When I first planned my trip to Sydney & blue mountains, I came across on this website and this became my MUST DO list. When you travel with your parents in their late 60s, a husband and a 6 years old, the challenge to find an activity that everyone can enjoy become way harder. This experience seemed like everyone can easily enjoy, so I booked it in advance. After spending 3 days in blue mountains, we stop by at this place on the way to Sydney, and everyone in the group loved this activity. Natasha was an amazing person leading the experience and she was very attentive, kind, and professional. We arrived at the premises 30 min early, but Tash and her crews were all very friendly and nice. The activities were very engaging and Tash's funny explanations made the entire day even better. Tea making, trying out bread and billy tea, boomerang & leash demonstration, sheep shearing, every single activity were very interesting and the bbq lunch was delicious. My little one fell in love with sheepdogs, especially with Sky and even my parents had a great time seeing her granddaughter shearing a sheep and tasting foods. Thank you, Tash, for such a great memory!!

Wonderful day and enjoyed all the activities. Would recommend visiting Tobruk and even staying there. The Blue Mountains in the background and welcoming stockmen with sweet working sheep dogs to admire.

The paved pathway makes it easy for visitors to navigate the route, which typically takes around two to three hours to complete. Along the way, there are numerous opportunities to stop at cafes and viewpoints for photos or simply bask in the stunning scenery.
Such a great walk! And anyone can do it (except if you have mobility issues as there are stairs). Took me about 2 hours and got to see 5 beaches. Loved it! Highly recommend ⭐️

What a great walk with beautiful scenery. Mainly easy with a couple steep parts but just take your time and rest when you need to and you will be fine. Took us a couple hours as we stopped and looked and rested

The Ultimate Weekend Vibe: Bondi to Coogee (Our Personal Review!) "The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk lived up to its legendary status, but sharing it with a friend last weekend made it truly unforgettable! We were treated to the classic Sydney coastline magic: the turquoise water, the dramatic cliff views we captured in that great panoramic video, and the sheer scale of the ocean, only broken by a lone sailboat cutting across the horizon. But the real joy was the energy we encountered along the way. Seeing the beach volleyball teams setting up at Bondi. The bustling atmosphere at Tamarama (where we saw the unique temporary art installation! ), and each beach had its own wonderful character. We even got a dose of inspiration from the amazing Sculpture by the Sea exhibition (like the fantastic metal fish sculpture \ and the captivating rope-wrapped tree ). They were such a wonderful, unexpected surprise along the trail! This walk is more than just a hike; it's a vibrant, constantly changing gallery of nature and art that reconnects you to the outdoors. A perfect, energizing day trip—and an absolute must-do for anyone seeking beauty and inspiration! We finished the day feeling completely refreshed and already planning our next hike! #hikingdiarybyabid

It is a must experience, with stunning views and nature all around you, 1000/10 would definitely recommend. We took almost 2h because we stopped loads and were walking slowly, but people usually do it in 45min to an hour.
Ana C — Google review
Had already planned in advance to do this walk from other recommendations before arriving in Sydney but a couple of locals mentioned it too and it featured on a couple of maps that we picked up. We took the T4 train to Bondi Junction and then walked the 30 mins or so to Bondi before setting off south to Coogee. Plenty of beaches and views to admire plus flowers and wildlife. A fair few steps in places but nothing that most people wouldn’t be able to handle. In all it took is just over 90 mins. Well worth it to get away from the bustle of the city.
Shaun L — Google review
Really nice walk, great for all levels of fitness...drive to where you want to start your walk or get public transport to your closest point you wish to start and off you go... Take a picnic with you and stop anywhere along the way and enjoy a romantic picnic in the sun or under the shade of many trees and parks along the way or stop into one of the many cafe's and rest and take in the magnificent scenery, views and breathe in the fresh clean and cool Ocean air..🌴⛱️🌊🌬🌴 Remember to respect the privacy of all the beautiful houses you see along the way, and also to respect the land, nature and wildlife and always take your rubbish with you and use the ma y bins you'll find along the way 😊 Remember, walking on the path is like driving on the road, "keep to the leftt"... Thank you 😊
Anthony B — Google review
The Coogee–Bondi coastal walk is one of those experiences that never gets old, no matter how many times i have done it. The path winds along dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sparkling blue water that seems to change shades with every step. It’s an easy-to-moderate walk, but the views make it feel like a breezy stroll
Kwi C — Google review
Great walk and would 100% recommend when visiting Sydney as this is a great way to see the coastline and see some really nice sites. Takes an active person no longer the 1 hour 30 minutes with plenty of cafe’s/coffee shops along the way. A must when visiting Sydney.

We had a wonderful visit to the NSW Art Gallery. The story time in the children’s library was such a lovely experience, and the kids really enjoyed it. We also loved the interactive exhibits in the gallery, which made the visit engaging and fun for the whole family. A great place to spend time together.

This is definitely a must-visit museum and a perfect spot to check in when you’re in the area. The art exhibitions are beautiful, inspiring, and truly impressive. There’s also a great sense of history throughout the place, which makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s also an Instagram-worthy destination — the architecture, lighting, and layout all make for cool photo opportunities. The best part is that entry is completely free! The building itself is stunning from the outside, and everything inside is well-maintained. The air-conditioning is cool and comfortable, and the restrooms are clean and convenient. To get there, you’ll walk through a lovely park, full of greenery and peaceful vibes. The whole area feels calm and elegant — it almost made me feel like I was somewhere in England! Overall, it was such a wonderful experience — relaxing, inspiring, and absolutely worth a visit. Whether you love art, history, or just want a beautiful place to wander and take photos, this museum is a hidden gem you shouldn’t miss. 🎨✨

It was founded in 1872. It is the most important public gallery in Sydney and one of the largest in Australia. It's free entry to most of the exhibits except for special presentations. It's popular with locals and tourists. Toilets are available. Cafes and restaurants are in-house and outside nearby. Parking is difficult and advisable to use public transport. Most areas are level access.

If you haven't visited the Mike Hewson "The Key's Under The Mat" exhibition at The Art Gallery of NSW, you must . Great Fun for kids and adults especially on rainy days or extremely hot days. Bring your swimmers ( although no pools there are communication showers and a water feature to play under as well as a milk tank steam room and Scandinavian sauna as well as change rooms), a picnic and bbq items ( there is a communial BBQ bench with I think 4 BBQ on it you can use to cook your sausages and other protein on , there are lots of places to sit and eat and large sinks to wash up in), bring your laundry ( Yep there are working front loaders and a top loaders washing machines but mainly used to wash the towels in), there are lots of weird and wonderful kids books to read and even a few toys, there is a set of swings and a roller coaster track shaped monkey bar, also a DJ stage with background music playing and a makeshift hut which if you are lucky houses an artist in resident working, toilets are outside near the lifts of the Nelson Packer Tank where the exbition is, pram parking area near entrance exit of exhibition and if you forgot to pack a BBQ, picnic or snacks like I did because I was so unprepared - there is a small concession snack stall set up inside the exhibition with basic light snacks and drinks to purchase just like ones you would see near a beach or park. Highly recommended but try and go on a weekday as Saturdays can get busy from opening to closing hours. Spend the day there as there are other exhibitions to see and activities to do like the patchwork activity at one of the other current exhibitions on.

I had a great visit to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Entry is free, which is such a bonus, and the collection is really nice to explore. The crowd was okay. not too packed, so I could enjoy the artworks comfortably. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth stopping by if you’re in Sydney.
Maria Y — Google review
Well set out. Interesting exhibition. I really enjoyed the new gallery. Modern art not usually for me but this was a stand out. The chalk house, the video of the artist's family home...I had to do a very whistle stop tour of both galleries. I'd recommend it.
Lorna B — Google review
Great museum with alot of art to see from new to old history. It’s so big that you definitely need 2 or 3 hours for it. They have a cafe/restaurant where you can take a break. Various of nice food options available for a very affordable price as well! Would recommend going here, it’s a must and since it’s free so you have nothing to lose.

Fantastic art gallery! There is so much to see for art lovers. The permanent exhibits are mainly in the main building. The newly built section is a couple of minutes walk away and houses a unique light and sound installation in basement of building (check out the video).

