We recently visited Scitech and unfortunately left feeling underwhelmed. The highlight was definitely the small but lovely aquarium featuring a turtle and tropical fish—engaging and well-maintained. However, much of the rest of the center was disappointing. Several exhibits were either switched off, broken, or clearly under maintenance. The space itself is also quite limited compared to other science museums in the region. That said, the concept is great. The exhibits cover a wide range of fun and interesting science topics, primarily aimed at children under 15. It’s also nice to see bilingual descriptions in both Arabic and English, making the content accessible. There’s real potential here, and with significant improvements, this place could be a fantastic educational outing. But as it stands, I wouldn’t return until more progress has been made. While 2 stars may seem harsh, it reflects the current state of disrepair and ongoing work. Good effort overall, but not quite there yet.

Concept of this place is really amazing, and it's also affordable. I really liked how there are different places you can discover, from water area, to human body education, space and so on. Really had a lot of fun there, and I bet also kids will mostly like it! However, there is one downside which was a bit disappointing. A lot of the machines here are either under maintenance, or just doesn't work, which was a let down. I also noticed people here complain about the same issue from months ago, and to this day, it is unresolved. I hope they take this into consideration especially that this can be a tourist attraction place.

It may not be the newest or most state-of-the-art science centre globally, and some exhibits may not work perfectly. But it still offers good value and educational fun. Best time to visit: Earlier in the day is better (less crowd) and check ahead if there is a special show or IMAX screening you want to catch. Bring your own transport if possible. From Dammam, driving to Al Khobar should be straightforward, but check parking/traffic especially in evening hours. Check the website / call ahead. Since some events/exhibits may change or be under maintenance, it’s wise to verify what’s open. Plan for 2-3 hours if you’re doing the main halls + IMAX, though kids may want longer. As per older visitor notes, ticket prices were reasonable (though check current rates). Some reviews from 2013/2014 mention ~40 SR adults, ~30 SR kids for halls + IMAX.

Went to the SciTech Museum with my sister—overall, it was a pretty fun day. A lot of the exhibits were interesting, especially the interactive ones. We liked the robotics section and some of the space displays. Definitely a good spot if you enjoy science stuff. That said, I was expecting a little more variety or maybe something more high-tech. A few areas felt kind of basic or aimed more at kids. It wasn’t bad at all, just not quite as exciting as I hoped. Still, we had a nice time. Worth checking out if you haven’t been before

This is an amazing place for kids to learn and discover, they can try so many experience and touch a lot of things. The people working there are so nice and helpful, I would recommand to any parent in Khobar to take his kids there.

If you really wanna buy some good quality and variety of dates, you need to come to this shop. Many of us go and buy the commercial packed dates from the shelves of Supermarket and street shops selling it because it's cheap. I guess we wouldn't mind paying a tad bit extra to buy quality dates with variety specially for gifting purpose. I had been buying them from here since the time I was introduced to this shop and everytime I am happy with what I picked. The little thing about this place that makes it score me low is, the attention that you would get being an expatriate, while you are buying and already speaking to them, if any Saudi walks in they would leave you, go and attend them first. This is something which is not good, as I believe on a first come first served basis.

Tried the “Bank Job” escape room and had an absolute blast! The setup was incredibly immersive, with realistic props and a great storyline. We went to this escape room and it was amaaazinggg! Honestly, way harder than we thought, but that just made it even more fun. The puzzles were super clever and kept us on our toes the whole time. The whole experience was really well done — from the setup to the little details that made us feel totally immersed. Always a favorite place of mine to hang out even if I’m not in the mood for spending cash... the merchandise there is candy to the eyes. Every piece there can fit in every person’s house. Beautiful traditional items with an all time validity :) there are events and art shows on the upper floors. Check their website and app for details and prices to make your shopping trip more organized if your looking to furnish your house, so you don’t miss on the good stuff.

