This place was very informative, and to think we almost missed it on the freeway. To be honest, we had a great time talking to the host and learning about the history behind the tower. Afterward, we spent an hour and a half exploring the huge rocks while encountering new creatures around every corner that had been carved into the very rocks we were climbing under and over. Do not get discouraged by the hills. Have eyes vibe the road taking you there provokes. What waits at the end is truly worth the ride. This diamond in the rough, hidden on the side of the road, needs to be seen and remembered

A very interesting landmark and viewpoint outside of the San Diego city borders. Went here because I wanted to see something different, and surely found that. The price of admission is worth the view alone, and you can go to the boulder park. Be prepared for strong gusts and strong sunlight, you're basically in the desert here. The owner is in for an interesting chat, and has some lovely pet dogs. If you like to travel back to San Diego from here, try old highway 80, it's a more scenic experience than just travelling the regular highway.

Google maps list the hours of operation as open until 1800. But the locals living near the tower will tell you it closes at 1700. You can still see the outside of the tower but the gift shoppe will be closed after 1700 (5pm). There are walking paths in the boulders behind the tower and a red box for cash donations. The people residing up there have many dogs, guineafowls, and I saw a peacock. There is an older couple that sit outside their travel trailer and watch visitors. They don’t wave or express any hospitality, they just watch you - creepy. The tower is awesome, and the view is majestic. It is worth the stop.

Amazing trip, well worth a visit. £9.50 entrance fee per person which really isn’t much to keep such an iconic space open. Lots to look at, interesting books and amazing bolder garden!!

I had searched maps for a fun adventure to take the kids. They each said hands down this was the best place yet! We were too late to view inside the tower - closes at 5, and we were 15 min late, but a guy showed up and said we could tour the rock caves. I'm grateful he clarified that. Thank you for allowing my grandbabies some fun and amazing memories.

Visited Thursday, July 24 – Monte Xanic is a must for wine lovers! We did the Aromas and Flavors experience, which included a beautiful tour of the winery, a fun tasting game where we guessed ingredients by taste and smell, and a delicious cheese board to pair with the wines. The experience was playful, relaxing, and set against the backdrop of stunning vineyard views. Sip local. Support local.

I never would have imagine a winery like this in the middle of the Mexican dessert. This place has everything and I would dare to say is at par or better than most Napa/Sonoma wineries. The views, the service, the wine, the attention to details, the different games to make the tasting experience better, the tapas, the knowledge of the people, all made for an elevated experience surpassing the best wineries in other regions. We went with the blind wine tasting and the personnel made the whole thing super interesting, fun and educative. I have never seen this in other wineries. And we learned that the winery has other experiences depending on your group. The wine was superb. Their reserve was our favorite. While not cheap, compared to others, it was completely worth it. This is one of those places to visit when visiting Valle.

Loved the winery. It's a beautiful property and our guide Abril was great. You do need a reservation though. Tried to come here a year ago and was turned away at the gate. This time we had a reservation and tried some very good to great wines, for a tour of the winery, and were able to enjoy time just hanging out there. At the end they let us keep our wine glasses. The Gran Ricardo wine has some hype to it; tried it and it is worth it. Ended up taking a bottle home.

They were able to seat us on the lake, which was amazing. Super refreshing and relaxing. their Sauvignon Blanc was delicious and service was great.

We got there having no reservations. We were allowed to the lower side of the winery, next to the lake- which is great too! It’s quiet, relaxing, the wines are great. Try the cabernet with the bread options. You will love it here!

What an incredible place. Monte Xanic was our favorite winery we visited in the area by far. Not only was the wine superb, and the views stunning, but our tour guide / wine tasting “guru” -Sara, really knew her stuff. She truly knew how to describe wine in a way that made us want to buy all of the bottles in the winery. The wine in an of itself though tasted delicious all the way down the line (I think we tried all of the ones on the tasting menu, plus the ones they served by the glass - ha!!) it’s also really cool to note that this winery was truly started by Mexicans for Mexicans which made it feel like a truly “Mexican wine” experience which I think is what we wanted to go for when we came to the area. We highly recommend this winery and we will definitely be back. Thanks Sara for being the perfect guide! Next time we come back, I hope you’re managing the place!! 😊

Very interesting experience. Gives details of how wine making got starting in Baja, Mexico. If you're in the area and like museums, you should check it out. The place provides wine tasting and has a large assortment of wines. There is also a mini coffee and gift ship in the back. There are cheeses to try, and the Popsicles are great for the hot weather.

This is am excellent stop if you like history and historical events and the development of wine here in the Guadalupe Valley. There is also a beautiful view of wine country which is a must see. Look at my photographs and come see for yourselves. God bless my brothers and sisters.

El Museo de Vino is a great museum on the history of wine, first from Georgia (Europe) and then the history of wine making in Baja California. Very informative, lots to learn and see about the earliest production of wine around the world. Also, lots of art - paintings and ceramic pieces with and without a wine theme. Spent two hours here and it was worth it.

If you go to the area then you want to check out this museum. Not super entertaining but you learn a couple of things. We paid for the degustation wine taste but the guy was busy for 20 mins with another customer so we didn't benefit of the extra payment. Good views and interesting architecture though

It's a great place to find out how Mexican wine country began. Plenty of old artifacts from vineyards and plenty of information about the soil, grapes, and the vineyards in the area. The museum has jaw dropping views of the vineyard behind it. The museum would be a great venue for big art events or private parties with their second floor event space. Inexpensive entrance fee, you can add wine tasting to your ticket. Worth a visit to geek out. Oh, everything is in Spanish. Visit with a Spanish speaking friend or maybe it's time to learn a second language.

Nice museum, very clean, but small and you have to pay to get in. It can easily be toured in an hour. So if you're nearby, visiting the wineries, this can be a nice little stop to take a short break and get a few photos.

Even though i can’t really rate the wine because im a minor (and can’t drink for obvious reasons) the tour the workers gave was really cool. The good thing is that because minors don’t get to drink they also don’t have to pay for the tour. The tour showed really cool things and told us the history and uses of the things in the installations (both in english and Spanish)

Absolutely delicious! Super fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service. The shrimp tostada had the perfect flavor. Variety of salsa- super spicy to a basic pico. Loved every minute of it. Will come again.

The marlin taco was outstanding and an incredibly unique flavour and texture that I've never encountered before. The margaritas were super tasty and pack quite a punch! If you're a lightweight you may want to split this with someone as it'll likely knock you off your feet otherwise. We will definitely be coming back!

The fish tacos were fresh and delicious. The service was quick and our waiter, Francisco, was helpful, kind, and very funny. The cruise ship shuttle dropped us off in downtown and this restaurant was a very short walk from that spot.

