Scitech - Prince Sultan Science and Technology Center

Mentioned on

Science museum
Museums
Scitech, also known as the Prince Sultan Science and Technology Center, is a must-visit destination in Al Khobar for families with children aged 5 to 15. The center features an astronomical observatory and seven main halls showcasing interactive exhibits on science and technology. Visitors can participate in experiments and explore various educational sections such as the world of the seas, biology, living organisms and plants, astronomy, space, earth sciences, and technology.
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting SciTech in Al Khobar with my family, and it turned out to be a truly enriching and enjoyable experience for all of us. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere was vibrant, filled with excitement and curiosity. The interactive exhibits kept both kids and adults engaged throughout our visit. My daughters were especially fascinated by the space section and the science demonstrations — they learned while having fun, which is exactly what a place like this should offer. What stood out was how well-maintained and organized the center was. The staff were polite and helpful, and the facility was clean, spacious, and welcoming. The IMAX theatre experience added a nice touch to the trip, giving us a visual treat that combined entertainment with education. SciTech is a perfect blend of learning and leisure. Whether it's understanding how the human body works, exploring marine life, or stepping into the world of physics, there’s something for every age group. It was a great way to spend quality time with family while sparking curiosity in young minds. Highly recommended for families in and around the Eastern Province — it’s a visit that stays with you long after you leave.
Mohd M — Google review
We recently visited Scitech and unfortunately left feeling underwhelmed. The highlight was definitely the small but lovely aquarium featuring a turtle and tropical fish—engaging and well-maintained. However, much of the rest of the center was disappointing. Several exhibits were either switched off, broken, or clearly under maintenance. The space itself is also quite limited compared to other science museums in the region. That said, the concept is great. The exhibits cover a wide range of fun and interesting science topics, primarily aimed at children under 15. It’s also nice to see bilingual descriptions in both Arabic and English, making the content accessible. There’s real potential here, and with significant improvements, this place could be a fantastic educational outing. But as it stands, I wouldn’t return until more progress has been made. While 2 stars may seem harsh, it reflects the current state of disrepair and ongoing work. Good effort overall, but not quite there yet.
Noelle N — Google review
Concept of this place is really amazing, and it's also affordable. I really liked how there are different places you can discover, from water area, to human body education, space and so on. Really had a lot of fun there, and I bet also kids will mostly like it! However, there is one downside which was a bit disappointing. A lot of the machines here are either under maintenance, or just doesn't work, which was a let down. I also noticed people here complain about the same issue from months ago, and to this day, it is unresolved. I hope they take this into consideration especially that this can be a tourist attraction place.
Rolla U — Google review
Worth it, especially for families and kids. If you have children or you’re into science/technology exhibits, this centre offers a broad and hands-on experience. Go with realistic expectations. It may not be the newest or most state-of-the-art science centre globally, and some exhibits may not work perfectly. But it still offers good value and educational fun. Best time to visit: Earlier in the day is better (less crowd) and check ahead if there is a special show or IMAX screening you want to catch. Bring your own transport if possible. From Dammam, driving to Al Khobar should be straightforward, but check parking/traffic especially in evening hours. Check the website / call ahead. Since some events/exhibits may change or be under maintenance, it’s wise to verify what’s open. Plan for 2-3 hours if you’re doing the main halls + IMAX, though kids may want longer. As per older visitor notes, ticket prices were reasonable (though check current rates). Some reviews from 2013/2014 mention ~40 SR adults, ~30 SR kids for halls + IMAX.
Rubha K — Google review
Went to the SciTech Museum with my sister—overall, it was a pretty fun day. A lot of the exhibits were interesting, especially the interactive ones. We liked the robotics section and some of the space displays. Definitely a good spot if you enjoy science stuff. That said, I was expecting a little more variety or maybe something more high-tech. A few areas felt kind of basic or aimed more at kids. It wasn’t bad at all, just not quite as exciting as I hoped. Still, we had a nice time. Worth checking out if you haven’t been before
Princess J — Google review
This is an amazing place for kids to learn and discover, they can try so many experience and touch a lot of things. The people working there are so nice and helpful, I would recommand to any parent in Khobar to take his kids there.

Amazing place for families and kids! 🧪🔬 SciTech Science Center is full of interactive exhibits, fun experiments, and even an aquarium. It makes learning science exciting and enjoyable. A must-visit in Khobar for both education and entertainment

Best shop to by dates. Team need to work on customer service
Abdulrehman A — Google review
If you really wanna buy some good quality and variety of dates, you need to come to this shop. Many of us go and buy the commercial packed dates from the shelves of Supermarket and street shops selling it because it's cheap. I guess we wouldn't mind paying a tad bit extra to buy quality dates with variety specially for gifting purpose. I had been buying them from here since the time I was introduced to this shop and everytime I am happy with what I picked. The little thing about this place that makes it score me low is, the attention that you would get being an expatriate, while you are buying and already speaking to them, if any Saudi walks in they would leave you, go and attend them first. This is something which is not good, as I believe on a first come first served basis.