I recently visited Marjan Island in Dammam during the evening, and unfortunately, the current condition of the spot is quite disappointing. The area seemed neglected, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness—trash was scattered around, and the usual vibrant atmosphere was missing. Unlike before, there wasn’t much foot traffic, giving the place a deserted feel. It seemed like the island might be partially closed or undergoing some sort of renovation, although no official signs confirmed this. Facilities that were once a highlight, like the monument tower and rest areas, appeared poorly maintained. If anyone is planning to visit Marjan Island soon, I’d suggest reconsidering or at least going during the day and being prepared for limited amenities. It’s best to bring your own food, water, and essentials, as the on-site options are minimal. While the location still offers a nice sea breeze and scenic views, the current state doesn’t reflect the vibrant destination it once was.

A non crowded peaceful place for tourists with 360View of sea, clean and green park with huts, and boating. No restaurants only juice, tea stalls. It is better to bring your own food and snacks. For boating 20 min ride is available. A floating cafeteria is available free of charge if you purchased boat ride. Otherwise you can go to cafeteria by paying minimal charges.

Lovely shopping mall. The area close to panda smells and is annoying. It affects my decision to even shop close to it. Significant part of the mall was burnt maybe three years ago, still not rebuilt. The mall is spacious and beautiful with lots of shopping options.

At its peak -around 10 years ago-, Mall of Dhahran was one of the trendiest malls in the area & the go-to place for all things entertainment; arcades, shopping, food and merely just walking around. Lately and especially after the recent fire -around 2 years ago- it is just not the same. The mall is now half closed, the establishment never recovered and the quality of the stores & building is just not the same. It is still a good place to visit and walk around or do some light shopping. However, if you are planning to do some serious shopping or if you are a tourist, I think you should opt to visit Alnakheel Mall in Dammam. It is much newer, cleaner and with many more name brand stores and local options. Also, the Mall ventilation is not the best. It is always hot inside stores and is only breezy in the walkway between the actual stores. Plenty of parkings & relatively good crowd.

Big and nice store. They have a good collection and variety. I was looking to buy a small gift ladies hand bag. They had a decent collection but I didn't get what exactly I was looking for. So didn't buy anything as it was a quick visit. This store is within Marina mall and it was very very quite. I don't know why the malls in Dammam is not busy and happening. The Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium has a very well maintained ground, which adds to the excitement of watching live games and events. People had to struggle to find a way in, even if they had already purchased tickets in advance. This caused unnecessary delays and frustration among visitors. A proper entry and queue system could help solve this problem, ensuring everyone enters in a smooth and hassle-free way. It would make attending events a much more enjoyable experience. Despite these issues, the stadium has the potential to be a fantastic venue. The well kept ground is proof of that. With just a bit of effort in repairing the seats and fixing the entry process, it could truly become a standout destination for sports and events in the city. Well maintained ground. Some seats were broken. the system to enter the stadium was pathetic. no proper que system. even after taking the ticket we were struggling to enter the stadium.

Needs renovation. The football pitch is excellent. But the sound system and display screen are very poor and old. New technology should be implemented. Water bottles are not allowed then if you want to buy from inside you need to wait on a queue for 15 minutes to get your turn. Also people should be more clean in the stadium.

The home soccer field for Dammam football clubs Parking is a nightmare especially going against the biggest clubs. In my last visit I had to park so far it took me 20-25 min of walking to get to the gate. Not sure how bad, if so, for golden and silver platforms. Also, exists become bottle necks while leaving. However, the stadium seemed to be well maintained.

This mall has everything you could want under one roof. Great shopping options and plenty of shops. Food court is also available with several options. Well decorated with clean and modern layout. Parking was easy and the entire space felt safe and well-maintained. During the weekends will be crowded a bit especially the food court.

