Tucked in from the road with toilets and parking. Walked down from deep creek road through a tree lined path lovely bush walk along the creek with well maintained paths plenty of bird life at the cottage end there is a large grassed area. Plenty of shade on the walk.

Beautiful gem hidden within Mitcham. You can't believe you're in the suburbs and within minutes from the busy Eastlink freeway and Eastland/Costco area of Ringwood. My favourite place to go for a walk; it's very safe and you still get 4G on your phone!! There are plenty of trails and one leads directly to nearby Schwerkolt Cottage and Museum. The carpark nearest the toilets and info centre is at Ashburton Drive and you can refill your water bottle there as well. The bike track goes all the way to Mullum Mullum Creek I can spend two hours here just leisurely walking and being in nature, listening to the birds and watching the ducks. There's a pond and parts of the creek along the walk, with naturally fallen trees creating bridges. Just absolutely my go-to place for when the weather is perfect to go for walks or even a jog/run! Dogs must be on a leash.

Fantastic little winery. We decided to make this our first visit on Thursday. We luckily arrived and just caught Vince & Lucy as they were about to leave. Amazing wines and the overall experience from explaining their selections, the couples interesting back story and warm family vibes made this one of our memorable spots. You won’t be disappointed.

Family owned and run vineyard by Vince and his wife! The two of them has created an amazing place and produced a fantastic wines! Very relax and friendly atmosphere for wine tasting! Big varieties to try including white, sparkling, rose, red, dessert, and spirit! Vince has a skilled of stories telling that make wine tasting into a fun journey. I absolutely love the Italian grapes wine Barbera! If you worries about the place being close just call ahead as the place is run by just 2 people.

This venue is a hidden gem! We had our wedding on the weekend and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the venue, accommodation, food and Sarah’s wedding coordination! She went above and beyond for us, making our dreams come true. It started raining 10 minutes before our outdoor ceremony and the team worked quickly to move everything into the barrel room which is a stunning back up options. There are so many photo opportunities at the venue, our photos are amazing. The food blew us away and all our guest said it’s the best wedding food they had ever. Even through the rain, this venue was amazing!

We got married in early May at Fergusson Winery, which was the dream setting for our wedding. From the beautiful vineyard backdrop to the warm hospitality it has everything. Our ceremony was in the barrel room, which was the perfect setting for a chill autumn day with the fairy lights across the top, and the restaurant space was perfect to hold our 100 guests and have a killer dance floor space. My husband got ready in the bridal suite, whilst my bridesmaid and I had the guesthouse to get ready in. These were the perfect spaces to start our wedding day off right and bring the chill vibes we needed. Sarah, the venue coordinator was an absolute star, she went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a smashing success. She made the planning process smooth and stress-free and was ahead of joy to work with. Our guests have not stopped talking about the food and wine from our wedding, and we will absolutely be coming back as often as we can.

We were here for the lunch. It seems most of the 5 star reviews were for its venue abd wedding service. I can agree that it’s a really beautiful venue. But the food can be improved. It was ordinary at most. Ordered the lamb scallops and brussel sprouts. The loin was slow cooked but it was not bone tender and the cumin ( or coriander?) was overwhelming. So not good. The scallops were ok. Ordinary. While the Pinot Grigio was velvetly and balanced, the reds all leaned Pinot noir and both the cab sav abd Shiraz lacked punch.

We had our wedding at Fergusson’s and would highly recommend it to others. The staff were incredible, especially Sarah who was always very responsive via email and helped make sure we were well looked after on the day. Our bridal party and guests also commented on how great the staff were. The food and drinks were excellent. And there are so many beautiful photo spots - the bridal suite (lots of natural light), chapel, garden (with wisteria in bloom), vintage tram, vineyards and sandstone gazebo, barrel room - and the lake for sunset photos. Our photographer and videographer team were impressed. 😍

This place needs a lot more stars than just 5! WOW! What an amazing experience just last weekend. I hosted my 40th in the Barrel Room and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the quick email responses to the execution, Sara and her team were on point. The food was excellent, both taste and presentation. The drinks...... some of the best cocktails we have had. The space was amazing and the view were breathtaking. The room had amazing vibes with the stacked barrels and fairy lights, and it sounded great with a duo pushing out some chilled atmosphere tracks. Thank you again Sara. You made our experience perfect and left my guests feeling amazed with the high quality event output.

What a great experience! We stopped by for a tasting, and the lovely lady who served us was so knowledgeable and friendly, walking us through everything. The wine is absolutely delicious, so moreish, and very reasonably priced for the quality. We loved that you can also buy by the glass, grab a platter, and sit outside to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The excellent service definitely made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Best winery that I have visited so far in terms of wine tasting at the cellar door, food at restaurant and customer service. We had a visit last week in a group of 4 plus a dog. Lady at the cellar door was very knowledgable and generous, we were offered even more than 4 wines to taste which is what you would usually get there when doing wine tasting. Food upstairs was excellent, fresh, tasty and very well presented. Gentleman at the restaurant was also very friendly and welcoming with good knowledge around both food and wines they had on the menu. We had the best time at this place sitting outside with our dog pouring wine and enjoying deliciuos food. We hope good service continus and we will definitely go back for more visits and have already introduced this winery to couple of friends.

Had a great time here! The 3-course meal was amazing – the seafood pasta was super fresh and full of flavour, and the barramundi was cooked perfectly. Everything tasted so good and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this place if you’re after a really nice meal!

Came for a wine tasting with 6 people. Jonothan from France looked after us. He was excellent very informative and read the room well. We all were really happy with our purchases. Loved the desert wines. The Estate Gamay was a favourite with our group. Will def return and highly recommend.

The place is beautiful. Did not go during the peak season, but place is beautiful and they had wine tasting open for all. I did not taste the wine because I was driving but according to my mother, it was nice!

Just to get out and enjoy the fresh air is great for anyone. They have many walking tracks available along the Yarra River. Be aware with very young children as it can get slippery in sections, especially after rain. The River height and flow can rise very quickly after heavy rains. Safety is your number one priority. Having said that there is a great deal of bird life around and other fauna such as Wombats and kangaroos in the area which is wonderful. In the spring you can veiw some beautiful native flora in bloom. Public toilets, tables and chairs and a map of the area and surrounds is available. The carpark isn't very big so l suggest travelling in one car with friends or family will make it easier for you. Go have a look and see what is on offer. You never know the young ones might just be fortunate to see a Wombats and Kookaburras.