Signature Juices

$$$$affordable
Juice shop
If you're on the hunt for a refreshing juice experience, look no further than Signature Juices in Al Khobar. Since 2018, this gem has been delighting visitors with its delicious smoothies and freshly made juices that never fail to impress. The standout feature during my recent visit was the exceptional customer service provided by Leo and his team, who were not only friendly but also genuinely helpful.
I’ve been coming here for their delicious smoothies and freshly made juices since around 2018, and they have never disappointed me! This time, though, something extra stood out, the amazing customer service. Leo and two other workers were so kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. I ordered the beetroot & apple juice, pomegranate juice, and carrot & orange juice , all of them were super fresh, tasty, and so refreshing. They even surprised me with a free açaí smoothie mixed with strawberries, which was such a nice gesture (I’d rate it a 6/10). Definitely going back again!

Tried the “Bank Job” escape room and had an absolute blast! The setup was incredibly immersive, with realistic props and a great storyline. Highly recommended for teams who love a good heist challenge!

One of the best escape room experiences we’ve had! We tried the “Nightmare” room and it was absolutely thrilling from the moment we walked in. The details in the setup, the creepy ambiance, and the clever puzzles kept us hooked the entire time. What made it even better was the energy and support from our amazing game masters — Dana and Mohammed Almomen. They were super friendly, engaging, and made sure the experience was smooth and exciting. You can tell they genuinely love what they do! If you’re looking for something fun, scary (in a good way!), and full of teamwork, this is the place to go. Thank you Dana and Mohammed for the unforgettable memories!

We went to this escape room and it was amaaazinggg! Honestly, way harder than we thought, but that just made it even more fun. The puzzles were super clever and kept us on our toes the whole time. The whole experience was really well done — from the setup to the little details that made us feel totally immersed. Special shoutout to Shaden, who was absolutely amazing and made everything even better with her energy and helpful hints (when we really needed them 😅).

Did the bank heist, it was fun we were close to finishing it. The puzzles were creative and fun but felt like it was a little lacking some polishing in the execution of puzzles department to make the experience smoother. Fun overall!

Islands
Marjan Island, also known as Coral Island, is the first artificial island in Saudi Arabia located off the Cornish road in Dammam. It's a popular tourist spot with beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The island offers various attractions such as parks, picnic areas, children's playgrounds, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment centers. Visitors can access Marjan Island by driving across the bridge or taking a ferry ride from Dammam city.
We're going to this place for fishing and we spend long time here. This this a enjoyable island for spending your time with friends family and alone. Many peoples comes here to take some fresh air and gossip friends & family. This fishing area is cool and you can catch many fishes here. Personally i love this place.
SHARFin — Google review
I recently visited Marjan Island in Dammam during the evening, and unfortunately, the current condition of the spot is quite disappointing. The area seemed neglected, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness—trash was scattered around, and the usual vibrant atmosphere was missing. Unlike before, there wasn’t much foot traffic, giving the place a deserted feel. It seemed like the island might be partially closed or undergoing some sort of renovation, although no official signs confirmed this. Facilities that were once a highlight, like the monument tower and rest areas, appeared poorly maintained. If anyone is planning to visit Marjan Island soon, I’d suggest reconsidering or at least going during the day and being prepared for limited amenities. It’s best to bring your own food, water, and essentials, as the on-site options are minimal. While the location still offers a nice sea breeze and scenic views, the current state doesn’t reflect the vibrant destination it once was.
Dr. H — Google review
Marjan Island is a great spot if you're looking to chill out and relax. It's super peaceful, and some areas might seem a bit empty, but that actually makes it kind of special. The quietness and natural beauty make it perfect for just getting away from everything and enjoying some downtime. Whether you're taking a walk by the water or just soaking up the calm vibes, it's a cool place to escape the usual hustle.

“Marjan Island, Dammam – A Nostalgic Visit with Future Excitement” During our visit to Marjan Island, Dammam, after more than 28 years, we were delighted to relive the cherished memories we made here between 1990 and 2000. This island has always been a special place for us, where our kids enjoyed countless visits, and we once celebrated Pakistan Day with our close family, making it an unforgettable memory. While the island still holds its natural charm, we noticed that some planning and development work is underway, promising to bring more attractions for visitors in the future. As of now, the island remains a simple yet lively picnic spot, where most visitors were enjoying their time by the roadside, fishing, or relaxing with family. The main food options were from food stalls, which added to the casual, outdoor experience. One striking sight was the long stretch of cars parked beside the sea, showing how popular this place remains among locals and visitors alike. It was refreshing to see people gathering, enjoying the cool breeze, and making the most of the island’s peaceful atmosphere. We look forward to seeing how the planned developments will enhance the experience while keeping the island’s serene and nostalgic essence intact.

