Spent the entire day there! Great place to just breathe and take in all the wonders of the animal world. Very well set up and run by the happiest people on earth. Highly recommend everyone to visit. Incredible display of the Irwin families private collections. Roberts photography is amazing to see (and buy)! Fantastic day!

Lovely zoo, and very well maintained. Grounds are well looked after and lots of thought has been put into it's landscape and architecture. Staff are very friendly, amenities are clean. There is a shuttle bus between areas of the zoo but it is a nice walk around the place on flat terrain. Bring lots of water and wesr comfortable shoes to enjoy the day out. Various shows on throughout the day for entertainment and educational promotion. Plenty of parking.

It's an absolutely brilliant day out for the family, offering genuinely close-up views of iconic Australian and international animals. ​The zoo is expansive, requiring a full day if not a bit more to explore, and there is plenty to look at and do. Including engaging live shows / talks that are both educational and highly entertaining. The dedication to wildlife preservation is evident at every turn—from the exhibits to the staff's enthusiasm—making you feel like your ticket contributes directly to a worthy cause. ​Unfortunately, the day ended on a sour note that prevents a perfect 5-star rating, related entirely to the closing procedure. There was no clear announcement or warning about the zoo closing soon, which left us scrambling to reach the exit shuttle. ​A staff member was directing everyone onto the shuttle to return to the exit. When two members of our group fell slightly behind (less than a minute), the staff member refused to hold the shuttle for them, stating abruptly that "They will have to turn around and walk back." Given the sheer size of the grounds, forcing paying guests—especially families to split up and a young child —to undertake a significant walk due to a lack of notice and an unwillingness to wait moments for their companions is unacceptable and directly contradicts the friendly atmosphere cultivated throughout the rest of the day. ​While I hope this was an isolated incident of poor judgment from one individual, it was a disappointing final memory on our first visit. ​A world-class zoo and a must-visit for anyone in Queensland.

Amazing experience! Very huge park with professional staff and experienced people who take care of all the animals there. You have the feeling, that they know exactly what to do and that they treat the animals well. Relaxed atmosphere and a huge variation of different animals there. It’s not just a regular average Zoo. It’s a huge animal adventure park. It’s hard to explore everything in just one day.

What a wonderful zoo! I felt good about the care the animals received and how many were rescues. The zookeepers really seem to care. Feeding and petting free roaming kangaroos was sooo cool. And they only charge $3 for a good size bag of food for them. A very cool experience.

So incredible!!! Absolutely loved the zoo, animals are clearly cared for. Its massive!! Definitely need comfy shoes, and some drinks. Will take a few hours to get through. Loved the show and the energy, staff are great. Was very enjoyable!! Food is standard with typical “zoo food”.

Beautiful views, the food there is yummy, but I do wish they had a few more salads and healthier options. Thus the 4 stars. Being a diabetic you are always looking for healthier options. The staff were helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is just lovely. The walks 🚶‍♂️ through the reserve are beautiful. My advice is to go slow, so many people miss interesting stuff because they are in too much of a rush. Things like the trap door spiders and the worms /grubs that drag green sticks into there underground holes munching on the end until they disappear down the hole. There is a hanging birds nest over the creek that no one much seems to notice. Beautiful, peaceful walk!💖

It is a conservation park located on the Blackall Range east of Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is about 90 minutes from Coolum beach by car. Public transport takes longer. The reserve is located in the mountain rainforests of the Maleny region overlooking the Glass House Mountains. The 55-hectare reserve consists of subtropical rainforest, which are mainly located in the north-east parts of Australia. The Cairncross reserve has an area of 530,000 square metres and reaches a peak canopy of 440 m. The main species of tree is the Australian red cedar. Strangler figs and fungi are some of the other plants found here. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Uneven terrain, lot of walking, mostly under tree shade. You will likely see small wildlife along the tracks as you wander about. Animals include about 140 birds. There's a large car park, barbecue and a cafe. Toilets available. Entry fees apply. Gift/souvenir shop available on site. Friendly staff and great service. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Great place for photography.

Stunning scenery and pure forest air — a place where you can truly relax and breathe in nature. It’s my second visit, and every time feels just as special. Everyone who comes here falls in love with the calm and beauty. A perfect escape from busy life.

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve has great walking trails and a magnificent view of the Glasshouse Mountains from the ample car park. There are public toilets here, and picnic tables where you can bring your portable BBQ to grill at. Just next door you have Mountain View Cafe, which, although a little pricey, has a lot of your refreshment needs covered. Not too far from Maleny, this is a great place to schedule in a couple of hours on your weekend getaway.

It's always delightful to walk amongst the rainforest trees, hearing the birdsong, maybe catching sight of a wallaby. And of course, the view of the glasshouse mountains is superb.

Beautiful spot for a coffee and a gorgeous walk through subtropical rainforest. The cafe on-site has a good range of options and decent coffee, which is handy if you want a pre or post walk meal, and views of the Glasshouse mountains. The entry to the rainforest walk is through the Rainforest discovery centre and the volunteer staff are super helpful. The walks themselves are easy, and on well maintained tracks and offer beautiful views and if you're lucky, you could spot a wee pademelon 🥰 Toilets on-site and parking on-site also. Highly recommend this experience and making the gold coin donation on your visit (@ the discovery centre) to keep the research and conservation efforts going ahead 😀

Such a wonderful place for adults and kids! Bird world is a pretty special experience. The cafe is good, all staff very friendly and the gardens are beautiful and the little petting farm is cute too. Definitely recommend as somewhere to goof you haven’t been. I took my partner there, and we had a great time!

We visited Bird World in Maleny and focused mainly on the guided bird tour, and it was absolutely incredible. The experience was highly interactive, with birds landing on us throughout the tour, including macaws, parrots, and cockatoos. Sometimes we had multiple birds at a time sitting on us. Truly unforgettable. Our guide, Lidia, was warm, knowledgeable, and fantastic at reading both the birds’ comfort levels and the visitors’. She clearly knows her stuff and cares deeply about the wellbeing of the birds, which made the whole experience even better. We also took a brief walk around the gardens, which were beautifully maintained and incredibly picturesque. The park itself has a lovely café with views stretching out to the Glass House Mountains, a perfect spot to unwind after the tour. There is also a petting zoo for the kids with a large assortment of different animals for them to enjoy. If you love birds, go to this place. It’s an amazing experience and absolutely worth the visit.

