Brilliant. Lovely bush farm setting. Very spacious sites so it feels like you have the place to yourself, looking out over paddocks and bush. Great amenities, very clean, heaps of hot water. Fantastic for kids. Our kids especially enjoyed the hay bale maze and farm tour. The hosts ate fantastic. Friendly and helpful and clearly love what they do. Highly recommended!
Michael H — Google review
Fantastic accommodation for families. Lovely hosts and facilities. Highly recommended staying here which had all the amenities. Highlight was having the wide open space for the children to safely roam and explore the animals. I don't know why we hadn't considered farm stays earlier. We used this as our getaway and to break up the Adelaide-Melbourne route.
Tray R — Google review
Where do we start!?! Our stay was truly AMAZING. The best place we have ever stayed with our children. Pricing was good, staff were fantastic and the facilities were fabulous. We could sit back relax and let the kids run free, all lawns, grass was cared for and well looked after. Kids were never bored with all the free activities. We are already planning our next trip back to stay. Highly recommended to families.
Phil R — Google review
Could it get any better? We got in late and our hosts went out of their way to settle us in. The kids went wild checking out all the amazing facilities. ..a maze, camels and emus, a playground. Just fabulous!!
Sei K — Google review
We have just had the best weekend with friends at Cockatoo downs at Keith .I would highly recommend taking your family and friends for a great farm stay .The children got to feed the farm animal's while riding the farm bus .Every thing you need from a great fire pit to endless kids active . It's a must .
Tundra M — Google review
So many things for kids to do... Maze, farm tour, animals, sand pit, playground and lots lots space. The owners are warm and friendly. Great stay.
ADRIAN L — Google review
Awesome proper farm run by very friendly nice folks who are very helpful and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. There’s heaps for kids to do and see. We love the fire and all the animals.
Minh M — Google review
Very different place to stay. A lot better than a caravan park, wide open spaces with shade if needed. Will definitely be back

Beautiful silo art in this rural SA town. Amble parking and possible to get great pictures from many angles. The bakery down the street serves good coffee and pies, and there's public toilets too. Get here early on weekends before the caravans pulls up. It tends to get a little crowded.
Frank A — Google review
Why not take a moment to admire this beautiful art? A perfect quick stopover with a bathroom available and a local shop just across the road. A great spot to stretch your legs, take in the creativity, and enjoy a brief break before continuing your journey. Definitely worth the stop!
Dak M — Google review
Another Silo Art an my Australian tour and another take on how to do it. The artwork is superb, I still can’t figure it out even though I know technically how it’s done. To see these finished pieces of massive artwork is a pleasure. Not only tall but on a curved surface, great to see! Lots of people had stopped to take photos, a lot went to the bakery too!
Paul S — Google review
This is my first time seeing a silo mural and it was amazing. Great detail must have been taken to complete it as it is huge. Has a small park and Public toilets nearby.
Jason P — Google review
Absolutely beautiful. Made me think about my own grown children. There was a tree blocking a little bit but we just went around it.
Julie P — Google review
Beautifully painted silo. Also the tiles artworks close by are awesome. Some very talented people in town.
Kerry O — Google review
Lovely artwork. Toilet block close by. A very cute 🧇 Waffle cafe a very short walk on the opposite side of the road.

Meningie Museum Inc.

Museum
Specialty Museums
Well worth a visit. Only $5 (cash) upon entry. Very well maintained and curated. Clean and presented beautifully. Even the 'old bone yard' was clean and well presented. Not covered in dust and spiderwebs, which can be all too often expected in museums of this type. A fabulous collection of pieces that will have everyone over the age of 30 nostalgic for their past. :)
Sharon M — Google review
Fantastic and varied collection A real credit to the organisers Immerse for an hour or more in nostalgia and recollection A must do attraction
Steve M — Google review
This is one of the few cafes in Meningie and it's run by a young couple. Apparently this was a museum and then converted into a cafe. We received great customer service and We loved the rustic interior and exterior. This could be a great venue for a birthday/anniversary party or for an intimate little wedding. If you are planning to host an event (based on the numbers) they'd waive off the venue fee. We stopped here for coffee and the beverages ( including beers and ciders) were really great but the scones were average. Overall great place!
Rush R — Google review
Friendly, chatty and informative staff. Quiet location for a great coffee and views over the lake. Scones were delish' and coffee was spot on. Clean and neat. Plenty of room for the kids to run around in the vacant lot lakeside and stretch their legs.
Daryl H — Google review
Great food, perfect spot for coffee or a wine and cheese platter in the garden with sea views, plenty of toys and a sandpit to keep kids occupied.
Toddy M — Google review
Good Museum....Worth the 5 bucks entry
Michael H — Google review
I thought this was going to be a boring cheese museum BUT its really a history museum with cool stuff.
Jamie P — Google review
Great country hospitality with food to rival anything in the city. The prices are fantastic and the wine from Langhorne Creek, well what can you say, just great wine. The Coorong Mullet was perfect, generous and the price was a bargain. Just across from the entrance of Lake Albert caravan park rounds out a travel day in the best possible way

Pink Lake

Nature & Parks
Bodies of Water
A truly unique natural wonder! Pink Lake is such a beautiful and fascinating stop. The soft pink hue of the water against the white salt edges looks magical, especially on a sunny day. It’s right off the highway with a convenient lookout and parking, so it’s easy to visit even on a road trip. You can walk down close to the lake for amazing photos. The colour can change depending on the weather and season, but it’s still a stunning sight and worth a visit. A peaceful and memorable spot in Victoria!
Rupal P — Google review
Nothing pink to be see. We were on our way from Robe to Adelaide, so we did not deliberately drive there. We would have been disappointed. The lake was completely dried up 3 days before Christmas. But the otherworldly landscape was still worth the stop.
Andreas L — Google review
The Pink Lake is tricky to attempt to get a true to colour image of on a phone camera methinks. My attempts were a fail. I found this place 'along the way' a simple yet interesting one. Being the Winter the pink was not as pronounced as other seasons but there was definitely a glimpse of pink to ponder. Im an artist so a bit of artistic licence will be brought out of my kit as I create 'my version' of how I actually saw it and how I envisioned Pink Lake in other seasons!🩷🧞‍♀️
Valerie — Google review
I visited Pink Lake in Meningie during the holidays, but the water had dried up, so the lake wasn’t pink as shown in the pictures. Even so, the trip was still worth it. The view along the road was amazing – wide open spaces that made me feel small under the big sky. Both sides of the road were full of different plants, with changing colors and shapes. It made the drive interesting and enjoyable, turning the whole journey into a special experience. If you’re nearby, I’d recommend visiting. The lake might not always be pink, but the scenery and peaceful atmosphere make it worth the trip.
Dai T — Google review
came in september 2025 on a cloudy day, no pink lake! ground is solid enough to walk safely without any issues at all but be prepared to clean your shoes after. not worth the mud actually.
Nadya M — Google review
Due to the drought it was dried up. The mud was very slippery so couldnt walk too far. Only a very faint pink tinge in the distance
Emily B — Google review
Visited in late October and It does look pink.. but couldn't find a way to get a closer look as the area didn't seem to have any trail to go have a closer look. Or maybe have a look around you can find one. It's right beside the highway!
Vardhmansinh C — Google review
Well, that was random pink lake. It's pink when the sun hits the water.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Courthouse for my 40th Birthday celebrations and we weren’t disappointed. Perfect for entertaining a large group of people with well configured bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and a fantastic undercover court yard. The owners were also attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and well catered for.

