Our driver made the dune drifting part a blast — we couldn’t stop smiling! If you're planning to stay overnight (and you should!), book a tent inside the protected area. Watching the sunset fade into a night full of stars is a surreal experience. Don’t miss the stargazing tour — the desert sky here is unbelievably clear. Dinner is another highlight — a traditional meal slow-cooked underground in the sand for over three hours. The flavor and the experience both are unforgettable. Wadi Rum is where the Earth pretends to be Mars. It does a pretty convincing job: giant red cliffs, red sand, and silence so thick it hums .. its really, really quiet. Most people stay in one of the many bubble or dome camps, which look like space pods which are scattered all over the desert. These are great, but to really get a feel of the place you’ve got to explore. I hiked up to Burdah Rock Bridge (a 1.5 hour scramble worth every sweaty step) or wander the canyons. If you're staying overnight, one or two nights is perfect: long enough to feel lost in another world, short enough not to get bored.

If you are travelling to Jordan don't miss this place. An overnight stay is a must to have a feel of the place. There are numerous Camps to suit everyone's budget. Took a jeep tour to visit the Protected Area and watch sunset. The organizers/ drivers are very nice and ensure that tourists get best experience. The highlight of the place is that it's a desert surrounded by mountains. Loved the experience and highly recommend a visit to this protected area.

This place can't be more magical! No one visiting Jordan should skip this. The atmosphere, the weather, the view, and everything. It is just magical! We had a couple of hours ride tour. I found it a bit short honestly, but still enough to make sure I am coming again to visit at some point in my life. Highly recommend!!

Truly this is an amazing environment with stunning scenery and, if you take the chance, a peaceful place worth much more than a quick overnight stopover. Free entry with a Jordan pass. 4 wheel drive excursions a must to see the best of it. Oh and if there's no moon, do a star gazing trip to see the Milky Way and shooting stars 🌌☄️🌑 The only reason I haven't given it 5* is because of the rubbish which is being blown into the park from the nearby settlements and camps. It's crying out for a clean up 🥹

Visit in the winters. It's not air conditioned and you will feel the real heat. Don't forget to watch the videos which will tell you more details on this area. There is a shuttle in the evening to the nearby heritage site. So plan accordingly. Try to visit the nearby forts by taking the coastal road to ruwais.

Secluded Fort, can be reached by a regular sedan car. Well renovated and well preserved. No need to buy tickets upfront, if you are a resident you can access for free which is great. Plenty of information is provided on the premises regarding thr history of the fort. It is not that old in history but packs a rich background. You need to visit this at least once.

It's a very amazing historical and archeological site in Qatar, getting there exceeded my expectations and thoughts since I only thought it was a fort that just had a small history but it is rich in history. It's a worthy place to visit and learn a lot about Qatar.

Made our way here from Doha, very easy to find and excellent information by Qatar Museum team on pearl diving and the history of Al Zubarah. We visited in August. So hot. No one was around. Would definitely go back in the off season.

The Tree of Life in Bahrain is a 400-year-old mesquite tree standing alone in the Sakhir desert, about 40 km from Manama. Surrounded by legends—some link it to the Garden of Eden—it remains one of Bahrain’s most famous landmarks and a must-visit cultural treasure. Tree of Life is a lone Prosopis cineraria ( tree in the middle of the desert which is 400‒440 years old, believed to have been planted around 1582-1583 It stands on a sandy hill in the Southern Governorate, in the desert (Sakhir area). It’s remarkable because it survives in the desert without any visible source of water. There is no nearby river, stream, or irrigation, and rainfall is minimal. 1. Very deep roots (possibly reaching groundwater) 2. Adaptation to arid desert climate, such as small leaves, ability to use moisture from soil or air. There are myths and legends, too — some say Enki (a Sumerian/Babylonian god) protects it; others suggest it might mark the site of something ancient like the Garden of Eden. Best seen after dusk or near sunset for dramatic lighting. The drive off the main highway (Musakar Highway) can go through soft sand, so it’s safer to have a decent vehicle and be careful. Bring water and maybe some snacks; amenities are limited.

I went mid-day during the week. There were not any other visitors during that time. The area around the tree is much cleaner than it was 10 years ago the last time i visited. Nearby there are ruins and within a short drive there are other landmarks and destinations. There was a security person there who was knowledgeable about the tree's history and friendly also. A must see when visiting Bahrain. There are public restrooms near the tree if the need arises. Be careful on the drive there through the oil field roads. There are a lot of speed bumps that you would not expect on a road with such high speed limits. Some of the speed bumps are not marked or painted as well. This could be very dangerous at night.

