It is the commercial.hubbfor northen Emirates across the roads, located at masafi town , mainly this bazar for fruits, vegetables, carpets, and pottery items . You will find local fruits rarely to find it in other markets , their 🥭 mangoes and watermelon 🍉 super wow , but the prices here above the average and some very exaggerated, so careful always bargain with the sales people . Parking available, cash must be available also . Good stop station while returning back to dubai or other Emirates.

A must-visit spot if you’re in or around Fujairah! The Friday Market is famous for its fresh fruits, and right now it’s mango season — don’t miss out. The coconut juice here is a definite highlight — refreshing and served fresh. The atmosphere is lively, with friendly vendors and plenty of variety beyond just fruits, like carpets, plants, and pottery. Great spot for a quick stop on the way to the east coast. A nice place in massafi specially if you want to buy plants and or rugs also you can find fresh fruits cutting or whole. People are friendly there and the prices are reasonable. This place is unique in its own way. The last patch is exciting and thrilling to drove here by car. Here you can drive easily by car and road also very nice but be careful of any stone fall from mountain. This place you feel is actually surrounded by mountains. Very peaceful and underrated place. Make sure to visit in evening and see the sunset. No ticket or pre booking required. Chill & relax with friends or family. We also captured donkey for the first time in uae. 😝

This is a small and old fort. We actually didn’t drove here rather we hiked from Wadi Saham. Only good thing about fort it that you get amazing panoramic views of valley and there are a lot of forms there which make you feel very good. There os a dam nearby but some local told there is no water in there so we skipped.

Nice historical attraction to visit. You will have a good rocky road ride (small adventure) to reach, and you will pass by the dam and enjoy the lake view. After rain, the water is accumulated and people start having picnic and even swim at some parts. A sedan car can go IF the water level isnt high. But drivers should be prepared to drive on rocks (wet).

A place to spend time and can make a bliss full evening. Pathology available. Way to the destination is not too good. Normal sedan cars reach. Family spot. Was windy on the day I visited but not sure about all days. Climate is calm. Best place for portrait and landscape photos.

This is a wow place. Amidst all those hills and rough roads this place is just an amazing one for sight seeing. Those huts are something that takes you to the roots of humanity. Valley beneath gives you a breath taking view. Climb the hills and have fun. As such there is no restrictions at this place. One advice, please take care of your kids as they might fall by tripping on some of those loose stones.

This is a great weekend spot. We went as a group of friends, had picnic and went hiking. There are lot of mountains to trek, a security guard taking care of the fort. The fort is small and unique, you can have a look at how king’s family used to live at those times(1930s).

A great place to visit with family or friends! The site offers a plenty of space for exploration. If you enjoy outdoor activities, there’s also ample space nearby for camping. The location is peaceful and isolated from the city, making it a perfect getaway for nature and history lovers.

It's not a huge museum but it's still a well thought out and planned little area covering a very extensive expanse of the local area's history. The views are also amazing. I am really impressed by how Sharjah has preserved its history and culture, and created some absolutely amazing museums to showcase this.

Just the drive there from Dubai was worth it! Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind and enjoying the calm and beauty of this little museum in the desert was so refreshing. Excellent service (Carlo was very attentive) and food in the restaurant on site added some extra value. It was still a little too hot for outdoor activities. Would definitely recommend!

Near to recently accredited UNESCO site with the evidence of human settlement since 120,000 years, the centre hosts a museum, guide tour, nature park with rescued animals found locally, and a nice museum cafe. If taking tour can spend 4-5 good hours here.

This superb archaeological site and museum will introduce you to human habitation of the Mleiha region as far back as the Neolithic. Learn about the burial rituals of the people of the past along with how they cultivated and engineered their environment to survive. We finished our visit with some food and drink in the cafe, which was freshly prepared to order at very reasonable prices.

Great museum in a lovely location! The actually grounds are very beautiful. There is a nice path you can walk on behind the restaurant and see some animals. You can do many activities here like horse riding, camping, star gazing etc. We just came for the free museum which was wonderful and very informative. They also have a prayer room and good facilities in general.

Loved the place, very clean and well maintained, the museum offers a great journey into the history of the area and human history in the desert. Very recommended if you like light trips and amazing views. Kids friendly.

Absolutely the place to go for a fun Camel race! awesome experience.

This is a must visit place if you are a UAE resident or tourist. Two Huge camel race tracks are there. No tickets required. Usually Races happens in winter time. Check the race calendar before you go. Better to visits during early morning hours.

The camel races here are so beautiful and well run! Hospitality is second to none as they offer chai,coffee and lunches for anyone free of charge. There are shuttles that run from Dubai Mall on every 30 minutes free of charge. After the races there is The Heritage Festival that with lots of cultural activities,shops,community sharing and dancing by various different groups. So beautiful don't miss it if you come to Dubai you will not be dissapointed.

Fun to watch the camel practice! We hired a driver to bring us roundtrip...THIS IS An early morning activity! 630-900am ish....You can go in the stadium bleachers and watch them go by ! This is free...some camels have actually jockeys others have electronic jockeys and land cruiser vehicles that have the drones inside of them controlling there speed when how they run! The land cruisers follow alongside !

An experience to remember. Brilliant atmosphere and the best part is that everything is FREE. Yes you read that right. The experience is free of cost. Just drive to the racing track and seat in the viewing area. There is no need to pay anything. Weekend races from 6-9 am every 15-20 mins. Good fun!

