Transportation
Ferry rides to North Stradbroke island, known for its lakes & beaches, with an on-board cafe.
We decided to do a family trip to Stradbroke as we had never been. Wow, we were so surprised at how big Stradbroke was and how lucky are we in Australia to have some of the most incredible beaches. We took our car over and booking on Sealink was so easy and the staff were all so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend heading over to Stradbroke!

Great trip to Straddie. Staff are always friendly and happy, onboard cafe is great. Captain pointed out whales both on the trip out and on the way back, close enough that you could hear them blowing when they came up for air. I always go as a walk-on on the vehicle ferry as it takes longer than the passenger ferry.
Neon B — Google review
I was a bit nervious about driving onto the barge at Cleveland in my my campervan. The team on Sealink were super helpfull and friendly and nothing was a problem. What a day it was. Beautifull one day perfect the next.

Very reliable and enjoyable return trip to Nth Stadbroke Island. The staff are friendly and accommodating as we had to change our booking at the last minute which was easy as a phone call. Thanks for the whales.

Once getting on board head up to the cafe, if sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls, coffees or a sneaky little pre-arrival beverage is your choice, Sealink offers a variety of food and beverage options, plenty of comfortable seating, and a welcoming space that makes you feel relaxed. Enjoy the spectacular views too!

Kirra Hill Lookout, perched atop Kirra Hill, offers an unparalleled view of Queensland's coastline. From Stradbroke Island to Burleigh Heads and beyond, visitors can enjoy panoramic vistas of the region's idyllic coastal sights. The lookout provides a perfect setting for sipping wine or enjoying a picnic dinner while taking in the breathtaking views. It is considered one of the best vantage points on the Gold Coast, offering stunning views of the skyline and beautiful coastline.
It’s such a great lookout that has barbecue zone with shades and the panoramic and grandiose view of the continuous beach, ocean, hills, and buildings. However, the way up to the hilltop is steep but not quite. Overall, definitely a must visit for the tourists who come to the Gold Coast. You can come here by light rail to Broadbeach South and transfer for 700 bus to disembark at the nearest bus stop.

Such an amazing vantage point to admire the Sunset... Clear beach view from the top with amazing Sunset hues colouring the sky.. Spent 2 hours here just taking it all in... One of the best and most under rated places in Gold Coast for sure..
Manar L — Google review
Breathtaking views! There's no need to climb it as you can drive right up there.
Andreas V — Google review
This lookout has got to be the best place to sit and cast your eyes out over the ocean!! Absolutely stunning. I was only meant to stay for a quick pit stop to sooth a bit if anxiety but I stayed the whole day!!! There were whales to top it off. Looked around town. Great vibe. Left feeling 100% grounded ❤️👌💜

Beautiful lookout!! One of my favourites I’ve been to in a long time. Facilities are great also. Free telescope, bbq’s, water tap & fountain and also a hot water tap, along with picnic tables and benches. Free parking was minimal but I didn’t notice any further restrictions for timings etc.

Lovely Kirra beach, views are worth a look, take your Camera.

This place is open to the public with no tickets required, feel free to bring your family and friends here to enjoy the sunrise and sunset moments together. It also has a BBQ facility, you might need to book in advance.

Sea World

Theme park
Zoos & Aquariums
Sea World is an oceanographic theme park that offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. Guests can watch polar bears at Polar Bear Shores, observe tropical fish and sharks in the world's largest man-made shark lagoon, and even touch rays at Ray Reef. The park also features entertaining seal presentations and live dolphin shows.
This location seems to be an excellent choice for families, providing a range of attractions such as rides, seal and dolphin shows, stingray encounters, and numerous complimentary activities. Although certain experiences necessitate payment, the admission cost allows for an enjoyable visit even with the free offerings. For families, bringing your own beverages and snacks could potentially lead to significant savings. You need to go early for the car park It is highly recommended.

I had an amazing time with the kids, watching their faces light up as they saw dolphins perform for the first time. My kids were full of excitement exploring the penguin exhibit and learning about marine life in a fun, hands-on way. The kids were thrilled to interact so closely with the animals. The rides and shows kept everyone engaged, creating a perfect mix of adventure and education. It was a joyful and memorable day, filled with laughter, learning, and shared moments of wonder by the sea.
Karma D — Google review
We had a really good time at Sea World! The park is clean, well maintained, and easy to get around. The seal and dolphin shows were definitely the highlight entertaining, informative, and beautifully done. It was lovely to see how well the animals are cared for. The only downside was the food options there were very limited vegan and vegetarian choices, which made it a bit tricky to find something suitable for lunch. Hopefully, they can expand their plant-based menu in the future. Overall, a great experience for families and anyone who enjoys marine life and fun shows!
Sanjula — Google review
Spent the day at SeaWorld recently, and enjoyed it. Liked all the shows, especially the dolphin one! Was grateful that they had a proper sit-down restaurant that served health food. My husband and I both had the bowl each. which was as delicious as it was nutritious 😋 We were disappointed with the water ski show though. Gone were the impressive multi-acrobatic moves. All we saw this time was a show between two rival gangs and some boring stunts. We also did the helicopter ride. The 10 minute deal is the best in my opinion. The pilot was very informative; he doubled up as the tour guide Overall SeaWorld was a great experience 😃
Katy G — Google review
Had the best time at Sea World! Every ride was so much fun and well worth the wait. Loved the dolphin shows they were amazing! The place was clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. Truly one of the best theme parks I’ve been to. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast!
Manjil P — Google review
Sea World is truly one of our favourite family destinations on the Gold Coast! We had an unforgettable day filled with fun, learning, and amazing marine life encounters. The dolphin and seal presentations were absolutely incredible, such talented animals and dedicated trainers! The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and easy to get around. There’s a great mix of attractions for both kids and adults — from the exciting rides to the relaxing lagoon areas. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure everyone felt welcome and safe. It’s the perfect place to create lasting memories with the family. We can’t wait to come back again soon!
Elaine B — Google review
Love it there. So many things to try although some places are not open. Like Atlantis ride and Donatello ride. I have to say, baby Penguins are the cutest around haha. When you get to lunch watch out for Seagulls. Yes!.. theyll snatch your food in a instant There are sharks too, they did a wonderful job in conservation as well. Hate to say it but I got on Bikini bottom rides - Patrick the starfish, School bus because to me that is the safest ride. Have a peak at your theme park pass app they will tell you exactly the time for each performance. It does make you trip there memorable.
Maurice L — Google review
Sea World on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for families with kids. It’s incredibly family-friendly, and there’s something fun for everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole park feels safe and well-managed. The dolphin show and stunt performances were absolutely unforgettable – both entertaining and impressive! Every attraction we tried was fun and engaging, from the animal exhibits to the rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day with your family. Highly recommended!

