Beautiful newly built pier with amazing views of the city. Beautiful spot to watch the sunset and see the city beautifully lit up at night. Def worth visiting and going for a walk to the end of the jetty. Also lots of seating all the x way along the pier for those that need to take a rest or to sit and see the beautiful city views. I love this pier.

This is such a beautiful addition to St Kilda. The pier is lovely, the beaches are clean, and if you’re lucky enough you’ll see one of the local penguins. This is a free tourist attraction so that’s a great thing. Plenty to see as there are great restaurants from takeaways to fine dining (Donovan’s).

My first visit to St Kilda pier since its been upgraded. I love what has been done with it. It's a very pleasant walk with the sunset and view of the city skyline. Plenty of places to sit and relax along the way and I love how they've kept the historical kiosk.

A must-visit when in Melbourne. St Kilda Pier offers stunning views of the city skyline and Port Phillip Bay, especially during sunrise and sunset. The walk is peaceful, with plenty of spots for photos. If you’re lucky, you might spot the famous little penguins near the breakwater at dusk. Clean, well-maintained, and a perfect place to relax and soak in the fresh sea breeze.

Here's where you can see wild tiny penguin at its natural habitat. Btw note that this is not a penguin parade so you have to patient search and wait for the penguins! Usually they are in between some rocks so look carefully. Don't get your hope up too high if you are expecting a lot of penguins visible in close proximity. This is not your place

Went on a Saturday afternoon with nice weather and sunshine. It was a big change from before. There were a lot of people. There was a boat tour to see penguins. There was an ice cream shop at the end of the road. It was delicious. The atmosphere was good for visiting. The walkway was convenient, but there were no trash cans.

Overall, the amusement park makes a good impression, offering a variety of interesting attractions. However, in 4-5 hours, we were only able to go on two rides. The queues for each attraction ranged from 1 to 3 hours. Even in the afternoon, the wait for a simple slide for a small child was 40 minutes. I queued for my child, but he wasn't allowed to go ahead. Therefore, queuing for someone else seems impossible. I would rather call this place a zoo than an amusement park. Unfortunately, such a large number of visitors undoubtedly has a negative impact on the experience of this historical site. I understand that even on weekdays it can be crowded, and during school holidays, it’s likely a real nightmare. It would be sensible to consider the option of selling tickets online and to have separate hours for tourists. After all, standing in line for two hours is certainly very exhausting! Moreover, it’s completely impossible to step away to the toilet for fear of losing your spot.

First time at Luna Park in more than a decade, good fun. Took a ride on the Scenic Railway, which was great to see it's still running after more than 100 years! The Ghost Train left a lot to be desired - a shadow of what it used to be - little to see inside for much of the ride - being back the daggy uv paintings and jump scare staff!! Wait time for the Scenic Railway was 45 min, and about an hour for the Ghost Train. Park was busy - fully booked a d three kids birthday parties on the day we were there, but staff were great and no one was unhappy with the wait times. Recommended for a day out - but book ahead.

A beautiful and peaceful spot for a picnic! The low crowds make it worth paying for a memorial picnic if you plan to spend more than a couple of hours here. Please note that a separate ticket is required to visit the mansion, in addition to the entry fee. There’s a guided tour available approximately every hour. The estate is well-maintained, with several charming bridges crossing the lake, offering unique views. If you're up for a little adventure, there’s also a viewpoint accessible via a short climb.

Impressive place. Some interesting history. Highly recommend the mansion your. However you don't get to see all the rooms and no access to the tower. Nice place for a picnic. Cafe is very limited so byo food and drink.

The mansion is very beautiful and well preserved. The tour was just a small group of 10-15 people so it’s not overcrowded. The tour guide who is a local is very informative of the estate and its surroundings’ history. You can also explore the garden and grounds after the tour. The garden tour was $15pp and for an additional $10pp, you get to have a guided tour inside the mansion as well.

A beautiful beach to relax and chill and is located about an hour from the city. The colourful instagram worthy beach houses and a beautiful sunset are some add-ons as to why one should visit this beach.

Lovely new cafe there now too by the parking area.. huts so pretty and colourful. Worth a stop off to see them and admire the view back into the city skyline too.

I love love walking alongside the water. Seeing all the tourists here actually makes me happy to see as I’m glad people enjoy the little beach houses and that it’s a sight that’s fun to visit. I also feel the water is super clear here and it makes the colour of the water really nice. I’ve come here with friends, family, and on a school excursion when I was in high school and I’ve always had nice memories here.

I checked out Chadstone Shopping Centre last week and got there using the free shuttle bus from Federation Square — such a smooth and easy ride! The driver was super friendly, the bus was spotless, and the whole trip took only about 25 minutes. Tip: Book the free shuttle online before you go — it’s way easier than taking public transport. Chadstone itself? Massive! The ground floor is full of fancy luxury brands, and if you head down to the lower ground, you’ll find a fun mix of food spots, snack bars, bookstores, and a huge food court. If you love shopping, window-shopping, or just people-watching in style, you could easily spend the whole day here — and honestly, it’s totally worth it

Fantastic shopping experience at Chadstone! The centre is impressively clean, with a vibrant atmosphere and a great selection of food options. Parking was surprisingly easy, plenty of spots and well-organised. The toilets were a bit of a novelty, with individual facilities that felt more private than usual. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable visit. Highly recommend!

It’s big , you won’t see it all in a day, food court well worth a visit , definitely some delicious food getting served up there. Free parking , all your usual suspects in the retail world plus a lot more you could throw a stick at. Enjoy your day , lots too see.

Very nice shopping malls with a lot of brands both local and Int'l. Eatery mainly Asian foods, would hope to get more European flavor. Major brand like KMart, Coles, Woolworth, Aldi, Myers, Uniqlo etc all available. Cinema also available. It has a bus interchange but unfortunately no train or tram stations, nearest is Hughesdale or Oakleigh train station then transfer by bus

I stayed at the chadstone hotel with a couple of friends of mine. I didnt like the showers because it was see through and water was able to get out. But overall everything was ok but hard to find parking. I did enjoy the pool and over all vibe of the hotel. Ok bye

Chadstone Shopping Centre is truly a shopper’s paradise! Being just around the corner from home, it’s my ultimate go-to destination for everything — from luxury brands to everyday essentials. Whether you're in the mood for *high-end fashion, affordable retail therapy*, or just a relaxed stroll, Chadstone has it all under one stunning roof. The interior is spectacular, modern, and thoughtfully designed. You actually enjoy walking through it. There’s ample parking seriously, you’ll always find a spot no matter how busy it gets. The Hoyts cinema is top-notch with extreme screens that make every movie an experience. Add to that a wide selection of eateries, cafés, and food court. from quick bites to gourmet restaurants, you’ll never run out of delicious options. Chadstone isn’t just a mall; it’s a full-day experience. You walk in thinking you’ll “just browse" and somehow end up leaving with amazing finds, always worth it.

