Small but really lovely museum in a walking distance of the center of Metepec .. worth visiting.. It’s well organized and there pretty awesome arts there especially the top floor where there is a lot of pottery/mud and it’s almost grantees that you will enjoy it It’s free entry and pretty clean as well as has a small shop if you are interested to buy pottery arts (some of them are amazing but justifiably a bit expensive) So if you are visiting the city, it’s a nice place to add it to your list

Second story is particularly beautiful -- the miniature Barro figures are so compelling! The store could be better, and the temporary exhibits are a mixed bag. But well worth the visit.

Parque Ecológico Zacango

Zoo
Outdoor Activities
Zoo featuring animal exhibits from birds to tigers, plus restaurants, a boating lake & a playground.
Amazing zoo with a bunch of different species of animals. Plus, the animals are always being taken care of and they seem really healthy. The place is always clean and safe for kids. Also, The food is good and they have a lot of variety on their menu. It's really cool that every single animal habitat is connected to each other, so it's really easy to reach each different species. Additionally, the independent buildings that charge you to come in are cheap, the only one that is not that worth it, is the "aquarium" because it only has infographics and not animals. Finally, the service is always efficient and all the sellers and employees are knowledgeable and kind.
Bryan G — Google review
A remarkable zoo. We visit a zoo when ever we can in a new city and this one has topped all the others we have seen to date. The animal activity is healthy and fun. The zoo is large and clean. We enjoyed the aquarium exhibit with the video footage showing animals in their true habitat instead of a glass water bowl. The elephants and rhinos were active and fun, the camel also. We almost witnessed the birth of a Buffalo cow but they said the process could take 14 hours.. but we saw the labor and the start. The savanna was large and the animals seemed very content. Definitely a worthwhile day. Very enjoyable and a beautiful park
Corinne G — Google review
Is, so amazing The zoo is a great place to go out with your family or friends
Joshua G — Google review
Great first time there with my big family. Great environment, the way some animals are housed together just seems more natural compared to zoos with every animal seperated.

Christopher L — Google review
Went with my in laws, husband, and daughter. It is a beautiful zoo! Even has a very nice park for little ones to burn off energy and the cotton candy is huge!
ANP — Google review
It's a very nice place to spend the day. Entrance and parking are cheap. You can get plenty of stuff inside the zoo, and prices are reasonable from $20 to $70. Everything is around $30 per person. Except "tirolesa" and boats the lake that are $70 and $80. There is plenty to eat, and some places take credit and debit cards.
Manuel C — Google review
Is a cool zoo to visit. I witness how the person checking the tickets at the entrance asked a family to go for a refund as their son with a disability shouldn't have paid a ticket at they go in for free. Anyone else would have kept silent as many do. We had a fun day. The only negative was that there were many exhibits closed or missing animals and/or their corresponding explanation sheet displayed.

Cascada Velo de Novia is a stunning multi-tiered waterfall located in a lush, forested park in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. Despite the area not being known as the safest in Mexico, Valle de Bravo is actually quite safe for visitors. The town's vibrant colors and cobblestone streets add to its unique charm. Visitors can take a moderately easy hike or opt for a four-wheeler tour followed by a 15-minute walk to reach the beautiful waterfall.
I visited this waterfall as part of the “Tranvia Chu Chu” tour. The tour shows you this place and the “Piedra de Molino” waterfall. I loved it! I had enough time to take-in the beauty of the scenery and to take pictures as well! The 2 waterfalls are a must when staying in Valle de Bravo!
Mika — Google review
Beautiful waterfall with essentially no restriction on how close you can get other than your own common sense. Lots of vendors along the way, beginning with restaurants by the parking area, simple cabana type bars along part of the trail, then souvenir and clothing stalls. Two little girls came up to us and asked if we wanted to hear the story of the waterfall. We couldn't help but say yes. You'll have to go yourself and hear the legend, and don't forget to give those kids a few pesos for the story. It looked like you could also ride horses down the trail. Be prepared for rain and go carefully on the trail when wet.
Alex — Google review
It’s a good view! Enjoyed it with my friends
Amy C — Google review
Beautiful place to vist. The last part of the trail is rugged and a little bit challenging to climb up and down. The Waterfall arr magnificent and if one wants you can get right under the falling water. At the moment it's free
Hector J — Google review
If you are a hiker Thais place offers some interesting trails once you reach the lake, cross over the creek and you will discover a beautiful path with great views over the lake
Guenther ( — Google review
Excellent trekking forest and natural reserve/park, the sights are gorgeous if you're the nature loving kind, you can trail down to the bottom of the falls and come as close as you like. There are decks from where you can see the falls if you don't feel like going down the rustic trail to the foot of the falls and picnic in the designated area. It's a good adventure and a good trip to take, just wear comfy shoes and clothing, fit for the walk to and from this magnificent place, definitely recommend it. Although it has areas that are a bit archaic, it's a beautiful place to visit, nothing fancy but surely beautiful falls.
Hector V — Google review
Great hike. We took a four wheeler tour to this town and then hiked 15 minutes down to see the beautiful waterfall. The hike itself was moderately easy, there’s a bridge and then dirt road. Wearing walking shoes is recommended. When you get to the bottom there are plenty of rocks to climb to take a moment to yourself and breathe in the water as well as listen to it. A great way to spend your afternoon!
Nikki A — Google review
It's a nice place to go and enjoy a cool falls, isn't that big lbut it worth go all the way down by Walk to get some cool pictures. When you go back up to the parking lot, be ready for the irregular stairs and some bumps on the walk way. You can grab some souvenirs at the stores on the top, remember to bring good shoes for the long way walking.

