Up there with the best Tourist Information centres in Australia. Great, prompt and valuable customer service and knowledge. The historical displays were well labelled and told the story of the "Cooee March", an important part of this locale's contribution to World War 1. The indigenous and town stories were also displayed in easy format. Gift shop on site. Amenities are clean and well maintained. Off road parking is plentiful for vehicles and caravans. Mobility parking available.

Took advantage of the free overnight stay. 10 spots available, register online. A good spot, lots of 4g. Not busy. Convenient location on main street.

Stopped here for a quick break on the long drive north and were glad we did. Such a great information centre with an Indigenous history exhibit and installation on the Cooee March from Gilgandra, which we weren't aware of. Clean amenities and a lovely deck with cafe make this a perfect rest stop or spend a bit longer to take in all the information about this historical town.

Have not called in for a while. Amazing fixed displays especially the co..eee March. Also I loved the fossil exhibit. Went out back to the little coffee shop. The young lady was delightful Also the front desk inquiry officer was busy answering questions. Beautiful clean toilets. The ladies loo had a stunning photograph on the wall. Breathtaking

Gilgandra information centre is the most helpful centre I have used in travelling full-time over 18 months the lovely lady was so informative and provided incredible service Nicky couldn't of been more helpful in giving advice on places of interest to me spent her valuable time going through maps just a delightful experience which is appreciated and the town is such a nice place it's a credit to this shire and great they allow rv parking here on a nice flat surface

Great place to stop by on your way to Warrumbungles. Before you go up the observatory, visit the museum in the visitor centre to experience some interesting interactive exhibitions. Lots of telescopes and equipments in the observatory, would be good for someone interested in astronomy. There is also a viewing deck that provides a glimpse of the landscapes ahead.

What a great tour we were lucky enough to be there when they were doing tests and could see the telescope being orientated. You can’t appreciate how big it is and the view from outside at the top is just breathtaking. The tour guide did a brilliant job of explaining the importance of the telescope, how it works and all the fun facts on the universe was so fun and informative. The passion he brings to the tour makes it that much more enjoyable.

Feel like I've had a once in a lifetime experience at the stargazing capitol of Australia. These amazing telescopes set amongst the warrumbungles is surreal and quite magical. Siding springs has an open day once a year where you can get a sausage sizzle, view a few of the amazing telescopes, go inside the planetarium, listen to talks, have ice cream and visit the museum. So interactive, great for kids and fascinating details about planets, our solar system, galaxies, the sun...it's great. You can see how much you'd weigh on mars, and see how heavy a litre of milk is on Saturn. Loved the whole day.

Went here on a road trip. A little out of the way but definitely worth visiting. There's an interpretive centre, lots of telescope including the big one. You can go inside and up to the fourth floor and observe the telescope. Excellent views of the surrounding landscape - particularly the Warrumbungle Ranges.

We recently did the all day tour at Siding Spring Observatory with our two little boys, and it was one of the best tours we’ve ever done. Our guide Branioc was excellent. He was very entertaining, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about the observatory and its workings, as well as the wildlife and history of the area, and even made our coffee and lunch back at the cafe! The views of the Warrumbungles from the exterior catwalk are spectacular, and it was fantastic getting to see the telescopes, and learning more about the field of astronomy. The exploratory was also informative and very well presented. We highly recommend doing a tour - it was a highlight of our holidays. Thank you again to Branioc for making the tour such a wonderful thought-provoking experience!

Such an astonishing attraction for both amateur and professionals. It also provided night stargaze for Milky Way enjoyment. Highly expect for my next visit.

Love dropping into visitors info centres on arrival in a new town. This one has the bonus of a great small museum showcasing mega fauna fossil (well worth seeing) and some great astro photography. It also has a small cabinet of local Aboriginal artefacts. As usual, very helpful and knowledgeable staff and a great collection of info brochures

Excellent stop for travellers and nature lovers! The Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre is a wonderful place to stop — full of great information about local attractions, walks, and the nearby Warrumbungle National Park. The displays are amazing, especially the dinosaur exhibit, which both kids and adults will love! There’s also a lovely section featuring local produce and crafts, perfect for gifts or treats from the region. And don’t miss picking up the free booklet “Bird Routes of Baradine and Pilliga” — a real treasure for birdwatchers and anyone who enjoys exploring nature. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable — a genuine credit to this beautiful area. Highly recommended! 🌻

Another thing on the bucket list ticked off to stay in the Shamrock. It was affordable in the heart of historic Bendigo. Room very Comfy with an annex two lounge chairs, large TV good ensuite. Dinner in the down stairs bar excellent, (even pensioner neals) if you love old this is the place and there's a lift.