Hatta Heritage Village is a wonderful place to explore traditional Arabic heritage and culture. The entry is completely free, making it a great spot for a relaxed visit. When we went on a weekday, it was very calm and not crowded, which made it easy to enjoy the surroundings. Inside the village, many of the shops were closed, but there is a small playground for kids to swing and play, making it family-friendly. The area is very clean, dry, and well-maintained, providing a peaceful environment to take photos or simply relax. The best time to visit is during the winter months, as it can get extremely hot during the summer. Overall, it’s a quiet, charming spot to experience the heritage of Arabic people and enjoy a calm day out.

A hidden cultural gem nestled in the Hajar Mountains! Hatta Heritage Village beautifully showcases traditional Emirati mountain life, with restored mud houses, watchtowers, a fort, and a working falaj (irrigation system). It’s free to enter and perfect for a short cultural stop on your Hatta trip. The museum has interesting artifacts, old tools, and life-size displays. Great spot for photography and history lovers. Best visited during cooler months and combine it with Hatta Dam or Hill Park nearby.

The location is good, the ambiance is good, staff is good, the village style is good, bed is comfortable and clean. Everything was good except the Air Conditioner. The AC is fixed on the ground so only the ground is normal temperature. It's like if you sit on the floor the temperature is fine but the moment you stand up you are in high temperature as if there is no AC at all. The best way is either they put fans or they do something with the AC. Better to visit in winter rather than summer.

Dubai Desert Conservation is going to be crowded this winter. The night camps are the places people would love to stay. A VIP night cam will be introduced soon by Emirates. Barbecue will be the most loved dish here. You will be able to see the desert deers and camels here. If you are lucky enough might see the snakes and scorpions too. Be vigilant when you visit this place and do not litter anything anywhere in the desert or you will end up paying huge fines.

This was our first visit to the conservation reserve, and it was an unforgettable experience. The center features a beautifully curated mini-museum with fascinating insights into the region’s wildlife and native species. The highlight, of course, was the dune drive — an incredible journey through the desert landscape. The entire tour was well-organized and truly worth a visit for anyone wanting to connect with the natural heritage of the UAE.

It was great to see the gazelles and later that same night a fox whilst carefully driving through the desert with our guide from Arabian Adventures. Lovely landscapes, best enjoyed during sunset hours.

You can see Arabian Oryx, Gazelles, Foxe's, rabbits, sand fishes, so many kind of lizards and a lot of fauna and flora. The Main thing is one of the beautiful desert resort inside of this conservation reserve, which is called AL MAHA DESERT RESORT & SPA

Anything I thought I knew about the desert was wrong. It’s not just sand and sun—it’s life, history, and resilience. Seeing camels roam freely and spotting the oryx, Dubai’s national animal, in its natural habitat was something else. It made me wonder what it was like to live as a Bedouin—finding peace, purpose, and strength in the middle of nowhere. The desert holds so much more than meets the eye.

The experience was really satisfying.. We sent as a group for the Heritage Dessert Safari experience, and it was wonderful.. The excursion and venue were unique and compelling.. The food was amazing.. The staff were very polite and accommodating.. Shout out to Mr. Baron, Mr. Ahmad, Mr. Zayed, and to the rest of the team...

Not a bad experience, but you really need to be a Bollywood fan to appreciate it. My family and I did half a day here with our Dubai Parks annual pass. Consensus was that some aspects were interesting, but without an appreciation for Bollywood we would not do it again. In that regard it’s a little different to the rest of the parks which grabbed you regardless of whether you liked the basis (LEGO, Motiongate characters etc). The park itself is incredible clean and tired, staff are super helpful and everything is just very modern.

Surprisingly good experience. Great selection of virtual rides and entertaining stage performances. Truly highlights the achievements of Bollywood movies. The Rajmahal looks stunning. The Ferris wheel doesn’t really give you a good view of the park but an enjoyable ride nonetheless. The park has music playing throughout but none of them were Bollywood songs which I found rather odd.

Excellent one day entertainment. All rides, live shows, performance are enjoyable. Still there are few rides yet to be open however what ever is there is best on class and give superb experiance. I recommend who ever come to UAE to visit this park at least once.

An absolutely amazing place. The streets and shops resemble classical Indian movie sets our streets. and it's not just shop fronts, even inside, the whole place feels truly out of this world. The rides are fun and are all included in the ticket. Bollywood parks are more about shows than rides though. Don't miss the stunt show. TIP: To avoid long waiting lines go early morning during the week. We did and we got straight into every ride with zero waiting time. It got busier in the afternoon though. This place is fun for kids and their parents alike. For eating you can eat at themed restaurants there or at known restaurants that have branches open at the French village. Go ahead and create some amazing family memories!

The park is good snd the staff are professionals. The live shows are nice also in the mail big building. The ride are different and fit with most of the ages and tall. The food shops can be better

Came here with my friends on a Friday. It was pretty crowded. Love the art work everywhere! Beautiful! Makes me feel like I'm in a movie! The rides are okay, not great. But great art work and colors. The people working there on the streets needs to be a little less pushy in my opinion telling us where to go. A few times is okay, but constantly is pretty irritating. I loved our experience here. Lovely place to come and I'm looking forward to come back again and spend more than half a day!

You may find Indian food inside..big Bollywood sets and too many photogenic place... almost all the ride are not for child below than 4 years...!! I recently visited Dubai Parks and Resorts, and it was a great experience. The place is well-organized with different theme parks like Motiongate, Legoland, and Bollywood Parks, offering something fun for all ages. The Riverland area is also beautiful for walking, dining, and taking photos. I really appreciated that they have clean and well-maintained washrooms and also prayer rooms available, which makes it very convenient for visitors. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything felt safe and family-friendly. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a day of fun and entertainment in Dubai.

What to say . We staked at lapida hotel and resorts to being the resorts . Wasted 2 days going to Lego land and the water park . Waste of time . Our expectation from Lego Dubai was at least to match Uk Lego land but it was no thing . Even it is newer but look pale and I will not recommend it. The only nice thing we found is the indoor mini cities .

