This is a stunning spot to visit at sunset. There's some fencing and the viewing area could be a little more clear. Well worth visiting when in the area.

Don’t follow Google Maps. There’s a parking lot just before you arrive. From there, it’s a short trail and you’ll reach the river in about 5 minutes. There’s a bench, but the area isn’t really suitable for a picnic. I recommend just grabbing a drink and enjoying the view.

Spend a lovely few hours exploring along the Murray, East of Mildura. Ended up on top of the cliffs at Red Cliffs. This is a lovely, tidy and clean area.
Tom G — Google review
Worth the couple of minutes walk to see the views.
Chris R — Google review
Parking at start of the trail. Short walk to a well maintained boardwalk. Stunning views of the Murray River and the Red Cliffs at the viewing platform.
Yatpool Y — Google review
Only 4 stars as the new steel stairway doesn't give you access to the Murray river to have the dog swim at a very hot day...
Erwin B — Google review
Great views over the Murray
Mark D — Google review
Its a beautiful place and a natural wonder, the red cliffs, watching the sunset here even more special, but just to tell don't go from this location as it is not really accessible you need to go from the river boardwalk location in Google maps which is the accessible way.

A little out the way inbetween to major towns of Mildura and Swan hill. Well worth a trip out to support a local business. A small quaint little cellar door with a nicely kept entrance. Staff member was friendly. Free tastings were offerd as usual all fine tasting wine. Must visit if in the area

Excellent wine and great customer service but I think the parking could be improved.

Love our sunset tour with German! He made lots of stops along the way, provided ample info, and brought lots of beverages and snacks! Such a gorgeous place to be and appreciated having such an experienced guide, especially driving at dusk with all the animals! He def loves animals and is passionate about what he does.
Emma L — Google review
Amazing guide and great knowledge about the animals and area. Supplied lunch was perfect. Highly recommend
Lindsay P — Google review
Has a great tour to Mungo National Park with German yesterday with a lovely couple also from Queensland, we had a wonderful day, German is a fantastic guide and happy to share information and experiences along the way. Lunch was yum and loved dessert 🍨. Saw a variety of wildlife and gave way to several lizards crossing the road, Walls of China are amazing, will definitely be back to explore some more. Thanks German and yes I now proudly have a "I Brake for Wildlife" sticker on my van. 😊🐑🦜🦘
Robyn G — Google review
Our Tour guide stopped for all wildlife and we were able to see blue tongue, stumpy tail, eastern bearded dragons and lizards. We saw hawks and wedge tailed eagles, white fronted chats, major Mitchell cockatoos, a kingfisher, emus and kangaroos. We know how rare much of our wildlife is and we felt so lucky that our tour guide, Herman, has eagle eyes and a love of wildlife. And then we saw and explored the Wall of China. Brilliant tour.
Judith B — Google review
Herman was a fantastic guide, friendly and a very experienced driver. The food provided was delicious, plentiful and fresh. Thank you for a fantastic tour!
Ancuta C — Google review
Really really worth it. We took the Sunset tour in summer. It was simply Magical. German is a very friendly tour guide. The evening cuppa and food was good too. Overall Amazing !!!
Nipun S — Google review
Fantastic experience and top notch guide service from German. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. He kept us in the loop throughout the process as our tour was almost cancelled due to bad weather. We ended up going and was treated to the most beautiful view of Walls of China (German likes to call it his office :p). We are very happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend Outback Geo Adventures for anyone who would like to visit Mungo National Park, particularly the Walls of China.
Yoshi K — Google review
Fabulous day out with German (pronounced Herman). He made a long drive short with regular stops to peel back the layers of the outback and show us the diversity in plant and animal life in Mungo National Park. Walking on the dunes was a special experience under the massive skies and continually changing cloud formations. Awesome! And lunch was good too.