Saint Mary's Cathedral

Mentioned on
+41 other lists
Catholic cathedral
Sights & Landmarks
Saint Mary's Cathedral, a Gothic-style Catholic cathedral constructed from local sandstone between 1868 and 1928, is a magnificent structure that can accommodate up to 2,000 worshippers. Standing at 75 meters tall, it is the second largest church in Australia. The cathedral's timeless architecture and grandeur make it a popular tourist attraction. Inside, visitors can admire beautiful stained glass windows, an impressive organ, intricate wood carvings, and towering neo-Gothic arches.
I haven’t been inside Saint Mary’s Cathedral, but I pass by it often enough to appreciate its presence. It’s a striking building, standing tall and proud right in the heart of the city. The Gothic architecture is impressive, with those spires and detailed stonework catching the eye every time. Even just from outside, it feels like a quiet reminder of history and tradition amid the busy city streets. It’s one of those landmarks you don’t need to enter to respect. Just walking past, it adds a bit of calm and a connection to Sydney’s past.
Javed — Google review
Beautiful Cathedral smack bang in central Sydney. A very peaceful sanctuary where you are mesmerised by the architecture and it being Australia’s leading Cathedral it should be one of your bucket lists when visiting Sydney. Doesn’t matter what faith you have just go inside to experience the beauty and reflect on an old world charm that you can feel as soon as you step into the building.
Hospitality I — Google review
The Cathedral of St Mary in Sydney is one of the city’s most breathtaking landmarks, a masterpiece of Gothic Revival design that rises with elegance and grandeur at the heart of the city. From the outside, its twin sandstone spires soar into the sky, making it the tallest church in Australia and giving it a commanding presence on the edge of Hyde Park. The golden-hued sandstone, glowing in the morning sun or under evening lights, makes the cathedral feel both timeless and deeply rooted in Sydney’s identity. ✨ Architectural Grandeur The design of St Mary’s is inspired by the great cathedrals of Europe, yet it carries its own distinctly Australian character. The long nave, vaulted ceilings, pointed arches, and intricate stained-glass windows all speak to the Gothic tradition, but the use of local sandstone grounds the building in its landscape. Walking up to the cathedral, you’re struck by the symmetry and detail—flying buttresses, carved doorways, and decorative tracery that reveal the extraordinary craftsmanship of the builders. 🌈 Interior Beauty Inside, the atmosphere is just as moving. Light pours through the kaleidoscopic stained-glass windows, casting colorful reflections across the stone floor and pews. The soaring vaulted ceilings draw your eyes upward, evoking a sense of awe and contemplation. Each chapel and altar is carefully adorned, blending artistry and devotion in a way that makes the interior as much a gallery of sacred art as it is a place of worship. 🌍 A Cultural & Spiritual Landmark More than a religious building, St Mary’s Cathedral is a cultural icon. It has witnessed countless weddings, funerals, and national ceremonies, serving as a place of gathering, memory, and tradition for generations. Its design isn’t only beautiful—it embodies the aspirations of Sydney’s early Catholic community, who sought to create a spiritual home of international stature in a young and growing colony. 🌟 Why It’s Special What makes St Mary’s truly amazing is how it marries the grandeur of European Gothic cathedrals with the Australian landscape and light. It stands as a bridge between the old world and the new, a piece of living heritage that continues to inspire awe in both locals and visitors. Whether you admire it from across Hyde Park, marvel at its façade up close, or step inside to experience the glow of stained glass, the cathedral is a stunning reminder of how architecture can uplift the spirit.
Min M — Google review
Amazingly beautiful church. A lot of small chapels. The stained glasses were nothing short of amazing. Simply beautiful and amazing. A well maintained church. It is a pilgrim of hope centre.
Johnson G — Google review
This large cathedral in city centre is typically 19th century Gothic Revival architecture. It is golden coloured sandstone that has weathered externally. It is next to the popular Hyde Park and attracts several tourists, locals and worshippers. It's free to enter, though you're not strictly allowed to take photographs inside. Parking is difficult in this area, public transport is advised.
S V — Google review
I happened to pass by this beautiful church and was drawn inside by its exquisitely carved architecture. At the time, a prayer service was taking place, and I took a seat in the front row, sincerely and earnestly listening to all the prayers. Although I am not a Catholic, I was deeply moved by everyone's devout prayers. In the end, the sound of the organ and the choir's singing was as celestial as it was beautiful; its resonance, filling the church, is a beauty that cannot be conveyed through speakers. I am truly thankful for this experience.

200yrs old cathedral in Sydney downtown. Green forest around the building makes it even more beautiful and relaxing. Silent and peaceful inside.

It’s free to visit this large catholic cathedral, in the centre , in front of Hyde Park .. you can take pictures as long as there is no mass at the time of your visit.. the carved architecture is splendid , the wooden ceiling surprised me .. lots of areas where you can light a candle in front of a religious statue..

Sydney Tower Eye

Mentioned on

Observation deck
Sights & Landmarks
Formerly known as Centrepoint Tower, Sydney Tower Eye is a must-visit landmark in Sydney. It offers a 4-D cinema, an observation deck, and an outdoor viewing platform that provides stunning 360-degree views of the city. This iconic tower serves as a great starting point for first-time visitors to get their bearings in Sydney. The panoramic scenery from the top allows visitors to familiarize themselves with the city's layout and plan their transportation options accordingly.
This restaurant left a HUGE impression on me when I was a child. To find out the restaurant is still open and that it still revolves was so exciting. On a recent trip to Sydney over the school holidays, I shouted myself and my 11 year old child to dinner, and watching the smile on her face made my mind flood with many happy memories. I personally found the price to be a little on the expensive side, but I will not complain as the experience, the food and the views won hands down and made the price very worthy. I arranged a window seat and that was perfection. Our seating time was 1hour & 45 minutes and in that time the restaurant revolved 2 full times and some. As we were a table of two, the staff thought we must have left (while we were up getting our food) and cleared our drinks and table, but this was addressed and quickly fixed up. As it was early evening (6pm booking), we had the joy of seeing Sydney come to light. Advice would be, book ahead to grab a good table and go with an empty belly as there is so much great food to try. It was a spectacular experience that made many new happy memories. Enjoy!
Shaz B — Google review
Sydney Tower Eye was great! Good for tourists who want a great view of the city. $42 for one adult ticket so a bit pricey but I’d say worth it. We also did a photobooth while we were up there $10 for 3 slips with 4 photos which was quite good!
Olivia — Google review
On our recent trip to Sydney we did the buffet meal for lunch in the tower. The food was amazing, so many options from traditional roasts and seafood to salads and desserts. Too many choices and the rotating restaurant is fantastic 360 degree views. If I had more time would have loved to go again at night to see the lights but enjoyed at lunch to see the sites while enjoying a magnificent feast. A definite must do.
Lois K — Google review
Sydney Tower Eye is a must-see! The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking, and you can see the entire city, the harbour, and even the coastline. We did the sunset visit, and it was incredible — less crowded, peaceful, and the colors over Sydney were just beautiful. The whole experience was smooth and family-friendly. A perfect way to take in the beauty of Sydney!

Went for the VIP experience. Thanks to Kim and Mareil for the fantastic sky walk. The staff in the Infinity restraint were first class. Happy to explain the dishes and made us feel very welcome in a setting that was a bit alien to us. On to bar 83 where again, the staff were most accommodating and friendly. And, of course, the best views in Sydney.

Its really nice lookout place. You can see so much from Sydney. Windows could be cleaned up better but I believe that its quite hard to maintain place with so many visitors. But there is still space to improve :) We bought tickets on arrival and they let us in a moment.
Radovan K — Google review
It's landmark of Sydney, but I don't think this place is "must visit spot" of Sydney. The place is great place to see landscapes, but I don't think staffs aren't putting enough effort to keep place clean. Also the place isn't that much big, but ticket price isn't that much reasonable, so I rather recommend observatory hills instead.

Stunning views, friendly staff. Min spend of 30$ each person at the bar but no admission fee. Not crowded when we went and felt it was well worth the money.

The Queen Victoria Building, a historic shopping center in Sydney's CBD, is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture designed by George McRae. Built in the late 19th century, it now houses over 175 modern stores including renowned brands like Tiffany and Ralph Lauren alongside charming tea rooms, florists, and jewelry stores. The building's grand arches, pillars, and stained-glass windows reflect the artistry of its craftsmen from a bygone era.
The Queen Victoria Building is a masterpiece of architecture. This building is immaculately well kept. There are multiple floors of shops and food establishments. From the beautiful stained glass to the old elevators it's a sight to see. It really is a testament to how much there care about the building when you see how clean and well kept it is. If you're in the area stop in , shop, eat and take in its beauty.

The QVB is truly one of the most beautiful shopping centres in the world. Beyond the endless high-end shops and excellent eateries spread across its multiple floors, the building itself is a spectacular example of Romanesque Revival architecture. It's a wonderful place to walk and soak up history. And speaking of history: the famous mystery letter from Queen Elizabeth II is a real-life time capsule and won't be opened until 2085. The instructions for the letter are on display, leaving visitors to wonder what message the late Queen left for the future citizens of Sydney.

Best heritage shopping centre in Sydney city Queen Victoria Building. Multiple levels of amazing cafe with best coffee, meals & deserts. Plenty of shops, arcades & areas for beautiful photos. It is next to Pitt Street Mall the main shopping street. Park your car at Centro cinema car park centre Saturday or Sunday for $15 for whole day.

Built in 1898, this beautiful and well preserved architectural heritage building now houses multiple shops and eateries. Good for an afternoon stroll to window shop, get some lunch and wine, or coffee and cake and relax. A must visit one time in Sydney.

