This walking track is a wonderful experience for nature lover. If you are visiting during July - November you can enjoy seeing whales and dolphins from the view points there. The place is clean and have drinking water facilities and washrooms too. You can reach the most easterly point of Australia mainland from the walking track. View of the ocean is amazing. I had a wonderful time there, watching waves and listening to bird songs..❤️

Just beautiful. The loop is 3,6km or 4,2 if you do the last little bit in trail. Obviously touristy, but we did in winter with good weather and not many people were there. Just at the lighthouse was a bit more, but still extremely enjoyable. Definitely worth it. We spotted many whales and dolphins

Sensational. Absolutely sensational. Oh… it was a bloody challenge and not for those with knee or back issues but it was a GREAT walk! Dragged 4 kids along who managed the walk we did from ‘The Pass’ to the lighthouse and back. Many steps. Steep gradients. Lots of chairs and rest stop areas along the way. Very glad we did it if only this section. Saw lizards, koalas, and whales!!!!!!!!

We walked the Cape Byron Walking track circuit, starting at the Palm Valley carpark. The track up to the most easterly point and the lighthouse hugs the coastline. The track is fully paved and concreted up to the Lighthouse, with steps and some steep inclines. There are many places to stop and catch your breath if needed. We experienced incredible views and we lost count of the amount of whales frolicking in the waters, near and a far. There is a small cafe at the top and toilets as well. On the way back we continued on to the Tallow Ridge track. This track is not paved and whilst the views are not out to the ocean, the rainforest is beautiful to walk through. There are stairs, as well as flat bush tracks. This part of the track could be a little slippery in the wet. A much quieter track and a beautiful walk. The Tallow Ridge track may be a little hard for smaller children due to the steepness of some of the stair heights.

We enjoyed the Cape Byron Walking Track. The views were stunning, and the path was well-kept and easy to follow. I stopped at a few lookouts and just soaked it all in. A great spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some amazing ocean scenery.

A beautiful sea view walk. Make sure you look out for the dolphins or whales that I believe swim around the bays. I saw some cool wildlife and the views from the lighthouse are beautiful. It’s a bit of a difficult walk and contains some steep stairs but worth it if you can manage.

For those new to the area, pay no attention to the "Open/Closed" indicator within Google Maps for this location!! It's simply a very nice and well maintained coastal track with great views and without entrance gates -- so it's always open! It even has a very nice (unexpected) cafe along the track called "The Pass Cafe"!

Nice little cafe with a good cuppa. We had a ham cheese tomato croissant that was quite good and a carrot cake that was pretty tasty. Now what makes this place special is quite obviously the view. One of the most iconic views in Australia. Beautiful. You have to be quite lucky to get parking g but it is available. Very nice that they have the tables outside to enjoy the view. Nice touch.

The views from this lighthouse are definitely worth the 8 dollars we paid for parking. You get a full 360° of amazing scenery and there is a lovely little hill walk too. The coffee shop is delightful too! They do fresh gelato ice cream which is exactly what you need to cool down after the walk.

Absolutely beautiful! The food was delicious and the coffee was AMAZING. seriously the best coffee in Byron bay and such a reasonable price. The manager Sian and her sister are absolutely beautiful and so kind. Love that they are a family ran business and locals! Their sister cafe is also The Pass Cafe which I can not wait to try. 1000/10 the best cafe!

The redeeming feature of this cafe is the spectacular views! The coffee, latte and scone were mediocre. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. The car park attendant was quite rude and officious. It would be good for the frontline person to be friendly and welcoming.

Walked up with my water bottle, immediately told to go outside to fill it up which is fine but one of the ladies working, I could not understand what she was saying and she was pointing around the corner (the water fountain was straight ahead). Then I finally realised where she meant and heard the other lady say “open your eyes” and they both laughed….. SORRY but I could’ve found it quicker if your coworker wasn’t babbling while speaking and had just given me clear direction. Got annoyed at me when it was her coworkers fault that I started to go the wrong way. I work in hospitality I know how frustrating it can get especially when a customer can’t find something but I’d never say something rude like that out loud in front of them. So rude! Also I was planning on grabbing something to eat but nevermind! Maybe next time you go to talk poorly about or to a customer keep your voice down😁

Popped in for a quick snack and beverage when viewing the lighthouse. Surprisingly…. Wasn’t expensive, had great food and the view is just sensational! Strong recommend from me!!!

Sensational views. Chance of spotting dolphins and whales. Sunrise is a must. Moderate walk up there. Not really much parking available (cost involved) so most people walk or ride half way. Nice little cafe for coffee and iceream althought staff a little rude. Free entry to actually go up and have a look from top of the lighthouse by volunteer guides.

A gorgeous working farm with so much to offer. Lots of local produce, fresh cut flowers, plants, a cafe, ice creamery and restaurant on site. We visited as a couple, but so much to see for kids and families too. Lots of open green spaces, the opportunity to sign up for hands-on, educational sessions or just wander around taking it all in with a coffee. We took home a ready made meal, cheese, wine and small goods for a platter. Don't miss this, a must do in Byron.

We visited over the weekend and arrived around 7:30am—already about 70% of the car park was full, so it's clearly a popular spot. We didn’t join a tour and instead wandered around the farm with our dog on-leash. The farm is well signed, making it easy to navigate on your own. There’s a great variety of farm animals, a lovely macadamia orchard, and other produce to explore. We grabbed a coffee, lemon meringue tart, Portuguese tart, ham and cheese croissant, and a jar of mixed nuts along with fresh eggs. The food was great—though prices are on the higher side, which is expected for a tourist-oriented location. The older lady at the cashier was polite and courteous. However, the younger staff around the coffee area were less helpful. I felt I was treated differently, being asked to wait outside for my order while others were clearly allowed to wait inside. It was disappointing and felt discriminatory. The service here could definitely be improved.

