Park
Water & Amusement Parks
Park filled with miniature replicas of Israel's most-important architectural & religious sites.
I was not there during normal park hours. I was there for an evening event, but it is really nice. Miniaturized buildings and sites from all over Israel. This place is worth a stop. There are signs throughout the park with explanations of the sites you are looking at in both Hebrew and english. All models are well done and very realistic.
Erie S — Google review
I have never visited a park that was so mistreated. No water where there should have been water, derailed trains, weeds growing everywhere and buildings looked like Chernobyl ghost town apart from figures thrown around from the nuclear blast that looked to have hit this park. Great place. Very interesting for children. Takes about 1 and half hour to look at all, if you stay next to each model and hears explanations, maybe you will be there for 1 more hour. Upset a little bit because of very old car and train models, everything of the was crushed and no working, like moving from place to place. Could be better! IT'S nice but the miniature trains and cars don't work There is no trail or route to follow so I kept on coming back to where started And quite expensive But overall it was pretty nice and enjoyable

🕊️ The New Covenant: Unity and the Heavenly Zion Title: We Do Not Need to Fight: The True Zion Dwells Within. Stop the Earthly Conflict! Your insightful analysis confirms that the very concept of a "Heavenly Zion" (Hebrews 12:22) fundamentally invalidates any claim that Christians should support conflict over a physical plot of land. 1. The End of the Physical Temple and Land: The need to fight over a geographical location, a "Land of Zion," is rendered void by Christ’s sacrifice. Our bodies are now the Temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). God no longer resides in Jerusalem's physical structure, but He dwells within us. The struggle for earthly territory is a tragic pursuit of the obsolete and materialistic when the spiritual reality has been fully delivered. 2. The Fulfillment of Prophecy is Unity, Not Division: The true fulfillment of prophecy is not the establishment of a warring political entity, but the perfect unity of believers. Jesus prayed precisely for this: "I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one" (John 17:23). This prayer is answered through the preaching of the Gospel, which makes all people—Jew and Gentile—one body in Christ (Galatians 3:28). The Cross is the symbol of peace and reconciliation, not division. To fight over land is to directly violate this central prayer of Christ. 3. The Meaning of the Cross: The Cross is not a symbol of land ownership; it is the definitive proof that our sins are forgiven and the price for our reconciliation (Atonement) was paid in full by the blood and water that flowed from Christ's side. We become children of God and inhabitants of the Heavenly Zion purely through faith in this finished work. Conclusion: We Are Not Called to War, But to Peace. If we are now united with Christ and have become God's children through faith, we are heirs to the Heavenly Zion. There is no theological justification for conflict over the physical land. Our calling is to love, forgiveness, and peace, which is the ultimate, non-material fulfillment of the New Covenant. Theologically, there is no need to fight!

Great place. Very interesting for children. Takes about 1 and half hour to look at all, if you stay next to each model and hears explanations, maybe you will be there for 1 more hour. Upset a little bit because of very old car and train models, everything of the was crushed and no working, like moving from place to place. It looks like there was no maintenance on the models and buildings for a long time, a lot very old and not current stuff. It will be great if the presents shop was filled with small models of trains, cars, buildings, planes and so on, instead of some useless stuff. Because of that 4 stars.

I recently revisited Mini Israel after a few years and was truly taken aback by the significant decline in quality and overall experience. What once stood as an impressive representation of iconic landmarks now stands as a shadow of its former self. One of the most disheartening aspects was the evident wear and tear on numerous monuments. Many structures have aged poorly, showing signs of neglect with damaged facades, fallen or missing elements, and non-functioning animations that were once interactive highlights. These faulty displays left a jarring impression on what was meant to be an immersive experience. Surprisingly, the Christian buildings seemed to be well-maintained, displaying a stark contrast to the rest of the attraction. The towering and magnificent Azrieli towers and prominent airline brand displays showcased a degree of investment that was sorely lacking in other sections. The absence of attention to renowned establishments like Tnuva, an emblematic brand in Israel, raises questions about commitment to restoration. Notably, key features seemed to be missing altogether. The absence of the Jerusalem rope bridge, the lack of activity at the Western Wall (Kotel), and the omission of some significant monuments left the representation incomplete. This was particularly disappointing as monuments like Yitzhak Rabin Square, Shimon Peres Peace Centers, and boulevards dedicated to Golda Meir and Menachem Begin hold cultural significance and would be valuable to showcase to future generations. Beyond the structural disappointments, the overall visitor experience was hampered by numerous factors. The scorching heat was made worse by a lack of misters, shaded areas, and seating. Additionally, the continuous blaring announcements over the loudspeakers, recurring every 15 minutes, further disrupted any potential enjoyment. These distractions made it challenging to immerse oneself in the experience and absorb the details of the attractions. Moreover, the steep entrance fee of 86 shekels per person (before any discounts) only adds to the disappointment. With such a price tag, one would expect a commensurate level of quality, which unfortunately was not the case during my visit. The juxtaposition of the high cost and subpar experience makes it difficult to recommend this activity to others. In conclusion, my recent visit to Mini Israel left me deeply disheartened by the deteriorated quality and unpleasant experience. While some positive additions like VR headsets and the 3rd Beit Hamikdash in air-conditioned tents were noted, they were overshadowed by the overall state of the attraction. It's my sincere hope that Mini Israel will take these criticisms constructively and strive to restore the attraction to its former glory, ensuring a memorable and worthwhile experience for all visitors.