What an amazing store, lots of ornate points of interest, stained glass windows, spiral staircase, fancy fretwork, banisters, and a dome of epic proportions. The Australian Clock is a truly wonderful thing to behold. I wanted to spend more time looking around, but we were on a mission and only managed a brief viewing.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is a must-visit aquatic attraction in Sydney, offering five distinct habitat exhibitions showcasing Australia's marine life. Conveniently located near Circular Quay, it provides easy access for visitors. The aquarium houses a diverse range of ocean creatures and offers educational sessions on animal feeding and more. It's an ideal family-friendly activity that allows you to explore the rich underwater world of Australia's aquatic animals.
SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium is an amazing experience and a must-visit in the city! The variety of marine life is incredible – from playful penguins and graceful rays to the impressive sharks swimming right above you in the tunnel. The exhibits are beautifully set up, and you really feel like you’re exploring the underwater world. It’s a fantastic spot for families, couples, or even solo visits. The penguin boat ride is a unique highlight, and the jellyfish displays are absolutely stunning. Everything is well maintained, and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend adding this to your Sydney itinerary – it’s both fun and educational!

The aquarium is big and full of amazing marine life. It’s right next to Wild Life and Madame Tussauds, so you can easily visit all three in one morning. I recommend going early to enjoy everything without rushing. I got my tickets online with a great deal — one pass for the Aquarium, the Zoo, and the Tower Eye. Such a magical place for kids! 🐠🐧✨
Carmela A — Google review
Really loved this aquarium. Easy to buy tickets online (and can save when bundling with collocated attractions). Highlight was the Dugong (unique to Indo-west Pacific). But the "ride" thru the penguins was fantastic (and unique among ALL the aquariums we have visited). Located on Darling Harbour, it's a wonderful "touristy" area in central Sydney. It was an easy 30 minute walk from our hotel near Hyde Park. Very friendly for wheelchairs and strollers to boot. Highly recommend!!!

Visited 11am on a Wednesday hoping it would be quiet however there was a school excursion which negatively impacted my experience as kids were running around and screaming especially in the enclosed tunnels it was very loud. The 8 free photos weren’t clear on what was happening as it was 2 photos taken but they AI’d it into 8 fake filters. On a positive note, had a good variety of species of animals, being able to touch the some sea life was very fun. Penguin ride did need to be longer as it was over very very quickly.
James D — Google review
Sea life Sydney was a wonderful experience.I have been to other Aquariums in different cities but this one is the best so far. We have purchased tickets same day and there was hardly any waiting time. Tickets are slightly cheaper if purchased online day before. Best part was watching penguins. Boat ride to penguins was very very short. Time should be extended for that. Not able to watch them properly while we were in boat. Very well built with clear directions.

Beautifully done interactive aquarium. Great for kids to learn and love nature. Just wish it had been made with wider aisles as prams are everywhere. Loved the sharks and stingrays but really it all was a joy. We went on a Monday and it was busy but not impossible. I would think weekends could get hectic.

This neatly enclosed aquarium located next to the Sydney zoo and madam Tussaud’s houses nurse sharks and cute dugongs. An interesting visit if you are around pyrmont area. Educational and interesting. Not very large and you should cover it in about 25 mins. Slightly pricey

Loved the aquarium and the sea life up close. The variety of marine life is excellent and the seeing sharks and stingray's up close is worth the visit. The penguins are the most entertaining and we can spend a lot of time with them.

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is a compact yet diverse zoo located conveniently on the Darling Harbour foreshore, making it an ideal stop for those looking to experience Australia's iconic wildlife without dedicating an entire day. The zoo features walk-through habitats where visitors can encounter native animals such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, platypuses, and crocodiles.
A perfect place to take kids or overseas visitors but also lovely to visit this slice of Australian wildlife in the centre of the city. It is set out very well and has displays of icon Aussie animals and some surprising inclusions such as bugs and snakes. There are great talks by knowledgeable experts and you can see feeding as well. There is a cafe in the top level near the koalas. A good souvenir shop at the exit. A fun place and educational.

We visited Sydney Zoo with my old parents and the kids. We had a good day and enjoyed it. We couldn’t find some animals, which was funny — maybe we missed them! The zoo isn’t very big, and there weren’t tons of animals, but what we saw was nice. The entrance fee was a bit pricey, I think. Overall, we had fun and everyone enjoyed it. The kids loved seeing the animals, and my parents liked the easy access and shade. Would go again, just maybe not for the animals alone, it’s more for a family day out.
Shenna Q — Google review
We visited WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and enjoyed seeing so many native Australian animals up close, especially the koalas and kangaroos. The exhibits are well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. At the same time, we couldn’t help but feel sorry for some of the animals given the limited space. Overall, it was still an interesting and worthwhile visit.

The WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is a fantastic showcase of Australia’s unique and diverse wildlife, right in the heart of the city at Darling Harbour. What makes it so special is the way it brings the country’s most iconic animals together in one immersive setting, giving both locals and visitors the chance to experience the richness of Australia’s natural heritage without leaving Sydney. 🦘 A Celebration of Australian Animals From the moment you enter, you’re greeted with creatures that define the Australian landscape. Kangaroos and wallabies roam in open enclosures where you can see them up close, and the koalas—always a highlight—make for unforgettable encounters, especially in the dedicated Koala Rooftop area. For many international visitors, seeing these animals in such an intimate way is an absolute dream. 🐊 Reptiles, Birds & More The zoo also offers thrilling encounters with some of Australia’s more formidable residents. The massive saltwater crocodile is a true showstopper, reminding visitors of the raw power of the country’s reptiles. Colorful native birds, snakes, and lizards round out the collection, each presented in habitats designed to reflect their natural environments. The variety is impressive—whether you love marsupials, reptiles, or feathered friends, there’s something here to amaze you. 🌿 Design & Atmosphere Despite being in the middle of the city, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo feels surprisingly immersive. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed to balance visitor access with animal comfort, and the pathways wind naturally from one habitat to another. You can wander through lush greenery, step into walk-through aviaries, and enjoy encounters that feel close but respectful. It’s compact enough to explore in a few hours, yet packed with highlights that make it feel far bigger than its footprint. 👏 Staff & Experiences The staff deserve special mention—their enthusiasm and knowledge bring the zoo to life. Keeper talks and feeding demonstrations aren’t just educational, they’re engaging and fun, helping visitors of all ages connect with the animals on a deeper level. Families with kids especially benefit from the interactive displays and hands-on learning opportunities. ✨ Why It’s Worth Visiting What sets WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo apart is the convenience of experiencing Australia’s most famous animals all in one place, just steps away from the harbor. For tourists on a short stay, it’s an incredible opportunity to see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and crocodiles without needing to travel into the outback. For locals, it’s a reminder of the extraordinary biodiversity that makes Australia unique. ⸻ ✅ In short: WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is beautifully designed, educational, and full of memorable encounters. With its diverse collection, friendly staff, and unbeatable location, it offers a wonderful taste of Australia’s wildlife right in the city center.

One of the best zoos we’ve ever been to! The animals are clearly all so well cared for, with spacious enclosures for them all and as a result we were able to see many of them active and playing with one another. The two baby chimps were so fun to watch! Our daughter did the keeper for a day behind the scenes activity and loved it.
Courtney S — Google review
Good choice on rainy days as it is largely opaque and covered outside. The koala experience was fun and you also get some pictures to go with it. The zoo is nicely decorated according to the animals you can see. Ideal for with children!

It's located close to Darling harbour, along with Sea Life aquarium and Madamme Tussads. We visited here on a weekday morning. It was less crowded. There are a lot of animals here, specifically the ones local to Australia that you get to see. You get to see Koala, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Tasmanian Devil, reptiles, etc. They also let you take photos with the Koala. There are various programs as well spread out the day focussed on Koala, Kangaroo, etc. The premises are well maintained and clean. They have accessibility throughout the premises too. There's a cafe near to Koala spot for light eats and beverages. Overall we enjoyed the day visiting here and totally worth it. Recommend to purchase the entrance ticket as a combo alongside nearby attractions.

If you are really hard pressed for time and have to tick off seeing the big 5, go for it. It is a small place. The female Kangaroo's are much smaller in size and mostly just laying around. A few Koala's as well but I really did not get to see them in action. A tad bit disappointed but the zoo staff are kind. They interact with you and tell you more about the animals, if you ask them.

Museums
The Australian National Maritime Museum is a captivating harbourside attraction located in Darling Harbour, Sydney. It features an array of interactive and educational exhibitions that cover Australia's naval history and the science of the sea. Visitors can explore real Navy ships, including the HMB Endeavour replica, immerse themselves in a submarine experience, and participate in Kids on Deck workshops. The museum also hosts engaging short-term exhibitions on various topics such as pirates, sea monsters, and wildlife photography.
One of the more enjoyable museums to visit in Australia because it’s not only “just ships”. That said the ships and the submarine are a very unique experience, super informative and engaging. I mean it’s a massive submarine and battleship! The wildlife photographer of the year gallery which is at the museum annually is such a fantastic exhibition too + currently they have James Cameron’s submarine exhibition there too which is equally an interesting feature to see. The volunteers are very helpful and informative about all of the features especially on the ships
Ben K — Google review
The Australian National Maritime Museum is an impressive and visually stunning place, especially for anyone interested in the sea, exploration, and naval history. The exhibits feature a wealth of fascinating items—from ship models and maritime artifacts to incredible National Geographic award-winning photographs that bring the ocean’s beauty and mysteries to life. One of the standout experiences is being able to board historic warships and explore their interiors. Walking through the decks and cabins really gives you a sense of what life at sea was like, making the visit immersive and memorable. The museum does a great job of combining education with hands-on experiences, which makes it suitable for both adults and families. That said, the ticket prices are on the higher side. While the collection and interactive experiences are excellent, the cost feels a bit steep compared to other museums in Sydney. Overall, though, it’s a fascinating destination for maritime enthusiasts and history lovers—just be prepared for the higher entry fee.

