One of the most unique places you'll visit in Israel. There are many beautiful along the lake and campsites.

Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm. It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth. Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.

An amazing place to see with my own eyes. I read all about this place and Jesus' ministry here. I also enjoyed sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Luckily, it was a calm and beautiful day.

The Sea of Galilee is one of my favorite spots in Israel. This is a spot where you really feel the presence of Jesus.

This is one of my best experiences in Israel, you will be enthuse and captivated if you ever visit this area, especially if you’re of the Christian faith. Take a tour one day and go experience a little of history.

"Cruise on the Sea of Galilee"‎ Went on a sruise on Sea Of Galilee. At the jetty came across a novel feature. It is a floating bridge jetty. To board the boats safely and comfortably, Its height can either be lowered or raises depending the level of the sea of Galilee Boarded Cruise boat Noah. As soon as we left the jetty. Indian national flag was brought to be hoisted on the Boat mast. I was given the honour to hoist. The whole group, spontaneously started singing National Anthem. Everyone felt elated and happy. I thought a very nice business idea to set the mood of tourists well disposed towards the cruise company. Returned after about an hour's cruise. During the cruise there was loud music from Indian movies people were dancing and enjoying noisily and thoroughly. Hardly anyone looked out at the scenery nor enjoyed the calm and serene atmosphere on the waters of sea of Galilee, Felt sad at missed opportunity.

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭. We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

This is a special place. The historical significance is enough, but the landscape is also beautiful. The gift shop is rather extensive, with plenty of trinkets and T-shirts and an entire room of Dead Sea lotions and cosmetics. They also have drinks and chocolate.

If you're going in Spring/Summer get there early so the heat isn't that much and the tours aren't crowding the place. It's a very small museum with a small archeological site, but the hike (green trail) has very beautiful scenery and is not so difficult. Getting there on public transport is also quite easy, just take a bus from Jerusalem and you'll be there in 40-50 minutes. Although this is the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found, you will not see them here, you need to go to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem for that, where the exhibition is truly amazing.

Really cool and easy to get to on your way to the Dead Sea. The movie at the beginning is little cheesy and I was hoping there was more to learn about the Dead Sea Scrolls themselves, but you can find that at the Israel Museum. Nonetheless, the archeological site is quite amazing and the the whole area is breathtaking. Definitely worth seeing as nd should only be about 45 mins to an hour.

This is where the Dead Sea manuscripts were found, proving that the contents of today's Bible can be verified. Here are the ruins of houses and cities of the Essenes. We can explore this place both through short and long routes. There are also the famous Dead Sea caves. This place has a museum that explains the activities of the Essenes. Dan has a very complete shop, selling souvenirs and typical promised land products, deadsea minerals, cosmetics, spices, jewelry, etc.

Historical site, interesting, the place is very neat and clear. There is an option for voice assistance in different languages. The tour begins with a short video that explains life in the place at that time, and then goes out to the area. If the weather is comfortable, you can climb to the cliff and see the cave itself, as well as an amazing view.(Get plenty of water with you). Beware of the souvenir shop, prices are simply an outrage!!

Beautiful historical site where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered on the same day that Israel was recognized as a nation. Worth the visit. Be careful with the gift shop, watch the price’s because there are similar items for half the price if you look closely.

This place was breathtaking. The vastness was like no other place I've seen. Although there's not much to look at, it's still really cool to see where they found the dead sea scrolls. If you visit, remember to bring lots of water and sunscreen because it is hot! Due to it being the lowest point on earth, which is also pretty cool.

Part of the Roman theater of Amman. I filmed here numerous times. I always enjoy the acoustics. The government needs to do more to boost this place and bring in more tourists.

The Odeon Theater or the Winter Theater is a small Roman amphitheater located in the center of the Jordanian capital, Amman, where the Great Roman Amphitheater is also located. It was built in the second century AD, before the construction of the Great Amphitheater, to accommodate about 500 spectators. The Odeon Theater was mainly used for musical performances. Archaeologists believe it may have been roofed with a wooden roof or temporary tent to protect the audience and performers from the weather. It is believed that the severe earthquake that struck the city of Amman and the regions of the Levant in 1927 was the main reason for the demolition of a large part of it, especially its high facade. The amphitheater and the surrounding area in the Hashemite Square have recently been restored, where concerts and poetry seminars are held today.