Once again fantastic stay. Accomodation very spacious, comfortable with all mod cons. Good facilities. Right on the banks of Murray River.
Tim R — Google review
Fantastic stay at a beautiful and well equipped venue. Perfect for a big group with easy access to the river.
James H — Google review
Stayed for the weekend with family and friends. Fantastic place. Amazing layout. This will be a yearly booking. Cannot fault it
Jade O — Google review
A big part of Wellingtons history and worth a look around even though the museum side of things is currently being upgraded. Situated on the banks of the Murray river net to the ferry there is a cafe and you can get a Barister type coffee and something to eat. Comfortable and relaxed seating around a small fire pit... Very nice They also offer accommodation and dining in house and will do Christmas parties, weddings etc. The guide on duty when I visited was very welcoming and had plenty of historical information about this site.
Craig P — Google review
On Coach Tour with 56 'seniors' - a cold, windy November day, surprised to have the Dining Room heated by a roaring wood fire, and enjoyed a magnificent Roast Dinner with 'the works' - two superbly cooked meats, with seven vegetables, delicious gravy and a range of condiments & sauces - rated by many on board as "the best Roast ever!" Friendly and efficient staff, with everyone served and 'on our way' in 90 minutes, after time to explore the riverfront and excellent historic Courthouse restoration. Well done, Heather, Allan and chef Dave!!!
Trevor B — Google review
Great little Cafe and bar. Built in the old Court house. Still got all of the old court. In a side room. Lovely friendly couple running it, we happen to get there for happy hour free nibbles and a tour from one of the locals. Terrific

Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village

Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Thoroughly enjoyed this stop as it was a great historic place were you can walk around and see over 100 buildings from Australia’s pioneering past. Incredible to see how well everything has been preserved and that you can walk through so many of the buildings. We spent nearly a couple hours but you could definitely spend more as there is so much to see. Highly recommend!
Renee D — Google review
Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village is an incredible step back in time! The attention to detail in the historical buildings and exhibits is amazing—each one tells a story of life in Australia from the 1800s to the mid-1900s. It's a self-guided tour, which gave us the freedom to explore at our own pace. The kids loved the old schoolhouse and vintage vehicles, and we found the whole experience both educational and fascinating. Definitely worth the visit if you're into history or looking for a unique day out. Just remember to bring cash and your own snacks, as facilities are a bit limited. Highly recommend!
Anish S — Google review
My visit to Old Tailem Town took 2.5 hours to complete, and I didn't dilly dally in the machinery sheds! Imagine! Try 3.5 hours if I had. The presentation of this wonderful walk back in time lacks no detail. The atmosphere as I walked around the precinct pulled me back into my own "early days" of the 1950's, and gave me pause to ponder how fortunate my parents were that their predecessors boarded a ship in 1822 to leave Prussia to proceed to align themselves into such a harsh yet beautiful "new world". Both my parents were born in South Australia, 1909 and 1917. The old Tailem Town experience brings to life so many aspects of "life as it was" that I can't write it all here. I will be definitely be encouraging people I meet as I travel to visit this amazing place. The Squire's family have done, and continue to do, a top job of presenting an accurate and full bodied look into an important part of Australia's historical living conditions and life styles. The strong hot cuppa T made "the modern way with a tea bag"😆 was very much needed and appreciated after my long amble through the old town. The homemade Choc chip and Anzac biccies went down well too! Thank you for continuing to ensure this wonderful place continues to exist.
Valerie — Google review
Expected a few buildings but wow! Was completely amazed at how massive this place is with so many buildings all jam packed with items. They said it took 45 years to get it all in one spot and I'm not surprised! Definitely bigger and better than Flagstaff Hill or Soverign Hill was cheap entry and could easily have spent the whole day there and still not seen it all.
Peta A — Google review
This place was great. I've always driven past and not visited. As a family, we spent 3hrs here, but easily could have spent 5hrs + here. Kids (7,9,11) and adults all enjoyed it thoroughly.
Alex K — Google review
Great place for anyone interested in learning about the history of South Australia and how people lived here in the past. Fully furnished and detailed buildings with lots to see, lots of effort has been put into maintaining the place and preserving the history. Would definitely recommend a visit, no better way to learn about the past than to walk through it!
Nakulaman — Google review
Fun and engaging experience for our family (2 adults + 3 kids under 12 years old). Lots of unique buildings to explore, very well done.
Michael W — Google review
The pioneer village is an experience for young and old . There's so much to see and experience . And so many memory nudgers . From Bex powders to actavite , granma's best China to grandpa's old parts in his tinker shed. A must see for all ages .

The most beautiful lunch at Lake Breeze today. The food was the best we have tasted ever, beautiful paired wines with a view over the vines to die for. Amazing beautiful special day. A huge thank you to Annabel, Michael and Jordy who hosted us at dining room and cellar door. You absolutely made our experience tops. Well done. Employees of the month for sure. Fabulous. Totally recommend and will definitely be back - soon

Exceptional venue. Elegant country atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and impeccable food and service. This was a special occasion, being my friend's birthday celebration & it did not disappoint. The three of us dined in for lunch on a chilly winter Sunday, but the warm fire & friendliness of staff had us feeling toasty warm and amongst friends. We were so impressed & delighted by the Chefs Degustation selection. It was faultless in presentation and deliciousness 😋 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will be back!
Carol B — Google review
What an ambience, beautifully set in a lovely vineyard. Staff were extre accommodating and made our experience ask the better. The food was beautiful as to the wine and for me specially the tawny. If you go you must try the affogato, the home made icecream sets it to another level.
Tracy R — Google review
I took my partner for a early birthday surprise lunch. We had such a lovely experience at Lake Breeze Wines! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious, and the wines were fantastic. Such a tranquil spot with beautiful surroundings — we even had a lovely chat about the history of the vines, which made the visit feel extra special. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we honestly can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!l

We celebrated our 48th Wedding Anniversary at Lake Breeze Winery. We had the Chefs feed me menu and thoroughly enjoyed every course. We chose to have the wine pairing as well, which I would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed 😋❤️ Compliments to the Chef 👌 Thankyou for another wonderful experience Lake Breeze team 😀

We had a really pleasant wine tasting here and a light lunch. Beautiful location. Thankyou David for making us feel so welcome. Excellent wines 🍷 aswell.
Gavin ( — Google review
We fell in love with Lake Breeze as our wedding venue the moment we arrived and that was just reinforced by the incredible, welcoming service we were provided by Ash, Georgia & the team. Not only are the gardens immaculate, but the purpose built function room was the perfect setting for the meal time and following party we dreamed of. Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Every time we visited the venue for any reason, we were consistently greeted with genuine warmth no matter who it was in the team. The events team truly know what they're doing, meticulously planning tasting nights to help select our menu, and no idea was off limits when it came to styling for our unique day. The most important thing for us was that our guests had a great time and thanks to Lake Breeze, this was a given. Overall we are thrilled with Lake Breeze as a reception venue and we couldn't recommend them highly enough!
Sarah D — Google review
We would like to thank the staff for making our family celebration so special yesterday at this great venue. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner cruise or a relaxed Sunday lunch, the friendly and attentive staff ensure an enjoyable experience.
I recently had the pleasure of taking a cruise on the Captain Proud Paddle Boat along the Murray River, and it was a wonderful experience! The boat itself has a unique charm with its vintage paddle wheel design, capturing the essence of the river’s rich history. The scenic views were breathtaking, showcasing lush landscapes and wildlife along the riverbanks. The crew was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering insights into the history of the area, which made the journey even more engaging. The onboard meal was delicious, featuring fresh, local ingredients that highlighted the region’s flavors. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing day on the water, whether you’re looking to unwind or learn more about the Murray River. I highly recommend the Captain Proud Paddle Boat cruise to anyone visiting the area. It’s an experience that combines history, nature, and relaxation in the best way possible!
Riaz H — Google review
This cruise is fantastic value for money, especially if you’re using their special offers/cheap Tuesday deal. Lunch was good and the menu was surprisingly big considering the kitchen must be rather small. Servings were generous. Enjoyed a lovely, peaceful 3-hour cruise up and down the Murray river seeing the scenery and all kinds of birds. I’ve never seen so many pelicans! The boat seemed to be at less than half capacity on a sunny Sunday in June, so you might get lucky with lots of space to spread out in winter!
Laura — Google review
Captain did a great job. Boat itself is very tired..would be great after a reno...bathrooms unacceptable. It chuffed along the river without any problems. Meal served, (2 courses) quite surprising considering it was prepared on board in galley kitchen. Bar served drinks, including coffee or tea if you wanted it...but was not included. All in all a good experience and one we should support. Quiet day meant boat could go down stream, which is apparently more interesting.
Pauline O — Google review
The Mother’s Day cruise was an excellent way to spend time with family; the specialty 3 course menu was filling and delicious, the local artists looked after us with all the biggest hits across a variety of different genres and the dazzling lights amongst the sunset made for a beautiful scenery. The crew have outdone themselves x
Tegan — Google review
We had a great trip up and down the river. Lunch was excellent and the information provided along the way was informative. Recommended for anyone wanting to experience a paddle boat in close proximity to Adelaide.
Andrew J — Google review
Captain Josh and his staff were brilliant. Josh had fair bit of good knowledge of river. Scones and drinks were delicious
Elaine B — Google review
Went on Burlesque cruise, entertainment was very good table companions were great but the food was substandard. Main course choice of lamb shanks or vegeterian salad I was told no choice left you had to have salad. The "salad" was horrible spinache leaves with boiled carrots and pumpkin asparagas houllumi no dressing. So bad I could not eat it. $130 person be ware. Why dont Cpt Proud request preselection of food when booking to avoid disappointment. Won't be back.