What a great way to spend a few hours!!! Love the submarine, huge respect for the crews that spend 3 months in one!! The Vampire was incredibly impressive - just a massive treat to be able to visit these ships 🛳️ museum itself was also very interesting! Such a great visit!⭐️⭐️

The Australian National Maritime Museum is a truly engaging experience. The exhibitions are beautifully curated, blending history, culture, and real-life stories from the sea. Exploring the ships was a highlight — it feels like stepping into the past. Such a unique experience. The museum is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a day of exploration. I recommend buying tickets online. And be on time as the museum closes at 4

The Australian National Maritime Museum is already incredible from the outside, and I can only imagine how amazing it is inside. I didn’t buy a ticket, but just walking past the outdoor displays of ships and boats was really cool. The exhibits outside are fascinating and definitely worth checking out, perfect for maritime enthusiasts and photo opportunities!

We booked the Terrace Room at the Australian National Maritime Museum for our wedding reception and had an amazing time. When we first requested a quote for booking the space, Jasmine responded promptly and provided enough information to make a decision on whether to pursue it further. We arranged a site visit which helped us see the potential for the space. Throughout the planning process, Jasmine and Alexandra were patient and thorough in providing responses. Whenever I sent e-mails asking numerous questions, they would methodically go through and answer every question, which made the process feel a lot easier. They were also flexible and accommodating to any bespoke requests. On our wedding day, the Terrace room was set up well ahead of time, which gave us ample opportunity to add the finishing touches. Although we had a running sheet for meal times etc., Alexandra (who lead the team on the day) understood our intentions and priorities from the planning process and adapted accordingly. I am glad that I was able to eat every course of food that was served at my wedding, especially since it was all so delicious! When booking the venue, it was made clear that catering would be provided by the catering partner (which was Sydney Restaurant Group at the time of our wedding). I'm glad it was set because I might not have found them otherwise. The food served tasted as good as it looked, and it was consistent with what we were served at the tasting session during planning. My personal highlights were the heirloom tomato tart and the beef cheek. Since our wedding was held on a Saturday, we had the added bonus of being able to view the drone show that was being trialled (in place of the usual fireworks which also would have been great). It was easy for our guests to step out from the private balcony to get a good view. This added a special touch to the day with no additional cost to us. I would definitely recommend the Australian National Maritime Museum as a venue for a wedding reception, especially since it is so close to the Pyrmont Registry for a no-fuss ceremony.

An absolutely essential deep dive into Australia's identity! The Australian National Maritime Museum, set perfectly in Darling Harbour, does a brilliant job of showing how tied this country is to the sea. The indoor exhibitions are unique, tackling everything from Indigenous seafaring traditions and naval warfare to beach culture, immigration and ocean science. However, the real highlight is the incredible fleet you can board and explore. Don't miss the chance to climb through the narrow, high-tech corridors of the HMAS Onslow (a Cold War Submarine) or explore the impressive decks of the HMAS Vampire (Australia's last big gun destroyer). You can also see the historic commando raider Krait, which played a legendary role in WWII. It’s an engaging, hands-on experience that brings history right up close. When your done, walk across the road to the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel and grab a beer and a Parmi for a classic Sydney pub experience.

Chinese Garden of Friendship

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a serene walled garden in Sydney, located near Darling Harbour. It was gifted to Australia by the city of Guangzhou as a symbol of friendship between the two countries. The garden features pavilions, ponds, waterfalls, and exotic plants inspired by classical Guangzhou gardens. Despite its smaller size compared to other green spaces in the city, it offers a unique charm and tranquil atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
The Chinese Garden of Friendship was the most beautiful garden I have ever had the pleasure of exploring. The photos truly do not do justice to the beauty and serenity of the garden. Before I knew it, I had already spent over 3 hours just wandering along the paths and losing myself amongst the plants and gorgeous architecture. I can't wait to come back again, and again, and again. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
Krystal E — Google review
Lovely garden, very tranquil and relaxing with several small waterfalls. Around the paths there are many different types of flowers and trees, some ducks, turtles, dragonfly, koi fish and lots of lizards. That would be 5/5. However at exactly 4:29 a staff walked up and said that they were closing in 3 minutes. I noted the time and rushed through the final area and took a few more photos, he came up and said "Well get a move on" so I checked the time, it hasn't even been 1 minute. So I'm reducing a star for not telling us they close early, no reason given, and rushing us out in less time than he said. This happened on Saturday 27 Sept 2025.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. An abundance of plants with Information signs about them. Pavilions to sit in and relax, ponder. A pavilion for dining is there and I highly recommend it. The food is extremely tasty.

A very tranquil, beautiful Chinese landscape garden. Definitely one of the best designed and best maintained I've ever seen outside of China. Maybe the largest I've been ever seen as well, although I'm sure it's not the largest outside of China. Lots of lizards enjoying it here as well. Only downside: on a hot day, it's a bitter hotter in the garden than outside of it, but there are plenty of shaded spots and there's some wind despite the walls and buildings surrounding it. It took me around 1 hour to very leisurely walk through the whole garden, take in the views and take scenic pictures. And another hour to really enjoy it, sit down here and there, etc. So if you're just here for sightseeing, 1 hour will be plenty of time, everyone else should probably plan 2-3 hours or more if you plan to enjoy a meal or some afternoon tea in the tea room.
Sandro M — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous gardens. So much to see, I spent hours in there walking around and finding all kinds of hidden little spots to view. A great place to have a picnic as there are little areas with seating to sit back and enjoy and listen to the sounds. I can't believe that it is surrounded by the city. It's so peaceful and beautiful.
Karen D — Google review
What a gem. Such a beautiful, peaceful place to walk around. If I lived in Sydney I would buy the annual pass. Koi feeding at 11:30 was also really interesting to watch.
Teneile H — Google review
It is a nice garden set up with typical traditional Chinese architecture, bonsai plants and water features. However the $12 entry is steep given the size and state of maintenance (for example the water is all very green and has a film on top). The opening hours are also a negative, coming into summer in Sydney it would be quite a nice place to relax into golden hour but they have a strict 5pm closing time. The water dragons are everywhere and quite comfortable with people.
Trevor A — Google review
It’s a beautiful hidden oasis from the city. I’ve been coming here since the I was a kid in the 90s living interstate. Being dragged along by my parents and relatives. Now I’m back dragging my own kid through the garden. It’s as beautiful and as calming as I remembered it. Well worth the visit.

Spanning 20 hectares, it serves as the gateway to various tourist hotspots including SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, IMAX theatre, Australian National Maritime Museum, WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo, and the Chinese Garden of Friendship.
Nice to good for a ferry ride, a boat ride and walk along this harbour. You can see the famous opera house, and the beautiful scene and feel the vibes of Sydney. The fireworks will be easily seen from the area and that marks a memorable time to be there with you loved ones.

Even on a cloudy day, Darling Harbour has a special charm. The grey skies seemed to soften the light over the water, giving the whole area a calm, peaceful feel. The reflections on the harbour looked almost silver, and the gentle breeze made it a perfect day for a slow walk along the waterfront. Cafés were cozy and welcoming, ideal for grabbing a warm coffee and sitting by the window to enjoy the view. The atmosphere was relaxed, with locals and tourists alike taking in the scenery and street performances. The mix of boats, water, and city skyline gives the place such a unique energy, even without the sunshine. Whether you’re after a quiet coffee, a nice meal by the water, or just a scenic stroll, Darling Harbour is beautiful in any weather. The cloudy sky only added a touch of serenity to the experience.

Koala Park Sanctuary Sydney is a 10-acre wildlife park featuring lush rainforest and eucalyptus groves, providing a home to various Australian animals such as koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, wallabies, emus, wombats, and native birds. The sanctuary offers numerous opportunities for visitors to interact with the animals through keeper-led presentations and photo sessions.
Cannot believe how amazing this place is. From outside it looks quite unassuming so we drove past it numerous times and didn’t visit until now. The animals are so lovely and interactions are simply magical memory. Even the cafe food are nice. Easily had a great relaxing time with animals in a natural setting.