Super cool place to visit! Probably not the best among the miniatures parks I saw but certainly decent and gives good representation of various important tourist sights in Israel. Because the map of Israel is very narrow and long they couldn't really do it based on the map, but divided regions differently and it's a bit confusing. Nice but I'd say it is overpriced. Tip: not enough shade in summer, make sure you have a hat or maybe even umbrella.
Reut G — Google review
The park was really nice, the monuments got a bit ruined because of the sun ☀ but it's still enjoyable to watch. Some objects are moving, like cars and walking people. We enjoyed it as adults but it is mostly suitable for kids.
Noa L — Google review
It is for kids. I think the entrance fee is a bit too high. Perhaps I was expecting too much, there is literally just one thing that you can okay which is the boat. The maintenance and cleanliness is acceptable. I only stayed for 30 min then moved on. It could be a great stop by if you're driving between Jericho and Tel Aviv. Treat it as a service station!

War museum
Museums
Fort & war memorial with a vast collection of Israeli Defence Force tanks & captured enemy vehicles.
Really big museum of war, full of tanks that you would not finf anywhere else. In case you are fan of tanks or the game War thunder, this is really must for you. Additionaly, they do the guide for free, we had a soldier Noam and hos knowledge was really great. In the areal there is also well cooled place, where you can watch a movie about independence of Israel.
Marian C — Google review
Great place with lots to see. If it's hot outside, make sure to bring an umbrella to protect from the sun. There is an inside museum as well, where you can cool and learn a lot more about Israel and Jewish people. Highly recommend to visit. Don't forget a water bottle, sunscreen and hat.
Sar — Google review
Great museum of Israeli Armed Forces with big collection of tanks from different countries of the Europe and USSR. I recommend to visit it for everyone who interested in Israel national history.
Konstantin-David K — Google review
The experience of seeing thr tanks is great and you can climb on top of them, which is a great fun for kids There is a large parking next to the place, a small store with toys and books and a toilet in the museum The downside is that the place is very sunny and can get hot. The museum is quite outdated and is not really organized
Tom K — Google review
Great place with a huuuge collection of tanks, Israeli ones but also a few others from around the world. Very nice respectful place. They have plenty of places to sit in the shade but it is pretty warm and on sunny days could become very hot. Make sure to wear a hat and drink lots of water. Definitely a MUST see if you have visiting Israel!
Sivan G — Google review
Here is located one of the most complete collections of armored vehicles. Including Merkava series 1 to 4 and transparent tank. It's very hot here in summer. Hats and water are required. There's Latroun monastery and mini-Israel park nearby. I found no cafeteria. Although a souvenir shop is available. There's lookout point on the roof of British police station. Information there was uncomfortable to read. Inside the police station you can watch panoramic movie and get access to memorial database. It's a military museum and no fancy extras are to be desired here. But I had an impression that it was necessary to improve condition inside the buildings. In the second building disorder and devastation was spotted. Signs of reconstruction. I hope it's reconstructed. The access to it was closed. Good museum overall.

This famous site near the War of Independence and Six Day War battlefield site of Latrun has been built into the Israeli Armoured Corps museum site. It is a fascinating site with one of the finest collection of armoured vehicles dating back even before world war 2. This varied collection is due to the fact that Israel even before its founding and certainly after its independence did nit have the means or the markets to purchase cutting edge armour for its young army and as such had to search the world and buy whatever they could get their hands on. This museum shows how they have evolved int the manufacturer of probably the best tank in the world, the Merkavah or Chariot in Hebrew. The museum honers the fallen soldiers from each of Israels wars in a deep and touching manner. The exhibits are very well thought of and executed. Its a great place to stop just of the main Tel-Aviv -Jerusalem highway.
D S — Google review
A place where you can see the evolution of tanks and most of all the learn about the complicated relation with bordering countries. A memorial site for the Israeli defense force. It was a emotional place learning about not so old history of that country, seeing middle school kids visiting for a educational tour and very young teenage adults in full uniform guarding the place.