A Great Shopping Experience with a Minor Inconvenience Al Rashid Mall continues to be one of the top shopping destinations in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, offering a fantastic mix of local and international brands, spacious interiors, and a vibrant atmosphere for families and individuals alike. Whether you’re shopping, dining, or just strolling around, the mall has something for everyone — from high-end fashion to cozy cafes and fun entertainment options. One small inconvenience at the moment is the ongoing refurbishment work in some areas. A few sections are temporarily closed off, which slightly disrupts the usual flow and causes minor detours etc. Overall, Al Rashid Mall remains a great place to spend time & shop around.
Waqar B — Google review
Al-Rashid Mega Mall in Madinah is a massive shopping and entertainment destination with a vast selection of international and local brands, a large food court, a cinema, and a children's play area. Reviewers praise its cleanliness, spaciousness, and extensive offerings, but some note high prices and a confusing layout. It is recommended for its wide range of shopping needs, from clothing to groceries at the attached Carrefour, and for general family-friendly activities.

this mall is under construction for months now. they still operate while ignoring safety protocols. hello civil defense…. open ceiling, and check the new escalator in the video. the railing height is not on standard. forgot to check the brand. right now til they don’t finish the renovation/reconstruction. i don’t recommend this mall.

Al Rashid Mall in Al Khobar is one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The mall is massive, beautifully designed, and offers a complete mix of everything under one roof – from international fashion brands to local shops, a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and family entertainment zones. It is not just a place to shop, but also a lifestyle hub where you can spend an entire day without running out of things to do. The architecture combines modern style with cultural touches, and the indoor environment is always well maintained, clean, and comfortable for families. Parking is huge and easily accessible, though the mall can get very crowded during weekends and evenings, so visiting during weekdays is more relaxed. The recent renovations have made the mall even more attractive, adding signature areas such as Al Rashid Fashion Avenue, Al Rashid Walk, Palm Court, and The Dome, which bring in new experiences and luxury vibes. It has a cinema, kids’ play areas, and spaces where the whole family can enjoy themselves. The traditional section inspired by Saudi heritage is also a nice touch, making it feel more than just a mall. Overall, Al Rashid Mall is not only a shopping center but also a landmark of Al Khobar where locals and tourists alike gather. Whether you are looking for fashion, dining, leisure, or simply a place to relax with family and friends, this mall delivers on every level.

Food Court: With a variety of local and international food options, the food court is a great place to relax and refuel. 4. Clean and Well-Maintained: The mall is known for its cleanliness, with neat and tidy washrooms and spacious parking. 5. Family-Friendly: It's a great place to visit with family, offering leisure, food, and shopping options for all age groups. Not So Good Part 1. Crowded: Due to its size and popularity, the mall can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. 2. Navigation: Finding your way around the mall can be challenging due to its large size and sometimes confusing layout. Make sure you remember the gate where you parked the car.

Just visited Mall of Dhahran, and it’s definitely one of the top shopping spots in Saudi Arabia. The mall has a great mix of both international and local brands, a wide variety of food options in the food court, and fun entertainment like a cinema and a kids’ play area. The place is very clean, spacious, and calm, making it ideal for a day out with family, friends, or even if you’re alone. Just a heads-up—it’s a huge mall! Be ready to walk a lot. Feels like a fun workout while shopping. 😄 Overall, a great place to shop, eat, and relax all in one.

Dhahran Mall is one of the best malls in the Eastern Province, Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It has more than 100 famous brand shops and outlets, including clothing, footwear, perfumes, jewelry, coffee shops, fancy stores, a theatre, a kids’ game zone, a food court, ice skating, and more. Visitors can easily spend 2 to 3 hours enjoying the shopping experience. It is highly recommended for all kinds of people who love shopping.
SALIH U — Google review
Lovely shopping mall. The area close to panda smells and is annoying. It affects my decision to even shop close to it. Significant part of the mall was burnt maybe three years ago, still not rebuilt. The mall is spacious and beautiful with lots of shopping options.
M L — Google review
At its peak -around 10 years ago-, Mall of Dhahran was one of the trendiest malls in the area & the go-to place for all things entertainment; arcades, shopping, food and merely just walking around. Lately and especially after the recent fire -around 2 years ago- it is just not the same. The mall is now half closed, the establishment never recovered and the quality of the stores & building is just not the same. It is still a good place to visit and walk around or do some light shopping. However, if you are planning to do some serious shopping or if you are a tourist, I think you should opt to visit Alnakheel Mall in Dammam. It is much newer, cleaner and with many more name brand stores and local options. Also, the Mall ventilation is not the best. It is always hot inside stores and is only breezy in the walkway between the actual stores. Plenty of parkings & relatively good crowd.
Raghad — Google review
The "Mall of Dhahran" is located in Dhahran, not Riyadh. It is considered a major shopping complex in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, with reviews highlighting its wide variety of stores, entertainment options like a movie theater and kids' play area, diverse food court, and family-friendly atmosphere. Recent news mentions a partial fire in May 2022 that caused damage, but Civil Defense teams responded, and the incident was contained.
Md N — Google review
It's the one of the biggest mall in dammam khobar. It is a grand mall in the city of Dhahran. There are a number of shops and showrooms inside. It also has many brand outlets, a foodcourt, play area, movie theater, grocery stores and so on. Sim card distributors are also available here.