A visit hete is a good way to see ehat the landscape outside the built up areas looks like - you will go through desert and pass many oil wells on the way there. The tree is inside a large circle of protected land, but not in the centre of it, so you can walk all the way round getting different perspectives.

One of the must visit tourist spot when you visit Bahrain! This Amazing tree is said to be over 400 years! I’m astonished that despite the harsh weather and deserted area, the tree still flourish and continue to grow strong and sturdy! It withstand against time amazingly! The area around the tourist spot has really improved a lot! There are many tents for camping and food bazaars around! I remember when we can touch the tree personally. But now, there are fences around it to protect the tree. It’s good to know that the government is protecting the tree to maintain its natural health thus preserving the great history within it. When I went there, it find it just sad that the people were really loud and the ATV bike riders are making the air dusty! Making also the place not as solemn as it should be. But I had a great time to revisit this place after 2 decades! Would definitely comeback and hope the tree is till alive and flourishing!

Beautiful grand mosque, for up to 7,000 people. The entrance is free and they provide you appropriate Arabic clothes if you are not dressed according to their standards. There is a quick free tour as well. Definitely worth a visit while in Bahrain.

An absolute must when visiting Bahrain. Dress appropriately. We were given robes & scarves & enjoyed a free private tour by a volunteer. He was so informative & the interior is stunning. We were able to discreetly watch the call to midday prayers & the followers.

A very large mosque. During prayer times, there are many worshippers. The car park next to the mosque is very large, but on Friday it was completely full of cars. As you can see, worshippers hold this place in very high regard. If you want to see what it looks like inside, you will have to choose another day.

An impressing mosque and great place to go. I had an official guide employed by the bahraini government who explained a lot of details. Although I have been to other mosques I got to know more about the religion and culture. Make sure that you are there with an official guide.

When we visited the Mosque, we were able to join a small English speaking group for a short tour. The guide gave a brief introduction to Islam as well as pointing out the salient features of the inside of the building. We were able to witness the call to prayer being delivered during our visit. Appropriate clothing is provided if one is inappropriately dressed.

This place is well connected with several old food eateries however Parking inside is only a remote possibility. Always check for opposite ground for paid parking but do not park under a tree shed as notorious pigeons target only your car (I feel).

One of the must visit historical spots in Bahrain if you are a tourist. Public holidays and weekends can get quite busy.

As I'm much more into food markets, I didn't buy anything at this place. It specializes more into gold, hanging glass lamps, souvenirs and material things. I still liked the decorations hanging from the ceiling and the artistic shops worth of some pictures. The street is not that long and if you don't make stops, you will walk through it in few minutes.

Had an amazing time. Definitely one of the best attractions in Bahrain. The rides were thrilling the atmosphere was energetic, and everything was well managed. You can easily spend a full day here with family or friends. The DJ & the music kept the vibes alive throughout the day. However, the only downside was the food. We tried the pizza and broast, and unfortunately, both were below expectations. The pizza especially was quite disappointing. Food quality needs serious improvement; surprising that no one was raising concerns about it. Overall, still a must visit place at least once. Just hope they improve the food experience to match the rest of the park.

Lost Paradise is always the best place during summer!! They have fun and amazing water rides and perfect to enjoy an adventurous day with family. Me and my family had the best time as always. We also had great food that was delicious and juicy. They even have a cute kids meal that my little brother enjoyed!!

It was extremely hot here, but there are some places where you can refresh yourself. If you want to cool down yourself, they have this sprinkling water or you can just stay at the entry area where they scan the ticket code. It was air conditioned although it was on an open area. And they also have open water refilling station. Just bring your own water bottle. Do not bring any plastic bottle because they won't allow it inside. And on this picture, we were sitting at Block J.

the WEC weekend was filled with fun, emotions, and adrenaline. the access you get here in WEC bahrain is just top notch. The fanzone was well planned and organized. the stunt shows were epic the simulators were as close you could get to driving a lmgt3.One flaw is that the main granstand seats were a little dusty but acceptable. Paddock access made it the best weekends i have ever had.

