During our stay in Trinidad this was by far one of our most favourite places. Surrounding the square there are a number of historical sites including a couple of churches. Leading up to the square are the numerous cobblestone streets and of course it would not be Cuba with some old and antique cars everywhere. The Plaza Mayor is one of the most popular places because it is one of the few were Wi-Fi connection and Internet is possible. The crowds that gather are lovely to watch and just sitting and enjoying the ambience is probably all you need to do.

Plaza Mayor is a beautiful and historic place. Vistors will enjoy the art gallery, two amazing museums (one with a bell tower), and historical architecture. The musuems focus on the culture, the practices, and showcase the revolution. This place is a must see.

Nice building to walk around in. The artifacts are nice, but descriptions are only in spanish. This governmental museum has some shops in the tower of their building selling nice paintings od Cuban artists depicting streetwise for reasonable prices. The view from the top of the tower over the city us impressive. Only this is already worth the entrance fee.

Museum itself is quite okay - nothing breathtaking though. A highlight of the visit is the view from the tower - a must-see point in Trinidad tour. You will get to see above the roofs of houses - splendid view!

My husband and I strolled into here two weeks ago behind a group so ended up avoiding the cover. Really glad we did as it’s 5CUC to take photos which is crazy. The interior is just lovely: a bit dilapidated like all of Trinidad but also delicate 19th century colors and decor all about. There are some haphazard exhibits- some in English- on Trinidad’s overall history but much is not translated and there is no information on the furniture and such. The views from the tower are stunning, SO much better than the views from La Popa. Note of warning, you’re still expected to pay for the bathroom which is again insane if you’ve already paid to enter the museum!!

The largest waterfall in cuba we were told. The water is sourced from mountain spring. The natural surroundings are beautifull and relaxing. Many people go there to take a swim to cool off. Definitely worth visiting. The road to the fall is unfortunately not in a good shape.

Best activity I went on in Cuba!!! Absolutely stunning waterfalls that you can swim in, there's even a jungle tour to a cave. We got a taxi from Cienfuegos and got there around 10:30 (come as early as possible because it got busy later on).

We went from cienfuegos to El Nicho. Trip was suppose to cost 15 euro pp we ended up paying 20 euro pp for the trip and 10 euro pp entrance fee. We were travelling with 6 in one car. Make sure to watch out for 'all included trips'. I really cant grasp the idea that a government organisation would ask for euro instead of CUP. El Nicho itself is beautiful, small and bit crowded (we went in low season). The place itself is not big, 500m walk from the parking. Water is very refreshing cold. Beautiful setting and lovely water for swimming. Short walk through some easy terrain to get to the pools - good fun to go off the trails and explore the surrounding jungle. Quite expensive access.

The site of the celebrated ambush and victory by the Revolutionary forces (led by Che' Guevara) over Batista's forces. Hugely interesting if you have knowledge of Cuba's history. I felt emotional being there....recommended.

This park is really easy to get to - just walk east down the high street, and keep going on along the more normal looking street, and across the bridge - it is hard to miss, and has a tourist shop opposite. It is also worth making a trip to the statue of Che that is further along the same road (another 5 minute walk)

This place is like an open museum. You can enter the old wagons and see objects used during the revolution. However, there aren't many things to see here.

Historical place. This important revolution action happen there. A convoy of munitions and arms was send to Batista. This secret convoy was known by Che Guevara and compagnero. Just before getting in the town, convoy was attact, but with no effect, was well protected. Using a Bulldozer, the rebel finally derail the train at this place. Next day, Batista flew Cuba.

Park celebrating Che overcoming overwhelming odds to stop a government armoured train with a bulldozer and a handful of men. Unfortunately the armoured carriages were locked when we visited because of a holiday.

Interesting museum. Several train wagons positined after the crash. In every wagon information of the attack and aditional information of Che Guevara. Also some armours used then are to be seen. At the other side of the road is a souvenir shop. The hole place is covered with a little nationalistic sauce. But for a visit of one hour, it's certainly worth it.