Wine tastings, share plates and pizza in a restored 1866 barn with stone walls and a mezzanine.
Simply stunning winery and cellar door you could swear you were in Tuscany. Beautiful wood fired GF pizza and bre and jam standard base pizza. The wines were delicious and for us the Selkirk Shiraz was the take home winner. Great team very knowledgeable and warm! Kevin

Food, wine and staff were amazing. The warmth you feel upon arrival is next level & the service is second to none. The facilities are at the highest standard and such a beautiful setting. Thank you for kicking off our girls trip on such a high 💗
Cassie H — Google review
Visiting Bremerton is a fabulous way to spend an afternoon. We started our time there with a tasting. Rach was a brilliant host and made the tasting interesting and fun. Honestly, I could have bought a bottle of every wine I tasted. They were all amazing. After the tasting we moved into the dining area for lunch. The outdoor area looks incredible and it would be a brilliant place to spend a warm afternoon. Unfortunately the weather was against us, so we opted to eat inside. The atmosphere in the dining area is wonderful and the art on the walls provides an interesting backdrop. Our food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit to Bremerton and I will definitely be going back.
Birdie 7 — Google review
Visited Bremerton in search of a good local wine and definitely found it here! To our surprise they offer a complimentary wine-tasting in which you can choose 6 wines from the menu to try. During that Brad was super helpful and told us so many facts & information about the different wines we tasted. Very friendly atmosphere 💯 Maybe try to avoid the peak hours for a bit more personalized experience 💪🏼 (as it seemed like getting quite busy when we left) Very recommendable, especially if you don't have much experience with wines! 🍷
Johannes — Google review
There were Dozens of wines are available for tastings at no charge and then we went and had lunch which was amazing value we ordered a pizza 9 inch with two glasses of wine for $38. We then left after purchasing three wines to take home fantastic customer service explanation of the wines What an under bay appreciated wine region and superb Bremerton wines. Also Our pizza order was forgotten but they came back and looked after us with complimentary wines. We were so impressed by their professionalism and looking after us. The pizza was basic but not gourmet with what tasted dnd looked like a commercially made pizza base. But once again it was great value.. but we do highly recommend this place.

Beautifully restored stable with many artisan arts and crafts on display. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great food and wine/gin - along with a relaxed pace made for a most excellent lunch.

We were lucky to get a table without making a reservation this time round. 2nd time here with the first time doing the Gin Flight... one of the better distilleries in the region. This time we gone through the wine tasting. Jayden was an absolute gem with extensive knowledge on the winelist who provided us lots of details and insights... Had the Mediterranean platter with Mediterranean pizza and Mushroom pizza. Love the overall experience and glad that we lived 40 minutes away...

Wine tasting was very generous and pizzas were so so delicious, honestly one of the best lamb yiros pizza I have had ever. We shopped the wine range at the bar afterwards and the prices were reasonable. Overall a fantastic experience and will highly recommend it.

Visited this venue today. It has a large enclosed outdoor eating area with heating and lots of tables and chairs. We didnt taste any wines today, but we enjoyed a hot drink and some desserts which were absolutely delicious while looking out over the vineyard. The staff were friendly even during busy times. There is plenty of free onsite parking available. Im glad we stopped and visited here today.

The Winery Cellar Door 317 Angas Plains Rd, situated in the Langhorne Creek wine area, is a must visit. The winery has won some prodigious awards, Cellar Door with Best Foods, Australia’s Best Cellar Door, Cellar Door with Best Food Langhorne Creek. We were seated in an undercover purpose built alfresco, this is a very large area with great views over the vinyard and Plains. We enjoyed from a very good menu, two large homebaked steak pies, with salad and fries. Our choice of wines from the wine list was a sparkling chardonnary, mixed Sauvignon Blanc, and a very soft pleasant tasting smooth 2009 Emily Cross Shiraz. We found the service excellent and informative. Totally a very relaxing Australia Day experience. Accomodation is available on request. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and helpful service. The menu had a good range of items and quite a few pizzas. The greek lamb pizza was really good, nice and soft so it was easy to cut with lovely tasting ingredients. The pie of the day was delicious with a lovely gourmet sauce. Quite a lot of tables but pretty popular being the weekend so it would be best to book, particularly for a larger group. The toilet facilities were very good with a couple indoors and another one outside. Plenty of parking. Good signage for the winery thankfully as it would be a bit tricky without that. Google gives the correct directions though.

Monarto Safari Park

Wildlife and safari park
Zoos & Aquariums
Zoo
Open-range zoo featuring animals like cheetahs, lions, giraffes & rhinos, with hands-on experiences.
Loved it! A great experience for young and old alike, lots of choices depending on your level of fitness from either walking the entire 15 odd kilometres of walking trails to just sitting on the 1.5hour tour buses that continually traverse the park, or you can get off at viewing platforms of your choice to see things at your own pace. Definitely going pay extra to see the lion feeding at dusk tour next time around! The visitors center is awesome too with lots to see.
Daniel M — Google review
I recently visited Monarto Safari Park with my family, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The park is extremely well organised, clean, and visitor friendly. A big plus is the frequent bus service that goes around the park (every 10 minutes), which makes getting between enclosures very easy and relaxing especially with kids. The buses let you hop on and off, so you can take your time at each stop without feeling rushed. During our visit we saw a fantastic variety of animals: lions, giraffes, rhinos, cheetahs, chimpanzees, elephants and many others. The open-range habitats are stunning; many of the animals have large, naturalistic spaces to roam, which adds so much to the authenticity and joy of the safari feeling. We also appreciated the viewing platforms and well-designed stops where you can get closer looks without disturbing the animals. The staff are outstanding friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic. They gladly answered questions, explained things about the animals and conservation efforts, which made the day both fun and educational. For families, this place is ideal: there are paths, walks, and plenty of opportunities for children to learn and enjoy. All in all, Monarto Safari Park is very well organised, offers great value, and delivers memorable moments. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a full day outing whether with kids, friends or just by yourself. It’s definitely one of the best wildlife experiences in South Australia. 🇦🇺 💙

Went in on my yearly zoo pass and took some amazing photos. Spent the entire day there and the staff are very helpful one girl who drives the buses is very knowledgeable and let's you feel the personal story of the animals, the kids loved her. I believe her name was Lindsay, say hi to her and commend her great work. The volunteers are very supportive to this amazing park. There's a hotel on site and your able to stay and try the packages to get up and close with the Cat's and other animals. Its worth the trip with the family.