Much better than expected, great value. They have a good range of animals and several places you can pet the animals at no extra cost. Informative keeper talks and you can get up close to almost all the animals. The one star lost is that this place is not disability friendly. The pavement is old and uneven so wheelchairs and anyone unsteady on their feet may have a hard time getting around. The established trees name this place feel like you are in the remote bush with these animals, a great experience.
Upgrtan G — Google review
I had a lovely time, went by myself and stayed ~4 hours. The part that surprised me most was the staff, they were so very human. I've been to many wildlife sanctuaries where the staff are just worker drones, but here EVERY staff member will happily talk. Especially enjoyed the fact that they didn't "pretend to know" things, one lady even told me she wasn't sure of an answer to my question so she wrote it down on a notepad so she could research and know for future reference. I'm so happy to see young, passionate people in fields like this.

Koala Park is an okay place to spend a couple of hours, but it’s not something I’d call a must-visit. The koala show was definitely the best part—the presenter explained everything very clearly and made it easy to understand, which was enjoyable. Apart from that, the park felt quite limited. There weren’t many other animals or activities to keep things exciting, so after the show, there wasn’t much to explore. It’s fine if you’re already in the area and want a short outing, but I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip just for this. Overall, a decent experience mainly for the koala show, but not much beyond that.
T J — Google review
The park is well mainitained. The map given at the entrance is bit confusing and seems odd at few locations but one can figure out by proactively walking around. There are nice information session conducted by the staff. There are nice activities for kids. They can feed the kangaroos and pet them. You can buy the food for kangaroos at the entrance. In case you have forgotten, there is ample food available in the kangaroos section. You can use that to feed them. Overall, a good experience.
Ahmad U — Google review
Amazing place that is extremely underrated. We had a wonderful time feeding the kangaroos, going for a walk with a dingo and taking photos standing next to the koalas. The grounds are neatly kept and the animals well taken care of. Would recommend to anyone showing overseas guests around who would like to have an up close and personal experience with Ausie animals.
Danielle B — Google review
Well worth the time to get here, great variety of animals, very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Attended the Koala talk which was a great opportunity to get closer to them. You can feed the kangaroos too which was very worth it. Cafe food was nice. Would definitely recommend.
Oli S — Google review
LOVED THIS PLACE! It was so cool to visit. You can see a lot of animals from this region. It’s like a zoo. You were able to feed the kangaroos and goats. I felt bad for the goats because they were neglected compared to the kangaroos as I personally would prefer to feed the kangaroos instead too, but I wanted to give some to the goats as well. It was so cool and fun to feed the kangaroos and they came up to you and ate the food out of your hands. There are also animal shows and you can see the koala bears. They let you get close to the koala bears, but you are not allowed to touch them per the Australia laws. There is also other showings of other animals and a café to eat at if you are hungry. The staff were nice and I was able to get there cheap with public transportation from Bondi Beach. I would definitely go again if I ever got back down to Sydney as it was a very fun experience and as someone said the place is underrated. You can’t expect it to be a nice big zoo and extremely organized, but the price that you pay is worth it if you want to feed the kangaroos and see koala bears and more. I’m so happy that I found this place on the Internet and went to it as it was an experience that I will never forget.

Feel the temperature change as they drop down into the lush green coolness along the creeks and streams, shaded by the canopy above. Listen to the Kookaburras as they fly above amongst the trees. There are various picnic areas as well as a Cafe with a great choice of food. There is also a Treetops Adventure area for those who want to get up into the trees.

Beautiful oasis in the suburbs with its' own microclimate and gorgeous canopy. Multiple hiking trails and adequate parking, does get fairly busy on holidays.

Went for a nature’s walk at Cumberland Forest Reserve. A feature of this walk is the tall native trees and Cabbage Tree Palms. As well as cool gullies and ferns there is plenty of birdlife in the forest. Cumberland State Forest is the only urban forest in Australia. Adventure- Tree top adventure, I haven’t tried but do check time and price should you wish on their website Walks - There are 3 main walks , easy to moderate and you can pick any one or more. Parking- You can park at the start of the Reserve or drive to this scenic loop , Plenty of parking places. I parked at the information centre which will be the last car park and close to cafe . Food - Amazing cafe with delicious food and relaxing interior.

What a great place for relaxation. Beautiful maintained BBQ area's. I love the garden centre. And the best part is that you can bring your dog along for the day with the family. (🐕 on leash) Restrooms🚻 could do with extra cleaning. And hand wash should be provided at all restrooms.

Followed gps to find the road it was taking us (Bryant I think) was blocked off so was very frustrating find the place as we have never been before. But once we found where it was it was quite cute. Very cheap plants compared to any other nurseries. Very good quality plants considering the cheapness. Just don't get your soils here as they are twice the price as bunnings for the exact same stuff Very helpful staff were there. Didn't get to try but there is a little Cafe there incase you want to rest your feet after a day's spending.

Serene treed area, you can be apart from the noise & traffic for a while. BBQ areas, lots of 'room's in different areas of the Bush. The cafe is very busy weekends, parking spaces can be hard to find. The nursery has a huge array of plants, lots of natives, staff extremely helpful.

McDonald's

$$$$cheap
Fast food restaurant
Classic, long-running fast-food chain known for its burgers & fries.
Great hot food. Depending on what time you go it can be crowded. I had no problem with services. Apart from the kiosk machine doesn't print off receipts. Over all awesome places to get fast food.
Jessica — Google review
I went at a quiet time so there were only 3 orders I. Queue including mine. Opened up the burger box to see this. Fish burgers are tiny these days. Could have spent an extra half a second to put it together properly. You don't even get a full slice to cheese any more. You get a little 1 inch strip down middle.
Grant — Google review
I usually grab my coffee from this Macca’s, but lately there’s been way too much foam—almost a third of the cup. I mentioned it to the manager last time, but nothing’s changed. Bit disappointing to keep paying full price and not getting a proper coffee. Hope it gets sorted soon.
Mohd F — Google review
Food is always bloody cold. You order and while you’re waiting for other things all the food is just sitting in the counter by the time you get it all it’s stone cold. The amount of money they charge these days it would be nice to have hot food. Rousehill store is probably the worst McDonald’s store around. Even if it’s mentioned to management in the nicest most polite way it just gets swept under the rug. Pull your head in Rousehill people are paying good money for what they want.
Susan W — Google review
Makes their customers wait until the manager JASMEEN is done flirting with other staff to then only serve them. They actually make eye contact with the customers waiting and continue talking and laughing. Yuck. The drink I got was water down and had no flavour…what are we doing.
Leane J — Google review
The fountain soft drinks are atrocious. I mean this form the top of my heart. The soft taste too diluted, it's like they put 5% syrup and 95% just carbonated water. I'm not exaggerating. I feel so bad that I wasted my money on disgusting diluted soft drink. Manager, what are you thinking? I'm never spending my money here ever again.
Coolcat6778 — Google review
food was so bad. The burger came sloppy with the tomatoes slices cut from the end. The chicken tasted cheap. The cheese slice was a weird color and texture (probably expired). The workers were distracted and took way too long to give it.
Shikha M — Google review
Review for McDonald's – Rouse Hill Town Centre Disappointed is an understatement. Not only has the value dropped—24 nuggets used to cost $11.99, now it's 20 nuggets for $15.85—but the quality has taken a hit too. The nuggets I received were dry, stale, and tasted almost dehydrated. To make matters worse, the service was shockingly poor. I waited 25 minutes for just nuggets, even though the food was clearly ready. Staff seemed more interested in chatting than serving, attending to one customer at a time only when they felt like it. This experience was frustrating and far below the standard you'd expect from McDonald's. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.

The beach offers a laid-back vibe with rock pools, well-patrolled waters ideal for families and surfers of all levels, and a range of eateries and bars nearby.
Very nice beach......but it is NOT a nudist beach, this is apparently frowned upon.....and the snapping turtles are relentless (this act alone may be the reason that its not a nudist beach)

Lovely beach, absolutely beautiful except the crane spoiling the view but hopefully will be not long to go away. Yes, will be visiting over and over again. South Cronulla a bit too small for my liking but North Cronulla is wow.

It was packed when we went there so the swimming area(between the two flags) has very limited space for people. The waves are quite aggressive too, but it was a great beach otherwise.

This scenic stroll offers mesmerizing views of the ocean, with its crystal-clear waters and soft white sands inviting you to explore further. Families can take advantage of the nearby Shelly Beach Rock Pool, a safe haven for little ones to splash around while enjoying the sun.

This walkway connects Cronulla Park and it's beach where the lifesavers club is located to Shelly beach and Oaks Park. Beautiful homes and condos lined up the path with excellent view of the sea and the soothing sound of its waves pounding the beach.

This walk is quite similar to the famous Bondi to Coogee walk, but without the constant ups and downs, making it a little more relaxing while still just as breathtaking. Along the way, you’ll pass by some stunning coastal houses that are worth admiring as you stroll. The path also takes you past several beautiful beaches, each perfect for a quick stop or swim. I personally recommend taking a break at Shelly Beach — in my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Sydney, and the atmosphere there is just unbeatable.