Nevado de Toluca – A Stunning Hiking Destination Nevado de Toluca is an incredible spot for hiking and exploring, offering breathtaking views and a unique experience. Here are some tips to make the most of your visit: Preparation Tips 1. Travel with a Local: If possible, go with someone from Mexico who knows the area and is trustworthy. It’s not dangerous, but it’s always better to have a guide. 2. Stop for Breakfast: Before heading up, visit one of the small restaurants along the way for a hearty breakfast, a drink, and a bathroom break. There are no facilities once you’re at the site. Getting There • Pickup Trucks: The journey to the summit is an adventure itself. You’ll likely ride in the back of a pickup truck, which is a fun and unique experience. In Mexico, it’s allowed, unlike in many other countries. • Pricing: If you’re with a local, you’re less likely to be overcharged for transportation. Tourists can sometimes face higher prices. Hiking and Exploration • Save Your Energy: Avoid hiking from the base to the summit, as there’s plenty of walking to do once you’re there. Opt for the truck ride instead. • Timing: Visit early in the morning to avoid harsh sunlight and crowds. Weekdays are best, as weekends can get busy with locals. What to Expect • Weather: While it’s cold due to the snow, the sun can be intense, so dress in layers and wear sunscreen. • Local Vendors: Check out the vendors when you return for snacks or souvenirs. Take your time to soak in the beauty of the landscape, enjoy the fresh air, and get lost in the tranquility of Nevado de Toluca. It’s an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful hike! Nice climb with beautiful views. Very rocket so be careful on the way down.
Sha — Google review
If you have small children I don't recommend you trying to go up. The air is thin. 25 pesos per child and 50 pesos for adults. Try to go to the restroom before heading out. If you go all the way down to the lagoons I recommend you take an empty water bottle,if you want to take crystal clear water with you. I found out you can get fined if you take the flowers growing along the path. Make sure to read the rules. Make sure to get good shoes for the hike .
Veronica L — Google review
MUST VISIT PLACE. This is worth visiting when you visit Mexico City. No entrance fee. No restrictions on drone flights. Walking up towards the top of the volcano is one of the life time experience.
Brian P — Google review
Sure! Here's a well-worded review based on your input: --- This is by far one of my favorite places to visit! However, I wouldn’t recommend going at the beginning of the year, as it tends to be crowded with tourists. The best time to visit is during the week when it’s less busy and also more affordable. In the past, this spot was much calmer, with only locals selling food. Now, it’s always bustling, and vendors even sell items like gloves and other gear. A few important recommendations for your visit: Wear thermal or comfortable clothing, sturdy boots or shoes with good grip, and bring trekking poles to help with the ascent. Also, have a light breakfast beforehand for better endurance. Lastly, please respect this beautiful place by keeping it clean. Let’s all do our part to preserve it!
Alep Z — Google review
Hiked Nevado de Toluca with a Guided group. The route had a bit of a scramble at the end, and hit some of us with altitude sickness. However, it’s an incredible day hike with beautiful views all throughout. There is parking available at the trailhead, as well as a washroom.

Archaeological Zone Tepozteco

Archaeological site

Mountains
The Archaeological Zone Tepozteco features the ruins of a small Aztec temple dedicated to Tepoztecatl, the god of harvest, fertility, and pulque. The 10m-high pyramid is perched atop a sheer cliff at the end of a steep paved path. While not as large as other pyramids in Mexico, its location offers breathtaking panoramic views of the valley.
Tip: the iron fence and last part of this amazing hike closes every day at 16:00. The entrance, if you want to see the pyramid and the part with the most beautiful view costs 100 pesos and is free for children and elderly (60+). On Sunday it's free for all Mexicans. There is a huge difference in amount of people between weekends and weekdays, both experiences are worth it. If you like a lot of people, with music, high heels, alcohol and atmosphere, weekends are really cool! If you like the "nature" and chill vibe more, please consider a week day experience; you are welcome;)!
MUSEUM H — Google review
If you can go as early as possible (opening time is 9), it will be quiet and peaceful. It'll be so early that the markets at the beginning of the route won't be open yet. The hike up is challenging so you do need a basic level of fitness but it is so worth it. The pyramid is small but don't let that put you off. It's a piece of history which is preserved and tells us more about this world and for only 100 pesos entry, it's well looked after. The most beautiful part of this is the view that you are rewarded after your hike. Highlight of my time here.
Claire W — Google review
I had been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to write this review once I had the chance. Perhaps I wasn’t paying close enough attention, but it seemed like nowhere was it mentioned that the path to this archaeological site takes approximately two hours if you’re not particularly fit. It’s genuine rough terrain—true hiking. According to my data, to reach the summit where the pyramid is located, you need to ascend about 400 meters vertically, which is roughly equivalent to climbing a 130-story building on foot. So, please keep this in mind, and most importantly, it seems that, judging by the number of people there—including small children being carried and elderly individuals—very few are actually aware of what lies ahead. Well, now you know. As for the archaeological site itself, to be honest, it’s probably not worth the climb, at least not more than once. There are a lot of people, and the charm of a secluded mountaintop spot dissipates. However, the pyramid stands right on the edge of a cliff, and behind it is a steep drop, reminiscent of the scene in the movie “From Dusk Till Dawn,” where the bar is revealed to be an ancient temple, and vampires would toss bodies and cars down below. This could have served as a prototype for that scene in the film. You can climb onto the pyramid, by the way, but the archaeological zone itself isn’t all that impressive. I must say, the ascent was quite a surprise, and don’t forget that you also have to descend, which isn’t exactly easy either. Oh, and at the end, they’ll charge you 100 pesos for visiting the area, of course. Overall, it’s pretty cool; everyone takes photos and is happy they made it. Those still climbing can be encouraged as you descend. So, it’s alright.
Alex K — Google review
Really nice place! 90% of the hike has stairs, so as long as you have average condition, you should be able to safely hike this hill. I get why, but asking you to pay $100 mxn to see something you are already seeing (the pyramid-like construction) felt like it was not worth it (not complaining about the price, it is fair)
Arturo M — Google review
A beautiful place to visit the egg is very pleasant and the view from the top is stunning. I would recommend anyone to go there, the hike is a bit tough but it’s worth it. Take good shoes and water
Baptiste D — Google review
Beautiful hiking! The path to the pyramid is very demanding but the view from there is amazing. The site is not well maintained, there is no bathroom and a lot of trash. To access the site you need to pay MXN 100 and it only accept cash.
Junior C — Google review
The hike is strenuous, prepare in advance. Takes 3-4 hours to complete the whole trek. You will gain almost 2000 feet (600 meters) while going up. The trek is 1.4 miles (2 kms) one way. Keep 100 pesos per person, they take the entrance ticket just before the pyramid. Overall its a very nice hike with beautiful view at the top.
AMIYA D — Google review
Entry to the pyramid (and the beautiful view) closes at 3pm/15:00, but there are no signs to indicate that until you’ve gone all the way up. Bummer! It’s a beautiful hike otherwise, and you’ll get a good workout.