My husband and I have just discovered that information centres are excellent for stopping at charge EV. Recently we road tripped from a orange to nightcap ridge to get married and we stopped at quite a few Info centres. Coonabarabran was our favourite as the lady on that day was fascinating to talk to. They have an amazing museum of mega fauna fossils that were discovered in the early 1980’s and they had excellent photography exhibits from kids taking photos of space. Our only disappointment was we couldn’t buy any of the photos. Truly a wonderful pit stop filled with great service, information and interesting facts. We’ve enjoyed sending pics of the fossils to our nephews and talking to friends about our new Knowledge.

Beautiful pottery, didn’t have time to stay for a free session on the pottery wheel. Cafe offers breakfast, lunch and pizzas in the afternoon. Can say the coffee and breakfast was delicious. We arrived just as cafe was closing, but happy to serve us coffee regardless. Cafe h had a great feel, indoors and outdoor rustic handmade timber table and seating. We were on the caravan, was a bit quiet, very neat campground, well maintained. Bathroom facilities excellent. Disappointed we were told we can go and look for firewood for an open fire, when in fact it had all been well and truly collected and burnt . Would rather be told, best to buy wood. The road in and out very corrugated, which was out of the farms control. Taking it slow was the only solution. It was described as a Farmstay, but didn’t really have that feel. Don’t expect to see any stock or produce. So pleased we visited and supported this eclectic venture.

This was my second visit to Pilliga Pottery, and this time I stayed in the charming Poet’s Cottage. It was the perfect peaceful escape, giving me a chance to centre some clay and centre myself. I had a couple of wheel lessons with Joel, whose calm guidance and invaluable tips have given me plenty to work on before my next (imminent!) visit. A truly special place that keeps calling me back.

Beautiful location and a place to stay with a difference. In the middle of the pilliga forest, this little farm is a lovely retreat. The surrounds of the buildings are beautifully decorated with artistic pieces amongst the gardens and the accommodation, while not luxurious was super comfortable with good heating. They strive for ecological sustainability, so the chickens eat your food scarps, the air conditioner is run from solar and they try to reduce their use of plastics. Lovely walks and the pottery shop looked like a great place to learn the art. Served by a nice little cafe.

Camped for 2 nights (Kelly campground) - beautiful space, so many incredible walks you could do (and please do! It’s a beautiful part of the world). Beautiful ceramic pieces available to purchase, or you can do a pottery class - I didn’t do a class but a few people in my group did and they loved it. Just a really lovely place to spend time in, enjoy nature, and just unwind.

Pilliga Pottery is such a unique and delightful find! Nestled in the beautiful Australian bush, the café is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The food was surprisingly great – fresh, tasty, and with a lovely variety of options (plus great coffee!). The highlight was definitely the class. It was such a fun, hands-on experience. Whether you're a total beginner or have some experience, the staff make it easy and enjoyable to create something of your own. The instructors are friendly, patient, and passionate about what they do. There’s something really special about the relaxed vibe, the creative energy, and the stunning natural setting. Great for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for something a little different. Highly recommend stopping in – even if it's just for a coffee and a look around the gallery!

Pilliga pottery is a quite hidden little village landscape that feels 1,000,000 miles from everywhere. With its quaint old world cafe shops and housing it’s something worth checking out… it almost has an Amish old world quality to it I highly recommend this place to visit.

Second visit to Pilliga Pottery. A perfect place to visit. From great meals under the stars, beautiful walks, native flora and fauna, and of course getting creative doing some pottery. The rooms are comfortable too.

A fantastic spot if you’re interested in radio signal research of our solar system. No movie, no personal contact just great looking dishes on rails. Plaques with info and a few pictures with descriptions of construction.

Entrance to the right if you were coming from Narrabri city centre. Gates close at exact 5pm every day. Strictly no wireless connection allowed. Wifi and bluetooth should be turned off.