Surfers Paradise Beach

Mentioned on
59 lists
Beach
Nature & Parks
Surfers Paradise Beach is a legendary surfing spot located on the Gold Coast, offering a beautiful sandy beach against the backdrop of a vibrant city with entertainment and shops. While it may not offer the best surfing conditions compared to other nearby alternatives, its proximity to main attractions, theme parks, accommodations, nightlife, and entertainment make it incredibly popular and crowded year-round. The beach's convenient location near numerous restaurants, shopping outlets, and resorts compensates for its lack of big waves.
This place is truly one of those spots you could visit every day and never get tired of. There are so many great places to eat nearby, and just walking around the area is a visual delight. As someone who loves watching sunsets, I honestly think this spot offers one of the best views. The waves and the sky look different every single day — it is the perfect place to soak in the beauty of nature. There are so many great photo spots, and it is also a place where you could just sit for hours and enjoy the view. The long stretch of smooth pavement along the beach makes it ideal for roller skating, which I personally love. There are also clean showers and restrooms placed at regular intervals, which makes it even more convenient. If you ever visit the Gold Coast, this is definitely a must-see destination!
Happy Z — Google review
Golden sand, rolling waves, and a skyline that makes every selfie look premium. This is the Gold Coast’s iconic playground — sunrise chills, daytime surf, and nighttime buzz all in one strip. It does get busy (like, festival-crowded on weekends), but that’s part of the energy. Stick between the flags, grab a coffee, and enjoy that perfect mix of beach life + city vibe.
Ruchit P — Google review
Surfers Paradise Beach continues to live up to its name — a true slice of coastal beauty that still shines, even after the recent tsunami event. We visited just a few weeks ago, curious (and slightly concerned) about how the beach would be, but honestly, it’s holding its charm and energy better than expected. The beach is clean, wide, and absolutely stunning. Golden sands stretch endlessly, and the turquoise-blue waves are as inviting as ever. Lifeguards are stationed frequently along the shore, which gives a good sense of safety for families and tourists alike. Despite the natural event that hit earlier in the year, the beach has bounced back impressively — there’s a sense of resilience and calm that’s comforting to see. The vibe is still alive and well. Surfers are out catching waves, kids are building sandcastles, and couples are strolling along the shore at sunset. That warm, buzzing atmosphere that makes Surfers Paradise so iconic hasn’t faded. Locals and visitors have returned, and it feels like a beautiful community coming back to life. We noticed some parts of the beach that still show signs of the tsunami’s impact — slightly reshaped sand dunes and fewer seating spots in some areas — but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The city has done a great job keeping it maintained and welcoming. What we loved most was the accessibility. You’re steps away from cafes, shops, and restaurants, so it’s easy to grab a drink or bite and head right back to the water. Sunrise and sunset walks are magical here, especially with the skyline rising just behind you. Nature can test even the most iconic places, but Surfers Paradise Beach has held its ground with grace. It’s still one of the most beautiful and enjoyable beaches in Australia — peaceful, vibrant, and deeply refreshing. Whether you’re here to swim, surf, or simply soak up the sun, this beach remains a must-visit. It’s a symbol of strength and beauty that continues to welcome all with open arms.
Siddhartha M — Google review
“Surfers Paradise Beach is absolutely stunning and a must-visit on the Gold Coast. The golden sand stretches for miles, always clean and well maintained, with plenty of space whether you want to swim, walk, or just relax in the sun. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming or surfing, with lifeguards on duty and flagged areas for safety. The location is unbeatable – right next to Cavill Ave, so you’re only a short walk to shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are great facilities nearby including showers, toilets, and shaded areas, and it’s beautiful both day and night. Sunrise and sunset here are incredible, and the vibe is always welcoming, whether it’s families, tourists, or locals enjoying the coast. Perfect for a beach day, a morning jog, or just sitting back and taking in the view. Definitely one of the highlights of the Gold Coast.
William M — Google review
My favorite spot on the Gold Coast! ☀️ The beach is gorgeous, the vibe is electric, and there’s always something going on. Came for the sand and surf, but ended up spotting a whale just offshore — total magic. 🐋 Will never forget it!
Sara — Google review
Surfers Paradise is a must-visit destination when you're exploring the Gold Coast, just a short drive from Brisbane. The journey itself is a treat, with coastal roads offering stunning views of the ocean and long stretches of golden sand. Once you arrive, the vibrant atmosphere of Surfers Paradise welcomes you with its mix of beachside charm and urban energy. The area is packed with cafés, restaurants, boutique shops, and hotels, all nestled along the ocean-facing commercial district. The beach itself is iconic—clear blue waters, soft golden sands, and a skyline that blends nature with modern architecture. Whether you're sipping a coffee by the shore, taking a leisurely stroll along the esplanade, or diving into the waves, the experience is both relaxing and invigorating. It’s a place where you can unwind or dive into adventure, depending on your mood. If you're planning a visit, it's best to go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and crowds. The beach is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, offering perfect lighting for photos and a peaceful ambiance. Be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable shoes, especially if you plan to explore beyond the beach. There are plenty of dining options, from casual beachfront cafés to upscale restaurants, many with stunning ocean views. Parking can be a bit challenging, especially during weekends and holidays. There are several paid parking facilities nearby, such as Bruce Bishop Car Park and Cypress Avenue Car Park, which are both centrally located and within walking distance of the beach. Street parking is available but limited, so it’s important to check signage for time restrictions and fees. Using parking apps like EasyPark or PayStay can help you find available spots and manage payments more easily. Surfers Paradise offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and lively culture, making it an ideal spot for beach lovers, families, and anyone looking to enjoy the best of the Gold Coast.

I love traveling, but I think this was the most beautiful sea I’ve seen so far. It was so transparent, clean, and blue—and not too deep, so everyone could enjoy it. I don’t know how to swim, but it was perfect just to dip my feet in. The sand was sooo soft, you wouldn’t even want to wear shoes.

Zoos & Aquariums
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular Australian wildlife adventure located on over 25 hectares of natural eucalypt and rainforest. The sanctuary offers a chance to interact with native birds, marsupials, and reptiles, including hand-feeding wild lorikeets and kangaroos. Visitors can also walk a wombat, meet a dingo, or cuddle a koala.
The most amazing place, a must visit if you are in the area. We travelled from surfers paradise, easy to get to from broadbeach on the 700 bus which stops closeby to the sanctuary. The place is very well kept and spacious and so much to explore, paid $50 per ticket as there was an offer on the official website (usually $70). So many beautiful animals to see and the staff were great, telling us about the animals and went out of their way to take us to find a baby kangaroo as I asked if there were any around. Had the best day here 🐨
Bethan R — Google review
We had such a wonderful time at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary! The lorikeet feeding was absolutely amazing such a joyful and colourful experience. The free flight bird show was another highlight it was incredible to watch these beautiful birds soar gracefully above the audience and see them up close. We also had the chance to see and take photos with a python, kangaroo and koala up close was both exciting and memorable. The wildlife talks were engaging and informative, and the Aboriginal culture show was beautifully presented and full of meaning. The only downside was the limited vegan food options at the cafés, so it would be great to see a bit more variety in the future. Overall, a fantastic place to visit for all ages educational, fun, and full of opportunities to connect with nature and animals up close!
Sanjula — Google review
Great place for a visit when in the area. Beautiful grounds and habitat for the well cared for animals. Lots of work to do with conservation comes from here they deserve a lot of credit. Mini trains to cart you around once you have had enough walking. Cafe food was fairly good. Staff were all friendly and seemed like they really enjoy what they do. Lots of different activities can be arranged if you visit , up close and personal with different animals can be organised. Highly recommend coming here.
Albany Y — Google review
Fabulous experience as always here. This was my third time visiting the sanctuary with some of our friends visiting from Europe. With so much to see and do here I suggest newcomers set aside roughly 5 hours to see everything the park has on offer. From visiting the reptile enclosure, to patting the kangaroos and getting up close with the koalas. There's something for everyone here. The day is well planned out on the map with several key shows in the afternoon including the wild bird display, aboriginal performance group & finishing up with lorikeet feeding right before closing time. Right now parking is also free across the road. Highly recommend to everyone ❤️
Tomi M — Google review
Tickets were expensive but worth it for the NFP and animals. The animals were well cared for and their enclosures were spacious. Happy to see all animals have access to a no people/viewing area. The free bird show was breathtaking. Only wish there were more trains/directions of said train, more drink refill stations, and clearer signage.
Alex Q — Google review
Great place. Loved the wild lizards. The bird show was wonderful. The train was a highlight. Feeding the lorikeets was also a favourite. I have to thank the staff who helped tremendously when my autistic son had a meltdown and put himself in danger. They were exceptional, compassionate and understanding. While we had to leave abruptly because he wasn't coping, we left feeling like it was a wonderful experience and we definitely would come back.
Frances S — Google review
An amazing wildlife sanctuary. Super friendly staff, loved the lorikeets and kangaroos. You’re allowed to feed both and pet the kangaroos! Had an echidna encounter with a very informative staff member, it was awesome. So much to see and do here. Recommend to anyone who’s coming to see the Gold Coast. Buy tickets before and show up 30 minutes early (8:30am) for the lorikeet feeding, make sure to put in a donation for their efforts and all the animals!
Brodie B — Google review
Perfect place for families with young kids. Lots of activities including shows, animals, play equipment, even a miniature train Ryde through the park. Id recommend bringing your own food if you want something other than the typical fried food and icecream.

You made my birthday extra special. We were upgraded from a low level to the highest level with a view. The suite was Fantastic!!! The valet on arrival was wonderful, check in was quick. Buffet breakfasts at Harvest were good. Highly recommend “uncle Su’ restaurant. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. Thankyou so very much for an amazing weekend 👍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed one night at this hotel and absolutely loved it! Our room had a stunning river view — so beautiful and relaxing. The room service was excellent, and the whole hotel had a very elegant and pleasant atmosphere. The pool, with its warm water and amazing view, was a highlight of our stay. Everything felt truly luxurious. I was very satisfied with our experience and will definitely choose The Star hotels again in the future!

We had a great stay at The Star Hotel. The place was very clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. Although the hotel is located above the casino, we didn’t hear any noise at all — we stayed on the 12th floor and it was perfectly quiet. The location is excellent, close to shopping centres, many great restaurants, and lovely cafés. Overall, it was a very good experience. Many thanks to the hotel management and all the staff for their great service.