The food was absolutely delightful. Our gluten free options tasted fresh and flavourful. Walking around The Farm, after our meal at the Three Blue Ducks, was lovely. There were so many happy chooks and cute sheep, goats, cows, and many other farm creatures.

Great access to animals at no charge. Ducks, chickens, goats and sheep. Farm shop, ice cream shop and restaurant prices were very steep but to be expected at a touristy hotspot. We didn't eat there or buy anything but just a place to stretch our legs on the trip from Brisbane to Byron Bay

We have visited The Farm a few times. We dined in the restaurant again and the specials were spectacular, the porchetta was delicious. The service was also outstanding. The takeaway pasteries from the bakery were a little underwhelming but overall a lovely visit. The restaurant cuisine and service was outstanding. We will be back.

An interesting place for dining off the busy area of Byron. Pleasant surroundings- farm style as the name indicates. Service was good, staffs were friendly and the food was delectable. Careful if you’re sitting on the outside area as you will have birds as guests.. We were there on a weekday so there was no live band.

Perfect day out! We made our own picnic in the cafe onsite and enjoyed it at one of the picnic tables. After that we explored the farm and visited some of the farm animals. Great space for the whole family. The food is all delicious! Highly recommend!

Massive waterfall and the pathways around it were really good. Looking down felt crazy its a long way down. Certainly worth a look. The pathway is well maintained and there is a nice viewing platform. It's accessible for anyone be young, old or in a wheelchair. It's a nice spot for a picnic with tables and benches and some toilets also

Take your 4WD! The drive is narrow and winding with many potholes off the sides and on road to avoid. The road turns into dirt for a stint and then turns to bitumen leading up to the carpark. Sedans and low to ground cars can drive there but I wouldn't recommend it in the wet. The site has toilets and paved walkway to the landing to see the Minyon Falls. The falls would be spectacular after rains. The drop is expansive. There are a number of bushwalks you can take from this spot.

Minyon Falls Lookout: A Thrilling View Worth the Treacherous Drive Minyon Falls, nestled within the magnificent Nightcap National Park in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the area. The view from the lookout, where the 100m cascade plunges over the rhyolite cliffs into a deep, palm-shaded gorge below, is breathtaking. On a clear day, you can often see all the way out to the coastline. The lookout platform is easily accessible via a short, gentle walk from the main car park, making it perfect for all fitness levels. However, reaching this slice of paradise is an adventure in itself, and requires serious preparation—and a careful choice of vehicle. A Warning About Road Conditions Visitors must be fully aware that the journey to Minyon Falls is challenging and should not be undertaken lightly, especially after heavy rain. Access to Minyon Falls is only via Minyon Falls Road. The roads leading into the National Park are often single-lane in stretches, narrow, and winding, requiring extreme caution and low speeds. Visibility around corners can be poor. The final section of the approach, particularly along Minyon Falls Road, is unsealed (dirt/gravel) and notoriously rough. Deep potholes, large rocks, and deep run-off ditches are common, posing a significant risk to the underside and tires of low-clearance vehicles. While some sedans can make it if driven slowly and with great care, a 4WD or high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended, especially if wet weather is forecast or has recently occurred. The dirt tracks become extremely muddy and slippery when wet. The drive itself demands full concentration, but the reward at the end makes the bumpy, slow journey worthwhile. Exploring the Tracks!! From Easy Viewpoints to Hard Climbs Once you arrive, Minyon Falls offers several walking tracks to suit different energy levels. 1. Minyon Falls Lookout (Easy) • Distance: Very short, 50\text{m} to 100\text{m} return walk from the car park. • Grade: Easy. • Highlights: Panoramic views over the gorge, waterfall, and the distant coast. Picnic tables are available here. 2. Minyon Grass to Base of Minyon Falls (Hard) • Distance: Approximately 4\text{km} return. • Time: Around 2 hours. • Grade: Hard/Strenuous. • Highlights: This is the most direct route to the base of the falls and the beautiful natural swimming hole. However, the final 100\text{m} involves a challenging rock scramble over large, often wet and slippery boulders to reach the pool at the base of the 100\text{m} drop. 3. Minyon Loop Walking Track (Moderate/Hard) • Distance: 7.5\text{km} to 13\text{km} circuit (depending on start point). • Time: 3.5 to 5 hours. • Grade: Moderate to Hard. • Highlights: This full circuit allows you to experience the diverse landscape, passing through ancient subtropical rainforest, alongside fern-lined creeks, and showcasing towering old-growth brushbox trees before descending to the base of the falls. Be prepared for steep sections on the return climb. Essential Preparation for Visitors Due to the remote location and potential challenges of the drive and the trails, you must come prepared: Sturdy hiking shoes with excellent grip are essential, particularly for the rock scrambling near the base of the falls and the steep, potentially slippery loop track. • Water: Carry plenty of drinking water (at least per person for the longer walks). • Leech Protection: After rain, leeches are common in the rainforest sections. Wear long socks and consider insect repellent. • Weather: Check the forecast and wear appropriate clothing (layers, rain gear). If the falls are the main attraction, visit after recent rainfall to ensure a strong flow; they can be reduced to a trickle in dry spells. • Safety: Always advise a friend or family member of your travel plans and expected return time, as phone reception can be intermittent.