Great site to visit. The dishes are amazing to see. The visitors centre was unmanned so no opportunity to ask questions etc, but it is advertised as a self guided tour. A working satellite dish out the front that visitors can move and direct. Toilets available too.?

A free educational experience when visiting Narrabri. 15 minutes away from A39 Newell Highway when entering Narrabri. It's an astronomy observatory so phones must be on airplane mode with wifi and bluetooth turned off. Great for adults and teens who are keen of radio astronomy. It has an interactive display outside, a whispering dish which was really cool, a number of displays, an up close view of the compact array, and a visitor centre that has great information and audiovisual room. They also sell $1 postcards. Has clean toilets and a well kept surrounding. There are Wallabies near the entrance when we visited, they must be everywhere as the land was vast.

Absolutely love it well worth the drive, free entry and so much to do, great for kids of all ages.

Green valley farm is such a special place - you’ll only really understand the magic once you’ve gone! Family owned and run, this place is a hidden little gem in such a beautiful location! There is the option to either camp or stay in a cabin (air conditioned/heated), the scenery is pure Australian bush, the park has its own little cafe that makes the best thick shakes!, a cute little farm experience with animals, and lots of little rides around the park. The entire vibe of the place really emphasises good old fashion innocent family fun. My family have been going for 20 years and will continue to go for another 20

Loved the museum so much diversity and a cool layout, somthing for everyones interests also free access before park at a friendly $15. The park has a great assortment of quality old style ride equipment, that even teenagers can enjoy. And variety of animals to see and feed.

We stayed at Green Valley Farm over the long weekend and had a fantastic time from start to finish. Right from our first communication, Kathy went out of her way to accommodate our large family and make sure everything was perfect for us. The farm itself is absolutely beautiful, and with five kids, we were never short of things to do. The holiday cabin was small but felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen that had just what we needed without feeling cluttered. All the staff were lovely and so friendly — it really made the stay extra special. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to provide a little map or guide around the property. On our first day, we weren’t quite sure where everything was, and we didn’t realise we could walk through the “private area” to see the animals until we saw others doing it. The prices throughout the farm were fantastic, too. Even the coffee was reasonably priced — standard prices, not inflated like you sometimes find at holiday spots. We would absolutely love to return one day and do it all over again!

It was cool, it was quirky and I love the history and story of GVF & how it's all family ran. We camped for 3 nights but I feel as though there just weren't enough amenities for all the campers & powered sites were a bit on top of each other. My 17 & 15yos weren't allowed to supervise my 10yo while I prepped lunch and dinner & nursed an injured foot but the teens were allowed at enter on their own. The kiosk food was the BEST takeaway we've eaten in a long time. As a family we rate GVF 3 out of 5 stars.

2nd time here for a weekend ADV bike event, this place is a well oiled machine and it shows, everyone that runs the place put in a pretty good effort from Fri night to sun morning everything is taken care of and all facilities are tip top absolutely nothing to complain about at all .. Awesome location awesome staff and the food (i was never hungry) keep up the good work see you next year 🙏

WOW! What an Amazing place! Our first time to Green Valley Farm was for the Adventure Moto Dirty Weekend Event 2025 and we had a Cracker of a time. The camping grounds and facilities were 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this place for families and events. Well done to everyone involved in running this farm 👏

I've been coming here for over 10 years,I always stay on the property and have never had a bad experience. The camp kitchen, toilets and shop has seen this properties attraction double. Bill is a local legend, full of stories and a lovely man aswell.

Went to the river on the property to fossick $10, plus an indemnity form to sign. Which is fair. $25 for the prepared area which guarantees some sapphires at the park to fossick, camping available which we didn’t do. Found a little colour nothing flash. Phone them as they are not always there. But they are open seven days seek to fossick in the river. As stated above

We decided to fossick and camp at billabong blue and ended up staying a week. We tried out the fossicking park for $20 and found loads of sapphires in a whole day of digging (opens 9am, closes 4pm). Not really any good quality ones though. We brought our own sieves etc so we did two days of our own digging and fossicking in Frazer's creek near the campsite ($10pp). This was more successful with nicer stones. We ended up getting a sapphire and zircon cut. And found one more on the last day that was 3.6 carats that we will get cut. We also camped at their site. They had flushing toilets and a hose with creek water (it was clean but not drinkable) you could use as a shower. They also had a shared space with a kitchen sink that was connected to a rain water tank. There were a few shacks around that you could use. And the bathroom and main communal area had lighting. The bins get emptied every day and the toilet paper gets restocked but I would bring a roll just in case. We accessed Billabong Blue via a sealed road, but the campsite location is through dirt roads around the back. Our mini SUV was fine and most cars in dry weather would be fine also. If you are camping get there before 2pm, if fossicking get there as early as possible. It was very quiet all week but got busier over the weekend. Would highly recommend this, even with families, singles or couples. It was a great experience overall. Loved waking up to the sounds of birds and cows in the morning. And seeing the starry night sky.

