Dropped by here in the late afternoon. Not sure whether it wasn't opened or already closed for the day. Anyway it was worth coming and exploring the outside of the Centre.

We were lucky to have weather that was lovely, although it was a bit cool and fresh, the sun was shining. A nice fresh winter's day. The kangaroos lazying in the sun, few Emu, and a kookaburra. Its a place I will return to for more adventures, during the summertime.

information center open, but cultural center/museum closed due to water damage(?). cafe was also closed. information center sells a number of nice and interesting souvenirs and local products. worth checking out, but probably only indeed the cultural center is open. walking through to a large grass patch after the cultural center found us a number of emus and a few kangaroos!

Cultural centre is closed. Info centre Cafe hasn't opened for years. Small giftshop. That's about it. Wetland walk is terrible and land is screaming out for Management. Wood, leaves and branches everywhere. Really disappointing as it used to be the highlight of the Grampians.

A must see/do experience whilst visiting the Grampians. The film is very entertaining with the history of the area, from many perspectives. The cafe & gift shop are a delight. Try the Lemon Myrtle Scones with a coffee.... unreal, delicious. A memorable experience.

I remember when this was being built and although it still looks good, some of the displays are getting tired, although the information is still good. Located just outside of Halls Gap you can walk or ride along well made paths. Inside is a small cafe where you can dine on fresh food and refreshments. Outside are some excellent interpretation boards that give a history of the area and the life prior to white settlement. The retail shop is extensive with lots of interesting items. There is plenty of parking under the shaded gums. The place is wheelchair friendly and in fact you can motor on your wheelchair from town to the centre. Very kid friendly with lots for the little ones to do. I would say you could spend at s minimum and hour here. There are tours available as well. Enjoy.

If you ever take a trip to Halls Gap or Grampians National Park, don't forget to visit this amazing waterfall. This was not in my list when we go there. I visited there on first week of July and the waterfall is just amazing. I thought to visit this after seeing a name board. So worth visiting. You need to take a short walk from car park and you will meet this amazing waterfall. The walk is moderately challenging as pathway may cover with small water ways. Despite that it was an easy walk. Will take around 15-30 mins. The surrounding was also so beautiful

This hiking trail is easily accessible from the car park and suitable for kids. The trail leads to a stunning waterfall located in a beautiful area. It's an ideal spot for a picnic lunch, exploring the surroundings, and continuing on with your travels. The trail is flat, without any hills to climb, and offers opportunities to spot various animals. It's especially worth visiting after heavy rainfall.

Lots of water flowing over falls...looks great! Easy undulating walk in is good.

Very easy walk for all levels of ability, relatively flat terrain. Interesting lack of running water in the rocky creek/river bed. The falls come into view and I guess depending on the rainfall will be how impressive the falls are on the day. Beautiful gully, easy walk, but if you're expecting Mc Kenzies Falls, your going to be disappointed. Still worth the photo opportunity

Visited during start of summer. Small waterfall tucked in nicely in the woods. Enjoyed the trail towards the waterfall. You can actually go very near to the waterfall. But I assume, things will be different during wet seasons. Loved the sound of the winds gushing the trees. If you are coming from Bellfield side, you have to drive past the waterfalls to reach the car park. Can be tricky, if you don’t realise because, of network connectivity issue. Better have offline maps beforehand. No toilets, ample parking spots. Trail is kids and seniors friendly. But prams might find it tricky. Include in your list if you have spare time.

Fairly easy walk; mostly flat. Can be muddy towards the end. A most unusual looking waterfall as the rock layers are very much horizontal all the way down the face.

Totally surprised. Unsure if we wanted to visit with my son's family. Took the risk - it was amazing. Much, much bigger than you would think. Amazing animals and habitats. Our grandchildren were captivated. A fantastic attraction - under rated and unknown?

A special shoutout to the lovely young lady at the front desk her warm smile and wonderful help set the tone for the day. The girl working in the food van was absolutely incredible friendly, efficient, and so lovely to chat with. And to the amazing keepers who guided us through the most unforgettable Rhino experience wow! Their knowledge, passion, and care for these magnificent animals made it truly magical. Getting up close and learning about the rhinos was something we’ll never forget. Halls Gap Zoo is a credit to everyone who works there. It’s not just a zoo, it’s an experience full of heart, beauty, and incredible people. Highly recommend to everyone! 🦏✨monique and Nathan

A real surprise. Was not expecting a zoo this incredible in this location. Great layout, and plenty of free range animals to get close to. The deer were hilarious and friendly. Get a few feed bags for the walk through the zoo. Also has a great playground inside.

A great little zoo with a relaxed vibe and plenty to see. Grabbed a food bag each at the entrance and had a blast feeding the friendly deer; it definitely added to the experience. The meerkats were hilarious, constantly popping up and checking us out like tine security guards. Paths are easy to follow which helped when a deer ate my map! We saw a good mix of native and exotic animals and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Halls Gap Zoo is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Grampians area.

Fantastic Zoo! We spent a solid 2–3 hours exploring the winding paths, each lined with enclosures featuring a great mix of wildlife—local favourites and international species, from tiny marsupials, monkeys🐒 or reptiles to towering Giraffe's 🦒 The entry fee might feel a bit high at first, but once you see the scale and care involved (rhinos and giraffes aren’t exactly cheap), it’s easy to understand why. Friendly deer and peacocks roam freely and are happy to be hand-fed with feed bags available for purchase. It’s a well-kept, thoughtfully laid-out zoo that makes for a great half-day outing. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I didn’t plan on visiting the zoo whilst visiting the Grampians/Halls Gap, however I couldn’t help myself after reading the reviews. It is absolutely amazing there! The animals appear to be well looked after and loved, they all have more than suitable enclosures and then you’ve got the free roaming animals which makes it feel so different to most zoos. I would definitely make another trip here just to go to this zoo, hopefully next time I plan ahead and can try out the animal experiences. Not as many animals as mainstream zoos, however the circuit walk, being able to hand feed and get up close & personal with the roaming animals, and the fact that the animals in enclosures there seem genuinely happy makes up for that factor. Be mindful of the deer ambushing you for the feed though! 😂

We visited today…. And had an absolute delightful time…. Karina was fantastic - knowledgeable, fun and engaging… and along with the great wines and the cheeses … we had two great hours just grazing and appreciating a true iconic vineyard…. Without a doubt - if in the area - VISIT!