Al Areen Wildlife Park (متنزه ومحمية العرين) I recently visited Al Areen Wildlife Park, and overall, it was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in wildlife and nature. The park is home to a variety of animals and offers a unique opportunity to see them in a semi-natural environment. The layout of the park is well thought out, allowing visitors to explore different sections while enjoying the beautiful landscapes. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement to enhance the overall experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the chance to see some incredible animals, including the Arabian oryx and various bird species. The park does a commendable job of showcasing these animals and providing educational information about their habitats and conservation status. However, I believe that adding more animal species would significantly enrich the experience for visitors. Expanding the variety of animals would not only attract more visitors but also provide a more comprehensive understanding of wildlife conservation efforts in the region. While the park is generally well-maintained, I did notice that some areas could benefit from more regular cleaning and upkeep. A few enclosures appeared to be less tidy than expected, which detracted from the overall experience. Ensuring that the park is clean and well-maintained is crucial for both the animals' well-being and the visitors' enjoyment. A little more attention to maintenance would go a long way in enhancing the park's appeal. The pathways throughout the park are pleasant to walk on, but I found that some areas could use better signage and information displays. In conclusion, my experience at Al Areen Wildlife Park was enjoyable, and I would rate it four stars. However, I believe that with some improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and the addition of more animal species, the park could elevate its status as a premier wildlife destination in Bahrain. It's not a great place to visit but it's okay as there is no zoo in Bahrain. You might need to use the golf car as it's such a big land area and you will not be able to walk to explore all. Do the name says wildlife it's disappointing as there are no wild animals. There are many types of deer's, ostrich, wild fox, Goats only.. No lions, bears, tigers, giraffes and many more. Okay for a change to visit

I visited the wildlife park during the week, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The variety of animals was limited—there were no lions, tigers, or giraffes. A fine zoo and park in Bahrain very close to the Bahrain F1 Circuit. The place has a zoo, a bird park, a Japanese Botanical Garden, and a Plants area. The place has walking paths and picnic areas. In some areas, birds walk freely. Most of the animals they have are local or regional animals. The place is quite vast, yet some areas can get some better attention in terms of hygiene. Tickets can be bought by card only. There is ample parking on-site, and there are restrooms at the entrance building. There is also a mosque and a cafeteria. Getting to this place is quite a distance as it is in the south of the island. Expect to spend 1 hour onwards.

Situated at a calm beach it is a well maintained fort. It offers nice spots to click amazing snaps and has nice walking paths. It looks beautiful after sunset when it is illuminated. Next to it is the museum which has some ancient articles to see and appreciate. Strongly suggested for a visit

I visited the Bahrain Fort in the summertime, and wow it was hot! But it was absolutely worth it. The sunset over the ruins was gorgeous, casting this golden light over the old stone walls. You can really feel the history here; it’s incredible to think how old this place is and how well it’s been preserved. What made it even more special was seeing a few men outside the fort schooling their Arabian horses. It was such a beautiful and peaceful sight, especially with the desert backdrop and the city skyline in the distance. If you visit Bahrain, definitely come around sunset it’s a moment you won’t forget. #ruins

It's a very grand mall. Has many sections and outlets. Major attractions are carrefour, jareer, empire cinema, etc. It's under construction but still most stores are operational.

Just visited Mall of Dhahran, and it’s definitely one of the top shopping spots in Saudi Arabia. The mall has a great mix of both international and local brands, a wide variety of food options in the food court, and fun entertainment like a cinema and a kids’ play area. The place is very clean, spacious, and calm, making it ideal for a day out with family, friends, or even if you’re alone. Just a heads-up—it’s a huge mall! Be ready to walk a lot. Feels like a fun workout while shopping. 😄 Overall, a great place to shop, eat, and relax all in one.

Dhahran Mall is one of the best malls in the Eastern Province, Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It has more than 100 famous brand shops and outlets, including clothing, footwear, perfumes, jewelry, coffee shops, fancy stores, a theatre, a kids’ game zone, a food court, ice skating, and more. Visitors can easily spend 2 to 3 hours enjoying the shopping experience. It is highly recommended for all kinds of people who love shopping.

Lovely shopping mall. The area close to panda smells and is annoying. It affects my decision to even shop close to it. Significant part of the mall was burnt maybe three years ago, still not rebuilt. The mall is spacious and beautiful with lots of shopping options.

