Dukhan Public Beach

Beach
Nature & Parks
Out of all beaches in Qatar, this would be my go to beach. Beautiful sunsets, warm water and few people. Issues: no washrooms, no rescue service, you are totally on your own.
Waseim Y — Google review
Open beach for Swimming. Parking space may be an issue during the festive seasons
Ajmal G — Google review
Had fun in quite a fabulous weather condition in the month of December. The beach was clean but there were so many rocks inside water so if you want to enjoy inside the water this location is not for you. Till the evening there are a few people so you can enjoy your time with your friends and family. The most important point is there's no public toilets or shower provision on the beach or nearby area.
Rutvik ( — Google review
Public parks are free and a great place to “touch the water.” I've noticed things here that I've never seen before.
Shabbir B — Google review
As I head towards the beautiful Dukhan Beach, I wanted to take a moment to share some important information a water in the beach is crystal nice sunset view. in addition carry some fresh water to take a shower after taking a bath in the beach water.
Mohsin A — Google review
Well maintained and family friendly beach. Very clean that from time to time there were maintenance roaming around to clean, collect the trash and replace the plastic in the bin. The only issue is bathrooms are not available during Fridays (I guess) because we saw public toilets but it’s closed. Hope they can add more benches and umbrellas ❤️ But overall it was a wonderfull experience with our kids seeing alot of small fishes swimming around us ❤️
Ruth — Google review
The best beach to visit in Qatar. Blue water, clean beach always less crowded. Perfect gateway for weekend trip.
Mohit D — Google review
the very best beach of Qatar, clean sand, high tides, good sun sitting view, sea view is awesome during sun sit.... Perfect location for outing, camping, picnic, barbecue and fishing... The place where you get romantic with surrounding nature and beauty, your heart will calm down when every tide touching the shore sometime gently and slowly to give calm to your turbulent thoughts... alas! Washrooms are not available on this beach.

The size of this museum and the shear number of artifacts is amazing. Exhibits cover an amazing array of world history. Truly one of the largest private museum's in the world, the collection is Smithsonian quality.
Daniel S — Google review
Must visit place if you're a car guy! This place have a lot of things like fossils, stones, remains of old structures, ammunitions, attires, jewelry, sports etc. But the most interesting thing was the massive collection of cars. Not just cars, there are trucks, vans, and even a plane! The cars were of different brands including Porsche,Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Cadillac,Pontiac, Chevy,Dodge,Jeep,Willys,Mercedes, BMW,Audi,Subaru,Nissan,Toyota,Honda, and the list goes on and on. The museum is situated right behind the Leaning Minaret. They have some expansion works going on now,so probably much more collections will be available soon. Try to come in the morning or early in the afternoon,as it will take some time to explore all of it. Also, there's a farm and horse riding club nearby, which closes by 5pm.

Nestled within a private estate on the outskirts of Doha, the FBQ Museum offers a truly unique and enriching experience. This privately owned museum, established by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, is a remarkable reflection of his personal passion for history, culture, and heritage. One of its most iconic features is a historic mosque with a leaning minaret located adjacent to the museum—an architectural curiosity that adds to the charm of the estate. The museum itself houses a diverse and thoughtfully curated collection spread across several halls. A highlight is the Qur’an section, which showcases exquisite handwritten manuscripts and rare copies, offering a spiritual and artistic journey through Islamic calligraphy and scriptural history. Another standout exhibit is the authentic Syrian house, meticulously transported from Damascus and reconstructed brick by brick inside the museum grounds. It offers a rare glimpse into traditional Damascene architecture and home life from over a century ago. The museum also features an impressive collection of vintage cars and trucks, tracing the evolution of automotive design and transport through the decades. A significant portion of the collection reflects the Sheikh’s deep appreciation for Moroccan culture, with numerous artifacts, crafts, and items sourced from Morocco on display. From intricately carved doors to traditional garments and ceramics, this section offers a vivid taste of North African heritage. Overall, the FBQ Museum is well worth an afternoon visit for families, culture lovers, and curious minds alike. It combines history, religion, architecture, and automotive passion all in one serene and beautifully maintained setting. • Entry ticket: 50 QAR • Children: Free entry • Location: Al Samriya Estate, ~30 minutes drive west of Doha • Facilities: Guided tours available, on-site café, and ample parking

Price is good (comparing to other parks I have visit) Huge Park! I have enjoyed, the have 53 Games. Recommend!
Abdulmalik A — Google review
The park was clean. Not very busy on a Wednesday. Unfortunately afew slides & Kids play areas were closed either temporarily or construction. The staff is helpful & friendly. Not overpriced. Convenient if you live in Hilton Salwa otherwise, its more than an hr drive from Doha
Naser S — Google review
Its is the best place spend to your weekend, specially if you are with family. I was with my friends no problems what so ever. Rides are nice and thrilling and priced very well, like i left water boarding as I didn't think i would be able to have fun with that. Food options are also good enough. No other place can give you the thrill of US Air force landing just passing you over head. Must visit if spending weekends in Doha. Cheers
Muhammad A — Google review
The first outdoor water park in Qatar. Fanastic slides that really excites you to slide more. The cool part is, that there are sectors for small kids, adolescent and adults. The area is really big and still the staff are well organize, they have more than enough life guards to check you and your kids. The food serve here in kiosk are very cheap and lots of food to choose from. Finally, watch out for the planes flying above the Aqua Park.

We came here and we were surprised that's it's closed from a very long time, but on google maps still open!

