I think the info can be improved. Like where actually the platypus is and the koala. And the best way to see them. Understand this is not a zoo. But that's why we need guidance to enjoy the nature at its fullest. Each track can also be advertised better for its experience, using the brochure of course as it's the only information source we can depend on. Nevertheless. The place was serene and beautiful

Great stop in at Tidbinbilla, was passing by after the Deep Space Communications centre. Haven’t been in a few years and safe to say I regret leaving it so long, I forget how awesome this place is. Koalas eat at 1pm so they were awake. Turtles everywhere but make sure not to be too loud they get spooked and go in the water. Lots of birds, we never see any platypus though Would be great if they could get the visitor centre back as a main feature, it’s still all closed off with just an office in demountables. Really lacking that initial lay of the land info. Staff were lovely though

A must-visit! It’s really beautiful, with many trails for various walks. I recommend taking the one that leads to the top of the mountain for a breathtaking view! You also have the chance to see many animals, including lots of kangaroos (especially in the morning). It’s truly exciting to see koalas as well.

This is a wonderful place. The short drive from Canberra is well worth it. We saw Bandicoots, Wallabies,Kangaroos, Koalas, a wombat, and bunch of magnificent birds. The best animal we saw was a Platypus- all of these were spotted in their natural environment. Best time to visit is just before sunset.

Well looked after national park with something for everyone. A huge range of walks for all levels plus lots of picnic areas. We saw 3 platypuses, a southern-brush rock tail wallaby and many birds. Very quiet only a few other groups around

Simply beautiful and peaceful! Update July 2025 Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve has only got been over the year's with great maintenance been done around the Reserve with more BBQ facilities available for starters With some scientific study, they have found to have twenty seven platypus playfully swimming between the ponds along with superb viewing of koalas Lots of Kangaroos can be seen with the odd spotting of some Emu's There is a great play ground for the children to play while cooking lunch at the BBQ area Toilet facilities are available also

Lovely spot to walk around and appreciate our wonderful bushland. Walkways made it easy to get around most locations. Plenty of wallabies, kangaroos, and the odd koala, even for to see a couple of normally elusive platypus.

It was a wonderful experience to visit the building where important decisions are taken and the country is run. The exhibits in the corridors and narratives besides them give an insight into the history. We visited on a weekday and there were quite many school groups. Entry is free. A visit is highly recommended!

Visited Parliamen house with Kids and it was worth it. Plenty of parking, easy access to entry (Free entry), Parliament session was ongoing on our visit so attended session for sometime in guest lobby. They have history of Prime Minister, native animal history , beautiful cafe inside

Dropped by Parliament House for a quick visit during our trip to Canberra. Really impressed by how grand it is and the beautiful surroundings. The building’s design is pretty cool, and I love that it’s open for tourists to explore. Nice to see democracy up close like that!

Parliament House was a great experience. I highly recommend a tour as you have time as you get a peak of areas closed to general access and the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. An absolute must at least once in life of you get to Camberra

I came here many years ago when I was at school and remembered loving it. Came again recently as an adult with some friends and it was a nice nostalgic visit. Average entry price, we came about 2.5 hrs before closing time during the week and that was a good time as most of the school kids had left and we had a lot of space to ourselves to enjoy the place. While a lot of the activities are designed for kids you can still enjoy and learn as an adult. Loved the earthquake room and the lightning simulation as well as the big slide. Gift shop not too bad, I thought there would be more cool science related stuff. Also love that there's some nice places to eat within walking distance, and plenty of parking at the venue.

There's something for all age groups in this science centre. The exhibits are well curated and are informative. We visited on a weekday day and there were quite many school groups. We ended up spending quite some time in the centre, as we found the experimental learning enjoyable. A visit is highly recommended!

An amazing STEM space for everyone to learn from. Every exhibit is highly interactive for all ages and cover a huge range of scientific disciplines. We need something like this in Queensland too.

Iconic science museum - I remember coming here as a kid and enjoying the earthquake machine and lighting show. They’ve still got all that and lots more now. Parking can be a bit pricey, there’s a cafe and daily shows demonstrating how fire works and the like. Great for kids under 10!

So much to see and do for all ages. You can buy food from the cafe and sit inside or outside to eat. The initial ramp you walk up to start going in different sections is quite step. We had a fantastic afternoon there

Really fun experience for the whole family. If you've been to science works this is far more enjoyable for a family with kids. Very interactive for everyone, lots of things the kids can do on their own without parent intervention. Staff around on a few levels to assist or do demonstrations. Normally our kids steer clear of staff who want to interact... but all these staff had a way that worked and I've never seen the kids all so engaged. I could have gone and got lunch and they wouldn't have known I left. It was great to see! Hours of fun and exploration. Lids learned lots of new things and had fun with all the interactive stations throughout. We rushed in the end as had to get out of there, I think 3 hours is probably a good amount of time to set aside if you're heading in with multiple kids.

Always a wonderful experience. Staff are all very kind and interested. They do also seem to appreciate adult guests, so don’t be discouraged to visit.

The National Gallery of Australia is such a beautiful space to spend a few hours. The collection inside is diverse and fascinating, with something for everyone, from Australian works through to international pieces. The grounds outside are equally lovely - peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for a wander before or after exploring the galleries. Well worth a visit, whether you’re into art or just want to soak up a bit of culture in a gorgeous setting. Also, highly recommend taking a hire scooter from the city, along the river and over the bridge to get here. It’s a really fun and scenic way to arrive, and adds to the whole experience.

An amazing place to enjoy the art and make mind very peaceful. It’s a large gallery with cafe and souvenir shop inside. There are numbers to follow. A great visit. Surprisingly, it’s complimentary to entry. There is a garage parking underneath.

