Lake Cave is a subterranean natural wonder that offers group tours for visitors to explore its stunning features. Located in the Boranup Karri Forest, the cave provides a scenic drive through towering pale-skinned trees, offering opportunities to spot kangaroos and capture fairytale forest photos at Karri Lookout. For adventurous travelers, Giants Cave nearby offers a self-guided experience with vertical ladder climbs and rock scrambles.
Lake Cave is a lovely experience. It costs $75 family ticket for four. Booking can be made through the Margaret River Visitors Centre. Bookings are highly recommended, especially on weekends, public holidays, and school holidays to secure your spot. Prepare for a bit of a workout with 325 steep steps down and back up, definitely not for the unfit. Be sure to be aware of your surroundings to avoid bumping your head on the limestone formations. There are no helmets at this cave. Inside, the cave is absolutely stunning. The lighting creates a magical atmosphere that enhances the natural beauty of the formations. Our guide, Indigo, was both funny and knowledgeable, making the tour engaging and informative. Overall, a fantastic adventure that combines natural wonder with exercise. Highly recommended!
Fluffy G — Google review
We had the most wonderful time exploring Lake Cave! My family visited back in 2002 and highly recommended it to us, and we were definitely not disappointed. We arrived at 11.45am just in time to attend the 12pm tour. Ticket cost per adult was $25 and worth every cent. Our tour guide, Tiahni-Rose, was a fantastic source of knowledge, learning about the cave’s history and seeing that it’s still a very active cave was absolutely mind-blowing. The walk down (and back up) the staircase was a bit of a challenge, but the rest points along the way made it very manageable. There’s no rush, just take your time and enjoy the incredible scenery. This experience is a true gem of Australia’s natural beauty. We loved every bit of the tour and highly recommend taking the time to visit and support this amazing piece of living history.
A T — Google review
So pleased we decided to visit the Lake Caves. From the impressive entrance via a giant sinkhole to the beautiful structures inside the caves. Sophie our guide was amazing and very knowledgable. The only downside was having to climb back up the zillion stairs. However it gave you time stopping on the way up to take in the beauty of your surroundings.
David R — Google review
Lake cave was an excellent little adventure into the world below. Great descent into the cave structure via a long steep stairway. Very well explained by a very experienced guide Harry. You will not be disappointed by a stop at this attraction. Be ready for the climb back out though.
Tony H — Google review
Lake Cave is an absolute marvel and easily the most breathtaking natural wonder I've ever experienced in the Margaret River region. The descent into the cave through the towering karri forest sets an incredible, almost mystical tone, but the sight inside is truly unforgettable. The Suspended Table formation is genuinely awe-inspiring, looking as if it's floating magically just above the water. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, humorous, and passionate about the geology. If you are anywhere near Western Australia, this is a non-negotiable, must-see natural attraction.
Nathan K — Google review
This is a visual surprise. We were not expecting much but were really surprised with the formations in this little cave. The walk down is pretty difficult hence also the return but definitely worth every step. There is also a great light display near the end of the tour. Be mindful that this is not an actual lake more like a stream that flows. The tour guides were great too with plenty of local and geological information.
Eric S — Google review
Mammoth Caves was awesome. It is a self guiding tour which is very easy to navigate using headsets & a device. The only issue we found was being able to read the numbers to select on the device the dark. It was very informative & exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend doing a tour of this cave to others
Kim A — Google review
This cave is incredibly beautiful, a very special thanks to our guide Peter who was outstanding on his skills as a tour guide!! Very knowledgeable, kind and experienced, he is the one who made this tour becoming a memorable experience! Only negative point, babies allowed? I do understand including kids in the activity, but please put a restriction no kids BELOW 5YO!!! When you are in the cave listening the silence with watering drips and you end up with 3 kids below 3YO screaming and crying at the same time, sorry but this is completely ruining the experience. You NEED to put an age limit ASAP for the best of every people involved in a tour, thank you.

The beach boasts the longest coastline in the Margaret River area and is ideal for swimming due to its gentle swells. Visitors may even catch a glimpse of migrating whales passing by. What a beautiful spot. We were lucky enough to stay right by the beach and enjoy the most amazing sunsets
Nicole M — Google review
Very beautiful beach. After spending half an hour trying to get a car park.. I wanted to go to the White Elephant Cafe but there were so many people there.. it was scary. I am here during the holidays and I hope to make it back to this Cafe as I've heard the food is great ... Beach is defo worth it though 👌
Marsha W — Google review
Nice place. There's cafe, toilet and a great swimming location.
Silc — Google review
Ok beach near MR town. It’s got a lot of seaweed on the shore but ok for a little play in the water or fishing off the jetty. There is a restaurant right on the beach too but we arrived at sunset and it was closed so not sure how good it is. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here but I would go if you want to take the kids to a close calm beach for a short time. I’m guessing it’s more of a local place not a tourist stop.
Renee C — Google review
Beautiful beach for walking there’s a nice footpath behind the dunes that can take you all the way to Surfers Point and the River Mouth. At times there can be clumps of seaweed washed up and it can be a bit rocky. Your best bet is going for a dip in front of the White Elephant Cafe. Great for paddle boarding.
Adam S — Google review
This is a great spot to come for a swim or have a coffee or something to eat I found it nice and relaxing and the views are really nice there was a fair bit of seaweed on the beach but apart from that everything else looks really good you could even hire some boards to go out to me it looks really good from mwh
Michael B — Google review
While on our trip to Margaret river, we could help but stop off at gnarabup beach, for a swim 🏊‍♀️ , and our son enjoyed building sand castles . Afterwards we popped to the white elephant for a cold coffee and bite to eat. The staff where very polite but down to earth. In the harsh times where in, every was very respectful of the 1.5m COVID spacing and all using the COVID safe wa app. The food was good and the prices where reasonable. It’s got views on views that money can’t buy. I’ll definitely be returning again to both the beach & white elephant cafe

Beautiful little bay with busy cafe. Popular with morning swimmers, SUP, and great for families. Some nice snorkelling too.

Margaret River Mouth Viewpoint is a picturesque beach surrounded by hills and lush greenery, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing picnic. The area offers great surfing conditions with consistent breaks and appealing lefts on both reefs. It's also perfect for beginners, as there are surf schools nearby offering lessons. Visitors can enjoy watching the waves crashing against the shore, take a swim, or simply soak up the stunning views.
This is just amazing. The views from here are mind-boggling. A swim in the river or on the beach is just brilliant. Walking around the view points is incredible all over again. It gets pretty hot so make sure you have got a picnic or snacks and loads of water!! a hat and suncream of course!!
Jacqueline K — Google review
The Margaret River Mouth Viewpoint offers breathtaking views of where the river meets the ocean. The lookout is easy to access, and the scenery is stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. A peaceful and picturesque spot that’s perfect for photos and soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Highly recommended!
Noel P — Google review
Some amazing waves whilst we visited demonstrated what a top place this is for a surf. Probably too rough when we spotted as despite numerous signposted surf breaks no one was participating. The river mouth itself is quite a sight and a great photo spot. Plenty of parking and just great to watch Mother Nature.
Shaun L — Google review
As expected world famous waves and views, not for a beginner. Checked out on a Monday easily 50 odd Surfers out enjoying the morning swell.
Steve S — Google review
Margaret River Mouth offers stunning views that make it a worthwhile visit, especially for those who appreciate natural coastal beauty. However, be prepared for super windy conditions, bringing a thick windbreaker is essential to stay comfortable while enjoying the scenery. Whether you’re there for a peaceful walk or to take in the dramatic ocean vistas, the fresh air and landscape create a memorable experience.
Fluffy G — Google review
Nice to see where Margaret river started. We were there to see the sunset and it was beautiful. Plenty of parking.
Enoki D — Google review
Stormy weather and a week or two of rain had the river flowing well. Mesmerising watching the battle against the tide. Good amount of parking here for a wander along the beach too. You might even spot a sea eagle. 🦅 We did.