We had such a lovely time exploring the Mini World display near Dubai Parks and Resorts. While strolling around the beautiful Riverland lake, we unexpectedly found a whole collection of miniature monuments from around the world. From the Eiffel Tower and White House to the Sydney Opera House, Taj Mahal, Burj Khalifa, and so many more all recreated in cute, detailed models. It turned out to be an instant world tour for the kids! In just one hour, they learned about famous landmarks from different countries, asked questions, and excitedly matched the names with what they’ve seen in books. It’s a simple, free, and educational stop that adds so much value to your visit. Highly recommend taking a walk through this area it’s peaceful, scenic, and surprisingly informative for children.

This place is awesome! Multiple parks to enjoy and have fun at! Today I went to Real Madrid World and it was unimaginable! I flew to the sky on the swing tower ride and had genuinely thought I had ascended to heaven! All the way from that attraction I could see the airport and a bunch of other stuff, which includes the other parks of course! There is also the foal coaster which is very, very incredible! It is a spinning ride, also my favorite has got to be the wooden coaster! It was big and gave me a great time! I would not reccomdnd for ages above 50. There are important experiences but I am not going to spoil the magic! I stayed at one of the resorts, it’s a must. I will leave reviews on every park so stay tuned! 😁

Riverland has some of the best photogenic spots All the themeparks were great but motiongate is the best

An amazing place for children and adults alike. Ample parking. They have buggies to ferry you from main entrance to multiple gates. Couple of rides weren't working, but mostly are. Some rides open after 2 or 3 pm. Though it started filling up by 2 pm, wait time for rides didn't exceed 15 minutes anywhere. Madagascar ride was most thrilling. Bullet train was equally chilling, but outdoors, so you atleast can see what you're getting into. If you reach by 1 PM, you can cover 80% by 6PM. Lunch was at Mr. Ping's noodle shop. Great food!

We had a great time at Motiongate Dubai! The park is clean, we'll organized, and full of fun rides and shows. My kids really enjoyed it, especially the themed areas and character experiences. A perfect family destination, we’ll definitely visit again!

Such an unforgettable Halloween experience at Motiongate Dubai! 🎃👻 We visited with the whole family and absolutely loved it — from the spooky decorations and live shows to the fun “Smurfoween” area for kids. The park atmosphere was amazing, the staff were super friendly, and everything was so well organized. The mix of thrilling rides and family-friendly activities made it a perfect day for all ages. We especially loved how beautifully themed everything was for Halloween — it truly felt magical! ✨ Highly recommend visiting before November 2nd — you’ll have the best time! 💜

The train ride is free from riverland to motiongate , however while exiting the park you need to pay for the train ride, No other mode of transportation available. It is built beautifully , however , the staff seems to lack any motivation to run the place. You pay full price on a weekday, however no shows are available. Two rollercoasters were closed And one broke down ! Avoid Mondays and Tuesdays, if at all you decide to go. Infants height was checked before every ride , the height and is of inferior quality and is meant for adults , if it comes out or gets wet ok the infants hand , you need to get either a new band or get the height checked before every rude. No directions or clarity on type of ride. Physical maps were not available. The map itself is not clear. They really had to put in great effort to make such a nice place be such a horrible experience. Nanny passes were refused with entertainer passes. However , no such condition was mentioned.

Motiongate Dubai is a fantastic theme park, especially for movie lovers. The rides are well-designed, the theming is top-notch, and the DreamWorks zone is a highlight for families. Go early to avoid long queues and make sure to stay for the shows — they’re surprisingly good!

Legoland theme park and water park is an absolutely amazing experience and a true heaven for children. My family had a wonderful time exploring both parks, and the detailed LEGO builds and interactive rides sparked so much creativity. ​Tip for Visiting: I highly recommend dedicating one full day to each park (Theme Park on Day 1, Water Park on Day 2). Trying to rush through both in a single day means you miss out on a lot of the fun and enjoyment. Splitting them up allowed us to savor the experience and make the most of our tickets. ​A Quick Note on Food: The food inside the park is a bit expensive, which is typical for a theme park, but the quality was decent and it was definitely worth it for the convenience and to keep the awesome day going. ​Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we left with tired, happy kids and incredible memories! We will definitely be back.

I went for a full day access with my 8 and 4 years old kids. All I can say that it was a wonderful experience for all of us. The park was very organized and clean starting from the entrance to the main hall, and going to the deferent parts of the park. The shows were amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My advice: 1) Get an online ticket and try to book 1 day prior to get a discounded tickets 2) Go early at opening time to have most of the parks covered 3) Start your journey with the indoor activities at day time and the outdoors when the heat cools down 4) Buy a refill Mug or 2 since this will cut down the costs.

I visited LEGOLAND Dubai with my family (Wife 5 years son and 10 months Daughter) and we all had an absolutely amazing time! The park is perfect for young kids- everything is colourful, creative and designed to spark imagination. My son especially loved driving school, the mini roller coaster and the interactive Lego building area. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the park was clean and well- organised. There were plenty of shaded spots and water play area, which made it comfortable even on a warm day. The mini LEGO versions of famous landmarks in MINILAND were impressive for both kids and adults. We spent almost the entire day exploring, and my son didn’t want to leave! It’s a wonderful place for families with younger children- educational, fun and full of excitement. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dubai with Kids!