Great bushwalk with plenty of parking, has a toilet and picnic tables as well. Lovely place to get in touch with nature as it is not too busy and the trails around the river go right up into the bushes. Fun time.

This place is an absolute gem. If you’re looking for a bushwalk that doesn’t piss around, Warrandyte State Park delivers. The trails are pure magic – winding through rugged bushland, hugging the Yarra River, and serving up views that’ll knock your socks into next week.

Fantastic place for a hike along the Yarra River. Upstream is easier going while the downstream hiking track is a bit more challenging in some sections.

Warrandyte State Park was once well kept and inviting for picnics and short walks along the river. In recent years it has been in a state of decline around the main picnic area. Once you get away from the carpark area it improves a little, however, there is evidence everywhere of people toileting beside the paths which is pretty off-putting. Discarded beer bottles are a constant feature along the river trail.

Nice place to hike. The initial 2km of the hike felt adventurest as the path was small so only acted as a guide on which way to go. Abit rocky now and then but overall fun place to hike

Lovely peaceful walk to blue tongue bend. Saw a king parrot, cockatoos, rosellas, lorikeets, fairy wrens and even a wombat just standing in the middle of the path. Undulating path that stays close to the river. Also saw a big red fox across the river.

Scott was absolutely lovely, extraordinarily helpful and had a wonderful demeanor. The winery itself is very small and intimate, would recommend calling ahead if you want to visit. The wine tasting was great, you’ll get a taste of both white and reds (my faves were the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon) and we opted for the dip plate for some nibbles, was quite perfect. The views are stellar from the upstairs balcony. Really enjoyed our visit here!

It’s a very sweet winery with a beautiful vineyard view. Great place for family and friends gatherings. Very friendly staff. You can get a good introduction of all kinds of wine here. 👍🏼 They also support local artists here by displaying their art work. Beautiful art work too 💗

There’s a reason the rating for this boutique winery is 4.9/5. Tremendous hospitality by Bob, Dianne and Jo, and wines that are so beautifully crafted, along with an amazing lunch. Dianne and Bob spend time with us talking about each wine their poured, and their process from vine to glass. Also Bob, thanks for the recommendation for the seafood boat trip for Hobart, and more so for that 24 year old drop. The smoked meats (we had the kangaroo) and cheeses and accompaniments were some of the best we have had. We will be back for lunch again. Thanks for having us.

One of the best winery I visited. It's owned by friendly people who have lots of knowledge about wine making. The cheese plate is 10/10, especially blue cheese. They make it in-house. We tasted 7 wines, and Rose has made it to the top1.

This is our second visit to Yileena after our first visit 6 years ago. This became our favorite winery after our first visit, so there was a little trepidation that our second visit might destroy what we have come to love. The second visit impressed us even more than the first, not sure how that was possible. This winery is run by Bob & Diane – a husband wife team who exactly know what they are doing. Diane entertains the guests at their Cellar Door sharing stories about the wine and the deliciously curated accompaniments (Dukkah, Smoked Cheeses, Olives and even Kangaroo ham!). This winery is on a small scale – Bob mentioned that while most wineries harvest 6-8 tons of grapes per acre, their goal is around 2! The entire experience is incredibly personal! We visited during the warmest time of the day, so there were not many visitors, that allowed us an ample time to converse with the Bob & Diane who know exactly why and how they create their wines. The only place to purchase their wine & delicacies is from their cellar door. So be sure to stop by for a tasting or just to shop. It will continue to be a stop that cannot be missed on any future trip to Melbourne! Love from Minnesota!

Me and my partner booked an air BnB for 2 days here and wow! We were delighted with how we were greeted by our host. The view is amazing, the hospitality is very good. Our room was so cute! Very cosy place to spend in the cold. The view is amazing of the winery. If you want to get away from the hustle and sounds of the city and suburbs then this place definitely can clear your head. 100/10 recommend

Love love love! Fantastic range of award winning wine including estate grown Tempranillo, the only one we saw in the Yarra Valley. Both the Sparkling Tempranillo and Blanc de blanc are stand outs. We we also so fortunate to stay in the tower accommodation for the long weekend and our every need was met - Cathy and Angus are generous hosts and very knowledgeable local ambassadors. Sutherland Estate is a must visit and stay, if you can.

We were at Sutherland Estate over the weekend it was beautiful!!! Views were amazing looking out over the valley we couldn't get over how nice it was! From the moment we got engaged we knew exactly where we wanted to get married. Sutherland is our favourite winery in the Yarra Valley and it was a no brainer. The location is picturesque and peaceful, the wine is varied and delicious and the venue itself has big open windows all around so you can enjoy the valley and vine views, large fireplace and great intimate space. Cathy has always been helpful and willing to help make any changes to make it the perfect day. The catering option provided by Chefs2u was a perfect match. Highly recommend Cathy and Sutherland Estate.

What a great place to chill by the river or in the river. Lots of slimy rocks thou but had a great time exploring in the heat. Ducks are friendly and be careful when leaving food around and rubbish as they will try to take it.

The beach itself is alright. Not the prettiest but a decent place if you want to cycle or jog along this beach. I would imagine it will be a much better experience if the sky wasn't gloomy :') anyway I came here for the wild penguins and this place is convenient with tram. Easily accessible

Such a lovely atmosphere! The promenade along the beach is perfect for relaxing walks and the whole area feels calm and inviting. The main street nearby has plenty of cafés and places to eat, so it’s easy to stop for a drink or a meal after exploring. A really nice spot to spend a few hours by the coast.

St Kilda Beach in Melbourne is an amazing area to visit! The beach is beautiful and clean, with soft, spotless sand. You can even spot penguins there—such a lovely experience. It’s also the best place for running, with fresh air and a relaxing atmosphere all around.

Went here for our beach hunt in melbourne..honestly speaking , with beach like these I don't understand why Australian preferred bali beaches ..but aside from that the place was nice and we spent around 2 hours here before moving to Brighton.. One thing I did not know before, that the have a penguin conversitory and you can see the penguins at night..