When visiting Ensenada we recommend this Great historic location just a short walk from the docks. The grounds are in lovely condition with ample well maintained sidewalks and patios. Inside the property reflects the charm and history of the area with access to a number of large rooms, ballrooms and a spacious courtyard, complete with local vendors offing their goods. It’s safe, clean, well maintained and free!

Beautiful place full of memories and history, you can almost hear the stories echo in the areas you can visit. I loved the painted ceilings, the place to have a drink after exploring. Shame the beautiful tiled fountains did not work.

This is a really cool spot to see the geyser! It is not the cleanest spot in the world, but it was well worth it just looking for some time and seeing the waves turn into the geyser. There were shops and markets everywhere and you could find anything you needed here. I will definitely be coming back to see it. The geyser goes off ever couple of minutes cause of the waves, some will be larger and some smaller, but I definitely got some water on me, haha!

A great place to visit! You’ll find delicious Mexican-style fish tacos — absolutely worth trying. The drinks are excellent too; for example, the Piña Colada is a must. Don’t miss seeing the blowhole, and taking pictures in front of the **Ensenada** with this spot la bufadora sign is an amazing experience!

I am not sure how my experience compares to a cruise shore excursion but in my opinion it is not worth going to. It was about an hour drive outside of Ensenada. When I arrived I had to park at the top of the hill which cost 50 pesos, so relatively affordable. As soon as you start walking down hill, which takes about ten minutes, you are hit with vendors trying to sell you things. There are maybe 50-100 vendors trying to sell you anything from illicit items to trinkets to food. I did end up buying a couple items from a shop that wasn't pushy. When I got to the bottom there was a 360 camera you could rent as well as a drone. I'm not sure how either of those worked as I just went to the regular viewing platform. The reason I was disappointed is because you can see water flying upwards and hear the noise, but you can't actually see any hole. You just see water flying up, which I can do elsewhere on the western coast with a rocky shoreline during king tides. It was cool to visit once, but I spent maybe 5 minutes before leaving. If it wasn't so far from Ensenada it would probably be worth visiting.

Hello everyone, if you guys are ever in the Ensenada area and never been to the "La Bufadora " blow hole you guys need to come see this natural phenomenon. Its pretty cool. I will say that now its been terra formed and its a tourist attraction with lots of vendors selling you everything. If that is not your cup of tea then you might want to avoid it. Since its a tourist attraction of course its very expensive and tourist busses from drop folks off from the ship cruises. I would now that you know this plan accordingly and enjoy. There are restaurants, vendors can almost sell you anything for a price.. Have fun my brothers and sisters.

Its a unique experience to watch the geysers. Its hard to miss them, as they go off every 1-2 minutes, atleast when we went. Its also a cool location for some photos

I swear, if one more stall owner shouted “Special price just for you!” I was going to hand them Monopoly money and see if they noticed. Tipping culture here? Wild. It’s like they heard about tips once in a dream but missed the part where it’s optional and for *good service*, not just for existing in the same zip code. Restrooms? Spotless! But entry might cost you up to \$1, so I hope your bladder carries spare change. It’s the first time I’ve peed and felt like I was at a vending machine. As for the prices—rumored to be “cheaper” than back home? Lies. Some things were California-level expensive, and I’m 99% sure they were charging me the “you look like you don’t haggle” rate. All in all, it *was* a beautiful place to see… once. Just once. I’ve had my fill of scenic views, unsolicited trinkets, and \$1 bathroom adventures.

Located on main highway 1, a few minutes out of town. Plenty of parking, bar, restaurant, toilets & souvenirs. Didn't eat but reportedly good food. Staff respectful and attentive in tours. I had difficulty understanding the English but that was me. See the separate salt Exportadora (salt ponds and processing) only on low wind days. Operations stop when windy and you will see everything again if you do the whale watching tour.

We had an amazing whale watching adventure with Mario's tours going out on two separate days for gray whale watching. Their museum is a lovely introduction to what you're going to see and their briefing is thorough and informative. I appreciate that they don't chase the whales and they let the whales come to the boat. I also liked the stop at the giant salt pile on the way out.

I had a wonderful experience with this company. Went on a whale watch two times and both were very different. One ride cost $50, you jump in a boat of 12 passengers. It’s not ideal to have some freedom running from side to side of a boat, but you see and touch plenty! Our first day the water was flat and whales were very interactive. Two or three at the time. Second day the water was rough and because of it whales were not very communicative, yet still had luck to see and pet them. I made an appointment over WhatsApp (contact is on the website). They responded relatively fast. Hat, gloves, sunscreen, glasses must have. They will give you a waterproof poncho if needed (when the water is rough take it!). If you are camping or RV, they have a space for you too!

This is the 3rd time booking with Mario's Tours and without a doubt they have always come through. Our captain was Tito and did an exceptional job putting us on whales. this tour was everything we had hoped it would be. we spent lots of time out on the water and when we finally had our encounter with the whales coming right up to the boat, it seemed to last for so long! dream come true. I will warn that if you are like me and you get sea sick, one dose of bonine or whatever you take for it may not be enough. Take extra with you to take another dose during the tour. Stunning experience and a truly impressive operation. Don’t think twice to do this trip with these guys. We just visited with 6 family in 3 generations, age 13 to 80’s. None of us can think of a single thing that could have been better. The whale watching was the focus and incredible- we interacted closely with whales every single day. Boat drivers and guides mean everything, and these are so skilled. And the camp experience, from cozy cabins and daily happy hours to hot showers and local simple delicious food, fit the vibe perfectly. The camp staff are local and quick to laugh, most are family, and they clearly love making things great for their clients. Our group has done a lot of traveling and we’ve seen lots of whales. This still blew our minds. Go.

If you want an incredible up close experience with the grey whales who come to San Ignacio Bay to have their calves, and then raise them until they are strong enough to make the journey northward back to the Bering Strait or other colder water, come to this rustic camp along the shore of the Bay. The accommodations are very simple, and the food is far from gourmet, but the experience and the quality, passion and heart of the people who work here is outstanding. You will see whales, touch whales, even perhaps (as I did) kiss whales. The mothers seem to want to push their babies over to you, perhaps to socialize them. We found that children's voices and laughter drew them to our boat more than any other sound, including various types of music we played and cooing and other sounds we made. It has been 19 years since my husband and I had an adventure of a lifetime. The thrill of petting a whale has to be an experience not to be forgotten. Camp was comfortable and food great. Wish I was 19 years younger and I would go again!