Yad Vashem

Museum
Cultural center
Yad Vashem, established in 1953, is a memorial complex dedicated to honoring the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It also pays tribute to the bravery of Jewish resistance fighters and non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jews during that time. Located on Har Hazikaron in Jerusalem, it includes monuments, a historical museum, an archive and research center for documenting the Holocaust, and an educational facility. The museum's exhibitions are emotionally moving and flawlessly organized.
The Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem is one of the most powerful and educational experiences in Israel. It offers a deeply moving journey through the history of the Holocaust, combining personal stories, historical documents, and multimedia exhibits that bring the past to life. The museum doesn’t just present facts—it helps visitors truly understand the human impact of the events and the importance of remembrance. It’s an essential visit for anyone who wants to learn about the Holocaust in a meaningful and thought-provoking way.
Tamir A — Google review
I visited this place with friends, you should prepare yourself very well emotionally and spiritually, it's not like any museum, the way it design is really unique and the narrative meanwhile the diversity of the contents, the way they present in the same time the politics aspects. I hope this place will be more open to accepting people from different perspectives and religions. The location of this place is provocative for some people and neighbors, that's what I heard.
Hamdi H — Google review
Outstanding. A must see if you come to Israel. The museum has a terrific, modern architecture with plenty of significance. The displays are in chronological order. I thought I knew a lot about the Holocaust and found out I knew very little. The displays are super powerful.
Eduardo P — Google review
Absolutely fascinating place. You'll need a booking reservation. This can be completed on arrival, but entry could be delayed. Bags aren't permitted. Free lockers are available downstairs. There is more to the place than you may think. Be sure you have plenty of time. It's definitely worth the time.
Paul P — Google review
A must visit museum for every person on the planet. The horrible history our not that distant ancestors experienced must not be forgotten and learned in the near and distant future. The visit takes around two hours and includes lots of exhibits, interview with survivors ands lots of interesting reading materials. The building itself is very impressive and the view in the end is mesmerizing. Note that you must have a green pass to enter.
Alex B — Google review
Very informative and attractive museum to understand the WWII and how Jew were killed by Nazi. It’s a sad history showing the loss of humanity in the era of wartime. We need to learn from the history. Need to go the Children Memorial as you will be impressed.
Jo W — Google review
A highly emotional experience. The exhibition is finely thought-out and presented, fully encapsulating the reasons, results and outcome of the Holocaust. The complex also includes several memorials set around the park. Admittance is free, so there is no reason that precludes the curious visitor of visiting the museum. A must-visit when you’re in Jerusalem.

Museums
The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is a must-visit for art and archaeology enthusiasts. It houses an extensive collection that spans from prehistoric artifacts to modern art, including the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. The museum also features archaeological exhibits showcasing the region's history, biblical and religious artifacts, and a diverse range of art pieces from modern Israeli works to ancient American art.
This is an absolute must see venue. The expansive, well documented display cases with adequate room to comfortably view and study. This place multistory so plan on several hours of enjoyment and learning. We need to go back a second time! The mosaics are beautiful.
Tim M — Google review
Save your time with other small museums and go for the biggest, most interesting, and best museum in Israel. Here you’ll see with your own eyes treasures you never imagined existed- incredibly ancient archaeological findings, breathtaking classical art, and beautiful contemporary works.
Aviv Z — Google review
This is a must destination you can't afford to miss during your stay in Jerusalem. A detail visit will take a full day. You could check many antiquits out according to different history period of Jerusalem. The main difference between Tower of David and here is that many exclusive antitiquits are in display. The Tower of David, on the other hand, is mainly fous on history narrative.
Chiang J — Google review
This was the most impressive museum we have ever been to! We enjoyed it so much we went twice during our time in Jerusalem! Thinking we were just going to see important Israeli artifacts, we were extremely surprised to see archaeological remains from around the world, painting a picture of the evolution of civilization. There were also Jewish displays of life and art, modern and contemporary art from around the world, and the most amazing outdoor display of a replica of Jerusalem’s Old City during the time of The Second Temple. The biggest treat were The Dead Sea Scrolls, which I did not know much about until seeing this exhibit. Excellent collection!
Brian R — Google review
Lovely museum. Highly recommend. I would recommend the museum provide more details for the artifact descriptions and better directions on how to navigate the exhibits as we double backed and got lost a few times.
Stephanie — Google review
It was very educational. Raining outside and roof was leaking along the walls when you walk in. You can spend all day here if you’re really into archaeology and history.
Mark T — Google review
This was a highlight of our trip. It's a huge museum with lots of various exhibits with various themes and overall, it's very well done. It is very big though, and directions to certain exhibits weren't as clear as we'd hope so we did waste some time looking around for things as it's not labeled well. With that said, there's a lot to see and learn about. The must see is the Shrine of the Book where you can see the Dead Sea Scrolls and Qumran. There are a lot of archaeological artifacts all throughout this massive place and so getting here early in the day is advised so you can see as much as you want without having to rush. When we were there, they had replicas of various old synagogues from different corners of the world and it was very interesting. I could ramble on and on about everything there is to do there, but it's forever changing, so when you know you're going to the area, look up what they have showing and head to those exhibits first. Based on the fact that there's so much to take in and exhibits that change often, this is definitely a place you can come to several times. There's a beautiful gift shop at the exit (of course) and I can't really speak to parking much as we took a taxi there and back, but definitely be sure not to miss out on a visit here when you're in Jerusalem.
Angie B — Google review
I can't believe I have lived in Israel for 27 years and it took me this long to visit this incredible museum. I felt connected to the powerful history of this important city in a way that I never had before. I needed more time to explore than I realized that I would and I will return soon.

