Port Jackson is the beautiful place, we know as Sydney Harbour and one of the most spectacular harbours in the world not only on the water but the many walks around the coastline. With its busy water traffic and iconic structures such as the bridge and the Opera House it must be seen from the water

What can I say. Sydney Harbour (Port Jackson) for me personally has and always will be the most picturesque and beautiful harbour in the world. Although I don't live in this city any longer. I am always in awe of this extremely appealing and iconic harbour. It can look so different depending upon the time of day. Or when it is seen at sunrise, sunset, rain or cloud. It never fails to show different characteristics when seen under natural and artificial lighting as well as a variety of different weather conditions. The Iconic Opera House and Sydney Harbour bridge as always are a must see if you are only visiting briefly.

One of the best bays I have ever seen. Excellent balance between natural beauty and real estate. Very proud of my own country.

Fringed by Sydney Harbour National Park, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Catch a ferry to Taronga Zoo Wharf, & walk the trail to Bradleys Head. Watch the ferries commuting across the harbour, enjoy a picnic, & take in the breathtaking scenery. There are great harbour views from the entire walking trail to Middle Head. One of the prettiest, most scenic walks I've been on & highly recommended whilst in Sydney. Also a popular area for fishing & boating.

It houses an extensive and diverse collection of contemporary, modern, indigenous, Australian, Aboriginal, European, and Asian art. Located just a short walk from the city center near the Royal Botanic Gardens, this classical-style building welcomes over a million visitors annually. With more than 40,000 captivating works on display and ever-changing exhibitions, it offers something for everyone.
We had a wonderful visit to the NSW Art Gallery. The story time in the children’s library was such a lovely experience, and the kids really enjoyed it. We also loved the interactive exhibits in the gallery, which made the visit engaging and fun for the whole family. A great place to spend time together.

This is definitely a must-visit museum and a perfect spot to check in when you’re in the area. The art exhibitions are beautiful, inspiring, and truly impressive. There’s also a great sense of history throughout the place, which makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s also an Instagram-worthy destination — the architecture, lighting, and layout all make for cool photo opportunities. The best part is that entry is completely free! The building itself is stunning from the outside, and everything inside is well-maintained. The air-conditioning is cool and comfortable, and the restrooms are clean and convenient. To get there, you’ll walk through a lovely park, full of greenery and peaceful vibes. The whole area feels calm and elegant — it almost made me feel like I was somewhere in England! Overall, it was such a wonderful experience — relaxing, inspiring, and absolutely worth a visit. Whether you love art, history, or just want a beautiful place to wander and take photos, this museum is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. 🎨✨

It was founded in 1872. It is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. It's free entry to most of the exhibits except for special presentations. It's popular with locals and tourists. Toilets are available. Cafes and restaurants are in-house and outside nearby. Parking is difficult and advisable to use public transport. Most areas are level access.

If you haven't visited the Mike Hewson "The Key's Under The Mat" exhibition at The Art Gallery of NSW, you must . Great Fun for kids and adults especially on rainy days or extremely hot days. Bring your swimmers ( although no pools there are communication showers and a water feature to play under as well as a milk tank steam room and Scandinavian sauna as well as change rooms), a picnic and bbq items ( there is a communial BBQ bench with I think 4 BBQ on it you can use to cook your sausages and other protein on , there are lots of places to sit and eat and large sinks to wash up in), bring your laundry ( Yep there are working front loaders and a top loaders washing machines but mainly used to wash the towels in), there are lots of weird and wonderful kids books to read and even a few toys, there is a set of swings and a roller coaster track shaped monkey bar, also a DJ stage with background music playing and a makeshift hut which if you are lucky houses an artist in resident working, toilets are outside near the lifts of the Nelson Packer Tank where the exbition is, pram parking area near entrance exit of exhibition and if you forgot to pack a BBQ, picnic or snacks like I did because I was so unprepared - there is a small concession snack stall set up inside the exhibition with basic light snacks and drinks to purchase just like ones you would see near a beach or park. Highly recommended but try and go on a weekday as Saturdays can get busy from opening to closing hours. Spend the day there as there are other exhibitions to see and activities to do like the patchwork activity at one of the other current exhibitions on.

I had a great visit to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Entry is free, which is such a bonus, and the collection is really nice to explore. The crowd was okay. not too packed, so I could enjoy the artworks comfortably. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Sydney.
Maria Y — Google review
Well set out. Interesting exhibition. I really enjoyed the new gallery. Modern art not usually for me but this was a stand out. The chalk house, the video of the artist's family home...I had to do a very whistle stop tour of both galleries. I'd recommend it.
Lorna B — Google review
Great museum with alot of art to see from new to old history. It’s so big that you definitely need 2 or 3 hours for it. They have a cafe/restaurant where you can take a break. Various of nice food options available for a very affordable price as well! Would recommend going here, it’s a must and since it’s free so you have nothing to lose.

Fantastic art gallery! There is so much to see for art lovers. The permanent exhibits are mainly in the main building. The newly built section is a couple of minutes walk away and houses a unique light and sound installation in basement of building (check out the video).

This walkway connects Cronulla Park and it's beach where the lifesavers club is located to Shelly beach and Oaks Park. Beautiful homes and condos lined up the path with excellent view of the sea and the soothing sound of its waves pounding the beach.

This walk is quite similar to the famous Bondi to Coogee walk, but without the constant ups and downs, making it a little more relaxing while still just as breathtaking. Along the way, you’ll pass by some stunning coastal houses that are worth admiring as you stroll. The path also takes you past several beautiful beaches, each perfect for a quick stop or swim. I personally recommend taking a break at Shelly Beach — in my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney, and the atmosphere there is just unbeatable.

Beautiful coastal walk with stunning ocean views. Clean path, safe, and relaxing — one of the best spots in Sydney!
Golam S — Google review
I love this walk. Beautiful views and clear pathways. A few options along the way for food, drinks, and restrooms. Plenty of benches around to rest. A few rock pools. Nice and clean. Easy walk and mostly flat. There seems to be plenty of parking on weekdays. The train and busses do connect to the area, making it easily accessible.