We used Baja Ecotours to swim with sea lions and see the grey whales feeding and courting near Magdalena Is. Both were incredible biological events. A great bonus is all the fish in addition to the sea lions. At times you are swimming in huge schools of them and there is a great diversity of them as well. We went to their brand new whale trip out of a small fishing village and saw the whales doing it all - spy hopping(right beside the boat), breaching, feeding, right beside the boat, under the boat& more. The company is very professional and gave a discount when they had an engine problem on the way back. Our guides were exceptional- very well informed and talkative. Both trips were very educational.

Mulege, Baja California Sur, Mexico is an amazing natural paradise. Looking forward to my next visit.

It's a simple yet beautiful old mission that's worth walking to from town. You can cross a pedestrian bridge/dam and walk up beautiful trails to the mission. It's only 10 min from the bus stop when walking. A nice lady let us into the dormitory of the mission and up onto the roof (through some tunnels full of bird poop). The view from the roof was astounding.

Interesting stop, definitely worth a visit if time allows.

I enjoyed a leisurely bike ride along the Loreto Malecón in mid-March 2025. It's a great place to watch seabirds and enjoy sunrise and sunset. Silhouettes of the islands of Loreto Bay National Park (Parque Nacional Bahía de Loreto) can be seen from the boardwalk. It's a short walk or bike ride from the main plaza. Very nice area!

Worth visiting. Very clean, modern and safe. With amazing views. At the north side there are palapas for free use, where you can swim. There are restaurants in the area. Some more hidden in the adjacent roads. The bird life is amazing. Actually if Mars had water, this is what it would look like. There is also de Marina to visit.

Its a long but nice drive to get there. We went as a tour, so it was nice to hear stories about the history of the area on our way up and at the mission. The historical significance is nice to see preserved.

Photos can't describe the feeling you get when you arrive. The beauty and the history are unsurpassed. The village is a beautiful, tranquil Oasis. The caretakers are so friendly and willing to share and answer any questions. This is something you don't want to miss if you visit Loreto. Be prepared for an hour long, winding clime with breathtaking views of the Sierra Gigante and the bay, as well as some fairly sketchy road conditions... be sure to pay attention to the road.

Absolutely breath taking it is an epic landmark of the Americas..you can't miss it if you go to Loreto. I conducted an anthropological research trip to San Javier in Baja, California Sur, to examine the Jesuit mission established in 1699. San Javier is a distinctive example of a Jesuit mission in Mexico, and its significance is closely tied to the historical context of the Jesuits' expulsion from New Spain. Following their expulsion due to support for Native Americans, the Jesuits left a lasting impact on San Javier. Situated in the mountainous region near Loreto, the town provides a unique snapshot of early American colonization. Notably, the landscape includes a 332-year-old olive tree, one of the oldest in the Americas, date palms from North Africa, and orange trees from the Jesuits' plantings. San Javier offers valuable insights into Jesuit missions' architectural and cultural aspects in North Mexico and the USA. The mission's unique ties with Japan and its historical connections add another layer of importance. My exploration of San Javier focused on unraveling its historical layers as a unique example of a Jesuit mission. Examining the architecture, flora, and cultural influences helped provide a clear understanding of its development, especially considering the Jesuits' later expulsion from New Spain.

A lovely little village. Beautiful old church and grounds. The streets of the town are lined with orange and lime trees. The olive trees in town were a nice treat. The drive up the mountain was relatively smooth with only a few areas where the road had collapsed down the mountainside. Very scenic.

Not worth the drive. Not much to see and they fleece you for donation. They don't keep up on any restoration or cleaning. Not an unpleasant experience, but you'd be better off going fishing, snorkeling or to some other excursion. The place is a little depressing too!

This place is awesome. Mind blowing to think of what it would look like when it began! Weird mix of local residents and tourists. Walk around all the grounds and explore it. Worth the drive though.

I was so excited to go on this trip. I had been I La Paz and talked to a couple of operators about the sardine run. They all said it wasn't happening yet. I then contacted Captain Marco and he assured me they were getting some good activity. I was picked up in La Paz, no problem. Arrived at Hotel Isabela and thought it was charming. It was clean and the room was comfortable. I had dinner there that night and the food was adequate. One thing I didn't like was that smoking was allowed in the dining room. The next morning I was picked up at 6:30 for the first of three days of snorkeling the Sardine Run. I have wanted to do this trip for years and was so excited to be there! Others on the panga had been out the day before. They said the day before they had found one large bait ball and seen Mobula's.

Unfortunately, we were unable to join the tour that we booked due to an illness in the family, but we were amazed at how supportive and understanding the Magdalena Bay Whales team was and how they handled the situation! We are eternally grateful. If you are looking for a reliable company for your whale watching experience, do not hesitate to book with this team! We hope that we can do so very soon, too!

We had an incredible time on the 2 day/1 night snorkeling tour. Amazing experience swimming with bait balls of sardines, schools of dorado, dolphins, turtles, sea lions, and humpback whales! Our guide Ricardo was knowledgeable and easy to get along with. The glamping setup at Isla Magdalena was well appointed with excellent food and staff, and the entire team made for a seamless trip. We can't wait to return!

Capitan Marcos and Capitan Dany were great. I appreciate they didn’t chase any gray whales (there were 4 each day we saw over and over again first week of March 2022) that I went out and about 10+ boats chasing them from other tour companies. When we were off by ourselves the whales approached us. I am thankful for the respect they give and enjoyed their knowledge and kindness.

Fabulous, experience of a lifetime! Staff were wonderful. I was picked up in Loreto and transported and all went not just smoothly, but perfectly. My boat captain was Captain Carlos, and I do recommend him. Food was AMAZING; I had seafood every day! Katie and camp staff welcomed me and made sure I had anything I needed. Stay as long as you can! My one recommendation would be that they switch from using plastic disposable drinking bottles, for environmental reasons. We are willing to bring our reusable drinking bottles. I went in the 4th week of February and plenty of gray whales were around. If you stay on the island, the tents have SERTA mattresses. You can also stay in town at a hotel. The island was peaceful and the gentle waves at night lulled me to sleep. I did not see baby whales as they are further up the coves with their mothers, hiding from orcas. You must go!

5/5 amazing experience. We secured our tickets by going to the Malecon early in the morning. Got breakfast in the meantime. The trip is so beautiful & peaceful. Some people even do glamping on the island. You get to snorkel in certain areas of the island. I would recommend taking a jacket. Also, get the appropriate sunscreen to not damage the coral.