Had a fantastic family weekend away to celebrate our son's 5th birthday. The pool was closed but the hotel gave us access to 2 parks as compensation and we had two wonderful days at legoland Park and the waterpark. In the morning and evening time the children loved the activities provided in the fun zone and the creative workshop. Special mention to Habib in the fun zone who was so patient and helpful with my boys during the car make and race activity. Other shout outs include Ramana aswell as Sandy, Solomon and Emem. They kept our kids entertained for the rise and shine and duplo steam. Stayed in the fully themed pirate room which our boys oved. I would recommend getting to breakfast earlier rather than later as it gets very busy. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

This review is for the WATERPARK of Legoland: The entry fee is very expensive for what you get. We’ve been there several times and there’s always some slides closed. The food is terrible. It’s only fast food and it tastes if it was all fried in old oil. Some staff is nice but some can’t even smile which is a shame in a kids place. The areas for little ones are not great, not so much do do. The build a boat station was nice though and some slides are quite fun. But all in all that’s the least good waterpark around Dubai.

Legoland Dubai is a perfect place for families and kids every corner is full of creativity and happiness. The rides are safe, well-managed, and ideal for younger children. Absolutely magical stay! The hotel is fully themed from LEGO walls to treasure hunts in the room. Staff are friendly, food is great, and kids loved every moment.

This is a very nice place to visit during November, December and January. For UAE residents to access the places, you need to cross border through Al Ain border checkpost by getting travel insurance for car and Oman E-visa. Don't attempt to visit this place via Hatta checkpost as the roads are fenced on both the sides and you can be caught for deviating Offroad before finishing final checkpoint. Easiest route is through Al Ain.

Fabulous place for birding. It is basically an ideal place for camping and tenting but very good for birding too. You can see not only water birds but several rare species among the bushes on the sand. And it is an excellent for driving too.

For cycling loves there is a 50 km Al Qudra cycling track runs along the lakes and desert; bike rentals are nearby. Walking paths around the lakes make for easy hikes and photography stops. For picnics lovers there is many shaded spots or grassy areas ideal for picnics. Perfect for landscape, sunset, and wildlife shots. Due to minimal light pollution, night visits reveal a clear desert sky. Its amazing after midnight far from city lights. Seasonal migratory birds make it a popular spot for enthusiasts. After all, Al Qudra Lakes offers a peaceful desert escape, combining water, wildlife, and wide-open skies. It’s perfect for sunset watchers, nature lovers, cyclists, and families who want a natural retreat from the city. All good, perfect, greens around, but this music around on barbecue zone is awful! People came here to enjoy piece and nature, and from any corner this stupid extremely loud music! Please prohibit this!!🙏

I used to go there for the past 10 years, perfect place for camping 🏕️ with friends or families

My family and I, along with a friend, visited the lake, a place that was calm and quiet. We reached our destination in the evening to enjoy the sunset. However, since it was the weekend, the area was crowded with vehicles. Many people were setting up tents for overnight camping. One major difficulty we faced was the lack of washrooms. If you’re visiting with family and kids, this can be a significant issue. I didn’t see any washrooms, though I’m not sure if they were available elsewhere. Another challenge was the lack of proper lighting. This might be intentional due to the presence of wild animals—we saw many deer at night. Additionally, the place was dusty, with vehicles constantly moving around. If you have breathing issues, it’s better to carry a mask. There are no nearby shops, so it’s best to bring enough water, a camping light, and all necessary supplies. The place is well-maintained, and I loved the ambience—a perfect escape from the busy town. You can do grilling, but you’ll need to carry everything yourself. The lake is beautiful, and we spotted flamingos, various ducks, and deer at night. However, navigating the roads at night can be difficult, as they are confusing, and you cannot entirely rely on maps.

It's a beautiful free family beach you can visit at corniche. -Nice seating area to relax and see the beach. -open air gym is located near the washroom -open for swimming -basketball or volleyball court is there but I think it's needs to be booked before. -Good parking space too - water sports activities are also there but chargeable -cafes are located, quite spacious both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement

It's a very beautiful beach destination on Corniche. It's free. It has got a large parking space just on the opposite side of the today, probably free. Atmosphere over the weekend is especially lovely with live shows, beach volleyball. It has got excellent facilities of restroom, shower and changing rooms along with prayer rooms.

It is very well organized and nice. Good to spend the evening with friends and family. food selection is nice, and I like the design very much, especially the lighting of the place. I enjoyed my time a lot, would definitely go back!

Best time to visit during winter, open market with different type of shops and variety of coffees & restaurants. Good place for family and better to bring your kids’ own cycles and scoters.

Al Bahar is quite scenic and beautiful. Distance between beach and eateries is not too long...so it's completely safe if kids are playing on the beach and mums are enjoying coffee @Filli :)

Great public beach with lots of Cafe and play areas for kids. After sunset you can relax ob super comfy chairs and enjoy marina Mall view.

Everything about the sea, i love...so when sea meets foodies...i lovest 🥰🥰🥰 i love the churros. I was not able to try the pink burger but I will do, soon...😘

A nicely kept UNESCO site. It's basically farm lands kept irrigated by the ingenious fulajs. The thing that makes it different is that we are technically in the middle of a desert and with that fact, the appreciation heightens as you are surrounded by pretty lush and varied plantations. Don't miss the centre to learn more about the site history with an interactive projection.

Visited Al Ain Oasis in mid-July to explore the beautiful date palm plantations. We rented a 4-wheel cycle and rode around the oasis, which was a fun experience! Saw fresh red dates and the traditional irrigation system through water channels – very interesting. The place is perfect for nature lovers and photographers, but July was extremely sunny, so our photos didn’t turn out great. I recommend visiting between November and January for a better experience. A peaceful and refreshing spot!

