Worth every penny!

Excellent and essential when traveling through Sangster Montego Bay Airport, fast track through the queues. Be prepared to be attacked with dirty looks from the travelers waiting on long lines to get through customs and the check in kiosks. I found a great package deal on Viator arrival and departure lounge access. The arrival lounge is tiny, but understandably so. After flight delays we just wanted to get to our resort. But it was worth it to get adjusted to the pace of things. The departure lounge is where it's at they have a buffet style with finger foods and the beef patties. The jerk chicken wraps are hilariously tiny. But good food and drinks overall. The staff really make it comfortable.

This is by far the best beach in montego Bay. It never disappoints. Always clean , great staff and food to make it a perfect spot to be. Anytime I am in Jamaica, it is my happy place 😊. By far the best beach ⛱️ 😎

Beautiful, clean beach. Highly recommend for a day at the beach. Be aware that on Wednesdays, the cruise ships dock and so will be very busy. Getting there around 2pm on a Wednesday is good.

Beautiful tranquil area! Extremely clean area and beach, but to access this beach and area a small fee needed. Don't worry it's very low and very worth it. Great to chill out, relax, have a walk. And a light bit of snorkeling. Lots to see and nice food around. We spent the day and it was a good day out overall
RMB — Google review
Such a nicely maintained beach, you pay a fee to enter and can rent umbrellas and chairs. Food was good and reasonable, drinks were pretty good. Beautiful water also just relaxing watching planes landing every now and then.
Sarah S — Google review
This is a great beach… very beautiful. They have a lifeguard on the beach and security. They also have a great bar that is nearby with great drinks. The bar is able to accept American and Jamaican dollars very good vibes. The people were very friendly. I even got a celebratory birthday drink from a local. I’m here to tell the story lol. The people are extremely beautiful and you don’t have a lot of people heckling you. You do have to pay for chairs. I think we paid seven bucks. The beat is full of tourists and local so it’s a good mix and you’re likely to feel very comfortable there. Get there early if you want to avoid having to get an umbrella and use a tree for the ultimate shade they also serve food. We had beef and chicken patties. They were steaming hot and delicious. The bathrooms were clean. all in all very good beach.
G D — Google review
Nice beach. Great view. Got shaded places under tree if you are worried to get burnt, plus the rental umbrella, you should be fine. Got all facilities you need and are pretty clean. It would be 5 stars if the stuffs can be nicer. We asked a lady who works there for helping us take a photo for all, however, she just turned around and ignored.

Doctors Cave Beach is located off the famous Hip Strip of Montego Bay. Access is via the Hip Strip, it’s a fee paying beach, the beach is impeccably clean with clear waters so you can see the sea life, if you venture out a little you can snorkel and see amazing sea life. There is bar serving drinks , cocktails and bar snacks , there is a Starbucks overlooking the beach so coffee and everything Starbucks is available. There is a bouncy thing you swim up to and bounce on or just chill and lie on, the beach can get busy from time to time, but that’s because it’s the place to hang out. The white sand, the clear sea, the warm sea and the impressive sealife makes this beach popular with tourists and locals alike

This beautiful stretch of road features towering bamboo shoots that create a natural tunnel, providing shade and preventing erosion. Originally established in the 17th century by the owners of Holland Estate, Bamboo Avenue continues to offer a refreshing respite for travelers passing through.
Beautiful road about 3 miles long lined with arching bamboo clusters. St. Elizabeth is a beautiful parish and driving down this road a few times was always an enjoyable sight to see.

Driving through this Historical place is somewhat of a time travel experience peri. You won’t find this anywhere else in the world; a master piece, if I may add. It’s also good to stop and support the local vendors and get some refreshing fruits and/or peanuts. You should also be careful when you stop as there seems to be many speeders pass a by. Waterfalls
YS Falls is a breathtaking natural attraction located on the southern coast of Jamaica. This scenic destination features seven stunning waterfalls that cascade into inviting natural swimming pools, all set amid lush gardens. Visitors can take an adventure excursion to explore the falls and enjoy a refreshing splash in the river. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, there are options for canopy expeditions, offering a thrilling ziplining experience from the top to the bottom of the falls.
Beautiful and so serene. The waterfalls and hot springs make for a very relaxing time. The entire park is very luscious and green, it’s so relaxing and peaceful. Not as crowded when we went. You access to the entire park, not just the waterfalls. So you could walk around, get in the water and just spend your entire day here. I really enjoyed it. I booked through a tour company so I’m not sure how the experience is if you go by yourself.
Christabella — Google review
I had a wonderful time with family there. It was relaxing and beautiful. I zip lined across the falls and Patrick and Gerard were amazing making it so much fun. A must go
Dawn M — Google review
YS Falls is one of the premier falls in Jamaica, and with good reason. It’s one of the most professionally run establishments I’ve been to in the country. Everything is orderly, on time, well maintained and very reasonably priced. The falls is beautiful and has lifeguards at every level. There is a pool at the base of the falls, picking tables about the grass, and even food being sold. There is zip lining and rope swings. In terms of crowds, I recommend going early. By midday there will be hundreds of people milling about. AVOID holidays, as it will be unbelievably busy.
Miscellaneous M — Google review
I absolutely loved this place! Our guides were fantastic! It’s amazing to jump off the rope swing. Very freeing. Many locals which made me feel I was having a more authentic cultural experience. There’s two mineral water pools to play or swim in before entering the falls. 15 dollar water shoes, can also rent them for 10! The staff was lovely and helpful. We had family with us from ages 1-84 and everyone had a good time. Highly recommend!
Laura L — Google review
The river was running fast, and was brown due to rain. However, it was still so beautiful!!! When you get to the gate, you pay admission, then ride a bus to the falls. Once there, theres a gift shop with small lockers available for $5. But once you open it, you have to take your items or pay another $5 to keep it. There are also changing rooms, bathrooms, and places to sit. Overall a very nice place, with the most beautiful scenery.
Prudhomme K — Google review
We only got about 1-1.5 hrs here. Would reccomend spending the whole day here. Admission fee of 22.00. Tourist trap but worth it if you plan to spend the whole day there. They have a pool below of natural fresh water from the falls with pool chairs and lifeguard etc. so you can spend time swimming/ relaxing/ playing in the falls. Lots of local plants/ gardens/ animal life like snails. YS falls has about 3 tiers and good supply of gushing water. You can’t get to the top most tier walking. They only let you go up to the 2nd tier. However, on the 2nd tier/ pool, there are two ropes. One that you can swing and jump off of from a platform (they tell you when to jump) and a 2nd one that you can also jump off of into more shallow water or just swing on it. I was told it is less popular so less crowded than Dunns River falls which is nice. The attendants were really helpful in helping us take photos, helping us walk through the falls (had us join hands together for safety). Small gift shop but overpriced items. You can do zip lining or tubing for additional fees. Seemed like ziplining was an additional 60.00. Would definitely go again
C L — Google review
The journey to get there is totally worth it! The landscapes, The pool, and services were more than adequate if you don't want to be in the falls. Only wish they stayed open a little longer.
Celia S — Google review
Pure magic. From the scenic drive in to the moment you step onto the property, everything feels like a postcard come to life. The falls are breathtaking and the natural pools are perfect for a refreshing swim. The staff was kind, helpful, and made the experience feel safe and fun. We loved that it wasn’t overly crowded, and the balance of adventure and relaxation was perfect. Everything was clean, organized, and well taken care of. This place captures the heart and beauty of Jamaica—highly recommend making it part of your trip!

