Awesome botanical garden. Biggest stained glass I have ever seen. Very clean inside. There is also a pond with koy fish. Cash only and they don’t take bigger denomination bills. They don’t have change to give you.

I like the Cosmovitral because it is very beautiful. First, it is a very big place and you can walk a lot. Secondly, it is a very peaceful place so you can relax. Next, it is in a nice location and it is easy to visit. Also, you feel relaxed because there are many plants and colors. Plus: It has a hot climate. Drink water before you go and wear comfortable clothes. Finally, going to the Cosmovitral is a good idea because you can enjoy art plus nature.

Amazing! Highly recommend. We receive a great tour and expectation of all the different stores behind each strain glass. The ground and beautiful. There are lots of opportunities for some amazing photos.

Beautiful waterfall with essentially no restriction on how close you can get other than your own common sense. Lots of vendors along the way, beginning with restaurants by the parking area, simple cabana type bars along part of the trail, then souvenir and clothing stalls. Two little girls came up to us and asked if we wanted to hear the story of the waterfall. We couldn't help but say yes. You'll have to go yourself and hear the legend, and don't forget to give those kids a few pesos for the story. It looked like you could also ride horses down the trail. Be prepared for rain and go carefully on the trail when wet.

Excellent trekking forest and natural reserve/park, the sights are gorgeous if you're the nature loving kind, you can trail down to the bottom of the falls and come as close as you like. There are decks from where you can see the falls if you don't feel like going down the rustic trail to the foot of the falls and picnic in the designated area. It's a good adventure and a good trip to take, just wear comfy shoes and clothing, fit for the walk to and from this magnificent place, definitely recommend it. Although it has areas that are a bit archaic, it's a beautiful place to visit, nothing fancy but surely beautiful falls.

Great hike. We took a four wheeler tour to this town and then hiked 15 minutes down to see the beautiful waterfall. The hike itself was moderately easy, there’s a bridge and then dirt road. Wearing walking shoes is recommended. When you get to the bottom there are plenty of rocks to climb to take a moment to yourself and breathe in the water as well as listen to it. A great way to spend your afternoon!

It's a nice place to go and enjoy a cool falls, isn't that big lbut it worth go all the way down by Walk to get some cool pictures. When you go back up to the parking lot, be ready for the irregular stairs and some bumps on the walk way. You can grab some souvenirs at the stores on the top, remember to bring good shoes for the long way walking.

A fee will be collected at the parking lot at the foot of the mountain. The overall view is inspirational and breathtaking. Take a hike if you have enough time. The best way to get there is to hire a taxi all the to the foot of the mountain, it will cost about 1000 pesos round trip.

The town is wonderful. Now about the hike to the mountain: the tourist entry from the town side cost 30 pesos, but they never give you any information. Like : sorry, the top is closed today. This side of the mountain is private. Yes, unlike Europe or the usa, people here in Mexico get to own mountains, lakes, rivers… all of it and then monetize it. If you want to enjoy the nature like civilized people do, you need to pay for it and then abide the stupid rules. Yes, there are plenty of those. I highly suggest you enter the mountain from the west side, from the camping grounds- it’s free and the hike is much more scenic . Good luck! 👍

In the middle of a very busy street in the middle of an equally hectic city is this astounding example of a historically significant piece of architecture and engineering. The Aqueduct of Queretaro runs a fair distance and although one could walk, bike, or drive the entire distance, it is not necessary. At the point on Google Maps where this pin is placed is a plaza with benches, some information boards, a few artistic bronze statues, and it is an excellent spot to take some photos of this engineering marvel. The fact that at the time of my visit there was a group of university grads taking photos in their grad gowns tells me this is a popular spot amongst locals for that special photo. I am really glad I came here to check out this gem and am awarding this with 5 stars.

The aqueduct stretches for a good while, over a kilometer, so your experience of it will vary depending on where you see it. To be honest, it's not that impressive. Five minutes after you get there you'll be done taking your pictures and looking for something else to do.

I cannot descibe how it feels to walk along this aquaduct. Imagining water flowing to supply the city but this is not some ugly piece of utilitarian passage for water. The arches are beautiful but walk along and look at the old buildings that are an arms width away. The city has so much history and until you visit you will not be under its spell. It took awhile but with true love it grabs you when you least expect it...I miss Morela with all my heart.

Just a beautiful parroquia (cathedral) to see in San Miguel de Allende. You don’t have to be catholic to appreciate the beauty and design of this church. You’ll see it from all around town. It’s the center of town for a reason and admired and appreciated by all her residents. Highly recommend.

Fantatstic art and antiques galley. We walked there and back from the plaza in Centro. So many eye popping displays. I snapped these images before I realized they ask for no photos throughout. I feel like these images do not egregiously snub that request. I discovered many things. I discovered a few art classes and a new artist I will be following. Well worth a return!

Stairs stairs stairs everywhere. Please be advised if you have lower extremity problems. Otherwise this is the best view of the city. Its breathtaking. And dont pass up the local food and snacks being offered at the top by the locals. DELICIOUS! If you are fit and decide to opt out of the lift car (either up or back down), my husband climbed the stairs and said it took him 5-10 min. He was winded but he said it wasnt bad.

I especially love visiting here in the late afternoon, sitting atop the hill with a gentle evening breeze, watching the old town bathed in the colorful glow of the sunset. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and romantic—perfect for relaxing and taking photos!

It has a beautiful view of the city. We went during the day, but can imagine how beautiful it must look at night. It's very cold, so make sure to go in warm clothes.

Two options to go here : funicular ride or the stairs. The hike is tiring but great things to see too. I go up with stairs and go down with funicular. The funicular cost 40 peso and stairs are free. Nice view from th platform. Big statue of pipila on top of the hill. Some shops nearby and also toilet is nearby.