Visiting Al Ain Oasis was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve had in the UAE. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place is absolutely unique it feels like stepping back in time, surrounded by pure, untouched nature. The oasis is vast and incredibly peaceful, with thousands of palm trees creating shade and a magical atmosphere. We rented a quadricycle to tour around, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Riding slowly through the shaded paths, with the sound of birds and the breeze passing through the trees, felt almost like entering another world. It’s a true escape from the fast rhythm of city life. One of the highlights was discovering the Falaj irrigation system, a centuries-old technique that still works today. At the end of the visit, the explanation about how it functions was fascinating and gave so much cultural and historical depth to the experience. There is also a charming coffee shop inside the oasis with beautiful design and an incredible view of the palm groves. I truly recommend this experience to everyone living in or visiting the UAE. Whether you are looking for history, culture, or simply a peaceful connection with nature,it is a hidden treasure that should not be missed. ** Free parking available at the entrance.

Great place to walk and perhaps cycle. You can rent a bicycle or a quadricycle and explore the place. One of the cafes we wanted to explore was closed. Lots of nature, very peaceful. Not much to do apart from enjoy the calm and quiet.

A peaceful green retreat in the heart of Al Ain! Al Ain Oasis is a beautifully shaded area with winding pathways, hundreds of date palms, and traditional falaj irrigation channels. Walking through the oasis feels calm and refreshing, giving a glimpse of the city’s agricultural heritage. Hi this is a beautiful Oasis which was once naturally formed. Now a days they bring water from far sources. Although it is lot greener compared to other places, still it was very hot during the day. And there were no activities. It is advised to visit during winters when there are programs and stalls. Nice and quiet place to spend with Nature.

I went there in mid-June, when there are few tourists! I didn't have guides, but I was just interested in seeing the date gardens. I was pleased, no one distracted me, I just rode my bike around everything. For the first time in my life I saw red dates. I saw artificial irrigation through water channels! In a word, it's very cool there for lovers of nature and oriental culture.

I visited the museum last year in 2024. Al Ain Palace Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in authentic Emirati culture, the life of Sheikh Zayed, and the pre-oil era, all at no cost. A rewarding and comprehensive experience, especially during a tour that includes Al Ain Oasis and Al Jahili Fort. If you plan a future visit after the renovations, be sure to check the official reopening date first.

We really enjoyed our time here. It doesn’t take long to explore, an hour and a half at most. Entry: Free The palace museum is very clean and well kept. The staff were so polite. We were traveling with our cat, and we couldn’t just leave her in the car alone during the extreme hot weather and they allowed her to stay in the staff room while we visited ☺️💕

A must see place if you are looking to know about the founding father of UAE, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The palace is well maintained and takes us back in time. There are well preserved artefacts within the palace. One can spend an hour easily exploring and definitely worth a visit if you're in Al Ain.

A good place to know more about the Emirate's culture and tradition. A big museum and many traditional things are displayed. The location is good and UAE architecture is also fantastic. A must visit place for tourists and children. Located in the middle of Al ain. Easily accessible area. Less.crowd and nicely we can spend our valuable time here with our family.

a nice museum that actually used to be the former home of the former ruler of the UAE. a beautiful home to walk through and lots of history to learn. we were greeted with gahwa and dates. the staff was very friendly in explaining things to us. there are restrooms available. unfortunately a majority of the museum is outdoors and the parts that are inside do not have any AC. the parking is outdoors and not shaded either. still worth a visit!

Such a beautiful, serene place to visit. There were lots of great spots for photoshoot. Went here to do quick snaps of my daughter in her National Day outfit. Photos turned out great. 💯 Parking & entrance are free. The best time to go is during the golden hours because the sunset view is awemazing!!!! 😍

Our visit to Al Ain Zoo and the Safari was truly wonderful. The zoo is clean, well-organized, and home to an impressive variety of animals. The Safari experience was definitely the highlight our guide was excellent, sharing so many interesting facts about the animals throughout the tour. We even got the chance to feed the giraffes, which was such a special and memorable moment! Just a little tip, make sure to book the safari in advance, as spots can fill up quickly. A perfect activity for families, nature lovers, or anyone wanting to discover wildlife up close in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Always loved this place as a kid growing up in alain. They have changed their interior space now. While I liked a lot of things, really miss the old layout. It was easier to walk through. Buggies are very convenient. Currently animals are reduced as they are doing maintenance work to the zoo. Hope to see more animals soon. Also now we have to pay extra to see some animals like giraffe, zebra, elephants.

Never been a fan of a zoo as it’s always been sad to see animals taken from their real habitat. However, when one visits the Al Ain zoo you immediately feel different about it. Only as good as what the UAE do things - this visit was actually quite heartfelt! What an incredible experience for kids and the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre is so well done. Well worth the visit and we thank the United Arab Emirates for such wonderful opportunities. Shukran!

Great experience. A well arranged Zoo with the wild animals. Good parking facility. Supporting staffs. Pram available at reception for rent. If you are tired then paid car available to move around in each pavilions. Tickets can be booked from their website.

Our visit to Al Ain Zoo and Safari was amazing! The zoo is clean, well-organized, and full of fascinating animals. The Safari was the highlight — our guide was great, and feeding the giraffes was an unforgettable experience. Tip: book the safari in advance, as it fills up fast. A perfect outing for families and nature lovers — highly recommended!

The zoo is very well designed and maintained. Amazing level of hygiene all over the place. Some parts of the zoo were closed either for maintenance or other reasons. The bus or truck tour is really amazing with Emaraty national tour guide. Plenty of valuable information provided along the route about the animals that were encountered. The tour is a bit pricy but worth it in general. They have daily show around 6:30 but it was not up to the level of expectations. Parking fee is more than expected and we haven’t seen well prepared parking area. The road to the zoo gives the visitor the feeling that it’s a real safari. It really worth the time and effort to get there.

