Tel Shilo, the biblical city with a rich history and spiritual significance, is a must-visit destination. It was the location of the Tabernacle for centuries and where the mysterious Feast of Love was celebrated during Joshua's time. The site offers multimedia shows including a 3D hologram of the Tabernacle vessels and a movie about Hannah and Samuel. The ongoing archaeological dig is fascinating, revealing new insights into this ancient place.
So much history, amazing views, picnic areas with hammocks. Clean and well maintained. Probably better to schedule a tour rather than go it alone if you truly want to understand all of the history of the place but alone is still awesome
Jeremy S — Google review
It's kind of amazing for us to visit an ancient site, which could be dated back to thousands of year. All sites are well-documented in old testament!
Chiang J — Google review
Haven’t been here personally. I just wanted to add some History. These were the lands of Joshua, from the Bible. Joshua’s Inheritance, from the Lord. Near Mount Ephraim, Timnath-serah. And near Joshua’s place of burial. 🪦 🙏🏽 It would be so amazing to walk these lands and see them. Joshua, 19:49-51.
Jon V — Google review
Great archaeological dig that is going on. It’s amazing that about 40 years ago, there was nothing there until a group of nine families set out with the same dream to find the place of Shiloh. Now it is a great place and they have a great vineyard in the area. Wine you can get from nowhere else in the world.
Joshua L — Google review
Shiloh is a great place to visit, I don’t know if it was just me but you could feel the presence of the tabernacle! In the Biblical heartland of Samaria Shiloh offers a movie experience to discover the tabernacle and history surrounding this area, with the tabernacle said to be here for 369 years.
Ian W — Google review
Impressive site and well kept. Nice gift shop with snacks, hologram helps people understand the history of Shilo, as does the video farther into the site. Places are well described on signs. Always a pleasure to visit!
Bryan B — Google review
Tel Shilo is a must go to understand the reason why the Jews are commanded to celebrate the feasts. There is so much to see and understand and they are constantly upgrading themselves from many years ago when I last visit them. I especially love the media presentation of Shiloh. As they said a picture speaks a thousand words. I finally understood why the Jews do the things they do religiously.
David L — Google review
Such an profoundly moving visit to the 3,500-year-old biblical site in the ancient city of Mishkan Shilo. Enjoyed the opportunity to view the Chronicles of Shiloh in the Seers tower during our visit to the area of the Prophet Samuel and biblical heros Hannah, Elkanah and others. To be able to make Aliyah once to the site if of the Mishkan HaKodesh like our forefathers did three times a year, when they made a pilgrimage for the three high holy days before the Mishkan was moved to Mount Moriah in Jerusalem (The Temple mount). Feel extremly blessed being able to access the area of Israel. While it was wet an rainy day it was a truly memorable experience and a moving one.

An amazing place to see how soap was produced, the owner is really nice and gives you a great overview and can answer all of your question. Also they only sell their own products like virgin olive oil soap bars and some with additional goat milk. Both are great and the prices are really good.
Alsu — Google review
What are you expecting to see in this amazing place is the old way to produce soap, you should buy and try this traditional soap No chemicals added to the soap bars
Mohammad S — Google review
I had a life-changing experience at the Albader Soap Factory. The wisdom of the owner made me want to drop everything and pursue a passion of soap making. It is worth a stop for anyone going to Nablus, make sure to get one of each soap as the they are all well worth it. An absolute must-do for anyone in the area.
Matias O — Google review
The most gentle yet effective soap I have ever tried. I have used it on my face, body, hair, and on clothes to remove stains. It is essentially an all purple soap. Seeing its production, learning the history and its significance for the local community was truly an unforgettable experience. Definitely a must-go when in Nablus.

Impressed by the place and it's history. More impressed by the owner passion and pride and values he embrassed to this traditional soap manufacturing. The owner was kind enough to give us of his time to tell us his story.
Hisham K — Google review
I love everything about Nablus, the people, the environment, the food and the knafeh. I wish we could have seen them make the soap but u fortunately it wasnt the time for manufacturing. Other than that it was great because there was a gentlemen there who explained to us how the process of soap making had be done for centuries.
Lina M — Google review
What a wonderful experience. We met the 5th generation owner of the Albader Soap Factory Amjad. He walked us through the Old Factory and educated us on their ancient process that is still used today to produce their all natural soap. The soap is amazing but the people behind the soap are truly wonderful as well. Thank you very much.

Birzeit brewing Co

Brewery
Food & Drink
If you find yourself in the charming town of Birzeit, make sure to stop by the Birzeit Brewing Co. This delightful family-run brewery offers a warm welcome from its passionate owner, who is eager to share insights into the brewing process. Visitors can enjoy an unpasteurized beer straight from the production line while learning about local brewing traditions and flavors unique to the region. The brewery also features a gift shop where you can purchase reasonably priced beers and local wines.
Great place! We showed up unannounced, but the friendly owner welcomed us in to have a look at the bottling process. He even gave us an unpasteurised beer to taste, right off the production line. Very friendly and cool place just north of Ramallah. There is a gift shop and beers and local wine very reasonably priced.