Lovely clean room with a good view and all facilities. We stayed here as that was the meeting place at 3:30 am for our balloon flight! Made the early rise easier! Delicious breakfast in restaurant after the flight... What a wonderful experience.
Marilyn W — Google review
Loved our stay at The Star celebrating our wedding anniversary in September. Check in was easy and smooth and got straight in. We figured it would be a little busy so did get there a little later but glad we didnt have to wait in line to check in. Valet was great and provided us with a secure parking space at the bottom of the hotel as our vehicle was too high. It has a code entry so felt happy knowing the car was in undercover parking. Initially we weren't sure how to get back up through the elevators but eventually figured it out. It was a little adventure! :) The staff were really helpful throughout our stay and even surprised us with a beautiful bottle of bubbles and card to celebrate, it was so throughtful! The food was amazing at Nineteen. We had the steak and duck and could not fault it. The location was perfect with the beach a short walk and lots of dining options available in The Star and nearby. We were there on the Starcation package and the inclusions were perfect for a couple.
Rowan G — Google review
Hotel rooms were nice, needed a few touchups with paint, lighting a bit dim. Great views. Buffet breakfast food was nice but not clear what you could order. Or where to stand, a bit chaotic. Had to pay for cafe coffees that weren't from the self serve machines. Dinner at the garden restaurant was average, waiter was nice and apologized for undercooked potatoes. Pool area should have drinks waiters, you had to go to up to an area to order a drink, then take a number and wait for it to come from a different area of the hotel.
Christina A — Google review
It’s honestly just like a 3-star hotel! The only good thing about it is that the casino is accessible. The service and rooms are really poor quality. You could clearly hear noise from the neighboring rooms. In the bathroom, there was only one of each item shampoo, body wash, and conditioner , that’s it! It was ridiculous! We even had to pay $4 for a small bottle of water, and the TV only gives access to its own app. Overall, it was not a good experience!
Mohammad ( — Google review
Appalling Service and Two Sleepless Nights — Unacceptable Treatment Our stay at The Star Gold Coast was extremely disappointing. For two nights, the air conditioning in our room rattled loudly, making it impossible to sleep. We reported the issue after the first night, and staff assured us it had been fixed, even offering a $50 room credit as compensation. The next night, however, the noise started again. When we called down to reception, we spoke with an overnight manager who was unhelpful and dismissive. Not once did she apologise. She told us we have already been offered a $50 credit. (Mind you that doesn’t even cover 5% of our accommodation fee) We were offered to move all of our belongings to a downgraded room. Being heavily pregnant and having pain and tired at 11pm, that unfortunately wasn’t an option for us. Or we got told if we’re unhappy with how we were being spoke to, we could check out at 11 pm, a completely unreasonable suggestion. The following morning, we spoke with Margaret at the front office supervisor, hoping for a proper resolution or at least some empathy. Unfortunately, Margaret offered no compensation, no apology, and no concern for what we had been through. Instead told me that our notes offered us a room change the previous morning, which definitely was not the case, as we were told it was all fixed? Otherwise 100% we would have moved rooms. For a hotel that promotes itself as five-star, this experience was completely unacceptable. The combination of a faulty air conditioner, dismissive overnight management, and Margaret’s lack of care or accountability has left a lasting negative impression. We won’t be returning and strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

One of the most magical sunset spots on the Coast! Burleigh Beach is such a beautiful place to be, especially at sunset. The view is amazing, with golden light over the ocean and the Surfers Paradise skyline in the distance. It’s a great spot for a picnic, a walk along the beach, or just to sit and take in the scenery. The mix of beach, park, and headland gives it a really special feel.

Awesome beach. It can get a little crowded at times, but it’s a great spot to spend the whole day. Perfect for surfing too.

Morning walks are just what the soul needs, sun, salty air and water! Always beautiful at any point of Burleigh beach!

There is incredibly fine sand. The ocean was very wavy, which was good news for surfing, but disappointing for those who came to swim. Parking and Toilets are located right at the entrance. It is a beach where you can have a great time.

Burleigh Beach on the Gold Coast is an incredible destination with beautiful views, especially during sunset. The beach is a great spot for surfing, with perfect waves for all levels. Families will love the playground nearby, providing fun for kids while adults relax. The ocean views are stunning, creating a serene atmosphere for everyone. Plus, the area is surrounded by fantastic restaurants, making it easy to grab a delicious meal after a day at the beach. Burleigh Beach truly offers something for everyone.

Sirromet Winery, a family-run establishment, is a popular destination in Brisbane offering tours, tastings, events, and a Tuscan restaurant with outdoor seating. It's known for its picturesque setting with rolling green pastures and live music events. Visitors can enjoy picnics on the lavender hill, take winery tours, or savor Tuscan-style lunches on the terrace.
A Perfect Family Day at Sirromet Winery Sirromet. Winery is an absolute gem! The setup is stunning with panoramic views and a relaxing atmosphere. We dined at the Tuscany Terrace and everything from the antipasto to the lasagna was delicious. The starters and sides paired perfectly with the red Shiraz we ordered. After our meal, we took a walk through the beautiful grounds and spotted several wallabies and even a few joeys — such a treat for the kids! It’s a fantastic spot for a family outing or gathering. Great food, great wine, and a truly memorable experience. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

This review is for the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience. The experience was wonderful and I had a lovely evening. The sound effects and visual were great and the experience did feel magical. My only let down was the pricing. The experience was very expensive, which didn’t even include increased pricing on weekends, the parking at the venue, and the food/merchandise at the event. I went alone, but even on a comfortable income would have had a hard time taking a small family to the event, as the cost was just so high. I think it could be made more affordable so that it could be more accessible to young families. For example, a cup of butterbeer (soft drink) in a Harry Potter plastic novelty cup was $25. The drink without the cup was $12. This was unnecessarily expensive for the cup of soft drink and the novelty cup, which parents may want to treat their kids to.

Sirromet is absolutely stunning – the location and atmosphere are second to none. The wine tasting was the real highlight: informative, well-organised, and the wines themselves were excellent. The food, however, was just average. Dishes were okay but nothing memorable, some lacked seasoning and overall didn’t live up to the standard set by the wines or the setting. Service was polite, but the 3 course lunch experience felt underwhelming given the reputation. Worth visiting for the wines and the views, but I wouldn’t come here just for the foods.

Beautiful location and facilities. The stay and dine tour was great value. The tour was basic but enjoyable and nice to try the varieties. The accommodation and grounds were great. Surrounded by local flora and fauna. However, the dinner and breakfast were a bit underwhelming considering the calibre of the venue. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and would recommend it, especially the package.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here yesterday — our first time dining at Tucan Terrance . The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff provided excellent service, definitely full marks from us. We tried the fish of the day and the lamb shoulder. While the flavors weren’t particularly remarkable, the dishes were still tasty and enjoyable. A small suggestion: the lamb shoulder could come with a few more vegetables on the side. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

Disappointing Stay at Sirromet Winery – Poor Service and Lack of Hospitality My stay at Sirromet Winery yesterday was, unfortunately, a frustrating and disappointing experience, marred by consistently poor service and a lack of basic hospitality across multiple touchpoints. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were unhelpful and unwelcoming. Checking in felt like an inconvenience to them, with no effort made to provide basic information about the property. Instead of being offered guidance on facilities, we were left to fend for ourselves, as were other guests who appeared equally lost. This lack of direction set a poor tone for the stay. The service issues continued at the restaurant. When attempting to make a dinner reservation, we were curtly told it was "full," only for a table to magically become available after we mentioned we were staying on-site. This reluctance to accommodate guests was frustrating and made us feel like an afterthought. The cellar door experience was equally disappointing. During a wine tasting, we were provided with dusty glasses, one of which had a chipped rim. After pointing this out, the wine had to be re-poured, likely due to contamination from a polishing cloth. Additionally, when asked to choose a drinking cup, we found every cup in the tray was dirty, which we had to demonstrate to the disinterested staff. After a long day we went to bed, the rooms are pretty good and clean, however the noise from the event next door kept going past 10pm, and finally they turned of the loud speakers at 10:50pm. Another thing that would of been nice to know from staff, hey guys just so you know expect it to be super loud up till almost 11. At least we would be expecting it. At breakfast, the wrong food was delivered, forcing one of us to wait while the other ate, further highlighting the staff’s inattention to detail. Basic customer service was nonexistent across the board. Simple requests felt like pulling teeth, and the staff’s attitude suggested guests were an inconvenience. While a large event (Harry Potter) was happening, this did not excuse the failure to deliver on standard hospitality expectations, such as clean glassware, accurate food orders, or clear communication. For a venue marketed as a premium getaway, Sirromet fell short in every way. We witnessed at least four occasions where different people stopped their cars, rolled down their windows, and asked us for directions to reception or parking. A group of about 15 people was seen wandering aimlessly down the road past the sanctuary until Harry Potter event security directed them toward the winery. Seeing others struggle with the same lack of assistance amplified the poor vibe. Good luck getting return customers, as the customer service culture at this winery is far from what it should be. Does Sirromet have any staff to coordinate events or manage busy times? If there was someone at the property entrance with a smile, offering basic information or guiding guests, perhaps even an information desk, our perspective on the stay might have been different, as the grounds and product are quite nice—just badly managed and coordinated. If you’re staying here for the first time, especially during a busy period, expect to spend a few extra hours wandering aimlessly to figure the place out, as staff assistance is virtually nonexistent.