A Perfect Family Outing Last weekend, my partner, our little one, and I set out for a leisurely stroll along the Cronulla Beach Walk—and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Here’s why it’s our new favourite family adventure. From the moment we began at North Cronulla, the wide, smooth promenade made pushing our pram effortless. There are gentle inclines, clear distance markers, and plenty of room to chat side-by-side without worrying about uneven ground. Halfway along, we paused at a patrolled section of sand where lifeguards keep watch in peak season. We dipped our toes while our baby splashed happily in the shallow water—perfect for peace of mind and sandy giggles. With a babe in tow, it helps to have options: we found shaded benches overlooking the surf, public showers to rinse off, and clean restrooms just steps from the sand. It made nappy changes and snack breaks a breeze. My partner and I treated ourselves to takeaway flat whites and açai bowls at a beachfront café. They wrapped everything up neatly so we could sip and stroll—our little one even snuck a bite of banana puree between sips! Further along the walk is a lovely playground nestled among Norfolk pines. We parked the pram, let our baby explore the swings, and enjoyed a picnic on the nearby grass—complete with barbecues and dappled shade. Watching the foamy waves roll in, hearing our baby’s delighted coos, and feeling the salt breeze together—it was the perfect way to reconnect as a family outside the usual routine. Whether you’re with little ones, toddlers, or grown-ups only, the Cronulla Beach Walk delivers: it’s safe, beautiful, and packed with conveniences for families. If you’re after a stress-free, picturesque outing with your partner and baby, this is the spot to make those sunny weekend memories! Ps there was a sausage stall with chiken sausage! I am still finding there page . But cant find them they have theeee Maizing fooood ! It was oktoberfest something bit too good !!
Priezay S — Google review
I can’t say enough good things about this beach! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The sand is unbelievably soft and powdery — the kind that doesn’t burn your feet or cling too much when it’s time to head home. The water is crystal clear with the most stunning shades of turquoise and deep blue, and you can see small fish swimming right near the shore. It’s the kind of place that instantly melts your stress away. The beach is wonderfully clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of trash bins and recycling stations, which made me appreciate how much effort goes into keeping it pristine. The lifeguards are friendly, attentive, and clearly care about everyone’s safety without being intrusive. I also loved that there are plenty of shaded spots under palm trees and umbrellas to take a break from the sun, yet the open stretches of sand give you all the space you need for beach games or simply relaxing. One of the highlights for me was the calm, gentle waves — perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and even floating around lazily with a drink in hand. If you’re into snorkeling, you’ll love the nearby reef where you can see colorful coral and vibrant marine life just a short swim away. There are also rental shops close by offering kayaks, jet skis, and beach chairs at reasonable prices, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The nearby cafes and beach bars were a pleasant surprise too. The food was fresh and delicious — especially the seafood — and the sunset cocktails were absolutely perfect while watching the sky transform into a watercolor masterpiece. There’s something magical about the atmosphere here; everyone seems relaxed, happy, and genuinely enjoying the moment. Whether you’re a solo traveler looking for peace and quiet

The Sydney Opera House is an iconic arts center located on Bennelong Point in Sydney Harbour, offering breathtaking views of the harbor, bridge, and city skyline. With over 1,600 performances annually, it hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theatre, music, dance, and comedy shows. This architectural marvel is a must-see attraction that draws millions of visitors each year. Its unique design and cultural significance make it a standout feature of the picturesque Sydney Harbour.
Booked the tour and dining experience for $81 weeks in advance. Tour started and ended on time with a group of around 20. Headsets were provided so that everyone can hear the live tour guide. They will ask you to check in any medium or large sizes bags or backpacks, but it's easy and free. Tour involved some easy, short walks and steps, but anyone can manage. Very informative and worth doing. The dining add on gives you 3 restaurant options to choose from, all very close by. There's a special, limited menu just for this deal. I chose Midden which had no wait for lunch time and went with the barramundi dish and pinot grigio. The fish was excellent, perfectly cooked and thoughtfully flavored. Asked for no added salt and they were able to accommodate. Wine was good as well and recommended by the server. Overall, a great tour and dining experience that's reasonably priced
Tim — Google review
The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!
Yolanda G — Google review
Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.
Ira S — Google review
Sydney Opera House really leans into that whole “world-famous icon” thing, but once you stand in front of it you cannot unsee the truth. It looks exactly like a giant rack to dry dishes. A premium, waterfront, government-funded dish rack. Someone clearly put the budget on the wrong Pinterest board. It still looks good, no denying that. The patterns on the tiles are gorgeous, the shape is wild, the whole structure owns the harbor like it pays rent for the sun. But the moment the dish-rack comparison hits your brain, it is over. Those shiny white shells become plates waiting to drip dry. And the big question: was it worth the time and money? Honestly, maybe. It is one of those bucket list things you check off because it is famous, not because it changes your life. You go there, you stare at it, you laugh at how much it looks like kitchen equipment, you take the photos, and you move on. Iconic, yes. Beautiful, sure. Worth the hype? Debatable. But unforgettable as the world’s fanciest dish rack.
Wade W — Google review
Stopped by for a quick look around. Sydney is a beautiful city and this part of town is both historic and swanky. Lots of people about enjoying their evening and overall a very good atmosphere. The whole area surrounding the opera house is lovely to explore.
Sumiitra S — Google review
If you are a lover of Broadway, opera or just to see an iconic building, than this is a must see. Take a guided walking tour starting from the basement on up through the inner workings of the back end. Very interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking. If you are going for a great breakfast, don’t count on it. It’s just meh. Breakfast is at the end of the tour in what they call back in the states their commissary but they call it their green room.
Sharon W — Google review
Architecture that captivates your heart! I didn't get a chance to go inside, but honestly, the outside view is stunning enough on its own, it has its power to grab everyone's attention. Top Tip: If you want the best possible view, take a ferry from Circular Quay after sunset. Seeing the Opera House from the water at night is an unmissable experience.
Kishan N — Google review
To call the Sydney Opera House an extraordinary global landmark is not an overstatement. Its design is a study in elegant simplicity, and it inspires a powerful sense of awe whether you are standing right beside it or seeing it from across the harbor. I find myself at a loss for words to fully express my admiration for this magnificent structure. The architecture's silhouette forms a breathtaking curve where the structure meets the sky. This fabulous view is captivating at any hour, whether in the bright light of day or the dark of night.

Sights & Landmarks
Formerly known as Centrepoint Tower, Sydney Tower Eye is a must-visit landmark in Sydney. It offers a 4-D cinema, an observation deck, and an outdoor viewing platform that provides stunning 360-degree views of the city. This iconic tower serves as a great starting point for first-time visitors to get their bearings in Sydney. The panoramic scenery from the top allows visitors to familiarize themselves with the city's layout and plan their transportation options accordingly.
This restaurant left a HUGE impression on me when I was a child. To find out the restaurant is still open and that it still revolves was so exciting. On a recent trip to Sydney over the school holidays, I shouted myself and my 11 year old child to dinner, and watching the smile on her face made my mind flood with many happy memories. I personally found the price to be a little on the expensive side, but I will not complain as the experience, the food and the views won hands down and made the price very worthy. I arranged a window seat and that was perfection. Our seating time was 1hour & 45 minutes and in that time the restaurant revolved 2 full times and some. As we were a table of two, the staff thought we must have left (while we were up getting our food) and cleared our drinks and table, but this was addressed and quickly fixed up. As it was early evening (6pm booking), we had the joy of seeing Sydney come to light. Advice would be, book ahead to grab a good table and go with an empty belly as there is so much great food to try. It was a spectacular experience that made many new happy memories. Enjoy!

Sydney Tower Eye was great! Good for tourists who want a great view of the city. $42 for one adult ticket so a bit pricey but I’d say worth it. We also did a photobooth while we were up there $10 for 3 slips with 4 photos which was quite good!
Olivia — Google review
On our recent trip to Sydney we did the buffet meal for lunch in the tower. The food was amazing, so many options from traditional roasts and seafood to salads and desserts. Too many choices and the rotating restaurant is fantastic 360 degree views. If I had more time would have loved to go again at night to see the lights but enjoyed at lunch to see the sites while enjoying a magnificent feast. A definite must do.

Sydney Tower Eye is a must-see! The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, and you can see the entire city, the harbour, and even the coastline. We did the sunset visit, and it was incredible — less crowded, peaceful, and the colors over Sydney were just beautiful. The whole experience was smooth and family-friendly. A perfect way to take in the beauty of Sydney!