I love this walk. Beautiful views and clear pathways. A few options along the way for food, drinks, and restrooms. Plenty of benches around to rest. A few rock pools. Nice and clean. Easy walk and mostly flat. There seems to be plenty of parking on weekdays. The train and busses do connect to the area, making it easily accessible.

A Perfect Family Outing Last weekend, my partner, our little one, and I set out for a leisurely stroll along the Cronulla Beach Walk—and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Here’s why it’s our new favourite family adventure. From the moment we began at North Cronulla, the wide, smooth promenade made pushing our pram effortless. There are gentle inclines, clear distance markers, and plenty of room to chat side-by-side without worrying about uneven ground. Halfway along, we paused at a patrolled section of sand where lifeguards keep watch in peak season. We dipped our toes while our baby splashed happily in the shallow water—perfect for peace of mind and sandy giggles. With a babe in tow, it helps to have options: we found shaded benches overlooking the surf, public showers to rinse off, and clean restrooms just steps from the sand. It made nappy changes and snack breaks a breeze. My partner and I treated ourselves to takeaway flat whites and açai bowls at a beachfront café. They wrapped everything up neatly so we could sip and stroll—our little one even snuck a bite of banana puree between sips! Further along the walk is a lovely playground nestled among Norfolk pines. We parked the pram, let our baby explore the swings, and enjoyed a picnic on the nearby grass—complete with barbecues and dappled shade. Watching the foamy waves roll in, hearing our baby’s delighted coos, and feeling the salt breeze together—it was the perfect way to reconnect as a family outside the usual routine. Whether you’re with little ones, toddlers, or grown-ups only, the Cronulla Beach Walk delivers: it’s safe, beautiful, and packed with conveniences for families. If you’re after a stress-free, picturesque outing with your partner and baby, this is the spot to make those sunny weekend memories! Ps there was a sausage stall with chiken sausage! I am still finding there page . But cant find them they have theeee Maizing fooood ! It was oktoberfest something bit too good !!

I can’t say enough good things about this beach! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The sand is unbelievably soft and powdery — the kind that doesn’t burn your feet or cling too much when it’s time to head home. The water is crystal clear with the most stunning shades of turquoise and deep blue, and you can see small fish swimming right near the shore. It’s the kind of place that instantly melts your stress away. The beach is wonderfully clean and well-maintained. There are plenty of trash bins and recycling stations, which made me appreciate how much effort goes into keeping it pristine. The lifeguards are friendly, attentive, and clearly care about everyone’s safety without being intrusive. I also loved that there are plenty of shaded spots under palm trees and umbrellas to take a break from the sun, yet the open stretches of sand give you all the space you need for beach games or simply relaxing. One of the highlights for me was the calm, gentle waves — perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and even floating around lazily with a drink in hand. If you’re into snorkeling, you’ll love the nearby reef where you can see colorful coral and vibrant marine life just a short swim away. There are also rental shops close by offering kayaks, jet skis, and beach chairs at reasonable prices, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The nearby cafes and beach bars were a pleasant surprise too. The food was fresh and delicious — especially the seafood — and the sunset cocktails were absolutely perfect while watching the sky transform into a watercolor masterpiece. There’s something magical about the atmosphere here; everyone seems relaxed, happy, and genuinely enjoying the moment. Whether you’re a solo traveler looking for peace and quiet

What an absolute gem of a place! Location is beautiful and service is very good! I had a group booking for a milestone birthday of high tea and everyone enjoyed the experience! Cute china teacups, teapots, delicious finger food and cakes with a big, soft, homemade scones with cream & jam!! We could BYO champagne which added a bit more sparkle! Highly recommend the HIGH TEA !

This is a very sweet little cafe in a garden setting with delightful treats to eat. The pretty teacups and plates make it extra special. The scones with jam and double cream were delicious. A little cold in Winter due to breeze and open doors but rugs are available and you can ring ahead to ask for a corner spot out of the draft.

I had my bridal shower/ kitchen tea at the Jade Teahouse yesterday and could not wait to leave a review! Everything was set up so nicely, all I had to do was add the small things I had bought along. We met here for a bookclub meeting over breakfast and as always, there were options. Vegan options. But with some left over toast I asked for some jam and I tell you what, their homemade jam is a thick, gooey, crimson paste with the freshest taste of berry I’ve ever had. It’s divine!!! Divine!!! I want a jar, a bucket, half a car of the stuff. It’s not too sweet and it’s more like a fruity berry compote without any of the liquid. Amazing. You nailed it. Ps - I’d love a few more vegan options.

Absolutely fantastic teahouse nestled at the top of Camelia Gardens. Their range of premium teas is outstanding and second to none and the have regular and weekly special blends. Jade Teahouse is in the beautiful quiet Camellia Gardens. I arrived there, not knowing it was closing time soon. I ordered the Devonshire tea set. The scone was warm and soft with the right of sweetness of the jam to match it. The service was faultless. The ladies serving us were lovely and friendly and gave us a takeaway pack just in case we were unable to finish the food (didn’t happen ☺️). Highly recommend!

We did the 90-minute beginners tour with our six-year-old and loved it! Bruce, our guide, was great – super knowledgeable about the area and shared lots of interesting little facts along the way. The route itself was perfect for beginners – calm, easy to follow, and with gorgeous scenery the whole way. It was such a fun and relaxed way to spend the morning, and even our little one managed it with no trouble. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something family-friendly and a bit different to do in Bundeena.

My husband and I booked a beginners guided tour with them and had an amazing experience we'll never forget. It was our first time ever trying kayaking and neither of us can swim that well. We had been thinking of taking it up for the longest of time but had been too afraid. Through their training and guidance, they made it feel so easy and so enjoyable that we have now become confident enough to go kayaking by ourselves. Thank you so much for helping us get over our fears and to actually enjoy the experience. Amazing team, amazing place, and everything was just perfect ❤️ PS: besides a kind and friendly guide we also got a personal photographer. Thanks Marnie for the tour and the beautiful photographs of us trying kayaking for the first time.

Hazelhurst Arts Centre, located in the heart of the Shire, is a hidden gem offering an enchanting experience for art enthusiasts, families, and groups. The center features beautiful gardens providing a tranquil setting for picnics and outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy hands-on pottery classes and explore the current exhibition "Lost in the Forest," showcasing exquisite textile techniques and embroidery stitches by artist Amy Jones. Additionally, Hazelhurst Cafe offers a nourishing lunch with vintage decor.
I love to take local and overseas visitors to see the Hazelhurst Gallery and Hazel Cafe This week visited on Monday and decided to have lunch. We were slightly concerned that one of the party was a vegan. Seemed like all stops were pulled out and the vegan was made something very much in line with his food requirements. The two ladies had a beautiful barramundi dish. We enjoyed the fact there was music but it didnt interfere with our being able to have a chat. Staff at the cafe attentive and welcoming. Visitors loved to see this beautiful place with an exhibition in situ and classes in some of the studios being enjoyed. A fabulous lunch and service. Thank you Hazel.

Some Sydney friends and I met up at the Hazelhurst cafe on a Sunday in July. We were there for brunch. Atmosphere - relaxed. A bit chic but in a very Australian, arty way. Service - friendly and efficient. They had a big baby shower setting up along side the open tables, so people were very busy (but organised). We were able to enjoy a good hour or so catching up and did not feel rushed. Food - coffee and hot cakes all around. Very nice, and they let one of our party who is very unwell and unable to eat much have the kid's size meal. This was really appreciated. Price - I thought quite reasonable. We did not get a Sunday surcharge.

It's not the first time I've been here, so this is my second time coming here for a very long time. The first time I was here was probably at least five years ago. The arts are still there. Maybe some have changed, and some stayed, and the cafe is still there and hasn't changed as always. There's a walk outside which it was a nice sunny but little cold day and there's some bins in around some areas we had a nice time there.

The cafe, nestled within is a creative masterpiece in itself and the gardens are perfect for a post-gallery stroll or a cozy catch-up with friends.