Sv Rhiannon is on the move again. First stop is this beautiful island. Great to duck into to wait out a Northern wind. Crystal clear water. Great snorkeling and fishing (Although get permits) This is my last journey with Rhiannon. Thankfully She changed my life heart and soul. How could a person not change sailing Solo on a 45ft Sailboat. ❤️☮️🌏~🏴‍☠️

WOW...this whole area is just awesome..!! We had an opportunity to snorkel in the area, but we were restricted from climbing on the rock formations. There were coral in the area that were restricted and protected from placing a foot on it or near any of it. Even with all of the various restrictions, we still enjoyed as much of the snorkeling and exploring around the rock formations and coral in the area. We saw many varieties of fish and birds and several other unidentified life that was really great to see and explore. Kinda made us feel like we were the first to see it all! LoL Isla Espiritu Santo is a nature preserve area for snorkeling, swimming, and hanging out on the beach. We saw a variety of the local sea life including manta rays, schools of fish jumping out of the water, various kinds of tropical fish, the sea lion pups and adults. The area is best explored with a knowledgeable local or a knowledgeable tour guide who can answer any questions about the area or the licenses needed while in the area visiting. There were a many people in the area visiting with their own boats and docked in the area open water and adjacent to the land to get to the shores to enjoy the beaches or have a nice picnic under the their shade tent under the sun. The area was just awesome.

Totally worth the drive from Cabo for an excellent day trip to this beautiful beach. Goes knee deep for a long stretch, and although we were warned about stingrays, we didn’t see any. You do have to walk shuffling your feet to avoid stepping on one but its totally worth it. Great view from the top of the hike, definitely check it out

Beautiful beach It's a beautiful place in which you can pass some hours of nice views You can bring your own food/drinks. Avoid glass and please take the garbage with you. There is 2 possible access: at 8:00h and 12:00 The maximum stay is 4 hours. The have a limited access for every group. You need to stay in the line for ~40 minutes During the line some guys are selling drinks, food (ceviche) and it's good. Be prepared because inside there is no option to buy nothing. The beach is clean, after every group the staff clean the place. The water is cold after Aug/sep but it's still a must to do activity. Consider there is some sea wildlife (jellyfish, mantas, etc), step grounding your feet and cover your skin with large clothes (jellyfish can burn your skin, nothing to die but it's better to avoid it). portable toilet is on the place if needed Parking lot is free of charge and safe

We’ve traveled a lot, seen beaches all over the world but Playa Balandra is different. The first thing that hits you is the water impossibly clear, shifting between turquoise, teal, and soft jade as the light moves. It’s shallow for what feels like forever, so you can wade out and still see the ripples dancing around your feet. The whole place feels untouched, almost sacred. The hills cradle the bay in this perfect natural curve, and the calmness is something you feel as much as you see. No crowds, no noise just wind, salt, and that unreal blue stretching out to the horizon. THE PARK IS FREE DONT LET ANY VENDOR TELL YOU OTHERWISE 20 minutes from La Paz. We took a scooter 🛵

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen. The water is so shallow you can see the bottom. There’s a short hike to the top of the hill where you can take the best photos. Make sure to wear the right footwear since the trail is a bit rocky. There’s lots of marine life I saw plenty of fish and an eel! Get there early to beat the crowds. Parking fills up fast get there before 9 AM.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The water is crystal clear, easy to swim, snorkel, and relax with no waves! Easy walk to mushroom rock for a great photo opportunity! It’s regulated pretty heavily with limitations on how long you can stay, which is the only bummer. Highly recommend!

Beautiful beach to visit near La Paz. We came in the August heat, when the water was very warm. Saw a puffer fish (?) and lots of little fish, but no manta rays. Also many impressive birds flying the thermals above. It’s amazing how many people arrive at the beach without supplies, creating a great business opportunity for the locals. As a protected beach they only allow a limited group in the morning, clear them out at noon, and another limited group in the afternoon, with closure at 5 pm.

There are a few time windows you can be in the beach (8:00-12:00, and 13:00-17:00). Just buy the tickets online on the website and come whenever. Highly recommend to rent sun umbrella. The beach itself is great. Shallow water with many fish.

I have travelled about 4 times on the ferry. I then gave it 4 stars. On my last trip I gave it 3. Quality has gone down. My cabin was run down, it even had lice on the bed. Also chaotic getting in and out of the boat. It's not a very well managed operation, in my mind. More industrial focused than hospitality focused.

This is primarily a truck ferry, don’t expect a cruise ship. Get a cabin so you aren’t sleeping the floor with hundreds of others. It is just a few dollars more. Food provided but very Mexican basic. Bar service available. Our trip was smooth and on time

I was passing by and decided to buy my ticket for tomorrow. Aduanas told me I could enter and buy it and then leave. It turned into a 2 hour ordeal having aduanas and the military tearing my bags and motorcycle apart 2 times. I explained both times that I just wanted to purchase tickers, no one explained that I could park outside and walk in. Instead they directed me to drive in. Another example of the Mexican government passing off tourists! No one working here could think rationally or had any common sense. Maybe the government should give them classes in basic critical thinking skills!

Got off our cruise ship and caught a taxi into La Paz. About a 20 to 25 minute ride. We were in a van with 10 people at $5 per person. For a couple of dollars more, you can take cab for four people. I advise you take the cab. There is also a free shuttle but you could end up wasting time waiting for it to arrive. If you are on a tight schedule, take a cab!

The trip is just way too long and very uncomforfotable . From Los Mochis aa the ticket said i began heading to the port around 9:00 pm It is about 30 minutes to get there and there is some walking too , your luggage has to be check before 11:00 pm , the Ferri sails at 12:00 The seat are ok and do recline but the lights remain on for the entire trip , you WON"T be able to sleep . The docking was at 8:00 am but you will begin disembarking at least an hour later , but it is very slow , so i got my bag around 10:00 am . Exhausted , hungry , sleepless , Bathrooms are very small for the amount of passengers , the whole boat smell terrible . Do whatever possible to not have to go this way , if you have to then , look for the cabins , no matter the price it will be worth it :(

After reading and hearing so many bad things I was nervous. But it was a great trip and easy experience. No you don't need a title, your current registration will be fine for your vehicle. You do the paperwork at the port

I bought my tickets at the office in La Paz which greatly simplified the port experience. There was a thorough but friendly search of the car before boarding, an unexpected 210 peso fee at the weigh station (it's legit, receipt and all). You can't access your vehicle during the trip so take anything you need with you. There's a cafeteria with surprisingly low rates (unlike onboard a plane), a bar, seating akin to economy flights but with plenty of leg room, and an outside observation area. If you have trouble sleeping on planes I'd recommend trying to get a cabin.

Away from the downtown hustle and bustle. Public beach with free palapas and various food shops near by that career to the beach customers. You can feel free to go up and get your own or for a few shekels more, you can have them bring it to you on the beach. Nice calm water and beautiful long pier suitable for photo shoots. If you can't get one of the free palapas you can rent an umbrella table and chairs. If you're there to eat and drink the table chairs and umbrella are complimentary with your purchase. The water was calm clean and cool on the day we went with a light breeze in about 80°F. We had beers and fruit while we enjoyed the views and the sand. The people were kind, the service was great, the prices were very reasonable. The beach was very clean with people enjoying music and not a ton of loud obnoxious young adults and smokers.