Edendale Community Environment Farm is the perfect place for a relaxing, educational family outing in Eltham. Entry is free (donations welcome), so it’s super accessible, and kids absolutely love feeding the chickens and meeting friendly farm animals like alpacas, goats, chicken and sheeps. The gardens are delightful with a spiral garden, shaded sandpit, and quirky recycled-art features that are great for little explorers. Cafe Eden is lovely for a snack or coffee with a view, and the lawns make a great spot for a picnic too. There’s ample parking onsite, and if that’s full, you can easily park at the nearby playground and walk across via the bridge. Recommend for a fun, green, and budget-friendly family day out.

Visiting Edendale community environmental centre was lovely and educational. It’s a great setup and family friendly. There were quite a few school groups having an educational introduction in worm farming and composting. I wandered randomly seeing the chooks, goats, Guinea pigs, sheep and alpacas and admired the garden art features. I finished at the gift shop with so many nice things and bought a bag of organic apples. The cafe offers great and affordable drinks and foods, so I enjoyed my egg & chutney toasty before heading home. Thank you! 💖🌸

Since I found this farm, I often go visit this place with my kids. This farm is run by donation only and you simply do the donation as needed by tapping your card. Everything was so easy and peaceful. This is not one of the big farms but it has all the animals you expect to see in a farm. We loved seeing little lambs jumping around and we had a chance to feed animals there. Really cute to see little chickens in the enclose and they are very gentle with kids. My kids always have fun feeding and touching animals - easy couple hours of fun for kids! I personally did not like the cafe as the quality of coffee was bad and the staff working there were extremely slow and not very friendly. Probably everything in this cafe was over-priced for its size and quality. From my perspective, not good beans nor well-trained barista. As long as I got my coffee and snack from somewhere else, this farm is the easiest place to go! A lot of people just have a picnic! Free parking but it can get busy sometimes.

Amazing place to take the kids. Also ideal for a picnic as you get the nice shade of the big trees. There is a cafe and plenty of parking. You can also feed some animals, so it’s worth the visit. No entry fee, but you can make a donation. There is a small nursery where you can buy some beautiful plants.

I really enjoyed my time there. This farm is very well maintained, beautiful and free. A donation is only just $3 (pls don’t forget to donate) and chicken food for $2. Great experience for kids just with an affordable budget. Parking can be difficult when there’s a birthday party going on. A playground next to the farm is also a must visit!

It has been years since I was last at the Shrine and I cannot remember it looking so well kept and iconic. This area is such a wonderful part of Melbourne to walk around and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for Australia. The trees around the Shrine are dedicated to various Battalions and units throughout the ADF history. Thank you so much to everyone involved in the maintenance of one of Australia's most sacred areas.

A beautiful and peaceful place that I often visit. The architecture is impressive, and the view from the top gives a great look over the Melbourne skyline. The lush gardens around it add to the serene atmosphere. It’s a war memorial built to honour all Australians who have served and continue to serve in wars and peacekeeping missions. There’s also a museum inside with interesting displays and personal stories. It’s a place where you could sit for hours, switch off, and reflect. Definitely worth a visit.

It is an amazing place to visit, to learn the history of war. You’d better allow 3 hours to visit the place. There are street parking available that peak hours $4/ hour and off-peak $2/ hour.

I were surprised there is no charge for visiting Shrine of Remembrance. Donations are accepted. Great place to visit and learn about Australian military involvement around the world 🌎 The architecture is impressive and the view of the city is breathtaking. The comprehensive tour provided an intimate look at the stadium's iconic features, including the hallowed grounds and player facilities. Engaging with the rich heritage and significant moments that have transpired within its walls was captivating. The informative insights into the venue's evolution and its place in sports history were enlightening. Overall, the visit left a lasting impression of admiration for the venue's significance.

Visiting the Melbourne Cricket Ground was truly a memorable experience. The stadium’s sheer size and historic significance immediately stood out—it’s not just a sporting venue, but a landmark filled with tradition and pride. Walking through the gates, I could feel the energy and legacy of countless legendary matches that have taken place here. The guided tour was well-organized and gave fascinating insights into the stadium’s history, the players, and the cultural importance of cricket in Australia. Standing in the stands and imagining the roar of over 100,000 fans was simply breathtaking. The MCG shop was also a highlight, offering a wide range of memorabilia and merchandise, perfect for any cricket lover. Overall, the visit was both exciting and inspiring. Whether you’re a cricket enthusiast, a sports fan, or just someone who appreciates history and culture, the MCG is an absolute must-visit in Melbourne

Visited the MCG for the AC/DC concert, and it was an unforgettable experience! The energy, the sound quality, and the atmosphere were absolutely electric. The stadium was well-organised, easy to navigate, and the vibe was just incredible. A perfect venue for a legendary show! ⚡🎸

My daughter and I, visiting from England, had a great time on the tour of the MCG. Expertly guided by club member Anne, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience on the eve of the AFL Grand Final. As we anticipated, the changing rooms and Long Room were out of bounds so close to the big event, but these minor disappointments were soon forgotten as the rest of the tour was so informative and inspiring. Should you have the opportunity to also visit the adjoining museum you must do so, as this is a phenomenal experience. Many thanks to Bill, the very helpful volunteer who entertained me here. A real highlight of our trip to the city.

This is the second largest cricket ground. We were welcome to visit the cricket ground. Each and everything of the auditorium was clearly presented to us. We saw the cricketers landing area , their changing rooms , Physio therapy rooms , resting rooms . The ground was being maintained. We also saw the place where the speakers sit , the management sitting area cafeteria and so on . The best part is the museum. Very informative. Must visit whole you are at Australia don’t miss it.

Purchased a Tour and Australian Sports Museum Ticket. Best buy! Tour was fantastic and the museum has been well set out. Highly recommend both but if you're not a museum fan at least do the MCG Tour.