Church
Sights & Landmarks
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is a historic basilica dating back to the 4th century and is believed by some Christians to be the site of Jesus's tomb. The church holds immense historical significance, with its roots tracing back through thousands of years of Jewish history, from Byzantine Rule to the British Mandate. Visitors can experience a whirlwind tour that includes stops at iconic sites like the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, and Bethlehem.
The church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (as part of Jerusalem’s Old City) and contains artifacts like Crusader-era graffiti and Byzantine mosaics. • Excavations and repairs often reveal new insights, such as the 2016 uncovering of the original rock surface of Jesus’ tomb, confirming its historical continuity.

Come here as early as possible: Before 8:00 in the morning. Avoid visiting during 10:00-1400 because this is the most popular time for guide tour. Otherwise, come here after late 18:00. In doing so, separate you Via Dodorosa walk into 2 parts. One part is station 1-7 which is outside church and another station 8-14 in the church. This is possible by 2 day's visit instead of 1. By doing so, you will be rewarded greatly. An empty, serene and sacred church is all for you. No queue, no smoke, no noisy. Reflection at a corner, what a kind of spiritual awakeness. Praise Lord!

Interesting site. Im Christian, not Catholic, so I dont love all the idols everywhere, but beautiful church and historic, no doubt. I also dont know how they know these sites are legit, but its a cool place to see.
Jonathan W — Google review
Was lucky enough to go with a tour guide and get a full run down of the space - it’s obviously supremely important to many sects and denominations in Christianity and the reverence for that was evident - many people were over come with emotions. As well as pointing out various things to us, the guide pointed out some of the possible over zealous aspects too, saying people had fought over the privilege of clearing the area outside the church (including a fight to the death over whether the bottom step was to be cleaned by one group or another) and a bench occupied by a large man in religious robes who sits there all day, because that is his denominations bench and no others are allowed to sit there. It’s amazing to see the various places where Jesus’ body was placed and buried, but also to see the reaction of people to those things. It’s also one of the areas where you feel tourism hasn’t taken over - quiet reverence in full effect. Make the trip if you ever can
Leon H — Google review
Absolutely beautiful and moving church it was an amazing experience to visit the site of Jesus christs crucifixion and resurrection. The church is vast and awe inspiring please note you will not be allowed to enter the sepulchre with shorts even if they cover you knees. Although this applied to me I was delighted to have visited

I’m a Christian and a priest-in-training, and this just wasn’t for me in terms of finding a connection with Jesus or feeling close to God. I can appreciate the craftsmanship of the building, and the significance of the site, but for so many reasons I felt sad and anguished in this place. Worth a visit, but leaves you with much to reflect on. There were many other places on pilgrimage that left me breathless. The Holy Sepulchre was unfortunately not one of them.
Gael R — Google review
This is the most holy site in Jerusalem. This is the place where our Lord Jesus Christ was laid in a tomb after he was brought down from the cross. The place is usually very crowded. Better be there early in the morning to avoid the rush. The historical structure looks awesome. You can feel the peace and holiness as you enter in. A must visit place.

The Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, is a significant site in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem. It is a remnant of the ancient wall that surrounded the Temple courtyard and holds great religious and historical importance for Jewish people. Visitors can witness worshippers reciting verses or leaving written prayers in its stones. The wall was built around 2000 years ago to support Temple Mount, and after the destruction of the Second Temple, it became a place for lamentation.
Fully spiritual place No matter where you come from the place has so much emotions to it Nothing like touching to wall that was built over 2000 years ago and is unchanged since mind blowing not like any other architectural/ archeological counterpart.

It was a holyday eve and half of the floor was closed due to cleaning precess. Me and the kids were excited to see the western wall - the only real memorial of the 2,000 years destroyed temple

This is the holiest site at which Jews are permitted to pray. In 1925 the Moslem Waqf published a pamphlet that explicitly acknowledged the Kotel as part of Solomon's Temple, declaring "Its identity with the site of Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute". After Israel's creation in 1948 the so called Palestinians deny any connection of Jews to the site.

The first time I came here I felt a charge of energy when I touched the wall. I wasn’t religious but couldn’t explain the overwhelming amount of emotion that came over me. That was over ten years ago. Last year I came back, now religious, and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to come here and daven on behalf of my friends and family.