Great spot and a delightful view of El Centro, the downtown city center and the river of commerce that flows through its base. You can see a big chunk of this historic city from here but certainly not the whole thing, you need to visit La Buffa to see it all and that's a hike, like an actual hike with a bit of amateur rock climbing required. Bring a hiking stick if you go up there, it's like a third leg. But back to Pipila. There is a short funicular ride up for $40MX pesos. A steal compared to the heart attack you might have trying to take the path and steps which are not marked well, if at all. It doesn't look very far away or up and maybe technically it isn't but you aren't walking a ladder up to it so it's a pretty circuitous route. I recommend hitching a ride up on said funicular and then walking down from there. Behave like water here and you will never be lost. Just keep going downhill until you can't and you will be at the basin of the river of commerce and everything leads from there. Behave opposite of water and you will find little treasures off the beaten path. Better food and charming shops. You cannot get lost because if you don't know where you are you only need behave like water and soon enough you'll splash into the river of commerce again. This place was built up by geological forces and carved out by millennia of floods and monsoon rains. Don't fight it. Get lost. Be water. Be found. Find a bench. Find yourself.

It's a must-visit place when you come to Guanajuato. There is a cable car, but if you can walk, I recommend following the route signs from near Union Garden

I was surprised by this museum! 😱 There were so many different mummies. And some bad stories, too! They have the YOUNGEST mummy in the world, a 6-month old fetus mummy! 😱 And the stories are in English & Spanish! 🙏🏼 I wish there were English tours available. Or headset to listen to stories... Or QR codes to read more about the stories.. that would be nice.. No bathrooms inside 😔 Pay bathrooms outside.

Now you see kids, this is what happens when you don't pay your bills! Pretty interesting but pretty creepy too. Beats the Egyptian mummy museums hands down. We were there in mid-May and walked there from the funicular. A long hill on the last part but not bad.

I loved this mummy—honestly, it fascinated me on so many levels. When I first walked into the museum, there was a noticeable scent. Not a creepy or unpleasant one, but something strangely familiar… earthy, maybe? It felt like the scent of time itself. What the staff didn’t mention was that my 106-peso ticket only allowed access to the basic exhibit. I didn’t realize this until I was about to leave and noticed there were other areas I couldn’t enter. That part was a bit disappointing—so make sure you buy the full ticket if you go. The tour guides spoke only Spanish, so I didn’t understand much at the time. But once I got home and did my research, everything clicked. These mummies are completely natural. No embalming. No rituals. They were discovered when the government exhumed bodies due to unpaid burial taxes—and shockingly, many were perfectly preserved by the dry conditions and the unique soil. The first mummy ever found was a priest, which is why he’s quite famous here. But the most heart-wrenching and iconic is the six-month-old baby mummy. The baby was found still in its mother’s arms—most likely both died during childbirth. That image really stuck with me. What struck me most was how this baby, who would’ve been seen as a symbol of the divine, ended up buried without breath, sealed in sawdust, only to survive time as a mummy. It’s philosophical. It’s poetic. And no, it’s not scary at all. These mummies are oddly endearing. Almost gentle in the way they speak to mortality. Later, while walking through the local market, I saw some sweet potatoes and tree roots in the same earthy tones as the mummies. Everything started to feel connected—like nature, death, time, and even snacks are speaking in the same color palette. Wild, right? So if you’re visiting Guanajuato: 💀 Don’t skip the mummy museum. 🎟️ Buy the full ticket. 📚 Read up afterward if you don’t speak Spanish. 😌 And if you’re scared—honestly, don’t be. These mummies aren’t scary. They’re full of stories and quiet wisdom. If you’re too afraid… maybe it’s best not to come. But if you’re curious, it’s absolutely worth it.

Glad I read the reviews beforehand so I knew what to expect. GO DIRECTLY TO THE MUSEUM PARKING. Be prepared to pay extra if using a card. Went in the morning. Hardly anyone was there besides random people (4+) trying AGRESSEVELY to hawk super inflated items in the parking lot. The exhibits were nice enough, but not very informative. Maybe 15 of the mummies actually had an explanation of their origins. Didn't pay extra for the fancier exhibits though. The gift shop had a decent selection, but also inflated prices. $230 pesos for a T shirt when other vendors are selling for around $150. All in all if you're in the area it's a fine museum, but I wouldn't make this the sole reason to visit GTO.

Arrived around 2pm on a Sunday. Waited for ticket and entry for about 45 minutes. 120 pesos for the main exhibit and the extra room. They bring you in in groups, but they don't pay attention to how many people have left before letting more people in, so the museum gets so packed that you literally cannot walk to see the exhibits until your group moves to the next room. By the time your group moves to the next room, the group or 2 behind you are already filling up that room so it's packed again. I think this was because my group was offered a free guide, so they stayed in each room longer to listen to his information. But I wanted to also see the mummies, so I eventually waited for my group to go a few rooms ahead and by the time I was maybe 3 or 4 groups behind and the guide was nowhere in sight, finally there was room to walk and see the mummies. Very bad organization! The mummies themselves are cool and the extra room was nice and quicker to walk through without the crowds. Took about 45 minutes to walk through the entire museum, with being stuck waiting for the crowds to move for 5+ minutes in each room. I think if you go earlier or maybe on a weekday, you'd have less chance of a crowd. I also think being in a group with a free guide was not good with such a large group.

The most expensive museum I visited in Guanajuato and the most interesting/disappointing as well. When you enter the first room, it is very cool seeing the mummies and how well preserved they are and learning about how some of them died. Then you walk into another room...and same thing. Then another room with the same. Then another room with the same....you get the idea... Also they say to try and be quiet but the tour guy is shouting loudly and people are talking on the phones etc. Bottom line - interesting but basic exhibit and poorly organized. Tickets were 106 pesos for adults.