After a week in Cuba the seemingly universal cult of personality around Che Guevara (much more so than Fidel Castro who we were told is generally less fondly regarded than Guevara ) and the Cuban Revolution was wearing a bit thin. Yes, both men are very important figures in Cuba's history and yes, the revolution they led ultimately overthrew the brutal Bastida dictatorship, but what did they really achieve for normal Cubans? The roads are almost unusable because of huge potholes, people use the horse (mule?) and cart as their main mode of transport, public transport barely exists, poverty and unemployment are rife and even their renowned medical workers may be excellent but they have no machines or medication with which to treat patients and yet Che Guevara in particular is lauded as a national hero despite being Argentinian. His mausoleum area is quite impressive all the same. There is a small museum to the right full of random items - a pistol Che once fired, a pai of binoculars Che once used to spot the enemy n the jungle etc. - but quite interesting, especially the work that went into creating it with everything that could be associated with Che deemed worthy of display. To the left is the mausoleum itself which is made up of several 'drawers' in the wall, containing the ashes of each named revolutionary The enormous statues standing guard over the entire complex are also impressive in size, but once seen, there's not really anything else to see or do at the site which overall isn't wheelchair friendly - no adaptation even leading up to the entrance where a flight of concrete stairs awaits...

Emotional place to visit and is a must if you are in Cuba. You are not allowed to take pictures inside of the mausoleum or museum but you will definitely take some great memories from this place with you. Highly recommend to visit if you have the chance.

Worth visiting place but no photos allowed inside of the museum. We saw so many students were there for their revolutionary education. The statue of Che was a good work. Huge open space in front of the statue for you to take photos.

Along with seeing the train museum this monument to Ernesto “Che” Guevara is also an historical site. It is situated in Plaza Che Guevara (Che Guevara Square) in Santa Clara. As every Cuban knows Che Guevara was an Argentinean medical student who became a leading figure of the Cuban Revolution to overthrow the right-wing dictator, Fulgencio Batista. The monument complex includes several monuments to Che, including an 82-foot statue of the man himself and his mausoleum.

Worth a visit if you are in Santa Cruz.

My sole purpose of going to Santa Clara was to visit Che Guevera museum and I am glad I made all the efforts to be there. We stayed a night in Santa Clara, it was a great experience to see the small worn out city along with this well-kept Museum. It’s not a huge museum but it’s absolutely a good history lesson to understand this famous and somewhat controversial personality. The Museum hosts items used by Che and 29 of his fellow revolutionaries. You can feel their struggle for revolution through the items and pictures. It’s free of charge however mobile phones and cameras are not allowed to take inside. You will have to deposit those before you enter. At the time we visited, it wasn’t as crowded as mentioned by some of the reviews I read. There is a small café and a small souvenir shop next to it too. If you are planning your trip to Cuba and crossing by Santa Clara, I would highly recommend a detour and visit this place (of course only if you are interested in Cuban revolution and Che)

Attention: always ask for the price of the food and drinks, also the chairs and the umbrella (we are not even sure, if the umbrella is really private property..!) the prices are similar to europe, actually even more expensive! + the beach is pretty with nice sand

Very good diving, there is even a small cave to swim through. The bay is shallow, covered with sea grass which gives home for zillions of animals. The food at the beach restaurant is quite good. Very friendly guests helped with translation.

A big concrete park just down the road from our hotel - Meliá San Carlos - and opposite the main theatre, the Parque José Martí is a nice place to relax and go for a stroll. Old men playing chess in the shade and tourists like us taking photos and listening to our respective guides talking about José Martí - a Spanish guy who is a bit of a national hero after devoting much of his life to the cause of Cuban independence. This park, a big monument in Plaza de le Revolución and the country's main international airport, to name but a few things, are all named after him and I'm sure there are many other sites around the country named in his honour too.

The park is the central point of town with the only triumphal arch in Cuba erected by homesick French settlers. It is surrounded by the most important buildings such as the Cathedral, Government House, Teatro Terry, Palacio Ferrer, musical dome.

Today, August 10, 2025, I visited the TTT cafe alone, just to the right, as we see the Tomas Terry Theater in Cienfuegos. As soon as I entered the theater, theater employees urged me to go to the TTT cafe if I wanted to drink something, almost urgently. Since I wanted to drink a coffee and have a bite to eat, I went. I ended up ordering two sandwiches and, since it was very hot, three small cans of local beer. The sandwiches were tiny, with ham and poor quality bread. I ate them anyway, since I was hungry. The theater is restored to its former glory, really beautiful. Participated at a very socialistic performance, nicely done. It was interesting to see the hole theater public standing in attention when the first two rows were filled up with delayed local politicians and their families. Not even a king gets such attention as a local politician. The theater was filled with students and military personal, the ovations were deafening.