We had the most beautiful day. Beautiful gardens, stunning bird aviary with plenty of interaction with the birds, the gorgeous animals in the animal farm, full Devonshire Tea with the biggest scones I've ever seen & so delicious, a perfect sunny day & the most helpful, informative and wonderful staff. A perfect day. 🥰 We did have a cart that enabled us to get around this huge garden, it certainly is something I would recommend. Even though it is winter when we visited the gardens are still stunning, I certainly will be returning though when the huge rose garden is blooming. I highly recommend a visit & say to you Malany Botanical Gardens & Bird Aviary be very very proud of what you have, it is a special place to visit. 🥰

We , 4 adults and 3 children, had a wonderful afternoon here. The botanic gardens are fabulous . The bird tour was so well done and it was fun being interactive. The birds are pretty, so entertaining and look happy. There was so much to see . We were there until closing but could have stayed longer. There are plenty of lovely spots to have a picnic . The cakes we had from the cafe were delicious. ( only minor disappointment was coffee was no longer available just after 3 pm ) thoroughly recommend a trip here and would definitely come back.

I had such an awesome time at the Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird Sanctuary! 🌿🦜 The entry price was very reasonable, especially for everything that was included. You get to wander through the beautiful botanical gardens, which are peaceful, well-kept, and full of stunning plants and scenery. On top of that, there are some animals to see along the way, which added a nice surprise. The highlight for me, though, was definitely the Bird Sanctuary tour. It’s made up of Four different sanctuaries—two are non-interactive, and the other two are interactive. The interactive ones were so much fun, with the birds actually sitting on your arms, shoulders, and even your head! One cheeky bird even gave me a little nip, which made for a funny memory. The whole experience was a mix of beauty, fun, and laughter, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great day out. Five stars from me—absolutely worth the visit! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Fantastic day out for families. The aviary tour was fun and interactive. You can grab a yummy coffee and some nibbles and venture to any of the many little seated areas or gazebos around the gardens with views to die for. Would highly recommend the buggy hire! This was such a highlight of our weekend and will definitely be back.

A good experience in a fantastic location. The gardens & the bird show were both memorable experiences, as was the location itself, overlooking the beautiful glasshouse mountains. We paid the extra $12 each for the guided tour, but I would advise others to book this in advance, we almost missed out. The tour was wonderful, there were many up close experiences with the many beautiful species. The tour host was lovely & informative, just make sure you don't try to take home a feather for a memento, that is not allowed. Please note that the $27 adult entry fee to the park & bird world doesn't get you anywhere near the birds you will want to get close to, so it's actually $39 each. Definitely worth the trip, follow it up with a meal/shop/walk around beautiful Maleny, what a great place!!

This a really lovely dairy farm. Staffs were lovely, areas are clean and the animals very well looked after. The tour was great and the dairy taste test was my favourite part. Just make sure your children are under supervision all times so they don't scare the animals.

Awesome place, highly recommended! Great for all ages, we took our 2yr olds and they had a ball. The tour guide Tatjana did a great tour and explained the whole process really well. You also get to feed calf’s on the tour and taste their products. The cafe is awesome, there’s scones with jam and (their fresh) cream, pies, sausage rolls, coffee, milk shakes etc. Sheep wander around you while at the cafe, which sits in a beautiful spot overlooking the farm, it’s a great experience, we’ll be back!

My son drinks this milk for 3 years. I enjoy buying local produce. We visited the farm with a tour. It's very informative and gives a good understanding what a great work this family is doing. We had a change to try the milk straight from the cow, bottle feed a young cow and see the whole production lines. The production is closed on Saturday. Overall, nice experience. Lovely green area to just chill and try some produce. Kids can safely run around.

Cool experience in QLD. Loved the taste tests and the guy who took us around was very experienced. Good for the family, kids get to touch/pet/feed the young cows and learn so much about how milk gets in our fridges. These photos are also the scenery around Maleny Dairies.

Our group of three families visited and we all agreed that it exceeded our expectations and us adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids! We fed a calf and got up close and personal, the tour guide was very patient with the kids asking lots of questions, the milk, cream and custard is to die for! Support a local family owned business and have a great time!

Awesome Aquarium, very focused on wildlife knowledge and how to care for the environment. Our son loved it, and was frothing from start to finish. The seal show was awesome, and loved the tunnels with sharks, days and fish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and very well priced experience. Book online early to get discount tickets but either way is a great day out for the family

Great experience at the aquarium! We saw all of the displays, heard a talk about the penguins 🐧 & saw a seal show! As two students the tickets were affordable and the experience was worth while! Not sure how great the venue would be for repeat visits but it was an excellent and highly recommended spot for a day trip while in Moolooaba. The seal shows were at 10:30 and 12:30 from memory, this may vary day to day. Lovely staff and good vibes all around:)

Absolutely adore coming here! I finally managed to go for the amazing animal crossing event and it was better than I imagined! I thoroughly enjoyed the little stamp ralley and best of all, meeting Isabelle! It was genuinely one of the sweetest things ever and I gave her a drawing as a gift and token of my appreciation! Your staff were also fantastic today, big shoutout to Tiffany who we had a lovely chat to for ages and I think Ruth who was with Isabelle! You guys made this experience so amazing and I love what you do! 💜

The admission prices are reasonable. But if you book days in advance they are cheaper. We paid an extra $15 per person for the Behind-the-Scenes Tour I loved seeing all the animals. There was an adorable baby penguin and a fun hands-on section where we got to touch some marine life. Walking through the underwater tunnels was definitely a highlight, it felt like being surrounded by the ocean — though it was crowded at times. The Behind-the-Scenes Tour was a great experience. We saw how they house for injured animals and protect local marine life. There were three green sea turtles recovering, and we got to look down into the big pool above the tunnels — seeing the sharks and other animals swimming below was amazing. The seal show was light-hearted and fun, especially Ruby, a playful five-year-old seal. She was absolutely adorable! In total, we saw three seals during the show. The café, which had some food options — mainly small snacks and pies. So, don’t expect a full meal there. The only downside was, the Behind-the-Scenes Tour felt a little short, and unfortunately, no photos or videos were allowed during it. A wonderful experience and perfect would definitely come back again!!

Was here 20 years ago as a kid, now back again as an adult. Still as incredible as ever! That said I miss the 2006 Jeep Fishtank. In where the engine was the filter system. Pretty mad lol.

2nd time visiting in 7 years, both times just me and my husband. We enjoyed it just as much this time as we did the first. They have some shows during the day so if you are into these, be sure to check the schedule. If you aren't, and you like it a little less busy, then go when everyone is at the show, its a lot quieter.

Most excellent experience. Marvellous guides (Lucy and Alice). Lovely animals. Interesting and educational facility. Did the behind the scenes tour with Seals, Penguins, and Sea Turtles. Very interactive. Also very interesting to hear and see how the programs are put together and animals cared for.