Best's Wines is a MUST stop for anyone travelling down the western hwy! I visited at the recommendation of a friend that lives near by on my way back to Melbourne and it was the best part of my day!!! The staff are super friendly and proud of what they do. I loved the self guided tour and history of the vineyard. The sparkling Shiraz was absolutely divine and the food is amazing! On top of all of that it's great value for money, I had a self guided tour, lunch, a wine tasting and took home 2 bottles that didn't break the bank! I can't wait to drop in again and share the experience with my husband next time we're in the area!!!

Do yourself a favour and go visit this vineyard!!! Absolutely beautiful experience to have, taste home made wine, together with some interesting vin history. Really good!

Great place, wonderful wines especially the Pinot Noir. Service was a little rushed as if they were in a hurry to get us out. Odd with only 2 other couples in. Still overall a good experience. Disappointing that their wines were cheaper elsewhere than at the cellar door.

We visited Seppelt Great Western for our anniversary, and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had! The underground cellar tour led by Ricky was the highlight of our day. He was knowledgeable, funny, and made the whole tour feel special and personal. His way of explaining things was simple and engaging — we were never bored for a second! Decided to visit at the last minute during a recent trip to the Grampians. Am glad I did. Had a fantastic tour with a very enlightened tour guide who for the life of me I can’t remember his name, he wouldn’t be impressed. 😂 The underground vaults are incredible like something out of Harry Potter - think chamber of secrets. Oh, and the wine of pretty good to. Highly recommended!

Seppelt Estate and Cellar Door are huge. The wine tasting area has local goods and fare for sale. The Seppelt and Pyrenees area wines are pleasant. (but not our taste, we prefer the boutique estate wines). There are Cellar Tours, but we did not take this. Yes, definitely worth a visit!

We booked the cellar tour at the last minute and it turned out to be an absolute highlight. The history of this place is fascinating, and Taryn brought it to life with her warmth and storytelling, she made every moment feel special. Walking through the cool, dimly lit cellar was incredible, like stepping back in time. The tour wraps up with a wine tasting included in the ticket, and you can treat yourself to extra tastings afterwards if you wish. Tom was also fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and spot-on with his wine suggestions for us to take home. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

Had a tour with Ricky the other day and it was a great experience. I’ve been to Seppelt many times, and even did a tour with him last year as well - very knowledgeable, engaged, and a place filled with history. Had a great time exploring the underground drives, followed by a delicious sparkling tasting. Lots of great wines here - not just the sparklings but the reds as well (personally not a white drinker). So great to see that the community has advocated for such an important historic place to be remembered and enjoyed. Book in for a tour and say hi to Ricky - an experience definitely worth having.

Wonderful dog friendly winery with an incredible menu of bespoke wine. Taste after taste, every bottle better than the last. Our hosts Annie and Lily were generous with their time, with helping us navigate the area as tourists, and fed us a delicious platter of antipasto. We have loved Taltarni wines for many years now which we get here in WA, and were excited to be stopping in on our road trip through Victoria. It was one of the stops we had been looking forward to for a long time. The CD was absolutely amazing and all that we hoped it would be, we had very high hopes. Unfortunately Anne who looked after us left us highly disappointed, she clearly didn’t know much about the wines, we asked a few simple questions but her responses were rude, and she acted like we were interrupting her day. Having waited so long to go there, we left with only 2 bottles as we just wanted to get out of there. We still love the wines, at least they didn’t leave a bitter taste in our mouths.

Dropped in there with friends for a cheese and meat platter and wine . Was very disappointed with the lack of knowledge from the woman serving- Anne - she was outright rude and was obviously lacking in her knowledge. She spoke very rudely to another staff member who looked embarrassed. The cheese platter wasn’t as good as the one we had last year. There was an amazingly knowledgeable woman last year who was friendly and helpful. We bought a lot of wine last year . But she was gone and had been replaced by this Anne who was just plain rude and had no idea about the wine. We left unhappy. We were going to book a large group for November but have decided to go elsewhere instead.

Annie ensured we had the most amazing experience tasting the wines available at Taltarnie. She also provided platters that were a delight, patient, knowledgeable a credit to the winery.

Came in for Easter weekend. The lady behind the bar was useless. Her customer skill were clearly lacking. And it was obvious she knew nothing about the wine she was pouring. Also the coffee was undrinkable. Taltarni use to be our favourite place to visit….we won’t be back

Beautiful native setting for the tasting room. Lovely use of timber throughout. Very helpful new customer service girl, friendly but not pushy! Wide choice of wine to taste!

We can only rave about our stay here and had recommended it to at least half a dozen others within days of return. Great area for bike riding across the ranges. Wake up and wind down to fantastic views. Very comfy, not fancy but exceptional value and very welcoming.

I recently had the good fortune of tasting Wimmera Hills new Sparkling Shiraz Rose. Its such an approachable, easy drinking wine with a lovely finish. It's my new go to light sparkling. Excellent work from Ben, Jane & team.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Pyrenees/Grampians. Jane and Ben are as welcoming as we have experienced in trips to countless wineries. The wine is amazing and the gin is every bit as good. If you are heading to this region and are in anyway interestedin Shiraz, gin, or both, I simply cannot endorse the drive out to Wimmera Hills enough. Best set aside at least an hour too, you won't want to leave!

Had a lovely day here, experiencing the peaceful countryside, the generous wine and gin tastings and a delicious lunch. Jane and Benjamin are welcome and interesting hosts who produce an incredible range of spirits and wine. Love the new Christmas Gin and the Tasmanian Pepperberry remains a favourite.

Highly recommended! This delightful cottage is for anyone looking for a "hidden treasure" getaway. The whole weekend was wonderful, from the thoughtful and environmentally friendly bathroom products, to the picturesque outlook from the balcony, and the most warm and welcoming hospitality. We were camping nearby at Glenpatrick with friends, went for a tasting to Wimmera Hills. Jane and Ben were very welcoming and generous in their tastings, included a free cheese and fruit platter, flat bread freshly made. Of note is the use of local produce in their offerings. Well worth a visit and I highly recommend a tasting.

My partner and I spent a restorative two nights at this lovely winery nestled in hills of the Victorian pyrenees. Jane and Ben made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The location was beautiful and well-positioned for exploring the local country. Highly recommend ! We will be back in the summer !

Grand old building. History laid on.

