Great place if you visit Coober Pedy. There's a free museum with a lot of interesting information and a paid tour which we would highly recommend. Our tour guide Zoe was great. She had plenty of information about living underground and opal mining even adding in some really interesting and funny personal stories. We also rented UV lights here to go noodling in the public pit. The next day we came back to hand back the torches and to let them have a look at our rocks (some had a bit of opal). His explanation about what we found and what we could do with it was great as we had no clue what we found exactly. All in all highly recommended this place if you're in Coober Pedy!
Lex E — Google review
This is a Must-visit attraction in Coober Pedy. Everything you need to know about Opals is here in this beautiful museum cum opal jewellery store. The entrance to the venue is free. There are guided tours with informative movies which operate 2-3 times daily and need booking. There's a huge amount of rich history of opal mining, works of traditional arts, paintings, depictions of cultural heritages and so on... exhibited everywhere you look, from showcases to all the walls of this underground museum. There's a jewellery shop located within, which sells varieties of opal jewelleries, paintings & souvenirs, etc. Incidentally, there's also a coffee machine located inside the jewellery store area, where you can grab a quick coffee/tea while looking around. But there ain't any toilets/wash rooms inside this venue. So when you arrive here, make sure you are not in a Rush! Thankfully, there are a few emergency exits though 🤣

I dare say every person who comes to this quirky town will visit this museum, and so they should, it is a lovely experience. For the life of me I will never understand why they don’t charge for entry, no one would blink to do so nor complain after! There is a tour that you must go on. We had the delightful Zoe who described her childhood, school, work, home, partner and general life here. It was. privilege to hear the absolute inside knowledge into growing up and living in this town. An excellent way to spend 2-3 hours.

Excellent museum and a must visit when in Coober Pedy. There's lots to see and interpretation to read as free entry. There's also a great mine tour and rooms of a traditional, and modern dug out. Our guide was very informative and it was fun to hear about how 80% of the population live in dugouts. We also did the Old Timers Mine tour and these complemented each other and were quite different. Very enjoyable. Our 4 kids loved it!
Lara — Google review
Guided tour was fantastic, tour guide was very friendly and informative. Loved seeing the modern day and older dugouts. Museum also has some great information and displays

Great place to learn about the history of one of the nature’s greatest creations in the world. Very interesting place and very lovely kind staff. Special thanks to our lovely Museum tour guide (her name starts with “Z” 😉) She explained so many interesting things about Coober Pedy & Opals and we instantly fell in love with that dry red desert 🏜️. The people we met were very friendly and so kind.. Already decided to visit back and hoping to see those beautiful nice friends and places again.. Thanks again for such a wonderful hospitality & welcoming us warmly.. - from T’gon Vic- 😇
Nipuni J — Google review
Well set up museum related to history of Opal production with plenty of free parking. Nothing free about their product range though with highly elevated prices for just about anything in their Opal and Jewelery shop. The Lady shop manager is a most unfriendly person, not well suited to her role Great for a look but I would look else where in town to secure your Gem purchases. Tour bus drivers have always enjoyed comissions here, how ever this occured under previous management but is quite possibly still the case. Go for the free of charge displays but look more towardsshops like "Opalios and Star Opal" for great Opal , fossil and Jewelery purchases.

Such a great place to explore and get insight into the old mining practices in Coober Pedy. Tours are self guided and there is lots to see and the interpretation is very interesting. Kids had a ball finding all the different spots and reading the signs etc. No good if you have mobility issues - there are a few very low spots too that require bending over to walk through. Very interesting to see the old dug out house all set up too. Gift shop on site and very friendly staff. We also visited the Umoona mine and it's with doing both as they are quite different experiences.
Lara — Google review
Great value for money and such a good way to learn about the history of Opal mining in Coober Pedy, while walking through a real underground mine. Owner very informative. Really enjoyed our visit and then fossicking in the pit out the front for our own little pieces of Opal. Highly recommend this place for everyone!

Ample parking, nice noodling pit outside, kids were able to find some nice stones. Self guided tour, well laid out and numbered. Lots of things to see. We spent about an hour inside. Good souvenir selection from affordable to eye opening.

Such an amazing little experience. Only $15 to explore the original mines, how they were formed and used back when they were first opened. A tour Into the homes that are carved into rock and also souvenir shop with some stunning jewellery

A great way to see an underground mine and living quarters, with an interesting display of historical information. The friendly hosts made us very welcome, lots of opal jewellery for sale, as well as souvenirs. A very nice museum and exemple of troglodyte house can be also visited.

The guided tour takes guests through Faye's living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, providing insight into the local lifestyle. The tour also includes a visit to an opal mine and an opal cutting demonstration. Visitors highly recommend this unique attraction for its informative tour and fascinating insights into the life of Faye during the 70s.
Absolutely fascinating story of a woman's survival and how she positively thrived in what must have been a male dominated, tough mining town. Kudos to her! And the stylish and imaginative home she designed and built stands as a testament to her strength and free spirit. 💜
EFSA K — Google review
Faye's Underground Home was the first Coober Pedy venue that I visited and was a hit; highly recommended. Their entry fee is reasonable and commentary is very informative. A lot of history is revealed about one of the town's notable people.
Niaoulis — Google review
Loved Faye’s!!!! The tour guide was fabulous, the underground home and adjoining mine told with the personal story of fabulous Faye in the raging 70’s along with accompanying photos provided a brilliant experience. We were a family of mum dad and a 7 year old and each one of us thought it was a top notch experience. We would highly recommend getting to see this while you are in Coober Pedy. Top 3 for sure- loved it!!!

Fully functional underground 1960s era home. Well presented. Clean. Different perspective of life in Coober Pedy.

Absolutely mindblowing what this woman achieved to build her home by hand with the help of her two amazing friends. Also everything else this lady achieved. What a machine. Thanks to Frida our tour guide who gave amazing account when you arrive of the life of Faye. Frida was so interesting to listen to and animated when she spoke. It was awesome to hear the stories. Then walking around Fayes Underground home which is brilliant and awe inspiring.
Sandy B — Google review
Very informative tour, definitely a good value for small money! The guide is very knowledgeable and passionate in explaining everything. The tour includes a visit to opal mine and also opal cutting demonstration! The ticket can be purchased from Opal Cave Shop with the Space Ship infront.