Went for the VIP experience. Thanks to Kim and Mareil for the fantastic sky walk. The staff in the Infinity restraint were first class. Happy to explain the dishes and made us feel very welcome in a setting that was a bit alien to us. On to bar 83 where again, the staff were most accommodating and friendly. And, of course, the best views in Sydney.

Its really nice lookout place. You can see so much from Sydney. Windows could be cleaned up better but I believe that its quite hard to maintain place with so many visitors. But there is still space to improve :) We bought tickets on arrival and they let us in a moment.
Radovan K — Google review
It's landmark of Sydney, but I don't think this place is "must visit spot" of Sydney. The place is great place to see landscapes, but I don't think staffs aren't putting enough effort to keep place clean. Also the place isn't that much big, but ticket price isn't that much reasonable, so I rather recommend observatory hills instead.

Stunning views, friendly staff. Min spend of 30$ each person at the bar but no admission fee. Not crowded when we went and felt it was well worth the money.

Circular Quay Wharf 3 is a bustling hub for ferry services, primarily catering to those heading to the picturesque Manly Beach. With frequent departures and an organized boarding process, travelers can easily swipe through Opal gates and find seating options for those who need it. The journey itself offers breathtaking views of Sydney's iconic landmarks like the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, making it not just a means of transport but also a delightful experience.
Catch your old-school ferry to Manly from this wharf at Circular Quay. Offers trips on the largest ferries in the fleet for the 30 minute trip from the city to Manly. If you need to get there faster the fast ferry goes from wharf 2, but costs more and isn’t really the same experience.
Sean N — Google review
Wharf 3 sits in that sweet pocket of Circular Quay where the city meets the water without any fuss. Step off the concourse and you are right on the edge of the harbour, with gulls wheeling overhead and ferries sliding across a backdrop of sails and steel. The layout is intuitive. Big departure boards show routes and countdowns, audio announcements are clear, and the queue forms naturally along the rails so you never feel boxed in. Even on busy afternoons there is space to pause, look out across the bay and decide whether you are chasing the next service or lingering for the view. Getting on board is a smooth process. The ramp sits level with the deck, so prams and wheelchairs roll through easily, and crew guide everyone with a calm efficiency that keeps things moving. Shade canopies take the sting out of bright days and there are benches to lean on while you wait. If the breeze is up the pontoon has that briny, cooling draft that reminds you you are about to be out on open water. Once the gates open the line moves at a steady clip, Opal readers register taps quickly, and you are choosing a seat before you have had time to second guess your plan. A few handy habits make the stop even better. Keep a contactless card ready in your pocket, it helps the whole queue. Sunglasses are your friend when the glare bounces from the water, and a light layer is worth packing because air temperatures dip as soon as the boat swings out into the channel. Pick a spot on the right side of the deck for a sweeping look back to the Opera House on departure, or stay near the stern if you prefer a gentler ride on choppier days. Trains, light rail and coffee are steps away when you return, so it is easy to turn a ferry trip into a simple, satisfying loop through the city.

The Manly ferry leaves from Wharf 3. Entry and exit to the wharf to board is pretty organised, queues form to swipe through Opal gates a few minutes prior to arrival. There is also some seating available for elderly or people with mobility issues.

The beach offers a laid-back vibe with rock pools, well-patrolled waters ideal for families and surfers of all levels, and a range of eateries and bars nearby.
Very nice beach......but it is NOT a nudist beach, this is apparently frowned upon.....and the snapping turtles are relentless (this act alone may be the reason that its not a nudist beach)

Lovely beach, absolutely beautiful except the crane spoiling the view but hopefully will be not long to go away. Yes, will be visiting over and over again. South Cronulla a bit too small for my liking but North Cronulla is wow.
Krasimira V — Google review
It was packed when we went there so the swimming area(between the two flags) has very limited space for people. The waves are quite aggressive too, but it was a great beach otherwise.

The QVB is truly one of the most beautiful shopping centres in the world. Beyond the endless high-end shops and excellent eateries spread across its multiple floors, the building itself is a spectacular example of Romanesque Revival architecture. It's a wonderful place to walk and soak up history. And speaking of history: the famous mystery letter from Queen Elizabeth II is a real-life time capsule and won't be opened until 2085. The instructions for the letter are on display, leaving visitors to wonder what message the late Queen left for the future citizens of Sydney.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, an iconic structure opened in 1932, offers the thrilling BridgeClimb experience and the Pylon Lookout with exhibitions. Beyond its fame, Sydney's surroundings offer unique experiences like camping beneath the bridge or glamping in a zoo with a harbor view. The city's wild heart extends to camping areas and caravan parks near the CBD, while train rides from Central Station lead to the Blue Mountains or coastal beaches.
This was such a great walk across the bridge. One has a choice to take the hike up above or walk along the path that is more level and the views quite spectacular. There are a few spots to sit and rest if needed as well.
J M — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most remarkable landmarks in Australia and an absolute must-visit when in Sydney. Known as the “Coathanger” because of its unique shape, this bridge is not only an engineering marvel but also a symbol of the city’s history and pride. Whether you are walking across it, driving over it, or simply admiring it from afar, the Harbour Bridge leaves a lasting impression. One of the best experiences is taking a leisurely walk across the bridge. The pedestrian walkway provides stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbour, and the vibrant city skyline. It is especially breathtaking at sunrise or sunset when the light reflects off the water, creating an unforgettable scene. For those seeking adventure, the famous BridgeClimb offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb to the very top, where you are rewarded with panoramic views that stretch as far as the Blue Mountains. The bridge is not just about sightseeing—it’s a living part of Sydney’s daily life. Thousands of cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it both functional and iconic. The blend of practicality and beauty makes it stand out as one of the greatest bridges in the world. Whether viewed from a ferry on the harbour, the Opera House steps, or from the top during a climb, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is truly spectacular. It represents strength, connection, and the spirit of Sydney. A visit here is always inspiring and memorable.
Pravin R — Google review
Standing atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic views of the Sydney Opera House, the sparkling harbor waters, and the city skyline were absolutely breathtaking. Walking across the bridge gave me a real sense of how massive and iconic this structure is — a true feat of engineering. The climb to the top was surprisingly smooth and well-guided, and the safety measures made the entire journey feel comfortable and secure. The fresh breeze off the harbor and the sight of ferries passing below added to the magic of the moment. What really stood out to me was how the Harbour Bridge brings the city together — both literally and symbolically. Whether you're walking, cycling, or driving across, there's a sense of connection to Sydney's history and its vibrant present. The guides were knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories about the bridge's construction and role in the city's development. It's more than just a bridge — it's a living part of Sydney's culture. If you're visiting, I’d say this is absolutely a must-do.
Edrea P — Google review
It is a must experience to walk through the bridge! Stunning views, and about 20/30min walking :) You can also pay to go up the little museum and have an even better view, but we didn’t do it and had the greatest time, still.