Aqua Park is really the perfect place to spend the day in spring. It's too hot in summer so spring really is the perfect time to go. Aqua Park is really fun for kids and adults. It's not the best waterpark but still really fun.
Kaosar A — Google review
This is a nice LITTLE Aqua park. There isn’t much there. I paid a more discounted fee as there was an offer on the day we went. For young children it was a day of fun, but to be fair there’s not much there to do. The staff were very helpful, as I didn’t print my ticket, the took the booking number. There are 4 big water features and several pools. The main ones are the pirate area, the slide and the boat slide (how many times can you go on those before the novelty wares off). A water path, where you sit in an inflatable and travel around the path. There is also a swimming pool with a wave machine which, was on only twice in the 5 hrs we were there!! The pool was enjoyable and there are clean facilities. We did have a nice day, however it’s not a nice lace we’ll be running back to in a hurry. You cannot bring coolers into the park to have a picnic, we discovered this when we were leaving, when someone had theirs taken away.

التغدية الراجعة بالعربي في الأسفل In total Bad Experience: - Tickets are very expensive and does not include all areas. - Food is over priced (one resturant sell one burger 40 Riyals!!), cheese pizza price is ok 35 QAR. - The water is very cold in the kids pool while the adults pool is not that cold, not sure if they can Control the water temperature. - It is not very clean, when you pay 480 QAR for small family you expect to see something that more clean (please see some pictures). - It is not very green (less grass and no trees in some areas of the park), removing trees caused to show the white building that was hidden with the trees (please see the picture). - With the white building in the left side of the park; how can women's take off their clothes (we are muslims, and any one living in the building can take photos from the roof of the building!!)

Shopping mall
Shopping
International brands are located within this stylish air conditioned mall established in 2016.
Review – Mall of Qatar Mall of Qatar is one of the best shopping and entertainment destinations in Doha. It has something for everyone—from a wide variety of shops and international brands to great dining options and family-friendly activities. The mall is spacious, beautifully designed, and well-maintained, which makes it easy and enjoyable to explore. One of the highlights is the Oasis stage area in the center, where they often host live shows and events, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. There’s also a good selection of restaurants and cafes, whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a sit-down meal. It’s also very family-friendly, with play areas for kids and the adjacent KidZania being a popular choice for younger visitors. Another plus is the easy access and ample parking, which makes visiting hassle-free even on weekends. Overall, Mall of Qatar is a great spot to shop, eat, relax, or enjoy time with family. It’s always a pleasant experience, and definitely one of my favorite places in Doha.

Mall of Qatar is definitely among the top 5 best malls in Qatar. It’s spacious, well-organized, and has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. However, compared to Vendome or Villaggio Mall, it’s slightly less luxurious. Still, it’s absolutely worth visiting for shopping, dining, or just spending quality time with family and friends.
Mishal H — Google review
Its a huge mall with the different brand shops. I loved home box shop, it was a sale there, so I bought many interesting things for home from there. Overall, the place is comfortable with a metro station in it. Also there are many cafe and restaurants to have lunch. I had a lunch at Azkadeniya, which offers Lebanese and Algerian food, and it was delicious and the waiter was so polite. So its a good place for shopping
Iroda N — Google review
Visiting the Mall of Qatar feels like stepping into an entirely different world — a harmonious blend of modern luxury and lush natural beauty. The interior design is truly one of the most spectacular I’ve ever witnessed. Towering structures are wrapped in vibrant greenery, with real plants and foliage cascading down walls and enveloping seating areas in a serene, jungle-like atmosphere. What truly sets this mall apart is its unmatched attention to detail — stunning décor, tranquil fountains, and exotic plant arrangements create an ambiance that feels more like a botanical garden fused with high-end luxury than a shopping center. Everywhere you look, you’re greeted with beauty, elegance, and thoughtful design. Beyond the breathtaking aesthetics, the Mall of Qatar offers a diverse and impressive range of experiences. With world-renowned brands, local gems, and countless restaurants and cafes, there’s always something new to discover. Whether you’re looking for high fashion, gourmet meals, or a quiet place to enjoy a coffee, it delivers on all fronts. And let’s not forget the welcoming staff — from entrance to exit, the service is warm, professional, and attentive. Even the entrance to the mall is a sight to behold, with mesmerizing indoor and outdoor fountains that set the tone for everything inside. ✨ Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, Mall of Qatar is a must-visit destination. It’s not just a mall — it’s an immersive, magical escape you’ll never forget.

Fantastic place to see after drive through sand dunes. Beautiful to watch sun rise and sunset here. Everyone must go for at least one time. Kids will really enjoy the drive on 4X4 in sand dunes. Advice to go in group, will help if you have any difficulty in sand dunes.

The Sea and the desert dunes meet!(currently listed under potentials on Unesco) It is also the border to neighbours Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Tip: check for clear skies. This desert safari is fun and its good for all ages. There are a lot to do here if you like Sand dune buggies, Paragliders, Pony, Camel riding and you could opt for a not so quiet stroll on the beach.
Desmond W — Google review
Great place! If I would do it once again, I would take some food for a picnic and stay there for the whole day. The beach is very good and even in winter you can swim there. The ground is also good, thus, you do not need special shoes. It is possible to come there using Google maps of course only with four wheel drive vehicle. There is a street without that much sand. Normally, all cars using this was to come back.

Sealine Beach, A Murwab Resort

Nature & Parks
Sealine Beach, a Murwab Resort is a luxurious contemporary accommodation offering stunning views of the Gulf. The resort boasts of outdoor pools and three restaurants. It is an ideal family-friendly place situated on the beach with great rooms, excellent beaches, and good food. With lifeguards supervising the swimming pools, guests can relax knowing their security is assured. One aspect that could be improved upon is the quality of food in the main restaurant near the lobby as it was poor value for money.
The place is absolutely worth every penny! I went for a day pass with my family and took the ticket that included lunch. The buffet, open from 12:30 to 3:30, was delicious, clean, and very well organized. The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. The beach was beautiful, and the swimming pools were great — there is also kids’ area, which was well-maintained and safe . There are plenty of lifeguards and security around. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to visit and relax. Highly recommended!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would! Our experience at Murwab Resort Sealine was beyond perfect. We had a last minute event and honestly didn’t expect things to come together so well but the team led by Ms Twinkle here made it look effortless. A massive shout out to the incredible manager Ms Twinkle humble, kind, and a true superstar. That personal touch made all the difference. She handled everything like a pro, even allowed a few special requests that are normally not permitted, and helped our staff enjoy sheesha at a discounted rate. Mr Salman serving us with an amazing hospitality. The way Ms Valentina and Ms Rabia had everyone on their feet. It was a memorable moment. The setup, the service, the vibe everything was on point. The entire team was warm, professional, and genuinely cared about making things smooth and memorable. Many thanks to Mr Hany, Mr Akshay for their amazing service. Also amazing staff Mr Zubair who is famous now for serving crushed ice every time with a huge smile😂 To anyone planning an event or just looking for a place that treats you like family look no further. This place is a gem. THANK YOU for making our day so special. We’ll definitely be back!