We had a Stay and Dine experience which included the wine tour and tasting, dinner, accommodation and breakfast. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful, including staff, food and facilities. A beautiful place to stay for a special occasion or just to get back to nature.
Cathy H — Google review
Visited this winery today with friends. The setting is absolutely beautiful, especially on a sunny day like today — the views and overall atmosphere were lovely and relaxing. However, we were a bit let down by the lack of warmth and hospitality from the staff. It didn’t feel as welcoming as we had hoped, which took away from the overall experience a bit. We did the $35 wine tasting tour, which was okay — not amazing, but fair for the price. A few of the wines were enjoyable, though nothing really stood out. All in all, it’s a pretty place to spend some time, but we were expecting a bit more in terms of service and overall experience.

Loved our trip to Dreamworld. The rides were fantastic. The way the park was layed out was excellent. Really enjoyed the animal section and the tiger tunnel that goes above your head it was really fantastic. My son loved going on his first roller coaster ride here. I can't wait to come back and visit again. Highly recommend this amazing park to everyone. The staff were superb friendly as well.

Family day to Dreamworld and White Water World. Lines were ok, not the busiest time of the year to go. Was still warm. More airflow/fans/cooling Required for ride lines. Clean amenities. Good/drink lines were average wait times in busy time slots. We didn’t eat food there only Drinks in refillable cups. White Water World is great for a Cool off after a busy day on the rides and walking around.

Dreamworld is a solid theme park with a good mix of rides and attractions. Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but definitely an enjoyable day out. The major rides are fun and well-run, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone entertained. Staff were friendly and the park was clean and easy to navigate. Overall, a good experience and worth visiting, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed theme park day with a few standout rides.

Just wow, What a wonderful experience. 🙏🏻❤️ My partner and I had such a blast. We are travellers from Victoria so not a big venture but one of all the same, I’ve been dreaming of coming here since I was a kid and the dream finally came true. A beautiful dream it was and a beautiful time we had! Through out the whole day we ventured through almost everything! We will be back!!! Given the fact that we messed around a lot it was still jam packed with so much. From the steel taipan roller coaster which was completely jaw dropping and left us shaking, to the wild life area where we tip toed around the massive crocodiles and beautiful birds. It’s funny as we walked around I was tranced on the fact that I could imagine how much I would have loved it there when I was younger. There’s a variety of different activities for all different ages and everything is so welcoming. I’ll be sure to bring little ones along with us next time to share this experience. The foods quick and easy, the price of goods is fair with the way the economy is today as well. As for wait times, there weren’t really any? But, when there was I can’t complain about it as it paid off and was well worth waiting. Thank you dream world 🙏🏻❤️we loved every second of being here!

It's been several years since my last visit, no issues with rides being under maintenance, however, we just seemed to get bored quickly and didn't spend the full day. Still good for little kids. I just remember there being more to do in the past for teens/adults and maybe that's why the queues were long, even in off peak. Glad we got heavily discounted tix. New restaurant was good. Despite all this, was a less frustrating experience than Movieworld (where almost everything was experiencing technical issues at least once or twice through the day).

I feel so lucky that I jumped on the amazing Locals annual pass deal! My daughter and I love all the offerings at Dreamworld. After spending 2 season passes at Village, everything is so refreshing at Dreamworld, and it's all conveniently in (essentially) one park!

Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast is an expansive water park located just 1km from Movie World theme park, making it convenient to visit both attractions in one day. The park offers a variety of thrill rides, a wave pool, concessions, and a surf shop. It's perfect for families or groups of friends looking for fun activities.
It was a truly delightful experience. The weather was ideal, and the atmosphere was exceptionally pleasant. It wasn't overly crowded, allowing us to fully enjoy each slide. We thoroughly enjoyed all the slides, the hot tub, and even the area designed for the younger ones, which was perfect. While some slides were closed for maintenance, there were still plenty to enjoy.

The pros: Vigilant lifeguards, plenty of lockers ($12 all day hire), lots of seating, clean bathrooms, and sufficient rides and water experiences for all ages. Wait times were not long for rides but we were there on a weekday and it wasn’t school holidays. The food was also better than expected - We really enjoyed our burgers. The cons: On the day we went, 3 rides were closed for maintenance (including one which was unplanned). While we were fortunate to be able to return a couple of days later to go on the last ride we wanted, it’s something to bear in mind if you have your heart set on something. I was grateful customer service was able to tell me when the unplanned maintenance might end.

We had an amazing time at Wet’n’Wild! The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The park was clean, well-organized, and full of fun rides for all ages. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the water slides and wave pool, pure joy all day! There were plenty of shaded spots to relax, friendly staff everywhere, and food outlets offering great options to refuel between rides. Safety was clearly a top priority, which made the experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. It’s the perfect place for families, friends, or anyone looking to beat the heat and have a day full of excitement. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Great place for kids & adults alike. Tge wave pool is great fun for young ones and the less adventurous. Plenty of seating in shade when not busy. Beware the scrub turkeys jumping from seat to seat, pooping on cabanas!

great park with lots to do, the lines were pretty long for a weekday. there were a few people blatantly skipping lines, and some groups would have one person waiting in the single rider line while they hide around the corner, and getting the rest of their group to join to skip the lines when it’s the person’s turn. i wish the crew would keep more of an eye out for this as it makes the long queues intolerable

Warner Bros. Movie World is a film-themed amusement park that offers an exhilarating experience for visitors of all ages. The park features thrilling rides, including the DC Rivals HyperCoaster, as well as live stunt shows such as the Hollywood Stunt Driver show. Families can meet their favorite characters from movies and cartoons, with opportunities to interact with superheroes and stars during daily parades.
Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast is a place that instantly brings out your inner child. From the nostalgic charm of classics like The Wizard of Oz to the thrill of seeing DC superheroes come to life, it’s an adventure that blends excitement, fun, and imagination all in one. The park is full of energy, with plenty to explore, and every corner feels like stepping into a scene from a movie. The roller coasters are the highlight for thrill-seekers. Some of the rides feature heart-stopping vertical drops, high-speed twists, and spins that leave you breathless and exhilarated. The Joker’s coaster, in particular, is an unforgettable adrenaline rush — easily one of the best rides if you love pure thrills. It’s the kind of ride that makes you want to go back just for another round. Beyond the rides, the park has plenty of charm and souvenirs worth taking home. My wife picked up a beautiful charm bracelet featuring beloved characters, and it’s one of those keepsakes that captures the magic of the visit perfectly. For those planning a trip, the 5-day pass is highly recommended. It gives access to other attractions like Sea World and Wet’n’Wild, allowing you to take your time and enjoy multiple adventures. Overall, the experience is simply magical — a perfect mix of childhood nostalgia and high-octane fun. 🎢✨