Lovely place and a special part of my son's family history. Celebrated 100 years! Well done with the security, clean and lovely place to visit. Many wonderful experiences to be had there and around the bridge with Sydney.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Australia and offers a truly unique experience. Walking across the bridge provides spectacular views of the Opera House, Circular Quay, and the harbour.
Daniela — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge stands as one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, offering an impressive combination of engineering and scenic beauty. Whether viewed from the waterfront or walked across, the bridge delivers sweeping views of the harbour, the Opera House, and the city skyline. Its scale and structure are striking up close, making even a simple stroll feel memorable. The surrounding areas are equally enjoyable, with well-maintained paths, lookout points, and plenty of spots to take in the scenery. Whether you’re sightseeing, photographing the skyline, or just exploring on foot, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a highlight that captures the essence of Sydney’s vibrant harbour.
Andy W — Google review
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is more than just an engineering marvel—it’s a symbol that defines the city’s skyline. Stretching gracefully across the harbor, its giant steel arch frames the water with both strength and elegance. Whether you see it from Circular Quay, the Royal Botanic Garden, or from a ferry gliding underneath, the bridge always commands attention, anchoring the view of Sydney in a way that feels both powerful and beautiful. ✨ A Masterpiece of Design and Scale Nicknamed the “Coathanger” for its sweeping arch, the bridge combines simplicity with grandeur. Its dark steel contrasts dramatically with the blue of the sky and the shimmer of the harbor, creating a bold silhouette that is instantly recognizable around the world. By day it looks solid and commanding; by night, illuminated against the city lights, it becomes almost magical. 🌊 A Perfect Companion to the Opera House What makes the Harbour Bridge especially beautiful is the way it interacts with its surroundings. Alongside the Sydney Opera House, it forms one of the most iconic pairs in global architecture—the strong, geometric arch harmonizing with the sail-like curves of the Opera House. Together, they create a skyline that is not just famous but deeply moving, a perfect blend of engineering and artistry. 🌟 A Living Landmark The bridge isn’t only beautiful from afar; it’s alive with movement. Cars, trains, cyclists, and pedestrians cross it every day, making it not just a monument but a vital part of the city’s daily rhythm. For those who climb it, the view from the top offers one of the most spectacular panoramas of Sydney, with the harbor stretching endlessly in all directions. ⸻ ✅ In short: The Sydney Harbour Bridge is both practical and poetic, a structure that carries people across the water while also carrying the weight of Sydney’s identity. Its beauty lies in its scale, its simplicity, and its perfect harmony with the harbor it spans.

Even on a cloudy day, Darling Harbour has a special charm. The grey skies seemed to soften the light over the water, giving the whole area a calm, peaceful feel. The reflections on the harbour looked almost silver, and the gentle breeze made it a perfect day for a slow walk along the waterfront. Cafés were cozy and welcoming, ideal for grabbing a warm coffee and sitting by the window to enjoy the view. The atmosphere was relaxed, with locals and tourists alike taking in the scenery and street performances. The mix of boats, water, and city skyline gives the place such a unique energy, even without the sunshine. SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a must-visit aquatic attraction in Sydney, offering five distinct habitat exhibitions showcasing Australia's marine life. Conveniently located near Circular Quay, it provides easy access for visitors. The aquarium houses a diverse range of ocean creatures and offers educational sessions on animal feeding and more. It's an ideal family-friendly activity that allows you to explore the rich underwater world of Australia's aquatic animals.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is an amazing experience and a must-visit in the city! The variety of marine life is incredible – from playful penguins and graceful rays to the impressive sharks swimming right above you in the tunnel. The exhibits are beautifully set up, and you really feel like you’re exploring the underwater world. It’s a fantastic spot for families, couples, or even solo visits. The penguin boat ride is a unique highlight, and the jellyfish displays are absolutely stunning. Everything is well maintained, and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend adding this to your Sydney itinerary – it’s both fun and educational!

The aquarium is big and full of amazing marine life. It’s right next to Wild Life and Madame Tussauds, so you can easily visit all three in one morning. I recommend going early to enjoy everything without rushing. I got my tickets online with a great deal — one pass for the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the Tower Eye. Such a magical place for kids! 🐠🐧✨

Really loved this aquarium. Easy to buy tickets online (and can save when bundling with collocated attractions). Highlight was the Dugong (unique to Indo-west Pacific). But the "ride" thru the penguins was fantastic (and unique among ALL the aquariums we have visited). Located on Darling Harbour, it's a wonderful "touristy" area in central Sydney. It was an easy 30 minute walk from our hotel near Hyde Park. Very friendly for wheelchairs and strollers to boot. Highly recommend!!!
Alan B — Google review
Visited 11am on a Wednesday hoping it would be quiet however there was a school excursion which negatively impacted my experience as kids were running around and screaming especially in the enclosed tunnels it was very loud. The 8 free photos weren’t clear on what was happening as it was 2 photos taken but they AI’d it into 8 fake filters. On a positive note, had a good variety of species of animals, being able to touch the some sea life was very fun. Penguin ride did need to be longer as it was over very very quickly.
James D — Google review
Sea life Sydney was a wonderful experience.I have been to other Aquariums in different cities but this one is the best so far. We have purchased tickets same day and there was hardly any waiting time. Tickets are slightly cheaper if purchased online day before. Best part was watching penguins. Boat ride to penguins was very very short. Time should be extended for that. Not able to watch them properly while we were in boat. Very well built with clear directions.
SK — Google review
Beautifully done interactive aquarium. Great for kids to learn and love nature. Just wish it had been made with wider aisles as prams are everywhere. Loved the sharks and stingrays but really it all was a joy. We went on a Monday and it was busy but not impossible. I would think weekends could get hectic.

My husband and I booked a beginners guided tour with them and had an amazing experience we'll never forget. It was our first time ever trying kayaking and neither of us can swim that well. We had been thinking of taking it up for the longest of time but had been too afraid. Through their training and guidance, they made it feel so easy and so enjoyable that we have now become confident enough to go kayaking by ourselves. Thank you so much for helping us get over our fears and to actually enjoy the experience. Amazing team, amazing place, and everything was just perfect ❤️ PS: besides a kind and friendly guide we also got a personal photographer. Thanks Marnie for the tour and the beautiful photographs of us trying kayaking for the first time.

We met here for a bookclub meeting over breakfast and as always, there were options. Vegan options. But with some left over toast I asked for some jam and I tell you what, their homemade jam is a thick, gooey, crimson paste with the freshest taste of berry I’ve ever had. It’s divine!!! Divine!!! I want a jar, a bucket, half a car of the stuff. It’s not too sweet and it’s more like a fruity berry compote without any of the liquid. Amazing. You nailed it. Ps - I’d love a few more vegan options.

Jade Teahouse is in the beautiful quiet Camellia Gardens. I arrived there, not knowing it was closing time soon. I ordered the Devonshire tea set. The scone was warm and soft with the right of sweetness of the jam to match it. The service was faultless. The ladies serving us were lovely and friendly and gave us a takeaway pack just in case we were unable to finish the food (didn’t happen ☺️). Highly recommend!

This is by far the most fun you can have in the air! Pilot and Owner Rick is very professional and funny and makes sure you get the most enjoyment out your gyrocopter experience. Flying over the ocean and bush along the east coast is quite a spectacle. There's a high chance after one flight you'll develop an addiction to gyrocopter flying!