The National Gallery of Australia offers a refreshing and diverse art experience. Compared to many Western galleries, it has fewer European works but boasts an impressive collection of American art, as well as a significant focus on Australian Indigenous art. The gallery also features fascinating pieces from Oceania, including works from Papua New Guinea—something you don’t often see in traditional Western museums. The collection is varied, thought-provoking, and definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a unique perspective on art from around the world.

Must see in Canberra. Very unique pieces that tell their own stories across many floors. Stunning pieces of work. Toilets readily accessible, and there is also a cafe. Entry is free with some exhibits requiring a fee, but all is mentioned on their website. Overall wonderful experience.

Very good art gallery. Here I saw Monet's water lilies and many Aboriginal artworks. There are also beautiful sculptures outside the art gallery. It takes 2 hours to watch at the National Art Gallery.

The Ned Kelly series is excellent and the women photographer's exhibition very good. Lots of variety in art forms and interesting juxtaposition too. The aboriginal memorial room was a terrifically moving experience

A large and evocative building with national treasures on display. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The gift shop is reasonable. The café had nice lunch offers and good coffee. There is Wi-Fi access and mobile network reception. The Internatiomal section is worth a look. The aboriginal sections are a worthy effort, particularly the spears arrangement. Exhibitions are worth considering. I enjoyed the Cézanne to Giacometti exhibit. Paid parking is underneath, in the adjacent portrait gallery, or across the road.

I cannot give a higher ranking than a 5/5. Our war memorial is simply a must see. So must history and gallantry we need to know. Beautifully exhibited. Staff are amazing. We took the free tour through the WW11 section with an amazing tour guide called Bill Arthur. He was a wealth of knowledge and simply loved the exhibits and it showed. We had such an incredible time and plan to go back soon as you simply cannot see and read everything in one visit. Simply amazing. Proud to be an Aussie.

The Australian War Memorial is an incredibly moving and beautifully curated place. It’s not just a museum, it’s a powerful tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of so many Australians. The exhibits are detailed, respectful and deeply engaging and the Last Post ceremony is an absolute must-see. A quick tip - the galleries close promptly at 4 p.m. to prepare for the ceremony, so it’s best to arrive at least an hour and a half earlier to explore everything properly. The staff are warm and knowledgeable and the grounds are beautifully maintained. A truly meaningful experience that stays with you long after you leave.

It offers a deeply emotional, educational, and memorable experience that truly honors those who served.

This is a must do when visiting Canberra including jumping on to a free guided tour of the memorial. We had a lovely gentleman named Bob Davidson who was our terrific guide. Bob spoke clearly, empathetically and passionately and with that passion he kept us all engaged. Not one person from our group dropped off from the tour. I would recommend at least a full day visit here, maybe even a day and a half.

A wealth of history. Give yourself time, it is so worthy of the visit, and Poppy's Cafe is open for a meal or snack. I can't say enough about the staff at the War Memorial they are exceptional, thank you to all. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Each day around 4.30 pm the Last Post is played and one of our brave soldiers story is told. We were at two of these services recently, for two of our uncles who lost their lives at war.🕊 Lest We Forget.

Just a fascinating place...so much history on display. Excellent staff who all seem to go the extra mile to help with any inquiry you might have. Spent the entire day there and didn't get to see everything. Stayed for the Last Post Ceremony which was a wonderful way to finish off the day.

A must see. The war memorial is a solemn and respectful place to remember those who have made Australia today. Everyone should make the effort for at least one visit to realise what war is really about. If it does not touch your heart, then you are not human. You need a day to really take your time and be thankful for what these men, women and even animals have done for this country. LEST WE FORGET. 🕊

Very friendly welcome by staff, the wine tasting was excellent and Chris? (Lovely lady), was extremely knowledgeable and explained each wine. The rooms were clean, tidy and lovely to stay in. The restaurant dinner was superb, one of the best steaks I have had. Special mention to Emma who was our lovely server for the evening. I highly recommend staying and we will definitely be back. A great place for a special occasion.

What a beautiful slice of paradise. We stayed 2 nights in a villa. So well done. Modern, clean, great views over the countryside, everything you could ask for. All staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. The restaurant was also great. Open for lunch with a good variety of food to choose from. Wine is superb.

Cupitt’s Estate is such a lovely place to visit; the service is friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are quite casual and reasonable, especially for the outdoor restaurant area. The view over the vineyard and countryside is absolutely phenomenal; perfect for photos and a relaxing afternoon. They also offer wine tastings and have a great selection available for purchase, which makes the experience even better. The grape gardens are beautiful and make for a nice walk or photo spot before or after your meal. While the outdoor menu is a bit limited compared to the more formal indoor dining, everything we tried was fresh and well-prepared. Overall, it’s a must-visit if you’re in the area; a great balance of good food, great wine, and amazing scenery!

We celebrated our 38th Wedding Anniversary for lunch. It was perfect. Our lovely English waitress wished us a Happy Anniversary & suggested oysters, wine etc to start. We decided on some shared plates including the divine home made bread to soak up all the sauces. Our wine & coffees were great! The view & atmosphere were also just lovely. 10/10!!!!

We had a great 2 night stay at one of the villas and were able to take advantage of their spring getaway package which included a complimentary 2 course lunch. The accommodation was clean, relaxing, and comfortable. We really enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant, with the highlights being the Yamba prawns and Hawkesbury Sommerland chicken. Highly recommend staying or dining here if you're in the area to celebrate a special occasion.

Unfortunately, they no longer do the set menu for 2 people, although not mentioned online; and we were further disappointed when the table next to us was offered a set menu with wine parings (on a voucher - we understand, just upsetting). We had a few drinks and snacks on the balcony before which was lovely, the beer and aperol were delish, but the wine flight was BWS appropriate at best. A “Vinyard” that promotes creativity and sustainability but uses bought, mass produced grapes? A shame. Service was wonderful though, thank you team.