Ancient Ruins
Zona Arqueológica Teopanzolco is a fascinating archaeological site located about 40 miles from Mexico City, showcasing the remnants of a 13th-century settlement. This impressive location features several ruined temples built on a sloping stone platform, reflecting the Aztecs' reverence for their ancestors and their architectural prowess. Although much of the original structure has suffered damage over time—especially after Spanish colonization—the site still offers an intriguing glimpse into history.
Nice place. Small but pretty. The cost of the ticket was 100$ Mexican pesos (5 Dollars). On Sundays it’s free. Were a hat for the sun and you can bring water or food.
Marycruz C — Google review
Lovely little site in the middle of Cuernavaca. No longer can enter the pyramid after 2017 earthquake damaged the structure. Still loads of very useful information around the site. Very good price to see something created so long ago, also has toilets on site and the staff were very welcoming. Signs need slightly updating as the sun has worn them down slightly.

A wonderful place inside Cuernavaca , right next to the new concert hall truly captivating, a similar two temple at the top pyramid structure dedicated to war and water , Cuernavaca had a wonderful prehispanic past and several houses still have hidden treasures and secrets hidden throughout the city Come visit
Meizter P — Google review
The place although very small compared to other ancient archeological sites is quite interesting and well kept. The information on the signs is enriching
Manuel P — Google review
Not the most elaborate of archaeological sites. We weren't able to walk to the top of the largest platform. The site is still interesting enough to capture your imagination
Joel — Google review
This place is very beautiful to witness the prehispanic architecture design and informational guide explaining what they were used for. It provides 3 languages: Spanish, English, and Nahuatl writings to captivate the audiences attention. It's not a big park but not small, just enough to tour around the area. When I went there, the main temple, in the center and supposed to represent the templo Mayor (Main temple) in Tenochtitlan (Mexico city now), was off limits to go up. Probably due to the weather and human that greatly affected the pyramid, but still can go on other smaller ones.
David S — Google review
Nice area to stroll around when the weather is nice. Due to an earthquake, you're not allowed to climb or entire the main pyramid.

The Zona Arqueológica de Malinalco is a captivating archaeological site that showcases six ceremonial Aztec structures dating back to the 15th century, including an impressive pyramidal temple. Nestled in the picturesque town of Malinalco, which features eight charming neighborhoods each adorned with historic chapels from the 16th to 18th centuries, this destination offers a rich tapestry of history and culture.
Pro tip: bring comfortable footwear and a water source, you'll be climbing 400+ feet of steps (totally worth it at the top). There's a small snack shop just in case you forgot your water.
Manuel M — Google review
Wow, what a breathtakingly beautiful site. I could have spent all day wandering around the mountain top or just looking out at the landscape. The gorgeous town of Malinalco nestled below. The jacarandas in full bloom added a splash of purple that made my visit magical. It is definitely worth a day trip down from México City to visit. If I had more time I would look into staying in Malinalco for a few days. Stunning!
Nick S — Google review
Long hike up and the temple was closed but the views were excellent and the interpretation was very good.

Easy 20 minutes walk up to the reasonably well preserved archeological site at a moderate steady pace. Well laid out stone steps throughout. Great views of the town below and the mountains around from the top. Information placards laid out throughout the route and at the top describe the history of the place very well. Entry costs 65 peso per adult, children go free and students get a discount. Open from 9 am.

Despite its small size, the museum provides comprehensive insights into the local people and their ancient traditions. Visitors praise the dedicated staff who offer detailed explanations even without a guided tour.

Beautiful! Sadly during the earthquake it got a hit and now they are renovating it, but what we saw was really beautiful, lots of history and culture and beautiful story!

Very pretty and heavily European influenced Catholic monastery. I was surprised at how quiet it was within the convent walls. There was a festival going on right outside on the streets and it only made the slightest whisper once inside. Even though outside it was a jubilant roar. I wonder what services are like here, unfortunately I did not have enough time in town to stay for a mass. Very pretty grounds to wander through though.

A hidden place in Mexican country side, full of ancient history from the XVI century (1546) when Agustinos order came Mexico and decided to stablish in this magical place to convert indigenous people to Catholicism, here was under construction by the Spanish arrival one of the most important and unique Aztec temples and stopped suddenly with the Aztec empire defeat giving place to this colonial masterpiece of religious art. The main church unfortunately is closed because of the 2017 earthquake and is under reconstruction but you can have some of his magic at the side area.

