Found the staff to be rude and unhelpful. Waited 40 minutes for a board repair the day after we picked it up, then had to go back again to have the bindings fit correctly because that wasn’t done correctly at the time of repair. Wouldn’t recommend as it wasn’t a pleasant or easy experience.

The workshop guys in this shop are fantastic and really know their craft. After another shop botched adjusting my skis to my new boots to the point that they were unusable, these guys did some MacGyvering and had me on the snow in 5 minutes.

A Perfect Family Snow Trip! We had an amazing time at Selwyn Ski Resort! It’s a fantastic spot for families — our kids had an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the ski lessons were well run. Big shoutout to Paige, who was wonderful with the kids! Paige looks after us last Sunday for a group of 10 kids. Ski hire was much cheaper than at Thredbo or Perisher, which was a great bonus. While food prices were a bit higher, it’s understandable given the seasonal nature of the resort. The resort closes at 4:30 PM, which actually worked out well for relaxing evenings. The drive up was stunning — snow-covered and very scenic. We also found more affordable accommodation options nearby in places like Tumut. Overall, this was our best snow trip yet — we’ll definitely be back super soon! Subject: Disappointing Experience at Selwyn Ski Resort – Request for Resolution Dear Selwyn Ski Resort Management, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the experience my family and I had at your resort during our visit on the weekend of July 13, 2025. Arriving at 8.30am Unfortunately, the quality of service we encountered was far below expectations, especially considering the high cost of our visit. 1. Staffing and Operations: Given the online booking system in place, it would seem that you would have had an accurate indication of the number of visitors for that weekend. However, it was clear upon arrival that your resort was significantly understaffed. Your rental desk had five counters, yet only two or three were staffed, with minimal assistance provided to the large crowd. We had to wait for over 5.5 hours just to pick up our rental gear. By the time we were finally on the slopes, it was 2:45 pm, leaving us with just 1 hour of skiing before the resort closed at 4pm. As we had paid for full-day lift tickets for 2 adults and 2 children, this experience was incredibly disappointing. 2. Lift Ticket Machines: Out of four available machines, only one was functioning, causing lengthy delays and further frustration for all visitors trying to purchase tickets. This level of disorganization is unacceptable for a resort of your size. 3. Food and Beverage Service: At the cafe, there were only two baristas managing both coffee orders and counter service. The wait times were excessive, with a 45-minute wait for a coffee and hot chocolate, which is simply unacceptable. 4. Facility Cleanliness: The resort's toilets and other facilities were noticeably unclean, and I did not observe any efforts to maintain or sanitize them throughout the day. This is particularly concerning in a high-traffic environment like a ski resort. 5. Cashless Payment and Connectivity Issues: While I understand the move to a cashless resort, the lack of proper internet reception is a major issue. Many visitors, including ourselves, were unable to complete transactions or access your website due to poor mobile network coverage, leading to further inconvenience. In light of these numerous issues, we have clearly been misled by your advertising and charged for services that were not provided as promised. As a result, I will be lodging a formal complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for misleading advertising and inadequate service delivery. Given the severe lack of service and the frustration we encountered, I kindly request a full refund for the lift tickets and rental fees pre paid for close to 4 weeks before our attendance. I hope you will take the time to address these concerns and take immediate steps to improve the guest experience for future visitors. I look forward to your prompt response. If your TIME is valuable, this isn’t the place for you, don’t be fooled by 5 star reviews in here. I hoped bad reviews on this were just one bad weekend, it isn’t. This place wouldn’t care about your time, ski hire queue is the slowest queue on earth - we waited for over 3hrs on a not so long queue to get the skis, and it was already midday by the time we got them. And we missed our lessons and when we tried to communicate that, they showed us others who were also in same boat and the guy at counter was like I can’t do anything about it. He offered to book a lesson for $50 😆- which I can do myself too. You’d think you are better off if you BYO skis or hire elsewhere- you are happily joining another queue to use the chair lift. If you are hungry, you are joining another queue, coffee? There’s another queue. They should change the name to Queues Snow Resort 😁 This place is greedy and will issue as many tickets passes as possible with no attention to capacity in terms of staff or facilities. Staff seem helpless, well under capacity snd unhappy. The cafe area was almost always full all day, so you can’t really find a place to sit. Toilets were ok. Locker says $10 small locker box but i paid $14 for small locker 12?7

I don’t think it was really that affordable like their slogan says, especially the food they are selling at their cafeteria (honestly it’s too expensive and not worth it). And you gonna spend minimum 1 hour at the que for rental if you don’t book online beforehand. But it’s a good place for a first timer like me who wanted to try snowboarding or skiing. And the best part is, they have a huge parking space.

We visited on Monday. There wasn’t much snow, but the beginner slopes were well covered and suitable for skiing. There was also a toboggan area with plastic sleds, which was a lot of fun. The café in the food court makes excellent coffee — even the decaf was outstanding! Highly recommended. The price was $8.50 for a medium cup, which is a bit steep, but the taste made it worth it.

I recently organised a ski trip for a number of families. I have skied quite a lot but most of the group were beginners. I was very happy to have chosen Selwyn!! I was at Thredbo one month ago so easy to compare. Selwyn is so chilled compared to the craziness of Thredbo. There are more runs over there but you really pay for it! The cost of the lift tickets and lessons were so much better and affordable at Selwyn. I particular wanted to mention Stefan and Jimmy who taught my daughter. She learned so much more than at her snow boarding lesson at Thredbo. They they really encouraged her and before the day was out, she was all over the mountain! I also want to acknowledge those on the lifts. They were so friendly and fun! Thanks so much our entire group had a really wonderful trip and we will definitely be back!

