Cook Park is an easy 10-minute walk west of the Orange CBD via Summer or Kite Streets. Cook Park embodies the seasonal colours of Orange all year round. Summer's arrival brings gardens of stunning and vibrant coloured roses. From February to April, hundreds of begonias bloom in the 'Blowes Conservatory', and in Spring, a burst of colour arrives with masses of tulips and daffodils. A great picnic spot as well with ample playing areas.

Beautiful park for a relaxing day out! The scenic walking paths wind through plenty of gorgeous spots, with lots to see along the way. There are toilets and plenty of rest areas, plus a great playground if you’ve got kids in tow. The highlight for me was the group of friendly ducks who decided to follow me for part of the walk, absolute charmers! A lovely place to spend an afternoon.

Large park with lots of seating. A pond with ducks even, huge trees to marvel at also Flowers in winter mode but one can see potential. Greenhouses not in operation. Handy arts and craft store. Purchased a phone/ipad style mount. Works a treat. Enjoyable stop with walk around. Lots of street parking mid afternoon. Bit cool this time of the year but nonetheless worth the effort.

This is a historical park here in Orange and is a must visit. I will be returning many times as the park and its beauty changes daily. There is so much wonder and history to enjoy and be amazed by . Orange is known for its seasons, and this park is a fabulous place to partake and enjoy nature in all its glory. Add this to your daily walks or at least a weekly visit as this garden awakes from its winter slumber.

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

Car racing venue
Sights & Landmarks
Home of the Bathurst 1000 event, this road-race circuit has uphill stretches with panoramic views.
I came here because my husband is a big fan of cars and racing, and honestly, I’m so happy we checked it out. Mount Panorama Racing Circuit is amazing, the track is iconic and you can really feel the history and excitement just by being there. Walking around and seeing the circuit up close was something special. But the best part was definitely seeing my husband’s smiling face enjoying every moment. Whether you’re into motorsports or just curious, this place is definitely worth a visit. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
Zella B — Google review
A true icon and amazing destination for not only car racing fans. The views are beautiful, especially on a clear winter morning with the low cloud across parts of the town. Everyone you speak to on the mountain has a smile on their face. The walk is awesome and a great heart starter before jumping back in the car for a 3 hour drive. Thoroughly recommend the visit.
Roadcraft R — Google review
One of the all time greatest experiences of a life time. All fans of motorsport need to go to Mt Panorama, Bathurst at least once in your life. Awesome!
W Q — Google review
Finally made it to Mount Panorama, and wow, what an experience! Even when there’s no race on, just driving the circuit at normal speed gives you chills. The elevation changes, the sharp turns, the views over Bathurst… it’s unreal to imagine the pros flying through it at full speed. I stopped a few times to take in the scenery and honestly, every corner has history written all over it. The National Motor Racing Museum nearby is also worth the visit. So much passion and heritage packed into one place. Whether you’re into motorsport or just love a scenic drive with serious Aussie character, Mount Panorama is a must-visit. I left with a full heart, a phone full of photos, and a huge smile. Can’t wait to go back! 🏁🇦🇺
Aslaan S — Google review
It was interesting to have a look at the track and get an idea of what it's like to drive around. Speed limit is 60 can't imagine the speed the drivers do and in terrible weather conditions like this year. They are crazy or very brave
Pamela R — Google review
Nice track to drive for a taste of the car race even at 60km/h. The view at top of the mountain is wonderful

The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, housed in a former school building dating back to 1876, is a renowned destination for enthusiasts of fossils, minerals, and dinosaur skeletons. It is home to the prestigious Somerville Collection featuring over 2000 mineral and fossil specimens including a complete T-Rex skeleton and fossilized dinosaur eggs. Visitors can explore the museum's fascinating displays showcasing rare and scientifically significant minerals from around the world.
This is a small, compact museum with very interesting information about what kind of minerals are found in Australia and what they are used for. It shows lots of different ones, and had a Lego theme for the little ones. It also has various puzzles, games and 3 play areas to keep the young ones engaged and entertained. There is a huge dinosaur skeleton and multiple videos about mining, and how various minerals are found. The shop is also great, with lots of different items to buy. I recommend the visit.
Anne R — Google review
A wonderful little gem of a museum! Pun fully intended. We came with our kids on a weekday during school hours and it was pretty quiet. We had lots of space to explore the beautiful old rooms filled with spectacular mineral and fossil specimens. The displays are laid out with great visual appeal and well written educational information. We greatly appreciated the hands-on experiences for small children especially the microscope and dinosaur toys. Also the picnic table in the courtyard for a bit of morning tea before we entered. Staff were friendly and helpful, bathrooms clean and well maintained. Overall a lovely experience. I would recommend about 1.5-2 hours.
Edwina B — Google review
Wealth of history living in this cozy and compact museum! Awe inspiring displayed of collections around the country and globe! Quite a fascinating place where kids/adults in fact all ages people can learn about the past. We spent quite a long time inside the museum and learned a lot! Every pieces of collection has its own unique history and features. A must visit place for everyone! Highly recommended.
Tanzir A — Google review
Such a great museum with permanent fossil / mineral displays and other cool temporary exhibitions. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and clearly love this place. Shout out to the descriptions of tumble rocks and crystals at the gift shop, factual and science-based instead of wishy washy energetic 'benefit'.
Crystal N — Google review
A fascinating variety of minerals despite the small size, they had an engaging perioidic table and how they excavate the minerals, perfect for primary school aged kids.
Wendy L — Google review
Loved this museum! Our grandsons loved the T-rex skeleton (they were huge!), the fossils and the insects and animals in amber. I loved the displays connecting the periodic table to modern living; they are an inspired way to show how these minerals are used today. The mineral displays were beautifully presented with good information.
Karen L — Google review
Very modern and interactive museum specifically tailored for kids. Stunningly set in an old church. The T-Rex skeleton was fantastic, and so many things to touch and feel, and history of the earth video was great. Only a few small rooms here though, and an hour is enough. Definately worth a visit though.

Mayfield Garden

Park
Nature & Parks
Flower-filled green space with a water garden, grotto & tree-lined valley, plus giant chess.
I’ve been here 2 times now! What I always love about this garden is how big it is and how pretty all of the colourful trees. Would recommend to come during normal weekdays. ‘cause last year when I came, it was super busy because of school holiday (you won’t be able to take picture freely). I would also recommend to come earlier in the morning so you can really enjoy the entire place (follow the map!). Bring your own food and picnic mat as well!
Fionnula R — Google review
Amazing well kept grounds. The autumn colours were gorgeous! The different sections made wandering around interesting. Although a bit pricey for entry to a garden, I can understand how expensive it would be to maintain such a place. I would love to see the garden again in springtime.
Kathleen Y — Google review
Absolutely stunning gardens with breathtaking views all year round. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with so much to explore – from the formal gardens and hidden pathways to the water features and the lake. It’s a peaceful and relaxing place, perfect for a day out with family or friends. A place where heaven meets.
Ken S — Google review
It is a spectacular 65 hectare private garden that is open to the public. It is considered to be one of the the largest and most spectacular cool climate gardens in the Southern Hemisphere. It has sprawling gardens, maze, chapel, stumpery, aviary, garden rooms and every other feature across the garden. Popular place, need to go early to avoid the heat as well. Fair bit of walking around, some under shade. Uneven terrain, lot of walking on paved pathways mostly. Popular with tourists and locals. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Toilets available. Restaurant available at main entry/exit point. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy at off peak times. Great place for photography. You can book ready installed tents for overnight stays.
S V — Google review
A very wonderful place to visit. We went there Autumn season. The weather was perfect and the plants are vibrant. I suggest coming early to secure parking. We were not able to do the maze simply because we have a pram and a 2 year old with us. Nonetheless, the experience was worthwhile.

