I am writing this review because when I was researching I could not find any information about driving to gunlom in a 2wd. We went to gunlom falls today 19/8/25. In the dry. The road to gunlom has heaps of corrugations and was very dusty. We let our tyres down a little which was much better for driving. The last 11 klms the road narrows. There are some very low bridges that would be impassable in the wet in 2wd. We were in a 2wd Mercedes sprinter van and it Was very bumpy but we made it. And I would do it again. We went very slowly it took us 1hr 50 mins on way in from turn off and 1 hr 15mins on way out. The walk to the upper pools is very steep but has some rock stairs and proper stairs with hand railings. My 80 yr old mother completed the climb we took our time and it took approximately 30 minutes to climb up. It’s amazing at the top. Definitely a must see in Kakadu. There are toilets and showers at the day area and a camping area as well.

Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve

Mentioned on

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve is a stunning nature haven that showcases an array of wetlands teeming with diverse wildlife, including various bird species, snakes, and even crocodiles. Visitors can explore two main walking tracks: the left boardwalk track is particularly enchanting when the Lotus Lilies are in bloom, while the right track offers glimpses of rainforest birds like the Rose-crowned Fruit-dove and Rainbow Pitta.
To see it in all its splendor sunrise and sunset are best. Regardless of time a stunning place to visit.
Kate W — Google review
Really cool place, very lush wetlands and monsoon forest. Lots of bird life, and insects. Loved it here- had a lovely walk through the monsoon forest. The kids found it creepy as they were worried about crocodiles. Highly recommend if you are heading out that way.
Emz M — Google review
It was a good place to drive to for sight seeing. We were lucky enough to see a croc on the side of the road. Lots of bird life and a viewing platform at the end to sit and watch.

📌 Fogg Dam 🌿✨ Exploring Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve – Darwin’s Hidden Gem ✨🌿 A peaceful day out with my husband at Fogg Dam, surrounded by endless fields of lilies 🌸, flocks of birds filling the sky 🦅, and a lookout view that takes your breath away 🌅. Once upon a time, this place was rice fields 🍚 – now it’s a haven for healing, walking, and soaking in nature’s calm. Signs warned us about crocs 🐊 (luckily none said hello 😂), but the serenity more than made up for it. Truly the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and just enjoy the beauty of the Territory. 💚
Anne M — Google review
Less than one hour from Darwin, Fogg Dam Conservation Area, should be on your list of things to experience, while in the Top End. A drive over the dam wall, gives you a front row seat to diverse bird life and maybe a freshwater croc. The sea of lotus lilies is a sight to behold. Which can be seen from the dam wall. But you can immerse in it on the 2.2km water lily walk. Please note: we didn’t see saltwater crocs but they do live there, and you should be crocwise.
Wendzee B — Google review
Great place for birding early wet season and early dry season…recently Fogg Dam has not disappointed…..
Pancrazio — Google review
Fogg Dam is well worth the 1hr drive from Darwin. We did see our first Croc in the wild down the end off the viewing platforms. Beautiful scenery along the Dam wall drive too.
Carey_Fandango — Google review
Incredible concentration of a huge number of different birds. The forest walk is fantastic, very beautiful, couldn't help walking quietly just to capture all the sounds. A special place to visit, and so close to Darwin

Great views of the surrounding landscape. Friendly and helpful staff. There is no entry fee, but a donation is most welcome by the community who run this centre.
Roger G — Google review
This place is fantastic, so informative with spectacular views. Outraged to hear the NT govt. are going to close this place according to the news! Hope that doesn't happen as I recommend it as a place all Australians and visitors should visit... a must stop on your way to a croc cruise along the Adelaide River.
Rhiane W — Google review
I'm sure that there are different/better views from the top if you were able to get up into the actual lookout, but the place is closed more than it's open. The signage on the building and everything there indicates they should have been open 10-3pm. A local said he's been there are a few times and it's never been open, yet other recent reviews indicate it's sometimes open... your milage may vary. The views from the lower deck/board walk area were cool and this time of year there is still lots of water and greenery. Entry, when open, is by contribution. Signage says you can either make a donation, or make a purchase at the Cafe or Gift Shop. Probably not a place to drive just to visit, but drop by and see if they are open if you do one of the local croc jumping experiences.
Jay A — Google review
It's worth a visit. Under new management and they are moving forward. Gold coin donation to enter to cheap.
Stephen W — Google review
The view over the wetlands is far and wide that stretches across sacred land. Loved the stop and the chance to freshen up on some local knowledge. Graham is extremely talented with his art offerings in store, will be back to experience the wet season and this view!
Deric S — Google review
Its free.... the iced coffees n iced chocolates are the best n under $5. Take your time... explore downstairs well ... then go up for the views n a icey bev or snack. Talk to the rangers there.... I make 2 recommendations. 1. If someone has walking issues its a long walk from carpark or sure seems it n all uphill. Drop them off n join them after parking is better as there is only 1 disabled parking spot at the top. 2. Get there early where you can. It can get busy at times. I forget the times now but the talks they give are supposed to be good. So i am going back tomorrow for the viewing platform talk. Gosh I learnt a lot. Some of the displays are interactive.. puzzle style.
Kim B — Google review
Beautiful location, and if you go up the viewing platform it has a wonderful view.
Psyk — Google review
Nothing much to do there in the dry season... although they have good displays and explanation of the local environment and good views from a large viewing gallery.

Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge

Outdoor Activities
Geologic Formations
Nature & Wildlife Areas
Hiking Trails
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the four-hour Three Gorges Tour operated by Nitmiluk Tours in June 2025. We took the 9.00am tour on a Tuesday. Check-in was efficient and friendly. The snack pack (a muffin, a biscuit, a mandarin and water bottle) was exactly what was needed to keep us sustained until lunchtime. The crew were outstanding. The commentary by our principal guide, Landon, provided a wealth of information about the geological history of the gorge, the first nations peoples' Dreaming narrative, historical events during the era of Western exploration, and current management of the ecosystem. He was very engaged and fun to listen to. The views all the way along the gorges were breathtaking. The occasional sighting of a freshie (freshwater crocodile) resting on the bank or on a rock added to the experience. The chance to have a swim in a waterhole, separated from the main gorge and fed by a waterfall, was an absolute treat. We're so glad we did it. Highly recommended.
Mark S — Google review
It was an amazing place to visit. Definitely take the 2 hour river cruise. It was just beautiful with a stop at one of the gorges for a swim, so do take your swimsuit and have a dip.
Louise A — Google review
Ideal place to go for a hike or if you’re into a relaxed scenic tour without the workout, they offer ferry and helicopter tours. Very peaceful place with beautiful scenery. Very educational too considering the history behind the formation of the Gorge - “The Dreaming”
Miriam N — Google review
Done the 2 gorge tour, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and excellent commentary as we went along. Short walk between the 2 gorges to connect with a 2nd boat was an easy walk, some rock areas to walk over but not difficult.
Andrew D — Google review
We came here for the 2 Gorge tour. Depending on the time of year you can do it in either 1 or 2 boats, ours was 2 boats. The guide is very knowledgeable about the area. I have to say we really enjoyed the trip. We picked the right time today ( 10am ) as there were around 12 people on the boat, they normally fit 60 people on. There are water stops on the way round with nice cold water and on the boat, if you are caught short, there is a toilet. You can do canoe adventure tours, helecopter tours and cultural tours. The tours can be booked at the information centre where there are also toilets. You can get a drink, cakes or a cooked meal.
Sharon N — Google review
We did the 2 gorge dawn cruise. Walk from one to the other along a path with a number of easy steps. Stunning views. Great narrative.
Ronda W — Google review
Unreal views. The tour guide we had was the best. Can't remember his name but his knowledge of the gorge and Aboriginal background made for a great experience.

If in Nitmiluk you must try a gorge tour. I wish I did the kayak as I was told it was up current first then come back, but there is very little current. Lovely scenery and felt professional and safe!

Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Parks
Park offering guided tours of karst limestone caves, with roosting bats & dramatic rock formations.
My wife and I visited the Cutta Cutta Caves today and had a fantastic experience. The caves themselves are beautiful and fascinating, but what really made the tour special was our guide. They were incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and explained not only the geological features of the caves but also the mythology and local history behind them. It gave us a much deeper appreciation of the area. This is an absolute must-see attraction when visiting Katherine, and even worth stopping for if you’re just passing through. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Jason R — Google review
Beautiful cave, not in the league of the caves we visited in WA but lovely nonetheless. Arrive 30 mins prior to the tour, they run on the hour between 9am & 4pm. Knowledgeable guides and the tour runs for approx 1hr. Bottled water is provided as well. The wait was only due to the tour starting at 10am Cave time was about 45-50 minutes. There is a short walk from the parking area/kiosk. Enclosed shoes are mandatory.
Deborah E — Google review
Was a hidden gem. Hadn't heard about them, so was pleasantly surprised. The guide was very knowledgeable about the formation of the caves, so enjoyed it a lot. Took the long way back along the 650m track, and that was enjoyable also. Tour takes about an hour and goes every 2 hours, so you'll save time by finding out the times they run before you get there. They give senior discounts.
Bill S — Google review
Fantastic experience! Based our whole trip to Katherine on seeing these caves and it was well worth it. Loved the small walk to get to the cave. It was fascinating observing the flora surrounding the cave. Marvel at the fact that blind cave shrimp call this cave home and the species is only found in two places on earth - Cutta Cutta caves and Madagascar. The cave formations in this type of cave are different to other caves and that's what makes these caves so special. Do not be concerned about the comments of 'no cafe'. This is a National Park less than 30km from Katherine (where there are plenty of cafes). No need to spoil this beautiful place with another cafe. Pack a picnic and enjoy the natural surrounds!
Kyra W — Google review
This tour is highly worthwhile and the guide was very knowledgeable. There are about 20 steps down into the cave and two points in the cave that are a bit narrow but otherwise easy access. There are lots of information signs to read while you wait and a short nature walk you can take. There are toilet facilities and a decent amount of parking.
David A — Google review
Great spot excellent tour guide
David L — Google review
Make sure you check the website or call before going. Tours are on the hour and 3pm isn't always available for public.

Edith Falls

Mentioned on

Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Edith Falls, also known as Leliyn, is a picturesque waterfall located in Nitmiluk National Park. It offers a perfect setting for hiking and swimming adventures. The area features a loop walk that connects the bottom and top pools, providing ample opportunities for stunning photographs. Visitors can swim, snorkel, sunbathe, and relax in the upper pool and falls before taking a refreshing dip in the larger lower pool.
This is honestly one of the most magical and perfect locations we have had the honour of swimming in. We hiked to the upper pool and had it almost to ourselves. The water is cool and fresh, scenery was stunning and the ability to clamber around the rocks exploring, swimming and enjoying the warm sun is an absolute must. The hike isn’t overly difficult, just watch your step and take it easy ! You’ll love it when you get there and will need a swim at the bottom when you return again !
Marjorie — Google review
Absolutely Beautiful and Worth the Visit! This place is stunning! From the car park to the waterfall, it’s not too far. There are two trail options – we took the longer one first (about 30 to 45 minutes), slightly uphill, but totally worth it. The walk itself was beautiful and enjoyable. When we arrived, we were rewarded with an incredible view. Taking a dip in the water was the highlight – so fresh and refreshing! We honestly didn’t want to leave. On the way back, we took the shorter trail, which made the overall experience even more satisfying. There’s also a café and clean toilets on site, which is a great bonus. Helpful Tips: You don’t need to bring much – leave extra clothes in the car. Just take water, a hat, and if you can’t swim, don’t forget a pool noodle. Highly recommended!
Marisa R — Google review
This was our second visit. We came last year on our trip around and enjoyed it so much we had to return. Raw natural beauty, wonderful walks with beautiful swimming holes the water temp is such that you could spend all day in the water.
Tim D — Google review
Sensational place to stop on the way to or from Katherine...it's about 60kms from Katherine and we'll worth the detour. There's a Cafe and toilets there and the swimming hole is just 100m or so from the car park...don't forget the swimming noodles.
Gavin B — Google review
A must see place to visit when in the area. Not an overly long walk from the car park to one of two places to swim. While the hike is not long, it is rocky and has some incline so wear good shoes and keep hydrated. Upper pool will open sooner after the wet season but always check with the local campsite people to ensure the pools are safe to swim in Beautifully cool and clean water to swim in!
Joseph D — Google review
Lower waterhole closed at the moment - late June. Reasonable easy walk to the middle pool - elevated in places, not too rocky and in part sun, took us 30 mins. We didn’t see the signs for the top walk but I think upon studying the board upon return haha that once you cross the two little bridges across the middle pool it’s somewhere around there. Absolutely beautiful lookout and pools, this is definitely worth a visit! There are toilets at the beginning along with a small cafe that mostly sold drinks and Villis hot food which was mostly sold out by lunch. Recommend :-)
Audrey S — Google review
Loved this location - so beautiful in the dry. This was our second visit in two years. First time we swam across the bottom pool to the falls. This time we did the loop walk. Took advice to do it clockwise, but I’m not sure it makes much difference. Info available said a Grade 3 hike and one hour return, but it took us 2 and a half hours, including a 30 minute swim in the top pools. I took walking poles and would highly recommend these for anyone with a lower level of fitness/strength (like me). It was hard work but worth it. And finished with a swim at the lower pool. We did this as a day trip from Darwin. Good drive.
Susan H — Google review
What an amazing place to visit! Worth the small diversion. A gentle walk from the carpark to the top (well sign posted). A beautiful and clean place to swim with gorgeous views. Even in the dry season, the water was flowing ✔️