Great place to hang out and swim for the day.. you can pick out a secluded spot for peace and quiet too. The food and booze are plentiful ... Not the best, but you can drink all day ! We cycled there from Playa Giron.

It's a jaw-dropping place!!! I visited during late September. I terribly got burn but wether was wonderful to chill with my wife. $15 will satisfy you with compact lunch and free drinks from 10am until 4pm.

We loved this place, incredible still blue water for snorkelling, buffet lunch wasn't great but drinks were good and overall great value for money.

I went there but not with a guided trip. I had the worst experience in the entire Cuba. They tried to get money to watch our bicycles when our Airbnb host told us that we shouldn't pay anything if we arrive by bicycles. Then, the kitchen was already closed (we arrived 2/3 hours before closing time) and they asked us to pay the full price for the whole day when it includes food. Awesome and it has WIFI.... When your done go to the far beach called Playa Los Cocos which is nicer than the hotel one. If you like adventure ask about renting a horse. Ask anyone as they all know the guy who rents horses. They are well cared for, well fed and the 2.5 houres tour cost me 10CUC (I gave him 20 as I had the time of my life).

Very small museum split into two wings charting the failed CIA-backed invasion here. Unfortunately, everything is in Spanish which makes it difficult to connect with the exhibits. Bring a translator if you're visiting. The intact ex-WW2 vehicles outside the museum were the most interesting things here. You may also have a chance to watch an English subtitled short film about the invasion at the back of the museum, otherwise the whole place takes 30 minutes max to complete.

This is honestly the most beautiful cenote I’ve seen in Cuba. It’s a cool mix of fresh and salt water. You can see freshwater creatures on top and saltwater fish deeper down. The right side goes from around 2 to 3 meters deep to about 23 meters. The left side is even deeper and way more impressive. If you keep going to the far left, that part is absolutely amazing. Most people don’t go that far, but you should definitely try it. Totally worth it!

A nice place to relax away from civilization. We came across a crab migration, there were hundreds of them. You can rest and then go to the other side of the road to the Caribbean Sea where you can snorkel

As a first-time scuba diver, I had a great time at Cueva de los Peces. For 35 USD, you can go snorkling in the Cueva and go scuba-diving with a guide in the sea, on the other side of the road (you can also just do snorkling for 5 USD and they will provide you with a mask). My guide gave a crash-course on basic safety tips and held my arm throughout our dive while showing me giant crabs, eels, fish, corals, etc. I felt safe the whole time.

Amazing fresh water stream -- super deep and crystal clear it feels like you're swimming in bottled mineral water. Suprisingly quiet as well as most people hang out at the beach nearby instead (which is awesome for snorkeling). But this spring-fed stream is just so magical with lots of trees around it as well

First off this used to be a great place. It costs 200 pecos entry but there are no fish. Apparently with the hurricane a few years ago, there are no longer any fish. This is a small cenote and seems somewhat dirty. It gets hoards of bus traffic. We did go snorkeling across the road and that was pretty decent. You have to go about 100m out to the right or left to find some nice coral features.

Best time of my life here! Bring your snorkelling gear and do both sides of the street. When in the cenote, go through the rocks into the smaller part and continue to the end (don't worry it is safe). You can swim down there for an extra 10 minutes one way. It is actually prettier too! You feel like you are swimming in a jungle! I had the crocodile as food, it was fine. Heads up: all the choices at this restaurant are 15CUC so no savings here but there is a booth in the parking lot that offers sandwiches and good BURGERS for 3CUC!!! The ocean part is to die for. I saw huge schools of fish after only a few minutes. I personally liked the corals here, lots of colour and variety. Don't believe the Debbie Downers. There are over 20 dive sites within 10 minutes and many shipwrecks put there on purpose for our entertainment. This is snorkelling paradise! If you try a little you can even see monster groupers, come on, where else can do do all of this FOR FREE???????? Yes I did say free.

Once a beautiful place, but now a dilapidated one. Missing tourists, crumbling equipment, broken boats and hungry crocodiles. When you start talking to the local workers, it is very sad and frustrating. At the restaurant I was first given an overpriced tourist menu and after a reproachful look I was given a half Cuban menu. Even the entrance fee to the farm is, according to the (offensive) Cuban tradition, more than 15 times higher for tourists than for locals.