After careful consideration, I decided to adopt a medium-sized dog from a local shelter. When I finally brought my new friend home, it felt like a dream come true. My dog settled in quickly, exploring every nook and cranny of her new surroundings. It was delightful to watch her personality unfold over the days. I invested in some essentials—food, toys, and a cozy bed—which she immediately took to. **Bonding and Training** The bond we’ve formed has deepened with each passing day. We’ve enjoyed long walks, playful fetch sessions, and plenty of cuddle time on the couch. Training has been a fun challenge, and I appreciate how enthusiastic and eager she is to learn new commands. With each small victory, whether it’s mastering "sit" or refraining from barking at the mailman, I feel an incredible sense of accomplishment. **Health Check and Ongoing Care** Shortly after adoption, I took her for a comprehensive health check at our local vet. The shelter had done an excellent job with her initial vaccinations, and the vet confirmed that she was in great health. I've also made sure to stay on top of her preventive care, and it’s reassuring to know I’m providing her with a safe and loving environment

There’s a great mix of high-end boutiques, popular retail stores, and unique shops, so you can find everything from luxury items to everyday essentials. The food court offers a wide variety of dining options, from fast food to more upscale choices, catering to all tastes and preferences. Plus, the numerous coffee shops are perfect for a quick break or a relaxed catch-up with friends. Customer service here is top-notch, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. There are plenty of parking spaces available, and the security measures make you feel safe while shopping. I also appreciate the entertainment options available, including a cinema and occasional events that make visiting City Mall Dubai more than just a shopping trip. Visited Marina Mall and really liked the ceiling lighting as it gives a nice ambiance. The tinted glass elevator was a highlight, offering a scenic ride with views. However, parking was a bit inconvenient as I had to park outside in the sun; couldn’t find any basement parking. The mall felt quiet and spacious, but food court options were limited or hard to locate. Overall, a decent place for relaxed shopping and a quick visit, but could use some upgrades in amenities and signage.

Many shops aren't open yet or are undergoing renovations. Brands like Sephora have set up stands in the center because their stores are under construction. The mall has a limited selection of stores and is expensive. I think its best feature is the restrooms. They're clean and have no lines. Inside and outside mega parking place is free

Nestled on the 74th floor of the iconic Etihad Towers, the Observation Deck at 300 offers an unparalleled experience for visitors seeking breathtaking views of Abu Dhabi. Standing at a remarkable height of 300 meters, this observation point provides a stunning 360-degree panorama that encompasses the city's skyline, the picturesque Corniche, and the shimmering Arabian Gulf. It's not just about the views; guests can indulge in a delightful afternoon tea while soaking in the luxurious atmosphere.
The third must-see place in Abu Dhabi. If the weather is nice, the view is spectacular. Unfortunately, it wasn't as nice for me. Pollution takes its toll here. It's a shame you can't go outside. At the top, you can grab a coffee and a snack. Overall, I recommend it.
Waldemar K — Google review
A nice spot for tourists. The Observation Deck is at a height of 300 metres , on the 74th Floor of Etihad Towers ( Tower 2 which houses many residential apartments too). It is a circular doughnut shaped glazed Lounge with the elevators in the centre, providing a 360 degree breathtaking views of the islands of this beautiful city of Abu Dhabi Emirate. Ample seating arrangements exist with a small cafeteria counter. You can spend about an hour or more easily. Fee is 50 AED per head and free for kids below 12. Free Valet parking is available. Avail the free briefing about this building from the Receptionist at the ground floor before going up in the lift. If you go in the evenings, can enjoy watching the setting sun in the ocean. Children would love the experience.

An agreeable locale for sightseers. The Observation Deck is perched at an altitude of 300 meters, on the 74th Floor of Etihad Towers (Tower 2, which also accommodates numerous residential dwellings). It's a circular, doughnut-formed, glass-enclosed Lounge with the elevators centrally located, affording panoramic, awe-inspiring vistas of the isles of this gorgeous city within the Abu Dhabi Emirate. Plentiful seating options are present, along with a compact refreshment stand. One could readily while away an hour or longer. The admission charge is 50 AED per person and complimentary for children under 12. Complimentary valet parking is offered. Take advantage of the complimentary introduction concerning this edifice from the Receptionist on the ground floor prior to ascending in the elevator. If visiting in the late afternoon, one can relish observing the sun setting into the sea. The experience will captivate youngsters.

Very nice ambience. The receptionist in observatory is very professional and she explain everything to us. We will comeback for sure. Because we went there late and it's dark outside we didn't see much view. The staff is very friendly, professional and accomodating. Especial thanks to Ms. Aida for accomodating us. Such a professional staff and she's always smiling too. What a great experience. I'll give five star for this.