Wonderful show and venue! The Experience is organized and well orchestrated. I can tell a lot of thought went into the visitor's enjoyment -- such as the shaded areas, audio quality, and timely refreshments. Truly a must-see while visiting Katherine. The staff and owners are genuine, and you can tell they are trying to make the world a better place through a love of music and animals. Easy to book online and great customer service. I will be back with friends and family to see it all again soon!

This was/is a magnificent show and not to be missed if you are in or around Katherine. Tom Curtain has a relatable charm and takes you on a journey of horsemanship, animal training with noticeable skill and experience. His other presenters Ari and Jake bring their stories and skill to the presentation too. Oh, and then there is Tom's singing in which he has won accolades and Awards. Truly a couple of hours which deeply deserves your attention.
Kurt J — Google review
Outstanding Show by Tom and the team today Wed 9 July 2025! It was great to find out how they train the horses and the dogs. The horses were beautiful, the dogs especially Shep was so funny and entertaining, entertainment at its best! Thank you also for supplying the cold wet towels, water and ice lollies! We were on the waitlist and very lucky to be able to go today!
Maureen H — Google review
We did the Katherine Outback Experience as one of our tours on our Ghan trip. What a place. Absolutely outstanding show from Tom's singing welcoming everyone to the outback to the rest of the staff that not only did they're own presentations with the animals but also handed out cushions for the seating, cold water, cold towels and ice blocks. Absolutely sensational experience. A must do if your ever going to or through Katherine.

Wow! I really didn’t know what to expect with this experience but it does not disappoint! We were all so enthralled with Tom and his team. We found our Australian Yellowstone today and we absolutely loved every minute of the show, from how they break in horses, to the cheeky pups and Tom on the guitar. Everything customer service and comfort is thought about with cushioning for your seat, cool towels and cold refreshments. You left us dreaming of life in the outback and appreciating the work you all do!

Absolutely amazing! The people there were kind and entertaining, the animals were cheeky but (mostly) well behaved and there were adorable kelpie puppies! The owner (Tom) was very good at playing the guitar and riding horses. Wish all dogs were that well behaved! Definitely worth doing if you're anywhere near here and I KNOW you'll have an amazing time!

Stopped here for lunch in the park. Interesting history of the railway which used to run down here. Info boards and old restored engines made this a curiously memorable stop. The tree teeming with bats probably helped too.

Have to love the history of the North Australia Railway, and The Commonwealth Railway, and the struggle it must have been building such a railway in the climate and conditions they endured, particularly when it was N.A.R. It is brilliant stuff, to say the least, that someone is taking the effort to preserve that history. Well done. Keep up the good work. Five Stars.

Tranquil area of clear thermal baths framed by greenery, with walking trails & picnic areas.
🇦🇺 First Park Run in Australia – Katherine Hot Springs 🌿👟☀️ We had an awesome first park run here in Australia at the Katherine Hot Springs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our day—or our journey in this beautiful part of the world. It was extra special sharing it with my beautiful wife and daughter—such a blessing to create memories together like this. The track was very well organized, with a nice, clean pathway that made it easy to enjoy both the exercise and the surroundings. The conditions were just perfect—cool morning air and a calm, peaceful atmosphere. After the walk-run, we took some time to soak in God’s beautiful creation—viewed the crystal-clear thermal springs, the gentle flow and lush green surrounds. It’s one of those places that makes you stop, breathe deeply, and feel grateful for life, family, and nature. Katherine Hot Springs is definitely a must-visit if you’re ever in the area—whether you’re looking for a peaceful walk, a refreshing swim, or just a quiet moment with loved ones in a naturally stunning setting. We’re feeling refreshed, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead on our Aussie journey!

This place is great. I nearly couldn't be bothered but sooo glade I did. It is well worth the visit. we went during the peak time, it was busy but not too crowded. You can enter the top pool and go down stream to the bottom pool which is pretty cool. lots of ppl had pool noodles. The metal walk way can be hard on the feet if you aren't use to walking bare foot. The pop up Cafe near the car park wasn't open. There are toilets near the car park and once both the bottom there is toilet 150m away.

What a special place in a very 'rough' town to out it nicely. Definitely check it out and have a dip whilst at least passing through! Cute water fall, rocks to scooter over in the water and a little bridge to float under.... we were very surprised with how beautiful it was.

A lovely naturally heated pool. Thermal spring, pure water, no sulphur smell. Families and couples enjoy a variety of swimming holes along the stream. Crystal clear, pale aqua water. Very inviting and so refreshing. Beats anything I've experienced overseas. I would wear reef shoes next time as I have very sensitive feet. The bottom, in the shallows, is a mix of soft sand, stones (big and small) and acquatic plants. Most delightful of all, there is no admission charge.

Loved it here! Water was 27c really nice. The scenery is stunning, felt like I was in the amazon jungle. The pool is clear and clean and you can float the waterways all the way to the lower pool. Going back again tomorrow 😃

Totally loved this place! I drove in nice and early when it was still a little cooler. There is a large carpark with handy toilets. No dog’s allowed. The water isn’t hot, more like warm, but over time the temperature builds up in your body. The water is so clear, beautiful in fact! I felt very clean after my 30 mins in the water. It was also very quiet, in fact I had the first pool to myself for a while. Great! It was hot when I got back to my van, the Doggo agreed!