We were lucky that the criadero (nursery) was practically empty when we visited. It as very hot, so avoiding delays caused by crowds was great. Very educational and well looked-after nature park with loads of Cuban crocodiles at every stage of development from hatchlings to enormous mature adults. Everything was explained to us in great detail and I learned something new about the Bay of Pigs invasion: A lot of the invading troops were killed and eaten by these crocodiles in the swamps around where we were standing. Typical outdoor public toilets, but this time the worst so far. No light, extremely humid, all urinalshadbeen smashed off the walls, no running water to either flush or wash one's hands, and still the matronly guardian of the toilet paper was outside with her wicher bowl! Lunch was included and OK, following the usual pattern of you eat what you're given, no choices and you pay for any drinks - not even water is included. After lunch, we were due to go on a boat trip around the swamp etc, to see the crocs, but it was far too hot and there was no cover on the smallish boat so we decided against going out on the water and barbecuing ourselves! All in all a good visit to see the animals.

It was very interesting, I've never had such respect for crocodiles until i saw them in action for their meal :D Definitely recommend

Very good facilities! I didn’t expect that. You can the Cuban “version” of crocodile, an ancient fish which they try to reserve it before its distinction small crocodile, at a large facility There are shop and restaurants.

Good place to see crocodiles. Gets very crowded in waves as each tour bus arrives. You have to pay to use the washrooms 1 CUCwhich would be ok if it had toilet seats, didn't smell so bad, was actually clean, and provided you with more than 2 sheets of toilet paper. You can pay to feed or hold a croc, 1 CUC.

We also only paid 5 CUC and got a drink for free. It was nice seeing the crocodiles. Hopefully for a good reason, as they stated, that they raise them because the crocodile babies otherwise die. Not so much to see otherwise.

Excellent fun but bring lots and lots of sun anti mosquito spray and loose change in case you want to fishing rod-feed some crocs.

Came here during our trip to Cuba last year. Since we upgraded to the Diamond Club at our resort, we got a free catamaran trip here. Food was good, beach was warm, shallow and clear!!

Beautiful island 🏝 We stopped by the island of Cayo Blanco as part of our 'Sea Tour' excursion and really enjoyed the serene and beauty of the island.

Gone twice now. Great beach , food was relatively adequate (if u like seafood it's a plus) .. beautiful waters in general. I did the basic catamaran the first time ; this 2nd time we did the catamaran with the added feature of the dolphins. Worth it especially as a first time experience. The 2 main land animals you can see while eating @ the buffet are some kind of lizard /iguana and the mini capybara -like rodent. They're mostly harmless but they like to come around you while eating to get any scraps they can.

If you're travelling to Cuba, you better get on a catamaran (boat) and sail to Cayos Blancos. There's a restaurant in the island that offers buffet lunch including lobsters. Water is nice and clear, it's unbelievable!

The island is beautiful but the buffet that they serve at the restaurant is disgusting, with very little options and no higiene at all, birds were picking on the food, rice and pasta were there exposed to the heat with no lids or anything to protect... same as the drinks were very bad quality. It was dissapointing

These caves are located just off the main Varadero highway. You can walk to them from many resorts or take the Hop On bus. They are beautiful caves with ancient artwork in them that is easily visible with a flashlight. Be sure to ask the person at the gate to give you a guided tour and explain what you are seeing. There are also four types of small bats in the caves that are interesting to learn about. Fee was only $5 per person (and be sure to leave something extra for the guide).

There are bats in the cave which are really what make the experience very cool. It is nice for an hour or 2, the cave isn't all that big. The bats are benign. I went there with my boyfriend, very fun, and felt kind of bad for the poor bats since they were sleeping. There were (supposedly) some indigenous paintings on the walls but there weren't all that many and I found them dubious though I'm no archaeologist.

$5 USD per person to enter. The lady at entrance desk was very kind. We visited the caves because they were close to our hotel and it was 100% worth it! We did a 30 minute tour, which was really informative and interesting. Our guide was fantastic and we got some really nice photos. A true hidden gem!

We walked here from our hotel, Laguna Azul - 30 min walk, and it was worth it. For $5, to see wonderful caves, some cave paintings, and BATS! It was incredible. We were fine with the bats flying around us in the cave and seeing them hang there. The caves were much larger than I thought, not huge, but still very beautify. I highly recommend if you are good with the dark and some bats.