Mooloolaba beach has always been a beautiful beach. Playgrounds for kids. Great shower and toilet facilities. Great Surf Lifesavers patrol the beach. Swim between the flags.

What can I say? The whole beach from Maroochydore thru Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba is gorgeous. The water is always warm and you can find a suitable area for all the family - even on a rough day, the eastern end of the beach is calm (near the Mooloolaba Spit Rock Wall).

Just beautiful and I was worried to take mum as she's I'll but we had our fish n chips like we did years ago.. everyone was social distancing .. it was good to see

Got harassed and followed to my car by 2 security officers for taking a photo of the water where the restaurants are. I was filmed on their body cam and saw them noting down my rego as i was entering the car. I only took a photo to show my significant other because I’m from out of town. A lot of others were too but I was singled out. A respectful talk saying that photography wasnt allowed would have been better, but the way i was treated was like i was shoplifting or being a criminal. Wouldn’t recommend going here (Attached are the 3 “illegal” photos i took. Can’t believe that I was treated like this for these)

Im a man, I don’t love shopping. I have been in many countries around the 🌍 world. But sunshine plaza have something special, that’s why I spend lots of time here and I buy all what I need for home, for me and sometimes for my work in this amazing shopping centre. Many shops around, we were looking for a place to eat and found Grill’d and Yochi for a well-deserved yoghurt dessert after our meal.

I’m not usually someone who enjoys shopping, but Sunshine Plaza has completely changed that for me. The atmosphere is so open, vibrant, and relaxed that it never feels like your typical crowded shopping centre. The beautiful river running through the middle, the lush greenery, and the breezy layout make it feel more like a resort than a mall. There’s an amazing mix of shops and plenty of quiet corners to sit, relax, or grab a coffee with a view. The centre is spotless, well laid out, and the staff are always friendly. Parking is easy, and there are great entertainment options like the cinema and paddle boats — perfect for a chill day out. Even as someone who usually dreads shopping trips, I actually look forward to coming here. Sunshine Plaza is a gem on the Sunshine Coast!

Sunshine plaza paws Park is a very good idea BUT it needs activities for the puppy's. Some shade areas also for the hot days and a sprinkler feature for them to play just some ideas for you from my puppy dog LuLu ( unofficial mascot of plaza )

A fabulous family friendly shopping, entertainment, food and beverage destination. A massive variety of large and small independent stores and eateries, offering everything you could possibly want. Lots of parking (first 3 hours are free). There are cinemas; boat rides for the children on the internal/external canal/river. Loads of restaurants / cafes, popular pop up's, for every desired taste, with food from around the world and several are licensed venues. Enjoy a couple of hours, or the whole day. The centre has a number of toilets placed at various levels, which are clean and well maintained. There are multiple escalators and lifts well positioned. An information booth for any queries.

Busy, with lots of things for kids - not that we had any with us. We didn't do any tours, but walked around the established gardens, had a good ice cream cup at a quiet picnic table. A few decently priced gift shops with interesting items. Don't buy nuts in the Factory shop, but go across the road to the Nut Factory. Lots of electric car chargers, toilets for adults and kids.

We arrived at 9:30am and purchased tickets for the 10am Ginger Factory Tour and the 11am Live Bee Show. The taste testing was incredible — Kathy and Erin were both so knowledgeable and engaging! The rainbow umbrella walk was absolutely stunning, and the “Boat Around the World” ride was wonderfully interactive with great displays that kept everyone entertained. Lunch at the Ginger Kitchen came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Afterward, we did the Zog Rainforest Walk, where we even met a real-life Zog! The train ride was a lovely way to finish exploring the grounds — it really showed how well-maintained the gardens are and gave us a chance to spot some local wildlife. Before heading home, we stopped for gelato at the Gelato Bar (delicious!) and browsed through the gift shop. Overall, a fantastic day out for all ages — fun, educational, and beautifully presented. Highly recommend! 🌿🍯🚂

Fun day had by all the family. Such a chilled day. Adored the colourful umbrellas , took some great pics. Everyone had fun on the interactive Zog trail. Free to enter was a pleasant surprise, we happily paid for the train and boat rides which the grandkids loved .

We’ve only visited the Ginger Factory once so far, but I’m 100% sure it won’t be our last time. We had tickets for the train and the boat but didn’t purchase any extras, and it was still a memorable and fantastic day with my little one. Next time, we’ll definitely try some of the additional activities.

It’s valuable experience, learned lot about ginger and how it’s made, history of Australian 1st ginger factory and their transition. Really good for children who want know about the history of ginger in australia. And honey bees, it was good educational talk and the way bees are working, those are really memorable.

What an amazing experience for kids and adults alike. We didn't do the factory tour, so I can't comment on that. But my kids enjoyed the boat ride and the train ride. There so much to do. Playground, bouncy castle, a nice forest walk, even an umbrella walk. The ginger Gelato was delicious and so was the ginger beer. My 3 year old was crying cause he didn't want it go home after 2 hours. Definitely could have spent half a day there, but the park was closing. The only criticisms and what is preventing me in giving 5 stars would be, if you say you close at 5, why end the boat rides at 4, the train ride at 4:30 and the coffee shops by 4:30 as well. Just say you're open til 4:30. We came at 3, thinking we had 2 hours, instead we were "ushered out the door" by 4:30, with a staff member jokingly saying, "oh, you're still here? We would have come earlier had we known

We recently attended Kenilworth Dairy and were extremely impressed by the wide range of products on offer. They had an excellent selection of cheeses, milks, yogurts, mousses, and various other dairy items. The prices for all the products were very reasonable. We purchased a packet of assorted hard cheeses, and every one of them has been absolutely delicious. The mousse was incredibly light and fluffy, easily one of the best I’ve ever tried. Their milk is low in sugar and has a clean, fresh taste. We’ll definitely be returning to Kenilworth Dairy on any future trips to the Kenilworth area.

You'll find a wide selection of dairy products here, like cheeses, milk, ice cream and so much more. For first-time visitors, I strongly suggest trying the cheese sampling box-it comes with nine different cheeses, a jam, and a packet of crackers.

Absolutely disgusting chocolate mousse sold in Coles, which found its way straight to my bin after two spoons. Can't believe you would taste this before commercialising it and decide "Yes, we have a winner!". Unless you just didn't or it was your first ever mousse and you don't know how it's supposed to taste or look like. There isn't even a hint of chocolate in this, it's just a sugar mousse, if you can call this a mousse with this slimy texture. It's extremely rare for me to go into the effort of rating a supermarket product but in this case I felt I had to try and discourage other Australians from buying this. I wish I had seen the reviews here before I did. Maybe keep it to cheeses.