After receiving state funding from Heritage Victoria the magnificent Maryborough Station underwent a 4‐year three-stage restoration of the façade, the slate roof and clock tower and glazed lantern covering the main carriageway platform completed in 2012. It is a tribute to the Victorian Railways, Architectural Works Department completed in 1890 as an outstanding example to the school of Victorian railway architecture developing a regional rather than national or international modern style. It is one of the finest examples in the country of Queen-Anne architecture which displays many hallmarks of the Anglo‐Dutch style which is enlivened at the roofline with gables and an asymmetrically placed clock tower. During the 1970’s much of the original facade ornamentation, the orbs, pedestals and ball-caps and rendered octagonal chimney crowns were sadly removed. These were carefully re-cast and reinstated as part of the restoration programme. The exterior was re-rendered using Adelaide ‘Brightonlite’ yellow-ocher oxide cement render. The residents of Maryborough were delighted with the result and applauded its face-lift and remarked “this is how it was meant to be” and how they could remember the way the station looked originally. An outstanding feature of Maryborough Station is its long platform covered by a continuous glazed lantern at the apex. This is said to be the longest single platform outside the Melbourne region and measures 1010 meters including the rail motor sidings. Today, Maryborough Station operates an art gallery emporium, a fully licensed restaurant in the grand dining hall (thanks Lloyd) and VLine post and freight services for passenger and goods trains. Maryborough Station is an exceptional country Victorian attraction and well worth the visit. Thank you and all the best, Chris Wilmar

On our way home to Mount Gambier today we stopped in to Marlborough station hoping for coffee and early feed....OMG we were not disappointed... The best cooked breakfast I have ever experienced....every mouthful delicious and well presented...chai late..prefect... What lovely friendly staff.....amazing atmosphere....do your self a favour if travelling and looking for a good feed...worth the stop....

A beautifully maintained and peaceful spot! Ballarat Botanical Gardens is nicely arranged and was already showing signs of vibrant life as it gets ready for the spring bloom. The avenue of former Prime Ministers' statues adds a historical touch. Plenty of black swans and coots from the nearby lake add to the charm. Great for a relaxed, scenic walk. 🌿🦢🌼

We spent the whole day here and had so much fun. Such a beautiful spot. And the kids enjoyed it too. We made a competition about how many statues we could find. Large wooden playground as well and plenty of parking. Good amount of toilet blocks spread out around the area.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely stunning! The Ballarat Botanical Gardens are a true gem. Strolling along Lake Wendouree with the gardens on one side and the water on the other is pure serenity. The Prime Ministers Avenue is a unique and fascinating walk through Australian political history—each bronze bust is beautifully crafted and adds a thoughtful touch to the experience. The highlight for me was the Conservatory. It's a vibrant burst of colour and fragrance, with seasonal floral displays that are always changing and always spectacular. Whether you're a local or just visiting Ballarat, this place is a must-see. Peaceful, educational, and beautifully maintained—5 stars without hesitation!

A very nicely set out Botanical Gardens. Well maintained. There is a lake nearby as well as a tourist tram. The Avenue of the Former Prime Ministers Statues along the main path in the gardens was interesting to see. It is a peaceful place to have a walk through or to sit and rest. Well worth a look to see.

The glasshouse and fernery are must-sees, while the lakeside paths are ideal for walks and picnics. It’s well-maintained, family-friendly, and offers seasonal beauty year-round. Most stunning and enchanting place to visit! No bookings required. Walk ins and generous parking available. Easy to walk around. Best time to go during Autumn with trees shining with colorful leaves. Well maintained gardens; clean toilets with disability access ♿ Perfect place to visit if you looking for a relaxing day out. Wide range of stunning flowers continue to impress you as you walk around. All botanicals are labelled for easy reference. Beautiful statues including Australia’s prime ministers. Greenhouse is amazing with beautifully arranged plants in a variety of mixed colours. They sell plants near the information centre. Well located and not too far from the city centre. Very friendly staff. Do take a minute to thank them for the stellar job they are doing ✨

Always a lovely spot, 6km running/walking/bike track around the lake, getting lights put in which will be great for safety at dusk and early mornings. Lots of bird life, great for kayaking, SUP or windsurfing and fishing. Lots of playgrounds and toilets around every side of the lake.

Really nice spot. We don't have lakes where we live and so found this to be really nice, the style of buildings in this area set a really lovely scene when looking out across the lake and bird life was abundant. We stopped to see at a few different points around the lake, the adventure playground, and some of the boat houses were great. This is also a great spot to go for a jog or just stroll along the walking tracks.

A beautiful spot for a walk, lots a great views to be had of the local bird life and historic buildings. There is a walking track right around the lake, which you can also ride a bike along to. Lots of places to stop and take in the views and capture some great moments. There are several playground around the lake with the main one on the west side near the Botanical Gardens. There are also old tram rides and paddle boat rides at certain time of the year. Small boats and fishing are also allowed on the lake. A great place to visit for the day.

A really beautiful walk around Lake Wendouree. Plenty of wildlife, viewpoints and a few points of interest around the lake. The walk itself is not far at all and the pathways are quite clear and suitable for pushchairs / wheelchairs. Dogs are allowed around the lake (on-leash) and there's a few cafes / restaurants for a coffee and snacks.

Amazing lake which is spread over a vast expanse. It has got walking/ running trail along its edge which provides good opportunity for people run, walk, cycle at their leisure. The lake itself is pretty clean and has got lots of birds and ducks etc. Some people had fishing rods with them as well, not sure if there are any fishes on offer though. Overall a good place to visit if you are in the area.

There's a wonderful walking track that circles this lake (from memory, around 7km) and as if the views across the lake aren't enough, there are some simply lovely botanic gardens, the Robert Clark Conservatory and a few other surprises. I love this track. And if you have the right day for it, the lake is gorgeous at dusk.

The place where you can get connected with the nature sounds and enjoy with your love ones. I really like this lake. The wildlife and surrounding is fantastic. And yeah, Don't Forget the Dawn and Sunset its amazing.

I went there today. The best thing about this gallery is location which is close to station and shopping areas. Some of the collections were amazing and visiting it is completely free of charge. Just one show these days is a paid one. There were works from a ballarat based artist which were superb. The gallery also had a gift shop to purchase souvenirs as well as a cafe for relaxing. The washrooms were very clean. The staff was really nice. Overall it was a good experience.

We liked this gallery as it was quiet and well-maintained. It wasn’t a big place, they offered about five different exhibitions, from classic paintings to modern art. They also had a small shop and a cafe on the ground floor, which was nice and cozy.

A well maintained art gallery with beautiful paintings. The guided tour was also very interesting and informative. There were some nice books in the store downstairs as well.