Definitely worth the visit! You get to explore the grounds, while learning about the estate's history. You will also learn about bees, hummingbird, and also plants that can be found on the estate. The most exciting part is having the opportunity to taste the different fruits grown on the land. Amazing space , well thought out worth the drive … curated safe manicured glamping spot , has all the amenities you need from a place to charge electronics, to clean bathroom and adequate parking , 24/7 security, outdoor showers ,firepit, warm hospitality and the whole shibang would recommend this happily with my eyes closed…. All produce on this farm is organic and you get to taste and enjoy produce as a part of the overall outdoors experience…. Is definitely a must do

Love this experience! Yes, the journey was bumpy, but experiencing the two natural spring waterfalls as we got close to property made the journey worthwhile. We are so grateful to Dylan for the personal tour of this blessed piece of paradise on 'the Rock'. We ate from the land ... jackfruit (like cotton candy), and pineapples. Thank you for educating us about how the land was designed and how it's used. We share your vision and wish you continued success. We visited a few days after Beryl and, with the exception of a few broken tree limbs, the property looked like it put its own 'forcefield' to protect itself. Dylan "Who God bless let no man curse!" Thank you again Blessings, Owen, Lisa and Abby

This was the best part of our Jamaican trip. The ride here was a bit bumpy but so worth it. Along the way there was a natural waterfall on the road which was really cool to see. Croydon is a huge pineapple farm along with many other different types of fruits. The best part was trying all the fruits. The view of the mountains was also gorgeous. There is a lunch served after your long walk. Make sure you try the organic ginger tea, I've never tasted a drink that good before.

I feel bad for not remembering our tour guides in the zip lining tour. We had two younger men named Ali or Alley and something starting with the letter R leading the tour. They were wonderful. Highly recommended. Everyone felt safe. Had two kids with me ages 7 and 10. Loved all of it. It’s different viewpoints on beauty and we got shown and told the names of the nature around us.

Absolute worst excursion ever. Visited Chukka Adventures on Wednesday February 27, 2019. We paid for the tubing down the river and zip line adventures. We had a young tour guide for our tubing adventure. I think his name was Bobiloue. Immediately upon arriving the tour guide looks at us and asks us "what did you say about my momma." The look on his face was so serious. He never let out a laugh but I'm assuming this is Jamaican humor because he said it a couple more times. At the end of the adventure my friends and I tipped him $10. He approached us shortly after and advised us that he felt the $10 was "too low of a tip." Luckily the property manager was close and overheard. Long story short the properties general manager approached us and assured us he would take care of the employees rudeness and send him home. He continued to apologize and stated he would call our ships customer service to give them a heads up about the complaint. We stayed on property doing the zip line for about another hour and a half. As we were getting on the shuttle we noticed the same employee working in another area of the property. He was laughing and joking around with other employees. He noticed us getting onto the shuttle and nodded to his co-workers as to who we were and laughed. They did not send him home as promised. They only moved him to a different area to work. Bottom line management at this establishment cares nothing about the people it serves. Their only concern is the money you are bringing. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for an excursion.

This was our first time visiting the Swaby Black River Safari and we were warmly welcomed by the lovely lady at the ticket desk—so polite and friendly. We then set off with our captain, Cornell, who was incredibly knowledgeable. We learned so much about the crocodiles, the Black River, the local wildlife and plant life, as well as the history and surroundings of St. Elizabeth and neighbouring Trelawny. Everyone on our tour had a fantastic time—Cornell kept us entertained with fun trivia and nonstop jokes. We were able to interact with the adult crocodiles and touch them. After the tour, we got to see baby turtles and hold the baby crocodiles. Honestly, this is one of the best experiences I’ve had in Jamaica. We absolutely loved it!