There was a lovely woman and a kind man at the café—maybe the owners or staff—and both were super friendly and welcoming. I asked for my coffee to be really hot, and they nailed it! (Not everyone gets that right.) The atmosphere was so cozy and peaceful. We spent around two hours walking in the garden, and had a great time with the kids. Thank you so much for your genuine kindness and warm smiles. ☺️ I absolutely recommend this place!
Ozlem C — Google review
Lovely cool climate garden. Will be spectacular a little later in the spring, and stunning during autumn. Cafe on site, staff friendly and helpful. We had a shared cheese/ meat platter for lunch, very filling. We visited during the week, and it was quite busy, would be extra busy on weekends and during holidays. Will be back to check it out during different seasons 💐🪻🍁🍂

Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum

Mentioned on

The Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum, situated in the Methven Street, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and anyone intrigued by military history. Established in 1912 as part of Australia's effort to become self-sufficient in defense production, this museum is housed within the former precision engineering factory. It played a crucial role during both World Wars, manufacturing rifles and machine guns. The site now hosts an extensive collection of civilian and military firearms, making it one of the largest in Australia.
Went to the small arms factory in February 2024. I was so impressed with the collections and exhibition of these delicate machines and fire weapons. Just noticed the recent break-in, it's obviously outrageous. Hopefully, these valuable guns will be recovered soon, and I really want to visit the museum again.
Licheng S — Google review
Amazing museum showing a nationally significant collection of firearms - but also the local history of metal fabrication n the same factory including intricate and amazing metal objects such as sewing machines, handcuffs etc. The volunteers running this place were super friendly and were very well informed. This museum should have more significant financial support from the federal and state government and Thales. If they only got 0.1% of Canberra's War Memorial budget they would be very safe and secure into the future. Support this museum in anyway you can!
Neil M — Google review
About 10-15mins walk from the train station. Very nice people that'll greet you up front. Artefacts are organised. They have very interesting items on the gift shop, useful for camping. I enjoyed the stroll around since I was addicted to action games such as PUBG MOBILE and CALL OF DUTY MOBILE that involves guns. Very intriguing to see them guns up close, especially the small pistols☺️. There were some war propagandas that reminded me of essays back in high school, made me sit there and analyse a little bit😆. Seeing them old switchboards and communication equipment blows my mind, seeing them up close just made me curious with how much it changed after a century. I'm an apprentice sparky so I showed them to the people I worked with and they're intrigued aswell. Would love to come back and have my family to tour.

Excellent collection !! Good history of the factory and memories ! Can’t believed there were 6000 employee working on site back in the old days and they’ve kept it well ! Helpful and friendly staff.
Missy C — Google review
If conditions are not good for climbing in the mountains come down to Lithgow and support this museum by paying a visit. Kerry and Keith are fantastic tour guides and have considerable knowledge of the museum and its displays. You don’t need to have a particular interest in firearms. If you have any interest in Australian manufacturing, machinery or history you will enjoy this museum. Thales and Lithgow council need to support the important work these individuals are doing and prevent the loss of an important part of Australian history.
Janet B — Google review
EVERYONE needs to come here. It is excellent and I believe will get better. The details around the history of the site and the manufacturing that occurred here is great. The volunteers there really care about the information and what they are doing. It is done really well and is very interesting. The gun collection has is amazing in Itself but the history of manufacturing that occurred here is amazing. This was at one time the largest small arms manufacturing factory in the southern hemisphere. They have set up as many old pieces of machinery that they can and intend to get some of them working - this is an amazing piece of history and should be HERITAGE listed. A great visit for anyone - get out there - take your children, take your mother - take your wife.

Jenolan Caves is a captivating tourist site nestled in the southern Blue Mountains, featuring 11 caves and underground rivers waiting to be explored. The ancient limestone caves offer an otherworldly experience with their expansive chambers adorned with stalactites, crystal basins, and sculptural formations. This natural wonder is not only enigmatic but also the oldest open cave system globally.
Amazing trail tracking experience, if you love adventures. A must go place for adults but if you are taking small kids, it would be recommended to take enough caution as the cave floors are slippery and the temperature is 15 degree Celsius all year round. You must pack your necessary sunscreen and anti fly sprays as there are flies all around in summer time. It is recommended to buy tickets online well ahead as it is a top adventure tourist destination.
Shamiul H — Google review
A surreal and amazing experience for visitors of all ages. Meals are served at the historic Caves House and cave tours offering access to various caves are available at all times of the *year (see note below referencing temporary closures in 2025). Australians have been touring the famous Jenolan Caves since they were first discovered in 1838 - and a tourist attraction sprang up in the 1920s that have continued to draw tourists from around the world. Lit from within using hidden lighting, each major cave has its own tour guides. The Lucas Cave tour is a popular one due to the features, as is the Cerebus Cave. Dress for the cooler subterranean temperatures, even in Summer. NOTE: *The Caves at Jenolan are presently temporarily closed (2025) to enable MAJOR ROAD REPAIRS plus the refurbishment of facilities, tracks and public access. The caves should re-open again to the public in 18 months. CONS: * Ticket Pricing can be somewhat steep, but worth it. * Caves can be cold, even during mid summer. * Previous road was narrow, single lane and precarious. * Beware of the stinging nettles in the outdoor area.
Marco N — Google review
Jenolan caves a world class and absolutely beautiful attraction that is located in the iconic Australian blue mountains. It's a bit of trek getting there on the small and windy road, which can be a little bit sketchy at times, but it is absolutely worthwhile. The area has many different caves for every type of adventurer and when you drive in, you drive through a massive open cave that dwarfs even the tour buses that pass through. It also has a wonderful German architectural theme due to its founding by German explorers and my favourite part is that it is always a perfect temperature of around 17°C inside the caves.
Andrew S — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience at the Imperial caves tour and left us wanting to do the other tours as well. Our guide gave us a lot of interesting facts and kept us all engaged throughout the tour. Plan to be at the barrier point (from where the operator vehicle escorts to the caves) at least an hour in advance. Park and walk or take the shuttle. The walk to the caves is easier than the walk back as it's mostly downhill. View of the blue lake from the walking path is amazing. Can't wait for the lake boardwalk also to be complete. Restrooms at the parking spot and near caves entry. Cafe near the caves entry serves quick eats. Toast / ready to eat items get served faster.

A great experience!! I've been a few times. Explored many of the several caves they have. I plan on going here again. Wasn't far from here, in a small pond, I got to see my first platypus in the wild. I'm told this is a very rare occurrence.