Mammoth Cave is a vast limestone cave with stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations, offering audio tours for visitors. It is one of the fascinating caves in Boranup, along with Lake Cave and Calgardup Cave, providing unique experiences such as guided and self-guided audio tours to admire the underground beauty. The cave offers an accessible walk with visually appealing formations, enhanced by an informative audio guide.
A great experience in one of the very grand limestone caves here in Australia! I can't really compare this with other caves but I really enjoyed the experience of listening to the audio guide and walking through the cave and admiring the rock formations. You don't need to spend too long here, but we spent a good hour plus here!
JK ( — Google review
What a great cave to visit! Reasonably priced for adults and children, and good value with the audio guided tour headphones you receive for the walk. In terms of hardness - not too hard to walk this one. The steps are not too overwhelming as they are in shorter flights and not too steep. The views are fantastic, with the cave being well lit as you progress. Once you exit the cave, the walk back is beautiful through the greenery and tall trees. You have a choice of a shorter walk or a longer walk, but we took the shorter as the rain was pouring! ☔️ 🌳 🌲 absolutely beautiful spot in the forest either way, as you would expect of this region. Highly recommended!
Chris W — Google review
Mammoth Cave was an awesome experience! Self-guided tour, very accessible, great walk paths throughout with a number of stairs in and out. The best part was the mega flora fossils to see, highly recommend!
Jay ( — Google review
I’ll admit I have always been a little scared of caves, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when visiting Mammoth Cave. To my surprise I absolutely loved it and the experience completely changed how I feel about being underground. The staff were excellent from the start I especially appreciated the self-guided headset tour. It was easy to follow, full of fascinating facts, and let me explore at my own pace without feeling rushed. The cave itself is breathtaking with huge chambers, stunning formations, and an atmosphere that feels both humbling and peaceful. While I was nervous at first, I quickly found myself in awe of the place rather than afraid. At the end, climbing the 160 steps back to the surface was definitely a challenge, but it was very doable with a steady pace and it felt rewarding after the tour. Overall I cannot recommend Mammoth Cave enough. Even if caves make you a little uneasy like me, the combination of excellent service, a thoughtful self-guided experience, and the sheer beauty of the cave itself makes it an unforgettable adventure.
Maddison J — Google review
Absolutely loved it. It would be awesome if you could buy a cave pass at a reduced price as an incentive to visit all the caves of your choice as it becomes a bit expensive when you're wanting to go to all of them and pay individually. But, definitely LOVED the experience.
Tamara W — Google review
We did the self-guided tour with an audio guide. Booking through GetYourGuide saved us $2.50 compared to buying a ticket directly at the entrance. Due to the lengthy introduction, the information in the audio guide about specific areas of the cave only came up after we had already passed through that section, forcing us to backtrack and review it, that's a bit annoying because the pathway is very narrow, and when there are many visitors, it is often blocked. The cave itself is impressive. It is best to visit the cave early to enjoy it undisturbed.
Peter T — Google review
A beautiful cave with lovely Cape Foundation staff. Lots of steps, but worth it. With all the Caves, if it's a weekend or a drizzly day during peak season, definitely book ahead so you don't miss out.
H K — Google review
Cool cave and good stroy on its origins... nice walk in also nice and cool in there.. the stairs out would be a bit of a punish if your older or have a disability.

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Boranup Forest Viewpoint offers a stunning drive through the majestic Karri Trees, with opportunities for beautiful walks and picnics. While the area has been affected by a recent fire, visitors can still appreciate the tall trees and serene atmosphere. The viewpoint provides a picturesque setting with views of farming land, native bush, and the ocean horizon. It also features well-maintained facilities including drop toilets and shaded picnic tables.
On the way here, I was thinking that all the tree looked the same, but when I arrived in the Viewpoint, Wow, the tree was just huge. This would be one of the place that I would visit again, just to feel the ambiance. Might spend some more time in the future here to find which is the best way to take photo of the tree.
Vincent D — Google review
Boranup Forest Viewpoint is such a magical place — perfect for a peaceful forest bath. I came here twice early in the morning and it was just perfect. The tall karri trees, soft morning light, and fresh air made it feel so calming and grounding. Hardly anyone around at that time, so it’s super quiet and serene. If you love nature and need a moment to reset, this is the spot :)
Titian R — Google review
Was attracted by their review of tall trees. Took a leisurely drive from Margaret River City center. It was just by the roadside, but there is a parking space to park the car. On both sides of the road are view of the tall trees. Did not ventured into the first as the shoes we write are not suitable for the trekking.
Thomas L — Google review
One of my favourite places in Margaret River. I've been here many times with my girlfriend and for work. I'm a photographer and taken a few couples here specifically as I think this is one of WA iconic locations. It's usually pretty quiet too and the only thing to remember is poor phone reception. There's a 2 W Boranup Forest Drive a few km down the road and it's a pretty epic spot too.
Piotrek Z — Google review
Sept 2025: The viewpoint is marked clearly with parking and camera signs, on the Caves Road, to the south of Lake Cave. You can cross the road to take a trail through the forest, but we decided to go up from the car park. Although we didn't find a way to the visible top line, it was amazing to get amongst the Karri trees and the view across the road was great. There were blossoming bushes, plus lots of Peace Lilies (growing all along that part of Caves Road), and bees collecting pollen. We could hear lots of birds - they're so difficult to spot! - although we did see a Kookaburra. Recommended at least for a stop-off to view the forest.
Dave L — Google review
I knew this place by recommendation from my hotel host. When I arrived at the Viewpoint, I was amazed; the trees were huge, and you could see large Karri trees in the heavily wooded forest. It was very peaceful.