Big and nice store. They have a good collection and variety. I was looking to buy a small gift ladies hand bag. They had a decent collection but I didn't get what exactly I was looking for. So didn't buy anything as it was a quick visit. This store is within Marina mall and it was very very quite. I don't know why the malls in Dammam is not busy and happening. I feel malls in Khobar is more busy compare to Dammam. Good location for the people who wants to avoid rush and crowd and like peaceful shopping. Cheers..........

Nature & Parks
Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium is a modern and adaptable sports venue that accommodates a wide array of events and competitions. Its top-notch facilities make it an ideal destination for sports fans and music aficionados alike. The dynamic atmosphere within the stadium provides an exceptional experience for attendees, who can partake in diverse sporting events and concerts. Whether you're there to support your favorite team or enjoy live performances, this versatile stadium offers an unforgettable experience for visitors.
Entry a bit organized this time however not useful to buy higher tickets. Seating is not organized at all. The stadium was not crowded and view was amazing.
Capt. S — Google review
The Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium has a very well maintained ground, which adds to the excitement of watching live games and events. The quality of the field shows that effort has been put into keeping it in great shape, which is appreciated by players and spectators. However, the seating arrangements could use some attention. Many seats were found to be broken, which made it uncomfortable for visitors. Fixing these seats would improve the overall experience for everyone attending. The biggest issue we faced was with the entry system to the stadium. It was poorly organized, and there were no proper queue arrangements. People had to struggle to find a way in, even if they had already purchased tickets in advance. This caused unnecessary delays and frustration among visitors. A proper entry and queue system could help solve this problem, ensuring everyone enters in a smooth and hassle-free way. It would make attending events a much more enjoyable experience. Despite these issues, the stadium has the potential to be a fantastic venue. The well kept ground is proof of that. With just a bit of effort in repairing the seats and fixing the entry process, it could truly become a standout destination for sports and events in the city. For now, while the stadium is good in some areas, there is definitely room for improvement. Thank You.!
Jaffar A — Google review
Great atmosphere, well organized security guidance throughout. Entrance and exit into the stadium is very clear on the ticketing system, to the guides. Parking in the neighborhood secure and plenty security.
Bebre N — Google review
Al Qadsiah’s home stadium is truly one of the best places for football fans who want to enjoy world-class action without breaking the bank. The ticket prices are surprisingly affordable, yet you still get the chance to watch global superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nacho, and Aubameyang right in front of your eyes. The atmosphere is electric, with passionate fans creating an unforgettable match-day experience. This season is even more exciting, as last year’s Italian league Golden Boot winner, Rategui, has joined the competition. It’s not just a game, but a showcase of top-level football talent in Saudi Arabia. For the price you pay, it’s absolutely worth it — a perfect mix of entertainment, value, and unforgettable memories.

Well maintained ground. Some seats were broken. the system to enter the stadium was pathetic. no proper que system. even after taking the ticket we were struggling to enter the stadium.
Vishnudas C — Google review
Needs renovation. The football pitch is excellent. But the sound system and display screen are very poor and old. New technology should be implemented. Water bottles are not allowed then if you want to buy from inside you need to wait on a queue for 15 minutes to get your turn. Also people should be more clean in the stadium.

The home soccer field for Dammam football clubs Parking is a nightmare especially going against the biggest clubs. In my last visit I had to park so far it took me 20-25 min of walking to get to the gate. Not sure how bad, if so, for golden and silver platforms. Also, exists become bottle necks while leaving. However, the stadium seemed to be well maintained.

It is a very nice mall. Most of the brands available in Dhahran Mall are available here as well. I would recommend going here instead. But the only downside is, it doesn't have many cafe or Restaurants. Apart from this I did good purchase from here.

It's been a long time since I was there last time, but it is improving and contains all the brands you need, there is an arcade game on the 3rd floor , the othaim supermarket is on the first floor along with a variety of shops, I advise everyone to go there, you will find your needs there whatever they are, the second floor has the city max and others. The only issue is that the mall is so big needing an information disc to guide you to the place that you want to go and a larger parking area as well

Sights & Landmarks
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, also known as Ithra, is a modern cultural hub located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It serves as the country's national cultural center and offers a wide range of activities for both adults and children. The center features a library with an extensive collection of books and audiobooks in Arabic and English, a cinema, theaters, and museums that offer guided tours.
A beautiful day at Ithra with my daughter! We explored the Children’s Museum—full of creative workshops and fun educational games—and had the bonus of enjoying the Japanese Cultural Festival happening at the same time! We also stopped by their stunning library, home to thousands of books for all ages. Truly a hidden gem in the heart of the Eastern Province.