Absolutely loved our VIP experience visit!! We chose this zoo over the ones in Sydney hoping for a less crowded visit and it was the best decision. Annabelle was our guide and was amazing. 100% recommend.

We had an awesome visit to Shoalhaven Zoo! The staff were welcoming, the enclosures were clean, and all the animals looked healthy and well cared for. A special highlight was meeting Reneigh the horse — such a gentle, beautiful soul who clearly loves a good pat. You can tell the keepers genuinely care for their animals, and it makes the whole experience feel personal and warm. There’s plenty to see and do, from feeding encounters to peaceful walks along the river. A great spot for families or anyone who loves getting close to animals. We’ll definitely be back to visit Reneigh again! 🐴💙

I live in Sydney and I have been to all the zoos near and far and this zoo has to be the best. We drive 2 hours to get there but WOW it's worth it everytime! The cutest, friendliest most beautiful animals I've encountered at any zoo, they seem genuinely happy. It's very interactive for a young family and a very easy zoo to nativagate without exhausting everyone. All credit to the amazing and super friendly staff!!

A perfectly well-kept zoo, on a pretty riverbank. The animals' enclosures were all very clean and tidy, but not sterile, with interesting terrains, trees etc. We went there for the maned wolves, who were super active and inquisitive. Keen to return when we are next in the area.

Such an amazing experience! The reception staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, well priced and very fast service. I experienced the Lion Feeding that was hosted by Amy and Steven and they were so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Great variety of animals and perfect cozy location. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our Whale Eco Cruise on a rainy morning was absolutely unforgettable. Our staff (Capt Hamish and Paula) were delightful - friendly, pleasant, informative and funny. ☺️ We wound up being blessed with a curious pod of three (including Mom and baby!) that swam around us for a good long time after boat motor was cut and we were just floating along. Loved every rainy second of it!

We had a whale of a time!!! An unforgettable day. Heaps better than we expected. Whales were popping up all over the place but the big surprise was the cliffs. Wow. If you’d just come to see the cliffs you’d be deliriously happy. They were sensational. The boat and crew were great. We had good food and coffee at the very comfortable wharf. Happy people were everywhere. Bravo Jervis Bay Wild! Spectacular! Thank you.

A Must-Do Experience in Jervis Bay! We’ve travelled to Jervis Bay 3 times now specifically to go whale watching with Jervis Bay Wild, and once again, they did not disappoint. The crew are consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their commentary strikes a great balance between educational and entertaining. We were lucky enough to spot a couple of pods of humpback whales, including calves, and they stayed around long enough for everyone on board to enjoy the moment without rushing. Traveller Tip: Even if it’s warm on land, bring a jacket (preferably waterproof). We went out at 1pm on a 26-degree day, and I was still grateful for my cardigan once the sea breeze picked up. Better to be prepared so you can relax and enjoy the view. If you're considering a whale tour in Jervis Bay, don’t hesitate. We'll happily be back again.

I went on the Jervis Bay Passage yesterday, and it was absolutely AMAZING. What a fantastic experience. The sun shone, the sea was calm, and just sailing around all the Bay was wonderful. As we went by areas of interest, our captain gave very informative and interesting stories. The high cliffs by the lighthouse were spectacular. When we saw a Sun Fish, he drifted back so that we could watch it. Nothing was too much trouble. We saw a few seals too and the dolphins greeted us back into harbour. An experience I will never forget. Thank you.

Fantastic afternoon. Saw lots of whales. Even had a pod surface about 10 mts from the boat. We also got up close to the Jervis bay cliffs and cave systems. Really beautiful. Small boat but this got us up close which a bigger boat wouldn’t have. Friendly crew. All in all recommended

Had an amazing time this morning on the Eco Whale trip. Highly recommend!! We saw many whales, even one breaching and closely circling the boat. It was unreal! Saw some dolphins too! The staff were also super lovely and welcoming.Especially Ella who made us feel like VIPs and was so helpful, sharing local info with tourists. This was a nice cruise experience, filled with pure rainbows surrounding the bay area from the light rain. And we saw some dolphin activity! 🐬👍 Although, I would not suggest booking cruises in the winter, unless you'd like to witness some bright rainbows! It can easily be cancelled due to harsh weather conditions, and our experience was not the opposite. It was incredibly foggy and rainy, abit difficult to capture any sealife, though when we did- it was for a short period of time. Slightly underwhelming to say the least, since we couldn't venture into the open ocean or the cliff sides. Still a nice experience overall, I haven't been on a cruise in many years.

A surreal and amazing experience for visitors of all ages. Meals are served at the historic Caves House and cave tours offering access to various caves are available at all times of the *year (see note below referencing temporary closures in 2025). Australians have been touring the famous Jenolan Caves since they were first discovered in 1838 - and a tourist attraction sprang up in the 1920s that have continued to draw tourists from around the world. Lit from within using hidden lighting, each major cave has its own tour guides. The Lucas Cave tour is a popular one due to the features, as is the Cerebus Cave. Dress for the cooler subterranean temperatures, even in Summer. NOTE: *The Caves at Jenolan are presently temporarily closed (2025) to enable MAJOR ROAD REPAIRS plus the refurbishment of facilities, tracks and public access. The caves should re-open again to the public in 18 months. CONS: * Ticket Pricing can be somewhat steep, but worth it. * Caves can be cold, even during mid summer. * Previous road was narrow, single lane and precarious. * Beware of the stinging nettles in the outdoor area.

