Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree

Hiking area
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Been wanting to go to this place, and once I arrived, I had to climb the tree straight away. There was another group, but no queue in mid-October. The first platform (10m) is already high, and the top platform was closed at that time. I'm 164cm and I can rest my knee on the metal rod comfortably when I climb up or down when I need a little break. I wore a small backpack and it's fine, but if it's bigger, you can get stuck while climbing. Make sure you don't drop your phone if you put it in your pocket. There's no safety net, so it really on you to focus on climbing, and if in doubt, maybe try climbing some and decide if you want to keep going or not. Great experience, great view, must try if you're not afraid of heights!
Honest K — Google review
Easy to find. Looked a bit scared but wasn't too bad in the end. Climbing is only available to the first platform, roughly mid-way up the tree but still that's fairly high up. Great experience.
Thomas ( — Google review
The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree offers an exciting climb with incredible views. At 75 metres, it’s a real challenge, but totally worth it. If climbing isn’t your thing, there are also short and long walking trails through beautiful Karri forest. A great spot for both adventure and relaxation!
Lea L — Google review
This massive Karri tree is worth visiting just to see, but if you are fit and brave enough, you can climb the spikes spiraling up the perimeter of the giant. At present (mid 2025), the spikes end at an observation deck 20 meters above the ground. The plan is to extend the spikes to a higher structurally sound platform. Please be very careful, and please take care of the tree. Access to the site is easy, just a few minutes of easy walking from the car park.
Marsha R — Google review
Don't have a fear of heights! But so well worth the climb! The fairy wrens were put in full force, multiple little groups and very brave.
Christopher B — Google review
Be careful when going up the tree. There are no safety nets to catch you if you fall through! Only the first platform was open but we didn't make it up so high. Great experience tho!
Debbie N — Google review
If your scard of heights don't recommend you climb it. Otherwise take your time about 20 metres to the top.
Darren G — Google review
This is worth a look see around. We climbed up a little however it was raining so we didn't chance it.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Gloucester Tree, located in the Gloucester National Park of Western Australia, is a towering karri tree standing at 53 meters high. As the world's second-tallest fire-lookout tree, it offers visitors the thrilling opportunity to climb up to a platform nestled within its upper branches and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding karri forest canopy. Although climbing may be challenging for some due to its height and spiral ladder-like pegs, those who conquer it are rewarded with an unforgettable experience.
It is a lovely place to walk around even though cannot climb the tree. It is no longer safe to climb anymore if you talked to the park ranger instead of making judgment by self. There is a national park fee required. If you have the annual national park pass, then you are good to go like us. We got lots of information from the lady from the entrance.
MeeLian R — Google review
Beautiful spot just out of Pemberton, easy to access just a short drive from town. You can't climb Gloucester Tree anymore but still worth checking out
Shelby N — Google review
The Gloucester Tree is a fascinating place to visit and a big part of WA’s history. I came here early in 2021 when it was still open for climbing — trying to going up that tall karri tree was an unforgettable and slightly nerve-wracking experience! By mid-2023 it was under maintenance when I came to visit, and now it’s no longer safe to climb. Still, walking around the area is still impressive, surrounded by tall karri trees that make the forest feel so peaceful and majestic. Even without the climb, it’s a great spot to stop, take a walk, and soak in the natural beauty. *photos from 2021
Titian R — Google review
Great place / zipline Park is fantastic. Friendly people. We walked to the Gloucester Tree after our lunch at Chefingo's @The Forest Lodge Resort. It's only 1 k walk through the Forest Aboritum. We enjoyed the place and had great food at Chefingo's.
Ingo M — Google review
I went there on a Saturday morning and decided to go up at a slow pace and stop as I needed. It was really good experience and really nice views from the top. It gets windy up there but doesn't feel unsafe at all from the platform. I recommend proper shoes to feel comfy all the way.
Maud C — Google review
So much fun, if you are alright with heights then your going to be able to climb the tree and see the view from up on the platform. If heights are not your thing there are plenty of lovely walk trails and a spot to have a BBQ.
Bryce T — Google review
Do it, the youngsters climb the 52 metres to the platform really quick. It took me a while longer and it was worth it. Great view, and when you consider this was an actual look out tower, this is a bit of modern Australian history. Note: sturdy footware recommended.
Jason W — Google review
The Gloucester Tree is a 53 metre tree near the town of Pemberton, WA. It is located within a national park and can be climbed. The cost of admission is the regular national park entry fee. There is NO HARNESS and only a bit of wire "mesh" to keep you from falling so it can definitely be a dangerous adventure. However, nobody has ever died from a fall there and the views from the top are absolutely spectacular. The climb is NOT recommended for children/any unfit person, however, anybody is welcome to give it a go. The climb is strenuous and very steep and is near vertical for a good chunk of the ascent. If you aren't totally freaked out by heights, give this a go because it's an incredible experience!

Scenic Railroads
The Pemberton Tramway Company offers a nostalgic journey through the deep forests and picturesque countryside of Western Australia. The tourist railway recreates the history of timber railways, using paid and voluntary staff to operate diesel hydraulic trams along a 10km route. Visitors can also experience climbing the Gloucester Tree, a towering karri tree in Gloucester National Park, for breathtaking views of the surrounding forest.
Hubby and I visited the Pemberton tramway during our stay down south and did the tour into the forest. Our tram driver Peter was professional and friendly and gave an informative and engaging commentary on the way to the cascades. We loved seeing the forest and cascades and had such an enjoyable time overall. We highly recommended this experience to anyone passing through town.
Jayde S — Google review
Fabulous! A truly immersive experience for all ages and interests. Journey on the historic tram to the Cascades waterfalls, explore for a while then journey back. Bravo to the team who operate and maintain these historic tram. Gift shop has many treasures- bring a gold coin to donate for tea/coffee. Blankets provided to keep knees warm. Loved this experience
Libby C — Google review
One of the highlights of Pemberton is the tram ride. A really quaint and beautiful ride for both myself and my woofy. The entire journey was so friendly and warm and the tram drivers were just the best! Thank you for a truly memorable experience! A must do for anyone visiting the area and a great way to support the local community.
Hetal T — Google review
A magical ride through towering Karri forests! 🌲 The Pemberton Tramway blends history, nature, and charm with stunning views and engaging commentary. Loved the stop at the Cascades—peaceful and unforgettable. A must-do experience in WA’s southwest! 🚋✨
Matt P — Google review
This is a beautiful experience that is a must do for anyone visiting Pemberton. Such a novel way to visit the cascades and enjoy Pembertons historic town. The views are stunning, the people are lovely and the journey was worth every cent! I highly recommend 👌
Tez P — Google review
A lovely historic trip on a tram into the Karri Forrest stopping at the Cascades water feature. Our driver was very passionate about the tram and the local history. Told us all his stories and more. We booked in advance as it is pretty popular departing from the old station. It’s not a fast journey but allows you plenty of time to immerse yourself in the trees and the history. The Cascades after all the recent rain were a sight to behold.
Shaun L — Google review
A nice trip to the Cascade with couple of bridge crossings with natural environment. Loco pilot explains about the history of the Pemberton tramway and its surroundings. An epic journey to the water streams surrounded by nature. Really worth it!!
Abhi K — Google review
⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Pemberton Tramway was such a lovely experience! The ride takes you through the stunning Karri forest with plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. The highlight was definitely stopping at the cascades, the sound of the running water and the peaceful atmosphere made it unforgettable. The commentary along the way was informative too, giving insight into the history of the area. A great activity for all ages!