I just visited and it is truly the most amazing story about 3 women who achieved big , I have ever heard. I am so impressed and can not recommend this place enough. It is education and pure awareness about what you can be capable of when you have a strong will and mindset. Its just eye opening and impressive. Thank you to the lady with all her knowledge who told us the fascinating story ❤️❤️❤️
Laura P — Google review
For us, this was the highlight of our 2 nights stay in Coober Pedy. Hearing of what and how Faye and her friends accomplished was the best apart from one thing that was even better. Frieda (the weekday host) is the real hidden gem of Coober Pedy. Her insights to not only Faye’s home but to the history of Coober Pedy were Captivating. We could’ve spent the whole day with Frida But the last time did not allow. Get her talking and she may even let a few town secrets slip…. She was an absolute cack!!! If you do nothing else in Coober Pedy Make sure you go visit Frida!!

Whyalla Maritime Museum

Museum

Military Museums
I recently took the kids and my wife to see the maritime museum. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, with plenty of things to look at for everyone. You have guided tours of the HMAS Whyalla, a Corvette Class minesweeper that you can wander through, and get all the history from the guides. We had Liz, and she was great, with adults and kids alike. They were trialling a kids treasure hunt when we went, so my 2 boys, both 9 years old, got to find different symbols scattered along the tour and into the museum area itself. Once in the museum building, you are treated to various rooms with different displays, including scale models of the ships that were built in Whyalla. An aboriginal cultural room with local indigenous artifacts. A second World War area, showing some of the uniforms that they wore, plus information about the crews that manned the minesweepers built in Whyalla. Finally, you are treated to a railway model setting that shows the journey from the mines in the Middleback Ranges, right through to the Whyalla Steelworks area. Well worth a visit.
Mark M — Google review
There were 5 of us - two children and four adults and we all loved it. We had missed the tour of the Whyalla but Madeleine (Maddy) offered us a tour as we weren’t going to be there the next day. The tour was well worth doing, the Museum terrific and the grounds very well set out. We would highly recommend and thank you Maddy!
Sigy M — Google review
Nice place to visit in Whyalla. It’s about armed ship 🚢 used in military purposes. Nice history explaining by guide in the museum. Charging around $35 per head. Inside was informative and curious. Nice experience 😍
Sampath A — Google review
When i visited 21 August i checked the website first as the tours are only certain times. I booked the day before on the site but at the time of visit the ship was closed for maintanence, the website does let you know. You can do a virtual tour, so for any place best to check ahead to make sure of times etc. I have visited before here. But it's always nice for a look. The staff are very friendly. Very informative and helpful. And a good selection of souvenirs. I do love the museum here to as you can find really interesting stuff here about the ship and of other things. You'll need to come here to find out more.
Robert S — Google review
The tour of the ship was a standout of our trip to Whyalla. We booked a tour on a whim when our cuttlefish snorkel was pushed back a day and our guide Madelyn really brought the ship and its history to life. Amazing to think of the sailors living conditions in the cramped quarters and the wonderful work that the ship did locating and detonating mines during the war.
Sara B — Google review
Great place for a visit the museum is cool and the trains are great. The best thing is the boat tour really great info and a good idea of what sea life was like.
Daniel T — Google review
Rod was a great guide for the ship tour, he was passionate about the ship and the connection it had with Whyalla. It was good to see how life was on board the WW2 vessel. The tours run at 11:30 am and 01:30pm from the info centre and run for 45- 60 minutes, you may need to book ahead as there was only 10 spots available with people waiting. You can visit the maritime museum afterwards with well maintained grounds.
Thomas T — Google review
If you have the chance to go on the tour of the ship Whyalla I recommend it. Tour guide was very informative. Loved the experience of walking through this ship and learning a piece of our history.

This is an amazing museum. It has a working turn table with the 3 Aussie rail guages and steam train wheel weighbridge. The great thing about the museum though is you can access the trains and carriages. Fantastic history. Allow 2 hours for the guided tour.

Absolutely brilliant. Shirley our tour guide was very informative and lovely! Well worth the tour if you’re stopping in. We will be back in the future to do the night light show
Jess F — Google review
A very good evening show was put on which cost $30, and I was able to take my dog. It gave a detailed explanation of how the railway started and how Peterborough became so important. I couldn’t help wonder how anyone got anything clean with so many steam trains pumping out smoke all day! 😂 It was a good movie and light show, nicely done. Plenty of parking and toilets on site
Paul S — Google review
Fascinating look into the days of steam train travel and the major part that Peterborough played in it. Highly recommend the guided tour in the day time and the light and sound show at night.

Outside sheds are by guided tour only. It's worth it The old carriage rolling stock interior worth the looking at CR locomotives ex Ghan especially
Michael L — Google review
Great collection of historic buildings and rail cars and locomotives. It's a bit sad that nothing is alive any more since they no longer have access to track to run trains. Knowledgeable guide with continuous tour around the site so you can join at any time with little wait. Timing didn't allow us to attend the light and sound show but I have heard it is very good.

Living Desert State Park, located just 12 kilometers north of Broken Hill city center, is a 180-hectare sanctuary showcasing the stunning natural beauty of outback Australia. The park features twelve impressive sandstone sculptures and a diverse display of local flora including unique wildflowers. Visitors can explore various walking tracks to immerse themselves in the park's rich fauna and flora.
A must do attraction at Broken Hill. Living Desert State Park is stunning at sunset. Entry is $10 per person (not based per vehicle). There are many walking trails to take advantage of here with wildflower gardens before driving up to the carpark near the sculptures walk. Time it just on sunset for the best photos at to get the iconic sun setting through the hole sculpture shot. Lots of people quietly enjoying the sunset, seeing the solar powered windmills in the distance and cracking open a tinnie! So ironically Australian. Left soon after the sun dipped as I was nervous about the roads leading out which were soon becoming pitch black with the risk of wildlife on the roads. Take it slow and stay vigilant.
Timeshare C — Google review
Nicely set out. The Sculptures are good for the purpose of visual ascetics and well positioned on the top of the hill that is accessible by car. There is a well laid out walking track (grade 2) to the lower fauna and aboriginal exhibits... it also has bbqs and picnik area. This is a return track to get back to your car from the top Sculptures. The alternative is to drive to the Fauna and Aboriginal exhibits and treck up to the Sculptures. Sunset time is amazing at the Top Sculptures Site. Stop and pay your entry fee at the automated teller booth.
Richard C — Google review
Amazing at sunset. Quite a spiritual experience amongst the sculptures and looking out across the vast landscape. Well worth the drive out.
Jenni G — Google review
Love it up here celebrating the sunset. All of the sculptures take on different colours throughout the sunset. Beautiful place.
Mary-Anne V — Google review
The locality is brilliant, the sunset is beautiful but those sculptures, apart from a couple of exceptions, are quite rubbish. The in situ geology is far more interesting.
David M — Google review
A great walk, including a loop through the flora section. So much to see, you do need to set aside a couple of hours to fully immerse yourself in the cultural aspects as well flora, rock formations etc. There are toikets, rest stops & a water drinking station.
Wendy D — Google review
Great out of the way place. You would need a 4 wheel vehicle if it rains ( which doesn’t happen often) 😂
Alison G — Google review
The sculptures are really awesome. The drive out is a bit long and the road is very narrow and quite steep towards the car park. The sunset is out of this world. However, be aware that when you leave there will be lots of wildlife on the side of the road and on the road, especially kangaroos - so be very careful and be hyper vigilant when leaving around/after sunset.