We were there on the Founding day holiday and they had many activities going on. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece with its curves and geometrical shapes. We visited the various sections including the library and gaming zones. Everything was well organized and professionally arranged. We had fun and enjoyed our time.
Naim J — Google review
I visited Ithra on the first Wednesday of the month when entry is free. The architecture is stunning, and the whole place is very clean and quiet. It’s the perfect spot for book lovers, students, researchers, and anyone interested in arts, history, or gaining knowledge. The open spaces are large, providing plenty of room to read and study comfortably. It’s more of an educational and cultural hub rather than a family picnic spot. Highly recommended for anyone seeking inspiration or a peaceful environment to learn.
ABDUL A — Google review
Excellent architecture, loved visiting. The color schemes and elements to the environment are remarkable. Mostly crowded but well maintained and relaxing. There are a variety of things one can do and plan here. The staff is cooperative and well behaved.

I recently visited Ithra, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, and it was an incredible experience. The building itself is stunning — a futuristic design that immediately catches your eye. Inside, there’s so much to explore: a museum, a library, a theater, a cinema, an innovation lab, and even a dedicated space for children. I loved how the center blends art, science, and culture in such an interactive and engaging way. There were exhibitions and workshops that felt both educational and inspiring, and I appreciated how it showcased local Saudi talent while also introducing global perspectives. It’s a great place for families, solo visitors or anyone curious about culture and creativity. The only downside I noticed was that some displays had limited English translations, but overall, it didn’t take away from the experience. Ithra left me feeling both enlightened and inspired — definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone visiting the Eastern Province.

A world-class destination that redefines the cultural scene. The building itself is a masterpiece, especially at golden hour. The museums, library, and exhibitions are top-notch and incredibly engaging. Highlights: · Stunning architecture (perfect for photography). · The library is a quiet haven with a vast collection. · The Energy Exhibit is fun and educational for all ages. · Constantly hosting international events and workshops. · Impeccably clean and staff are very helpful. A must-visit for any tourist or resident in Saudi Arabia. It's a true beacon of knowledge and art.

Ithra: A Beacon of Culture and Innovation in Saudi Arabia The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, stands as one of the Kingdom’s most prominent cultural landmarks. Opened to the public in 2018, Ithra was built by Saudi Aramco to serve as a hub for creativity, knowledge, and cross-cultural exchange. Covering an area of about 80,000 square meters, the center includes a museum, a four-story library, a cinema, an idea lab, and a state-of-the-art theater that seats around 900 people. Designed by the renowned Norwegian architectural firm Snøhetta, Ithra’s structure has become a modern architectural icon symbolizing innovation and progress. Since its opening, Ithra has welcomed over 4 million visitors, offering diverse cultural, educational, and artistic experiences. In 2019 alone, the center hosted more than 230 events, ranging from art exhibitions to science and innovation programs. During Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day celebrations, Ithra received over 80,000 visitors in just three days — a testament to its growing popularity. The Ithra Library houses more than 250,000 books, serving as one of the richest knowledge centers in the region. The center was also recognized by Time Magazine as one of the “World’s 100 Greatest Places” in 2018. Ithra continues to expand its reach through major programs and initiatives — in 2023, it reported 64 major events and over 100 programs and partnerships. Beyond being a cultural venue, Ithra plays a vital role in nurturing talent, inspiring innovation, and fostering global dialogue about culture and creativity.

King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, is a cultural landmark with a museum, library, theater, and art galleries. I really loved it because the design is beautiful and there are many activities to enjoy. The only thing I dislike is that it gets too crowded on weekends. Ithra is known for its big library and international exhibitions. It is a great place for families and students. I recommend booking tickets online, going early, and wearing comfortable shoes because the place is large. Visiting Ithra is an amazing experience that you will definitely enjoy.

This Cafe is very well equipped and organized for getting a cup of coffee or tea or for a dessert. The cashier guy is very polite and helpful to decide what you want to get. By far it is the best cozy and relaxing place to study, have a meeting or to runaway from your busy life. The place is covered either with paintings on the wall or portraits and you can see paintings from vintage cartoons and some funny pictures with animated paintings on the electricity plugs. My recommendation: -Spanish Salted Caramel (Cold). -Saffron Cake (Comes with cardamom hint). -If you can take your coffee dine in because you will like the atmosphere.

I really like the atmosphere, the coffee, and the nice interior. This is a good place to chill. Try the Pecan Pie, it won't disappoint you. My usual order is coffee latte, but I must say the taste and the volume of the same order varies with the barista.

Good coffee, excellent cake but bit expensive. The atmosphere is really cool, and decorations one of the factors that make looks great. I tried the zafran cake and it was delicious, highly recommended. Coffee was good.

I was amazed to see how unique this coffee shop is. It’s mix between the vintage style and the animation memories. Great coffee and customer service, I can say it’s the best in Safwa.