As a first timer to see the snow, I was thoroughly impressed. A 4 and a half hr drive from Sydney. We were amazed to see the difference in weather from muggy in Sydney to a downpour of rain in Jindabyne. The drive to Selwyn has you doubting that snow even exists here in NSW. It's not until you are 1 hr out from the resort that the snow and ice appear. Absolutely breath taking views. The resort is nice. I wish the machines were working out of the 6, There only was 1 which worked. Which an employee had to stand there and hand feed cards through. Also, maybe cover the kiosk machines. I was retieving 10 cards yesterday and found it hard as the place where the kiosks are placed is right bang in the middle of an air tunnel, and it's freezing. There is no cash on premises it is strictly cashless. Staff and instructors were incredibly helpful/ patient and kind. We will definitely be back again.

So glad we did this! These guys are amazing, love their horses and enjoy sharing it with people. The area and scenery were beautiful. I rode on Bones, who was a gentle brown brumby. The guides were so knowledgeable about the area and horses. Cannot recommend this enough.

Thanks TVHR! We were well looked after on a 2 hour ride up the mountain. Nev had a multitude of local knowledge pointing out landmarks and made sure we were safe and enjoying our ride. Nev and Freyja's love and care for the horses shone through and they were keen to share this with us. We rode Xena and Indy, both amazing steeds. We would love to come back to do the river ride one day.

We had a fantastic experience riding the well-behaved horses. The ride was not only enjoyable but also exceptionally well organized. What a DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!! Honestly the best day EVER! Linda was super easy to communicate with, very lovely lady! Linda, Nev & Freir were outstanding, all their knowledge, support and kindness could not have been faulted. They have put in so much hard work to ensure the rides are safe, fun and super enjoyable. The horses had an amazing connection with their owners and you can see how well they are looked after. Along the ride, we were provided with abit of history of the area as well as some interesting information about the horses that were selected for us. The horses were fantastic, so kind, humorous and just beautiful souled. We enjoyed every second of it and will be back again! Truly the best day ever!!!!!! <3

Booked for lunch as a stopover to Thredbo as we've been previously and loved their sticky date puddings so decided to go back. Food was good - the Schnitzel was actually the highlight this time! The sticky date sauce was a little sweet compared to what we remembered (the ice-cream helped soften this!) but it was still decent, especially if you prefer the denser texture with date pieces! It was a busy Saturday lunch so service was slightly slow and less attentive but overall, lovely vibes and surrounds! Good variety of schnapps too!

A wonderful spring experience to finally visit with a friend and my Assistance Animal. Free tasting, mouth watering afternoon tea. Staff are so friendly and service is top notch. Grounds are well kept and being a Vodka fan had to buy a bottle and surprised my tastebuds with Apple and Pear Schnapps! So great to meet one of the owners who's locally born and raised as I am. We paid a visit over the weekend and ordered the schnapps tasting. We chose: Butterscotch, Peach, and Pear, and here's how they stacked up: 1. Butterscotch: This one’s a crowd favorite, and for good reason! Right from the first sip, you get hit with this amazing, sweet aroma that really draws you in. The taste is rich, creamy, and just downright indulgent. But after a couple of sips, it did start to feel a little too sweet, almost like dessert in a glass. Still, it’s perfect for those with a sweet tooth. 2. Peach: I really enjoyed the peach schnapps! It had a lovely scent, light and refreshing. The flavor was super smooth, with just the right amount of fruity sweetness. This is definitely a drink that’s easy to sip on and feels perfect for a sunny day. 3. Pear: Sadly, the pear schnapps didn’t quite do it for me. It tasted a bit too much like cough medicine. The flavor was kind of flat and not as enjoyable as the others. Definitely the least favorite of the bunch. As for the distillery itself, it's a great spot to hang out. They’ve got both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can choose where you want to chill. The outdoor area is really spacious, with lots of room for kids to run around, and there are some cool sculptures scattered around to check out. It’s a nice mix of a laid-back vibe and a beautiful setting. Overall, Wildbrumby is definitely worth a visit. The schnapps tasting is a fun experience, especially if you’re a fan of unique flavors, and the whole place is perfect for a relaxing day out. Just make sure to go easy on that butterscotch unless you’re ready for a sugar overload!

Made a lunch booking here at the recommendation of a few friends. We had a really lovely time, the property is beautiful and the food & service were pretty good. Enjoyed a paddle od schnapps- peppermint, sour apple, and devils tongue (chilli) which was my favourite. Had some cheese and crackers, olives, and the pork sausages which were all really nice. Definitely worth the stop.

This place was very crowded at lunchtime, and we couldn't get an outdoor table since we hadn't booked in advance. We tried the pumpkin soup, cheese platter, and sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream. The pumpkin soup was a bit bland, and the cheese platter wasn't worth the price. However, sticky date pudding was really good. There is plenty of space for kids to play and a perfect view for photos. Ample parking available. Overall, I'd come back here just for the ambience.

It's a must visit place if you are travelling down to Snowy Mountains ! The location is beautiful and in midst of mountains . We enjoyed the pumpkin soup and the cheese platter. The staff are very welcoming and suggested us some good food ! Make sure you reserve a table before you go here as it can get packed .