Second time doing business with Jackie for our family trip of 3! Using their private transportation from the airport to our resort was fast and easy + they accommodated us for each of our specific requests! Great communication, explanations and overall feeling of ease and safety with our 2 year old toddler. Much appreciated - would definitely recommend to anyone looking for effective private shuttle service and the tours that she offers! Much Love! ML

Had the pleasure of meeting Jackie several years ago on a family vacation. She took us to several sights. Extremely professional and passionate about her country. Had a wonderful experience, highly recommend!!

Awesome and flexible guided tours and transfers We booked with Jackie's over WhatsApp and she was responsive to all our questions. She was very punctual and super friendly! We booked a day trip in Ocho Rios. She took us to Ferngully, then to Shaw gardens, which was closed but she went out of her way to track down the groundkeeper and arranged a private tour! Next to Konoko falls garden with a similar experience. After that she took us to a great lunch spot and helped us pick out different stuff to try. Then to a tour of St. Ann's which was rich with history and old churches. Next we were off to the Blue Hole where we spent hours swimming and climbing the river. She arranged tour guides and a photographer to follow us. We had a safe fun experience there. When Jackie dropped us off we all had smiles on our faces and lots of great memories and tons of photos. She made our week! We used her for airport transfers and Al drove us. He was also early both directions and got us to and from the airport safe and sound, and quick. I will use her again next time for sure!

We had a wonderful time with Nicholas When we visited back in January. He was a wonderful guide, and took us to a couple places off the beaten path that were perfect. He showed us where to get good authentic food, gave tips on the best times to visit certain locations, and Jackie picked out the best places for us to go! Hiking the Blue hole with Papi was amazing. She picked him for us, as he's the best guide and take excellent pictures! If you're going to Jamaica, book through Jackie. She's the best.

Went on an island wide tour, big up Rick our driver. He was so patient and calm with our group. His driving skills are on point with the hilly terrains that covers most of Jamaican's central parishes. Miss Jackie made our trip so relaxing and always prepare just in case you are not prepared for your day. Will return again.

Amusement park ride
Dolphin Cove Montego Bay is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to create unforgettable memories. Spanning over 23 acres of stunning oceanfront property, this attraction offers an array of packages that include lunch, drinks, and access to a luxurious infinity pool. Visitors rave about the engaging experience with dolphins—these intelligent creatures perform delightful tricks and allow guests to swim alongside them.
A Fantastic Day at Dolphin Cove in Montego Bay Our visit to Dolphin Cove in Montego Bay was such a memorable experience! From the start, the staff was welcoming and made everything easy and enjoyable. It’s clear they care deeply about the dolphins and their guests, and that energy carried through the entire day. One of the highlights, aside from the incredible dolphin interactions, was meeting Marice in the gift shop. She was so kind and helpful, with a great eye for recommending thoughtful souvenirs. Her warmth and genuine interest in making sure we found just the right items really stood out and added a personal touch to our visit. The dolphin swim itself was amazing—getting up close with such intelligent and playful animals was a dream come true. The trainers were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their work, which made the experience even more special. Dolphin Cove is a perfect blend of fun, learning, and relaxation. Whether you’re there for the dolphins or just soaking in the atmosphere, the staff truly makes it a place worth visiting. It was a day we won’t soon forget! PS. Buy photos in advance it’s worth it!!!!

This was absolutely the best part of our trip. We love the dolphin Cove swimming with the dolphins. 🐬 such a great experience the birdcages, the ostrich, the sharks, the Monteray the dolphins were the best. They are so precious and they take such good care of them here. I was so impressed ! Thank you so much to our dolphin trainer Sheldon he was so great with the dolphins and with our group of people that had small children. Patient kind and was great experience for everybody.

I had a wonderful experience. Dolphins was amazing. Birds was beautiful. I didn’t like that we bought a photo package each 77$ a person (3 people) and they only wanted to send the photos to one person. After a little back and forth and explaining we spent over 600$ including the tickets to get into dolphin cove we should be able to get our pictures sent to us individually. Other than that the experience was amazing. Trainers was excellent with each animal they was in charge of especially Fritzgald (dolphin trainer) and the lifeguard was on hand and at my side because I was scared. Food was good and had alot of choices of food to choose from.

Christopher and “noidea” were so amazing!!! Our dolphin encounter was absolutely unforgettable. The experience was organized perfectly from start to finish, and the dolphins were incredible to interact with. What really made the day special were our two tour guides who were so friendly, funny, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made everyone feel comfortable and excited, sharing fun facts and keeping the energy high the whole time. Easily one of the best excursions we’ve ever done.

Mayfield Falls & Mineral Springs is a captivating natural attraction nestled in the mountains of Jamaica, offering a serene and rejuvenating experience for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can immerse themselves in the healing mineral spring waters and explore two waterfalls, numerous water pools, and charming gazebos set against breathtaking backdrops. This crowd-free oasis allows guests to climb into the cool river surrounded by lush bamboo thickets, swim through an underwater tunnel, and enjoy the invigorating natural Jacuzzi created by the falls.
Visit this spot! It’s so amazing - we think it’s much much better than Dunns River. It’s more off the beaten path but less touristy and a true glimpse of Jamaica’s beauty. We had a taxi take us from Grand Palladium and then a local Mayfields guide - Shane - walked us through the falls. He was so fun and knowledgeable. He was one of the best guides we’ve ever had on any tour ever. We 100% recommend!

It is a beautiful waterfall. Our guide was wonderful. The grounds ambiance is very welcoming. The only downside to the trip experience is getting there. The road conditions could be better than what they are right now.

Bring water shoes!!! Our only annoyance was having to pay $7 each to rent icky torn up water shoes on top of the $25 entry fee. You can’t do the excursion without and wish we read about this in advance. The experience itself was great. Our guide Dave was friendly and welcoming and took nice photos of us during the hike. Request him. The waters were cool and refreshing and it was a nice day away from the bustling beach. We didn’t run into anyone else at all during our hike so it felt very special. Our legs were quite sore the next day so we definitely needed this little workout!