We visited in the late afternoon while staying just a few minutes’ walk away at Riverview Tourist Village. As dusk settled in, more insects and critters began to appear — next time, I’d aim for a midday visit for a more comfortable experience. Not long before we arrived, a snake was spotted near the water’s edge, which caused some people to leave the lower pools quickly. That made us a bit hesitant to swim there, so we stuck to the upper pools instead. These were lovely and refreshing, with cooler water likely due to the time of day. Like many NT swimming spots, the pools are mostly deep but have some shallower areas perfect for relaxing. Small streams connect the pools, making it a scenic swim — though watch out for orb-weaver spiders hanging low over the water. Despite the wildlife surprises, it’s a peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings after a long day.

Stopped here for a breakfast break while on the way to Litchfield National Park. This is such as awesome place for breakfast. Super delicious food and we are surprised by the huge portion too. Everything is just so perfect!

Their mango smoothies were really good, we went back twice for it. Main courses didn't have much variety but they tasted good. Would recommend for their mango smoothie s.

Nice stopover for a full meal if touring along the Berry Springs area. All about mangoes! Menu items have mango slush which is great in this hot weather. Refreshing!

a short drive from berry springs and a great place for a frozen mango slurpee. Had the pulled pork role that was tasty. They also sell local honey

Great smoothies and the best scones with home made mango jam which is delicious. Friendly people and a good range of food, drinks and products to purchase and some great places to sit in the shade to enjoy. So good we went back twice.

Came here 2 years ago, wonderful mango smoothie and other mango-featured food including chicken mango toasted sandwich. Lovely, shady and cool outdoor area for dining. Great service. Large selection of products to take home such as mango chutney, dried mango and mango jam. I have been enjoying their mango icecream this time visiting the top end.

Territory Wildlife Park

Mentioned on

Wildlife park
Nature & Parks
Territory Wildlife Park is a must-visit destination for those wanting to experience the diverse wildlife of the Northern Territory. The park features an aquarium with a walk-through tunnel showcasing giant barramundi, stingrays, sawfish, and saltwater crocodiles. Visitors can also explore the Nocturnal House and interact with wallabies and wallaroos along the Woodland Walk. The park offers walking paths and a shuttle train for easy exploration.
Spent the day at the Territory Wildlife Park, great place and so much to see, they have 3 shuttle trains go around the park every 30 mins, hop on, get off at any display area, and hop on the next train. Huge walkthrough aviary, huge rainforest walk - we got there and a Hollywood thunderstorm hit just as we got undercover... Awesome stuff... Huge aquarium with a glass tunnel like the sunshine coast and Manly in Sydney has. This is definitely better. 😁 A Freshie, and a Salty and an open aquarium/pond/lake with barramundi in it. Couple of Buffalo in an enclosure that has the mustering and trapping routines on display. Staff are very friendly and informative on the whole park. Trains are fully air-conditioned (conditioned to the outside air) no windows, but great for getting around. All in all a great day. Edit: You can purchase tickets at the park, with cash too, seniors and concession card holders get discounted entry fee.
Gus C — Google review
At first it felt very underwhelming but then the upclose wallaby experience made up for it as well as the aviary with beautiful birds. Saw one lazy sleepy dingo. They could get a few more, after all Australia is there home!!
Laurie M — Google review
Absolutely love territory wildlife park but prepare for a hot sweaty day and quite a bit of walking there is a "train" that stops every 30 minutes at the station by each exhibit. The birds are always my favourite and the morning bird show is a must see!!!! All of the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Britney H — Google review
Great park with lots of native animals in natural settings. Loved the bird show and aquarium. Big place, so riding bike or taking the free bus makes it easy. Perfect for families and anyone wanting a real Top End wildlife experience!
Laissa H — Google review
Very large park with many outdoor trails to walk. Overall more like a nature park than a wildlife park. We enjoyed the nocturnal area and wooloo sandbar stingrays, but didnt see many animals elsewhere. Very warm with little rest areas, 7km walk with no shelter

The best nature park in Darwin I've ever been to. Very family friendly environment, great staff. Had an awesome experience. Will be back soon
Pamella P — Google review
I love bringing my family here, there is easily enough here to keep you busy for a full weekend. You can choose to get plenty of exercise walking the tracks between exhibits, or you can catch the iconic turtle train. I HIGHLY recommend you don't miss the bird show on the flight deck, I have been to wildlife parks all around Australia and have not seen anything else that comes close.
Andrew S — Google review
I had an amazing experience at the Territory Wildlife Park. The park is beautifully set out and full of fascinating wildlife. Declan in the nocturnal house was absolutely fantastic his knowledge and passion really brought everything to life, and it was such a pleasure meeting him. Kyle, who presented the bird show, was equally impressive. The show was second to none entertaining, informative, and simply brilliant from start to finish. Both Declan and Kyle made the visit truly memorable.

Quiet good and well worth the trip. Water temp was just right in places.

Loved it. Great depth for kids to swim in and campsite was pretty quiet despite being absolutely full. Not too many young yahoos like you get at the ones closer to town. Just a tip save your dish washing water in a bucket to flush the toilet. Sometimes there's not enough water. Also take plenty drinking water as the water there is only able to be used for washing not drinking unless boiled.