Lovely selection of wines and enjoyed the tasting with Mario. He was so welcoming and greeting by the lovely white lady who was so tame and gentle. Bought a couple as good wines and rather support local wineries that you are not able to find their collection anywhere else apart from their own vinery. Don't miss the opportunity to visit!
Jazvina L — Google review
We made a spontaneous stop at McLeod creek as we were driving through and what a good decision. Greeted by Mario (and the lovely Kira) we were welcomed in and felt immediately at home. Mario talked us through some of the fantastic wines his family produce and explained the wonderful history of the place. Would definitely recommend you pay a visit if you are in Margaret river. Especially as you cannot get the wines in the shops.
John G — Google review
Not your typical south west winery. We were greeted at the front of the tasting shed by Kira their loud, but friendly Maremma Sheepdog. The friendly reception continued with Mario pouring our first sample before we even reached the counter. The down to earth atmosphere was a pleasant change from the usual flashy wineries that lack the personal touch. The wine range was smaller than some, but this has resulted in more effort spent on the wines they do produce. Being towards the end of our two days of winery visits, they still managed to impress us with their wines. Put this place on your itinerary - it's great the see that this type of friendly business still exists in this day & age.
D G — Google review
Excellent. Smaller, Friendlier than your usual cellar doors in the area. Glad we stopped in here - a pleasant surprise. No flashy showroom. No snobby staff. Just the owner / manager in the shed giving us a tasting & telling us about his winery.
H S — Google review
This is a cellar door you must stop at, being greeted by two very friendly and happy dogs and the owner is a really welcoming feel. Then you sit down and the tasting begins, all the while having a casual chat with the owner. I bought the McForte port and Temperanillo.
Fiona — Google review
Cute place for a casual wine tasting (in our case we tried a Rosé, two Merlots, a Port and a Tempranillo). Doesn't boast the grand views of some of the older vineyards but if you're looking for a more relaxed experience this is your place.
Natalya G — Google review
Great little place to stop by for some European style reds, look out for the friendly farm dog and the lovely owner who often runs the counter

With the arrival of chef Santiago Fernandez, the dining experience has been elevated with multi-course options showcasing local produce. The estate is committed to environmental sustainability and celebrates the Margaret River Region through its carefully crafted wines.
What a wonderful experience! Everything was delicious, and the wine pairs very well with everything they planned for a wine experience. The only thing that lacks flavor is the meat. Thank you, Lara, You took such good care of our special day. We were very happy with all your attention and kindness.
Natalia R — Google review
We had a wonderful time at Voyager Estate! The wine tasting experience was top-notch — the staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to explain each wine in detail, which made the session really enjoyable even for those of us who aren’t wine experts. The setting is beautiful too, with stunning gardens and a calm, elegant atmosphere that made the visit feel extra special. One highlight that we didn’t expect was their grape sparkling juice — it’s absolutely delicious! Perfect for non-drinkers or those wanting a refreshing alternative. We ended up bringing a few bottles home because it was just that good. Highly recommend stopping by Voyager Estate if you’re in Margaret River. Whether you’re into wine or just looking for a relaxing and refined experience, this place is definitely worth the visit.
Alice M — Google review
Chenin Blancs and Chardonnays lacked the complexity, whilst the Cabs were significantly more interesting. As a serious wine enthusiast and having paid AUD 65 for the Savour Voyager experience, I should have picked a less busy season to visit. Do not travel here on the 1st week of October, under staffed and over booked. I wish I would have enjoyed the experience more, alas it was not to be.
Julian S — Google review
We had a one-day trip in Margaret River, and Voyager Estate was one of the places we were most excited to visit — and it didn’t disappoint! We only went to three places that day, and this one truly stood out. Renzo from Argentina accommodated us for the wine tasting, and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. He explained everything so well and made the experience enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommend visiting Voyager Estate — great wines, beautiful setting, and excellent service! 🍷
Lyssa A — Google review
The estate is one of the nicest I've ever been too. There are so many options of wineries available in Margaret River and when you're driving (and not drinking) to choose one is really hard! This estate is gorgeous and they do a wine tasting (5wines for $20) but there were 3 of us and we did all 10 wines for $40 which was a bargain for the quality of wine. The staff were really knowledgeable, kind and helpful too. The wines are GORGEOUS, particularly enjoyed the Syrah. Highly recommend visiting here. They have lots of wine tasting with food packages but the counter top tasting we did was just at the counter. The only feedback I would suggest is a 'mini' cheese, bread and olive plate that can acompany counter wine tasting (more to keep you sober). We definitely would have purchased. Overall, absolutely excellent experience and beautiful wines.

Stunning location, with delicious food. We did the wine tasting and pairing, the staff were really knowledgeable and passionate about wine. Highly recommend booking the tasting, even if you don’t like wine. Was good to try out new things.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Voyager Estate. We just did a stand-up wine tasting but the server was very knowledgeable and we loved the wines! We particularly enjoyed the Chardonnay here.
Connor W — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Voyager Estate. From the moment we arrived, the place looked stunning. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the variety of flowers is amazing. Izzy took care of our tasting and she was fantastic. Some of us spoke Spanish, and she did the tasting in both English and Spanish, which made everything feel very welcoming and personal. We were also visiting with a small child, and she kindly offered him some grape juice so he could feel included — such a thoughtful detail! After the tasting, we shared a platter at the outdoor tables. The food was great and so was the wine (we especially loved the Syrah). Then we walked around the gardens, where our little one had the best time watching the ducks and playing with his ball. Overall, a truly lovely experience. Highly recommended!

An unforgettable experience at Leeuwin Estate! From the moment we arrived, Leeuwin Estate exceeded all expectations. The setting is absolutely stunning — panoramic vineyard views, beautifully landscaped grounds, and a serene atmosphere that made the whole visit feel truly special. We enjoyed a divine 3-course lunch at the restaurant, and every dish was a work of art — perfectly balanced, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A huge thank you to Marina, whose service was exceptional throughout. Warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, she made our dining experience feel seamless and genuinely welcoming. The wine, of course, was the star of the show. Each glass was a delight — elegant, complex, and a perfect match with the food. We especially loved the Estate Brut, a true standout. Leeuwin Estate offers the perfect blend of fine dining, world-class wines, and natural beauty. A must-visit if you’re in Margaret River. We can’t wait to return!

Absolutely amazing lunch — every dish was beautifully presented with creative garnishes and flavour combinations that worked perfectly. The museum wine pairing was excellent, and they even kindly split it for us since one of us was driving. The property itself is stunning and so peaceful. Easily one of the highlights of our trip!

We came pretty late in the day that what was left was the wine tasting. The service was 70/30. The male server was friendlier, took his time to explain each wine despite having to take care of another couple. The ladies behind the counter, their service etiquette should be re-checked. On a positive note, I thought their rosé was fantastic.

Returned after 19 years to celebrate my husband's birthday with the 6 course degustation lunch. We also brought a 2005 Chardonnay we'd purchased on our last visit. While the setting and food were lovely, we were disappointed by two service issues. First, we were told that there would be a corkage fee for our wine (even it was from their own vineyard). As returning customers who'd kept the bottle for nearly two decades, this felt very unwelcoming and left a 'bitter taste' particularly as we were also doing the premium wine matching. Other wineries we've visited celebrate when customers bring back aged bottles from their own production. Second, the white wines were served too cold which significantly impacted their pairing with the courses and our ability to fully appreciate their quality. For such an established winery, proper wine service should be a given. The staff were friendly, but these issues impacted what should have been a very special celebration. Just do better.

Delicious food and stunning scenery. Intimate dining space with attentive but not intrusive service. Favourite dishes would be the Margaret river Wagyu, Patagonian tooth fish and blue cheese with financier dessert 👌

Great lunch spot and I recommend taking the outdoor seatings as its a vibe! Had their seasonal menu and everything was just on-point; food, wine and service. A must-try whenever you are in Margaret River.

Cam was incredibly warm and knowledgeable, we had a super day today at the estate. The Art and Art Series tour was wonderful as was the 3 course degustatation lunch after.