The gallery resides in a beautiful building that dates back to the town's gold rush boom years. Free entry to see a great collection of Australian and European art with some dating back to 1800 or earlier. There were also temporary exhibitions and modern art installations. Apparently only 2% of their art is able to be displayed there at any one time so it may be worth a follow up visit later on.

I went to the Art Gallery of Ballarat today on a Friday. It was not busy. Entry was free which is great. Only a few minutes walk from Ballarat railway station. The Gallery is very interesting with a lot of interesting arts. It's very clean and nice like a 5-star hotel. I loved and enjoyed all the arts that they displayed, really appreciate all the staff for taking care of the place so well and highly appreciate all the artists that provided their artwork there.

Beautiful art gallery with interesting and thoughtful art. Place was packed last Sunday despite the rain, the Vintage Car Show, part of Ballarat's Heritage Festival. It was free entry on that day. We had a walk through downstairs but couldn't handle the crowd so didn't make it upstairs. Will be back.

The building is absolutely lovely! It's so nice to see that it was purpose built, and continues to house many creative works of art. Highly recommend a visit if you are in Ballarat.

Husband and I loved our visit on Wednesday! We were there for roughly 5 hours and there was plenty to see and do that we didn't have much down time or waiting around. Wasn't too busy which was a bonus, so we got to quietly enjoy a lot of the experiences and shops minus the 2-3 school excursions running around, but we didn't cross paths often. The staff did a wonderful job at making the experience feel immersive and authentic, and we loved that there were things to enjoy as adults. Definitely recommend buying the mine tour or the photo time slot in advance!

A fantastic day or 2 out for the whole family. Step back in time and explore Australia's gold rush history. Cute shops, delicious food from a bakery to a Cafe. We live how the staff are not only in costumes but character too. The displays, tours are really well done.

While visiting Vic/Ballarat area thought I'd pop into here for something to do. Allocated a few hours. Ended up staying all day. It was incredible. Best way to describe it was a living museum. The staff there (mostly volunteer) were all in character and dressed up and so amazingly friendly. Themed so well and had a fantastic time. Highly recommended this place and I'll certainly go back. Did a mine tour as well and found that fascinating.

Visiting Sovereign Hill felt like stepping straight into the 1850s. The whole place brings the gold rush era to life with incredible detail, from the mining demonstrations to the dusty streets and costumed characters. We tried our hand at gold panning and, to our surprise, actually found gold! It was such a fun, hands‑on moment that made the day unforgettable. A brilliant experience for anyone wanting history with a bit of adventure.

We attended Aura at Sovereign hill and it was a fantastic experience. The 3 elements of the show were great, breaking up the story telling and the way it was showcased was a great way to see and hear the story. There was a school attending the same night we did (roughly 60ish students) but the team did a great job of moving everyone around through the 3 different experiences. Really worth the visit.

Solid gold. Sovereign Hill is a family friendly romp through early gold mining in Victoria, historical town with a unique blend of hand tools and functioning Industrial Revolution technologies make this a prize in Victoria. From the shops to the Poppet head frame a variety of interesting artifacts and a knowledgeable period attired staff that are eager to explain the town. This will take 4-6 hours to get a good self-guided tour. The gardens on the hill are a pleasant diversion from the rustic backdrop, don’t miss it!!

Even as adults we had a lovely day there, even with a sprinkle of rain. Still have the same memories of the place from 20+ years ago, which speaks to their upholding of the heritage component of the place. Underground tour was great, candy shop was delicious. Red Coats March is a must attend.

Absolutely amazing time we had here. We had the gatehouse room sleeps 6!! Loved having the castle to ourselves (and the few other residents) after hours, kids have has the best time even with no amusements on. The castle is amazing to explore and do the maze in the dark by moon light. Location is great too. Just far enough out of Ballarat to be quiet and remote but local enough to drive into town for dinner and back. ☺️ Kids have asked to come back already and we haven't left yet. Lots of activities for everyone to get involved in and staff have been super friendly and helpful. ☺️ Definitely on our list of places to come back to ❤️

We stayed at a caravan site and had park entrance. The site was fantastic! 10/10 you really can’t go wrong with any site! They are all fabulous! The park was wonderful. The kids had a great time, the staff are wonderful and the acting from the charters in the park was fantastic. I don’t usually rate anything but this 100% exceeded our expectations!

Came during school holidays for the goblins and fairies activities and were disappointed as there simply wasn’t anything on! Website says there’s fairies, goblins, wizards etc and characters wandering around with activities to do - nothing like that on all day! Incredibly overpriced and be aware everything inside costs extra and is an obvious money grab. Jousting lasted 20 mins, eatery sold out of everything good before 2pm and all the stores (which are permanent rentals) were overpriced for Temu items. It’s incredibly small also, thought it’d take a day to see, we were done pretty quickly and it does close quite early. Animals are also kept in small, dirty pens during the castle opening hours. Poor Kevin the peacock was a particularly sad sight to see. Also not accessible for the elderly or disabled - no ramps at all, incredibly unstable and hilly stoned paths/roads. Disappointing. We stayed in a King room overnight, again highly overpriced for what you get. Avoid in Winter as big gap under the front door would make it freezing. Dirty bathroom, no water pressure, lumpy mattress. Wouldn’t recommend staying here!

Went to a Halloween event over the weekend. Found the whole experience and what the grounds have to offer extremely underwhelming. Definitely cannot spend a whole day there as there’s minimal to see and do. Quite boring, even for the little kids. Shows were the highlight of the visit. Overpriced for what it is. Our first and last visit there. Do not recommend.

Haven't been here since I was a kid. Took my family with me. And we loved every bit of it! Food was great. The entertainment was abustly amazing. My highlight was having a great chat to the blacksmith. Definitely coming back again!

We took the family up for the faries, goblins and knights school holiday fun and my girls had a blast. They were dressed up as fairies and searched the grounds for different things. They got to be apart of giving the favour to one of the knights and were so excited. All the characters make it super fun. I do love coming here

Interesting place and the unicorn festival was particularly fun for kids. Not sure what it's like on a normal day. I wouldn't go out of my way for it normally but in this case we drove out an hour or so and had a nice day. (And Google, it's not a hotel so I can't comment on the rooms etc!)

Mixed reaction here. Pools and spa were great, but there wasn't really enough space for the volume of people. One pool for basic entry, pay extra for the other 3 pools and sauna. Per earlier the pools are beautiful: fresh, different temps, one with beds to lie in the water, very clean facilities. But the pools themselves fit about 10 ppl in before you're feeling crowded, which took away from the relaxation side of things. Recommended trying it to see if it works for you.