At its peak -around 10 years ago-, Mall of Dhahran was one of the trendiest malls in the area & the go-to place for all things entertainment; arcades, shopping, food and merely just walking around. Lately and especially after the recent fire -around 2 years ago- it is just not the same. The mall is now half closed, the establishment never recovered and the quality of the stores & building is just not the same. It is still a good place to visit and walk around or do some light shopping. However, if you are planning to do some serious shopping or if you are a tourist, I think you should opt to visit Alnakheel Mall in Dammam. It is much newer, cleaner and with many more name brand stores and local options. Also, the Mall ventilation is not the best. It is always hot inside stores and is only breezy in the walkway between the actual stores. Plenty of parkings & relatively good crowd.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it has a private beach. Food choices for breakfast is limited. Called the staff to clean our room but nobody came and when we insisted on having our room tidied up, the hotel staffs declined and said that they have other rooms to clean first (no guests). Dirty pool especially the kiddie pool. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Only come here if you’re on a tight budget and wanted to have a private beach.

The place is very good and the beach is also inviting you to swim. A good plce to hold a big event for company gatherings or recollections. A lot of fun activity and sports you can do here because of theur wide amenities. The only thing i do not like or disappointed is their toilet/ washroom. They should change/replace or renovate their public toilet mostly the toilet bowl and sink. It is very important to attract more guests and custumers.

I went on a Eid vacation, and the hotel was mediocre at best. Pros: Room size is good Location is perfect Cons: Awful food Terrible service NO cleanness Hotel has signs of age Shower takes time to be hot There was no cleanness in the hotel. There were no toothbrushes, tissues, or toothpaste and the towels were old and dirty. The "room cleaning" button on the hotel telephone does not work .The cleaner only came ONE time in my 4 day vacation, and if you try to get him to come clean your room he takes a long time to come. The food was awful for both breakfast and lunch. There was not a lot of food, and the food feels old and cold. In addition, the hotel is pretty greedy, so if you want to get a bottle of water or get a bottle of Pepsi, you'll need to pay up. The water is overpriced and small (costs 4 riyals!). The service is very bad. The hotel tries to minimize the amount of workers to reduce the prices of rooms, and that has diminishing returns. In the swimming pool area, there are no table cleaners and overall service is very bad. The hotel has signs of age, and that becomes evident when you go to the underground pool bathroom, as the roof is literally peeling off. These signs of age are all over the hotel, including in the bottom of doors, and in the rooms. Lastly, the shower takes a long time to get hot even if you set the water temperature at the highest. For the price, I expected more. The location is excellent, but the poor cleanliness, bad food, and lack of service make this hotel hard to recommend.

It was a terrible experience. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this. I would highly recommend not to stay in this hotel. Here’s why : The rooms were small and dingy. They were not cleaned properly as we saw trash in the room. The toilet was disgusting and unclean. They did not clean the room properly. There was not much to do. Extremely Boring. Quite safe. There was not much you could walk around. It was plain and nothing to eat. Especially breakfast the food was dead and completely disgusting. The room service was really bad. We asked them for a mattress they couldn’t give, they only gave a blanket with bugs in it. Whenever we ask they always bring at least 2 hours after. For people who’ve statues and Enjoyed before, rethink. This resort used to be holiday inn. Holiday in was superb. That’s why we came. They’ve changed their ways as there is a new owner. Mena hotel was previously holiday inn. But their ways have changed badly. They also scammed, lied, and cheated us. They promised us 3 beds that we never got. They charged us for 3 bedrooms but only gave us 2 bedrooms. They promised us mattresses but we never got that as well. They got us 3 useless blankets that we could not use without mattresses. Even one of them had bugs. A little message to the manager of Mena Resort : I you are reading this, we had a horrible stay. You offered us 3 beds and charged us for 3 beds but you only gave us 2. You promised us 3 mattresses but you only gave us 3 blankets with one having bugs. I’m sorry to say but we have not enjoyed this and certainly won’t come back. We feel we did not have a stay up to our expectations and if you made a mistake it would be shameful not to make compensate. You guys made a mistake and instead of trying to compensate you guys made it worse. Overall, staying in this hotel is not a good idea.