5/4/25 We had an absolutely fantastic night on the Blues Train! We had had to wait for 5 years for the experience as we had previously booked in 2020..... Anyway, finally we managed to get 7 of us together and it was fabulous! We started with the meal. I feel the directions could have been clearer, but there was enough food when I got there (larger men in our party would have preferred seconds/larger portions). The meal was tasty. We had beef, chicken, carrots, mashed potato, salad, a bread roll, and coleslaw. Dessert (lemon tart) was too sweet and the only option, which was disappointing. The music in each carriage was great. My order of favourites would be B, A, D, C but others in our group had different favourites. Something for everyone. Anna Scionti amazed us all with her cigar box guitar skills 👌 👏 🎸 It would have been nice to know about the drink package options beforehand, to have been able to choose ahead rather than work it out in the queue, but we managed! We're so glad the Blues Train survived after 2020! P.S. nice to have security in each carriage, especially when a few people got a bit tipsy! There wasn't any trouble, just merriment, but nice to have their presence for 'just in case'!

My friend and I flew from Newcastle to share the adventures of the Blues Train.. We had the most amazing time.. The staff were super friendly, the Blues artists were fun and entertaining and the added experience of the train was awesome. I havn't stopped smiling.. Highly recommend 🌞

We did the lunch show & we can’t wait to go again. The train ride was amazing, the musicians were very talented & played a variety of blues. The buffet food was very tasty and nearly all options were gluten free. The catering staff and the train staff were so friendly & helpful, even on a 35.deg day. Make sure you book accommodation early, took us a while to find something.

Had such a great time. I loved the cross section and varied music even though it was all blues. The carriages are not over crowded ( the perfect amount ) I would recommend this to anyone who has a love of music especially Blues

Had an absolute blast. The music was great , the atmosphere was amazing and we had a great time. I do think there need to be better food options though. The snack box was tasty but not really adequate for the length of time on the train , the free flowing drinks and as the event starts so early it makes it difficult to eat dinner beforehand. Incorporating some kind of hot food e.g sliders, pies etc at the halfway point (Drysdale) would make it an even better experience. Thanks Blues Train for responding. I do believe that you need to look at recent reviews and take the comments re the food "On Board". It is not easy to eat dinner that early and most of the recent reviews that I have read have mentioned the inadequacy of the food. I think you need to meet the expectations of your clients and provide better food options. If you did it would elevate the experience from 4 Star to 5 Star.

The experience of traveling the train and entertainment was fantastic. How ever … I am so glad I had a late lunch as the food provided was revolting and un eatable. Given a grazing box with warm cheese & dip. Deli meat was off, it went in the bin. Drinks limited only providing one per stop. Where as there website reflected only allowed three at a time . But would only give you one drink ! Very disappointed with food and drink provided.

Boy, did this give me the blues. I went on this ten years ago and it was amazing — but the change in structure has turned it into an absolute mess. At each stop, you’re only allowed to get a drink for yourself — no one else in your group — and there are only four people physically serving the entire train. Everyone in your group has to queue for their own drink, including any elderly parents you’ve brought along. This also means you have to choose between going to the toilet, queuing for a drink, or queuing to save a seat on the carriage. You can’t do all three, and either way, you’ll spend the entire 30-minute stop in a queue. There are a maximum of four toilets per stop serving the entire train. No one explained the drinks rules in advance or how we would move between carriages, so everyone was confused and frustrated right from the start. Calling it a shambles doesn’t do it justice. We missed out on drinks, people were peeing in the bushes, and we couldn’t sit with our group on the carriage because there’s no structure to the seating arrangements. The staff were rude — I actually had to have a word with one of them after they referred to me as “that woman” for being in the way. The whole process completely undermined what would otherwise be a great musical experience. What a shame — this used to be brilliant.

Excellent place for brunch or coffee with amazing views. Can be quite windy at the end of the pier. Make sure to wear something warm during the colder months. Excellent place for squid fishing from the pier.

Mel and the team were excellent and helped with all the booking and advice we needed for our overnight mooring. Facilities were clean and showers warm. Lots of local restaurants in walking distance too.

Absolutely stunning. A beautiful place to walk, grab a bite to eat or if you have a boat licence, grab a boat and sail away..unfortunately that isn't me. Queenscliff has a lot to offer and its a beautiful town. I'd highly recommend visiting this place.

I loved this place. I also saw fish in the water whilst walking along the pier (if sorts lol) I went on a few different days. My ONLY COMPLAINT was the pure enjoyment I had being robbed sneakily by the local seagulls lol. I still laugh to myself every time I think about the seagulls flying off with tray of potato cakes and chips literally (couple come to annoy me from the left and as soon as I gave them attention the seagulls came/flew from the right and picked up what I thought was a heavy tray that I was eating from on the waters edge). I rate here 10 out of 10 and won't be trusting the local wildlife 😂

Beautiful to wlak around Swan Bay and the Harbour it's peaceful there's plenty of birds including obviously Swans and pelicans and plovers and stalks and other sea and water birds. Beautiful fresh air, clean areas, peaceful but also lovely locals who are friendly!

Good views of the harbour and the beach nearby. Plenty of parking. Easy access to the ferry terminal near by. A couple of eateries and cafes nearby. Well worth a visit.

I went to Dandenong market to investigate and purchase turnips. I don’t know why they are hiding in big supper markets. I found many shops selling them. I found two different prices. Prices seem reasonable for all fruits and vegetables. Turnips are good as a snack or cooked. I call them "Gonglu" in my native language, more nutritious than potatoes but as delicious as potatoes in a balanced diet. I was delighted to see the fresh fruits and vegetables the Lord of heavens and earth has created for humanity.

You can find big variety of fruits, vegetables meat, fish, nuts, eggs and even flowers and there are many more. Compared to big market players this place offers significantly bargain price. Fresh and Cheap 😊

Best market in town. Dandenong market is absolutely value for money. Vegetables are very cheap. From clothes to groceries, everything is available. They arrange festivals in regular intervals. Those festivals are free for entrance and fun events; great moments of joy. The market has playzone. Grocery shops offer discount towards the end of the day. Vegetables with this low prices aren’t available anywhere else. Fish, meat and vegetables are very much fresh. There are a few quality food stalls offering tasty foods at a very low cost. The market is great for shopping and passing quality time with family.

Lively market, similar like VicMarket but people here are just more down to earth if you know what I mean. Many stores selling veggies and fruits; I had Lamb pancake from the Turkish food truck ( amazingly good) and Srilankan food cheese Gottu ( which is so salty and disappointing). Also had dessert from a place ( truffle and lemon cake) which were just ok. I feel like I am in a different country.

Do not shop for groceries unless you have first paid a visit to this place if you are close or can drive to this place during the weekends. The prices you have seen even in cheap local stores and shops will be beaten for sure. Specially if you are a seafood lover, you can find fresh and reasonably priced fish in this market. For hookah/shishah lovers, the cheapest tobacco flavours are there too. You can also enjoy the authentic food stalls. We tried Colombian food and loved it.

A bit of a Foodie haven, lots of delicious food at an affordable price. The oysters were reasonably priced and fresh at MC Quality Seafood. You have to try the Afghan bread from Kabul Kitchen (get it for takeaway, the bread is hugeeeee). The Empanada but especially Latin American hot dog at Cafe Valentina was just flavour bomb. Of course you need to finish the food tour at Dandee Donuts Dandenong Market with their jam or custard filled donuts.

Some great ethnic food, cheap flowers, eggs, fruit & vegetables. Watch the parking inspectors, it's ticketed and were a few fines on car windows 😉

We took our year 4 students to Fort Queenscliff for a school excursion and cannot recommend highly enough. Mary was our tour guide and made it memorable with her wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour. It carries such an interesting history- right on our doorstep. Thanks Mary!