Jenolan caves a world class and absolutely beautiful attraction that is located in the iconic Australian blue mountains. It's a bit of trek getting there on the small and windy road, which can be a little bit sketchy at times, but it is absolutely worthwhile. The area has many different caves for every type of adventurer and when you drive in, you drive through a massive open cave that dwarfs even the tour buses that pass through. It also has a wonderful German architectural theme due to its founding by German explorers and my favourite part is that it is always a perfect temperature of around 17°C inside the caves.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Imperial caves tour and left us wanting to do the other tours as well. Our guide gave us a lot of interesting facts and kept us all engaged throughout the tour. Plan to be at the barrier point (from where the operator vehicle escorts to the caves) at least an hour in advance. Park and walk or take the shuttle. The walk to the caves is easier than the walk back as it's mostly downhill. View of the blue lake from the walking path is amazing. Can't wait for the lake boardwalk also to be complete. Restrooms at the parking spot and near caves entry. Cafe near the caves entry serves quick eats. Toast / ready to eat items get served faster.

A great experience!! I've been a few times. Explored many of the several caves they have. I plan on going here again. Wasn't far from here, in a small pond, I got to see my first platypus in the wild. I'm told this is a very rare occurrence.

Please purchase a tour ticket before you head out there, especially during school holidays and public holidays, seen too many people regret on the long hours drive for not be able to tour the caves. It was very nice experience with our tour, our tour guide Jaime was superb. Highly recommended for family bonding, fun activities.

Went here on a trip with friends in May 2023. We chose to do two caves, the orient cave and imperial cave. The imperial cave was a wide cave, nice crystal formations but the highlight for me was the underground river the the turquoise water, that was amazing and looked so inviting. Of course no one is allowed to swim in there to preserve its beauty. The orient cave was truly beautiful. Compared to the orient cave, the crystal and rock formations here are truly stunning. The guide was also very knowledgeable and creative, pointing out formations and what they resembled. The kids on our tour loved that as they were also able to use their creative minds to form images of the formations. The drive accessing the caves at the moment is long and tedious due to several road works and closures in the area. There is a point where you will be prompted to stop and follow their vehicle down the steep and narrow road drive. There is ample parking in the area. Overall a very unique experience and I would be happy to check out other caves again (maybe once the road works are completed).

We recently visited and did the Chifley Cave tour, it was great with an amazing and enthusiastic tour guide who gave lots of information regarding the caves, including scientific explanations on formations, as well as stories about their discovery. I highly recommend this visit and loved the entire experience! The tour is also not rushed at all so you have plenty of time to take it all in, take photos and ask questions. Book in advance as it was super busy and we were lucky to make a spot! When we went the road was closed for several km's and required a one way escort, it's fine only adds 20ish minutes but I recommend going early to ensure you are on time - there is a nice cafe with plenty of bits to eat + coffee so you will be comfy if you have a wait. Better to way and enjoy a brew than be late!

Sir Don Bradman Museum. No cricket liver who visits Sydney can not afford to miss it. Though, I would recommend a better lighting's to make history more readable. I loved it.

Great experience for any cricket lovers, or indeed, those interested in the cultural evolution of Australia. Really enjoyed my visit, and was pleasantly surprised that the museum covers not only the great man but the game in a wider context. As one or two other reviewers have mentioned, the exhibits are not always lit as brightly as they might be, but this is a minor quibble. Additionally the museum shop is well stocked, and there is a bargain filled bookcase of second hand cricket books for sale. The adjacent Oval and its picturesque pavilion ( and Mary Poppins statue in the grounds) are other points of interest. A very enjoyable couple of hours.

Outstanding day out! First of all, the staff are the nicest staff I've encountered, so welcoming from the moment you arrive. (Thank you Dominique for easing out little one into the excitement) The coffee from the Cafe was delicious. So much to see and explore, the dinosaur Valley was well worth the cost of a ticket. We drove from Queensland specifically for this and I would do it again and again! Absolutely loved and so did our dinosaur mad little one. One Day we will cherish.

Scenic World in the Blue Mountains is a fantastic place to visit. One can easily spend a day viewing the spectacular scenery and walking through the valley floor rainforest boardwalk. The funicular scenic railway was an amazing experience. It only travels for a short time, but it is very spectacular. Once in the valley, one has the opportunity to walk through a wonderful rainforest. The many sign boards explain not only the history of the location, but also features of the flora and fauna. During our recent visit, the Dinosaur Valley display was available. This was a real treat. The children present loved it. The mainly young staff were very friendly and helpful.

Scenic World is an amazing experience! The cableway, skyway, and railway all offer stunning views of the Blue Mountains. The air was cool and refreshing, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it was a bit cloudy, the view was still beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited Scenic World on a weekday and had such a lovely time. The cafe and gift shop were both great — I especially loved the gift shop and ended up buying a few dinosaurs. The walk through the Dinosaur Valley was wonderful — refreshing, with plenty of fresh air and lifelike dinosaur displays along the way. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience was beautiful and enjoyable for all age groups.

Excellent tourist attraction with magnificent views. The railway and two cable cars give you the opportunity to see the spectacular Blue Mountains . All amazing experience . Parking is easy ( only suitable for cars under 2 metres ) Book tickets on line and aim to arrive at opening time . We had no wait and the staff were all friendly and helpful . Lots of great walks suitable to all fitness levels . We stayed in Cranebrook about an hour’s drive from Katoomba .A very scenic drive to get there and not as busy as Katoomba .

Great day out for the whole family. Lots of different cafes with alcohol to enjoy the terrific views with. Only downside is there are a lot of tourists (can you blame them?). Would try to get there earlier in the day potentially? Either way it’s a great experience overall. :)

Excellent staff, wonderful rides and even though the weather was not good the entire time we were there we had fun. Can't recommend scenic world enough.... Make the time to g t out to see the wilderness and the wonderful dinosaur walk

The place is beautiful! The hiking trails are very well marked, but unfortunately some paths are closed. There are lots of viewpoints where you can admire the mountains! The only downside is that buses full of tourists come and go. So the entrance is crowded, but as soon as you venture off the beaten track, there's no one around!