Guests have praised the friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and excellent food choices including Cheeseburger pizza, Steak Sandwich & Chicken Tenders.
A beautiful Sunday lunch experience here in Cheeky Monkey. We arrived early and was happy to get to sit outdoor. Food choices were not overwhelming. You could scan and order + pay. So, we had time to look through the menu. Love it! Atmosphere was lovely. Food was great, portion was huge. Kids were happy with the play space, while the adults were enjoying good food and good view. Would definitely recommend this place to families, esp those with young kids ❤️

Delicious margherita pizza, the best I've ever had, with plenty of cheese. Crispy and tasty fries. Fair prices and a beautiful setting. Attentive staff and plenty of tables. We didn't make a reservation; we went during lunchtime on a Saturday holiday and managed to find a seat for two people.

Lunch at Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co. We dropped into Cheeky Monkey for lunch during our wander through Margaret River, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip. The setting is lively and warm, a mix of brewery charm, spacious indoor areas, and relaxed outdoor seating overlooking the dam and gardens. The food hit the mark, generous, and full of flavour, and the share plates were perfect for nibbling while tasting their beers. Speaking of which, the beer selection was excellent, crisp, balanced, and refreshing. We tried a few, and each one was well crafted. The service was friendly and relaxed, and the team clearly knew their beer and menu well. What really seals it is the vibe. It’s not overly refined or fancy, it feels like a place you can drop in any time, stay awhile, and enjoy good food, good beer, and good company. For a casual meal, a stop in between wineries, or just a fun afternoon brew, Cheeky Monkey is a go-to. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town.

10/10 pork ribs, tender, juicy, I was going in food coma. Chips great and even the salad was good! I love that they indicate which beer best match a specific dish. It took 30/40 minutes but it was full and was worth it in the end. 10/10 I’ll go there again in the near future.

We stopped in for a look and a tasting paddle early in the week and liked it so much we came back later in the week with family for lunch. Both were great days. I can see this place absolutely humming in the spring and summer, would get very busy with families as it’s pretty kid friendly. The beers were all really nice, I’m no connoisseur.. I liked them! Everyone’s meals were good too, and really decent servings. Quick service for food and drinks and the place was really clean.
Dave J — Google review
Nice beers Disappointed that we couldn't choose the beers for the tasting paddles, they are locked into their core range which you can buy anywhere and already know how they are going to taste. The 2 guys pouring could have been a little more personable especially when it was only 20 minutes into opening. Didn't have the food but what we saw looked good The $5 mystery fridge is a bit of fun for takeaways.

We have visited here numerous times for drinks because the playground is great for the kids but this was our first time eating here this weekend. I had the worst chicken parmie I have ever eaten - there were literally just huge squares of ham in the tomato sauce and the chicken also tasted bad - there were no waiters walking around to get anyone’s attention to send it back so the salad and chips ended up being my lunch. The pizza was ok and well you can’t screw up chicken nuggets and chips for the kids!

The Cheeky Monkey staff were fantastic with our large group booking 130+ people the meals came out very fast after orders were taken and were delicious. Our whole group were very impressed and agreed we will all come back next year as our experience with Erin and all the staff was top notch . Thank you Cheeky Monkey.

Brewery
Nestled in the picturesque Margaret River area, Bootleg Brewery offers a laid-back and welcoming brewery experience with a scenic setting. This family-owned establishment boasts a modern Australian style menu featuring produce from their organic kitchen garden. Visitors can savor handcrafted beers that will delight their taste buds while enjoying the beautiful view of Cape Naturaliste. The brewery is open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, making it an ideal spot for beer tasting and lunch.
After our very disappointing last visit when the previous owners ran Bootleg, we were unsure if we would be back again. But once we saw that a new owner had taken over, we decided to give it another shot. WOW are we glad we did that, great service from all the staff, great food and back to the great atmosphere again. We were lucky enough to talk to the new owner (sorry we didn't get your name) and it confirmed that we will be back again at every opportunity we get. Thank you for a great afternoon :)

Made a reservation for lunch and so glad we did as it was so busy despite being a Thursday. However it was school holidays so it was great to see the Bootleg so well patroned. Lunch was scrumptious and hubby highly recommends the Raging Bull pot pie. The chicken wings were also delicious. Staff polite, helpful and efficient despite being so busy. Great to see the oldest brewery in Margs still has so much more character than the newer, fancier breweries (still lovely) which lack the charm of this old girl!

Great Brewery under new management. I was a bit sceptical from past reviews but decided to give it a go and can’t be happier. Big, tasty portions, good price and great beer. And the spot is amazing. 10/10 thanks guys! Will be back 👌🏽

I was sceptical after the last review I read on Trip Advisor but decided to take the chance. So glad I did. After speaking to the staff, I found out it is under new management & they are in the process of revamping. They now have a full menu which is awesome with a variety of options. Will definitely be back for the Sunday sessions they have planned. I had some great times here back in the day. Looking forward to many more.
Phil P — Google review
Oldest brewery in Margaret River in the hands of new management from the news (local people) and reviews. Came in for lunch and some beers, found out only 2 Bootleg beers (IPA and a dark beer) are on tap and the rest from Rocky Ridge and Megsy ginger beer. Pretty low variety for a brewery but respectable as the staff/owner mentioned they are brewing new batches in the coming months. The 2 beers on offer are great. The 7% raving bull schonner hit the tastebuds pretty good! Steak sanga and the classic burger was delicious, meaty and saucy. Well cooked and with the weekly specials it's sure to charm the patrons. Live music by Louise serenaded the crowds with her charmful voice. Will be back to try other beers when they are available!

Arrived at 12 for a 12pm booking to be told we would be waiting until at least 2pm to get our food because they were fully booked....never had that experience anywhere, maybe don't book to capacity if you can't provide adequate service, I get it was a long weekend but that's just ridiculous. Edited to add we had a booking, it was not under my name it was my friends and I never spoke to anyone on the phone so the reply from owner is irrelevant- we were physically at the venue with a booking that was made months ago

This place was on deaths doorstep a few months ago , however new management and friendly staff are whipping it into shape and bringing it back to life. The XPA and the Sour were good and the parmy and special pasta dishes were excellent. They had good live music and the atmosphere is friendly with people rolling in as news spreads that things are on the up and up. Worth checking out and giving the new team some support 👌

The Margaret River Chocolate Company is a popular tourist destination in Western Australia, offering an amazing range of chocolate products and tasty treats. In addition to chocolates and cakes, the factory also serves hot meals, making it a delightful stop for both food and chocolate lovers. Visitors can enjoy free samples of various chocolate varieties and even witness the production process through viewing windows. The hot chocolate is highly recommended, with some claiming it surpasses that of popular coffee chains.
They offer free tastings of their delicious milk and white chocolates—which is always a nice touch. We came here mainly to grab their Salted Caramel Spread and some dark chocolate—both were absolutely worth it! The location is right next to Providore, so it’s easy to visit both places in one stop. You can also enjoy ice cream, coffee, and light snacks at their café. The large backyard area is perfect for kids to run around and explore. A fun and family-friendly destination we’d definitely recommend!