The holiest place on Earth. The only remaining wall left standing after the Roman destruction of the second temple built by Herod. It has become the beacon for Judaism for the last 2000 years. Jews as well as all monothiests come here to beseech thier creator. One day soon it will be rebuilt to its proper grandeur

Western Wall

Sights & Landmarks

Eyal B — Google review
Visiting the Western Wall was a profoundly moving experience. Standing before its ancient stones, I felt a deep spiritual connection — a sense of holiness, history, and prayer that touched my soul. It was a moment of true inner peace and awe.
MOSHE R — Google review
The most holy and special place I have ever been to, holy to Jews but also to anyone who wants to connect with our spirituality! It's something in the air that you feel is priceless!
Maor M — Google review
This is the holiest site at which Jews are permitted to pray. In 1925 the Moslem Waqf published a pamphlet that explicitly acknowledged the Kotel as part of Solomon's Temple, declaring "Its identity with the site of Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute". After Israel's creation in 1948 the so called Palestinians deny any connection of Jews to the site.

The Garden Tomb Jerusalem

Sights & Landmarks
The Garden Tomb Jerusalem is a site surrounded by gardens and believed by some to be the location of Jesus Christ's resurrection. The history of the Land of Israel is rich, spanning from ancient times to the present day, with events such as Byzantine Rule and the British Mandate shaping its story. Located in Jerusalem City Centre, this historical site offers visitors a chance to explore its significance within walking distance of other attractions like Machane Yehuda Market and Damascus Gate.
This is a remarkable place. It offers a wonderful visual representation of the garden and tomb. The site has many places for worship. Hearing songs of praise in many languages was very touching. It is beautifully maintained. An excellent stop for any Christian pilgrim.
Bryan S — Google review
A quite and serene oasis tucked inside the city. A remarkable place. Don't visit with a rush, properly take in the place. The staff seemed very nice, very authentic. This place was the last place we visited in Jerusalem, and it was very very special. I'm glad it we left it last, and I'm glad I was a part of a very small group (of five), and it was pretty quiet the time we visited the place (Sunday morning). Oh, and in case you're wondering. The tomb was empty.
Snowbird . — Google review
Although there is no absolute certainty that this was, in fact, the tomb where Jesus was laid and from which he rose, its internal structure is exactly the same as that described in Holy Scripture. The place is wonderfully well maintained. When in Jerusalem, a visit to this place is a must. Beautiful and exciting!
Henrique C — Google review
It's been 35 years since my first visit. The garden is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and fully accessible. I also loved meeting Thomas and Bella the resident cats!
Yvonne M — Google review
Highly qualified guides do a great job of presenting the evidence that this is the actual site of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there are multiple sites for group meetings for lectures. Group admissions are regulated so that the grounds don’t become crowded. You can enter and view the Garden Tomb.
Jeffrey H — Google review
Beautiful and meaningful place. Entrance free. After exiting garden on the right side about 30 meters from exit doors is small caffe. To be honest - up to date best coffee in Israel.
Pauls O — Google review
For non Catholic Christians (I'm Catholic) they believe Christ was crucified and hurried here. I've been to both and I don't care both are plausible and actually very close to each other. So I have no problem with either speculation. I love them both. As an adult I can say I wept like I never thought I could.
Emerald M — Google review
Strangely serene place. Beautiful garden, very carefully tended. The question about this perhaps being Christ's tomb really hurts home when you see the place: proximity to major road to Damascus gate, skull formation in Rock, wine press, and tomb in quarry. Quite worth the visit. Free!

Historic Sites
The Mount of Olives, a historic mountain referenced in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, holds significant religious and cultural importance. It has been a sacred spot for centuries and is now home to several important churches and holy sites. Notably, it was mentioned in the Scriptures as King David's escape route during his son's rebellion and later in the prophets. In the New Testament, it is where Jesus taught his disciples, wept over Jerusalem, and ascended into heaven.
Located in the old city Jerusalem. It is in walking distance from old city, and got lotsa historic & religious importance for Judaism.
Tina G — Google review
Fntastic experience. I strongly recoment going from the bottom to the top using, not the road, but the stairs. It will give you the opportunity to visit the valley of the kings. At the bottom of the valley, and then to duscover amzing views of old Jeruslem, the wall, the valley, and the miriad of tumbs, step by step. Better if you start your visit at 15:30 or 16:00 so that you can appreciate the sunset from the top.
Alejandro G — Google review
Such an amazing spot to visit. The views over Jerusalem from the top are incredible. The hike up is steep and takes some time, but is definitely worth it. The views are especially amazing during sunset.
Joost N — Google review
The Mount of Olives, just east of Jerusalem’s Old City, offers one of the most iconic views of the city. From its slopes, you can see the ancient walls, the Dome of the Rock, and the full sweep of Jerusalem’s layered past. Beyond the view, the Mount is rich in history and culture. It’s been a burial site for over 3,000 years and holds deep significance in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions. Landmarks like the ancient Jewish cemetery, the Garden of Gethsemane, and several historic churches reflect the area’s central role in the story of Jerusalem. Even for non-religious visitors, walking among the olive trees and centuries-old paths is a powerful experience. The mix of quiet, history, and panoramic beauty makes it one of the city’s most memorable spots. ***Visit early or late in the day for softer light and fewer crowds.
Anas S — Google review
From here you can oversee the entire city of Jerusalem. It's a beautiful spot to be. This view is just incredible and to see the historic places from above is really special. You won't regret it to come to this Place. It has a lot to offer.