Three Sisters is a great spot to stop. We would recommend 30m -4hrs depending on how much walking you are willing and capable of doing. Would recommend visiting early or later in the day when it is a bit cooler.

Visiting the Three Sisters in Katoomba was such a magical experience. The moment we arrived, we were completely amazed by the breathtaking mountain views and the calm beauty of nature. My family and I also took a ride on the Scenic Railway, which is said to be the most inclined railway in the world, and it was such an unforgettable thrill. The air was fresh and crisp, and the weather quite cold, so a warm jacket is a must. It’s truly one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate how stunning the world can be.

Windy as usual but does not detract from the amazing views. Greatly improved access since our last visit pre Covid with adequate platform viewing even with a couple of coaches of visitors. There is a small paid parking area or look for off street paid parking. Can get a hot drink, meal or souvenir at the Lookout Echo Point plaza 5 min walk from the Three Sisters.

​The Three Sisters is an iconic rock formation in the Blue Mountains National Park near Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia. These imposing sandstone peaks—named Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo—tower over the Jamison Valley, providing one of Australia's most spectacular and photographed views, especially from the Echo Point lookout. You will have a great time if you visit here. You can drive or use public transport. The location is very convenient. There are restrooms in case you need to use. I have come here so many times and every time I am here I get mesmerised with the beauty and the great views of this place. Highly recommended!!

We stopped here here on our way from Sydney to Canberra and the views were stunning. Plenty of parking, and easy to get to. The blow hole was really pumping with the winds and surf. If you're close by definitely try and make the stop.

This place is a hit or miss. You can either be here on a nice day and enjoy the view. Or you can be here on a day where it gets so windy, that if you open your car door it can fling open. It’s a beautiful place and the blowhole is pretty cool. You can walk further down closer to the water. Overall it’s a beautiful place. Would recommend.

This was a beautiful spot to stop and explore. We drove in from Sydney. I wish we left sooner because there was so much along the way to see, rainforest, breathtaking scenic ocean views, wildlife. While here, the kids explored around in the rocks. My dad and I took the walk from the scenic park area over to see the blow hole. I encourage you to time this right, we didn’t see the blow hole as impressive as it could have been, we didn’t see some action but not much, we went later on the day. Be sure to check the tide! Lots to do around this area, lots of shops, walking, picnic benches to enjoy a meal or snack. So beautiful

This lighthouse is a popular place for locals and tourists. No entry fees. Great views of the sea and hinterland from here. Plenty of parking with generous time limits. When we were there, we sighted several whales on their migration to Antarctica.

For anyone visiting the South Coast around Wollongong and Kiama, the Kiama Lighthouse and Blowhole are must-see attractions. The lighthouse, built in 1887, stands proudly on the headland and offers sweeping views over the coastline and town. Just beside it lies the famous Kiama Blowhole, where, on the right tide and with strong winds, the ocean swells surge through the rock cavity and shoot spectacular jets of water high into the air. On a particularly windy day, the spray can reach visitors standing on the lookout — be prepared to get a little wet!

Kiama Lighthouse Review (Short) Kiama Lighthouse is a charming coastal landmark perched above the famous Blowhole Point in Kiama, NSW. The views of the ocean and rugged cliffs are breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s an easy spot to visit with good parking and nearby cafes, making it perfect for a quick stop or a peaceful walk. Although the lighthouse itself isn’t open to the public, the scenery alone makes it worth the visit. A must-see when exploring the South Coast!

Visited with our photography group and were genuinely impressed. Nan Tien Temple, located in Berkeley near Wollongong, is the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere—and you can feel the scale and serenity as soon as you step onto the grounds. Beautifully landscaped gardens, huge temple halls, an eight-storey pagoda, and sweeping views all contribute to a deeply peaceful atmosphere. Definitely set aside a few hours—there’s a lot to explore. A few tips: • No photography is allowed inside the shrines, ever. This isn’t clearly mentioned on the website, so best to know ahead. • That said, there are loads of fantastic photo opportunities outside—gardens, architecture, statues, and pagodas. It’s a dream for outdoor photography. • Shoes are allowed inside the main temple building, which is unusual compared to many other countries where it’s strictly no shoes. • Plenty of parking, and a small café on-site for snacks or tea. We’re planning to go back in spring when the gardens are in full bloom—it’ll be even more photogenic.

It’s great spot for recreational and pilgrimage. It’s so tranquil and relaxing during our visits. The staff are very friendly and helpful to answer dharma questions. The vegetarian foods are very fresh and delicious 🤤 will call again definitely!

The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden is such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The views of the mountains are absolutely stunning, and the gardens are so well maintained with a wide variety of plants and flowers to explore. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing walk, family outing, or even just to sit and enjoy nature. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s plenty of space to take photos or have a picnic. A beautiful and quiet place to visit with only the birds twittering and wind sweeping through the trees. The day was overcast but better for the photos and to avoid the heat! Bring a hat, enjoy a stroll or find a bench and enjoy the views.

Mount Tomah is my favorite place to take the kids for a scenic hike. The views are breathtaking, and the gardens showcase an incredible variety of plants. The trails are gentle enough for little legs, yet still packed with visual wonder. The kids love spotting unusual plants and running through the open spaces. It’s peaceful, educational, and perfect for a nature-filled family day out.

Visited on Saturday around noon time for lunch and on return leg from Katoomba after overnight stay at Wentworth Falls. Spent an hour there before having lunch on a beautiful sunny spring day. Beautiful manicured garden. Truly worth the visit on this route.

We've always believed that large garden landscapes have the power to hold the senses captive, both in their carefully manicured areas and their natural growth. To fully ignite all the senses, a garden should engage sight, touch, smell, sound, and sometimes taste. For us, only two were truly engaged: sight and touch. ​ + ​The souvenir shop was well-stocked. ​ - ​There was considerable construction taking place around the landscape. - ​The overcast skies, although they set up a beautiful photo backdrop, were a bit of a letdown. - ​Our car battery died, and regarding the assistance we received from staff, I'll simply say: we were incredibly grateful that a lovely visiting couple volunteered to help us.