Great for all ages! They provide free loop bus to bring us around animals' habitat for close up view withing the park! Monarto Safari Park is Huge! 14 kilometers walking trails can easily be covered by bus! 1 full round trip bus takes about 1.5hrs with tour guide explaining on board. Its truely an amazing experience!
Rainbow F — Google review
Amazing day, the 360 lion experience was fantastic. We had wheel chairs so was a bit limited to where we could go but the 1 & half hour coach trip around the park was great. Perfect weather 18 degrees so most of the animals were out and about.
Helen S — Google review
Visiting the safari zoo was a special experience. It’s definitely better to stay on the tour bus rather than walk, as the visitor platforms aren’t very convenient for spotting animals. The zoo can also be quite windy and cold, so be prepared!
Yue Z — Google review
I had such a great day at Monarto, the drivers of the bus have such good knowledge of the animals and interesting facts about the park. We then stayed at the new resort and it was incredible. I would love to stay there again. We stayed in one of the waterhole view rooms, and saw the giraffes and zebras coming to eat and drink, it was amazing to see from a hotel room. My partner proposed on the balcony looking over the waterhole and it was so perfect and magical.

Mannum Dock Museum of River History exceeded my expectations. There were so many interesting exhibitions full of history. We were there for about 2 hours. I went with my kids aged 8 and 7, they especially loved the interactive museum where they got to sound the whistle, steer the giant wheel and so much more. The PS Marion house Puddle Steamer was fun to explore seeing the cabins that people slept in and the kids were surprised to learn that people used to smoke inside smoke rooms. The kids and I played a game where we found items that had been improved/changed over the years. For example the steel iron has now changed to electric irons.

This is small but well set out, you don’t have to be an historian to appreciate how things were.

Lots of interesting suveneers and books about the river and the people who have lived all their lives near the river. Also a lot about the 1956 flood.Another is to see the dock itself and all the Pelicans etc wating just below the dock all redy to catch and feed on fish which come through. I've included a picture of the dock.If you bring it up large the Pelicans can be seen. The second photo is the ferry crossing the river at Walkers Flat not far from Mannum.

Pwrfect to spend time with the grandchildren and catch up the local river history. The museum is 2 floors of interactive displays. The kids loved it. The noise was all part of the experience. They particularly love it when we went out to the backyard and they climbed on board the PSMarion and checked out the wheelhouse and some rooms were open for us to check out. We could even go inside a cabin to see the accommodation! There was so much more to see and do here, you will really have to see for yourselves.

We looked through the inside part of the museum, it was all very interesting we only got a short time we got there a bit late. Would definitely come back again earlier to have a better look around. 🙂

Prancing Pony Brewery has quickly become a prominent fixture in the local beer scene despite being only 10 years old. The brewery and restaurant, located just off the beaten path, offer visitors a chance to witness the magic behind their acclaimed fire-brewed ales. Recently relocated to a larger shed at 42 Mount Barker Rd, Totness, Prancing Pony continues to draw attention with its exceptional brews.
I went here today with the family. I'd never gone before, and it was excellent. It was a good-sized meal and delicious. I ordered the drinks paddle to taste and was very satisfied. The staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend trying here. You won't regret it.

I have previously completed a review for this place with a pretty high score. However after visiting today for their new breakfast I will revise that higher. I had one of the best Ham & Cheese/ Tomato toasties & coffee in ages. The service was amazing including a great talk with the Boss lady. The other staff member was also super friendly & comical. We had a few laughs. Please support this Hills Icon. I also bought a couple of cans of beer to go & they supported me as well, it didn't go unnoticed. Thanks 🐴🐍

Excellent brisket burger and lamb skewers. Wide selection of beers for everyone's taste. Chill atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Food was outstanding, both beers and food were fantastic. Service is great but only 4 stars because Australia is very do it yourself, so you order from the QR code or at the bar and some nice person your food. Atmosphere was out of this world, live music great environment, was raining and the beer gardens were still packed with people, must be good otherwise who’s staying in the rain! We enjoyed our schnitzels both the beef and chicken are great we observed many pizzas that looked delicious and smelled great. Only downside was we were a bit cold seated by the door, but it was windy and raining and at least we were Inside which doesn’t seem to bother some of their loyal patrons. We even found them the next day in downtown Adelaide at our chosen lunch spot as the local beer of choice. So we partook again.

What a great experience we had here! The kids got to eat good food and the parents got to relax and have a few drinks while the kids were entertained in the kids corner. Big shout out to Prancing Pony for creating such a fun vibe & kid friendly atmosphere .

It was a very hot evening when we visited, so it wasn't very pleasant to eat in as they don't have air-conditioning. However, trying a few different beers was great. We also had a chicken pizza to share which was pretty average and expensive at $30 considering the toppings were minimal. I will try something different next time and perhaps try their schnitzel night on Thursdays.

The Hahndorf Farm Barn is a delightful attraction for families with children, offering an interactive farm experience. Kids can immerse themselves in farm life by feeding and cuddling various animals such as lambs, camels, donkeys, and calves. They can also try their hand at milking a cow and enjoy pony or tractor rides.
What a wonderful experience for the parents and kids to create memories. I was mostly impressed by how the staff made you feel so welcome and unafraid of feeding the animals and holding the reptiles. The reptile show is a must to see ! The rain did not keep us away
Kellee W — Google review
We went on a Saturday. There were 4 deers and they live in a big enclosed area where you can feed them closely. Tractor and pony ride are also unique experience for kids. Milk show lets audience try milking the cow. Reptile show lets audience pat some reptiles. The activities are attractive to kids under 8, bigger kids get a bit bored. Spending 2.5 hours in the farm was enough for my kids.
Clarence M — Google review
Really fun experience for the family. There are a lot of interesting farm animals for the kids too see, and this suits most ages from young toddlers up to, and beyond teenagers. The animals are friendly (some, including the deer are a bit pushy for food) and there is a lot to see. Definitely worth visiting or making a trip to see - about 40 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.
Andrew H — Google review
It was freezing and windy, but the service was lovely, and such a great hands on experience for everyone to learn how to milk a cow, how to feed and take care of any farm animals. We grab warm drinks and left after we had feed all the animals, brought some honey, and patted the baby animals enough times. It's definitely a place I highly recommend, just on a warmer day and a weekend so you can ride the tracker, and the horses.
Tarra M — Google review
Such a lovely experience of being in a farm. The tractor ride was really fun with the cattle grazing on yellow mountains. That was such an aesthetically pleasant sight. The animals on the farm were also lovely. Had a fun time with the toy tractors and excavators

I visited Hahndorf Farm Barn with my family over the weekend and we had a fantastic time. The entry prices are reasonable, and there’s a wide range of activities to enjoy, including animal feeding, horse rides, kids’ excavators and tractors, a play area, a lizard show, and a cow-milking demonstration. The surroundings are beautiful, making it a perfect spot for a family day out. Highly recommended.
Charitha D — Google review
We had our granddaughters birthday party here. Fantastic. Very well organised and run by a really lovely young lady who had everything under control. The kids milked a cow. Bottle fed the lambs. Fed carrots to the other farm animals. It was a great day out

Took the GK's (Miss 3 & Miss 5) on a Friday. They enjoyed the milking show and then walking around outside, feeding the deer, kangaroos, goats, sheep & calves. They loved being on the kids playground and the picnic area was nice, but the wind was up, so quite cold (it was late May). Will come back on a weekend so Miss 5 can do the pony rides.

Beerenberg Farm, located in Hahndorf, is a family-owned attraction that offers the opportunity to pick fresh strawberries from November to April. Visitors can enjoy the experience of hand-picking their own sweet strawberries for a small entry fee. The farm also features traditional crops such as sweet corn and mixed vegetables.
The environment is really comfortable and welcoming. The food is amazing. I ordered a big brekkie and it is worth every penny. It can feed two people easily in my opinion. It is 1000% worth it to buy any jam, it has an incredible flavour. The strawberry chocolate is so good, as a strawberry fan I highly recommend. Toilets very clean and aesthetic. Plenty of parking. Staff is very friendly. I would love to come back during strawberry harvesting season.

Very good place to stop whilst in Handorf. Strawberry picking available when in season. In the shop there is a cafe available serving drinks and food. In the shop there is a wide range of jams and other products available, for reasonable prices. Well worth a stop. Good sized car park outside.

Strawberry picking was absolutely amazing especially with the kids. By far the sweetest juiciest strawberries I’ve ever eaten (eating straight after picking it was the best). Definitely worth going when it’s the season and be ready for a long day out of walking too!

