Brighton Beach in Melbourne is a great spot for photos, especially with its colorful bathing boxes lined up along the shore. They're part of the area's history, and still well-preserved. The beach has a nice view of the city skyline across the bay, and it's a good place for a quiet walk or to just sit and look out at the water.

I love love walking alongside the water. Seeing all the tourists here actually makes me happy to see as I’m glad people enjoy the little beach houses and that it’s a sight that’s fun to visit. I also feel the water is super clear here and it makes the colour of the water really nice. I’ve come here with friends, family, and on a school excursion when I was in high school and I’ve always had nice memories here.

Flinders Street station. Over the years I've seen a few impressive improvement changes. The organisation of signs is super helpful. Within seconds you can figure out where to catch the right train, making your travel experience enjoyable.

Play mini golf here in the ballroom during Rising Festival. Such a great space, rarely used. Was a good time.

We visited this iconic landmark in Melbourne. The architecture is classic and a nice place for photos. However, inside the station is all business and we could not get in without a train ticket. There are some food stalls and cafes just along the side of the train station.

Huge station with friendly staff and a lot of shops. I visited this station on Australia Day. There was a big crowd in front of the station but the police and security staff kept everything in order. This is historically building. It worths to visit even if you don’t use train. There is beautiful cathedral in front of the station. Good place to visit too.

It is a big shopping centre in the city. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants. The glass dome with the old shot tower inside is nice to see. You can get there by train or tram, but it can be busy. It is a good place to shop, eat, and spend time.

Visited Melbourne Central and loved the energy of the place. The mix of modern design and the historic Coop’s Shot Tower inside gives it a unique Melbourne character. The food court has great options, from quick bites to quality coffee, and the layout makes it easy to explore. It’s also well-connected, sitting right above the train station and close to trams, so it’s super convenient for locals and visitors alike. There’s always something happening — live music, pop-up shops, or art installations — which makes every visit feel a little different. A perfect spot to shop, eat, or just experience Melbourne’s vibrant city life.

Major shops, eateries in food court and restaurants, all in one place. Most shops open till 6pm. Do check the Lead shot tower/museum which gives a historic preview of the place. Well connected, tram on the outside, and train station at the basement.

The Coops Shot Tower was built in 1888 and used to make lead shot (small round bullets for firearms) by dropping molten lead from the top so it could form perfect spheres as it fell. It’s one of only a few surviving shot towers in Australia. When the Melbourne Central Shopping Centre was built in the early 1990s, instead of demolishing it, the developers preserved the tower and enclosed it under the large glass cone dome, now one of Melbourne’s most recognisable architectural features.

Went to the market for a look very interesting morning. Worth a visit if you’re interested in that kind of thing. Got some cheap joggers. Plenty to see and buy. Lots of fresh fruit and veggies at reasonable prices. Area was clean and under cover.

I just came out of Melbourne Central. Its sucha vibrant and plave full of life. The simplicity in all over makes it much easier to locate what you want. The stores have such nice workwers, that it makes me want to stay there. Th3 food ajd drimks vaey from simple brekkie all the way to 5 star dishes. Overall i think its a must visit place. Visited the MCG for the AC/DC concert, and it was an unforgettable experience! The energy, the sound quality, and the atmosphere were absolutely electric. The stadium was well-organised, easy to navigate, and the vibe was just incredible. A perfect venue for a legendary show! ⚡🎸

My daughter and I, visiting from England, had a great time on the tour of the MCG. Expertly guided by club member Anne, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience on the eve of the AFL Grand Final. As we anticipated, the changing rooms and Long Room were out of bounds so close to the big event, but these minor disappointments were soon forgotten as the rest of the tour was so informative and inspiring. Should you have the opportunity to also visit the adjoining museum you must do so, as this is a phenomenal experience. Many thanks to Bill, the very helpful volunteer who entertained me here. A real highlight of our trip to the city.

This is the second largest cricket ground. We were welcome to visit the cricket ground. Each and everything of the auditorium was clearly presented to us. We saw the cricketers landing area , their changing rooms , Physio therapy rooms , resting rooms . The ground was being maintained. We also saw the place where the speakers sit , the management sitting area cafeteria and so on . The best part is the museum. Very informative. Must visit whole you are at Australia don’t miss it.

Stunning Neo-Gothic Cathedral — Best to Visit on Weekdays St. Patrick’s Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. The moment you see it, the building has such an impressive and majestic presence. Inside, the stained-glass windows and the architecture are stunning — every detail makes you stop and look around. I loved the peaceful atmosphere, it’s a place where you can take a break from the busy city and just enjoy the silence. I recommend going during the week because it’s much calmer and you can really appreciate everything without the crowds of visitors on weekends. Definitely one of those spots in Melbourne you shouldn’t miss.

This is such a wonderful building in Melbourne! Ancient and Gothic looking from the outside and then you go inside and it is an area of peace and sanctity. There is so much history and some beautiful sculptures in and around the Cathedral. The stain glass windows and serenity makes this Cathedral particularly reflective. Thank you to all the staff who ensure the building/gardens are so well kept and maintained. For anybody who is in Melbourne, it is one of the gems.

One of the most stunning landmarks in Melbourne. The cathedral is built in the Decorated Gothic style architecture. The inside is just as peaceful and grand as the outside. Whether you’re religious or not, the calmness and beauty of the space offer a quiet moment of reflection. It’s free to enter, and not too crowded on weekdays. If you go around golden hour (late afternoon), the sunlight through the stained glass is truly breathtaking.

