Stopped in this week with the rugrat and friend. Beautifully set out and lots of shade and handy for a stroll along the river. Highly recommended.

Relatively small and would have been nice if it were not for a probably well paid gardener employed to cut the grass, who in the process literally demolished much of the grassed areas. Unbelievable. Wish I'd taken some photos Sorry.

First time I've been to a park that bans dogs, what rubbish. At least allow them in on leash like other parks do. Would have been a nice park otherwise

A must see place in Horsham. For that matter you can't go past this beautiful botanical garden without noticing it (if driving towards Anzac centenary bridge, Weir park, etc.) A well manicured, well maintained botanical garden with variety of Flowers, shrubs, plants, trees etc makes for an enjoyable walkabout. There's also a children's playground and barbeque area with toilet facilities etc towards the rear side of this botanical garden. Overall, it's a Good place to spend some time in Horsham.

The colors really pop....there is a perimeter fence like round the silo that you are required to keep out. You can find toilets some few meters in memorial park

What a brilliant stop on the Silo Art Trail! The new Rupanyup Silo Art by Aussie street artist Smug is absolutely stunning — bold, detailed and full of local heart. The mix of golden paddocks, farming life and those cheeky little blue wrens gives it a real Aussie charm. It perfectly captures the spirit of the Wimmera — proud, hardworking and connected to the land. Pull over for a photo, stretch the legs and soak it in — it’s country creativity at its finest. A top spot for art lovers, bird watchers or anyone who just loves a good a bit of colour in the bush.

Great low cost caravan camping area with power at $10 night in nice setting. Museum and silo art close by. Food truck a bonus. Great community feel.

There is no story board for this new Silo art yet. The Blue Wren and the influence of farming is fitting for the area🌾🐏

Truly one of a kind artwork, the elders and the two children, the generations of people who own the land. A landmark to celebrate the land, the stars, the beauty and the beliefs. The artwork is respectful about the past, hopeful about the future and will transcend the generations to come. The color selection is awesome. What's even more wonderful, is the day expressions on the faces.

Great place to come on a drive and sit down and relax and have a bit to eat or just look at the great artwork painted onto the silos.

By far, this was the highlight of our holiday. This artwork is not found on the street but had to drive an hour from Stawell where we were staying. It was worth the drive even the speeding fine on the way there. The picture will tell how fascinating this piece of artwork and how it was done on such huge canvas. Located on a secluded area and tours available for several Silo artworks on different places. Well recommended to people to see and be proud of this.

One of the top silo on the art trail, so good for an artist to capture indigenous australians as this represents our country. The detail is amazing as you can get a real feel of what they were trying to accomplish. Worth the trip

Majestic and so high definition. It's just mind boggling that the artist was able to create so much detail on such a difficult and large canvas. The images of Aboriginal people are surreal. You can see the reflection of sky in their eyes. My favourite on the silo art trail. You cannot miss this one.

Sometimes simplicity is good - while the detail of this artwork was amazing the colours used that resembled the country around here made it even more impressive.

As I said on the other silos idk how I'd rate art but this one maybe my second favourite since it wraps around a fair bit and they painted the silos behind as well giving it a nice consistent look from multiple angles

These GrainCorp silos were built in 1939 and are now decommissioned. Artist Guido van Helten’s, finished his artwork in 2016, depicting four female and male farmers of the Wimmera Mallee region. The Brim Grain Silo's were the first to be painted, and its success inspired the establishment of the Silo Art Trail.

A good parking area on the other side of the road with a few shaded tables. The pub is closed. What a shame. Don't park near the silo, you might not get the full view.

The father of all silo arts in Australia! This mighty silo art started the chain reaction of silo arts across Australia. It was painted by the Brisbane Street artist Guido van Helten in 2015. This is now one of the 6 silo arts in the 200km silo arts trail from Melbourne. I am so proud of our great artists, bringing out the souls of the very village they represent - the many many remote little towns and communities that adds so much depth, history and meaning to what the huge Australia continent is all about! Little little places where big crops grow, providing food to Australia and beyond! I just love getting out there, giving them whatever support aiming for a self sustaining Australia!

Wonderful dog friendly winery with an incredible menu of bespoke wine. Taste after taste, every bottle better than the last. Our hosts Annie and Lily were generous with their time, with helping us navigate the area as tourists, and fed us a delicious platter of antipasto. Top notch winery experience: we can’t wait to come back.