It’s Movie World, what more can I say. Well… for those wishing to read on… it’s a brilliant place. To get my only major ‘knock’ out of the way, it’s the lines. They’re a pain in the …., especially when you have young kids waiting. But hey, it’s Movie World. Several rides were closed which was a shame so helpful tip - download the App before attending and it’ll tell you which rides are offline and what each rides wait time is. Very handy. We took our own food to save some $$$ however from what we saw it was reasonably priced. Sincehaving attending in previous years, the overall place does seem to have lost a little of its vibe. Not as many people / characters dressed up, some shops and displays closed, and the usually fantastic street parade was a little lacklustre compared to other times we’ve seen it. With that all said, overall, awesome day out!
Corrie B — Google review
We had a fantastic day at Movie World! The rides were exciting and so much fun absolutely loved DC roller coaster 🎢 . The Hollywood Stunt Driver show was an absolute highlight, full of energy and impressive action. The character parade added a nice touch to the experience too. The only downside was the limited vegan and vegetarian food options, which made it a bit hard to find suitable meals during the day. Hopefully, they’ll add more variety in the future. Overall, it’s a great day out filled with fun rides, shows, and entertainment!
Sanjula — Google review
Must visit if you are in Gold Coast. There are rides for every age. Driving school is my kids favourite. We were there during non-school holidays. Even that, the waiting times for the popular rides were averagely around 30mins. Can't imagine how it would be during the school holidays. Maybe it's worth getting the fast track pass at $121 to speed things up. But be aware, you can only use it ONCE per ride. At least you get to decide which ride you wanna spend time queueing up again for a second round. I don't think you can possibly finish trying all the rides in a day without the fast pass. It can get really sunny during the queueing up. If you don't wanna get sunburn or tanned, prepare some UV protection - UV parka etc. Wild West Falls Adventure Ride should be improved to have shelves for riders to keep their bulky belonging prior to the ride. We were required to carry everything along. I was so worried that my belongings would fly out from my handbag! The most thrilling ride is the DC Rivals. Seriously the best rollercoaster ride I've ever had! Green lantern is awesome too. We had a blast! Thanks for the fun!
Amber M — Google review
There’s something surreal about walking down a street and suddenly crossing paths with Superman, Marilyn Monroe, or Joker. It’s like stepping right into the movies, and it adds so much energy to the day. The characters aren’t just for kids—they make the whole park feel alive, and I’ll admit I couldn’t resist stopping for photos. Of course, the rides are every bit as unforgettable. The DC Rivals HyperCoaster is the crown jewel—tall, fast, and absolutely relentless. The first drop had my stomach in my throat, but by the time I got off I was grinning ear to ear. The Superman Escape and other thrill rides keep the adrenaline going, so you’ve always got something to look forward to between character encounters. Movie World is the rare kind of theme park that balances high-energy thrills with Hollywood magic. For me, it was the perfect mix—racing down roller coasters one minute, then running into Superman the next. If you’re after big rides and a bit of movie magic, this place delivers both in spades.

This location offers an excellent visitor experience, featuring impressive production sets and exhilarating rides. The motor stunts are a particular highlight, providing an authentic portrayal of a scripted stunt narrative. While the overall experience was positive, it did not surpass Universal Studios Singapore.

Fantastic day out. Facilities and assistance for people with disabilities is excellent. Make sure to go to guest services for all the information. The parade was a bit disappointing. Needs more glitz, glamor and more excitement. It was very short. Overall, our family had a wonderful time.

Beautiful area! Within walking distance to the CBD and botanical gardens. Beautiful outlook over the river, with boats moored in front and Kangaroo Points cliffs towering up on the other side. The high rise architectural design here is phenominal. There are walking and bike tracks all along the river. The cafes here cater to the high class consumer with a diverse range of cultural gastronomy on offer (i.e.; latin, asian, western cuisine etc and coffee). Unfortunately the area lacks options for those on a lower budget. Otherwise it is a very pituresque area, well worth investigating!

With a remarkable 1100m international standard track, both kids and adults can experience the rush of speed in a safe environment. Kingston Park Raceway isn't just about racing; it's also an ideal spot for birthday parties or group events.
Been here a couple of times, it's actually one of my son's favourite places to go! Their customer service is always top-notch. Sometimes you will find others on the track can be a bit rude, (banging into you or cutting you off) which is something to be aware of. Staff are super on-top of it though which is fantastic. It can be on the pricier side, but it is well worth the price, experience wise. We will be back!

Beds oh my goodness like sleeping on air. l will be buying some of the bedding, so soft, tremendous. Cleaning brilliant & very quick. 100% recommend.

Highlight: Beds are SO comfortable. Great location in the city. It’s a very old building, which on one hand is beautiful but on the other hand has some issues. Example: 2 of the 3 elevators were down during my stay. Example: some of the windows don’t open. The parking is unfortunately a huge hassle and pretty long walk (since the elevator is down). Their parking structure is shared to the public, so it’s very busy and hard to find a space.

A surprise birthday treat for me by my wife meant an evening composed of various events. We therefore needed some flexibility in order to meet with the different time schedules organised. Our first stop was the Treasury Hotel, with a plan to park earlier in the day as my wife had work commitments. Reception arranged an early book in which allowed the whole event to run with ease and the room was just what we required. It was classic splendour, a ceiling around 20 ft high with solid walls in a quiet location formed around a quadrangle or courtyard providing privacy and it ensured a good night's sleep for me. The neo Italian renaissance style was present in the hotel room construction also adding further grandeur to any occasion with support pillars and a ceiling utilising a classic beam structure. A great place to stay for any occasion.

My husband surprised me with a night away for my birthday. What an amazing beautiful Historical hotel. Absolutely stunning. The staff member who checked us in was lovely and friendly. The room was absolutely stunning. We had breakfast included and it was awesome. We also ordered dessert from room service menu and it was delicious. 100% recommend this hotel.

We had a good experience at the Treasury. We landed in Brisbane early in the morning and got to the hotel around 9am. They will hold your bags for you and bring them up to the room when it’s ready. They texted us that the room was ready well before the listed check-in time. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a classic feel. The property has a gym, which was empty and opened until 10:00pm. Had a good selection of weights and cardio machines. The room itself was pretty standard. It came with a balcony overlooking the square, but we did not use it. The bathroom is also pretty spacious. There was an issue with a water leakage in the hotel itself, but staff took care of it quickly during the day. They also gave us complementary fruit! Which was nice. Overall the location, price, and value was great and I’d recommend the Treasury if you’re standing in CBD, Brisbane.

We had a wonderful stay at the Treasury Hotel Brisbane. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to the team at the front desk — my wife accidentally left a gift in the lobby, and they went out of their way to locate and return it to us quickly. That level of care really stood out. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character, but it’s the people who made the experience memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Brisbane.

Absolutely stunning historical hotel. If I was to stay in Brisbane again, I would definitely love to return. We had dinner in the restaurant 2 nights, and I have to say the Pizza was one of the best we have had. Breakfast was a good choice. Valet parking was ideal. Each and every staff member, no matter where in the hotel they worked, were lovely. Southbank was also in close proximity for wonderful evening walks. You would not be disappointed with a stay here at The Treasury Hotel, and I hope we can return one day for another stay.

Great location - easy walking distance to queen street mall and casino. Charming heritage hotel - little worn - but very clean. Staff were friendly and unassuming- any concerns were swiftly addressed which was lovely. Car park still a decent hike with no lift access, fire stairs might be a bit challenging for those with mobility issues Super quiet and even though lots of people walking down below (drunken shenanigans!) couldn’t hear anything from the suites.

The Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre, situated in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, is a renowned regional art gallery that showcases a diverse range of art exhibitions. It features the works of talented Australian artists across various mediums and houses an extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. The gallery also includes the recreation of Margaret Olley's studio, adding a unique touch to its offerings.
Couldn’t believe it, spoiled and impressed, what a hidden gem, upon entry at first it’s very much like many other modern or contemporary galleries, beautiful, however, the views and location are stunning, and it’s no until you get to the back of the gallery and enter into a very unique and personal experience where you are faced with an almost entire house replicated with in the gallery of a famous local female artist, Margaret Olley. Entire rooms from her home have been somehow moved or relocated or something into the gallery and, it’s hard to explain but definitely a must see for any one, young, old and indifferent. Thank you for this experience, amazing!!!! Plenty of parking, cafe and picnic areas, interesting and incredible experience. Wheelchair accessible with elevators etc and drive direct to doors on both sides, cafe also.

Such a beautiful gallery, we accidentally found it. I have wanted to visit Margaret Olley Gallery since it opened in 2014. I wasn't disappointed at all. The essence of Margaret Olley is presented well here, and one can feel Margaret Olley in her rooms.
Maria K — Google review
If I could give this gallery 10 stars I would. We went on a Sunday morning and joined the 11.30am tour with Hella. Wonderfully comprehensive, starting with Margaret Olley’s house recreation. And going on to a curated wall including a Monet and 3 Margaret Olley originals! A Monet in Murwillumbah! You can even buy a book bag with this on it. Fantastic gallery, incredible views, great location, and it’s free. Take a jumper, it’s absolutely freezing in the gallery and you won’t want to rush through as there’s so much to see. We went to Murwillumbah for lunch afterwards, I’d recommend you check the open times if you have a particular cafe in mind, we got caught out being a Sunday afternoon. I’ve seen the Margaret Olley Archibald Prize winning portrait when it was at GOMA in Brisbane, but now it feels like she has made her way to her rightful home at the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre. Highly, highly recommend. I’ll be going back.