Big Brook Dam Foreshore & Picnic Area

Nature & Parks
Dams
Beaches
If you are after a good workout and like challenging off road bike rides maybe take the rainbow trail from Pemberton to the Big Brook Dam. The trail starts from Pump hill road on the western side of the creek on the eastern side of the road. Look for the small yellow triangle trail marks with the rainbow serpent logo. It’s about 5.2 km and it took us at least 1 hour on our e-bikes, but we had to push our bikes up most of the steep hilly sections. It was worth it, the bush is beautiful tiger snakes included, and the lovley smooth asphalt path circumnavigating the dam is very nice. There is even a white sand beach with refreshing mountain stream swimming 🥶
Athfos — Google review
Beautiful lake amongst a beautiful hard wood forrest with a well paved circuit walk along the lake.
Quentien H — Google review
Best swimming hole in Pemberton. Lovely outlook to a forest of trees. Water clear and refreshing. Nature at its finest. 🥰
Wanda T — Google review
A beautiful spot. Nice area to stop for a picnic, go for a walk or run around the lake on a sealed 4km track, or just splash about on the little sandy beach. Water is fresh but not too cold. Very nice.
Thomas ( — Google review
Picnic area with beautiful dam, with facilities too.
Dang A — Google review
Nice scenery here. You can have a walk around the lake and also go to have a close look at the dam and walk across it. There is a small beach area for you to have a swim. Looks safe for kids. There are also some picnic benches around the grassed area. There is a public toilet here. But beware that it does not seem to have shower facilities.
Charles S — Google review
Stunning area, photos can’t show off how tall and grand the trees look. It’s a dirt track in but very well maintained and 2wd will have no issues. Area has plenty of paved parking along with a bonus of toilets and many picnic tables.

What a delight to visit this store! ‘Higgelty piggelty’ - with little sections to visit in everywhere, outdoors and in. Starting with the beautiful garden with camellia flowers leading down to the whimsical gingerbread house. Ducks roaming the gardens just add to the charm of this beauty. Inside - so many gorgeous items I’ve not seen in many (any) other stores- a very large Christmas deco section (in July!), jewellery, garden items, kitchen items. Too much to list! Ladies working were charming and friendly - telling us about the history of the store and who it was named after. So glad we stopped by!

Who doesn’t love a lolly shop - especially one that sells our sought after scotch tablet! (Thankyou!) Love the decorative colourful tree upon entry. All your favourite lollies/candys plus some, in addition to Dr Pepper in the fridge.
Aly M — Google review
My husband and I always stop in whenever we are in the area. The range is always amazing and the prices are great. The staff are incredibly friendly and know their candy and give great recommendations. We are so glad that the new location is turning out really well with a short walk to the playground. Loving the new colour scheme.
Rebecca — Google review
I have been visiting this shop, whenever I pass through Bridgetown, for over 10 years. You can always find something in this shop that will transport you back to your childhood. Such an extensive selection of sweets, chocolates and lollies from all over the world. Service is also outstanding from owners Rochelle & Damien. Can't wait to return to this hidden gem on our next visit to Bridgetown.
Kerry B — Google review
This is definitely where the saying, 'like a kid in a candy store comes from'! Crazy. So much choice! 😋
Anne F — Google review
Luckily, even though it’s a public holiday, Ooh La Lollipop in Bridgetown is still open and they even open early! I bought some sweets for my road trip. They were very friendly, lovely outfit.

A wonderful experience from the moment you open the door. A kids paradise off lollies. Lovely friendly lady have us some local pointers as well.

Do make sure you stop by this pinkiest and happiest place when in Bridgetown! It's a place that will put a smile on your face and trust me, you will have a hard time choosing what and how many to buy 🤪 I also found a few candies that you can't find at Woolies or Coles. The lady owner is extremely helpful and friendly and even let me go behind her counter to take a picture from that angle. Love this place!

Definitely don’t come here. It’s a beautiful, peaceful pool to relax outside of Nannup. Perfect for a relaxing cool-down after a morning on the trails. Nice calm spot to practice some kayaking, SUP or your backflips off the platform. You’d probably hate it and then there will be more room for me. :)
Andrew D — Google review
Mowen Rd, Nannup, Western Australia 6253, Australia. A beautiful little spot. The water was inviting and clean (however can be a little chill). Even has toilets. We were also told by some locals that they don’t know how deep it is ‘it’s bottomless’. They have even tried to measure it with string. Attached to Timberline walk trail.
K L — Google review
Fantastic swimming spot for the family. The road in is accessible by any car but it’s super rough and bumpy. Could do with some improvements by the shire but other than that, the pool is awesome. Has good amount of parking but gets busy on warm days. Bush toilets available too.
Lyndon G — Google review
Absolutely beautiful spot to camp or hike, with different length and difficulty trails.
Cara F — Google review
A gorgeous spot for swimming. There are picnic tables, long drop toilet and some walking trails
Kylie S — Google review
A lovely place to cool down on a warm day. Easy drive for 2WD vehicles. Parking is limited, so be mindful of busy / holiday weekends. Well built pool deck and plenty of shaded structures. Barbeques and tables.
Vaughan S — Google review
Wonderful location. The pool is stunning (although I'm not sure I would want to swim in it) and the wildlife amazing. The campsite is compact with good bush toilets. Just be mindful that none of the spots are level. Made it a little less comfortable.
Imogen W — Google review
Reached this place as the light was failing, but my goodness - what a beautiful and serene pool. Would I want to go for a swim here? Probably not as it was July and it was freezing enough as it was. Plus, I think there's a dead snake floating over there. Nonetheless, I can spend hours here even though I'd skip the dip.

Such a gorgeous spot! Words cannot describe how beautiful it is. There are a few different walks that are available depending on how long you want to be there for. Each walk is breathtaking. The autumn colours are gorgeous. Reds, yellows, oranges, green, the trees are just full of colour.

Very well maintained with detailed information on plant 🪴 species. Photography: Excellent 👌 Colourful view: Perfect 🤩 **No entry fees** Volunteered donation option** Please visit website for details. Plentiful of parking 🅿️ & toilets 🚽 Three different tracks.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place! The autumn colours were glorious. Short paved path was suitable for wheelchair. Toilets with grab bar another asset. Will come back in spring.

This was our second visit here, but this time the season was just right for the amazing view and colours. A few different trails take you to different parts with different trees and colours.

Nice place for a stroll, have been in Autumn & it was spectacular with the leaves changing colour and falling. This time late October it's still pretty but there is a lot of sheep roaming in there & you have to keep your eyes on the ground because the droppings are all over the paths & difficult to avoid! Wear an old pair of shoes. They have long drop toilets & picnic areas.