The Pro Hart Gallery in Broken Hill, an old mining town, pays homage to the renowned artist who became a leading figure in Outback painting. Pro Hart's artistic vision was shaped by his experiences working on a sheep farm and in the mines, which inspired his narrative art depicting outback life. The gallery showcases many of his iconic works, including scenes of shearing, station hands, miners, and dragonflies.
Review: Pro Hart – A True Aussie Treasure What an absolutely talented man Pro Hart was. His work is nothing short of extraordinary — rich in colour, energy, and storytelling. Each painting captures the essence of Australian life with a unique mix of humour, emotion, and striking detail. From his iconic outback scenes to his experimental pieces using unconventional materials, Pro Hart’s creativity knew no bounds. He didn’t just paint; he brought stories to life on canvas, making art that’s both relatable and deeply moving. Visiting his gallery or viewing his work is a reminder of how one man’s passion and perspective can capture the spirit of a nation. A true Aussie legend and a rare talent whose legacy continues to inspire.

OMG always admired the talent of this amazing person and to visit his gallery was a joy. More than I expected. Don't miss out on his sculptures across the road

A visit to Broken Hill would not be complete without going to the Pro Hart Gallery. And it was an easy 30 minute walk from town. Don’t miss the sculpture park across the Road, it’s so peaceful and all worth the visit. I also took a detour to Julie Harts Gallery on the way back.
Catherine S — Google review
It was an honour to finally be able to visit his home and gallery. $5 adults, $3 seniors and pensioners, children free. So good! Don't forget to go across the road and see his sculptures. That is free!

Fantastically presented gallery/ museum. Brilliant art of course, but nothing pretentious. Lots to look at and take in over the 3 levels. Friendly, helpful and engaging staff.
Monique S — Google review
My favourite activity in Broken Hill. The Pro Hart Art Gallery is just out of town, plenty of street parking and only $5 for adults and $3 for kids / seniors to get in. Was wonderful seeing Pro Hart's old house and art studio (which is left in original condition). It is interesting to see his earlier works which were quite conservative and quintessentially captured Australian scenes like at the beach and the cricket. His later abstract works are what most people are familiar with - including the iconic carpet ads from the late 80s / early 90s. There are multiple levels of artworks here and you could spend a solid hour here or longer if you watch the documentary on loop. When the entry is so cheap I always like to support the gift shop so picked up some cool tea towels for home. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. There is an outdoor sculpture garden across the road. Several of Pro Hart's sculptures can be seen downtown as well as large painted artworks at Broken Hill Regional Airport inside the departures terminal.

The Flying Doctor Outback Heritage Experience in Broken Hill offers a glimpse into the history and operations of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Established in 1928, this service provides 24-hour emergency healthcare to remote regions. Visitors can explore a real RFDS base, witness live operations, and immerse themselves in the service's history through an audio-visual installation. Guided tours provide insight into behind-the-scenes activities and showcase aircraft in the hangar.
Amazing history and awesome service to the outback community. A must visit for anyone coming to BH. The new visitor centre is lovely!
Richard J — Google review
They've done the place up recently, it looks absolutely fantastic. Great set up, lots of history about not only the RFDS, but also about Broken Hill as well. Well worth a visit.
Brodie F — Google review
Take the guided tour of the hanger with the knowledgable staff. There is a history of the RFDS from small beginings, to Queen Elizabeth 2nd bestowing the royal title. Souveneir shop with clothing, drink bottles, and much more. Proceeds going to the RFDS.
Stuart D — Google review
We've been to a few RFDS places but this was the best. A great museum section and a wonderful look at aircraft in the hangar, all brought together by a really good couple of guides. Top stuff, and we learnt so much more about RFDS operations
Colin S — Google review
Great 'experience' well worth a visit if you are in Broken Hill. Wonderful insight in to the history (and present) of the RFDS - what a fantastic organization and the history of Reverend Flynn and his mission to set up the service is inspiring. Interesting collection of planes etc from the history of RFDS as well as a nice Broken Hill history lesson. First part of the tour is 'guided' which was OK but probably unnecessary ... the place speaks for itself! Entry fee applies - but the $60 for a family is well worth it - even if it is just a forced donation!
Andrew N — Google review
Our visit to the Flying Doctor Heritage Centre in Mildura was excellent. Our tour guide gave us an interesting and at times funny history of the RFDS, and this was accompanied with 2 movie presentations as well as aeroplanes on-site. The recording of an outback wife to RFDS in the early years seeking help for her injured husband was both interesting to listen too, but also quite heartfelt. Well done. An excellent display.
Debbie — Google review
Wow! A really well curated museum with lots of authentic displays of aviation and radio history.. excellent animated projection of dr flynns desk.. impressive young guide called Hudson.. he was very engaging and informative.. a real asset to RFDS museum..an unmissable venue when in silver city.