I study and visit many exconventos in Mexico. As a Western tourist it would be nice to be greeted with information to match our interest. There was zero information. When I wanted to see the second floor frescoes I was told no and shown the door out. Worth seeing, but you will not see the entire exconventos or the church.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Oaxtepec

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Amusement park
Another hit from the Six Flags Family, 100% family orientated, plenty of green and palm trees, lots of launch chairs all over the park, some are free to use, and some other to be rented. Wide variety of rides, either on your own or in groups of four. They are few restaurants around the park and some snack places too. You can buy your tickets on arrival, however, if you buy them via internet, they are considerably cheaper, and even better price from Monday to Thursday. We have an amazing time with our family, everyone were very attentive, and it wasn't busy at all, we probably have to wait to get on a ride top 8 minutes. Highly recommended, not far from Mexico city, very happy and definitely will come back to make more memories and have a blast.
ELENA B — Google review
We were invited to the birthday there. The children and the parents had so much fun. The place is huge and the cabins are comfortable and beautiful. They even sell healthy snacks not just fastfood
Oxanna D — Google review
This place was wonderful, I had a great adventure here, I’ll definitely come back here next time
Katie L — Google review
Nice and big place, a lot to do. I went on a Saturday during vacations and it wasn't as crowded as I'd expected, except for the Tornado where I did a 2h line (after that one all of the other ones seemed very short, 10 to 30min). Some details: 1. Considering it opened like 2 months ago, there are many things that already look worn out, like the bottom of the lazy river. 2. There weren't enough chairs to seat and we saw people from Six Flags bringing in new ones, which made me think they may still have many things to finish up in the park, and since it was a tender they HAD to open before a certain date. 3. They were letting people with tubes go in the wave pool.. not very nice for those of us who wanted to swim and where being surrounded by many tubes. I hope in a few months it'll be better and not worse. Anyway... If I lived nearby, I'd definitely go often, being content with the wave pool, lazy river and some slides.

A great water park for family fun
Berris S — Google review
We got there around 1:30 pm so we didn't get to do a whole lot but we still had a great afternoon. In the "lazy river" before anyone gets on a donut shaped raft, they sanitize them. I liked that. The park was very clean and well organized especially with the pandemic. Today was the first time my son and daughter, the youngest of my kids got to experience a Waterpark. Thank you for a great afternoon. This memory will last a lifetime. I recommend coming to this park when you visit Mexico City.
Felicia G — Google review
Well... in Mexico I would expect such place to be a less expensive. Prices for food and beverages - wow! And also I expected a bit more - comparing to European aquaparks, this one is maybe bigger (in terms of ground) but in terms of slides and other attractions -- is not as good as others. Generally rather good place to spend day or even weekend, but be prepared to have to pay a lot for everythings. Business it's business.

Museo Regional de los Pueblos de Morelos

Museum
Architectural Buildings
The Museo Regional de los Pueblos de Morelos, located in the former residence of a famous conquistador, is now a history museum featuring pre-Hispanic art and Diego Rivera's murals. The museum showcases carved stone animals with explanations of their significance in pre-Hispanic culture, although all information is available only in Spanish.
A really nice museum with rooms devoted to different exhibits like prehispanic history with an obsidian spearhead and Olmec pieces, fossils, biodiversity and a wonderful Diego Rivera mural on the second floor. There are also nice benches and open air views of the city. If you primarily speak English, be sure to use the QR codes posted on a wall in each room for English translations of the descriptive text.
Lance H — Google review
The building itself is impressive even from a distance. It’s clear that Hernán Cortés wasn’t exactly a likable man—he had to fortify himself well. At the entrance, you'll find statues, but don’t expect to see Cortés among them. If you’ve spent even a little time in Mexico, you’ll know he’s not exactly a national hero here. Now, about the museum. The most important thing to note—there’s absolutely nothing from Cortés inside. Not a single artifact, not even a rusty colonial-era nail. Instead, the exhibition features a lot of small sculptures found in Morelos, along with an oddly large collection of so-called contemporary art. Judging by the exhibit titles, the idea was to merge indigenous art with modern vision—but it didn’t really work. The indigenous figurines and even a stone safe for valuables are interesting, but the contemporary pieces? Not at all. Some rooms still have murals from the early 20th century. Technically modern, but nearly a hundred years old by now. I noticed that some visitors found them engaging, but personally, I didn’t see much artistic value in them. The museum also has murals by Diego Rivera, but during my visit, they were under restoration and inaccessible. The best part of the visit? The balcony, which offers a great view of downtown Cuernavaca. Entrance costs 100 pesos, which feels a bit pricey for just five rooms and a couple of balconies. At least you can pay by card—that’s a plus.
Alex K — Google review
Everything is in Spanish. Normally I leave reviews in English but I want to make this clear to English speakers. It's worth a 5 star visit FOR THE MURAL ALONE. But just be aware that to fully enjoy the museum you'll need to read Spanish at a high level or use an optical translator. On the other hand, the crafts and artifacts are interesting to look at without Spanish. You can do the museum in about 30 minutes if you're not reading.
J C — Google review
Though well laid out,the museum was sparse of displays. Still enjoyed the walk through
Joel — Google review
Really interesting experience! A lot of interesting signs but make sure you have a translate app as all in Spanish. Very reasonable price and nice staff!

Garden
Nature & Parks
Centro Cultural Jardín Borda, located in downtown Cuernavaca, is a historic garden built in 1783 by Don Manuel de la Borda. Over the years, it has served various purposes such as a summer house, hotel, restaurant, and now a botanic garden overseen by the Department of Culture of the State of Morelos. The garden is adorned with ornamental plants, water features, and offers a serene environment for relaxation and exploration.
Excellent Botanical Garden. Most of the fountains were operational. The large one at the lower end was very nice. We even saw one possum
Joel — Google review
Entrance was free on Sunday when I visited. Google said it opened at 10 am, but they opened at 10:30. There are several fountains, but only 2 are in operation. there is a mix of shade and sunny areas. Bathrooms are at the entrance and so is the art display. My favorite was "el carnaval de la carne." Overall, it is a nice place to walk, take pictures or hide from the sun. With proper garden grooming, more plant variety and lake cleaning, this could be a paradise. There is a parking across the street $16pesos/hr. Church, arts and crafts vendors and restaurants surround the garden center. I would like to come back in a rainy season to see how the garden trives when water is abundant.
Gloria ( — Google review
Nice place but unfortunately not well maintained.