The Odeon is a small 500-seat theatre. Not to be confused with the large Roman Theatre that stands right next to it, on the southern side of the Hashemite Plaza, while the Odeon stands on the east side of the Plaza. Very nice, tidy and clean old ruins, that is kept in good shape.

Right next to the Roman theatre and a great deal smaller! Thought it wasn’t included in the Jordan Pass but the guard asked and we said we had it and got in for free. It’s a lot quieter than the Roman theatre - come here if you are avoiding the ruckus and keen on admiring the ancient Roman architecture.

This is like a compact version of the big Roman Theater next to it. But, it seems to be in better condition (restored?) and feels more welcoming. There are some funky acoustics if you stand at the center of the arena.

Most happening place in Amman... a street full of cafes, restaurants and art shops etc... a stroll around this street during the evenings are the best time pass while in Amman...

It may have been good. The old picture looked nice, it's nothing like it anymore, total waste of time, don't waste your time going to Rainbow Street.

A worthwhile destination if you’re looking for a little vibrancy in an otherwise monotone city. It’s not earth shattering, but has lots of little shops, bars, restaurants and liquor store. Time well spent.

Spent an afternoon on Rainbow Street and it was such a fun experience! The street is full of unique shops, cozy cafés, and great restaurants, making it the perfect place to wander, eat, and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you’re browsing or just people-watching, it has a lively, welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Amman.

Had heard a lot about it, but honestly found it a bit overrated. It’s a pleasant place for a walk, with a decent selection of shops and restaurants along the way. I did manage to pick up some nice souvenirs, which was a highlight. Overall, it’s a nicer and more relaxed experience compared to the busy city center, but not quite as impressive as I expected.

Our visit was on day 1 of Jordan pass, quite cumbersome. Rest of the experience was great, thanks to our guide giving in depth details of multiple era of transition this site has witnessed. There is a small museum having locally recovered treasure, and it’s one the best range of museums articles to experience right at the place of its recovery.

The informational signs are excellent, but a guide can also bring the stories to life with more detailed historical context.

The view from the top is absolutely stunning you can see all of Amman spread out below, a blend of old and new. There’s also a small but fascinating museum at the Citadel that holds artifacts dating back to prehistoric times. If you love history, culture, or just a good sunset view, this place is a must-visit.

The Amman Citadel is such a beautiful and historic place to visit. The ancient ruins are truly impressive, and the views overlooking the city are breathtaking. The area is well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A must-see spot when visiting Amman!

Amman Citadel is an Archiological site which has ruins from various civilizations. The site has a long history and many historical landmarks, dating back from bronze age (1200 BCE), to Roman period, Byzantine period and Umayyaad period (661-750 CE) are there. The site was mostly abandoned afterwards until the late 19th century. The site is mostly in ruins now, but very interesting to visit it. Every important part is explained in boards in English and Arabic. The Jordan Archaeological Museum was on the Citadel hill has many beautiful collection of artifacts from all periods of history. Citadel is the most important part of Amman, must visit place.

Nice to walk around and have a look. The cafe was nice to sit down afterwards. But the people inside trying to sell things or try to trick you by insisting on guiding you or tell you «fun facts» then following you and asking for money ruins the mood abit.

Fntastic experience. I strongly recoment going from the bottom to the top using, not the road, but the stairs. It will give you the opportunity to visit the valley of the kings. At the bottom of the valley, and then to duscover amzing views of old Jeruslem, the wall, the valley, and the miriad of tumbs, step by step. Better if you start your visit at 15:30 or 16:00 so that you can appreciate the sunset from the top.

Such an amazing spot to visit. The views over Jerusalem from the top are incredible. The hike up is steep and takes some time, but is definitely worth it. The views are especially amazing during sunset.

The Mount of Olives, just east of Jerusalem’s Old City, offers one of the most iconic views of the city. From its slopes, you can see the ancient walls, the Dome of the Rock, and the full sweep of Jerusalem’s layered past. Beyond the view, the Mount is rich in history and culture. It’s been a burial site for over 3,000 years and holds deep significance in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions. Landmarks like the ancient Jewish cemetery, the Garden of Gethsemane, and several historic churches reflect the area’s central role in the story of Jerusalem. Even for non-religious visitors, walking among the olive trees and centuries-old paths is a powerful experience. The mix of quiet, history, and panoramic beauty makes it one of the city’s most memorable spots. ***Visit early or late in the day for softer light and fewer crowds.