Please purchase a tour ticket before you head out there, especially during school holidays and public holidays, seen too many people regret on the long hours drive for not be able to tour the caves. It was very nice experience with our tour, our tour guide Jaime was superb. Highly recommended for family bonding, fun activities.
Lenny N — Google review
Went here on a trip with friends in May 2023. We chose to do two caves, the orient cave and imperial cave. The imperial cave was a wide cave, nice crystal formations but the highlight for me was the underground river the the turquoise water, that was amazing and looked so inviting. Of course no one is allowed to swim in there to preserve its beauty. The orient cave was truly beautiful. Compared to the orient cave, the crystal and rock formations here are truly stunning. The guide was also very knowledgeable and creative, pointing out formations and what they resembled. The kids on our tour loved that as they were also able to use their creative minds to form images of the formations. The drive accessing the caves at the moment is long and tedious due to several road works and closures in the area. There is a point where you will be prompted to stop and follow their vehicle down the steep and narrow road drive. There is ample parking in the area. Overall a very unique experience and I would be happy to check out other caves again (maybe once the road works are completed).

We recently visited and did the Chifley Cave tour, it was great with an amazing and enthusiastic tour guide who gave lots of information regarding the caves, including scientific explanations on formations, as well as stories about their discovery. I highly recommend this visit and loved the entire experience! The tour is also not rushed at all so you have plenty of time to take it all in, take photos and ask questions. Book in advance as it was super busy and we were lucky to make a spot! When we went the road was closed for several km's and required a one way escort, it's fine only adds 20ish minutes but I recommend going early to ensure you are on time - there is a nice cafe with plenty of bits to eat + coffee so you will be comfy if you have a wait. Better to way and enjoy a brew than be late!

Scenic World, located in the Blue Mountains Katoomba region, offers three main attractions and a 2.4 km walkway for visitors to explore. The railway boasts the steepest descent in the world, while the aerial cable transport drops 545 meters into the gorge. With an exploration pass, visitors can spend a whole day navigating the National Park and seamlessly transition between attractions.
It is a lovely drive into the Blue Mountains and it is our first time visiting. Scenic World was a great experience for the different views you get from the 3 rides. You just get a different perspective of the many natural wonders that the Blue Mountains presents. We rode each of the rides multiple times as you seem to notice more things each time you ride. We didn't get anything to eat while there as we brought food along but the cafe and restaurant were both busy each time we passed. A nice touch is that there a few water stations scattered around where you can fill your water bottle for free which is great as you hike around. All up, we all enjoyed ourselves and had a great day out in nature with some absolutely stunning views. Can highly recommend.

Outstanding day out! First of all, the staff are the nicest staff I've encountered, so welcoming from the moment you arrive. (Thank you Dominique for easing out little one into the excitement) The coffee from the Cafe was delicious. So much to see and explore, the dinosaur Valley was well worth the cost of a ticket. We drove from Queensland specifically for this and I would do it again and again! Absolutely loved and so did our dinosaur mad little one. One Day we will cherish.

Scenic World in the Blue Mountains is a fantastic place to visit. One can easily spend a day viewing the spectacular scenery and walking through the valley floor rainforest boardwalk. The funicular scenic railway was an amazing experience. It only travels for a short time, but it is very spectacular. Once in the valley, one has the opportunity to walk through a wonderful rainforest. The many sign boards explain not only the history of the location, but also features of the flora and fauna. During our recent visit, the Dinosaur Valley display was available. This was a real treat. The children present loved it. The mainly young staff were very friendly and helpful.

Scenic World is an amazing experience! The cableway, skyway, and railway all offer stunning views of the Blue Mountains. The air was cool and refreshing, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it was a bit cloudy, the view was still beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!
ARIS — Google review
We visited Scenic World on a weekday and had such a lovely time. The cafe and gift shop were both great — I especially loved the gift shop and ended up buying a few dinosaurs. The walk through the Dinosaur Valley was wonderful — refreshing, with plenty of fresh air and lifelike dinosaur displays along the way. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience was beautiful and enjoyable for all age groups.

Easily a great getaway with kids and adults. Can take it slow while strolling through the Jurassic Park themed Dinosaur valley. Katoomba falls and the skyway never disappoint. Book in advance to avoid being surprised by a sold out sign and miss the massive queue. Try to avoid busy days such as weekends or the wait for the cableways and train could be tiresome.

Amazing spot with great views. Well sorted and put together setup with friendly staff. Really enjoyed the afternoon here. Only ding on the star is I found the price steep, especially considering the scenic rail was down for maintenance.

Great day out for the whole family. Lots of different cafes with alcohol to enjoy the terrific views with. Only downside is there are a lot of tourists (can you blame them?). Would try to get there earlier in the day potentially? Either way it’s a great experience overall. :)

Located within the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains region, this garden provides a serene escape with its diverse flora. The surrounding area boasts quaint villages, waterfalls, walking trails, and numerous lookouts that offer breathtaking views of cliffs and gorges.
Thoroughly impressed with the Blue Mountains Botanical Garden. The sheer variety of plant collections is fantastic, from towering trees to delicate flowers. Particularly enjoyed the early autumn shades on the trees. The gardens are beautifully designed with lovely pathways, water features, and plenty of spots to sit and relax. It's both educational (good signage!) and visually stunning. A real treasure!

A beautiful and quiet place to visit with only the birds twittering and wind sweeping through the trees. The day was overcast but better for the photos and to avoid the heat! Bring a hat, enjoy a stroll or find a bench and enjoy the views.

Mount Tomah is my favorite place to take the kids for a scenic hike. The views are breathtaking, and the gardens showcase an incredible variety of plants. The trails are gentle enough for little legs, yet still packed with visual wonder. The kids love spotting unusual plants and running through the open spaces. It’s peaceful, educational, and perfect for a nature-filled family day out.

Visited on Saturday around noon time for lunch and on return leg from Katoomba after overnight stay at Wentworth Falls. Spent an hour there before having lunch on a beautiful sunny spring day. Beautiful manicured garden. Truly worth the visit on this route.
Edwardo L — Google review
💡A sunny spring afternoon stroll for the senses. It was just okay! Our bright, sunny drive to the Gardens unfortunately gave way to an overcast setting upon our arrival. We've always believed that large garden landscapes have the power to hold the senses captive, both in their carefully manicured areas and their natural growth. To fully ignite all the senses, a garden should engage sight, touch, smell, sound, and sometimes taste. For us, only two were truly engaged: sight and touch. + The souvenir shop was well-stocked. - There was considerable construction taking place around the landscape. - The overcast skies, although they set up a beautiful photo backdrop, were a bit of a letdown. - Our car battery died, and regarding the assistance we received from staff, I'll simply say: we were incredibly grateful that a lovely visiting couple volunteered to help us.

What a beautiful historic venue to enjoy with family and friends. Lots to see and do, ample parking, wheelchair friendly beautiful setting. Bell bird cafe has a broad but simple menu with unbelievable views of the mountains and the gardens. Great day out, just make sure you don't go on a cold day.

Beautiful wedding venue especially in the rain 😍 cafe was so great to get a delicious hot chocolate at, and I’m glad that unlike other places they didn’t water it down, it was all milk and chocolate. I only wish they gave more than 4 mini marshmallows! To me that equals one full size marshmallow hahah! But the place was beautiful and I will definitely go back..for a fifth time!