The restaurant crowded of people. The menu selection is quite simple and specialist. Seperate into 2 section. The meal area consist ice cream order. The shop area sell variety of products. Order do it in the counter and remember to tell your table number. Food and drink will be deliver to table. The lamb pie, smokey, bacon & eggs is good. Free flow of water is self service, get the cup and bottle of water from the counter.

Beerenberg Family Farm is a great spot for a day out. The strawberry picking is fun. After picking, the farm shop is well worth a visit. I did a lot of shopping there and stocked up on their fresh jams and local products, all excellent in quality. The place is very well run and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a simple, enjoyable experience that feels genuine and well cared for. A great place to relax, pick strawberries, and take home something delicious.

strawberry picking in beerenberg farm fun day hahaha you can do strawberry picking here but only during Nov to Apr, honestly the ticket is very valuable you can visit strawberry farm and taste a bit, but sadly the strawberry not sweet at all…still a funny experience in hahndorf they have a cafe shop insides with some green plants hanging, quite good environment and the shop next too only bad thing today is keep raining in between we have to stay under the tree to cover ourselves lolll hahaha Beerenberg farm rating of mine: 4.3
MandyGoTravelling — Google review
Nice relaxing walk from Hahndorf Inn, saw some cows. Strawberry picking not yet started, so we had ice cream & cookies, & browsed at the shop.
MJ F — Google review
The new barn is modern and high-end, and I found the mini museum quite interesting. Although the strawberry patch was closed today, the café was still bustling with people. As part of our mystery trail experience, we collected our meal base and had a quick browse through the shop before leaving. If we hadn’t already had lunch, this would’ve been a lovely spot for a meal—perfect for brunch or lunch in the Adelaide Hills. That said, I feel like Beerenberg Farm has lost some of the charm and personal touches that used to make it such a special place. Little things, like being personally greeted by staff, seem to be missing now.

The Cedars is a historic property that served as the residence, studio, and inspiration for the renowned Australian landscape artist Sir Hans Heysen. Nestled on a 36-acre estate that later expanded to 132 acres, this picturesque setting was home to Heysen and his family. Visitors can explore the evocative stone studio nestled among gum trees and view around 200 original artworks displayed in changing exhibits.
I was recommended to visit that incredible place by my friend. From my point of view, autumn is the most perfect time to go there. Due to bushfires we could see only Heysen's daughter studio and half of the garden. But even though I was so impressed. We took a self-guided tour, because we arrived too late, before they closed. Nevertheless, it was a good decision as well. We were all alone and could enjoy the beauty of the place and had a small picnic. I definitely will come back to take a guided tour to see the rest and know more about his life and creations.

I have been wanting to come here for a few years and so happy to have achieved my goal of seeing how Hans painted the Flinders Ranges; (from which we were heading home to Vic.) The house tour was fantastic- our Wednesday guide John was very knowledgeable. All the staff were most welcoming. I had bought my tickets on line no way did I want to miss out, it meant I could tag along with another earlier group tour. There is a lot of earth works currently in progress as a new gallery is being constructed. I look forward to seeing the old and the new together.

Big Rocking Horse, Adelaide – Great Family Spot We visited today and really enjoyed it! Entry to the Big Rocking Horse is only $2 per person, which is great value. Climbing to the top is fun but a bit hard for older people since it’s all ladders — kids will love it! There’s a nice café next to the horse with good food at reasonable prices. The animal park beside it costs $7 per person, where you can feed and touch the animals — great fun for children and adults too. Toilets are available and clean. Overall, a fun, affordable, and family-friendly place to visit!

Gorge Wildlife Park, nestled in the scenic Adelaide Hills and just a short drive from Adelaide, offers an exceptional opportunity to interact closely with a diverse array of Australian and exotic wildlife. Established in 1965 and spanning 14 acres of natural bushland, this family-operated sanctuary is home to koalas, kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, alligators, as well as various birds and reptiles. Visitors can hold koalas and observe these animals up close.
We enjoyed a wonderful visit to Gorge Wildlife Park. A cheerful welcome from staff and good information set us happily exploring this well set out park. There are lots of animals and birds to see. All healthy and look to be enjoying the picturesque facilities. It's on a slope but the paths meander around so that it's not difficult to get to all the wildlife. Highly recommend a visit. Good for everyone
Vicki S — Google review
Gorge Wildlife Park is a wonderful place to visit with family. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here enjoying the animals, especially if you love interacting with and caring for them. The park is well maintained, and you can feed some of the animals. There’s also a shop where you can buy souvenirs and animal food, plus a cafe offering meals and drinks. Parking is convenient, with three car parks available, one right at the entrance and two across the road—so finding a spot is not difficult. Entry prices are fair, and for an additional fee you can hold a koala at 11:30 am or 2:30 pm, which is a popular highlight. Walking paths are in place, though some areas have slopes and stairs, so keep this in mind if you’re visiting with prams or wheelchairs. There are several spots where you can sit and enjoy your own food, making it a relaxed outing. One improvement could be adding more information boards with animal details, which would make the experience even more engaging. Overall, it’s a great family-friendly destination that balances animal encounters, facilities, and accessibility.

Absolutely worth visiting! If you want a real, hands-on Australian wildlife experience, you must visit George Wildlife Park in Cudlee Creek, South Australia. This place is completely different from Adelaide Zoo, Monarto Safari Park or most other animal parks. You can hand feed friendly kangaroos, pet adorable koalas and enjoy an up-close encounter with many of Australia’s native animals, all at very affordable prices. The atmosphere feels natural, relaxed and family friendly. Staff are welcoming and the animals are clearly well cared for. It’s the perfect spot for tourists and locals alike who want an unforgettable wildlife experience without the high crowds or high entry costs. Highly recommended!

A great place to visit and get close-up with so many Australian animals (and plenty from overseas as well!). There is something here for everyone, from old favourites like kangaroos to some lesser-seen critters like capybaras. They were definitely the highlight of our visit, with the recently-born babies stealing many hearts in the audience. Don't forget the reptiles on the way out and, although less exotic, the rabbits and chickens are also worth spending time with! Very affordable for a family ($66 for a family of 4). I'd recommend getting there earlier rather than later, though, given the parking is limited and gets pretty full.

My first experience at Gorge will not be my last. I had the most wonderful day. I already can’t wait to go back! So many different animals .. the park itself was relaxing and spacious. Food was nice and the staff were lovely. The admission price was great value.

Such a lovely place to visit. Not too big (so you can actually make your way around to everything easy) but also lots of animals! So many enclosures and all were so good, plenty of plants and space and very natural looking inside. Cool variety of animals - natives, primates, reptiles, farm, exotic. Can feed kangaroos and wallabies as well as farm animals. Also an awesome shop and the good people were eating from the Cafe smelt amazing. Very well kept, the signs were being updated while we were there and they had plenty of signs apologising for it, while still having some signs available. Only thing that bothered me was the map, was hard to use - maybe try a satellite image to help place where things are accurately or you know someone with a drone who could take above photos? I'm good with maps but was very hard to use, it didnt show any paths on it or anything.

One of the major reasons we came to Australia from the states. How many people can say they held a koala or a kangaroo ate from the palm of their hands? Fun little park, we went on a public holiday so was packed but you find your private space to interact with the animals. Staff was polite and accommodating. Make the drive to Adelaide, it is 1000% worth it.

I think this is one of the best wildlife parks in South Australia. Be careful around the Ostriches though they are opportunistic and will eat hair accessories and hats. We alerted staff about it but they didnt seem all too concerned so I hope they are doing ok. All the animals were very active. Goats and birds were mighty keen for a feed. They have Capybaras. If you want to see Fairy penguins up close this is a good place to see them. Very active dingoes too. You can hear them howling across the park.