Unbelievable experience...A must do....Rick(pilot) was so professional and passionate about his business, and his brand new chopper did not disappoint. Great flight over tuggerah lakes(over the top of my house) and then down the coast via Terrigal.... One of the best things i have done in a while.... Thankyou Rick, will be back for a go of the controls soon.....😀😎😁

Australian Reptile Park

Wildlife park
Zoos & Aquariums
Zoo
Popular zoo with many species of reptiles, free-roaming kangaroos, shows & hands-on experiences.
We had a lovely time today. We came especially for the Bluey experience and it was definitely well worth it. My daughter was so happy to meet Bluey and Bingo and have a photo taken with them. We were not rushed at all and she was given the chance to give them each a hug. We loved seeing the koalas and the Galapagos turtles the most. The interaction with the kangaroos was unforgettable. Got to see the cranky Croc but were unable to see the show as it was too crowded. It was so lovely to be out in nature. Loved to learn about the breeding programs they had. The staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend

We had a fantastic day at the Australian Reptile Park! The park has an impressive collection of reptiles and Australian native animals — from snakes and crocodiles to koalas and Tasmanian devils. The kids especially loved feeding the friendly wallabies and kangaroos, and the highlight of the day was meeting Bluey and Bingo! The park also has lovely picnic areas and a great playground, making it a perfect spot for families to relax and enjoy the day. Highly recommended for a fun and educational outing!
Sukhada S — Google review
We mainly visited the park for the Bluey show but everything else was great too. The place is nice, not too crowded and kids friendly. It's not huge like other zoos which makes the walking easier with young kids. It has a playground with shaded seats for parents. The shows were quite fun and entertaining and staffs were friendly and knowledgeable.
Sharmin H — Google review
This was honestly really well done. It was obvious the staff cared about the animals the various medical works they support as well as having a nice well kept park. It was a bit expensive, but I can see how the money was being used unlike so many other places. This is definitely a recommend, especially on weekends
Grant E — Google review
I had an amazing time visiting the Australian Reptile Park! The park is beautifully maintained, and you can tell the animals are really well cared for. There’s such a great variety — from reptiles and kangaroos to koalas and crocodiles — and everything is easy to see and enjoy. The staff truly make the experience special. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals. They took the time to answer questions, share fun facts, and make visitors feel welcome. You can really see how much they love what they do. The shows and talks were entertaining and educational, and it’s great to know that the park plays a big role in wildlife conservation and education in Australia. Highly recommend a visit for families, tourists, or anyone who loves animals. A big thank you to the whole team at the Australian Reptile Park for making it such an enjoyable and memorable day!

Had a great day with my family. Little one age 3 was very excited, loved the playground there as well. Lots of little spots to have a picnic lunch or buy from the kiosk.
Sue S — Google review
Cool place! The reptile talk was very good, the guy who did it was entertaining and clearly very knowledgeable. The spider section was a bit disappointing - more fake spiders than real ones! The gators and snakes were highlights, though.
Blu J — Google review
Beautifully presented array of reptiles, Marsupials and arachnids. Very informative with talks throughout the parkland setting. Kangaroos grazing throughout the area, lovely picnic areas, fabulous for families and nature lovers.

A Serene Retreat ‘Somersby falls’ is a breathtaking natural wonder. The cascading water, surrounded by lush greenery, creates a truly magical atmosphere. The sound of the falling water is incredibly soothing, and the mist adds a touch of enchantment. The hike to the waterfall was moderate, offering stunning views along the way. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and connect with nature. Highly recommend for anyone seeking peace, tranquility, and a bit of adventure.
Chetan M — Google review
Top falls viewing area is very average. The other two viewing levels are closed until mid October 2025. Parking is $8 flat rate
Fiona — Google review
What a beautiful part of nature. Make sure you go after some rain. 3 levels of waterfalls. It's a pretty steep track but safe. Lots of stairs but pretty easy as well. Keep an eye out for birds especially lyrebirds. The picnic are is very clean and tidy with great toilets. It cost 8 to park and when you can walk the waterfalls in an hour I felt the cost was a bit steep. But looking at the way the place is kept and the money is for national parks that ok.
Rob B — Google review
This fall is very good for a day trip. Easy trail walking and easy to reachable. Good place to reach from Sydney in an hour distance. Little bit slippery because of continuous water coming to this fall. Take your water while trailing and this place is little bit cooler than city.
Robin B — Google review
It is a nice place to visit not recommended for toddlers or elderly the falls are easily accessible and no fencing or warnings signs, a man was slipping carrying a toddler, a lil girl also slipped over. Very slippery over rock areas. Not many rails through stair ways, quite risky. Also copped a parking fine.
Reschelle G — Google review
One of the best waterfalls at central coast. The falls water is very refreshing. However, need to be cautious about slippery. It’s very easy for tracking, the falls has adequate parking facility, toilet and safe to travel. Worth to travel for day trip.
Javed — Google review
Beautiful series of waterfalls. Easy parking and Upper Falls easy to access. The trek to the more scenic waterfalls is a little more challenging. Middle Falls requires a little effort but is possibly the most beautiful of the three viewing areas. Lower Falls is more of an effort - not for the mobility impaired however well worth the endeavour for those fit of body!

Figure Eight Pools

Nature & Parks
Beaches
Coastal rock shelf with pools reached by a tricky 3.7-mi. hike, advised during low tide only.
Love this hike, it’s a must do in the Royal national park. Bring lots of water, take all your trash out, and follow all the posted safety signs as it can be dangerous and the pools are inaccessible at high tides. I find the walk is better than the pools themselves which are usually pretty dirty from all the other hikers jumping in them for the ‘gram
Remy H — Google review
The hike to the pools was doable, hiking back was more challenging. It was a one way hike! Lots of stairs!! Check the tides before going, can be dangerous. Be aware that your shoes might get wet. Round trip took us 2 hours. Beware that there are many rocks you need to climb on
Mi — Google review
It was an intense experience! The climb was exhausting and at times terrifying—I honestly felt in real danger and even feared for my life navigating some of the cliffs, since I’m not used to that kind of terrain. Despite the fear and the extreme challenge, reaching the pool was worth every moment. The unique rock formations and the stunning water made the risk feel worthwhile. Definitely an unforgettable and thrilling experience
Skyler H — Google review
Absolutely unforgettable adventure! The walk to the Figure 8 Pools in Royal National Park is an incredible experience from start to finish! 🌿✨ This Grade 4 track is a proper workout, so bring your stamina and get ready for a rewarding challenge. Depending on your pace (and how many photo stops you take!), the return trip takes about 3–5 hours. You’ll trek across so many different terrains — steps, flat bush tracks, sandy stretches, and rocky sections — all leading to the magical Figure 8 Pools. Just make sure to check tide times beforehand, as the pools disappear under the waves during high tides. If you love adventure, breathtaking coastal scenery, and a good dose of fun, this hike is an absolute must-do!
Subadra K — Google review
Worth the hike to get here.. Do be better and bring water, proper shoes, and a swimsuit (if you want to swim in the pool). You do need to climb into rocks at times, however, I've seen elderly people make the hike. Take a dip in the pool or just watch the waves crash into the rocks.
Casting S — Google review
Best hike ever! BE AWARE IT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON HIGH TIDE. it's covered by the ocean so check before! If it's high tide you can still reach the beach and admire the nature from there!
Isma M — Google review
We planned this hike with the tides so we would be approaching rock scramble sections at the lowest tide. We made it to the end and played for a little but couldn’t quite see the figure eight pool. Waves kept crashing in and knocked a few people over. We had young kids with us so we got out. Suddenly , a monstrous wave came out of nowhere and we watched horrified how a lady was knocked over and almost killed as she crashed against the rocks. She was lifted by helicopter. Not coming back .
Rossana C — Google review
A breathtaking natural wonder with crystal-clear tidal pools and incredible coastal views. The hike is tough (3-4 hours round trip) with steep, rocky terrain. Only visit at low tide, as high waves can be dangerous. Wear good shoes, bring water, and be prepared for an adventure. Worth it for thrill-seekers!