It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a convenient, family-friendly beach close to the city. The beach is well-maintained and has all the essentials you need for a comfortable day by the water. One of the biggest perks is its accessibility. It's a quick and easy drive from downtown La Paz, and there's plenty of parking available. You don't have to worry about a long journey to find a great spot. The water is typically calm and shallow, which makes it perfect for kids to swim and play in. There are also palapas and lounge chairs you can rent, so you're not stuck laying a towel directly on the sand. The on-site restaurant and food stalls are a huge plus, offering a decent variety of food and drinks. The bathrooms are also clean and well-kept. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. The atmosphere is more "busy public beach" than "tranquil escape." If you're looking for a quiet, secluded spot, this might not be it. However, if you're traveling with family or want a beach with amenities and a lively vibe, it's a fantastic option. It's a great place to spend a fun, hassle-free day soaking up the sun and enjoying the Sea of Cortez.

Solid beach on the edge of town that somehow works for both family vibes and cracking beers with the bros. Plenty of free palapas to claim, or you can spring for an umbrella setup with chairs and a table. Food is available too—take the short walk up to the restaurants or kick back and let table-side service come to you. The only buzzkill? Shards of broken glass in the sand. I didn’t hit anything sharp, but bottles on the beach are a trash move—stick to cans. If people showed this place a little more respect, it’d easily be a 5-star recommendation. As it stands, the vibe is there, the setup is there, but the glass is a safety hazard.

Nice beach close to town. There’s public restrooms and a small seafood restaurant. There’s a scenic overlook where you can get great ocean views.

Went on a Saturday. It wasn’t terribly busy. You rent tables, chairs, umbrellas. There’s food and drink service. The ceviche was good. There are food stands up top but did not have cold coco. There’s a ramp for individuals not able to do stairs.

The water is crystal clear with schools of fish swimming around. Very nice.

Incredibly clear calm water with a super gradual water depth with 10s of kinds of fish that swim right up to you. The happy fish 12 restaurant had the best shrimp ceviche I have ever had.

I did a week rental with some lessons mixed in. The gear was in perfect condition, and I could swap out for the right size as needed, which made my buddies who brought their gear a little jealous since I didn't need to lug anything around. Jose is a master, as we're both of my instructors. It's pretty wild just to watch them make something so complicated look so damn easy, but they are able to break it down and teach it very effectively. By the end of the week I was super comfortable. Jose made the whole thing super easy. The price is well worth it.. Would highly recommend.

Nomad Kitesurfing School is great! My husband came as a beginner and became an independent kiter after a few lessons. He really appreciated having the same instructor throughout his learning. Jose is very helpful and always willing to help with accomodation or advice.

I had an amazing experience at the kite school in La Ventana with José! The service was exceptional, the North kites were top-notch, and the atmosphere was filled with smiles. Highly recommend!!! :)

Look no further! Nomad is the place to take a lesson and learn how to kite. Jose and his staff are super friendly and I was paired up with a great instructor named Paolo. Paolo got me super confident with kite control first then towards the end of my lessons I got up and riding. They also offer jet ski assist so you can make your way downwind and have more learning on the water. Thanks Jose and team! I will be back!

Daily release of some baby turtles at sunset (time varies depending on the season). Beach is quiet, not a lot of people and the sanctuary very rustic and in need of donations. The release was very informative and friendly although I feel bad for the two little turtles that are being shown. They seemed scared. Access is otherwise free and donations to the organization encouraged.

Wonderful experience! Very informative presentation, volunteers were trying to answer questions in at least four different languages! Impressive to see young local kids with so much knowledge and dedication. Keep up the good work!

They didn't release the turtles the night we went for a few reasons, but it was still great!! They brought some of them out in little tubs for us to see and it was awesome! That beach was beautiful with the sunset! Definitely going back!!

What a wonderful experience to be a part of. Our family will never forget! These folks were helping to release baby tortugas into the ocean. Just after sunset we were able to take part in the release of 90 newly hatched turtles. They protect them from predators until they are ready for release. They simply ask for a donation if you participate to provide necessities for the task. There were around 100 people the night we went.

This is experience was amazing. As we waited for sunset, whales went up and down the coastline spouting. Many even breached further offshore! Watching the tiny Olive Ridley turtles fight the waves to make it into the ocean was incredible.

I would recommend this bucketlist activity. As you park and walk out to the ocean, you'll see a fenced-in tent where the turtle eggs are in process of hatching. Usually, every evening at sunset, they release the baby turtles that were born that day. They set out several tubs with baby turtles and answer questions about the conservation efforts to help build the overall population. As there are several tubs, all should have an opportunity to take pics/vids up close. When the time comes, they carry the tubs to the ocean sand and set them free for the waves to carry them out. While waiting, we watched the large crashing ways and whale spouts while the sun sets. Very beautiful.

Access down International road is fine in a car without 4x4. Great experience for all ages. Keep an eye on the horizon, for whales and pelicans. Make sure you leave a donation, the money helps ensure the volunteers aren't too out of pocket.

Wish that we spent more time there! Great beach. Lots of families and surfers!

Great surfing year round. The restaurant pictured burned down last week Water is usually warm and no wetsuit is required Very safe to visit here and nearby towns of Pescadero and Todos Santos.

Beautiful place! Cerritos is exploding for sure.! Developments and single families places popping up all over.

Good kid beach. Sometimes good waves. Hasn't been developed well and the "Beach Club" is horrible and a narco front. Illegal for a Mexican place to block off a beach but they het away with it.

So beautiful. Just go. I love how the sand washes up on the beach.

First trip there. Good surf. Very different than Medano beach! Nice restaurant/bar on the beach. Plenty of chair and equipment rentals. Cheap massages on the beach! Easy access off the highway. Several dirt roads lead in. No problem in any car.

Had the most fantastic lunch. The cook has gone to culinary school and it shows. The show stoppers here are the cauliflower tacos with an almond mole sauce (and I am not even vegetarian). Also you will never have tasted French Toast like the one they serve for dessert. We also had the flank steak tacos as well as the octopus tacos. We came for the waterfall but the food is what will bring us back

Absolutely beautiful and has exploded in popularity in recent years, and it'd be great if the owners/groundskeepers would actually bother to keep the place clean and organized, and perhaps even limit the number of people who visit each day, as the place can be an absolute zoo on the weekends. The food of the new restaurant is really great when the chef is there.