Easy access to the lookout area. Plenty space to park. Restroom, bbq spot and picnic table are there too for visitors. Only took around 5 minutes from carpark to the lookout. Place was beautiful and the view was amazing that day eventho its raining hard.

Beautiful walk to the bottom of the falls. Being winter was too cold to swim but have been in summer and it was a great swimming spot. Bit of rock scrambling towards the end so not suitable for young children

Great view of the waterfall and a lovely walk to the bottom of the waterfall. We walked to the bottom, then to the picnic area and walked back along the road back to the lookout and it took just over 3 hours.

I’m a fan. And I will be back. There’s a huge abundance and variety of native edibles as well as other exotic edibles and plant stock to wander. Today we grabbed some great bargains for the beginning year of our food forest. The staff have been helpful, despite me not knowing what to ask - having almost no growing experience - they have been able to direct me to what I need to know. And the emails have been useful and informative- no excess.

Visited Daleys Fruit tree Nursery yesterday, and came home with a Custard Apple tree (Paxton Prolific)! My grandchildren and I can’t wait to pick fruit from our new tree. Luckily them know we need to care and water our trees before they start to fruit. The wait is worth it when you get the result of beautiful fresh fruit. Thanks Daleys for your advice

Happy with purchase: reasonable pricing, plant is good quality and arrived in very good condition. Especially, happy with fair pricing for delivering interstate, plus multiple choices on couriers. Other places online charged a crazy amount to deliver interstate, to the point it was not worth it to buy the plant, so I'm glad I've found Daley's! Will be shopping here again.

I have used Daleys to buy plants online about 10 times, and I've always ended up with a great plant. The website has lots of good information to help you choose the right plant for you and your climate with info on pollination varieties when cross-pollination, etc. Is required. The service is great, and they have quickly and helpfully resolved an issue the one time I had with one. I'll keep coming back! :)

Iconic mall with underground parking. Shop at all the usual suspects plus specialty shops. A cool respite in summer for what is known locally as a 'squang' but please don't neglect the CBD. Flooded for the first time in the unprecedented 2022 flood and has been completely renovated internally.

Fun place for the kids to play in Heritage Park beside the Visitor Information Centre, fully fenced with quite a few bbq areas Only Bad point is No toilets close to play area . Only toilets in Visitor Information Center ONLY whilst centre is open, surely Council could provide children's toilets at the park to use during day light only...

Polite staff although I think more advice and guidance could have been offered. I got a few ideas but could have got the same information from the leaflet rack next to the desk.

This is definitely worth a visit if you are driving along the pacific highway/east coast. We stopped by here during our road trip from QLD to Melbourne and took some pictures. This attraction would be great fun especially for the kids. There is plenty of free parking available at bunnings car park.

We stopped by the Big Prawn in Ballina for some classic touristy photos. There’s no specific parking, but we just pulled into the Bunnings car park (no tickets required). We rode past on the weekend but it was packed, so we came back early Monday morning when it was quiet and managed to get a great spot for photos.

Easy parking. My eldest asked if they have a "Big BBQ" to go with the prawn, you could just pop in to bunnings to grab one while you're there.

Biggest prawn I've seen (so far). While standing in the Bunnings parking lot admiring the craftsmanship of this large crustacean, it began to thunder. That quickly, our admiration became tinged with fear. What other weather events might the Big Prawn conjure? Flash floods? Acid rain? Stop and see Him if you're in the neighborhood, but do so with the respect and appreciation He deserves. Only 4 stars because it could be bigger.

Big and funny prawn that is worth a quick stop if you are driving by or during a long road trip. Lots of free parking at Bunnings and you can go for a toilet break nearby at Faulks Reserve (the toilet opens from 6am-6pm). Definitely drop by if you get the chance and snap a pic or get a good laugh. Just make sure you don't get run over by cars while you are admiring this comically large prawn!

Had a great experience this morning with the lady working! She was incredibly informative about the area and beyond for us travelling. We went to the lighthouse walk and spotted the dolphins. Highly recommend stopping in! We were also thrilled to get a iron on patch to add to our collection

As an international traveler, I found the Ballina Visitor Information Centre incredibly helpful. The staff were super friendly and gave me really good suggestions and ideas on what to do in the area, which made my visit to Ballina even more enjoyable. They have a wealth of information, along with fantastic maps and brochures that helped me get around with ease. I was also impressed by their wide selection of local souvenirs and gifts — I picked up some amazing local products and couldn’t resist the fun prawn socks! If you're visiting from overseas like me, make this one of your first stops. It's a great way to get oriented and pick up some great souvenirs to take home.

Called in to ask about whale watching. Very helpful and informative staff who booked for us and had personal experience with the trip. Really great service and so much better than relying on internet info. As a retail worker I value good service and this was provided. Thank you!!

Very nice girl helped us and gave us some ideas what to do whilst waiting for our flight out of Ballina to Sydney. We spent day at pool across from info centre.

We visited in the school holidays with our 3 kids. Ranging from 12yo-1yo. So much to see and look at. Also some interactive exhibits from scavenger hunts, knot tying and ship steering wheels and horns. You could easily spend an entire day in there just reading and learning but the bonus is it kept my kids captivated looking at all the model ships and a torpedo. So much history - we loved it.

An amazing and well curated museum. Well worth the $5 entry. Kept us busy on a rainy day. We will definately be going back again.