This place was the best value for money to eat in the area. Very well priced and the portion sizes were spot on. Thai fillet could have been slightly larger however, the BLT was HUGE! They forgot the cheese for the kids cheese burger 🤣 also great to see they did not have any gaming. Service was a bit relaxed, was definitely a local 😊 If we ever make it back there will make sure we have a feed at this pub.

Our first time experience stay 2nights 3 days accommodation in Jindabyne NSW, Lake Jindabyne Hotel. Our room has access to the beautiful Lake at the back, morning sunshine and afternoon so nice to walk. Meanwhile Hotel services nothing to complain about, complimentary free breaky is good to start with each day, food is freshly prepared, car park is infront door of our room accessibility, so choose the ground floor I best recommend, room is enough for 3 pax, with complimentary coffee tea sugar mini bags, towels , toilet bathroom facility is separated which is good. Staff members are accommodating hope it’ll be practice at all times. The location is accessible to shops groceries petrol ATM banking, a meat pie shop is delicious meaty beef chunk. We still have tomorrow to enjoy our stay in LJH,,

It's been 8 years since I stayed here and wow what a shock I got when we saw our room this time round! Initially, I thought it was a little pricy since I went last but I can say I got value for money! The new building is incredibly aesthetic and warm! There was plenty of room and towels for our family of 5. Kids loved their own tv. The hot breakfast was as good as before, if not better. Still love the central location in town and a quick walk to pubs and clubs and lake views. Down fall is that there is no toilet upstairs in the master room of the family suite and no full-time reception.

We stayed here for a couple of nights during the winter school holiday. It has been an excellent experience. The check in process was fast (drove straight to the designated parking in front of the room and opened the door using codes in the email); the room was welcoming and clean, with a fabulous view over the lake; the bistro was warm and served good value food; the breakfast was standard though well presented; best of all, it is a great location close to the snowy mountains.

We love the 'Jindy Hotel'. It's had the same manager (Graham/Pops) for many years and we're always welcomed back by him and his team. I always had the daily special for dinner. The pork sausage pasta on the Sunday was great!! Location is perfect with a short walk to the rest of town. There's a really cool chairlift sculpture down by the water (head down and turn right) you should check out if you have the time.

Best hotel I’ve ever come across. What stood out was the included breakfast! Perfect before a snow day. Only critique is they need a cafe added onto the premises. The loft lodge king suit was next level! Highly recommend.

Staying at the Lodge was amazing. So new, so clean, such good value. Lovely big comfy beds in super spacious rooms. We travelled with a baby and it was so safe for her to crawl around everywhere. Great to have a few drinks next door too.

What a fantastic winery and microbrewery. Great looking menu, good live music this afternoon. Ginger cider was fitting on such a hot day, being from Berridale there is no doubt we will be frequenting this place. Can't wait to sample the beers! New owners have arrived in January 2018, and are young, attentive and very hospitable - I had a great time. It is at the end of a fair bit of dirt road (depending on which way you come) but was definitely worth the drive. It even has a carpeted kids' room with a massive chalkboard for the young ones to draw, or chill on mats and read some books or play with toys.

Fantastic collection of the Snowy Scheme, very different to the Cooma snowy discovery centre. This museum has more original and dated artefacts from the scheme and workers including buildings, machinery, tools, stories and the place is ran by volunteers and locals. Definitely worth visiting and supporting the museum in Adaminaby.

Very disappointed, phoned the contact as we'd arrived out of opening hours, lady not happy at opening for the two of us but said she'd be about 10 minutes. 25 minutes later still no show! The sooner these people wake up to the fact that tourists travel 7 days a week and not just on Saturday or Sunday the better. Oh and they missed out on what would have been a generous donation.

Entry with a gold coin donation, and you are immediately introduced to a world of history. There is so much to see, so many suprisingly interesting facts and fun opportunities to experience/photograph along the way. You exit via the store, with a bunch of goodies to purchase. Staff were friendly and offered a guided tour or allow you to do you own wondering. Highly recommend visiting, suggest allowing plenty of time if you want to go through in more detail, though you could go through as quickly or as slowly as you like (within the opening hours of course).

A fascinating history of correctional services in NSW from the First Fleet to present day. Lots of exhibits, old signage, photos. I think we spent almost 2 hours there and didn't read everything. Well worth a visit.

I was so impressed by the Crime Through Time Museum in Cooma — it’s clear how much effort and passion has gone into preserving this important slice of history. The collection is fascinating, ranging from old police records and uniforms to stories of bushrangers, local crimes, and even everyday objects that bring the past vividly to life. In particular, the original gallows from Bathurst are in place — a rare and chilling piece of history that makes a real impact. I could only suggest adding a volunteer to run organised tours on certain days and times, to further explain and highlight the many interesting items in the museum.

This morning in June 2025 we had trouble contacting a Hotel in Cooma , the staff at the Cooma Visitors Centre , were amazing , going out of their way to help us , even independently contacting the Hotel and getting them to call us , I highly recommend people to visit them and contact them , you will not be disappointed , it's great to have a service like this , and it's vital to areas to have and maintain services like this

Very popular place in the heart of the town. Great information service.

The discovery centre is not big but it gives a good overview of the Snowy Hydro scheme. The terrain model shows the scale of the scheme, with lights showing tunnels, power stations and all the lakes. The operational dashboard on the wall gives real time status of all the pumps, energy generation, water levels and so on. And finally, there is a model of the Tunnel Boring Machine that is being used in Snowy 2.0 right now. One suggestion that I have for the shop would be to have something like a commemorative coin and/or brass tokens for tourists to bring home memories of their visit.

