We went during the day, probably would have seen more birds in the morning. However, we could still see some from the high watchtower. It's a nice path through the area, easy to walk. You can spend some one and a half hours, enjoying the walk and taking some rest on the benches. We also saw some turtles and a big lizzard. We enjoyed it a lot. Bring some water.

Aruvikuzhy Waterfalls, Pampadi is an amazing place for peaceful exploration with family. During rainy season it is a great spot where nature's serenity meets beauty. Note# there is an entry fee and they ensure to charge you but they don’t maintain the facilities such as the walkway and especially toilets (no lights, doors, and cleanness)

Alappuzha Beach is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sea view. The shore is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant for an evening walk or to sit and watch the waves. However, the water gets deep quickly, so it is not very safe for playing or going far into the sea. Better to enjoy the view from the shore. Overall, a peaceful spot to spend some time.

The Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Swamy temple located in Ambalapuzha in Alappuzha district is one of the major Krishna temples in Kerala. The 'Ambalapuzha paal payasam'(aka milk payasam) is very famous and very hard to get. You can pre book and collect it. We had originally planned to visit in the morning but was late and could only visit by evening. We had our darshan as soon as the 'nada' opened by 5:15 pm. Had a very comfortable and peaceful darshan there. In the images you could see the current elephant 🐘 of the temple Kulamakkil Parthasarathy who was there at the time. The temple pond was very calming. Toilets are available there.

Nice visit. There is not much to see there. If you don't have kids with you, it will hardly take half an hour to cover the place. As it is an elephant training camp, there were only 4-5 elephants only when we went there. You can take photos. One elephant craft shop as well as an elephant museum was there. Museum is pretty nice. You can see elephant skeleton there and also,they will play you the sounds of so many species from forest. One children's park and one 3D theatre was there. 3D was worth the money. All of us enjoyed. Also, one cafeteria is there.

It is basically monitored by Kerala police (in civil dress) and many trained archeology /historians present inside as guides. Entry fees are very negligible. Worth visit if you are interested in ancient kerala history and heritage Pros 1. Very neat and tidy kept. 2. Staff behavior is very strict but approachable. 3. Staff/guide knowledge is good. They can clear most of our difficult doubts. 4. Small palace so easily covered by a short trip. Cons 1. There are no refreshment stalls inside palace. Usually we see some stalls inside but here that lacks. 2. Steps to upperstairs are very steep our MIL had some difficulty in climbing up and down. They cant do anything about that but a helping hand at footsteps much appreciated. 3. Toilet facility we didn't see inside.

One of the famous tourist spots and landmarks in Kollam.The scenic beauty of Thankassery and the entire coastal region makes you mesmerized. We recently visited here on a working day and went around 11 am. It's a good experience and not very crowded. Even though it's noon, there is so much cool atmosphere at the top but you should go for evening time, it's pretty more good. The staff service is good, and they always maintain the premises. I think you can spend a decent amount of time here without any boredom. There are stairs and a lift available. If you have any health issues, then you should definitely go for the lift option because climbing too many steps makes you suffocate. They are charging an entry fee of र20 for adults, र10 for children(3-12) and senior citizens and र50 for foreign citizens. There is an extra fee of र10 for taking photos.You have to keep the footwear outside before entering the lighthouse & kindly remember that Monday is a holiday here. There is a children's park in the compound. There are washroom facilities provided in the corner.

Beautiful and Refreshing Waterfall – Must Visit! Visited Palaruvi Waterfalls and it was a wonderful experience! The view of the waterfall is absolutely stunning, and the sound of the water with the natural greenery around makes it a very refreshing spot. The water is icy cold and clean, straight from nature! It was quite crowded when I went, especially around the bathing area. Only a small portion is open for bathing, so it gets very rushed, especially on holidays or weekends. I didn’t get into the water due to the crowd, but I think weekdays would be less crowded. 🎟️ Ticket Details: Adults – ₹70 Kids (above 5 years) – ₹35 Kids below 5 – free 🚍 They provide a bus from the ticket counter to the waterfall, as personal vehicles are not allowed near the falls. 🚗 Parking area is available at the ticket counter itself. The place felt very safe and well-managed, with friendly staff ensuring proper security and cleanliness. 🌿 Overall, a great spot to connect with nature. Highly recommended, especially on weekdays!

Jatayu Earth Center is an amazing place to visit! The sculpture is massive and beautifully designed — you’ll truly be in awe when you see it up close. The view from the top is stunning, and the whole area feels peaceful and well-maintained. Make sure to bring CASH There are a few small temples on the top, including one with Lord Rama’s footsteps, which adds a nice spiritual touch. There’s also a small handicraft-style shop and a restaurant area where you can get food at reasonable prices while waiting for the cable car. Even though the entry fee is on the higher side, the overall experience is totally worth it. A must-visit spot if you’re exploring this side of Kerala!

One of the best tourist attractions of south india and the one which you get never bored of. Excellent views. Lots of food spots in the cliff and watchout for the prices though. Highly recommended especially during monsoon.

Good Temple. Small Shiva temple and there is good view around. Entry is free. There is some park nearby that closes around 06:30pm. Climbing up and down can be very tough. Steps are not well kept. Especially if its rainy, climbing is very risky. They had a metal staircase built but they closed it for some reason.