Mall is on good location, it's like a big ship. You will find many national and international brands of clothing and other household things. Mall top floor has food court and big area for kids entertainment. It includes many arcade games and different types of ride, swing etc. Food court has big sitting area. But on weekends it Will almost full. There is also hyper market with good promotions. Although parking area is limited. Good place to visit with kids, family indoor hangout. I contacted the owner to visit and change a battery for my diving computer. After reaching the location, I called and waited for 15 min, the staff in the shop told me the manager is here (upstairs inside the shop),and he will come, I waited and no one came and not even called or texted me. And for such an experience without any follow up, I give you 1 star :)

We were there on the Founding day holiday and they had many activities going on. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece with its curves and geometrical shapes. I visited Ithra on the first Wednesday of the month when entry is free. The architecture is stunning, and the whole place is very clean and quiet. It’s the perfect spot for book lovers, students, researchers, and anyone interested in arts, history, or gaining knowledge. The open spaces are large, providing plenty of room to read and study comfortably. It’s more of an educational and cultural hub rather than a family picnic spot. Highly recommended for anyone seeking inspiration or a peaceful environment to learn.

I really loved it because the design is beautiful and there are many activities to enjoy. The only thing I dislike is that it gets too crowded on weekends. First of all, there is no store still open they all closed, the place when it was opened was not clean, the food court had not any good restaurants, panda was very unclean. If you go I don’t think so there is anything left open.

Very small mall as the other side is grocery store and insurance companies. Also, it's only suitable for women as most of the stores are targeting this gender. It is always very crowded and I feel discomfort while walking beside it.

This Cafe is very well equipped and organized for getting a cup of coffee or tea or for a dessert. The cashier guy is very polite and helpful to decide what you want to get. By far it is the best cozy and relaxing place to study, have a meeting or to runaway from your busy life. The place is covered either with paintings on the wall or portraits and you can see paintings from vintage cartoons and some funny pictures with animated paintings on the electricity plugs. My recommendation: -Spanish Salted Caramel (Cold). -Saffron Cake (Comes with cardamom hint). -If you can take your coffee dine in because you will like the atmosphere.

I really like the atmosphere, the coffee, and the nice interior. This is a good place to chill. Try the Pecan Pie, it won't disappoint you. My usual order is coffee latte, but I must say the taste and the volume of the same order varies with the barista.

Good coffee, excellent cake but bit expensive. The atmosphere is really cool, and decorations one of the factors that make looks great. I tried the zafran cake and it was delicious, highly recommended. Coffee was good.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it has a private beach. Food choices for breakfast is limited. Called the staff to clean our room but nobody came and when we insisted on having our room tidied up, the hotel staffs declined and said that they have other rooms to clean first (no guests). Dirty pool especially the kiddie pool. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Only come here if you’re on a tight budget and wanted to have a private beach.

The place is very good and the beach is also inviting you to swim. A good plce to hold a big event for company gatherings or recollections. A lot of fun activity and sports you can do here because of theur wide amenities. The only thing i do not like or disappointed is their toilet/ washroom. They should change/replace or renovate their public toilet mostly the toilet bowl and sink. It is very important to attract more guests and custumers.

I went on a Eid vacation, and the hotel was mediocre at best. Pros: Room size is good Location is perfect Cons: Awful food Terrible service NO cleanness Hotel has signs of age Shower takes time to be hot There was no cleanness in the hotel. There were no toothbrushes, tissues, or toothpaste and the towels were old and dirty. The "room cleaning" button on the hotel telephone does not work .The cleaner only came ONE time in my 4 day vacation, and if you try to get him to come clean your room he takes a long time to come. The food was awful for both breakfast and lunch. There was not a lot of food, and the food feels old and cold. In addition, the hotel is pretty greedy, so if you want to get a bottle of water or get a bottle of Pepsi, you'll need to pay up. The water is overpriced and small (costs 4 riyals!). The service is very bad. The hotel tries to minimize the amount of workers to reduce the prices of rooms, and that has diminishing returns. In the swimming pool area, there are no table cleaners and overall service is very bad. The hotel has signs of age, and that becomes evident when you go to the underground pool bathroom, as the roof is literally peeling off. These signs of age are all over the hotel, including in the bottom of doors, and in the rooms. Lastly, the shower takes a long time to get hot even if you set the water temperature at the highest. For the price, I expected more. The location is excellent, but the poor cleanliness, bad food, and lack of service make this hotel hard to recommend.