We have loved Taltarni wines for many years now which we get here in WA, and were excited to be stopping in on our road trip through Victoria. It was one of the stops we had been looking forward to for a long time. The CD was absolutely amazing and all that we hoped it would be, we had very high hopes. Unfortunately Anne who looked after us left us highly disappointed, she clearly didn’t know much about the wines, we asked a few simple questions but her responses were rude, and she acted like we were interrupting her day. Having waited so long to go there, we left with only 2 bottles as we just wanted to get out of there. We still love the wines, at least they didn’t leave a bitter taste in our mouths.

Dropped in there with friends for a cheese and meat platter and wine . Was very disappointed with the lack of knowledge from the woman serving- Anne - she was outright rude and was obviously lacking in her knowledge. She spoke very rudely to another staff member who looked embarrassed. The cheese platter wasn’t as good as the one we had last year. There was an amazingly knowledgeable woman last year who was friendly and helpful. We bought a lot of wine last year . But she was gone and had been replaced by this Anne who was just plain rude and had no idea about the wine. We left unhappy. We were going to book a large group for November but have decided to go elsewhere instead.

Annie ensured we had the most amazing experience tasting the wines available at Taltarnie. She also provided platters that were a delight, patient, knowledgeable a credit to the winery.

Came in for Easter weekend. The lady behind the bar was useless. Her customer skill were clearly lacking. And it was obvious she knew nothing about the wine she was pouring. Also the coffee was undrinkable. Taltarni use to be our favourite place to visit….we won’t be back

We had a very enjoyable tasting experience and lunch at Blue Pyrenees. We tasted all the wines available and found plenty that we liked. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Shiraz Marsanne. The staff were all very friendly and provided excellent service, particularly the lady who guided us through the tasting and organised our platter lunch. The platter was a good size with an interesting mix of very tasty food.

Absolutely fantastic experience with beautiful wines and incredible platter, Linda was lovely to talk with and described the wines great. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I had the best time at Blue Cafe just last Monday. Without a doubt Linda makes the most flavoursome hot and cold platter we have ever eaten and — we have eaten a great many on our travels. We love the variety, texture and diverse tastes on the platter washed down with a bottle of sparkling rose — a beautiful lunch outside in the sun with our dog Maisie.In fact this is our fifth platter here and it is by far our favourite winery destination. Linda is a star who remembers us and always makes us feel very welcome Great job Blue Pyrenees Ian and Jill

We visit at least once a year for the wonderful platters and wine. They cater to all our dietaries (gluten free, pescatarian) with ease and their kids menu is small but really well done.

Amazing food. Fabulous wines. Friendly staff. Edward & Linda are friendly and fun! Don’t leave without ordering the delicious House Platter (…it gets better every time… always something different to tantalise the tastebuds!) that pairs perfectly with any of the wines available. One of the best cellar doors in the state!

Amazing experience!!! Séan met us as we strode up to the cellar door and gave us an impromptu tour of the corking process for bubbles "methode tradionelle"...... absolutely intriguing! The freezing process following time on lees, the cork size pre insertion...... to see it in action was incredible!! Then upstairs for an amazing platter & wine tasting with Linda! That platter was next level......catering for our dietary requirements and also substantial!!! Linda's wine knowledge was exceptional! We will definitely be back.....and.......Linda, we hope you celebrated your birthday in style following dry July! 🙌🥂🎉

So there's two, and the entrance is a tad confusing. Don't take the one right next to the train track, or the one next to the house next to the tracks. Take the one after opposite the park. I had a good sit and enjoyed my pie from the pub.

Well worth a visit. Great history and lovely staff. Check to see if the cafe is opened in advance. We got caught out as we were going to have lunch there and it was closed !

The museum is small in size and can be covered in around 60 mins. The talk from the tour guide was very informative and engaging. The museum has the full sized display of the Catalina, which is really worth seeing. Knowing the history behind the Catalina base gives a good perspective on the significance of Lake Boga.

Great museum with lots of artefacts (both aircraft parts and RAAF/WAAF memorabilia) and a restored Catalina. Also has the communications bunker set up as it would have been. Highlights the role of Lake Boga in the war effort. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Visit could take 60-90 minutes easily.

To tell the truth we didn't even know what an air boat was before we vosoted Lake Boga but we are glad we did. We were very presently surprised when we visited the museum. The lake itself is lovely and the outside of the museum is unassuming but once you enter you are transported to a world of interesting WW2 memorabilia, a communications bunker and an amazing real Catalina air boat in the massive shed that houses the museum. The museum staff are animated and interesting. They can really answer any question you might have and do so in an interesting way. Their info and enthusiasm towards the history of the area and Austalia's contribution to the war are contagious.

Must visit if you are in the area. I never knew the use of Lake Boga, unless I visited this museum. It also has a real bunker and a real full size airplane. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable.