Mena Holiday Beach Resort Half Moon

Hotel
Outdoor Activities
Mena Holiday Beach Resort Half Moon is a charming bayside getaway that offers cozy rooms and suites, perfect for those looking to unwind by the sea. With its own private beach and a medium-sized pool, guests can enjoy leisurely days soaking up the sun. While dining options are available on-site, meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner come at an additional cost.
It is cut off from city centre, so hungerstation doesnt deliver here, leaving no other choice than to rely on the menu by the resort.otherwise its got a beautiful coastline with swimming pool for kids
Nida S — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is that it has a private beach. Food choices for breakfast is limited. Called the staff to clean our room but nobody came and when we insisted on having our room tidied up, the hotel staffs declined and said that they have other rooms to clean first (no guests). Dirty pool especially the kiddie pool. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Only come here if you’re on a tight budget and wanted to have a private beach.
Aprilyn — Google review
The place is very good and the beach is also inviting you to swim. A good plce to hold a big event for company gatherings or recollections. A lot of fun activity and sports you can do here because of theur wide amenities. The only thing i do not like or disappointed is their toilet/ washroom. They should change/replace or renovate their public toilet mostly the toilet bowl and sink. It is very important to attract more guests and custumers.

I went on a Eid vacation, and the hotel was mediocre at best. Pros: Room size is good Location is perfect Cons: Awful food Terrible service NO cleanness Hotel has signs of age Shower takes time to be hot There was no cleanness in the hotel. There were no toothbrushes, tissues, or toothpaste and the towels were old and dirty. The "room cleaning" button on the hotel telephone does not work .The cleaner only came ONE time in my 4 day vacation, and if you try to get him to come clean your room he takes a long time to come. The food was awful for both breakfast and lunch. There was not a lot of food, and the food feels old and cold. In addition, the hotel is pretty greedy, so if you want to get a bottle of water or get a bottle of Pepsi, you'll need to pay up. The water is overpriced and small (costs 4 riyals!). The service is very bad. The hotel tries to minimize the amount of workers to reduce the prices of rooms, and that has diminishing returns. In the swimming pool area, there are no table cleaners and overall service is very bad. The hotel has signs of age, and that becomes evident when you go to the underground pool bathroom, as the roof is literally peeling off. These signs of age are all over the hotel, including in the bottom of doors, and in the rooms. Lastly, the shower takes a long time to get hot even if you set the water temperature at the highest. For the price, I expected more. The location is excellent, but the poor cleanliness, bad food, and lack of service make this hotel hard to recommend.

It was a terrible experience. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this. I would highly recommend not to stay in this hotel. Here’s why : The rooms were small and dingy. They were not cleaned properly as we saw trash in the room. The toilet was disgusting and unclean. They did not clean the room properly. There was not much to do. Extremely Boring. Quite safe. There was not much you could walk around. It was plain and nothing to eat. Especially breakfast the food was dead and completely disgusting. The room service was really bad. We asked them for a mattress they couldn’t give, they only gave a blanket with bugs in it. Whenever we ask they always bring at least 2 hours after. For people who’ve statues and Enjoyed before, rethink. This resort used to be holiday inn. Holiday in was superb. That’s why we came. They’ve changed their ways as there is a new owner. Mena hotel was previously holiday inn. But their ways have changed badly. They also scammed, lied, and cheated us. They promised us 3 beds that we never got. They charged us for 3 bedrooms but only gave us 2 bedrooms. They promised us mattresses but we never got that as well. They got us 3 useless blankets that we could not use without mattresses. Even one of them had bugs. A little message to the manager of Mena Resort : I you are reading this, we had a horrible stay. You offered us 3 beds and charged us for 3 beds but you only gave us 2. You promised us 3 mattresses but you only gave us 3 blankets with one having bugs. I’m sorry to say but we have not enjoyed this and certainly won’t come back. We feel we did not have a stay up to our expectations and if you made a mistake it would be shameful not to make compensate. You guys made a mistake and instead of trying to compensate you guys made it worse. Overall, staying in this hotel is not a good idea.

Very good place only down side is that the buffet is extra and you have to buy breakfast / lunch / dinner separately but the pool was ok it was not heated tho but it was medium sized and beach was ok the sand is not that good but you get a beutiful sunset

It is the worst resort ever - I don’t recommend anyone to stay here rooms are too old - not clean full of insects the moment you open the balcony door - villa beside are not renovated and full of damage furniture on in the front where it is supposed to sit and enjoy the sea view- they describe the unit as a villa of two bedrooms and in fact it is a studio type unit - too small and smelling bad

The best of the best. Husain Al Abbas is the best course director. As he is the first course director in Eastern Province, lots of PADI instructors "in Eastern Province" have come out from his way. Also, he has a great and professional attitude. he treats all of his students as friends and colleagues.

Embark on an unforgettable cave exploration adventure at Heet Cave in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This natural wonder offers a serene escape from the city, making it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. What sets Heet Cave apart is its underground lake, adding to the allure of this unique destination. Located near Mount Al Jubayl in Wadi As Sulay village, it's easily accessible from Riyadh and offers a steep trek with stunning views.
If you are in to desert landscapes and beautiful starlit skies, this is the place for you. We happened to visit Heet caves during sunset and camped nearby overnight. The descend down to the tiny cave underneath is a bit challenging as it gets steeper towards the end. It is a good hike back up as well. A beautiful spot to spend some time with friends and family. Note: please take your trash with you as there is no space to get rid of it here.