Found this inexpensive wine in London. Definitely worth a try.
Antony B — Google review
Wow, we just had the best experience trying the wines at Andrew Peace Winery. Thank you for your hospitality George, from the moment you said hello, we knew this would be a fabulous experience. The wines are great (to which we purchased about 6 boxes … for other people of course!! 🤣🤣) the shared stories, pronunciation & your hospitality is second to none. … thank you & I hope we head this way again, so we can say hello!😁
Prue M — Google review
Amazing value wines! Huge variety available. Best take a snack with you, but they do have BBQ facilities available. A real gem to stop into, don't drive past.
Dave H — Google review
A lovely vineyard cellar door . Very knowledgeable and friendly . Excellent wines gold standard . Very very nice.
Ann — Google review
What a gem, called in today the lovely lady who greeted us was fantastic. Bought some really good wine at great prices and had a lovely chat. Keep up the good work.
Darian L — Google review
Absolutely love Andrew Peace Wines the staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable, we never miss the opportunity to go in to the cellar door when in northern Victoria. We appreciate the Covid safe standards of the staff and winery and understand why they keep the standards so high. We have just returned to S.A after a family funeral and are currently in home quarantine, thanks to Andrew Peace Wines we have just enjoyed a relaxing cheese platter with a Tall Poppy Merlot. Many thanks to Pam for her assistance and patience while we put our selections together.
Julie H — Google review
Dropped in Saturday afternoon and the lovely lady who meet us in the tasting cellar had excellent knowledge of the wines we were tasting. Spent sometime here as there is plenty to taste and plenty to talk about. We purchased some lovely wines and we will be returning before we leave to go home.

Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery is renowned for its extensive collection of Australian naive art, showcasing works by self-taught artists. The gallery itself is a masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the iconic Australian wool shed with its red gum beams and hand-made mud brick walls. Situated by the Marraboor River near the Pioneer Settlement, this purpose-built gallery hosts around 20 exhibitions annually and offers a diverse program of events.
Wonderful always great to cross to NSW
Karen D — Google review
As of July 2025, the gallery is being renovated. A teeny exhibition of 3 works is visible at the public library. Apparently the new gallery will open in Nov 2025. Save yourself the hassle until then.
K J — Google review
A neat presentation of paintings and pottery. A kids section with large pictures to colour in. Toilets too. Gift shop is filled with gift options. The pottery is at arms reach of active babies and toddlers so must have close supervision of them. Just the one room. I'd allow 30 minutes but got to spend 2 minutes appreciating art, having children to supervise instead. Lawns outside are nice for a picnic. Can see paddlesteamer next door (Pioneer Settlement).
Rachael P — Google review
Always fun to visit and they have new things every time I go.
Digby M — Google review
It's a small but eclectic gallery. Many indigenous images and poetry on display. It's near the Little Murray River bank. Entry was free or donations are welcome.