This was an amazing experience! Found information about my Dad and his war records. Shed a few tears. The Catalina Flying Boat information was outstanding! Never knew about this hidden piece of Australia's war history. The staff were so knowledgeable! Thank you ☺️

Wow! We came to see the pioneer village and decided to see the water/laser show that night and it was 100% worth it. Yes, when you hear the price it seems a bit expensive for a country town but it was worth every cent. The display, attractions and staff were great and the laser show in the evening far exceeded our expectations. If you're passing by, consider staying the night and see the show, you won't be disappointed :-)

We spent a few hours during the day and went back for the Mallee" light show in the evening. What a great way to spend the day. The staff are beautiful, friendly and informative. Once inside the horse drawn carriage and the car are free too. Reasonably priced too.

We had a great time exploring the settlement. Lots of things to see. Hopped on the wagon ride, Rocky (the horse) did a fabulous job of pulling Gus around in the wagon. The driver was lovely as were all the other staff onsite. Had a great ride in an old car. A lady in the gift shop showed us how all the old music played. Had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this.

This is an amazing place to visit in Swan Hill. The old buildings and farming machinery are just fantastic. From tractors to harvesters there is so much history. Make sure you visit the General Store and check out the great selection of sweets and lollies! Also make sure you have a ride in the 100 year old Dodge and the horse drawn carriage.

Thank you to the staff who made my two children's experience wonderful. Mr 8 wanted to stay at the caravan park with his new holiday friends, but once we got him to the Settlement he had a great time! Thanks to Jack for helping my children make a skipping rope, to Ian for the vintage car ride and the lovely gentleman (sorry we didn't catch your name) for letting my kids 'steer' the horse + cart as well as taking our photos. We loved the 2 day re-entry which meant we could come back the following day to explore things we missed the first time around and to have any horse cart ride. The River Lights at night was brilliant. We purchased the laser light show & PS Pyap ride, all were a big hit, as was the free glow in the dark face paint. The snow machine, lights and music down the main street of the settlement created a little bit of magic for our little ones too. My only suggestion would be making the booking process easier. I first purchased River Lights tickets & Pyap ride not realising this didn't include the Pioneer Settlement day tickets. I then paid more to get tickets for the night laser show as I don't believe this was part of the River Lights experience!? I probably ended up paying twice...but I'm really not sure. It was just a bit confusing... Perhaps two different companies were running slightly different events!?

Such a fascinating place. Began in the 60s and has been going since. So fortunate to have so many of the historical pieces that built the area and nation more broadly being looked after so well with great information boards (even a couple of original ones from the early days of the exhibits!). Makes you proud of our country and the people who worked so hard to put it together. The tractors and farm machinery were a highlight for me, I could have spent hours more reading. It was good enough for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh to visit, so absolutely good enough for any of us too. Best thing in Swan Hill.

Fantastic experience in Swan Hill. A must visit for any history lovers, with some great examples of early machinery and buildings. Had something for everybody and a nice cafe on site. The Pyap cruise was a must, friendly staff and great service. The heartbeat of the Murray light show was fascinating. Overall a great 1 day stop in Swan Hill. Don’t miss the big Murray Cod in the centre of town while visiting.

It’s taken me a couple of days to process my thoughts on my visit on Wednesday 27/8/25 for lunch with three others. We arrived just before lunch signed in walked around and looked at the menu to decide our lunch order. Two of us went to the counter. On arrival we were waiting in line while the young gentleman was serving a customer. That’s an entirely another story. We ordered our meals of which we had a chicken parmigiana and a chicken burger with salad and chips, roast lamb, and the soup. The chicken parmigiana you were described as a reheat, reheat, reheat, burnt crispy and virtually uneatable with chips that stuck together. The chicken burger was dry, and the chips again were stuck together hadn’t been shaken the overall presentation of the four meals I would write as a -10. It was an absolute disgrace, and I can say that I would never recommend going there for a meal under these conditions to this stage.. I went to a local pub last night. We had four meals and to say the chicken parmigiana was beautifully presented everything on all four plates was outstanding. The price of drinks was nearly half the price of your of your organization. I am writing this so you can take note look at your staff on how they talk to people and how you present the food because it is a disgrace for an organization that prides itself on customers and providing good service thank you.