I am usually generous in my ratings but this will be the 1st non 5 star rating. We bought more than $300+ of chocolate n the senior lady cashier who attended to us was pretty rude! Is it because I m an Asian Chinese? Mind you, I m not from mainland China if you are thinking that I am. My passport holds the most wanted in the world. Stop looking at people with racism and like as if I cannot afford the item I was enquiring. My jacket worn alone is already worth more than that amount. Nevertheless, I still paid with a happy smile in front of this senior lady despite her lousy attitude. The younger guy serving us at the cafe was worth mentioning. He was helpful and polite. I m giving you extra stars because of him otherwise is a one star rating. So it’s a 3 star rating this time round. Be courteous in future.

Samples are great! Pretty long standing fixture when you drive by Margaret River. There will be lots to choose from, and it does get busy as it is on a pretty touristy stretch of road. Get what you need and enjoy the free samples of chocs. Get some ice cream for your ride and enjoy your stash on your trip! Staff aren’t as friendly but they are professional.

The Margaret River Chocolate Factory is a spacious and beautiful place to visit, surrounded by lots of trees and open areas. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a break during a trip through the Margaret River region. Inside, there are free chocolate tastings (which our child absolutely loved!), and there’s also a viewing area where you can watch part of the chocolate-making process. Outside, there’s plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. The café offers a wide range of menu options, making it a great spot for both a treat and a light meal. Highly recommended as a family-friendly stop when visiting Margaret River!

If you are travelling through the area then well worth stopping if not only for just a few freebie samples of their delicious chocolate. We went to Woody Book Wines winery during "the hidden gems of Margaret River" tour and we were delighted of tasting great local wines professionally explained and served. I strongly recommend to taste rose' wines as they are absolutely gorgeous. The location is surrounded by the forest and wine yards. We didn't have the chance to taste their great food in the restaurant but you know...we have a reason to come back.
Naomi — Google review
The setting at Woody Nook Wines is very pretty. Our outdoor table overlooked lily pads on a pond, with frogs croaking nearby, and the gas fires kept it toasty and warm. Sadly, the rest of the experience didn’t match the setting. Our wine tasting was over in less than 10 minutes, with wines poured so quickly there was barely time to appreciate each one. It felt rushed, almost as if we were being hurried through. For lunch, we shared the arancini to start. The flavours were there, but they were served tepid at best, which let the dish down. We were both looking forward to tucking in to a steak ($42) but were put off ordering after the arancini left us wondering how well the steak would be cooked. Probably just as well as My husband opted instead for a steak sandwich. It was okay but lacked care in cooking, seasoning and was gristly, and the hand cut chips were tepid and soggy...they had potential to be incredible if cooked well. I had the fish and chips, which was ok but nothing to rave about. The small side salad was actually the best part of my meal. When it came time to pay, there was no enquiry from staff about how our meals were. Staff were present throughout our visit, but their demeanour felt flat and disengaged. No smiles or warmth, which left the experience feeling a little lifeless. While the location and setting are lovely, the rushed tasting, underwhelming food, and lack of welcoming service mean it’s not somewhere we’ll be hurrying back to. This is a shame as we've been visiting over the part 18 years.

Sugarloaf Rock is a popular and photogenic rocky islet situated on the coast, which serves as a habitat for nesting red-tailed tropicbirds. Despite its beauty in all types of weather conditions, it may be challenging for wheelchair-bound individuals to enjoy due to the stairs leading up to it. However, those who are energetic enough can take a walk through the bush to get a closer look.

Always great, a must do when in Margs. I can never go past the Turkish delight liquor but also really liked the rum ball this time. Great views, excellent service (with a smile) so put it on your list and enjoy some cocktails! Watch out for the crocodiles....

We had a tasting experience and the Turkish Delight liqueur was amazing 🙌 however, I ordered an espresso martini that was served without the traditional coffee beans representing health, wealth and happiness!!! And when I asked about them I was told they don't do it... despite serving coffee in the next room. Very disappointing and I decided not to purchase Turkish Delight liqueur after the poor attitude at the bar.

The Grove Distillery, Margaret River I first discovered The Grove Distillery years ago during a winery tour, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite stops in Margaret River. Every time I visit the region, I make sure to swing by as it’s that kind of place you never forget. The setting is inviting and peaceful, surrounded by gum trees and native bush. The distillery building itself is charming and modern, with warm touches of wood and glass. Inside, the tasting room feels cozy but open, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The spirits are top quality, beautifully balanced, smooth, and full of character. I especially enjoy their gins and liqueurs, each with distinctly local botanical flavours. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share stories behind each expression and let you try a few samples. What stands out most is that sense of care and passion. They don’t rush you. Whether you drop in for a quick tasting or linger for a few sips, you feel welcomed. The Grove Distillery isn’t just a destination; it’s a touchpoint of the region’s creative spirit. If you’re in Margaret River and after something a little different from the usual wine trail, this is a must-visit. I always leave with a smile and a bottle or two to take home.

After a complete screw-up on my part (booking for 2026 without realising), Natasha went above and beyond to sort us out. No chalets available, but instead placed us in the brand new house that was not actually available officially yet. A significant upgrade. Therefore, instead of a disastrous weekend we had a wonderful one. I highly recommend this place - quiet, beautiful, comfortable and the best staff you could wish for (thanks as well to Karl). Great drinks as well, which we sampled daily and took some home.

An excellent place to stay, quiet and restful. The Talk & Taste Tour was very informative and well presented and the tasting part was a great deal of fun. The location is perfect for visiting the northern half of the Capes, Dunsborough and Yalingup. We will definitely be back.
John R — Google review
The location of the property was perfect for us. The Chalet itself is old & wasn’t the cleanest. The lounge room had a rug in it that was dirty. The bedrooms are very cold in Winter as there was no heating in the bedrooms. The Lounge room window was open and locked so we couldn’t close it & it’s the middle of Winter. The ensuite shower had a lot of Mould. The doors to the property were also flip locks so if you have children old enough to unlock doors I would choose a different accommodation. The property also doesn’t offer WIFI but you do get reception. The outside spa was clean but the water had a bad smell. The views from every window are beautiful, over looking the vineyards & you occasionally see Kangaroos. It’s very peaceful & in a great location between Margaret River & Yallingup with endless things to do. Staff at The Grove are also very lovely.

The Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands Experience is a must-visit attraction in the South West region of Western Australia. This ancient cave, over 500,000 years old, features stunning rock formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour or opt for a self-guided exploration to admire the natural beauty of the cave.
Lovely day exploring Ngilgi Cave. It was like being in another world. Beautiful around every corner. As you are able to self explore it was easy to navigate. With a lot of stairs, you could take your time and there are seats along the way to rest. I easily spent a few hours down there, but would book in advance so you aren't turned away.

I found this cave a little claustrophobic with some tight sections. Lots of steps but very interesting. 30 metres down & 90% humidity so quite warm. Lovely bush walk to get to the entrance with interactive displays. Really enjoyed it.

The cave is absolutely stunning and so beautiful inside. The limestone crystal formations are incredible, and walking through feels magical. There are a few steps and narrow paths, but it’s easy to manage. It does get a bit warm inside because of the humidity, so wearing light, breathable clothes really helps. Such an amazing experience

As a tour guide I take people to many wonderful places. One of my favourites is Ngilgi Cave in the Margaret River region. Its north of Margs so is an easy inclusion between Busselton & MR if you cant travel further south in a day trip from Perth. It is Western Australias 1st tourist attraction so it has History. If youre lucky enough to meet “Cave Dave”you will be in for a real treat although all the guides at Ngilgi are totally awesome. Highly recommend this cave. Enjoy.