Not as beautiful or attractive as I expected, but the waters are so clear, it feels very exciting. But for those who are not used to mountain trekking, it will be very difficult to go here, a lot of good time was spent with dear people.

What a show of Culture, love and compassion. Very well organised event hats off to the people involved in organising such large scale event with so very well done homework. All the reagional stalls were superb and rich and were true depiction of their regional crafts, workers, living style, culture etc etc. It was my first experience to attend the mega event, i thoroughly enjoyed and loved every bit of it

You have to walk a lot here. And there are many shops here for bracelets, watches, jewellery, trolley bags (not for travelling), and there are many eatery shops also. You get to explore new things here. I went in the morning and many shops were closed and there were no shows going on! Maybe in the evening it would be more fun!
Z — Google review
Must see if you're in Saudi. We went in the morning, which was a mistake since most stores open around 4pm. But it wasn't too crowded and we got to see a lot of old crafts and buy some local food. Take a look at the map in the pics. We parked near gate 5, which was far from the action. Try going for gates 1,2 or 3.
Yousef A — Google review
Great place to learn about culture, food, and traditio of the different regions in Saudi. It's a huge area which requires at least 10 hours of non stop walking to see everything. It's best to do them in 2 or 3 days.

Wow....Saudi Arabia in a nutshell. Every town/city/region is represented here with each their own traditional dance, food and architectural structures. All that identifies that tribe or society. Their main activities and cultural inheritance. Such interesting scenes and activities and the Saudi's are all so welcoming and friendly. Proud of their cultural inheritance and patiently explained every bit to all the guests that walk in there. Amazing dances and their food so tasty and delicious. A must see to everyone!!! What a rich and fantastic Cultural festival free of charge! The development of Saudi is clearly visible and drastically fast during the past few years! I enjoyed it so much that I went back to see more as one trip was not enough. What an experience!!

An amazing festival to explore the heritage and cultural aspect of Saudi Arabia, as well as countries of the gulf region. The Emirates section was really great, well organized and maintained. My favourite wing was the hijazi section, very beautiful, friendly ambiance, delicious food too. Maintenance efforts and organization is improving but not perfect yet, especially the parking but definitely worth the visit !
AbdulAziz H — Google review
A really enjoyable experience and great opportunity to experience the rich heritage of each of the provinces of Saudi Arabia. The parking was well organised and the main grounds were clean and easy to walk around. For anyone with strollers or wheelchairs they’d have no problem getting around. There’s so much to see and so many vendors from each region selling their traditional, local goods. For food, check out the Madinah and Qassim pavilions for good choices but you’ll also find many fast food stalls around the grounds including Kudu, Shawarma, Taj, Burgerizzr, bagels and more. You’ll also find the other Gulf countries represented here as well as a “guest country” (Indonesia this year.) Go early in the day (we arrived at 12noon) to beat the crowds and have the opportunity to take great photos while it’s still light. It’s starts getting very busy after asr prayer and then progressively busier.
Nicola C — Google review
Must visit atleast once if you have opportunity and to spend full day to see the majority of exhibitors. Do wear casual and comfortable shoes as need to walk a lot. Kids must be carried in stroller.

Shuhada Uhud Cemetery

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Shuhada Uhud Cemetery, situated at the base of Uhud Mountain in Medina, is a renowned Islamic shrine. It contains the remains of 70 martyrs who lost their lives during the Battle of Uhud. One notable individual among them is Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib, the uncle of Prophet Muhammad. This cemetery serves as a final resting place for those who sacrificed their lives during this historic battle between early Muslims and their Meccan foes in 624 CE.
This cemetery of Shuhada Uhud very near to haram must be visited while in Madina to pray for Duaa& salam for the martyrs of Uhud battle. It is a well maintained place with an amazing mosque nearby. Visitors even go up the hill of Ramah in front of the cemetery. I have visited this place many times even when there was no modern majid on the campus.
Dr G — Google review
Ohod Cemetery, located in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is indeed a place of significant historical and spiritual importance. It is the resting place of many companions of the Prophet Muhammad and holds a deep reverence among Muslims. The serene environment and historical significance can make it a peaceful and reflective place for visitors. If you have any specific experiences or aspects of the cemetery you'd like to share or discuss, feel free!
DA S — Google review
You would have more appreciation if you read the detailed seerah on accounts of the Uhud battle beforehand. I read ar-Raheeq al-Makhtum and I wept, and I smiled then I'm shattered (especially how the Meccan Polytheists treat the martyrs was beyond savage) and my admiration towards the companions be it Muhajireen or Ansar radiallahu 'anhum grew more and more. Common misconceptions Muslims have is that we loss the Uhud battle, but it's not entirely true, because the Musyrikeen didn't succeed in their ultimate goal either which is mrdring Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. There are layers and layers in Allah 'Azza Wajalla's decree and wisdom for us to seek knowledge, lessons and humbled ourselves before Him. "Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of these dwellings among the believers and Muslims. Indeed, we are, insha'Allah, soon to join you. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you."
Hasanah A — Google review
This is the cemetery housing the graves of the martyrs of Uhud, foremost amongst them Sayyid ush Shuhada Hamza (as). It is right opposite Jabal up Rumah, the hill on which the Prophet (PBUH) commanded archers to hold position under the command of Abdullah ibn Jubair. The cemetery is enclosed by a barrier but the graves can be seen through it with the grave of Hamza (as) being the most prominent. The site is a fitting reminder that those who are blinded by the allure of the riches of the world harm not only themselves but others through their choices.
Taha Z — Google review
The cemetery is adjacent to a mosque. During hot day you can take shelter in the mosque before or after you pray a visit to the graveyard.
Galih P — Google review
The Martyrs of Uhud Cemetery is a destination for the visitors of Madinah, as it includes 70 tombs of top Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who fought and were killed in the battle of Uhud in 3 Hijri/625 AD. The cemetery is located in "Sayyid al-Shuhada Square" where a memorable battle of early Islamic history took place. On the site, there is also Sayyid al-Shuhada Mosque, the second largest mosque in Madinah, after the Prophet's Mosque. It accommodates 15000 people at times of prayer, and the cemetery is 3 km to the north of the Prophet's Mosque, near the base of Mount Uhud, after which the battle was named. You can visit the Martyrs of Uhud Cemetery 24/7. It is surrounded by a wall with metal bars, through which visitors may look. Some visitors start with performing prayer in Sayyid al-Shuhada Mosque and then climb Archers' Hill, from which they can have a better view of the square and the cemetery.