Disappointing experience. I have been wanting to come here for years and it was such a let down. The communal space is too small for the volume of people they allow in at a given time. It's advertised as a relaxation haven, but instead it had more of a local pool feel. There were too many children splashing around and jumping in. We visited off peak too. I'm a mother myself and am positive towards allowing children in, but perhaps have an adults only section that doesn't cost double the price. The staff assume you have been before and were vague and disinterested. There were no cups at the hydrating station and no lifeguards/staff to be seen to ask if they could refill them. The only positives are the tranquil setting, nestled deep in Hepburn and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked with essentials. Save your money and go to Peninsula Hot Springs instead. Same price and way better value for money.

Very disappointed with this experience! Do not recommend it at all! Very overpriced for what they got to offer! Water temperature was just like the local swimming pool. Only 1 slightly larger and 1 small pool to choose from. No outdoor spa, no cold plunge pool. Paid $60 for the same experience that could have been much less to go to a public swimming pool, not relaxing, not hot at all. Only 1 change room for male and female together! It was ridiculously awkward and weird! The conditioner bottle was totally empty, it shows that no one maintain or clean the area for days. I'm just glad that I only wasted $60 without choosing any other package as they can't even uphold the most basic general experience.

Unfortunately disappointed in my experience here. You are paying a pretty large fee for use of what is in effect 1 heated pool and 1 hot tub that due to the large volume of people they allow access to at one time doesn’t allow for a calming or relaxing experience. Whilst I respect the decision to allow children access I do feel it would be appropriate to have an adult only of child friendly zone. In comparison to other bath house experience I’ve had for a similar price point I’ve found this one lack luster.

Well worth the trip to relax and enjoy this beautiful setting. Very friendly and welcoming staff added to the overall experience in the mineral spa. We didn’t stay in the hotel but had a pleasant experience in the spa. Thank you for having us

My sister and I had the most relaxing weekend away at Hepburn. We both started with a treatment at the spa, where we were treated to the best facial we've ever had. I have sensitive skin, so facials can be hit and miss, but none of the products irritated my skin, which was great. We then had a 90min bathing session, followed by a wander through the spa apothecary. Here, Michael was absolutely amazing, and helped us concoct our own bath scrub and bath soak. I can't rate this experience highly enough! The rest of our weekend was equally as relaxing, with a stay in one of the escape villas and dinner at a local restaurant. If you're in need of rejuvenation, Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa will not disappoint!

We had the most amazing weekend at the bathhouse. The room was beautiful! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The bathhouse pools and spas were glorious. I can not fault any part of our experience. We didn’t want to leave.

One day is not enough to see it all. Wow . I totally love it. There's a café where you can take a break and a bite. The staff are wonderful, happy and friendly. If you’re heading to Daylesford and think you’ll just “pop in” to the Mill Market—think again. I had to physically usher my mum and sister out after hours of wandering, because we could’ve happily spent the whole day there. This place is a treasure trove. Yes, the vintage wares are incredible—retro furniture, vinyl records, quirky knick-knacks—but it’s not just a nostalgia fest. There’s modern giftware, a garden section with charming outdoor pieces, and even a cozy little café for when your legs give out from browsing. There are toilets on site. One moment I was admiring vintage crystal ware, the next I was face-to-face with a shelf of ventriloquist dolls that were equal parts fascinating and creepy. (Seriously, they looked like they had stories to tell—and not all of them wholesome.) Whether you’re a collector, a curious wanderer, or just someone who loves a good rummage, the Mill Market is a must. Just be warned: time disappears in there.

This second-hand market is absolutely incredible — probably the largest in all of Victoria, even bigger than the one in Geelong! 🏺 Every section is so well organized, and you can easily spend an entire day wandering around discovering treasures. From antique furniture and vintage clothes to rare collectibles, there’s just so much to explore. The atmosphere is relaxed yet full of life, with friendly stall owners and lots of hidden gems waiting to be found. Whether you’re a serious collector or just love browsing unique finds, this place is an absolute must-visit when you come to Daylesford. Trust me, you won’t leave empty-handed — or disappointed!

Full of many treasurers . Lots of books, furniture, bric a brac , anything you can imagine. Great outdoor garden nursery full of plants and other surprises.

We visited these aptly named markets 7 years ago in 2018 and we had to revisit again. Being from Perth, WA - we don’t have anything that remotely resembles these incredible markets. So much variety and such quirkiness. We only had 2 hours here but easily spend a couple of days going through everything. We were concerned Our 2 young teenage boys wouldn’t last half an hour but even they found interest and lasted 1.5 hours before they got bored and wanted out. Thankfully the cafe onsite managed to placate them for a tad longer (although the sausage roll did take 20 minutes…) but their nougat made up for it and was amazing! Love the Eiffel Tower and gorilla out front! Will try to squeeze in another visit before we head home.

I have never been anyplace quite like this. I could spend all day and still have not explored all their is to see.

Beautiful spot for a walk around the lake. It took us about an hour with three kids in tow (one in pram). It's reasonably pram friendly, however, be mindful of extremely steep hills! There's a couple of them. The playground is fully fenced, which is a massive bonus!

Stunning lake. Great walking tracks. Well kept areas. But the little coffee place is terrible. The wait was ridiculous and I wouldn't think you could muck up making a peppermint tea.

Beautiful spot fot a day trip. So serene... so beautiful. The walk around the lake is full of tranquility. A must-go-to spot... be it summer, winter, spring or autumn... as each season this place has it own different beauty.

Within walking distance of town, Lake Daylesford is a man-made lake that was built in the 1930’s. On arrival, early in the morning, a mist was rising from the water. The picturesque lake offers a ‘peace mile’ walking track which is almost 3 k’s long. There is also plenty to do here, swimming, fishing and birdwatching. There is a playground, paddleboats (but I don’t think they have seen much action for a while) BBQ’s and table and chairs. Food, coffee and comfort facilities onsite too. Well worth a visit if you are in town

Nice, calm, and peaceful scenery 😌 Guards your food. The ducks in the lake can be naughty! 👀 I visited on a Monday summer night with friends around 4.30ish. There were only us on the deck. It was perfect day to chill. Lovely place.

Such a beautiful place.. Visited in April so go to see beautiful fall colours.. driving from Melbourne to Daylesford is so scenic and beautiful. This place is very calm, peaceful and scenic. A good walk..not difficult at all.. nice place to spend time with family.. Public toilets are available. Coffee and basic snack places are available too.