Must visit art gallery if you’re in Murwillumbah or in Gold Coast. Interesting to see the special exhibition dedicated to Olle. Despite not being an artist, i love to visit art gallery where i am from. There is so much knowledge to learn from each masterpiece at every art gallery i have been visiting.

Visited gallery today. It's an amazing gallery with spectacular views across the river & area. Exhibitions hung at present are well worth the trip. Ben Quilty Archibald Margaret Ollie portrait an amazing addition. Truely a gem of culture in the middle of the bush. Well worth the trip from anywhere. Do yourself a favour.

Visited for the first time. Fantastic regional gallery. The replica of Margaret Olley’s Paddington home was really interesting and gave an insight into this Aussie character. Well worth a visit! Ben Quilty’s Archibald portrait of Olley was a personal highlight. Items from the National Gallery currently on display including Monet’s Haysatcks, midday was a nice surprise.

Great place. They recreated Margaret Olley's place exactly how it was. Over 21000 items moved and put back to how when she lived in the house. Awesome exhibition.

The Glow Worm Caves, located in the Gold Coast's stunning hinterland, offer an educational and enchanting experience for visitors. These manmade caves provide a controlled environment where visitors can observe thousands of glowing worms in a replica limestone world complete with stalagmites, stalactites, and water features. The tour includes a short video about the glow worms before venturing into the pitch-black cave to witness these fascinating insects in their natural habitat.
Absolutely loved the glow worm cave. I learnt so much about them. This is a man-made rainforest and a man-made cave which was just amazing. The frog hollow was just an added extra which I also enjoyed. And I love Cedar Creek running through the rainforest and all the random bush turkeys just wandering around. Amazing!!!

Beautiful scenic drive then you arrive and are greeted by friendly staff in a delightful setting. Momo was our guide and she was friendly and full of enthusiasm for her job. She imparted a ton of information in a way that made it interesting. The grounds are well kept and the attached cafe, gift shop and winery are beautifully set up. We purchased some excellent gifts to take away with us. You cannot take photos inside the cave but outside and around the frog breeding areas you can. A great way to spend a few hours.

We visited with my elderly mother to whom wanted to see the butterflies 🦋 to which was not opened as yet and nothing was noted on their website about not been opened. Otherwise the glow-worms was a delightful experience along with the cafe and gardens. Would be nice if you cleaned up the rubbish in the pond and gardens to which the manager walked right past

Great, informative tour as part of ticket and entry. The glow worms were AMAZING. The cave was full of them glowing brightly. There's also Frog Hollow to see too. All set in lush rainforest on a vineyard estate. There's also a lovely cafe/restaurant and wine tastings. Definitely worth a visit.

Educational and informative guided tour, you will learn a lot about glow worms and see them lining up the man-made cave walls. The centre itself situated at a nice bush area and the garden is lovely. Worthwhile to visit.

Had a tour with Beau Eastman. It was his first tour but what a bubbly knowledgeable chap. We found out that he was a film maker and has done work for Sir David Attenborough. We had to dig to get that but it was amazing to hear his adventures after the tour. Made the whole tour just that bit more engaging and magical. The glow worm story is pretty cool. It’s like you end up inside the galaxy in space. And the whole place is actually bright from the glow after your eyes adjust. Worth checking out for sure. The frogs and lizards is a bonus.

Springbrook National Park is a vast expanse of natural beauty, offering visitors an immersive experience in the Queensland hinterland. Spanning over 20 square miles, this park is a haven for hikers and nature enthusiasts, boasting lush rainforests, serene walking tracks, and well-equipped campsites. The park's highlights include the stunning Natural Bridge and the majestic Purling Brook Falls, a breathtaking 100-meter waterfall that leaves an indelible impression on all who behold it.
Springbrook National Park is absolutely breathtaking! The lush rainforest, stunning waterfalls like Purling Brook Falls, and incredible views from lookouts such as Best of All Lookout make it a must-visit. The walking tracks are well maintained and suit all fitness levels. It’s a peaceful escape into nature and perfect for a day trip. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Queensland!

I’ve lived on Springbrook Mountain for over four years, and I can honestly say there’s nowhere else like it. Every day feels like a postcard — misty mornings, fresh air, waterfalls, ancient trees, and views that stretch all the way to the coast. It’s peaceful, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You don’t just visit Springbrook — it slows you down, grounds you, and makes you appreciate the small things. Whether it’s the roar of Purling Brook Falls after rain, the stillness of the forest trails, or the golden light at Best of All Lookout, it’s pure magic. As a local, I still find new pockets of beauty all the time. If you’re visiting, take your time. Respect the land, the wildlife, and the locals who help preserve it. This mountain is a treasure.

Springbrook National Park is absolutely breathtaking — one of the most beautiful rainforest areas I’ve visited in Queensland. The views from the lookouts are incredible, especially on a clear day when you can see all the way to the coast. The Natural Bridge is a must-see, and the walks around Twin Falls and Purling Brook Falls are stunning, with waterfalls, ferns, and ancient trees everywhere. The cool mountain air and peaceful atmosphere make it the perfect escape from the city. Highly recommend taking your time here — every track is worth exploring.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience and a truly wonderful time. The drive to this place is a bit adventurous, but it's well worth the effort. There are numerous scenic lookout points along the way, each offering breathtaking views. The trek to Twin Falls is an absolute must—an unforgettable highlight of the trip!
Sunil S — Google review
Really cool spot to get out in nature and do some hiking. Recommend if you’re looking to get some beautiful scenery, be immersed in nature & see some Aussie wildlife!
Simon D — Google review
Springbrook National Park packs an astonishing mix of rainforest, waterfalls, and ancient geology into a compact stretch of the Gondwana highlands. The drive up is an experience in itself, climbing narrow switchbacks that swap coastal suburbs for clouds of mist and towering Antarctic beech trees. Stop at the first lookout and the Gold Coast skyline sits like a glittering bookmark far below, framed by rolling green hills. Walking tracks branch out in every direction, each with its own reward. Twin Falls Circuit threads behind two curtains of water, giving you that cinematic moment when sunlight slants through the spray. The Best of All Lookout lives up to its name with a sweeping vista all the way to Byron Bay on a clear day, and interpretive signs point out volcanic craters now softened by forest. For something shorter, the trail to the Natural Bridge leads into a cool cave where glow-worms light the ceiling after dusk and a creek dives through a neat hole in the rock. Facilities are simple but sufficient. Car parks at major trailheads have clean toilets, picnic tables, and clear maps that outline distances and difficulty grades. Mobile reception fades quickly off the ridge so downloading an offline map helps, and the plateau’s weather changes without warning, making a rain jacket smart even in midsummer. Food options are limited once you leave the highway; packing lunch lets you linger wherever you find the best bird calls. Whether you are after a family-friendly boardwalk, a half-day waterfall circuit, or just a chance to stand above the clouds for a moment, Springbrook delivers scenery that feels both primeval and unexpectedly close to the coast.

Purling Brook Falls, located in Springbrook National Park, is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. The park boasts the Best Of All Lookout, offering stunning views of the subtropical rainforest and the peak of Mt Warning. This UNESCO World Heritage site features an Antarctic Beech forest from the Gondwanaland era. The falls themselves are a sight to behold as they plunge 100m into a lushly forested base without making contact with the cliffs.
Amazing hike through nature! I did the full 8km walk in around 3.5 hours. The waterfall is about halfway and it’s stunning – I even swam in the super cold, fresh water. A peaceful and refreshing experience. Highly recommend!
Mohamed K — Google review
Lovely views with a nice 4km circuit hike from the lookout to the bottom of the falls. I was a bit worried there won't be water since we haven't had rain for a while. Still very happy to witness the beauty of this falls. Highly recommended!
Sheila Y — Google review
Such a lovely, easy, safe, bush walk, passing through the bottom of a spectacular waterfall. You can swim in the rock pool at the bottom of you like but best not to fit preservation of the natural eco system. Then you continue on the parth which perfectly takes you straight back to the car park. One leg is shorter than the other, so you can shorten the whole journey by choosing the short leg to get there, and returning by the same route. There are lots of stairs the short leg, but they are not hard to negotiate even for low level fitness. Several look ours along the way. Takes about an hour if you don't stop and dawdle too much but allow 2 hrs so you can relax and enjoy the walk, it more of you stop for a swim and a snack at the bottom. My photos don't do it justice as we went after a bit of drought. Usually much more water going over the top.
Nicole W — Google review
Really liked this walk. Was mostly a sloped slow decent. The water. Fall was nice and would have loved to go for a swim. Best to do the loop clockwise for ease. I did it anti-clickwise and then read the instructions/suggestion to do the other.