From here you can oversee the entire city of Jerusalem. It's a beautiful spot to be. This view is just incredible and to see the historic places from above is really special. You won't regret it to come to this Place. It has a lot to offer.

The best spot to see the old Jerusalem. The sunset view is amazing. The old jerusalem Panorama is breathtaking. It's a must place to visit. The Church of Ascension is also located here.

This is where you get the iconic photo of old city Jerusalem. It is in walking distance from old city, just exit from lion gate and walk up the hill. Taxi will cost you about 10 usd but since it is about a half an hour walk I recommend walking. There is also a viewing area specifically for taking the photos

Amazing place to see the Old City from a high point of view. It is really wonderful to see the sunset as the lights start to come on, something which I could call magical. Getting here can be a bit confusing and tiring in the summer, but it's completely worth it.

Nice place, impressive view. Can get there by cabin car, 80 Nis. Our taxi driver took us there for 100 Nis(4 people, 25 Nis each), or you can walk up there. Guess it can take 20-30min. Make shure yoh have apropriate dress. No shorts! We were not admited to enter...🤥

Just perfect! Great vibes, nice view. You can get there with the cable car. It is the best option. With the personal drivers it is so expensive. The cable car is a very nice experience, you have good views on the way, it does not take long time and it was not expensive.

One of the oldest churches in the world. You should come and visit it when you come to Jericho.

Worth the trek up the hill and steps to fully appreciate the magnificence of this monastery built into the cliff face.

This mountain is on the way from Israel to Egypt. Nearby souvenir shops and supermarkets await visitors.

You can hike it but it will be extremely hard. The best is to park and see it from far away.

I have never visited a park that was so mistreated. No water where there should have been water, derailed trains, weeds growing everywhere and buildings looked like Chernobyl ghost town apart from figures thrown around from the nuclear blast that looked to have hit this park. Great place. Very interesting for children. Takes about 1 and half hour to look at all, if you stay next to each model and hears explanations, maybe you will be there for 1 more hour. Upset a little bit because of very old car and train models, everything of the was crushed and no working, like moving from place to place. Could be better! IT'S nice but the miniature trains and cars don't work There is no trail or route to follow so I kept on coming back to where started And quite expensive But overall it was pretty nice and enjoyable

I recently revisited Mini Israel after a few years and was truly taken aback by the significant decline in quality and overall experience. What once stood as an impressive representation of iconic landmarks now stands as a shadow of its former self. One of the most disheartening aspects was the evident wear and tear on numerous monuments. Many structures have aged poorly, showing signs of neglect with damaged facades, fallen or missing elements, and non-functioning animations that were once interactive highlights. These faulty displays left a jarring impression on what was meant to be an immersive experience. Surprisingly, the Christian buildings seemed to be well-maintained, displaying a stark contrast to the rest of the attraction. The towering and magnificent Azrieli towers and prominent airline brand displays showcased a degree of investment that was sorely lacking in other sections. The absence of attention to renowned establishments like Tnuva, an emblematic brand in Israel, raises questions about commitment to restoration. Notably, key features seemed to be missing altogether. The absence of the Jerusalem rope bridge, the lack of activity at the Western Wall (Kotel), and the omission of some significant monuments left the representation incomplete. This was particularly disappointing as monuments like Yitzhak Rabin Square, Shimon Peres Peace Centers, and boulevards dedicated to Golda Meir and Menachem Begin hold cultural significance and would be valuable to showcase to future generations. Beyond the structural disappointments, the overall visitor experience was hampered by numerous factors. The scorching heat was made worse by a lack of misters, shaded areas, and seating. Additionally, the continuous blaring announcements over the loudspeakers, recurring every 15 minutes, further disrupted any potential enjoyment. These distractions made it challenging to immerse oneself in the experience and absorb the details of the attractions. Moreover, the steep entrance fee of 86 shekels per person (before any discounts) only adds to the disappointment. With such a price tag, one would expect a commensurate level of quality, which unfortunately was not the case during my visit. The juxtaposition of the high cost and subpar experience makes it difficult to recommend this activity to others. In conclusion, my recent visit to Mini Israel left me deeply disheartened by the deteriorated quality and unpleasant experience. While some positive additions like VR headsets and the 3rd Beit Hamikdash in air-conditioned tents were noted, they were overshadowed by the overall state of the attraction. It's my sincere hope that Mini Israel will take these criticisms constructively and strive to restore the attraction to its former glory, ensuring a memorable and worthwhile experience for all visitors.