One of the most beautiful and breathtaking cathedrals we have been to. The architecture, statues, stain glass, displays, etc are moving. If you go on a partly cloudy day with the sun shining intermittently, you’ll get a special visual treat. More importantly than all of that is the peace and sense of holiness. Also check out the gift shop. I wish we had gotten the name of the gentleman working there. He was so kind, helpful, and friendly. We were so blessed to talk to him:)

Nice cathedral, worth having a look while there's no mass going on, as entry is free of charge. Despite being a catholic church, it doesn't feel oppressive, it's not full of gold and marble either. But it has its classic beauty nevertheless.

Another lovely church with a detailed exterior. Beautiful gardens and quiet when I went in the evening. We were allowed to be inside for a while before the security closed the church to visitors.

Great place for jogging, strolling and picnic. Couples, family or singles who is looking for peace, calmness or quality family time; this is a go to place. Lots of things to explore. And they have a cafe too in case that tummy is looking for something to fill it with.

Fitzroy Gardens isn’t very close to our place, but every time we visit the Melbourne Museum, I prefer parking here and walking through the gardens to get there. This is also where we had our wedding photos taken, which makes it even more special for us. The gardens are beautiful and full of interesting things to explore. My daughter can easily spend a couple of hours having little adventures here. It’s a really great spot.

It had been a very long time since my last visit to the water park, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, this time was truly more fun, absolutely fantastic, and genuinely amazing! It was completely different from my last experience. The rides were exhilarating, the atmosphere was vibrant, and I made some fantastic memories. I hope to enjoy the attraction again in the future!

Pleasantly surprised by the upkeep of the park. Good mix of wet and dry rides. Plenty of picnicking options. Would recommended taking your own food as super expensive onsite. Showers and changing rooms very clean. Went off peak and there were no lines.

came on a monday and park wasn’t busy that busy, except there was a bit of waiting at the bigger rides. i spent a last day with my bf here before going on a 3 month long trip overseas and was some of the best fun i had in months. the only thing is that it’s fairly far out to a lot of places, being in whittlesea, tickets are also somewhat pricey

When we went there it was temporarily closed because 17 schools were there but other than that it was pretty cool. Would love to come back here again. And the food was served was pretty delicious

We were meant to celebrate my son’s birthday at the park last weekend, but unfortunately the weather had other plans. I just wanted to share how impressed I was with the team for making the call to cancel the day before, it was thoughtful, proactive and really appreciated. Zac was so lovely on the phone and very professional. We’ve been to Funfields are few times over the years and can’t wait to re-book my son’s party and get back there when the weather is better. The new addition of the Lazy River, bumper cars and VIP Huts really add a whole new dimension to this park ! The Huts are well worth the extra money - it felt so private and comfortable with lounges and even a fridge to keep the drinks cold ! The shade and the location really do make them priceless. Kids can’t wait to go back again 🥰

Wine tasting and lunch at Yering Station was one of the highlights of our Melbourne trip. I was delighted to try some delicious red wines and enjoy a wonderful lunch there. The beautiful surroundings, elegant décor, and friendly staff make it an outstanding restaurant and winery. Highly recommend.

I was really excited for this one. We went for the wine tasting on a beautiful sunny day, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the tasting itself takes place indoors in a fairly dim room with very little natural light, which felt like a real shame. With such gorgeous surroundings outside, it seemed like a missed opportunity to create something special. During the tasting, four different staff members poured for us. Three of them asked what we had already been served, which made the whole experience feel a bit disorganized and not as smooth or welcoming as I was hoping for. The wine pours also felt quite small -more like a sip than a proper tasting- and I think most people would agree after seeing the photo I’ve attached. Inside, the décor follows a pop-art theme with Andy Warhol replicas. Normally, I appreciate that style, but here it felt completely unrelated to wine, wine tasting, or the heritage of the vineyard. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it actually worked against the rustic, old-world vibe that the place itself naturally carries. That said, the outdoor area is stunning. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful grassy area out front and a lovely lookout point that really makes you stop and take it in. It honestly left me thinking how perfect it would be if the wine tasting were moved outdoors, perhaps with a small kiosk or bar set up in the middle of the lawn. With the sunshine, scenery, and a glass in hand, that would transform the experience into something unforgettable.

You can't fault much here. The service, food and atmosphere is exceptional. However, there was a fault in the steak option that I paid extra for on top of what my parents had already paid for a 3-course meal. It might not seem like a big deal, but since I asked specifically for "true medium rare", not medium, which it ended up exactly being on my plate, that was disappointing, being such a high quality piece of meat. Other than that, it was an amazing lunch, and had me bursting at the seams. I could have just had the pork belly entree and pistachio dessert and been satisfied.

Had a great meal at Yering station. Great service beautiful views great menu and flavours. Everyone enjoyed every dish. Loved my prawn entree. The fish main was perfect. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Front of house Trixie was very professional. Wines were great. Deserts were delicious. Highly recommend will def return.

We had a very odd and dissapointing experience at the restaurant. We had booked lunch using a luxury escape voucher which included a main, choice of wine and two shared sides. The only positive was how well cooked the meats were and how tasty the wine was. Other than that, our experience was very strange. The strangest part or our experience was the use of potato off cuts in our roasted potato side - see picture below. I have never before seen potato fondant off cuts and bits of potato eye served to guests. It's really incomprehensible and unappetising. We ended up leaving the potato dish. The salad was also quite terrible - it literally looked like a Coles pre chopped salad mix that was topped with a few sprigs of dill and some goats cheese. The leaves were barely dressed and very plain tasting. Onto the main meals, which ended up being quite odd as well. The cuts of meat were very tasty and well seasoned. The biggest negative was the random pastry basket served with the pork and holding chopped apple. The basket was pale, undercooked and soggy. It didn't really add anything to the dish. The duck dish was also a bit odd with an undercooked cannelloni filled with pulled duck and cabbage. This was bland and underseasoned also. While both dishes looked pretty, they left much to be desired and not worth the cost or effort. Overall, we would not be back and we wouldn't recommend to others. There are much better choices in the Yarra Valley (and much better luxury escape deals as well). Be warned.