Nice place to go for a walk. Unfortunately, the fountains weren't on. I was told that there used to be events held here to pay for upkeep so now the fountains are only on during the rainy season. At the time of my visit, there was an art exhibit for feminism and I saw some of the artworks as very unusual.

Beautiful garden even during dry season. There were interesting art exhibitions. Entrance was reasonable and free during Semana Santa. Bathrooms were clean. Great place to wander on a hot day as there is plenty of shade. The store attached was very good too.

The Robert Brady Museum, located in Cuernavaca, Mexico, is a captivating cultural venue housed in a historic structure known as The House of the Tower. This museum showcases the eclectic collection of American artist and collector Robert Brady, who fell in love with Cuernavaca and decided to make it his home. The museum features over 1400 pieces from Mexico and around the world, meticulously arranged alongside Brady's own creations.
Very interesting place. Full of wonderful artefacts from all over the world. If you are in Cuernavaca it’s a great place to go, very cheap, and there’s a cafe on site as well.

The Mineral water is excellent for the skin. So far the place has been safe and nice. Prices are entry 3 USD and 5 for the private water massage Roman private baths. Very nice natural place.

Decent tourist attraction to visit. They charge 65 pesos (~$3.25 USD) per person to enter over 1.2 meters in height ( basically over 8 yrs). Place is runned down but it's a local Hotspot. They have small cafes inside or you can bring your own food. They have lockers and showers to rinse off.

A beautiful place that I've been visited since I was a little boy and sadly looks like the management hasn't updated it at all, the place looks neglected, very sad, I still like it a lot, please take care of it.

These old buildings are not cleaned regularly and don't get any maintenance. Everything inside is extra, like the table, chairs, and changing room. It's not that green, more like alsfalt than grass.
Guillermo G — Google review
Great place to relax. Unfortunately, they do not have the same water pressure as before the 2017 earthquake. Still a great place to make memories. Aggressive swimwear vendors in front by ticket booth slightly damage the experience. The ice cream lady that is sometimes in front by the exit is the greatest however.

The place is gorgeous the water highly healthy the nature amazing, employees are very kind and nice guys. The facilities are absolutely neglected showers and toilets are completely disastrous.
Alfred B — Google review
The park is spacious, the pools are clean and there are a couple for all ages. However, since the last earthquake, the natural spring is just dropplets.

Simple and familiar, not an adventure water park. You can swim in the pool, bathe in sulfuric waters or chill in one of the green areas. Under reservation there are jacuzzis, dry and wet saunas and massages, and they aren't pricey. If you want to eat inside, there are small cafes and dinners, and they aren't expensive, but you can also BYO. Boost is sold inside, you can't bring it from outside.

Amazing place! Love it love it love it! So huge,so comfy but at the same time full of people. It's so sweet from administration to allow people to bring their food! It's so cute when families are getting together, making BBQs and swimming. It's a comfy, family place. You can even make yourself healthy in there!! By swimming on those hot springs!! Amazing place!

We went to the hot water pools. It was very relaxing and the free mud was amazing for the skin. The only little thing I didn't like was that they don't have a real restaurant. They just sell super expensive beverages, fruits and sandwiches. I think it's necessary some good food after being in such tiring water.

We went with our nanny’s family. Her father grew up in this area and had visited this hot springs/water park as a kid. It started in 1939 as a indoor natural hot springs and since expanded to a very large water park. Some really intense water rides and fun rides for the kids.

A terrific family time at a great price. If you go during the week, they don't lay on all the rides, but you only pay half the price you would with them all open. Our kids had a blast, except the one who was less than 130cm tall, and couldn't go on some of them. Price was about £5.50 for an adult. Bargain. Pretty good state of repair for the place, free parking outside, lockers if you need them. Train takes you around the site so you can jump on and off where you need.

Skydive México - Paracaidismo Tequesquitengo

Skydiving
The dive was amazing... my guide speaks English and he made the instructions very clear. I opted for 3rd person camera which cost 1350 pesos, worth it.. the diving video is of 90 sec long... But there were few more videos where they captured the flight take off, me preparing for the ride, how I felt before and after the dive... Our flight took 6 clients (us) and 8(crew) members... Take off and watching your friends jump were the frightening things... Once you jump it's just the adrenaline rush on seeing the amazing view and the spins were awesome (free fall spin - first 6sec, initial mini parachute spin, you being horizontal to the earth trying to float - next 45sec, finally the last spins with the parachute, you being vertical controling the parachute to have a perfect landing)…... Try to take a slot which is afternoon or late morning.. the brighter the sky the better... Also the place offers food and drinks.. they are affordable and the service is quick...

I had done Sky Diving on 6th August, 2025. I had already bought premium package for a very great amount. The only dicy thing was that there was a girl who was clicking pictures at landing. It was very strange that when we came that girl neither bothered to show the pictures nor sold it to us. She had already left the venue in few moments At the starting the people who did it had option to see it and then buy it. When I tried connecting on the number mentioned they were quite reluctant to show the pics and instead expecting to buy it . Isn't there responsibility to make sure if you had clicked pics to ask what's need to be done . This behaviour happened just with me is it because I am not of this country or you do it with everyone that's the question. Premium package does not include landing pics that's fine but what options are given to everyone should be given to me

I enjoy flying with these folks. Very clean and organized. Good food available on site in their cafe. Always puntual with their service times for sky diving. My last few jumps were with Kike and I highly recommend asking for him. Of all the different places I’ve chosen to sky dive this is the best!!!

This place is good for the experience but in our case were wait for hours for plane and after jump. Once time in the earth, we were wait for more hours by the videos and photos for that pass to the cel and the usb. The experience is incredible but the attention is a little bad.
ANGEL M — Google review
I would improve a little bit their logistics but the fact that I am back after skydiving with them makes all the things before that to be forgotten. The experience is incredible, I was a little afraid to do the jump but my instructor calm me and handled all the jump smoothly. Definitely an experience you should have at least once in your lifetime. Get there with at least half an hour before your appointment and be metalized to be at least 3 hrs more after you get scheduled for the jump. There are only beers, soft drinks, food and snacks for sale, so if you are looking for other drinks just be prepared yourself.