Super cool place to visit! Probably not the best among the miniatures parks I saw but certainly decent and gives good representation of various important tourist sights in Israel. Because the map of Israel is very narrow and long they couldn't really do it based on the map, but divided regions differently and it's a bit confusing. Nice but I'd say it is overpriced. Tip: not enough shade in summer, make sure you have a hat or maybe even umbrella.

The park was really nice, the monuments got a bit ruined because of the sun ☀ but it's still enjoyable to watch. Some objects are moving, like cars and walking people. We enjoyed it as adults but it is mostly suitable for kids.

It is for kids. I think the entrance fee is a bit too high. Perhaps I was expecting too much, there is literally just one thing that you can okay which is the boat. The maintenance and cleanliness is acceptable. I only stayed for 30 min then moved on. It could be a great stop by if you're driving between Jericho and Tel Aviv. Treat it as a service station!

I've been to Beit She'an three different times on three different trips to Israel, usually in the late afternoon. It was very interesting, especially from the top of the hill, but also very hot, even with the strong wind that always seems to be blowing. The park is bigger than it looks so I would recommend carrying lots of water, more than you think you would normally need. The last time I was there they had installed beautiful stainless steel cold water drinking fountains in a few spots which I thought was just amazing.

Extraordinary Roman town, with middle east largest theater. If you come during the summer, bring plenty water, this place is hoter than Kuwait. Plan no less than 3 hrs to see most of the site, bring a hat beside water, there are water coolers on site at the entrance mainly

Nice spot to see some ancient history! It was great to be able to see what a city would have looked like. If you do stop in be sure to check out the Egyptian ruins at the top of the hill overlooking the entire city. Lots of remains of ancient ruins like the colosseum, public sanitary, the theater, the city etc, etc. The architecture is amazing and what’s left of the buildings tell an amazing story about its greatness. Extremely good Roman archeological site….for its shape and all well preserved ruins (many mosaics, good theater,….) it is absolutely at the level of Rome forums

Beit She'an's history spans millennia, beginning in the Chalcolithic period and featuring over 20 layers of settlement on its ancient tell. It was a significant site for the Canaanites, Egyptians, Israelites, Philistines (where King Saul's body was displayed), and Hellenistic Greeks, who renamed it Scythopolis. The city flourished under the Romans and Byzantines as a provincial capital but declined after a devastating earthquake in 749 AD, leaving behind extensive ruins of its Roman past. The work done here is first class, the ancient columns has been stood up again and the amphitheatre has been rebuilt. The explanation signage is excellent

Now this place was it! Back in the day!!! Theres a latrine with marble seats for your 🍑 and marble floor for your feet! It's very clear it was a hot spot for trade and for entertainment!!! Unlike the town on the hill right next to it....the short hike up is completely worth the view! Go here if in Israel!

Stunning remains of over 20 layers of civilization. Most notable are the recent Roman ruins. One can picture chariots heading up and down the main street. The 7000 seat theater is mostly standing and the original public bathrooms are nearby, what a gas! There is an entrance plaza, a large bathhouse, streets, shops, a bridge, a ritual compound and more. An earthquake in 749 shook the Roman temple and the huge columns fell. They still lay there and it's hard to imagine that this is all real and not replicas. Amazing experience.

Caesarea Philippi was a Roman and we're pagan ceremonies to the god pan were performed. Jesus visited it this site , it has become an important Christian pilgrimage destination. And where Jesus states: I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Hello) Yes, we really enjoyed our visit to you. It's hard to single out what we remember most because everything is amazing. The greenhouse with orchids is incredible, the store at the entrance also fits in great. Lots of photos from the petting zoo with parrots. The only thing I would like to recommend improving is the central fountain. Where the lake is. Unfortunately, it visually spoils the whole picture of the park. Everything around is blooming and smelling, you admire this magnificence. And in the very center there is dirty and blooming water and rusty iron structures on the fountain. I would recommend painting the metal of the fountain and raising the water level in the lake. In addition, it would be possible to make a small garden on the lake, for example, by planting a blooming lotus 🪷 or a water lily, but not reeds. And improve the water filtration. In this case, the water in the lake would become crystal clear and the garden would be 200% beautiful, not 100%. We are very pleased, thank you

Great place to take kids and enjoy nature! A bit pricey, but you do get a nice experience and as expected with costs in Israel. Certainly worth visiting at least once!