Beautiful Vinyard with celler door and restaurant. Simple elegant feels with vase space. We went to cellar door to get a cheese platter and a glass of wine as we arrived too early for our lunch booking. There are a small number of outside table for you to enjoy the cheese board and wine and it was super delicious. The celler door staff was super friendly and professional, compared to my recent visit to Pt.Leo celler door where staff would just ignored you. We then moved to the restaurant after we finished the cheese board. Lovely open space in the restaurant area with glass wall from floor to ceiling open to the landscape! I was going to do the 3 courses and finish with dessert to share with my partner but the food size was really substantial I was way too full and couldn't even finish my fish main. 😞 My entree of scallops with bacon was so good, a little too much of pumpkin. The barramundi with eels mashed was very tasty as well, but also feel like there are too many things on the plates. Overall I enjoyed my food. My husband entree was great but the main is a little bland. Definitely recommend the cellar door for wine tasting and cheese platter for chill out outdoor on a good sunny day 😎🌞

Awesome fun. My son and I loved it. The staff were very patient to encourage my son to finally step of the edge of the tree top and down the zip line. It’s a huge step for him overcoming a fear of heights.

Awesome place for a school camp or group camp if you want to bring people closer together. I had such a great time and challenged myself in many differnet ways. Thanks to Ben, Alex, James, Liam, Ewan, Biz and all the kitchen staff for planning and preparing everything and for making things run smoothly even thought the weather did not want to cooperate. It really was an amazing camp and I hope to go back there some time in the future.

The team was 10/10 - had so much fun, learnt a lot about myself and my colleagues on a work trip! The kitchen staff made food that was faultless!!! Had the most amazing day today. Staff so friendly and helpful - patient with my fear of heights so that I was able to successfully accomplish some high rope activities. Did a bike course which was fun and the surrounding bush is a beautiful environment to be in. Grabbed an electric bike later to try and tackle some big hills! Great day!

What a great experience! We stopped by for a tasting, and the lovely lady who served us was so knowledgeable and friendly, walking us through everything. The wine is absolutely delicious, so moreish, and very reasonably priced for the quality. We loved that you can also buy by the glass, grab a platter, and sit outside to enjoy the beautiful grounds. The excellent service definitely made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Best winery that I have visited so far in terms of wine tasting at the cellar door, food at restaurant and customer service. We had a visit last week in a group of 4 plus a dog. Lady at the cellar door was very knowledgable and generous, we were offered even more than 4 wines to taste which is what you would usually get there when doing wine tasting. Food upstairs was excellent, fresh, tasty and very well presented. Gentleman at the restaurant was also very friendly and welcoming with good knowledge around both food and wines they had on the menu. We had the best time at this place sitting outside with our dog pouring wine and enjoying deliciuos food. We hope good service continus and we will definitely go back for more visits and have already introduced this winery to couple of friends.

Came for a wine tasting with 6 people. Jonothan from France looked after us. He was excellent very informative and read the room well. We all were really happy with our purchases. Loved the desert wines. The Estate Gamay was a favourite with our group. Will def return and highly recommend.

The place is beautiful. Did not go during the peak season, but place is beautiful and they had wine tasting open for all. I did not taste the wine because I was driving but according to my mother, it was nice!

Four Pillars Gin was not even in our original plan, but we were already in the mood after champagne and wine stops, so I thought, why not complete the circle with some gin? I am not exactly a gin person, but I have to say, this stop made me rethink that a little. The gin was great, yes, but can we talk about the duck pate? I had it after a full cheese fondue lunch at Chandon, and still managed to finish the entire jar by myself. It was creamy, flavourful and went so well with their crackers. Honestly, I would go back just for that pate. For the drinks, I ordered the gin tasting set which came with four different types of gin, served with tonic water on the side so you could mix to your liking. I got to try a few variations, but the one that really stood out for me was the Shiraz Gin. It had a nice depth and smoothness that I did not expect. Easy to drink and very well balanced. The place itself has a cool industrial chic vibe, very open and relaxed. Staff were friendly and made the tasting experience fun without being too formal. It did not feel rushed and we got to enjoy everything at our own pace. If you are in the area, even if you are not a gin lover, I say give it a try. You might leave with a new favourite and definitely with a full stomach.

Popped in on Friday around 5 p.m. and the place was absolutely buzzing. Happy hour kicked off at 6 with great drink specials, amazing cocktails, and a full house. The yuzu gin was incredible and the yuzu sour cocktail was even better. The staff were fun and friendly, and the whole place had a great energy. They also run a happy hour dinner on Friday nights, which looked awesome. Definitely the spot to be and probably my number one pick when visiting Healesville.

I had no idea that Four Pillars Gin originated in Melbourne! We stopped by after visiting the Redwood Forest to do a gin tasting and ended up learning a lot about the gin-making process. It was fascinating to discover how different spices are infused to create unique flavours. We also got to rate several distinct gin varieties and try some cocktails made with their different gins — each with fruity, coffee, chocolate, or smoky notes. The experience was really enjoyable, easy to access, and they even offer a membership with some great deals.

A nice place for an afternoon chill with friends or family over gin and some bar food. A small distillery to see the making of the Four Pillar gins. They have a small restaurant that let u taste their gin and cocktails (the cocktail flight is a must), and enjoy some finger food/ snacks. There is also a small shop to buy some merchandise and of course their famous gin to bring home.