Parkes Observatory

If you’re even slightly interested in space, science, or history, Parkes Observatory is an absolute must-visit. Known affectionately as “The Dish,” this iconic radio telescope has played a major role in space exploration, including helping relay live television of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The site is incredibly well-maintained and offers a great balance between scientific significance and visitor-friendly facilities. The Visitors Centre is informative and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of engaging exhibits explaining how radio telescopes work and the important discoveries made here. There’s also a short documentary playing regularly that gives great historical context and makes you appreciate just how important this place is. The outdoor area is just as impressive—standing under the towering 64-metre dish is truly awe-inspiring. You can get great photos and there’s plenty of signage explaining what you’re looking at. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing the Observatory’s story. The cafe on site, Dish Café, is also a lovely spot to relax with a coffee or meal while taking in the view of the telescope. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and the food is surprisingly good for a tourist spot—try the scones if you get a chance! Overall, Parkes Observatory is a fascinating blend of science, history, and natural beauty. It’s well worth the drive and a great stop whether you’re traveling solo, with kids, or in a group. Highly recommended!
DaRcAssan Z — Google review
In your travels North and South up and down the Newell Hwy if your never stopped and taken the time to divert off the hwy to visit the Parks Observatory you are doing yourself a disservice. If your got kids it is especially worth while. Only a hand full of Km north of Parks and about 6km down the side road will get you there. Free entry with most of activities designed and aimed at the kids around 9-14yrs. Lots of photos and interesting information panels for the adults and hands on activities for the kids. The gift shop is A1 with good prices for a wide variety of interesting items to buy. The actual 'dish' is huge and most impressive and you will be amazed. It is still in operational use presently. There is a guided tour available but we didn't do that. This side divert will easily chew up a couple of hours and both you and the kids will appreciate getting out of the car far a very interesting tourist attraction. Got a Cafe there as well. Free and ample close by parking including long vehicles and free entry. Make sure you visit the outside two opposing dishes 70mts apart where if you face into one dish and whisper your partner can hear what you say facing into the other dish. All in all a great little place to visit that will consume no more than two hours of your time and break up your drive. Highly recommend.
Jeff O — Google review
Great 3D movie to inform the public about our planet & solar system. Great displays and of course a view of the dish. Plenty of gifts & merchandise with space in mind. A cafe available. Movie was a cost, but everything else was free to view.
Randy D — Google review
Great place to look around to explore and learn some history. If you haven't seen the movie The Dish, I suggest you watch it and learn more about what it does. It's free to go in and check everything out. The whisper dishes out the front are great. You start whispering in them, and the other person over at the other didh can hear you as though you were standing beside them. Awesome place to visit

It's a popular spot for photographers and families, with play areas and ponds inhabited by ducks. Additionally, visitors can explore The Park Guildry, which showcases local crafts and homemade treats.
It's such a beautiful park. Created in 1875. Magnificent old trees. Beautiful gardens with a glass house, pond, fountain, etc. It is a pleasure to walk through and explore. It also has restrooms, kids play area and picnic tables.

Cook Park is an easy 10-minute walk west of the Orange CBD via Summer or Kite Streets. Cook Park embodies the seasonal colours of Orange all year round. Summer's arrival brings gardens of stunning and vibrant coloured roses. From February to April, hundreds of begonias bloom in the 'Blowes Conservatory', and in Spring, a burst of colour arrives with masses of tulips and daffodils. A great picnic spot as well with ample playing areas.

What an amazing collection of history!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND A VISIT TO THIS HUGE MUSEUM OF AUSTRALIANA! For a $15 adult entry price, we wandered the acres of museum for hours viewing so many well kept items from years ago. The volunteers there are happy to chat and are proud as punch of the fabulous array of history that they are Custodians of. There is lots to view from the local area and beyond. Wow. We were shocked at the size of the collection and the fabulous condition of everything. Do yourself a favour and drop into Gulgong to see this place and the beautiful town it sits in Spend some money and have some lunch, the town folk here are delightful!

How many of us know that AUD 10 note featured a portrait of Henry Lawson, an Australian poet and writer, along with images of buildings and bush scenes from Gulgong ! The museum takes you back to a bygone era … the doll collection, vintage candy shop , amazingly preserved cottage. It’s seems a piece of time has been frozen and well preserved. Items and well preserved and documented. Please visit the town and take a tour of the museum.

What a great spot to stop and see some of the local and Australian history. So much to see. Old vehicles, clothing, cameras, projectors, coins guns and heaps more. So glad we stopped. 15 dollar adult entry. Worth every dollar. Easy wheelchair access. Maybe a bit tight I side and some steps inside but would see most of it.

The most impressive Australian historical museum I have ever been to in NSW. It covered absolutely everything you could imagine. You need at least 3 hours to see everything properly. There is a lot of love and pride in this museum and the $15 entry fee is way too low. Highly recommended!

i love this place. i’m from penrith but a very big history nerd. i’ve visited three times and im still in awe every single time. such an amazing museum for so cheap. my favorite is definitely the doll room :)

This is a wonderful place to visit, you can easily lose yourself in times gone by and revel in the nostalgia. There are thousands of items in a kind of labyrinth-like display that meanders along creaky old floors to showcase beautifully set up rooms that graphically illustrate the way of life of early Australia. Highly recommend a visit but set aside at least two hours to thoroughly immerse yourself in the history that this place offers. Good value entry fee and staffed by friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. This was our second visit and still we are in awe of the place.
Al P — Google review
Have never seen so many different things to see in one place! The collection is huge! It’s so well set up and laid out. There are tractors and all types of farm equipment, horse drawn vehicles, old house hold items like record players and radios, fossils, sporting artefacts, toys, even buildings from the 1800s set up as they would have liked. I would never have thought so many items could fit into one museum! And it’s affordable to visit. You can get a ticket and leave and have lunch and return. How good is that! Well done to all the wonderful volunteers who look after this wonderful museum.

Great place to try and learn more about honey. The woman that helped us was so friendly, happy to chat with my son about his questions on bees. We left with lots of honey and even tried their ice cream which was excellent. This is worth the visit.

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

Car racing venue
Sights & Landmarks
Home of the Bathurst 1000 event, this road-race circuit has uphill stretches with panoramic views.
I came here because my husband is a big fan of cars and racing, and honestly, I’m so happy we checked it out. Mount Panorama Racing Circuit is amazing, the track is iconic and you can really feel the history and excitement just by being there. Walking around and seeing the circuit up close was something special. But the best part was definitely seeing my husband’s smiling face enjoying every moment. Whether you’re into motorsports or just curious, this place is definitely worth a visit. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
Zella B — Google review
A true icon and amazing destination for not only car racing fans. The views are beautiful, especially on a clear winter morning with the low cloud across parts of the town. Everyone you speak to on the mountain has a smile on their face. The walk is awesome and a great heart starter before jumping back in the car for a 3 hour drive. Thoroughly recommend the visit.
Roadcraft R — Google review
One of the all time greatest experiences of a life time. All fans of motorsport need to go to Mt Panorama, Bathurst at least once in your life. Awesome!
W Q — Google review
Finally made it to Mount Panorama, and wow, what an experience! Even when there’s no race on, just driving the circuit at normal speed gives you chills. The elevation changes, the sharp turns, the views over Bathurst… it’s unreal to imagine the pros flying through it at full speed. I stopped a few times to take in the scenery and honestly, every corner has history written all over it. The National Motor Racing Museum nearby is also worth the visit. So much passion and heritage packed into one place. Whether you’re into motorsport or just love a scenic drive with serious Aussie character, Mount Panorama is a must-visit. I left with a full heart, a phone full of photos, and a huge smile. Can’t wait to go back! 🏁🇦🇺

The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, housed in a former school building dating back to 1876, is a renowned destination for enthusiasts of fossils, minerals, and dinosaur skeletons. It is home to the prestigious Somerville Collection featuring over 2000 mineral and fossil specimens including a complete T-Rex skeleton and fossilized dinosaur eggs. Visitors can explore the museum's fascinating displays showcasing rare and scientifically significant minerals from around the world.
This is a small, compact museum with very interesting information about what kind of minerals are found in Australia and what they are used for. It shows lots of different ones, and had a Lego theme for the little ones. It also has various puzzles, games and 3 play areas to keep the young ones engaged and entertained. There is a huge dinosaur skeleton and multiple videos about mining, and how various minerals are found. The shop is also great, with lots of different items to buy. I recommend the visit.