🌟 A Must-Visit Gem in Abu Dhabi! 🌟 The Observation Deck at 300 is absolutely breathtaking! The panoramic view from the top is nothing short of spectacular — you can see the entire Abu Dhabi skyline, the sparkling coastline, and even the Emirates Palace from a whole new perspective. It’s the perfect spot for stunning photos and unforgettable memories. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff. From the entrance downstairs to the team up at the deck, everyone was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. Their warm hospitality made the visit feel even more special. The only downside? The café prices are definitely on the higher side — a bit more than expected, even for such a premium location. Still, sipping a coffee while overlooking the city is a unique experience that might just be worth the splurge. All in all, an unforgettable visit. Highly recommended for first-timers and locals alike! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆
Alexander W — Google review
Very disappointing experience at Observation Deck 300, Conrad Etihad Towers I had a very disappointing experience at the Observation Deck 300. I called around 3:00 PM to ask if I needed to make a reservation, and the person on the phone told me it’s a walk-in venue, not busy, and that no booking was needed. They never mentioned that seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. I arrived around 4:00 PM, planning to spend about an hour and a half enjoying the view with my guest who came from outside Abu Dhabi especially for this visit. However, when I arrived, the lady at the reception said there were no available tables and that I could only go up to see the view without being seated. After I explained that I had called in advance and that a proper table was important for the experience, she said she would check and offered me a table near the TV — not by the window and definitely not with a view. When I asked to see it, she only showed me a photo, and it was clearly unsuitable. I decided to skip dining and just visit the deck, but once I went up, I was surprised to see several empty tables available. The bigger disappointment, however, was the view itself — the glass was dirty and completely ruined the experience. Overall, from the reception to the deck, the experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the effort. It’s a shame because this place has great potential as a major tourist spot in Abu Dhabi, but poor management and lack of maintenance make it fall short. Definitely not an experience I would repeat or recommend. Attached some pictures.

Observation Deck 300 is a true gem in Abu Dhabi. The panoramic views from the top are absolutely breathtaking—especially during sunset. You get a sweeping view of the city's skyline, the turquoise waters, and beyond. The space itself is elegant and peaceful, perfect for relaxing while soaking in the scenery. The service was fantastic, and the snacks and drinks added a lovely touch to the experience.

Located near Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi, Emirates Heritage Village is a reconstructed Arab village run by the Emirates Heritage Club. It offers visitors a glimpse into traditional Emirati culture and lifestyle before the discovery of oil in the region. The village showcases the Bedouin way of life with traditional tents, coffee, and displays of the Falaj irrigation system used for palm grove irrigation. With regular events and exhibitions, it's a popular destination for those interested in experiencing authentic Emirati heritage.
Despite the July heat, I loved walking around this place. The indoor exhibitions are excellent, offering great insight into Emirati history, traditions, and culture. We were warmly welcomed by two Emirati women in traditional dresses who offered us delicious tea, coffee, and dates grown in the heritage village's garden. An African woman, who was also working there, was incredibly patient and educated, answering all our questions about Emirati traditions in English. This place is a must-visit, especially since entry is free.

We ended up going to Cabana Beach Bar & Restaurant at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi completely unplanned, right after visiting a nearby tourist attraction — and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! The restaurant is right on the Corniche and is easy to find. I had read in Google reviews that it’s one of the best spots in Abu Dhabi for sushi, paired with a beautiful ambiance, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a selection from the appetizers — sushi, avocado truffles, and prawns — and honestly, every dish was a hit. The highlight for me was the sushi, served with freshly grated wasabi, which I tried for the first time. It was such an authentic touch. This is actually a Michelin-starred restaurant as written in the resturant, and you can see the level of detail and quality in everything — from the food presentation to the service. To top it off, we caught the sunset views over the Corniche, which tied the whole experience together and made it truly memorable. If you’re visiting Abu Dhabi and looking for an elegant dining spot with world-class food, amazing views, and a relaxing vibe, Cabana at the St. Regis should definitely be on your list.

An exceptional Lunch at Cabana Bar & Grill! 🌅 The food was absolutely delicious — the brisket sandwich was out of this world, tender and packed with flavor. There were also plenty of great options for kids, making it a perfect spot for families. A special mention goes to Bhaskar, whose outstanding service made our visit even better. He was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and top-notch service — couldn’t recommend it more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great pool, nice beach and very friendly staff. Relaxing setting as it was not busy while I was there. A bit of an issue is if you want to soak up the sun, the two skyscrapers can cast a shadow over the area. By moving around the pool you can still get a nice amount of sun.

We’ve been regulars at Nation Riviera Beach Club for quite some time now, and it continues to impress every single weekend. One of the standout reasons we keep coming back—aside from the beautiful beachfront and facilities—is the exceptional service. Even in the middle of summer, when it is a million degrees outside, the wait staff never miss a beat. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always seem genuinely happy to help. Whether it's making sure our drinks are ice cold or checking in with a smile, they consistently go above and beyond to make our experience comfortable and enjoyable. Their dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, especially in the extreme heat—it’s nothing short of remarkable. Great atmosphere, a place we can properly relax, and the perfect mix of hidden away from the noise of the city/still being in its heart. Prices are affordable and the food is also delicious (love a bit of calamari by the pool)! Living nearby, we consider Nation Riviera our go-to weekend spot, and the wonderful team is a huge part of why that’s the case. If you’re looking for a beach club with top-notch service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this place is a gem.

An old mall with a wood interior. No luxury shops, high end boutique or fine dining. Connected with a bridge to the old souq that's just a tourist trap. No need to go there, Abu Dhabi is full of best options for shipping.

WTC Mall Abu Dhabi is a nice spot to relax. It’s not too crowded, which makes it a chill place to walk around and spend some time. There are some good coffee shops to enjoy, and you can often find great sales in the stores. A comfortable and convenient mall experience.

I love this mall. Its chill and not very crowded like the others which shows that its quality and not just noise. There is everything you need here from shops, restaurants, gyms and even a coworking space. They have a souk section which is designed in a very Arabic authentic style. Its a mall for the pros

Very Rudely staff specially, some Arabic language people from Egypt… they’re not here for Customer problem and they are not professional working just time pass there. We have one issue since three months and they don’t have any solution. We visit another branch in the problem is solved. Be careful they don’t care about Customer and they don’t care about their company background.