The best spot to see the old Jerusalem. The sunset view is amazing. The old jerusalem Panorama is breathtaking. It's a must place to visit. The Church of Ascension is also located here.

This is where you get the iconic photo of old city Jerusalem. It is in walking distance from old city, just exit from lion gate and walk up the hill. Taxi will cost you about 10 usd but since it is about a half an hour walk I recommend walking. There is also a viewing area specifically for taking the photos
Allen L — Google review
Amazing place to see the Old City from a high point of view. It is really wonderful to see the sunset as the lights start to come on, something which I could call magical. Getting here can be a bit confusing and tiring in the summer, but it's completely worth it.

One of the most tranquil, peaceful havens in the country. Easy to step back in time and imagine life during the Biblical period. One of the best places to put the text into context and see the seven species and four species in situ.

Good place for family outdoor activities. There are picnic areas, tables, toilets and sinks, parking and shop. The park looks abandoned and not well-groomed, there is a lot of rubbish, half of the exhibits are broken, the asphalt is in poor condition. Beautiful place and nature to come for a walk, you can meet different birds and rodents, but the entrance fee is too high for this park.

Especially in the spring! If you have kids you can let them let run wild. Don't miss the flower mill. It is amazing how they worked with simple mechanic. Flower, birds, archeology, path for strollers...in a lovely landscape. Lot to learn how things were done in biblical time. Don't do it in the heat of the day!

Gorgeous park, great for families and people of all ages. Light nature walks abound. Learn about Israel's history through the biblical species that were planted at Neot Kedumim, from almond trees to hyssop. See how wine and olives were pressed in ancient days, and marvel at the depth of the cisterns and wells. A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.
Zamir M — Google review
A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.

Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).

One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning collection of Israeli art, which provides a unique perspective on the country's rich cultural heritage and history. The museum's collection includes works by renowned Israeli artists such as Reuven Rubin, Nahum Gutman, and Yigal Tumarkin, among others. These artworks offer a fascinating insight into the Israeli art scene and its evolution over the years. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy, with its modern and sleek design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding urban landscape.

Highly recommend! Had the best time with my 5 yo daughter. She mostly enjoyed the Helena Rubinstein’s Miniature Rooms, the birds and the NFT exhibitions. The museum is very well maintained, clean and not crowded. Kids under 18 get a free ticket. Personally I prefer to get the tickets online, but there was no line waiting to buy tickets in the museum itself when we got there. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opens at 10 am each other day of the week. Check the website about the closing hours which change every day. And of course opening hours change on holidays.

When I visited we were welcomed with their wheat beer and given a short tour thru the production facilities, which ended in a longer conversation with one of the owners. Their story is fascinating and a great example of the diversity that makes palestine. My personal Highlight of a great trip and the bottle holds a special place in the collection.

A small fine brewery. Brews a top beer Is brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot. Hops from Bavaria, water from the area and malt from Israel. Very good tour by the owner. The Taybeh Gold and the Brewmaster Zaatar accompanied us on our trip. Really TOP.

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Tel Shilo, the biblical city with a rich history and spiritual significance, is a must-visit destination. It was the location of the Tabernacle for centuries and where the mysterious Feast of Love was celebrated during Joshua's time. The site offers multimedia shows including a 3D hologram of the Tabernacle vessels and a movie about Hannah and Samuel. The ongoing archaeological dig is fascinating, revealing new insights into this ancient place.
So much history, amazing views, picnic areas with hammocks. Clean and well maintained. Probably better to schedule a tour rather than go it alone if you truly want to understand all of the history of the place but alone is still awesome

It's kind of amazing for us to visit an ancient site, which could be dated back to thousands of year. All sites are well-documented in old testament!
Chiang J — Google review
Haven’t been here personally. I just wanted to add some History. These were the lands of Joshua, from the Bible. Joshua’s Inheritance, from the Lord. Near Mount Ephraim, Timnath-serah. And near Joshua’s place of burial. 🪦 🙏🏽 It would be so amazing to walk these lands and see them. Joshua, 19:49-51.

Great archaeological dig that is going on. It’s amazing that about 40 years ago, there was nothing there until a group of nine families set out with the same dream to find the place of Shiloh. Now it is a great place and they have a great vineyard in the area. Wine you can get from nowhere else in the world.

Shiloh is a great place to visit, I don’t know if it was just me but you could feel the presence of the tabernacle! In the Biblical heartland of Samaria Shiloh offers a movie experience to discover the tabernacle and history surrounding this area, with the tabernacle said to be here for 369 years.

Impressive site and well kept. Nice gift shop with snacks, hologram helps people understand the history of Shilo, as does the video farther into the site. Places are well described on signs. Always a pleasure to visit!