Skydive Mexico is one of the best and literally the cheapest sky dive experience in the world. Its located at Emiliano Zapata 19, 62680 San José Vista Hermosa, Mor., Mexico and is 2 hours drive from Mexico city on the Acapulco road. The drive is smooth and depending upon the crowd you can complete everything in 3 hours. The divers are extremely experienced, very well behaved and fun to be with in the overall experience. Don't miss this if you are in Mexico. The place also offers souvenirs and light munches. Overall a memorable place.

Parque Nacional Grutas de Cacahuamilpa

National park
Nature & Parks
This park offers tours of its gardens & impressive cave system, one of the largest in the world.
If you are visiting Taxco or anywhere near by (even as a day trip from Mexico City), this is a must!! The caves were enormous, strikingly beautiful and the tour really immersed us in them. We have been travelling around Latin America for months and this was one of the most amazing places we saw. Some info for visiting: The buses leave from Taxco throughout the day, but it’s best going early. It is the bus that goes to Toluca but it stops at Grutas first (about 40 mins from Taxco). You then walk down the road to the park entrance (easy to follow and do). Tickets are 200 pesos per adult with a Spanish guide and tours leave on the hour every hour. Our Spanish isn’t amazing, but the caves are so incredible that you could know no Spanish at all and it wouldn’t detract from the experience. The bus back to Taxco is from the same stop and leaves every hour (we were told the last one is at 8pm so there’s no chance of missing it by the time the park closes). We visited in the week and we were a group of 4 which was great for allowing us to enjoy the caves without any crowds
Michael T — Google review
Beautiful experience!! We highly recommend. It makes a good day trip from Puebla. The caves are huge! I have never seen a cave system this large. There were a lot of people but it didn't hurt our trip. We went on a Sunday afternoon.
Tina E — Google review
A couple of friends, Héctor & Sara took me here during my trip to Mexico, and I can’t even begin to explain how awe-inspiring this experience was. It’s a two-hour adventure, and you can start off by either zip-lining across the cave entrance or walking across—an incredible way to kick things off! I was absolutely blown away by the sheer size of the caves. Pictures will never do them justice—you truly have to be there in person to appreciate their vastness. It’s 100% worth the drive. The name Cacahuamilpa comes from the Náhuatl language, spoken by one of Mexico’s Indigenous cultures, and it means “fertile peanut planting field.” The area was named for its rich soil, which was ideal for growing peanuts. In pre-Hispanic times, many Indigenous tribes avoided entering the cave system, believing that the rock formations inside were evil spirits. Entering the caves was thought to bring bad luck. The caves’ modern history began in 1834 when a wealthy man from a nearby town hid inside them during a conflict. After returning home, he shared stories of the incredible caves, sparking interest in them. They officially opened to tourists in 1920, and in 1936, the Mexican government declared them a National Park. If you ever have the chance to visit, don’t hesitate—this is an unforgettable experience.

This is one of the longest limestone cavern I have ever seen. It has been developed very nicely. The lights are helpful for pics and also to render the formations. They have a short zip line at the entrance which is at extra cost. There is also a small food area before entering. Sell coconut for 70 Pesos which is about twice the price compared to regular prices. All in all a great experience
Bali A — Google review
A delightful creation of nature, striking in its scale and beauty. A magical place where you feel like you’ve accidentally visited the underground giant kings. With all this, this place is perfectly equipped and even with children, traveling through it is safe and easy. Unfortunately, I simply forgot to buy a permit for “professional filming,” so don’t blame me for the photo...
Andre K — Google review
Best national park tour available! The tour guides are not only informative and knowledgeable but sprinkle in family friendly humor throughout to keep it interesting. Be prepared though the trek is long but the guides constantly check in with the group to assess the overall stamina and give plenty of heads up as to how much longer the tour lasts. The views of the cavern are breathtaking as the guides really know how to keep you engaged throughout the tour.

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 5/5 Family friendly: 5/5 Stroller friendly: 3/5 I gotta say, i wasn't to sure what to expect from this place since it's out in the middle of nowhere-svillle, but I'm glad I was able to experience this amazing ecological park and cave. We did this on our way Taxco, Guerrero; México. The opens around 10-1030ish and there is a fee to park ($50 MXN, $1 USD). Just be prepared to get swarmed by vendors selling trinkets and what-not. It is the culture here, however I got used to it. To get into the caves there are guided cave tours ($8 USD, $150 MXN per person). Our guide was excellent, she explained the history of explorers and how the cave came to be, the inhabitants of the cave (bats), and some science of the minerals of stalactites and stalagmites. She spoke enough English to explain some things as well. There are also other activities like Ziplining where, instead of walking across the bridge to the cave, one can Zipline across which i think was $60 MXN. This trail is about a 4 KM (2 mile-ish) walk in dimly lit terrain in a humid enclosed cave, so if you or someone in your party is not into that you're able to turn around. Also, there are about 100 steps towards the turn around. BE PREPARED WITH WATER! Once done with the caves, thee are so many vendors selling coco frío, micheladas, and other excellent foods. We ended up at Fonda Mary that made excellent, fresh quesadillas, tacos dorados, and so many other delectable foods. I highly recommend this experience if you're on the fence about doing it.

Very fun for all ages. They have many slides in all sizes. There is a really fun kids zone and even a toddler zone. I wish I had more pics of the slides. Also if you take your own beer there's a fee you have to pay for each can you take into the park.