The NGV is definitely a must-visit when you’re in Melbourne. The variety of art on display is incredible — from classic works to contemporary installations, Indigenous pieces, and international exhibitions. Every room offers something unique, and you can easily spend hours exploring without getting bored. What I loved most was how thoughtfully everything was curated. The exhibitions had a clear flow, the descriptions were informative, and the overall vibe was calm and inspiring. The gallery space itself is also stunning — spacious, clean, and easy to access by public transport. That said, it can get very crowded during major exhibitions. Some parts felt rushed or hard to fully enjoy because of the number of people. Also, the layout can be a bit confusing at times, especially when transitioning between different sections or locations. A few visitors seemed frustrated by early room closures or long queues for ticketed exhibits. Still, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. NGV offers a rich cultural experience and is a gem for both locals and tourists. Just try to visit on a weekday or earlier in the day to avoid the peak rush!

The NGV is always a great place to spend a few hours, even though it was quite packed during my visit, there’s so much to see that it’s worth it. The mix of permanent collections and changing exhibitions keeps things fresh, and I really appreciated that some of the exhibitions are free, which makes it very accessible. A must-visit if you’re in Melbourne.

My wife and I were visiting from Sydney and decided to go to the NGV as we were walking around the city. We were very pleasantly surprised at the diversity of the art and sculptures in the collections. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Melbourne.

I visited the National Gallery of Victoria on a busy Saturday afternoon with friends. I’ve been a few times before as a local, but this visit stood out because I had the chance to really explore more of what the gallery offers. It’s just a short walk or tram ride from Flinders Street Station if you’re coming by PTV, or plenty of paid parking is available nearby if you’re driving. The building itself is hard to miss, with its large size, striking fountain and man made pond out the front, and of course the iconic water wall at the entrance. Entry is free unless you choose to see one of the rotating paid exhibitions. This time, we skipped the ticketed exhibit and wandered through the many free galleries instead. On the ground floor, there’s a stunning foyer space filled with sculptures and the famous room with the colourful stained glass ceiling, which always feels magical to walk under. From there, you can step outside into the sculpture garden and pond area, which is another highlight. Getting upstairs is easy with both escalators and accessible options. The galleries are currently arranged by region, and it was fascinating to walk through each one and see the differences and similarities across cultures. I especially loved the Japanese and Chinese galleries, the detail and richness of the traditional pieces were incredible. Even though it was busy, the space felt open enough for everyone to explore at their own pace. There were toilets on every level, information points, and staff around to help if you needed directions. The building itself is so large that it almost felt like a maze at times but getting “lost” just meant stumbling upon more artwork to enjoy. We didn’t even manage to get through everything before closing, which only gives me another reason to come back. Everything felt well looked after, and the whole gallery had such a calm, inspiring vibe. I’d absolutely recommend visiting the NGV if you’re in Melbourne and looking for something to do in the CBD. It’s packed with history, culture, and beauty, and it’s the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again.

After Six years，I visited here again. There were many tourists and many interesting exhibitions, which were really amazing. After visiting the exhibition, you can also have a cup of coffee or some afternoon tea here, buy some art souvenirs, and there are many books worth reading.

Big open place in the city. Lots of people and things to see. Can visit art galleries, museums, or sit at cafes. Modern buildings look cool. Good spot to walk around and take photos.

This is a arts & culture plaza situated across from street from St. Paul's Cathedral and the historic Flinders Station at the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Streets in the CBD. It makes use of 3.2 hectares of space and includes several notable venues for art and cultural events and performances along with museums, galleries and restaurants. You can learn more about current and upcoming events on the Fed Square website. There are a handful of modern buildings with appealing architectural design on the square, making this an interesting place to browse and spend time even if not visiting to attend events. For this purpose you can pass by and spend a few minutes just before crossing Princes Bridge and the Yarra River to spend time at the Gardens or South Bank attractions to the south.

We visited this museum, it was very close to our accommodation.. it’s free to enter however they do have a few exhibits that you have to pay $18 to visit but we did not.. this is a museum that centres on art , some done by indigenous people and their culture .. others done with recycled material, and others from famous people like James Brown + many more .. you can take pictures as well .. there is a gift store and bathrooms on every level .. there are escalators and elevators…

Very wonderful plaza place. This is a nice place to meet up at, as there are many places to sit and talk about whatever is happening. This place is right opposite Flinders street railway station, which is good, i guess. This place holds many different events and shows, and at Christmas time, has some amazing Christmas decorations, like a giant Christmas tree, and more. Very nice.

We really enjoyed our visit to Melbourne Skydeck! The 360° views of the city were absolutely stunning and gave us a whole new perspective of Melbourne. Definitely worth a visit if you want to see the city from above.

We tried some food and drinks from the café; although the prices were a bit expensive, we really enjoyed the mocktails, which were refreshing and tasty. If you’re visiting Melbourne, this is a must-see attraction — especially for first-time visitors who want to see the city from above. A short visit can give you a great glimpse of the entire city. Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for both kids and adults.

I wouldn't recommend to get the edge ticket as you can see the view just before it without paying anything. I definitely recommend theater experience! Worth every penny!

This is a must visit place which takes you back to another time and has an amazing vibrancy. There are many shops but what stunned me was the architecture. I just kept looking up at threat craftsmanship of the people who built this.

Visited The Block Arcade early in the morning, quiet and easy to explore. Beautiful heritage building with ornate mosaic floors, glass roof, and boutique shops. Fun fact: it was opened in 1893 and is one of Melbourne’s most iconic historic shopping arcades.

The architecture and decor still well appreciated by many and the building is heritage listed. Do look up and down. The mosaic tiles, the glass ceilings, the archways and painting. Stunning. Plenty of cafes and stores to keep you busy for an hour. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly fly. Pram accessible. Toilets nearby.

A visit to Sealife is a wortwhile and enjoyable activity for the whole family. There is something for everyone and a wide selection of exhibits. They have sharks, rays, turtles, jellyfish, seahorses a touch tank, frogs, snakes and penguins! The lift upgrade was happening during our visit so had to park the pram out front. We had reserved a pram spot but were strongly advise against it unless we absolutely needed it. Managed ok without it. They have "free" pictures which they ask you to pay $40 for at the end. To be fair they come in a very cute book and it is a neat souvenier. Overall, recommend. Will be good once the lift is fixed.