Beautiful gardens. Recommend to take the scenic drive around the property first. Signs are located as soon as you drive in. It will bring you up to a carpark. Perfect place to take in the views, have a picnic, or short stroll to the wonderful cafe. Allow yourself a few hours or plan the day. Public Toilets are available. Beautiful walking trails amongst the trees, gorgeous unique flowers. Highly recommend the cafe for a bite and coffee.

Lovely little walk with magnificent trees and flowers along the way to a yummy cafe which located on the grounds. My son loves to climb the tower and taking photos of almost every tree there. We are visiting this place several times a year at different seasons of school holidays.

If you in Daylesford, go and see this little botanic garden. A little bit neglected but just in the right way to make your mind wander... Go on a quiet evening and watch the sunset or marvel at some of the big feature trees. Don't forget to walk through the fernery below the car park...

An interesting estate that has been restored to a great extent. The mansion is listed with the National Trust and has been furnished with many period pieces to complement some original items from the home. There is a function space that is used for weddings, etc. It would be great to see further restoration projects to continue to preserve the integrity of the structure. The guided tour provides insight into the fascinating history of the past residents and their contributions to the development of the region. It's great to see that a book has been published about this mansion. Guided tours run on the hour. Stairs may be challenging to negotiate for some.

This was a great tour, I love wandering around historic houses, but rarely do they make me feel sad for the occupants. Barwon Park Mansion did, and not just because the exterior seems reminiscent of Pentridge Prison. The family's story was one of great wealth - a giant house in the middle of nowhere speaks to that - overlaid with the deprivations that living 150 years ago brought. And that's not just commodes and children sleeping on the veranda year round. Our tour guide conveyed this and more in ninety minutes, and it was never boring. I'm glad we made the detour to see Barwon Park. It is a surprising part of our colonial history with two - to me - surprising facts about imports and hospitals.

We arrived at a rainy Sat and fortunately had one of my best guided tour with National Trust so far. Our guide Cameron was caring, kind and accomodating, he’s showed us the rich historical site and garden, as well as present the story of the 2 families who’s living there for a century including the Austins. He made pauses for me to translate for my grandparents and did the tour in a pace that’s elderly friendly. Overall this is a masterpiece with artifacts and antiques, worse a visit if you enjoy history.

I have visited the mansion during the September open day. The guide, Ann, was very knowledgeable and engaging. The mansion is gorgeous - a real hidden gem.

A beautiful and inspiring place both outside and inside. Almost all rooms are furnished with furniture, which is a rarity. Large area around Mantion, good for waliking. The tour was good with mystical stories, though it was a bit scary about the ghosts stories, but interesting.👍I very like and reccomed to visit.

Beautiful old mansion full of history. Our tour guide Doug was full of interesting stories, having been involved with Barwon Park for nearly 20 years. Lots of gorgeous photo opportunities and plenty of parking. Highly recommend visiting.

Local to us and we are embarrassed that we drive past twice a day. All that changed today with a stunning flight of wine tasting. The man has absolutely no awareness while driving and nearly hit me while I was walking on the PEDESTRIAN crossing at Woolworths Geelong West, and kept on driving. Disgusting and not a good look for the business.

What a beautiful wine tasting experience! Thank you to Tim and Jo (and to Rufus and Nitro -their adorable dogs) for being such wonderful hosts. Every wine we tasted was delicious, I just had to get one bottle of each! We will definitely be back again soon! Great wine set amongst the most beautiful scenery, topped off with a genuine and kind host (and dog). I visited here with a group of girls last Saturday and loved it. Tim has a great knack for making wine and sharing his love for the whole process, evidenced by him naming the wines after his children. If you love a homely, genuine vibe in a setting where the owner helps you to connect with the land's history and unique wine varieties - give this place a go. The quality of the wine is top notch, isn't mass produced and is affordably priced!

We had a relaxing birthday celebration here. The setting was beautiful, the roses made a lovely backdrop for photos. The wine tasting was spread out over the afternoon along with the food which resulted in us staggering out carrying our favourite wines. The Cab Franc was a favourite with us all. The small children spent the afternoon running and playing in between platters of food. A bit of a drive but well worth the trip. Be prepared not to rush, sit back, relax and enjoy the wine and scenery.

The scenery is breathtaking. Felt like green Swiss Alps. Lovingly Greeted by a friendly dog who wants to play fetch all the time. Wine tasting is a really unique experience here. Family winery with names of children and Granny ❤️ that. Winery with a clean conscience and no preservatives. And you can feel the taste difference. Reminded me of Swan valley Boutique wine experience. Loved it and is going to be the first of many trips ahead.

So so so beautiful. One of my favourite hikes I’ve been on since I started hiking. The weather was amazing. The hike was relatively challenging, with a few rocky bits, but was very much worth it.

It’s one of the most beautiful places to visit in Victoria, perfect for any sunny day, whether in summer or winter. Some sections can be challenging, with slippery rocks and small areas where you need to lean on the rocks and hold a rope, so it’s not suitable for everyone—especially young children or the elderly. Definitely worth visiting, and I’d happily go again.

Beautiful walk through the Werribee gorge. The weather was on our side! Great challenges, and amazing views and scenery throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed the river walk and the beach area was excellent for a lunch stop. Highly recommend to take your time and enjoy this little bit of nature.

It was a very interesting trail comprises of walk by the beautiful stream, narrow cliff side walk, crossing huge rocks with rope support, uphill and downhill, beaches to swim. We in our 60s took approximately 4hrs to complete the Waribee Curcuit with stops for photo-taking.. we all had enjoyed the trail. Yes the anticlockwise could be a better direction to have the cliff narrow path and crossing the big rocks with rope support at the end of the trail..Strongly recommended.

I've walked both the short circuit and long and neither are overly difficult hikes. There are a couple of long steeper sections on both trails but nothing that will kill you. Slow and steady. Signage is ok. Could be better. But trail is pretty easy to identify without the signs. Although id still recommend having a digital or paper map with you as a backup. Not an overly scenic trail though. The nicest part is to the south along the creek. The majority of the trail is though the middle of the bush so not many lookouts along the way. Parking and toilet provisions are good. 3.5 stars because of the lack of scenery and the noise from the freeway on the northern end is a bit of a downer.