Wow and wow,$10 for a bacon,egg,cheese roll,hash brown and cup of coffee. It's not a small roll either, freshly cooked and filling.....exceptional value.

Kenilworth Dairies was our first port of call on our AmazingCo mystery picnic. We stopped at 4 Mary Valley mystery places to collect yummy goods for a picnic in a secret location. I have to say that the goodies we picked up from Kenilworth Dairies were extra scrummy and helped make today a great adventure and excellent value. It was a great present idea from our daughter.

Purchased the chocolate mousse from Coles and it was inedible. It had over 10 days before expiry but was seeping water, had weird gelatinous lumps and tastes fermented. I have tried to contact them but no response.

Best market I've been to. Just so much stuff, something for everyone. Bought beard balm, jewellery, food, ice cream, candles... If you're staying near Noosa you need to check this out!

Love, love, love this market and it met my expectations and more. It's filled with produce showcasing local talent. A great place to pick up unique pieces you won't find anywhere else. You can easily spend the whole morning here, wondering through the many stalls, live music playing and plenty of choices to eat. Parking is easy and reasonably priced at just over $9. One of my favourite stalls was the stone mason. Beautiful garden ornaments at very reasonable prices. Photos of these and a few other favourites.

Such a great market; the vibes and people are amazing, so friendly, with so much variety. And a market that is open on a Wednesday is pretty cool. It's our 2nd time here and we will be returning again it's over a 3 hour drive but it's such a great day out with the family.

Loved going to the market on Wednesday. There was everything there from food to clothing, to jewelry and other amazing souvenirs. The environment was lovely and could have spent so much longer there but I don't think my bank account would allow it 😅. All of the stalls I went to accepted card but I did carry some cash with me. Loved the experience and definitely recommend a visit 💕

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.

Great place to visit. This is an excellent beach with beautiful restaurants, bakeries, cafes, souvenir shops and more. There are clean wash room facilities on the beach area. Parking can be difficult/very limited on busy days.

Great boardwalk and great views! Best on a weekday, weekends might be too busy I think 🤔. Pretty hard to get a park anywhere here though, so you might have to walk to it from afar like I had to.

Stunning sunrise views, very crowded and feels lively. Very clean facilities and includes water refills which are frequently cleaned which was nice. One of, if not the best beaches on the coast.

Noosa Heads Main Beach is the kind of beach that makes you believe you’ve accidentally wandered onto a postcard. Crystal-clear water, golden sand, and waves gentle enough that even the ocean seems to be in a good mood. It’s perfect for literally everything — tanning, swimming, floating around pretending you’re in a movie, or just sitting there staring at the view like it’s therapy (because honestly, it is). The vibe is relaxed, the people are lovely, and the whole place just radiates holiday energy. Whether you’re grabbing a bite on Hastings Street between swims or watching the sun melt into the water, Main Beach always hits. It’s clean, beautiful, and somehow makes you forget every problem you’ve ever had. The only downside? The sheer volume of people. At peak times it feels like half of Australia had the exact same idea — but honestly, when a beach is this stunning, can you even blame them? If paradise had a postcode, it would be Noosa. 🌞🏖️

Beautiful, Relaxing, and Perfect for Everyone! Noosa Main Beach is one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to. The water is calm and crystal clear—perfect for swimming, even for kids. The sand is soft and clean, and the beach is very well-maintained. I also loved how close it is to Hastings Street, with so many cafes, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. It can get a bit crowded during peak times, and parking is limited, so come early if you can. But overall, it’s a stunning spot to relax, swim, surf, or just enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Sunshine Coast!

So beautiful, and clean! water is perfect

Multiple great walks to choose from. The coastal walk was absolutely beautiful with great views along the whole way, gorgeous look outs and access to sandy beaches. Great photo opportunities. Also lots of spots either on the beach or at some of the lookouts to have lunch. Also a lovely area at the entrance for a little picnic. Really enjoyed it!

Pictures don’t do it justice so stunning! We were able to see dolphins and whales along our walk. The fairy pools are farther down than expected be careful but it’s the views. We wended up not swimming in them because we for distracted by a pod of dolphins swimming by. Tea tree bay was a nice swim. A little chilly still since we are coming out a winter into spring (September). But we still went out!

Noosa National Park is an absolute gem and easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Australia. I spent half a day exploring and could have stayed much longer — the combination of coastal scenery, wildlife, and peaceful walking trails makes it a truly special spot. The Coastal Track is the highlight and a must-do. It’s well maintained and runs along the edge of the cliffs, offering incredible ocean views the entire way. I started from the main entrance near Noosa Heads and walked all the way to Hell’s Gates. Along the way, there are several lookout points — Tea Tree Bay, Dolphin Point, and Granite Bay were my favorites. Each offers a slightly different perspective of the coastline, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins or turtles in the water below. Wildlife spotting was another highlight. I actually saw a koala resting high up in a eucalyptus tree near Tea Tree Bay — such a cool moment! The park is also full of birds, and you’ll often hear them before you see them. If you plan to visit, I’d recommend going early in the morning. The car park near the main entrance fills up quickly, especially on weekends, and it can get busy later in the day. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and maybe a snack or two if you’re walking the full track. There are also a few beaches along the way if you want to stop for a swim or just relax by the water. Overall, Noosa National Park is a perfect blend of natural beauty, wildlife, and tranquility. Whether you’re into hiking, photography, or just want a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this place has it all. I can’t wait to go back — it’s the kind of spot that stays with you long after you leave.

Noosa National Park is absolutely stunning — easily one of the best coastal walks in the State. The track follows the cliffs with sweeping ocean views, turquoise coves, and shady sections through eucalyptus forest. The walk to Hell’s Gates is especially beautiful, and there are plenty of spots to stop for photos or a quiet break. Perfect mix of accessibility and wild natural beauty.

The coastal walk at Noosa National Park is absolutely stunning. The scenery changes constantly along the way — from sparkling beaches to rugged cliffs and lush bushland — so there’s always something beautiful to look at. It’s definitely doable, though you’ll want to be at least a little bit fit, especially if you’re planning to walk the whole track. I’d highly recommend doing the full coastal walk if you have the time. It’s roughly 10 km return (give or take depending on where you start), and every step is worth it. A truly spectacular experience. 🌊🌿✨

I would have rated this place 5 stars for the scenery and the very well maintained toilets and walking tracks, but it’s INCREDIBLY, AWFULLY CROWDED!! I’ve seen less people in shopping centres than here. And the parking situation SUCKS!!!!! We were lucky enough to get a park in a side street nearby-ish, but I saw a lot of vehicles do the round trip between the roundabout on Hastings Street and the NP car park, with no success. On the coastal track there were heaps of people, and a fair few runners dodging the walkers, which can be annoying for both. We also walked the Tanglewood track, and that was a completely different experience. Very few people, and some nice rainforest sections. Unfortunately the signage left a lot to be desired and twice we ended up on a maintenance track by mistake. If you’re in Noosa, it’s worth a look but I would not recommend making a special trip here unless you’re into riding a longboard. The surf was pretty good, if you’re willing to get up early or walk a mile or two to get to the beach.