Great family activity, good set up and so much fun. Our family arrived at 9am along with three other families we were fossicking with. Some were experienced fossickers but it was all new to me. Bill, the owner, gave us very clear explanations on how to find gems in the pile he had prepared for the day. We found heaps! Bill supplies all the fossicking material you need and at $50/family, it is good value. The place has two flushing toilets and a tap to wash hands (a bar of soap would be a welcome addition). There are chairs and a picnic table for having a break. We stayed until about 1pm and had lots of fun.

Great place to stay for a few days. Excellent camp kitchen with big open fireplace, huge polished table, double sink with tank water. Heaps of firewood available. Septic toilets, very clean. No showers but we used a big pot in the camp kitchen to boil water for bucket showers. Really enjoyed our time. We found lots of little gems just specking around the camp. Also we did some fossicking for gems at the Billabong Blue Fossicking Area and found loads of nice gems. The owner Bill was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend spending the day fossicking, or longer camping out there.

You will find gems here. Good fun going through the fossiking process. Gary on site was very helpful. $20 per person. Bring water and food if staying for a while. We were there for 3 hrs. Store affiliated with this place is in town at the Tourist Info Centre. Plenty of nice gems and jewellery to purchase. Only open Sunday and any rain through the week and it won't open on the weekend. Make sure to always call first as it's 30 min drive from Inverell.

I'm only giving this 3 stars, as I rang to stay, on a weekend. I got there and it was closed on the day I told the lady I was coming. They may have had an issue. Perhaps I needed to yell out, but it looked quiet. I ended up going into Inverell. But I've heard it's a great place to camp and fossick. And I'm hoping on my next trip up nth, in a week's time, I get to stay.

Extremely delicious, very rich. We shared a large strawberry shake ( it was a generous large) and a strawberry and cream scone which was a very slightly stale but otherwise good. We couldn't finish the shake, it was super sweet and we were all sugared out - but it was great and would order it again for sure!

Delicious fresh strawberries! Great spot to have a break. Play area for children. Plenty of parking, nice food, great coffee. Inside and outside sitting areas. 🍓 yum!

Loved this little roadside store/cafe/gift shop. Had fresh strawberries in three size options plus strawberry pancakes, shakes etc. Had a fantastic variety of jams, vinegars, chutnies, sauces, soaps, gifts etc Also had a small amount of clothing outside. Outside toilet facilities simple but clean and presentable. Inside seating for eating. Parking was fine.

Always stop in here over the years for a freshly made strawberry milkshake, and this visit will keep us coming back. Very efficient service, lovely friendly new ? owners and still the most delicious real strawberry milkshake ever. The large size each filled us for lunch, but the food being delivered to other customers looked good.

Called in this morning to get some advice on things to do in Glen Innes during our stay. The man behind the counter did not look up from his computer, did not offer a greeting or acknowledge I'd come into the centre. I eventually said good morning so he definitely knew I was looking around. I gathered what info I could from the pamphlets and left. Still no offer of assistance from the man sitting behind the counter. Not a great introduction to this lovely town.

Extremely helpful staff, they have a beautiful range of Celtic jewellery, and gorgeous stuffed toys, aboriginal art pieces, such as jewellery and scarves and allots of tartan nik knacks. We were given so much information on what was to be seen and done in Glen Innes, most helpful and friendly information centre I have attended.

This is a fantastic place and worth a visit. There are lots of tables around for picnics and plenty of room for dogs and travellers with caravans etc There is a beautiful walkway just above to walk around and view the town and surrounds. However the best part is the Crafters Cottage onsite with the best coffee in the area. The barista there is Thai and a fantastic artist with her designs on the top of each coffee. There is a nice fireplace inside the cafe and lots of outdoor sitting areas if you have a dog with you. The new playground equipment for kids is excellent and there are plenty of new toilets The cafe is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Of course the Standing Stones are a huge highlight. Whilst in town, don’t forget Sweaties Pies, which are renowned to be the best anywhere. The coffee downtown is generally very ordinary.