Very good place only down side is that the buffet is extra and you have to buy breakfast / lunch / dinner separately but the pool was ok it was not heated tho but it was medium sized and beach was ok the sand is not that good but you get a beutiful sunset

It is the worst resort ever - I don’t recommend anyone to stay here rooms are too old - not clean full of insects the moment you open the balcony door - villa beside are not renovated and full of damage furniture on in the front where it is supposed to sit and enjoy the sea view- they describe the unit as a villa of two bedrooms and in fact it is a studio type unit - too small and smelling bad

I recently visited Marjan Island in Dammam during the evening, and unfortunately, the current condition of the spot is quite disappointing. The area seemed neglected, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness—trash was scattered around, and the usual vibrant atmosphere was missing. Unlike before, there wasn’t much foot traffic, giving the place a deserted feel. It seemed like the island might be partially closed or undergoing some sort of renovation, although no official signs confirmed this. Facilities that were once a highlight, like the monument tower and rest areas, appeared poorly maintained. If anyone is planning to visit Marjan Island soon, I’d suggest reconsidering or at least going during the day and being prepared for limited amenities. It’s best to bring your own food, water, and essentials, as the on-site options are minimal. While the location still offers a nice sea breeze and scenic views, the current state doesn’t reflect the vibrant destination it once was.

This island has always been a special place for us, where our kids enjoyed countless visits, and we once celebrated Pakistan Day with our close family, making it an unforgettable memory. While the island still holds its natural charm, we noticed that some planning and development work is underway, promising to bring more attractions for visitors in the future. As of now, the island remains a simple yet lively picnic spot, where most visitors were enjoying their time by the roadside, fishing, or relaxing with family. The main food options were from food stalls, which added to the casual, outdoor experience. One striking sight was the long stretch of cars parked beside the sea, showing how popular this place remains among locals and visitors alike. It was refreshing to see people gathering, enjoying the cool breeze, and making the most of the island’s peaceful atmosphere. We look forward to seeing how the planned developments will enhance the experience while keeping the island’s serene and nostalgic essence intact.

A non crowded peaceful place for tourists with 360View of sea, clean and green park with huts, and boating. No restaurants only juice, tea stalls. It is better to bring your own food and snacks. For boating 20 min ride is available. A floating cafeteria is available free of charge if you purchased boat ride. Otherwise you can go to cafeteria by paying minimal charges.

Also called Judas Cave. It is worth a visit. There will be an offer for a tourguide-45minutes tour (need to pay a hundred tho), and they will let you borrow a flashlight each person. There will be fee for Entrance (fifty SAR)+ vat(7.5sar) per person (I wasn’t able to ask if there’s any difference of payment for kids). You are free to take photos.. there will be photographers around if you want better photos or printed copies. They also have Souvenir shops… If you are worried about food and drinks, there are cafes and restaurants you can go. Parking is not a problem, they got a big place for that. So far, it is far😂 but worth it.. a place away from work and worries.. a little break you deserve.. 🥰

Remarkable place. Amazing formations and caves that are easy to explore. Seems to have its own climate too. Exceptionally cool in this midst of a blistering Al Ahsa summer. Eager to experience it in the winter.

Today, this place is a popular tourist attraction, with pathways and a cultural center that showcase its geology and history. Al Qarah remains a symbol of Al-Ahsa’s heritage, blending natural beauty with timeless traditions.

Visiting this souq was such a memorable experience! The place is full of life, colors, and beautiful scents coming from the endless stalls of spices, herbs, and traditional goods. I especially loved the wide variety of dates each type more delicious than the next. Walking through the souq felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by local culture and warm, welcoming vendors. It’s the perfect spot to experience authentic traditions and pick up unique gifts to take home. A must-visit for anyone who loves culture, food, and history!

An old bazaar in the centre of Hafouf. You can buy traditional clothes, shoes, spices, etc. There are traditional cafes that still serve traditional dishes. A nice walk through the narrow isles of the souq.

A real taste of Arabian culture. Beautiful place, fully renovated and well cared. It's a world heritage site, really worth seeing and walking, especially in the winter season.

Really neat place to visit. If the weather is right, this place is fun to walk around and shop for local spices and bakhur (a special fragrance like agar, you light up on a charcoal and the smoke comes with nice fragrance). We also bought a lot of different kinds of spices.

AL-Qaisariya Souq is the center of the attraction best shopping area for tradicional/ antiques such as traditional thob, dress, personal accessories, home deco, and small restaurants, cafés.