What a fabulous place! Even if you aren't into maritime, you will find it fascinating and learn lots. They cater for kids too, with a fact finding mission. So much history, displayed so well. You could easily spend several hours there, as there is so much to read and see. Congratulations to the volunteers who keep this place running. It's a credit to you.

Was just circling around the town and realised there is a museum around. 5 dollar entry... It's better to have cash in hand... They have a great collection of naval vessels models and useful trivia about it. A lot of captured vessels and their info too. It's definitely worth a visit.

Wow! What an amazing place to take kids to learn about all kinds of floating sea and river going vessels. My three year old grandson ate this place up! Needs repeat visits to fully absorb all there is to see. We lived all the boat models and pirate info. We will be back and at $3 entry fee it’s a great place to go on a rainy day. Some very cool & reasonably priced souvenirs are also available to buy to remember your visit. 5 stars!!

We have a great time at the museum. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the scavenger hunt was really fun. There were loads to look at and the boats were very detailed. We got to hold different shells and seahorses for finishing the scavenger hunt. I would definitely recommend this place. We didn't even have to wait, and the entrance fee was very cheap. It was quite cool in the museum, and we could see the ship's cabin in the olden days. It was really fun, and we hope to come back.

What an amazing place to visit. We were so impressed with the displays and all the models. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful. This is well worth a visit and I would highly recommend it.

Great dog friendly beach - our dog absolutely loved it. No shade and pretty rough so not a beach where I would spend a long time but perfect for strolling along and letting the dog burn some energy.

A great breakfast or lunch place in Maclean. Great coffee and the breakups we had were great. Service was professional and polite. This place roasts their own coffee and also operates a brewery. It gets quite busy at times so bookings are recommended.

Really love what they are doing here. Great service that seeks to please. Have been back 3 times across the years and the coffee is still excellent. Pastries in the window are not too cliche and the breakky menu is lovely. Recommend the Rueben sandwich. Yum! Thank you also for taking bookings … super hard to walk in to other breakfast venues and this alone keeps us coming back knowing that we will have a seat ! Great service from the older lady (possibly Tina ?) she was awesome.

Perfect stop for lunch on a long drive. Not far off the M1, super quick service, looked like plenty of tables. The coffee was good (strong) and the food was yum. Friendly and attentive staff too :)

A lively cafe with lots of delicious food options. Toasties were not on the menu but they happily made one for me, coffee was very good too. The service was prompt and friendly. There are tables outside and plenty inside in the aircon.

Loved loved this cafe! So worth the stopover on my way up to Brisbane. This cafe was highly recommended by friends who advised anything on menu will be good and they were 100%. Got the salt and pepper squid on salad and iced coffee. Wished I got a bag of beans to takeaway! The staff were so friendly and the food came in a good time. I stayed here for an hour and was refreshed.

A good place to stop by if you’re in the area! I’m not a coffee drinker but everyone I went with loved the coffee! As for the chai latte, I ordered it extra hot- “piping burn your mouth hot” were my words- and it came out warm… the second time also was a miss. It was also verrrrry sweet- almost like ginger bread… so if you’re not into an uber sweet chai- maybe think about another drink! The salad of the day was good but a bit on the oily side. This is just a personal preference but when I’m going for a salad, I’m trying to make a healthy choice which means a little less on the oily side would’ve been my preference. Overall, lovely staff and good vibes! I’d recommend booking too!!

Bustling, bussin’, brilliant coffee roastery in riverside Maclean. Amazing coffee and fantastic cafe meals and snacks. Perfect stop on the road north/south or destination in its own right. We always call in here!

Absolutely gorgeous spot! From the bridge to the bird life in the water, the fountain to the beautiful array of different colourful trees, this is such a beautiful place for a picnic or just to stretch your legs and let the kids run around on the playground!

Nice park, small pond with ducks. Children's playground and picnic area as well. Definitely worth a visit.

A very iconic place with purple tree throughout the road. Nice and calm. They have festival called jacaranda every year around the end of October to the beginning November.

Well maintained. Very pretty. Public toilets could be updated and kept cleaner.

Visited See Park end of October 2019 when jacaranda trees are blooming. A great family picnic location. Nice walk around the park. On a beautiful sunny day, you might even get to see 4 legged friends aka goanna lizards sunbaking. You can find some great photo spots within the park and nearby roads. I love visiting Grafton between mid October to early November as the town turns people with beautiful blossoming jacaranda everywhere.

We always visit Grafton especially see park every Jacaranda season and its worth it everytime.

You can see a lot of Jacaranda in this parks in spring. Very beautiful

Best spot for exploring the rock pools and it’s a great swimming beach as well on the camping side of the rocks. Often see surfers enjoying themselves with decent waves, people fishing, swimming, playing on the sand, great spot for dolphin spotting and whale watching when it’s in season.

These camping grounds are excellent. My 10 year old also prefers this, over a recent big 4 camp ground (even with all the rides and activities these big 4 parks have to offer). It's a relaxing break in nature with fires allowed and kangaroos for your camping buddies. You can surf, take your 4WD for a run on some good tracks (out better still your motor bike as in my case), or fish of that's your thing. Management is chilled, amenities are are well serviced. It's cheap too.

Beautiful place ,highly recommend it for camping or even for the day tripers.

Fantastic beach views with relaxing camping for families or just a weekend away with/without the kids. Party groups and reunions. Great place. Always has been our favourite place since our children were small. Grandkids love it too.