Fab place to visit and I was really touched that the Celtic peoples who settled here bringing their knowledge and skills have been honoured and memorialised is such a manner. It’s definitely worth a visit. I was particular fascinated that the sun dial told the time perfectly 👌

Amazing monument to the early settlers of the area. Created in 1991/92, the Australian Standing Stones in Glen Innes Highlands is the national monument to Celtic people, past and present. The Stones acknowledge the contribution to Australian culture made by people from the Celtic nations of Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales, the Isle of Man and Brittany.

Has changed a bit since we where through 3yrs ago, new sword , kids play area and pretty sure loos are newish too. Either way good suss out and good pet friendly stop / area walk around

Worth a stop just to read the story of what they are and why they are there. Don't forget to go up the hill behind it for a scenic outlook.

Spent about 2.5hrs having a really good look around and reading about all of the history involved. Highly recommend seeing the great work that the volunteers do to restore and maintain the displays. Could easily spend more time there.

Fabulous and affordable little railway museum with some interesting displays and historical information regarding past railway activities in the region. Very interactive and engaging. Kindly run and cared for by a wonderful group of volunteers selflessly giving their time and skillset to this little museum.

Very helpful & informative staff who took the time to explain all that the Museum offered. Its a wonderful historical snapshot & all who have been involved should be proud of their work. The Dog Box restoration is a fantastic example of the challenges the volunteers have faced. A personal discovery was finding a manufacture plate from the Chullora Per Way Workshops - where my father worked for 44 years.

A wonderful way for spend an hour or 2. Such a great collection of historical artifacts and beautifully restored rail carriages. Staff were very friendly and informative. They are clearly passionate about rail history. The gardens on the platform were also incredible. Well worth a visit!

A great little gem for Tenterfield. Very pleasant and helpful staff, volunteers. Strange thing is they have to apply to two different Govt. departments if they need to move a carriage. The rails are heritage listed. ' ain't bureaucracy great."

Green little find of restored railway machinery. Great work by the volunteers who have a passion for their town. Staff super friendly and full of knowledge. A must to visit.

She pulled out a map..gave us a guide and off we went!! 1st stop museum..very informative. Coffee shop ..lovely little hub. Lots of people, friendly people. Recommended visit.

Am sure the people at the centre do a great job however our sole purpose for overnighting in Tenterfield was to visit the Saddlery. We arrived on advertised hours and unfortunately it was closed. Feel perhaps if this happens, maybe someone from the Centre could open. After all, majority of people visiting from afar, do so because of the Saddlery history, thanks to Peter Allen.

Visited this beautiful little town last week. The locals were so warm and welcoming. It was so nice to see the history that has been displayed at Tenterfield Saddler.

The song lured us there and the saddles and other history made it worth the stop.

Absolutely gorgeous spot! From the bridge to the bird life in the water, the fountain to the beautiful array of different colourful trees, this is such a beautiful place for a picnic or just to stretch your legs and let the kids run around on the playground!

Nice park, small pond with ducks. Children's playground and picnic area as well. Definitely worth a visit.

A very iconic place with purple tree throughout the road. Nice and calm. They have festival called jacaranda every year around the end of October to the beginning November.

Well maintained. Very pretty. Public toilets could be updated and kept cleaner.

Visited See Park end of October 2019 when jacaranda trees are blooming. A great family picnic location. Nice walk around the park. On a beautiful sunny day, you might even get to see 4 legged friends aka goanna lizards sunbaking. You can find some great photo spots within the park and nearby roads. I love visiting Grafton between mid October to early November as the town turns people with beautiful blossoming jacaranda everywhere.

We always visit Grafton especially see park every Jacaranda season and its worth it everytime.

You can see a lot of Jacaranda in this parks in spring. Very beautiful

Best spot for exploring the rock pools and it’s a great swimming beach as well on the camping side of the rocks. Often see surfers enjoying themselves with decent waves, people fishing, swimming, playing on the sand, great spot for dolphin spotting and whale watching when it’s in season.