It is a very expensive Market if you are planning to buy some gold then it is not a good place they charge you more than 360SAR for 1gm of gold of 21k but the price of the gold would be around 271 SAR for 21k gold. I would rather suggest going to gold outlets such as Malabar where you could get one price across the kingdom and they usually give discounts on making charges too, so if you are a first time gold buyer then buy from such outlets. The souq is most probably the place for chilling out rather than shopping. PRO TIP:- if you are looking to buy some abayas then buy from the shop on the side of the road rather than the backyard shops as the price they offer in the front row shops are usually fixed and are kept according to the quality of the material.

Not as beautiful or attractive as I expected, but the waters are so clear, it feels very exciting. But for those who are not used to mountain trekking, it will be very difficult to go here, a lot of good time was spent with dear people.

Perfect family spot – animals, fun walk & free entry! Very good place for kids to see a wide variety of animals – from birds and monkeys to African cheetahs and lions. 🦜🐒🦁 The walk takes about 1.5 hours to cover fully, and it’s enjoyable for the whole family. Best part – when I visited in August, the entrance was free! Definitely worth a visit.

A very good place for family visits. 5 pm is closing the entry gates and 6pm letting everyone go out from the zoo. Around 5:30 pm opening the gates of the homes for animals. Proper time to visit is before 3pm.

The Zoo is well-maintained. Clealiness is 💯, no unwanted smell. We are only half way we can't finish because the heat is too much, definitely recommend on winter for better enjoyment 🙂

This is the museum to come to if you want to find out how the third and current Saudi State was founded. While I already read a bit on the history of the Kingdom before flying here, I must say, it is something else to see the actual place where the state was founded well over a century ago. The video inside details the night raid of Ibn Saud as well, which was an excellent addition to the exhibition. Certainly a must visit in Riyadh, a free one no less!

UPDATE after my phone call to AlMasmak issue. My hotel concierge was able to contact them and confirm theywere open. So I went. What a fantastic small museum. An elegant, educational and historically rich museum that tell the story of the reuification of the Kingdom through the conquer by King Abdulaziz.of the Masmak fortress. Even the video of the capture beautifully disaplayed the heroism of hi 40 men in a night commando raid. Must do. By the way the entrance is free.

This site tells the story of the birth of modern Saudi Arabia. See the story in the picture in this post. It is a free museum, it takes about one and one half hours to learn the history, free guided tour also available. The surrounding area is great for local stuff shopping.

I got the chance to visit The National Museum of Saudi Arabia, and I have to say, it surprised me. It’s a great place to visit with your family or as a tourist destination. The museum goes through an insightful and in-depth coverage of The Kingdom’s history, Islamic history, and geographical history. There are lots of artifacts and fossils, accompanied by their respective descriptions. There is an outdoor garden which is a beautiful place to have a walk or take in the scenery. I do recommend taking the green line metro to the museum to add to the experience, as the station itself is quite beautiful, as is the walk to the museum. However take care to go during pleasant weather, as the summer heat can be quite unbearable. My only issue with the place was the lack of places to buy water, although, it can be understandable as food and drink are not allowed past the lobby and into the museum. Overall, I recommend visiting the national museum!

A huge museum complex in the middle of a small pleasant garden. The personal is very friendly and helpful. Main entrance is free, but temporary exhibitions might need a prepaid ticket. The permanent collection is very interesting to visit. Very few exceptional pieces but they are worth the visit alone. Explanations are good, focused on a younger or not so experienced audience. The freshly brewed coffee in the main entrance hall is well worth trying.

One of the best National Museums I visited. The narrative you find here is not one full of pride, but humility. It is a well written history of the region and its people in a very candid manner. There is also a short but sweet part on natural history, though I was here for the Saudi history first and foremost. The exhibition does end more or less when the third and current Saudi state is founded as far as I could understand. There seems to be some free offerings in the atrium and the entry is free for all. Better yet, the museum’s backyard is a gorgeous park that you should spend some time in to relax and ponder about what you learnt in the museum. This park hides an entrance to another exhibition, this time focusing on the founder of the Kingdom, Ibn Saud, which is a must visit in my humble opinion as well. This whole are is just an excellent experience overall really.

Very worthwhile to visit. Learned a bunch about the culture and history. Entrance was free and self guided. Just follow the yellow line through the various rooms. It’s much larger than it looks. Lots of rooms and exhibits. After we finished at the museum we strolled through the park and outside areas. Lots of fun and educational too!