We visited this free to visit discovery centre on a weekday. It wasn't crowded and there were many interesting exhibits about power generation and the dam system in the Snowy Mountains. There is also a cafe and souvenir shop here.

Fantastic and informative place to learn about the original Snowy Scheme. So much information and history from the original snowy scheme. You can spend hours and hours looking and reading about the snowy hydro scheme, the workers and locations that had to work in. The staff working there are super nice and helpful answering all questions. Will definitely be back as I didn’t spend enough time there the first time. Well worth the visit especially if travelling into Cooma.

My father and I really enjoyed our time here. It's great that it's free and supported by the Australian government. The coffee and cake is great so we decided to have these in lieu of the admission fee. The IMAX theatre was really excellent. I'd like to see some other film choices there as well. Great facilities, tables and chairs to have coffee inside or outside and toilets and great displays.

Great stop over point between Canberra and Melbourne. The perfect centre to have a quick lunch and most importantly show kids about renewable energy and be amazed by how much the country had achieved in the 50s and 60s.

Great place to learn about one of our biggest engineering marvels. They have two talks one is a 1975 video and the other is a presentation with some fly overs and a more modern video. Cafe has great coffee. And a selection of warm food like sausage roll, pie, quiche and then sandwiches and other snacks. Great cakes.

For something thats free to enter it's a well kept museum of equipment used to milk cows, pasteurize and of course various cheese production plus an actual 1800's cheese hut/shed. Please do support the local craft store as most items are hand crafted in Began. The big bonus the cafe! Steak Pie was an 8/10 (fantastic crunchy flaky pastry, nice beef steak filling with good thick gravy which didn't destroy the pastry when U bite into it).

It was a nice drop by whenever one pass by Bega. We ordered the cheese platter, a mocha and something that looks like beef burger. The burger and mocha were really good. The cheese platter was great too, but unfortunately both of us struggle to finish it. It will be best to enjoy with 3-4 people. They also do have cheese tasting at one corner too.

Get you cheese fix with a whole lot of Aussie history. Some delicious cheese plus other non cheese snacks. The museum upstairs is worth the visit. There is also a gift shop upstairs with lots of local wares.

Potoroo Palace is such a beautiful, affordable outing for the whole family! You can really tell how much love and care goes into looking after the animals and their enclosures. Everything is so well kept, and the animals are clearly happy and healthy. It’s so refreshing to visit a place where profit isn’t the main focus. They truly love what they do, and it shows in every part of the experience. The little train ride for the kids was an absolute hit and made the day even more special. Such a wholesome, peaceful spot to explore and connect with nature. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a feel-good day out!

Potoro Palace – A Heartwarming Haven for Native Wildlife Potoro Palace is a truly special place — more than just a wildlife park, it’s a not-for-profit sanctuary where you can genuinely feel the love and care poured into protecting Australia’s native animals. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by open spaces where emus and kangaroos roamed freely. It was magical to walk among them, hand-feeding kangaroos and watching emus wander calmly nearby. There’s something so peaceful and grounding about being this close to animals in a space where they are clearly happy and well looked after. What makes Potoro Palace even more beautiful is its mission — your entry fee goes directly into the care and upkeep of the sanctuary and its residents. It’s not about commercial profit here; it’s about passion, education, and conservation. The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and clearly devoted to the animals’ wellbeing. This is the kind of experience that stays with you. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Potoro Palace is well worth the visit. It’s a place where you can connect with nature, support a great cause, and leave with a full heart.

There are visible signs of improvement at Potoroo Palace but there is still a way to go. The grounds and open spaces at PP are looking healthy and more cared for. The train which the little ones love is back in action. There are still vacant cages being "upgraded", which is disappointing. But those which are inhabited are looking much better. So in a nutshell The animals are healthy and well cared for and the grounds are a good place for a picnic. Suited to younger children.

It's a wonderful addition to the area. You can tell conservation is at the heart of Potoroo Palace. Definetly some more work to do but a very enjoyable stop with some wonderful animals.

The animals are friendly and tame, and the staff are nice and will explain stuff like how snakes shed their skin to you. I held a shingleback lizard, fed some emus, and patted a snake. It's relatively small, and you can see the animals up close. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely sanctuary! The native animals are well cared for and in beautiful surroundings. The encounter and echidna talk were very interactive and a great experience. Also make sure to visit the café and gift shop!

Great place for kids, has a bit of everything, for once over all the places we have been that says you can feed and interact with the kangaroos, this is the only one that we could do that. It is self funded and relies on volunteers for upkeep and donations for money to feed and house. All animals are rescued and unable to be re released. Place needs more TLC but is hard sure to no funding, so please visit and help the lovely owners to keep this place open, clean, medical, and feed. The animals are beautiful and deserve your money and donations and visits.

The road to the area is in need of maintenance. Lots of fallen branches across the road. The area itself is well maintained, with a boardwalk leading to a viewing platform over the falls. As a cultural area, the water is sacred, so you need to stay on the formed paths and admire the serenity of the area from a distance. Large car park, a few picnic tables, bbq, toilets and information display. Some stairs, yet all areas are accessible by wheelchair friendly pathways.