BIG4 Riverside Swan Hill

Outdoor Activities
A relaxed resort by the river, BIG4 Riverside Swan Hill offers simple accommodations with an outdoor pool, cafe, and BBQ area. The park boasts a fantastic setting with plenty of opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating in the lively river. The pool is stunning and there are excellent amenities including a camp kitchen, cabins, and toilets. Situated right along the edge of the park, access to the river is convenient from your campsite.
We stayed for 5 nights during the school holidays & were grateful we could extend an extra night so the kids could re-visit the River Lights experience the next day. It was lovely seeing and hearing the PS Pyap travel up and down the river each night. This caravan park is clean, the staff are friendly and there is easy access to town, a huge local playground for kids and easy walking distance to the Pioneer Settlement. & Spoons Riverside Restaurant. The jumping pillow & pump track kept my two children entertained for hours. I have no doubt that in the summer time the pool would've been a great source of fun too.
Renee — Google review
Stayed here for 3 nights. A really lovely park, with very friendly staff and clean amenities. But they do seem to stack some vans together. Would have been tight up to the next van if we put our awning out. Although, saying that we did ask for a concrete slab, so next time I would maybe ask for room either side. Park appeared less than half full. A walk to Pioneer Settlement and into town centre. Dog friendly too. Would definitely stay there again.
Kris L — Google review
Amazing time here. Privileged to have seen " Melbourne" paddle boat steamer go down the Murray ist time in 60 years from Mildura ( currently in Koondrook) and a once in a lifetime opportunity . A vintage car event was being held and over 200 beautifully restored vechiles around 1900s chugging past our van and touring swan hill . Did the wheat silo trail from lake boga to Woomalang the northern side of mallee region . Through the wheat belt of northern Victoria. Very hot 2 days . Caravan park spacious clean great amenities close to town . Really really nice very popular .Had the time of our life . Andrew Peace vineyard excellent - they export 96% of their wines to O/S market . Lovely nectarine farms and table grape farms . There's still water in some channels and dams but drying up slowly .
Ann — Google review
Absolutely loved it here. Stayed in a cabin opposite the river. We were greeted by ducks every morning, including a cheeky black and white one we named Annabelle. If you see her, please say hi! The service was lovely, the kids park next door was brilliant! Very happy with our stay. Thank you!
Kelly W — Google review
We stayed 2 nights in our camper trailer on a riverside powered site. The location is perfect, the amenities clean and the shower pressure is great. We needed a ladder to combat an issue we had with our camp set up and the staff were very obliging. A short stroll to the Pioneer Settlement and just a few minutes drive to eateries.
Julianne T — Google review
Really nice park, great amenities the only down side is you are cramped in like sardines especially on the river. We have a16ft van and felt like we could see the use by date on our neighbours Corn flakes…All about the dollar. Wouldn’t go back
Brent — Google review
Location is fantastic. We had our a caravan right on the river and didn’t feel closed in by other visitors. Staff very friendly and the coffee shop was what was needed in the morning. Will come back thank you!

Pioneer Settlement & Heartbeat Of The Murray Laser Spectacular

The Pioneer Settlement & Heartbeat Of The Murray Laser Spectacular is a unique outdoor attraction set on the banks of the Little Murray River. It features a world-class 360-degree multi-media show that combines water, lights, lasers, sound, and special effects to narrate the story of the Murray River from 30 million years ago to its present state. This state-of-the-art show is set against the natural backdrop of the river environment.
What a gem. Started with a coffee and food at the Cafe. Beautifully set out pioneer settlement which took about 2 hours to look through. Ride in a vintage car. Just on time to board the Pyap paddle steamer for a wonder river cruise. Lucky enough to get a sunny day. Will head back later for the night entertainment.
Linda W — Google review
Wow! We came to see the pioneer village and decided to see the water/laser show that night and it was 100% worth it. Yes, when you hear the price it seems a bit expensive for a country town but it was worth every cent. The display, attractions and staff were great and the laser show in the evening far exceeded our expectations. If you're passing by, consider staying the night and see the show, you won't be disappointed :-)
Russell P — Google review
We spent a few hours during the day and went back for the Mallee" light show in the evening. What a great way to spend the day. The staff are beautiful, friendly and informative. Once inside the horse drawn carriage and the car are free too. Reasonably priced too.
Deb K — Google review
We had a great time exploring the settlement. Lots of things to see. Hopped on the wagon ride, Rocky (the horse) did a fabulous job of pulling Gus around in the wagon. The driver was lovely as were all the other staff onsite. Had a great ride in an old car. A lady in the gift shop showed us how all the old music played. Had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this.
Julia B — Google review
This is an amazing place to visit in Swan Hill. The old buildings and farming machinery are just fantastic. From tractors to harvesters there is so much history. Make sure you visit the General Store and check out the great selection of sweets and lollies! Also make sure you have a ride in the 100 year old Dodge and the horse drawn carriage.
Darren N — Google review
Thank you to the staff who made my two children's experience wonderful. Mr 8 wanted to stay at the caravan park with his new holiday friends, but once we got him to the Settlement he had a great time! Thanks to Jack for helping my children make a skipping rope, to Ian for the vintage car ride and the lovely gentleman (sorry we didn't catch your name) for letting my kids 'steer' the horse + cart as well as taking our photos. We loved the 2 day re-entry which meant we could come back the following day to explore things we missed the first time around and to have any horse cart ride. The River Lights at night was brilliant. We purchased the laser light show & PS Pyap ride, all were a big hit, as was the free glow in the dark face paint. The snow machine, lights and music down the main street of the settlement created a little bit of magic for our little ones too. My only suggestion would be making the booking process easier. I first purchased River Lights tickets & Pyap ride not realising this didn't include the Pioneer Settlement day tickets. I then paid more to get tickets for the night laser show as I don't believe this was part of the River Lights experience!? I probably ended up paying twice...but I'm really not sure. It was just a bit confusing... Perhaps two different companies were running slightly different events!?
Renee — Google review
Such a fascinating place. Began in the 60s and has been going since. So fortunate to have so many of the historical pieces that built the area and nation more broadly being looked after so well with great information boards (even a couple of original ones from the early days of the exhibits!). Makes you proud of our country and the people who worked so hard to put it together. The tractors and farm machinery were a highlight for me, I could have spent hours more reading. It was good enough for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to visit, so absolutely good enough for any of us too. Best thing in Swan Hill.
Alex L — Google review
Fantastic experience in Swan Hill. A must visit for any history lovers, with some great examples of early machinery and buildings. Had something for everybody and a nice cafe on site. The Pyap cruise was a must, friendly staff and great service. The heartbeat of the Murray light show was fascinating. Overall a great 1 day stop in Swan Hill. Don’t miss the big Murray Cod in the centre of town while visiting.