A carer and I brought a group of 6 clients in today and Mary was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and a wonderful lady. Fantastic guided tour with detailed explanations of the history of all the elements of the fort. Incredible historical artifacts. A great family experience. The kids really enjoyed it and learned so much. 😊

Very interesting place, our tour guide was both informative and funny telling us facts regarding the fort and some funny things that have taken place there. Please be advised there are NO public toilets available inside the fort, there are however toilets available just outside. Apart from this I would highly recommend this place for a visit.

The views were brilliant even on an overcast day. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. My four year old boy enjoyed seeing all the buildings and guns. A fun experience was watching a container ship make the turn out of the bay as it illustrated the use of the lighthouses. Highly recommended to spend some time here!

As small zoos go, this is a decent one. Good variety of animals, all accessible for patting and feeding. Cute pony rides and fun tractor pulled train ride. Kids also loved the playground. Food and coffee available in the cafe was surprisingly good.

This farm is a great place for families with young children to visit! Kids will have a blast going on the pony ride (additional cost), the tractor ride (additional cost), playing in the playground, petting and feeding some of the farm animals. You actually get a bag of feed included with your entry to feed some of the animals. Plenty of animals around and you can get up pretty close to many of them too! An affordable and memorable experience for everyone. Lots of space for parking, unless they are having a particularly busy day. Additional parking can be found on the side streets of the main road outside the farm, only a few minutes walk away.

Amazing place. Found this place based on recommendations from my work colleague. Took my 2.5 yr old son here. Did not disappoint. Lots to do. Getting up close to the animals was the highlight. Would go again. Worth the 45 minutes drive.

📍 Good historical location. You can’t drive your private vehicle all the way to Point Nepean — parking is available only at the entrance. From there, you’ll need to take the shuttle service, which requires a paid return ticket purchased at the start. Note that the shuttle doesn’t operate all the time, so check the schedule beforehand. Alternatively, you can walk barefoot (or in comfortable shoes) for around 4–5 km. Plan at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the surroundings and the historic atmosphere.

The day was rainy with thunder and lightning, peaceful and the solitude I craved. Great walking tracks, asphalt the whole way. The up keep of the fort is good, an historic part of our past. Pack a picnic to share at the Quarantine Station, magnificence buildings.

Great history! Lovely walk around the grounds of the quarantine station at Point Nepean. I advise you to watch a short video about the quarantine station before your walk. Very interesting. There is a lovely little coffee van there on site, too.

Lots of fascinating points of interest along a spectacular scenic coastline. The old gun placements were great to walk around and you really felt in the moment walking through the tunnels under the point. The sites were well signposted with plenty of information detailing the point of interest. Great bus service to get you to the point without having to make the 3 km hike over some very steep hills.

Utterly Gorgeous park! Fantastic range of walks to stunning views! Shuttle bus runs out to the point & very accessible! Highly recommend if in the area!

Absolutely stunning! Point Nepean National Park offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, rich history, and adventure. Breathtaking coastal views, peaceful walking trails, and historic forts make it a must-visit. The bike ride to the tip is a highlight — scenic, breezy, and unforgettable!

Lovely historic buildings but basically they are abandoned and in disrepair. I liked reading about the history and enjoyed the tranquil environment. History buffs would enjoy this place. 👍

What a great place. Could easily spend a day here. Spring showcases many amazing Australian species in beautiful bloom. Many of the plants are labelled, which is great for garden lovers wanting to take note and add something new to their garden. There's so much to see, with plenty of rest spots and shade. Managed to spot lots of gorgeous wildlife - plenty of smaller birds and even a bandicoot! The gardens have a lovely gift shop, toilet and cafe/kiosk facilities, and is accessible to get around - with ramps and lifts. Would definitely like to come back and spend more time here.

Beautiful well curated garden with so many different sections of plants, flowers and trees to admire. It is extremely well maintained, clean and peaceful here. It is huge, tranquil and worth coming to. There are two major pieces of land to explore (bush area with a playground or the Australian gardens) which means plenty to see. They have incorporated water well into the landscape too. No need for a ticket but you can offer a donation or purchase something at their beautiful gift shop. There is plenty of parking. I love it here! Great place to have a picnic and plenty of space so you really don't have to worry about a crowd.

I heard it was a blossom in the garden. I went to see flowers. It was full of beautiful flowers of spring. This garden is one of its kind, and it is situated on an amazing land escape. The flower I was looking for wasn’t there. I closed my eyes for a minute and took a deep breath. And I said in my native language: “Koi keh de Gulaab se mere, Teri khushboo udaas hai aja. Then I felt her presence around me, and I was surrounded by a mysterious fragrance. This garden has an awesome cafeteria. It was full of people. I tried a cup of coffee. This garden also reminds me that the God of the heavens and earth has created this earth that has the ability to grow crops, plants and trees for humans and animals. He has created gardens in the heavens for righteous people. Underneath those gardens there will be streams of water, milk and honey.

Heard about this garden from a documentary featuring top 50 beautiful gardens in the world and it didn’t disappoint. I have relatives from overseas so we brought them to visit this garden. This place is beautifully designed. We didn’t have much time so we probably just saw half of the garden so we would definitely go back again.

Make a Date with Nature, Nature Journaling with Paula Peeters It was with excitement that I prepared art supplies for Paula Peeters’ Nature Journaling class at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne. The spring flowers and sunshine were joyfully warming and welcoming. Paula began by bringing the history of the land to life; the Boon Wurrung/ Bunurong people had lived on this land for over 40,000 years. As we walked through the gardens Paula pointed out that the oldest eucalyptus fossil was found 52 million years ago in Argentina, the oldest banksia fossil was found 54 million years ago, the bedrock under Melbourne is 450 million years old and our beautiful yellow tailed black cockatoos have been flying around for 50 million years. 20,000 years ago the land existed as sand dunes; before it was developed as a garden, it was used as a sand quarry by the Armed Forces. Paula instructed us to not only pay attention to the surrounding nature but also to ourselves. She then guided us through a series of exercises which included a contour drawing which we did without looking at or lifting our pencil from the page, paying attention to what was going on in our head and letting go of negative thoughts. Then we did speed drawing, in faster and faster increments; amazingly the drawing I did in 5 seconds bore the greatest resemblance to the seed pod. It was fun drawing a leaf and then matching each participant’s leaf drawing with the actual leaf. When we walked amongst the grass trees which are actually 400 years old, Paula borrowed the prompts below from nature journalist and author John Muir Laws and we were asked to complete the following: I notice … I wonder … It reminds me of … It makes me feel … The greatest challenge during our class was to try and draw something alive. We walked over to the lake for this, ‘the only way to learn is to watch and get it down quickly … our brains grow according to what we pay attention to … this is Neuroplasticity’ she explained. ‘Neuroplasticity’ Is described by Britannica as ‘the brain's capacity to change connections and behavior in response to new information, sensory stimulation, development, ...’ , It is really true, I always thought I knew what a banksia tree looked like, but when I tried to draw it, I saw it through a totally different lens and it seemed like I was seeing the spikey array of long, slender leaves for the first time. We finished with 5 minutes of non-stop free writing and a haiku, which is a poem of 3 lines with 5, 7 and 5 syllables. Orange blossoms stretch, Waver, hover, shake, sway, Flaming sunlight caught. Finally visited the Royal Botanical Gardens at Cranbourne and were pleasantly surprised by spread. Landscapes, modern but iconic art pieces and wonder nature inspired garden design reflecting our lands native plants is a sight indeed. The gardens are ignificant for biodiversity conservation and a must visit place in Melbourne.