First time visiting. Very interesting. Worth the trip. A long line on Sunday, super crowded and a long wait to purchase tickets and enter. Group tours led by a guide. Too many people to fit in each salon and it was hard to hear the guide. Also, as a non native speaker it was extremely difficult to understand all the complex aspects of the tour/museum/mummies. However it was still very interesting and memorable.

This church is just amazing! The architecture is astounding. The acustics is very good, you can hear someone talking in front of the church all the way to the back. This is a must see for anyone. And behind the church is the catacombes, spooky and historical check that out.

It is a very beautiful place that you must visit in Leon!! And if you have a chance to go inside, DO IT! It is even more beautiful. When I was there I felt I could breathe freshy peacefulness air. Very nice place to sit down, relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

What can I say?... It’s beautiful! The architecture and design of this antique treasure is delightful to the eye. And, I find really awesome that it has a big space to walk around and take great photos. If you like renaissance a-like places, you will love this place. I think this is the right and first location you should visit when starting your tour in León, Guanajuato, not only due to it’s greatness, but also because you can rent a bicycle from there and, with an app, you’ll be guided through the city for an hour. A nice thing.

Such a gorgeous church, inside and out. Great atmosphere. If you haven’t gone inside the church or never visited it, I highly recommend you do that.

A mixed bag. Tickets are affordable and available, there is hardly a line to enter the place. The interior houses a few photo galleries, with rotating expositions, and not much else. The central building with it's high vaulted ceilings and frescoes is the main attraction. It is peaceful though and at times you will find yourself alone in this huge complex.

Return visit a decade plus later and the Orozco murals still impress. Beautiful location and peaceful hideaway from the bustling crowds. Bonus: Tuesday entry was free so you can donate more to charity

Really dont like rating so low but besides the history of the building there are few unimpressive exhibits. Orozco murals are good, if cost was lower perhaps 2 stars. Didn't understand massive historical building, nice courtyards, yet so little to see for 110 pesos. Was a large group of important people back of building closed off didnt help the experience.

A must visit place in Guadalajara. With it's long history as an hospice and culture space this colonial jem helds different contemporary art exhibitions and one of the mos extraordinary murales in México. You could easily spend 2 or 3 hours walking around the different galleries. A visit to the museum store is also recommended.

This is one of my favorite places in Guadalajara !!! The murals of Jose Clemente Orozco are extremely impactful… the place is a build of art !!!

At the Hospicio Cabañas in Guadalajara, which is very beautiful, and of course the murals are the highlight of the place. In addition, there is a person who narrates in detail the history and meaning of the murals.

An amalgamation of architectural styles with much history relative to most buildings in the Americas. The icons in the cathedral are sometimes more bloody in depiction than other churches I have visited. Greater emphasis on Mary in churches and cathedrals here, congruent with the attempt to overlay pagan deities with saints and Holy Mothers. There is another separate church attached. This part of the city is very walkable and Guadalajara’s devotion to the arts is admirable

Catedral Basílica de la Asunción de María Santísima remains central to Guadalajara where it has stood since the 17th century. Still architecturally stunning despite fires, age and earthquakes the capitol's center of worship is a must-see from the detailed pulpit to crypts below. Home to the relics of St. Innocent, expect large crowds during times of worship.

It's a large and imposing building that I wouldn't exactly call beautiful. The architecture seems eclectic, and the towers seem out of place withe rest of the building there are quite a few beggars and questionable characters hanging out in front of the church. Other than that, a nice edifice, just not the nicest.

Just visited the incredible Guachimontones archaeological site near Teuchitlán, Jalisco! These circular pyramids are unlike anything else in Mexico and a truly amazing sight to behold, sitting at the base of the majestic Tequila volcano. It's wild to think that the people who built this place lived here long before the lifetime of Jesus Christ. This site was amazing. Get a guide who knows the area to take you on a tour. You have to arrange this ahead of time but if you ask enough people you'll be able to find someone. Our guide worked in excavation at the site for 20+ years so he knew what made it special and he shared culturally significant information. The museum was good but we definitely got to see the inside works by having a guide. Tip: if you're not in decent shape, or if you're traveling with young children or older adults, ask at the museum about getting a ride to the site. It's not a long walk but it's very steep, there's no shade, and nowhere to sit down.

Arrived Saturday at 4pm and it was plenty of time to explore. $30MX per adult. There are very clean bathroom facilities by the parking and an air conditioned museum that presents a 15 minute documentary. Highly recommend to go in the museum before walking to the pyramids. There is a 15 minute incline walk up to the pyramids, be warned. Wear comfortable shoes and depending on the time of day it can get really hot. It was very interesting and it deserves a visit.

What an amazing place. I was not aware of round pyramids until now! Get a guide and plan on 3 hours. PLUS, as seniors, we did not pay admission. Highly recommend.

A truly beautiful tequila distillery nestled in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Tequila. The tour we joined was incredibly informative, offering a clear understanding of the tequila distilling process, and we got to taste a variety of tequilas, which was a fantastic highlight.

We spent 4 hours at the Jose Cuervo distillery learning all about the distilling process, tasting different tequilas, learning how to drink tequila, blending our own tequila and, finally, lunch. Alfredo, our guide, also took us through Jose Cuervo's and tequila's history as well as the controls around the whole agave and tequila production process. A really good tour.

Brilliant! 100% don't miss!! So many sites on the internet say this place is only open certain days. If the review you read is more than 5 minutes old l, forget it. This town is evolving and distilleries like this are pretty much open everyday. Just show up and ask for a tour. I have been to Mexico about 20 times and my favorite thing is to visit small unique towns. Tequila is an incredible place if you want authentic Mexican culture, food, kind people, and good vibes. But this town has one extra thing, tequila!!! La Rojeña is where the José Cuervo magic happens. The tour is completely informative, explaining the tequila making process in detail, and at the end (if you pay the extra pesos for the tasting package, a MUST in my opinion) you get a view into tequila flavors and nuance that I never knew existed! Trust me, stop reading this review and just go there! The tasting at the end is amazing! It was absolutely brilliant! Our guide (sorry, can't remember her name) was perfect. At each stop, though the factory is loud, she had a mic connected to Bose speakers so you could hear every word (I did the English speaking tour). At the end you can buy special made tequilas at factory prices. Absolutely no pressure to buy, but a good deal all the same! I am fairly cynical when it comes to touristy things, this is a 100% don't miss!!!