Jaffa Gate hostel

Mentioned on

Hostel
Sights & Landmarks
Jaffa Gate Hostel offers simple dorms and private rooms, along with amenities like a TV lounge and guest kitchen. The hostel is conveniently located near the Tower of David, also known as David's Citadel, which showcases Jerusalem's rich history through changing exhibitions and various activities for visitors of all ages. Situated by one of the main entrances to the Old City, the museum features artifacts from different periods in Jerusalem's history, providing a comprehensive narrative from ancient times to modern declarations.
Cheap, great location, very helpful and friendly workers. Do not expect luxury, it is very very basic, but correct and clean. Photos on booking corespond with reality. I could recommend it for people familiar with cheap hostels. I had shared room, there are also separate rooms. It was quite and quite cold, no windows. Have your towel etc.
Abc X — Google review
It is a really nice hostel with helpful staff They are friendly and nice to help all the stuff and questions , which help a lot And the room for dorm is in traditional stone , it is so cool ( a bit cold at night ) And good to go up to the rooftop to see the night view of Jerusalem , it is really beautiful and amazing ! All the best to the Jaffa Gate hostel ! And it is in a convenient location !
Yee T — Google review
Lovely cosy hostel in the heart of the old city and with easy access to all the main sights! The rooms are beautiful with stone walls and ceilings. The staff are kind, welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are great value for money and are cleaned daily. there is also a roof terrace with beautiful views over the city. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Irena R — Google review
Ok how to start, pros: the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostel is in an unbeatable location at Jaffa's gate. The price is very affordable considering where it is. It has very nice views at the second floor and you can hear the call to prayer from the minaret and the bells from the churches. The cons: WiFi is only available at the ground floor. The rooms are made of rock which is nice but terribly cold in winter. The staff provide us a heater superfast when we mention it. The toilet in the room was functional but maybe for some people it would not fit their standards. Dustier than other places I have been and maybe the beds are not the best. If you look for a central, functional place with nice people running it and you are in a badget but want to be in the old city this is your place. Also somehow and on the romantic side it was a nice experience to be here. Notice that maybe is not the best place to go with kids or elders.
Ernest D — Google review
Look, I'm not into posting bad reviews usually, but this place needs to get it together. The beds were horrible, the sheets, pillows and blankets were just disgusting. I asked for different ones but they all were the same. They do not clean the place at all. Just the floors. My room was so dusty that I sneezed all night and my eyes itched so bad. Zero sleep here. Internet is in lobby only. The boss was nice, but his worker kept charging me more than the boss did, then pocketed the extra, and told me not to tell him. Sheesh.
DIRTY G — Google review
Hi there me and my partner would like to stay at your hostel in March but out flight isn’t due to land in Tel-aviv until 21:15. We are just concerned we won’t be with you before 23:00 Is it possible for us to check in between 23:00 and 00:00
Ben D — Google review
Jaffa Gate Hostel has great location, we stayed for two nights on July 7th and 8th, and were supposed to be for 4 more days from the 23rd to the 27, but we cancelled as the room was very dirty, and when we told the lady did not say anything. To bad!!!

טיילת החומות הדרומית והצפונית

Museum
Sights & Landmarks
Visit the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem's Christian Quarter for a brief and informative overview of the city's rich history. After enjoying lunch in the area, take a stroll along the Ramparts, which offer stunning panoramic views of both the Old City and modern Jerusalem. The museum features one of the best vantage points to admire this beautiful cityscape.
Excellent must visit attraction on your trip to Jerusalem! For 25 shekel you can walk on top of the old city walls and see views into the Muslim and the other 3 quarters of the old city. So much work went into making this and you will be working hard and climbing a lot to make the journey but worth it! Best of all it was quite empty and not packed with tourists.
Y B — Google review
The Ramparts Walk is divided into two separate walks, totally just under two miles: the north side walk and the south side walk. Both are included in the admission ticket and both have their differences. The north side walk is the longer of the two and covers a far greater area, from the Jaffa Gate (on the west side of the Old City) to the Lions Gate (on the east side, approaching the Dome of the Rock). The south side walk is shorter but ends at a more convenient location, the Western Wall (or Kotel as it is known in Hebrew). The south side walk begins at the Tower of David (on the west side of the Old City, beside the Jaffa Gate) and continues around to the south side of the city, ending off between the Zion and Dung Gates. For those wishing to explore the Old City at ground level while already up on the ramparts, there are several places along the walks where one can descend. However, re-entry is only possible at the starts of both walks so be sure to plan accordingly. Plaques set up along the walks made identification of landmarks and sites easy with explanations in Hebrew, English and Arabic. From the north side walk, one passes over the Christian Quarter with the numerous churches and other Vatican buildings seen, sometimes below the wall! These include views of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of Flagellation, among many, many more. The walk carries on into the Muslim Quarter, where mosques and minarets, as well as schools and playing fields, can be seen from a unique angle. Crossing over the New Gate, the Damascus Gate, the Herod’s Gate and finally the Lions Gate, the north side walk covers a great deal of area and comfortable shoes should be worn as the rock walltops are uneven and can be difficult to walk on for some. The walk ends just after the Lions Gate, approaching the Dome of the Rock mosque and either one can descend and explore or one can turn back (turning back and descending at the Damascus Gate is a great way to see a lot on the way back, including an Arab souk).
Louie F — Google review
You cannot go around the whole jeurslaem but only half to Jewish temple Mount, as the Muslims reserved them the right to be the only ones to enter temple Mount, so the walk ends right next to this. The price was OK, the place was disgusting and neglected specially in the Muslim quarter. I wish someone would do something about this as it looks really bad on Jerusalem.
Nunes ( — Google review
When you enter Jaffa Gate, the place to buy tickets is on the left a few feet after you pass the entry stairs. Apparently I did the long walk. It took at least 40 minutes but I didnt pay attention. The walk itself is cool as you can see in the photos. Be prepared for uneven stepping and challenging staircases (high, narrow steps). I expect my knees will hurt tomorrow. The walk sort of ends abruptly when you realize you cannot go further and double back 50 feet to the actual exit sign, and down the stairs. Sort of lost, I approached some soldiers stationed at a gate only to learn that this was entry to the Muslim only section. I used Maps to figure out how to get back to the Jaffa starting point.
Trevor L — Google review
Rampart walk is divided into 2 separate walk north side and south side. South Rampart walk begins at Tower of David beside Jaffa gate and continues around to the South side of the city ending off Zion and dung gate. Plaque are set up along the walk for identification of landmarks with easy explanation in English, Hebrew and Arabic.
Asit R — Google review
Misleading Advertising on “Multiple Entry” Tickets The promotions and signage for the Ramparts Walk around the Old City of Jerusalem boast that the ticket (16 Israeli Shekels) is good for multiple entries for two days. It is not explicit, however, that there are only two entrances – both at the Jaffa Gata (one entrance each for the northern and southern routes). Consequently, if you decide to exit at the Zion Gate on the southern route – to go visit David’s Tomb, the Cenacle (also called the Coenaculum) where the Last Supper of Jesus is believed to have happened, and visit the gravesite of Oskar Schindler, who is credited with saving the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust – there is no way to get back up onto the Ramparts Walk to continue your journey to the Temple Mount. You have to walk along the streets all the way back to the Jaffa Gate and retrace your steps on the Rampart Walk to get to the Temple Mount. That said, the views from the Ramparts Walk are OK, particularly if you have already toured the Old City and can, therefore, identify the various sites along the way – because there is little to no signage on the Ramparts Walk about the sights inside and outside the wall. The limited signs that are posted focus on the wall itself and one or two buildings or sites just outside the wall. Often, however, views of the famous sites are blocked by ordinary concert buildings, razor-wire fences, parking lots, and lots filled with various types of junk. I’m not saying you should avoid the Ramparts Walk altogether. Just plan your route carefully so that when you exit, you know you cannot get back up on the wall.
Rich W — Google review
We stumbled upon this just before we were going to leave the old City because it was too crowded. Glad we did! You get some nice views of the city as you walk along the walls and it's not at all crowded. There is signage to tell you what you're looking at. Very reasonably priced entrance fee. Our young kids loved walking around up there.
Donella H — Google review