This Hazlehurst Arts Centre was my first time going there with the group. The Arts Centre was very nice , and I saw some cool arts photos hanging out on the walls for people to see for exhibition. There was a garden outside for us to play badminton, although it was a bit wet for us to play in the cold, sunny weather. There are toilets inside the centre for men and women’s or disability people. Parking spaces were available for the disability van driver Tony to park well because it was too narrow on the left side of the car next to the car parked too close to each other. I really enjoyed the arts centre with the group. Recommend going there with family one day. It was a good time

Water & Amusement Parks
Raging Waters Sydney is the ultimate destination for beating the scorching Australian summer heat. This expansive water park, formerly known as Wet n Wild, spans 62 acres and offers a plethora of attractions suitable for visitors of all ages. From adrenaline-pumping slides like the T5 Intense Water Slide to more relaxed experiences such as lazy river tubing, there's something for everyone. The park features 42 slides, a giant wave pool called The Beach, and even a Surf Life Saving Club.
What an exciting day at Raging Waters Sydney! The park is packed with fun and thrilling rides — from heart-racing slides to relaxing water attractions, there’s something for everyone. The wave pool and lazy river were perfect for chilling out, and the bigger slides definitely got the adrenaline going! The place is well-maintained, the staff were helpful, and there’s plenty of space to enjoy with friends or family. If you’re looking for a fun day out with water adventures and great vibes, this is the place. Highly recommend for both kids and adults! ☀️🌊

I went to raging waters at prospect. It’s a lovely place to go with the whole family. It has so many different things you could do. There is a world pool, different slides, a beach, dinosaur island. Plenty of water features and water areas for the kids. Lots of facilities, ice creamery, cafe, shops. Lots of areas to rest and relax. Lots of life guards. I just thought it was a very expensive $15 for parking, $65 for entry, frozen drink was like $10, 2 tiny scoops of ice cream was $10, chips were like $12 for a large. All the shops were very short staffed I waited 40 minutes for chips. Every time i needed something I waited a long line spent half my time there waiting in line. Should consider getting more staff for the food shops during peak days.
Ece K — Google review
We spent a full day at Raging Waters Sydney and honestly, it was one of the best family outings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the energy was vibrant and exciting — the park is clean, well laid out, and there’s something for absolutely everyone. The ride variety is impressive. We loved the thrill slides like the T5 and 360Rush — intense, fast, and so much fun. My partner and I took turns doing the big rides while the kids splashed around in the children’s areas, which are really thoughtfully designed with safety and fun in mind. The wave pool (“The Beach”) was a hit with all of us — a great place to relax in between rides and just soak up the sun. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff friendliness. Lifeguards and attendants were attentive, patient, and seemed genuinely happy to help, which made a big difference — especially on a warm, busy day. Lines for the rides were reasonable for a weekend; we did wait a bit for the major attractions, but it moved steadily and didn’t feel frustrating. Food was decent for a theme park — a bit pricey, but the variety was better than expected, and everything we had was fresh and hot. I recommend bringing a water bottle and using the refill stations — super convenient and helps avoid buying bottled water. We rented a locker and found the facilities to be modern and easy to use. Parking was smooth, and we appreciated that everything was well signposted and organised. I’d definitely recommend arriving early to make the most of your day — and consider a cabana or reserved area if you want a more private base for your group. All in all, Raging Waters Sydney exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect place for both adrenaline seekers and families with young kids. We’re already planning to come back next season — might even grab season passes next time. Highly recommended!

Great park, awesome atmosphere. The slide lineup at Raging Waters Sydney is pretty impressive and it has something for everyone. The food options are as you'd expect from a theme park with hot chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc. The prices for tickets and season passes are definitely reasonable. The only downside is the lack of investment in new attractions. A new slide tower would be very much appreciated for someone who goes each year. It has been too long since any new slides have been installed and would really benefit from some new intense slides.

Dear raging waters I be much appreciative if you could reply it was fantastic waterpark but however there’s lot silde s you can’t go solo and there was individual person who was solo and they try to share tube with group and one person in that group said no sorry when ride operator asked group if they could share and I know person saying no doesn’t know person and isn’t responsible to share but it was only sharing slide for two minutes it wasn’t like they were being told to share silde s for rest of day with stranger and I just think it’s unfair there’s not many solo rides anymore as people pay good money and they can’t get there money worth and I think before you pay online there should be warning that’s it’s strongly recommended you come with ride partner or otherwise you might not be given you full experience and understand rules are rules and I know person who said no sorry might not necessarily meant to be rude and might just be more case off not feeling comfortable with stranger sharing tube and our group agree to share with solo individual. But however poor solo individual did feel bit upset and solo individual did come to waterpark thinking they would able get on more rides solo and it’s fantastic park and staff were wonderful but just saying I do think might be worth while if there’s something on site before you pay online that’s it’s advise you come with partner to water park . Thanks for reading if you do and this is not complaint but I just wanted to put it out there to save people feeling disappointed if they come solo and might be better for them to not come solo and come other time when possible to have swimming partner with them . I would really appreciated if you could respond thanks .

We came on Saturday 4th of Jan on a hot day. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the staff were diligent. Our young son loved the Junior area. Wait times were not too bad considering the amount of people at the water park. The food queues were at a minimum as I think a lot of people bring their own food. It was my first time here and I must say everything exceeded my expectations and i will definitely be back again
Ellena V — Google review
Absolute money making business- The queues are so long you spend most of the day waiting. Charging $15 to park your car, on top of an exorbitant entry fee. Overseas we paid $30 for entry to a waterpark with under 5 minutes waiting time, free parking, friendly staff who all took the time to make it enjoyable. Another water park we went to with inflatable course cost us just $3 each for the entire day. These prices are just ridiculous. Surely it must be closing down soon.
C R — Google review
I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly! If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

Wattamolla Beach is a picturesque and popular destination located in the Royal National Park, just an hour south of Sydney. It offers a serene sandy lagoon for swimming and shaded picnic sites, making it an ideal spot for a post-hike relaxation. The beach is an overachiever with its waterfall and clear emerald water, attracting visitors seeking a secluded oasis of natural beauty.
The scenery here is absolutely stunning. On one side, there's a serene freshwater stream with a gentle, picturesque waterfall. On the other, you'll find the sea, lined with striking moss-covered rock formations. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a beachside BBQ. I highly recommend having a picnic here to fully appreciate the beauty of nature!

One of my favorite places in all of Australia. So beautiful. So serene. I can't believe I grew up in Sydney and only went for the first time a couple years ago. It's definitely worth the drive.
Arden P — Google review
It’s a wonderful place! I went during the week with my kids and loved it. The water was calm, and near the shore it was warm and very clear — you could even see the fish while walking around. We visited on a weekday, so there were very few people, and it was very easy to access — just a short 3-minute walk from the parking area to the beach.
Daniela G — Google review
Wattamolla Beach is an absolute gem! From the stunning blend of beach, lagoon, and waterfall to the peaceful natural surroundings—it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day out. The views are simply breathtaking, and it feels like a hidden paradise not too far from the city. We enjoyed the calm waters of the lagoon, and the little walk to the lookout was totally worth it. Great spot for a picnic, swimming, or just unwinding with family. Definitely a place I’d love to visit again and again!
Milan H — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous beach located close to the walking tracks and BBQs. 4 parking levels available on site, but the place is so incredibly popular during the weekends that if you come after 9 am, all parking would most likely be full. S, plan accordingly. BBQs use gas and open fires are often not permitted. No puppies are allowed in the National Parks in NSW. You can swim in the creek or the sea. Very safe for little kids.

Westfield Liverpool

Shopping mall
Shopping
Westfield Liverpool is Sydney's most popular shopping mall, boasting both global brands and local favorites. It features a food court, arcade, cinemas, and plenty of seating for shoppers. There are two drawbacks to the mall: the music is too loud and it can be crowded.
Westfield Liverpool is one of my favourite places to shop and relax. The 4-hour free parking is super convenient, and the different entrances to the car parks make it easy to access different parts of the centre. I especially like parking on the G level — it’s really handy for getting to Coles, the fresh food and lots of small restaurants. Always a pleasant experience coming here!

Nick N — Google review
Westfield Liverpool is a really convenient and busy shopping centre with just about everything you need in one place. From big retailers like Myer, Target, and Kmart to supermarkets and plenty of specialty stores, it’s easy to do all your shopping in one trip. The food court has a wide variety of choices, from quick bites to family-friendly meals, and there are also some nice cafes if you just want to sit and relax. The centre itself is clean and well-maintained, though it can get very crowded on weekends, so parking sometimes takes a bit of patience. On the plus side, the car park is large and fairly well-organized, and the staff around the centre are usually helpful. Overall, Westfield Liverpool is a good mix of shopping, dining, and services—it’s definitely a go-to spot for locals in the area.
Khleq N — Google review
Always a good and clean Westfield, since 1996. I have recently discovered a pop-up store for orthotic insoles. I was impressed after I read the booklet and decided to buy the work shoes and insoles. The price was dear but they are worth more than I bought them for. Having a permanent work spine injury, shoes bought from there are helping me with my everyday tasks. One of the main things I was unable to do was to walk long distances. Thankfully, I can stand and every day more since I bought them. It is a miracle that I didn't know it existed, for too many years. Highly recommended.
I V — Google review
Walking areas are spacious, the area was spotless and the staff were very helpful when I asked for directions. Signage was clear and often. It also didn't overdo things like many centres do making them feel way too busy.
Patrick N — Google review
Wow, great to see this amazing initiative by Westfield Liverpool, what a great welcome and introduction to this initiative by the lovely staff, truly love the experience, the energy is fabulous, looking forward to win the prize. Thank you Westfield Liverpool. 💓💓💓
Abdul R — Google review
I really enjoy coming to Westfield Liverpool. The four hours of free parking for members is a great perk, giving me plenty of time to shop, grab a coffee, and enjoy a meal. The mix of stores is fantastic, and the layout is easy to navigate, not too big, so you don’t get worn out. The centre has a welcoming vibe with events celebrating different cultures and fun competitions happening regularly. It’s one of those places that makes shopping easy and enjoyable every time I visit.