Fun and informative tours! We did the classic plus the extra tasting. Our guide spoke great English, was incredibly knowledgeable, and fun to spend an hour with. You get to see quite a bit of the factory and drink 3 strong shots before even starting the tasting so be prepared to consume a good amount of tequila. Would recommend to a friend.

If you enjoy drinking low-quality, industrial tequila loaded with artificial additives, then this is the place for you! Otherwise, I strongly recommend visiting La Fortaleza, Cascahuín, or Casa Atanasio, just a few of the family-owned distilleries that still honor the true tradition of tequila making.

From the video at the beginning of the tour to the tasting at the end this experience was well worth the 400+ pesos we spent. Our guide was amazing! The tequila was palate changing. Would go again in a heart beat.

We were drawn in by the huge bird sculpture in the courtyard, but stayed for the excellent tour and tasting. Don't miss the Tradicional Añejo ... They only sell it here!

We purchased the guided tour and lunch package. It was my birthday and I was very excited to visit the gardens. Our driver was great and our guide was amazing. He explained the history of the gardens on the way up and on the tour through the gardens was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. His ability to know all the plants and their multiple names left me dumbfounded. The restaurant was wonderful as well. The food and view were simply incredible. (the chicken enchiladas were to die for!) Our guide told the waiters it was my birthday and they sang Happy Birthday, complete with violin! After, we walked around the adorable giftshop and explored on our own for about an hour. We did not visit the river due to the recent rains. NOTE: make sure you have bug spray, Off was the spray that worked for us.

We visited the Vallarta Botanical Gardens today for the first time, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The drive itself, about 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, was already part of the adventure, winding through lush green hills, ocean views, and even a few little roadside waterfalls. 💪🌞🚙✨ The gardens are stunning. Every corner bursts with life from towering trees to endless varieties of cacti and tropical flowers and a turtle friend. 🌴🌵🐢 This weekend happened to be Mariposa Butterfly Weekend, and we were lucky to see dozens of colorful butterflies fluttering around like nature’s confetti. 🌺🪻🦋🐞 We also hiked down to the stream, where we dipped our feet in the cool water, refreshing and peaceful, the perfect nature recharge. 🩵💦 Highly recommended for anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta! 🌺 Just bring water, some mosquito repellent, and your sense of wonder.

This is a gorgeous place and a must visit if you are in the Puerto Vallarta area. Their restaurant food is delicious, I loved their enchiladas and flan. It was ver special because of the view and the musicians playing while we had Lunch. Make sure to visit the chapel which is gorgeous too. Their driveways are made of rocks so consider that if you are bringing a baby/stroller. Finally the staff and personal was very kind. Don’t forget your repellent for the mosquitos

Overall we had a nice time at the gardens. I love that this used to be just a patch of land with nothing on it and through sheer donations and work the owners and community made it a beautiful place. We booked the shuttle that leaves zona romantica and takes you straight to the gardens, and comes with admission. It costs 1,200 mxn per person which seems a bit expensive but we were at least happy not having to negotiate taxi prices and the driver was very friendly and a great driver. The route takes about 45 mins and is on Mexican roads so if you get car sick on bumpy roads I recommend bringing gravol just on case. Also want to mention there is a taxi that usually hangs at the entrance of the gardens in case you are worried about finding a way back home from the gardens... but not sure how much they charge. We came on a super hot day in September so by the end of the four hours we were pretty depleted and ready to go home. We were happy that our driver let us sit on the AC's van while we waited for the other passengers. The nice part of this garden is that lots of things were in full bloom. There were a ton of butterflies which were beautiful and lovely orchids that smelt lovely. There was nice areas with turtles and tortoises and a beautiful koi pond. ... One of our main downsides was that this also meant there were the most amount of giant spiders I've ever seen. I think we were illprepared for the amount of giant spider webs we would have to avoid while walking through the various areas and paths. We tried to walk down to the river and once we had to go past our third giant spider web we decided to abandon mission and go back to the main trails haha. But if you are braver come ready to swim. We also tried some of the smaller hike loops but felt more like we were rushing out so we don't get eaten by spiders. Maybe this is just us being scardy-cats but just being honest 😅 We did have a really nice time at the restaurant and wish we had stayed there longer. We saw some amazing birds and humming birds from our table that overlooks the jungle area! Also want to note. I got so many mosquitoe bites after,even when applying bugspray multiple times. So be prepared for that or spray yourself more !

Great experience w the family. Very scenic drive to reach the Gardens. Everyone at the Garden is very friendly and helpful. The hikes vary in difficulty and terrain, and you can choose what fits you best The restaurant was AMAZING!! We are looking forward to coming back again soon Plenty of parking. Had a fantastic time exploring the gardens. Took the bus from Puerto Vallarta (50pesos/person). Don't forget the bug spray! I'd encourage anyone who's interested to spend a half day here. We had so mich fun getting lost in the gardens and seeing all the native plants Jalisco has to offer. We saw countless butterflies and glimpses of hummingbirds. Don't forget the resturaunt, such a beautiful view and delicious.

A beautiful place. The restaurant is amazing food and lots of humming birds. Be sure to only view upper gardens. Lower trails were very unmarked and dangerous.. do not try hiking trails unless fit and bug spray.