What a beautiful historic venue to enjoy with family and friends. Lots to see and do, ample parking, wheelchair friendly beautiful setting. Bell bird cafe has a broad but simple menu with unbelievable views of the mountains and the gardens. Great day out, just make sure you don't go on a cold day.

Beautiful wedding venue especially in the rain 😍 cafe was so great to get a delicious hot chocolate at, and I’m glad that unlike other places they didn’t water it down, it was all milk and chocolate. I only wish they gave more than 4 mini marshmallows! To me that equals one full size marshmallow hahah! But the place was beautiful and I will definitely go back..for a fifth time!

The tour of cable car is overrated! Use the cable car to see this national park is totally not enough…If you want to come here, strongly recommend take a walk in any route inside the national park to see its true beauty.

Spectacular views and structure. Travelled just to do the sea cliff bridge, wasn't disappointed. The look out at bald Hill was a great spot to look over where you had been. Very busy even in the weather.Nice walk across the bridge with great views of the sea and surroundings.Very cool road to drive and walk over. You can also park at the north end where there are restrooms and people paragliding. Amazing drive followed by albreath taking views

About an hour outside Sydney, this animal park is a great way to see some of Australia’s iconic wildlife up close—kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. It’s very convenient for a day trip from the city, though it can get a bit crowded with tourists. I visited as part of a tour, which made it easy and enjoyable. For anyone short on time who wants a taste of Australia’s unique animals, this is definitely a worthwhile experience.

Best part of the park is hand feeding the wallabies. They are just so cute and friendly! They are free to roam, though they are scaredy cats so close the gates gently to avoid them panicking and running for their lives! After this visit, I think they are the cutest animals in Australia, way way cuter than the always sleeping koala and the slow moving quokkas. The animals are very well taken care of, except for the wallabies which seem always hungry (maybe they'll be fed again after the zoo closes?). I visit on a rainy day which was a bit inconvenient because there're not enough places with a roof. But still it was fun checking out the animals. Though they seem less energetic. Quokkas are in enclosures, so if you only interested in them, you may want to buy the encounter package, which I think is quite expensive. Also, be sure to go to the lorikeet walk in which you can see the birds up close, but bear in mind it closes at 2. Tickets are cheap on Trip.com. I purchased on the day I went and it was around AUD 22. Animal food was AUD 5 a cup which was way more than enough to feed. I end up going back to near the entrance to feed the remainder to the wallabies. Overall very worthwhile taking the long trip to this zoo.

One of the best wild life "zoos" in town, nestled in a suburban area, sufficient parking, and all wildlife within close proximity. Well cared for by staff, including volunteers. Staff willingly provide info about displays during timely feeding sessions, including photo sessions with koala, and close encounter in some displays, public can hand feed the "residents". Most impressive were "tree kangaroo", rock wallabies, quokkas, wallabies and echidna. Easy walk and compact exhibits. Reptiles, blue tongue and shingle back lizards... great easy 2+ hours' wallk.

A hidden gem - genuinely the largest Australian wildlife collection I’ve had the privilege of visiting and learning about. There are so many aviaries filled with the most beautiful birds, gliders and even ghost bats! The animals here are all very curious and friendly, and enjoy interacting with humans - you can tell that the animals here are well loved and cared for <3 I lost track of time looking around, highly recommend this beautiful sanctuary! I absolutely loved my visit to Featherdale! It ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The animal interactions were incredible — I got to get up close with so many Australian animals, and the staff made everything feel safe, fun, and personal. You can really tell the animals are well cared for, and it made the whole experience even more special. I also loved how easy it was to get there using public transportation. The trip was super straightforward, and the park is conveniently located, which made the visit stress-free. Overall, Featherdale is a must-see. If you love animals and want an interactive, memorable experience, this place is perfect. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time at the sanctuary and enjoyed seeing all the nat ive Australian animals. It was very Hands-On and great for children because they can safely explore and enjoy the experience more freely than a larger, more structured zoo setting. All of these staff were very friendly and hands on. The gift shop was also great with lots of Australia souvenirs.

Bit of a pokey location... literally in a neighbourhood. That said... for a privately run facility, there are loads of animals to see and you can even feed the roos. Nowhere near a Taronga obviously but definitely smaller and easier on the legs who can't do the Taronga distances. Worth a visit at least once.

I went to raging waters at prospect. It’s a lovely place to go with the whole family. It has so many different things you could do. There is a world pool, different slides, a beach, dinosaur island. Plenty of water features and water areas for the kids. Lots of facilities, ice creamery, cafe, shops. Lots of areas to rest and relax. Lots of life guards. I just thought it was a very expensive $15 for parking, $65 for entry, frozen drink was like $10, 2 tiny scoops of ice cream was $10, chips were like $12 for a large. All the shops were very short staffed I waited 40 minutes for chips. Every time i needed something I waited a long line spent half my time there waiting in line. Should consider getting more staff for the food shops during peak days.