Amazing! Loved every bit. The cheese is of course incredible, staff are lovely, stayed in the Bush Cottages, it was so sweet and beautiful, cheese platter on arrival, marshmallows for hot chocolate (it’s the small things that make a stay). Comfy beds, peace and calm on the verandah looking at the sheep and wildlife while completely devouring cheese platters! Sheep milking was very interesting, dogs were gorgeous and so hard working, got to pet King and Oliver. A great weekend, we will be back…a lot 🥰⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful cheeses. Sheep and cows cheese are absolutely delicious! Also has other custom-made gifts and handmade coffee mugs.
Magdalene F — Google review
Lovely staff with great customer service. Did a little cheese sampling and could really taste the uniqueness of the cheese. Very friendly toward our kids and even offered the brave one a sample (cheese was a bit too strong for the kids, but great for mum and dad). Great sampling of other local products. Almost missed it but saw their sign as we were driving through and decided to stop by. Glad we did!
Timothy S — Google review
Lovely place, lovely cheese! We were given 4 different cheeses to taste- soft to hard, and mostly cow. Absolutely tasty, and we ended up buying the Camembert home :) and polished the whole thing with crackers, wine, and pizza in 2-3 days! 🤭
Priscilla P — Google review
Wonderful cheeses, and a good array of other local products from the area (chocolate, honey, dried fruit, kitchen items like handmade mugs and cool cheese knives made from old Nannup saw blades). Really nice atmosphere. There are a couple tables out front to sit at, and also a small play area for kids off to the side. They do cheese tastings. An essential visit for us any time we're in the area. Consider bringing a freezer bag and freezer blocks with you if you intend to buy cheese but aren't heading home for a few more hours, as is often the case if you're out and about checking out all the wonderful produce in the region!
Wendy W — Google review
Had no idea we’d be able to try the best cheese on the way somewhere. Wonderful to know about sheep cheese and how great it tastes when I didn’t even know people eat sheep milk. The blue cheese wasn’t too smelly but tasted amazing. Highly recommend.
Susie S — Google review
This was a little gem hiding behind trees. First thing we saw was their Clydesdale, his name is Ollie. Then into their shop where they sell cheese made from sheep and goats that they milk on farm twice a day. They get cow milk from another farm close by. They also sell sheep and goat milk which is expensive compared to what you buy from the shop BUT it's fresh with cream on top. They also sell some other knick knacks. A lovely place and so glad we stopped 🙂

A favourite on the list when in Margs.. gorgeous cafe surrounds by beautiful gardens and wildlife. Cafe serves sweets and simple savory dishes. They also have on site a retail store and wine tastings. Our favourites, you can’t go past their fluffy scones, boysenberry pie or a choice of cakes. Coffee tastes great too. Excellent value for money, hands down! Chips were awesome, beef burger was sensational, veggie tarts were huge and awesome and kids platter was excellent! Will definitely come back!

Amazing. A peaceful, little hideaway in tranquillity surrounded by nature. That alone, 5 ⭐️ On top of that the food was quality and has obvious care put into what's made. The staff, happy, friendly and positive. I muddled up a couple of things, management overheard and even helped out when they didn't need to. Thank you for making this place feel special.

The Berry Farm is a must-visit every time we’re in Margaret River. We stopped by the café and enjoyed delicious hot chai made with their own house spice blend—so warming and fragrant. The boysenberry pie with ice cream was a standout (as always), and the cheese and ham toasty on gluten-free bread was perfectly satisfying. We also tried the vegan coconut berry slice, which was a lovely sweet treat. Afterwards, we did a wine tasting. They currently offer a selection of just three tastings, which was fine—we already knew what we liked, and it was great to revisit our favorites. Charming as ever, The Berry Farm continues to be a highlight of our trips down south!

Visited the Berry Farm cafe this morning for brunch. We were so impressed by the lovely staff, beautiful setting and great food. We had a few questions and the staff were so attentive and happy to help. Everyone was smiling they must have a great leader.

A fantastic spot for a family lunch! The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and perfect for all ages. We loved the wide variety of dishes, which made it easy for everyone to find something they enjoyed. The staff were attentive and welcoming, adding to the relaxed, friendly vibe. Highly recommend for a satisfying and stress-free family meal!

Great place to visit with kids! Spacious playground, farm animals, nice cafe (and bar!) with perfect menu. Definitely will come to this place again before our short holiday ending.

We have been to Berry Farm many times. Today for the amazing, warm, fluffy scones. And yes, you must get 2 each. Trust me. The only improvement I could ask for is to use clotted cream, to remind me of home.

The Margaret River Visitor Centre is conveniently located and well signposted, making it easy to find. The center offers a VR experience for visitors to explore caves and lighthouses, as well as a screen for navigating through maps. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, providing recommendations for wine tasting venues, lunch spots, itineraries for day trips, and scenic walks. Additionally, the center has clean facilities and a range of lovely gifts available for purchase.
Kudos to Chantel for helping me organize my successful day of experiencing the region. With a map in front of us, she highlighted where I could find the best chocolate, visit Surfers Point, a top surfing destination in the world, where competition wind surfing was happening, Lake Cave and suggesting Olio Bello for lunch (olive grower as well). Final tip she had - try Mai Tardi, the new gelato shop in town, if I liked gelato. Chantel was 100% on the day! Thanks for a day of fabulous memories!

So helpful! We are staying in the area for a few days and looking to make the most of our time. Sophie was awesome in understanding our needs are directing us to some different winery and nature experiences.
Paul W — Google review
We were given a booklet on the local caves. This booklet turned out to be out of date. The times for one adventure cave was wrong and another one had been closed for several years. And so we missed out on doing one of these adventure caves. When we went back and told the attendant she took no responsibility and in fact blamed the publishers of the booklet. She explained that they only use the big pamphlets on the front desk. And yet we were given the out of date booklet. Giving incorrect information is one thing. Denying any responsibility and refusing to correct the issue takes it to a new level of incompetence.

Chantal was so helpful!! She booked a tour for us and gave us lots of information about what to see and where to go, fitting in with our interests. Thanks so much

You’ll get all the information for Margaret River events, excursions and scenic places you want and need from there. Free local maps and lots of leaflets are available too. Also bookings can be done there eg like the great Bushtuckertours…

Margaret river needs an UBER service the taxi company now is not good or even reliable like other people have commented this is a winery region even just going out on the high st to support local venues you can’t get back to ur hotel or home The taxi company will go for the biggest fare first

TECHNOLOGY TO HELP! A great centre for visitors. WHY? - Has a VR experience that visitors can use to experience the caves and lighthouse - there is a screen which you can navigate through and as if you were on your phone looking at google maps. - the toilets were clean - staff were friendly - it had a range of lovely gifts for souvenirs - lots of tours and wineries advertised through posters and pamphlets

Brookwood Estate Winery in Margaret River is a charming destination with amiable personnel, delectable cuisine, and superb wine. The CabernetShiraz blend is particularly delightful. The Rosemary Fries accompanied by Aioli are truly scrumptious. All the dishes on their tasting menu, such as prawn&chorizo, Asian Chicken, and Pulled Pork, come highly recommended. Moreover, they offer freshly baked bread and provide games on the lawn to entertain children.
Lovely spot with friendly staff, delicious food, awesome wine. Loved the CabernetShiraz blend. At the restaurant the Rosemary Fries with Aioli was delicious. All the dishes from the tasting menu was fabulous - prawn&chorizo, Asian Chicken, Pulled Pork all recommended. Freshly baked bread. Games on the lawn to keep the kids busy. We will return.