A fantastic place. Even on a grey, rainy day! Lots of options for trails too for different levels of trekkers. Easy or hard as you like. The low track runs along the creek (where we took a freezing but liberating dip) with a section you can climb across, which was good fun. We didn’t spot any koalas but apparently it’s known for a lot of sightings. Tip: park in bottom car park so you don’t finish your trek and have to walk uphill to get to your car!

amazing trail, lots of different walking options for different fitness levels and the picnic areas and nicely sectioned away from the trail. giving minus one star because the lookout point circuit is a little confusing. If you make it to the top, be mindful of signs.

A good place to visit with young kids, as they get to enjoy seeing their story book characters come to life. My daughter who's 4 years old absolutely enjoyed it. Plenty room supplied for packed lunches. There is a small cafe but not much variety for food options. Stroller friendly but a hike as you walk through the attractions to the top.

We had an enchanting day at Fairy Park with our kids! The princess-themed fairy tales and attractions were a huge hit with the little ones. The park was well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the interactive experiences, and we enjoyed the nostalgic feel of classic fairy tales brought to life. The food options were suitable for families, and the play areas were clean and safe. Overall, Fairy Park is a great place for families with young children who love princesses and fairy tales. We can't wait to come back and explore more!

I was amazed how well they have maintained the place since it's been around for more than 60 years! Highly recommend it especially for kids who grew up reading and watching fairy tales like Snow White, Pinnochio. Jack and the Beanstalk and much more. As an adult, it's a walk down memory lane :) I think we loved it as much as the kids did! It was a slow uphill walk with many stops and things to see, so we didn't really felt it. Easily you could spend 2-3 hours here. Priced $26 for adults and $14 for ages 3-16. Reasonable to me.

An amazing place to visit! Very beautiful and we'll kept. The kids absolutely loved hearing and seeing all the fairytales. We took the pram in with us, and it really was too bad! It is very steep on some spots, so being muscle power.

Fairy Park in Anakie is a magical spot for kids! The fairytale characters and story displays are so well done, and our kids loved exploring and spotting their favourites. A fun, safe, and imaginative day out for families.

This place is a wild ride. It was a rainy day and decided to go for a drive and came across this gem of a place. Has been around for a long time but the displays are timeless. Great playground for the kids.

What a wonderful place! I can't believe I haven't visited before in all the years I've lived in Melton, how lucky we got to see the swans babies 🦆🦆🦆 So precious! The park and gardens are so well maintained, there's people enjoying the walking paths which are well kept, and there's volunteers visibly on-site and they're VERY friendly and helpful. It's a a beautiful environment, the sounds of nature and wildlife in their habitat. The playground and seating areas are also well kept and fit in well with the botanical gardens. Keep up the awesome work 👍🏼

It is a good place, but when we went, there were no flowers or plants etc. Maybe it depends on the season. There is a bird sanctuary in the middle, but the lake and stuff were very dirty. There were different habitats on different sides and some Indigenous Artworks/ paintings. The playground was good, new, and it had stuff for younger kids. The walk itself was nice, and we saw some black swans and other species of birds. Do recommend visiting, but maybe in spring or summer when the flowers and plants are blossoming. The entry is free, and the botanical garden is free, too.

It's a great place for walking. The volunteers do a wonderful job with the gardens. No tickets needed. Open 24 hours 7 days a week

Been out walking in the evening just a bit before it starts to get dark in the Melton Botanic Gardens.. Beautiful place with many different walking paths and areas to see and explore.. some photos of the swans and ducks on the lake..

A nice place in Melton. A lot of diverse plants and bushes. The lake is beautiful. Some work still in progress. An area with Australian fruits can be a good addition which will produce food for birds and animals of this garden. Tracks are well maintained but there are garbages and dumps near the border with freeways which should be cleaned and better watched.

The diversity of plants selection are well look after, but some projects still progressing in this garden. It is very good place for kids and families, where includes seating facilities and playgrounds. People are allowed to bring some grains to feeding ducks, swan and other birds near the pond.

Fantastic place to go for a relaxing stroll and look at all the different plants from all over Australia and the world. There is a lake with BBQ facilities and toilets lots of water birds great place to unwind.

This museum was a lovely surprise. I learned a lot about history, visited an exhibition, and also the shop which was great. There lots of nice wool jumpers, scarves and socks and other products in the shop.

We had a great morning there and front ladies were amazing. Such a great place to learn about wools and history. Museum has a lot of information and all those real machinery to see. And easy access near Geelong waterfront.

I enjoyed my trip to the museum after a very long time. They have merino and possum wool socks here which I do enjoy wearing.

I spent about an hour enjoying the museum. Exhibits on wool manufacturing, sheep farming and a fashion display.

Very informative. I enjoyed it very much. I loved how they talk about not only the machinery but also other aspects such as animal welfare. The wildlife photography exhibition on the first floor is also amazing.

Loved the experience. The place seemed quite small and humble on the outside but packed a good amount of content inside, especially for the price. It went into detail about the whole process of wool production, with machines on display and images+text to explain the process. On the day we went, there was also a guy actually operating the central machine which is cool to see. Leave approx. 1 to 2 hours to experience the place. Really great place if you’ve got a bit of time and a couple bucks spare. Would recommend.

The Wool Museum was really interesting, but what we loved the most was the photography section! I wish they had stamps, stickers, or tickets as souvenirs instead of just the receipt—it would have been great for my journaling. I’d definitely visit again!

Visited Geelong Eastern Beach area on our way back from Botanical Garden. Beach has cafe, washroom, green area to sit, Giant Wheel and pool area for adults and children. Plenty of Parking was available when we visited. Its a nice place to relax and chill. Recommended.

🌳 Fantastic Family Park & Coastal Pool Opening Soon! Visited this lovely park in Geelong today during our holiday, and it was a great time despite the chill. The well‑equipped play area kept the kids entertained, with plenty of open grass, picnic and BBQ facilities, and clean amenities. The views of Corio Bay were simply stunning—perfect backdrop for family photos and sandy play. We were delighted to learn that the children’s sea pool at Eastern Beach—just by the park—is set to reopen from 1 November through to April. The shallow wading area, with its diving tower, springboards and fountains, is patrolled by lifeguards during the summer season . That gives us another seaside treat later this year! Highlights: Great for kids: Playground zones + space for running games Amenities: BBQs, picnic tables, toilets, showers Scenic spot: Art-deco boardwalk, sea baths, diving platforms Seasonal bonus: Children’s pool opens 1 Nov–21 Apr, with lifeguards on duty Despite a crisp spring breeze, our crew had a blast. Can’t wait to visit again in November when the sea pool reopens—another fun swim to add to our Geelong holiday plans!