I recently visited Cueva de Ambrosio, and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience! The beauty of nature here is breathtaking, from the stunning rock formations to the lush surroundings. One of the highlights is the abundance of bats that call this cave home. I have to admit, I was a bit scared of the bats, but the staff was incredibly helpful and reassuring. She took the time to explain why the bats are vital to the ecosystem and helped me feel more at ease. If you're looking for a unique adventure in nature, I highly recommend visiting Cueva de Ambrosio. You'll leave with unforgettable memories and a newfound appreciation

It’s pretty nice with the lights filtering in through the holes in the ceiling but super small. A lot smaller than I expected based on the other reviews. Admission was 5USD per person which feels quite overpriced considering the size of the cave system and the main point of interest are the bats. Cave paintings feel a bit questionable if they are actually historic or not. Imo 3USD would be more appropriate.

Nice show for kids. There are two shows per day, at 11:00 and 15:30. If you want to swimming with them, there are 3 slots per day, 9:30, 11:30, 16:00. Best is before show, in the morning. Bring the small bills EUR or USD. Entrance for two adults plus one swimming was 80 euros. Pictures and video are another 50 EUR (55 usd or 70 cad per price list). In bar you can buy a beer or lemonade, there is no water and espresso machine doesn’t work :-). Prices are 5 EUR/USD per any drink.

We flew with Air Canada but they dont offer excursions with Dolphins, so we Booked through Nexus Tours in our lobby to see a show and swim with the dolphins. It was $75 USD per person if we took the bus on our own, which was our only choice as the tour only offers pick up and drop off one day a week and we missed it. With direct transfers it would have been $90 USD. The hop on/hop off bus is $5 per person (USD or CAD cash) and it drops you off across the street. The Dolphin show itself is kind of short and its hard to see due to people standing at the fence instead of sitting in the bleachers during the show. The dolphins do some tricks and interact with the trainer which is really fun to watch. The dolphins look healthy and happy, despite the areas they live in not being big enough in my opinion. When it came time to swim with them, we were brought to a different section, told to change into our bathing suits and got a life jacket. My husband and I were with a group of two other women. There is NO opportunity for you to take pictures of your interaction on your own cameras unless you are with someone who is not also swimming. Anyone with you who is not swimming with them will be waiting on the dock and can take some photos/videos. However, the swimming is really just creating photo opportunities for the photographers. You get a kiss from the dolphins, touch their stomachs, they pull you around in a circle, you do a little jump and then do another circle and its essentially over. We did throughly enjoy the interaction and being in the water with them was really cool, but I do wish the importance was put on the experience of the customers and less on the photos. When you're finished, you rinse off and are told to go get your photos. You cannot buy individual photos, you need to buy the whole package. It was $50 USD or $65 CAD. They had no connection for credit cards and we were essentially told too bad. We pushed because we didn't bring cash (our mistake) and after about an hour someone came with a machine. We were charged $65 as Canadians...but our card was charged in USD so we paid $90 for the package instead. They should have charged us $50. So yep, we got scammed and didn't notice until we got back to our resort. Nexus tours was not helpful in correcting this. We got about 20 photos in total for two people and an 8 minute video including the experience of everyone else in the group. Overall, it was a good experience and I didn't feel bad for the dolphins and their conditions as an animal lover. Nothing felt cruel about their envirnment or treatment which I was nervous about. Mostly disappointed in the payment issue.

Paid $40 for family of 3 (two adults, one 4yo), our Spanish is basic but they were explaining everything in English, too. Pic with the dolphin cost $5 for one but both us took a pic. Show takes about 30min. There is really cool playground, too. The only minus...bathrooms. Don't let me start it...

We tried to visit the place after reading the info on their website and my own personal experience from visiting the place years ago. Unfortunately, the price they charge is not what they advertised on their own website. It is not $60 but $83!!! We were shocked but when I showed them the info on their website, they did not acknowledge it and pretended that they knew nothing and the ticket is $83. This is an extortionate price for a few minutes in the water with the dolphins.