If you go to the Margaret River than Brookwood Estate is definitely a place to visit. Very friendly staff, wine is very special and taste great! There is no much choice to eat - more just a tapas. We had pulled pork and it was yummy! Highly recommended to spend couple hours with a pretty view and a bottle of wine!

What a superb place. First visit to this relaxed cafe/restaurant. The weather in late November is mild and ideal for sitting on the deck enjoying the sweeping views across the vines. I had the aracini starter and rib beef and my wife had the duck and tiramisu. Very tasty. My wife especially enjoyed the duck. I just thoroughly enjoyed the view and atmos. We'll be back.

Absolutely standout cellar door experience and the true definition of a hidden gem. We found this by chance, while travelling in the area and were blown away by Fil, the service, wines and vibes. The grounds are stunning with plenty of parking, and roundabout driveway entrance (aka you can drive your big rig through here). The grounds are all designed and landscaped by the family I believe and they've done an outstanding job. The for the wines. A great selection, personal tasting and super fun and chatty, friendly atmosphere. Add this to the great olive oils and boutique feel, you can't leave here without feeling like you must return again.

WHAT A HIDDEN TREASURE & OUR NEW FAVOURITE WINERY!! Day one of our honeymoon: My new hubby, Benno, arranged the most magical day for us through Pop A Cork Tours (Ferguson), and on our list, unbeknownst to me, was the most exceptional place, “Barrecas Wines.” We were greeted with warmth and kindness from the moment we walked in, coupled with genuine conversation—not that stilted awkward chit-chat you get at some places! As it turned out, we were talking to one of the owners, Kelly! We loved hearing about how the family business started and just chatting like we were old friends as we went through the cellar door. Oh, and my hubby, Ben, happened to spot a product of Barrecas, (their olive oil), which we had already been using and loved! Kelly, we love your vineyard, with its beautiful grounds and massive, tiered fountain; it’s so picturesque! Ben and I cannot believe that Barrecas do not already cater for weddings! This needs your goal! With your beautiful heart and fantastic personality, we know you and your husband will go all the way! See you soon! Benno & Nae.

Wandered into Barrecas and was impressed with wonderful customer service. And then even more impressed with the fortified muscat wine. Has to be my most favourite evening drink. Not sold across Australia so I have it sent to me. The slightly spice vintage. Is delicious as well.

One of our favourite winery experiences we’ve had in southern WA. A humble, little, family oriented cellar door with great wines at great value. Kelly made us and our little pup feel very welcomed! We will be back!
Jack F — Google review
On a trip down south this week we stopped at Barreca's to try some wine and we were not disappointed. We left feeling very well looked after with 4 bottles of wine under our arm and continued on our trip. Fast forward 3 days later and all of our wine had been consumed so we ventured back to get some more for our return to Perth. Delicious wine, fabulous service, a good variety and very well priced. Thank you guys for an amazing experience. 10/10

We were lucky to visit Barrecas Wines on a rainy Monday a couple of weeks ago. Everything about this family run winery is beautiful - the wines, the olive oil, and we had a magic time going through the available wines with Kelly. Everything is worked on the estate, from vine to bottle, a true testament to the dedication of the Barrecas family. We cracked their Barbera tonight and it is as brilliant as it was at the cellar door - you always love it most at the cellar door! We’ll be back to try the sold-out Zinfandel and Sangiovese. Thank you Kelly for your hospitality, and we hope Fil has worked out the new mower! Kim and Marcus

Stopped in on the Easter weekend and had such a good visit! Kelly was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and we hand a great time chatting and trying the fantastic wine offerings. A couple of unique varieties on offer which were really good and we also love the olive oil. Well and truly worth the stop by and be ready to leave with a few bottles.
Benjamin M — Google review
Me and my boyfriend came across this beautiful winery 2 years ago and have been craving the wine since we finished our box. We added it as a must do to our plan this down south trip for his birthday and yet again we’re astonished by the wines, oil and absolutely warmth of Kelly. We came in for another tasting and although the wines were impeccable, Kelly’s hospitality and bubbly personality blew us away. We could’ve stayed and chatted until dark, unfortunately we had a booking to attend to. We stocked up with 3 boxes which is sure to not last us until our next trip down south. Wonderful scenery, beautifully cultivated wines and outstanding company. We will be back, 11/10.

Great park for the grandson who is 4 soon to be 5 to use. There's lots for kids to play on, plenty of space, seating, tables and BBQ's.

Apr 2025 Came here for the apple fun park and the Donnybrook Apple Festival. Really tons to do and see and buy. Will mark this to revisit again! Also will want to come back to the playground again just for half a day or more without the crowd just for it.

First park I can think of that properly caters for kids of all ages and a lot to do and explore in a fenced in park. Kids loved it!
James G — Google review
There is so much for all ages to enjoy here - plenty of smaller slides and swings for the little ones, but also some more challenging towers and climbing challenges for the older kids. Beautiful design as well. Picnic tables, BBQ, clean white sand in the play area, clean public toilets. Probably my favourite playground to take the family to in WA.

Such an awesome playground... not as 'all ages' friendly as Katanning's playground but would love to take children to this one. Beach sand everywhere, green grass and awesome equipment. Toilets well presented and cared for.

Wow absolutely one of the best park for the kids of all ages. Limited cover and BBQ facility, plenty of parking however. Very well layout this playground. There are different size slides for the kids, mini trampoline. The equipment layout out over 100 metres of the playground. Great way to stop over before heading to and from one destination, best part the little ones really enjoyed it.

The Margaret River Chocolate Company is a popular tourist destination in Western Australia, offering an amazing range of chocolate products and tasty treats. In addition to chocolates and cakes, the factory also serves hot meals, making it a delightful stop for both food and chocolate lovers. Visitors can enjoy free samples of various chocolate varieties and even witness the production process through viewing windows. The hot chocolate is highly recommended, with some claiming it surpasses that of popular coffee chains.
They offer free tastings of their delicious milk and white chocolates—which is always a nice touch. We came here mainly to grab their Salted Caramel Spread and some dark chocolate—both were absolutely worth it! The location is right next to Providore, so it’s easy to visit both places in one stop. You can also enjoy ice cream, coffee, and light snacks at their café. The large backyard area is perfect for kids to run around and explore. A fun and family-friendly destination we’d definitely recommend!
Rocky S — Google review
I am usually generous in my ratings but this will be the 1st non 5 star rating. We bought more than $300+ of chocolate n the senior lady cashier who attended to us was pretty rude! Is it because I m an Asian Chinese? Mind you, I m not from mainland China if you are thinking that I am. My passport holds the most wanted in the world. Stop looking at people with racism and like as if I cannot afford the item I was enquiring. My jacket worn alone is already worth more than that amount. Nevertheless, I still paid with a happy smile in front of this senior lady despite her lousy attitude. The younger guy serving us at the cafe was worth mentioning. He was helpful and polite. I m giving you extra stars because of him otherwise is a one star rating. So it’s a 3 star rating this time round. Be courteous in future.