Tel Shilo is a must go to understand the reason why the Jews are commanded to celebrate the feasts. There is so much to see and understand and they are constantly upgrading themselves from many years ago when I last visit them. I especially love the media presentation of Shiloh. As they said a picture speaks a thousand words. I finally understood why the Jews do the things they do religiously.
David L — Google review
Such an profoundly moving visit to the 3,500-year-old biblical site in the ancient city of Mishkan Shilo. Enjoyed the opportunity to view the Chronicles of Shiloh in the Seers tower during our visit to the area of the Prophet Samuel and biblical heros Hannah, Elkanah and others. To be able to make Aliyah once to the site if of the Mishkan HaKodesh like our forefathers did three times a year, when they made a pilgrimage for the three high holy days before the Mishkan was moved to Mount Moriah in Jerusalem (The Temple mount). Feel extremly blessed being able to access the area of Israel. While it was wet an rainy day it was a truly memorable experience and a moving one.

The Roman theater, known as Teatro Romano de Cesarea Maritima, offers a unique experience with its amazing acoustics and stunning seaside view. The open-air setting features stone benches for seating, allowing guests to enjoy musical performances while taking in the beautiful Mediterranean backdrop. This historical site is part of biblical events and has been restored for various events, including concerts.
Antique building, part of the ancient city. Now restored and open for various events. There are two entrances: to the territory of the old city, and to the area with cafes and shops. If you do not plan to have lunch, then it is better to pay only for one ticket - to the old city.

Great place. Don't know how much of the original is still there. Great to see that it is still being used for concerts even today. Very impressive structure and would recommend checking it out if you are in the Caesarea National Park.

Nice concert venue. If you’re going there for a concert, maybe try packing a pillow or something soft to sit on like a jacket because the stone seats can be kind of painful after a while. Loved it. I love the Israeli park system but this one in particular was a little annoying. It seems they’ve allowed to much of the world to deep into the antiquity; the amphitheater was dressed up for a concert and every where you turned there were concessions blasting junky western music.

Beautiful and rich in preserved history. If you like history, archeology and having a glimpse into how people in the past lived, these Roman ruins will give you a great view. It is worth the stop to see. This is an impressive Roman era ruin. It is vast and beautiful because it was a right next to the Mediterranean Sea. I enjoyed seeing all the first century arches, the ruins of Herod’s palace and bathhouse, the hippodrome, and the amphitheater. Going here is like walking into history. Paul and Peter from the Bible spent significant time in this place. Even if you are not a history buff, it is easy to imagine people living here and their way of live. It's also a home of amazing restaurants and craft galleries. A must visit.

A very well maintained historical archeological site allowing you to get a glimpse into the ancient Roman world. There is a lot of parking and the view of the see together with the remains is really special. The place is clean, has toilets, and many places selling food. The downside is that on sunny days large part of the park has no shade and it can be challenging and a bit too hot, eapecially with children

The spacious and beautifully designed building houses sculptures by renowned artists like Dali and Rodin, as well as powerful pieces by Latin American surrealists.

What a wonderful museum! The museum is devoted to the Jews of Spain and Portugal and to the expulsion of these communities in the 15th century. It houses remarkable works by artists from Spain and Portugal, including an amazing collection of coins, works by Salvador Dalí, and impressive sculptures. You can also admire paintings that are spectacular in their detail and quality, many inspired by biblical stories. There is a small but impressive exhibition on the Caesarea area, highlighting different periods in history. Definitely add this museum to your list – you won’t regret it! And the best part: entry is completely free.

What a fascinating place. History from the beginning of time, also an architectural maze...where to start? Stunning scenery to adventures in the underground well and tunnels. The on site teams where so helpful and pleasant. It wasn't on my original visit list but was so glad I did. Really enjoyed the day.

Very interesting park! During the travel, you can listen to historical facts (just use qr code near exponents). If you like a history, I recommend visiting other Biblical Tells - Hazor and Beer Sheva.

Fascinating and well kept archaeological site. It was bigger than I expected and plenty of signs explaining the various sections, levels and buildings. Also auditory explanations available if you have ear buds (if not, you can buy them at the shop). Great views of the surrounding area from the look out points. The last section is the tunnel down to the spring which supplied water to the inhabitants. Around 100 stairs down and 70 up, worth the effort if you can but can be skipped. The shop is one of the best stocked I've seen at such sites and the small museum next to it is an absolute must.
Kim L — Google review
Twenty-one layers of history, very good , clear English instructions and explanations showing directions when walking around the site. The underground cistern dug out of the bedrock and then the view over the valley where many battles had taken place over the years makes this site a must see when travelling around Israel.
Justin D — Google review
Tel Megiddo is a great place. If you struggle with mobility. It’s probably too strenuous especially if you do the hike down into the cistern. It is an impressive archeological ruin and really well preserved. The video they show at the visitor center is well done and engaging. The cistern is a must see attraction if you can handle over 150 stairs down and up.