Didn't even know this place existed but holy crap the views from up here are good. Site is really well maintained and the drive up is also quite pleasant. Treetops is also up here which is great for the kids, just be mindful it can be busy on the school holidays.

The view of the Pacific Ocean and Coffs harbour city from the forest pier is really exhilarating. This elevated platform gives you Birds Eye view of the valley. This place has the amenities such as ample car parking, toilet and a gazebo like structure where people can sit and enjoy their food. There is no any coffee shop or refreshment shop in this area so being your food and drinks. Moreover, if you got a binocular please take to get a close view of the foothills.

Beautiful lookout with a suspension "pier" hanging over the edge. Very nicely updated with the environment in mind. The cafe was closed but it looked like a great spot for a picnic with plenty of tables scattered about. Bring cash and keep an eye out for the little vege stalls on the road up selling avocados and bananas!

Ive been here before in summer and came again years later with my daughter.. make sure you read the signs to get to this lication as the road works have made it hard with signage to follow. Google maps even had trouble navigating to get proper firections due to the terrible road works. Once you are there the biews are spectacular. It is a little windy on the road coming up to it. Winding through the banana plantation and the state forest on the other side. There is a small cafe at the top for coffee tea hot chocolate and small snacks. Further back on the road there is tree hopping. Its a must see location as it is very pretty . The area is very clean and its free . No problems with parking.

Beautiful views and lovely pier/bridge. Loads of parking and there is a toilet nearby. Cafe was not open today.

Steep drive up the hill for a great view. On way down saw 2 bikeriders pedalling up. Not for us.

Breathtaking views from up to the top. You can take your car till the lookout point. We did the smallest 35 min trail, I believe the Gumgali track that goes from the the left of the lizard's picture near the treetop adventure. It was a short, quiet and nice walk to a beautiful lookout point.

Stopped here for a break on our way back to Sydney. There's so much to do here for all ages, you could spend the whole day here! It's one giant fun park! The souvenir shop is packed with all sorts of goodies ranging from hats, soft toys, cups, pens, stickers, key rings, fridge magnets, t-shirts, stationary items, tea towels etc. Cafe has a good variety of hot and cold food, drinks, milkshakes, and snacks. Plenty of parking.

An entire day well spent last wk. Bought the Ultimate Pass for the family online. Rocked up before ticket box/activities opened to get a good car park. Thankfully, NSW school holidays hadn't yet started so wasn't too busy. Took the entire day to be able to experience all activities included in the Ultimate Pass, including saving the Arcade Room till after 4pm when all other areas had closed. Only downers were: 1 the expensive meals, 2 the Toboggan wasn't open, and 3 the ice skates were too narrow. Even after going up a size, had to regularly sit down and take the weight off. Will need to return when the Toboggan opens.

We had an awesome day at The Big Banana Fun Park – fantastic facilities, plenty of fun, and most of the staff were absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, our experience was dampened by an encounter with the café manager, Tanya. I have a coconut allergy, and I could clearly detect traces of coconut (likely from cross-contamination with previous flavours). Rather than showing any concern, understanding, or basic duty of care, Tanya was immediately hostile, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She refused to offer a replacement, refund, or even acknowledge the potential seriousness of the situation, and her attitude was both unprofessional and unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. As former café owners, we know exactly what good customer service looks like and this was the complete opposite. In any hospitality setting, especially when it comes to allergies, empathy and responsibility are non-negotiable. Thankfully, duty manager James went above and beyond to resolve the situation. He handled everything with professionalism, ensured we were looked after, and even gave my little one a bag of bananas for the long trip home to Brisbane - such a thoughtful gesture! It’s thanks to the rest of the fantastic team members and James’ outstanding service that this review is 4 stars instead of 1. They truly turned a negative situation into a positive experience, and we’re incredibly grateful for their care and professionalism. 👏🍌

Timed season / play time can we , depending on numbers, well worth it or a little disappointing. Wait times for a slide can exceed 30min or so. Given 2 hours, 2 - 4 slides can be a maximum. But for smaller kids or kids who enjoy the splash area, 2 hours for the price is well worth it. There is a lot to do overall at the big banana if you have the time and the funds. But it is definitely worth visiting If your not willing to wait a while, or pay the price for meals, its easily enough to bring your own.

This is a perfect fun park for the family with kids, as parents can join with them and have fun. I saw the kids really enjoying all the rides . However, if you are solo, or young couple without kids you guys may feel boredom as there is nothing to make your adrenaline rushing. Adults, they surely enjoy the self guided tour through the banana plantations. Staff are really courteous, good accessibility from highway, ample parking facilities are really good.

If you are visiting Coffs harbour and travelling with kids... this is where you want to be! There is a plethora of fun activities and games especially for the kids here. Of course, if you are enthusiastic about banana trees/plantation etc then there's plenty here for adults too. We stopped by here for a short visit during our road trip from QLD to Melbourne. It was amazing to see the kids enjoying themselves especially in the gaming arcade area. Souvenir shop, cafe and clean wash rooms are also available here along with plenty of free parking.

My Wife and myself visited the Banana Plantation here was a self guided tour that took about 30 minutes, where you see all the banana plants and learn about the history here at the big banana. Enjoyed our tour here and definitely recommend the visit great to learn about the history of the big banana. Family friendly place to visit too.