Short drive from Bega. Definitely recommend SUV or 4WD. Very short walk from the parking. Beautiful place to spend a day with family. Ample parking place, public toilets, sitting area, and BBq hot plates. As the place is of great cultural significance, the Aboriginal owners request no to swim in the falls. "As per sign posted"

Long dirt road from Dr George Mtn which was fairly bumpy. After seeing photos from previous reviews with people swimming in the beautiful waterfall, I was expecting to be able to at least get close, but the steps leading down were all blocked off and overgrown. There were signs saying no to swim out of respect to the aboriginal people. I was disappointed and confused. How does it show any disrespect if someone wants to swim in a natural waterfall? It isn't used for any sacred aboriginal ceremonies now, and appears to not be used by anyone for any reason at all . It is such a waste of an amazing piece of nature. But as a white person, I'm not allowed to even touch the water?

A short walk to a beautiful gorge and waterhole on the south coast, with Aboriginal significance. Due to changed road access, it is quite a long drive on unsealed roads to get here, but worth the drive for a very beautiful and well sign-posted waterhole and falls. Picnic and BBQ facilities available. Note - there is signage that states the local Yuin people request people don't swim here. A great way to take advantage of the natural splendour of Biamanga National Park is by stopping at Biamanga Cultural area during your road trip. You'll find a convenient boardwalk – perfect for walking with children – that leads to a scenic lookout where you can see water cascading through a dramatic gorge and granite boulder field. This is part of the legacy of an ancient shield volcano in the area, and the story of its Aboriginal heritage is conveyed through interpretive signs and an information shelter here. Don't forget your camera – the forest setting is beautiful, with eastern water dragons sunning themselves on rocks and chefs cap correa bursting with lemon and green colours. Birdwatching is superb as well – with azure kingfishers and blue wrens frequenting the area, it’s almost as though they're putting on a show for visitors. After your stroll, unpack a lunch at one of the picnic tables or fire up the free gas barbecues for a relaxing afternoon with family and friends beneath the eucalypts. This is a great picnic spot, shady and serene, surrounded by the calming sounds of the rushing creek. The Aboriginal custodians request that visitors, through respect, do not swim in the Mumbulla Falls area - a site that is sacred to the Yuin People.

If you have been beforehand and visit now you will be most disappointed. The falls are now closed to swimming, it's a heritage site now and the road is just awful due to lack of visitors. What was once a busy water pool and slide now seems rarely visited.

Didn’t know such a place existed that’s only 3 hours from Canberra. A small nice place for kids to have fun and adults too. Highly recommended to visit. Lines to rides were short and staff were extremely nice especially the lady at the Kiosk. Thanks for making it a fun day.

With two older kids and a lively two year-old in tow, we were thrilled to find something for everyone. From the moment we arrived, it was non-stop fun, laughter, and adventure. 🎢 While it was a bit of a letdown that the roller coaster was undergoing heavy maintenance, the sheer variety of attractions more than made up for it. In fact, there were more rides than I remembered from previous visits! The toboggans were a massive hit as we must’ve gone down at least 15 times, and each run was just as exciting as the last. We barely squeezed in the water slides because we were so caught up enjoying everything else! 💰 If you're wondering whether it's good value for money.. absolutely. Compared to a trip to the movies, which can easily set us back $150 for the whole family, Magic Mountain offered a full day of entertainment, thrills, and bonding for a similar price. It felt like a genuine investment in joy. 🍟 The staff were fantastic.. friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience. A special shoutout to the lovely lady who served us lunch with a smile and a generous sprinkle of chicken salt (a small touch that made a big impression!). And to the team at the Go Karts.. thank you for your patience and care with our kids, who couldn’t get enough of those rides - so many laughs here! 👥 One moment that really stood out was seeing one of the managers leading a team huddle at the end of the day. It was a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about the culture and commitment behind the scenes. It’s clear they’re working hard to make Magic Mountain the best it can be. 📝 I’m writing this longer review because I’ve seen some negative ones that just don’t reflect our experience. This place is a gem—fun-filled, family-friendly, and run by people who genuinely care. If you're considering a visit, don’t hesitate. Magic Mountain Merimbula is a fantastic spot to make lasting memories.

Staff are friendly and amazing. Was disappointed half the rides couldn’t open due to the rain or repairs. They would benefit from more things to do like a jumping castle Or soft play for the younger kids they really can’t do anything there everything is for 130cm and up! More games would be great everything felt a bit outdated. Bringing back the tree tops would be amazing even if it was artificial metal poles. The owner needs to spend more money and bring it up to date and add better attractions to justify the $65 entry fee especially for the little kiddies. The place has a pretty bad reputation around Merimbula and I can understand why people want something great and practical for everyone in the family we enjoyed our day but got bored pretty quick after only being able to use the dodgem cars and Grand Prix cars and 2 slides.

Magic Mountain is as exciting as doing your tax. This place has maybe 3 things to do, a water slide (about as big as one you'd find in a backyard pool), go karts (basically just lawnmowers with steering wheels) and a toboggan ride which feels like a death trap, lasts about 20 seconds before being hoisted back to the top which is a 5 minute journey. I went because on their website they have photos of a half decent looking roller-coaster, which upon arrival I was told was out of order that day. Out of order seems like a bit of an understatement though, as when I passed by where it was meant to be it was just a pile of steele beams and tracks. Only positive this place has is that the staff are quite nice. So for a $138 entry fee (for two adult day passes) id say you'd be better off staying at home, taking some magic mushrooms and watching a roller-coaster video on your TV, that'll cost you about $60.

Magic Mountain Merimbula was lovely. Quiet enough that there were barely any wait times, but busy enough that everything was open. The kiosk/ cafe is a bit pricey but kinda expected. You are free to bring your own food and drink into the park though so no pressure to pay past the entry fee. Kids had a blast, plenty to do, and plenty of places to stop and rest, too. Would like to see more bins around the park, though honestly!