Museums
Qasr Al Hosn is a historic palace and fort in Abu Dhabi, dating back to 1795. It was previously inaccessible to the public but has now been transformed into a museum with cultural programs and festivals. The site includes the historic fort, the Cultural Foundation, the National Consultative Council building, and the House of Artisans. Visitors can learn about the city's history and its important cultural tradition of Al Sadu weaving by Bedouin women, recognized by UNESCO.
Beautiful historical gem in the city. Surrounded by tall CBD business centers this old castle is gorgeous. We visited early October, it was 35C hot day. Rooms in the castle do not have aircons. Come prepared, grab a fan or smth to keep you cool. Ticket should be purchased in the building next door House of Artisans. Note - they DON’t take cash! House of Artisans is also a great spot to visit.
Daria P — Google review
We visited it on Tuesday at the beginning of August around 4 pm and it was empty, quiet but we're not able to see everything as it was too hot. There is no AC and all rooms are open, so better to visit it in winter. Though the museum is beautiful, it's fortress, authentic atmosphere, many historical facts are described on the boards, some audio but a little boring and overrated especially for summer time without AC.

What a place to visit! It was a very informative and enjoyable experience. We got to see the exact place that the ruling family of Abu Dhabi were living in. The place is well organized and will take you on a time capsule to experience the life in the past. 10/10 destination to anyone who likes museums.
Reyad K — Google review
Tickets can be purchased either online or at the museum shop across the street. Despite the open windows, the entire complex gets extremely warm — it’s best to visit in the evening. It’s also a good idea to read up on the castle’s history beforehand or join a guided tour. Simply walking through and reading the plaques in each room isn’t particularly engaging.

I visited Qasr Al Hosn (قصر الحصن) and it was an unforgettable experience. The fort is one of the oldest and most iconic buildings in Abu Dhabi, beautifully restored to preserve its history. Inside, there are interactive exhibits, photographs, and artifacts that tell the story of Abu Dhabi’s transformation from a small fishing village to a modern city. The architecture is stunning, especially the white stone walls, courtyards, and towers. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and there are often traditional performances, workshops, and cultural events taking place. Located in the heart of the city, it’s easy to reach and surrounded by other attractions like the House of Artisans and Erth Restaurant. Overall, Qasr Al Hosn is a must-see destination for history lovers, tourists, and locals who want to connect with the UAE’s heritage. Great location with nearby cafés and attractions
Muna_war23 — Google review
While it’s an interesting place from a historical perspective (it was after all the home of the ruling family), there’s honestly not much to see on the inside. The way it’s curated is more conceptual and artistic rather than historic. Lots of propagandizing. If you’re not reading the mountains of text, you could easily see everything here within 20 minutes.
Saikhnaa — Google review
This should be a must visit first place in your list when you come to Abu Dhabi and appreciate history delivered in an engaging, interactive and informative way. Great for adults and kids. Skip the heritage village instead- waste of time (sorry :-/). Allocate enough time to visit the fort, the palace and the house of artisans. The palace is not air conditioned so it might be a bit challenging but it gives you a great sense of the past and how the people lived here, how Abu Dhabi evolved, etc. really loved it and wish had more time to explore every bit of it. The coffee preparation experience was a bit rushed and not overly pleasant - not like a Japanese tea ceremony hahaha. Some staff members might be giving conflicting information- but I guess it is just a matter of getting used to it in places like this where you have lots of international staff. Nevertheless everyone is very lovely and helpful. I would not invest much time in the cultural foundation. Once again - a must visit! Well prepared and delivered and beats many other attractions in the city.

Qasr Al Hosn is an amazing place to spend your evening. The ambiance is truly beautiful and calm — perfect for relaxation. The site showcases some of the UAE’s most important historical moments, and it even includes HH Sheikh Nahyan’s old palace, which adds a special charm. There are plenty of food stalls around, so you’ll always find something tasty to try. Sometimes they also host cultural shows and events, which make the experience even more vibrant. It’s honestly one of the best places in the UAE to explore art, heritage, and culture. Families will love it too — there’s a kids’ theatre and a lovely library inside. Highly recommended for both tourists and residents! 🌟

History Museums
Louvre Abu Dhabi is an innovative museum located in the United Arab Emirates capital, surrounded by water and featuring a diverse collection of ancient to modern art pieces. Visitors can enjoy kayaking and relax at the on-site cafe. The museum, designed by Jean Nouvel, opened at the end of 2017 and has since become a cultural hotspot in Abu Dhabi.
Very beautiful museum and one of the highlights of Abu Dhabi. Opened in November 2017, it is the first museum of its kind in the Arab world, created through a cultural partnership between France and the UAE. Its mission is to showcase the shared story of human creativity across civilizations, highlighting how cultures have always interacted, connected, and influenced one another. Designed by the renowned architect Jean Nouvel, the museum is famous for its spectacular silver dome, inspired by the traditional Arabian mashrabiyya. The dome weighs around 7,500 tons and Its intricate geometric pattern creates a stunning “rain of light” effect as sunlight filters through the lattice. The building appears to float on water, blending modern engineering with cultural symbolism. Louvre Abu Dhabi departs from the traditional separation of cultures. Instead, it presents world history through themes, displaying pieces from different civilizations side-by-side to highlight shared human experiences. Examples: - Ancient Egyptian statues next to early Greek artworks. - Chinese ceramics displayed with Middle Eastern pottery. - Religious manuscripts from Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism shown together. The museum features: - Permanent galleries with artworks spanning thousands of years, from prehistoric tools to modern masterpieces. - Rotating international exhibitions in collaboration with French museums, including the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Centre Pompidou, and others. - Over 600 permanent artworks, supplemented by hundreds of loans from French institutions. It was overall a very nice, entertaining and educational time spent here.