When I say Dave was such a phenomenal guide, that is understatement. From making sure we had anything we requested from fresh pineapple and coconut water, it was prepared. Us having fun and our safety was is top priority. Last he knew how to capture all our meaningful moments while doing excursion. I would highly recommend this activity and Dave.

Magical, Unique, and Forever in My Heart I’ve been coming to Jamaica since I was a kid, and now at 40, I can confidently say that Mayfield Falls is one of the most magical and unique places on the island. No matter how many times I visit, I’m always in awe. The spiritual and breathtaking nature walk through the river is like nothing else — it’s peaceful, healing, and full of natural beauty. Every step feels like a reset for the soul. And the food! There’s a lady who has been working there for years, and let me tell you, her cooking is hands down some of the most amazing food you’ll ever taste in Jamaica. Authentic, flavorful, and made with love — it’s unforgettable. I honestly can’t say enough about how much I love this place. Mayfield Falls will always be a part of my Jamaican story, and I’ll never stop telling people how special it is.

This was a very beautiful and exciting excursion. The water was cool and water flow /current was strong but thankfully we had Super David - our very knowledgeable and impressive guide who helped us to negotiate the quarter of mile tour. David advised us of every single crevice and hole to avoid and exactly where to step safely. David knew the falls like the back of his hand. David was reassuring, funny and friendly guide who was safety conscious. Plus he took priceless pictures of us at various stages of the tour. If you need to do this tour David is the man Big up yourself David - One Love

We drive because we had rental car but anybody can go there by a car or having a local guide take you there also there is a $25 entrance fee per person. The good part of this place is once you come out after the excursion they also offer a meal and the prices are affordable. The people over there the guides are really knowledgeable and when you go through the falls, it’s really easy. It’s not a very dangerous or complicated hike, but after the excursion the way back coming up has a kind of a steep walk so if you are not good walking steep Hill. This will be a challenge for you. Our guide Andray was amazing, friendly and very patient and took our time and privacy. Also he also showed us about a lime stone massage that we applied on our whole bodies (kind of mudd full with minerals that are good for the skin). The visit to a breathtaking natural waterfall in Jamaica was nothing short of magical surrounded by tropical greenery and soothing sound of cascade water. This hidden gym offered a perfect escape into nature the crystal clear water with refreshing, cool and making it an ideal spot to swim and relax. Overall, visiting this natural wonder was unforgettable experience that left me feeling rejuvenated and connected to Jamaica’s incredible beauty. I can’t wait to return.

Abeokuta Paradise Nature Park

Mentioned on
1 list
Park
Nature & Parks
Abeokuta Paradise Nature Park, opened in 2003 and named to honor the Nigerian ancestors of Jamaican laborers, offers a serene and natural experience. The park's steep road leads to a hidden gem where visitors can enjoy guided nature walks, taste freshly picked coconut water, and take a dip in Jamaica's oldest pool. While the park may be challenging to find without Google Maps and lacks clear signage, it provides an authentic Jamaican water experience with its freshwater Olympic-size swimming pool.
We came across Abeokuta via Google maps when looking for interesting places to visit which were not the usual fair. Firstly, follow the road as per Google map as there is no sign on the entrance of the road that you're on the right "path". Secondly, be sure to go in an SUV or similar rugged vehicle as the road is a dirt track. Thirdly when you get to the top of the road you'll see a heavily obscured sign and that is the entrance road to Abeokuta. Follow it but be warned it is a steep dirt track. Once you do this you'll have been on an adventure but what lies ahead is worth all this. They don't get many visitors as it's not on the main tourist lists which is great because it become a private experience for you. We did make contact via WhatsApp first to check it was ok to come and we we're answered straight away so we knew when we got there the bar/restaurant was closed. Please wear sturdy footwear if you take the tour (it's optional but it's worth doing) preferably something you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Also wear insect repellent if you're not already bit you will be. The tour by Boogie (I hope I spelt that right) is very informative, funny and inspiring. You get to walk along the aqueduct and take in the history, nature and environment. You're then taken through the community which is their home and place of work where you can see great crafts skills. Just before you arrive at the pool of water the history of the land and inhumanity of man really hits home as there in front of you are the remnants of a enslaved peoples holding pen and office. However because you start the tour focusing on the present and future, and you are there to see the community and the unique place they have created the past become just that- the past. So although the circumstances of the pool's existence is tainted, the spirit and legacy of people who created it and their skills, knowledge and ingenuity live on through the celebration.of life, nature and the environment that is Abeokuta. The pool (which you can use without the tour) changes colour like the sea depending on the sun. you'll be shown how to use the rope swing if you want. The views of Petersfield and it's hills are breathtaking. There is a waterfall too which you can follow down. We saw photos of people getting married here and I'm not surprised as it is the most idyllic setting. The peacefulness and tranquility of the place leave you feeling stress free and relaxed to the point you can easily forget time exists and fall asleep. This is a perfect place to understand what makes Jamaica, Jamaica.

This place is a private residence. The owner lives here with his family, but gives tour of the plantation and allows the use of the pool for a fee ($10 USD). Recommend driving in from the south end (much better road). History hides here.

My husband daughter and I visited the Nature Pk very recently and were not disappointed. Its not an easy place to find so best to use Google maps . The road is steep so be prepared but it's a hidden gem. Our guide boogie the owners son was excellent taking us on the nature walk explaining about all the plants fruits and waterfalls and streams . We tasted freshly picked coconut water, It is so peaceful and natural . Definitely a trip worth taking a memory we won't forget.
Seasondrummer — Google review
The community of Abeokuta and the nature park is greatly in need of infrastructural development a proper road is a must. The nature park can be enjoyed, but when visiting bring things that can make u comfortable. The ministries of tourism and culture should think about developing the area
Rohan F — Google review
What's there not to love about getting to take a dip in the oldest pool in Jamaica? This place is amazing! Google maps gets you close. I had to ask locals how to get there. Unfortunately, there's not a single road sign for this place which would have been very useful while I was trying to find it. There is no food at the venue so bring your own. I wish I would have known that...I would have stayed and enjoyed the place longer.