The exhibitions are organized in a way that takes you through Saudi Arabia’s history step by step — from ancient times to the modern era. I really enjoyed the interactive displays and videos that helped bring the stories to life. Everything was clearly explained in both Arabic and English, which made it easy to follow and understand. The staff were polite and helpful, and the whole environment felt calm and welcoming. What I liked most was how the museum connects history with culture — it made me appreciate how much the Kingdom has developed while still preserving its traditions. Overall, my visit was educational and inspiring. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Riyadh.

Visiting the National Museum of Saudi Arabia was honestly one of the best cultural experiences I’ve had in the city. The museum is beautifully designed, both inside and out. The architecture alone is worth seeing, it’s modern but still reflects traditional Saudi elements, and the atmosphere feels calm and welcoming from the moment you step in. What I loved most was how well the exhibits are organized. Each hall takes you on a journey through different eras of Saudi history, from prehistoric times to the modern Kingdom. The displays are detailed and interactive, which really helps you understand the country’s story, culture, and growth over time. The section about Islam’s beginnings and the Prophet’s era was especially powerful and moving. The museum also does a great job blending technology with history. There are screens, videos, and even sound effects that make everything feel alive. I also appreciated how everything is labeled in both Arabic and English, so even international visitors can fully enjoy the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the ticket prices were very reasonable. The museum is located in King Abdulaziz Historical Center, so it’s surrounded by gardens and other landmarks worth exploring after your visit. Overall, I would highly recommend the National Museum to anyone visiting Riyadh, locals or tourists. It’s not just educational, but also inspiring, and it really makes you appreciate Saudi Arabia’s deep and rich heritage.

Wow, honestly wow. Saudi arabia is really opening my eyes towards another dimension, I never thought in my life I would see this much history in the national museum of Saudi Arabia. The museum is super clean, well equipped, signs everywhere, employees willing to help you with anything and super respectful and responsive. Each section of the museum takes you to another dimension, plus I had the chance to visit the exhibition of the coins that was in the museum, the guide during the exposition was amazing, he knows his stuff, and really friendly. The silence of the desert, the rush of the mysterious winds, and the serenity of the surroundings create an atmosphere that touches the heart. Truly, Wadi-e-Jinn is a place where one feels humbled, reminded of the unseen (ghayb), and connected to the power of the Creator. My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn was an incredible and magical experience. Watching our car defy gravity and roll uphill on its own was something I'll never forget. It was a truly happy and unforgettable part of our trip to Madina.

Wadi e Jinn has gained a reputation for being a place where strange things happen. One of the most talked-about phenomena is the "apparent gravity anomaly". Vehicles traveling in the valley often appear to move uphill by themselves, even when the road is supposed to have a downward slope. This optical illusion or magnetic anomaly has fascinated people for years, leading to various theories about the location. Some attribute it to the presence of Jinn, as per traditional beliefs, while others point to natural explanations like magnetic fields or geological oddities.

Wadi e Jin is unlike anywhere else I’ve visited. The valley is surrounded by beautiful rocky mountains, and the atmosphere feels both calm and surreal. The most famous thing here is the natural phenomenon where vehicles seem to move on their own, even uphill, without pressing the accelerator. It’s an experience you really have to see in person to believe! The road is well-maintained, and the drive itself is very scenic. Many people stop to test the “gravity hill” effect, and it’s always fun to watch. The place has a unique charm because of the mix of natural beauty and the mystery behind it. If you’re in Madinah, I definitely recommend a short trip here—it’s only about 30 minutes away from the city. Best to visit in the morning or evening when it’s not too hot.

Anti gravity flow and drive was a unique experience. My Kids enjoyed it a lot, an exciting place with a very high gravity force. Hence, the car is traveling at high speed in neutral without starting the engine. Masha Allah, we are amazed during this trip

Unfortunately I must rate it for 1*. I came back from the desert and wanted to stay in the village so I booked this camp. Can you imagine how surprised I was when they tried to bring me back to the desert? The location is wrong, that is just a meeting point for an expensive jeep ride to the desert. I lost too much time finding a place to sleep in the village, because all of the camps are located in the desert, not in the village. If you have the correct location I wouldn't lose my time for booking you.