A wonderful little gem of a museum! Pun fully intended. We came with our kids on a weekday during school hours and it was pretty quiet. We had lots of space to explore the beautiful old rooms filled with spectacular mineral and fossil specimens. The displays are laid out with great visual appeal and well written educational information. We greatly appreciated the hands-on experiences for small children especially the microscope and dinosaur toys. Also the picnic table in the courtyard for a bit of morning tea before we entered. Staff were friendly and helpful, bathrooms clean and well maintained. Overall a lovely experience. I would recommend about 1.5-2 hours.

Wealth of history living in this cozy and compact museum! Awe inspiring displayed of collections around the country and globe! Quite a fascinating place where kids/adults in fact all ages people can learn about the past. We spent quite a long time inside the museum and learned a lot! Every pieces of collection has its own unique history and features. A must visit place for everyone! Highly recommended.

Such a great museum with permanent fossil / mineral displays and other cool temporary exhibitions. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and clearly love this place. Shout out to the descriptions of tumble rocks and crystals at the gift shop, factual and science-based instead of wishy washy energetic 'benefit'.

A fascinating variety of minerals despite the small size, they had an engaging perioidic table and how they excavate the minerals, perfect for primary school aged kids.
Wendy L — Google review
Loved this museum! Our grandsons loved the T-rex skeleton (they were huge!), the fossils and the insects and animals in amber. I loved the displays connecting the periodic table to modern living; they are an inspired way to show how these minerals are used today. The mineral displays were beautifully presented with good information.

Very modern and interactive museum specifically tailored for kids. Stunningly set in an old church. The T-Rex skeleton was fantastic, and so many things to touch and feel, and history of the earth video was great. Only a few small rooms here though, and an hour is enough. Definately worth a visit though.

Mayfield Garden

Park
Nature & Parks
Flower-filled green space with a water garden, grotto & tree-lined valley, plus giant chess.
I’ve been here 2 times now! What I always love about this garden is how big it is and how pretty all of the colourful trees. Would recommend to come during normal weekdays. ‘cause last year when I came, it was super busy because of school holiday (you won’t be able to take picture freely). I would also recommend to come earlier in the morning so you can really enjoy the entire place (follow the map!). Bring your own food and picnic mat as well!
Fionnula R — Google review
Amazing well kept grounds. The autumn colours were gorgeous! The different sections made wandering around interesting. Although a bit pricey for entry to a garden, I can understand how expensive it would be to maintain such a place. I would love to see the garden again in springtime.
Kathleen Y — Google review
Absolutely stunning gardens with breathtaking views all year round. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with so much to explore – from the formal gardens and hidden pathways to the water features and the lake. It’s a peaceful and relaxing place, perfect for a day out with family or friends. A place where heaven meets.
Ken S — Google review
It is a spectacular 65 hectare private garden that is open to the public. It is considered to be one of the the largest and most spectacular cool climate gardens in the Southern Hemisphere. It has sprawling gardens, maze, chapel, stumpery, aviary, garden rooms and every other feature across the garden. Popular place, need to go early to avoid the heat as well. Fair bit of walking around, some under shade. Uneven terrain, lot of walking on paved pathways mostly. Popular with tourists and locals. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Toilets available. Restaurant available at main entry/exit point. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy at off peak times. Great place for photography. You can book ready installed tents for overnight stays.

A very wonderful place to visit. We went there Autumn season. The weather was perfect and the plants are vibrant. I suggest coming early to secure parking. We were not able to do the maze simply because we have a pram and a 2 year old with us. Nonetheless, the experience was worthwhile.

There was a lovely woman and a kind man at the café—maybe the owners or staff—and both were super friendly and welcoming. I asked for my coffee to be really hot, and they nailed it! (Not everyone gets that right.) The atmosphere was so cozy and peaceful. We spent around two hours walking in the garden, and had a great time with the kids. Thank you so much for your genuine kindness and warm smiles. ☺️ I absolutely recommend this place!
Ozlem C — Google review
Lovely cool climate garden. Will be spectacular a little later in the spring, and stunning during autumn. Cafe on site, staff friendly and helpful. We had a shared cheese/ meat platter for lunch, very filling. We visited during the week, and it was quite busy, would be extra busy on weekends and during holidays. Will be back to check it out during different seasons 💐🪻🍁🍂

The Big Golden Guitar

Visitor Centers
Massive outdoor sculpture marking a country music & gift shop with an attached coffee cafe.
Suck a great stop. Information center. Museum which is reasonably price. Great collection of guitars. Staff friendly and a nice Cafe.
Jeff U — Google review
As far as "big" things go, this is one of the better ones. Genuinely big, and has a solid information office and wax museum as part of it (although I didn't go to the wax museum so can't comment). Pretty much mandatory when visiting Tamworth.
Angus W — Google review
It was a bit of a disappointed to be honest. They have built large food outlets and a super cheap auto nearby and have taken away from the symbolic guitar that stands tall for Australian country music. It’s just a trashy big thing that we want a photo under. Progress has certainly ruined the experience for me. I remember that there was grass around the guitar not it’s a carpark.
Ali ( — Google review
Location is crap, smashed between fast food places and a hotel. Tricky to get a decent photo as you are standing in a car park. The information centre seemed alright Staff were very friendly, and there is a wax museum which you can explore for a small fee.