We were a group of 8 ...we ordered before 7pm and eventually got our meals at 9pmand later...like really? By that time we were past eating ,the food was very average, the chips were good though and saved the hunger. No apologies were offered for a long wait, we were not the only table having this experience This is the last time l will pay in cash and not get a receipt of proof of purchase to enable a refund, maybe they could have offered us all a free drink or at the very least just come to us and say we are short staffed tonight Very poor form Barham Club

We booked a birthday for 22 people. The staff we had serving our table was extremely rude. She snapped at multiple members of our party. And literally threw plates of food that bounced across the table to our stunned selves. We found out her name was Taylor. As we decided that she personally deserved a terrible review. The excuse for the poor behaviour was that 'they were busy tonight'. After complaining in person we then were served by a much nicer staff member (didn't get her name). Other than that the food was decent as was the rest of the venue. That's why 2 stars rathe than zero.. Just no excuse for being terribly rude when it's your job and you are getting paid to deliver customer service. We will not be back.

Staff are very welcoming, and Neil's enthusiasm and knowledge is great, as well as entertaining. Apart from the mind boggling array of beer related stuff, there are lots of other gems from years gone by. Make sure you also explore the displays outside, including the shipping containers out behind the car park. Number 1 rated attraction in Echuca for a reason.... well worth a visit.

A really worthwhile place to visit. The owner will greet you at the door and gives a great presentation. He is one character and a half and has the best Aussie personality and a great knowledge of the recent Australian past. You will learn things from him you never knew. Was glad we made the effort to visit.

What a delight! We popped into the Great Aussie Beer Museum while in Echuca and were absolutely charmed. The place is so much more than beer though as you’ll find walls of vintage beer cans, brewery relics, retro signs, old petrol pumps, restored automobiles, farm machinery, soda dispensers, and more.  A huge shout out to Neil an absolute legend, the owner whose passion and knowledge of Australian history, culture, and memorabilia really bring the collection to life. He took time to explain many of the items, cracked a few jokes, and made the experience personal and memorable.  The atmosphere is delightfully nostalgic and rustic it’s like stepping back in time. There’s a sense that every object has a story. The restored cars and machinery especially add a touch of old-school charm.  If you’re in Echuca, do not skip this museum. It’s a passion project that’s well worth your time and admission.

Neil was so friendly, greeted us in the car park and explained the best way to view everything. What a place. Everyone should visit at least once. Need a minimum of 1 hour. Would be great to hold a function there.

Alan and Bryan were great tour guides and gave us a lot of information. They were super knowledgeable and friendly. We saw so many great Australian pieces and were blown away by how big the collection actually is. The stories behind some of the items were also very interesting. We visited on the 11/10/2025 and will definitely be back

As lovers of cars and all things old and nostalgic, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. It was a little muggy inside (hot day outside) but it was only a minor inconvenience. Great collection of Holdens and Holden memorabilia. Dog friendly too.

Loved our visit to the National Holden Motor Museum. As a mechanic it was great to see all the different models of Holdens from the past decades. There are also some prototype models as well as models used in the product development process. Super interesting place to visit even if you're not a car fanatic. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area or just passing through. There's also a great giftshop which has something for any car nut. Not just Holden fans.

If you’re a car fan or even interested in history the Holden Museum is a must when you’re in Echuca! There’s so much to see and you can get really close to some great and rare examples of Australian motor engineering. Ticket prices are very reasonable and you won’t be disappointed!

A great museum with a range of classic and modern Holden’s that are swapped out every couple of months. With an affordable $10 entry to the museum itself, it grants access for either a 10 minute walk-in-walk-out or more than hour of in-depth reading into the history and information of Holden. The staff are super friendly and approachable and appreciate a good conversation. Overall the National Holden Motor Museum is a must visit for car enthusiasts keen on looking into the discontinued Holden name or rather, just to kill a bit of time while visiting Echuca.

Really great place to visit even if you're not a Holden fanatic (like me). The 50 cars on display are in prime condition and laid out very well. Lots of memorabilia on display as well. The 2 guys that were on duty were friendly and didn't mind a chat. A very informative visit. 👍

Great place for adults to visit to remember their youth & appreciate the vast range of cars that were produced under the Holden banner. The entrance fee was reasonable & the owners were very good about allowing visitors to wander around at their own pace, to get close to the cars & willing to provide information when asked. Well worth a visit, even if you're not particularly interested in cars 'per se'. The evolution of design, the beauty of the vehicles & the historical aspects of the display are inestimable.

Wasn't bad, I'm not a big Holden fan, some others would love it more. That said it was interesting to see the history of Holden from before my time all in one spot. Entry price was fair and plenty of parking available.

Port of Echuca feels like being transported back in time. The restored wharf, the smell of the river gums, and the creak of timber all give it a charming old-town vibe that’s hard to find elsewhere. The highlight is watching and riding the historic paddle steamers still operating on the Murray, hearing the chug of their engines and the whistle echoing off the water is pure nostalgia. Around the wharf you’ll also spot an old steam engine on display and plenty of rustic, heritage-style buildings that complete the old-school river-port atmosphere. Great place for a stroll, photography, or a ride on one of the paddleboats. A must-see if you’re in Echuca!