Florence Falls Waterhole

Swimming lake
Nature & Parks
Popular plunge pool offering swimming at the base of a famous segmented waterfall.
hidden gem in Litchfield National Park. The twin waterfalls cascading into a clear, refreshing plunge pool are perfect for a swim, especially on a hot day. The walk down through the monsoon forest adds to the experience, with plenty of shady spots and wildlife along the way. It’s well-kept, easy to access, and a great place to relax and cool off. A must-visit if you’re exploring the Top End.
Sagar P — Google review
A stunning spot for a swim and easily one of my favourite attractions in Litchfield National Park. There are two access options: a steep staircase of around 130 steps or a longer, stair-free path that’s more accessible. We visited around midday on a Tuesday — it was fairly busy, but still plenty of space to enjoy the water. The twin waterfalls aren’t immediately visible from the viewing area, but once you’re in the pool, they reveal themselves beautifully. The swim to the falls is short and manageable — unlike Wangi or Edith Falls, which require a longer swim. I’d highly recommend bringing a pool noodle (a Territory essential!) as the water is deep and it makes floating much more relaxing. Sitting beneath the falls with water cascading over you was incredibly refreshing. For the adventurous, there are rock ledges nearby to climb and jump from. There’s also a calm, shallow creek off to the side for a more laid-back experience. Perfect for all swimming levels — an absolute must-visit.
Helen N — Google review
It is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favourite experiences in the NT. The car park gets very full in peak periods so be aware. Bring bathers as you don't want to miss swimming here - it's truly a magnificent experience. You can walk the 135 stairs down to the plunge pool or take the 1.1km track (easy walk - about 15 mins) through the bush/rainforest to get there - they both end up at the same place. Toilets and change rooms are near the carpark. Bring food & water. It's very rocky so some mobility required.
Kim S — Google review
Amazing waterfalls where you can swim during the dry season (once marked safe to do so). Lots of little rock pools to just dip your feet in if you aren't keen for a swim. Absolutely beautiful location although it can get busy in peak periods. You can swim right behind one of the waterfalls in one area which is an amazing experience. Just note you do need to swim against the flow of water to get to the actual waterfall itself which can be more tiring than expected.
Kylie — Google review
This is my #1 spot I’ve been to in NT!! Pictures don’t do it justice but it is the most beautiful place ever. It was pretty quiet when I went, only a few other people swimming. A few little fish around and easy to paddle or sit on rocks and still be submerged. Do not skip this if you’re visiting Litchfield

Buley Rockhole (car park)

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Well-known swimming destination featuring shallow pools of water & cascading waterfalls.
Buley rockhole is a series of rock pools that cascade down the river. It is a hidden oasis from the heat just a short walk from the carpark and picnic area. Access can be a bit tricky as there is no man-made entry to the water so care needs to be taken both entering and leaving the water in each rockpool. We swam at the beginning of the dry season so the water was still flowing and deep in some pools. The water level is seasonal and in the dry the rock pools can become isolated and stagnant not safe for swimming.
Louise T — Google review
Gorgeous spot for a cool off on a hot day. The main pool is deep enough to jump into from the edge. Water is so refreshing and clear. As a mature woman with not so flexible knees these days, I did find it difficult to enter and exit the pools without assistance. There are no rails to hold onto, and I doubt it would be a worthwhile exercise installing rails to enter and exit the pools. It's an easy walk from the carpark to the pools. Just be mindful that it's a rocky walk. Not accessible for wheelchairs.
Jennifer R — Google review
Buley Rockhole offers a quiet, calming contrast to the nearby Florence Falls — perfect for a more relaxed dip either before or after visiting the main plunge pool. It’s conveniently located on the same route, making it a great stopover. The stream gently flows downhill, forming a series of cascading rock pools connected like natural steps. You can relax in any of them, though the lower pools tend to be more popular. The water is deep in parts, which makes it ideal for floating with a pool noodle or even jumping in from the rock ledges. It’s a peaceful spot to unwind, soak in the beauty of nature, and enjoy the cool, clear waters in a more low-key setting. A wonderful stop in Litchfield that feels both refreshing and serene.
Helen N — Google review
One of my favourite spots on our 12000km trip. Beautiful swimming holes. Don’t expect privacy if a tour group arrives or personal space. It disappoints me the way groups can take over a space with little regard to others. A reminder too that it is a NO SMOKING area. It is a magical spot and a must do! Super easy walk from carpark.
200 V — Google review
What an amazing spot!! I came here in the afternoon on a weekday and it was fairly quiet, only a couple other people around so was able to have a pool to ourselves!! Definitely recommend visiting, NT keeps surprising me over and over again
Melly F — Google review
My favorite swimming spot. Perfect water temperature with plenty of different pools to enjoy. No complaints here!
Kate C — Google review
Stunning cascading waterfalls, small and inviting for all ages groups. Shallow and deep water holes. Clean well maintained walk to waters edge
Michelle S — Google review
This place is a gorgeous little waterhole and has a series of small waterfalls that you can lounge in. The rocks are smooth due to the amount of water that flows through, but this also makes them very slippery! Be careful! The carpark is a decent size, there are toilets and change rooms and there are covered tables and chairs. The Ranger was present and blowing down the seating area - good to see someone patrolling and maintaining the area. There are camp grounds, but you do need to book online to stay the night and I think you may need a permit to access the park, please check the NT Parks and Wildlife site to double check and see pricing. It's been a few years since I was last here, but we are already planning our next day trip!

Beautiful, the loop walk was nice and easy, for someone with moderate fitness, get there before 10am if you want the quiet. I went on October so end of dry season but still water flowing over the falls, and the swimming is beautiful 😍

Beautiful waterfall that is open at specific times of the year to swim in. For those who can’t swim or for times when it isn’t safe, it’s an easy walk along a raised pathway to the viewpoint that isn’t long. Definitely don’t miss this.

Top place to visit. Lovely area to swim in plenty of space. Picnic area and a cafe. Although we did have to wait 40 minutes for hot chips🤷. Good waterfall for pictures nice walk to do. I enjoyed my time there.

Great place to hike with 1 and 5 years old! Obviously the 1+ years old was Tula babywear by my hubby while I held the hand of 5 year old for her first full hike. Surprisingly she finished it though mentioning tired at some points. She did enjoy the views and the “green-tailed” ants she saw along the way! We even made it to the cafe before it closes! Since we had the park pass just visit as many locations as our time permit!
Irene S — Google review
Long swim out to the falls, but still worthit and ur able to sit behind the waterfall. Waterfall on the right I think is better, because waterfall on left is near bat cave and smelt like bat poop 🥴 Don’t bother going on the walk over the top of the waterfall, (unless purely for boring exercise) there isn’t any view that’s worthit, u can the car park for a couple of seconds at the top, just a long walk upstairs and then downstairs💀. Use ur time wisely and just chill at the falls. 🌊
Maisey C — Google review
The drive through the national park was fantastic; there were many waterfalls to behold. Wangi was the puck of the bunch. Swim in the magnificent water hole, which has two waterfalls tumbling down into it. The surrounding area is very well maintained and provides easy access to the water hole. There's a fantastic cafe nearby that doesn't charge too much for a quick lunch or coffee. Clean amenities, lush green grass. A must-see attraction.
George K — Google review
Stunning location! Two beautiful waterfalls streaming into a large swimming hole. There are changing rooms and toilets at the carpark a short stroll up the fully accessible path. There's lots of wildlife around, from spiders to insects to fish (that you swim with!) to bats to birds! A short boardwalk takes you to a viewing area... Or you could just swim out to the falls. The walk around the waterfall has lots of steps, but is very much worth the effort!