Flea & Street Markets
Mahaneh Yehudah Market is a renowned street market in Jerusalem, offering a wide array of goods including fruits, vegetables, apparel, and prepared foods. The market is also home to the recently renovated Yehudit Authentic Jerusalem Restaurant, known for its delectable dishes and comfortable atmosphere. At night, the market transforms into a vibrant and colorful hub with graffiti-covered shops and lively music. Visitors can enjoy fresh beer or try Arak, an anise liquor.
Maybe the most colorful markets in Israel (and one of the most in the world). People come here to buy food, to eat, to have drink with friends or just enjoy the atmosphere. Restaurants, bars, special vibe especially on Friday's noon which is very packed. Have attached light train station.
Shai N — Google review
One of my favorite spots in Jerusalem! you can grab fresh fruits, veggies, and groceries, and the food in the market (and all the little restaurants around it) is just amazing.
Adi A — Google review
Mahane Yehuda is a charming market in Jerusalem, full of colors, flavors, and cultures with a unique Jerusalem vibe. The market is lively and vibrant, though some shops can be expensive, and it’s often better to carry cash. Open most days, it gets very busy on Thursdays and Fridays, and is closed on Saturdays. Drivers should note there are many parking inspectors, and parking is paid – obeying the rules is recommended.
Marcus A — Google review
Best Israeli market experience. Small businesses good prices and everything you need as long as you can carry it or bring a wheeled shopping cart. Best coffee I ever had at Shuk Cafe. Fresh fish, meats, vegetables and fruit, candy assortments, baked goods, souvenirs, loud and noisy real authentic marketplace.
Esti G — Google review
One of the best markets I have been to in Israel. Extremely clean, and the place sells such a huge variety of items (fresh fruits, dried fruits, fish, sweets such as halva and baklava). There are many food options in or around the market, so it is a good place to grab some lunch or a bite if you are hungry. Definitely a good place to buy some Israeli snacks home
Nahshon — Google review
I learned about this market from friends who went and took a culinary tour here. I saw several of those tours and people looked like they were really enjoying it. I walked around on my own and it took a few hours. There are loads of fruit and vegetable stands, halvah stores, olives, spices, candy, a few Judaic stores, cell phone stores, meat and fish stands, places for gifts and loads of restaurants. It’s a great place to shop.
Tobi B — Google review
Probably the biggest food market in the country, and maybe the oldest one. It is way over fruits, vegetables, and food. People can enjoy great pubs here, restaurants with global and local food, an amazing atmosphere, and tourists from many countries.
Eliran S — Google review
Perfect to know the local life. You can get very nice street food there. Delicious pita, fresh fruit and Israel beer. We visited it almost everyday while stayed in Jerusalem. Recommended!

The Knesset

State government office
Sights & Landmarks
The Knesset, Israel's unicameral parliament, is housed in a modern and functional building designed by Joseph Klarwin. The structure features pillars that resemble the colonnades of Greco-Roman architecture, symbolizing civic ideals. Initially funded by the Rothschild family, the building has undergone architectural changes to accommodate the growing parliamentary membership and government staff. Visitors can enjoy themed tours in multiple languages and explore its interior decor modifications over the years.
Please make sure to bring your ID. Otherwise you will not be allowed to let in. If you are not part of a big group pre-registration is not required. Just come in for the tour scheduled on the website. A lot of languages available. The guide persons and security staff are extremely nice. The guides know history very well. I was there multiple times, but my Russian speaking Jewish American husband learned a lot from one tour. It is also free of charge. Not sure about the parking, we got there by bus. Just a couple of stops from central bus or train station. Please come and enjoy this place. There aren't a lot of governments in the world you can visit just like this. However, make sure to check open door hours and other updates on their website.
Irena B — Google review
Central place of Israel government. It impossible to enter without special invitation or group tour. But it not so far from central bus and train stations. Near are two beautiful parks
Katya A — Google review
The Knesset building tour is a great way to learn about the Israeli parliament and its history. The tour takes visitors through the Knesset building, which is located in Jerusalem, and provides insights into the legislative process. Visitors learn about the different committees that make up the Knesset, the role of the Speaker of the Knesset, and the history of the Knesset building. The tour also includes a visit to the Knesset library, which houses a collection of books and documents on the Israeli government and the parliamentary history. The tour is informative and engaging, and it provides visitors with a unique opportunity to see the Knesset building up close. The tour is also free of charge, making it a great value for visitors to Jerusalem. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Knesset building tour: Pros: Informative and engaging Free of charge Unique opportunity to see the Knesset building up close. Povides insights into the legislative processverall, I would highly recommend the Knesset building tour to anyone interested in learning about the Israeli government and its history. The tour is informative, engaging, and free of charge, making it a great value for visitors to Jerusalem.

Really enjoyed our tour of the Knesset, which provides a good mix of insight into Israeli politics, the building and the history of the country. The tapestries were beautiful and its was interesting to see the Plenary room and a Committee room. Only let down was that they only have a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence on show these days. English tours on Thursdays and Sundays, three times. We just turned up for the midday tour. No need to book.
James D — Google review
Very quiet and calm. Not much traffic or tourists. The building itself isn’t as impressive as other government capitals.