These camping grounds are excellent. My 10 year old also prefers this, over a recent big 4 camp ground (even with all the rides and activities these big 4 parks have to offer). It's a relaxing break in nature with fires allowed and kangaroos for your camping buddies. You can surf, take your 4WD for a run on some good tracks (out better still your motor bike as in my case), or fish of that's your thing. Management is chilled, amenities are are well serviced. It's cheap too.

Beautiful place ,highly recommend it for camping or even for the day tripers.

If you intend to camp be sure to book ahead as Rangers are vigilant which is great for we who do follow the rules!

Fantastic beach views with relaxing camping for families or just a weekend away with/without the kids. Party groups and reunions. Great place. Always has been our favourite place since our children were small. Grandkids love it too.

A great breakfast or lunch place in Maclean. Great coffee and the breakups we had were great. Service was professional and polite. This place roasts their own coffee and also operates a brewery. It gets quite busy at times so bookings are recommended.

Really love what they are doing here. Great service that seeks to please. Have been back 3 times across the years and the coffee is still excellent. Pastries in the window are not too cliche and the breakky menu is lovely. Recommend the Rueben sandwich. Yum! Thank you also for taking bookings … super hard to walk in to other breakfast venues and this alone keeps us coming back knowing that we will have a seat ! Great service from the older lady (possibly Tina ?) she was awesome.

Perfect stop for lunch on a long drive. Not far off the M1, super quick service, looked like plenty of tables. The coffee was good (strong) and the food was yum. Friendly and attentive staff too :)

A lively cafe with lots of delicious food options. Toasties were not on the menu but they happily made one for me, coffee was very good too. The service was prompt and friendly. There are tables outside and plenty inside in the aircon.

Loved loved this cafe! So worth the stopover on my way up to Brisbane. This cafe was highly recommended by friends who advised anything on menu will be good and they were 100%. Got the salt and pepper squid on salad and iced coffee. Wished I got a bag of beans to takeaway! The staff were so friendly and the food came in a good time. I stayed here for an hour and was refreshed.

A good place to stop by if you’re in the area! I’m not a coffee drinker but everyone I went with loved the coffee! As for the chai latte, I ordered it extra hot- “piping burn your mouth hot” were my words- and it came out warm… the second time also was a miss. It was also verrrrry sweet- almost like ginger bread… so if you’re not into an uber sweet chai- maybe think about another drink! The salad of the day was good but a bit on the oily side. This is just a personal preference but when I’m going for a salad, I’m trying to make a healthy choice which means a little less on the oily side would’ve been my preference. Overall, lovely staff and good vibes! I’d recommend booking too!!

Bustling, bussin’, brilliant coffee roastery in riverside Maclean. Amazing coffee and fantastic cafe meals and snacks. Perfect stop on the road north/south or destination in its own right. We always call in here!

We had a great stay in one of the newer tipis. Mark was extremely friendly and we stayed in the reception building with him to wait for the storm to quiet down. He gave us a great tour of all the animals on the farm. Highly recommendable!

What you and your staff have achieved is an experience we highly recommend to everyone young and old. The children loved the Tepee and their own campfire. The peace and tranquillity was magical. We went to the park today only as day visitors. We were greeted and shown around the park by a very friendly and informative man, who went out of his way to keep the kids happy and was very patient. The bison, baby rabbits, donkey, cows, peacocks, dingoes, guinea pigs and a large variety of birds were all on display.. The pool, amenities block and bbq area are all clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend this place for day visitors or overnight campers. Thank you for the lovely day.

We are having an absolute blast up here. We travelled up from Sydney, it was very much worth the trip and staying a few days. A big thank you to Damo, his wife Sharon and staff for going out of there way to make us feel like home. There are activities here for all ages, fishing, 4WDing, bush walking, cooking, relaxing and of course the magnificent American Bison are a site to see. We stayed in our camper trailer, the camping grounds are level and heaps of space between camp sites. Suitable for tents, swags and largest of caravans. The amenity building is near new and very well keep. The showers are also very hot. We also purchased directly from the farm, a freezer full of Bison meat. I can highly recommend this place to anyone and we will be coming back. 👍👍👍

This bison farm is amazing. the staff are friendly, kind, very welcoming and they have a great personality, they have great knowledge of the animals they have. they answered all my brothers, dad and my questions. The animals there are very friendly, also very beautiful and very well looked after. its very calming and peaceful property. I would recommend visiting this wonderful place. and I`m will be back in the future.