Had an explosion of flavour for lunch before completing a gin tasting of 7 of Four Pillars finest Gins. The whole experience was absolutely amazing thanks to a charismatic young gentlemen by the name of Cooper. He educated us about all the traditional spices and infusions in gin making and what sets Four Pillars aside from the rest. His passion and love for what he does, along with his endless knowledge made for a wonderful gin filled afternoon. Cannot recommend Four Pillars highly enough for a visit for foodies and gin lovers. Simply a MUST when in Healesville hopefully you will be lucky enough to meet Cooper the legend himself. Four Pillars also have a nonalcoholic range which is also in a league of its own compared to other nonalcoholic spirits. Full of flavour and just as delicious.

My wife took me to Four Pillars for my 35th birthday and I have now fallen in love with Gin thanks to them 😍 Amazing place. Was served by David who gave us a wonderful experience with so many smiles, stories, and samples. Every Gin I tired was beauitful. Strongly recommend visiting the distillery. I'll be back soon I know it. Shop at the front is well stocked and very good prices.

This place was fun. Well worth the drive and if you’re a gin lover like me, it’s a must try. We had the G&T paddle and discovered a new gin, olive leaf, which is scrumptious so I’ll be going back and getting a couple more bottles. The snacks were good too. We had the fries and a tiramisu dip…so so good.

A great display providing details and insights on the Vietnam War, a number of military items on display, worth a stop to visit and read all the panels of information.

A nice walk in the nature, there’s lots of trees and park benches. The walk looks quite new especially the bins, benches, and water tap. There’s lots of information to read up on the history of Australia’s participation in the Vietnam war. You can take the time to remember the lives and efforts of all the people and dogs who fought in the war. There’s many in depth explanations of Australia’s operations in Vietnam, and there are ranks and military weapons displayed.

My usual first stop in any regional town which has an info centre. Almost all have knowledgeable & super helpful, friendly staff. But not this one. The elderly lady had a supercilious unpersonable attitude & just waved towards the brochures display stating "you will find it there". I did not really - as I all I wanted to know was what I could do for just an overnight stay. Google came to my aid later. My 4 stars is for this lovely centre with its interesting & well presented exhibits. The Man from Snowy River memorabilia is excellent & a surprise find. Everything else makes this a mini pseudo art gallery cum museum worth a stop as you enter the township from Bonnie Doon direction. The Great Rail bike & walking Trail passes through 100 metres away & historical society is a stone's throw neaeby. Plenty of parking available.

The start (or end) of the great rail trail. The toilets here are a welcome sight at the end of a long ride. The information service is excellent and will tell you all about what you can do in the area.

An Aboriginal art gallery has opened at the Information Centre featuring the works of Jack Macale. Beautiful art set in an intimate space. It will be a permanent feature with new exhibitions opening every few months. The staff at the centre are very friendly and helpful. A new exhibition has been hung featuring Lockhart River Arts artists Evelyn Omenyo and Patrick Butcher Jnr. Evelyn is an elder "Old Girl" who also produces jewellery and baskets and Patrick is an esteemed "Art Gang" member. Both have an international standing. The summer Exhibition features artists from the Nuukurr community from Eastern Arnhem Land.

My family and I were heading to the snow and need to stop by somewhere for a quick lunch. We end up here and I was surprised by how amazing the pizza was. Beer was good to. Only down side I would say is the food selection is pizza and pizza only.

Our first trip to Mansfield and BIG craft brewery fans, we didn't miss the opportunity to pay a visit to Social Bandit. Situated a 5 minute drive outside of town, we may well have walked had it not being pouring with rain. Arriving at 7pm, we were the only two people for a while until 3 other couples arrived. Beer was good as was the music selection which kept us entertained with guessing the band names and year. Food selection was limited with the usual offerings for craft breweries of wood fired pizza, but was tasty enough. Closing at 9pm, we spent a pleasant enough 2 hours.

Stumbled upon this gem on our way back from the snow, not wanting to battle the crowds at the local town pubs. Such a great environment, great staff and proprietor, and having craft beers to suit a variety of tastes and seasons and displaying the product and method is a nice touch. The playlist was fire, too!

Unlike a rather dreary neighboring brewery, the gentlemen bandits are happy to oblige with a tasting flight. Beers are highly drinkable, staff are knowledgeable and the pretzels are perfect. Very much worth a visit.

Nice places for a couple or family get-together. Warm, fresh and delicious pizzas and quick service.

It's lovely sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine and nibbles and looking out over the valley. They have set up chairs and umbrellas on the lawn for couples all also looking out at the view. There are tasting platters of wine where you can taste 3 different types for $10, which is a good idea if you can't decide. You can do the normal wine tasting for free. Numerous dips and the breads are home made and quite good. Friendly attentive staff.

Nice try. Lovely venue but food very ordinary and overpriced. Lasagna and Fettucini for $45? Seriously? Anyone can cook that. Their knowledge of the wines was hopelessly inadequate. Despite charging $20 for a tasting flight but not providing any information. Had to ask to read the back label! Won’t be recommending or going back.

Amazing setting in the Dookie hills. Our groups shared a number of plates and drinks. All were good other than the shared plate. $48 for a handful of nuts, bland dip, average cheese and some cheap crackers was ridiculous. Shouldn't have been more than $28 for what was on it. Highly recommend going as staff, the setting and majority of the food are great but I'd be avoiding the shared plate at all costs...