A great historical area focussed on the Murray River riverboats and related industries. Some of these industries are still practised here for tourists. Some good eating places and enough to fill in your day and go on a paddle boat cruise.

Really pretty little place with lots to see. We did the port after dark tour too which was really interesting. I really enjoyed our Echuca stay.

Wonderful place to visit to learn about the history of Echuca-Moama area. Also gives a good idea about how steam engines revolutionized the way people worked and their day to day activities.

Great short trip down the river and back. Very pet friendly. Great people operating boat. Does have a little coffee/alcohol bar.

Located only about 250 meters (2 minutes walk) from the Waring gardens, this is a good place to spend some time for local info and the past history of Deniliquin etc. On weekends it's open for limited hours only.

Absolutely worth the visit. Loved the Peppin heritage center at the back of the visitor info center. So informative of life for the settlers of the Riverina & the history of merinos to the area. This place has the perfect location on the Edwards River,just a short stroll.Indoor and outdoor seating,and the local kookaburras will fly in for a look also.Only had coffee with a group of friends,coffee was good.Everything nearby is a short stroll.

Great place to get a heap of info about Deniliquin and surrounding regions. Lots of hostorical items, pictures, stories and it has preserved the old classroom of this once a school of olde. Great friendly staff that also stock lots of local foods, condiments and works. It also holds great events such as farmers markets, craft markets & art exhibitions. A must go for all visitors and locals that have not yet been.

Thanks, Cactus Country for helping me celebrate my birthday! I booked for 15 people and they gave us the entire event room for the entire day. It was perfect to be able to leave our things while we went for a walk. I ordered platters for 15 people and they provided more than enough. It was delicious and served promptly! Can't recommend attending in the Spring enough!!

What a wonderful way to spend the most part of a day. This place caters for all from kids to ground ups ( especially older never grow up kinds ) we had a lovely day exploring the amazing cactus variants wow what a variety and you can take your dog too.Friendly staff great food and frozen margaritas yummy highly recommend

While camping in Bearii, we discovered this amazing spot to visit. We had a great time exploring the area and seeing so many different varieties of cacti all in one place. Plus, it’s pet-friendly! Before you leave, make sure to try the cactus ice cream and cake at the charming little café—they also offer a variety of food and drinks.

Great experience! Bernie is a gem - such a delight and very informative Cacti are also currently in full flowering season and the gardens are so pretty Definitely worth a visit but gets really warm in the afternoon so sunscreen is a must

We had a lovely day walking around, looking at the most weird and wonderful variety of cactus ever! The drinks and food were fantastic. Highly recommend for a day out.

This was a massive area with so many beautiful cacti and succulents. Lots of flowers, paths and photo areas to take pictures. Ticket was 25$ pp, but I’d say it’s worth it.

Well worth a stop. Yes it is touristy, but it's also grey nomads like us that come for a pic of the Big Thing and then spend a bit of money that goes back into the local economy. After reading the reviews, we steered clear of the waffles and pancakes and ordered scones instead. Very nice, along with strawberry jam and fresh whipped cream. I would recommend a stop here.

We got here at 11am luck as we missed the massivce crowd . And got our food before a huge influx of people. Free wifi is good but we sat next too the kids play area, it's a good idea , it's $750 pp under 3 is free but they have a seperate area beside the play ground that all costs money . I wanted to order a burger but was 30 min early to order one but people I saw ordered them that was annoying . But I was lucky I ordered the chicken msredrd mustard Spanish rostie it was really nice I'm lucky I ordered that. The okay prices I think are too expensive potentially $5 or over a total for the table kids play for free. All the food and coffee was pretty good . The kids pancake with other was the same price as one on the full menu that U got 2 pancakes good scoop of strawberry ice-cream and strawberries in the pancake so we got that instead , that wasn't a kids meal. The only in the kids area the wife could of been better and lower kids play prices should be lower everything else was good if eat again if I'm in the area. Staff where all friendly and polite and happy and enjoying their job .

The staff member in this photo seriously needs proper customer service training and, more importantly, needs to understand that being racist towards visitors is completely unacceptable. We had one of the worst experiences during our visit. From the moment we arrived, there was a noticeable attitude problem. One of our friends had their order messed up, which, to be fair, can happen. Mistakes are part of the job and we would have understood that. However, instead of handling it with a simple apology or any professionalism, the staff responded with rudeness, dismissiveness and an awful attitude. What shocked us most was not the mistake itself, but the way they reacted. They made us feel like we were the problem for simply pointing it out. It was deeply disappointing and honestly quite upsetting. If you are planning to visit, be prepared for one of the worst customer service experiences you might have in Australia. The place clearly does not care about how it treats people, and the behaviour of the staff reflects that. Keep your expectations low so you are not caught off guard like we were.