Adelaide Botanic Garden is a sprawling 125-acre oasis featuring rare plants such as the Wollemi pine and various sculptures, greenhouses, and cafes. The garden offers a range of activities for kids, including meandering pathways, diverse landscapes to explore, birdwatching opportunities, and historic buildings to visit. Visitors can access the garden from multiple entry points and enjoy attractions like the Bicentennial Conservatory - the largest single-span glasshouse in the Southern Hemisphere.
Beautiful gardens, amazing setting and very well taken care of. Walked through the entire garden, loved every part of it. Highlight was the rose garden for sure, absolutely amazing place, will go there to chill in the future as well.

The Adelaide Botanic Garden displays a few amazing plants, the most spectacular being the Victoria amazonica, which is the second largest in the water lily family Nymphaeaceae. The gardens were designed beautifully, and reflected the visions of the early directors of the botanic garden. One needs to spend a good part of one day to wander around the 50 ha of the magnificently maintained botanic garden. I enjoyed seeing the avenue of huge fig trees and the wisteria plants which were flowering. The volunteer guides of Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide take two free tours a day. We were privileged to be shown the gardens as an event of the 18th Australiasian Botanic Garden Guides Conference.

Before visiting this Adelaide Botanic Garden for the 1st time, I didn't have much expectation as I arrived South Australia in January 2025 and experienced the longest drought seasons in history. Everywhere were dry, grey / brown but not green, especially northern parts of the Adelaide City. After five months of raining since late May 2025 and in this Spring time, I reckoned it is now the best timing to visit Adelaide Botanic Garden to see the flowers and greenery. It looked like my understanding was correct, as the Adelaide Botanic Garden was really beautiful, much better than what I expected. Everywhere were green and with beautiful flowers. Thanks to the effort of the team especially the gardeners, the garden is well maintained with healthy plants and trees, and beautiful flowers and lawns. They have kept all facilities well like the ponds, wetland, fountains, glasshouses, walkways, fences, toilets, directional signs and function rooms etc. Everything in the garden were tidy, clean and functioning well. During my visit, there were several weddings events held inside the garden, on the lawns and inside the event centres. No doubt to me here is one of the best wedding venues in Adelaide. I don't think I have walked-through every corners of the garden yet as it is so big. I will definitely re-visit quite again as it is really a nice and lovely park which is so easy to access. For example, it's good to visit it for a walk in a weekend afternoon and then cross the street to visit one of the lovely restaurants in the East End for an enjoyable dinner.

The Botanical Gardens of Adelaide were very beautiful and impressive. Large trees and magnificent gardens made the park a must see. Also the conservatory and other structures there were great. We spent a good 2 hrs wandering the gardens.

A great place to visit if the traffic & noise of the city becomes too much. Great facilities or find a quiet spot. So much to do. Clean & tidy & looks amazing. Very reasonable prices for cafe food if you are looking for lunch but beware of the birds as they are known to steal food on occasion (there are signs warning of this in appropriate spots)

Lovely and impressive botanic garden which you must visit in South Australia! Very large that will take you a few hours to walk 🚶‍♀️ and you will enjoy coming here again and again! Shopping
Adelaide Central Market, established in 1869, is a food lover's paradise with over 80 vendors offering organic fruits, premium meats, and more. It is renowned as Adelaide's food hub and one of Australia's largest fresh produce markets. The market features a diverse range of products including fruit and vegetable shops, patisseries, cafes, gourmet cheeses, sweets, and charcuterie. Visitors can enjoy live music on Fridays and participate in various events such as cooking classes and workshops.
If you’re passionate about food, culture, or people, Adelaide Central Market is a spectacular stop. Its mix of tradition and innovation—centered on fresh South Australian produce and global flavors—continues to define Adelaide’s culinary identity. Though price-conscious visitors may need to comparison-shop, there’s no denying the energy, history, and community richness of the space. Whether you’re picking up artisan cheese, grabbing a quick lunch at one of the stalls, or simply soaking up the bustle, a visit here feels essential—a feast for senses and spirit alike.
Rae G — Google review
The Adelaide Central Market is such a delight! I had the sweetest cherries and the most flavorful quiche Lorraine, both absolutely unforgettable. Everything feels so fresh and made with care. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to wander, taste, and enjoy the best of Adelaide. Don’t miss the bookstore 🥰
Karen G — Google review
This was my second visit to these markets and, perhaps due to the ongoing renovations, seemed a bit less pleasant. Firstly, it didn't feel as large and secondly, I found it quite dark inside. Nonetheless, I did enjoy wandering all the aisles (some are a bit on the narrow side) and perusing the different stalls. The majority are definitely food and veggies, followed by fish and meat. There are plenty of eateries as well. If coming in by public transport, the free tram stops at Victoria Square - a 5 minute walk from the market. There is parking and the first hour is free. On Saturdays, the first three hours are free during market opening hours. There are electric vehicle charging stations in the carpark.
Emmy S — Google review
Artisan appeal and presentation - 5/5 Overall vibe was cosy and nostalgic walking around a wide selections of food and trades. Pricing - 2/5 Unfortunately, we felt many items are overpriced, which is a detriment to the notion of going to a market to find cheap local produce. If you’re not afraid to splash money, you’ll find this place amazingly diverse, but if you’re after a deal, you’ll likely wont find it here, and instead go to local famers markets. Whilst we enjoyed exploring the market, we felt reluctant spending money like $10 for a slice a pizza.
Win B — Google review
Busy and bustling market. Lots of fresh produce, seafood, meats, veggies, fruit. Not very many places were doing samplings when I was there, and inflation certainly is healthy, especially at the little eateries inside the market. Can't wait to see the place once the renovation is complete.
Candi M — Google review
Such a great market in Adelaide! You will find everything from pantry goodies and fresh produce to tasty baked treats. It’s right in the city, clean, well-kept and the vendors are always friendly and welcoming.

We came to this large market on a weekday morning. There is lots of variety for fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, cooked food and coffee. Most of the shops were open and we had a nice time browsing. Prices here are reasonable. This is a must visit place in Adelaide.

Rundle Mall is the heart of Adelaide’s shopping and social scene, lively and buzzing on both weekdays and weekends. Whether you’re looking for budget finds or premium brands, there’s something for everyone. From fashion and beauty to bookstores and tech, it truly is a one-stop destination. Nestled in the vibrant cultural precinct of North Terrace, the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. Established in 1881, this stunning gallery boasts an impressive collection of over 38,000 artworks that span various mediums including painting, sculpture, textiles, and more. A highlight is its extensive array of Indigenous Australian art alongside significant pieces from the colonial era.
Really lovely museum with great variety of art. Free entry with a very nice cafe too with outdoor garden area. One of many great things to see along that North Terrace street all close by.

All the good stuff in this gallery was almost ruined by one exhibit in the second room I entered: two horse carcasses, headless, hanging by one leg - truly horrible. I quickly left that room and avoided it on my return. Otherwise, interesting and very varied art and design work throughout this large gallery. Gift shop and café available.
Laura C — Google review
We did the 11.00 am guided tour and it was great she was so knowledgeable you could tell she really loved all the art pieces, i especially loved learning about the illusions in the artworks.

We visited this at gallery and we were pleasantly surprised by the extensiveness of the art collection. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We checked in our bags at the cloakroom to avoid any issues. There were many interesting pieces, ranging from historic paintings, sculptures and contemporary Aboriginal art. A recommended place to visit while in Adelaide.
S C — Google review
This is a really great art gallery that is free to enter. It has since iconic paintings and sculptures that you can see in my pictures. You probably need a good few hours to see it all.
Natasha G — Google review
They have some different pieces not just art which was interesting to see. Tried to ask the information desk about what are pieces not to be missed while visiting and they were very strange about my question? Bizarre staff. There has been exhibitions on that all stopped at the same time so few areas closed and a HELL of noise because people were drilling and got know’s what. Information was very small, sometimes hard to piece to what art piece, then also no further information just artist and date kind of information. Was just ok for me …
Sam S — Google review
Lots of beautiful, captivating fine art, and a restaurant downstairs that had a delicious vegan dish. There's also some modern art which I generally find ugly and off-putting, but a couple of pieces there were visually interesting.
Daniel B — Google review
Like most state owned art galleries in Australia this gallery is free to visit. Does not require any advance booking. Great for all ages. It has over 45,000 works of art; including impessionist, realistic, relics, renaissance, modernist, egyptian, interative art. It has the biggest collection of Aboriginal and Torres strait, and pre-colonial works. There is a gallery store and coffee shops, so it's a great day trip. Can get to via public transport, and plenty of streets and garage parking.