Absolutely splendid, the journey was beyond my expectations. We start with the tickets. Very affordable, you can get a discount simply by being a UAE resident. You still have the Fazaa discount as well. The museum itself is a piece of art, the architechture is mind-blowing, you could admire it for hours. I know that Louvre love to make wonderful architectures for their museums, with the one in Paris that i visited few yeras back, but this one in AUH is really eye-catching. The galleries were fascinating, from prehistoric stones, to the modern arts i really enjoyed it. To all art enthusiasts, i would really recommend to check it out, you will not forget that experience.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is an extraordinary place that combines art, culture, and architecture in an absolutely stunning way. The building itself, designed by Jean Nouvel, is truly impressive – its distinctive dome creates a magical interplay of light and shadow, reminiscent of a "rain of light." The museum's interior houses an impressive collection of art from around the world – from antiquity to the present – beautifully juxtaposed to showcase humanity's shared heritage. The service and organization are top-notch, and the atmosphere fosters reflection and wonder. This is not just a museum, but a true journey through the history of art and cultures. An absolute must-see in Abu Dhabi! 🏛️✨🎨

Louvre Abu Dhabi is truly a masterpiece of art, culture, and architecture. 🌟 Set on Saadiyat Island, it stands as a symbol of creativity and unity, bringing together masterpieces from around the world under one stunning dome of light. The museum’s breathtaking design by Jean Nouvel perfectly blends modern innovation with traditional Arabic inspiration, creating a serene atmosphere that feels both timeless and futuristic. Inside, every gallery tells a story — from ancient civilizations to contemporary art — celebrating the shared human experience through beauty and knowledge. Whether you’re an art lover or simply curious, Louvre Abu Dhabi offers an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and imagination.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience at the Louvre Abu Dhabi! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive — my mom wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t walk for long, and they immediately offered a wheelchair without us even asking. It made such a difference and allowed us to enjoy the museum comfortably and see all the beautiful collections. I also loved that the museum has its own app — you can listen for free to detailed stories and history about the main artifacts, and it’s available in multiple languages. Super informative and helpful! Definitely worth visiting again. Beautiful place, amazing service, and a very thoughtful experience overall! There is Fazaa card discount so you can get the tickets at the same time!
Tatti L — Google review
It is a beautiful museum and much larger that I thought. I was impressed that they managed to do thematic themes and chronological themes at the same time. Normally I only prefer an chronological exhibition. I also like that the museum has borrow objects from French museum and museums in the Golf and the Middle East to supplement their own collection. The museum consists of a beautiful roof and many buildings underneath the roof - so it does not feel so warm even when it is a 40⁹ day. There is a nice museum shop, a cafe, a restaurant and some places to have a coffee or a soda. And there is also a sea turtle sanctuary at the museum area. I spent two hours at the museum.

Great museum with lots of exhibitions. We enjoyed the displays while we enjoyed the cool air conditions on a somewhat hot day. The museum has the infrastructure to take pictures if that is something you would enjoy. We spent about two hours and was enough to walk all the displays.

A Sacred Invitation: The Blessed Sacrament at St. Joseph Cathedral, Abu Dhabi I am happy to share the news of a beautiful addition to St. Joseph Cathedral in Abu Dhabi: the recently established location for the Blessed Sacrament. Outside the chapel are the poignant words of our Lord Jesus Christ, uttered in the Garden of Gethsemane before His ultimate suffering and crucifixion: “Can you not sit with me for some time?” Here, at the feet of Jesus, we can leave the world's worries behind and drink at the well of eternal life. It is in this silence, this adoration, that our souls are restored. Amen

Went with kids to Studio COE to make our own clay mugs and plates. Was super satisfying experience, all kids loved it and couldn’t wait to come again to paint their art pieces. The instructors are wonderful and very skilled and thoughtful. This is a must do activity for kids and adults, for people who are looking for a creative way to break their routine and take a break. I wish if they can increase the time for the painting session to two hours to create better art pieces and have more time to make best use of this comforting experience, it’s like going to spa to pamper yourself in the weekend.

An art space that is free to visit its multiple exhibits and expansive space that may host art classes too. Seems to target at a more mid level art and younger artists range which is not a negative and actually a positive; it contributes to the diversity of arts and not only focuses on high art. Free car parking too!

A bit unusual—there’s a lot of open space with very little artwork on display. When there’s no exhibition event, the place is extremely quiet. While it’s free to visit, it may not be worth the trip unless a specific exhibition is taking place.

Kai Beach Saadiyat is a secluded 500m stretch of pristine white sand, offering shaded sun loungers and a laid-back restaurant with a bar. It's an ideal destination for families or groups with diverse interests. Visitors can relax on the beach, take part in water sports, and enjoy thrilling aquatic activities. The beach's bistro provides a refreshing escape from the sun, allowing guests to savor their favorite cocktails before returning to the beach for more fun.
Beautiful beach and ambience. We had the best 5 Star service from Magesh. He was very polite and helpful. Also made sure that the food we ordered won’t be taken away by the bird on the beach as we were swimming. Food was amazing. We ordered the paella and the charred tiger prawns. The beach was lovely and clean. Fine white sand. Clean toilets and lovely cabanas. Loved the wine although the fruit platter was served on a paper box and was not as sweet as I would imagine. Overall highly recommended for a beach trip just 20 mins away from downtown Abu Dhabi! 5 star! And will definitely come back!

Overall, the place is nice and has a relaxing beach vibe, especially during the summer 🌞🌊 But I think it could use a bit more development to make the experience even better: • They should offer a wider variety of juices and drinks, especially in the hot weather — something refreshing and fun would really add to the beach atmosphere 🍹🍍 • Also, the number of showers is limited. On the ladies-only day, it gets pretty crowded, and there aren’t enough showers for everyone 🚿 In general, I had a good time, and the place has a lot of potential. With a few improvements, it could be even more enjoyable ✨ Looking forward to seeing it grow!