Hazelhurst Arts Centre, located in the heart of the Shire, is a hidden gem offering an enchanting experience for art enthusiasts, families, and groups. The center features beautiful gardens providing a tranquil setting for picnics and outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy hands-on pottery classes and explore the current exhibition "Lost in the Forest," showcasing exquisite textile techniques and embroidery stitches by artist Amy Jones. Additionally, Hazelhurst Cafe offers a nourishing lunch with vintage decor.
I love to take local and overseas visitors to see the Hazelhurst Gallery and Hazel Cafe This week visited on Monday and decided to have lunch. We were slightly concerned that one of the party was a vegan. Seemed like all stops were pulled out and the vegan was made something very much in line with his food requirements. The two ladies had a beautiful barramundi dish. We enjoyed the fact there was music but it didnt interfere with our being able to have a chat. Staff at the cafe attentive and welcoming. Visitors loved to see this beautiful place with an exhibition in situ and classes in some of the studios being enjoyed. A fabulous lunch and service. Thank you Hazel.

Some Sydney friends and I met up at the Hazelhurst cafe on a Sunday in July. We were there for brunch. Atmosphere - relaxed. A bit chic but in a very Australian, arty way. Service - friendly and efficient. They had a big baby shower setting up along side the open tables, so people were very busy (but organised). We were able to enjoy a good hour or so catching up and did not feel rushed. Food - coffee and hot cakes all around. Very nice, and they let one of our party who is very unwell and unable to eat much have the kid's size meal. This was really appreciated. Price - I thought quite reasonable. We did not get a Sunday surcharge.

It's not the first time I've been here, so this is my second time coming here for a very long time. The first time I was here was probably at least five years ago. The arts are still there. Maybe some have changed, and some stayed, and the cafe is still there and hasn't changed as always. There's a walk outside which it was a nice sunny but little cold day and there's some bins in around some areas we had a nice time there.

What an absolutely delightful experience at Hazelhurst Gallery, cafe and gardens. The gallery showcases an impressive array of artwork, providing a feast for the eyes and soul. The cafe, nestled within is a creative masterpiece in itself and the gardens are perfect for a post-gallery stroll or a cozy catch-up with friends.
Jennifer D — Google review
This Hazlehurst Arts Centre was my first time going there with the group. The Arts Centre was very nice , and I saw some cool arts photos hanging out on the walls for people to see for exhibition. There was a garden outside for us to play badminton, although it was a bit wet for us to play in the cold, sunny weather. There are toilets inside the centre for men and women’s or disability people. Parking spaces were available for the disability van driver Tony to park well because it was too narrow on the left side of the car next to the car parked too close to each other. I really enjoyed the arts centre with the group. Recommend going there with family one day. It was a good time

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Feels Like a Trap to Fine Visitors I had one of the most shocking and disappointing experiences at Royal National Park tonight. I went there to enjoy the peaceful view and relax, but what happened next was outrageous and completely unacceptable. When I tried to leave, I found that the gate had been locked without warning. I called the number listed, and they told me that the security guard would come to open the gate—but only after I paid an $88 fine. The guard from a company called Ultimate Security arrived and refused to let me out unless I paid on the spot. He was rude, unprofessional, and even tried to intimidate me by claiming he had come into the park earlier and sounded the horn twice to “warn” people that the gate was closing. I was inside the park the whole time—nobody came, nobody honked, and my car was clearly visible. He was blatantly lying. I explained that I didn't know the gate would be locked, and that even though there was a sign, it wasn't clear that the gate would physically be locked, trapping people inside. I also told them I suffer from high blood pressure and had forgotten my medication at home. Still, they coldly told me I had no choice but to pay or stay locked in. This isn’t just unkind—it’s dangerous and shows complete disregard for visitor safety. To make things worse, when I called their office, the person I spoke with was just as aggressive and dismissive, saying, “This is how the council wants it” and even mocking my situation. I felt bullied and helpless. I was forced to pay just so I could go home and take care of my health. From what I was told, this happens every night—which makes it feel like this is an intentional trap to squeeze money from unsuspecting visitors. Instead of informing people or sending staff through the park to warn about the gate, they wait until you're locked in, and then demand a fine to let you out. This kind of predatory behavior is disgraceful and deeply disappointing for what is supposed to be a public national park. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to be extremely cautious if you go there—you might end up locked in and extorted like I was.
Mohammad R — Google review
Extremely helpful staff, we were there to do our wedding preshoot and the staff couldn't have recommended more lovely places in the national Park. She also gave us a list of places not to go such as the figure 8 pool because we were unaware that we'd have to hike in our formal attire. The coffee here was also great, bit on the hot side, perhaps to cater to the older clientele.

Rangers are helpful, cafe provides good food. Otherwise you can picnic there in the pasture facing the river or shelters outside the visitor centre. You can hike the short hiking route nearby or roll a boat on the river. Coots, waterhen and wood ducks are found on the pasture and river. We are lucky enough to see a large lizard on the other side of the river.

Forty years ago I first walked in the Royal National Park. These days I run photography tours there and have walked the coast and tracks many times. The park kiosk is always worth a visit which I do every time I go. In the last three weeks I have run two tours and one photography class near the kiosk at Audley. Visit but during the week, less people. Go early for the beautiful light and have a coffee outside as you watch the water fowl and parrots.

I had an absolutely fantastic time! The staff were incredibly friendly and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was definitely the lively lunchtime feeding session, where we got to interact with the kangaroos and other animals. It was such a fun experience to see them up close and watch their playful antics while enjoying the unique setting.

A very nice wildlife park where some animals such as emus, kangaroos and wallabies roam freely with the visitors. There was also many other animals to see including cute rabbits, dingoes, birds, wild cats, lizards, snakes and much more. It was a lovely day out and would recommend to families with kids.

My partner and I had an incredible two-night stay at Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. We loved exploring the bush tracks and spending time with the animals, all of which are clearly well cared for in such a beautiful natural setting. The facilities are excellent, and the entire experience felt both relaxing and meaningful. The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A special thank you to Talia and Molly for making our stay extra memorable. We would highly recommend Walkabout Wildlife Park to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, as well as to those passionate about wildlife and conservation.

What a little gem! Nestled among the trees, Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary manages to evoke the charm of old school local zoos, but the enclosures are clean and well looked after, so it's the best of both worlds. A great range of native animals, plus a few farmyard creatures and the surprise of a few african animals as well. Of particular note are the free roaming emus and kangaroos, which are everywhere. Also the bush track and Aboriginal sites are fantastic, and there's a few great informational signs about Darkingjung Country, and the traditional owners and native plants and animals of the area too! Do note that it is not a stroller or wheelchair accessible place, as most of the zoo enclosures are accessed by bush tracks and stairs which means little ones will need to be carried. My new favourite animal place!

This place is so underrated. It’s a great establishment with amazing bush walking trails. Wallabies, kangaroos, and emus roam around freely. They’re friendly! We met Gundy the blind wombat who’s friendly and loves people! He’s the cutest and the best. The animals seem to be well taken care of.