It was a terrible experience. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this. I would highly recommend not to stay in this hotel. Here’s why : The rooms were small and dingy. They were not cleaned properly as we saw trash in the room. The toilet was disgusting and unclean. They did not clean the room properly. There was not much to do. Extremely Boring. Quite safe. There was not much you could walk around. It was plain and nothing to eat. Especially breakfast the food was dead and completely disgusting. The room service was really bad. We asked them for a mattress they couldn’t give, they only gave a blanket with bugs in it. Whenever we ask they always bring at least 2 hours after. For people who’ve statues and Enjoyed before, rethink. This resort used to be holiday inn. Holiday in was superb. That’s why we came. They’ve changed their ways as there is a new owner. Mena hotel was previously holiday inn. But their ways have changed badly. They also scammed, lied, and cheated us. They promised us 3 beds that we never got. They charged us for 3 bedrooms but only gave us 2 bedrooms. They promised us mattresses but we never got that as well. They got us 3 useless blankets that we could not use without mattresses. Even one of them had bugs. A little message to the manager of Mena Resort : I you are reading this, we had a horrible stay. You offered us 3 beds and charged us for 3 beds but you only gave us 2. You promised us 3 mattresses but you only gave us 3 blankets with one having bugs. I’m sorry to say but we have not enjoyed this and certainly won’t come back. We feel we did not have a stay up to our expectations and if you made a mistake it would be shameful not to make compensate. You guys made a mistake and instead of trying to compensate you guys made it worse. Overall, staying in this hotel is not a good idea.

Very good place only down side is that the buffet is extra and you have to buy breakfast / lunch / dinner separately but the pool was ok it was not heated tho but it was medium sized and beach was ok the sand is not that good but you get a beutiful sunset

It is the worst resort ever - I don’t recommend anyone to stay here rooms are too old - not clean full of insects the moment you open the balcony door - villa beside are not renovated and full of damage furniture on in the front where it is supposed to sit and enjoy the sea view- they describe the unit as a villa of two bedrooms and in fact it is a studio type unit - too small and smelling bad

Had a great time diving this morning with Captain Hussain in Palm Beach. It was my first dive after my certification! Many various schools of fishes were following us almost the whole time! All equipments were readily available and the dive felt very safe. Definitely will come back again to see the seahorse inshallah 👌

You have to walk a lot here. And there are many shops here for bracelets, watches, jewellery, trolley bags (not for travelling), and there are many eatery shops also. You get to explore new things here. I went in the morning and many shops were closed and there were no shows going on! Maybe in the evening it would be more fun!

Must see if you're in Saudi. We went in the morning, which was a mistake since most stores open around 4pm. But it wasn't too crowded and we got to see a lot of old crafts and buy some local food. Take a look at the map in the pics. We parked near gate 5, which was far from the action. Try going for gates 1,2 or 3.

Great place to learn about culture, food, and traditio of the different regions in Saudi. It's a huge area which requires at least 10 hours of non stop walking to see everything. It's best to do them in 2 or 3 days.

Wow....Saudi Arabia in a nutshell. Every town/city/region is represented here with each their own traditional dance, food and architectural structures. All that identifies that tribe or society. Their main activities and cultural inheritance. Such interesting scenes and activities and the Saudi's are all so welcoming and friendly. Proud of their cultural inheritance and patiently explained every bit to all the guests that walk in there. Amazing dances and their food so tasty and delicious. A must see to everyone!!! What a rich and fantastic Cultural festival free of charge! The development of Saudi is clearly visible and drastically fast during the past few years! I enjoyed it so much that I went back to see more as one trip was not enough. What an experience!!

An amazing festival to explore the heritage and cultural aspect of Saudi Arabia, as well as countries of the gulf region. The Emirates section was really great, well organized and maintained. My favourite wing was the hijazi section, very beautiful, friendly ambiance, delicious food too. Maintenance efforts and organization is improving but not perfect yet, especially the parking but definitely worth the visit !