Mirima National Park, also known as Hidden Valley, is a must-visit destination near Kununurra. The park's sandstone formations offer great opportunities for hiking and photography. While it may not be as extensive as Purnululu National Park, it still provides a sense of wonder with its banded sandstone towers. Visitors can enjoy three short walks through the mini Bungles and take in the stunning views. Additionally, the park offers picnic facilities and graded tracks for easy exploration.
Absolutely stunning national park, beautiful and clear tracks, lots of wild life. Only thing is- watch out for leeches in the top pool. You can see a few waterfalls here and also a cool place to jump off a rock when the water level is high. You’ll need to cross a creek- so wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet.

The Kununurra Visitor Centre, located in the town centre, is a one-stop destination for all your travel needs. From planning your Kimberleys holiday to booking cultural tours and outdoor activities like Lake Cruises and Bungle Bungles flights, the knowledgeable staff at the center are there to assist you every step of the way. They provide valuable insights on must-visit attractions such as Wyndham, Lake Argyle, The Bungle Bungles, and the Gibb River Road.
We dropped into the Kununurra Information Centre to organise a flight to the Bungle Bungles and Deb couldn't have been more helpful. She exceeded our expectations! Not only did Deb organise our flight (which ran like clockwork with Aviar) but also had fantastic knowledge of the area, current road conditions and places of interest. Deb assured us that it would be safe to drive into El questro (Emma Gorge) in our motorhome rather than hire a 4x4 which we did and had a fantastic day. Thank you so much Deb 👏

As always, an Australian visitors centre that is helpful and informative. If you are a tourist in Australia and you would like some help with things to do in the local area just go to a visitors centre and ask. I've never been disappointed by one in all the years I've been going to Oz. They are seriously useful. This one is no different.
Jon S — Google review
Well I feel like I must have arrived at the info centre onthe wrong day going by the other positive reviews. The person who served us was disinterested, talked to us like we were to much of an effort and that I was asking silly questions regarding camping on the Gibb River Road. After leaving, my wife said the lady was rude so it wasn't just me. A person at our caravan site felt the same and they visited the centre on the same day. Like I said earlier, perhaps it was just an off day for her. Not a good start for us regardless. Oh we loved our stay in kununurra by the way.

We popped in to these springs as a diversion on the way back from Kununurra and were really pleasantly surprised. Lovely pool for swimming (even in September) and a beautiful little waterfall. Easy to walk in and out of.
Jan A — Google review
Great small and secluded swimming hole located under a small waterfall. Small, easy walking trail to access from carpark. Cross the shallow stream easily on the walk. Easy climb around to the top of the falls too. Short drive off main road. Approx 3km of unsealed road with some bumpy rocky sections but was safe/open for all cars. Not many areas for sitting/laying down by swimming hole if busy.
Jack D — Google review
Beautiful spot. Definitely worth the drive in. We went in with our Journey outback. Little rough but took it slow. No issues. Has plenty of space to park your van. Also has toilets and picnic area.
Tammie P — Google review
Road in is dirt with many bumps and rocks but it’s only 3km to the car park at which you’ll find undercover BBQ, picnic tables, toilets and then a very short walk to the main pool. You can climb a short distance to the top of the waterfall for smaller pools up top. A further short walk up hill gets to the top of a rock overlooking a beautiful valley. A beautiful spot. Worth a look and won’t take you much time at all.
Krystle C — Google review
Very beautiful and clear spring. Wasn’t too cold either. There was a small snake under the waterfall on the rocks. The walk there from the car park is very easy only 500 m, although it’s mainly walking on rocks and a small creek crossing. The road to the car park is in pretty bad condition, definitely not accessible for all vehicles. There’s a lot of sharp rocks. We saw someone in a hire car park outside before the road got really bad to walk in instead.
Agnete K — Google review
A small and peaceful pool with a waterfall. It could get crowded quite easily but lovely for a quick dip. Easy access from the highway and only a short walk from the car park. There are toilets & a picnic area. You can climb up to the top of the waterfall to some smaller pools. I’m sure this would be impressive in the wet season!
DW — Google review
A great little spring-fed waterfall and swimming hole are located a short drive from Kununurra (toward Wyndham). The waterfall is small but welcoming. The water is crystal clear and cool. The pool and waterfall are located approximately 100m from the carpark, which has enviro toilets and BBQs. The spring is 2 km off of the highway along an unsealed road. There are a couple of shallow water crossings on the track following rain. 2WD cars will make it to the carpark during the dry season.

Short drive from Kununurra town but lovely spot. Quick dip, cold water for a hot summer. Lots of small fishes around but great spot for picnic and chill

The scenic drive to the top is worth it as there are plenty of viewing spots with seating arrangements to take in the breathtaking scenery. The picnic area on top is well-maintained and equipped with four BBQs and several picnic tables. Additionally, there is a public restroom available onsite.
Not closed as stated on google. Sunday today. Nice shelters, picnic tables and toilet. Awesome views. No entry fee.

So good! What an epic view point! Table and chairs, free bbqs and some wood fire bbqs. Toilets and non potable water. Great info provided of area with time line and some historic photos. A MUST if in town