Lovely 4km hike. Fantastic views, trails filled with life and a great swimming spot if you dare to face the shivers. Lots of fallen trees on the trails that are carved back to ensure accessibility, I deeply appreciate how well the trails are cared for. On this hike you really do get it all, seeing the marvellous waterfall from below and above was captivating. Perfect track, I’ll be back!
Nikki ( — Google review
Beautiful hike with amazing views and breathtaking waterfalls. You can swim in them too! Definitely take a bikini or swimming trunks! The hike itself is not that tough. Some wildlife on the way.
Rashi J — Google review
Purling Brook Falls is, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding and visually stunning hikes the Gold Coast region has to offer. The falls itself is a massive, single-drop plunge waterfall, cascading over 100 meters into a lush gorge. Just bear in mind climate change has had an impact on waterfall flow. But what makes this experience exceptional is that the circuit allows you to view the falls from a spectacular lookout at the top, hike down into the valley to stand at its misty base, and even walk behind the curtain of water itself. The trail winds through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforest, providing a constantly changing backdrop of ancient trees, ferns, and eucalypt forest. It truly feels like stepping into a prehistoric, green world, offering a refreshing escape just an hour's drive from the bustling Gold Coast beaches. The 4km circuit is well-maintained and clearly signposted, but it is not a flat stroll. It is classified as a Grade 3 track due to the steep descent and ascent required to get into and out of the gorge. If you take the track in a clockwise direction (recommended by virtually all visitors and park signage), you will descend the estimated 450 steep, concrete steps first. This gets the heavy knee-jarring work out of the way early and means your return journey involves a much gentler, gradual incline over the suspension bridge and back up to the picnic area. Going counter-clockwise means a brutal climb up hundreds of stairs at the end. Highlights: The Lookouts: Short walks from the main parking area offer breathtaking views of the falls from the top. • The Base of the Falls: Standing in the natural amphitheater at the bottom, feeling the cooling mist on your face, is the ultimate payoff. The sheer scale of the falls from this vantage point is mesmerizing. • The Suspension Bridge: This bridge provides incredible photo opportunities, placing you right in front of the cascade before you begin the climb out. • Warringa Pool Detour: For those seeking a secluded swim, the track continues from the base of Purling Brook Falls for another 2km return (adding about 40 minutes). This leads to the quieter Warringa Pool, which is a fantastic spot to cool off, especially when crowds are at the main falls. The Purling Brook Falls Circuit is a must-do Gold Coast experience. It's a moderate workout that rewards you with views and sensations that are nothing short of magical. Plan for a half-day trip to truly soak it all in. Highly, highly recommended.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, located just north of Brisbane's CBD, is the world's largest koala sanctuary and a haven for Australian native wildlife. Visitors can watch koalas lounging in gumtrees, hand-feed kangaroos, and observe endangered species like the cassowary. The sanctuary offers keeper talks throughout the day and opportunities to learn about various Aussie wildlife while exploring at your own pace.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is truly one of Brisbane’s most special attractions and a must-visit for anyone who loves animals. From the moment you walk in, the natural bushland setting makes you feel close to wildlife in a peaceful environment. The highlight, of course, is the koalas—you can see them up close, learn about their habits, and even have the chance to gently hold one for a photo, which is an unforgettable experience. Beyond koalas, the sanctuary offers so much more. You can hand-feed kangaroos in a large open field, watch platypuses swimming, and see a variety of native birds, reptiles, and farm animals. The daily keeper talks and shows are both fun and educational, making it a great place for families and kids to learn about Australia’s unique wildlife. The staff are friendly and clearly passionate about animal care and conservation, which adds to the overall experience. The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, with plenty of shaded areas to rest. There’s also a nice café with good food and drinks. Overall, Lone Pine is not just a sanctuary but a place where you truly connect with nature. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

Easy to reach using private or public transport from the QBD. The venue hosts different species not just koalas but also Kangaroos, crocodiles, reptiles, birds. For the welfare of animals koalas cannot be hugged but guests can pay more to see them closer and cuddle them with the supervision of staff. Everybody working seemed professional and committed to preserve the welfare of the animals. A bit pricy, but considering what you get it is still worth a visit.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a must-visit considering it's status as the world's first, oldest, and largest koala sanctuary in the world. It was truly a special experience seeing and interacting with the koalas and kangaroos up close especially in the huge free-roam area where the kangaroos were. The park is very well-maintained, with a number of other sections with a variety of other insects and animals. Definitely worth a visit if ever in Brisbane!

Amazing place to visit if you want to get up close and personal with Australia's (more friendly) wildlife. Got to feed Wallabies and kangaroos and saw loads more as well. Visited via the river cruise from the city and that was a great way to do it. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Brisbane.

Fantastic for the whole family. The owl encounter far exceeded my expectations. Leanne and the team have so much knowledge and really know how to respect the animals and also have them guided over in a way that they seemed to be genuinely having fun. Beautiful lay out, and the Koalas were so very special.

Excellent experience kangaroos can be fed. The Tasmanian Devil looks soft but look at those jaws and teeth. Koala are always good to watch. So is the Platypus we saw a central python as well as all the other birds and animals. Well worth the entry fee. Rocks Riverside Park, located in the south-west of Brisbane, was once an industrial estate filled with warehouses but has now been transformed into a sprawling district park perfect for families. The park features a water play area with rock pools, fountains, and shade sails to keep kids entertained and protected from the sun. It offers various activities for kids of all ages including playgrounds, sandpits, and toddler-specific play equipment.
Fun! Water play wasn't on when we went there, just the little rock pools but we still had a great time. There is a beautiful huge tree with a large canopy and a deck below with seats where you can have lunch or dry off after swim. The play ground is geared to older kids, over 5 because of the height of some of the drops but there is also a little kids playground which is totally shaded by trees! The park is expansive and we barely scratched the surface so we'll be back for sure.
Genevieve C — Google review
Great park for kids with multiple play areas. A large section in the middle of the park is currently under construction though, including the whole waterplay area, which was a shame to discover after travelling here, plus there's a fair amount of construction noise. Signs say it'll be closed until at least Dec 2025. Plenty still to do though including both playgrounds, a huge jumping pillow and a flying fox.

The trailhead on Bakers Road provides easy access to this natural wonder. As part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, the park features a dense subtropical rainforest with diverse fauna such as frogs and koalas.
Stunning place. Information boards on near the car park. Not a bad walk to get there but there is a number of steps to get there. Picnic area there as well as toilets. Good parking. It is well worth a visit to see the water falling into the cave below. There was mention of glow worms can be seen in the cave, I never saw any whilst I was there.

The Natural Bridge circuit walk (about an hour) is absolutely stunning! The highlight is the beautiful natural rock bridge glowing in the sunshine with a waterfall flowing gently beneath it — the water sparkles in the light and creates such a peaceful atmosphere. What an absolutely breathtaking place, well worth the winding roads. The drive itself is phenomenal, the locations is amazing. It took us less than 20 minutes to do the entire walk, but we stopped and admired the views along the way. If you are wanting to do something outside of the attractions when in the Gold Coast, make sure to take the time to head up here and stop at The View cafe at Hinz Dam on your way back 😊

Lovely walk through the forest before getting to the waterfall. Saw lots of wildlife including lizards and snakes. The waterfall and cave itself were beautiful. Tip for you if you lean back over the railing and look for a hole in the ceiling you may even spot a few glow worms, even in the day. The walk was absolutely lovely and the environment was beautiful.

5 of us took a quick walk around the track here. Really nice scenery as you head down all of the stairs and across the bridge. About half way through you come across the waterfall from a few different perspectives. Really nice spot inside the cafe to admire the scenery. In all it probably took us about 45 mins, with a few stops to take everything in. No real picnic spots that we could see but there were public toilets.

Wow wow wow 😯🤗 Such an amazing place to visit Loved the water falling through the rock to the stream below. Easy walking track which is very well signed. Even saw a frilled neck lizard. Would be great at dusk to see the glow worms

Absolutely stunning short walk, with breathtaking views of the waterfall into the cave system. The walk to the falls is quite easy, with views from the top of the falls and from within the cave. Plenty of photo opportunities throughout, with the walk likely busy during peak times. Plenty of parking available, and toilet facilities near the entrance.