Museums
The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is a must-visit for art and archaeology enthusiasts. It houses an extensive collection that spans from prehistoric artifacts to modern art, including the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. The museum also features archaeological exhibits showcasing the region's history, biblical and religious artifacts, and a diverse range of art pieces from modern Israeli works to ancient American art.
This is an absolute must see venue. The expansive, well documented display cases with adequate room to comfortably view and study. This place multistory so plan on several hours of enjoyment and learning. We need to go back a second time! The mosaics are beautiful.
Tim M — Google review
Save your time with other small museums and go for the biggest, most interesting, and best museum in Israel. Here you’ll see with your own eyes treasures you never imagined existed- incredibly ancient archaeological findings, breathtaking classical art, and beautiful contemporary works.
Aviv Z — Google review
This is a must destination you can't afford to miss during your stay in Jerusalem. A detail visit will take a full day. You could check many antiquits out according to different history period of Jerusalem. The main difference between Tower of David and here is that many exclusive antitiquits are in display. The Tower of David, on the other hand, is mainly fous on history narrative.
Chiang J — Google review
This was the most impressive museum we have ever been to! We enjoyed it so much we went twice during our time in Jerusalem! Thinking we were just going to see important Israeli artifacts, we were extremely surprised to see archaeological remains from around the world, painting a picture of the evolution of civilization. There were also Jewish displays of life and art, modern and contemporary art from around the world, and the most amazing outdoor display of a replica of Jerusalem’s Old City during the time of The Second Temple. The biggest treat were The Dead Sea Scrolls, which I did not know much about until seeing this exhibit. Excellent collection!
Brian R — Google review
Lovely museum. Highly recommend. I would recommend the museum provide more details for the artifact descriptions and better directions on how to navigate the exhibits as we double backed and got lost a few times.
Stephanie — Google review
It was very educational. Raining outside and roof was leaking along the walls when you walk in. You can spend all day here if you’re really into archaeology and history.
Mark T — Google review
This was a highlight of our trip. It's a huge museum with lots of various exhibits with various themes and overall, it's very well done. It is very big though, and directions to certain exhibits weren't as clear as we'd hope so we did waste some time looking around for things as it's not labeled well. With that said, there's a lot to see and learn about. The must see is the Shrine of the Book where you can see the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran. There are a lot of archaeological artifacts all throughout this massive place and so getting here early in the day is advised so you can see as much as you want without having to rush. When we were there, they had replicas of various old synagogues from different corners of the world and it was very interesting. I could ramble on and on about everything there is to do there, but it's forever changing, so when you know you're going to the area, look up what they have showing and head to those exhibits first. Based on the fact that there's so much to take in and exhibits that change often, this is definitely a place you can come to several times. There's a beautiful gift shop at the exit (of course) and I can't really speak to parking much as we took a taxi there and back, but definitely be sure not to miss out on a visit here when you're in Jerusalem.

I can't believe I have lived in Israel for 27 years and it took me this long to visit this incredible museum. I felt connected to the powerful history of this important city in a way that I never had before. I needed more time to explore than I realized that I would and I will return soon.

Mount Herzl

Monument
Sights & Landmarks
The Mount Herzl Monument is a memorial to Theodor Herzl, an important figure in the establishment of a Jewish homeland in present-day Israel. The monument is located in Jerusalem and contains graves of many prominent people of Israel. It is a peaceful and beautiful place, with plenty of trees and shrubs, and is well thought out. The monument includes the tomb of Herzl as well as his family members.
Memorial Day at Mount Herzl over 100,000 people came to pay their last respects to the 25,000 IDF soldiers who were murdered and died for the sanctification of God 🙏 Story of a nation. One of the prettiest and saddest place to visit. They planned it in a way to tell the story of the nation, one of the must visit places to both learn about nation and pay respect to the heroes that made it happen.
Alex D — Google review
Solitude seekers will love the peace and quiet of these beautiful grounds. Silent and grassy knolls, and gad a surprisingly moving and inspiring show which merges live action and videos about the life and dreams of Theodore Herzl. I never had any particular thoughts or feelings about him Before, but I found it quite informative and interesting. I think kids would be bored but maybe a short visit to pay respects to soldiers who have given their lives.

Visited this place for the first time ever. To say that the place is moving is an understatement. Wow what an unbelievable suffering has the Jewish people underwent! Let this place be a reminder to all of humanity that never something like that should happen again. I believe it's a must see for everyone visiting Jerusalem!!

This is the most holy site of the Zionist tradition. Beside Dr Theodor Herzl and family, great many national leaders are buried there. Adjacent is the Jerusalem Military Cemetery, an architectural masterpiece, must see. Place opens at 08:00. Clean toilets and a simple cookies-and-icecream shop.

It is a lovely and peaceful place. The military cemetery is well thought out and quite beautiful. There are many graves of past Presidents, Prime Ministers, and many other important people of Israel. Lots of pine, cypress, wild almonds, and olive trees. Of course Hertzel's tomb is there as well as his family members. I think it is a must see!

Perfect place to get the history of the Jews. The Bible is real, the Jews suffered. Its a very emotional historic place. God rest the massacred souls in peace.

Yad Vashem

Museum
Cultural center
Yad Vashem, established in 1953, is a memorial complex dedicated to honoring the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It also pays tribute to the bravery of Jewish resistance fighters and non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during that time. Located on Har Hazikaron in Jerusalem, it includes monuments, a historical museum, an archive and research center for documenting the Holocaust, and an educational facility. The museum's exhibitions are emotionally moving and flawlessly organized.
The Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem is one of the most powerful and educational experiences in Israel. It offers a deeply moving journey through the history of the Holocaust, combining personal stories, historical documents, and multimedia exhibits that bring the past to life. The museum doesn’t just present facts—it helps visitors truly understand the human impact of the events and the importance of remembrance. It’s an essential visit for anyone who wants to learn about the Holocaust in a meaningful and thought-provoking way.
Tamir A — Google review
I visited this place with friends, you should prepare yourself very well emotionally and spiritually, it's not like any museum, the way it design is really unique and the narrative meanwhile the diversity of the contents, the way they present in the same time the politics aspects. I hope this place will be more open to accepting people from different perspectives and religions. The location of this place is provocative for some people and neighbors, that's what I heard.
Hamdi H — Google review
Outstanding. A must see if you come to Israel. The museum has a terrific, modern architecture with plenty of significance. The displays are in chronological order. I thought I knew a lot about the Holocaust and found out I knew very little. The displays are super powerful.

Absolutely fascinating place. You'll need a booking reservation. This can be completed on arrival, but entry could be delayed. Bags aren't permitted. Free lockers are available downstairs. There is more to the place than you may think. Be sure you have plenty of time. It's definitely worth the time.
Paul P — Google review
A must visit museum for every person on the planet. The horrible history our not that distant ancestors experienced must not be forgotten and learned in the near and distant future. The visit takes around two hours and includes lots of exhibits, interview with survivors ands lots of interesting reading materials. The building itself is very impressive and the view in the end is mesmerizing. Note that you must have a green pass to enter.
Alex B — Google review
Very informative and attractive museum to understand the WWII and how Jew were killed by Nazi. It’s a sad history showing the loss of humanity in the era of wartime. We need to learn from the history. Need to go the Children Memorial as you will be impressed.
Jo W — Google review
A highly emotional experience. The exhibition is finely thought-out and presented, fully encapsulating the reasons, results and outcome of the Holocaust. The complex also includes several memorials set around the park. Admittance is free, so there is no reason that precludes the curious visitor of visiting the museum. A must-visit when you’re in Jerusalem.