The most tender and unique impressions. We were here 9 years ago. And it was very nice to visit the park again. Words cannot convey anything - come!

So arrived 75 mins before closing and admittedly we didn’t check the entrance prices , crazy that a family of five has to pay the full price to gain access so late in the day and what’s more they have a 1+1 deal on Amex but you have to have the physical card won’t let you pay using the digital card. So just two of us went in the other 3 waited in the coffee shop. Need to have some sort of scheme for late visitors and sort out the Amex pay using the app like every other establishment . 400 shekels for an hours entertainment is expensive even for Israel.

Lucky for us we arrived very early on a weekday, and it was a great decision! Free parking, close to the entrance. The staff was nice and welcoming. It’s nice to go through the Garden and see all of the beautiful plants and trees, you can actually buy almost any flower or plant you see inside. The place is very clean and organized. I would skip the “water show”, seems like it didn’t had maintenance in a while and most of it doesn’t really work...

It's a must see for Christians and general public. However it is isolated in the middle of Nazareth which is currently suffering from bad management and disfunctual city services. Hopefully the city will improve and this beautiful site will shine again. Don't forget to bring something to cover the shoulders as respect to the holy site.

In my opinion, one of the most impressive and amazing churches in the world. The visit to the Church of the Annunciation is powerful and interesting, the structure is amazing. The church was established at the site where, according to one tradition, the Annunciation took place. The church has a variety of works of art in different styles from all over the world.

Beautiful, amazing, spiritual and peaceful place! As a Catholic being able to visit the place where The annunciation happened to the Virgin Mary was a simply wonderful and religious experience. The church is beautiful, on the exterior you can see images of the Virgin Mary for all different countries, worth to enjoy each one of them.

One can light up an electric candle 🕯in this church - I really liked this idea as I believe that it is more friendly to the environment. Another thing that I liked is an alley with the paintings and mosaics to the church from all over the world 🌎 One can find donations from the South America, India, and my homeland Ukraine 🇺🇦 It feels really good to find things related to your country when you are that far from it, especially when your country is under attack from the terrorist russian state. If you plan your visit in advance, I also recommend to bring coins and cash for the donations to support the church.

Basilica of the Annunciation Nazareth, also known as The Catholic Church of the Annunciation, is the most impressive and spectacular site in the city and is considered to be one of the most holy churches for Christianity. Basilica of the Annunciation an outstanding building in the center of town, is built where it’s believed the house the Virgin Mary was. On the lower level is the most holy place – Mary’s cave, the cave in which, according to the Catholic-Christian tradition, Mary was visited by Archangel Gabriel and told her she is destined to carry Jesus in her womb.

a very special place with unique story. the church itself quite new and was built upon the ruins of the origins of st. mary...many illustrations from around the world were sent here for display and you sense that this is a piece of history. there is no entrance fee and many pilgrims come here for spiritual charging.

The most impressive church I’ve ever seen. It is modern, huge, tho it still preserve the old trails from Jesus’s time. Also, in the church’s yard, there are icons from all around the world, and it’s interesting to see different cultures picturing the holy family in their own way. You can visit the church for free, there is no fee.

The rooftop provides a good view to Nazareth. Worth the visit to get some valuable historical insights on Nazareth as well.

Been there saw it from outside. Very close to the nazereth old market. Looks like an impressing house. Next time we'll come in the open hr's to visit.

I visited the center awhile back and wanted to write a review to encourage others to visit. An excellent multimedia biblical movie, a stunning presentation. Visiting the center was absolutely worthwhile (which is opposite the Basilica of the Annunciation of Mary). A very informative and beautiful experience. A must see!

A must visit place for tourists here in Nazareth. It's just right across the street to the Church Of The Annunciation. I'd recommend everyone to watch all 04 (15 minutes each) video clips in 04 different theaters before walking all the way up to the top level where you'll have a wonderful view of Nazareth from the above.

The Maria story is a must see, astonishing multimedia experience and powerful message.

The chapel is beautiful, and the people are too. Come for a coffee, quiet prayer, or an informative tour/multimedia show about the life of Mary of Nazareth. One of my favorite places in all of Nazareth.