If you are planning to go to Wadi Rum, please don’t choose the Wadi Rum Safari Camp Rooms are not clean, plenty of dust and very tired A/C does not work until 8pm when you really don’t need because they want to save energy When you book they did not alert that you should pay 30JOD (around 39 euros) for the transfer from the official entrance of the desert to the camp. No one help us with the luggage from and to the room I can’t give any good word except for the location, indeed in the desert that is beautiful

We stayed at the camp for one night, and took the sunset tour. The host was very welcoming and made us feel at home in the camp. We had a nice Zarb dinner and the breakfast was decent too. Highly recommended.

Attractive although short canyon. There are some petroglyphs on the walls. It is worth to walk inside, but sometimes difficult due to water. Luckily water is not deep ...

It’s a small lovely canyon. One of the must see spot in Wādī Desert 🌵 The importance of it Is on the canyons inner walls that are covered with numerous Nabatean, Islamic (Kufic) and Thamudic inscriptions and petroglyph rock drawings. Beautiful view of the desert after you scrambled up the mountain! Wear good grip shoes/sandals, take water with you. First stop of the jeep tour from the village so pretty crowded at the base. On the way back to the village, we stopped here again to take a 1/2h camel ride (5jd/per) back to the village. Highly recommend the camel ride, super fun experience and just a right amount of time. The camels are cute and seem to be well-looked after!

Nice views from the spring which itself is just unattractive small water hole. The climb is not easy and descent even more difficult due to big rocks. Take it easy and slow!

The way up and down to the spring is not done trough a single path. You can start from any point and make your way up to the top as you see fit. It is under the sun at all time so plan to take water. It is a rather short climb though steep of about 15 mins. We could easily manage the climb with an 11, 13 and 15 years old. On the top you’ll find a very small spring that resembles a pond and that the Bedouin have tap into to bring water down the valley for the animals.

Make sure you do a multi day visit to wadi rum because this site and the other ocuple ones close to the village are innundated with tourists and not all that much fun. If you can get to the back of the desert you can have similar places all to yourself.

Check the rock with the ancient writings, climb up the mountain (take water). The view is insanely beautiful! Then enjoy Bedouin tea when you get down. This is a regular stop for all tours - Jeep or camel, so later in the morning can become pretty crowded. Highly recommend doing it though! One of the highlights of our tour!

Most jeep tours end here. I didn't think it was worth climbing up and I'm glad I didn't. If you do, I suggest you do so very early.

Our driver made the dune drifting part a blast — we couldn’t stop smiling! If you're planning to stay overnight (and you should!), book a tent inside the protected area. Watching the sunset fade into a night full of stars is a surreal experience. Don’t miss the stargazing tour — the desert sky here is unbelievably clear. Dinner is another highlight — a traditional meal slow-cooked underground in the sand for over three hours. The flavor and the experience both are unforgettable. Wadi Rum is more than just a desert — it’s an experience of nature, history, and Bedouin hospitality all in one. Absolutely worth the visit!

A magnificent, unforgettable view where the blue sky meets the orange dunes against the backdrop of majestic mountains. You can ride a jap or a camel, stroll through the dunes, sleep overnight in a tent or a cabin, or admire the starry night sky. I highly recommend it; it's an unforgettable experience.

Wadi Rum is where the Earth pretends to be Mars. It does a pretty convincing job: giant red cliffs, red sand, and silence so thick it hums .. its really, really quiet. Most people stay in one of the many bubble or dome camps, which look like space pods which are scattered all over the desert. These are great, but to really get a feel of the place you’ve got to explore. I hiked up to Burdah Rock Bridge (a 1.5 hour scramble worth every sweaty step) or wander the canyons. If you're staying overnight, one or two nights is perfect: long enough to feel lost in another world, short enough not to get bored.

If you are travelling to Jordan don't miss this place. An overnight stay is a must to have a feel of the place. There are numerous Camps to suit everyone's budget. Took a jeep tour to visit the Protected Area and watch sunset. The organizers/ drivers are very nice and ensure that tourists get best experience. The highlight of the place is that it's a desert surrounded by mountains. Loved the experience and highly recommend a visit to this protected area.

This place can't be more magical! No one visiting Jordan should skip this. The atmosphere, the weather, the view, and everything. It is just magical! We had a couple of hours ride tour. I found it a bit short honestly, but still enough to make sure I am coming again to visit at some point in my life. Highly recommend!!

Oh and if there's no moon, do a star gazing trip to see the Milky Way and shooting stars 🌌☄️🌑 The only reason I haven't given it 5* is because of the rubbish which is being blown into the park from the nearby settlements and camps. It's crying out for a clean up 🥹