It was ok, maybe were just spoilt other similar places around the word are way better. I really wanted to give it 3.5 but that wastnt an option. I went with my 15 year old daughter and we went as slow as we could and were in and out in under 2 hours. The exhibits were pretty good but there was a lot a areas with nothing. You also couldn't really do multiple laps more like a one way system. It was also very tired and in need of a huge update. So areas were unique and very enjoyable like jelly fish section. The crocodile pen was closed which we were unaware of. I does get really busy, I don't think it's worth queueing up for long unless you've neve been to an aquarium before. It's also on the expensive side for what there is. Perth Aqua which I think is better is about $20 cheaper. The only good thing is kids age is 15 which is very fair.

We've been members here for years and totally love it. They've renovated, especially with a cool new section where you can check out native marine life like biscuit starfish and spider crabs, and explore the rocky shore. The interactive rockpool is awesome for all ages, and their staff are super helpful, explaining all the species. One young Asian guy, I didn't catch his name, was amazing – he'd notice us looking at something and then drop extra facts. My toddler was hooked and learned so much from him! We went on a Friday around lunchtime. This place always delivers with spot talks all day long. We ended up staying over four hours. If you're coming from far, they have designated parking for a discount, but definitely check their website first. This time, we parked across at Crown Multi Parking and only paid $15 since we arrived before lunch and left around 4 pm. Their membership is worth buying especially if you have a little and wants to come for few hours. I highly recommend.

Wonderful exhibit, loved how interactive it was and lots for many different age groups, walking through the tunnel aquarium with big sharks and rays swimming above you is excellent. Penguins were the best part. Food quite reasonably priced wrap very yummy (chips too)

My partner took me here for a surprise date! He knows I love fish… it was perfect. I would recommend getting tickets in advance because it’s cheaper and if your students too there is a discount. The aquarium itself is quite large and the area where you can touch the starfish was nice. Although I feel bad about going to aquariums I think it’s nice to inform the general population about ecosystems that are in danger and how to help them as common people. I think fish are quite the underestimated and not so seen importance of our earth. I’m happy to see animals but it makes me sad to see them in enclosures. I hope that Sealife is an active participant in the ocean life and contributes in helping with the destruction of our earth.

The aquarium is much larger than I expected, and its strongest feature is the jellyfish zone, genuinely stunning and almost hypnotic to watch. The penguin exhibit is also engaging, helped by the addition of a fun 4D cinema experience. That said, there are several drawbacks. The souvenir prices are noticeably inflated, often around 40% higher than what you’d find elsewhere. Some of the larger tanks feel surprisingly empty, with fewer fish than you’d expect in a space that size. The overall variety of marine life is a bit limited, and there aren’t many interactive activities to keep the experience dynamic.

Was a nice experience. takes around 2 hours to go through the whole aquarium. My criticism of it from when I went to this aquarium when it first opened and then 5 years ago is that they have way less marine life now. Not sure of it’s a cost cutting measure or for animal welfare? Some of the tanks looked amazing and some had 3 fish in them for example. And lots of walking around with big open spaces but would prefer more tanks of marine life.

Visited State Library Victoria, a stunning blend of history and knowledge in the heart of Melbourne. The domed La Trobe Reading Room is breathtaking, and the historic architecture combined with modern galleries makes it a perfect spot to explore or enjoy some quiet time. Fun fact: it’s Australia’s oldest public library, established in 1854.

We made a special trip to this library, which is reputed to be the most beautiful. Sorry, but I didn’t borrow a single book, as I came purely to see this stunning architecture. Looking up at the double-height space, you can feel a sense of spacious, pressure-free openness. Many tourists kept taking photos, even as closing time approached. The staff repeatedly reminded everyone that it was time to leave, yet many were still reluctant to go. This alone speaks volumes about the charm of this place. Perhaps it’s not that no one was borrowing books, but the simple, substantial, and grand spatial beauty is truly unforgettable.

Such a good place to visit and hang out. Full of students doing their assignments as well as tourists checking their collections, but still nice and quiet. Learn more about Ned Kelly here. When we were in Melbourne, we visited State Library Victoria, one of the oldest and most beautiful libraries in the world. The La Trobe Reading Room with its white dome ceiling is absolutely magnificent — peaceful, bright, and full of charm. Many tourists go up to Level 5 and 6 for the best photo spots overlooking the dome. Free entry, open to everyone — definitely a must-visit when you’re in Melbourne!

Honestly so impressive. Loved the exhibition spaces, could wander for hours. Note there was wait time to take the lifts up/down to look down at the upper levels of the dome as there is no option to take stairs, so this does get crowded. Might be better on a weekday.

Melbourne city library is the iconic site I feel the most impressed about the city. Full of cultures, paintings, artworks and writing works here. I had the most relaxed and enjoyed moments here on the weekend. Perfect.

Melbourne Museum is an absolute gem! We visited after lunch with my son, and even in just a few hours, we had an incredible time. This is a place where kids (and adults!) can learn so much in a fun and engaging way — you could easily spend a full day exploring. The dinosaur exhibition was a highlight for us, packed with fascinating displays and information that really capture children’s curiosity. We also loved the insect area, which was both educational and surprisingly fun to explore. Everything is well-presented, interactive, and perfect for sparking young minds. Adults tickets are $15, and kids go free, making it fantastic value for families. I recommend booking online to avoid the queues. We’ll definitely be back for a full-day visit next time!

An awesome experience! The Star Wars Lego exhibition was super easy to access and really simple to navigate. There are plenty of activities throughout, for both kids and adult fans. It’s a great outing for families as well as die-hard Star Wars and LEGO fans. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend checking it out!

Pretty cool place tbh. The Melbourne Museum is huge — like, you could easily get lost in there. Loved the dinosaur section and the First Peoples exhibit, super interesting and well done. There’s also a kids area that looked fun even if you’re not a kid lol. Some parts felt a bit dated though, and a few displays could use more interactive stuff or better lighting. But overall, it’s a chill spot to spend a few hours and learn a bunch of random cool things. Would def recommend if you’ve got some free time in Melbourne.