Samples are great! Pretty long standing fixture when you drive by Margaret River. There will be lots to choose from, and it does get busy as it is on a pretty touristy stretch of road. Get what you need and enjoy the free samples of chocs. Get some ice cream for your ride and enjoy your stash on your trip! Staff aren’t as friendly but they are professional.

The Margaret River Chocolate Factory is a spacious and beautiful place to visit, surrounded by lots of trees and open areas. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing — perfect for a break during a trip through the Margaret River region. Inside, there are free chocolate tastings (which our child absolutely loved!), and there’s also a viewing area where you can watch part of the chocolate-making process. Outside, there’s plenty of space for kids to run around and explore. The café offers a wide range of menu options, making it a great spot for both a treat and a light meal. Highly recommended as a family-friendly stop when visiting Margaret River!

If you are travelling through the area then well worth stopping if not only for just a few freebie samples of their delicious chocolate. Within the shop there is every flavour and type of chocolate you could possibly dream of. There is also a viewing area to see how the chocolate is made. Margaret River is all about chocolate and wine, a perfect pairing.

This is our must go place for Chocolates.. Almost all of our chocolates that we give our friends and relatives at home after Perth visits over the past 20 years come from this place The generous samples of white and dark chocolate chips at the entrance is simply a delight for all kids and people of all ages.. The window that allows visitors to witness the making of the different kinds of gourmet produces is also an attraction in the store. Beautiful and sinful chocolates.. We love u

This café truly lives up to its name—the hot chocolate was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The distillery is within walking distance from the accommodations, where visitors can indulge in tastings of various liqueurs and whiskeys.
Always great, a must do when in Margs. I can never go past the Turkish delight liquor but also really liked the rum ball this time. Great views, excellent service (with a smile) so put it on your list and enjoy some cocktails! Watch out for the crocodiles....

We had a tasting experience and the Turkish Delight liqueur was amazing 🙌 however, I ordered an espresso martini that was served without the traditional coffee beans representing health, wealth and happiness!!! And when I asked about them I was told they don't do it... despite serving coffee in the next room. Very disappointing and I decided not to purchase Turkish Delight liqueur after the poor attitude at the bar.

The Grove Distillery, Margaret River I first discovered The Grove Distillery years ago during a winery tour, and it’s quickly become one of my favourite stops in Margaret River. Every time I visit the region, I make sure to swing by as it’s that kind of place you never forget. The setting is inviting and peaceful, surrounded by gum trees and native bush. The distillery building itself is charming and modern, with warm touches of wood and glass. Inside, the tasting room feels cozy but open, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. The spirits are top quality, beautifully balanced, smooth, and full of character. I especially enjoy their gins and liqueurs, each with distinctly local botanical flavours. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share stories behind each expression and let you try a few samples. What stands out most is that sense of care and passion. They don’t rush you. Whether you drop in for a quick tasting or linger for a few sips, you feel welcomed. The Grove Distillery isn’t just a destination; it’s a touchpoint of the region’s creative spirit. If you’re in Margaret River and after something a little different from the usual wine trail, this is a must-visit. I always leave with a smile and a bottle or two to take home.

After a complete screw-up on my part (booking for 2026 without realising), Natasha went above and beyond to sort us out. No chalets available, but instead placed us in the brand new house that was not actually available officially yet. A significant upgrade. Therefore, instead of a disastrous weekend we had a wonderful one. I highly recommend this place - quiet, beautiful, comfortable and the best staff you could wish for (thanks as well to Karl). Great drinks as well, which we sampled daily and took some home.
Mark B — Google review
An excellent place to stay, quiet and restful. The Talk & Taste Tour was very informative and well presented and the tasting part was a great deal of fun. The location is perfect for visiting the northern half of the Capes, Dunsborough and Yalingup. We will definitely be back.
John R — Google review
The location of the property was perfect for us. The Chalet itself is old & wasn’t the cleanest. The lounge room had a rug in it that was dirty. The bedrooms are very cold in Winter as there was no heating in the bedrooms. The Lounge room window was open and locked so we couldn’t close it & it’s the middle of Winter. The ensuite shower had a lot of Mould. The doors to the property were also flip locks so if you have children old enough to unlock doors I would choose a different accommodation. The property also doesn’t offer WIFI but you do get reception. The outside spa was clean but the water had a bad smell. The views from every window are beautiful, over looking the vineyards & you occasionally see Kangaroos. It’s very peaceful & in a great location between Margaret River & Yallingup with endless things to do. Staff at The Grove are also very lovely.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Creekside walk lined by thousands of model gnomes donated by visitors & set out among gum trees.
First we were aware of it was as we drove past and said "What the". The kids would love it, particularly the youngens. We thought it was pretty good as well. A small parking area, but not a lot of room if you have a van. It does meander for a good 300+m, so take your time. Bring a gnome and find a home. There would be 10 000 + gnomes in various poses and groups. Plenty of space for wheelchairs, and there are toilets as well.

Such a unique little place hidden amongst the trees in the middle of Fergusson Valley. Wander the trails and spot the weird and wonderful gnomes in their natural habitat. Bring one along marked with name and anniversary or special date to leave behind. Its fun to re visit and find your gnome again!

Holy Gnomey, there are a LOT of gnomes here. There's so many more gnomes than you think. It just keeps going. We brought our gnomes to add to the collection, chose a cute lil spot for em. This is such a cute idea, Get your kids to do a little gnome painting day and make the trip here with them, its so worth it.