We had a VERY lovely time at Magic Mountain! We really appreciate ALL the rides & activities available for kids of all ages! The staff were all absolutely amazing, patient & kind! Thank you for taking the time to chat with our Son(s) & making it such a wonderful experience before our journey home! 😊 Can't wait to get back to have some more fun when the boys are a bit bigger & can go on ALL of the rides! 🤩

Pretty disappointing don't trust the website. What a waste of time and money. Went there today so many attractions were shut down or faulty. This place needs some serious reinvestment. Putt putt was run down, dodgem cars that your not aloud to bump each other. Rollercoaster has been removed, maze was ok just covered in spiders. Go carts were slow, smokey and faulty. Just go to the beach you'll save money and have more fun.

The road in wasn't good after the rain, definitely go in dry weather or a 4wd. The old house is cool, but fenced off so you can only look from a distance. You can walk down to the water and it's a beautiful spot, but a bit eerie given its history.

Beautiful peaceful Bay now but wouldn't have been during the days of whaling. Short dirt road to parking and trail to beach. Gorgeous caretakers cottage to see there too, you can't go in but can wander around the outside of the gardens.

After reading so much about the operation and the people in Eden museum it was underwhelming when we got there. Some larger items around but not much more. Was expecting to see more like in the photos. The house is now lived in by a caretaker so all you can see us the exterior and read up on the Davidson family lifestyle. Would have been interesting times back then. Still worth a look.

Gorgeous flat, clear water at the beach below and the house itself was so interesting! Boardwalks lead you to the homes side gate, and a walk through the inside of the cottage reveals the life of three generations of the Davidson family. There are relics of their way of life inside, the traditional tools of the trade and whale bones laying casually around the place, (including used as garden edges! Haha). Make sure you bring a gold coin for donations and sign the guest book that's been going since 1991. It's a little tricky and steep getting from the beach access stairs onto the rocks but the whole place is absolutely worth a visit!

It's well worth the drive to reach this beautiful location. Buildings are all original, well preserved and it's interesting to read about their history. The walk down the beach and up to the cliffs provide some beautiful views. Once you've visited hear it's essential to visit the Killer Whale Museum to get the full history of Whaling in the area.

Love this place. It is my go to for birthdays and special meals with friends. Love it too just for a light treat or coffee while taking in the view. Hands down, the best view of anywhere in Merimbula 😍 I celebrated my birthday again her today and it was spectacular. The service was amazing and they made it a very special day for me and my guests. It always just feels good to dine here. And the view was the icing on the cake. Not to mention the cheesecake was amazing! I also love taking my son and visitors here for a treat and aquarium visit.

Highly recommend! I came here for my birthday tonight and I had such a special experience. The aquarium below was fun to check out and the seafood was top tier. We will definitely return next time we’re in town.

Took my son to the aquarium and he had a great time! The local sea life is just amazing. Some pretty cool creatures to see. We just happened to be there at feeding time (11:30am) which made the sea life even more active! Ian, the guide, had the kids enthralled and was quite funny!

Good selection of gluten free items including batter for fish, friendly service, aquarium is pricey and not as big as you get in the bigger tourist destination but fun for kids, but understandable its not cheap to operate

It is a beautiful view to sit down to while enjoying lovely food. We had a delicious brunch. Eggs your way with bacon and ciabatta was delicious. One order was for scrambled egg, and one was for fried. They both were cooked to our liking. The gin cured salmon with eggs and ciabatta was fantastic!! Kids loved their hot chocolate, and coffee and milkshake went down well, too. The scones were so good, freshly baked, the decadent chocolate cake was lovely, and the carrot cake was beautiful and moist. The prices were good too!! Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place and will be back.

Service and atmosphere are fine, but the food is certainly not worth the price point. Paid $95 for a ‘seafood platter for one’ that was mostly deep fried and came with a side of chips that wasn’t listed on the menu and I didn’t want anyway. The calamari was also covered in cinnamon for some reason. Completely disappointing experience, especially since there seems to be so much hype about this place.

Such an incredibly beautiful spot to stop and take in the view of the beach. Plenty of grass to sit and enjoy a picnic. An absolute must-see if your in the area!

A lovely beach, depending on the weather and tide it is generally more of a surf beach but there is a lagoon and outlet that will be suitable for calmer swimming if the surf is a bit much. Regardless go there just for the views

Car park with a view!! You can also take the stairs to the beach or take the path on the right and get some amazing ocean views. A must do when visiting Merimbula :)

Worth a stop if in the area. Beautiful white sand surf beach one side and Black Lagoon the other. It was a wild and windy day when we stopped. Surfers were out and the sky in the distance was dramatic with stormy clouds and a bit of sun peepiing out which made for some good photos. Nice big car park too. Well worth a visit.

easy hike light to light (if you are used to hiking you certainly could do it all in a very intense day, or on less intense rythm 1.5 days). beautiful cliffs views

It is a great place to visit, we had a great time there. All places there are so beautiful, unfortunately we didn't see any whales there, it is still worth for a trip. We enjoyed hiking, sightseeing. The road to getting there quite rough, a lot of flies, be prepared.

One of my favourite National Parks in NSW. Light to Light is a stunning walk. Careful of the wildlife!