I took my granddaughter to the Halloween at the Museum on the afternoon of Oct31st. We came a little early so we had to wait to enter. It was such an exciting event for my granddaughter…and for me. Kids in costume as well as the adults. The activities for the kids were great and we enjoyed looking at the gallery in the dark. It was fantastic. Parking in the basement was handy. Staff were friendly but not quite knowledgeable of the wheres and whats that night. Still, I will recommend this museum and this particular event. Its a must see and must attend!

We had the best experience at the museum. We went there when there was the Lego Exhibition on Star Wars - the creation were insanely good! There was also a rainforest in the museum - we went in to have a look. We saw the T-Rex show at the iMax theatre too. We had so, so much fun. Absolutely recommend a visit - more than worth the day and money.

This review is only about current special exhibition: Treasures of the Viking Age -The Galloway Hoard. The Galloway Hoard discovered in 2014 had 100 items, a small but very significant find. However, what is exhibited here is a lot less, museum blurb states about 90 pieces but it does look significantly less. The items are spread out in sections - entrances like Viking doorways & "padded" with massive graphics via video & static projections, albeit immersively displayed & easy to digest. The superstars of the Hoard - the small silver vessel with lid, the tiny crystal jar covered with elaborate goldwork & one more item - are all 3D-printed replicas. The reason - too fragile to be transported. I really liked the presentation & background on how the hoards were buried, the trade & marauding routes traversed by Viking warlords that enabled procurement of precious metals from far away lands along the Silk Route. But disingenuous inclusion of other discoveries is not necessary. I would rather hear more about why hoarding was so prevalent 1000 years ago or did I miss this bit? There is enough original intricate pieces that makes this exhibition worthwhile - artefacts like the Silver Cross with the fine spiral chain, intricate armbands (make great copies for olde fashion wrist watches!) & the elaborate brooches. But, but (& the reason for my 3 star review) - Where are the replicas of Vikings - both men & women, depicting how these wonderful ancient antiquities were adorned/worn? This would have really showcased the the wealth of the warlords & their treasured heirlooms..✨️✨️

It's an interesting place with a lot of history. The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. The actress/guide on the night in particular was very good. The Ghosts! What ghosts? Tour wasn't what you'd call scary in any way but it was very interesting.

Highly recommend add on just $5 dollars for watch house experience and you can see more old gaol not just the experience itself! The staff there are all super friendly. I missed the watch house experience for the first time so they let me go at another day just for it and I didn’t have to buy the ticket again! (The last time is at 15:45) Had a really great time there✨

My partner and I attended the 'Ghosts? What Ghosts?' guided tour, lead by a great storyteller Janette. I loved the experience and stories told, as well as the images we saw along the way. Loved being guided in the dark, added to the atmosphere. Overrall very very happy with our experience, loved it!

It was my first time attending a Halloween event, and it was a lot of fun. It would be even better if there were more interactive elements and little surprises in the decorations.

The sergeant arrested and "searched" us. He told us to surrender our contraband. We were told not to smile but we did! I enjoyed the commentary and looking around.

A bit like sealife we were underwhelmed. Im not sure Melbourne Zoo lives up to its expectations of a world class Zoo. It had so much potential. Now we are spoilt!! San Diego Zoo for example, and even Singapore. Personally I preferred Perth Zoo. I think the big thing for us was what appeared to be the lack of animals. Yes I know they could be sleeping but it felt like there was mostly only one of everything and you had buckleys chance seeing it. Funny enough you actually go to a zoo to see animals. Some of the enclosures felt small and not really good enough. There were also no shows like most other zoos, normally a daily programme. Also a lot of sections were closed either for a private function (not acceptable) or i don't know what. As with every entertainment event Food and Beverages are always a rip off but the quality, variety and costs here were terrible, again compared to other zoos. To be totally honest for the cost it's not really worth it. Fantastic for tiny kids otherwise forget it.

Had a really great time at Melbourne Zoo, the weather was a little crazy so not all the animals were out but it was still okay. the meerkats are so adorable, they are definitely used to people. Few food places within the zoo out didn’t get the opportunity to eat at them. Found a couple of gift shops with a huge range of memorabilia. You get to walk inside a cage with lemurs in it which was really cool. zoo is open from 9am onwards. I suggest bringing an umbrella because the ones in the gift shop are $40. There is also a beautiful Japanese garden and a koi fish pond. Great function rooms.

we spent 3 hours here (skipped a handful of exhibits). great zoo to visit. super easy to navigate, great variety of animals. animals look well taken care of, with a lot of thought and effort put into their habitats and enrichment. lots of education for visitors. appreciate all the conservation efforts and information as well. loved this zoo and highly recommend it.

Melbourne Zoo is an amazing place to spend a day. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the habitats feel natural and spacious, giving you the sense that the animals are truly cared for. Don't expect to see all the animals. Some of them are sleeping or just hiding from the public. Not all of us like cameras and lots of attention. Hahaha 😁 There’s a fantastic variety of wildlife — from lions and gorillas to playful lemurs and the always-fascinating butterfly house. It’s also very family-friendly, with plenty of activities and areas for kids to learn and explore.

We had a fantastic day out! The zoo was huge and had so many animals to see. The food was yummy and prices were super affordable. Only bummer was the butterfly garden was closed when we visited. Would definitely come back, there's just so much to see and enjoy!

Had a wonderful visit to the zoo to see the new baby giraffe. We are members and love visiting the zoo as a family. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the butterfly house but was disappointed at the Asian tourists trying to touch the butterflies. There really needs to be an attendant in the butterfly house the whole time because even after pointing to signs not to touch these people were touching. Made my heart sad for the little butterflies.

visited the Melbourne Zoo on a Friday and was genuinely impressed. It’s hands down one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to. The variety of animals is excellent, and what really stood out to me was the thoughtful, intelligent design of the enclosures. They allow you to get remarkably close to the animals — much closer than in many other zoos — without ever compromising the animals’ comfort or safety. While the ticket price is on the higher side, I found it absolutely worth it once I was inside. You can really tell that a lot of care and effort goes into making this place special — both for visitors and for the animals. Highly recommended!