Great spot for an easy hike — about an hour walk, not too hard. The cave and waterfall are stunning. Watch out for carpet pythons though!

Such a great experience My first horse riding was so fun with the kind staffs. The horses are so friendly and the amazing view!!! Not only horse riding, feeding goats and cracking the whip were so much fun!

We spent a lovely day at Gummies. We booked a groupon 1/2 day horse riding tour and boomerang throwing and whip cracking. The horses were healthy and in good condition. 5 kids aged 6,7,8,9&10 and 2 adults, Gummies catered to us perfectly. Our kids had a great experience with home made damper for morning tea. Good value for money, especially for a different experience for school holidays. We spent a whole 1 hour riding, including trotting which made my kids day. It was at a slow and gentle pace which suits our kids ages and experience. The staff were chatty and welcoming.

Really enjoyable. I’m a total beginner with horse riding. I really enjoyed the relaxing ride around the farm with a small trot towards the end. Our host was super lovely and really inviting. Would recommend for kids and anyone wanting a beautiful day at the farm.

My granddaughter loved her horse ride on Star, she is nearly 6 and was a bit frightened to ride the trail but I must say the horses there are well cared for and extremely quiet for the young and inexperienced, and Courtney reassured her that she would be ok and gave her the confidence that she could do it, don't expect any big turnout it's very basic but we will be back

Beautiful, serene, quite, wild r a few words that describe this place. Lovely horse ride thru the neighbouring woods, got to see few kangaroos in the wild. Feeding goats, milking cow, learn how to use a whip and boomerang. Loved this place. Would definitely recommend.
Kunal P — Google review
This is a wonderful experience to introduce to young people. Horse rising, cow milking, boomerang throwing, whip cracking and feeding the goats. The horses were chosen according to the person. My daughter had a placid perfectly paced horse. She was scared at the beginning ( 6 yrsold) but the guides made her feel very comfortable. It was just a genuinely nice ride. Animals were well fed. I would have given 5 stars but I really thought that the manager whilst there could have possibly made a bit more of an effort to make things a bit more tidier. I wasn’t expecting a palace as I know it’s a farm however maybe just a little better managed with the cleaning side of things.the overall appearance.

Robelle Domain is a sprawling park located behind Orion Lagoon on Education City Dv. It offers a variety of attractions, including a zero-depth water park with a large tipping bucket and jet sprays, as well as playgrounds and sports fields. The park features lush greenery, walking tracks, and picnic areas with barbecue facilities. Visitors can also enjoy the convenience of an onsite cafe for refreshments.
We go here all the time. The gardens are huge and very well looked after. There are plenty of picnic tables, free bbq's and a splash park. There is a lovely concrete walkway that winds its way around this large park. We see plenty of walking each morning

Awesome park, cameras for safety, family and pet friendly, water park for kids, great walking tracks, shopping centre across the road.

I live nearby and often come here — it’s a perfect spot for kids to cool off during the summer. The environment is clean and comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained and not too old. It’s truly a great place to let the kids play and have fun!

I mainly visit here to walk my dog. The gardens are so inviting and it's wonderful to be able to walk along side the stream, and let my dog have a play in the running water (on leash). As part of the gardens, there are picnic and BBQ areas, and a wonderful water play space. There is a great little cafe, which is dog friendly. I also have gone for walks through the University which adjoins the gardens. It is a wonderful place to restore your body and soul in nature.

Nice splash pad and pool /lagoon. Fun public markets in the park once a month.

great outdoor area, but the young teen boys on the electric bikes and electric scooters have been harassing the womans workout program on a wendesday afternoon and the pokemon go players on the weekends and wednesday afternoons since april this year. please do something about them. they also do donuts on the dirt and it picks up dirt and could affect pokemon go players and other visitors with asthma. please do something. it got to the point where they threatened the womans workout coach by saying they would punch her and one of the adults from the pokemon go group had to step in.

If your looking for a playground that has water features for the kids to play and have fun as well as all the latest park equipment for kids then you need to go to ‘Robelle Domain’. It’s a beautiful park which is situated near the Orian Shopping Centre. Make a day of it as there is ample of greenery to have a picnic with beautiful scenery as well as barbecue facilities. Really great place for the kids to have fun, kids to get a little wet if they chose to and just a relaxing place for us parents to watch over the kids.

Loved it, nice and peaceful. All campers are very respectful of each other. Only toilets, but those facilities are pretty clean. Beautiful creek to swim in. Little kiosk with plenty of bits n pieces if needed. And an amazing price. The hosts are lovely too. We are fans 😎 thanks.

Went during the week, only 4 vans there. Parked right next to the river, which we could hear flowing all day and night. What a beautiful, peaceful place. Toilets cleaned every day. The care taker feed the parrots while we were there and gave us feed so they could come to us. We were near the bridge but there was very little traffic and we didn't notice road noise. It's definitely a relaxing break outside of school holidays. There are so many sites to choose from, and no booking required.

What a wonderful weekend. Staff are amazing. The park surrounds beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The other campers were friendly, and noise after 10pm is non-existent. Love the park. Took my children there 25 years ago, and we will be going again with the grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Excellent well maintained grounds for a small price per night. Managers are a lovely friendly couple. Large camping areas with lots of different spaces around a huge property. Flowing creek runs though the property, great for a swim & cool down. Heaps of birds and other wild life around. Fire pits provided everywhere, you can bring your own firewood or buy it at the kiosk.

What a beautiful clean camping ground, well maintained, fire pits at all sights, has a dump point, amenities clean, lovely creek for a spot of fishing, kids playground and BBQ area, has a little shop at house on hill with a few basic supplies, firewood and where you pay for site its cash only will be back

Such a well maintained park, amazing walking tracks and an absolutely breathtaking view. I was amazed how much wildlife there was when camping at Sheepstation Creek, Pademelons were playing around the camp grounds until dawn, and the birds were very curious and would come sit in the tree close to us. AMAZING!!!

Stunning and beautiful National park. Drive the Tweed Range Scenic Drive - the rainforest way is a must. Mostly dirt road. Incredible walking trails, rainforests, lookouts, campsites and picnic areas.
Craig T — Google review
Beautiful, quiet and not so much visited national park with beautiful viewpoints and forest walks. The road is in good condition and passable with a normal car.
Markus P — Google review
Wonderful national park for day trips and overnight camping (online booking), with both family friendly and challenging walks through the rainforests, as well as spectacular lookout views. $8 park fee payable (exact change required). Brindle Creek loop is a good short 1km family friendly walk across wooden foot bridges; the kids love climbing over tree roots and mossy stones. Blackbutt Lookout is easily accessible, within steps from parking. Pinnacle Lookout (300m walk) is also breathtaking, but not for the faint hearted. There are sheer cliff drops and not fully fenced along the whole track, so you must keep an eye on younger children. Two good camping spots available and can be booked online.
C L — Google review
Very beautiful park. The roads are a bit dangerous if it rains so definitely drive under the 40 speed limit or the mud will make you slide

Great visit to Daleys fruit this week to replenish the community garden plantings. We always come away with wonderful healthy plants and a lot more knowledge than we had when we got there. Thanks you to the Daleys Fruit team and a huge thank you goes out to our funding bodies who support us in our community garden.

I’m a fan. And I will be back. There’s a huge abundance and variety of native edibles as well as other exotic edibles and plant stock to wander. Today we grabbed some great bargains for the beginning year of our food forest. The staff have been helpful, despite me not knowing what to ask - having almost no growing experience - they have been able to direct me to what I need to know. And the emails have been useful and informative- no excess.

Visited Daleys Fruit tree Nursery yesterday, and came home with a Custard Apple tree (Paxton Prolific)! My grandchildren and I can’t wait to pick fruit from our new tree. Luckily them know we need to care and water our trees before they start to fruit. The wait is worth it when you get the result of beautiful fresh fruit. Thanks Daleys for your advice

Happy with purchase: reasonable pricing, plant is good quality and arrived in very good condition. Especially, happy with fair pricing for delivering interstate, plus multiple choices on couriers. Other places online charged a crazy amount to deliver interstate, to the point it was not worth it to buy the plant, so I'm glad I've found Daley's! Will be shopping here again.
M — Google review
I have used Daleys to buy plants online about 10 times, and I've always ended up with a great plant. The website has lots of good information to help you choose the right plant for you and your climate with info on pollination varieties when cross-pollination, etc. Is required. The service is great, and they have quickly and helpfully resolved an issue the one time I had with one. I'll keep coming back! :)