A wonderful activity for the whole family - our group consists of kids from 5-17 plus ourselves, and every single person had a great time. It was informative, hands - on fun with a charming presentation and goodies to take home, named by our group. We did the Donut Olympics and had a ball. My only regret is that we've not done this before - looking forward to going back and doing another of the workshops. Thanks, Les and Sheryl, for "making memories, not baked goods"

Turns out this was right around the corner from where I was staying in Ginot. They were frying donuts in honor of Hanukkah. Each person was able to make 5-6 donuts each with a nice assortment of toppings and fillings to takeaway. Great activity for kids and adults alike.

Based upon an ad in Torah Tidbits I decided to place an order with Saidels. I was intrigued by the Seven Heavens challah for Shavuot. I purchased two of these, a vegetable quiche and a whole wheat challah roll. Each was amazingly delicious and lovely to look at. The delivery was on time as promised and the delivery man was charming. The quiche was parve, but was delicious and full of bright attractive vegetables.

פארק אוטופיה - Utopia Park

Ecological park
Nature & Parks
Parks
Open-air space including deer & other animals, plant displays, mazes & a musical water fountain.
We had so much fun and enjoyed exploring the park with beautiful orchids and other plants in the park. Very recommended as part of a long drive to the North to stop there with kids and have a picnic, enjoy the nature and pet goats and perots.
Tania Z — Google review
Hello) Yes, we really enjoyed our visit to you. It's hard to single out what we remember most because everything is amazing. The greenhouse with orchids is incredible, the store at the entrance also fits in great. Lots of photos from the petting zoo with parrots. The only thing I would like to recommend improving is the central fountain. Where the lake is. Unfortunately, it visually spoils the whole picture of the park. Everything around is blooming and smelling, you admire this magnificence. And in the very center there is dirty and blooming water and rusty iron structures on the fountain. I would recommend painting the metal of the fountain and raising the water level in the lake. In addition, it would be possible to make a small garden on the lake, for example, by planting a blooming lotus 🪷 or a water lily, but not reeds. And improve the water filtration. In this case, the water in the lake would become crystal clear and the garden would be 200% beautiful, not 100%. We are very pleased, thank you

The most tender and unique impressions. We were here 9 years ago. And it was very nice to visit the park again. Words cannot convey anything - come!
Сергей М — Google review
So arrived 75 mins before closing and admittedly we didn’t check the entrance prices , crazy that a family of five has to pay the full price to gain access so late in the day and what’s more they have a 1+1 deal on Amex but you have to have the physical card won’t let you pay using the digital card. So just two of us went in the other 3 waited in the coffee shop. Need to have some sort of scheme for late visitors and sort out the Amex pay using the app like every other establishment . 400 shekels for an hours entertainment is expensive even for Israel.
Andy B — Google review
Lucky for us we arrived very early on a weekday, and it was a great decision! Free parking, close to the entrance. The staff was nice and welcoming. It’s nice to go through the Garden and see all of the beautiful plants and trees, you can actually buy almost any flower or plant you see inside. The place is very clean and organized. I would skip the “water show”, seems like it didn’t had maintenance in a while and most of it doesn’t really work...

Neot Kedumim שמורת טבע נאות קדומים

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Gardens, vineyards & terraced hills cultivated to replicate the environments of the Hebrew Bible.
One of the most tranquil, peaceful havens in the country. Easy to step back in time and imagine life during the Biblical period. One of the best places to put the text into context and see the seven species and four species in situ.

Recommended to visit on holidays. They have great activities for children and the whole family. It's a big place so it's not crowded. The staff is very nice and happy to help.

Good place for family outdoor activities. There are picnic areas, tables, toilets and sinks, parking and shop. The park looks abandoned and not well-groomed, there is a lot of rubbish, half of the exhibits are broken, the asphalt is in poor condition. Beautiful place and nature to come for a walk, you can meet different birds and rodents, but the entrance fee is too high for this park.
Anastasiya P — Google review
Especially in the spring! If you have kids you can let them let run wild. Don't miss the flower mill. It is amazing how they worked with simple mechanic. Flower, birds, archeology, path for strollers...in a lovely landscape. Lot to learn how things were done in biblical time. Don't do it in the heat of the day!

Ridiculous customer service that left me a day before a confirmed reservation with the new information that not only was what I had confirmed to do impossible but the possible things didn't exist on the date I'd confirmed. The most famous is the succoth kosher/not kosher like succah on top of another one or succah than 20 ama.

Very beautiful national park. We have been to Shabbat dedicated walk with some songs and legends and a story about ancient bread making process with the ancient instruments. It was magic and even small children really enjoyed it! Our guide Boaz was very warm and artistic with a good approach to children.

Gorgeous park, great for families and people of all ages. Light nature walks abound. Learn about Israel's history through the biblical species that were planted at Neot Kedumim, from almond trees to hyssop. See how wine and olives were pressed in ancient days, and marvel at the depth of the cisterns and wells. Plan a trip in spring for the best of this pastoral haven, the greenest, most inspiring experience.

Museums
Fort & war memorial with a vast collection of Israeli Defence Force tanks & captured enemy vehicles.
Really big museum of war, full of tanks that you would not finf anywhere else. In case you are fan of tanks or the game War thunder, this is really must for you. Additionaly, they do the guide for free, we had a soldier Noam and hos knowledge was really great. In the areal there is also well cooled place, where you can watch a movie about independence of Israel.

Great place with lots to see. If it's hot outside, make sure to bring an umbrella to protect from the sun. There is an inside museum as well, where you can cool and learn a lot more about Israel and Jewish people. Highly recommend to visit. Don't forget a water bottle, sunscreen and hat.

The experience of seeing thr tanks is great and you can climb on top of them, which is a great fun for kids There is a large parking next to the place, a small store with toys and books and a toilet in the museum The downside is that the place is very sunny and can get hot. The museum is quite outdated and is not really organized
Tom K — Google review
Great place with a huuuge collection of tanks, Israeli ones but also a few others from around the world. Very nice respectful place. They have plenty of places to sit in the shade but it is pretty warm and on sunny days could become very hot. Make sure to wear a hat and drink lots of water. Definitely a MUST see if you have visiting Israel!