Lovely garden with free guided tours at 11am daily (booking required). There are trails around the gardens. Great for wildlife spotting too.

Visited Peninsula Hot Springs and had an unforgettable experience. The setting is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by nature, birds, and gentle steam rising from the pools. Each hot spring has its own character, from quiet cave-style baths to hilltop pools with panoramic views of the peninsula. The temperature variety makes it easy to find your perfect spot to relax. The entire place is clean, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed to help you slow down and unwind. The staff were friendly and professional, explaining everything clearly at check-in. I especially loved the hilltop pool at sunrise, where you can soak while watching the sky change color — truly magical. There’s also a café serving healthy food and smoothies, which makes the experience feel complete. Whether you come solo, with friends, or as a couple, it’s the perfect escape from the city — pure relaxation in nature.

We were 3 friends celebrating a 50th birthday. The staff were kind, efficient and went above and beyond to make us feel special. The Eco-Lodge rooms we booked were amazing. I could not fault anything. Clean design, quality products and the calmness and relaxation that middle-aged busy and tired moms long for! The dinner was delicious, the wine was great, and a hot beverage to take away an unexpected treat. We did the Fire and Ice Wellness Activity, and the amazing Emily helped us feel safe, calm and grounded during the ice-bath. We were initially apprehensive taking part, but it turned out to be an amazing experience. We learned so much from this 45 minute experience and would actually do it again! Fiona at the check-in desk is a great, and it felt as if we have known her for years. I want to note that the security and management of this massive facility is really good. Staff members are visible, easy to communicate with, and well trained. They seem to all enjoy what they are doing. At night, security was visible and good, asking if we needed help or had any questions. Our spa treatment with Ms Add and her 2 colleagues was exceptional. The staff are clearly well trained and professional, kind, and good at what they do.

We visited Peninsula Hot Springs ♨️ in the late evening with family, and it was such a relaxing experience. Though a bit crowded, the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. The place is very kids-friendly, with pools of different temperatures perfect for all ages. The hilltop pool was the highlight offering a stunning panoramic view, especially during sunset. The warm water and cool evening air made it unforgettable. Despite the crowd, it was worth it and a great family experience overall.

It was well worth the long drive coming here. The Peninsula Hot Springs is a great location for a family getaway and relaxation is guaranteed. There's plenty of parking and the facilities for changing and showering are very clean. There's lockers and towels available for a fee as well, should you need those. You're given a robe to use and I'm glad I brought thongs for my feet as it made moving around much easier. It's much larger than I had imagined. There were so many pools to choose from at various locations. I tried the 30° pool as well as the 40° pool and both were excellent. There's a sauna and even a hammam. It was a cold night so I wasn't brave enough to try the ice cave or the ice pool. There's also spa and wellness packages but I will try that next time. The location is gorgeous and with opening and closing times so accommodating, you can watch the sun set, as we did, while you're enjoying the view of the trees and listening to natural wildlife sounds. Tickets for us were $55 dollars each so it's not overly expensive but it's still something a family might want to plan for. It was definitely a fantastic experience and I do recommend this place for families looking for some rest and relaxation.

Sorely disappointed as my partner and I were expecting various heated metal coils fashioned in an artistic way upon the hill ("hot springs"). I'd been a fan of the spring ever since I was a wee bairn. So malleable and applicable to many situations. My very first invention in fact was shoes with springs on the bottom of them so you can jump anywhere you please, in style. So being a lifelong fan of the spring you can imagine my disappointment when we stumbled across about 50 hot baths! Lucky I always bring extra springs with me wherever I go. The baths were indeed pleasant to sit in. I chose to free ball (towel wise) and walk around with no towels or robes weighing me down. The benefits of this were that I could run from pool to pool in a speedy manner. Not good for prying eyes though. These double ds have a mind of their own without a sports bra. My Noel was a bit confused about the whole situation and I walked out from the change rooms to find him swimming in the duck pond. I think he enjoyed it though and the moss seemed to make his skin extra smooth. Lovely place

I had an incredible experience at the Hot Springs! We opted for the Dine & Bath package, and it was absolutely worth it. I’d visited before for general bathing, but this took it to a whole new level. The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional throughout our visit. One of the highlights was spending time in the Spa Dreaming Centre — it was incredibly calming and relaxing. We also enjoyed the general bathing area, which was just as lovely. The entire property is serene and beautifully maintained, with immaculate gardens that added to the peaceful atmosphere. Truly, it felt like a little slice of heaven. I look forward to returning again

My husband and I went here for a day visit. Firstly the lady's at reception are super welcoming and very friendly. There are plenty of pool options, you will have to get comfortable with the idea of bathing with strangers 😂 because it is super busy, but once you move past that it is really quite lovely. Even the walk around to the different pools is lovely. They offer lots of options to relax, hammocks, bean bag style chairs, benches and big domes you can go into to lay down. The hill top pool was definitely a highlight, offering a 360° view of the surrounding hills. But a personal favourite was the cave pool. I will definitely be coming back on my next Melbourne trip!

Great day trip from Melbourne. Public transport from Melbourne cbd will be approx 2.5 hrs each way near to the cable car base station, 20min walk from the bus stop at visitor centre. Cable car ride takes 15min each way, to the summit and back, views are exceptional on a clear day. There is a summit walk around the state park with a few lookout points. We could see the entire Mornington peninsula upto Melbourne cbd from the lookouts. There is a cafe, gift shop and toilets at the summit station.

What exceptional customer service! I was looked after by two lovely ladies today at Arthurs Seat Eagle - Eve and Wendy. I had issues with tickets from Red Balloon and the ladies were awesome with sorting that out for me. If you haven't been on Arthurs Seat Eagle then you need to come and check it out. It's a fabulous experience and the customer service is absolutely awesome Thanks Eve and Wendy. I'll be back soon!

Beautiful views over the bay from the summit, cafe food is okay but a bit expensive. Looks like someone has finally bought the restaurant on the summit as I saw some workers in there. Hopefully it reopens soon.

As a first time visitor, this was incredible. I was still able to experience the history and the views while enjoying a beautiful sea breeze in my face, a gentle ride up and back, comfortable seats, and an incredible gift shop. I wish we could have done this at sunset, I was pleasantly surprised by the ability to view our picture and order it to be printed immediately at the top. The staff were friendly and professional, and we enjoyed our wine as we admired the views from the top. I can picture myself having a picnic lunch surrounded by gum trees and overlooking Mornington Peninsula next time I visit the bushland and taking a walk.

Great experience for a local location. The views are incredible, the staff are very professional, the ride is smooth. Food is usual take away, nuggets, chips, etc , $4.5 small coffee. The cars are open with no wind protection, if windy or cold, you need to dress up accordingly. Can get busy during peak hours but queues move at a decent pace.

Excellent place to visit with family and kids. But you should bring your own food. Food is very expensive and coffee too. So much to do and see. Highly recommended Arthur's seat Eagles.