Echo Point Lookout (Three Sisters)

Mentioned on
24 lists
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Echo Point Lookout, also known as Three Sisters, is a must-see attraction in the Blue Mountains. The legend of the landmark tells the story of three sisters turned into rock to protect them from tribal war. Despite being busy, it offers unique and stunning views of the Three Sisters rock formations, valleys, and canyons.
First Impressions & Scenery Echo Point is one of those places that really lives up to the hype. From the lookout you get jaw-dropping views of the Three Sisters — three sandstone rock formations rising from the cliffs, set against the vast sweep of the Jamison Valley. Especially at sunrise or sunset, the light plays beautifully on the cliffs and valley, giving dramatic hues. On clear days the panorama is exceptional. --- Accessibility & Amenities The lookout is very accessible. It’s easy to get to by car or public transport (train + bus from Katoomba) without needing a big hike just to see the view. There are good visitor facilities: an information centre, restrooms, cafés/snacks near the site. There are multiple platforms and viewing points at different levels, so even if one spot is crowded, you can often find a slightly quieter vantage. --- The Walks & Related Experiences If you’ve got time, there are several walks starting or connecting through Echo Point: The Three Sisters Walk: relatively short, family‐friendly, gives a closer perspective of the rock formation. Prince Henry Cliff Walk: more extensive, scenic, passes many lookouts. Giant Stairway: more strenuous, descending into the valley (and rising back). Good for more energetic visitors. --- What’s Great Iconic views — this place is one of Australia’s classic outlooks. If you're visiting the Blue Mountains, this is sort of “must-see.” Very manageable — you don’t have to be super fit to enjoy big parts of it. Great for casual visitors, families, day-trippers. Good infrastructure — viewing platforms, visitor centre etc make it comfortable. Atmosphere — when it’s clear, and especially early morning or later afternoon, the sense of scale, mist, light, the eucalyptus forest below, the vast valley — it all works together.
Dhritiman N — Google review
A soul-stirring experience at Echo Point! Echo Point is simply breathtaking — and if you venture just a little away from the main lookout, it becomes magical. To the left, the Three Sisters Walk offers close-up views of these majestic rock formations and the endless blue horizon. To the right, the Lady Darley Viewpoint trail rewards you with peaceful, panoramic views — far from the crowds, where you can truly feel the stillness and grandeur of nature. It’s a place that humbles and uplifts at the same time. Take your time, breathe in the mountain air, and let the view remind you just how magnificent Allah’s creation is. 🌄✨
Hafizah O — Google review
Echo Point Lookout is absolutely stunning! The view of the Three Sisters and the surrounding Blue Mountains is breathtaking — especially when the mist rolls in. The weather was cool and refreshing when I visited, which made the experience even better. It’s a great spot to take photos, breathe in the mountain air, and just enjoy the view. There are also cafes and souvenir shops nearby. Definitely a must-visit in the Blue Mountains! 🌿⛰️💙

Following an invigorating trundle along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk, we found ourselves at the Echo Point Lookout. We were dropped off by the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus at Stop 9, then walked through to Echo Point. The walking trail was easy to navigate and could be completed at a leisurely pace. The scenic lookouts along the way of the Blue Mountains were well maintained and safe. Brilliant views of the mountains and valleys were had. Once at Echo Point, the crowds were evident, but not burdensome. The view of the The Sisters was spectacular. If one is able and fit enough, it is well worth the effort. Set aside a day of your holiday for this adventure walk.

Echo Point Lookout ia a great place to stop and look at the Blue Mountains and in particular Three Sisters. It seems always busy here as you would expect. The viewing area is suitable for everyone, including anyone with mobility issues. There is also a tourist information Centre and good amenities for all.

This location is incredibly easy to access and very walkable, offering stunning panoramic views in every direction. There are two levels that provide perfect vantage points for taking incredible photos. The area is well maintained, with clean and easily accessible restrooms conveniently located on-site, making it comfortable for visitors of all ages.

Beautiful view to start the hike/walk. The hiking was nice, safe (i.e. paved) trails, majestic plantation. I went once in summer, once in winter...winter can get cold so bring a winter hat. Walk to Echo point is about 30 minutes from Katoomb station, and ther is a gradual incline, so if you have bad knees, take the public bus (it's clean, cheap, and efficient). Worth the train ride from Sydney)!

The place is beautiful! The hiking trails are very well marked, but unfortunately some paths are closed. There are lots of viewpoints where you can admire the mountains! The only downside is that buses full of tourists come and go. So the entrance is crowded, but as soon as you venture off the beaten track, there's no one around!

Visiting the Three Sisters in Katoomba was such a magical experience. The moment we arrived, we were completely amazed by the breathtaking mountain views and the calm beauty of nature. My family and I also took a ride on the Scenic Railway, which is said to be the most inclined railway in the world, and it was such an unforgettable thrill. The air was fresh and crisp, and the weather quite cold, so a warm jacket is a must. It’s truly one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate how stunning the world can be.

It is a stunning view over the valley. I thought if I go during the week in the morning, it won't be that croqded, but I was wrong... there were sooo many buses. I mean the weather was noce as well. Keep that in mind!

Windy as usual but does not detract from the amazing views. Greatly improved access since our last visit pre Covid with adequate platform viewing even with a couple of coaches of visitors. There is a small paid parking area or look for off street paid parking. Can get a hot drink, meal or souvenir at the Lookout Echo Point plaza 5 min walk from the Three Sisters.

Bilpin Cider Co is a charming cellar door and picnic spot nestled in lush gardens and orchards. Families can enjoy a leisurely day out, strolling through the grounds, visiting friendly animals like sheep and alpacas, and indulging in delicious ciders. The farm offers pet-friendly outdoor areas with tables or sprawling grassy spaces for picnics.
We had great visit to Bilpin Cider! It was our first time visiting, and everyone there was so welcoming. We tried both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders—our favourite was definitely the original Apple cider, but honestly, everything we had was excellent. We tried the apple pie and it was absolutely perfect. Our little one had a blast watching the animals, and there was so much space for her to run around, which was great, also a big plus that the venue is dog friendly. Highly recommend checking it out!

Bilpin Cider had been on my must-visit list for the past few weeks, and today I finally had the opportunity to explore this gem – and I must say, it exceeded every expectation. Nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains region, Bilpin Cider is not just a place; it’s an experience. From the moment you step in, the entire atmosphere draws you in with its peaceful countryside charm, open spaces, and warm hospitality. One of the standout features is their freshly homemade ciders and beers, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic – there’s something for everyone. Each sip speaks of freshness and quality, with the crisp taste of apples beautifully coming through. It’s clear that everything is made with a lot of love and care. The food is absolutely delicious – generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re going in for a snack or a full meal, it will leave you satisfied and wanting to return for more. And then there’s the vibe – live music playing in the background, friendly people all around, and families just enjoying themselves under the open sky. It’s relaxed, yet vibrant. Truly the kind of place where you could easily spend hours without realizing how time flies. What really touched me was the personal touch of the owner. He personally came to each table, asking how the food was, if we wanted photos taken, and just genuinely connecting with the visitors. That level of attention and care is rare to see, and it made the whole experience even more memorable. In short – Bilpin Cider is not just a visit, it’s a whole vibe. Great drinks, amazing food, scenic beauty, live music, and heartfelt hospitality – this place has it all. I’m so glad I finally made it here, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and soak in some wholesome countryside magic. 🌿🍎🎶

This place gets better every time we go there and we have been going there for many years. It is a wonderful relaxing place with the beautiful grounds, very welcoming staff and good food. The owner Sean is always talking to the customers and also very welcoming to everyone. It’s great for families with Alpacas and Donkeys down the back and lots of green space to run around in. The ciders are great and you can get a tasting range on a paddle. This is the best venue in Bilpin.