The beach access isn’t free, you should pay there. In case you arrive early ( like we did), there’s early bird option with the half of price. We paid 17 euro For this cost you have access to the beach, sun bed and a bottle of water only. No towels!!! Full disappointment (( For the place depicted in the picture attached, you need to pay extra. The cafe is available with some salads and pizza, etc. 4 stars is for the beach, which I’m not sure whose merit It is clean the the white sand

I always wanted to visit Kai Beach Saadiyat and had really high expectations - but unfortunately, the reality didn’t live up to them. From the entrance, everything looked absolutely beautiful and aesthetic - the ambiance gives that perfect “island getaway” vibe at first. However, once you actually get to the beach area, the experience quickly changes. It was extremely crowded, and there were crows everywhere, which made it hard to relax. Despite the AED 150 entry fee, they don’t even provide towels, which is quite disappointing. The cabanas in front are chargeable, while the ones in the back without any roof are free - which doesn’t make much sense. We ordered food, and it took 40 minutes (and a follow-up call) for a simple poke bowl to arrive a honestly, it would have been faster to order through Talabat. The staff seemed careless and not attentive at all, often passing tasks to one another instead of helping. Even the security guards didn’t seem very alert, spending more time on their phones than actually supervising the area. The only real highlight of the visit was the water itself - crystal clear and beautiful - but that’s thanks to Saadiyat Island, not the beach club.
Ihar B — Google review
Was there on my birthday. Nice beach for ladies only but expensive entry ticket at 150 Aed not inclusive of any food and drinks. Could swim on that day so I feel like I paid for nothing 😅 btw it’s still a good spot in Abu to unwind. Let’s try it yourself and see.

Perfect beach. Clear water, blue colour and sun beds are really nice. There is a price to enter but some of it is received as voucher to be used there. I recommend the mojitos.
Marina M — Google review
Kai Beach is hands down our favorite beach—not just in Abu Dhabi, but in the whole UAE! We love coming early in the morning when it’s peaceful and there are fewer people. The atmosphere is so relaxing, and the sea water is incredibly clear and beautiful. The beach is always very clean, and it’s perfect for long, quiet walks along the shore. They’ve thought of everything—showers on the beach and in the changing rooms, areas to change clothes, and a menu with a great variety of international dishes. Just a little tip: bring your own towels as they don’t provide them. One thing we’d absolutely love is if breakfast was available from 8 AM for early visitors like us, as the kitchen currently opens at 10 AM. Other than that, Kai Beach is the perfect escape to unwind and recharge away from the busy city vibes. Highly recommend! 🌴✨

Very beautiful place, we paid 125 AED each on a Friday, we had included a big bed with sun umbrella and a voucher of 50 AED each that you can use for drinks and food there. It was a good deal for us. We really enjoyed the food. The beach is wonderful, with clear water, lots of small cute fish, and plenty of space to walk or run by the beach.

Wow, what an amazing experience! I visited ADNEC for the Abu Dhabi Summer Sports and played football - it was incredible! The venue is massive with plenty of parking space, which was a huge plus. There are many food outlets inside, making it convenient for attendees. The facilities are top-notch and well-maintained. From conferences to exhibitions, this place can handle it all.

ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi is truly a world-class venue for exhibitions, conferences, and major events. The space is huge, beautifully designed, and extremely well-organised. Everything from parking to hall layouts to signage is easy to navigate, even on peak event days. The atmosphere always feels professional, safe, and welcoming. The staff are helpful, the facilities are spotless, and the overall experience feels high-standard and smooth. Large conference center - very nice facilities but for an international conference that depends on wifi to run, i.e., see the program etc., it was a bit of a disaster when most days the wifi didn't work

Big venue to host great events but although it has many parkings but still access could take along time due to shear number of visitors such as the annual ADIPEC event.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a stunning architectural marvel located in Abu Dhabi. It boasts 82 white domes of various sizes, making it one of the largest mosques globally. The mosque, constructed between 1996 and 2007, is made of white marble and features four minarets that stand over 100 meters tall.
Step into a world of awe at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, where pristine white marble, colossal columns, and shimmering chandeliers evoke pure tranquility. Begin at the underground mall, which offers both shopping and a quiet moment before your visit. For a unique approach, follow the pedestrian tunnel under the main road to the mosque entrance (a surprisingly modern intro to such a classical monument!). Once inside, marvel at the intricate floral mosaics and gold-tipped domes; even on a sunny day, the cool interiors and soft natural light are serene. Did you know the main prayer hall hosts one of the world’s largest hand-knotted carpets? Also, its chandelier—crafted in Germany—features Swarovski crystals; both are exquisite yet little known outside guidebooks! Must-do: Wander through the reflective pools at the mosque’s perimeter—catch the sunlight glimmering across the arches for an insta-worthy shot with nature and architecture in perfect harmony. Indoors, the “forest” of columns laced with amethyst and jasper makes for an iconic photo, while the main hall offers endless patterns for architectural close-ups. Tips: Dress respectfully—borrowed abayas and kanduras are available on site. Visit early to avoid crowds, especially before the afternoon prayer on Fridays when access may be limited. Watch for sudden weather: The transition between sunny and rainy can be striking against the mosque’s bright silhouette.

I got an opportunity to participate in a jamahth.Truly one of the most beautiful landmarks in the UAE and a must-visit for anyone traveling to Abu Dhabi!