An incredible place with stunning coastal walks and picturesque beaches like Fairy Pools. The trails are well-maintained, offering amazing views. Just be aware that finding parking can be a real challenge, so plan to arrive very early or consider walking from Hastings Street to avoid the hassle. It's a must-visit, but the parking situation requires some strategic thinking!

Had a great day out on the water. Wit was a hot day and the swim halfway really cooled us down! Learnt a lot about the Everglades from our guides and really enjoyed an excellent lunch! Would definitely do this again. Kym was very easy to contact.

We enjoyed kayaking on the lakes and rivers. We thought it was really nice to be in the nature and get away from the noisy townsfolk. Incredible experience for our whole work team. Guided by the amazing Jan who had the patience of a saint with us! Super lunch spread with a huge amount of local delicious treats. The best experience we’ve had as a team based on the sunny coast! Highly recommend Jan, Josh, Kris and the rest of his team for sure if you are ever on the SC.

10/10 from us for Kanu Kapers and Jan’s amazing guided tour of the Everglades. We had SO much fun, a truly stunning part of the world, Jan was so knowledgeable and a great tour guide. The lunch and morning tea provided were also primo. Would highly recommend! Jazz and Liam :)

Today we did the guided 1 day kayaking. Jan was a terrific guide with lots of interesting facts about the area. He was calm and encouraging throughout. Morning tea and lunch were generous and the Everglades were beautiful. Had a swim in the lovely warm water. I would really recommend this experience…. Fantastic!!!!

We did a self guided day out with Kanu Kapers and would highly recommend! It was great that you can arrange pick up from Noosa Main Street as we didn’t have a car. Communication before was great and Josh was very knowledgeable about the area and clearly a very experienced instructor. You get proper sea kayaks and quality gear. They have a wonderful sustainable ethos and would 10/10 recommend the scenery. Thanks for an epic experience!

Recently we did an overnight kayak camp and had the most amazing time. We were worried about the weather forecast but as it turns out the rain gave us still waters and cool breeze. We paddled as far as we possibly could then camped at a quiet space (I think camp 3) then hiked to the sandblow. The gear was great. All dry. And ample food storage, which is high on my priorities 🙃 . Overall I had the best 2 days away in a long time.

This nostalgic museum has experiences for all ages from the gold panning to the historical displays. No exhibits were operating where we were there so it was presented as all static displays. It has the makings of something quite special but looks to be lacking the funds the get to the next level. Despite this it was still wonderful to visit and step back In time.

Such a cool place to visit! Try your hand at panning (and if you're lucky like me, get an actual bit of flake gold), see the history of the gold mining in the area, enjoy a walk around and then feel old when you see a keyboard your childhood computer had 😂 Well worth the visit and for a very reasonable price, a great adventure for the family. Even better, our pram could get just about everywhere! Not just gold at this museum either. The old fire trucks, cars and machinery were awesome to look at. Kids had a ball seeing things up close and personal. The stylised displays allowed the kids to have a better understanding of what they were looking at.

It's much bigger than you think. The lady at the counter said that and we didn't believe her. It's massive. It was a sunny day and I ended up getting a migraine but I did manage to see all the buildings, they are so well maintained. All this for just a $10 or $12 entry fee. You would probably need a few hours to fully check it out and read everything about this place. It's a once or twice in your lifetime kind of a place.

Great experience overall! Curious and interesting place with incredible customer service and the food there is delicious! Definitely worth visiting!

Stopped off here on the way to Noosa from Hervey Bay, glad we made the stop! Planned to go in for a quick look around out of curiosity, but all the staff were really interesting to talk to and shared so much information about their history of Gympie. Each person we spoke to had a great story to tell and it was nice to see enthusiasm for their history. Had a lovely day and enjoyed panning for Gold at the end. We stopped by the cafe on the way out and enjoyed a delicious sausage roll! Worth a visit!

Sensational experience on this steam engine. Customer service from all staff was outstanding. The views from the carriage were fabulous. Stops at Amamoor and Dagun station were great thanks to those communities providing stalls at the stations. Well done to all the volunteers who contributed to make our trip memorable.

We took my mum from England along with my two kids (11 and 13), and it was so nice to see them genuinely engaged in everything our guide, Ryan, shared. He was young, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about steam trains and railways — it was wonderful to see that kind of excitement! The scenery was stunning, and the stops along the way were great. The cheese and wine tasting was a lovely touch too. We had such a fantastic day — highly recommend a trip on the Rattler! ❤️

We did the ‘Wizard’ experience on Saturday night. If I would change anything it would be to experience the steam train during the daytime. There was not a lot of experiences regarding it being a Wizard experience, that in hindsight made the night trip worth doing. The journey was great as was sunset. After that there was nothing to see. Seeing the turntable for the train to turn around was great.

What a great experience! The trip was relaxing, informative and enjoyable. The high tea on offer was enjoyable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The cafe was a great start for brekky before the journey, the museum and the shop offered some insight into the history of rail.

🇦🇺Aussie Traveller we went on the Mary Valley Rattler today out of Gympie. The old Steam Train and carriages have been immaculately restored. The staff and Conductors are all Volunteers which is a great credit to all involved. Well worth the trip, it took about 1 hour each way. When we got to Amamoor they had a little market, music and a Cafe. We had a great day.

We recently stayed in the Gympie Hinterland and chose to do the Mary Valley Rattler Silver Bullet High Tea Experience as a family. We received a warm welcome and briefing at the Ticket Office and browsed the museum whilst waiting to board. The carriage itself was well-restored with comfortable padded seating to enjoy our journey. Our high tea was lovely, admittedly our teens did not enjoy the savoury foods, however us adults made up for it, and there was plenty to fill our bellies. The trip was pleasant and leisurely as we clattered along, enjoying the country landscape and deep insights from our guide John. Dagan contained a Cheese & Wine Tasting (which we could not stomach after our high tea), a street library, wood mill, and nature walk. On our return trip we visited the drivers cabin and received our custom chocolate to have with our bottomless tea / coffee service. Overall a lovely experience.