We spent a full day at Raging Waters Sydney and honestly, it was one of the best family outings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the energy was vibrant and exciting — the park is clean, well laid out, and there’s something for absolutely everyone. The ride variety is impressive. We loved the thrill slides like the T5 and 360Rush — intense, fast, and so much fun. My partner and I took turns doing the big rides while the kids splashed around in the children’s areas, which are really thoughtfully designed with safety and fun in mind. The wave pool (“The Beach”) was a hit with all of us — a great place to relax in between rides and just soak up the sun. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff friendliness. Lifeguards and attendants were attentive, patient, and seemed genuinely happy to help, which made a big difference — especially on a warm, busy day. Lines for the rides were reasonable for a weekend; we did wait a bit for the major attractions, but it moved steadily and didn’t feel frustrating. Food was decent for a theme park — a bit pricey, but the variety was better than expected, and everything we had was fresh and hot. I recommend bringing a water bottle and using the refill stations — super convenient and helps avoid buying bottled water. We rented a locker and found the facilities to be modern and easy to use. Parking was smooth, and we appreciated that everything was well signposted and organised. I’d definitely recommend arriving early to make the most of your day — and consider a cabana or reserved area if you want a more private base for your group. All in all, Raging Waters Sydney exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect place for both adrenaline seekers and families with young kids. We’re already planning to come back next season — might even grab season passes next time. Highly recommended!

Great park, awesome atmosphere. The slide lineup at Raging Waters Sydney is pretty impressive and it has something for everyone. The food options are as you'd expect from a theme park with hot chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc. The prices for tickets and season passes are definitely reasonable. The only downside is the lack of investment in new attractions. A new slide tower would be very much appreciated for someone who goes each year. It has been too long since any new slides have been installed and would really benefit from some new intense slides.

Dear raging waters I be much appreciative if you could reply it was fantastic waterpark but however there’s lot silde s you can’t go solo and there was individual person who was solo and they try to share tube with group and one person in that group said no sorry when ride operator asked group if they could share and I know person saying no doesn’t know person and isn’t responsible to share but it was only sharing slide for two minutes it wasn’t like they were being told to share silde s for rest of day with stranger and I just think it’s unfair there’s not many solo rides anymore as people pay good money and they can’t get there money worth and I think before you pay online there should be warning that’s it’s strongly recommended you come with ride partner or otherwise you might not be given you full experience and understand rules are rules and I know person who said no sorry might not necessarily meant to be rude and might just be more case off not feeling comfortable with stranger sharing tube and our group agree to share with solo individual. But however poor solo individual did feel bit upset and solo individual did come to waterpark thinking they would able get on more rides solo and it’s fantastic park and staff were wonderful but just saying I do think might be worth while if there’s something on site before you pay online that’s it’s advise you come with partner to water park . Thanks for reading if you do and this is not complaint but I just wanted to put it out there to save people feeling disappointed if they come solo and might be better for them to not come solo and come other time when possible to have swimming partner with them . We came on Saturday 4th of Jan on a hot day. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the staff were diligent. Our young son loved the Junior area. Wait times were not too bad considering the amount of people at the water park. The food queues were at a minimum as I think a lot of people bring their own food. It was my first time here and I must say everything exceeded my expectations and i will definitely be back again

Absolute money making business- The queues are so long you spend most of the day waiting. Charging $15 to park your car, on top of an exorbitant entry fee. Overseas we paid $30 for entry to a waterpark with under 5 minutes waiting time, free parking, friendly staff who all took the time to make it enjoyable. Another water park we went to with inflatable course cost us just $3 each for the entire day. These prices are just ridiculous. Surely it must be closing down soon.

I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly! If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

Wow! What an incredible experience! I took my 3 kids for the beginners kayak tour at Bundeena.We were lucky enough to have Marnie all to our self and she was the most lovely, kind and warm tour guide. We did the 90-minute beginners tour with our six-year-old and loved it! Bruce, our guide, was great – super knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of interesting little facts along the way. The route itself was perfect for beginners – calm, easy to follow, and with gorgeous scenery the whole way. It was such a fun and relaxed way to spend the morning, and even our little one managed it with no trouble. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something family-friendly and a bit different to do in Bundeena.

My wife and I are getting Stand Up Paddle board lessons in preparation for an impending holiday with our kids. Great local knowledge and great instructions. We both managed to stand up after our first lesson. We’re going back to hire the boards, for a bit of extra practice. Highly recommended a lesson with Bundeena kayaks.

Fantastic day out with Bruce with our family today. Finally used our gift that was given to us 3 yrs ago. Bruce is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Marnie was very warm and welcoming. Parking is $12 for the entire day which so reasonable. We will be back again for sure.

My husband and I booked a beginners guided tour with them and had an amazing experience we'll never forget. It was our first time ever trying kayaking and neither of us can swim that well. We had been thinking of taking it up for the longest of time but had been too afraid. Through their training and guidance, they made it feel so easy and so enjoyable that we have now become confident enough to go kayaking by ourselves. Thank you so much for helping us get over our fears and to actually enjoy the experience. Even on a cloudy day, Darling Harbour has a special charm. The grey skies seemed to soften the light over the water, giving the whole area a calm, peaceful feel. It is nice walking area along the harbour with a lot of place for families and kids. It also features a lot of weekend or night time activities like firework. Highly recommend to visit if you love night walk and activities.

The Manly ferry leaves from Wharf 3. Entry and exit to the wharf to board is pretty organised, queues form to swipe through Opal gates a few minutes prior to arrival. There is also some seating available for elderly or people with mobility issues.

We were very happy with the speed, efficiency, and affordability of this public transport to the Taronga Zoo. We had no issues with the departure time either going or coming. The boats were clean and it was a lovely ride.

The public ferries provide excellent views of Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Opera House at a low price.

The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!

Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.

Sydney Opera House really leans into that whole “world-famous icon” thing, but once you stand in front of it you cannot unsee the truth. It looks exactly like a giant rack to dry dishes. A premium, waterfront, government-funded dish rack. Someone clearly put the budget on the wrong Pinterest board. It still looks good, no denying that. The patterns on the tiles are gorgeous, the shape is wild, the whole structure owns the harbor like it pays rent for the sun. But the moment the dish-rack comparison hits your brain, it is over. Those shiny white shells become plates waiting to drip dry. And the big question: was it worth the time and money? Honestly, maybe. It is one of those bucket list things you check off because it is famous, not because it changes your life. You go there, you stare at it, you laugh at how much it looks like kitchen equipment, you take the photos, and you move on. Iconic, yes. Beautiful, sure. Worth the hype? Debatable. But unforgettable as the world’s fanciest dish rack.