Great accomodation, good location close to shops, beaches and tourist attractions in Coffs Harbour. Clog barn was great nice Dutch themed place and amount of work to make look like it does is amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone to visit and stay very budget friendly too! My wife and myself enjoyed our stay here

We visited the pit stop attraction of house figurines & cafe. It is very admirable that the owners put so much care and thought into this shop. It is very calm and well maintained. P.S. the lizards are real ! Not statues 🦎😬

We are staying in Sawtell and spent the day doing some of the tourist things around Coffs Harbour. Called in for a look, lots of clogs, Christmas items, German clocks and the usual tourist bits and bobs. Able to grab meals and walk through the garden with awesome miniature buildings and train track. There's a caravan park attached as well.

Loved it. $45 for campervan, powered and choice of grass or slab. It's a very small friendly park in Coffs Harbour, basic, but clean. Wifi works, fast enough to stream. Parks tend to blur into each other after travelling a long time, however this one's so unique I'll remember it forever. The miniature village, free to visit, is well worth visiting even if you don't stay.

We didn't stay in the hotel but did visit the clog barn. It's a lovely place and a lot of work has gone into it. We really enjoyed it! Definitely worth a visit. It's a little tricky to get to without a car but 20 minutes walk from the city centre

Well worth the visit. The village models were great and well tended. Food and coffee at the cafe was very good. Coffee, was very hot, so let it cool.

Stopped on my way from QLD to Sydney after a recommendation from Crossfire a colleague I work with who has stopped here with her family a couple of times, I stopped for breakfast (pancake 1/2 serve) which was amazing then went for a walk around the little gardens and shop

A must do in Coffs Harbour, we love this place. Still looks the same as when I brought my kids 15 yrs ago & very reasonable entrance fee which all goes to looking after these wonderful sea personalities. We chose to go on a very rainy day & had the park almost to ourselves but hence got very wet. The staff are so passionate & caring for the marine & do alot of rescue on the East Coast. All talks were very insightful, such a fantastic opportunity for us all to fall in love even more with our marine creatures.

Loved learning more about the turtle rehabilitation. The dolphin show was beautiful but miss the seal show that they use to have. The penguins were so cute! Great work Wildlife Sanctuary. We never tire from visiting!

Absolutely fantastic experience and an absolute fantastic reason why they operate. What they do is so crucial for marine wildlife. All money is worth going to experience this non for profit organisation.

What a great find! It's a small-ish venue - you can see everything in a under two hours - but being small allows it to be much more intimate. You're closer to the animals, and the close encounter experiences are amazing. We saw another family doing the penguin encounter, and we did the dolphin encounters. One note - they charge extra for photos (which given the prices seems exorbitant), so make sure to take your own

We had a great day. It’s a small place with lots of great shows for a half day. Staff were lovely and everyone gets a turn. We fed, played and pat the dolphins and they are so close and really engaging. My kids teenagers loved this as much as I did 30 years ago. Highly recommended.

Coffs Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful animal sanctuary. The ticket is very reasonable for the experience, and knowing it’s a non-profit makes it even more special. The dolphin show was awesome—they were playful and cheeky, moving eagerly from their lagoon to the performance pool, clearly excited to show off their talents. The staff are passionate and caring, and every visit supports the sanctuary’s important work protecting these amazing animals.

We walked from the Visitors Centre to The Glade and back late in the afternoon. Not too many people and a great array of rainforest birds, including several displaying Superb Lyrebirds, Noisy Pitta, Logrunner, Wompoo Fruit-dove and Green Catbird, plus an Echidna. The Visitors Centre has a good display and an excellent gift shop, but the cafe is closed.

A beautiful park , sunrise boardwalk is one of the highlights of this park . There are no entry fee but A$2 donation to support the national park so please carry some gold coin for a good cause . There are two nice waterfalls and one waterfall is accessible to play in the waters . Great place to visit.

Beautiful day trip location. Walking track was sealed and a fairly easy walk. Enjoyed the tour on offer also. Picturesque views and tranquil picnic spot.

Dorrigo NP is well worth a visit to experience the ancient forests. We found there was time in a day to do both the sub-tropical Wonga walk to the beautiful Crystal Springs waterfall and a section of the Blackbutt temperate forest walk. As well as a picnic at the Glade and a loiter around the information centre. All up a wonderful day. The forests are amazing, especially the Titanic-sized fallen giants along the Blackbutt trail.

A great parkland, but not at its best at the moment. Unfortunately the Cafe and a loop of the rainforest walk were closed. It will be great again once these things are restored.

The old Butter Factory Bellingen The Old Butter Factory is a truly special place. The atmosphere is warm, rustic, and full of character — a definite 5 out of 5. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from start to finish. That’s another solid 5 stars. The food was delicious and well-presented, earning a strong 4 out of 5. While the menu could offer a bit more variety, everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. A standout highlight was the Cargo Lane shop. It’s beautifully curated with unique furniture, homewares, and gifts. Well worth a visit on its own. Highly recommend the Old Butter Factory for a relaxed, memorable experience.

My partner and I love visiting The Old Butter Factory Cafe whenever we’re in town. The food is amazing and the coffee is outstanding. Truly some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. The atmosphere is always lovely, and the staff are so polite, kind, and efficient. We were mostly looked after by who we suspect is the owner/manager, and he was such a pleasure! Very friendly, talkative, and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend!

We recently celebrated my mum’s 90th birthday in the function room at The Old Butter Factory, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — just the right blend of charm and celebration. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful; every guest commented on how delicious it was! A special thank you to Dan, who was incredibly helpful and personal throughout the planning process. Nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was taken care of beautifully. Everything we needed was right there — we truly couldn’t have asked for more. It was a wonderful day and a celebration to remember. Highly recommend The Old Butter Factory for any special occasion!