Purchased tickets online, which was easy and secure with our tickets delivered directly to my email. Presented the barcode at the boarding zone, which was scanned and we were quickly shown our capsule. One great feature was no matter the size of your group, whether riding solo or with up to 7 others, you get the ride to yourselves. The ride was smooth and very quiet, leaving us to enjoy the surrounding views. Lots of photos opportunities on the 14 minute trip. It wasn't crowded but I still recommend buying the tickets online to "jump the que" on arrival. Staff at the summit and the base were all very friendly complimenting the experience. Highly recommend and it may have been my first, but won't be my last time on the Arthur's Seat Eagle chairlift.

Lovely scenery, but activities can be limited if you are not doing tree surfing. We had a great picnic, blessed with beautiful weather, played with tube slide, hedge maze and lovely walk in the area. Nonetheless, there could have been more activities provided for families who are not doing tree surfing, especially at entrance ticket prices like these for a family which is quite steep. Overall, it was a good experience mainly due to the weather.

We had an absolute ball at Enchanted Adventure on the Mornington Peninsula! The mazes were creative and fun to explore, and the tube slides were a highlight – fast, exciting and perfect for all ages. The gardens are beautifully kept, offering plenty of fresh air and a wonderful chance to enjoy nature at its best. It’s a fantastic day out for families or groups looking for something different. Do note that tree surfing and zip lines are only available on weekends, so plan accordingly. With so much to do and see, it’s easy to spend hours here. A truly memorable experience and one we’d happily return to again. Highly recommended for a fun and active outdoor adventure!

Cute place to spend half a day. We went on a weekday in June and it was pretty deserted. We had the tube slides completely to ourselves for half an hour in the morning. The mazes and gardens were fun to walk through. We definitely took our sweet time, and it still only took an hour, so believe it when people say that this isn’t more than a half-day excursion. It was only with the Grand aerial obstacle course that we stretched it out to five hours at the park. The obstacle course was fun, though. Very well run, there are five paths to follow so no one path ever feels crowded or jammed. Each path ends with a zip line, with the fourth and fifth being the longest, and the fifth being the prettiest. You go at your own pace and as long as you finish before two hours, you can do the Tarzan swing and maybe the rock wall at the end. They’re pretty strict about the two hours even when the park is completely empty. We didn’t know about the two hour cut off, so they squeezed in the Tarzan swing for us anyway as we were right at the two hour mark.

Enchanted adventure is next to Arthur’s park nearby Rye. It was a good one. First i thought ticket fee(adult: $40, kid: $30) was expensive. Inside first part was simple playground.but i realized there were much more inside such as epic tube slide, the tree surfing and the Sky Scramble areas. Administration didnt say anything about these. It was a big fun anyway. You wont be upset. I am sure you will be happy to be there.

Lots to see and do. All the staff had a great attitude. The grounds are large and you will need lots of energy to do tree surfing and explore all the grounds. Hopefully the tube slides get a pulley system so we don't have to drag tubes up the hill. The new hedge maze needs to be a bit higher as I could see over the top.

What an amazing time we had. The gardens were beautiful with autumn leaves. My kid loved running around the mazes, climbing up the tree houses and the slides. So many activities to keep them occupied. We spent about 3 hours there and my son didn't want to leave. The park is taken care of very well. Would definitely come back and also recommend parents to bring their kids here. Pack a little picnic!

Fantastic park which is so well maintained The gardens are beautiful and manicured, the activities are great for a good range of ages. We didn't do the tree climbing activities but the general admission included so many other activities. The skytree climbing frame is an excellent way for kids to explore and practice their climbing. Please note that the skytree climbing is limited for children under 135cm and strictly no adults are allowed on the structures. Really great day out and would love to come back for another visit

What an amazing hidden gem! Moonlit Sanctuary is truly special, tucked away in the outback area yet offering so much to enjoy. From the warm and welcoming staff to the beautiful nature, pond and animals specially Koala and Kangaroos. It’s the perfect spot for quality family time, peaceful, clean, and full of charm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing escape with loved ones! Specially Kids, they’ll love feeding Koala and Kangaroo.

A nice place to see many Australian native animals up close. They all seem very well cared for, and the park feels peaceful and pleasant to walk around. We caught a few of the keeper talks, which were interesting and educational. We spent about three hours here, including time for our elderly companion’s frequent toilet visits, lunch, and never felt rushed. The café food was delicious and reasonably priced. We bought our tickets a day before on Klook, which was slightly cheaper. We chose this park because it is not too big, just right for seniors.

We did the Behind the Scenes tour today and it was absolutely incredible! Callum was ah-maz-ing — kind, knowledgeable, and so passionate about the animals. They made the whole experience engaging and memorable from start to finish. The sanctuary itself is beautiful and clearly well cared for. My dad remembers bringing us here when we were kids, and now getting to visit again with my own son was such a special full-circle moment. It felt both nostalgic and completely fresh. Thank you, Moonlit Sanctuary and Callum, for a truly unforgettable experience!

An Unforgettable Experience at Moonlit Sanctuary, Melbourne During my visit to Moonlit Sanctuary, I had the opportunity to see Australia’s most iconic animals, koalas and kangaroos, up close, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The sanctuary offers a rare chance to connect with nature in a calm, respectful environment that highlights the importance of wildlife care and conservation. What stood out most was the genuine love and dedication the staff have for the animals. Their passion was evident in every interaction, from sharing insightful information to ensuring each animal’s well-being. The surroundings were beautifully maintained, creating a serene atmosphere that allowed visitors to appreciate the animals in their natural setting. It was more than just a visit; it was an experience that deepened my appreciation for Australia’s wildlife and the people committed to protecting it. True conservation begins with connection, and Moonlit Sanctuary embodies that beautifully.

My second visit to this incredible sanctuary was on a late Sunday morning. It was moderately crowded, but the short ticket counter queue cleared quickly. However, I highly recommend visiting during weekdays early morning to avoid the crowds. During peak times, the kangaroos and wallabies are less likely to approach you for food, as everyone is trying to feed them and they are probably full. It’s quite amusing to see people begging the kangaroos and wallabies to come and eat their food. 😂 Despite the crowds, this sanctuary still lives up to its name and is definitely one of the must-visit places in Melbourne. The koala experience is worth the extra money, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. ❤️ Visited on August 24, 2025, a Sunday.

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Sanctuary was very busy however had a lovely experience. Got to learn about the Australian wildlife and interact with the kangaroos/wallabies. Overall a terrific idea for someone to visit with kids and also those without. Spent about 3 hours overall.

This is a very nice sanctuary where you can get a koala experience (pic and petting no holding), a great one to one with Wallabies and Kangaroos and a chance to see dingos, birds and many other great once in a lifetime experiences! Definitely recommend!