Pinnacles loop walking track in Ben Boyd National Park Visited on 13/3/2021 It was a beautiful sunny day. It was not very hot, just right for me who prefer cooler temperature. The track is 1.1 km which meanders through the woodland. The walk was pleasant and easy. The highlight was the Pinnacles, which could be viewed from two lookout points. It is fascinating as well as spectacular. The Pinnacles consist of cliffs of soft white sands capped with a layer of red gravel clay. They were formed during the Tertiary geological period – up to 65 million years ago.

Haycock point is a great place to scabble over rocks and look in rock pools , there were kangaroos in picnic area. Wear shoes , the slope down once you get to the bottom of the stairs is steep but looks worse than it is! Barmouth beach is a gorgeous cove , beautiful clear, calm water , amazing for a swim , stairs down to beach . Walk to pinnacles is lovely through the bush , either head down to beach ( quite a few stairs ) or track to view pinnacles , easy walk .

North Ben Boyd National Park has great beaches, interesting rock formations and some colorful eroded cliffs in a gully called "The Pinnacles". Haycock Point is beautiful spot with a couple of rock stacks off the headland and lots of bird life. There are always lots of kangaroos on the track out to the headland and they are often resting on the beach as well, sometimes even down near the surf, although they will usually head back into the trees when you go onto the beach. Severs Beach is back up from the mouth of the river. It is a very pretty spot and there is also an aboriginal midden there.

Camped here in the National Park campground. Beach to myself for 24 hours. Beautiful sunrise, fun boogey board, peace and tranquillity. My only neighbours were the wallabies and other wildlife. Amazing.

National parks have a no dog rule to protect the wildlife, there were cute swamp wallabies feeding all around the campsite. No playground, lots of beaches to explore, drop toilets that were clean with toilet paper. Always a bonus. The peace and quiet, large campsites. I really enjoyed it.

A beautiful isolated coastal headland. Some beautiful sandy beaches and vivid rock formations. Careful of ticks when wandering through the forests. Rocky single lane road in and out with the occasional wallaby spotted.

Beautiful 'right on the beach' camping ground. Toilets are basic, but kept clean. Lots of kangaroos, Well grassed site, plenty of room. Great value.

Located not far from Bega on the far south coast of NSW, Mimosa Rocks National Park offers a hide and paradisiac camping holiday. The park takes its name from the Paddle Steamer Mimosa that wrecked in 1863 after running onto rocks at the northern end of the park. The rocks of Mimosa have distinctive castle-like features that are the result of intricate folds, faults and intrusions occurring in the rock. For a view you’ll never forget, head to Bunga Head for sunrise, the rocks look magnificent backed by the pinks of the early morning sky.

Depending on what part of the park there are various and each as beautiful as each other. Cheap camping 1st in best dress, BBQ has and wood pits bring your own wood against part rules to use any time growing or fallen. The beaches are to die for pristen clean.

Lyn and Rob, thank you again for a perfect stay! Breakfast was exquisite both in taste and presentation, and the rooms were so clean and comfortable. It was very much appreciated that you kindly accommodated for our fur baby Fifi(nearly 3) and tailored to the needs of my elderly mum (92) and aunt(85). We will definitely come and stay again- hopefully next Spring so we can enjoy the garden in all its glory!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxglove & Co. We were placed in a beautifully renovated, cosy cottage with French Provincial decor that was stunning. The highlight our stay, was breakfast in the gorgeous gardens. We were amazed at how good the gardens are, particularly after the drought and fires. After reading the reviews we thought some people must have been talking about a different garden other than Foxglove. We were very impressed. The owners, Lyn and Robert have been managing, creating and expanding the gardens over the last 9 years and we loved the romantic character they have maintained while adding a completely new dimension. We will definitely be back in spring.

The gardens are gorgeous, morning tea was amazing and the service was great. I brought a group of seniors and more than a few wanted to return for the Tiramasu alone! We were treated to a history of the garden renovations and some country hospitality. Do not be put off by talk of renovations; the ground is level, the gardens are enchanting and we had a no trouble navigating the grounds with a group of less mobile people. Thank you for having us Lyn, we hope to visit again soon!

This is only for the garden as I haven't stayed there. The 1-star reviews are unfair. Rob and Lyn are friendly and easy to talk to. The place is a labour of love for them and obviously the garden and the cottages are going to be in a constant pace of change; despite being only two of them they have wonderfully transformed the place since they bought it 7 years ago. The garden is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place, ideal for letting out your creative energy. Recommended for artists and writers!

While I can't speak for the accommodation as yet ( I will be returning to stay here), I can say that my experience here was amazing. I came to visit not knowing about the place, and stopped in on a whim driving through Tilba Tilba. I parked in the easy to find on site parking and wondered into the gardens, past the sign which clearly states entry to the gardens carries a modest fee of $9. I looked for the owners who must have been busy at the time (I visited very shortly after the NYE 2019 firestorm which created a big mess for them to clean up), but upon sighting them when I'd started walking through, they were very kind, accommodating and welcoming to me. I was encouraged to take my time wondering through the gardens and that I could pay my contribution on the way out. I spent at least half an hour enjoying the atmosphere and beautiful gardens - $9 was a BARGAIN! On the way out I didn't have any cash - which was no problem as I was able to pay through Square with my card - no worries at all. I was shocked after reading some of the reviews in recent times about how the gardens aren't at "their old standards" - I have to say, as someone who didn't know what those standards were, and a lover of gardens and nature, I ADORED this place! Don't listen to the negativity, visit here and decide for yourself. I can't wait to bring my husband back and experience the accommodation and spend more time in the beautiful gardens.