Stopped her for a coffee and some morning tea and was blown away. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. The coffee was well made, and we had scones, and they are easily some of the best in have ever eaten. It's a beautiful cafe in a beautiful town.

This is our go-to place when staying in the area. Flat whites are dreamy, menu is outstanding, service with a smile. I always sneak in a pastry or two and maybe even a gelato!

Great food service and value Only problem is the honey containers, it’s a real waste of plastic and it’s not hard to get a bit of honey. Hopefully they change that. The shops around the factory are really cool.

We visited the Nambucca head on the way back to Sydney. Wow it got breath taking ocean view and the V wall walk is so memorable. We shall bring the colours and preparing our own design to revisit this site in the near future.

Wall was amazing great to see all the painting on the rocks. Not quite sure who and why they were painted. There were memorial plagues of people that had passed away which was a little confronting but all good. Fishing there was pretty ordinary really, the current was really strong tide going out and even when it started to come back in the afternoon it was still quite strong. Lots of snags in the water so lost a few lines and jigs trying the wall. Would recommend to check out the tide before you go and attempt the wall. No one else caught anything either in several hours. Overall though it is a beautiful spot for a picnic a quick swim etc. Recommend visit if your in Nambucca Heads for sure.

Beautiful place to visit and relax. You can enjoy a nice walk and it’s quite interesting to see where the river meets the ocean. The beach is lovely and peaceful and perfect for a holiday or a quick stop during a road trip. Definitely worth a detour.

Great place to walk wall and lots of interesting rocks. You can also break the walk by taking the side track across to Shelley Beach. A further side track takes to Wellington which can make a circuit. You have to back track from Shelley a short while. The wall is an easy 3.6km walk along foreshore.

Nambucca Heads NSW is such a awesome little spot to visit And visiting the wall,with all the great artwork on the rocks was great to see. Plenty of parking Toilets Plenty of tables and seating for a BBQ. We highly recommend visiting the wall.👍🇦🇺

Beautiful and long walk along the water with thousands of colourful, well painted rocks lining the shore. Saw the biggest and closest pod of dolphins I've ever seen in my life towards the end, playing in the waves. Must do if anywhere in the area

I had no idea about the history behind this gaol and how interesting it was. It is a beautiful location with stunning views and some resident kangaroos! If you are lucky and there at the right time you may even see whales! Well worth a visit!

What an extraordinary place. Trial Bay Gaol took my breath away. The view alone is worth the visit… the bluest ocean stretching endlessly beneath you, wrapped in fresh sea air that feels like a gift. 🌊✨ There’s a kind of energy here that’s hard to explain…. the kind you’d love to bottle up and keep forever. The architecture, the history, the wild beauty surrounding it… it all weaves together to create something truly special. I honestly don’t know why this place isn’t more well known, but I’m so grateful I got to experience it. It’s one of those rare places that lingers with you long after you leave.

11 dollars entry, which I thought was very reasonable. You have the opportunity to have a look in the small museum at the entry. Then you can walk around the goal at your own pace. Make your way up the watchtower for awesome views. The cells are open to walk inside as well as the quiet cells.

Stunning, old ruins kept in pristine condition. Very much worth the modest entry price. Views forever. An interesting part of Australias history. Don't miss the museum!

Fun couple of hours if you are visiting South West Rocks. The Gail has a rich convict history as well as being used as an internment camp for Germans during the First World War. Great views of the bay from the top of the guard house. Watch the short film before you go in, for a brief history of the gaol.

one of the best highlights for a road trip! An awesome place to visit with a fascinating historical background. The site offers a pretty cool experience and is definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the area.

We visited the historic gaol site for a while however it was so windy that it was hard to walk, 80 km gusts driving huge waves on the ocean. The stone walls built by convicts are still standing strong but there are few roofs left. The display panels tell a lot of stories of the prison system of the time and of the time when German prisoners were interned in WW1 as enemy aliens The site is well worth visiting

An unforgettable diving experience at South West Rocks! We had an incredible time diving with the team at South West Rocks Diving. A huge shoutout to Dodgy Joe and a special mention to sophie(aka Sarah), who took us on an awesome dive — his energy, knowledge, and sense of humour made the whole experience even better. He and Sophie went above and beyond to make my partner feel completely comfortable and confident in the water, which made all the difference. The dive itself was absolutely stunning — vis was not the best but still an amazing dive, heaps of marine life, an abundance of sharks and a super relaxed, friendly vibe from start to finish. Can’t recommend this place enough — we’ll definitely be back for more dives with Joe and the crew! P. S. Forgot his name but the skipper of the viper was also a great guy and made the whole 2 days.

The best run dive shop on the East Coast of Australia, and arguably the premier dive site too. Peter & Kevin are always friendly and helpful, with a great support cast in Mick, Cody & Lauren. Their dive briefs are accurate and their local knowledge of conditions absolutely spot on, with safety always the first consideration with the dive group's capability in mind. We have dived with them 3 years running and cannot recommend them highly enough. This is a bucket list dive location; so many grey nurses, huge marble ray, big cod in the cave, and schools of fish throughout.

One of the best experiences that is semi close to Sydney, the dive team were professional and took 2 boats out at a time. The cave was amazing. Special thanks to our dive master Andy.