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is an absolutely stunning place in every respect—architecturally, culturally, and spiritually. Its immense domes, white marble, intricately decorated columns, and gigantic carpets create a unique sense of majesty and harmony. Every detail, from the hand-crafted mosaics to the dazzling chandeliers, reveals extraordinary craftsmanship. The mosque is open to visitors and allows for a beautiful, inspiring insight into Emirati culture and tradition. The evening illumination lends the structure a magical character, making a visit an unforgettable experience. This is a place that will remain in your memory forever and is a must-see during your stay in Abu Dhabi. 🕌✨🌙

Every visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque feels extraordinary. No matter how many times I’ve been, walking through the grounds still feels almost unreal, the stillness, the scale, the craftsmanship and detail in every direction. It’s one of those places that completely slows you down and leaves you in awe. A tip for first-timers: it’s absolutely worth paying for the proper Abaya attire from the mall before entering. It makes the experience smoother and more comfortable. And definitely bring a selfie stand/tripod, it’s incredibly useful if you’re solo, as a couple, or with family, especially given how many stunning angles there are throughout the mosque. Finally, most importantly, please register on the website beforehand. Truly a must-visit in the UAE, and a place that’s unforgettable every single time.

The mosque is well-organized with a very helpful visitor center, guided tours, and respectful staff who explain the cultural and religious importance. Whether you’re visiting for prayer or as a tourist, the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and welcoming. A must-see landmark that reflects the beauty, culture, and hospitality of the UAE. • Stunning design and architecture • Organized entry and facilities • Free guided tours • Beautiful at sunset & night • Suitable for all visitors (Muslims & non-Muslims)

This is an absolutely visually stunning mosque on the grandest scale, accessing the mosque is a hike in itself. It's a fair old walk from the parking lot, through part of a shopping mall, then an underground corridor with moving walkways and escalators. We were very fortunate to visit late afternoon and see the mosque change as the sunset. The amount of white marble used here and the ornate detail is mind-blowing! The atmosphere inside is calming and peaceful, the prayer room carpet is apparently made in one piece! I was told 41,000 people can pray at any one time! Allow a couple of hours for your visit, I hope you can be as lucky as we were regarding the timing of your visit!

You have to book tickets beforehand itself in their official website.so that you can enter easily.. even if you dint book no prob they do allow those haven't done pre-booking also. Tickets are free of cost(No charges) 2 shows are there light museum /diya for which you have to pay 25aed each ... If you want to experience both it's 40Aed in total. After getting into parking.. you have to walk through a mall for about 20 mins around 1.2km . You will have guides all over the places . Good place for taking pics and peaceful. Total time you spend soli 1.5hrs if you go alone.. if you go as group around 2.5 hrs minimum you spend easily. Just fully covered dress for male will be better. Katrina C — Google review
I visited Dalmat Mall. While working on the first floor, heading towards Carrefour, I passed by a shop named Emirates Pride. As I was walking, a staff member from this shop blocked my way and placed his hand on my chest, trying to sell smoking incense. I diverted my path, but he continued to block me and push me to listen to his sales pitch. On the third occasion, I ignored him and changed my path again. He did not follow me this time, but I felt humiliated as my family and the crowd watched from a distance. This behavior is unacceptable for a customer visiting a reputed mall for personal business and shopping. I complained to a mobile security officer, who then transferred me to another security team to explain the situation. However, I don't have any evidence or follow-up on the investigation or corrective actions taken. Touching someone twice to sell a product is entirely unacceptable. The mall should adequately explain the control measures taken and address my humiliation in front of the crowd. Additionally, I observed that many shops in the passage sell fragrances, which can be quite disturbing for people passing through. I strongly suggest that vendors respect customers and stay within their stalls instead of blocking the passage. I request the mall to provide an explanation to this email and provide details of the corrective actions taken.

Mazyad Mall, Abu Dhabi — A Community Mall with Convenience & Value Located on 28th Street near Mussafah in Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Mazyad Mall offers a very workable balance between shopping, dining, and essential everyday services. It’s not a luxury mega-mall, but for families, residents, and shoppers looking for practicality, it hits many of the right notes. Shopping & Retail Mazyad Mall houses a solid mix of stores: global brands like Adidas, Giordano, and Max alongside jewellery outlets such as Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Damas. For groceries and household staples, Lulu Hypermarket / Lulu Express is a major draw — everything from fresh produce to bulk essentials is available under one roof. Dining & Food Court The food court has a variety of fast-food and casual dining options: McDonald’s, Subway, some local and international offerings. For those wanting something more than a quick bite, there are cafés and restaurants offering better atmospheres. Facilities & Ambience One of the strongest features is its convenience. Parking is ample, with both shaded and basement parking making the visit less stressful, even during busier times. The layout is clean, spaces are accessible, and it feels family-friendly, with children’s play areas, clinics, salons and other lifestyle services inside.

Very nice place for natural evening walk and watch some birds. View of flamingos are awesome. Walkway about 3km and closing around 5.00pm. Thanks to Mr.Salem who welcomes the visitors.

If you are looking for a relaxing nature walk with a bit of bird watching, this place will surely be for you. We tried the flamingo trail which is approximately more than 3 kms. We completed the trail in about 1 hour and 30mins but for others they might be able finish it in 45mins. Resting is more important to us, we’re not running on a marathon anyways. Al Wathba Wetland Reserve is open from 8am to 4pm daily except monday. They are only open during winter season and close during summer.

Really wonderful place to visit. There are two roads, one of the long 3 km (my opinion more interesting than the short one), you can see flamingo and the other birds there. There are several wood houses, don't be afraid to enter and open the small window in the house that gives you a pretty cool view. Also, during the walk, you can find different types of plants, flowers, trees. On the other road (which is short 1.5km) you can find lizards, but unfortunately, I didn't see anyone. That is also a cool place to have a rest from the busy city, lovely quiet. Don't forget to wear a hat and take water with you. I asked personnel about timing. It's open from 8 am till 6 pm, last entry at 4 pm. At the end of March, it will be closed for the summer season and will be open in November. Hurry up! Thank you for reading and have a lovely day!

I really liked it here, we were given some good information, and a ride in the car around the wetlands where we got to have a quick tour and sight of the flamingoes and ducks. There is room for improvement, maybe by adding more signs with information in the small center, but I truly loved it and will be visiting again.