Very busy area ( carpark in-between kfc, zarrafas and maccas) but cool to see
Hayley K — Google review
It's a large Plastic guitar. Pretty straightforward really. Located outside a Country and Western Museum on a main road. The roar of trucks, 4WDs and traffic is not my idea of ambience, but not much can be done about that. It just overall was like "oh yeah seen the big guitar". Got in the car and kept going.
Annastacia P — Google review
Excellent staff, many brochures available for many parts of Australia. Some keepsakes but the highlight had to be the $10 to walk around a waxworks museum of country artists and then a guitar exhibit. And all out of the rain. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Breathtaking Views and a Peaceful Escape – A Must-Visit in Tamworth Oxley Scenic Lookout is truly one of Tamworth’s hidden gems. Perched high above the town, the lookout offers breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across the Peel Valley and beyond. Whether you visit at sunrise, sunset, or any time in between, the landscape is nothing short of spectacular and gives you a whole new appreciation for the natural beauty of the region. What makes this spot even more special is how peaceful and well-maintained it is. There are picnic tables, grassy areas, walking trails, and plenty of space to sit, relax, and take in the scenery. Jenolan Caves is a captivating tourist site nestled in the southern Blue Mountains, featuring 11 caves and underground rivers waiting to be explored. The ancient limestone caves offer an otherworldly experience with their expansive chambers adorned with stalactites, crystal basins, and sculptural formations. This natural wonder is not only enigmatic but also the oldest open cave system globally.
Amazing trail tracking experience, if you love adventures. A must go place for adults but if you are taking small kids, it would be recommended to take enough caution as the cave floors are slippery and the temperature is 15 degree Celsius all year round. You must pack your necessary sunscreen and anti fly sprays as there are flies all around in summer time. It is recommended to buy tickets online well ahead as it is a top adventure tourist destination.
Shamiul H — Google review
A surreal and amazing experience for visitors of all ages. Meals are served at the historic Caves House and cave tours offering access to various caves are available at all times of the *year (see note below referencing temporary closures in 2025). Australians have been touring the famous Jenolan Caves since they were first discovered in 1838 - and a tourist attraction sprang up in the 1920s that have continued to draw tourists from around the world. Lit from within using hidden lighting, each major cave has its own tour guides. The Lucas Cave tour is a popular one due to the features, as is the Cerebus Cave. Dress for the cooler subterranean temperatures, even in Summer. NOTE: *The Caves at Jenolan are presently temporarily closed (2025) to enable MAJOR ROAD REPAIRS plus the refurbishment of facilities, tracks and public access. The caves should re-open again to the public in 18 months. CONS: * Ticket Pricing can be somewhat steep, but worth it. * Caves can be cold, even during mid summer. * Previous road was narrow, single lane and precarious. * Beware of the stinging nettles in the outdoor area.
Marco N — Google review
Jenolan caves a world class and absolutely beautiful attraction that is located in the iconic Australian blue mountains. It's a bit of trek getting there on the small and windy road, which can be a little bit sketchy at times, but it is absolutely worthwhile. The area has many different caves for every type of adventurer and when you drive in, you drive through a massive open cave that dwarfs even the tour buses that pass through. It also has a wonderful German architectural theme due to its founding by German explorers and my favourite part is that it is always a perfect temperature of around 17°C inside the caves.
Andrew S — Google review
Absolutely fantastic experience at the Imperial caves tour and left us wanting to do the other tours as well. Our guide gave us a lot of interesting facts and kept us all engaged throughout the tour. Plan to be at the barrier point (from where the operator vehicle escorts to the caves) at least an hour in advance. Park and walk or take the shuttle. The walk to the caves is easier than the walk back as it's mostly downhill. View of the blue lake from the walking path is amazing. Can't wait for the lake boardwalk also to be complete. Restrooms at the parking spot and near caves entry. Cafe near the caves entry serves quick eats. Toast / ready to eat items get served faster.
Prashanth N — Google review
A great experience!! I've been a few times. Explored many of the several caves they have. I plan on going here again. Wasn't far from here, in a small pond, I got to see my first platypus in the wild. I'm told this is a very rare occurrence.
Kyle C — Google review
Please purchase a tour ticket before you head out there, especially during school holidays and public holidays, seen too many people regret on the long hours drive for not be able to tour the caves. It was very nice experience with our tour, our tour guide Jaime was superb. Highly recommended for family bonding, fun activities.
Lenny N — Google review
Went here on a trip with friends in May 2023. We chose to do two caves, the orient cave and imperial cave. The imperial cave was a wide cave, nice crystal formations but the highlight for me was the underground river the the turquoise water, that was amazing and looked so inviting. Of course no one is allowed to swim in there to preserve its beauty. The orient cave was truly beautiful. Compared to the orient cave, the crystal and rock formations here are truly stunning. The guide was also very knowledgeable and creative, pointing out formations and what they resembled. The kids on our tour loved that as they were also able to use their creative minds to form images of the formations. The drive accessing the caves at the moment is long and tedious due to several road works and closures in the area. There is a point where you will be prompted to stop and follow their vehicle down the steep and narrow road drive. There is ample parking in the area. Overall a very unique experience and I would be happy to check out other caves again (maybe once the road works are completed).
Camille J — Google review
We recently visited and did the Chifley Cave tour, it was great with an amazing and enthusiastic tour guide who gave lots of information regarding the caves, including scientific explanations on formations, as well as stories about their discovery. I highly recommend this visit and loved the entire experience! The tour is also not rushed at all so you have plenty of time to take it all in, take photos and ask questions. Book in advance as it was super busy and we were lucky to make a spot! When we went the road was closed for several km's and required a one way escort, it's fine only adds 20ish minutes but I recommend going early to ensure you are on time - there is a nice cafe with plenty of bits to eat + coffee so you will be comfy if you have a wait. Better to way and enjoy a brew than be late!

The Nundle Woollen Mill is a must visit. It is the only working woollen Mill in Australia. The tour takes you through the process from the raw wool through to coloured balls of yarn on the shelf. Nick the owner also talked about the history of the machines used. Very informative and interesting. The lady on the front counter was very welcoming and friendly. There was such a good variety of woollen products for sale.

A very informative tour by the owner who took us through the whole process from raw fleece to a ball of wool. He fielded some very curly questions so he clearly is totally hands on. Excellent retail shop with clothes, hats, sock and a huge range of wool.

Great active wool mill to visit. Nice to be able to see the process from fleece to wool balls and products. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Went on a Monday, sadly not much else open. Gold Mine museum closed as were all but one shop in Main Street. It takes an hour from Tamworth and roads were varied including many potholes, not much traffic on roads in and out.

This was worth the visit. Very interesting to see how we get that ball of wool. The short video was informative and very educational. The gift shop had a wide variety of products, clothing and keepsake items to purchase. The town of Nundle was very pretty.

A great tour of the Nundle Woollen Mills. The tour was informative and captivating and we had a great tour guide. (Was the owner I think). He walked us through the entire process of creating the product starting from the raw wool and taking us all the way through to the finished goods. Much of the process is carried out by vintage machines. It was fascinating to see how these machines have been preserved and maintained to create high quality wool products. Great admission price & lovely products able to be purchased I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of visiting the area. (And the staff are lovely).