Beautiful spring blossoms and roses surround the pretty lake, not to mention the cute new duckilngs. Lyn and Robert are doing a lovely job in restoration and are also great hosts. Lyn cooks a delicious breakfast, not to be missed! The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and delightfully themed. Booking, welcome and care were excellent! Excellent place. We stopped over for a break on our way to Kiama. We received warm welcome from the owners, who are chefs. They were generous enough to allow us to visit their garden. They showed around their beautiful garden and house and answered all our questions about the place very patiently. They accepted our offer to share our food and were curious to know how we prepared it. Definitely will stay at their holiday accommodation next time I visit the place.

Visiting Central Tilba felt like stepping into a beautifully preserved piece of Australia’s past. Gorgeous heritage village filled with superbly maintained historic buildings, tray treats and lots of shops to brows through. We had a lovely coffee at the tilba teapot Cafe and baught some cheese and milk from the dairy to take home. Stunning views of the surrounding farmlands.

Such a cute little town loved it. The drive in is beautiful itself. The shops are full of goodies i wish I needed. Very tempting and beautiful items and lovely people. Caravan parking is tight though.

A quaint little historical village in the hills with beautiful valley views. All sorts of bric-a-brac, Devonshire tea Cafes, a lovely old Pub, Cheese Factory, old lolly shop plus plenty of country gift shops. We went for a casual stroll down the street and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great for photography too. If in the area, do drive down the road to the Tilba Winery and Ale House. Another great place to visit.

Pretty place. Second visit. Nice old buildings. Beautiful countryside and mountain scenery. Great little stores to browse. Tearooms, bakery, gifts, clothes, cheese, lollies, icecream, B & B,etc. Parking at each end of town. Playground in the middle near the hall for kids.

This place is just amazing, 2 minutes off the highway you'll find this absolute gem of a place. Small enough that you can just stop in for quick look, and a bite to eat at the bakery, cafe's or cheese factory, but memories that will last a lifetime.

Great selection of cheese! They also sell cooler bags if you want to take some dairy items to go and don't have a cool method to transport it. They have pre-made charcuterie boxes or you can build your own to take! Lots of other spreads to grab as well, such as jelly's and hot sauces.

Tilba is a really nice cute small town to visit. We dropped by at their famous Dairy centre. They have a corner of cheese tasting. Their banana milkshake was good. We bought one of the chocolate that they retail, it was good. We regretted not to get more! Now we are back to Sydney, will like to try their Jersey brand.

Beautiful countryside town, cute little shops with locally made jewellery, clothes, woodwork and all sorts. Highly recommend for a visit, the cheese factory is a must visit and dairy shop is right next door...heavenly!!! 😍

Vast array of dairy (cheese+, milk, cream) and other food products (relish, olives, chilli, oils and vinegars etc) as well as Tilba souvenirs. You can taste test some cheese before buying. Look out for the ice-cream near the front door, too! Prices reflect the boutique nature but you know it's all going to taste good.

A lovely dairy with a shop attached. The dairy specialises in milk and cheese. There is a small shop attached which sells the local milk and cheese, along with some other non dairy products, which I assume are locally sourced. The milk is unhomogenised and very creamy. They also make milkshakes and coffees on site. The vanilla milkshake was amazing and I would recommend it. They also sell ice-cream but I believe it's sourced from elsewhere because they do not produce ice-cream on site.

Great little shop. Plenty of different cheese to choose from as well as some other dairy products, plus some other local products such as honey. Cheese tasting is available at the front counter. Friendly staff. Great place to come and check out.

Very grateful to have stumbled across this gorgeous and sacred aboriginal site for the Yuin people. Got to appreciate the stunning beach and beautiful rocks / shells / waters and everything here. Feeling more cultured and grounded after visiting here and appreciating the significance of this scenic area.

The walk from Camel Rock along the coast to Wallaga Lake is one of the most spectacular walks on the South Coast. With one spectacular lookout after another, tree canopy sections, views of Gulaga, interpretive signage and wildlife this walk is an absolute must while in the region.

Stunning, both for its rugged beauty but also for the creativity and engineering of our early citizens. I could almost imagine the well-dressed ladies and gentlemen of the old times watching the swimming races on a sunny afternoon. We also were lucky enough to see a group of fur seals hunting in the surf of the Cove next to the blue pool. There are steep steps to get down to the pools which made it some what odd to see two wheel chair ramps all the way down at the bottom of the stairs. Not sure what the thug prices read behind building them but hey whatever. Well worth a look for sure.

A must see beauty when at Bermagui. Watch the seals, the waves, swim in the pool protected from waves. Parking is available even if you may need to wait a few moments for a car to leave.

Best rock pool ive ever been, water is clean and cool nice for a sunny day

Best rock pool with a scenic view to die for. Simply Breathtaking. Just sitting in the waistdeep crystal clear blue water, you can see all the Seal action on the rock formations around the pool in their natural habitat. For all ages. Easy access and well maintained.

Nice drive. Good shower and toilet facilities. Very clean. However, the water is quite stagnant, so there's plenty of plants growing on the rocky floors of the pool. You may spot seals in the nearby rocks. No beach to swim.

Wonderful experience, it's a must try. It's an amazing rock pool, on the edge of the cliff next to Ocean. The experience of the pool next to an ocean was really good. I have never been to a place like this before, so i was extremely happy. Once you reach the parking, there are stairs to go down to the pool. The pool is pretty big, and the depth is quite good. There are so many small crabs, snails, and mussels nearby of the pool rocks.There's a nice washroom 🚻 facility available with a shower hose.