If you're visiting Bearii, this is a wonderful place to explore, especially for children. They offer a delightful strawberry vine, a variety of playful activities, and beautiful lilies that can bring joy to visitors of all ages.

The Big Strawberry 🍓 – Nice spot, but service needs work This was my second visit to The Big Strawberry & sadly, it won’t be a third. I brought my family here thinking it would be a great spot for locals and tourists alike, but the service left a lot to be desired. We wanted to try some strawberry liquor at the tasting area, but it was unattended when we arrived. After waiting a few minutes, two staff members appeared, one said she’d send someone over but nothing happened. Another lady noticed us waiting but didn’t offer any help, just glanced and went about her tasks. After asking three times, one lady finally served us but seemed annoyed and mentioned the tasting was limited to three people, which felt a bit rude. In the end, we only shared 1 sample and didn’t end up buying a bottle. It felt disappointing, especially as visitors and I can’t help but wonder if that influenced the attitude we received. The venue is beautiful with nice indoor and outdoor spaces, so it’s unfortunate the customer service didn’t live up to that standard. To improve, better staff training on attentiveness and friendliness , especially during busy times is essential. Every guest, whether local or tourist, should feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Treating people differently based on where they’re from can come across as unfair or even racist, which is truly disappointing. I hope the team can improve because the potential here is huge! 🍓✨

Really enjoyed our Devonshire tea. Was a bit confused about the pricing as it advertised $12- for 2 scones + coffee or tea but I only had 1 scone & still cost $23- 🤔 but scones were great 👍. Purchased some relish & jam and when we got it home realised it was 4 months after best before date 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hopefully they’re ok after spending $24- buyer beware I didn’t think to check that

Great place for adult swimmers and kids alike. Well supervised. Lots to do or just relax in the shade, both artificial and natural through an abundance of trees, in 40degree heat. They even have high volume air conditioners pool side for extra hot days.

What an amazing day trip to have ☺️ Pools a plenty, lots of play areas for little ones. Affordable canteen and entry fees. You can take a picnic if you want or use the BBQ facilities. Staff were all so lovely and happy to chat to this "tourist" who had a million questions. Wheelchair accessible pools too.

Large camp ground including RV, caravan, trailer campers. Has an aquatic center across the road that also has water slides. Lake Talbot offers boating, kayaking, sup, and water skiing.

The Lake Talbot complex is an absolute gem. The pools and seating/grassed areas are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff are polite and well attentive to the safety of the swimmers. Entry and water slide pricing is very reasonable. No, actually, it's cheap! Finding somewhere to park can be tricky on the busy days. Update: Revisited Dec 2024. Still a great place for a day out with the family!!

Great set up. Lots of shade, variety of seating and coin operated BBQ facilities. Slides are 50 cents a go and you buy slide ride tickets in lots of five. Thoroughly recommend a visit if you have kids, although it is great for the big ones as well as there were adults swimming laps in the 50m pool while we were there to.

What an absolute gem! My family and I came for a day out and it's safe to say everyone gave it a glowing review. We were fortunate there was barely anyone there, the lifeguard told me it gets pretty packed over school holidays + Saturdays/Sundays in January. The toddler pool and splash pad are great. There is a gradually deepening wading pool that goes to 1.2m I think, along with huge, deep lap pool. The three slides are AMAZING. The purple and orange one was lots of fun, full of twists and turns. There are two speed racers which only opened for a bit of the day as the crowd was too small, but lots of fun too. There are lovely toilets with showers and a changing area. BBQs and a kiosk selling hot chips, chicken nuggets, lollies, ice creams etc. There is ample shaded seating with picnic tables. Entry is $4 per person, kids under 4 (?) free. The slides are additional, we paid $10 for 20 slides - you can share them, they can be used on multiple visits. The hot chip cup is $3. This is SO reasonably priced and so much fun. We'll definitely be back over Summer!!

A great place to cool off with lots of pools, slides, activity area and a Cafe. Entry doesn't break the bank and the staff are helpful and friendly. There is lots of parking and don't forget there are barbecues here too.

Very well set out gardens.with lots of picnic spots and BBQ, plus a small take away shop at the front. We worth the walk around with all the different areas set out like a native area, desert area, rain forest etc. Set out at least a 1/2 day to see it all. Jenny Divers

Well maintained gardens that's free entry and parking. There's different areas, eg kids playground, rainforest, zoo, cafe etc. There's a model railway but check times as it wasn't operating when i went during the weekday.