Here is located one of the most complete collections of armored vehicles. Including Merkava series 1 to 4 and transparent tank. It's very hot here in summer. Hats and water are required. There's Latroun monastery and mini-Israel park nearby. I found no cafeteria. Although a souvenir shop is available. There's lookout point on the roof of British police station. Information there was uncomfortable to read. Inside the police station you can watch panoramic movie and get access to memorial database. It's a military museum and no fancy extras are to be desired here. But I had an impression that it was necessary to improve condition inside the buildings. In the second building disorder and devastation was spotted. Signs of reconstruction. I hope it's reconstructed. The access to it was closed. Good museum overall.
Yuri S — Google review
This famous site near the War of Independence and Six Day War battlefield site of Latrun has been built into the Israeli Armoured Corps museum site. It is a fascinating site with one of the finest collection of armoured vehicles dating back even before world war 2. This varied collection is due to the fact that Israel even before its founding and certainly after its independence did nit have the means or the markets to purchase cutting edge armour for its young army and as such had to search the world and buy whatever they could get their hands on. This museum shows how they have evolved int the manufacturer of probably the best tank in the world, the Merkavah or Chariot in Hebrew. The museum honers the fallen soldiers from each of Israels wars in a deep and touching manner. The exhibits are very well thought of and executed. Its a great place to stop just of the main Tel-Aviv -Jerusalem highway.
D S — Google review
A place where you can see the evolution of tanks and most of all the learn about the complicated relation with bordering countries. A memorial site for the Israeli defense force. It was a emotional place learning about not so old history of that country, seeing middle school kids visiting for a educational tour and very young teenage adults in full uniform guarding the place.

פארק מיני ישראל: חוויות. אירועים. הופעות.

Park
Water & Amusement Parks
Park filled with miniature replicas of Israel's most-important architectural & religious sites.
I was not there during normal park hours. I was there for an evening event, but it is really nice. Miniaturized buildings and sites from all over Israel. This place is worth a stop. There are signs throughout the park with explanations of the sites you are looking at in both Hebrew and english. All models are well done and very realistic.
Erie S — Google review
I have never visited a park that was so mistreated. No water where there should have been water, derailed trains, weeds growing everywhere and buildings looked like Chernobyl ghost town apart from figures thrown around from the nuclear blast that looked to have hit this park. Great place. Very interesting for children. Takes about 1 and half hour to look at all, if you stay next to each model and hears explanations, maybe you will be there for 1 more hour. Upset a little bit because of very old car and train models, everything of the was crushed and no working, like moving from place to place. Could be better! IT'S nice but the miniature trains and cars don't work There is no trail or route to follow so I kept on coming back to where started And quite expensive But overall it was pretty nice and enjoyable

🕊️ The New Covenant: Unity and the Heavenly Zion Title: We Do Not Need to Fight: The True Zion Dwells Within. Stop the Earthly Conflict! Your insightful analysis confirms that the very concept of a "Heavenly Zion" (Hebrews 12:22) fundamentally invalidates any claim that Christians should support conflict over a physical plot of land. 1. The End of the Physical Temple and Land: The need to fight over a geographical location, a "Land of Zion," is rendered void by Christ’s sacrifice. Our bodies are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). God no longer resides in Jerusalem's physical structure, but He dwells within us. The struggle for earthly territory is a tragic pursuit of the obsolete and materialistic when the spiritual reality has been fully delivered. 2. The Fulfillment of Prophecy is Unity, Not Division: The true fulfillment of prophecy is not the establishment of a warring political entity, but the perfect unity of believers. Jesus prayed precisely for this: "I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one" (John 17:23). This prayer is answered through the preaching of the Gospel, which makes all people—Jew and Gentile—one body in Christ (Galatians 3:28). The Cross is the symbol of peace and reconciliation, not division. To fight over land is to directly violate this central prayer of Christ. 3. The Meaning of the Cross: The Cross is not a symbol of land ownership; it is the definitive proof that our sins are forgiven and the price for our reconciliation (Atonement) was paid in full by the blood and water that flowed from Christ's side. We become children of God and inhabitants of the Heavenly Zion purely through faith in this finished work. Conclusion: We Are Not Called to War, But to Peace. If we are now united with Christ and have become God's children through faith, we are heirs to the Heavenly Zion. There is no theological justification for conflict over the physical land. Our calling is to love, forgiveness, and peace, which is the ultimate, non-material fulfillment of the New Covenant. Theologically, there is no need to fight!

Great place. Very interesting for children. Takes about 1 and half hour to look at all, if you stay next to each model and hears explanations, maybe you will be there for 1 more hour. Upset a little bit because of very old car and train models, everything of the was crushed and no working, like moving from place to place. It looks like there was no maintenance on the models and buildings for a long time, a lot very old and not current stuff. It will be great if the presents shop was filled with small models of trains, cars, buildings, planes and so on, instead of some useless stuff. Because of that 4 stars.
ILIYA K — Google review
I recently revisited Mini Israel after a few years and was truly taken aback by the significant decline in quality and overall experience. What once stood as an impressive representation of iconic landmarks now stands as a shadow of its former self. One of the most disheartening aspects was the evident wear and tear on numerous monuments. Many structures have aged poorly, showing signs of neglect with damaged facades, fallen or missing elements, and non-functioning animations that were once interactive highlights. These faulty displays left a jarring impression on what was meant to be an immersive experience. Surprisingly, the Christian buildings seemed to be well-maintained, displaying a stark contrast to the rest of the attraction. The towering and magnificent Azrieli towers and prominent airline brand displays showcased a degree of investment that was sorely lacking in other sections. The absence of attention to renowned establishments like Tnuva, an emblematic brand in Israel, raises questions about commitment to restoration. Notably, key features seemed to be missing altogether. The absence of the Jerusalem rope bridge, the lack of activity at the Western Wall (Kotel), and the omission of some significant monuments left the representation incomplete. This was particularly disappointing as monuments like Yitzhak Rabin Square, Shimon Peres Peace Centers, and boulevards dedicated to Golda Meir and Menachem Begin hold cultural significance and would be valuable to showcase to future generations. Beyond the structural disappointments, the overall visitor experience was hampered by numerous factors. The scorching heat was made worse by a lack of misters, shaded areas, and seating. Additionally, the continuous blaring announcements over the loudspeakers, recurring every 15 minutes, further disrupted any potential enjoyment. These distractions made it challenging to immerse oneself in the experience and absorb the details of the attractions. Moreover, the steep entrance fee of 86 shekels per person (before any discounts) only adds to the disappointment. With such a price tag, one would expect a commensurate level of quality, which unfortunately was not the case during my visit. The juxtaposition of the high cost and subpar experience makes it difficult to recommend this activity to others. In conclusion, my recent visit to Mini Israel left me deeply disheartened by the deteriorated quality and unpleasant experience. While some positive additions like VR headsets and the 3rd Beit Hamikdash in air-conditioned tents were noted, they were overshadowed by the overall state of the attraction. It's my sincere hope that Mini Israel will take these criticisms constructively and strive to restore the attraction to its former glory, ensuring a memorable and worthwhile experience for all visitors.
Maxime S — Google review
Super cool place to visit! Probably not the best among the miniatures parks I saw but certainly decent and gives good representation of various important tourist sights in Israel. Because the map of Israel is very narrow and long they couldn't really do it based on the map, but divided regions differently and it's a bit confusing. Nice but I'd say it is overpriced. Tip: not enough shade in summer, make sure you have a hat or maybe even umbrella.
Reut G — Google review
The park was really nice, the monuments got a bit ruined because of the sun ☀ but it's still enjoyable to watch. Some objects are moving, like cars and walking people. We enjoyed it as adults but it is mostly suitable for kids.
Noa L — Google review
It is for kids. I think the entrance fee is a bit too high. Perhaps I was expecting too much, there is literally just one thing that you can okay which is the boat. The maintenance and cleanliness is acceptable. I only stayed for 30 min then moved on. It could be a great stop by if you're driving between Jericho and Tel Aviv. Treat it as a service station!