We have been meaning to visit Tallis for quite a while... we should have come years ago. Tallis’ food, service and ambience is beyond compare. A beautiful location to eat a casual, unpretentious lunch. Glorious ham hock soup, 6 for $6 sausage rolls and delicious apple cake were delivered by extremely efficient and friendly Mieka. Soft background music, great red wine and beautiful views meld into an unforgettable experience. Tallis is good for the soul. Thank you so much.

Did not expect a smaller regional art gallery to have a varied & great selection of Australian artworks. Free entry! The recent Heide group featuring Sidney Nolan Ned Kelly series & Albert Tucker was really good as was the fire themed artworks by other artists. The older Heidelbeg impressionist paintings in the other smaller space at the back was also excellent. Plenty of free parking at main open entrance on Midland Highway. Google did not get this right & I parked further out. Enjoyed our lunch at the onsite Cafe with picturesque lake views & the single jet fountain. Clean toilets inside. Lovely location within the Benalla Botanical Gardens. The garden is not very big but you can do a circuit lake walk to get a good workout. Weary Dunlop sculpture is located here & there is a mini rose garden with some late summer blooms. A great place to stop, chill & stretch our legs for a few hours on our way to Glenrowan & then Beechworth - driving north from Melbourne.

A small-ish but modern and pleasant art gallery with 2 exhibition spaces. There is a cafe at the entrance. Interesting architecture with triangular windows above and large windows offering vistas of the bridge, river and gardens. Free entry. Ramp entrance - but can be slippery in wet weather. Car parking close by. A good place to visit on damp days..

This gallery is wonderful. It’s very well run. There’s always good works on show and interesting exhibitions. We’ve been here three times and loved it each time. The Julie Shiels Exhibition here today was just delightful. Really entertaining. Really clever. Note, the cafe attached to the gallery is tremendous too. It’s a must do for a meal or snack and a coffee.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, on the grand final long weekend, with no booking. After some wine tasting with John we were seated at an amazing table overlooking the winery. When my parents said they wanted to go to Chrismont's to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary - we all said sure. We didn’t stay at Chrismont Winery. We only had an impromptu lunch at Chrismont Restaurant with friends. Food was amazing and service was even better!! The Chrismont owners have so much passion. Highly recommend everyone to dine there BUT must book!!! The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning!! We hope to go back there soon.

What an absolutely delightful afternoon! High tea at Pizzini Winery was a delight from both a culinary and social perspective. Beautiful surroundings, friendly, attentive, and welcoming staff, delicious food, and beautiful wines. Dietary restrictions were not an issue; they just need prior notice. If you are in the King Valley do yourself a favour and check out Pizzini Wines and the different experiences they offer.

Always have a fantastic experience here. The wines are excellent with a wide range to suit all tastes and budgets. Staff are so friendly and helpful, there's a genuine family feel to the winery. The setting is beautiful too. An excellent quick stop on your road trip or longer visit if you're staying in the area.

Pizzini wines were great, providing a nice introduction to the Italian wines the region produces. We went during winter and Pizzini were one of the few places open on the weekday we went. Special shout out to Giacomo, our amazing sommelier, who happily answered all our questions - sharing his expertise from his extensive study and practical experience, whilst talking us through the tasting. Really great spot, highly recommend Pizzini wines if you visit King Valley.

Our second stop at the King Valley region was at Pizini Wines ~ Italian at heart inspired where we were warmly greeted by Karen; Mario and Isabelle. Seated in such a warm and welcoming environment, Isabelle presented us with some tasters olives; caramel popcorn; chilli popcorn and bread sticks and presented us with the wine tasting experience!! Isabelle was extremely pleasant, accomodating and provided alternatives for the individual pallet . We enjoyed hearing about the growth of the Pizzini family, their passion and commitments to their winemaking dream. The surroundings were nice to. We were lucky to also have a friendly chat with owner Fred and hear about his experience and innovative ways of continuing business during the pandemic. We truly enjoyed our experience at pizzini. Purchased a few bottles of wine at the end and couldn’t resist buying the caramel popcorn + chilli popcorn ~ thanks for the lovely hospitality and looking forward to returning and trying out the cooking school.

The place is easy to find, very interesting and filled with memorabilia from head to toe. The outside is decorated with hand painted portraits. Prices are reasonable considering what you get to experience. We went on a rainy day and had no one else in there with us. Its incredibly entertaining and informative. Highly interactive with lots of thing to see and hear. Atmosphere is awesome and super emersive. The guy running the place is also incredibly friendly and helpful. Would seriously recommend.

We had a history lesson here, staff are fantastic, you are well informed on all of Ned Kelly & other key individuals in Ned's capture , trail, site inspections . There is plenty of memorabilia throughout the town and paraphernalia for sale, t shirts, stubby coolers etc. We spent roughly 2 hours here but are returning on our return from Great Ocean Road Trip. There are Food Shops in the town & staff and locals appear freindly , food was served quick & hot & plenty of places to sit around or park & enjoy.