A gorgeous free zoo! You can pet the animals and hold the birds and feed the cows. Such a sweet and wonderful day out!

In OK condition. It was disappointing that most plants were not labelled with their names and some gardens were full of weeds. However, there are many wonderful plants there, a zoo,, playgrounds and picnic facilities and a wonderful mini train to ride on on 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. A great place for families.

Beautiful gardens to sit and enjoy the sun . We didn't see any animals . I think it's too cold for them. At 8 degrees at 1130 am. My whinge for these gardens are. The toilet lights didn't work. If I had a child go in there, it would scare them it was pitch black ⚫️ in the toilets. Luckily, I had my phone for lighting. Big slip up wagga council. It's a safety issue. Great area for kids to play. A nice walk to stretch ypur legs.

A wonderful display of beautiful glass art pieces. The sleek bright building is the perfect setting. I loved the different techniques used and the variety in styles. Of the 800 art pieces in the collection, about 200 are displayed at a time. The exhibition changes every 3 months or so. I will definitely come back in Feb or March to visit again.

So glad we dropped in and checked out the exhibition on the two floors of of this iconic small gallery housing the National Glass Collection. Some amazing inspiring pieces on display.

This art gallery was absolutely free! When we visited at the ground floor there was an exhibition by Tom Moore and it was fascinating. At the second floor there was some of the museum's collection. Well worth a visit! The lady on duty was very nice and helpful too. :)

Great venue for an excursion with the family. Lots of parking on the street if the main carpark is full. It was very busy here so unfortunately we couldn’t try the cafe as it was fully booked and there were no tables. Take a gold coin with you as there’s a motor museum next door that requires a gold coin for entry.

I’m so sad I didn’t discover this beautiful place earlier! The dining atmosphere is amazing, the staff are super sweet, and the food is absolutely delicious. The best part is that you can actually watch the chocolate and licorice being made, and then buy the beautifully packaged products right in the shop. Simply perfect! I love this place so much—every souvenir was so tempting to take home. Both the products and meals are very reasonably priced. Such a fantastic tourist spot! 👍

A fun experience for the kids (and us adults too) to watch the licorice being made. A nice looking on site cafe as well as a shop with lots of licorice and chocolate choices. A walk around the gorgeous outdoor gardens with plenty of seating and photo opportunities.

We tried the strawberry and chocolate milkshakes, and both were rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful. The gift shop downstairs is fantastic, offering a wide variety of chocolates and licorice to take home — perfect for souvenirs or gifts. I also loved that you can watch the factory in action through the viewing windows, which makes the visit even more interesting. Don’t miss the second-floor shop either — it’s full of kitchenware and Crocs shoes, a fun little bonus find! Overall, a great stop for families, chocolate lovers, and anyone passing through Junee.

I found the property and building very beautiful but I waited 45mins for an underwhelming hot chocolate.. being a place where chocolate was made, I expected a better hot chocolate. The place was busy so that could have been the reason….. I am in Wagga for a few weeks, so I look forward to revisiting before I leave to try the wood fired pizza and maybe give the hot chocolate another go. Hopefully it’ll come in the nice tall hot chocolate glass next time.

If you're an ELVIS or vintage cars fan stop in! Popped it to get a bumper sticker and was met with an amazing collection of Elvis memorabilia, apparently the biggest in the southern hemisphere! Lots of real items from Elvis, even left with a keep sake collectable a piece of the kings hair! Past the Elvis room is a garage full of all types of vintage cars!

Great place for info. Loved Elvis museum & Car museum. Short doco on Henry Parkes was very good.

Visited the Henry Parkes Centre to see the car collection. Access via the Tourism Information Centre. Cars restored and well displayed with interesting information boards. Also motorcycles and automotive memorabilia on display. Reasonable prices.

Parkes Museum, what a great place with such a variety of exhibits, just a treasure trove. Spent at least 3 hrs here, just Soo much to see.

This place is for you if your a Big Fan of The legend King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley.

Worth the visit, easy parking, toilets available. We enjoyed the free video about Henry Parkes. We paid to to do the Elvis and car museum. We didn't pay or do the historical village.

Great spot to learn about fossil discovery in area, amazing staff who were excellent at explaining museum.

Age of Fishes Museum at Canowindra is well worth the stop. A terrific glimpse into the past, when fishes dominated the once inland seas. The fossil collection is a real eye opener and the result of many years of dedication putting it together. Kids with any kind of interest in science will love it. Friendly staff make it all the better experience.