It was the most amazing experience! The guides were very attentive and kept you from hitting the edge of the river. They explained things and we had a ball. I would highly recommend this adventure. We went the week after Christmas on a Sunday. There was no one else there and we had the river to ourselves. I would recommend you wear water shoes. Thank you gentlemen We will be back next Christmas.

"I recently had the chance to visit the new and developing water attraction in Williamsfeild, Westmoreland and I was blown away by the experience! Although it's still under development, the potential is already evident. This place is like a hidden Gem 💎. If you are in for an authentic Jamaican experience, believe when I say this is it. I had the chance to do River tubing (first timer 😅), and I must say the experience was amazing, for a brief moment I had forgotten about life and its challenges as relaxation creeped in as I cruised downstream. I also stepped out of my comfort zone for a second time and did horse 🐎 back riding, which was another magical experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained by the beautiful Sharlene. What really impressed me, though, was the vision for the future of the attraction. The developers have amazing plans in store, I can already imagine how much fun it's going to be when it's all complete! I'm so excited to see this attraction continue to grow and develop. It's already a great place to visit, and I have no doubt it's going to become a must-see destination for anyone in the area and visitors from overseas. Don’t take my word for it, go experience it yourself. Keep up the fantastic work, and I'll be back soon to do the ATV tour.

Juta Tours Lucea Taxi Driver

Transportation
My family and I spent the day with Evette and Captain K during an excursion while in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This was one of the best parts of our trip. Evette was our tour guide and Captain K was the driver. They were awsome. Since we didn't really know what we wanted to do, they took us around town for shopping, to a small fruit stand where they had the freshest, and sweetest fruit ever. Then they took us to a beach where we were entertained by the locals. If you go to Montego Bay, you have to ask for Evette and Captain K. They took great care us while we were there.

the company really needs to train their staff that a tip is for amazing service, and not mandatory. asking the customer "make sure ya leave a tip mon" is unacceptable. otherwise the drivers get you from a to b no problem.

Despite its name, the bay offers a tranquil escape with soft sands and calm waters perfect for swimming. The area is home to several beachfront resorts, including Sunset at the Palms, which offers a romantic setting with treehouse-style accommodations and a range of land and sea activities.

Beautiful Beach, however if you aren't part of one of the many resorts along the front, you cant sit anywhere, Not even on the sand... except one small area which has little to no shade. The site also offers mud massages and horseback riding nearby at Paradise Park. It's an ideal place to escape from city and beach routines, with friendly locals adding to the experience.
This place is a hidden gem, You have to travel some back roads into the hills. The blue hole is nice. It offers guests a twenty five foot plunge into 35 ft of spring water. The owner was more than hospitable, And the staff were very friendly. Beautiful views and the rooms seemed very nice.

Such a beautiful place! Fun and exhilarating to jump to your certain death! 🤣 took some time to work up the courage but I did it! Also fun to lounge around down there in the cool waters on the inner tubes they have for shared use. They also have life jackets, a lifeguard, a bar and waiting area for drivers, and an optional weed farm tour. Entry fee was $20 usd per person for the blue hole. Very nice staff and term clean and well organized! it is a small place so if you have a couple of large groups it would be crowded very quickly. The entry road was small and rough, and despite what Uber says, no one will pick you up to take you there! You have to find a driver who will take you and wait or go with a tour group. I would recommend just going w/ a taxi so there aren't automatically a ton of other people there
Lainy K — Google review
It's smaller than we expected but worth the drive! The water is refreshing and there are several heights to jump from or a ladder to climb down. There's also a mineral water fed swimming pool, a bar and a restaurant. It was a highlight for us and I highly recommend it.
Jessica K — Google review
The Blue Hole Mineral Spring was a fun experience. It is $20 per person to swim, so a total of $40 for the two of us. It is a little remote like 40 min drive from West End Negril where we were staying and the road for about the second half of the drive is fairly narrow with a lot of pot holes. We had a little Toyota with small wheels so I would recommend a car with larger wheels or better would be an SUV if you drive yourself like we did. If you’re only interested in the Blue Hole itself like we were then you prob only need 30 min to an hour there as it is just the one hole to jump into/swim and it isn’t extremely large. The jumps are roughly 20 to 30 ft depending on which side of the hole you jump from. Overall it was a fun and adventurous experience (including the drive) especially if you like to jump from high places like we do. It was $40 total for us since we already had the car, but it might be a little expensive if you need to hire a driver/taxi plus admission.
Kekoa K — Google review
Visited early on a Sunday so there was no waiting to get in. Our guide was patient and helped us with the climb up the river. Not sure what I expected but this is not a calm river and the pools are deep judging by the color of the water It’s a dark deep blue. The water was cold as river water always is. Beautiful place would definitely visit again.
Lena-Anne C — Google review
This is not an activity or site worth $20. Simply to walk around they charge $10 and to swim it is $20 per person. It is a literal hole. There is not much around either. The best part was a view from the top of the house but even that is skippable at $10 entry fee. Do not waste your time driving to this site.
Sia T — Google review
Nice place for a day trip. Blue Hole is off the beaten path and is not a big tourist spot. They offer a mineral water pool and a fun 25 foot "hole" that you can take the ladder down or if you are brave enough jump down and hang out in the water. There is a bar, 10 room hotel with a great view of the mountains and sea on the top of the hotel. Low key no pressure place to hang out at the pool or bar.