Very very informal business. Few things to take into consideration: 1. If you don't speak Spanish, you better buy a tour in your hotel. If you speak Spanish and want to go to buy your tickets at the door, be ready to negotiate the price. The first price that I got was US$80 and I had to push the price down. 2. If you decide to swim with the dolphins, be aware that you cannot take pics but you will be forced to buy a package that includes pics (around 100) and a video. You will also need to negotiate the price as the first price is $US110. 3. The washroom is very dirty

The place was neat, you can access the toilets without giving any tip to anyone. We entered the store and they have limited displays and are priced in American dollars. We were there on a Saturday and hardly no people around. Mostly tourists are seen once in a while. You can access the beach from here.

It's nice and refreshing to see a modern upscale shopping mall in Cuba! It's located by the ocean with beautiful views and very easy access by bus or taxi. The mall is beautiful! It's very spacious, clean and great Covid safety protocols - hand sanitizers in every corner! Lots of outdoor sitting /resting area. There are a few souvenir shops, nice quality and tasteful clothing stores, cigar and rum shops. The prices are higher for quality items, but very unique and worthy. There is a supermarket downstairs with good selections of liquor and beers, but limited selections on other items because of the pandemic. Nicely decorated restaurants and bars, but few of them were open. The price of the items in some shops seems to be in Euro. Most shops accept foreign cash and credit cards. The customer service in shops and supermarket are very friendly, polite and helpful. Overall it was a very present shopping and sightseeing experience away from the hotel. Would definitely recommend if you want to see the modern side of Cuba!

Pricey items, that are outdated. I used to love Colors of Benetton when I went to Europe 20 years ago. They have a store at the Plaza. The Plaza is like shopping at Winner's here in Canada, various items, overpriced, outdated and out of style. All shops have extremely high prices, and I am sure that the shops know this, but they should really decrease the items by about 90% of what they are asking for. This is by no means a comparable place to Rodeo drive in Hollywood CA, but prices are comparable to that. Beautiful spot, Ocean view is spectacular, and great for photos. Restaurant food is about @200 USD each, unreal. They have a little gift shop/vendor area outside the back of the Plaza, we bought souvenirs there. We only visited the Plaza for Cigars, and did not buy anything else. Save your money folks!

The shops were fine, it was really just a grocery store (with no energy drinks, despite the redbull signs). The bathrooms feature a man standing outside charging you to go in, but my washroom didn't have soap in it. Another patron confronted him on the matter saying it was "not fair-o" to charge a fee to pee, given the lack of hygienic standards being met. The purse my girlfriend got was nice, the product offered is as promised, however the dingey environment, and weirdo standing outside the bathroom make for a less than perfect shopping experience.

Other reviewers were right about the market. Avoid this place. They are dishonest. Notice the price tags have no currency on them. So when you get to pay and notice a price difference, they say the price is in EURO but you pay by credit card at the cashier in USD! This is totally messed up. So no matter what currency is your credit card, you will pay an unknown "commission" depending on "products you buy". So they say. How shady is that? And by what other reviewers are saying, the commission is substantial. Like 30 CAD! Just avoid it.

At this mall you can find some stores like: clothing, pharmacy, souvenirs, baby products, coffee and restaurants. All the prices are in USD and they accept credit cards.

It was never open , when we came they always said it’s closed and it will be open tomorrow. So we came the next day and it was open . This happened 2 times . Shops in the mall - space used for the shops 40% , opened shops 25%. Italian restaurant , cocktail bar, pharmacy with very few things, some gift shops , one grocery store , bank. Cash machines not working. They give you only pesos in the bank so take dollars or euro with you to Cuba . I recommend to buy all souvenirs or small gifts in airport ( it’s much cheaper and a lot to choose from ) . Rum or cigars - I recommend to buy in the mall or somewhere in the city. So this place has a lot of potential but… I know now is not very good time for Cuba. The mall it’s in beautiful location , by the beach . So close and the beach it’s just breathtaking. I hope they will do some terraced restaurants or bars from that side of the mall.

Not so much to choose. Everyone will send you here to buy some local rum, but unfortunately there isn't much to choose from, just lots of bottles of the same brand. This place is nice, staff is friendly, they offer you rum tasting and you find cigars here as well. But that’s it, same bottles you can find in any hotel or at the airport with the same price.

Very nice place with friendly staff and a wide selection of rum and a smaller selection of cigars. There's a tasting area, I would be sure to take your time there. They accept CUC and credit cards, with a 3% fee, which is handy if you end up buying more than you planned - which you might after trying some samples. Prices for rum are quite a bit cheaper than in Canada.