The BEST apple pie I’ve ever had – hands down. We stopped by Bilpin Cider Co and while I was already excited to try their famous ciders (which did not disappoint – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options were super refreshing), it was the apple pie that truly stole the show. This pie was next level. The crust was golden, buttery, and slightly crisp on the outside but soft enough to melt in your mouth. The filling had that perfect balance of sweet and tangy apples – not too sugary, not too bland and just pure, comforting, home-style goodness. And the cream on the side was fluffy, fresh, and the perfect match. It was so good we had to order 3x!!! and yes, we happily finished all of them. The view from the deck, the friendly farm atmosphere, and the great cider range made it a perfect stop - but I’ll be dreaming about that pie for a long time.

The Australiana Pioneer Village Ltd is a living history museum located at 10 Ross Street, Wilberforce, Hawkesbury River. It offers a glimpse into the past with its authentic shops and buildings from the historic Hawkesbury district. Visitors can experience village life as it was in the past, with costumed guides leading tours and demonstrations such as whip shows and animal feedings. The village also features a blacksmith shop, antique machinery display, and a public school that kids can explore.
What a way to spend a couple hours in a sunny day,a very interesting place full of history. Loved the fact we could stroll into the houses and businesses and see how they lived and worked back in those days, people walking around in costumes, some live shows on how people lived, the hay ride was good and I loved the little train ride. This place is run by volunteers and they have done a great job to make it what it is today.

Had a fabulous experience, an unexpected visit but stayed full day, kids have enjoyed allot. After knowing all the aged workers there are volunteers i was really surpirzed and so much to learn from them. Restaurants and washrooms are clean. You can have a full picnic out there with family.

A fantastic place for kids and families! My child absolutely loved it — from the interactive exhibits to the chance to get up close with the animals. The small animals were very gentle and friendly, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended for a fun and educational visit!

Loved the enthusiasm of all the volunteers and staff, dressing up and demonstrations were well done as was the historical facts upon entering the buildings. The tractor ride and train ride were fun. Food options good if you forgot to bring a picnic basket as there is plenty of shade and grass to sit down as well as some covered table settings.

Never heard of this place but got invited to go with some friends. Immediately reminded me of Old Sydney Town which has unfortunately closed down. This was the closest to that I have encounctered. Really fun place even for adults! All the buildings are original and the atmosphere transports you back to the 1800s. I was so impressed by how intact the small village is. If you like old towns and bit of history you will love it. They have mini trains rides too and a few demonstrations/roleplays that happen through the day. The groundskeeper was very passionate and you can tell he really cares for the place. The village operates and is run only by volunteers with all proceeds going to the maintenance and running of the village. The volunteers were all so friendly and eager to tell us stories of the place.

Had a great day, my partner and my 2 Grandsons it was their first time. What surprised me was the “ Cartwright Cottage “ the original owners John and Julie Cartwright and the Micocks/mycocks are related to me as I showed the gentleman out the front playing his musical instruments I spoke to him about it. I rang dad and now he wants to come and see his relatives place back in the 1870’s.

The Australiana Pioneer Village is a charming and family-friendly spot with authentic colonial buildings, fun train for young kids and tractor rides. The admission fee is very reasonable ($25 for family of 4), it offers picnic areas, and affordable 2 food shops .

A Great pub that we keep coming back to when we are in the area every few years or so. The staff are friendly and the meals are decently sized too - I should have taken a few pics While you are there, check out upstairs historical display. Lots of interesting items and a large number of old photos of people from the area.

I'd wait until about 3pm so the beers are reasonably priced. Nice area and has a pretty cool old school pub feel. Food was a little average unfortunately. Bring bug spray too, the flies are insane.

Within the Wisemans ferry locality this restaurant is a landmark with so Much of history to explore. The building even though has crossed a century since as maintained decently enough. The staff at the restaurant was a in a bit of rush to clean out the tables and move on, however the view of the highlands from the restaurant was a pleasant view! The explanation of the history of Solomon’s house and the happenings in the building was spooky but were only believed to be, with no substantial evidences. The hotel is pretty near to the historic Wisemans Ferry and the convict trail.

Located at 5545 Old Northern Road, Wisemans Ferry, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 A great hotel to come to for lunch while on a Sunday Drive (or on any other day of the week 😂). It’s very popular with bike enthusiasts, especially on the weekends. It’s got a typical pub menu and the food is delicious. I had the fried chicken burger, cooked to perfection. My family loved their food as well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble, even when I asked for some modifications to my meal. It’s a beautiful old building with so much history, over a century old and has the Cobham Hall Museum located on the top floor, FREE entry and open every day. Well worth the look. There’s great live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, great to listen to while having your meal or drink. There’s street parking 🅿️ and a small car park but this fills up fast. The hotel is located on the Main Street of Wisemans Ferry so you can’t miss it. Would definitely recommend a visit while in Wisenans Ferry. Well worth it. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

Was awake all night getting eaten alive by mosquito's. And my room was right next to the shared bathroom people using it all night long . Never again was thinking of leaving at 1am In the morning. Food and service was good.

A heritage icon and one of the oldest surviving pubs in Aus. It's a landmark location with a museum upstairs and a pub downstairs. It's definitely worth a visit. The food however was too oily for a hot summer day, the hot wings was a complete let down which seemed to be coated with tobasco sauce. The chicken parmie was loaded with cheese and tasted good. The drinks were really good, do try their alcoholic ginger beer.

Attended for dinner last week, was not impressed by the staffs attitude, our food had a fly in it , disgusting. Would not recommend. Management did nothing to resolve the situation.

Excellent place. The carriage are so...amazing to visit. A great experience if you are riding the train. I visited the museum with kids with learning disabilities and they really enjoyed. Also, the staff on the train were exceptionally helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Great place for a family day out! Kids absolutely loved it. The train rides make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Plenty of souvenirs to choose from too. A must-visit for train lovers!

It is the main railway museum in New South Wales, Australia and located at Thirlmere which is about 90 km from Sydney or 2 hr drive. It displays locomotives, passenger cars, and freight rolling stock formerly operated by the New South Wales Government Railways. It is a lovely place to visit especially if you are a steam engine enthusiast. They offer steam engine rides to nearby on regular basis. Lots to see and learn about the use of steam through history. Toilets available on site. Cafe available. Easy terrain, all on one level mostly, lot of easy walking. There are exhibits on the grounds outside the museum proper that needs some walking. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Nominal fees charged for entry. Parking is easy on site. Great place for photography. Not crowded, some tourists and a number of locals
S V — Google review
I enjoyed my time at this museum. The volunteers are very welcoming and social, and the museum itself is great, with a theatre, kids activities, cafe and informative information on past trains with a massive collection of trains outside. The train ride is well worth the money - at the moment it terminates at Buxton and turns around. Can’t wait for it to be extended to Colo Vale in the future. Really important piece of history to preserve for future generations to learn about the history of railways in NSW.
Momen K — Google review
Went here for a birthday day trip for my dad. The were many trains to look at and interact with. The steam train ride was great, our tip is to open the windows! Great for kids and adults alike. There was a small train you can ride too, a mini theatre show, kids corner and a playground and picnic areas at the back there is a bbq area and dont forget to see the roundhouse behind the scenes area!