If you have any interest in palaeontology or fish, then this is a must visit. If you have kids interested in dinosaurs, then I can highly recommend it as there's many interactive activities for kids. Even if you just have a casual interest in natural history it's worth a look.

Great museum covering prehistoric Age of Fishes. Best of only two similar museum in the world. We came to Canowindra only because of the museum. Exposition includes only small part of fossils discovered near by. Display is very interesting and informative. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the visit.

Loved this museum could get really close to the exhibits. Staff were amazing, super friendly. Could bring my dog in with me (dog is small Jack Russell). Spent an hour and a half. Unexpected and interesting attraction in a small town.

What an amazing museum! Seeing such complete, ancient, rare, large, fossil fish was amazing . You are allowed to touch them giving a unique, hands on experience. The staff ween so helpful and knowledgeable to help my family understand everything. The displays had easy to understand descriptive texts to help as well. With tv monitors showing what these fish and life was like almost 400,000 years ago way before the dinosaurs. There were 3 large sections plus an outdoor area full of info including timelines going back to the beginning of the earth and so the beginning of life. This helped us all place how these armoured fish evolved along with dinosaurs, mammals etc etc all the way to humans. This is a truly world class site!

In your travels North and South up and down the Newell Hwy if your never stopped and taken the time to divert off the hwy to visit the Parks Observatory you are doing yourself a disservice. If your got kids it is especially worth while. Only a hand full of Km north of Parks and about 6km down the side road will get you there. Free entry with most of activities designed and aimed at the kids around 9-14yrs. Lots of photos and interesting information panels for the adults and hands on activities for the kids. The gift shop is A1 with good prices for a wide variety of interesting items to buy. The actual 'dish' is huge and most impressive and you will be amazed. It is still in operational use presently. There is a guided tour available but we didn't do that. This side divert will easily chew up a couple of hours and both you and the kids will appreciate getting out of the car far a very interesting tourist attraction. Got a Cafe there as well. Free and ample close by parking including long vehicles and free entry. Make sure you visit the outside two opposing dishes 70mts apart where if you face into one dish and whisper your partner can hear what you say facing into the other dish. All in all a great little place to visit that will consume no more than two hours of your time and break up your drive. Highly recommend.

Great 3D movie to inform the public about our planet & solar system. Great displays and of course a view of the dish. Plenty of gifts & merchandise with space in mind. A cafe available. Movie was a cost, but everything else was free to view.

Great place to look around to explore and learn some history. If you haven't seen the movie The Dish, I suggest you watch it and learn more about what it does. It's free to go in and check everything out. The whisper dishes out the front are great. You start whispering in them, and the other person over at the other didh can hear you as though you were standing beside them. Awesome place to visit

This is my 3rd time here and it just blows my mind. Lots to see, but unfortunately the cafe/ food is now closed, very disappointed as i would have liked a coffee while enjoy the structure rotate today. Must must must do everybody!!

Great stopover on the way to Dubbo! We saw the 3S experience which was only $16pp and we didnt even know Australia had a Observatory like this! Such a great experience

Nice little stop on the way through NSW. Interesting information center and GOOD doughnuts! Worth the stop if you are passing through or if you are in to space exploration and the moon landings!

The museum is cool, they have the universes baby picture. My brother is jealous and wants to also visit.

An interesting spot to stop and see the open cut gold mine. A free site with a couple of walks. We did the one to the first lookout which was only a very short distance maybe 5 minute walk. There was a ramp that would be suitable for wheelchairs/strollers. You would need to go back the same way as there are stairs continuing on around the circuit. Toilets available also.

It’s really beautiful and a fantastic walk! The amount of history and variety of stunning views over the different sized mines was happily unexpected. There are two trail paths (a shorter 30 minute walk that weaves through the mines, and a longer 45-minute forest walk that circumnavigates the mine property). The boardwalk area near the old ravines is particularly wonderful! I would say the only downside is that the trail markers are complete nonsense and rarely actually help in confirming which path you are on, or want to follow. But the paths are short and it’s a fun walk anyway. If you’re passing through or staying near Peak Hill, this is highly recommended!

This attraction is free. There's enough parking as it wasn't very busy and the parking available is suitable for caravans (a few vans at least). There's a couple of walks to do and several lookout points. Some of the track includes an include. It's a gravel surface track and there are lots of ants around so be careful where you stop for photos. We ended up with dozens of large ants walking all over our shoes as we didn't look down when taking our first photo. I think it's worth having a look if you're interested in this type of thing or you happen to be passing by and it's convenient to stop. I wouldn't go out of my way again to visit it though.

Great part of history and a great walk around the mine. Its free so go visit and just enjoy the walk and amazing colours reflecting from the soil and rocks