Great experience all round. Great food and coffee at Cafe, so if you have an early start, just have bfast there. Service is fast and top. Train experience was lovely with each carriage having it's own staff to advise of the history. Great day. Thanks to all the volunteers that makes this possible.

Great view and short walk from parking space. There 2 scenic lookout. Have to walk down towards the beach, but theres no connection to the beach.

Always face place of mine to visit. It is close to a km walk from the car park to the blow hole. Make sure you take the time and effort to get to the edge of the cliff over looking the ocean, it is a little tough if you have issues walking as very sandy and need some strength to get back up. Billion dollar views await !

Its huge and its beautiful. Amazing place for the sunset. Just 10 minutes walk from the car park. Close to Rainbow Beach. I would recommend everyone to Take water bottle and a big beach towel or picnic mat to sit and watch the sunset. We went there on a weekday so it wasnt that crowdy, it could be really crowdy in the weekends as it is very beautiful place. 👍

Such a wonderful experience, and a great find when travelling in this area. Quite an unusual area, but a great place for sand boarding, or even just rolling down the sand dune. Beautiful sea views at the coastal side with paragliding and the opportunity for whale watching, alongside beautiful green landscapes at the other. The sand blow is about a 5 minute walk from the car park, and definitely a must when in the area!

Amazing. Love this location at sunset, and it can get quite busy here with people coming to have a drink and watch the sun set! Fun to boogie board down the sand dunes and wander around, see the water and beach below. It's a short walk from the carpark through the bush (300ish metres or so, maybe?) with some stairs along the way. Love this spot!

Fantastic morning learning & feeding the local dolphin population. Staff presentation was very informative, even the kids loved it. Cafe was closed on a monday morning so cant comment, but the menu does look good. Special shoutout to Peter, loved the pink bunny ears mate!

Didn't eat at the restaurant, but the dolphins feeding was great. The presentation starts at 7.00am with a brief information session, then the feed starts at 8am. Dont 🐝 too worried if you're running late. The feeding is very orderly with no need to rush or push to the front. They also rotate the front viewing so everyone can get a chance to see. You get one fish for $15, and it lasts maybe 2 minutes in the water with the dolphins, no petting allowed. Definitely better experience with wild animals than viewing in a zoo.

I was in absolute heaven being here last weekend. I loved it so much I returned the very next day. All volunteers were absolutely lovely and friendly ( including the 2 gentlemen at the front gate, to the lady with the long blonde hair who was taking the orders in the canteen, to Annette & Roger and every other volunteer on both of the days ) . We ordered brekkie on our first day and the vegetarian wrap and coffees were so nice too - very impressive. These volunteers all showed such a huge respect for the dolphins too and also ensure that they remain safe in their own environment and ……. they were so organised too. They were even better than the Brisbane Entertainment Centre as I was there on the Tuesday before and it was a mess !! Considering they are all volunteering too - it’s so impressive to see. :-) On the second day at Barnacles, the dolphins were very playful and on both days, they had also brought gifts on their rostrums, it was just adorable. I would highly recommend going there and feeding the dolphins too, it’s really worth your time and money.

One of my favourite places on earth... so special to he able to feed the wild dolphins, the volunteers are welcoming and just want you to experience the beauty of these dolphins 🐬 and in top of that the cafe serves the best food. Get there early so you do miss the Dolphins arriving

Quite a busy cafe during the dolphin feeding experience, so worthwhile getting your order in early, otherwise it can take some time to get served. Food portions looked sizeable, and the coffee was pretty reasonable too. Live music was playing out the front of the venue at around 8AM which was a nice addition.

Had a wonderful time at Barnacles with the family. Feeding the dolphins was a lovely experience for my little one, and for the adults too. The feeding sessions are well organised by the amazing team of volunteers, who deeply care about the animals and deliver a valuable message to visitors about conservation and respect for dolphins and wildlife in general. Peter is fantastic (he told us to say that lol); but seriously, he and all the volunteers are wonderful. The cafe provides nice coffee and breakfast, and pets are welcome which is a huge bonus for us. 100% recommended.

School holidays so it was very busy, if you have never seen a dolphin then it would be worthwhile. You can get close up, volunteers are very good and helpful. It’s a private business so all proceeds go to the business which is interesting given it’s all run by volunteers.

Awesome location for the Fraser Island ferries ⛴️. So close to Rainbow Beach for supplies, the camp grounds here have toilets and spots so close to the water for fishing and kayaking. The area is a 40 zone, not that many abide by it, but there is a merciless motorbike cop catching a few so would serve as a deterrent. The ferry area is sandy, depending on weather, traffic and volume of cars determines how soft the sand it. Air your tyres down so you do not become an obstacle. Bring recovery boards and a snatch strap. Don't stay on 40psi. At least 25-30psi on the day pending conditions. I run at 20psi for the Island 🏝 Was an outbreak of gastro in the camp grounds so practise good hygiene. A picturesque location. Most accessible by normal sedans until the beach, where an AWD/4WD is necessary

Beautiful Inskip Point Queensland camping loads of room and relaxing. Public toilets are available, and shops are close .

Love this spot, great beaches, campsites are well maintained, and toilet blocks kept tidy. Sites are dog friendly which means my little mate can enjoy this stunning part of the world with me too!

Camped here over Easter. Great location, good facilities, that are cleaned daily. Cap on numbers means that every camper has plenty of space. Such a beautiful part of the world.

I was lucky enough to stay there for 3 weeks due to the incredible weather. Toilets very clean and well maintained. All in all, a very relaxing time spent there......

Good family beach camping spot. Has wheelchair accessible toilet facilities Camp sites are easily accessed with 4x4 but otherwise you can park a few metres from the camp sites on the road Rainbow Beach is very close to get supplies or visit a cafe/pub Can get very crowded during peak periods so probably don't bother during public holidays

Lovely setting with literally thousands of camping spots , (although it does get very busy you should be able to find a spot) you can choose from setting up amongst the trees or on the beach front and everywhere in between. There are toilet blocks and rubbish bins dotted around as well as the occasional non drinkable tap . Take your own drinking water with you as well as any other vitals as there no Shop close (this includes Fire wood) The longest you can camp here is 30days by permit which I think is around 6-7 bucks (beach driving by permit also ) which is online or from some of the shops at rainbow beach .

Lots of history and very well maintained, toilets are better here than lake mackenzie, the walk down to the creek is beautiful the water is clear however no swimming allowed in this creek.

Other then the massive storm, it’s one of the best camp spots I have ever been to. Family had a ball, facility’s were clean and the campsites were distinctly separated.