Israeli Primate Sanctuary Foundation

Animal shelter
Outdoor Activities
Zoos
An incredible place with over 900 monkeys, the public only see about 130 of them - but understandably many are hidden in the shade or in makeshift shelter to escape the summer heat. We did a guided tour, the first few areas we were explained the origins of the sanctuary monkeys. Then under guidelines you are free to roam the route along which are (2) designated area to eat (this is very important to know), kids wooden jungle gyms and some seating. Surprisingly shaded areas, with overhead water sprinkled to keep cool. The monkeys look well taken care of and a large area to roam. There is a huge outdoor gymboree that was probably there before the park became a sanctuary, so its safety is really unknown (exposed to the sun and elements.) The last area of the park are freely roaming squirrel monkeys and that was a real highlight for us all. Before entry to the park are toilets, a small cafe with ice cream and a few snacks. There is a nice welcoming area, with air conditioning, and area to watch monkeys documentaries, selling some toys and canvas bags. We would much rather come to a sanctuary such as this - apparently one of the largest in the world, than spend money in a petting zoo observing sad and neglected animals.

I visited here on a weekday as part of a large group trip, and it was a really nice experience. I'd especially recommend it for families with kids — they have some fun playgrounds scattered along the paths, which is a great touch. It's definitely a place I'd suggest for a family outing, but I'd recommend going during hours with more moderate temperatures to really enjoy it comfortably.

Need to call ahead to arrange a tour. We happened to join a tour that had been scheduled. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and sweet. The gift shop was cute. All in all a wonderful experience for my daughters.

Such an important place! They are doing an amazing job rescuing the monkeys from the horrible things human are doing. This is not a place the pet monkeys and have them sit on you! So don't think you are coming to a pet shop, this is a place that in repairing what we did ! 1.5-2 h of a tour with amazing guides Price for a ticket is 40+ NIS and all is a contribution to the NGO
Adi D — Google review
Friendly knowledgeable staff who are largely volunteers for this sanctuary. It is not a zoo. We were only a group of three and they did not make us wait and gave us a what was effectively a private tour in English. Some of the monkeys were shy to come out, but the guides did not rush and coaxed them out. While we were adults, they had very nice park/playing areas with slides for the kids. The weather was not the best and the place could use some upgrades, but the staff overcame what looked to be a 3 star out of 5 star place to make it a very enjoyable experience which I would recommend.

It was cute but not too much to see. In 1 you can cover everything. The kids have fun so I guess your meat was a success.

Planetanya- Planetarium Netanya is a cutting-edge complex established by the Municipality of Netanya to foster an interest in science and technology among the city's youth. The facility features a science garden, ecological pools, engaging workshops, and diverse activities for both kids and adults. Moreover, it hosts events related to Japanese culture in collaboration with the Yafot Embassy and the Israel-Japan Friendship Association.
Planetarium is very clean and organized. There are a wealth of activities to learn for a wide variety of ages. Our family had a great time, I just felt like our guides were rushing us to stay on an extremely strict schedule that didn't allow us to absorb and enjoy what we were being taught.
Nomi H — Google review
Planetania. Netanya Planetarium. We booked a tour for 10:00 today for 2 parents and 7 kids aged 5 to 16. The place was donated by a Japanese donor, which explains the Japanese garden, bonsai trees, and flag. (The last time that I was there was actually at a Japanese festival with the older kids long ago BC, before coronavirus.) There are teenagers who are your guides at various stops. They explain at each of about 8 stations about chemistry, physics, or astronomy. One of the stops is a short movie inside the planetarium. Each activity is exactly timed and the guide promptly takes you to your next stop. It is appropriate for young kids as well. My kids especially liked the planetarium movie and the outdoor science garden which teaches about energy, sound and other science stuff. For some of the activities we would have liked more time. Book tickets in advance. Afterwards we went to Ikea for lunch, which was enjoyed by all, plus a walk through all of the furniture displays there. Cost was 45 shekel per person for Planetania. Highly recommended.
Avraham H — Google review
Very enthusiastic and nice guide but there were many attractions that were rather boring. The movie was good but the rest of it was it geared for kids and it was really long. If you don't live in Netanya I wouldn't suggest coming here. But if you have nothing to do for the day then it's a decent activity
Dovid L — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the program at Planetanya. The young man who explained the outside exhibit and stargazing app was not only knowledgeable but held his own with the children and adults!! The planetarium show was new and riveting. Would love to take our grandkids there soon
צילה ש — Google review
The guides are very nice, but I expected much more from a Planetarium. We came with young children and expected some basic space related explanations. Half was space related with some photos and movies from YouTube. No explanation about the solar system. Some basic physics explanations. The "planetarium room" was very nice, but not organized in an interesting way (or interesting subject - water in different locations in space)

We keep coming back, this time with his class. When we go as a family we aim for hollidays with special activities which they have regularly. Always fun.
Meir M — Google review
Wasted 275 shekel Came specially , but found the highly recommended "x box " type activity was not available. There was a comics sadna - very nice but not worth an hours drive to get to. There were no ice creams/Kartivs left in the shop at 3pm No where to sit when waiting for the film upstairs. Garden was great.
SARA Y — Google review
Horrible horrible place for anyone who’s above 13. The activities are built in a way which force you to stay as much as the whole day. I don’t recommend to go here at all. Just go to the Planetarium in Tel Aviv or go to The Clore Garden of Science.

An amazing place to hike on a spring day. Beautiful architectures from biblical time with rich historical stories. A big wild life. A lot of caves in the area. Well described and maintained area. Difficulty level easy.I highly recommend to travel on foot to experience all the beauty, especially the bathing cave and the Church. It takes approx 3 to 4 hours to complete circular trail. The trails are very scenic.