We had such a wonderful experience at the NSW Rail Museum! From the moment we arrived, everything was well organised and welcoming. The staff and volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about sharing the history of trains and rail travel. The exhibits were engaging and beautifully maintained, with plenty to see and do for all ages. Walking through the old carriages and seeing the historic locomotives up close was an amazing experience. It felt like stepping back in time, and we learned so much along the way. The train ride itself was a real highlight—relaxing, scenic, and such a unique way to experience the history of rail. Everything was run smoothly and safely, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to simply enjoy the day. It was a truly positive visit, and we’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend the NSW Rail Museum to families, history lovers, and anyone looking for a memorable day out!

Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park

Wildlife park
Nature & Parks
Nestled just 45 minutes from Sydney's bustling CBD, Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park is a delightful escape for animal enthusiasts and families alike. This charming wildlife sanctuary boasts an impressive collection of over 1,700 birds, mammals, and reptiles, making it one of the largest showcases of Australian wildlife in the world. Unlike larger zoos that can feel overwhelming, Featherdale offers a more intimate experience where visitors can engage closely with its adorable residents like wallabies and koalas.
I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park with my tourist group. One of the highlights was getting to take a photo with a koala, and I felt such joy feeding many animals, including the kangaroos. Those moments will forever hold a special place in my memory. The zoo, while not overly large, has a charming layout. Upon entering, you receive a booklet that serves as your guide—it's such a delightful touch! As you make your way through the different areas, you can stamp the booklet to mark the places you’ve visited, which adds a playful aspect to the experience. Although, like any zoo, it has its unique smells, I was truly impressed by the dedication of the staff. Their passion for caring for the animals shines through in every interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this lovely zoo if you ever have the chance; the close-up encounters with the wildlife are both heartwarming and unforgettable.

About an hour outside Sydney, this animal park is a great way to see some of Australia’s iconic wildlife up close—kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and a variety of birds. It’s very convenient for a day trip from the city, though it can get a bit crowded with tourists. I visited as part of a tour, which made it easy and enjoyable. For anyone short on time who wants a taste of Australia’s unique animals, this is definitely a worthwhile experience.
Mo K — Google review
Best part of the park is hand feeding the wallabies. They are just so cute and friendly! They are free to roam, though they are scaredy cats so close the gates gently to avoid them panicking and running for their lives! After this visit, I think they are the cutest animals in Australia, way way cuter than the always sleeping koala and the slow moving quokkas. The animals are very well taken care of, except for the wallabies which seem always hungry (maybe they'll be fed again after the zoo closes?). I visit on a rainy day which was a bit inconvenient because there're not enough places with a roof. But still it was fun checking out the animals. Though they seem less energetic. Quokkas are in enclosures, so if you only interested in them, you may want to buy the encounter package, which I think is quite expensive. Also, be sure to go to the lorikeet walk in which you can see the birds up close, but bear in mind it closes at 2. Tickets are cheap on Trip.com. I purchased on the day I went and it was around AUD 22. Animal food was AUD 5 a cup which was way more than enough to feed. I end up going back to near the entrance to feed the remainder to the wallabies. Overall very worthwhile taking the long trip to this zoo.
Ada L — Google review
One of the best wild life "zoos" in town, nestled in a suburban area, sufficient parking, and all wildlife within close proximity. Well cared for by staff, including volunteers. Staff willingly provide info about displays during timely feeding sessions, including photo sessions with koala, and close encounter in some displays, public can hand feed the "residents". Most impressive were "tree kangaroo", rock wallabies, quokkas, wallabies and echidna. Easy walk and compact exhibits. Reptiles, blue tongue and shingle back lizards... great easy 2+ hours' wallk.

A hidden gem - genuinely the largest Australian wildlife collection I’ve had the privilege of visiting and learning about. There are so many aviaries filled with the most beautiful birds, gliders and even ghost bats! The animals here are all very curious and friendly, and enjoy interacting with humans - you can tell that the animals here are well loved and cared for <3 I lost track of time looking around, highly recommend this beautiful sanctuary! Enjoy some of the quick sketches and pictures I took during my visit.

I absolutely loved my visit to Featherdale! It ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The animal interactions were incredible — I got to get up close with so many Australian animals, and the staff made everything feel safe, fun, and personal. You can really tell the animals are well cared for, and it made the whole experience even more special. I also loved how easy it was to get there using public transportation. The trip was super straightforward, and the park is conveniently located, which made the visit stress-free. Overall, Featherdale is a must-see. If you love animals and want an interactive, memorable experience, this place is perfect. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
Cicely C — Google review
We had a wonderful time at the sanctuary and enjoyed seeing all the nat ive Australian animals. It was very Hands-On and great for children because they can safely explore and enjoy the experience more freely than a larger, more structured zoo setting. All of these staff were very friendly and hands on. The gift shop was also great with lots of Australia souvenirs.
Laura B — Google review
Bit of a pokey location... literally in a neighbourhood. That said... for a privately run facility, there are loads of animals to see and you can even feed the roos. Nowhere near a Taronga obviously but definitely smaller and easier on the legs who can't do the Taronga distances. Worth a visit at least once.

Raging Waters Sydney is the ultimate destination for beating the scorching Australian summer heat. This expansive water park, formerly known as Wet n Wild, spans 62 acres and offers a plethora of attractions suitable for visitors of all ages. From adrenaline-pumping slides like the T5 Intense Water Slide to more relaxed experiences such as lazy river tubing, there's something for everyone. The park features 42 slides, a giant wave pool called The Beach, and even a Surf Life Saving Club.
What an exciting day at Raging Waters Sydney! The park is packed with fun and thrilling rides — from heart-racing slides to relaxing water attractions, there’s something for everyone. The wave pool and lazy river were perfect for chilling out, and the bigger slides definitely got the adrenaline going! The place is well-maintained, the staff were helpful, and there’s plenty of space to enjoy with friends or family. If you’re looking for a fun day out with water adventures and great vibes, this is the place. Highly recommend for both kids and adults! ☀️🌊