The Cave itself is excellent and the ability to freely walk around is great, much prefer that than having to go with a guide the whole time. Staff were excellent and the forest around is lovely. Definitely worth checking out.
Zach L — Google review
The cave is absolutely amazing with such beautiful limestone formations. I have forgotten how mesmerized I was when I last visited this cave nearly 20years ago. Fast forward to 2025, the cave has had some changes. There are definitely more safety features and the place is much more well lit. You do need to go in with a good pair of walking shoes, and make use of the bar handles when possible. A moderate stamina is required as it does get rather tiring the deeper you go in as some steps do get rather high and steep. It’s a shame that some spaces (for crawling) have been closed off but I understand from one of the staff members that it’s to preserve the sanctuary of the cave life discovered inside, as insect life had bloomed during the Covid period where there were no visitors to the caves during the lockdown period. I do hope to visit the caves again some day in the future to see how it has changed!
Fun K — Google review
Great place to visit if your in the region friendly staff, younger children may struggle to walk back up from the cave easy access with steps but its a fair way down. Some spots throughout the cave are tight my husbands shoulders were a bit wide so he has to squeeze through although I did not have an issue.

The Berry Farm is a must-visit every time we’re in Margaret River. We stopped by the café and enjoyed delicious hot chai made with their own house spice blend—so warming and fragrant. The boysenberry pie with ice cream was a standout (as always), and the cheese and ham toasty on gluten-free bread was perfectly satisfying. We also tried the vegan coconut berry slice, which was a lovely sweet treat. Afterwards, we did a wine tasting. They currently offer a selection of just three tastings, which was fine—we already knew what we liked, and it was great to revisit our favorites. Charming as ever, The Berry Farm continues to be a highlight of our trips down south!

Margaret River Dairy Company is a must-visit for cheese lovers. The inviting complex painted in bright colors offers an open and airy shop area with a great atmosphere. You can sample Brie, cheddar, camembert, and other gourmet flavored cheeses along with yogurt at your leisure. The shop also features a variety of condiments and beautifully presented gifts.
Cheese lovers paradise. All the favourite cheeses available like Brie or Camembert. Lots of gourmet flavoured cheese. Chutneys, oils and other condiments available. Lots of gifts are available and beautifully presented. My friend loves his cheese so bought quite a few. Creamy texture and excellent quality.

We enjoyed our visit. It's a Good place for cheese lovers. Quite a spacious shop that opens for public but not much of a display inside, maybe due to Covid, so it's not exactly a tour type of visit. You can try and buy their cheese and beverages. Clean Toilet available on site.
Pinkblanket26 — Google review
Nice cheese but why do they close so early!!! It’s impossible to get to all your favorite places before 5pm so it’s hard to give this a full rating because we didn’t have time. Nice thing is that the “cheese tasting” is just a sample of Brie & cheddar that is pre-portioned and in a sample container so you don’t have to worry about booking a “tour”. It would be nice to try other options and it would be good if they had online ordering. Otherwise, a nice stop. Plan to buy the cheese while there because we couldn’t find it at the local Coles store.

I really enjoyed my experience at this tourist destination. This is a really inviting complex which is painted with bright colors. The shop area was open and airy and had a great atmosphere to it. On the counter were a number of cheeses and yogurt for tastings at the customers leisure. My favorite cheese was the camembert, which is one of the best I have enjoyed. There are cold cabinets displaying a large variety of ice cream, yogurts and cheeses. Access to the complex is user friendly to those with wheelchairs and walkers. Unfortunately we didn't get to do the tour of the cheese factory. The toilets were clean and well maintained. Another option I liked was the suggested packages for picnics that the shop puts together for customers, including a cooler bag and ice brick. There are several parking areas providing lots of parking bays. There are also shelves displaying other local goods (jams, honey etc) and souvenirs for purchase.
Gordon T — Google review
Atrocious service at this place. A sprinkle of customers, maybe 5 total, including us. We walked around for 10 minutes with no interaction whatsoever. We decided to still buy a jar of spread to support and buy local. However, the experience was ruined by the unfriendly asian lady. If you want a similar experience where you feel welcomed, then I would recommend Berry Farm about a 30-minute drive, much more variety on a picturesque farm with friendly customer service. I was a bit surprised by the lower than average reviews here in comparison to other attractions in Margaret River, but it is quite reflective of my experience. This place is a poor representation of the Margaret River greater community. Worst experience in Margaret River.
South R — Google review
A little disappointing... I was hoping for a tour etc. nothing... maybe COVID Restrictions are to blame? The staff member wasn't interested in their job or explaining any of the products on display. I didn't feel welcome & we were the only people in the store!
Fer ( — Google review
You can sample their products before deciding which ones to buy as there’s so many to choose from. Don’t forget to check out the ones they have in the fridges which are in bigger packs and come out slightly cheaper. Lots and lots of cheeses and ice cream flavours to choose from.
Matilda’s M — Google review
Popularly known as cheese factory, source local dairy. Cheese products and yogurt was brilliant, bought few popular varieties to go with wine. Cute little shop with options to buy coffee and ice cream. Facilities include toilets, little sitting area and decent size car park.

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse

Heritage building
The Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse is a renowned destination in the Southern coast of Western Australia, providing breathtaking panoramic views from its accessible balcony. It is a popular spot to witness the stunning sunset, with the sky turning into beautiful hues of pink and orange every evening. The lighthouse offers two options for visitors - a self-walk around by paying $5 or book for a guided tour at $15. Additionally, it serves as an excellent location to observe southern whales during their migration season.
we visited Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. The sky was partially covered with clouds, giving the place a dramatic yet peaceful atmosphere. From the top, the views stretched endlessly over the coastline, turquoise waters meeting rugged cliffs, with waves rolling in the distance. The site is steeped in history, and as we explored, we learned about the lighthouse’s role in guiding ships and protecting sailors over the decades. Standing there, surrounded by fresh ocean air and the sound of the wind, it felt like stepping back in time while still being deeply connected to the beauty of the present moment.
ASTAIZA J — Google review
Great place to visit. The lighthouse tour is well worth taking to understand the history of the site. Amazing place to see whales from the lighthouse balcony and also the viewing deck.
Nick I — Google review
Great location with lots of different hikes suitable for any fitness level. Only had two hours, but managed to see some whales at the whale watching outpost and also visited the historical lighthouse.
Baz P — Google review
Nice for a quick sightsee. Used to be free but now $6 per adult or $3 for a child over 4+ or $17 for adult to do a trip up and a tour of the actual inside of the lighthouse. Not the end of the world but nevertheless added costs for families planning a trip to see it just so you’re aware. Facilities have also been revamped and improved. Wheelchair access friendly also.
Ssidewayz — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse with a chance to spot whales. There is a kids playground in the entrance and a cute little museum for the kids, lighthouse seems to be well maintained, stunning view all around!
Sonia L — Google review
You can pay a heritage fee (under $10) to view the area, or you can climb the lighthouse for a higher fee (under $20). We chose to walk the lighthouse loop track which gave us some view of the lighthouse but a lot of entertainment from the whales who were frolicking and playing. A beautiful sight.

Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park

National park
Outdoor Activities
Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park is a coastal nature area that offers popular activities such as surfing, hiking, and picnicking. It boasts panoramic lookout points with beautiful coastline views and wildflowers during the spring season. However, some of the track signs have faded or fallen over, which could be frustrating for tourists who are unfamiliar with the area and may result in getting lost or taking the wrong path. It is advisable to take a photo of the big map sign before starting.
This is a free access national park that stretches the length of the southwest corner of WA from the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse (north) to the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse (south), taking in around 120km of beautiful coastline dotted with interesting rock formations, pristine beaches, caves, heavily wooded forests as well as the famous Margaret River wine country. We stayed several nights in Margaret River and enjoyed time exploring the national park for several days. There is good hiking available. We particularly enjoyed the Meelup Trail in the north near Cape Naturaliste. The beaches are beautiful, Hamelin Beach in particular is fun to visit as there are stingrays that cruise the shallows that you can see up close. Lots of good wine and food in the region as well. Overall, very much enjoyed our days within and around Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. Along with Margaret River activities, this is a great outdoor area with plenty to do/see/taste/try for pretty much anyone. Very much looking forward to return visits.
Brad — Google review
The park has stunning views, with large rocks mixed with endemic vegetation. The trail runs between the rocks, with waves crashing on both sides. The wind was extremely strong, which made the experience a bit challenging.
Arthur A — Google review
A lovely drive to this magnificent viewpoint. Very well set out amenities and well built viewing platform. This was a reasonably calm day, and it was still magic seeing the power of the waves entering the channel under the bridge... my second time here, and won't be my last.
Faye A — Google review
Great experience with the museum and lighthouse keepers cottage as well as the actual lighthouse. Great to learn some of the stories from the light house and absolutely stunning views
Becky — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! Worth the trail, which is not very long! Be careful of snakes if you're visiting during summer! They were building a boardwalk when we visited, so we took a different route and it was muddy but once it's finished it will be easier to get to the falls The sandy area can be a bit tough for some but not impossible. So many scenic views along the way! Recommend going here end of winter and around spring time! Travel light water, sunscreen, some snacks. Being a reserve, dogs are not allowed. There's a public restroom, a squat toilet to be exact. Reception/weak is weak or non existent. As always, let's respect the land and keep ot clean.
Klyne — Google review
At Canal Rocks, the view is simply gorgeous, waves crashing against the rocks, the smell of the sea, rock formations that are so big, and loads of wild flowers

Simply spectacular National park, with some beautiful walking trails, beaches, and places for whale watching. Quite a few points of interest, including a lighthouse, wildflowers and a few cave spots too. Great for walks with plenty of routes to choose from!

This is my 2nd time in Margaret river but my first time hiking in this national park. The view going up is breathtaking and also able to reach the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse but be prepared the trail can be quite challenging so make sure you have a proper walking or hiking shoes. But the view is definitely worth all the effort and sweat.

We stopped by for lunch on our way back to Perth. The venue was full, so I suggest making a booking if you’re travelling as a group. I had the best chicken curry here exactly what I was craving in the cold weather! Looking forward to visiting again next time we head down south. ❤️

Great location, brewery in an old farm shed, with brilliant views over the paddocks. Good range of beers and food. No pizza but delicious chips as a hunger buster. Friendly service, good music playing (not live).

Love the Beer Farm! Such an interesting brewery with great atmosphere. Delicious food, tasty beer, only criticism was there is no cider on tap. We were able to sit inside with the dogs which was great. Highly recommend the tuna tartare.

Recently dined here with friends and our kids. The kids loved the playground and large area that they could explore. I'm coeliac and discussed the gluten free, coeliac safe options and was informed they had a separate fryer for hot chips and assured that their chicken massman was gluten free and coeliac safe to the best of their ability. The chicken massman was ABSOLUTELY delicious. My husband and I shared both the items we ordered and left feeling very satisfied. Absolutely recommend.

Group of 10 of us all found the food very average. Pulled pork Nachos lacked flavour and had a pool of liquid at the bottom of the plate, sauce on the corn was far too salty (and I like salt) and burger was meh. The staff were lovely and atmosphere was nice, unfortunately the food was a let down

Great place for brunch / lunch. It has a beautiful lawn with an amazing view. Great to have beer to relax while waiting for your table. Service staff were very friendly and professional. Food was nice but really special or distinctive. The wait for the food is easily 30 mins on a weekend. A beautiful amazing place, recommend visiting f

Had a great lunch for two here. Ambience was. I’ve the service was great too. When I came the QR code ordering system was down. But that didn’t stop the service from being great. Loved the view of nature from the restaurant.

We ordered the fish & chips and soba noodles dish. The fish and chips were so good (one of the best i’ve ever had). The fish was soft and tender and the chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The soba noodle dish was unique and very refreshing on a summer’s day. The portions were generous too. 10/10 would recommend!

Great range of beers on tap and to take away, popped in to enjoy a taste of the beers, grabbed a paddle after solid recommendations from Noah behind the bar. Noah knew his beers and was more than helpful in choosing beers that I liked and was happy for a chat all things beer. Great view, great playspace for kids, food looked good although we didn’t eat, great range of other drinks, wine cocktails etc. great Yeti range too if you need to add to your collection. We’ll definitely be back when over in the west for a longer afternoon here! Great staff make a great visit. (No food rating as we didn't order any).

Been here a second time and it still doesn’t disappoint. One of my favourite breweries to visit when I come to the Margaret River region. Food was great, especially the various pizzas. The drinks were amazing. Personally loved the cacao stout but the other beers were also highly recommended. Atmosphere was lovely and the scenery was beautiful.
Jonathan T — Google review
This is probably the best brewery I’ve been to down south. The location is stuff, it looks over some rolling green fields/farm with animals. The staff were knowledgeable and patient as I asked too many questions and made jokes that didn’t land. The different types of beer were fantastic. We got the seasonal paddle which was 18$ and a bargain considering how you get to try six different beers. The wood fire pizza was incredible, 100% recommend that. The merch was also very well priced. It was a great experience and I’ll happily drag some friends there in the future

Beautiful beach to stop in and visit. Hard to take a bad photo. Make sure you check out the view from the lookout too.

This is one of several quality beaches that dot the eastern shores of Cape Naturaliste north of Dunsborough in WA. The beach is accessible along Meelup carpark turnoff road and the carpark here allows for plenty of day visitors. There are public toilet and water showers to clean off sand and salt water, picnic area with grass and in the shade of mature trees near the carpark as well. Importantly, the beach has very nice sand, turquoise water and beautiful views. While other beaches we walking past on the Meelup Trail seemed quiet and at times near deserted, Meelup Beach had a fair number of visitors including families with little ones taking advantage of the more comprehensive facilities here.
Brad — Google review
A pleasant and clean beach, and very quiet during our time of visiting. The car park is reasonably small, and it's a nice place for a picnic of SUP.
Kerbray — Google review
One of my favourite beaches around Dunsbrough, and probably the most popular beach for families. We come in January most years and it’s always packed with little nippers on bodyboards or smiling toddlers building sandcastles in the soft sand. It’s popular with overseas tourists, and safer than most other beaches on this part of the coast. It’s well protected and calm, so safe for inexperienced swimmers and overseas visitors who sometimes lack the ability to read the current. Lifesavers are often on duty, and there’s a well shaded picnic area. There’s also an ice cream and flavoured ice van (selling Simmo’s ice cream), and plenty of parking. A great spot to spend a few hours.