Great spot, in depths of shade so solar suffered a bit. Not that clear where to put RV but generous space when found a site. Wildlife pretty forward despite lack of dingos so do lock up bins and food

At this place you should go for the walk along the Wanggoolba Creek. Thias creek is flow on very fine white sand. The thing is sometimes you do not see the water as it is invisible clear. We did not use the camping area which is also closed by.

Central Station Rainforest is a great walk you are mainly walking on a boardwalk where you see many aged trees which are huge! There is a beautiful creek that runs through the forest which is a great site to see. This is the most disgusting campground. Filthy bathrooms, broken showers, smelt so bad you had to hold your hand over your nose to enter. I wouldn't use the toilets they are so terrible. Showers took the coins, no water came out, hardware hanging off the wall. It was like a scene out of Jurassic Park. The campground itself is unkempt. Dirty bins and dirty 'camp kitchen'.

I love this place in the Fraser Island. There are lovely plants especially the giant Staghorns

Stopped in Maryborough randomly on a drive. We stopped at the shop to get some food and then found this park to sit and eat. Kids ran around, seemed well maintained. Right on the river. Like the musical features there too. Kids loved it. Nice spot.

Fantastic park with a huge open grassland space, several walking tracks and lots of statues commemorating those who fought in the war. Very well maintained area and a beautiful war memorial towards the main road. Lovely views over the river too and beautiful for walking. Dogs are allowed on leash and there were plenty of shaded areas under the trees too. Would highly recommend visiting here for a picnic or a short walk.

Beautiful park along the Mary River

Must visit stop and along the Mary River Brilliant and well maintained park. Nice place to sit and enjoy the peacefulness. The War Memorial is really nicely done. Well done Maryorough. A few odd charachters about so recommend you watch out for your family but mostly cler of the park crazies.

I always enjoy a stroll through Queen's Park. Very well maintained. Beautiful historic buildings.

Having been to every other spot on the island we left Lake Wabby til last and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It’s certainly no Lake McKenzie. Mostly sand there’s only a small green body of water to swim in. You have to walk to the look out and then branch off to the left for a 1km trek down to the lake area. For me, it wasn’t worth the hassle but each to their own. Perfect example of shifting sands on a sand island taking over nature. There is a decent toilet block there should the need arise.

If there was ever an entrance to heaven (or it ever existed), it would probably look like it! An underrated location, mixed with lake on the one side, and the ocean on the other. Yes, you can't see much under the water, but it's still possible to swim in it (just watch it, it gets deeper quite fast when you swim towards its centre. Just watch the fish :)

The lake was okay. We thought it was average compared to some of the other lakes on the island. There were lots of fish in the water and it looked like a great spot to swim. The short hike to the lake from the beach was a nice little walk.

Lake Abby is a great place to go for a swim. It takes a 45 minute walk through the forest to get there but it’s absolutely worth it. My favorite part wasn’t even the lake itself but the sand dunes surrounding it. Absolutely amazing!

Lake Wabby is not bad, if you have no places to go, then check out this lake. The lake is quite small but has a lot of fishes in it, I counted 5 big catfish and numerous other fishes. Just remember there is a little bit rotten smell likely from the dead leafs and trees, so get used to it.

Was a nice walk up even on a hot day. There has been sand blown away around the steps. No issues with sticks or debri on the path

Another nice spot for a dip on Fraser. There is a decent walk involved to get there but well worth it. Keep an eye out for catfish and turtles.

we were on k'gari and you just can't miss Lake Mckenzie (Boorangoora). it is so beautyfull. so blue and you can see the bottem everywhere. so if you are there, just go to Lake Mckenzie (Boorangoora). :)

Lake McKenzie makes it probably the most visited natural site on the island. It is a ‘perched’ lake, which means it contains only rainwater, no groundwater, is not fed by streams and does not flow to the ocean. The sand and organic matter at the base of the lake form an impervious layer, preventing rainwater from draining away. The sand here is pure, white silica and is not only beautiful to look at but feels beautifully soft to walk on. The sand acts as a filter, giving the water its clarity and helping to make the water so pure it can support very little life. The blues and greens of the lake are endlessly fascinating and it’s well worth getting up early to look across it in the soft light of dawn. I have been here many times and it has always been an incredible place to be, but this particular visit was different as its the very first time I've really seen the true colours after receiving my colour correction glasses (I'm a colour-blind)... what did this mean? I went for a relaxing hike and ended up here. Decided to go for a swim, but didn't have a towel, how could you. Sad face. PS. The lake was VERY wet.

Such an amazing place. The water is crystal clear and so clean. It’s like swimming in a pool but without the chemicals in it. You’re not allowed to eat on the beaches but there are designated fenced picnic areas at the parking area. Also toilets which is wheelchair accessible. Only downside is that it’s very busy with tour buses and the road to get there is not in a good condition. Put this on your to do list!

Fantastic sanctuary that is incredibly cheap and a much quieter, more interactive experience compared to a lot of other zoos/sanctuaries. Great value for money and volunteers are very friendly and are happy to answer questions and pass on knowledge. Animals include kangaroos and wallabies, ducks, peacocks free roaming and bettongs, turtles, emus and dingoes in enclosures. A range of birds in aviaries and beautiful snakes and lizards in the reptile room. Animals are well cared for and volunteers love what they do. Emus are gentle, kangaroos are very friendly, reptiles are easy to handle. Definitely recommend the animal experiences - a dingo encounter is $15 and snake is $10 which is actually great value for money, a fair and heavily discounted rate compared to other overpriced venues. At 2pm the public can help feed the outer sanctuary, which includes getting up close with the most gentle and wonderfully natured emus! Kangaroo food available for purchase at the reception for $3 which is always an enjoyable experience, and they love a nice scratch behind the ear! If you love animals, I highly recommend this facility. I spent hours here by myself and loved every minute of it. Thank you so much to the volunteers for being so wonderful and informative and making this a fantastic experience overall! We appreciate your efforts and hard work in everything that you guys do!

Love this spot! You can tell that the animals are well taken care of & we’re happy to be part of it. A spot to pet kangaroos, admire beautiful birds and there’s even a reptile corner. Not a huge place but it’s more than enough to satisfy our inner kid.

great for the grandkids who got to feed kangaroos. it isn't a huge centre but had a variety of animals. staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a visit!

A extremely affordable, smaller and quiet animal sanctuary that allows you to get up close and personal with the animals. The kids spent ages feeding the kangaroos and wallabies, yet weren’t brave enough to join in the snake or dingo experiences. Big picnic area out the front and a smaller area inside to enjoy drinks and ice-creams. We’ll definitely bring the next set of visiting relatives here.