A really enjoyable experience and great opportunity to experience the rich heritage of each of the provinces of Saudi Arabia. The parking was well organised and the main grounds were clean and easy to walk around. For anyone with strollers or wheelchairs they’d have no problem getting around. There’s so much to see and so many vendors from each region selling their traditional, local goods. For food, check out the Madinah and Qassim pavilions for good choices but you’ll also find many fast food stalls around the grounds including Kudu, Shawarma, Taj, Burgerizzr, bagels and more. You’ll also find the other Gulf countries represented here as well as a “guest country” (Indonesia this year.) Go early in the day (we arrived at 12noon) to beat the crowds and have the opportunity to take great photos while it’s still light. It’s starts getting very busy after asr prayer and then progressively busier.

Must visit atleast once if you have opportunity and to spend full day to see the majority of exhibitors. Do wear casual and comfortable shoes as need to walk a lot. Kids must be carried in stroller.

You would have more appreciation if you read the detailed seerah on accounts of the Uhud battle beforehand. I read ar-Raheeq al-Makhtum and I wept, and I smiled then I'm shattered (especially how the Meccan Polytheists treat the martyrs was beyond savage) and my admiration towards the companions be it Muhajireen or Ansar radiallahu 'anhum grew more and more. Common misconceptions Muslims have is that we loss the Uhud battle, but it's not entirely true, because the Musyrikeen didn't succeed in their ultimate goal either which is mrdring Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. There are layers and layers in Allah 'Azza Wajalla's decree and wisdom for us to seek knowledge, lessons and humbled ourselves before Him. "Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of these dwellings among the believers and Muslims. Indeed, we are, insha'Allah, soon to join you. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you."

This is the cemetery housing the graves of the martyrs of Uhud, foremost amongst them Sayyid ush Shuhada Hamza (as). It is right opposite Jabal up Rumah, the hill on which the Prophet (PBUH) commanded archers to hold position under the command of Abdullah ibn Jubair. The cemetery is enclosed by a barrier but the graves can be seen through it with the grave of Hamza (as) being the most prominent. The site is a fitting reminder that those who are blinded by the allure of the riches of the world harm not only themselves but others through their choices.

The cemetery is adjacent to a mosque. During hot day you can take shelter in the mosque before or after you pray a visit to the graveyard.

The Martyrs of Uhud Cemetery is a destination for the visitors of Madinah, as it includes 70 tombs of top Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who fought and were killed in the battle of Uhud in 3 Hijri/625 AD. The cemetery is located in "Sayyid al-Shuhada Square" where a memorable battle of early Islamic history took place. On the site, there is also Sayyid al-Shuhada Mosque, the second largest mosque in Madinah, after the Prophet's Mosque. It accommodates 15000 people at times of prayer, and the cemetery is 3 km to the north of the Prophet's Mosque, near the base of Mount Uhud, after which the battle was named. You can visit the Martyrs of Uhud Cemetery 24/7. It is surrounded by a wall with metal bars, through which visitors may look. Some visitors start with performing prayer in Sayyid al-Shuhada Mosque and then climb Archers' Hill, from which they can have a better view of the square and the cemetery.

This place reminds you of the greatness of Allah ﷻ and the unseen realities of this world. It makes you reflect on how vast creation is and how limited human understanding can be. Truly, Wadi-e-Jinn is a place where one feels humbled, reminded of the unseen (ghayb), and connected to the power of the Creator. Every moment spent there was not just a sight of nature’s wonder, but also a reminder that the universe is filled with signs (ayat) that point towards Allah’s majesty and wisdom.

My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn was an incredible and magical experience. Watching our car defy gravity and roll uphill on its own was something I'll never forget. It was a truly happy and unforgettable part of our trip to Madina.

Anti gravity flow and drive was a unique experience. My Kids enjoyed it a lot, an exciting place with a very high gravity force. Hence, the car is traveling at high speed in neutral without starting the engine. Masha Allah, we are amazed during this trip