Stanley's Deep Sea Fishing is highly recommended for a great experience with a knowledgeable crew. It's advised to go directly to the experts and avoid vendors who may not be equipped for deep sea fishing. The crew of the One Love fishing boat provided an enjoyable six-hour trip, catching various fish including Black Fin Tuna, Trigger fish, Blackjacks, Rainbow Runners, and even a Black Tip Shark.
We chartered the One Love fishing boat today for six hours. It started off slow but finally caught a nice Black Fin Tuna after a couples hours of trolling. Stephen and Tony spotted a bamboo tree floating a little later and that’s when the fun began! It had a ton of fish under it and it took all we had to catch one after another. We caught Trigger fish, Blackjacks, Rainbow Runners and a Black Tip Shark! Stephen and Tony really helped out and kept us on the fish. They was very informative and showed us how to hand line them without using a pole! This will be a memory for my son and I forever. Thanks Stanley's Deep Sea Fishing and everybody that works there. We had a blast!!!

Crew was great unfortunately that side of jamaica doesn’t seem to have much fish? Better to fish the north or east shore. These guys give you more of a tour than fishing, evident by not jigging/changing bait, doing something different to attract the fish(like other companies do)etc. It was good to be on the ocean, but they aren’t that good at producing bites. Mostly just blind driving waiting for a bite. I think these guys specialize more in diving and water sports than fishing. There are better fishing companies in Jamaica, just keep looking. Also they are fairly pricey for what they deliver. Would not use them again. 2 out of 5 solely for the fishing side of the excursion. After $1000 USD all we had to show was 1 small tuna weighing 3 pounds in the boat. Again, the crew was awesome, very friendly and accomodating. 5/5 👍🏽👍🏽 Thanks captain and deckhand for the trip.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I went out with a group for deep sea fishing and it was a complete waste. They troll at ridiculously high speeds. You could literally see the lure skipping across the surface. No live bait was used, and unsurprisingly, we caught nothing. I gave them a second chance with a bottom fishing trip. We got a few bites, but they were nothing more than tiny reef fish. For about $800 total, I caught maybe three undersized fish. On top of that, I fell during the trip and ended up with a nasty bruise, not to mention getting seasick. I asked for a refund at least for the deep sea fishing, but have been strung along for over a month with no resolution. Save yourself the money and frustration. These guys clearly don’t care about their customers.

Captain Stanley’s Crew was Professional & Really Great @ what they Do. They will work hard to help you catch Fish. Unfortunately I had an off day with only 1 fish in 7 hrs but not bc of a lack of trying. Seeing Dolphins 15 miles out was an Unforgettable Experience. I’m am for Sure going back out with them again next time. Oh, They even used a smaller boat to pickup my family & add bring them to meet us. We had a Spectacular Time 🐬🐬

Great experience and great crew. I recommend that you go directly to the experts and bypass all the vendors that say they will take you deep sea fishing but not equipped to do so. I had many locals on the beach that say they can take you fishing. Ask specific questions like does your boat have a cabin and bathroom. Not just a umbrella and bucket. You don’t want to get your family out on water and find no shade and no real bathroom. We were pleased with All the staff and hospitality. Will do it again.

I cannot say enough about Stanley's! I have used Stanley's on two separate occasions for scuba diving charters and I have nothing but the absolute best things to say. Stanley and all staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and having the best time. These are some of the greatest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. I would highly recommend Stanley's!

My exceptional day with Stanley’s Deep Sea Fishing and Water Sports surpassed all expectations, offering a seamless blend of exhilarating deep-sea fishing, serene sailing, and a delightful encounter with playful dolphins. From the outset, Stanley’s showcased their commitment to customer service, providing a convenient pick-up from my place of stay, ensuring a smooth and worry-free beginning to my sea adventure. The deep-sea fishing experience was extraordinary, with the crew’s expertise in trolling techniques leading us to success. Catching a stunning blue marlin and tuna was a thrilling highlight, adding to my global fishing experiences across Oman, South Africa, Cyprus, Ecuador, France, Australia, the USA, and many other countries. The cleanliness and maintenance of Stanley’s boat were unparalleled, standing out as the most pristine I have ever encountered in my extensive travels. Sailing on a Hobie Cat offered a more intimate and personalized adventure. With just the guide and me, we navigated the waters, fully immersed in the tranquility and beauty of the ocean. The guide’s skill ensured a safe yet thrilling experience, capturing the essence of sailing. A magical moment unfolded as a group of joyful dolphins graced us with their presence, leaping alongside the boat and adding a touch of wonder to our adventure. Stanley’s, a locally-owned operation, truly stands out for their genuine warmth and dedication to providing a memorable experience. The crew’s passion for the sea and their community shines through, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere that feels like home. In conclusion, Stanley’s Deep Sea Fishing and Water Sports offers a comprehensive and unforgettable sea adventure, combining the thrill of deep-sea fishing, the serenity of sailing, and the joy of wildlife encounters. Their attention to detail, cleanliness, and commitment to local values make them an exceptional choice for sea enthusiasts. I wholeheartedly recommend Stanley’s, and I am grateful for the memories made during this unparalleled day at sea.

The captain does the same thing every time out, goes out for 1.5 hours turns around for the next 1.5 hours then goes a long shore for about 1 hour. No electronics, no real experience, we're serious fishermen and understand you can't always catch fish but these guys don't know anything about deep sea fishing. Don't waste your money

Booby Cay is a small forested island with a simple sandy beach that offers swimming and stunning views of Negril. Visitors can kayak to the island from Point Village Resort or Hedo, where they can enjoy the nice beach and explore a small rocky beach on the other side. It's important to wear closed-toe water shoes due to sharp corals in the water.
You choose your lobster from the selection that was caught that day. The person prepared it to perfection and served it with rice and some steamed veggies that were delicious.