This church was listed as one of the sights to see in PV. While I'm not a religious person, I don't mind seeing churches for their architectural value. Its located one street above the Tepic Puerto Vallarta, the main road that runs along the ocean, exactly where the Malecon Boardwalk starts at the north end. When you see the amphitheater and arches, turn around and you'll see a small park-like plaza across the street. Walk through it, and the church is at the other end. Its not hard to find as the building is taller than the rest. The red brick & stone church has no real front grounds, as only a sidewalk and a few steps separate it from the busy road, so its not the prettiest upon first glance. The top of the bell tower is uniquely finished with a wrought iron sculpture shaped into a crown that pays homage to an empress of Mexico. The doors were wide open, so I was able to snap a quick pic. There were a few worshipers sitting inside but no service was going on. The pews sit on marble floors, with high ceilings and columns decorated with simple ornate trim. Further in is an even taller rotunda ceiling draped by a purple curtain, with a grand centerpiece & painting. Mass in English is done on Saturdays, with Spanglish mix on Sundays.

A beautiful church dedicated to our Lady of Guadalupe. There’s mass daily 3 times. At 7.30 am 12 noon and 7 pm all in Spanish but easy to follow for those non Spanish speakers. It’s quiet so good to pray and reflect as well

This church is pretty underwhelming considering how it is made out to be. It’s touristy in the most ordinary way. Church needs a tea good refurbishment. Exterior is good. Seen much better in other places across the world.

The Tower of the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is visible from the Malecon, but the church itself is not. It caught my attention because of the lacy looking Crown on top. Turns out the ‘crown’ is symbolic of a tiara worn by a mistress of Emperor Maximilian. There were two Emperors named Maximilian; one was the Holy Roman emperor, and the other was a former Emperor of Mexico. The church was constructed between 1930 and 1940. The Tower was more impressive than the church, but the tour group was allowed in, in case people wanted to stop and pray, as many were doing.

Mass was good, and there were confessions. There was a special event (I think they were celebrating a meeting from La Pastoral de la Salud) when we were there (the video is from the procession, that’s not what you will find daily!). We liked it, easy access, and good priests.

Absolutely gorgeous right off the beach we had fresh food and an absolutely gorgeous view. There was a lady walking on the beach that provided a service of braiding my daughters hair away from the table. I had an absolutely amazing margarita, heavy pour. Completely authentic margarita made from scratch with the exception of the tequila. The pico de gallo was fresh and amazing and then we ordered ceviche which was awesome flavorful, the perfect amount of spices and the seafood was perfect inside of it. My daughter and I ate absolutely all of it. It was nice because my son was able to play under the table with the sand once done eating. It wasn’t super hot although it was in March because of the breeze from the ocean. The service was just absolutely amazing they had a performance there, so it had perfect entertainment, my kids loved it. It probably was our favorite place to eat in Puerto Valarta just an overall great experience.

All dishes tasted amazing, some portions were smaller than expected. But others had plenty on them. Overall well balanced.

We got fresh snacks. Chips were crunchy. Guacamole was tasty and freshly made to order. Had a passion fruit margarita sooo delicious. Real passion fruit. Generous serving size of snack and drinks for great price. The view of the ocean was amazing and relaxing. We got luck and were able to see a traditional native performance, nothing scheduled.

This place was a complete rip off!! Do not go there!! We wanted a simple breakfast and ended up with a bill that had lobster added to our bill we never ordered!! They didn’t want to give us a copy of the bill until pushed. We also were approached by someone who seemed connected to the restaurant and tried to sell us on property, etc! Horrible experience!! DO NOT GO HERE!!

We were at Restaurant El Malecon the other night. They have a large selection of sauces at the table. And then they bring out chips with more sauces. After that we shared a guacamole. My wife then had the tortilla soup and shrimp tacos, while I had the mummy shrimp. Overall the food was good as was the service. The prices are certainly Malecon and beach side prices. There was a live duet playing music and singing and they were pretty good. But the main reason for eating here is the spectacular view as we watched the sunset over the ocean. In the end that is what you are paying for.

We had delay in some food order, but they didn’t charge us for that and we got this part for free. That’s a real client orientation. On the top of that - the seafood is fantastic and fresh, ocean view and the birds (pelicans?) are fantastic 🤩 Totally recommend this place.

As a member of 8 years, I was been sold on luxury and the promise of a theme park. I've yet to visit this incomplete theme park. It's still in construction. This resort is nice, and there is plenty of room to find a poolside spot or beach seat. The food is sub-par and way overpriced. It takes forever to get anywhere on this resort, and a taxi is 20 to 30 one way to town. The entertainment is sub-par as well. They host various nights at an area called Sanctuary that are quite boring. The sound system is outdated which also takes from the show. There were singers and dancers and it was cheesy and this one guy couldn't hit a note to save his life. Heard better kaeroke than this. We made reservations at their hibachi style dinner and it was way over priced, the food was so basic, and the cook does the same old jokes you get from a 3 star hibachi anywhere. The thing liked the most was room service. They came by and cleaned daily. Resort staff was nice. It's an older resort so there are many areas that need work. It rained alot and there was sheet rock falling off in some areas. Whatever you do dont do the member tour. It will eat up your whole day. The discounts they offer are not worth it. The wave pool and slide were closed half the time we were there. Also the lazy river was closed half the time as well.

A wonderful resort getaway with top notch amenities. Golf, relaxing, great food, and craft margaritas were part of the daily activities. The staff is warm and welcoming!

At High n Low tide, lots of beach to play on, waves are playful, just enough to boogie board surf and family oriented. Sunsets are truely magical. Just a chill beach.