What a beautiful shop. We had visited a few days ago. A lovely range of woollen products. Especially great they stock Australian made Ugg Boots. You can see the owners love their Mill and store. The informative video playing while you explore the shop was great. I was disappointed the lady behind the counter didn’t say hello or make any eye contact. It didn’t feel a very friendly or welcoming vibe so I feel like I struggled to buy something. Greeting customers and giving a smile always goes a long way.

Scenic World, located in the Blue Mountains Katoomba region, offers three main attractions and a 2.4 km walkway for visitors to explore. The railway boasts the steepest descent in the world, while the aerial cable transport drops 545 meters into the gorge. With an exploration pass, visitors can spend a whole day navigating the National Park and seamlessly transition between attractions.
It is a lovely drive into the Blue Mountains and it is our first time visiting. Scenic World was a great experience for the different views you get from the 3 rides. You just get a different perspective of the many natural wonders that the Blue Mountains presents. We rode each of the rides multiple times as you seem to notice more things each time you ride. We didn't get anything to eat while there as we brought food along but the cafe and restaurant were both busy each time we passed. A nice touch is that there a few water stations scattered around where you can fill your water bottle for free which is great as you hike around. All up, we all enjoyed ourselves and had a great day out in nature with some absolutely stunning views. Can highly recommend.

Outstanding day out! First of all, the staff are the nicest staff I've encountered, so welcoming from the moment you arrive. (Thank you Dominique for easing out little one into the excitement) The coffee from the Cafe was delicious. So much to see and explore, the dinosaur Valley was well worth the cost of a ticket. We drove from Queensland specifically for this and I would do it again and again! Absolutely loved and so did our dinosaur mad little one. One Day we will cherish.

Scenic World in the Blue Mountains is a fantastic place to visit. One can easily spend a day viewing the spectacular scenery and walking through the valley floor rainforest boardwalk. The funicular scenic railway was an amazing experience. It only travels for a short time, but it is very spectacular. Once in the valley, one has the opportunity to walk through a wonderful rainforest. The many sign boards explain not only the history of the location, but also features of the flora and fauna. During our recent visit, the Dinosaur Valley display was available. This was a real treat. The children present loved it. The mainly young staff were very friendly and helpful.

We visited Scenic World on a weekday and had such a lovely time. The cafe and gift shop were both great — I especially loved the gift shop and ended up buying a few dinosaurs. Echo Point Lookout (Three Sisters)

Mentioned on
24 lists
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Echo Point Lookout, also known as Three Sisters, is a must-see attraction in the Blue Mountains. The legend of the landmark tells the story of three sisters turned into rock to protect them from tribal war. Despite being busy, it offers unique and stunning views of the Three Sisters rock formations, valleys, and canyons.
First Impressions & Scenery Echo Point is one of those places that really lives up to the hype. From the lookout you get jaw-dropping views of the Three Sisters — three sandstone rock formations rising from the cliffs, set against the vast sweep of the Jamison Valley. Especially at sunrise or sunset, the light plays beautifully on the cliffs and valley, giving dramatic hues. On clear days the panorama is exceptional. --- Accessibility & Amenities The lookout is very accessible. It’s easy to get to by car or public transport (train + bus from Katoomba) without needing a big hike just to see the view. There are good visitor facilities: an information centre, restrooms, cafés/snacks near the site. There are multiple platforms and viewing points at different levels, so even if one spot is crowded, you can often find a slightly quieter vantage. --- The Walks & Related Experiences If you’ve got time, there are several walks starting or connecting through Echo Point: The Three Sisters Walk: relatively short, family‐friendly, gives a closer perspective of the rock formation. Prince Henry Cliff Walk: more extensive, scenic, passes many lookouts. Giant Stairway: more strenuous, descending into the valley (and rising back). Good for more energetic visitors. --- What’s Great Iconic views — this place is one of Australia’s classic outlooks. If you're visiting the Blue Mountains, this is sort of “must-see.” Very manageable — you don’t have to be super fit to enjoy big parts of it. Great for casual visitors, families, day-trippers. Good infrastructure — viewing platforms, visitor centre etc make it comfortable. Atmosphere — when it’s clear, and especially early morning or later afternoon, the sense of scale, mist, light, the eucalyptus forest below, the vast valley — it all works together.
Dhritiman N — Google review
A soul-stirring experience at Echo Point! Echo Point is simply breathtaking — and if you venture just a little away from the main lookout, it becomes magical. To the left, the Three Sisters Walk offers close-up views of these majestic rock formations and the endless blue horizon. To the right, the Lady Darley Viewpoint trail rewards you with peaceful, panoramic views — far from the crowds, where you can truly feel the stillness and grandeur of nature. It’s a place that humbles and uplifts at the same time. Take your time, breathe in the mountain air, and let the view remind you just how magnificent Allah’s creation is. 🌄✨

Echo Point Lookout is absolutely stunning! The view of the Three Sisters and the surrounding Blue Mountains is breathtaking — especially when the mist rolls in. The weather was cool and refreshing when I visited, which made the experience even better. It’s a great spot to take photos, breathe in the mountain air, and just enjoy the view. There are also cafes and souvenir shops nearby. Definitely a must-visit in the Blue Mountains! 🌿⛰️💙

Following an invigorating trundle along the Prince Henry Cliff Walk, we found ourselves at the Echo Point Lookout. We were dropped off by the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus at Stop 9, then walked through to Echo Point. The walking trail was easy to navigate and could be completed at a leisurely pace. The scenic lookouts along the way of the Blue Mountains were well maintained and safe. Brilliant views of the mountains and valleys were had. Once at Echo Point, the crowds were evident, but not burdensome. The view of the The Sisters was spectacular. If one is able and fit enough, it is well worth the effort. Set aside a day of your holiday for this adventure walk.

Echo Point Lookout ia a great place to stop and look at the Blue Mountains and in particular Three Sisters. It seems always busy here as you would expect. This location is incredibly easy to access and very walkable, offering stunning panoramic views in every direction. There are two levels that provide perfect vantage points for taking incredible photos. The area is well maintained, with clean and easily accessible restrooms conveniently located on-site, making it comfortable for visitors of all ages.
James G — Google review
Beautiful view to start the hike/walk. The hiking was nice, safe (i.e. paved) trails, majestic plantation. I went once in summer, once in winter...winter can get cold so bring a winter hat. Walk to Echo point is about 30 minutes from Katoomb station, and ther is a gradual incline, so if you have bad knees, take the public bus (it's clean, cheap, and efficient). Worth the train ride from Sydney)!