Visited Jebel Hafeet in October and really enjoyed the trip. The weather was very pleasant — cool breeze, clear blue skies, and the views from the top were absolutely stunning. The drive up the mountain itself is smooth and scenic, with plenty of photo spots along the way. However, the only downside was that the public restrooms were closed during the day and only opened after 4 PM, which was quite inconvenient for visitors. Other than that, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy the view, and spend some peaceful time away from the city. Highly recommended for a short day trip or evening drive, especially during the cooler months.

Jebel Hafeet is truly one of the most stunning natural landmarks I’ve visited. The drive up the mountain is absolutely beautiful, with winding roads surrounded by different formations of rock and panoramic views at every turn. Once you reach the top, the view is simply breathtaking, you can see the vast desert stretching out below and the city of Al Ain. It’s the perfect spot for photography, a relaxing drive, or simply appreciating nature’s beauty. Prepered time to go during winter season to avoid heat of the sun😅😅 Highly recommend visiting Jebel Hafeet if you want to experience one of the UAE’s most scenic and peaceful spots. A must see destination! 🌄

It was by mistake we visited this place. Went to nearby Al Maha fuel station the guys pointed us to this location mentioning about it natural beauty and fresh water flow 💦🏰 but not at all disappointing would recommend to come with kids and family. 👍💕

We visited Al Hazm Castle during the Eid holidays in 2025, and it was one of the best experiences. The castle is well-maintained, and they provide an audio guide, which helped us understand the history very well. Definitely worth a visit.

This fort seems to be heavily militarised in its hey days. Lots of cannons (the cabin towers are amazing), secret passage and a pretty substantial jail. There's a gift shop with all sorts of crafts. I am not sure though if every items there is authentic.

It is one of the best forts i ever visited,the voice guided tour made it more enjoyable. Every thing was amazing,the staff was very helpful,we spent around an hour or so in the fort.you need to buy a ticket and the rates are very reasonable,the ticket price varies and it is different for the tourists except omani locals. A must visit place,there is a musjid next to the fort who has a flowing water ablution system and I liked it m.

Must see experience just off the main highway. This fort is extremely well maintained and also allows visitors to go through old passageways. Audio guides are available and complement the visit greatly.

Nice for a one-time visit. Wow, what a view from the top. You can capture some stunning photographs from here. There is a canal on the back side of the fort. When I go there, there is no water in the canal; however, there may be in the spring.

The scenery is something to die for, the place was not crowded, it was very comfortable to walk around and explore even qithout the guide as everything was labeled, explained and well-documented in both languages. This fort in Nakhal is approximately an hour's drive from Muscat. It's a small yet beautiful fort that has undergone recent renovation. Unlike Nizwa fort, which is huge, this fort is relatively small. Expatriates are required to pay an entry fee of OMR 2, while small kids can enter for free. This fort is an excellent place for a quick visit to a historical site..

The famous fort at Nakhal is around hour and half away from Muscat. it's an easy drive to the fort. the fort itself is quite grand and has a lot history behind it. there is not a lot to see inside the fort except for the main watch tower and the exhibition hall. Most of the rooms are in locked condition.the area is not well marked. worth a visit as a day trip from Muscat. Toilet are avilable in outside of fort. Entry Fee: 2 Rial for Adult Children can visit without fee

It's a beautiful and very interesting fort around 50 minutes drive from muscat. Entry fee is 3 rials for adults and kids are free. Fort is well maintained. 8 pm is the last time to enter. Meusium is interesting with beautiful and scenic views from top.

Jabel Shams or the Sun Mountain is the highest mountain in GCC.You don't need 4x4 to go there, you may use simple car. The temperature is very cold especially at night. During winter there is a chance of snow. Many people are visiting Jabel Shams to camp. There are so many camping sites in Jabel shams.

I did the Via Feratta here. It was great. Had a coffee and a cookie at the café at the top which was great as well. Plenty of parking, great views. Definitely worth the trip

Highest mountain in Oman. Stunning view of mountains, labelled as the Grand Canyon of Arabia. Temperature drops at 11 at the time we went ( Feb 7th 2025) We went our entire team from Bahrain and visiting such place is first time. We left from Muscat around 3.30am and reached morning 7am. Temperature was awesome.. It’s a perfect location for all who loves adventure. It is best to go with a 4WD. The terrain is a little bit challenging. A perfect spot for camping and hiking.

We did the balcony walk W6 and spent about 6 hours return (with photo stops, lunch stop and we spent quite a bit of time at the oasis) you will need good shoes as there are lots of scrambling rocks. Lots of goats along the way! When you reach a place that seems like the end, look for the flag, it should direct you to go up the rocks a little bit to find the oasis. Lots of people turn back at just the last point. We also saw some deserted buildings there. We came in January and lots of people came early in the morning too, it’s quite cold in the morning and with the sun it’s ok. But when we came out at noon it’s still quite cloudy so it was quite cold. We came here with a normal car but a 4WD would be handy.

We traveled 2 hours round trip and we had a blast. Not to be too dizzy but we still manage to pass each other easily. It's called the Grand Canyon of Oman and while a bit smaller

Simply breathtaking view and location makes this my favourite accommodation in Oman. The morning vibes were unmatched - especially when I was having coffee on the terrace surrounded only by the view of the local nature and mountains. The rooms were simple but clean and had everything we needed for the one night we stayed in the area. It's a bit of a trek to get from your car but the hotel staff was kind enough to help us carry the bags. They also accommodated us last minute after a mishap with another hotel so overall we were super happy with the service and hospitality. Thank you!

Misfah Old House was an absolute outstanding stay on our journey through Oman. It is located perfectly in the little village, on the route of the little village circuit. We stayed a total of three nights in the Old House, and were really happy with everything. The service was friendly and really personal, as both the owners, as well as the hotel staff helped us with our daily program, and indulged us in every way (especially with wonderful fresh juices). The rooms were small, but enough since you’re out during the day, and beds were really comfy. The food was delicious (both breakfast and dinner), and especially the goat at the buffet was breathtaking (really soft and rich in flavor). Thank you again for the great stay, and the little birthday surprise you organized for us!