We spent one night here but could have stayed longer. The hosts Mark and Ben could not have been more helpful. The kids had so much fun here with the birds, horses,cows,rabbits and of course the bison. We will definitely be back again. Fantastic place.

Best Place in all of Australia, we had the best night thanks to Damo his beautiful son and the team there, we got to experience things we never would have got to had we not come out to this beautiful space that has been created, it is a once in a lifetime, my kids did not want to leave ever! It was a true adventure I don’t even know where to begin with words! The care, love and respect that is given to the animals was honourable and the respect showen to the native home of the bison was beautiful to see also. Everything was super clean and comfortable and we where made to feel at home, with stories around the bonfire a true blessing of an experience with new friends made I couldnt recommend this place more highly

Great beach. Note that dogs are only allowed on the southern half of the beach past Dolphin Park. Some people incorrectly claiming that it's all "dog friendly".

Great dog friendly beach - our dog absolutely loved it. No shade and pretty rough so not a beach where I would spend a long time but perfect for strolling along and letting the dog burn some energy.

Your feet will sink in the soft white sand. Refreshing waters.

I’m a fan. And I will be back. There’s a huge abundance and variety of native edibles as well as other exotic edibles and plant stock to wander. Today we grabbed some great bargains for the beginning year of our food forest. The staff have been helpful, despite me not knowing what to ask - having almost no growing experience - they have been able to direct me to what I need to know. And the emails have been useful and informative- no excess.

Visited Daleys Fruit tree Nursery yesterday, and came home with a Custard Apple tree (Paxton Prolific)! My grandchildren and I can’t wait to pick fruit from our new tree. Luckily them know we need to care and water our trees before they start to fruit. The wait is worth it when you get the result of beautiful fresh fruit. Thanks Daleys for your advice

Happy with purchase: reasonable pricing, plant is good quality and arrived in very good condition. Especially, happy with fair pricing for delivering interstate, plus multiple choices on couriers. Other places online charged a crazy amount to deliver interstate, to the point it was not worth it to buy the plant, so I'm glad I've found Daley's! Will be shopping here again.

I have used Daleys to buy plants online about 10 times, and I've always ended up with a great plant. The website has lots of good information to help you choose the right plant for you and your climate with info on pollination varieties when cross-pollination, etc. Is required. The service is great, and they have quickly and helpfully resolved an issue the one time I had with one. I'll keep coming back! :)

Fantastic lookout! Only has 5 car parks directly in front of it, but there are more nearby if you don't mind walking a few extra metres! Beautiful view of the bay! Highly recommend!

This is a great place to see both the beaches in the ocean and possibly whales and dolphins as well this is a great Lookout Point it was very windy when we visited making it difficult to stay there too long but it was there are toilets there so it's a good for a break terrestrial likes of your own long drive highly recommended

You can see a lot from up here. (Some shrubs need trimming). Parking, picnic tables, toilets and viewing platform here.

A good place to stretch the legs and enjoy the views when the weather is nice. The area has a reasonable amount of parking spaces and your dog is allowed on a leash here. Toilet facilities and a few picnic places are available, alongside some shaded seating and a few maritime artefacts.

This is a really well set out lookout. There are multiple viewing platforms each with a great view. Heaps of tables for a picnic. Includes free bbqs to cook up a meal. There is more car parking than when you first drive in so continue on if the first bays are full. There are public toilets.

Easy parking and access to the shopping precinct. Had coffee and a light breakfast at Cafe near the food court. Delicious and great service.

Iconic mall with underground parking. Shop at all the usual suspects plus specialty shops. A cool respite in summer for what is known locally as a 'squang' but please don't neglect the CBD. Flooded for the first time in the unprecedented 2022 flood and has been completely renovated internally.

Such lovely and kind staff! So helpful and very knowledgeable about the town. They just reopened after a year and are still the first stop you should make in Lismore.

Fun place for the kids to play in Heritage Park beside the Visitor Information Centre, fully fenced with quite a few bbq areas Only Bad point is No toilets close to play area . Only toilets in Visitor Information Center ONLY whilst centre is open, surely Council could provide children's toilets at the park to use during day light only...

Polite staff although I think more advice and guidance could have been offered. I got a few ideas but could have got the same information from the leaflet rack next to the desk.