The Grotto

Nature & Parks
Geologic Formations
Nature & Wildlife Areas
The Grotto is a stunning natural gorge with a 120-meter cliff face that transforms into a breathtaking waterfall during the wet season. It offers a safe and picturesque swimming spot, where visitors can take a refreshing dip in the still waters. The area features a Tarzan rope that local children use to swing across the water, adding an element of adventure to the experience. A short hike down steep staircases leads to caves, trees, and a small waterfall surrounding the deep swimming hole.
The grotto is a stunning location. In the dry season you can walk around the creek bed and there is still water to swim in. Several sites online had it as a campground but there are no signs saying you can or can't stay here. We did and it was very nice although there are amenities.
Imogen W — Google review
Sign says no swimming - unconfirmed crocodile sighting. Easy enough to walk down and up the 144 stone steps. Beautiful place and interesting stones. Pity about the croc!
Adele D — Google review
Hot, hot, hot! And no swimming in this murky hole until it’s had a flush, but it’s still a nice place to visit and enjoy the views. There are a couple of nice little pools for a dog to have a drink from the water seeping through the rocks. The e steps down are quite steep and no hand rails. Worthwhile if you’re able. I bet it’s amazing when the water is cascading over the edge and into the pool.
Paul S — Google review
The Grotto is a beautiful place for a short hike down a steep staircase along rocks and caves down a cliff into a deep hole in the ground sporting trees a small waterfall and swimming hole. Climb at your own risk as it seems rocks fall regularly. It started to rain when we arrived but we continued anyway and sat in the shelter of a shallow cave in the bottom watching the rain hit the water with lightning above us. Just beautiful. I wouldn’t say it was completely safe however…
K C — Google review
Easy steep walk down to the water (has steps all the way). The water didn’t look that inviting as seen on the picture, so we didn’t swim but other people did.
Agnete K — Google review
Crocky and rocky, there are more appetising falls in the area. Would probably be amazing post wet season.
Jakki E — Google review
Great swimming hole and you can take your dog along to.

The Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge offers a wonderful experience with lovely accommodation and superb dining. The staff is highly organized and friendly, providing excellent customer service. The camp provides a family atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, offering glamping tents with ensuite facilities. Guests praise the friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, and the bit of luxury in the bush that this lodge provides.
The Bungle Bungles is an absolutely amazing and special place. The APT Wilderness Lodge is a lovely place to stay. It has some of the friendliest and welcoming staff I've ever visited, and the food is fantastic. Not what I was expecting, but in the best way possible!
Nimos P — Google review
Not as good as sister hotel in Bell Gorge. Semi permanent tents could do with sprucing up though they are comfortable enough. Service during our stay was pretty ordinary. Staff were barely trained, albeit perfectly pleasant, and the food on one of our 2 nights was dreadful. Breakfast is a rushed affair, you better be out by 8am, and items that run out are not replaced regardless of the time. I think I'd probably try to stay somewhere else if I returned to Bungle Bungles.
Sebastian L — Google review
This is an unexpected gem out in the middle of nowhere. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Stayed in a tent with an ensuite. Hot shower, comfy bed. The meals were amazing and drink prices are very reasonable for such a remote location. Each evening everyone would meet in outdoor eating areas, the staff would run through the menu and on our last day with had a trip out to the Bungle Bungles, so dessert that night was a dish that resembled the Bungle Bungles. Breakfast was a simple affair, just a BBQ, with plenty of fresh fruit, juice, tea & coffee to grab for yourself.
Leigh C — Google review
Had a wonderful time from the moment we arrived. Lovely accommodation, super hot shower both night & morning. Dinner was superb & was unbelievable how organized the staff were so each table received their meals together. All staff & tour guides were so friendly I will recommend the Wilderness Lodge to all my friends & fellow travelers.
Emily L — Google review
Very cute tents... some cobwebs and a bit dirty in the washroom. Evenings very cold as there is soooo much ventilation in the tent. A real outdoor experience. Pack warm! Food was not great, no options and rather bland in flavor! Pack snacks for sure!
Antoinette E — Google review
In a stunning location, this wilderness lodge has that rustic charm to give that remote glamping experience, (the track in us 4WD only and takes upto 2 hours to do the 64kms) whilst still providing all the modern essentials you need, if you find it hard to disconnect. The staff provide a wonderful experience and are great to be around and the food was exceptional. I would love to go back.

Apart from having trouble opening the door to get in, it's magnetised, this place was great and the lady there was so very helpful with accommodation options and told us about places to see in the area and even offered to call someone about a tour for us. Great service and clean toilets.

Friendly and informative tourist information with typical souvenirs available for purchase. If you are in Halls creek worth stopping in and the toilets are not bad if you need them!
Paul S — Google review
Would be upset if my rate dollars were paying to support this establishment. PS..Geikie is closed...Don't drive out like the conga line of tourists following me did to find it closed with no signals saying so.

One of the best Information Centres around with a wide range of gifts designed by local artists. Staff member was informative, friendly and engaging. Left with a few well priced gifts and souvenirs and plenty of respected local knowledge.

Just a heads-up: be careful when parking at the visitor centre. Our spotlight was stolen while we were inside getting information. Make sure you don’t leave anything valuable visible in your car.

Got in, to get a map, and ended up, through the good suggestion of Mrs. Natasha, to buy the $2 fundraising Wild Kimberly guide which will definitely be in handy plus makes me feel good because I've contributed for both the "Halls Creek Outdoor Art & Culture Project" & to the "Royal Flying Doctors"; Two very fine 'thoughts-made-reality' to invest in. Many thanks giving me the chance to sustain the projects I Love it when exchanges in life are a win for all

Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater

Mentioned on

Crater

National Parks
Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater is a must-see destination, known for being one of the largest meteorite craters on Earth. According to traditional owners, this incredible site was formed by a giant mythological snake during the time of creation. The crater is best visited from May to October and can be reached by driving from Halls Creek or taking an aerial flight for a breathtaking view of the outback landscape.
Well worth the drive up the Tanami Rd. I highly recommend seeing Sunset and sunrise over the crater. The camp site are large and have a concrete fire pit. They were also free to use.
Andrew — Google review
Very underwhelming for the terrible drive. It took 3hrs to drive 135km. Even in a 4WD this was a tedious and vehicle destroying road to drive. The corrugations on this dirt road are 100mm deep. Road from Halls Creek is currently being sealed 60km to Wolfe Creek. However, the other 75km of dirt road is appalling. Travel at your own risk. NOT recommended for dual axle caravans. NOT recommended for non-4WD vehicles.
Sion W — Google review
2:10hr drive from Halls Creek. The road is pretty good except for the last 10km. Interesting place to visit as it is unique in Australia. It currently has water in it which I didn’t expect.
Terry B — Google review
Fantastic Camp Plenty of spaces available, not somewhere that tends to get very busy so the camping there should be plenty space for all. Very peaceful and quiet camp, crater amazing to see and the walk around it only takes just over an hour, no where near the time stated on the sign. Will definitely make this a regular visit as only 10 hours or so from home.
Barry W — Google review
Nice to tick off the list whilst travelling through. Road is slowly being bitchumised with road works being carried out, the track they've made to bypass road works is good, the 30km of tanami road is great, after the roadworks the road is corrigations for a while, pretty rough but manageable if you lower tyre pressures and stick to a good pace. The camping area at the crator fills up in June-july by 4pm
Jamie — Google review
Amazing. A must for all Aussie adventures.
Tassie A — Google review
Be prepared to slow down to 10kph in the last 20km in some spots, conditions on the road change every 100m, other places can do 70kmh. Crater walk took us under 2 hours with regular photo stops. Great place for star shots away from lights.
Robert F — Google review
Another astonishingly well-preserved impact site, Wolfe Creek Crater in Western Australia is about 875 m (2,871 ft) in diameter, and 60 m (200 ft) from rim to floor. The crater is estimated to be less than 120,000 years old and forms the centerpiece of the the Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater National Park.