Well worth the visit to learn about some of our little known but important WW2 history. Great displays and friendly helpful staff. Allow a couple of hours for a reasonable look around. Highly recommend.

Well worth a visit. Great history and lovely staff. Check to see if the cafe is opened in advance. We got caught out as we were going to have lunch there and it was closed !
Leanne H — Google review
The museum is small in size and can be covered in around 60 mins. The talk from the tour guide was very informative and engaging. The museum has the full sized display of the Catalina, which is really worth seeing. Knowing the history behind the Catalina base gives a good perspective on the significance of Lake Boga.
Nikhil K — Google review
Great museum with lots of artefacts (both aircraft parts and RAAF/WAAF memorabilia) and a restored Catalina. Also has the communications bunker set up as it would have been. Highlights the role of Lake Boga in the war effort. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Visit could take 60-90 minutes easily.
Liz H — Google review
To tell the truth we didn't even know what an air boat was before we vosoted Lake Boga but we are glad we did. We were very presently surprised when we visited the museum. The lake itself is lovely and the outside of the museum is unassuming but once you enter you are transported to a world of interesting WW2 memorabilia, a communications bunker and an amazing real Catalina air boat in the massive shed that houses the museum. The museum staff are animated and interesting. They can really answer any question you might have and do so in an interesting way. Their info and enthusiasm towards the history of the area and Austalia's contribution to the war are contagious.
Julie B — Google review
Must visit if you are in the area. I never knew the use of Lake Boga, unless I visited this museum. It also has a real bunker and a real full size airplane. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable.

Interesting historical location This base became highly significant during WW2 but if you want to know more you need to visit There is also a great piece of silo art close by

This was an amazing experience! Found information about my Dad and his war records. Shed a few tears. The Catalina Flying Boat information was outstanding! Never knew about this hidden piece of Australia's war history. The staff were so knowledgeable! Thank you ☺️

Quambatook Silo Cinema

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Silo Cinema is one of our favourite weekend getaway activities. It's very relaxed and has a nice community feel - whether you're local or from miles away. There's always a Men's Shed BBQ, baked potatoes, waffles and coffee. People pour in from all over the place, including some who take a train journey up to Quambatook and stay the night in a sleeper carriage. It is about half an hour from Kerang and not too far from Boort and Swan Hill. For the people who turn up early, there's a secondhand shop in Quambatook that has loads of bric a brac, furniture, clothes, books and other things for sale (including photography books and history books related to the district). There's also a pub with friendly staff, old fashioned counter meals and clean toilets.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Silo Cinema. "The Castle" was great fun to watch again. The Mens Shed cooked rissoles and sausages on the barbie for us and Quambatook Quoffee did delicious stuffed jacket potatoes with coleslaw and sour cream. It's the way they do it at Quamby.....you can just feel the serenity😊