This is beautiful part of the world & Eastern Beach Reserve is an airy space to enjoy a full view across the bay. This is a great place to walk, run & play. Includes a children's playground and is ideal for all outside activities. I certainly found our visit here very relaxing & great place for quiet reflection.

Probably one of my favourite places in Geelong ,we were over from our house in Bali and I was able to show my 13 year old son where I Bude to train in the open water pool, It is right beside the yatch club so it makes it interesting

Good place to relax if the crowd is less. Beware of seagulls, do not feed them. Keep your eatables covered else the swoop down and snatch it away.

This is my FAVOURITE BEACH!! And it’s the BEST BEACH I’ve been to out of all the beaches in Melbourne!! The most Cleanest and beautiful beach I’ve been to!!! Absolutely stunning!! This is the BEST BEACH IN THE WHOLE MELBOURNE!!! Absolutely the BEST!!! Everytime I come down from Sydney this is the beach that me and my family come too all the time!!! We don’t go to any other beach! We only come to Eastern Beach!!! This beach is better than Sydney beaches where I live!! I love how they always keep it CLEAN!!! It is always clean!!! And friendly people!!! It is a very family friendly environment!! When I came downtown they had decorated and added so many beautiful things to the beach! Little Creatures Brewery is a fantastic spot to visit, especially if you have kids in tow. They’ve got a small playground and some fun games to keep the little ones entertained while you enjoy a fresh beer straight from the source. The industrial-style atmosphere adds to the charm, making it a unique and lively place to hang out. While the food isn’t the highlight, the overall experience—being right next to the brewery and soaking in the laid-back vibes—definitely makes up for it. Worth a visit for the drinks and atmosphere alone!

We have been before to buy drinks however this is our first time dining here. Service was quick, food was great and the atmosphere was nice. The burger was really good and fresh, same as the flake. Only downside was the marg pizzas, the sauce they used was lacking flavour and the pizzas were quite dry. However we would definitely come back if we are in the area

Went here for drinks and dinner with friends.. The ambience of this place was good. We ordered few pizzas which were so so delicious. The service was super quick. The Arancini's portion was a bit small but overall it was delicious. Also the brownie with icecream is a MUST try. So good. Although I wasn't happy with the drinks menu that was available for that night. Obviously the variety of Beer was fantastic but there wasn't alot of variety in cocktails, mocktails or Wines. The kids area here was fantastic too. And the staff was wonderful.

My usual go to for a relaxing drive, drink a little bit and make my way home. No dramas, family time. The food is good, but the brews are astronomical. Love the lamb pizza with the dark ale.

Food was great, loved the vibe. Would definitely return. Kids had a blast as well and staff were super friendly.

Very cool place. Take the kids and let them play while you grab a sample rack of craft beers and listen to the music. We are also a big fan of their little pizzas, the kids love the fluffy based pepperoni pizzas too.

This place is fantastic for families. The playground is great for kids to burn off some energy, and the pizzas are absolutely delicious! There’s plenty of parking, and the outdoor space is perfect for enjoying a meal. The only minor downside is that it can get a bit noisy inside, but overall, it’s a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend!

Other than a very relaxing, beautiful and well maintain garden. Quute a few very big trees too. Great place for family walk and then enjoy a great meal and coffee at friendly cafe

Beautiful, well kept botanical gardens with lots of small paths and areas to sneak off to and see the beautiful birds and butterflies that are attracted to the area. I would advise picking up the map so you can check out the special plants that are there - I can't remember exactly, but there's a good number of heritage listed trees that are worth seeing just because you may find it hard to see them elsewhere! A giant redwood (Sequoia) is one of the areas, which is definitely worth seeing as well as a plant that looks like it's being chained to the ground - I don't remember what it's called but it looks impressive and I've definitely never seen one before! A bonus is that entrance is free and there is a small outdoor cafe that I assume is open seasonally (?) - sadly it wasn't open when I was visiting. It also wasn't crowded when I visited, which made the experience even more enjoyable. With its location so close to the waterfront, it's worth visiting if you're in the area to take a break or just to see the butterflies!

First visit to this botanical garden. It is a compact but full of variety of flora in this garden. Most of plants, flowers and shrubs cam be found here. However, as i m not a botanist, i may be wrong. Surely, it is dilligently arranged based by climatic zone. It also has temperature controlled room for tropical one. Tho, it has less green area to sit down and picnic inside the garden but outside, it has plenty room. 2 car parks on the side of enterance door. Surely it is recommended for anyone including for relaxation and learning even just jogging.

Visited the new conservatory today. Absolutely breathtaking. So much work has obviously gone into it! So many plants you don't get to see very often in Victoria.

Recommended place when you visit Geelong. Very quiet and well maintain. Close to Eastern Beach. So just one go. Huge parking area.

Car par is open and you need to leave before 5pm. Pot holes on the way to car park. Signage available for car park direction. Car park is flat. No bathroom available. Park your car here and do the walk towards werribee river.

Yes. I found the community park land and sports facilities adjacent to the Bungie's water hole on the Werribee River, which would be a great place to swim on a very hot day ... But they have No Swimming signs posted on the waters edge, so maybe there are crocodiles or piranha or sumting .... But it's a lovely spot.

Lovely river walk where dogs are welcome. No shade but easy path, nice views. Note, the road to the car park is full of large potholes and requires a lot of manoeuvring to avoid. Not unsafe but not everyone would enjoy this road.

The Werribee River Park track that joins from the Federation Trail is a dead end as the bridge over the river to the Mansion is closed and has been for 2 years following a flood event. Come on PV, get it fixed please. Posted October 2022 People who may be planning visits to the Werribee Regional Park should be aware of some access restrictions between now and the end of the year. Recent flooding has caused structural damage to the footbridge over the Werribee River, and the bridge is closed indefinitely. Update from Parks Victoria Best we can hope for is Spring 2025 "The proposed repair works to the structure and stream embankment are significant. Repair works need careful planning and design with many site and environmental factors being considered. Flora and fauna, and hydrological assessments have been undertaken. These have provided information required to schedule the repair works, which must occur at a certain time of year. This will minimise the impact on flora and fauna in the area surrounding the bridge and consider expected water levels in the river. An ideal timeframe has been determined and works are expected to take place in Q1 FY 25/26."

This should be better signed so more know about this beautiful place. Lovely trails to walk along and view the red cliffs or to walk along the river trails and see wallabies, lizards etc. Of course it is a lovely way to walk into the Werribee Mansion too.