I came in with a tour and we did a rum and liqor taste test. Seriously, get the dark legendario, so delicious! This is a great place to buy the bottles of liquor you want to take home. The prices are some of the best I've seen. Great selection!

I visited this place through TUI, we tasted 11 different kinds of rum and liquors , it was a great experience. You can buy all kinds of them for reasonable price except Santiago de Cuba-in airport is around £13

During my trip to Cuba I visited Varadero 3 times, on each of my 3 trips this place was a must stop. The views are beautiful, the staff are lovely and the drinks are to die for. One of the bartenders said they had the best Pina Colada in Varadero, and I agree, it was definitely the best one I had! Love this park and cant wait to visit again on my next trip!

The parc ruined my wedding. We paid a big sum of money to use the bar in the parc as a private event. They did not respect that and allowed anyone in. The alcohol we had purchased disappeared very fast because random cubans who were not part of our wedding were drinking our alcohol, people who we didn't invite ate our wedding food. As the bride, I didn't eat at all because they forgot to make my food completely and then they shut it down hours earlier than what was in the contract. My husband had put his backpack behind the bar to keep it safe and someone stole it. Some random lady who was not part of the wedding let my 7 year old autistic kid get on the paddleboat without knowing who she belonged to, I caught that just in time and got her before she was completely on the boat. It was pitch black at that point. They didn't respect anything. Never book a wedding there.

Nice park for a walk or to go jogging in the morning. A couple of animals are running around and they have some nice restaurants and bars which open in the evening. The mini golf place is pretty messed up but I guess it is not active anymore, same for the pool at the back of the park.

A very nice little park, it was rainy so we didn't see too much in it, but it was a very nice little walk around.

I'm not sure what others were expecting from this park but for us it was beautiful I'm very much worth visiting. We hired a boat out on the lake and had a good walk around the grounds stopping in a bar for a mojito or two!

the Pina Coladas we're delicious strong!!!! Try it without rum, it is very refreshing. The service is excellent. Loved this place. My family and I were here for a full afternoon. Worth it.

Whenever in Havana you’re gonna wanna take your family to the most beautiful beach in the country Varadero Beach! It’s about a 2 Hour from Havana but it is absolutely worth it. There’s a couple stops on the way. There are a few bars and restaurants in town. But for the beach I would highly recommend buying bottles of water snacks and sandwiches if possible for the beach. There is a floaty obstacle course for kids that’s fairly cheap there’s a lot of water toys and activities including snorkeling on a catamaran. Very fun very affordable the water is literally perfect! I’ve been to many beaches in around the world and this one so far is my favorite even better than Hawaii!

All I can say varadero beach is gorgeous 😍. Its about a 2 hour drive from havana. The sand and ocean is pristine. The water clear and blue. It's not overcrowded. Only thing is the Pina colada drink wasn't good. There are beach chairs for rent. When we reached all the chairs were sold out. Overall the beach is 100%

Beautiful beach north east of Varadero that stretches well over a dozen kilometers. It has light and clear blue water and fish a plenty to view by snorkeling. This stretch is where the majority of the resorts are but you can enter the east part of the beach through the town of Varadero. The sunset viewing opportunities are also magnificent. This is one of the nicest and cleanest beaches in the world.

If you’re from a country where people don’t litter on the beach you’ll be disappointed. Was covered in rubbish when I was there. I hope local authorities act on this because once word gets out the beach has rubbish everywhere, tourists won’t want to come.

They got drinks and life jackets if needed. Life jackets not included in the price. The water was a good temperature. Floor was when in the water was hard to walk on. It went from 1m to 2m to 20m real fast. Would recommend

This was a pretty cool place to go! The water was lovely. The walk down is beautiful! We spent about 1.5 hours in the water exploring. When we were done we went up top and had drinks and food and then changed. The cave is a lot smaller that expected. It was very busy, I would suggest going in the morning! We were there for 2 hours and had about 30 minutes to ourselves then the buses from excursions came. They have spikes on the deck posts to hang your bags from. They have a life guard. We took a cab from our resort and asked if he could wait and take us home. We paid 80 CAD and we got two hours of swim time. Total time with him was 4 hours (The excursion was $75USA per person) this was saved us a lot of money. Things I wish I brought: - toilet paper - swim goggles - water proof flashlight for the cave

A beautiful cave with clear turquoise fresh water. You can dive, swim or snorkel. The place is actually not big. We arrived at 9:30am so it wasn't that crowded. But I can imagine that it must be jam-packed in the middle of the day when it's hot outside and nice and cool in the cave.