I searched for days until I found Aussie Wool Quilts - Boort. And am I glad I did. Not only were the products I bought amazing, but the service was personal and perfect. I bought a Queen sized underlay and a single blanket warmth Queen sized quilt. OMG. THE BEST NIGHT'S SLEEP I'VE HAD FOR YEARS. I can't recommend the company highly enough. The best thing is that I can stop looking now, because I've found the perfect company, products and service.
Di C — Google review
I was hesitant to buy a wool quilt because of the more recent highlight of abuse in the wool industry...but at the some time it is SO cold and I knew wool was the best choice to keep me warm at night. I was torn. So after some research I found this place. I contacted them asking about their sheep and was contacted straight back with all positive answers...plus the fact you can actually go and visit is reassuring. First night with the quilt last night and it was honestly my first properly warm night this winter! Absolutely love it :)

I purchased a 3 blanket weight QS wool quilt and am WRAPPED!!! I have never been so warm and cosy. And the it's washable! - yay!! And the service was so personalised - it's a family run business and best of all it's 100% Australian wool from local growers and manufactured on site in Boort. Feels so good to be supporting local farmers and Australian business. Thanks so much Ian and Marilyn 😍😍😍 Kathryn

The authentic flavour of olive oil. It reminds me of our family olive oil that we used to produce in Umbria, Italy. I've been buying olive oil from Salute for years now. It's a must have in our kitchen. Thanks for the good work

We are huge fans of Salute Oliva genuine extra virgin olive oil, especially the 2ltr cask. Such a fantastic idea and non drip! We love it so much we dropped in to their cellar door sales when passing through Boort on our 'round Oz trip (and stocked up!) The owners are passionate about their craft and delightful people. Only too happy to support this small Australian business.

It’s taken me a couple of days to process my thoughts on my visit on Wednesday 27/8/25 for lunch with three others. We arrived just before lunch signed in walked around and looked at the menu to decide our lunch order. Two of us went to the counter. On arrival we were waiting in line while the young gentleman was serving a customer. That’s an entirely another story. We ordered our meals of which we had a chicken parmigiana and a chicken burger with salad and chips, roast lamb, and the soup. The chicken parmigiana you were described as a reheat, reheat, reheat, burnt crispy and virtually uneatable with chips that stuck together. The chicken burger was dry, and the chips again were stuck together hadn’t been shaken the overall presentation of the four meals I would write as a -10. It was an absolute disgrace, and I can say that I would never recommend going there for a meal under these conditions to this stage.. I went to a local pub last night. We had four meals and to say the chicken parmigiana was beautifully presented everything on all four plates was outstanding. The price of drinks was nearly half the price of your of your organization. I am writing this so you can take note look at your staff on how they talk to people and how you present the food because it is a disgrace for an organization that prides itself on customers and providing good service thank you.
Neil M — Google review
We were a group of 8 ...we ordered before 7pm and eventually got our meals at 9pmand later...like really? By that time we were past eating ,the food was very average, the chips were good though and saved the hunger. No apologies were offered for a long wait, we were not the only table having this experience This is the last time l will pay in cash and not get a receipt of proof of purchase to enable a refund, maybe they could have offered us all a free drink or at the very least just come to us and say we are short staffed tonight Very poor form Barham Club
Judy-ann C — Google review
We booked a birthday for 22 people. The staff we had serving our table was extremely rude. She snapped at multiple members of our party. And literally threw plates of food that bounced across the table to our stunned selves. We found out her name was Taylor. As we decided that she personally deserved a terrible review. The excuse for the poor behaviour was that 'they were busy tonight'. After complaining in person we then were served by a much nicer staff member (didn't get her name). Other than that the food was decent as was the rest of the venue. That's why 2 stars rathe than zero.. Just no excuse for being terribly rude when it's your job and you are getting paid to deliver customer service. We will not be back.

Fantastic memories of water skiing here during late 70's and early eighties.