Beautiful paradise. Nature walks on floating paths and amazing pools. Wonderful restaurants. It’s not an “all you can eat” resort but that’s why I go there. Every restaurant has its charm with fine dining. It is not for the middle class, but it IS for upper middle class and above. Super safe. Every single worker and guest goes through an airport security style check prior to fully entering the resort. They give you complimentary airport transportation so no worries there. It’s not a timeshare, but it is a vacation club. I have gladly invested three times; each time upgrading my rooms. I want to spend 4-6 weeks there during the deep freeze of my winter in the U.S. I love that I don’t have to take care of a house in FL for example. Because this is on the Riviera Maya and not in Cancun, you’re only 25 to 40 minutes from the wonderful ecological parks of the Riviera. You have to check this place out. As a cherry on top, Cirque de Soleil is on the property.

The property is rich in color and plant life. The pools are abundant and the collection of Restaurants, well its double digit. Perscisley 30. I've oboe experienced about 6 of the restaurant's. The food is tasty and priced well.

We “won” this Vidanta getaway at a charity auction — and I now believe the real charity would have been people warning us it might be cursed. From the over two-hour check-in (yes, over two hours), to the constant upselling disguised as “upgrading,” our stay was less “luxury vacation” and more “emotional endurance test with expensive snacks.” After being told our hotel selection was “sub-par” (how dare we want what we paid for), we were “upgraded” to a resort property so far away it may as well have required a connecting flight. The shuttles showed up about as often as solar eclipses, so we got to know the property well — mostly by foot. Guests everywhere looked like they were in various stages of regret, or near death. All we heard were complaints from everyone we met, too -- people mostly upset about the high-pressure sales that met us all at every turn. Even the staff, forced to greet you with their hand over their heart like hostages in a luxury-themed cult, couldn’t hide their despair. The food? Mediocre and mysteriously expensive. The gym? A charming 40-minute walk away — nothing says “wellness” like needing a cardio session just to get to your cardio session. Every “event” felt like a prank. Like the “sound healing” session that took place on a cramped bit of grass next to a busy sidewalk with constant construction noise, which I guess added a certain jackhammer chakra realignment vibe. Despite being located on what feels like several thousand acres, there was a rooster crowing 24/7 and a chorus of barking dogs to remind us that peace and quiet were sold separately. The crowning glory of this fever dream was the timeshare salesman who invited himself to breakfast with us and, upon hearing our polite “no” after hours of listening to him, ripped up his papers and had a full-blown tantrum. Nothing says “relaxation” like an adult man throwing a fit because you didn’t want to buy a lifetime of this misery. In summary: If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to spend a small fortune to feel trapped, manipulated, and serenaded by livestock — Vidanta is your place. Would not recommend. Would not return. Would not even wish upon my worst enemy (unless they enjoy construction noise and emotional manipulation).

Nice place to stay and enjoy the mix of luxury and nature. One fellow said "This is like a Jurassic Park resort". Night Par 3 Golf, nice restaurants. Vidanta should take care of the cleaning of the walking path "outside of the property along the Ameca River" Please instruct the children to use their sandals when going to the sea, the sand is always hot, seeing children cry because their feet burn is not pleasant. Better photos of the resort in other reviews.

Keep Mexico Beautiful. This was an amazing destination for anyone visiting the Puerto Vallarta area. It showcases the beauty of nature and what Mexico has to offer. The only way to access the island is swimming from a panga or water taxi about 25 yards. When on the island, explore the caves and be on the lookout for the protected blue footed boobie.

Just did the snorkel tour with Eco Tours! Rodrigo was great - very friendly & kept us all safe! Beautiful spot to see once in a lifetime. The swim to the cave is arduous and we had helmets on to protect from hitting our heads once in the cave. Had to hold our breath for 3secs to wait for the tide to go out then proceed to the beach. Plus we got to see humpbacks along our route to the islands!

I spent a day here and some lady looked like she was here for a lot of days camping! Might have a been a native cave women. Very nice and would recommend!

We took the tour by boat. Really enjoyed the snorkelling, try to stay close to your team and remember your boat. The trip included breakfast , lunch and drinks. We also took kayaking, the wave was strong so had difficulty to stay close the boat.

Unreal. This place is amazing, exclusive and with the new laws...well protected against ourselves to protect the wildlife. Tides, snorkeling and scenery are amazing. If you do go here, come with Vallarta Adventures!

It was breathtaking to see whales coming and going to the island .... yes you better be a good swimmer it's a challenge to get from your boat to the private beach...plus if your on a small boat bring your sunblock not much shade aboard...cool experience but not again.

Wonderful visit. We toured the islands and snorkeled with Ecotours Vallarta. Beautiful rock formations, bird watching and snorkeling with water life.

On my first eco tour with Vallarta Adventures, they ended off our jungle tour with a visit to Playa Sayulita, a colorful resort area with wide sandy beaches. Sadly to say, I think enjoyed my second tour better to the more remote area of Playa Clavellinas. This beach seemed made for tourists.

A beautiful beach with great introductory waves for beginner surfing-however the amount of vendors on the beach makes it really hard to relax. You’re constantly bombarded by vendors selling anything and everything and its an all day affair of saying “no gracias” as long as you dare to sit in your chair or lay on your towel for your much deserved vacation.

Fishing boats on the south end of the beach, chairs and parasols, and places where to eat or get a drink all the way to the north end. The golden sand was unexpectedly beautiful. The various sediments in the sand shifts from regular sand-coloured sand to black. As people walk, the beach retains footsteps for a while, even when the waves come in, because it is so shallow. The surface is sprinkled with golden Mica. It really looks like gold. On our first day, we quickly figured out where the safe swimming zone was (south) and where the ideal surfing zone was. You are safe close to the beach or beyond, but the surf zone can be hard to navigate if you are not a good swimmer or a local kid, who knows when to go with the flow. Just swim where people swim to remain safe and wear bright colours.

Beautiful beach, fun waves, reasonably priced cabanas, fantastic service/drinks/food and access to bathrooms and showers at Barracuda.