I went to raging waters at prospect. It’s a lovely place to go with the whole family. It has so many different things you could do. There is a world pool, different slides, a beach, dinosaur island. Plenty of water features and water areas for the kids. Lots of facilities, ice creamery, cafe, shops. Lots of areas to rest and relax. Lots of life guards. I just thought it was a very expensive $15 for parking, $65 for entry, frozen drink was like $10, 2 tiny scoops of ice cream was $10, chips were like $12 for a large. All the shops were very short staffed I waited 40 minutes for chips. Every time i needed something I waited a long line spent half my time there waiting in line. Should consider getting more staff for the food shops during peak days.
Ece K — Google review
We spent a full day at Raging Waters Sydney and honestly, it was one of the best family outings we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the energy was vibrant and exciting — the park is clean, well laid out, and there’s something for absolutely everyone. The ride variety is impressive. We loved the thrill slides like the T5 and 360Rush — intense, fast, and so much fun. My partner and I took turns doing the big rides while the kids splashed around in the children’s areas, which are really thoughtfully designed with safety and fun in mind. The wave pool (“The Beach”) was a hit with all of us — a great place to relax in between rides and just soak up the sun. We were pleasantly surprised by the staff friendliness. Lifeguards and attendants were attentive, patient, and seemed genuinely happy to help, which made a big difference — especially on a warm, busy day. Lines for the rides were reasonable for a weekend; we did wait a bit for the major attractions, but it moved steadily and didn’t feel frustrating. Food was decent for a theme park — a bit pricey, but the variety was better than expected, and everything we had was fresh and hot. I recommend bringing a water bottle and using the refill stations — super convenient and helps avoid buying bottled water. We rented a locker and found the facilities to be modern and easy to use. Parking was smooth, and we appreciated that everything was well signposted and organised. I’d definitely recommend arriving early to make the most of your day — and consider a cabana or reserved area if you want a more private base for your group. All in all, Raging Waters Sydney exceeded our expectations. It’s the perfect place for both adrenaline seekers and families with young kids. We’re already planning to come back next season — might even grab season passes next time. Highly recommended!
Benjamin F — Google review
Great park, awesome atmosphere. The slide lineup at Raging Waters Sydney is pretty impressive and it has something for everyone. The food options are as you'd expect from a theme park with hot chips, burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc. The prices for tickets and season passes are definitely reasonable. The only downside is the lack of investment in new attractions. A new slide tower would be very much appreciated for someone who goes each year. It has been too long since any new slides have been installed and would really benefit from some new intense slides.
Adam — Google review
Dear raging waters I be much appreciative if you could reply it was fantastic waterpark but however there’s lot silde s you can’t go solo and there was individual person who was solo and they try to share tube with group and one person in that group said no sorry when ride operator asked group if they could share and I know person saying no doesn’t know person and isn’t responsible to share but it was only sharing slide for two minutes it wasn’t like they were being told to share silde s for rest of day with stranger and I just think it’s unfair there’s not many solo rides anymore as people pay good money and they can’t get there money worth and I think before you pay online there should be warning that’s it’s strongly recommended you come with ride partner or otherwise you might not be given you full experience and understand rules are rules and I know person who said no sorry might not necessarily meant to be rude and might just be more case off not feeling comfortable with stranger sharing tube and our group agree to share with solo individual. But however poor solo individual did feel bit upset and solo individual did come to waterpark thinking they would able get on more rides solo and it’s fantastic park and staff were wonderful but just saying I do think might be worth while if there’s something on site before you pay online that’s it’s advise you come with partner to water park . Thanks for reading if you do and this is not complaint but I just wanted to put it out there to save people feeling disappointed if they come solo and might be better for them to not come solo and come other time when possible to have swimming partner with them . I would really appreciated if you could respond thanks .

We came on Saturday 4th of Jan on a hot day. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, the staff were diligent. Our young son loved the Junior area. Wait times were not too bad considering the amount of people at the water park. The food queues were at a minimum as I think a lot of people bring their own food. It was my first time here and I must say everything exceeded my expectations and i will definitely be back again
Ellena V — Google review
Absolute money making business- The queues are so long you spend most of the day waiting. Charging $15 to park your car, on top of an exorbitant entry fee. Overseas we paid $30 for entry to a waterpark with under 5 minutes waiting time, free parking, friendly staff who all took the time to make it enjoyable. Another water park we went to with inflatable course cost us just $3 each for the entire day. These prices are just ridiculous. Surely it must be closing down soon.
C R — Google review
I’ve been to many water parks around the world and this one is beautiful. There are a lot of fun attractions and a decent size kids area. The wave pool is massive and the staff was very friendly! If you’re have an odd number of people in your group or coming solo, be warned there are not a lot of slides where you can ride alone.

The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan is a sprawling 416-hectare botanical garden nestled in Mount Annan, offering a diverse display of Australia's unique plant life. Visitors can meander along wide, flat paths that wind through colorful garden areas and expansive open spaces. Families can enjoy the free entry, picnic shelters, barbecues, and playground with an exciting flying fox. Additionally, the garden features eight stunning wedding venues for ceremonies and receptions amidst its natural beauty.
I’ve visited Mount Annan Botanic Garden in both summer and spring, and it’s stunning every time. The landscapes change beautifully with the seasons — lush and green in summer, and full of colorful flowers in spring 🌸🌿. The best part? Entry is free! You can spend hours walking through the gardens, exploring the different sections, and spotting wildlife like kangaroos and birds 🦘🕊️. There are also great picnic areas where you can relax and enjoy the views. Every detail in the garden is so well thought out — from the plants to the open spaces. it’s honestly one of the most beautiful places near Sydney. Perfect for families, photography, or just a peaceful day out in nature.

Located at 362 Narellan Road, Mount Annan, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is such a beautiful place. You could literally spend hours walking around and it’s huge. There is a lovely cafe called The Gardens Cafe which offers a lovely selection of cakes 🍰 and other dishes and a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee ☕️. This is situated next to the information centre which is where we met our walking tour guides to take us on a very informative walk through the gardens. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the plants 🌱 and their history. The walking tour is run by volunteers and costs us only $15 each. Would definitely recommend. If you don’t want to do the walking tour, the gardens are still worthwhile just wandering around and discovering it yourself. The lakes are so pretty and there’s plenty of places to sit, either directly on the grass or there’s also tables situated around along with BBQ facilities. There’s a children’s playground situated next to the cafe and toilet 🚻 facilities also situated around. The gardens themselves cover a vast area and you can actually drive around on the roads through the park. I would absolutely recommend a visit, I really enjoyed my time there. A big Thumbs up!! 👍👍👍

This expansive property is very well managed. It has changed a lot in the twenty years since my last visit. This abundantly colourful Spring day was teeming with flowers and visitors, but it never felt crowded. A wonderful display of over 180,000 different plants, both natural and cultivated varieties. Free entry.

The whole park is clean, peaceful, and well-organized, with lots of shaded areas and seating. It’s a great place to relax, explore, or just enjoy nature. We have always loved this beautiful park... so many gorgeous spaces... nice for a walk, run or just to picnic with friends or lie in the sun... but the recent increase in very large groups, often very noisy and unmonitored, with little regard for others around has soured the experience a little... jmhence the loss of 1 star. Hopefully council can do something to enforce a more peaceful amd respectful conduct to bring the park back to being the beautiful, peaceful relaxing place it has always been!
Maud ( — Google review
It is one of the biggest parks i have been to with two playgrounds for the kids and a spacious parking area. Great for BBQ, picnics, strolls, and gatherings. I took my kids' bicycles as there are friendly paths with minor slopes.

There’s plenty of parking, with two car parks, and two playgrounds for kids. We came for a walk and enjoyed the many flowers in bloom. There’s also a very large fenced off-leash dog play area, complete with bin bags and tennis balls provided, which was great to see. Plenty of shaded spots make it ideal for a picnic. There are also ample toilet facilities. Additionally, there are some short bush walks just off the main path—they’re brief but enjoyable.

One of the nicest parks I’ve been to in the city (and outskirts). Calm and expansive with lots of fun little places to check out the different garden sections. I really enjoyed getting to check out the homesteadthe mechanical/tractor shed (pics supplied) and its garden, and then just walking around and reading about all the gardening projects that are being created. Well worth a whole day visit, being along a picknick setup, standard park electric barbecues are available, very kids friendly and just a lovely outing for a day!

Beautiful park, with several shelters for picnic, bbq, and enough parking spots. We visited there over the weekend it was quite crowded but as the park is big, it was ok. There is a nice playground for kids available. Also many ducks in the pond. It is a dog friendly park, also has a small fenced area for dogs at the back.
Somayeh ( — Google review
Lovely large park, with playground for toddlers to bigger kids, plenty of parking (we went at 10.30am on a Saturday). Little farm there too, albeit with no animals. More of a historic farm, but educational nonetheless. Only fee is to park which is a set daily price of (I think) $4.50. There are two entrances, that dont connect via road, but do via walkways, which takes you through world gardens, which is nice and peaceful.