Cape Schanck has amazing landscapes, dramatic volcanic features, wild beaches, and scenic walking tracks with spectacular ocean views. You can also see many wild and marine animals here. A walk here will bring true pleasure to your eyes and soul. I strongly recommend you visit this place! 🤩🌊🌋🏖️🚶‍♀️

Gorgeous place with phenomenal views. We didn’t actually enter the lighthouse but we did the coastal walk instead and walked up to the viewing deck by the lighthouse. Stunning way to spend an afternoon, and free too!! Beware the wind and cold, however, and dress yourself and your little ones accordingly! 🥶

I recently visited Cape Schanck National Park in Victoria, and it was an absolutely breathtaking experience! The drive to the park itself was scenic, with winding coastal roads offering stunning ocean views that set the tone for the adventure. Once there, I was lucky to spot some of the local wildlife — including kangaroos hopping across the bushland — which added an incredible, magical touch to the visit. The park is home to the historic Cape Schanck Lighthouse, standing tall since the 1850s, overlooking the powerful Bass Strait. I also walked down the steps to the rocky shore below. Feeling the ocean spray, hearing the waves crash against the cliffs, and taking in the rugged beauty of the coastline was an unforgettable experience. The combination of wildlife, dramatic cliffs, and pristine shoreline makes Cape Schanck perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking peace and fresh coastal air. Highly recommend visiting early to enjoy the wildlife sightings and to explore the lighthouse and shoreline at a leisurely pace. A true gem of Victoria’s coastline!

Cape Schanck Lighthouse and the surrounding trail are absolutely breathtaking! The views are just stunning — every turn offers something more beautiful than the last. We took so many photos and enjoyed every minute of our walk. This isn’t our first visit, and it definitely won’t be our last. The scenery, the fresh air, and the sense of peace make it such a special place to return to again and again. Highly recommend visiting — it’s an unforgettable experience and truly one of the most beautiful spots in Victoria!

This is one of my favourite places...going down the steps is picturesque and the challenging climb back up tests one's fitness 💪 Climbing around on the rocks when the tide is down offers the opportunity to view the monolith on the other side. I always bring my interstate visitors here 🙂

Visited during sunset and the view was absolutely stunning. The walkways are well-maintained and offer great vantage points to see the coastline and waves crashing below. The air was fresh, and the area felt peaceful despite a few tourists around. Seals could be seen from a distance, and the golden hour lighting made the whole place feel surreal. A great spot to take in nature and end the day.

One of my favorite places to come and walk about. We got to see penguins and their little homes in the hillsides. We walked the whole path and took a lot of photos. We had an amazing time. Would recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. It is very much worth the time.

WOW! Breathtaking views from every angle and best of all, free to view and capture photos of penguins returning to their nest. Be ready to be blown away 💨 as it’s windy as. Don’t forget to wear trousers and windbreaker and hold on to your hat 🌬️ worth the 1.5hr drive from the city. Would recommend to be on your list when visiting Melbourne

The walking path to the viewpoint is still fully accessible, but note that there are no toilets onsite. The closest facilities are at the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre, so it’s best to stop there first. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. No drones allowed unfortunately There’s plenty of parking on weekdays, but expect it to be busy or full on weekends.

Was a spontaneous visit to this place and it didn’t disappoint. Well equipped centre and would make a good day out for all the family. Had a gift shop, cafe and a lot of seating areas to enjoy the views both inside and outside. Had a free museum that was very informative and very engaging. Glad we stopped by.

Nobbies even though now is still officially closed for some restauration purposes the Tourist Center section. They re-opened the ramp pier agaian since only few days. It is one of the best places I love in the world. So wild,so elegant, so patronating landscape.

A super cute experience I would highly recommend all of friends to come to a visit to see the little penguin. We got the chance to stay in the experience ticket which cost more however I will say that’s really deserved because you really can see the penguin came back to the home. Also was the experience ticket you have your own bridge which you can see the penguin get back home to avoid the general tickets stand crowded.

Incredible experience, over 1000 penguins returning home every evening. We paid extra for premium plus seating and the penguins were walking right up to us. We went in June and Penguins arrived at 5:50pm. The rain held off just long enough for us to wait about an hour and half. Tip bring gloves, scarfs, raincoat and thermos in winter. It still gets very cold and windy by the water. I might add there’s no photos allowed past sunset but we got lucky and got to see this guy come back just before sunset.

We heard so much about this experience. We could not wait to see the penguins. We decided to go on a tour and the last stop in the tour was the penguin parade. It far exceeded our expectations. However, we should’ve purchased the VIP tickets for a better view. Also, I suggest having a puffer hat and a scarf because it was cold! I really loved the gift shop because there were different types of gifts, depending upon people’s preferences and multiple communities were represented too. I got the cutest tea towel and A-to-Z animals book for my baby.

Strongly recommend getting the penguin premium or plus. The viewing points are so much better. It’s pricey but totally worth it! What a wonderful visit!

Great experience at the Penguin Parade. Recommend shelling out for the Penguin Plus if you can. Bring a jacket and be prepared for it to be busy. But very well organised and clear instructions from friendly staff. Enjoyed the talk before to learn more about these amazing animals.

Our Go West tour was specifically for my wife and I to see the Penguins in their habitat and to watch the Parade. We were able take video and pictures along the boardwalk by the ocean. The boardwalk was safe for my wife to walk and we definitely enjoyed seeing the penguins; I mention this because it shows how important safety is to this organization for folks who come to visit especially if they are physically disabled or families with buggies. And seeing homes made for the little penguins and the well kept natural homes for them was amazing. When it was time to go to the visitors center we enjoyed an early dinner. May I say that with the number of guests eating at the restaurant the quality and plating of each dish we ordered was delicious and well presented. I observed your restaurant manager, Heni, take the time to look for guests whose food had been made but not picked up because they were sitting where the buzzers didn’t reach them. In all my time I’ve never seen that level of customer service before. We so enjoyed our overall experience of the penguin parade even with the rain and earlier then expected closure due to safety concerns with thunder and lightning. In addition, I am writing to let you know what an amazing group of people you have working at the Phillip Island Nature Parks. Every person we came in contact with was kind, helpful, and wonderful. Stephanie and others assisted my wife who needed the buggy down to and from the viewing platform as walking is strenuous for her; your staff assisted and made sure she had a place to view the penguin's waddling to their homes. On my walk back to the visitor center as my wife was on the buggy one of your orange vested staff shared information about the bandicoots and the story of their reemergence on the island (I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name, you were knowledgeable and friendly). And Steven, thank you for taking the time to speak with me about some of what I wrote here. Thank you all for your efforts and love for Phillip Island Nature Parks flora and fauna.

First of all, large parking area! Arrived quite early so there was ample time to go through the merchandise and showcases without the crowd. We sat at the general viewing right by the inner corner to have better viewing. Most of the penguins will arrive near the penguins plus area- when I return with my family, I would pay extra to get penguin plus experience. The penguins are quite far away to see from the general stand but later you get to see them climb up the trek in the deck. You'll see the chick's waiting on their parents which was so cute. It gets very cold so wear closed shoes/warm clothes and bring a towel/hot drinks/ hotpacks. Unfortunately some of the tourists did not comply to the rules and kept taking photos which made the penguins startled. I hope there will be a stricter rule regarding this.

Stayed in the safari tent for one night, cannot recommend highly enough. Beautiful naked wood inside, heating and cooling works great in the canvas. The deck is a great touch with a built in undercover BBQ and couch (public BBQs cost $ here). The decor is earthy and classy, staying in the safari tent is an experience. Staff are absolutely beautiful, can't fault the service at all. The park itself is very small, amenities quite old but functional. If you find yourself in a cabin, it's like stepping back into the 90's (don't hate that). Brewery and restaurant on site, and Amazenthings. Koala conservation tree walk across the road. WiFi is brilliant.

Good location central to everything. Really lovely friendly staff. We stayed here as we could take our dog which was wonderful. We stayed in a standard cabin which is quite small but we were comfortable and warm. Bed and couch comfortable and shower was good. Was pretty quiet considering it’s near the main road. Not good internet connection.