The French community of the "Chemin Neuf" (New Way) takes care of the site built on ruins of a 1st century house, the neighbors of the Holy Family? offering a multimedia show on the life of Mary of Nazareth. A beautiful chapel sits on the roof top of the building facing the basilica of the annunciation. On the premessis a small artisanal shop & a Caffè (possible to book a meal in advance).

One of the most unique places you'll visit in Israel. There are many beautiful along the lake and campsites.

Sea of Galilee aka Lake Tiberias. Is the famous lake where JESUS walked on it and also calmed the storm. It’s also the lowest fresh water lake on earth. Peaceful lake indeed and breeze was so cool.

An amazing place to see with my own eyes. I read all about this place and Jesus' ministry here. I also enjoyed sailing on the Sea of Galilee. Luckily, it was a calm and beautiful day.

The Sea of Galilee is one of my favorite spots in Israel. This is a spot where you really feel the presence of Jesus.

This is one of my best experiences in Israel, you will be enthuse and captivated if you ever visit this area, especially if you’re of the Christian faith. Take a tour one day and go experience a little of history.

"Cruise on the Sea of Galilee"‎ Went on a sruise on Sea Of Galilee. At the jetty came across a novel feature. It is a floating bridge jetty. To board the boats safely and comfortably, Its height can either be lowered or raises depending the level of the sea of Galilee Boarded Cruise boat Noah. As soon as we left the jetty. Indian national flag was brought to be hoisted on the Boat mast. I was given the honour to hoist. The whole group, spontaneously started singing National Anthem. Everyone felt elated and happy. I thought a very nice business idea to set the mood of tourists well disposed towards the cruise company. Returned after about an hour's cruise. During the cruise there was loud music from Indian movies people were dancing and enjoying noisily and thoroughly. Hardly anyone looked out at the scenery nor enjoyed the calm and serene atmosphere on the waters of sea of Galilee, Felt sad at missed opportunity.

We're a group of pilgrims from the Philippines🇵🇭. We're happy to have experienced sailing on a wooden boat across the Sea of Galilee. A good and unforgettable experience for all of us. The skipper even taught us some dance steps while sailing. After the boat ride, all of us were given a certificate that we had survived the trip. It's one for the books. It's a good thing the weather cooperated with us, so sailing was a breeze.

Very interesting to learn how they discovered these ruins. The entrance fee is very cheap and they assign you a volunteer that gives you a tour either long or short depending on your time and it’s included with the entrance fee. I’m really happy to have insisted to come here.

It’s always a grace to come to these places and this one is especially precious as there has been so much invested into the archeological sight as well as into the new buildings. The church is especially stunning and build and created in stunning art and excellence. It is absolutely worth it going there and seeing and experiencing it first hand!

A very large spread out site on the sea of Galilee. Lots to see and learn. There is a local church body that also meets on the site and we met some people speaking in teaching so cool stories that helps bring available to life in a new way.

Second time I visited! This time, the mosaics, the painting of the woman touching the fringe of Jesus’ garment, the sculptures and the view from the chapel over the Sea of Galilee really hit home! I will be back for sure!

Fascinating place of archaeology, of a synagogue dated to the first century ac. Very good restoration and preservation of the building and it's surroundings. All people who have an interest in the history of this area, where Jesus and his disciples walked around will enjoy this site.

Amazing place, considering the five stars but need to wait until construction is complete to get a full picture of the place. So much information to take place and such an important place, especially in this day and age, to truly recognise and commemorate the amazing woman of The Bible! The lady who seems to run the church was so relaxed, we had a fantastic chat with her and she is full of information and made the experience truely amazing! We learnt so much about the woman of The Bible and how many go unnoticed and somewhat unappreciated. The church was amazing, full with so much artwork mainly by woman, but also an amazing portrait by a male about the miracle that took place when the old woman touched Jesus' feet.

A must visit in Damascus. For women, make sure to bring your own Abaya to wear before entering and praying at the mosque.

So much history and beautiful architecture. Was not busy when I visited. I could walk around and enjoy the art.

This is such a different, beautiful mosque with a long history - a mix of Persian and Ottoman detailing, so quite different from the blue ceramic tiling you see in other mosques. The courtyard and minaret are breathtaking. The inside is very spacious as well and can accommodate lots of visitors and prayers. Females are given brown cloaks to wear.