The waterfall and swimming area is terrific. Super nice spending the day on the rocks and then a cool off in the water. We drove and parked our Sprinter RV in the designated camping area for an extra $100 pesos per person. We had access to the bathroom a fire pit and water hose. We stopped for lunch a few KM before at a great little road side farm. Bill runs it. It was terrific. We had fresh bread avacado toast and fresh cesar salad. Was terrific. At the falls area we ate dinner and breakfast. Excellent food, but a bit pricey. No big deal given the remote location. Everyone there was so nice.

No longer a paradise? We came again since we loved this swimming spot 3 years ago. I am afraid it's past its capacity for visitors right now. A film of sunscreen on the water surface and hundreds of little fish nibbling on your skin the second you enter the water ( yuck!!!) indicate there might be just too many people coming for a dip. We have seen at least 50 people come in during our two hours midday off-season (in July). I am curious how many 250 pesos tickets this Eco actually sells per day. Restaurant was closed during our visit. Overall this was disappointing and not worth the trip.

Waterfall is unique. Small restaurant with limited menu. 350 to camp overnight. Lots of animals, donkeys, goats, rabbits, a peacock and budgies. No showers or I would have stayed longer.

Hands-down, one of the most beautiful places to visit. It is a natural wonder - like being in a Hollywood movie. The grounds are upkept very well and the price to enter is so reasonable considering you are covering the cost for the national park ie government charge - as well as the cost to upkeep the private road. Thanks for an amazing experience!! ✨✨✨✨✨

This place was 1st stop in our road trip in Baja and it was beautiful and surreal. Maybe because we were there during the week, but we hardly ran into people in our hikes to near by water fall and drive to near by thermal bath. Our cabin was very clean and insect free (surprisingly for the area), it was piece of luxury in a beautiful setting with a very basic kitchen that allowed us to prep simple food. We only stayed overnight but we definitely could have stayed another night as the king sized bed was very comfortable 😍. Would love to stay next time and try the restaurant food that another guest (didn’t even run into them til check out) raved about. P.S. the white kitty 🐈‍⬛ in the property is a sweetheart 😍, best welcome host😝

Amazing hike to hot springs and waterfall/swimming hole. Edgar was very knowledgeable and personable. He also prepared the best breakfast and recovery fresh mango margaritas after the walk.

My boyfriend and I took a day trip with E in late January and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! Edgardo is very knowledgeable about the area and enjoyable to spend the day with. He picked out the best excursion for us after we described our interests and abilities. We were blown away by the hike down into a through a canyon, the bouldering over rocks, swimming in the most picturesque (and deserted) natural granite pools. We biked on the way back and felt we got our fill of physical activity and adventure. Back at the starting point, E made us mango margaritas with mango from the garden there. This day was the highlight of our Baja California road trip!

We went out on a sunset kayak with Baja Sierra. So beautiful. Owner was very knowledgeable and just a great guy to be with. Very welcoming and the mango smoothie at the end was icing on the cake! If we come back to the region we want to do one of their multi day treks.

Incredible day with Edgardo. Perfect day trip to the hot springs and then a hike to one of the the most beautiful rivers I’ve seen. Edgardo is so genuine and a delight to spend the day with. We hope to see him again.

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time with Edgardo. The whole day with him was so much fun. Since the hot springs was full due to covid, and he showed us a beautiful local waterfall hike with lots of bouldering and diving off rocks. He was extremely careful about covid and took all necessary procations to make us feel safe. In the afternoon, he recommended us another local hike to explore by ourselves which was beautiful as well. The best part of the trip was definitely Edgardo’s sense of humour and energy! I would 1000% recommend his services :)

This is not to be missed. Edgardo is wonderful and will take you on a hiking adventure into the Sierra mountains including jumping into emerald green pools fed by waterfalls,. And you're the only ones there!

My family did the Combo tour (Land and sea) with Edgardo and it was incredible!!!! We had a few hesitations about camping on a vacation but based on the good reviews and reasonable price, we decided to go for it. So glad we did because it was such a fun few days that I'd do it all over again. We arranged with Edgardo to be picked up in Cabo San Lucas. Upon arriving into Santiago, we were given delicious mango smoothies. I mean, these are the mango smoothies that I will compare all future mango smoothies too. Then we took off for the first hike of our adventure. I loved how there wasn't a clearly defined trail. We passed NO ONE. The first pool of water my kids and husband loved jumping off of the boulders. The second one was just as fun and beautiful as the first. We ate a lunch of tamales and empanadas that Edgardo brought....so freaking good!!! After the hike, we went back to Santiago to gather our luggage. You had the option of riding a bike back or going in the vehicle to Santiago. Some of us biked while others went in the truck. We then made our way to the base camp that we'd spend 2 nights at. It's way out there and zero cell service but that added to the charm! Edgardo provided the tent, sleeping bag and pad. Dinner was made by the local family who owns the ranch we were camped at. The food was just fantastic. Nothing beats authentic mexican food with freshly made tortillas. The view of the stars at night was wonderful. The next day, Edgardo made a delicious breakfast including a yummy tea made from brewing the citrus leaves off a tree in the camp. Then we went on a longer hike that took us to a few more pools of water to play in. Again, no other people or tours. We had the place to ourselves. It was so nice to not feel rushed too. Edgardo wanted us to enjoy the time there. We ate a lunch of sandwiches, chips and fresh picked grapefruits before continuing to explore. Dinner was again with the local family. Had this great hibiscus drink with dinner. The next morning we got up early to make it to the Santa rita hot springs before it filled up due to the covid capacity of 24 people. Hot springs were nice and relaxing. Then we explored further up to two more pools of water and little waterfalls to play/relax by. We then made our way back to Santiago and made pizzas to cook in his clay fire oven for lunch. Such a fun experience. My kids thought it was so cool to put in and take out their own pizzas from the fire oven. From there we drove to Cabo Pulmo. Edgardo arranged for us to stay at the Baja bungalows. In fact, I'm typing this up now as I lay in this comfortable bed. The place is Spacious and comfortable! We had the evening to ourselves and were in charge of our dinner. Then the next day, Edgardo came and made us pancakes with a delicious caramel chocolate tasting sauce plus mangos. So good! Then we did a snorkel tour he arranged with a local company which was nice though the water felt super cold. Edgardo made us a salad for lunch that my kids had multiple helpings of. Edgardo then met us to go do a coastal hike. It was beautiful! Sadly, tomorrow is our last day with Edgardo. Again he plans to come make us breakfast and he'll take us to a new beach and another hike before saying goodbye after lunch. I know tomorrow's adventure will be fantastic because everything else has been so far. My kids said that he's their favorite tour guide EVER and I have to agree. He's just so nice and you can tell he genuinely loves the outdoors and showing people Baja. He's great with kids and fun to talk with. Communication prior to our trip was great and I felt he really listened to what I was hoping to see and do with the family. My kids had so much fun and we were all happily worn out by the end of each day. Edgardo also was very mindful of social distancing. He wore a mask when preparing food or when we were in an enclosed vehicle. Had hand sanitizer stations and soap. In my opinion this is a must-do tour. It's not fancy but it is special and you'll see things no other tour is offering.