Stopped by for a quick look around. Sydney is a beautiful city and this part of town is both historic and swanky. Lots of people about enjoying their evening and overall a very good atmosphere. The whole area surrounding the opera house is lovely to explore.

If you are a lover of Broadway, opera or just to see an iconic building, than this is a must see. Take a guided walking tour starting from the basement on up through the inner workings of the back end. Very interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking. If you are going for a great breakfast, don’t count on it. It’s just meh. Breakfast is at the end of the tour in what they call back in the states their commissary but they call it their green room.

Architecture that captivates your heart! I didn't get a chance to go inside, but honestly, the outside view is stunning enough on its own, it has its power to grab everyone's attention. Top Tip: If you want the best possible view, take a ferry from Circular Quay after sunset. Seeing the Opera House from the water at night is an unmissable experience.

It is a must experience, with stunning views and nature all around you, 1000/10 would definitely recommend. We took almost 2h because we stopped loads and were walking slowly, but people usually do it in 45min to an hour.

Had already planned in advance to do this walk from other recommendations before arriving in Sydney but a couple of locals mentioned it too and it featured on a couple of maps that we picked up. We took the T4 train to Bondi Junction and then walked the 30 mins or so to Bondi before setting off south to Coogee. Plenty of beaches and views to admire plus flowers and wildlife. A fair few steps in places but nothing that most people wouldn’t be able to handle. In all it took is just over 90 mins. Well worth it to get away from the bustle of the city.

Really nice walk, great for all levels of fitness...drive to where you want to start your walk or get public transport to your closest point you wish to start and off you go... Take a picnic with you and stop anywhere along the way and enjoy a romantic picnic in the sun or under the shade of many trees and parks along the way or stop into one of the many cafe's and rest and take in the magnificent scenery, views and breathe in the fresh clean and cool Ocean air..🌴⛱️🌊🌬🌴 Remember to respect the privacy of all the beautiful houses you see along the way, and also to respect the land, nature and wildlife and always take your rubbish with you and use the ma y bins you'll find along the way 😊 Remember, walking on the path is like driving on the road, "keep to the leftt"... The Coogee–Bondi coastal walk is one of those experiences that never gets old, no matter how many times i have done it. The path winds along dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sparkling blue water that seems to change shades with every step. It’s an easy-to-moderate walk, but the views make it feel like a breezy stroll

Great walk and would 100% recommend when visiting Sydney as this is a great way to see the coastline and see some really nice sites. Takes an active person no longer the 1 hour 30 minutes with plenty of cafe’s/coffee shops along the way. A must when visiting Sydney.

Port Jackson is the beautiful place, we know as Sydney Harbour and one of the most spectacular harbours in the world not only on the water but the many walks around the coastline.With its busy water traffic and iconic structures such as the bridge and the Opera House it must be seen from the water

What can I say. Sydney Harbour (Port Jackson) for me personally has and always will be the most picturesque and beautiful harbour in the world. Although I don't live in this city any longer. I am always in awe of this extremely appealing and iconic harbour. It can look so different depending upon the time of day. Or when it is seen at sunrise, sunset, rain or cloud. It never fails to show different characteristics when seen under natural and artificial lighting as well as a variety of different weather conditions. The Iconic Opera House and Sydney Harbour bridge as always are a must see if you are only visiting briefly.

One of the best bays I have ever seen. Excellent balance between natural beauty and real estate. Very proud of my own country.

Fringed by Sydney Harbour National Park, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Catch a ferry to Taronga Zoo Wharf, & walk the trail to Bradleys Head. Watch the ferries commuting across the harbour, enjoy a picnic, & take in the breathtaking scenery. There are great harbour views from the entire walking trail to Middle Head. One of the prettiest, most scenic walks I've been on & highly recommended whilst in Sydney. Also a popular area for fishing & boating.

We had a fantastic day at the Australian Reptile Park! The park has an impressive collection of reptiles and Australian native animals — from snakes and crocodiles to koalas and Tasmanian devils. The kids especially loved feeding the friendly wallabies and kangaroos, and the highlight of the day was meeting Bluey and Bingo! The park also has lovely picnic areas and a great playground, making it a perfect spot for families to relax and enjoy the day. Highly recommended for a fun and educational outing!

We mainly visited the park for the Bluey show but everything else was great too. The place is nice, not too crowded and kids friendly. It's not huge like other zoos which makes the walking easier with young kids. It has a playground with shaded seats for parents. The shows were quite fun and entertaining and staffs were friendly and knowledgeable.

This was honestly really well done. It was obvious the staff cared about the animals the various medical works they support as well as having a nice well kept park. It was a bit expensive, but I can see how the money was being used unlike so many other places. This is definitely a recommend, especially on weekends

Had a great day with my family. Little one age 3 was very excited, loved the playground there as well. Lots of little spots to have a picnic lunch or buy from the kiosk.

Cool place! The reptile talk was very good, the guy who did it was entertaining and clearly very knowledgeable. The spider section was a bit disappointing - more fake spiders than real ones! The gators and snakes were highlights, though.

Beautifully presented array of reptiles, Marsupials and arachnids. Very informative with talks throughout the parkland setting. Kangaroos grazing throughout the area, lovely picnic areas, fabulous for families and nature lovers.

When I NEEDED them to complain about the TREATMENT My Grandson and I Endured at the mouth of Hanna The Owner of @The Entrance Historical Carnival, was very Dissappointed that I could find them and they weren't open on a sunday, I Still Teary everytime I think about how she treated me & My Grand baby 😪😡😪😡