As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love working at Brown Brothers Winery! I've had the privilege of photographing weddings here in all weather conditions - from intimate small ceremonies to big celebrations - and each and everyone has been absolutely breathtaking. What makes this venue truly special is that you can feel that warmth and passion in everything they do. Everyone always goes above and beyond - they're genuinely passionate about good food, excellent wine, and creating one heck of a celebration! This venue truly shines no matter what. Rain or shine, I can always find the perfect backdrop, and the surroundings are always beautifully maintained. Their attention to detail and genuine care for each couple is incredible. You can tell they truly love what they do, and that passion makes every wedding feel so special. We absolutely adored our visit to Brown Brothers planned by Sarah who put together a wonderful itinerary for us! The setting is beautiful and the cellar door is so inviting with the open fire, historical displays, and use of wine barrels to decorate the space. We had the most amazing tasting & tour experience at the cellar door hosted by Jacob who was fabulous at teaching us all about the different wines and how they’re made in a way that was fun, informative, and relatable as someone who enjoys wine but isn’t overly knowledgeable on the subject. He tailored the tasting to our individual preferences and there wasn’t one I didn’t like. We ended up buying many bottles both for ourselves and as gifts after discovering some new favourites. We also had the 5 course degustation lunch in the winery restaurant which was spectacular. Each course consisted of multiple elements that worked in perfect harmony and were utterly delicious, especially when paired with the matching wines. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive throughout. Overall I would highly recommend visiting even if it just for a tasting, but definitely check out the range of extra experiences they offer too, there’s definitely more we plan to do too. We’re already planning a return visit for next year as we loved the Milawa region and this winery was definitely the highlight of our trip.

We had a wonderful experience with Milawa Luxe Escape, a collaboration of Brown Brothers and Church Lane Accommodation this weekend. The Church Lane Accommodation was beautiful, quiet and private. At Brown Brothers, we were served the Slow Lunch by Henry and it was such a wholesome experience. We do a lot of rushed meals, so having a slow lunch with beautifully complimenting wines got us to relish the efforts involved. The cheese, cured meats and the accompaniments we received to take with us was lovely too. We brought the 2 matching wines before heading back. The next day we had a slow start, enjoying the Church Lane Accommodation, before going to the Wine Tour and Taste at Brown Brothers’. Rosa was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable in guiding us through our tasting, with great placement to help us take better note of the differences and enjoying the complexities of well made wine. We purchased more wine that we selected from the tasting, that we wanted to share with friends and family. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our weekend in Milawa, Brown Brothers collaboration with Church Lane Accommodation - Luxe Escape. We are especially grateful to the people that made our experience wonderful - Sam, Colin, Henry and Rosa.

We visited here during a nice little day out and had the degustation for lunch, it was a really nice experience and the winery is very pretty, especially with great weather like we had on our visit. The two staff members ( 1 male & 1 female ) who took care of our table were very lovely and accommodating and we received a lovely gift for a recent special occasion which was a very kind finish to our lunch. I really appreciated the extra effort put into accommodating for my nut allergy, I was served my own servings seperate to the others which made me feel very comfortable and safe. Lovely place to visit.

I have had the best day. My birthday and i felt so special. Brown Bros Milawa has always been a favoured destination for me but today, the best. The staff, the food, the wine...nothing was wrong. Everything was ideal: good food, good wine and great service. Service staff are what sells a venue and the staff here today were so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. My kind of people. I liked every bit of of the menu and recommend them to everybody. Cheers and thanks for helping to make my day so special.

Pretty little cafe with a cheese shop next door offering free cheese tasting. However the brie we bought was already moldy and the other one was nothing like what was offered at the tasting. Spent $15 for a small slice of brie that went straight into the bin. Reading other reviews it would seem that people have a similar experience with out of date cheese. Very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone!

There’s a bakery, a cheese shop, and a restaurant here. You can sit outside on the lawn under the trees, and the shop provides picnic mats for customers who purchase something. Just watch out for the shop’s cats sneaking through the door! The cheese shop offers tastings in the morning, around 9:00–10:30 AM, with more than 10 varieties to try. I especially liked the buffalo milk cheese and the King Rover Gold Cheese, which are the shop’s specialties. They’re soft, mildly salty, and have a lovely smoky aroma.

So many cheeses, lots of cheese related items, chutneys, preserves and pickles. We had a free cheese tasting, the staff were so very friendly and entertaining. Very knowledgeable about the cheese too. Thank-you for a lovely experience. My two favourite cheeses of the few we purchased were the Cooper and the David Brown.

Unfortunately, the King River Gold cheese we purchased was a huge let-down — mold was clearly visible on many parts of it, it had a strong unpleasant smell, and the surface was slimy. Straight into the bin it went, along with the $15 we paid for it. Judging by other reviews, this isn’t an isolated case, with many mentioning out-of-date products. Very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone

After trying their cheeses at the Pinot X Mold festival this year, when we saw the sign for the factory whilst driving down the Hume, we had to stop in. This place is dangerous as all their cheeses are delicious and we ended up spending an ungodly amount on cheese. The cafe seems like a great place to go with a group on the weekend.

Cheeses Christ this place is heavenly. We had a cheese tasting and our cheese guide Anna blew us away sampling the 12 cheese varieties on offer. We purchased a bag full of amazing Aussie cheeses and now die happy having tasted these delights.

We stopped here on our way to Leeton. We talked to Helen about where to go for bird watching and received lots of information. Helen was so friendly and helpful. The cafe at the information center is also a great find. Fantastic food and friendly staff, also not as crowded as some other places. I don’t think people know it is here. This is a place to stop if you are coming to Yarrawonga or even just passing through.

Cannot speak highly enough of Helen and her staff who bent over backwards for us when our booked accommodation had not been serviced on our arrival. Helen did her utmost for us and made sure the property was cleaned a.s.a.p. She also gave us lots of information on attractions in the region. Thanks heaps Helen

We had an amazing night. The crew were friendly, accomodating and efficient. The actual tour was pleasurable and relaxing from beginning to end. We saw the magnificent sunset glistening on the water and enjoyed the informative commentary along the way by the knowledgable captain. The meal was beautiful and very well executed. There was a choice of grilled chicken or steak in addition to a few types of salad. You choose the quantity. We were impressed at how efficient the catering team were. Everyone got served quickly and they cleaned up just as fast. The toilets are accessible and clean and it’s easy to get on and off the boat. I also recommend this cruise for people who are elderly or have a disability. I can’t fault the cruise at all. They did a perfect job.