Great place to visit for all ages, its beautiful location is surrounded by farms and forests so a lovely drive to get there. When you see Gnomesville you will feel like you have been transported into a fairy tale. Busselton Jetty is an iconic 1.8-km wooden pier in Western Australia, featuring a train, underwater observatory, and interpretive center. It is a popular spot for swimming and beach activities along Geographe Bay. The Heritage Trail walk starts near the jetty at Railway House, offering cultural significance and connections to the region's timber industry.
Immaculately kept, run by the friendliest volunteers. 1.8km long so quite walkable, otherwise the little solar powered train can be taken. Buy tickets beforehand, if you have purchased online you still need to collect physical tickets. The train waits for 10 minutes before the return trip unless you have booked the underwater experience then it's 1 hour & 10 minutes. Other than that you walk back. On the day we went we were lucky to have a couple of dolphins
Rae R — Google review
It’s amazing how far the jetty goes when into Geographe bay. You can walk it all the way to the end or you can take the train by booking a ride. You can also add a ticket to the Underwater observatory where you descend down a set of stairs to go the under the sea to view the sea life that uses the underwater reef piles as their feeding ground. Quite therapeutic to stand there and watch the fish. Afterwards you can also visit the Marine discovery centre for some extra insight.
Shaun L — Google review
A unique ocean observatory experience! Though set in the middle of the ocean, the observatory sits at a modest depth of just 8m—yet it’s incredible how marine life has transformed the legs of the structure into their own thriving habitat. Getting there is part of the fun too: you can either enjoy a leisurely ride on the slow-moving train or take a scenic walk by foot. A fascinating and family-friendly way to connect with the underwater world!
Cheng C — Google review
Really lovely day out. If you’re into fishing, snorkelling or just a fun day out, busselton jetty is a must when you’re in the area. It’s a bit of a shame that the main area is so small and the second you get away from the shore, it seems like theres bot a whole lot to do… however the beaches are great, and you get a lot of souvenirs and info at the jetty info center as well as the main visitor center. Overall recommend going to see this place! We did the ultimate experience off-peak for 50$ each, includes ride on train both ways, the underwater observatory (breath taking experience!!) and the marine discovery center. Busso Jetty is one of many places I take people to in my tours through the region. It has great history, amazing community volunteers who are all fabulous & is a great local attraction rich in many stories. Definately worth a look whether its just for a few happy snaps or a train ride & underwater observatory visit. Highly recommended.
Peter C — Google review
Well worth a visit, don't hesitate. We enjoyed every aspect, from the informative history to the underwater view at the observatory. Many pics, take the train if 1.8km walk is too long for you.
Mark B — Google review
Worth doing this coastal road while leaving or going to margaret river and see this long jetty specially when the weather is sunny. Some nice resto/cafe/gelato depending of your feeling. Touristic mixed with local vibes. Very nice place to visit.
Olivier C — Google review
Today was our second time visiting Busselton jetty! And we loved it just as much as the first we visited! This time we went down to the underwater observatory, and it was so cool seeing the fish in the ocean and the coral on the jetty's posts! We had some fish and chips once we got back to the foreshore!

Parks
Tuart Forest National Park is a vast natural reserve that boasts of unique Tuart trees growing on coastal limestone. It features various hiking trails and stretches along the coastline, with Ludlow North Road to the west and Bussell Highway to the east. The area around this park is filled with beautiful scenery, and visitors can enjoy a tourist drive leading to the old mill town of Ludlow by following Ludlow Road. However, littering remains an issue in this natural haven despite its rich history.
Very short little walk but still great to learn. Good little pavilion to sit and listen but be protected from the rain.
Jesse W — Google review
1.4km Possum Spotlighting Trail was nice by day walking thru the rare Tuart trees, walk starts just where Layman Rd turns off west of Tuart Drive. 2 picnic tables, interpretive signs, and signs to loos, but couldn't see where the loos were! Short boardwalk also out to Malbup Bird Hide (but it was almost dry late March & only 1 heron in sight, lots of midges, and signs re mozzies - for tons of waterbirds instead we drove a short distance south to James Richardson Park on Estuary View Drive). We did see Fairywrens, a Ringneck Parrot, Gerygone and Bronze wings on the Possum Trail by day. Empty on a Monday. Signs recommend also coming at night to walk the trail and spot night animals and birds. Picnic Area also across the main road.
Lareen N — Google review
Beautiful scenery, lillys over the entire area floor. 4wd needed if venturing in with car. Kangaroos all over, serene and grass areas to sit and relax and take it all in
Daniella C — Google review
Tuart trail is a little ways away, has nice flowers and shrubs but the trail is only 600m long. Cannot recommended to anyone wanting a proper trail walk. Bring mozi spray if your going.

A very special forest . Lots of animals and birds and trees and at this time of year fungi as well.

Beautiful National Park. Huge Tuart Trees. One of a kind in the world. A number of Tuart forests stretch along this part.of the coast line. To the West is Ludlow North Road, to the East is the Bussell Highway. Follow Ludlow Road to the old mill toen of Ludlow and the Tourist drive. T w rrific drive and scenery. Just watch our for Kangaroos.

Geologic Formations
Canal Rocks is a remarkable natural wonder formed by the relentless erosion of the Indian Ocean against granite rocks over thousands of years. The result is a breathtaking network of lined, rocky islands and canals that create a stunning spectacle. Visitors can stroll along the manmade boardwalk to admire the crystal-clear waters and possibly spot marine life. The footbridge offers panoramic views of the ocean and provides an ideal vantage point for witnessing spectacular sunsets as the last rays of sunlight touch the ancient granite formations.
We visited at the end of September which is Spring, windy but sunny so we still enjoyed sightseeing. We went on the way to Yallingup - Busselton. Unique rock formations. A short walk on a narrow bridge with waves breaking, so we took turns with other people when walking towards the end of the bridge. Plenty of parking bays.
E T — Google review
Majestic view! Absolutely epic! Canal Rocks in Yallingup is a place that feels alive — where the ocean roars through ancient granite channels and the wind carries the scent of salt and freedom. The view at sunset is nothing short of breathtaking — waves crashing, light glowing, and nature showing off its purest power. A must-visit spot for anyone exploring the southwest coast. 🌅🌊
Adam A — Google review
Pleasant drive from Busselton. Beautiful on the way, and stunning views once there. Great car park, amenities, and walk down to the bridge across the channel. Raw power, even on a calm day. Loved it
Faye A — Google review
Well worth the 3-hr drive from Perth. The rock formations are impressive and the view - simple awesome. It's a must to take a walk on the boardwalk where one can see the Indian Ocean crashing against the rocks. So pretty
Cindy C — Google review
The name canal rocks suits it. The bridge connecting the two rock islands is the best place to watch sunset. Only one way though! We visited around the first week of October, it was a comfortable weather to roam around but still chilly because of the wind. Note: There are toilets in the area but of-course extremely dirty like most other public toilet. So enter with caution.
Nafisa T — Google review
Well worth a visit to see the majesty of the sea slamming into the rocks. There is a short wooden walkway that takes you closer to the ocean and a great photo opportunity on a choppy day. Plenty of parking too. Another little WA gem if exploring the Margaret River region.
Shaun L — Google review
Accessible, suddenly change to amazing scenery of beautiful rocks surrounding waves. Ample parking and pathway to scenic area. Required to be cautious ⚠️ slippery rocks and strong waves.
Rabnawaz N — Google review
Amazing natural beauty spot, that you need to see! The power of the waves pounding against the rocks and the natural formation of the rocks is nature at it's finest. Do yourself a favour make time to check out the area. There is a bridge over the gap. Very narrow. But there are paths around various points. Wear sturdy footwear for climbing over the rocks safely.

Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands Experience

Caverns & Caves
The Ngilgi Cave Ancient Lands Experience is a must-visit attraction in the South West region of Western Australia. This ancient cave, over 500,000 years old, features stunning rock formations such as stalactites, stalagmites, and helictites. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour or opt for a self-guided exploration to admire the natural beauty of the cave.
Lovely day exploring Ngilgi Cave. It was like being in another world. Beautiful around every corner. As you are able to self explore it was easy to navigate. With a lot of stairs, you could take your time and there are seats along the way to rest. I easily spent a few hours down there, but would book in advance so you aren't turned away.
J G — Google review
I found this cave a little claustrophobic with some tight sections. Lots of steps but very interesting. 30 metres down & 90% humidity so quite warm. Lovely bush walk to get to the entrance with interactive displays. Really enjoyed it.
Margaret B — Google review
The cave is absolutely stunning and so beautiful inside. The limestone crystal formations are incredible, and walking through feels magical. There are a few steps and narrow paths, but it’s easy to manage. It does get a bit warm inside because of the humidity, so wearing light, breathable clothes really helps. Such an amazing experience
P R — Google review
As a tour guide I take people to many wonderful places. One of my favourites is Ngilgi Cave in the Margaret River region. Its north of Margs so is an easy inclusion between Busselton & MR if you cant travel further south in a day trip from Perth. It is Western Australias 1st tourist attraction so it has History. If youre lucky enough to meet “Cave Dave”you will be in for a real treat although all the guides at Ngilgi are totally awesome. Highly recommend this cave. Enjoy.
Peter C — Google review
The Cave itself is excellent and the ability to freely walk around is great, much prefer that than having to go with a guide the whole time. Staff were excellent and the forest around is lovely. Definitely worth checking out.
Zach L — Google review
The cave is absolutely amazing with such beautiful limestone formations. I have forgotten how mesmerized I was when I last visited this cave nearly 20years ago. Fast forward to 2025, the cave has had some changes. There are definitely more safety features and the place is much more well lit. You do need to go in with a good pair of walking shoes, and make use of the bar handles when possible. A moderate stamina is required as it does get rather tiring the deeper you go in as some steps do get rather high and steep. It’s a shame that some spaces (for crawling) have been closed off but I understand from one of the staff members that it’s to preserve the sanctuary of the cave life discovered inside, as insect life had bloomed during the Covid period where there were no visitors to the caves during the lockdown period. I do hope to visit the caves again some day in the future to see how it has changed!
Fun K — Google review
Great place to visit if your in the region friendly staff, younger children may struggle to walk back up from the cave easy access with steps but its a fair way down. Some spots throughout the cave are tight my husbands shoulders were a bit wide so he has to squeeze through although I did not have an issue.
Jade W — Google review
Interesting caves with a long history. The stalactites and stalamites are amazing and it is obvious it has taken ages to form them. The surrounding park is very informative too.

Meelup Beach, located in a National Park, offers a variety of water activities such as swimming, paddle boarding and kayak rentals. Additionally, the beach provides BBQ facilities and clear waters ideal for snorkeling along the rocks on the left side. Life savers patrol during summer season making it safe for visitors. The beach is surrounded by trees and lawns with walking trails but does not allow dogs. Meelup Beach is bustling with activity and worth visiting due to its natural beauty and available amenities.
Meelup Beach is an absolute paradise! With its crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and stunning coastal views, it's the perfect spot for relaxation or adventure. Whether you're swimming, kayaking, or just soaking up the sun, the serene beauty of this beach makes every visit unforgettable. A must-see in WA!

Beautiful white sand beach. Clear turquoise water. A waterfall/river to explore & lots of rocks to climb on. Spot migrating whales from the shore with the naked eye! This spot does not disappoint 🐋 ✨ 🌊
Ashleigh T — Google review
This beach is stunning with blue clear water. The water is calm so it is perfect for kids to enjoy. If it gets too hot in the sun, there is shade from the trees at the lovely grassed area behind the beach. There is wheelchair access right on the beach.
Ni — Google review
Beautiful beach to stop in and visit. Hard to take a bad photo. Make sure you check out the view from the lookout too.
Heidi E — Google review
This is one of several quality beaches that dot the eastern shores of Cape Naturaliste north of Dunsborough in WA. The beach is accessible along Meelup carpark turnoff road and the carpark here allows for plenty of day visitors. There are public toilet and water showers to clean off sand and salt water, picnic area with grass and in the shade of mature trees near the carpark as well. Importantly, the beach has very nice sand, turquoise water and beautiful views. While other beaches we walking past on the Meelup Trail seemed quiet and at times near deserted, Meelup Beach had a fair number of visitors including families with little ones taking advantage of the more comprehensive facilities here.
Brad — Google review
A pleasant and clean beach, and very quiet during our time of visiting. The car park is reasonably small, and it's a nice place for a picnic of SUP.
Kerbray — Google review
One of my favourite beaches around Dunsbrough, and probably the most popular beach for families. We come in January most years and it’s always packed with little nippers on bodyboards or smiling toddlers building sandcastles in the soft sand. It’s popular with overseas tourists, and safer than most other beaches on this part of the coast. It’s well protected and calm, so safe for inexperienced swimmers and overseas visitors who sometimes lack the ability to read the current. Lifesavers are often on duty, and there’s a well shaded picnic area. There’s also an ice cream and flavoured ice van (selling Simmo’s ice cream), and plenty of parking. A great spot to spend a few hours.

The menu features delicious wood-fired pizzas made from locally sourced ingredients, ensuring every bite is fresh and flavorful. For those looking to start their day right, nearby Dunsborough Bakery serves up an array of pastries and sandwiches that make for the ideal breakfast or lunch option.

Great place for brunch / lunch. It has a beautiful lawn with an amazing view. Great to have beer to relax while waiting for your table. Service staff were very friendly and professional. Food was nice but really special or distinctive. The wait for the food is easily 30 mins on a weekend. A beautiful amazing place, recommend visiting f

Had a great lunch for two here. Ambience was. I’ve the service was great too. When I came the QR code ordering system was down. But that didn’t stop the service from being great. Loved the view of nature from the restaurant.

We ordered the fish & chips and soba noodles dish. The fish and chips were so good (one of the best i’ve ever had). The fish was soft and tender and the chips were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The soba noodle dish was unique and very refreshing on a summer’s day. The portions were generous too. 10/10 would recommend!

Great range of beers on tap and to take away, popped in to enjoy a taste of the beers, grabbed a paddle after solid recommendations from Noah behind the bar. Noah knew his beers and was more than helpful in choosing beers that I liked and was happy for a chat all things beer. Great view, great playspace for kids, food looked good although we didn’t eat, great range of other drinks, wine cocktails etc. great Yeti range too if you need to add to your collection. We’ll definitely be back when over in the west for a longer afternoon here! Great staff make a great visit. (No food rating as we didn't order any).