Went in April, no Flamingo. Learned from the local that they only come to salt lake between Nov and Mar. If you go in other months, the lake view is still enjoyable, just no need to feel disappointed or not seeing any bird.

Beautiful lake, flamingos can be seen only in the cold season. Visited in November and the water looked like a mirror, with lots of flamingos. Definitely worth visiting. Do not walk off the path, it'll startle the birds. There are 2 observation decks at the lake. You can get there with public transport.

Larnaca Salt Lake fills with water during the winter and dries up in the summer to reveal a salt crust. This natural cycle attracts large flocks of migratory birds. Thousands of flamingos arrive from November to feed on the shrimp that thrive in the salt water.

Pink flamingos 🦩 visit the lake in winter. When I visited in mid November there were 2 big groups. Should bring a good camera to get a good picture. However you can walk around and enjoy the views. Various parking around the lake.

I visited it in November, and there were no birds, no water. Just a mud and salt. Large area covered by mud and salt. The guide said in winter there will be a lot of flamingo and water. It is located near Hala Sultan mosque.

Nice place for a walk alongside the salt lake, where you can watch the flamingos and other water birds. Great view of the Hala Sultan Tekkesi - this place has a ridiculous number of cute cats, it must be their sanctuary. There is several benches throughout the path, ideal to contemplate those magnificent birds.

Great site with well thought out displays of the Neolithic settlement. It's amazing and mind boggling just thinking that people were living here 9000 years ago

Incredible to see what we may have read about. Considering how old the round are, amazing there are some remains visible today. The reconstruction shows what may have existed which is a great visual. You might spend around an hour here max. €2.50 entry. Free parking. Just be mindful google maps will try to take you further up the hill. When you see the coffee shop/carpark this is the entry.

The site is open between 8:30 AM – 5 PM It is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the eastern Mediterranean that added to UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998. Worth visiting.

A very historical site. If you like history then this is a good place to visit. We voted whilst on holiday and would definitely recommend. The staff was polite and site was clean.

Nice place and low entry price. Spent 1 hour here. Could be better if there was a 3D model showing village as it would have looked like originally. Not allowed into village ruins just around the edge along path. WC is available so good for a tiolet stop. Nice reception staff.

An uphill walk to the top of the settlement but well worth the effort. Information boards in Greek and English are available next to several points in the walk.

From an architectural standpoint it’s a very pretty building and the interior is spectacular. I didn’t take any photos as I didn’t know if it was appropriate or not as it is an active church. But the paintings and reliefs inside are quite unique. And the building itself has a great history that’s interesting to learn about as someone who’s not tied to the Christian faith. The surrounding neighborhood is very quaint and has many good shops and restaurants/cafes.

This is amazing Church is a must visit if you are in the area. Beautiful structural architecture on the outside and inside to the amazing things you will see when you enter. If you can try and be covered up because there is a sign outside saying no shorts for men and women should ideally have their hair and shoulders covered but they do have robes for free on the outside to cover just in case you forget. Situated in the church are the most amazing icon pictures all over and the whole church is almost covered in gold. It is a particularly busy church with tourists in and out at all times. When you enter there is a lower two level where Lazarus bones used to be kept before they were moved, but his tomb still remains.

Hearing about this church and seeing some of the photos doesn’t really prepare you for the experience and history you are about to feel walking up to and inside this master of a monument. The outside is stunning, well preserved and sits on a lovely open space. When you enter it is very typical of a Greek church and lovely. Make sure you visit the tombs also under the church.

Beautiful church, very peaceful! We went there around at 1400 and it was closed. Advise to check the opening hours before you go. It opens in afternoon at 1530 but if you are there early, there are few souvenir shops that you can visit, enjoy lunch, take photographs, enough things to keep you occupied.

Visiting the Holy Church of Saint Lazarus was an unforgettable experience. I was deeply touched by the atmosphere and the spiritual energy of this sacred place. Bowing before the relics of Saint Lazarus filled me with peace and gratitude.

The holy church of Saint Lazarus in Larnaca is an old, lovely and holy church. It is a small church but beautiful from outside and inside. You can get inside the tomb as well.

Good beach for kids, nice sand and shallow water. Toilet is free, but shower cost 50cents. Almost no disturbance from people trying to sell you something.

It's a wonderful beach. The location is perfect. There are restaurants, places to stay, and an amusement park nearby. It's a great beach for a family vacation.