Elevated spot for picnics, dramatic sunset views & wildlife, including kangaroos & birds.
**Bald Hill Lookout – Hill End, Sydney, Australia** Bald Hill Lookout is a stunning vantage point located near the historic gold mining town of **Hill End** in New South Wales, Australia—not far from Sydney. It offers visitors panoramic views of the rugged countryside, dramatic escarpments, and the vast Turon Valley below. Known for its raw natural beauty, Bald Hill is a hidden gem that provides an authentic taste of Australia’s landscape, away from the bustling city life. Reaching the lookout involves a short drive from the Hill End village, followed by a brief walk, making it easily accessible for most visitors. The view from the top is truly breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset when the skies light up with warm hues, casting a golden glow over the valleys and distant mountains. The lookout is part of the **Hill End Historic Site**, which is managed by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. This area is steeped in history, as Hill End was a thriving gold rush town in the 1800s. Bald Hill serves not only as a scenic spot but also as a reminder of the area’s rich past, where miners once toiled amidst these hills in search of fortune. Photography enthusiasts often visit Bald Hill for its expansive vistas and ever-changing light. It’s also a peaceful spot for reflection, picnicking, or simply soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of rural Australia. The weather was absolutely perfect- cool, clear, and crisp, making the views even more breathtaking. With plenty of parking ( free parking) getting there was easy and stress-free. The panoramic vista of the ocean, cliffs n grass gave me a heaven-like feeling—calm, awe-inspiring, and unforgettable. It’s one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. I've always dreamed of visiting, and now that I have, I can't wait to go back . Simply magical.

The Grand Pacific Drive is a spectacular 140km coastal road trip from Sydney, showcasing stunning natural beauty and charming towns like Wollongong and Kiama. A highlight is the Sea Cliff Bridge, an architectural marvel that curves over the ocean, offering breathtaking views from its pedestrian walkway. While parts of the drive are narrow and winding, it provides stunning vistas of both the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can walk the bridge, discover scenic lookouts like Stanwell Tops, and explore beautiful beaches and national parks, making it an ideal journey for all types of road trippers. Grand Pacific Drive Overview A Scenic Coastal Journey: The drive stretches 140km, offering a mix of rainforests, rugged cliffs, and pristine beaches, extending from the Royal National Park to the Shoalhaven region. Charming Coastal Towns: The route passes through picturesque coastal towns such as Wollongong, known for its beaches, and Kiama, famous for its blowhole. Breathtaking Vistas: The drive provides a range of photo opportunities, with sweeping views of the ocean on one side and the dramatic cliffs on the other. The Sea Cliff Bridge Highlight An Engineering Feat: The 665-meter-long Sea Cliff Bridge is a feat of engineering, built to provide a safer route along the coast after sections of the old road were prone to rock falls. Over-the-Ocean Experience: The bridge seems to "levitate" above the crashing waves, offering a truly unique driving and walking experience. Walkable and Scenic: A dedicated pedestrian walkway allows visitors to stroll along the bridge, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding coastline.

🌊 Unforgettable Views on the Grand Pacific Drive 🌉 This place is truly breathtaking — a must-see on any trip! The Grand Pacific Drive stole my heart with its dramatic coastal views, winding cliffside roads, and the endless blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. What made it even more magical were the paragliders soaring above. Their colorful parachutes floating in the sky added a surreal touch. Watching them glide gracefully over the cliffs — it was like a dream. You can literally feel your breath catch from the beauty and the height. If you ever have the chance, don’t miss it. Just stop, take it all in, and let the moment live in your heart forever. 💙

Tony and Dan are top blokes!!! First time Hang gliding and felt very comfortable with the team! Tony was funny and cracked a lot of jokes but was also very experienced and professional! The weather forecast didn't look too great so we weren't sure we would be able to fly on the day! We called the team early in the morning on the day as requested in our booking and we were lucky enough that it was a YES!!! What an awesome experience of flying if you are thinking of doing this and reading the reviews trust me and DO IT!!! Thanks so much guys an experience we won't forget!

Flying with Tony was incredible. He communicated with us all day regarding the wind conditions and what we needed to wait for, then when the time was right he setup quickly and efficiently to get us in the air. Tony is patient, calm, and an experienced instructor. He took time to explain how a hang glider works, and mixed in thrill with calm soaring based on our comfort level. He setup great shots for friends standing on the hill, as well as from his attached camera. Thanks Tony! Can't wait to fly with you again.

We flew with Hangglide Oz as our 2 year wedding anniversary celebration and couldn't be happier. The team is just fantastic. Experienced, friendly and fun! They're happy to give you all the information you need to feel confident and relaxed. And the flight itself, wow! You really feel like you can fly. This is a priceless experience everyone should do at least once in their lives. After flying with them, we're so excited we want this for life and will be pursuing licenses for ourselves! Thank you, HangglideOZ! All the best to the whole crew!

My girlfriend and I are in NSW for a week and I saw this hang gliding company on the map. I missed an opportunity to go last month and was super stoked to see they had it here. I reached out to Tony via text the night before and he got back to me pretty quickly. He was able to work with us on the price a bit for a shorter flight and got us all set pretty informally which was nice given the last minute nature of the request. Tony is a great guy and straightforward with you. It can be pretty scary running off the side of a cliff with something that looked like it was just a tent in a bag just 20 minutes prior, but he gave us the comfort we needed to take on the challenge. The flight was AMAZING. This is a beautiful place to hang glide and I am sure Tony even have us extra time on our flight. Tony made our first hang gliding experience a total success and for a great price.

I loved it so much and you will too. I went here with Rovers as part of the 2020 CBR Moot, and they had no problem organising all 20 of us who were hang gliding. We were taken up 4 at a time, and we got to see breathtaking views of the Wollongong coast while breathing the beautifully fresh sea air. We took off from a spot on the edge of a steep drop off, before sailing up and into the freedom of flight. We all got to control ourselves for a while, and spent around 20 minutes each soaring up and down the rich green hills. At the end of our flights we soared over to a nearby beach and landed softly on the Wollongong sand. We were then dropped back off to our launching point, and another 4 people went up. I'll definitely be back, and might get qualified to go solo. Definitely go, because you'll love it.

We felt like eagles floating above a beautiful landscape and never too old for an adrenaline rush and a truly once in a lifetime challenge.

Symbio Wildlife Park offers a warm, engaging wildlife experience. I often take overseas visitors here and it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the animals. Their enthusiasm really shows when they talk about each animal’s behaviour and personality. On our last visit, my son absolutely loved the Meerkat encounter. The park is clean, well maintained, and has great picnic areas with plenty of shade. You can comfortably spend a few hours or a whole day. For families, the adventure playground and water play area are fantastic for keeping kids entertained. Highly recommended if you're visiting Wollongong or the NSW South Coast.

Flagstaff Point Lighthouse, also known as Wollongong Head Lighthouse, is a scenic spot to stop while exploring Wollongong’s coastline. It offers fantastic views over the ocean and Wollongong Harbour, making it a popular place for photography and a relaxing stroll. There is plenty of free parking nearby, which makes it easy to access even with larger vehicles during the day. However, overnight parking is not allowed, so it’s best enjoyed as a short visit. For those interested in local heritage, the site also has a bit of history about the lighthouse to learn from plaques and displays. Combined with the fresh sea breeze, it’s an enjoyable and educational stop.

Great place for a walk and enjoy some fresh air. Looks to be a good place to take your dog for a walk. As a family of 4 with two kids (and no dogs) we decided to settle for another beach in Wollongong for a swim.

Blue skies for days. Couldn’t resist a dip at Port Kembla beach in Dharawal country. Water clear & blue again. Waves perfectly formed but with their force broken by a well-placed rocky outcrop. Would come back to snorkel around it.

There are 3 spots you should visit at this area. 1. The lookout at the left turning which I personally think has the most beautiful view. 2. Lookout hill 60 which is the one on the right, where the BBQ area is. 3. Drive further down heading towards the sewage plant and you will find a nice walking path to the beach. The walks to the main destinations are short and easy. The views are guaranteed to be worth your time but be warned that you may end up spending longer than you have planned especially if you are with little kids who just love beaches! Great area for fishing too but remember to always take safety precautions if you are doing rock fishing as the waves can be strong.

Amazing experience watching the whales go by, breathtaking and beautiful watching these amazing creatures splashing away expecially mumma and her precious calf. What a wonderful experience and memory. Yesterday around 1030am, sunday

Great place to see around. The rescue center balcony is open to visitors between designated hours and offers another great view of around.

It was a wild windy day when I came to the lookout. The views were beautiful and I can imagine it would be magical at sunrise and on a sunny day. There are views to Five Islands, Fisherman’s Beach and the industrial area at Port Kembla. There was also plenty of car parks available and I saw pelicans flying in the windy air.

Absolutely stunning viewing point that gives you a great view of everything around you. You can easily get here using public transport (10 min climb pictured) or by car. You can also go down to the beach to see the rocks but it's a fairly steep climb down and back up, there's a road to do that if you came by car.