The staff are very kind and friendly. The price is good for what you get. We stayed on a powered site. It was early spring, so a bit cold at night, but the place was quiet and peaceful. The location is great, and we enjoyed 50% off mini golf. The facilities are okay, not fancy, but fine for the price. The campground is a little old, but good enough for camping.

Just stayed in the Safari tent with our two boys plus Grandpa. The facilities, activities and the whole place is fantastic. Will definitely be checking out their other locations and booking with Park Lane from now on. Make sure you have a round of mini golf and if the kids are brave enough to check out the sky trail!!

Wonderful last-minute getaway – and dog friendly! We had a fantastic overnight stay in the Glamping Pods and couldn’t be happier. The pod was spotless, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly spacious – even with our medium-sized dog. We brought our own dog bed and there was plenty of room to sleep comfortably. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to bring our dog. It’s such a relief to find pet-friendly accommodation in Victoria, especially when so many places in Australia are still oddly restrictive compared to Europe, where dogs are welcome almost everywhere. The location was perfect too – we explored a few nearby dog-friendly beaches and had a great time. Not the best photo, but I’ve included one for reference. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed on an unpowered site for two nights. We booked this caravan park as they advertised as being allowed fire pits. When we arrived we were told there was a total fire ban on the island but when we googled the fire rating on the island it said low rating, clearly it was just the caravan park rules. The camp kitchen was filthy and barely usable – calling it a “kitchen” is a serious stretch. As for the toilets and showers - seriously outdated and no where to put your clothes. They also provided Porta potties. Yes, you read that right. We had to pay to use the bbq facilities. What a joke. For the price we paid, it’s a total insult.

Honestly, the best staff and services provided. Made us feel like we went to a grandparents' house to get spoilt 😂 Thank you Alex and everyone for making our stay so super friendly, thank you for your generosity and care. Location is supreme, too.

Koala Conservation Reserve provides a wealth of interesting information about koalas. The koalas live in very natural environments, mostly sleeping high up in the trees. Our group was very lucky to spot one resting on the timber, and we enjoyed a wonderful show featuring this super cute koala!

Visited yesterday and had a wonderful time! The staff were incredibly kind and even took the time to point out the koalas to us. It was heartwarming to see both the staff and volunteers so passionate about what they do. Unfortunately, we came a notice about a missing koala, which was really sad to hear but we were glad to see that many dedicated volunteers were out searching high and low for it…Hope that the lovely koala is found safe and sound! Highly recommend to visit!

Bushland Escape / Koala Conservation Reserve This reserve offers a fantastic glimpse into Australian wildlife. We saw koalas on the two elevated treetop boardwalks which wind through the eucalyptus forest. The koalas were generally still—moving a paw slightly, then going right back to sleep—but it was wonderful to see them in their natural habitat. Beyond the main koala viewing area, the rest of the trails are natural bushland, perfect for spotting more active animals like wallabies, echidnas, and various native birds. A fun fact for wildlife enthusiasts: if you're very lucky (or perhaps unlucky!), you might spot a Copperhead snake. They are endemic to Phillip Island and are venomous, but they are very shy and generally avoid people.

If you prefer a natural environment to see the wild animals, this is the place to go. No staff are there to control the Koala, so you need to pay 100% attention to spot them. Not too crowded compared to other zoo. Easy access with lots of free parking.

The Koala Conservation Reserve is an amazing place to get up close with Australia’s iconic koalas! The walking trails are peaceful and well-maintained, allowing you to observe these adorable creatures in a natural, safe environment. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting facts about koalas and their habitat. It’s both educational and heartwarming — a must-visit for wildlife lovers and families alike!

Saw lots of koalas in amore natural setting than many wildlife parks. We also saw wallabies and lots of birds. Lovely way to while away a couple of hours.

What a wonderful experience. The koalas were way cuter and fascinating than I had imagined. Saw an echidna too. It takes a while to get used to finding koalas up in the trees, so a ranger kept little boards pointing to where they were. Wish there were fewer humans too. Noisy.

Such a fun place to visit! The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory is a great experience for both kids and adults. The displays are really creative. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and of course the chocolate is absolutely delicious, so many varieties to try and take home. A must visit spot if you’re on the island!

I am giving them 2 stars because: 1. Chocolate quality is so low compared to high quality ones such as Haigh's. It tastes like it is 70% sugar, a touch of chocolate tase and milk. I tasted theur chocolate shot and 70% dark, they were both too sweet. The dark obe was so full of sugar that I gave it away. 2. It was Sunday and there were almost 40 cars, but to everyone's shock, there was only one lady serving all the customers in the shop. She was so busy and stressed, but still nice. Then another lady who was working at the cafe, left the cafe to help the store assistant out. It is unacceptable for a business at that size. 3. Chocolates are unreasonably priced compared to the quality and size. I wish they take these into account.

It was a fun experience for both adults and children! Tickets are sold at $23 for adults and the physical ticket given is a chocolate that you can eat. The visit starts with an introductory history to how chocolate is made, followed by interesting displays of "how chocolates are made by penguins" in Panny's chocolate factory. There are interactive games which you can play with the 10 credits which comes with each ticket. If you win the wooden ball from the games, you can exchange it for a chocolate before you exit. There's also the factory tour where no photos and videos are allowed but staff will explain to you how chocolates are being made. Overall it was a fun experience!

Nice place to visit and lots of fun, but it can get pretty crowded on holidays. The chocolate is good and the displays are cool, just try to come on a weekday if you want to avoid the crowd.

Highly recommend visiting the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory! Everything was set up beautifully from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. The tour was really informative — we learned so much about the chocolate-making process in a fun and engaging way. It’s a very family-friendly place and definitely suitable for kids. There’s so much to see and do, and the interactive displays kept everyone entertained. The arcade games were a huge hit — they made the visit so much more fun, and winning chocolate is always a bonus! Toilets are available both at reception and inside the factory, which was really convenient when visiting with little ones. A perfect day out for families — we’ll definitely be back!

Chocolate prices are not cheap $19 for a small packet of chocolate buttons. I saw nobody buying any chocolates from your shop... Everything is for display only because nobody wants to pay this much for little chocolate. Also, the chocolate tour was busy with tourists which is $24.00. Clean rest rooms. Theres a cafe also and have robots bringing you the food but followed by the waiter/waitress as they need to serve the dishes and place them onto the customers tables. Friendly staff at the cafeteria. Nice menu

A clean, organised little exhibit. Great for kids. It's interactive and our girls had so much fun looking at the displays, trains and games. Would recommend.

It was a nice sunny afternoon walk with no wind. Headed over to the local for a quick beverage before heading back over the bridge. Some easy steps to navigate on the south end.

It’s a trestle bridge that was once used as a rail line but is now a core part of a great rail trail! The views from the bridge are amazing but in this reviewer’s opinion the best views are of the bridge from various vantage points. Well work stopping by on your way through the region and why not stop at the pub or general store for lunch too!

Historic bridge. Its amazing how this trestle bridge was built in the past. The structural design is genius how the timber support each other. There is a nice walk along the beach and rock pools. The water is so clean and clear here. Perfect turquoise water.