Nestled on North Terrace, the South Australian Museum is a treasure trove of natural history and Aboriginal culture. This impressive five-story institution houses over four million artifacts, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in Australia’s rich heritage. The museum's extensive collection spans various fields such as biological sciences, archaeology, mineral sciences, and paleontology. Visitors can marvel at everything from taxidermy displays to ancient Egyptian mummies and even dinosaurs!
🏛️Great place for when the weather isn’t good. I visited the free exhibitions and was really impressed. I loved the part of aboriginal history, as you can learn a lot through different media’s. Maps, videos, auto, games and of course the classic showcase. The staff were great as well, helpful, efficient and friendly. I liked the atmosphere, it was quiet and peaceful. It wasn’t full so it was nice to just take your time with the exhibition. There are plenty of car parks very close to it or you just take the public transport which is also great! In the museum there is also a cafe, which was full and very popular. If you are interested in more specific exhibitions then they offer paid admission as well. 25$ to see (currently) the history of the Vikings. I think that’s a pretty fair price. All in all great way to spend a few hours.

What a wonderful museum Adelaide has ! It's main beauty lies in the fact it's still housed in an old building . There are four levels and a mezzanine and all have well set out displays . The main museum is free to enter but donations are accepted to help the museum . The museum hosts speciality displays and these have admission fees . You can go to the museum site to check what is on and admission prices and ticket availability . We started at the top and made our way down to ground level . You can easily spend 4-6 hours at the museum if you are reading information provided at each display . Well worth the visit .

The zoo offers educational opportunities for all ages and is renowned for its captivating animal collection. As one of Adelaide's top family-friendly attractions, it provides an unforgettable day out for animal lovers.
Absolutely wonderful, so many animal experiences to do and I got to feed a cute hippo. Loved it. I will definitely visit again when I go to Adelaide. The cafe has respectable vegetarian and vegan options and there's a water fountain close to the kangaroos. People are so friendly and nice. This is a zoo I'd actually donate to. Very close to the city and walkable distance too

It was a great experience and the zoo is very well maintained. The giant pandas were resting around 11am, so we couldn’t see them, but the rest of the visit was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly, and my daughter had a fantastic time. We were lucky to have the cheetah sitting right next to the viewing glass, which was an unforgettable moment. The meerkats, digging away furiously, put on a fun show. For me, the highlight was the walk through the wetlands as it truly felt like being transported into a real jungle environment. Would definitely recommend to visit at least once. Close to the city. Plenty of paid parking.

The car park for zoo allow to park maximum 4 hours. It is not long enough, but understand is a control of the flow of tourists, ensure all visitors got chance to go in and not crowded of people, so that visitors feel comfortable during the visit. The admission fee is quite high, but reasonable. Most native animals can find in the zoo. A bonus to the trip, 2 Panda is found inside the zoo, and we witness one of the panda poo poo.... Hahaha. The zoo is not as big as the one in Sydney or Singapore, but is nice to be there. There is only one restaurant inside the zoo. Foods and drinks are okay. The most lovely things is we meet a few volunteer senior work and guide visitors inside the park. So good to chat with them, and all seniors are act professional, patience, warm and nice. A thumd up for them. Wish them all the BEST!

My granddaughter and I enjoyed our visit to the zoo. It’s been over ten years since I’ve been and I was pleasantly surprised by the changes to the design. There is a great adventure type playground which my granddaughter explored enthusiastically. We also loved the overhead animal runs giving some of the tree dwelling creatures more freedom.

Visited on a mild Friday mid November. Excellent facilities, food and refreshments. But vitally the care of the animals and enclosures was exceptional. Easy access throughout and enough to see to fill a six hour gentle meander. Let alone the colony of Flying Fixes right out front!

The highlight of our trip to Adelaide was here at the zoo! The most beautiful and well kept botanic surrounds, an easy walk and accessible for those who need it. A beautiful home for a wide array of animals. Of course our favourites were the roly-poly pandas however there were others who were just cute.

Sights & Landmarks
Adelaide Oval is a modernized sports and entertainment venue with a capacity of 53,500. The stadium's distinctive horseshoe shape and unique roof design make it an iconic landmark. Following restoration, the stadium now hosts a variety of national and international sports events, as well as concerts and functions. The restoration aimed to preserve heritage elements while incorporating modern materials that complement the city's architecture.
Adelaide Oval is easily one of the best venues I’ve ever visited. Every time I’ve been there, it’s been an incredible experience. The atmosphere is electric, whether it’s for a cricket match, footy game, or a live concert. The crowd energy, the views, and the overall vibe make it something special. The facilities are world-class, with great seating, easy access, and plenty of food and drink options. The staff are friendly and always helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. The Oval itself is stunning, especially when it’s lit up at night with the city skyline in the background. What stands out most for me is how well everything is organised — from parking and entry to crowd management and amenities. Every visit has felt smooth and enjoyable. If you’re in Adelaide and haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. It’s not just a venue — it’s an experience. Absolutely the best of the best.
Sunil N — Google review
Great location and has an excellent atmosphere. Went for an AFL match and made plans ahead of time with friends and got there very early so we could access seats. Use a walker and found challenges. There were many free parks closer to venue but disability was still on lawn and after the rain getting through the mud was difficult. In the venue there was a good size ramp to access seating and there was disabled areas. Lucky we got there early to access. Prices are high, which is expected. Accommodates more for able body people which is discouraging as it often makes it too hard to frequent locations like this. If I didn't have assistance I would not be able to venture here and enjoy.

Phenomenal Venue! Adelaide Oval is a Certified Concert Powerhouse! We attended Adelaide Oval for the first time, traveling over from Melbourne for the massive Metallica concert on Wednesday, November 5th. Yes! You guessed it—we came for the metal, and the venue delivered on every single front. For an open-air venue hosting such a huge event, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and layout. Even though the place was packed and absolutely electric with energy, it was remarkably easy to navigate. The facilities and amenities were great, and every staff member on deck for the concert was professional and genuinely helpful. What truly stood out was the atmosphere. For a massive stadium show, the space felt surprisingly intimate, and critically, the sound was truly METAL! The acoustics were fantastic, making the live music experience unforgettable. 🎸🎸🎸⚡⚡⚡ We loved our entire experience at the Adelaide Oval. It's a world-class venue and absolutely the place to catch a show. Thanks for an incredible night!

A beautiful retreat to stay at. There are four separate cottages on beautiful grounds. The grounds have numerous fountains, swimming pool, barbeques and fire pits. This was/is a special place. So quiet, just gorgeous setting. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The one thing I would have wanted to know is the nearest restaurant is in town so plan on driving 8 minutes for dinner. That being said, I hit foodland and enjoyed having my own meals after some wine tasting. The BBQ facilities were great. The beauty of the property is indescribable. I hope to return

We had a wonderful stay in the Orchard and Seville Suites in Jacobs Creek Retreat for 3 nights in late Sep, 2024. The suites were beautifully decorated and surrounding gardens were stunning. Jerry was highly responsive and most helpful in sharing local tips. At sunrise, we saw kangaroos near the vineyards behind the retreat which was amazing! On our final evening, Jerry made special arrangements in the Orchard Suite for us to dine in style. All in all, I highly recommend the retreat as it’s very charming and zen and in close proximity of the town of Tanunda where we found lovely restaurants. The Barossa Valley has so much to offer and staying somewhere like Jacobs Creek Retreat made our experience that much more special.

The rustic charm suite had all the amenities we needed including a lively spa bath. Highly recommend this place and will be back in the future.