Playa Sayulita, the town’s main beach, is a picturesque stretch of sand that draws surfers, sunbathers, and people-watchers. While the beach itself is stunning, it can become quite crowded, particularly during the midday sun. The surf seems to be a major draw, as board rentals and lessons are conveniently available right on the beach. The town of Sayulita has a very relaxed, artsy feel. Colorful flags drape across cobblestone streets lined with boutique shops, cafes, taco stands, and art galleries. It’s very walkable, with everything within easy reach—restaurants, markets, beaches, and local attractions. Expect a mix of locals, surfers, expats, and tourists all sharing the same small space. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, some parts of Sayulita can feel a bit overrun by tourism. Prices in restaurants and shops can be higher than expected for a small town in Mexico. That said, there are still plenty of affordable street food options and local spots if you’re willing to explore a little further from the main square. Overall, Sayulita is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. We took a bus from Puerto Vallarta, which took about 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. The round-trip fare was approximately 150 pesos per person, making it an affordable and easy day trip.

Busy beach with many seaside restaurants and folks selling souvenirs. We enjoys a snack and drinks and watching surf for about about an hour. We enjoyed it, but that was about our max for saying know to the sellers. Good people watching, lots of activity. If you're looking for a relaxing beach, this isn't the one but it's lots of fun!

By far my favorite place in Mexico! I love the weather and food and the people are so friendly . Its not a big tourist place which is nice because you get to enjoy the scenery and just relax. The also have a place called stone island which is a great beach . They serve some of the freshest seafood dishes here as well.

It's about 6 miles long in total. Great place to walk, take in sites, restaurants, shopping. Fun place to chill with a 6 pack, take pics or go for jog. You can walk it or grab a taxi. Goodtimes.

It's long.... Very long. Don't walk it in the middle of the day. Mornings or evenings are great to walk it, but never the middle of the day as the sun is pouring down on you trying to make you into a dried up shrimp.

I’ve lived in Arizona for almost 20 years and this was my first visit. It’s a beautiful park and I can’t believe I waited so long. Many areas to see, so many that you probably won’t be able to see them all in a single visit. I definitely recommend walking the large loop trail through the canyon as that’s the most scenic area. The trails are all very well maintained and pretty easy to walk. If the weather is cool enough, just about anyone can handle them. I would plan on spending about three hours to see all of the best areas. If it were closer I would certainly consider getting an annual pass.

This is one of those must see places. It’s more like a nature hike than a straight botanical garden so bring good walking or hiking shoes and some water. Well behaved dogs are welcome too. Great views and some AZ history along the way. If you are lucky you might see some Coati’s who live on property.

My favorite botanical garden in the state! Its always such a pleasant experience and the grounds are immaculate. Become a member to save $$. There's a lot to see. Ive been many times and always find something new. Easy trails to hike and follow, nice facilities and gift shop. The park employees are always gracious and very helpful. Definitely worth the drive.

This was my first time here and I was so impressed I will be purchasing a yearly membership the next time I go, which hopefully will be soon. It's great for a half day hike, we only did a part of it and found so many interesting things. I posted pictures on Google earlier. Had an amazing day with my friends and I highly recommend visiting this place. They also have plants for sale and a reasonably priced gift shop!

We went to Boyce Thompson Arboretum over the weekend. It is located in Superior, Arizona which is about an hour away from us. We live in the East Valley. You can bring your dogs to explore with you. Reminder to bring your own poop bags, water and a secure leash. We enjoyed the hiking trails along with the gardens with different region themes such as South America, and a garden with plants that attract butterflies and humming birds. They offer shaded areas and seating through out which helped us take breaks and enjoy the views. It is truly an experience that provides many opportunities to stop and take in beautiful landscape and photos. We plan on coming back since there is more left to explore. The admission to enter is $24.95 for adults and youth (13-17) $10 for children (5-12), and free for members and children under 5 yrs old.

I am amazed that this arboretum has every facility and exhibit to connect with nature and fully enjoy the environment. It has beautiful views from the Ayer lake and the suspension bridge is beautifully designed. This was my second time and my children ages 5 and 8 were able to do the entire arboretum loop (given many rest stops and snack breaks) Make sure to pack snacks and a big water bottle. There are refilling stations along the way. We saw some adorable coatimundi hanging around Scavenger House this trip and were amazed how long they hung around! Highly recommend this place as a day trip from Phoenix. About 80 min drive from Scottsdale to the arboretum. There is also a great children’s garden activity area best for toddlers age.

This event was well worth the money! We had a great time! The paintings were fun and easy to complete. My husband and I enjoyed wine and a tasty charcuterie board of treats while painting. We are eager to attend the next “Paint and Sip” event. This made a great date night, but there were groups of friends and families attending and painting as well. Everyone left with smiles on their faces.

The Queen Creek Olive Mill put on the most beautiful baby shower for my daughter! From the first conversation to the day of the shower, Erika made the entire process effortless for us. The decor was whimsical just like my daughter wanted and the food was outstanding. Everyone that attended commented on how fantastic this venue was. The Queen Creek Olive Mill went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend having your event with them.

Why am I just learning about the Queen Creek Olive Mill?! This place was such a cool experience! I went there just to check out what they had to offer, and I was so pleasantly surprised to see they served food and had a nice little nook aesthetic going on. I had unfortunately already eaten before I arrived, so I didn't get the chance to indulge in their food, but their menu options looked great, and I'm genuinely eager to go back soon just to try them out! The whole atmosphere was fantastic, and to me it felt like a wonderland. Please don't be like me and think that just because it says "Olive Mill," that's all they've got - not at all, they are serving up so much more! Not only do they have just about every type of olive oil, flavored and non-flavored, you could think of, but they even had a section where you could shop for alcohol, and I forgot to mention for my coffee lovers, there's a coffee stand! Beyond the dining area and incredible variety of products, I believe there's more to the property than what meets the eye, you can probably do some exploring around there as well. This place is definitely a unique and delightful destination. If you're looking for something a bit different but with a lovely setting, definitely check out Queen Creek Olive Mill. Locally very popular, offering a great selection of olive oils and olive products with abundant samples for tasting. An eclectic menu and reasonable prices draw large crowds at dinner time, so arrive early. While the line was long, counter service was quick and our order was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything was delicious, including the panko encrusted fish, pizza, pesto, and pulled pork. It's easy to see why the Olive Mill is a favorite.