If there were a 10-star option, I’d give the team a solid 10! We went diving on the Viper with Pete, Matt, Gavin, and Mick — and they were fantastic. The crew struck the perfect balance between professionalism and fun, making us feel completely safe and relaxed even in challenging conditions. The first day was a bit tough due to the aftermath of a storm, but the team kept the mood upbeat and turned it into a great time. By the second day, the ocean had calmed, and it was incredible — sharks, stingrays, dolphins, whales, seals, and more. Easily one of the best dive trips I’ve had in Australia. Snacks between the dives were great (especially the instant soup menu ;) )Top-notch service, great people, and unforgettable dives. Highly recommended!

I recently did a double dive tour of fish rock with SWR Dive Centre, and I can’t praise their dive team highly enough. The crew of the Orca including skipper Kevin, and dive leaders Lily, Emma and Cody were incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. The site is undeniably beautiful and unique, but it is not a simple dive, with strong currents, the cave, and lots of distractions for divers in the way of wildlife. Despite all this, we always felt that we were well prepared and in good hands. All their rental equipment was top notch and suited for the dive. We also stayed at their convenient divers lodge, which was very spacious and a really good cost effective option for the night before a dive. We saw plenty of grey nurse sharks, an abundance of diverse fish life, wobbegongs, eels, black cod, crayfish, and with October being the start of pelagic shark season for the area some divers got a glimpse of a hammerhead or two (I was not so lucky). In transit to and from the dive site the crew stopped the boat to watch some breaching whales. Overall an incredible and unique diving experience and I’d recommend to anyone with an open water certification or above. (I have open water certification with approx 30 dives)

We had an excellent experience with the team here. They are so professional and friendly. We were really well looked after throughout the whole experience. A couple of our group were quite sea sick and they were so helpful. When we got back to the shop they allowed us to have showers at the shop (as we were camping that night) which was very handy. And not to mention the actual diving was incredible!! Has to be one of the best dive sites in Aus!!

Fish Rock Cave was the dive that wouldn't be (this time!)... Visiting my niece out here in Australia, I came across SWRD for the potentiality of diving the famed cave site. I contacted the shop and spoke with Kevin... This review is not about the dive as it never came to fruition - this review is about the professionalism, attention to detail & personal safety as well as the providing of information from dive temps. to how to get there from Sydney. I want to thank Kevin for his honest opinion through experience and expertise - as my niece is not experienced enough for such a dive/site. I was promptly refunded the deposit and wished well. What a beautiful spot! The views are amazing and the hike was very do-able and while steep both my wife and I had no problems. We love historic places like lighthouses. There was even a local sunning near the accommodation. 🦘

Absolutely stunning view with views of the whales jumping around. You can stand for ages watching them play. Didn't see a way to get into the lighthouse itself and tour the inside of the lighthouse. The hill up is definitely steep but only a short walk really. I just took a few breaks as a severe Asthmatic.

The lighthouse is part of the national park area. About 7 Km's from the main road to the old gaol. It's a steep walk from the carpark so be prepared. Great views make it worthwhile.

Smokey Cape Lighthouse is a short drive from the main road. Plenty of parking. Accessible parking available. The walk upto the Lighthouse is steep but the views are spectacular. There's walking tracks to the beach. There's an open area with picnic tables and toilets on the upper grassed area above the carpark over looking the beach in the distance it's family friendly. It is accessible by walking up a few stairs or walking closer to the top of the carpark to get on the path. This place is gorgeous. Views for miles. Well worth taking the trip. There is also accommodation here. And a gorgeous bush walk to the gaol. Kangaroos as well. Very peaceful.

Beautiful location for whale watching. Just a steep walk to the lighthouse, so would not recommend for wheelchair users or prams. 🐳🐳🐳

Great little museum, some sections were under renovation so unable to see it as a whole but definitely recommend for any fan of Slim Dusty.

A great collection of the father of Australian Country music. Loved seeing his hats and guitars and some famous suits from photos I’ve seen. Well worth a visit.

Have passed by many times but decided to visit last week. Wonderful place. So much history of Slim Dusty and memorabilia. Family have donated his Golden Guitars, gold and platinum record awards, lots of photos, guitars etc, there is a movie and This is your Life recordings. Love the stage costumes and props. One of his old cars and a restored caravan are there too.... a lovely Cafe too! Well worth the visit

Crescent head lookout is short drive from town. Walk onto the headland for pictures. Or walk 700m along the trail to the beach below. Parking for 3 cars and 2 accessible spaces or park along side of access road at front. Accessible parking but trails are not that suitable for Accessibility. Unfortunately there are no toilets. It was fully overcast when we arrived but as we walked glimmer of sunshine made their way through the clouds. The wildflowers were in rare form including wattle, bottle brush and paper daisies. They were quite a number of people there that were just quietly enjoying the time overlooking the ocean with the intense waves. The highlight, were the whales that were feeding off the coast. Unfortunately, they were too far away for my phone camera to take any photos.

They were doing maintenance and some areas got fenced off when we went there on 25 Dec 2021. Didn’t have toilets. But the view is pretty nice. Would recommend finishing these maintenance matters and adding a few amenities such as public toilets and shaded sitting areas. You actually have the space for these things.

Breathtaking! Go, take a seat and just marvel at it!!! Then go swim in the river and the beach breaks are amazing!!! Great for families too -I am making this a place to revisit for sure. Locals are very friendly and also possibility of SUP hiring and good choice for cafes after walk/swim.

Nice lookout with beautiful views, but nothing too special about it. There are a few parking spots, one picnic table and a bin available. There is a short walk from the parking area to more views.

Walked through the various grass tracks. Stunning. No guard rails and huge drop offs, so not suitable for little kids. Fairly flat walk though and fantastic views