Nestled not far from Sydney, this adventure haven offers an array of activities including horse riding through picturesque bushlands, quad biking across rugged terrains, kayaking on serene waters, and camping under the stars. Visitors rave about the friendly staff who are dedicated to ensuring everyone finds their perfect activity match.
Went for a family day out. Did quad biking and went kayaking and watched running of the horses. What a fantastic experience we had. So much fun and the time just flew by. Was guided by Chelsea on quad bikes. She was amazing. Patient with us newbies and so helpful. From the training at the start to the track where we could test ourselves, we had a great time. Kai and Emily, our kayak guides, were brilliant. So patient and helpful with all of us beginners. The waters got very choppy down river, which added to the experience. So much fun was had by all. I want to thank everyone there for showing us a wonderful time and we will definitely be back.

Ive done a few trail rides here over the years and all have been fantastic. Our guide this morning was Amanda along with Poppy on the Palomino. First thing that I recommend is stopping at the lookout, just after the sign to take in the view. My mate and I did the kayak session and had a brilliant time. It was well organised, safe and fun. Our guide was friendly, vigilant, helpful and made the experience interesting and memorable. Really enjoyed ourselves, if you can come down to the valley and get stuck into an adventure. All the organising is taken care i.e. equipment and the guides make you feel comfortable ad confident to particpate in the activities. They also have Scottish Highand cows and emus which is pretty cool. And the coffee is pretty good. This place definatley warrents further exploration.

A special shout-out to Kai, who was incredibly patient and encouraging while guiding my son through his first abseiling experience. He absolutely loved it and said he'll be back to conquer Level 3 next time! Andre made our quad biking adventure exciting and safe, and Emily (Milee) was wonderful during our horse-riding session, making us feel confident and at ease with our horses (Mayo, Bowen and Big Mac). I went quad biking for my birthday. Even though I had never done it before, it was amazing, and I really enjoyed it, thanks to amazing teachers Andre and Yileen. The ride was very fun and challenging, but the best part was the track. There, you can really challenge yourself and push yourself to your limit. Bonus points for the safety measures. My son and I had such an amazing time at the Glenworth Valley Wilderness Adventures. Every staff member we encountered onsite were friendly, helpful and pleasant. Easy check in process, good parking, lots of toilets at different locations and lockers to store things like phone and keys, so very handy. Property was easy to find and very clean. We ventured the kayaking and quad bikes. We had April as our tour guide on both adventures as well as other lovely staff who were great. April is such a people person. Very warm and friendly. She guided us with respect and patience. Clear and concise instructions and directions so we were less likely to capsize from kayak or tip off the quad bike. This meant we were able to have more fun and explore our own abilities safely. It was our first time. April is attentive. She obviously identified that my 13yr old was nervous and lacked confidence when he was tested for the quad bike because she ensured that our team went at a really slow pace when heading to the track and was always observing and guiding him. This gave my son reassurance and confidence by the time we got to the track that by the end he was riding the bike faster and with confidence. It makes a really difference to someone who is there first time and has never attempted that activity before as this just makes the entire experience special, memorable and enticing to return for more fun and adventures!

The whole staff were friendly and welcoming. Especially Yileen and April. The whole quad biking experience was scenic, thrilling and just good fun. This was a gift for my cousin's 50th and he turned into a happy little boy beaming from ear to ear! Our guides, Yileen and April were very professional, while being easy going and funny. The sanctuary offers numerous opportunities for visitors to interact with the animals through keeper-led presentations and photo sessions.
Cannot believe how amazing this place is. From outside it looks quite unassuming so we drove past it numerous times and didn’t visit until now. The animals are so lovely and interactions are simply magical memory. Even the cafe food are nice. Easily had a great relaxing time with animals in a natural setting.

Much better than expected, great value. They have a good range of animals and several places you can pet the animals at no extra cost. Informative keeper talks and you can get up close to almost all the animals. The one star lost is that this place is not disability friendly. The pavement is old and uneven so wheelchairs and anyone unsteady on their feet may have a hard time getting around. The established trees name this place feel like you are in the remote bush with these animals, a great experience.

I had a lovely time, went by myself and stayed ~4 hours. The part that surprised me most was the staff, they were so very human. I've been to many wildlife sanctuaries where the staff are just worker drones, but here EVERY staff member will happily talk. Especially enjoyed the fact that they didn't "pretend to know" things, one lady even told me she wasn't sure of an answer to my question so she wrote it down on a notepad so she could research and know for future reference. I'm so happy to see young, passionate people in fields like this.

Koala Park is an okay place to spend a couple of hours, but it’s not something I’d call a must-visit. The koala show was definitely the best part—the presenter explained everything very clearly and made it easy to understand, which was enjoyable. Apart from that, the park felt quite limited. There weren’t many other animals or activities to keep things exciting, so after the show, there wasn’t much to explore. It’s fine if you’re already in the area and want a short outing, but I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip just for this. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the koala show, but not much beyond that.

The park is well mainitained. The map given at the entrance is bit confusing and seems odd at few locations but one can figure out by proactively walking around. There are nice information session conducted by the staff. There are nice activities for kids. They can feed the kangaroos and pet them. You can buy the food for kangaroos at the entrance. In case you have forgotten, there is ample food available in the kangaroos section. You can use that to feed them. Overall, a good experience.

Amazing place that is extremely underrated. We had a wonderful time feeding the kangaroos, going for a walk with a dingo and taking photos standing next to the koalas. The grounds are neatly kept and the animals well taken care of. Would recommend to anyone showing overseas guests around who would like to have an up close and personal experience with Ausie animals.

Well worth the time to get here, great variety of animals, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Attended the Koala talk which was a great opportunity to get closer to them. You can feed the kangaroos too which was very worth it. Cafe food was nice. Would definitely recommend.

LOVED THIS PLACE! It was so cool to visit. You can see a lot of animals from this region. It’s like a zoo. You were able to feed the kangaroos and goats. I felt bad for the goats because they were neglected compared to the kangaroos as I personally would prefer to feed the kangaroos instead too, but I wanted to give some to the goats as well. It was so cool and fun to feed the kangaroos and they came up to you and ate the food out of your hands. There are also animal shows and you can see the koala bears. They let you get close to the koala bears, but you are not allowed to touch them per the Australia laws. There is also other showings of other animals and a café to eat at if you are hungry. The staff were nice and I was able to get there cheap with public transportation from Bondi Beach. I would definitely go again if I ever got back down to Sydney as it was a very fun experience and as someone said the place is underrated. You can’t expect it to be a nice big zoo and extremely organized, but the price that you pay is worth it if you want to feed the kangaroos and see koala bears and more. I’m so happy that I found this place on the Internet and went to it as it was an experience that I will never forget.

This natural forrest is an awesome local get away in the middle of the suburban sprawl. This picturesque forest, with its peaceful picnic grounds, it also has various bush tracks for a walk through nature. All centres around a charming nursery which has a beautiful setting, specialising in Australian natives and has a variety of rare plants, shrubs and trees. The team are experts, really interested in assisting you with expert advice. There is a cozy café that is right next to the nursery with good coffee. This urban forest, nursery and cafe is a hidden gem that invites visitors to slow down, connect with nature, and find solace in its beauty. Well worth a visit!