The view of the bridge provides a scenic view from the ground with ocean in the background. But the real gem is the view from atop the bridge when sun sets.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend joining the guided tour, which runs twice a day and lasts a bit over an hour. Staff here are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Besides the tour, make sure to leave about an hour to explore the free museum area. It features a great collection of tools and equipment once used by miners. The whole area feels like a mini historical village, with a miner’s house, a post office, a blacksmith’s shop and more. Some of the garden beds even have real vegetables growing like apples, lemons, pumpkins and capsicums. You can really see the effort the staff have put in. The tour guide was very attentive, always checking in with the group and giving clear, hands-on explanations of the displays inside the mine. When all the lights were turned off, I could truly feel how hard it must have been to work in complete darkness back then. The only downside is that some parts of the park, especially around the coal mining displays, have been damaged quite a bit by bird droppings. Since these exhibits are very educational, I hope they can be better maintained going forward.

Amazing venue that gives good insight into the lives and environment of coal miners around 100 years ago. Didn't do the tour as our children are too young, but walking around the site and viewing exhibits was amazing considering the free entry. Highly recommended.

State Coal Mine, tour was a fascinating experience. The underground tour offered a unique opportunity to see coal in its natural state and learn about the mine's history from the knowledgeable guide. The mine is well-preserved, and both kids and adults will find it enjoyable. It's recommended to spend an hour exploring the sheds and houses above ground and another hour on the underground tour. Make sure to wear enclosed shoes, as it can be slippery inside the mine.

What an amazing place ! We were very impressed with the Wonthaggi State Coal mine! We didn't do the mine tour but still spent almost 3 hours there just wandering plus having afternoon tea. Firstly the grounds and buildings are free to enter and you can take as long as you like to enjoy it all. I was amazing at how well kept and maintained every piece of this place was. It's an absolute credit to anyone involved in the upkeep. The mine tour is a paid option and we only wish now we had organised ourself better and don't the tour as well. Luckily we started with afternoon tea in the cafe because we ended up wandering around for so long taking in all there was to see that we needed our full tummies to begin with. The coffee and homemade slices were not only amazing but reasonably priced and large portions as well. We tried the milk shake, chocolate brownie, Snickers slice and wheat free caramel slice. The 4 us agreed everything was 10/10 for the slices. I'll definitely be returning to the State Coal mine with family and friends as well as recommending it to others.

It was a great experience to go on the tour on just a very small area of the over 4000km underground mine. The working conditions in the past were so tough and unimaginable for the miners, and other mine workers. It was an eye- opener to understand what the true cost was of running steam trains in Australia.

This was such a nice pitstop to do during our stay in Cape Paterson and Inverloch. We really enjoyed seeing everything and the animals! The staff were lovely and kind with the information about the underground tour running times etc! It was great to see and read about the history of the area!

We attended the moonlight stories show in the night. It’s EXTRAORDINARY!!! The light and the music were amazing!!!

Lovely classic style lighthouse, however views over the ocean from the ground are obscured by foliage.

A great addition to the tulip farm visit. The lighthouse is close by 1km and provides a great view of the lake and surrounding countryside.

So beautiful along the coast. You can drive up even though it's closed through the week.

Lovely walk from Lighthouse to Table Cape much more relaxing than driving between the 2! 20min stroll each way even dallying to snap photos. Path being upgraded so safe for anyone other than true tearaways. One pitch up/down to take care but I am not fitness freak and enjoyed it!!

We stopped here to checkout the lighthouse before going around to the lookout to enjoy the views. You can have a tour of the lighthouse if your there at the right time. You may want to enjoy the short walk from either if you like to park at one and walk to the other. There are picnic tables at each site if you like to stop for lunch or a snack and enjoy the view.

Not a lot to see - but good views over the neighbouring tulip farm and lake. Nice picnic benches but no real view of the sea, and no other services.

Very cool place to see lots of gorgeous unique art work, beautiful gifts too. Wall of paper so darn cool, & the paper mache life size figurines WOW, highly recommend visiting & the pictures made from magazines.... Mind blowing 💗💗💗

A highlight of Burnie, a place where you can view and purchase local artisans wares. Also has a good tourist information and Papermaking workshop,...Definitely worth doing. Cafe is busy and average price.

Well worth a visit to watch many various arts and crafts being made. There's also a pictorial history of Burnie and a couple of really interesting installations.

Kids throughly enjoyed the paper making tour inside. Learnt alot and even dicided to purchase a paper making kit after the tour. Our tour guide was full of knowledge about all things paper. Would recomend if your in the area and if the weather is not great, as was our case, perfect indoor activity. Also has art work and various other stores.

Made paper, looked at restored coal loader made in Burnie. Little penguins are located by board walk. Local artists display their art. Very interesting.

A must see when in Burnie. Take a paper making tour and see how paper is made. The Makers' Workshop has very helpful and friendly staff, especially Darren on the paper making tour; he's very knowledgeable and passionate about the paper making process and it shows; an asset to the place. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the process. You also get the chance to make paper at the end, awesome experience.

What an amazing place! It’s bursting with color and textures everywhere you look. I was thrilled to spot two adorable platypuses in different lakes—such a fun surprise! The staff were incredibly friendly and shared some wonderful stories about the grounds that made the visit even more special.

Was $15 entry which surprised me at first, but after walking through grounds you can tell that they’re well looked after. Also saw a few platypus’ and pademelons which was cool! I didn’t eat at the cafe but it smelt amazing when I walked past.

Lovely little spot, $15 per adult without concession, very nice spot for a wander, spent around 2 hours here wandering about admiring the plants, bugs and little creatures. Quite enjoyed watching the bumblebees flying around gathering their pollen. But also was lucky spotting a Potoroo and what appeared to be an eastern barred bandicoot. Very nice would visit again.

Went for the Autumn Spectacular and it lived up to the name. Truly spectacular!! The colours were just incredible. Definitely recommend spending a couple of hours walking through the gardens, around the lake and just taking it all in.

Beautiful gardens and lovely cafe for a Devonshire tea afterwards! Highly recommend you partake in both the walk and the scones.

We were a couple of many visitors viewing this garden, which showcases a spectacular array of Rhododendrons, annuals and perennials in an entire range of colours. The displays in early November are a “must see” and everywhere is an eruption of blooms. A highlight of northern Tassie.

Started with lunch, excellent. We then strolled down to where the platypuses were. Then we went up and around and and should have taken a map. So many sights to see. Coming back again when they are in full bloom.

Very easy to access, well set up BBQ area and park. Great place for a family lunch with a very scenic back drop. Stunning 😍

A hidden gem near Burnie! The short walk to the falls is easy and refreshing, and the scenery is absolutely stunning—especially after some rain when the water really flows. There’s a lovely picnic area at the top and even a viewing platform for great photos. Peaceful, clean, and perfect for a quick nature escape.

Absolutely lovely find! Its beautiful from any angle, free, and easy access. If you have trouble with stairs I recommend parking at the lower area and walking up a gentle incline to get a view from below.

Well worth the drive. Easy viewing of the Falls, the carpark is directly above the Falls with picnic tables and lawn.

Guide Falls is an absolute gem! The falls themselves are stunning. The area is well-maintained, with clean picnic spots and easy walking tracks that make it accessible for visitors. The walk to the falls is short and pleasant, surrounded by lush greenery that really adds to the experience. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful escape into nature. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the North West area.

Another pretty waterfall that you can easily drive to within a couple of minutes walk.