Can’t Wait to Go Back El Rollo is a fun water park for the entire family. There is something for everyone. El Rollo can be enjoyed all year long, since the town it is in, Jojutla, is warm all year long. El Rollo isn't that crowded. The wait time for each ride is about 2-5 minutes. Sometimes, there is nobody in line at all! (The times we have gone have been during the week, so I’m not sure how crowded it gets on the weekend.) The food that they have is only so-so. We had the rotisserie chicken, and it was bland. They do have a variety of restaurants (a Traditional Mexican food restaurant, Dominos Pizza, Subway sandwiches, Alas alitas, a hamburger stand, and a couple of snack bars). My recommendation is to bring your own food and drinks. I was happily surprised they allowed outside food and drinks to be brought in. El Rollo is a very clean and organized park. There are lots of tables in shaded areas or with umbrellas. There are also a lot of pool chairs in the children’s section and near the wave pool. The temperature of the water is perfect. I have been to other water parks and public pools in Mexico and the water is often freezing at those places. The lockers are very convenient (there are several locker locations). You can get a locker for $60 pesos or a private locked changing room for $100 pesos for the day. The private changing room will hold up to 5 suitcases. The workers are very friendly and know the place very well so it is easy to find what you need (rides, bathrooms, restaurants, etc). The best part (as it should be) is there’s a great variety of water slides. There are slides the family can do together, slides for 2 people, daredevil rides (like the Pendulum), a wave pool, a river with waves, a large area for little kids (at 3-4 PM there are foam bubbles), and a surfing/boogie board simulator (the simulator costs a little extra). My family loves El Rollo so much we bought an annual pass.

Went on a Wednesday, not packed. Lots of fun. Huge place. We only went thru barely half of the park. You can bring your own food and drinks. You can get a Sam’s club or Santander card discount (not aware of other types of discounts), website also says there’s a discount. very clean. Lockers are available of diff sizes.

El rollo what can I say about this place I've been going for years since I was to small to ride the big rides this is one of those places that your really just have to see and check out for yourself it's well worth it just make sure your kids are taller then 48in if not they still have plenty of rides for the little ones and two little water parks not far at all from all the action. One of my favorite rides is El racer you basically control the speed the harder you push off the faster you go and if you paid attention in science that's an advantage as you know when to pull up and drop your weight.

Fun water park, entrance tickets are about 27 dollars each, you can bring an ice chest or there is several places to eat inside the park which are pricey overall good experience

My family and I had a good time, we traveled from Minnesota, although the date might not had been the ideal, we nade the best of it before the sun set!!

This place is fun for your kids. Adults can enjoy the wave pool and the lazy river. The lazy river was fun, it deeper than usual and has waves which makes it fun. My family enjoyed it alot. We took food in so I did not try the restaurants inside.

Jardines de México

Theme park
Nature & Parks
Garden
Botanical garden with regionally themed sections, seasonal blooms & a restaurant.
This might be the best garden I’ve ever visited in Mexico! They have great displays with colour and tori and themed gardens which revolve around tropical plants, cactuses and succulents, Italian and Japanese design. Don’t miss the contemporary art walk. It’s quite a treat!
Karl G — Google review
Very nice place to visit if you are not far from there. It’s botanist gardens with different style: Roman, Japanese. They host concert and wedding. They restaurant is good and staffs are very friendly.

Loooooved this place. I really like how they organised everything and how well maintained it is. We went on a weekday so the place was ours. It was a hot day but you could always find a shade to rest. It reminded me of Kew gardens because of the sectioning of the gardens instead of the plant habitats. I come from northwest Mexico so I had no idea this existed. Very proud we have something like this in Morelos.
Walkiria N — Google review
A very beautiful and well preserved collection of botanical gardens with the most typical styles from around the world. The place is quite big and it takes from 2 to 4 hours to walk across all the gardens and visit the open spaces that the place offer. The entrance cost appear to be a little expensive but it's really worth it, it's almost like entering to an amusement park. You can pay an additional amount (50 pesos at this time) to use the internal transport which I recommend if the weather is hot or if you are visiting the place with kids or elder people. Food from the restaurants inside the park is really expensive and it's not that good, a lot of people were complaining about the taste of the dishes, beverages are not included in the buffet. For food I suggest to go to a nearby town, Tequesquitengo which is 10 minutes by car from the park where you can find much better food with much lower prices.

I'd never thought that visiting a garden would be so much fun. I had zero expectations, but walking or experiencing all the gardens was a different experience. Bring water bottles with you

Wonderful place to spend the day walking in magnificent gardens! Though a little bit expensive to get there, it was worth the trip! I will love to go back in another season of the year to enjoy the blooming of the different gardens! I even enjoy an unexpected dance show from Veracruz state. Very, very good! Bring your children! They will love discovering the different environments!

It's a stunning place. Great option to have an awesome day with friends, family, partner o even your dog. They open the place for dogs time to time. I went during Summer, it's really beautiful but it changes according to the season. They recommend you visit on November when everything is yellow and December when everything turns into red. November is full of marigolds and other day of the dead typical flowers and December is painted on res because of the poinsettias. Of course, along Spring it is a rainbow. Definitely a wondrous place, must to visit several times. Try to stay there enough time. It's really hot so you will want to have some break throughout your visit. If you don't have any healthy issue, try to visit by walking, it's worthy!
Lexy ( — Google review
The place is nice, it is very well taken care of and you can see several plants. If you're into such well "groomed" gardens, this is the place for you. The WOW effect were the orchids and the cactuses. Easy to get to. You have to wear masks also outdoors. The buffet restaurant is nice, food is good. Drinks are not included.

Zocalo, Taxco is home to the stunning Santa Prisca Church, a religious building known for its Spanish colonial Baroque architecture and interior covered in gold. The area also offers affordable dining options and a cable car service with scenic views. This magical Mexican town is nestled among mountains in Guerrero, offering delicious food, picturesque spots, and pet-friendly locals.
This must be one of the nicest Zocalo in Mexico, peaceful, birds are chirping, vendors hawking their goods and above all the magnificent Church. Beautiful square to just hang out, sipping an ice coffee and watch the people.

We visited the Santa Prisca Church. It is beautiful inside and out. Take the time to go up the Tower to see a nice view of the whole town. The only bad thing is all these people trying to sell you something every step you take. They don't let you take all this beauty in in peace.