Really beautiful park, quite expansive. The toilets could be better maintained.

This place has everything. Food for every taste bud. Retail outlets that are genuinely on sale. Smart shoppers will know the difference. Spacious walkways. Parking - well there’s plenty but everyone just wants same level well that can’t be a negative. Toilets are clean and the overall place is clean

Great place for very good quality buys! Easy parking and if you have an electric vehicle, you easily charge up your vehicle! Great food hall with lots of choices to pick from, you will never go hungry! But the outlets, the outlets are so good… must go for those special things we all need and desire!

I really like DFO Homebush — it’s one of my go-to spots for shopping, especially during the mid-year and end-of-year sales. As someone who’s quite conscious about how I spend money, I always plan ahead and take advantage of these sale periods. It allows me to go on a bit of a budget-friendly shopping spree without any guilt. I remember once buying 11 items from Cotton On for just $130, which felt like such a win! Whether I’m shopping for myself or picking up gifts to take overseas, this place always delivers great value. I often add things to my cart or list in advance and then wait for the best time to grab them at discounted prices. The parking is convenient and not too far from the entrance, but I’d recommend going on weekdays if you want to avoid the crowds. Around Christmas time, it can get chaotic with long queues — I once waited for an hour just to pay! But overall, DFO Homebush is a great shopping destination with a wide variety of stores and consistent deals. A smart choice for bargain hunters and savvy shoppers alike!

DFO Homebush offers a mix of sports gear, electronics, fashion outlets, and a handful of food stalls to recharge between shopping sprees. While the variety is decent, I found the prices to be on par with regular stores outside—so don’t expect massive bargains. The food options are also somewhat limited, so it’s more of a quick bite than a full dining experience. Still, it’s a convenient spot if you want everything under one roof.

👎 Review🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳🪳 I usually visit this store quite often, but during my last visit I saw a lot of cockroaches in the kids’ toy section. 😟 This is completely unacceptable in an area where children play. What’s worse is that the fast-food section is located right next to it, which makes it a serious hygiene concern. I really hope the store management will take this issue seriously and improve their cleaning and hygiene standards to protect families and children. 24/8/2025

Located at 3-5 Underwood Road, Homebush, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a great location to come to for all your BIG brand outlet shopping. There is plenty of brands from Versace, Victoria’s Secret, UGG, Strand, Snooze, Smiggle, Road & Gunn, Platypus Shoes, Peter Alexander, Max Mara, Adidas, Nike, Armani, Billabong, Calvin Klein, Ferragamo, GANT and much more. There’s a great little children’s playground situated near the food court which has a small selection of places to eat or drink such as Bamboo Sushi 🍣, Mad Mex, Roll’d, Maharaja’s Indian Cuisine, Oporto and more as well as a Gellatissimo for a beautiful dessert. Situated throughout the centre is also Lindt Chocolate Outlet, Muffin Break and others. The centre basically consists of 2 main floors with the upper floor holding more shops from what I saw. There’s plenty of seating situated throughout and very good toilet 🚻 facilities including disabled toilets. It’s very wheelchair 🦼 accessible and plenty of parking 🅿️. I wouldn’t say it’s cheaper to come as the sales/specials I saw were pretty much on a par with the same shops in main stream shopping centres. It’s an easy centre to get around. I would definitely recommend visiting. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

the go-to place for outlet shopping in Sydney. 🛍️ With a wide range of local and international brands, you can find great discounts on clothing, shoes, bags, and homeware. The layout is easy to walk around, and the food court offers plenty of dining options for a break. It can get crowded on weekends, but parking and access are manageable. A must-visit if you’re looking for bargains and brand-name shopping in one spot.

DFO Homebush is a shopper's paradise! Located just 15km from the Sydney CBD, this outlet mall offers an unbeatable selection of top brands at discounted prices. With over 80 stores, you'll find everything from fashion to lifestyle products. I was blown away by the range of brands available, including Polo Ralph Lauren, Converse, and Fossil. The discounts are incredible, with prices slashed up to 70% off regular prices. I scored some amazing deals on designer clothing and accessories. The mall is well-laid out and easy to navigate, with undercover parking available. Be sure to arrive early, especially on weekends, as parking can get a bit hectic. Overall, DFO Homebush is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for quality brands at discounted prices. Whether you're a fashionista or just looking for some great deals, you won't be disappointed. So, grab your friends and get ready to shop 'til you drop! *Rating:* 4.6/5 stars

The best wildlife park ever! My wife and I had a wonderful date at the park. The animals were absolutely lovely, and being so close to them made the experience feel magical. It brought us even closer together — truly an unforgettable day!

Absolutely loved our day at Symbio Wildlife Park! The animals are well cared for, and the park is beautifully maintained. Feeding the kangaroos and getting up close with koalas was such a special experience. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the keeper talks were both fun and educational. Awesome small zoo with Australian animals and others. Quickly walkable, mostly flat, kids water park. My favorite is kangaroo petting park. Can feed animals in narn and wallabies. Great zoo!! And lots of koalas moving around!

Symbio is a one of the world's truely great animal parks. Wonderful collection of animals well displayed in large and well designed enclosures. The animals are healthy and not stressed. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained. It is an absolute pleasure to walk around this park as if it is a botanic garden. Something for all ages - farmyard, open kangaroo feeding area, Splash Park water fun, kids playground, plenty of seating and shade and excellent keeper talks. Cafe has quality food too.

One of the best wildlife zoo within close proximity of Sydney. Situated within natural bushland setting also contains a huge splash park for hot long days. Enjoy their animal talks and encounter. They've newly added penguins. You get taste chance to feed zoo animals and pat kangaroos. Oh yes, NRMA offers discounts on entry 👏

Had the best time here with my 2 year old niece. The animals seemed so relaxed and were active and the park is well maintained and so clean. Great day out for all ages!

Great for children, we went on a very cold day and saw everything in about an hour and a half. Got to feed kangaroos and you can pet all of the farm animals. Great entertainment for kids and it looks like there is a lot of fun things to do when it’s a bit warmer
Madeline A — Google review
Great place for younger kids. Enough variety of animals to see. There's a playground halfway through to take a break and a splash park at the end to cool down. Definitely the best I've been to when it comes to feeding kangaroos. Highly recommended 👌🏻

A highlight is the Sea Cliff Bridge, an architectural marvel that curves over the ocean, offering breathtaking views from its pedestrian walkway. While parts of the drive are narrow and winding, it provides stunning vistas of both the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountains. Grand Pacific Drive Overview A Scenic Coastal Journey: The drive stretches 140km, offering a mix of rainforests, rugged cliffs, and pristine beaches, extending from the Royal National Park to the Shoalhaven region. Walkable and Scenic: A dedicated pedestrian walkway allows visitors to stroll along the bridge, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding coastline.

🌊 Unforgettable Views on the Grand Pacific Drive 🌉 This place is truly breathtaking — a must-see on any trip! The Grand Pacific Drive stole my heart with its dramatic coastal views, winding cliffside roads, and the endless blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. What made it even more magical were the paragliders soaring above. Their colorful parachutes floating in the sky added a surreal touch. Watching them glide gracefully over the cliffs — it was like a dream. You can literally feel your breath catch from the beauty and the height. If you ever have the chance, don’t miss it. Just stop, take it all in, and let the moment live in your heart forever. 💙