Busselton Jetty is an iconic 1.8-km wooden pier in Western Australia, featuring a train, underwater observatory, and interpretive center. It is a popular spot for swimming and beach activities along Geographe Bay. The Heritage Trail walk starts near the jetty at Railway House, offering cultural significance and connections to the region's timber industry.
Immaculately kept, run by the friendliest volunteers. 1.8km long so quite walkable, otherwise the little solar powered train can be taken. Buy tickets beforehand, if you have purchased online you still need to collect physical tickets. The train waits for 10 minutes before the return trip unless you have booked the underwater experience then it's 1 hour & 10 minutes. Other than that you walk back. On the day we went we were lucky to have a couple of dolphins
Rae R — Google review
It’s amazing how far the jetty goes when into Geographe bay. You can walk it all the way to the end or you can take the train by booking a ride. You can also add a ticket to the Underwater observatory where you descend down a set of stairs to go the under the sea to view the sea life that uses the underwater reef piles as their feeding ground. Quite therapeutic to stand there and watch the fish. Afterwards you can also visit the Marine discovery centre for some extra insight.
Shaun L — Google review
A unique ocean observatory experience! Though set in the middle of the ocean, the observatory sits at a modest depth of just 8m—yet it’s incredible how marine life has transformed the legs of the structure into their own thriving habitat. Getting there is part of the fun too: you can either enjoy a leisurely ride on the slow-moving train or take a scenic walk by foot. A fascinating and family-friendly way to connect with the underwater world!

Really lovely day out. If you’re into fishing, snorkelling or just a fun day out, busselton jetty is a must when you’re in the area. It’s a bit of a shame that the main area is so small and the second you get away from the shore, it seems like theres bot a whole lot to do… however the beaches are great, and you get a lot of souvenirs and info at the jetty info center as well as the main visitor center. Overall recommend going to see this place! We did the ultimate experience off-peak for 50$ each, includes ride on train both ways, the underwater observatory (breath taking experience!!) and the marine discovery center. (Unsure if the discovery center is worth it but all in all, great experience)

We popped in to the Busselton Museum and it was very interesting. Lots of different exhibits to view and full of local history and stories. Staff were really nice. It was reasonable hot in most of the building without AC but that's a minor issue. Well worth a visit.

An awesome yesteryear collection of pictures and artifacts. Tuesday morning is closed for maintenance and repair jobs. Run by local volunteers. Great for school excursions

I visited today with my 2 children, we had a fantastic afternoon. The animal farm is well planned out, easy parking and access, animal care closures are fantastic and suited to each animal. We enjoyed the variety of animals and being able to feed them. They were all gentle, happy and it was amazing to see them up close. Our favourite was the Ostrich he was spectacular! Thanks for a great family outing, looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful petting zoo/farm feeding experience. Great variety of animals and the kids absolutely adore the experience - we went twice in two days we were in the area. Educational fun and adorable animals

Who said animal farms are only for kids? I had such a wonderful time at Sunflowers Animal Farm! Feeding and interacting with the animals was an absolute highlight of our trip. The farm is well-kept, the animals are clearly loved and cared for, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was my first time feeding and patting a horse—he was so gentle and calm, a truly special moment. This experience really made me fall in love with the charm of country life. Highly recommend a visit for anyone who loves animals or is just looking for a peaceful, hands-on farm experience. Thank you for such a memorable day!

We are 2 grown women from Canada who had a dream to see the kangaroos! We didn’t see any in the wild but this farm more than made up for it! We could pet and feed them, we also saw a momma and Joey! The other animals were great too but the kangaroos were worth every penny for us!

We had a wonderful time at Sunflower Animal Fun! Admission is $16.50 per person for adults and kids aged 2 and above (free for those under 2). For an extra $4, you can get a bucket of animal feed (lettuce, carrots, bread, etc.) get it cos it’s definitely worth it! There are three walk-in enclosures where you can get up close with baby kangaroos, sheep, and cows … a highlight for the little ones! Other animals like horses, goats, alpacas etc can be fed over the fence. Expect to spend about 30 minutes to an hour for a full round. It’s a great introduction to animals for young kids. Facilities are basic and there are portable toilets, so best to go beforehand. Handwashing stations are available at the end of the round. It was generally quiet and we pretty much had most of the farm to ourselves. Overall, a fun, hands-on farm experience for families!

The children would enjoy this place as it allows feeding the animals with a bucket of feed for $4. However, the instructions to get the feed after buying tickets was unclear. The area is small and takes about an hour to see everything. The portable toilets were dirty. Given the conditions, I would not go back again.

Absolutely loved this place!! The staff look after the animals so well and the animals are that gorgeous and friendly will definitely be back. I mean just look at this good looking chap!

A great little place for the kids. So many animals and you can feed almost all of them. Do think the toilet facilities need a massive upgrade as they are currently portaloo’s. Only takes around 1 hr to see everything.

Tuart Forest National Park is a vast natural reserve that boasts of unique Tuart trees growing on coastal limestone. It features various hiking trails and stretches along the coastline, with Ludlow North Road to the west and Bussell Highway to the east. The area around this park is filled with beautiful scenery, and visitors can enjoy a tourist drive leading to the old mill town of Ludlow by following Ludlow Road. However, littering remains an issue in this natural haven despite its rich history.
Very short little walk but still great to learn. Good little pavilion to sit and listen but be protected from the rain.

1.4km Possum Spotlighting Trail was nice by day walking thru the rare Tuart trees, walk starts just where Layman Rd turns off west of Tuart Drive. 2 picnic tables, interpretive signs, and signs to loos, but couldn't see where the loos were! Short boardwalk also out to Malbup Bird Hide (but it was almost dry late March & only 1 heron in sight, lots of midges, and signs re mozzies - for tons of waterbirds instead we drove a short distance south to James Richardson Park on Estuary View Drive). We did see Fairywrens, a Ringneck Parrot, Gerygone and Bronze wings on the Possum Trail by day. Empty on a Monday. Signs recommend also coming at night to walk the trail and spot night animals and birds. Picnic Area also across the main road.

Beautiful scenery, lillys over the entire area floor. 4wd needed if venturing in with car. Kangaroos all over, serene and grass areas to sit and relax and take it all in

Tuart trail is a little ways away, has nice flowers and shrubs but the trail is only 600m long. Cannot recommended to anyone wanting a proper trail walk. Bring mozi spray if your going.

Beautiful National Park. Huge Tuart Trees. One of a kind in the world. A number of Tuart forests stretch along this part.of the coast line. To the West is Ludlow North Road, to the East is the Bussell Highway. Follow Ludlow Road to the old mill toen of Ludlow and the Tourist drive. T w rrific drive and scenery. Just watch our for Kangaroos.

Nice peaceful place to have a walk. Make sure you whack on some mozzie spray especially after it rains.

Given it's history...It's got a lovely calm essence about it now...I just wish lazy pigs would stop dumping their rubbish in there.....ruins it in so many ways.