The place is beautiful! The hiking trails are very well marked, but unfortunately some paths are closed. There are lots of viewpoints where you can admire the mountains! The only downside is that buses full of tourists come and go. So the entrance is crowded, but as soon as you venture off the beaten track, there's no one around!

Three Sisters is a great spot to stop. We would recommend 30m -4hrs depending on how much walking you are willing and capable of doing. Would recommend visiting early or later in the day when it is a bit cooler.

Visiting the Three Sisters in Katoomba was such a magical experience. The moment we arrived, we were completely amazed by the breathtaking mountain views and the calm beauty of nature. My family and I also took a ride on the Scenic Railway, which is said to be the most inclined railway in the world, and it was such an unforgettable thrill. The air was fresh and crisp, and the weather quite cold, so a warm jacket is a must. It’s truly one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate how stunning the world can be.

Lovely (and easy) walk in the magnificent Blue Mountains scenery. We were there in November thus with perfect climate to hike ! Amazing day

Windy as usual but does not detract from the amazing views. Greatly improved access since our last visit pre Covid with adequate platform viewing even with a couple of coaches of visitors. There is a small paid parking area or look for off street paid parking. Can get a hot drink, meal or souvenir at the Lookout Echo Point plaza 5 min walk from the Three Sisters.

The Three Sisters is an iconic rock formation in the Blue Mountains National Park near Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia. These imposing sandstone peaks—named Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo—tower over the Jamison Valley, providing one of Australia's most spectacular and photographed views, especially from the Echo Point lookout. You will have a great time if you visit here. You can drive or use public transport. The location is very convenient. There are restrooms in case you need to use. I have come here so many times and every time I am here I get mesmerised with the beauty and the great views of this place. Highly recommended!!

Thoroughly impressed with the Blue Mountains Botanical Garden. The sheer variety of plant collections is fantastic, from towering trees to delicate flowers. Particularly enjoyed the early autumn shades on the trees. The gardens are beautifully designed with lovely pathways, water features, and plenty of spots to sit and relax. It's both educational (good signage!) and visually stunning. A real treasure!

The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden is such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The views of the mountains are absolutely stunning, and the gardens are so well maintained with a wide variety of plants and flowers to explore. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing walk, family outing, or even just to sit and enjoy nature. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s plenty of space to take photos or have a picnic. Every visit feels refreshing and calming. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Blue Mountains!

A beautiful and quiet place to visit with only the birds twittering and wind sweeping through the trees. The day was overcast but better for the photos and to avoid the heat! Bring a hat, enjoy a stroll or find a bench and enjoy the views.

Mount Tomah is my favorite place to take the kids for a scenic hike. The views are breathtaking, and the gardens showcase an incredible variety of plants. The trails are gentle enough for little legs, yet still packed with visual wonder. The kids love spotting unusual plants and running through the open spaces. It’s peaceful, educational, and perfect for a nature-filled family day out.

Visited on Saturday around noon time for lunch and on return leg from Katoomba after overnight stay at Wentworth Falls. Spent an hour there before having lunch on a beautiful sunny spring day. Beautiful manicured garden. Truly worth the visit on this route.

💡A sunny spring afternoon stroll for the senses. It was just okay! Our bright, sunny drive to the Gardens unfortunately gave way to an overcast setting upon our arrival. We've always believed that large garden landscapes have the power to hold the senses captive, both in their carefully manicured areas and their natural growth. To fully ignite all the senses, a garden should engage sight, touch, smell, sound, and sometimes taste. For us, only two were truly engaged: sight and touch. + The souvenir shop was well-stocked. - There was considerable construction taking place around the landscape. - The overcast skies, although they set up a beautiful photo backdrop, were a bit of a letdown. - Our car battery died, and regarding the assistance we received from staff, I'll simply say: we were incredibly grateful that a lovely visiting couple volunteered to help us.

What a beautiful historic venue to enjoy with family and friends. Lots to see and do, ample parking, wheelchair friendly beautiful setting. Bell bird cafe has a broad but simple menu with unbelievable views of the mountains and the gardens. Great day out, just make sure you don't go on a cold day.

Beautiful wedding venue especially in the rain 😍 cafe was so great to get a delicious hot chocolate at, and I’m glad that unlike other places they didn’t water it down, it was all milk and chocolate. I only wish they gave more than 4 mini marshmallows! To me that equals one full size marshmallow hahah! But the place was beautiful and I will definitely go back..for a fifth time!

One of the best horse riding experiences I've had! Are you an adult who is envious of the horse handling and horsemanship classes broadly available to kids?? - well look no further because this will give you everything you need through an adult lens. I learnt so much from the lovely staff and the horses were wonderful - responsive and gentle. Oh and the valley itself is gorgeous to ride through. I will definitely be back!

I've just come off the back of the most amazing horse camp experience at Chapman Valley Horse Riding and I only wish that I had come out to experience the trail riding and mustering sooner than I have. Chapman's has been hands down the best trail riding experience that I've had in Australia, it is so worth the trip and realistically is not that far from either Sydney, Central Coast or Newcastle. They've got camping sites across the whole property so go and stay the night out there - it's worth it. The horse camp was everything and more and my inner child is so fulfilled now. I'm one step further on my horse knowledge journey and the entire Chapman Valley team contributed to that. They're all such beautiful genuine horse loving people. They match a gorgeous horse to your riding ability and depending on that there's lots of trotting and cantering available and of course the most amazing walking through beautiful trails across their 6000 acres. It's not like a boring walk trail ride nose to bum situation at all. I would definitely recommend the horse camps, mustering, trail riding no matter what you're ability is the Chapman Valley Horse Riding team is there to support. I'm excited to head out there again already.

Every worker was kind, fun and absolutely loved their jobs- we were never made to feel like we knew nothing! Property is absolutely gorgeous and very large and the horses are so loved and carefully picked for each rider. Will be coming back!

I've just returned home after a truly wonderful weekend at Chapman Valley. I joined the adult riding camp (up to 6 riders) and we were joined by 2 wonderful guides. The guides were so supportive and encouraging which I needed as a beginner. It exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning for another weekend soon.

The trails are absolutely amazing and peaceful. There wasn’t great view today due to the fog, but that’s a part of nature, but the rainforest in the whole experience is always so rewarding in itself. Highly recommend it.

The tour of cable car is overrated! Use the cable car to see this national park is totally not enough…If you want to come here, strongly recommend take a walk in any route inside the national park to see its true beauty.