This place was incredible!!!!!! The whole experience. That being said go alone and not with the excursion. I read that the excursion you only get so much time in the caves and it's expensive.. we took a cab from our resort. Paid $5 each to get in and swam for 30 mins or really as long as you want... the water temperature and colour are JUST AMAZING!!!! There is a small little bar where we got drinks! Also if you were already there check out PLAYA CORAL only 5 mins from there!!

Amazing. Cool waters, beautiful cave, small crowd during March. I jumped from one of the sides after climbing up the rocks, very fun experience. Best cave I've visited in Cuba.

I was there last week and have never seen such different species in my life ever, it was amazong. 40 minutes snorkelling and Saturn cave swimming $45.. I'd do it again..

Good snorkeling through a very nice reef. The guides are very friendly and the dogs are too. I highly recommend getting a piña colada in a coconut if you go.

A nice beach for snorkeling. Lots of fish and coral. About a 30 minute drive from Varadero. 10 CUC for he snorkeling tour. But it is a public beach and you could bring your own gear and go out on your own.

Good beach for snorkelling. unfortunately it was destroyed by huricane irma so there is no shop or anything. there still is a beach and the snorkelling is still available. going into the water can be a bit tricky though. there are some locals selling pina colada and on a rare occasion lobster. we found these portugese man o war when visiting so not such a good idea to test the water. later is was better

Fun beach with white sand and coral mix. Free entry, and there's a small shop that offers food and drink. Good sea life in the water with lots of tropical fish and stingrays. Makes for a fun time!

Bellemare Cave is an excellent place to escape from the hot sun and explore something unique. If you’re planning to visit Varadero to Havana, it’s the perfect halfway stop, definitely worth a visit! The entrance fee is very low and it includes travel guide. Our tour guide, Eric, was amazing, he explained everything so well and really took care of the group throughout the visit. You can hire a photographer for an extra cost, but most smartphones capture great pictures too (just remember to buy a ticket if you plan to use your own device for photography). The cave itself is fascinating with beautiful natural formations, wonders of nature! The humidity is quite high inside, highly recommend wearing light clothing and well gripped shoes since the ground can be a bit slippery. Overall, we had a very cool and refreshing experience!

One of the tourists attractions that put Cuba and Matanzas on the map. For foreigners you need to pay USD5 entrance fee and another USD5 for phone or camera.

Not only being the largest and deepest cave system in Cuba, it is beautiful as well. You must join the guided tour to venture in. They accept US$ only. Our guide managed pretty well both the Spanish speaking and English speaking groups in one go. A must-go when you visit Cuba.

Amazing! We walked for 700m inside. Lots of cool cave formations. Their Tour guide was great. Kids enjoyed having their own flashlights to check out little tunnels etc, but would have been fine without it also. It wasn’t as physically demanding to climb in and out, someone of average fitness level can do it!

Fantastic tour of the caves that have Calcium carbonate crystals forming since years. Good tour for $5 plus $5 for bringing your camera. A must visit in Matanzas.

This is an awesome experience but if you are claustrophobic and you can't walk a lot I wouldn't suggest this because there's only one way in and one way out and it's really beautiful it's just a lot of turns ups and downs and the stairs take forever to leave but overall for the price it's amazing and historical.

Great place for exploring. Be prepared to sweat. If you are old bring a fan and water and your puffer if you have breathing problems. Also if you go down you need to go up so any mobility issues will be tested. I went with my mom and mother in law who are in their 60s and it was tough for them. If young and able I highly recommend it!

Such a great place to stop on the way to Havana as it's the half way mark. Washrooms, drinks and a little place to get a sandwich. The views are spectacular.

Breathtaking views from the top. Tallest bridge in Cuba; one of the wonders of Cuban Civil Engineering. There is a small restaurant that has washrooms and other shops where you can purchase souvenirs. They offer piña coladas made with real pineapples ($5 CAD/ USD for 1).

Very scenic place to view the mountain. Excellent place with drinks bar, shops and very very clean rest rooms. Surely stop by if going to havana from varadero.

This bridge is absolutely stunning! It feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. The view is spectacular and there is a small shop that serves fresh pina coladas for $5. Definitely worth a stop on the way from Varadero/Mantanzas to Havana.