Big thanks to Don,Got one of his boats over to the island via snorkelling at a reef, had a great lobster and crab lunch at his place. A bit rough and ready but the food was amazing!!! Then we were left to sunbathe and swim for as long as we wanted to. Called the boat back for us at the end of the day! We spent nearly 7hrs in total having a perfect day!!

🌴 Booby Cay Island – A Hidden Gem Just Off Negril! 🛥️🐚 This was my very first time visiting Booby Cay Island, and let me tell you, it’s one of Jamaica’s best kept secrets! Just a quick 30-minute boat ride from Negril and you feel like you’ve entered paradise. ⚓ We booked our trip with Captain Jace, who operates a glass-bottom boa, such a cool way to travel across those beautiful Caribbean waters! The package included it all: • 🐟 Fresh seafood (your choice!) • 🦞 Surf & turf • 🍗 Jerk chicken full of real Jamaican flavor • 🤿 Snorkeling in clear blue water • 💦 An unforgettable island experience! 🔥 The food? Absolutely mouthwatering. The jerk and grilled seafood were seasoned to perfection. 🙌 Captain Jace and his team? Professional, friendly, and made us feel right at home. 🌊 Whether you’re a local or visiting Jamaica, add Booby Cay to your list. It’s peaceful, full of natural beauty, and truly a slice of heaven you don’t want to miss.

Trash everywhere, lobster was $40 was a bit meh, could’ve skipped it. Snorkeling near by was great - lots of fish at the reef

Beautiful small island that you can kayak to from Point Village Resort or Hedo. Beach isn't big but it's nice and there's another small rocky beach on the other side after a short walk. There are sharp corals in the water so wear closed toe water shoes. A few picnic tables in the shade and sometimes there's a nice man who serves fresh lobsters and drinks. Weekends could see many tour boats from Negril.

Went with my 7 year old. Took the boat from @Rays Water Sports so it was just about a 3 minute ride over. Water was nice but best ask @Scooby-Doo where to swim as there are sea urchins hiding in the sand. Seafood, fruits and refeshment was available for purchase. Nice and quiet.

It's a popular destination for visitors seeking world-class views and relaxation. The area offers a variety of amenities and attractions, from nearby Dunns River Falls to the historic Negril Lighthouse. Many of Jamaica's best all-inclusive resorts are located along this beach, providing easy access to its beautiful white sands and clear turquoise waters.
It was a good experience.. I had thought 7 Miles Beach was like a beach for itself, but I know it’s a long walk if walking. But sections were taken. But anyway, we used Magaritaville, it was great, I loved the beach nonstop… 🏝️ Ville, food always up but dare! 👀 Enjoyed myself and it was a full day today..

Perfect beach in Jamaica & Caribbean. Warm waters, casual & relaxed atmosphere, no stop lights, very controlled with really amazing policing with many police patrol on the negril seven mile beach to ensure everyone feels safe at all times. Also controlled by plane clothing policing/undercover who would remove persons from the beach if caught patronizing tourist for food, drinks , goods & other unwelcome services. Negril beach is so beautiful and rocks cafe is a highlight. So many places to have dinner and reggae horseback riding is the best option for ocean swim, shaded trail ride and the only one mile of private white sand to enjoy a romantic and family ride with love ones. Reggae horseback offers free unlimited photos & videos for every person with a phone/camera. Negril also has Reggae Horseback & Golf Packages. Many attractions to visit & play golf too. Negril seven mile beach is the most beautiful beach. Marijuana tours, ostrich tour at reggae horseback, and visit other rustic & natural unspoiled beaches🐎🐎🐎🇯🇲

Beautiful water, I have nothing bad to say about this beach. We went in the middle of July, 2025, the water was clear and calm. I did spot a sting ray, star fish and various fishes near the shallow area. People do offer to sell you things on the beach but it's not overwhelming. Various excursions are available near this location

Even if you don't participate in the Reggae Marathon, the Negril Seven Mile Beach is a beautiful beach to visit. I absolutely loved my time here. There's seven miles of beach, so there's more than enough room to grab some sand and chill. The water is calming and clear, but there are areas where it's "busy". Every beach has its spots and this beach is no exception.

Visited end of October 2023. Beach is nice but waves shifting sands towards afternoon so I went in the morning and the water was crystal clear see through. Love the vibes very chill and ‘seven mile’ gives enough space for everyone. Must watch sunset !

Probably one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited. Chill vibes and warm water coupled with fresh juice and patty vendors, what more could you want. Check out Best in the West chicken nearby or just get delicious chicken from the many barrel vendors. Spent New year's eve swimming under the fireworks and paper lanterns. It was magical.

Shopping
Time Square Shopping Mall is a clean and diverse shopping destination with numerous stores offering a variety of items such as souvenirs, clothing, coffee, spirits, cigarettes, and cigars. Visitors can find unique items and even engage in some bargaining at certain shops. One visitor had a positive experience at a store called Sunny Side (number 10), where they found honest prices and an amiable owner. Despite encountering some negative reviews about the mall, this particular shop provided a pleasant shopping experience.
I bought t-shirts, magnets and some other little things in a shop called Sunny side. It's number 10. I don't know how good you are at negotiating prices, but to me it's too tiring. I prefer a shop like this where the prices look honest and the owner either. We made the calculation of the final price, after checking some bad reviews of the mall, and in this shop we got the right one. I hope this review will be helpful to someone
Valeria S — Google review
The were plenty of shops to look around at when doing the shopping experience with beaches. Reasonable prices at all shops. Similar items at all shops with some differentiation.