Nice and sunny Sunday enjoyed the trip thoroughly. Very interesting, informative and humorous commentary delivered by Travis. Lunch was on offer but we opted out and can't comment on it. Travis was very friendly. Definitely recommend everyone visiting Yarrawonga to take this trip which is very reasonably priced.

This is one of my favourite while I visit mulwala. You can see all the beauty of the mulwala throughout this cruise with perfectly cooked lunch. Highly recommended.

The crew at MV Paradise Queen, including the driver Travis, were extremely friendly and nice and the Australia Day Eve cruise that my girlfriend and myself went on was exceptionally good. The finger food was very well done and the beverages available were very good also. It was really relaxing while we went around the bay for four hours and we saw the sun go down in the beautiful sunset which was incredible. For the price that we paid and the services that we got for that price, it was definitely well worth it and would definitely do it again next time!!

OMG. You have to do this if you are anywhere nearby. Chanced upon this on our last day of stay at Cobram and we may have just missed one of the coolest attractions of this place. Travis and his team were extremely courteous in looking after the Guests. Plenty of finger food went around all through the evening. Travis knew the lake waters like the back of his palm and took us around to places which kept us spell bound.

Travis and the team are just great. Excellent hospitality and very friendly team. The views and the weather is just amazing to visit in summer. Lots of local knowledge and highly recommended for anyone . Absolute value for money. We did the sunset dinner cruise and the steak and chicken with salad and serves were pretty generous.

Beautiful lake, went in a rainy day though enjoyed alot. Lake has a spot for swimming, have two kids play areas, nice walk along the lake. I believe in summer they do alot of activities there as saw many boards stating about different activities

the whole historic zone in Beechworth is amazing ..courthouse ...telegraph station .. gold wardens house ...gold office ..along with the old gaol absolutely amazing must see when in the Beechworth area ...all dating back to 1850s to 1860s build during the Beechworth Gold rush period

We did the courthouse guided tour. It was worth the small fee, lots of interesting information and you could look at how courts were conducted during the 19th century. It's a beautiful old building and well worth preserving, it's our history.

A town packed with historic buildings and Ned Kelly history. Great forest parks. Not to be missed

Excellent, informative and balanced view of Ned's story within the context of the regional Victorian court system of the time. Three projectors display the story hugely magnified across the interior courtroom walls so you can truly be immersed in the history of the court building. Side rooms include the judge's chamber (where you can try on legal wigs and robes) and a magnificent law library full of ancient volumes. Very informative and helpful guide Mal answered all my questions and was very well-versed on the subject. A must for fans of Beechworth, legal and goldfields era history!

If you want experience the deeper history of Beechworth, then the Court house is a great place to start. Beechworth has an amazing number of little places you can take the kids or yourself to go and have a visit to learn about Beechworth. The court House is of course famous for its association with Ned Kelly, but it also is an amazing place to come and see a historic building, built in 1958 and was a working courthouse right up to 1989, this courthouse has been an interesting and integral part of the community just as much as the Beechworth Goal Has. I love how you can almost access nearly every room of the courthouse minus the lady's balcony and a storeroom. But the Library happened to be our favourite room, it was filled with old law books and just had that nostalgic feel about it, the kids loved the library and the holding cells. (They used to have an audio spill that used to play but that feature was not there anymore. It did make for a great way to experience the court room.) The kids love being able to explore and sit where the judge and lawyers would sit and they did a little court play of their own. It was cheap to get in costing us a family of 6 $10. you could pay a bit extra for a guided tour which would probably have been great. There were souvenirs you could purchase for reasonable prices. Accessibility: The courthouse is wheelchair friendly, and you can access most of the courthouse bar the cells I believe. The staff are welcoming and encourage all to come and take part in the history of Beechworth. Great place for kids and anyone to come and visit.

This place is fantastic! Cheap to visit. The court house is in original condition as it was on the last day is was used. Lots of interesting information to read. Ned Kellys trial began here in August 1880 before it was transferred to Melbourne. Don’t forget to go around the rear of the building where one of the old stable buildings still stand. Also the old stone lock up with would be terrible to be locked up in. The whole area is so interesting and next door is the telegraph office to visit as well.

Had an awesome time at the Old Beechworth Gaol tour! Graham was a great guide and really knew his stuff/made it super interesting. Loved the Kelly family stories, but also learned heaps about the gaol’s history. Wish there was an opportunity to keep looking after the tour.

We took the kids to the Beechworth Gaol during the school holidays. The tour was well priced and it was easy to book online. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of the questions from the group. We highly recommend the tour for all ages. It's a great part of the local history.

fantastic old goal...guided tours run almost every hour and is the only way to checkout the inside of the prison something to remember ...first tour at 10am .. HM Prison Beechworth was built on the site of Beechworth's first stockade. It was designed by Victoria's Public Works Department and constructed using local granite that was quarried with prison labour... Beechworth was one of nine panopticon prisons built in Victoria. Construction began in 1857 and the prison opened in 1860, though was incomplete and only had single cells for 36 prisoners. The capacity doubled when the building was completed in 1864. Beechworth initially housed male and female prisoners. Female prisoners were assigned washing and needlework for government departments. Between 1865 and 1881, eight executions were carried out at the prison.Ned Kelly served six months at the prison in 1870-71 for assault. He was again held there during his committal trial for murder in 1880. Kelly's mother, Ellen and two associates of the Kelly family also served sentences at the prison the late 1870s for the attempted murder of Constable Alexander Fitzpatrick. Twenty suspected sympathisers of Kelly were held in 1879 in an attempt to limit support to the Kelly gang. The prison's iron gates were installed due to fears there may be attempts to break the sympathisers out of the prison.