Beautiful grounds for a day trip from Phoenix area. The store has many oils, vinegars, tapenades, wines, jams, kitchen supplies, and spa items. They even have a refrigerated meal area to take their foods to go! We took the tour ($8 in 2025). It was a nice introduction to the history of The Olive Mill and the oil making process. After the tour they offer several food and dessert options. This will be perfect when the weather cools and you can take advantage of the outside fireplace seating. Would make a perfect wedding location if they offer that service.

Erika and her team were amazing at me and my husbands marriage ceremony and reception. They made sure everyone ate and offered to serve me and my husband food. They were super nice and respectful. If we could have another marriage there we would do it all over again here. Affordable and you can decorate it however you want! Thankyou guys for making the night so special for us :).

Very quick tour of olive mill area. Nice lunch and olive oil shopping. My spouse said, I enjoyed the visit. Glad they had shipping to the house.

Beautiful place to go with your family! The scenery is top notch and the weather is nice and sunny. This is also like a museum considering the fact that there are old parts of the scenery from thousands of years old. The wildlife is vast and there is a couple of birds of prey here. Totally recommend all day! P.S: Keep an eye out on the rams in on the cliff side!

Very pleasant dinner cruise. Staff friendly and helpful. Great scenery, good music. Dinner was better than average (bbq ribs AND chicken - large portions. The 16 mile drive to and from Hwy 60 in the dark was a little hairy. Allow lots of time to go slow.

This cruise had unbelievably gorgeous views with great narration by the captain. We saw the Canyon Lake area including much desert scenery and stupendous mountain views! We even lucked out and saw a bald eagle on her nest and a group of Bighorn sheep! 10 out of 10 stars. A must see!

April 5th 2025 Being an Az native, I’m sad to say I didn’t know this entertainment existed. I learned about the “sunset dinner cruise”from my mom who is actually friends with “Dolly” the original owner. The new owners kept the name and Dolly is still representing the company with enthusiasm. My wife and I did the sunset dinner cruise and boy did it not disappoint! Captain Ron was fun, knowledgeable about the lake and its history, the staff on board were attentive and hustled in our meal distribution. The food was excellent! The sites were amazing and stunning. We saw a lot of big horn sheep on the cliff face and witnessed up close 3 blue herons flying low across the water. For the price this was a fantastic way to spend the evening with my wife.

We had been staying in Apache Junction for the winter and decided to take the Dolly Steamboat cruise on Canyon Lake. The regular cruise is 90 minutes long and takes you around the lake and back. The canyons are impressive and beautiful. I understand you sometimes get to see sheep, but we had no luck on this outing.

I had a great time on this short afternoon cruise. You get to see beautiful views along the way as you listen to the history of the place.

Just had the most epic adventure on the Dolly Steamboat at Canyon Lake! 🚢🏞️ Our crew (Melissa, Jo, Gary, and I) embarked on an incredible 1.5-hour scenic cruise that was totally worth the scenic drive from Gilbert. Pro tip: The mountain roads are totally paved and gorgeous - don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Check-in was a breeze, but fair warning: marina bathrooms are… let’s just say “rustic”. Definitely snag those reservations ahead of time! We dressed comfortably in flannels and jeans, which was perfect for the slightly breezy day. Wildlife spotting was UNREAL - we saw adorable baby bighorn sheep and majestic eagles soaring overhead. Nature’s entertainment at its finest! 🐏🦅 Quick traveler notes: • Cash is king (though they do have a $20 minimum for credit card purchases) • Bring some snacks and drinks • Plan to grab lunch in Apache Junction or Tortilla Flats afterward Totally recommend this hidden Arizona gem for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy some breathtaking scenery! Can’t wait to go back

Tourist trap. The staff was friendly. The building didn't feel authentic. I bought the combo tickets - mine tour, mystery shack and train ride. Mine tour was informative, interesting but short. The mystery shack does not allow you to carry babies in and when I bought combo tickets at mining tour booth they failed to tell me that even though I made sure to ask questions about having a baby. Train was was neat ride and the conductor had great stories! I'm a sucker for gift shops but didn't buy anything because it felt too over priced. Bathrooms were clean. Overall worth checking out at least once.

It was a very cute town. They have fun people on the train ride and mine tours with lots of interesting facts. We ate at the Saloon and they had live music. Lots of gift shops! Free to get into Ghost town and wander but $10.00 and up for everything else. We had a great time. Beautiful view of the Superstition Mtn.

Cool old west town with great desert mountain views. Had a chicken sandwich and delicious Sasparilla for lunch in the Saloon. Bought a die cast cap gun revolver for my son in the toy store. Die cast metal. Good quality.

After watching this mining town on ghost adventures and tfil overnight Elton it was awesome to check it out in person. The tour guides were awesome in listening to people and their experiences. Actually using an EMF detector and letting us have moments in silence to interact with any entity. *Only issue is there should maybe be a age limit for the night tour because there were a few children that would keep interrupting silence moments or just talking and didn't want to be in the dark which was a little disruptive. The town looks like it would be fun to check out in the day time

This place was so cool. Had a blast with my family. Handmade crafts. Stories and fun shoot outs in the street. Lots to do.

We had a fun day at Goldfield Ghost Town and Mine. We toured the mine to see how gold was mined by hand. We saw a wild west shootout. We rode the train around town. And we walked through a mystery house. We really enjoyed it.

A fun place to bring friends from out of state. Shops, train ride, gold panning, gift shop and more. Great for photo opportunities.