Atlit Detention Camp

Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Wonderful museum that tells thehistory of the illegal immigration to Eretz Israel during the British mandate. Worth a visit
Sandra A — Google review
A detention center for illegal Jewish immigrants, known as “ma’apilim”. Before and during World War II, thousands of Jewish people were fleeing their homes trying to escape persecution and concentration camps, seeking refuge in Palestine from 1934 to 1948 (which is now the State of Israel). The land was under British Mandate and officials let very few Jewish people into the country legally. Those who did not have a valid permit to be in the country were detained and placed in camps like the one in Atlit. We had a really good guide bringing us around the place. Getting to know the history of Israel deeper 😊

Such an emotional place and I have learned alot of what have happened during the past I recommend coming and learning in this place of really stories that have happened
M. G — Google review
Very worthwhile visit. Having visited many concentration camps in Europe, I found it absolutely chilling to see the behind-barbed-wire conditions in which "illegal" immigrant refugees were kept in 1947-8 by the British, in pre-independence Mandatory Palestine. The story of the camp, and the broader story of the post-war wave of immigration before the declaration of independence, is told very well. A skillful combination of imaginative and effective executed dioramas, film and reconstructions /refurbishment of an immigrant ship, an aircraft, barracks and other artefacts, creates an engaging, immersive narrative experience. Guided tours, taking between one and two hours, add information and help link these facilities. While you are free to explore the camp independently, and there are a number of explanation points that play pre-recorded audio information in a few languages, it's very worthwhile to take the guided tour. Tours are available in English and in Hebrew. Our guide was a young student who knew his subject pretty well, although his knowledge and understanding of the broader background of pre-war Germany, the Holocaust and related subjects was rather shallower. Unfortunately, he lacked the maturity and experience to effectively read his audience, so the explanations were too long-winded for most of our group of about 18 people, which included several children, and the tour was too long as a result. My only other quibbles are that the acting, casting and make-up in the films, and the English voice-over dialogue, are pretty wooden and unconvincing (most refugees from DP camps in Europe looked neither that beautiful nor that well-fed!), though good use is made of interleaved authentic newsreel footage. Also, the narrative message is unashamedly, in-your-face gung-ho secular labour Zionist propaganda, and completely omits any mention of contested or controversial aspects of the story, such as how religious child refugees were treated. Notwithstanding that, the camp and for provide a valuable insight into this largely unknown story of pre -independence refugee immigration. The camp has been developed really well in recently years, and this process is continuing, with the addition of major new exhibits: the aircraft was undergoing refitting on our visit. Considerable effort has been made to make complex exhibits like the shop fully disabled accessible. But the camp needs better facilities for visitors. It's quite a large area and it can be extremely hot, so there needs to be more shaded spots where visitors can stand and soak up the feel of the place, look around, and refill water bottles. Better signposting around the site is needed, and so is a simple one-page map handout, which could show a recommended route and locations of e.g. toilets and drinking water points (which there aren't enough of).

Took a 4-year old on a tour, discovering statues, flowers, houses. A charming place for people of all ages, with craftsman and artists, restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature.
Adam S — Google review
This place is picturesque and peaceful, but it’s important to know that it stands on the land of the former Palestinian village of ʿAyn Hawd, which was depopulated in 1948. The name was later changed to “Ein Hod.” While the art and atmosphere are lovely, the transformation of a once-inhabited village into an artist colony without acknowledging its original people feels like an erasure of history. Places like this should honor the truth and memory of those who lived here before.
Musrifah A — Google review

Wonderful place to visit. It marks the site where Elijah met the prophets of Baal and showed the people of Israel that the LORD was the true God, not Baal. It was here where the LORD sent fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice Elijah had prepared. There is a monastery at the top of Mt Carmel with a beautiful chapel with pictures highlighting the ministry of Elijah the prophet of Yahweh. Also a beautiful view of the valley below.

Awesome place to visit. You should stop by if nothing else just to take in the glorious view from the top! I would highly recommend stopping by here while visiting Israel. You will not regret it one bit.

Great views from the top, and the statue of Elijah is a must-see. The gardens around the plaza are also very well-tended, and have definitely been updated since the last time I was here in 2010. The church is great and the story here is one of my favorites from the Old Testament. Highly recommend coming here.

Mount Carmel. This is where the prophet Elijah challenged the prophets of the demon god Baal to a showdown Each side set up an altar with wood and a sacrificed bull but had to call upon their god to light the fire. The baal prophets went first, danced, prayed, cut themselves but nothing happened Elijah took his turn, soaked everything with water then called upon Jehovah. Fire came down from heaven immediately and consumed the sacrifice, the wood and the altar. This prompted the populace to declare that Jehovah is the one true God and they slew the 450 prophets of Baal This whole event really upset King Ahab and his wife Jezebel The full story is in the Bible 1 Kings 18:21 ++ The view is fabulous, overlooking the Plains of Megiddo where Revelation 16 says the final battle of Armageddon week be fought