Been here a second time and it still doesn’t disappoint. One of my favourite breweries to visit when I come to the Margaret River region. Food was great, especially the various pizzas. The drinks were amazing. Personally loved the cacao stout but the other beers were also highly recommended. Atmosphere was lovely and the scenery was beautiful.
Jonathan T — Google review
This is probably the best brewery I’ve been to down south. The location is stuff, it looks over some rolling green fields/farm with animals. The staff were knowledgeable and patient as I asked too many questions and made jokes that didn’t land. The different types of beer were fantastic. We got the seasonal paddle which was 18$ and a bargain considering how you get to try six different beers. The wood fire pizza was incredible, 100% recommend that. The merch was also very well priced. It was a great experience and I’ll happily drag some friends there in the future

It's the perfect pit stop before heading to Margaret River; why pack food when everything you need is right here?
A fantastic market with fresh, local produce! Bunbury Farmers Market is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality food. The variety of local produce is incredible — from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats, cheeses, and baked goods, there’s something for everyone. The market is well-organized, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I love that you can support local farmers and producers while shopping for great ingredients. It’s the perfect place to pick up fresh produce for the week or grab a delicious ready-made meal. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

Freshest and widest selection under one roof and they have sampling of fish to give you a suggestion of type of fish to buy. The beef cuts are amazing and I have not seen such huge mushrooms before. Sets the adrenaline pumping for those who loves to cook. The nuts and cheese selection is worth trying, esp the local ones. Pies are good esp those reduced to clear. Still yummy and filling. There’s a take out counter by the side of the supermarket and their mushroom pies, beef and cheese pies are soooo good. Wish I can carry everything back to my country!

A good coffee break driving down from Perth. The fruit and veg are very fresh and nicely arranged. If you are cooking dinner, this is a good choice rather than going restaurants. Enjoy.

Always a great place to pick up food on your road trip to SW WA (or back to Perth). Super clean and OCD-level stock management! Fruits and veggies are always fresh. Their gravy and granola are our favourites
William R — Google review
There’s really a lot of choices—from fresh vegetables, fruits, cheese, bread, and everything else. Everything looks so fresh and tempting that if I weren’t already full, I’d probably buy everything. Luckily, I was full, and if you convert the prices from AUD to MYR, it’s definitely not cheap. If you’re checking in with a group and have a kitchen to cook, it’s worth buying here to cook together. But for me, it’s not really worth it—I’d rather buy ready-made from a store. Overall, vegetables and fruits start from around AUD 3 (RM 9) per pack.
O O — Google review
An excellent produce market with the freshest local produce direct from local farmers, eals ready to cook, angry items and baked goods all made in house. One of the best supermarkets we have seen.

Can't believe it took as over a year of living in Bunbury to try this place. It is INCREDIBLE! SO many options. Everything is super fresh! Love the design of walking through on pathway with each section rather than the typical grocery store experience of multiple aisles. Oh, and their Steak, Jalapeno and Cheese pies are literally the best pie I have ever had in my entire life!!! Their stuffed mushrooms are incredible too! My new favourite place to shop!
Sasha C — Google review
An awesome stop point on my way to Busselton from Perth. This is a huge place with many different fresh produce from the area. Bunbury Wildlife Park is a delightful destination that beautifully blends education and conservation in the heart of Bunbury. Recently, they hosted an exciting inaugural Night Nocturnal tour, which thrilled families as they observed the lively Western Brushtail Possums under the stars. The perfect weather added to the experience, making it a memorable evening for all attendees. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through this charming park while interacting with various native species.
Bunbury Wildlife Park is a beautiful zoological park that offers a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was friendly and knowledgeable. At the entrance, we had the opportunity to meet Maui, a young Macaw. The keepers provided insightful information during the kangaroo talk, showcasing their expertise. The park features a wide variety of Australian wildlife, including several stunning walk-through aviaries filled with birds. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed, providing plenty of enrichment, and are extremely well maintained. All the animals were healthy and are living their best lives at Bunbury Wildlife Park. The entry fee was very reasonable, and there are many shaded areas for both visitors and animals to relax. Bunbury Wildlife Park is a must-see when visiting the city of Bunbury!
Cameron S — Google review
Very friendly simple animal park very much enjoyed! At first I thought oh no this looks so small… but it was so well laid out and the shady cart for my two and a half year old made it superb. Three adults, two visiting from overseas especially, we are all very happy with the friendly animals in clean spacious enclosures. My daughter was safe to run around the grassy grounds happily feeding ducks. I loved the goats. We also love that you can see into the wombats cave because as we all know wombats are nocturnal and prone to be fast asleep when we want to ogle them. 😊
Tara L — Google review
I loved this place. Friendly staff that do talks if they're in the enclosures. We saw birds getting fed and a very nice staff member let us watch as she fed the monitor. The Walk through aviary was fun. The Alexandrine parrots flew over and sat on our shoulders and were very sociable. Nice neat park. Can get up close to a lot of the animals and can see reptiles up close near the exit.

Playground just outside has a large area with a variety of slides and swings and picnic area. Ideal spot for kids and picnic lunch regardless of weather you visit the wildlife park or not. Over the road is a swamp area with walkways and bird hides. Great opportunity to watch birds do thier thing. Free activity.

What an amazing wildlife park! You get to feed SOOOOO MANY animals and they're all so friendly and cute. The best part was the talking cockatoos. They literally say Hello when you pass by and the other one says "Hello, How're you doin" 😂😂😂😂 It was the most fun wildlife park/zoo/sanctuary we've been to! A MUST VISIT FOR SURE
Diksha K — Google review
Staff at the reception was super nice. It’s a small park, nice area for the birds. Was quite disappointed that not able to have much interaction with the animal, especially the kangaroos.
Stephanie C — Google review
I have visited several wildlife parks and sanctuaries in Australia and have always enjoyed them. However, this one is simply depressing. The animals are clearly not well; almost all of them are either apathetic or show clear signs of hospitalism. We did not see any staff members during our entire visit, except for the lady at the entrance. For the welfare of the animals, action should be taken and the park should be closed.
Ulrike — Google review
I like it. It's not too big in size but has a decent number of native animals. A couple of hours should do it. Also, shoutout to the volunteers; nice, knowledgeable, and professional. All in all, I think it is one of the best attractions in Bunbury.

Marlston Hill Lookout, built to commemorate Australia's bicentennial, provides a stunning panoramic view of Koombana Bay, the Indian Ocean waters, and the vibrant cityscape. It is situated atop Bunbury's CBD and offers a vantage point to admire the City of Three Waters. The lookout tower stands on the site of Bunbury's original lighthouse and allows visitors to observe Geographe Bay, Bunbury Harbour, and Koombana Bay.
Great spot with a panorama view. Stairs to climb to the top. There are few parking spots here. Also, get to see the lighthouse from a distance.

I walked along the beach, past the lighthouse, to this tower and climbed to the top. I actually felt the climb in my calf’s! 😂. Must mean that I need to do more exercise The view from the top is worth the climb but the safety net is annoying but probably needed. Halfway up is a platform for uninterrupted views. To finish off I walked down the wooded stairs through the gardens. A very pleasant way to finish and then find a coffee shop

The prime spot offers breathtaking views of the entire city, from Koombana Beach and Bay to Jetty Road, the Lighthouse, and the CBD. It goes without saying that sunrise and sunset are ideal times to visit. With the exception of the graffiti, it was a solid four stars. In any case, I'm crossing my fingers that the city will get to it soon and clean it up.