We stopped by The Big Prawn in Ballina, NSW, and it was a fun experience. This is definitely worth a visit if you are driving along the pacific highway/east coast. We stopped by here during our road trip from QLD to Melbourne and took some pictures. This attraction would be great fun especially for the kids. There is plenty of free parking available at bunnings car park.

We stopped by the Big Prawn in Ballina for some classic touristy photos. There’s no specific parking, but we just pulled into the Bunnings car park (no tickets required). We rode past on the weekend but it was packed, so we came back early Monday morning when it was quiet and managed to get a great spot for photos.

Easy parking. My eldest asked if they have a "Big BBQ" to go with the prawn, you could just pop in to bunnings to grab one while you're there.

Biggest prawn I've seen (so far). While standing in the Bunnings parking lot admiring the craftsmanship of this large crustacean, it began to thunder. That quickly, our admiration became tinged with fear. What other weather events might the Big Prawn conjure? Flash floods? Acid rain? Stop and see Him if you're in the neighborhood, but do so with the respect and appreciation He deserves. Only 4 stars because it could be bigger.

Big and funny prawn that is worth a quick stop if you are driving by or during a long road trip. Lots of free parking at Bunnings and you can go for a toilet break nearby at Faulks Reserve (the toilet opens from 6am-6pm). Definitely drop by if you get the chance and snap a pic or get a good laugh. Just make sure you don't get run over by cars while you are admiring this comically large prawn!

Not much to say other than I’m blown away. The big prawn thoroughly exceeds expectations both in size and grandeur.

We visited in the school holidays with our 3 kids. Ranging from 12yo-1yo. So much to see and look at. Also some interactive exhibits from scavenger hunts, knot tying and ship steering wheels and horns. You could easily spend an entire day in there just reading and learning but the bonus is it kept my kids captivated looking at all the model ships and a torpedo. So much history - we loved it.

An amazing and well curated museum. Well worth the $5 entry. Kept us busy on a rainy day. We will definately be going back again.

What a fabulous place! Even if you aren't into maritime, you will find it fascinating and learn lots. They cater for kids too, with a fact finding mission. So much history, displayed so well. You could easily spend several hours there, as there is so much to read and see. Congratulations to the volunteers who keep this place running. It's a credit to you.

Was just circling around the town and realised there is a museum around. 5 dollar entry... It's better to have cash in hand... They have a great collection of naval vessels models and useful trivia about it. A lot of captured vessels and their info too. It's definitely worth a visit.

Wow! What an amazing place to take kids to learn about all kinds of floating sea and river going vessels. My three year old grandson ate this place up! Needs repeat visits to fully absorb all there is to see. We lived all the boat models and pirate info. We will be back and at $3 entry fee it’s a great place to go on a rainy day. Some very cool & reasonably priced souvenirs are also available to buy to remember your visit. 5 stars!!

We have a great time at the museum. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the scavenger hunt was really fun. There were loads to look at and the boats were very detailed. We got to hold different shells and seahorses for finishing the scavenger hunt. I would definitely recommend this place. We didn't even have to wait, and the entrance fee was very cheap. It was quite cool in the museum, and we could see the ship's cabin in the olden days. It was really fun, and we hope to come back.

What an amazing place to visit. We were so impressed with the displays and all the models. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful. This is well worth a visit and I would highly recommend it.

Had a great experience this morning with the lady working! She was incredibly informative about the area and beyond for us travelling. We went to the lighthouse walk and spotted the dolphins. Highly recommend stopping in! We were also thrilled to get a iron on patch to add to our collection

As an international traveler, I found the Ballina Visitor Information Centre incredibly helpful. The staff were super friendly and gave me really good suggestions and ideas on what to do in the area, which made my visit to Ballina even more enjoyable. They have a wealth of information, along with fantastic maps and brochures that helped me get around with ease. I was also impressed by their wide selection of local souvenirs and gifts — I picked up some amazing local products and couldn’t resist the fun prawn socks! If you're visiting from overseas like me, make this one of your first stops. It's a great way to get oriented and pick up some great souvenirs to take home.

Called in to ask about whale watching. Very helpful and informative staff who booked for us and had personal experience with the trip. Really great service and so much better than relying on internet info. As a retail worker I value good service and this was provided. Thank you!!