It was amazing! It wasn’t crowded, there were lots of different animals, and they all seemed to be well cared for. You can feed kangaroos and interact with the cutest birds. The staff are also so knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience even better.

A definite go-to The kangaroos and wallabies are a delight to feed. Beautiful birds too.

🌺 Wow! 🤩 The Orchid House at the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens was absolutely spectacular. I wasn’t expecting to see so many orchids in bloom this time of year —all lovingly cared for by dedicated volunteers. My family thoroughly enjoyed exploring the whole gardens. Including a rainforest walk, labyrinth and gorgeous Chinese inspired garden.

Lovely oasis in Hervey Bay Check out the citters Park for the little peeps, the Chinese garden, the labyrinth (although it was made for leprechauns!!!) , The Orchid house, the pond with thousands of turtles that swim up to you! And across the road is the pie and pastry shop with yummy treats for everyone and good coffee

Nice spot to wander around and fill in 45 minutes. Chinese garden is quite a nice feature however would be good if the water feature was actually full. The lake with the turtles probably needs cleaning out and a few turtles removed, could also do with a few more plant identification placards around the place. Good spot to let little kids run around and burn off some energy. But would I go again probably not, would I recommend. Im 50/50 going by the comments some people really enjoy it.

Peaceful and beautiful botanic garden in Hervey Bay. The Orchid House display lots of orchid are very well maintained. Greatly appreciate to everyone who taking care of them. Heaps of turtles around the pond for kid's entertain.

Supported a client here today and checked out the Orchid House. We walked around all the Botancial Gardens and visited the turtles. A lovely afternoon out.

Unfortunately the orchid house was closed when we visited but still enjoyed a walk around the Botanical Gardens

Lots of bird life and turtles and under cover areas for picnics which we did but walking arpund there is no signage for any directions to anything ..

It was a great walk, but unfortunately, no dogs allowed. So my husband and I had to do the walking separately. The views to Fraser Island and the surrounding beaches were nice.

Travelling Aussies 🇦🇺 The Urangan Pier is a wonderful asset to visitors and the locals of Hervey Bay Stretching almost 870m into the bay from the Urangan foreshore, it’s a great vantage point and relaxing walk There’s usually plenty of parking, while you’ll enjoy the famous Pier Markets on Wednesday & Saturday mornings Often, visitors will see dolphins, turtles, stingrays, a family of ospreys and other wildlife from the Pier A number of outstanding local cafes & restaurants are also situated nearby, and the Pier is a great way to walk off a delicious meal or enjoy a hot coffee

A great place for a walk, if you are a fisherman the last 30 mtrs of the pier is in deep water and pelagic fish are commonly caught. On Sundays there are markets, coffee shops etc. Well worth a visit.

No dogs. I’d love to know how a dog walking on a pier could do any harm to it. It’s 2025, time for these archaic rules need to be abolished.

Went to the Food truck day at Bamboo Land 🎍 yesterday. Went on a guided tour which was really great. I learned a lot about bamboo and immersed myself in the experience. For me the best part about Bamboo Land 🎍 was what it did for me mentally and spiritually. Being there really really helped me with my mental health, feeling at peace, feeling free and happy. Made a big impact with my mental health and will definitely be going back often. I personally haven't been in 6+ years and plenty of improvements have been made since then. Definitely a beautiful venue with lots of potential and can go far especially as a wedding venue or yoga/zen retreat or something 🙂

Great place to get your nature fix. All the varieties of bamboo planted there is amazing to see. The nursery is well labeled to provide information on all the different types of bamboos you can buy. We had a coffee and banana bread from the coffee shop where service was great and the coffee was really good and a decent size. They also have a nice clean toilet. Don’t forget to visit the old train carriage on the grounds. Lovely place to shop, relax and explore .

The gardens are well maintained and established. There are some beautiful specimen palms and some amazingly huge stands of bamboo. The plants for sale are very healthy and well priced, some beautiful varieties for sale. Definitely worth the detour from the main road!

A real surprise. Such an awesome splace, created over many many years with a lot of invested patience and love. It is stunning! You can even rest, take it all in, whilst sipping on a coffee. Rumour has it that yoga is on the menu as well as food trucks. Keep an eye on their fb or website.

I highly recommend Bamboo Land for weddings! The parkland is absolutely stunning and makes the most beautiful backdrop for a ceremony and reception. We held both our ceremony and reception there, and so many of our guests commented on how gorgeous the setting was. The staff were also so thoughtful and accommodating — on the day of the wedding, they checked in on me at the guesthouse and even drove me to the reception area in a buggy so my dress wouldn’t get ruined. Everything about the venue was perfect, and I couldn’t be happier that we chose Bamboo Land for our special day

💯 recommend this beautiful place, its gorgeous and relaxing with toilets, icecreams, cold drinks and coffees. Perfect places to sit down and relax and beautiful shade, heads up they do have a few mozzies though so make sure you use repellent to help.

Well worth the short detour off the highway to check this place out, absolutely amazing. If you're expecting bamboo, you won't be disappointed. Beautiful location by the Burrum River, shady & cool.

Seriously, they need to limit the number of people at the water park during school breaks. We got there right when it opened at 10, and it was fine for like ten minutes, but by 10:30, it was total chaos. It's an accident just waiting to happen. Kids were pushing and shoving on the kids' slides, kids were crying everywhere, and parents were just glued to their phones. The line for the big slides was all the way down the stairs. My kid was done after fifteen minutes. He was like, "Can we leave? I don't feel safe."

Great fun, amazing views looking out to K'gari/ Fraser Island! It's free to play around on parts and great value for the awesome water slides! We also did the Aqua Ninja water activity course that was good fun with a bit of a challenge!

Great place to take the kids and us big kids for a bit of fun! Well priced and in a prime spot on the beach. Only reason it wasn't a 5 umwas due to short staffing there was nowhere to buy a water. The young guy spotting the slides was friendly and attentive.

There's something for everybody! My kids love the splash pad and the water slides! Free entry unless you or your children over 120cm tall want to use the water slides for $8 for 10 slides. Great place to take the kids.

Great place for kids (young and young at heart), plenty of free off street parking around, with a delicious cafe next door and the gorgeous beach in front. The renovations/maintenance have made it even better. Plenty of shaded areas, change rooms/bathrooms, and friendly lifeguards around. Love bringing my littles here

One of the most amazing free water parks in Queensland. Areas for big or little kids. My son loves Wetside and that's our favourite place to visit when we come up to Hervey bay. Now with the playground and skate park next to it we love it even more.