Charming town square full of life and local character The Zócalo of Taxco is everything you’d hope for in a small Mexican mountain town. lively, picturesque, and full of local charm. Surrounded by whitewashed colonial buildings, narrow streets, and the stunning Santa Prisca Church, it’s the perfect place to sit, relax, and soak up the atmosphere. Street vendors, small cafés, and silver shops line the area, and the vibe is welcoming and peaceful. Whether you're enjoying a coffee, people-watching, or starting your exploration of the town, the Zócalo feels like the natural heart of Taxco. It’s simple but special experience for its authentic, small-town Mexico feel.

Espectacular view of the city. Taxco is a hidden gem of mexico. A white city with colonial red roofs. Little stone pave street well kept. I bit crowded at times by local vendors. A mix between an Cinque Terre and Tangier

Santa Prisca de Taxco, a church built in 1758, is an iconic landmark in the town of Taxco. Its opulent facade features elaborate Churrigueresque belfries and a simple yet elegant nave made of rose-colored stone. Inside, visitors can admire the intricately sculpted, gold-covered altarpieces. The church's baroque architecture and stunning views make it a must-visit attraction in Taxco.
One of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever seen. Santa Prisca sits right in the middle of Taxco and really stands out with its pink stone and incredibly detailed facade. Inside, it's just as impressive — gold everywhere, intricate carvings, and a really peaceful atmosphere despite all the activity outside. You don’t have to be religious to appreciate the craftsmanship here. It’s a quick visit but definitely a highlight of Taxco. There are also great views of the church from nearby rooftops and restaurants, especially around sunset.
Alex K — Google review
Build by Jose de la Borda a prosperous miner of Taxco who became bankrupt owing to the high cost of this but later stuck silver and became even more wealthy. It is one of the best new Spanish constructions. Santa Prisca has nine floor-to-ceiling altarpieces, worked in wood and covered with gold leaf. The style of the altarpieces forms a unit with the architectural ensemble, that is, it is a sample of mid-18th century New Spanish Baroque

Stunning architecture and home to the world’s largest silver Virgin of Guadalupe Santa Prisca de Taxco is the crown jewel of Taxco. The Baroque architecture is breathtaking, with its detailed stonework and iconic twin towers making it a standout right in the center of the town. The interior is equally impressive, filled with ornate altars, intricate artwork, and a peaceful, reverent atmosphere. One of the most unique features is the solid silver statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, said to be the largest in the world. Standing six feet tall and weighing around 380 pounds, this statue is a true reflection of Taxco’s silver heritage and a highlight of any visit. Founded in 1751, Santa Prisca holds historical and cultural significance, contributing to Taxco’s reputation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An awesome experience, combining history, architecture, craftsmanship, and spiritual importance in one unforgettable visit.

What a beautiful piece of work. I have never seen any of the historic churches in Europe but I imagine they would look something like this. Took a trip up the bell tour. Got vertigo. Worth stopping into if you are there.

What a beautifully designed church. It is the heart of the town. Beautiful Inside and out. Once inside everywhere you lay eyes on you see intricate designs. The silver Virgen de Guadalupe is life size and is a testament of Taxco being the capital of silver of Mexico. I know you can ask about climbing the towers to get a view of the city, we visited while they were doing baptisms and didn’t know who to ask but if you have the chance definitely do it!

Caletilla Beach is a popular destination in Acapulco, known for its two small beaches that come together to form a cove on the southern part of the Peninsula de Playas. In the 1950s, it was a favorite spot for celebrities and millionaires. Visitors can take a glass-bottom boat ride from Caletilla beach to reach the island where they can explore and see various tropical jungle animals at a small zoo.
Acapulco was hit by a hurricane and the windows of many hotels ended up on the beach. I collected and made this, I would have bought something like it from an artist is the area but all that was offered was Chinese crap.

Capilla de la Paz, also known as the Chapel of Peace, is a striking modern structure with pyramid-style architecture and a massive stone cross standing over 131 feet tall. This clifftop chapel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Acapulco Bay and serves as an open-air sanctuary. Visitors can admire the iconic forty-meter-high Cross and the Hands of the Brotherhood sculpture by Claudio Favier.
What a cool, peaceful place in the mountain. The view of the sea and the bay are wonderful. Free to enter, but you can leave a donation. Note, this is in a secure, private neighborhood; so you need to go through security. Only open until 6pm. The parking area is on the street. You will need to walk up a steep hill about 80 meters in length to get to the chapel grounds.

La Capilla de la Paz is truly one of Acapulco’s hidden gems. Perched high on the hilltop of Las Brisas, the chapel offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the bay and surrounding mountains. The moment you arrive, there’s a profound sense of calm. The architecture is striking — modern yet spiritual — with a massive white cross that stands over 40 meters tall, visible from much of the city. The bronze sculpture of praying hands near the entrance is powerful and symbolic. Inside, the open-air chapel is simple but deeply moving, filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. We were greeted by the serene sound of birds and the rustling of palm trees, and even though it was a warm afternoon, the cool mountain breeze made it perfect. It’s not just a religious site — it’s a peaceful place to reflect, take in the view, and feel connected to something bigger. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Acapulco, whether you’re spiritual or simply looking for tranquility and beauty.
Marc P — Google review
Very high on a mountain, we passed several of what can only be termed mansions or luxury homes on our long coach ride up. Our guide suggested several Hollywood stars owned some of the houses, all of them with infinity pools hanging off the cliffside. At the top stands a quite modern chapel (possibly ultramodern in design) and several monuments, one for the Las Manos de la Hermandad (Builders). Tombs are present for prominent / wealthy families. Views from all sides are spectacular. In more rural areas, there is more honor to a family to be buried higher on a hill, and there is no higher hill than this in Acapulco. One one side I could see down along the entire bay of Acapulco and its waterfront.