Wadi E Jin

Wadi E Jin, also known as Wadi e Jinn Al Baida, is a mysterious and enchanting mountainous area located about 30 kilometers north of Medina. It is famous for its rocky roads where cars seem to move without any driver input or acceleration. Local legends attribute this phenomenon to the power of jinns, with some claiming to have heard eerie voices urging them to leave the area. Geologists, however, explain it as a result of reverse gravity.
Just experienced the mind-blowing Anti-Gravity Flow & Drive in Madina with my brothers! Watching a car zoom in neutral gear without engine power was unreal! Allah's creation is truly amazing. And what a surprise! Compared to my last visit a few years ago, the roads have been upgraded to one-way streets with a speed limit of 110 km/h (from 80-90 km/h earlier)! The new infrastructure makes the experience even more thrilling! Highly recommend a visit to entertain you and your loved ones! 😍
Chaudhary I — Google review
My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn left me stunned and amazed. It is a place where nature shows a phenomenon beyond normal explanation. I witnessed the strong winds of the valley, and when I placed a bottle on the road, instead of rolling in the direction of the wind, it moved in the opposite way. It was both shocking and fascinating — an experience that made me pause in awe. What makes Wadi-e-Jinn even more special is the deep tranquility it holds. Despite the unusual occurrence, the valley is peaceful and calm. The silence of the desert, the rush of the mysterious winds, and the serenity of the surroundings create an atmosphere that touches the heart. This place reminds you of the greatness of Allah ﷻ and the unseen realities of this world. It makes you reflect on how vast creation is and how limited human understanding can be. Truly, Wadi-e-Jinn is a place where one feels humbled, reminded of the unseen (ghayb), and connected to the power of the Creator. Every moment spent there was not just a sight of nature’s wonder, but also a reminder that the universe is filled with signs (ayat) that point towards Allah’s majesty and wisdom.

My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn was an incredible and magical experience. Watching our car defy gravity and roll uphill on its own was something I'll never forget. It was a truly happy and unforgettable part of our trip to Madina.
Najam H — Google review
Nice place to visit. It has very basic facilities. It seems cheerful for kids too.
Imran J — Google review
Wadi e Jinn has gained a reputation for being a place where strange things happen. One of the most talked-about phenomena is the "apparent gravity anomaly". Vehicles traveling in the valley often appear to move uphill by themselves, even when the road is supposed to have a downward slope. This optical illusion or magnetic anomaly has fascinated people for years, leading to various theories about the location. Some attribute it to the presence of Jinn, as per traditional beliefs, while others point to natural explanations like magnetic fields or geological oddities.
Ali B — Google review
Wadi e Jin is unlike anywhere else I’ve visited. The valley is surrounded by beautiful rocky mountains, and the atmosphere feels both calm and surreal. The most famous thing here is the natural phenomenon where vehicles seem to move on their own, even uphill, without pressing the accelerator. It’s an experience you really have to see in person to believe! The road is well-maintained, and the drive itself is very scenic. Many people stop to test the “gravity hill” effect, and it’s always fun to watch. The place has a unique charm because of the mix of natural beauty and the mystery behind it. If you’re in Madinah, I definitely recommend a short trip here—it’s only about 30 minutes away from the city. Best to visit in the morning or evening when it’s not too hot.
Sufyan M — Google review
Anti gravity flow and drive was a unique experience. My Kids enjoyed it a lot, an exciting place with a very high gravity force. Hence, the car is traveling at high speed in neutral without starting the engine. Masha Allah, we are amazed during this trip