Great place in the heart of the hills for a walk amongst nature. There are numerous tracks to walk of varying lengths. Feel the temperature change as they drop down into the lush green coolness along the creeks and streams, shaded by the canopy above. Listen to the Kookaburras as they fly above amongst the trees. There are various picnic areas as well as a Cafe with a great choice of food. There is also a Treetops Adventure area for those who want to get up into the trees.

Beautiful oasis in the suburbs with its' own microclimate and gorgeous canopy. Multiple hiking trails and adequate parking, does get fairly busy on holidays.

Went for a nature’s walk at Cumberland Forest Reserve. A feature of this walk is the tall native trees and Cabbage Tree Palms. As well as cool gullies and ferns there is plenty of birdlife in the forest. Cumberland State Forest is the only urban forest in Australia. Adventure- Tree top adventure, I haven’t tried but do check time and price should you wish on their website Walks - There are 3 main walks , easy to moderate and you can pick any one or more. Parking- You can park at the start of the Reserve or drive to this scenic loop , Plenty of parking places. I parked at the information centre which will be the last car park and close to cafe . Food - Amazing cafe with delicious food and relaxing interior.

What a great place for relaxation. Beautiful maintained BBQ area's. I love the garden centre. And the best part is that you can bring your dog along for the day with the family. (🐕 on leash) Restrooms🚻 could do with extra cleaning. And hand wash should be provided at all restrooms.

Followed gps to find the road it was taking us (Bryant I think) was blocked off so was very frustrating find the place as we have never been before. But once we found where it was it was quite cute. Very cheap plants compared to any other nurseries. Very good quality plants considering the cheapness. Just don't get your soils here as they are twice the price as bunnings for the exact same stuff Very helpful staff were there. Didn't get to try but there is a little Cafe there incase you want to rest your feet after a day's spending.

Serene treed area, you can be apart from the noise & traffic for a while. BBQ areas, lots of 'room's in different areas of the Bush. The cafe is very busy weekends, parking spaces can be hard to find. The nursery has a huge array of plants, lots of natives, staff extremely helpful.

Nestled in the picturesque Hills District of New South Wales, Fagan Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and families alike. This expansive park showcases the enchanting Gardens of Many Nations, where you can wander through eleven themed gardens inspired by diverse cultures such as Japanese, Mediterranean, Dutch, and Chinese. With its sprawling green spaces, Fagan Park offers ample picnic spots complete with BBQ facilities and two fantastic playgrounds that are perfect for children to explore.
Fagan Park is one of the most beautiful and well-kept parks I’ve visited. It’s perfect for a day out with family or friends, with plenty of open space, picnic areas, and walking trails. The themed gardens are absolutely stunning—each section offers something unique, and the attention to detail is impressive. The eco garden is both educational and inspiring, especially for kids. There’s also a fantastic playground that keeps children entertained for hours, and the historic Netherby Homestead adds a lovely cultural touch. The whole park is clean, peaceful, and well-organized, with lots of shaded areas and seating. It’s a great place to relax, explore, or just enjoy nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene escape or a fun family outing—Fagan Park truly has something for everyone

We have always loved this beautiful park... so many gorgeous spaces... nice for a walk, run or just to picnic with friends or lie in the sun... but the recent increase in very large groups, often very noisy and unmonitored, with little regard for others around has soured the experience a little... jmhence the loss of 1 star. Hopefully council can do something to enforce a more peaceful amd respectful conduct to bring the park back to being the beautiful, peaceful relaxing place it has always been!

It is one of the biggest parks i have been to with two playgrounds for the kids and a spacious parking area. Great for BBQ, picnics, strolls, and gatherings. I took my kids' bicycles as there are friendly paths with minor slopes.

There’s plenty of parking, with two car parks, and two playgrounds for kids. We came for a walk and enjoyed the many flowers in bloom. There’s also a very large fenced off-leash dog play area, complete with bin bags and tennis balls provided, which was great to see. Plenty of shaded spots make it ideal for a picnic. There are also ample toilet facilities. Additionally, there are some short bush walks just off the main path—they’re brief but enjoyable.

One of the nicest parks I’ve been to in the city (and outskirts). Calm and expansive with lots of fun little places to check out the different garden sections. I really enjoyed getting to check out the homesteadthe mechanical/tractor shed (pics supplied) and its garden, and then just walking around and reading about all the gardening projects that are being created. Well worth a whole day visit, being along a picknick setup, standard park electric barbecues are available, very kids friendly and just a lovely outing for a day!

Beautiful park, with several shelters for picnic, bbq, and enough parking spots. We visited there over the weekend it was quite crowded but as the park is big, it was ok. There is a nice playground for kids available. Also many ducks in the pond. It is a dog friendly park, also has a small fenced area for dogs at the back.
Somayeh ( — Google review
Lovely large park, with playground for toddlers to bigger kids, plenty of parking (we went at 10.30am on a Saturday). Little farm there too, albeit with no animals. More of a historic farm, but educational nonetheless. Only fee is to park which is a set daily price of (I think) $4.50. There are two entrances, that dont connect via road, but do via walkways, which takes you through world gardens, which is nice and peaceful.

Golden Ridge Animal Farm in Dural, Sydney is a popular destination in the Hills District. It offers an interactive farm experience for children to get close to farm animals such as cows, rabbits, ducks and chickens. Kids can hold baby chicks and ducklings, milk cows and even bottle feed baby lambs. The animals are friendly and tame which makes it a great experience for families looking to keep their little ones entertained.
I took my husband here as a birthday surprise because he loves petting animals, and we had an absolute blast! We got to hold baby chicks, bunnies and ducklings (favourite bit), as well as feed chickens, geese, horses, goats, alpacas, donkeys and sheep. The baby goats were adorable and friendly and there were fun activities to do with your kids if you wanted. Would definitely recommend as an experience!

This is the best place for a family outing. Children especially have fun and have a great time feeding the animals. The staff is very friendly and well organised. Pony rides for the children are a highlight of the farm. We love animals and enjoyed their company. Highly recommended place for children and family.

Such a fun place for a family outing! You are able to feed all the animals, even has a part to go in and pat the babies at no extra cost. They also have pony rides and egg collecting which are fun for little ones! They have some snacks available for purchase but no cafe so bring your own food. My toddler still talks about the farm so we are coming back soon!
Paris G — Google review
The place and experience was great. Wish we could get a chance to milk feed some of the baby animals, it’s only available for particular participants. The area was quite large and had a lot of animals. All animals were friendly and the feed bucket was a good size too. I truly wish they had a staff member monitoring the free zone area near the baby goats and sheep’s. some people, kids and even adults were not treating the animals with care. As the goats tried to escape multiple times the ppl were quite aggressive with them. I also wish they had a more variety of animals too but overall a really fun place even for adults!
Sehreen F — Google review
The children loved this farm experience. It is so interactive that the children weren't even interested in having a snack, which is saying alot for toddlers. You are required to book in advance but it means that there is no wait times and plenty of opportunities to spend time with the animals without feeling crowded. We will definitely go back!

Hidden gem just 30 min away from Sydney CBD. Best farm i have been to hands down. The staff are so nice and cooperative! There’s plenty of animals and different add on activities to do like pony riding and egg collecting and a small sand pit too for kids. There’s even a room full of excavators which is a kids dream. Must go!

Family friendly with a lot of opportunities to pet domesticated farm animals. The kids we very happy. We had a nought time wil all the animals and it took us about 1.5 hours. I think it is reasonably priced for the fun that all of us got out of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