Great course, atmosphere was great. The course was in Amazing condition. Bins & signs everywhere so you can’t get lost ! The course flows really nicely. There are plenty of Kangaroos to keep you company. Highly recommended

I played VGA Pennant golf at Yarrambat and wow how good was this golf course the fairways were mint and the greens were soft but fast and true. The practice facilities were good too. The golf course was very well presented and challenging. The club house hospitality part is great and also outdoor dining too, with a golf course view. There is also a Mini Golf course at the front of the club house. Great for fun with children and parents. Worth a visit.

This is our local golf course and recently took our kids to the driving range there and it was incredible. The kids had a ball and the location is so serene. I recommended to our friends as well. We went again this week only to be told they no longer lend out clubs to kids unless they are part of the youth program because people steal them. We offered to leave our licence but they wouldn't. Really disappointing service and the kids were devastated. Clearly don't want to cater to future golfers or want parents to buy them for the odd occassion they go to the range. Really disappointing for a local club.

Drove over an hour for a booking I made earlier in the week, only to arrive and find the course closed due to the weather. I completely understand that the weather can’t be controlled, but the lack of communication was unacceptable — no call, text, or email to let us know before travelling such a long way. To make matters worse, we were told refunds aren’t possible and that only credits are offered. That’s incredibly poor customer service, especially when the closure wasn’t our fault. I’m sure the course itself is great, but the staff member on the desk showed no care or professionalism in how the situation was handled.

Surprisingly it is a great course, wide challenging and tricky green. The online booking very easy. Don’t forget to wind down at the cafe after the game. Very happy to spend the weekend here.

I had a very positive experience dealing with Toby Walker in the Yarambat pro shop. I sought Toby's expertise and found his wealth of knowledge, care, honesty and treating my equipment as it was his own a relief. It took me 3 tries to find a pro shop that actively listened to what I wanted and were able to help me which was awful. I thought good service and competency was dead these days until I met Toby. If I were to ever need assistance with equipment, a golf lesson or anything to do with Golf in general I'd highly recommend Toby. I'll be back to play Yarrambat Golf Course for sure after the experience I had. Thanks Yarrambat & Toby for the friendly service, I've already been spreading the positive word around town! Much appreciated.

I don't play golf but this is easily my favourite place for a parma and a beer. Nothing better than sitting outside on a sunny day looking over the green and enjoying a pint of Carlton Draught. My kids love the mini golf and I love the serenity. Staff are always great too.

My now husband, Francis, and I recently had our wedding at Kinglake Forest on 8 March 2025. Our experience with the staff at Kinglake, especially Donna, was incredible! As we all know, weddings can be overwhelming and at times stressful, but working with the team at Forest Weddings felt like a breeze. They made the process of wedding planning fun and enjoyable. We can look back on it fondly, and that to us is priceless. Donna was extremely organised. Being organised people ourselves, we felt reassured knowing that the team had our back. Their communication was seamless and clear at all times. We are so grateful to be able to look back on the wedding planning process and smile. The wedding day was the best day of our lives! Donna worked with us perfectly, ensuring we were comfortable and driving us up and down with the buggy. She made us feel calm and relaxed with her positive attitude. We knew we had made the right decision when we chose Kinglake Forest as our wedding venue. Sometimes, it is not even about the place—it is the people and the team you trust that make the difference. Awesome fun. My son and I loved it. The staff were very patient to encourage my son to finally step of the edge of the tree top and down the zip line. It’s a huge step for him overcoming a fear of heights.

Awesome place for a school camp or group camp if you want to bring people closer together. I had such a great time and challenged myself in many differnet ways. Thanks to Ben, Alex, James, Liam, Ewan, Biz and all the kitchen staff for planning and preparing everything and for making things run smoothly even thought the weather did not want to cooperate. It really was an amazing camp and I hope to go back there some time in the future.

The team was 10/10 - had so much fun, learnt a lot about myself and my colleagues on a work trip! The kitchen staff made food that was faultless!!! I would say the only this I wanted more of was… my time there! Thank you to everyone, special shout-out to Hammo, our “elder”, who allowed me to grow so much! The three days we spent at KFAC was unforgettable! 👌🏼🤩

Had the most amazing day today. Staff so friendly and helpful - patient with my fear of heights so that I was able to successfully accomplish some high rope activities. Did a bike course which was fun and the surrounding bush is a beautiful environment to be in. Grabbed an electric bike later to try and tackle some big hills! Great day!

Great challenging country course with large fairways,long par 5s and bunkers to contend with . New GPS built into karts which is also handy.

I’ve played Growling Frog many times over the years and always enjoyed the layout and natural setting. On my most recent visit, the course presented really well overall – the fairways and tees were in great nick, and the facilities and staff were, as always, first-class. That said, the greens were a real letdown this time around. Unfortunately, they’re in need of some serious attention – a proper scarifying and topdressing would go a long way to restoring them. At the moment, they’re patchy, inconsistent, and not up to the standard the rest of the course sets. Growling Frog is a fantastic track with a lot of potential, and with a bit of investment into the greens, it could be back to its best. Looking forward to seeing the improvements in the coming months.

I’ve played a lot of golf here over the years as it was always one of my favourites. It’s a real shame that it’s no longer maintained to its previous level. The condition of the fairways has dropped, but they’re still in reasonable condition. The greens however are not, and it has been the same for 12+ months now. They’re fluffy, patchy, and the cups are heavily damaged because it looks like they’re rarely moved. The staff are great, as always, but my mates and I won’t be playing there again unless something changes.

A beautiful sunset at the golf range looks like heaven on Earth.

Played a round with my social club last Sunday. Weather was fine...wind was up but course was in wonderful condition given the lack of rain. Love the layout. Challenging (thankfully all the water hazards had no water lol). Club contacted us 6 weeks prior to let us know the greens had some kangaroo damage and they'd implemented a recover program. Really appreciated the transparency and hence fully accepted the greens being a little fluffy. Certainly very playable regardless. Saw a burger on another table and it was massive (no idea the cost). Not sure how it'll hold up in wetter months as last time in August it wasn't flash so this review is based on good weather lead up. Thanks and see you again soon.

It had been a very long time since my last visit to the water park, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this time was truly more fun, absolutely fantastic, and genuinely amazing! It was completely different from my last experience. The rides were exhilarating, the atmosphere was vibrant, and I made some fantastic memories. I hope to enjoy the attraction again in the future!