Interesting place. You can buy everything you want. Souvenirs, clothes, alcohol and other. Clear and large. There is tour agency on the territory and "duty free" zone. You can buy a transition to an American electrical outlet in the pavilion 10 - only $ 2.
Proлет — Google review
The mall is conveniently located near the beach in Negril. A nice little mall with many souvenir shops you can browse through. Some shops are more expensive than others with the same products so browse first. My family and I were happy to find a small grocery shop where we bought snacks, drinks, other necessary items. The owner and his wife are helpful and friendly.

A few regular stores selling all things from Jamaica.. all the same.. safe..clean.. lovely sales people.

Souvenir and gift shops, as well as a place to relax and have a drink. The shops are small and offer only affordable souvenirs. Nice place. I personally impressed Bob Marley's statue. Do not expect any boutique shops 🇯🇲

BE CAREFUL!! This is suppose to be DUTY FREE. However, LAMCY EXCLUSIVE GIFT SHOP (SHOP #4A) a charge tax of approximately 24% on COFFEE AND ALCOHOL. Very disappointing. We all found SUNNYSIDE Gift (SHOP #10), to be tax free and sell items at a reasonable rate. Please check Sunnyside gift shop #10, out.
Jay M — Google review
Please remember that not all of the shops are honest. Especially shop 4A operated by Vickie, he has a sweet tongue. He told us one price and charged us another. This location is Duty Free, but he charges duty in a very slick way. Buyer Be Ware...

Barney's Botanical Garden in Jamaica is a charming and intimate garden that offers a delightful experience for nature enthusiasts. The garden is home to a diverse array of exotic hummingbirds and vibrant tropical flora, creating a picturesque setting for visitors to explore. The knowledgeable staff provides insights into the different species of hummingbirds found in the Blue Mountains, as well as tips on how to attract these beautiful birds to the garden.
I visited Barney’s in February 2025 with my fiancée and his grandmother and we all had an excellent time. If you are a lover of birds and gardening, this is a great way to see a variety of exotic plants in one place. We went at 4PM and the hummingbirds were a bit shy, but if you are patient they will make an appearance. We were very excited to see a doctor bird (Jamaica’s national bird) in person! Barney was great to chat with and showed us the main hummingbird species that are found in Jamaica. If it’s possible and you can, I would try visiting the gardens in the morning when it’s not as hot for the birds. Other than that though we really enjoyed ourselves and plan to return the next time we are in Negril.
Leah H — Google review
A very lovely hour spent looking around this little jewel of a garden. We were very lucky and saw an adolescent Swallow Tail Hummingbird (Doctor Bird) You NEED to be Patient and Quiet!! So if you can't sit still for more than 5 minutes, this will not be for you! In addition, remember this is a garden that is lucky enough to have Hummingbirds visit not a bird park, so nothing is guaranteed.
Paul H — Google review
The staff here was super inviting and knowledgeable about different species of hummingbirds. The hummingbirds are usually found in the Blue Mountains, but Barney has curated a garden with specific features to draw the hummingbirds to this side of the island. We got to see 3 of the national bird and 2 mangoes. I had one come right up to my feeder and feed from my hand. Go early on the morning or late in the day as the birds prefer cooler temperatures and shade. Expect to spend 1-2 hours here. Cash only if you pay in person and do not reserve online.
Hannah R — Google review
I am sorry to say but this place is not worth visiting in it's current state. (Taxi and Entry fees cost three of us over $150) The owner cares for it deeply but it's a shadow of it's previous glory. We later visited Rockland's near Mobay which gave us an amazing experience feeding Hummingbirds and many other species.

Day 7 – As we awoke on our last morning in the deep west, we had to make a stop at Barney's botanical garden. A beautiful sanctuary full of firecracker flowers, bromeliads and heliconia blooms along with hummingbirds; we arrived at 10am when Barney, bless him, wasn't expecting us – he was a quaint man from Germany – and he had a big heart for hummingbirds and his plants. We were welcomed and given a tour. The garden isn't too big but is perfect to watch where the birds go. We realised after 30-50 mins when others arrived that patience was a virtue. Several, approximately 4-6 others, showed, however, had no patience for nature and missed out on feeding these beautiful creatures. We got to feed them several times (not all caught on camera), which was incredible to see their colours and hear their sounds. We gathered they liked the colour red, as Barney wore red as were the sugar water bottles, so we used our incentive. Our good friend Emily brought us some croc-like purses, which we used to carry money. Luckily, mine was red and actually attracted them closer to us. We spent a good 2-3 hours at Barneys, and it was the most magical morning. Thank you, sir! Keep up the good work protecting these beautiful creatures.

Fantastic morning. Barney welcomed us in and gave us some information about the birds and a feeder. We saw lots of humming birds and got to hand feed a few. Lots of beautiful flowers and insects as well. Would recommend going early before the sun it too hot.

Barney has created a magical sanctuary for many birds and reptiles. It’s a quaint and quiet garden that will leave you with a deep appreciation for the flora and fauna of Jamaica.
Colin H — Google review
Lovely spot with a natural garden and a delighted owner who clearly loves these birds. What a wonderful thing to be able to offer a safe space for these beautiful and endangered birds! Come to spend a couple of hours connecting with the birdies as Barney affectionately calls them, feed them birds from A little sugar bottle, chat to the friendly owner and relax !

The Negril Lighthouse, a historic concrete structure dating back to 1894, is a must-see attraction for visitors to Jamaica. With its 103 stairs leading to the top, it offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean and is particularly renowned for its stunning sunset vistas. While access may be limited at times, local taxi drivers can provide valuable insights on its opening hours. The lighthouse's picturesque grounds make it an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts.
It’s worth going to visit it. It’s not always open. I recommend taking a taxi, because they know when it is open and they can even open the doors to visit the lighthouse