What a great tour! Very informative and fascinating to know the history. Our guide Peter was fantastic. I could have listened to him talk for hours. If only those walls could talk, we’d know so much more. Definitely a place worth visiting when coming to Beechworth!

Love the hands-on experience of visiting the jail 💗 was a bit cold so we got some food at the cafe and got a very informative book about the prison’s history from the cafe too 📚Love it, will definitely come back next year!!!

The tour guide was awesome, knew his stuff and history and loved telling the story. Gail only closed in the early 2000s so some infamous people looked up here. Kelly History deep with his Mum locked up for a few years.

Beechworth Gaol had not only the Kelly & gang incarcerated here but also Kelly's mentor & tutor - the "gentlemen" Bushranger Harry Power. Somehow Harry Power's tales are subsumed by Ned Kelly's but it is just as interesting. Other inmates here included a whole bunch of modern day tax evaders & Melbourne's infamous underbelly crims. The newer additions include the conjugal visits area in the gaolers yard as you make your way inside on the right & a swimming pool area - gated off on the left. I expected the Gaol to be bigger but it is small with about 110 to 123 inmates capacity. There is the heritage Kelly era wing, the newer ones plus the Hangman's room & the Noose. A group of us - pre-purchased online tix for the 10 am tour Sun 23 Feb recently. A huge crowd of almost 40. The next tour only had a handful - so perhaps this is a better timeslot. Free parking in front of entry gates & also side street. There is a Cafe Truck in the entry yard too & a nice reception re-purposed area & toilets inside before tour starts. Tour ran for 45 mins & Guide thankfully used audio speaker. Typical Oz humour delivered with full on ocker tones- which you wonder if overseas visitors understood. Exercise yard - with the metal mirror (you will find out why) is also the site of 1800s hard labour (breaking granite & carting it), the chain gang tales all made for the grim reality not only the gold rush lawless period but also the 20th century penitentiary system. You get more of the blood & gore penitentiary stories under the pentagonal wooden roofed & similar shaped guard room inside. The replica Kelly gang armour suite is lined up here (by this time it is an oft repeated sight for us having started the Kelly trail at Glenrowan.). For dedicated Ned Kelly & Harry Power stories - do the Ned Kelly Trail tour run by the Visitor's Centre. Beats me how the confined cells & dire deeds of yore can be re-purposed into arts, entertainment & hospitality...Takes it beyond the "dark" tourism into the 21st century enlightenment I suppose. One way of maintaining historical sites like this for future generations but the essence of harsh reality of colonial past would be lost surely. Whatever works to make it a viable site. Pentridge Prison is already a popular re-purposed hub but ..er..rrr..rr - it ain't for me.

Great place to dip your toe into the water. Easy walk from the carpark.

With the visit when exploring the area. Beautiful views of the falls from the lookout point! Nice picnic area with WCs available. Due to injury we couldn’t explore as much as we would have liked, but there were lots of people walking around the rocks and falls below.

Easy walk to the fall from the parking. The view is spectacular and the breeze makes the heat go away. The rocks underneath the water are slippery but with proper shoes it is not too dangerous. A good destination for a day trip, with friends and family or solo trip.

Excellent wines, excellent staff and service and wonderful grounds. We stumbled across this winery and decided to visit based on the great reviews. Safe to say it didn’t disappoint and we will definitely be back. The cheese boards also looked amazing!!!

Visited Cambells Wines and had an unforgettable experience. The main highlight, of course, was their outstanding wine — an incredible selection, especially the reds, full of richness and character. We also enjoyed a beautifully prepared cheese and meat platter, rich in variety and flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with warm and professional service. A truly special place for wine lovers!

Very good winery. Wide range of wines to taste and sample. Good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Chairs and tables around the place. Good sized car park. Prices were quite reasonable. Well worth a visit.

Campbell's Wines is set in stunning gardens on the edge of Rutherglen. The cellar door offers complimentary tastings, a wine club, and local produce. Blended wines represent something unique. For an earthy experience meander through the barrels or sit by the fireplace in Winter.

We had a lovely friendly young lady service us . Very helpful and a nice experience on Sunday. Beautiful gardens and buildings.

Great family owned winery, with interesting selection of wines. Muscats were superb. A stroll amongst the any wine barrels was a wondrous experience.

Always such a pleasure to visit Scion wines. Staff are always so friendly and all wines are delicious! Especially love the daylight red for a perfect picnic wine, or just because… After dark is also a favourite along with the Muscat X. If you are in the area, this winery is a must visit.

We had tried Scion Rose and loved it so much that when we were in Rutherglen, we knew we had to visit the cellar door! We had a great experience with the wine tasting and came home with a few new wines to try. Amazing wines, beautiful cellar door and friendly, knowledgeable staff, its win, win, win! What a beuatiful vineyard! Had a excellent and lovely tasting for $10 with the hostess Sally. It's a small family run business and their passion for their wines is something you really can taste. Very knowledgeable people. Would love to come back!

Our impromptu visit to this beautiful winery and cellar door was a delight. Our hostess Kara was lovely and informatics despite it being only her second day. She guided us through a great selection of wines that had our palettes dancing with great flavours and character. Fabulous wines in a wonderful setting. Free freight on our six bottles was a bonus.

Georgie was knowledgeable, passionate and a gentle presence for our tasting. It’s clear she knows the unique nature of the Scion story and she is a great representation of the winery. Syrah was the standout & M Town a very fun surprise! Couldn’t recommend more!