A walking trail & boat tour are offered through the scenic gorge of this rugged national park.
A really nice day use National Park with easy sealed road access. A few nice walks although the longer ones along the river in the gorge are on soft sand without much shade and can be tough going. The best way to see the gorge however is on the Ranger guided boat cruise that runs every couple of hours. The wildlife is abundant and the scenery spectacular.
John P — Google review
Park is not closed. Don't believe other reviews. There was a sign "road closed" like 800 m before the final car park but for no reason. You can walk it or drive just fine. There are toilets which looks quite new but ugly, without running water and clogged toilets. You can walk along the river on a short walking trail and we even saw one freshwater crocodile there. Beautiful.
Jakub Z — Google review
It's easy to access the Gorge from Fitzroy Crossing along a bitumen road. The walks are well marked and easy to access but the cruise is the highlight for us. A very informative commentary and so much to see and photograph.
Stephen W — Google review
Bitumin road on the way in. Few nasty pot holes so be alert. Majority of the road is good. Walk to Gorge isn't very far. Nice neat public toilets also. Worth a look. Great views👍
Tammie P — Google review
Very calm river to kayak in. Fantastic rock formations. There is a walk along the river as well. Plenty of wildlife: Freshwater crocs, eagles, crane, crested pigeons and other birds. Locals say there's bull shark in the river too which they often catch while fishing. Therefore not recommended for a swim.
Hozefa N — Google review
No boat tours but it is still lovely to see and has inspired many an artist
Susanne C — Google review
Well worth the 20 min drive from Fitzroy crossing.
Tassie A — Google review
We had a walk beside the river and looked at the cliffs. It took about 45 minutes to get to the end. We returned on the track further up the bank. There's a lot of good information boards about the rocks and plants along the way. The road out is sealed but a bit rough.

Mimbi Caves Tours

Caverns & Caves
Mimbi Caves Tours offers an authentic and memorable experience in the vast subterranean labyrinth located 90km southeast of Fitzroy Crossing. Managed by Indigenous-owned Girloorloo Tours, this site is home to a significant collection of Aboriginal rock art and impressive fish fossils. Visitors can explore the caves, learn about the land, and gain insights into Aboriginal beliefs. The nearby campground provides a peaceful and beautiful setting for camping, with excellent facilities including a camp kitchen and ablution block.
Amazing tour of Mimbi Caves by local Indigenous owners. Tour is amazing with story telling, history and the sharing of connection to country. Close to Mimbi camp ground which has amazing clean facilities and site and friendly indigenous park managers. Whilst cave tour is not dog friendly for good reasons, the camp ground is. Good sense of community. Camp ground peaceful and easy to share with others. Amazing scenery and views. Best in Winter months. Highly recommended and would do it again.
Makka M — Google review
The Caves are lovely visit. Be warned the path is very rocky and undulating so if you are unsteady give it a miss. The tour guides are great and have lots of stories. The damper is OK. To be honest I think $70/$90 is a bit much for what you get compared to other Caves.
Tomo T — Google review
Wonderful and fascinating cave system , light was excellent for picking up the beautiful staining on the limestone. Brilliant tour guide, shared stories new and old and took us through an awesome cave system.
Christine K — Google review
An informative and interesting tour with our guide Rosemary. She shared her story and the history of the caves with us. After the tour we sat in a group in the shade and had tea and damper. She spoke some more and we asked questions. Well worth it.
Peta N — Google review
100% would recommend the tour. Rose our tour guide was fantastic! She shares her culture and connected us to her country. The caves were brilliant and even saw some bats. The swim is a must as it is refreshing and a great way to finish the tour. The damper and tea allowed us to sit and listen to Rose explain more about her culture. Thank you for a wonderful day!
Jessica B — Google review
If I was rating just the caves I would give five stars, the caves are impressive but this rating is taking into account some deficiencies with the tour. Our tour guide was lovely and shared interesting stories about the local culture and he had a fun sense of humour. However he was very softly spoken and as we were a large group it was often difficult to hear him. He sometimes provided information before everyone was assembled so again that information was lost. In the second (larger) cave some people got separated from the main group because the guide did not inform everyone that he was exiting via a different route. In the first cave there are stepping stones along shallow water, two people in our group slipped their foot into the water. The stepping stones could be better placed and perhaps a few extra stones placed. The terrain is quite rugged. The campsite is ok but be aware that there is no shelter from sun, wind or dust.
Angela D — Google review
We booked for the 8am tour of the Mimbi caves. Our guide for the tour was Jermaine who arrived at the car park where everyone was waiting. There were 23 of us in total and only the one guide. Although the cave system and the surrounding canyon/area is impressive enough the tour itself was extremely poor….if you are anywhere near the back of the group you will hear nothing….As nice as Jermaine seemed he was either hopelessly out of his depth OR not having a great morning. We decided to opt out of the tour after the first hour and made our way back to our vehicle….at $90 per adult it is shockingly overcrowded, overpriced, understaffed and in honestly very underwhelming. The 8am tour generated over $2000….so it should be so so much better and more professional. I personally don’t think I could ever really recommend it to anyone.
Mike W — Google review
It is a wonderful experience with a great mix of history, funny and sad, the beautiful cave (easy to visit), rock art, cave fishes, bats, other creatures in a beautiful canyon with bizarrely corroded limestone formations in the largest fossil reef worldwide. Rose and Ronnie are great guides with very different styles and stories, both are excellent. Highly recommended!