Nice simple accomodation, with traditional room and shared bathroom. Not too busy when stayed so had the bathroom to ourselves. Friendly welcome from the hosts and great balcony for sunset and dinner. Buffet style meals for dinner and breakfast. Good experience for one night to explore the old town and gardens.

Didn't stay the night but enjoyed very fresh fruit juices at the roof restaurant. Gorgeous veny, very quiet and laid back, tucked under the old MIsfah town above you. Shadows of palms dance over the old mud brick buildings and the ancient Iflaj water irrigation system. Well worth a visit if you are a resident in the city or a passing tourist.

It's at the top side of the beautiful village. You can get there with your regular salon. However, you will need to walk some 5 minutes to this specific motel. I rate it the best out of the rest. Clean & specious room with a beautiful balcony overlooking wide palm trees. Comfortable bed & white clean sheets. We were welcomed with coffee & dates at the reception and fruit plate in the room. Buffet needs to be improved. Decent & welcoming staff. I would go back again.

First of all, we wereńt too lucky with the weather and had to stay in the room due to lots of rain. So, our feedback is for the location itself. Location is certainly interesting for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The village itself is interesting to walk around to understand the history and how they are organized with water. Guest House itself: I would downgrade the service part for the food. We did not like it at all (dinner) and other guests were not too happy either. The views, location and welcome process are wonderful though. Food options: There are coffee shops which seem to serve reasonable food too.

We visited Al Hoota Cave on a holiday, and it turned out to be one of the most enchanting experiences in Oman. As always, being with my dear friends made the trip even more special. The moment you step inside the cave, you feel transported into a different world — for a while, you will be in and out, wondering which part of the globe you are actually in. Once you reach the main gate, you take your tickets and wait for the small train that carries visitors to the cave entrance. That short train trip itself is a fine piece of mesmerising experience — the views and the anticipation build up the excitement before you even step inside. The guided tour takes you through millions of years of natural history, with spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, and an underground lake that is home to rare blind fish. The atmosphere inside is cool, calm, and almost magical, making it a refreshing escape from the outside heat. Outside, the museum and displays add, more insight into the geology and history of the cave. Everything is well-maintained, organized, and makes the visit smooth and informative. If you’re in or around Nizwa, this is definitely a must-visit attraction. Whether with family, colleagues, or friends, Al Hoota Cave is one of those places that leaves you amazed and makes you appreciate the hidden natural wonders of Oman.

Great place to visit if you are in the area! There is a comprehensive museum in the main building. The cave itself is around 2 minutes away from a golf cart, which is included in the price. You can walk inside the cave by yourself or with a guide, we decided to go by ourselves. Complete walk last around 30 minutes and it’s very interesting to see how nature and time are capable of building amazing things like this cave! I took one star because the cost is a bit too much in my opinion.

What an experience, well worth a detour. Wonderful nature creation. The tour through the cave was lovely, well built staircase and interesting information boards on the way. In addition to that there is an information centre and climbing wall which is charged in addition to the ticket. The only thing that could be improved is the coffee machine as the cafe did not serve latte or cappuccino 🤭

Amazing experience and absolutely breathtaking inside. We weren't prepared for the humidity inside, it was so humid we were dripping with sweat. The walk isn't fit for anyone who struggles with stairs as there are alot of them. Its also slippery so you need to wear sensible footwear. Took about an hour to walk through but well worth the time to visit. The feeling of cold air as you exit the cave was so nice!

The place is an amazing natural wonder. But the place needs more attractions (not just the cave), like a better museum, science activities for students, VR, audio guide. Also the lights in the cave needs more creativity.

Booked tickets through the online portal but never received the confirmation email. Staff at the entrance took the trouble to verify our card payment and with just a short delay we were allowed in. The troublesome train from the visitor center to the cave has now been removed altogether and replaced with a golfcart shuttle service... which worked fine. Cave itself is impressive in scale, but somewhat underwhelming in stalactite formations compared to some other caves in the region. The lighting and path are excellent however, making for a pleasant stroll through the cave.

Nizwa Fort is a significant historical landmark that attracts many tourists eager to explore its rich history and impressive architecture. The nearby souq area is just a short walk away and is definitely worth visiting for its traditional shops, local crafts, and vibrant atmosphere. While the entry fee is slightly higher than expected, the experience of exploring the fort and its surroundings makes it well worth it.

Very interesting. You’re allowed to walk around everywhere and check out all the rooms. A recommendation would be to include more furnishings to give a better feel of what the fort would have been like back in the day. We spent about an hour there over sunset, great view over Nizwa. Be sure to walk around the gardens where there are animals including camels and deer.

I loved it! Well organised exhibitions, the fort is well maintained and renovated. Compared to Bahla, I think Nizwa fort is such more informative and interactive. In the garden there are some animals, too. The entrance fee is 5 OMR.

This is the main fort of Nizwa city, which used to be the capital of Oman. Excellent tourist attraction spot. A great example of ancient Omani Architecture. View from the top is also amazing.

Nice place to go. It’s possible to arrive in the morning and leave in the evening. Deep inside, I wished to see something more like it’s original - more raw, maybe - but the place is rebuilt. Make sure to eat the crepe there. Fort and market are in the same place, so don’t worry. about transport between them. The market is very nice. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go to the real ruins.

Sprawling structure with extensive walls, gates and reinforcements. The old souq is hidden within the walls, as are some hotels, museums. Vehicle traffic only allowed at certain times inside the walls, would be even better if this was barred altogether.