Cabo Pulmo Watersports! Leo was our diving instructor and we could not say enough good things about the whole diving experience start to finish with him. From fitting us with wet suits, to actually being in the water, he prepped us with all the teaching that we needed to feel comfortable and confident throughout the day. Jonathan was the boat caption, was very kind and knowledgeable, and it was evident that he is a great guy. They had drinks and fresh fruit on the boat so we didn't go hungry in between diving locations. All the staff at Cabo Pulmo Watersports were friendly and seemed respectful. These guys definitely know their stuff! We can't wait until we get to return and dive with them again!

My partner got me a private whale watching and snorkeling experience here and it was so memorable! It was my first time doing any of this and I felt safe and tended to throughout the whole experience. The guide shared information about everything we saw - marine behavior, mating habits, etc. She didn’t fill up the time with endless talk, either as many people in this profession tend to do. There was plenty of time to just sit and enjoy the elements! I’d love to come back again!

Cabo Pulmo Watersports is a breezy open welcoming spot, walking distance from the ocean. Everything happens with a smile - from registering your dive certificates to meeting your dive guide to getting onto the water. Our dive guide was Leonardo who knows very well Cabo Pulmo both under the water and above. He was personable and very helpful - not just for diving but also for where to eat, how to get here or there, or where to stay. We had two dives/ one day out on the water with Leo and a second day with another one of CPW's dive guides. The visibility was not great when we were there in May but the water was full of life - it was so good we are returning in November when the visibility is supposedly better and the waters full of jacks. At all times on the boat we felt well supported by Leo - his approach to diving is informed, safe and very enjoyable. Leo is also full of wonderful diving stories given his vast experience as a dive instructor and dive guide in many different countries and dive environments, and we had some lovely moments listening to his diving adventures over a cool Cabo Pulmo lunch. Post-diving the washing, hanging and sorting of kit was easy and there was a good post-dive chat around the communal tables with other divers comparing what we had seen that morning in the waters. What is so great about the diving here is that it is all within the protected waters of Cabo Pulmo National Park. The enclosed protected area ensures that the numbers of divers at any one dive site is limited and the sea creatures protected from over-tourism. We loved the diving at Cabo Pulmo so much we are back in November. Thanks to Leo and all the crew and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We had a fantastic experience on our snorkeling trip with Cabo Pulmo Watersports. They came highly recommended by a friend, and we couldn't have been happier with our trip. They set us up with quality gear - wetsuits, snorkel gear - and a wonderful guide Andy, who was very knowledgeable about all of the fish we saw, and even spotted several sea turtles. She started out the trip by asking what we wanted to see so she could plan the stops based on our wish list. Though we stopped at 3-4 places and did some whale watching in between, it never felt rushed and we saw so much incredible marine life - tons of colorful fish, sea lions, turtles, whales. Andy let us spend as much or as little time as we wanted in each spot. We also absolutely love that the community came together in the 90's in support of the marine reserve, and abandoned fishing so they could focus on conservation and tourism instead. This has resulted in one of the most successful marine reserves in the world, with an increase of 450% in fish population. We love supporting regenerative, eco-experiences like these. We will definitely be back - hopefully to learn to dive next time!

DEFINITELY dive with Cabo Pulmo Watersports, best in town for sure! Leo was our instructor for getting our deep dive certification - he was amazing. Super fun and energetic and straight to the point which meant we were able to get into the water sooner. Super good vibes all round - no better way to go diving, we wanted to just hang around with everyone after. The diving is simply terrific too. Thank you Leo!!

Beautiful scenery and majestic waters await. There were several places to scuba and snorkel the reefs. The prices seemed to be the same at most down by the water. $1300 pesos a person for a 2 hour snorkel tour. Sea lions and tortuga were int he waters as well as whales during our visit. We were able to see whales from shore splashing in the waves. Unfortunately, we did not go out in the water as we visited on a very windy day. There were a few restaurants available at the main NP entrance for boats.

Amazing beautiful must-see location! We went snorkelling with the Cabo Pulmo Sports Centre and had lunch at “Tacos and Beer” that we enjoyed! If you aren’t scared of a dirt road, go here! We saw 5 humpback whales, sea lions, the reefs and the beautiful beaches! Looks like people can camp in their RVs right there as well.

Nice beach with parking for campers. Not much to see in the water as the coral has been broken. Out further though, available by boat, is some beautiful reef areas. There’s also an area with sea lions (again boat access only) and a snorkel area that can be reached from shore. The shore snorkeling also has mostly broken coral and dead zones though we saw sea turtles and a few puffer fish. Further out in the dive zones there are also lovely reefs so the best method is to hire a snorkel or dive boat.

An absolute dream. Quiet, clean, wide, white sandy beaches, not many people, and protected bays for easy snorkelling. Dog-friendly, un-pretentious, with a great little taco restaurant in the tiny little town. A short drive from San Jose del Cabo, we went for a day trip and it was an ideal excursion. Advise bringing your own water, snacks etc because there’s not much there other than dive shops and little informal restaurants.

One of the most beautiful places! The water is so blue. The beach is covered in rocks so water shoes are recommended. Huge scuba location but snorkeling is also available for non divers. The small town on the coast of the park is an off the grid location. There is no readily available wifi so be prepared to use your data with intermittent outages. Most places prefer cash or only take cash. There are no electric lines so pictures are unobstructed. Due to limited lights at night this is a great place for star gazing and astrophotography. There is a store but if you have strong preferences, you pick up supplies before heading to Cabo Pulmo. The business owners are very friendly. I highly recommend carving out a couple of days to visit but do your research and be prepared.

100% worth visiting! We made 2 open water dives in the park and it was one of the most fascinating experiences I’ve ever had. One of them was a dive with the bull sharks. Don’t worry, the sharks were very friendly. I would recommend to plan this trip ahead since there are limited amount of people can dive at once.

Beautiful water on this trip to Cabo Pulmo. Huge schools of fish, many mantas, moray eels and other colorful creatures. Great support from the crew for another awesome dive.

Awesome snorkel tour! We were a group of 8, and then tour was quite prompt and never felt rushed. Our guide asked casually if we wanted to see whales, and omg it’s so amazing! We spent an hour watching about 20 grey whales, and they got under our boat and two fellow passengers touched the whale! We also saw a few humpback whales at a small distance. Then we did 3 snorkel sites, the first one was at a reef area (a bit wavy but not too much), second one was Los arbolitos beach (very choppy), the third one was a sea lion resting area (very calm), and there was one sea lion in the water and it was fab to swim with it. After the second stop we were served fruits and homemade banana bread with cinnamon tea, which is exactly what I needed at the right time. Afterwards we can use their shower and toilet a little bit down the road, also drinking water. Overall a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it!