Rockford Wines is a historic stone building that offers sales and tastings of locally made wines, as well as sauces and chutneys. The winery features traditionally made, small-range wines, including reds from smaller labels like Teusner, Langmeil, Kalleske, and others. Visitors can witness the wine-making process and even see grape vines being shoveled into an antique grape de-vining machine. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the wines they offer.
This Winery was so good, it ruined it for all the others! Small, intimate winery made traditionally meant every type was smooth, easy to drink, and just delicious. You can absolutely taste the difference between Rockford Wines and other local mass-produced wines. Free wine tasting was a bonus, and staff were very knowledgeable about the grapes and whole wine making process. Highly recommended.

One of the cutest and most welcoming wineries we went to in the Barossa we had a great time with the hostess, loved the wines and the decor. Recommended !

Went on a Tuesday. Gorgeous place and vibes. Wines are impeccable. Light and tasty and the basket press is unique and definitely needs to be tasted. The highlight though was the service. Blonde lady with a slight UK accent served us and she was just amazing. Made the whole thing come together like a good wine and cheese.

Rockford Wines is a Barossa is such a gorgeous place to visit to try the local wines The beautiful stone buildings create such a charming setting, but what really made the visit special was our host, Sienna. She was very welcoming and her knowledge of the wines and the history of the region turned the tasting into a personal and memorable experience.

For 25 years I’ve always said If I had a weekend to live I’d spend it at Alain Ducasse’s Bastide de Moustiers in Provence (scoffing down the Truffle gnocchi). Having now had my first Stonewallers lunch, I’ve revised my desired last moment to be sipping Black Shiraz in front of the fire in the Rockford Cellar door (after lunch). Stellar wine, made and shared by stellar people in a setting to die for ( but not just yet) 😊

Rockford Wines is always on our Barossa winery hit list. The staff are always amazing and genuinely love what they do and the Rockfords ethos. Excellent wines and a beautiful cellar door.

A MUST STOP winery in the Barossa. Absolutely fantastic, unique and wonderful winery. Kris ran us through a free tasting of their 10 wines. She did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. The winery itself was beautiful, we were there in May so couldn’t see everything functioning. However, come from on Feb-April and you will see it all in full working order. It’s incredible. The old buildings and autum leaves were INCREIDBLE. All their wine was delicious and we ended up buying a few bottles!

They have about 11 wines to taste and best amazing thing is their wine tasting is complementary!! Good location for photos with all the autumn colors and old buildings! We ended up buying 3 different wines and we LOVE their 2019 Shraz VP!!

Nestled on the picturesque hill slopes, Grant Burge Cellar Door offers a delightful experience for wine enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. With stunning views of the surrounding vineyards, this modern cellar door is perfect for savoring exquisite wines while watching the sunset. Guests can indulge in various tasting experiences, from reds and whites to sparkling wines paired with delicious platters. The knowledgeable staff, like the friendly Harry who provides personalized service, enhances each visit by sharing insights about their exceptional offerings.
The wines at Grant Burge have been the best I've tried through Clare, McLaren and now here in the Barossa. Harriet and Jodie looked after us super well. I focused on the reds tasting and there was not one wine I didn't like. That made it hard to choose which to buy. Thank you again, the tasting was very special.

Amazing experience here! The drive here is beautiful with a long drive way to the cellar door. The staff was so welcoming and knowledgeable but didn’t seem hovering over! The range is fantastic and was able to try a cheeky others thanks to the staff! Enjoyable range of wines!

We had our second visit to Grant Burge over the weekend. Our first was a wine and chocolate tasting and this time we had a sparkling wines and platter experience (a Christmas gift). Both were amazing with our host on both occasions being friendly, and very knowledgeable making it a total experience with some amazing views overlooking the vines. The platter was fabulous with some great wines of which we purchased some to take away. Woukd definately recommend this winery for professionalism and location.

Such an amazing experience at Grant Burges Winery on Saturday 7th September. Harriet was such a wonderful host for the Ultimate Wine and Chocolate Experience! Her knowledge about the wines and chocolate was fantastic! Her friendly personality and lovely smile was a wonderful touch to make such a personal experience. The view from the tasting room is breathtaking! Look forward to visiting again soon!

Jodie was fantastic, squuezed is onto the bar at 4:45 on on a Sunday to do a quick tasting "off the menu". Made our day! Beautiful wines and views.

We called in they were so rude!! I love their Chardonnay Pinot! I wanted the experience to taste further wines, didn’t even ask us to the cellar door, everything seemed to be too hard speaking amongst themselves. Will give them no accolades!

Grant Burge cellar door was open on the Adelaide cup public holiday -- one of the few. So we visited not knowing extractly what we could expect other than tastings. We were greeted by the lovely Harry and she was super personable and attentive. She had a few tables to look after, but she spared the time to talk is through our wines and shared her personal experiences. We decided to start off with the chocolate pairing and it was an enjoyable experience ($25). We had such a good time we decided to them move on to the deluxe grazing platter with the Shiraz tasting. We highly recommend both and thank Harry for making our day :)

"Just Bliss" chocolate & wine experience. Was keen to try this @ Grant Burge & it was truly the best way to start our barossa wine tasting day. Great weather, views, chocolate, wine & Michelle shared her great knowledge of all well. Was our favourite for the day. Highly recommend it.

Artisans of Barossa is a collective of talented winemakers who share a cellar door facility in the Barossa Valley. The group aims to promote small-batch, boutique wineries. The modern restaurant offers picturesque views over the vineyards and serves delicious food and wine. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings from 8 different winemakers, including rare and high-end options. Additionally, there's a delicatessen for casual dining and a spacious outdoor area where dogs are welcome.
Came in for a quick lunch and add-on wine tastings without any booking. They offer either casual lunch at their deli benches (which are really high chair dining tables) or formal lunch at their dining room. We chose the deli bench, but the service is still spot on. When ordering (at the counter), the staff made great recommendations. They also provided water and spittoon upon request, delivered to our table. We ordered jerky chicken and salmon, and they’re both delicious. The food seems to be designed for wine pairing, since they’re salty and/or greasy, but goes perfectly well with the Eden valley Riesling. Will def come again if we ever visit the area!

We came for lunch after a full morning of wine tasting elsewhere and didn’t have room for more wine—but the food alone made it well worth the visit. We sat indoors at Essen restaurant with a lovely view of the lawn outside. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We had the sourdough appetizer, scallops, steak, and grilled cauliflower—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. Service was excellent—the woman who served us was warm, friendly, and had a great smile. Highly recommend for the food, the setting, and the hospitality. We’ll definitely be back to try the wine next time.

had dinner here and it was outstanding. The view from our table over the vines was beautiful, and we even spotted a kookaburra outside. The food was amazing the kangaroo was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, easily the highlight of the night. The Brussels sprouts were fantastic too, and the steak was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Next time we’ll be back for the wine tasting followed by another meal. Highly recommend!

Could not have celebrated a New Year's lunch any better. The food was delectable, the atmosphere heavenly, and the service impeccable. I would absolutely recommend this experience and look forward to our next visit. We enjoyed: * House bread with garden herb butter as a 'snack' * Roam sirloin with charred onion and chimichuri, and Margra lamb saddle with lentils and spiced yoghurt as our 'mains' * Raspberry doughnuts to finish.

Really enjoyed the wine tasting and the scenery. This weekend I believe it was Greg and his partner from Hobbs working in the tastings and they were absolutely fantastic service and we really enjoyed it. Only issue was the team member behind the bar, she was not welcoming at all and we were looking for some light eats and she literally gave us 60 seconds to order while we were getting a great story during the tasting. If we didn't order in 60 seconds no food or something like that. Was a good day but the lady working there was diabolical in her service skills.

Wow! What a beautiful experience we had last week at Artisans of Barossa! The wine was superb, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Highly recommend a visit. Thank you to Jonathon, Rachel and Hazel - you were all a delight and so very helpful! Well done.

Such a great concept to have 7 highly rated winemakers in one destination. The team there are so knowledgeable on the wine. Friendly and easy to sit back for a lazy afternoon learning about the wine and the area. Good to meet the winemakers and hear their stories. Of course after a generous wine tasting experience we moved across to the restaurant where the team were friendly and attentive and the food was divine. This is how to spend your day