Pleasantly surprised by the upkeep of the park. Good mix of wet and dry rides. Plenty of picnicking options. Would recommended taking your own food as super expensive onsite. Showers and changing rooms very clean. Went off peak and there were no lines.

came on a monday and park wasn’t busy that busy, except there was a bit of waiting at the bigger rides. i spent a last day with my bf here before going on a 3 month long trip overseas and was some of the best fun i had in months. the only thing is that it’s fairly far out to a lot of places, being in whittlesea, tickets are also somewhat pricey

When we went there it was temporarily closed because 17 schools were there but other than that it was pretty cool. Would love to come back here again. And the food was served was pretty delicious

We were meant to celebrate my son’s birthday at the park last weekend, but unfortunately the weather had other plans. I just wanted to share how impressed I was with the team for making the call to cancel the day before, it was thoughtful, proactive and really appreciated. Zac was so lovely on the phone and very professional. We’ve been to Funfields are few times over the years and can’t wait to re-book my son’s party and get back there when the weather is better. Highly recommend.

The new addition of the Lazy River, bumper cars and VIP Huts really add a whole new dimension to this park ! The Huts are well worth the extra money - it felt so private and comfortable with lounges and even a fridge to keep the drinks cold ! The shade and the location really do make them priceless. Kids can’t wait to go back again 🥰

It was great day with kids , plenty of parking , great seats and tables inside the theme park , take your own food and drink , spent the whole day picnic and play, should definitely visit again when open for next season

Always an incredible experience! I've been coming here for 10 years and my mum did before me with her parents too. Staff are lovely, horses are gorgeous and the whole atmosphere is magical!

Was a very good experience, horses are docile, staffs are friendly and supportive. Boots, jackets, bum bags provided. Wild animals could be seen, kangaroos, rabbits, and even peacock. Strongly recommend to take the 3 hour ride, 2 hours definitely not enough to find your fun.

Great fun day. This was an anniversary present. The horses are great and well looked after. Lots of parking. They can supply bum bags, boots and helmets. Your welcome to take you own. The start took roughly an hour to get everyone on there horses, so be prepared to sit on them for a while. Abit of paper work to do at the start. Nice little trails through the bush. We picked the 3 hour afternoon ride. We got to stop at a little house on the hill overlooking everywhere, we had coffee, cordial and biscuits. With a much needed toilet break. People were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! It was a present for my fiancé’s birthday, and we loved it! It was my first horse ride, so I was a bit nervous, but all the staff were very friendly and helpful. In our group, we had a mother and daughter as our coaches. They shared stories with us, which made our riding experience even more special. We will be back ❤️lovely!

Was an amazing experience, the people working there are so kind. We had never ridden horses before, but the team made it easy to learn. There’s the option to be picked up from Wallan Station making it easy with PTV.

Where do I begin? Wonderful day out for my friends birthday. I was paired with ANZAC(the horse) who was a well mannered gentleman throughout the ride. We were hot to trot and saw a roo, a bunny and an echidna.

This was one of the best experiences I had... I went on the 3-hour trail ride and the staff there made sure everyone was given horses according to their ability and made sure everyone was comfortable with them.... The staff were just lovely - they talked to each one of us and asked about if we were comfortable or not. The way the staff handled beginner riders and experienced riders separately was so good. they made sure that the beginners were sent first and the experienced to canter behind them. I would go this place every 2 weeks from now on cause the pricing for this 3 hour ride was worth every penny of the experience.

Discovered a two player, shared cart deal for $89. Couldn’t say no but wondered what the catch was. Turns out it’s just fantastic value. Course was in great condition, greens rolled nicely and the facilities are beautiful. Highly recommend and would definitely make a return back to this gem.

Great value, well kept golf course with great facilities. Chipping and putting greens as well as practice nets. Friendly staff, good cafe area and a nice overall challenging course.

Solid course a little outside the city, Norman style winding if uninspired layout over rolling countryside. Great resort-style landing area outside pro shop and Cafe, couch fairways well watered but lots of invasive grass. Great bunkers and even but slowish greens.

It's the top of the public course I've been to. The green is under repair these days, so it's a little rough, but after the repair is completed, it would be good to hold a PGA event~~

Decided to sit down in the bistro at Club Mandalay to order a flat white before playing golf. Friendly service and coffee was excellent, Cherise knows how to make a great coffee and what the customer wants, and the ambiance is very layback.

Highly recommended. Do yourself a favour and drop in enjoy lunch or dinner or simply play golf. Say hi to Alex and Tori, truly are fantastic staff and always make you feel welcome...

I have been a member for 9 months now and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful and I think it’s the best value for money course in Melbourne.

Amazing stop and the views. May be we were just lucky to see those beautiful clouds due to the time of the year we visited; in June end.

Some bias. Farquhar is my 3rd GGF while John is my 4th GGF. A hidden gem with an impressive lookout and a spectacular view of the rolling countryside. Exudes a sense of peace and tranquilly. Welcoming. Bring a camera. There is a picnic table. No toilets. So easy to sit back and chill for a couple hours and a much needed get away from suburbia. Definitely worth the visit. The information board largely goes ignored. But does have an error. Farquhar was not a soldier. He did come to NSW in 1836 after spending 6 years in Batavia. To get here I drove from Mornington Peninsula went through the "Flowerdale" route. Scenic and pretty drive. A small section is winding. The last road itself to the site is unsealed. Arrived on a Sunday around midday. Empty carpark. Though that steadily changed. Warm. Mildly cloudy.

It's a good place to stop over while you are on your way elsewhere. The hills and the whole panoramic view are beautiful. There is parking, but on a good day it may become difficult to park off there are too many people visiting. The best time to visit is easier earlier in the day for sunrise, or in the evening to watch sunset. There are a few benches to sit as well. The party of the road is gravel.

Nice scenic drive and a short stop over for photo shoot..😀…fantastic views all around and you can see the beautiful hills and plains around that area..ambient parking and usually a less crowded area..be there around the lunch time to enjoy the views..Sun rise / set views might be good as well…

If you are driving on the way to Mount Buller from Melbourne, this is the best spot to stop. The view subhanallah, magnificent God created for us to admit that Allah is Great and Greatly to be praised. Everyone should visit here !