We had a great tour on a nice shaded boat. Bring your own bottled water and snacks because the water they bring is shared in plastic cups. Also be sure to bring reef-safe sunscreen. Swam with sea lions, saw schools of fish etc. The portion of coral reef we were taken to was not as colorful as I remembered from another trip - while we saw some colorful pretty fish we did not see the really pretty colorful plants under the water that I had been taken to by another vendor in 2009. I don’t know if the coral reef was under sand due to recent storms or if they didn’t take us to the best area or if the area has degraded. Still a great experience overall. We went to the exact places all the tourists were at. It’s a lot less dense tourism than what you see in Cabo San Lucas. Very few small boats. I think a vendor named Memo might be the one who took me to the better area years ago and also made lunch on a beach during the tour, which this vendor does not do - they passed out cut fruit. Because of storms in 2024 the roads in have been covered in sand so a 4-wheel drive truck would be the way to get here. We went in regular rental car and it was rough and slow going getting there - the only route in was from the north as the southern road was impassable. Your best bet until the roads are cleared would be to see if the tour companies are bringing in people- take the van from Cabo San Lucas if it’s running - it costs more but safer that way.

We had an awesome snorkel tour! We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), and then tour was perfect. We started swimming with a large school of big-eyed jacks, which was pretty cool. While snorkeling with them, a mom and baby humpback whales swam under us and passed in front of us within around 10-15 feet. I understand this is very rare, but it was a once in a lifetime experience. We then went to three other snorkel sites, where we were able to see hard and soft corals, numerous fish, and a sea turtle. On our way back to the launch area, we slowing passed by the shore where we saw probably around 50-100 reef sharks in the shallows. We were served homemade banana bread with cinnamon tea, which was good to warm us up a bit. Overall a fantastic tour and I highly recommend it!

Fabulous tour! It is absolutely worth renting a car and going on a tour with this family owned company with generations of roots in this area. The captain and guide were excellent. The gear was high quality and clean. The snacks were delicious and thoughtful- especially the hot tea! We snorkeled with beautiful fish, swam with sea turtles and sea lions and saw several whales. My 8 year old son had the time of his life.

Eco Adventures was an excellent experience in Cabo Pulmo. Cesar and his team provided expert guidance and safety measures, they took us to top snorkeling sites in Cabo Pulmo. It was our first time snorkeling and they were patient, professional, caring and very friendly. They handle logistics like boat transportation, equipment, and included snacks and refreshments, they also have great communication through WhatsApp. We had an amazing time and experience with Eco Adventures, worth the trip - even with the unpaved road parts - and the price to go see this natural beauty.

Awesome experience! They can fit up to 8 per panga (boat), 3 minimum I think. No set schedule - they go when they have people ready to go. About $45 per person for the 3-hour snorkel tour, including several stops. Less for larger groups. We had 13 so used two boats. First stop was snorkeling at the reef - it was great. We had better snorkeling farther north, but the fish were bigger here, which was fun. Then we saw a sea turtle, multiple whales breach, and the highlight of our trip: a large pod of dolphins surrounded us for a while, playing in the boat wake and racing with us! Awesome! Next was swimming with sea lions- great fun too! Then a couple other snorkel stops (nothing too memorable, we were hoping to swim with sea turtles but didn't find any), and then saw some sharks on the way back to town. Great boats, great guide, great staff. All around great experience. Well worth the cost!

I highly recommend this family owned company for a tour at Cabo Pulmo. They provided all the information about the national park, rules and tour route. The captain and guide were friendly and provide all the help needed specially with our kids.

Chileno Bay is an incredible beach and easily our favorite during our trip to Cabo! Parking was free, and the walk from the lot to the beach was quick and easy. The beach itself is beautiful, with soft sand and plenty of space to relax. Lifeguards are on duty, which adds peace of mind, and the sunrise here is absolutely stunning. While it wasn’t too crowded most days, Sundays were definitely busier. One of the highlights was the snorkeling there’s a rocky area where fish love to gather, making for an amazing underwater experience. I’d recommend bringing your own chairs and umbrella, or you can conveniently rent them right on the beach. Out of the eight days we spent in Cabo, we visited Chileno Bay three times, it’s just that good! Highly recommend!

I found Chileno Bay Beach to be a great beach to spend a day at. Snorkelling is best in and around the rocks to the right of the beach when you walk down the boardwalk. I would recommend water shoes/flippers as you’ll need to take breaks on the rocks and there are a few sea urchin’s as to be expected. Maybe a life jacket as well if you have little ones or if your not the strongest swimmer, as the under tow can work against you. Pack a lunch and drinks as public food options are limited. There are public bathrooms and showers just up the boardwalk. Parking lot can get quite packed. There are beach vendors that rent chairs and umbrellas at about $38CAD (1 chair, 1 umbrella) so if your going for a day you may as well bring those too. I found the sand to be more rocky towards the left of the beach and beyond. It’s a blue flag beach which means it has upkeep standards to meet, I would recommend Chileno Bay Beach!

Amazing beaches which the water was calm, good for snorkeling or watching the marine ecosystem by the rocks (tide pools), plenty of crabs and tiny fishes plus sea birds.

We came to this beautiful beach around 12 noon, weather was really nice 87 F no clouds, we only brought swimsuits, sun block and good sandals. You can rent for $300 pesos an umbrella and $100 for a chair whatever time you need them. There are guys selling drinks and fruit. Parking is free and you can find restrooms at the entrance of the beach that you can use. Overall a great experience, super clean and very family friendly.

A beautiful sheltered beach a few miles from Cabo. It’s a public beach so parking can be an issue. But it’s worth it. There’s a reasonable changing room, toilets and showers which is a plus. The beach is always busy but we had no problem finding a spot. The rightmost area has a reef for snorkeling but we found schools of fish just offshore in 2-4’ of water. In June, the water temperature was around 85° or so.

What a magnificent beach! I was so pleasantly surprised from the parking lot as I was expecting something more rustic, but it was paved and with plenty of spaces. Then the facilities with bathrooms and showers were clean and in very good shape, so that’s an added bonus. And then of course the best part was the beach: LOVELY! Super calm clear waters for swimming and snorkeling. The fish swim to the shore, you can spot them so easily at your feet, that was super neat. We had gone prepared with drinks and food in a cooler plus chairs and umbrella, but saw that they also rented and there was a also someone in the beach that sold drinks and food. Preferred this beach much more than Sedano beach as there is no one trying to sell you stuff