Amazing place to visit as a tourist. Local Omani market place with lots of amazing options of souvenirs to buy from. The ambient is also very nice with Omani incense smell all around, old heritage buildings, and beautiful crafts. A must visit place if you are in Nizwa city.

Nizwa Central Souq market is located near the castle in Nizwa. It's a cultural and historical hub in Oman, known for its traditional crafts like silver jewelry, unique pottery, aromatic spices and textiles. The market offers a variety of goods from fresh produce to handmade. Don't miss to taste dates, honey and delicious halwa. Prices are bit higher, prefer to buy goods from small shopkeepers, they deal fairly !!!

Nizwa Central Souq and its surrounding area are the main reasons I visited Nizwa, traveling so many kilometers from Muscat. The market area has a timeless charm, with narrow lanes, traditional shops, and local crafts that feel like stepping into an Aladdin-era setting. The famous Nizwa Fort is also very close, adding to the historical and cultural experience. Don’t miss trying the local Halwa—it’s famous for being incredibly tasty!

A very full souq (traditional market) with something for everyone. The inner souq has a wide spread of aromatic coffee and dates, authentic Omani frankincense and myrrh, soaps, halawa sweets, local veggies and more. The outside soups are where you go to find pottery, jewelry and the emblematic Omani knifes (khanjar) along with rare guns like vintage Martini Henry rifles. One shop even has a collection display (not for intl sale) of ancient rhino hide buckler style shields. Come to the Nizwa souq if you want to get all your souvenir shopping done in one go, and see some interesting cultural pieces along the way.

This place was really good. Perfect time to visit is from 4 to 6 pm where those evening sunlight will glow the streets and everything feels dreamy and we feel like we are in some kind of aladdin world. Comparitively prices are a bit over, but the sweets here in the market are ao tasty and worth the money, always go to those small shops.

Great place for watching sunset. Long drive from Muscat, before the sunset you can walk around the old town, shopping in ghe local market. You have to pay the ticket for entrance and the price is pretty expensive than what you got from this place

Fort Bahla is less a historical treasure and more a luxury high-rise for bats. Step inside and you’re greeted by… nothing. Well, nothing except the constant flutter of wings overhead and a few sad museum glass cases — all empty, like someone stole the exhibits during the Bronze Age. I briefly got excited about a “museum of doors,” but no, not Jim Morrison, not even a funky carpenter’s passion project — just a few dull doors looking like they’d been rescued from a skip. The only real reward is the view from the top, which is nice, though you’ll probably enjoy it while a bat swoops past your head in casual ownership of the place.

One of the oldest and biggest forts in Oman, with a lot of steps to climb! Limited information available about the details of rooms etc. Beautiful panoramic views from the top .

I actually really enjoyed my time visiting here! I don’t understand the negative reviews. The views are gorgeous, the renovation has done really well and the bats are SO COOL!! The weak point for sure is the lack of detailed information throughout the complex as it’s quite large. Yes, some aspects have placards but they’re all minimal. Even the “door museum” has a complete lack of info on the history or the doors or the purpose of the exhibit. Can pay the entry fee by card.

Impressive! We arrived just before sunset, and were quite free to roam around in all the rooms, nicks and crannys of the fort. Suprisingly so! The pottery shop was not open at 17, so if that is important to you I would make sure to be there at an earlier time.

Nice historic location but when we visited many of the exhibits were closed which was a shame. Not a huge amount of information to read about the place but spectacular views from the top. We preferred nearby Jabreen Castle.

I’ve been to Bahla Fort twice now, and every visit feels just as amazing as the first. The fort has such a strong historical charm — its massive walls, old towers, and the quiet desert surroundings make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. I really enjoy exploring the narrow pathways and imagining the stories hidden within those ancient stones. It’s one of those places that truly connects you to Oman’s rich history. I always love going there and can’t wait to visit again!

Ticket fee is 4 OMR for foreign visitors, in combination with Mosque Museum behind the Fort it is 5,5 OMR per person. Given the limited information that is provided inside nowadays or no map with information is it not worth the money in my honest opinion. Although it is a very nice and big fort with nice rooms and views. Given the price and provided information I would suggest visiting Nizwa Fort or Jabreen Castle.

Beautiful castle with audio tour. Lot of staircases interconnecting the different areas of the castle. There was an old Omani gentleman with his potters wheel , making varieties of pots, including a very magical water jug. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Amazing castle, very well preserved, uniquely and meticulously designed, North a resident and a defence. Make sure you pay to have the guided tour with a guide and not the audio guide. The stories and explanations were evident, and helped us appreciate other similar diets and castles.

This is a lovely castle with an interesting history. It is more extensive than it looks upon arrival. We purchased the tour and the audio guide, which was an iphone pre-loaded with audio for the numbered stops. Overall the audio guide was great, however, stop 11 was off and some of the numbered items had sound effects that competed with the narration. There is also a lovely cafe on site.

Jabreen Castle is the kind of place that makes you feel like you just walked into a history book, only better because the ceilings are real and not printed on paper. The rooms are full of surprises, from secret staircases to wooden ceilings painted with such care that you cannot help staring like a confused tourist, which I happily was. The castle is solid, calm, and impressive in a way that makes you wonder how anyone ever had the energy to build it without modern tools. Every window frames a view so perfect it feels planned by someone with great taste. If you want a castle that shows real Omani history and makes you take far too many photos, this is the one.

We stopped for a guided tour with Buthaina and had a super informative and fun experience - it’s very worth taking a tour as the castle is much bigger than it appears and Buthaina even suggested great photo spots and took some pictures for us.

Absolutely beautiful- highly recommended visit. You need some time here as it’s huge - but worth the time