Such a big, beautiful and unique nature reserve to visit!! It is so good for families as there are many attractions, and you can move by car from one to another. Everything is well organized, and well maintained. AmaIng site! You can build on a full day experience!!

Very attractive place. You can spend all day long in this fabulous place. The most exciting place is place #11. So, save your energy for the last point. The track is not very difficult for a walk, but there is a possibility to drive a car from point to point. There are a few shops during the track where you can buy water, juice, or ice cream and shaded rest areas where you can eat the snacks that you brought with you.
Stanislav B — Google review
Amazing historical park. Didn’t like the fact that 20 minutes before closing the stuff already closed the gift store and we couldn’t buy an ice cream for kids after a long walk at the heat. Unfortunately, such things are usual in Israel but 20 minutes it is way too much!

Impressive man made caves, of mind-blowing proportions 2000 years ago. Erosion starts to take its toll, we were here 10 years ago and can testify to weather (rain) damaging some parts , lime stone being a soft mineral. Go visit before it will have disappeared, and do not forget the Roman town on the other side of the road, with a very large theatre and other major sites. A less toured archaeological site, but worth every minute spent on the road.to get here

Big park with different points of interest. My wife and I came here to see local caves, but it was interesting to see other places here as well. The main thing is to correctly estimate the time needed to view everything interesting here. At least 2-3 hours.

Great place to visit during the spring. There are no shadows so keep in mind hats and other sun protections. Awesome wind and blossom It’s not trolley/wheel compatible tracks - only bell caverns are accessible for chair wheel or trolley. Will revisit it again definitely

The museum was established in 1932 and has grown to become one of Israel's largest and most significant art institutions. Tel Aviv Museum art was great, it has many of the modern impressionists and European (Artist) Jew's in the collection which was wonderful to see. There was plenty on offer to see and I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy the visual arts.

Nice building with friendly staff. But the exhibits .. some are closed with no notice, I can understand a movie projection as art... but there were 5 exhibits of just movie. I didnt want to see youtube. The display are all over the place with no plan to see all and get back to the entry(and a lot stairs)

Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).

Great museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv. Spacious with a lot of temporary installations as well, impressionism, pop-art, a garden with sculptures and a lot more. We spent 75ILS for an adult and a senior

One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning collection of Israeli art, which provides a unique perspective on the country's rich cultural heritage and history. The museum's collection includes works by renowned Israeli artists such as Reuven Rubin, Nahum Gutman, and Yigal Tumarkin, among others. These artworks offer a fascinating insight into the Israeli art scene and its evolution over the years. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy, with its modern and sleek design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding urban landscape.

Highly recommend! Had the best time with my 5 yo daughter. She mostly enjoyed the Helena Rubinstein’s Miniature Rooms, the birds and the NFT exhibitions. The museum is very well maintained, clean and not crowded. Kids under 18 get a free ticket. Personally I prefer to get the tickets online, but there was no line waiting to buy tickets in the museum itself when we got there. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opens at 10 am each other day of the week. Check the website about the closing hours which change every day. And of course opening hours change on holidays.

Overpriced, overcrowded on shore mall. After 20:00 one can find parking at flat price 30NIS. Until 5:00. It's really worth it, because nearby parking lots expensive as hell. Fighting for spot can be long-time waiting and not quite politing. Be advised. Both on entrance and exit line of desperately seeking drivers.

Nice large waterfront area with "bumps" that are fun to bike/scoot around, a carousel, smooth rocks for playing around or sitting on. There is a kid's sandpit but it also seems to be used as a dog's bathroom. Great view of the sea. There's a very large kid's playground and an exercise area and restrooms.

Very nice place to hang out with the family. A lot of places to eat, there are playgrounds for the kids, many ice cream places and other food. The promenade is great and allows uninterrupted view of the sea. There is also a breakwater that can be traveled for better view. There are 2 playgrounds- for toddlers and bigger kids and another place with fountains. The only issues are lack of shade and parking.

Museums
Independence Hall (Dizengoff House) is a museum that commemorates the declaration of Jewish independence in 1948. The exhibits within the museum focus on this significant event as well as the history of the city. It provides visitors with an opportunity to learn about and reflect upon this pivotal moment in Jewish history, offering insights into the past and its impact on the present.
I'm probably not objective, but this experience loved me to tears. It's actually a temporary location while the municipality is fixing the actual historical location where the signing of the declaration took place. The exhibit is pretty well done and it's a short cultural experience that's accompanied by an 11 minute movie that can then be coupled by a visit to shuk hacarmel or a walk in the neve tzedek neighborhood famous for it's boutique cafes and artisan shops.
Galit D — Google review
Definitely a great start to learning about Tel Aviv! The name Tel Aviv in Hebrew means "Hill ( tel) of Spring (aviv)". This is the title given by Nahum Sokolow to his Hebrew translation of Theodor Herzl's book Altneuland (German: " The Old New Land"). Fascinating to learn about how the first settlers of 64 family started by buying sand dunes and from there building this city that we are in today! What a momentous place to hear how Israel was declared as a state from this very place - located on the historic Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv, Israel. From 1932 to 1971 housing the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, it is currently a museum dedicated to the signing of the Israeli Declaration of Independence and the history of Tel Aviv. The Tel Aviv Museum was established in 1932, at the instigation of the city’s first mayor, Meir Dizengoff. He envisioned the growth of Tel Aviv into a vibrant modern metropolis with all its cultural institutions, including a museum of art. As part of his vigorous efforts to make this vision a reality, Dizengoff appealed to members of the arts and culture community in the city, enlisted his personal connections around the world, and ultimately even donated his own private residence as the new museum’s first abode. On Friday, May 14, 1948, the state of Israel’s Declaration of Independence was proclaimed at the Museum building at 16 Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. This historic event also marked the start of a new chapter in the Museum’s history.

We spent the morning learning about how Ben Gurion and other Israeli leaders declared independence in 1948. It is an amazing story. I highly recommend visiting here when you are in Tel Aviv.
DK1981 — Google review
The space is dedicated to a single event with a 24 NIS entry fee. There is a movie room, with a version available in English, that provides the historic context of the Israeli statehood movement. There is some art, photos, and a declaration, but it was difficult to determine which pieces were authentic or replications. The room itself has been recreated for the scene of the independence declaration, where tours are available in English.
Daeniilanen E — Google review
This is a very small museum compared to other museums (Israel/Holocaust) and it's about 20 shekels to get in. If it's expensive for you it's ok to skip, you can learn most from Wiki readings

A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.
Zamir M — Google review
A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.