An amazing place to see. We had a hire car to get us to the border from Ayia Napa. We asked the information desk to call a taxi. 20 euros to the Ghost town and the driver was really helpful, gave us his card to call him when we was ready to be taken back. Check opening times as it closes around 5. It's so eerie at the same time very sad to see.

This place is an absolute must see - it feels like you are on a movie set, only everything is real. You can easily use 2-3 hours here and still not see everything. You feel the vibe once was and it sometimes catches you as being a bit scary. I for sure wouldn’t like walking alone around here in the dark hours at night. I feel for the thousands of displaced people that lost everything and I wish for them that they one day will be able to return and get back all their properties they lost during the war in 1974.

Lovely place. It's so silent and deserted. Better to get there early before the bubbling tourist troop in.

A really puzzling experience, tbh. You walk in a city that has been completely abandoned 50 years ago, all the buildings are crumbling down, and you feel like you've been teleported in some sort of post-apocaliptic movie, but at the same time you see hundreds of tourists and locals in swimsuits cheerfully swarming in all directions like in any regular touristic area. In all this, every few blocks, some guy in a camo uniform guarding a checkpoint tells you that you cannot enter a certain street because part of the city has been turned into a luxury resort for the Turkish military. Very weird feeling. Interesting, tho.

An amazing place to learn about the history of Cyprus and how it was lost it time of 1970's. Felt very sad too and a little eerie seeing all the empty shops and houses going derelict that were once full of life. You only have access to certain roads and it is mostly fenced of and security guarded, but definitely worth a visit to walk or cycle around. Their was some information boards. No cars allowed. Their is access to a lovely beach at the bottom with cafe and toilets. Access is free

Yesterday we went on a short visit to the city of Famagusta. A main point on the list of sights to visit was the Saint Nicholas Cathedral now called the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque. Like many other historical buildings, it had a turbulent history enduring earthquakes, wars, sieges, passing from the French to the Venetians and the Turks respectively. The building is built in Rayonnant Gothic style, similar to a portion of Notre Dame in Paris The French Lusignan dynasty, who ruled as kings of Cyprus between 1192 and 1489 brought with them the latest French taste in architecture, particularly a number of developments in Gothic architecture. The cathedral was built between 1298 and 1312 and was consecrated in 1328. The Lusignans would be crowned as kings of Cyprus in the Cathedral of St. Sofia (now known as the Selimiye Mosque) in Nicosia and then crowned as kings of Jerusalem in the Cathedral of St. Nicolae Famagusta. Even after about 700-800 years of history, the building has an impressive air due to its size and attracts a lot of visitors. As a historical "contribution", the Turks turned the Christian cathedral into a mosque by removing the Christian symbols, even building a minaret. To visit the (almost empty) interior you must take off your shoes at the entrance. The muezzin can be heard on mute...

Now a mosque, but originally known as the Cathedral of Saint Nicolas, and later Saint Sofia, this was originally a monumental gothic cathedral. It has been remade into a mosque by erecting a minaret, changing the interior layout and by installing a special water fountain to wash your feet before entering the mosque (you must take your shoes off before entering, as per Islamic tradition). Now, I'm an atheist, but it still just doesn't sit right with me to change the character of a building in such a manner, honestly. So, the building is still a sight to behold, certainly, but also, it may make certain people uneasy as well. It certainly did make me uncomfortable...

Built in 1328 in the image and likeness of the Reims Cathedral, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas has been the main church of Cyprus for two and a half centuries. In this cathedral the monarchs of Jerusalem were crowned. In 1571, Cyprus came under the rule of the Ottoman Empire and the cathedral became the Hagia Sophia mosque, to which a minaret was added a little later. Since 1954, the mosque has been named after Lala Mustafa Pasha, the Ottoman commander who conquered Cyprus. Without a doubt, the cathedral (and today the mosque) is an important historical fragment not only of Cyprus, but also of Europe...

The Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque in Famagusta was originally built as the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas by the Lusignan dynasty between 1298 and 1312. It was consecrated in 1328. It stands as a prime example of Rayonnant Gothic architecture, often compared to France’s Reims Cathedral. After the Ottoman conquest in 1571, it was converted into a mosque and renamed the “Ayasofya (Hagia Sofia) Mosque of Mağusa. In 1954, it was renamed the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque to honor the Ottoman general who led the siege. The building remains an iconic blend of medieval Christian and Islamic heritage.

Nice square and church. There is a nice old tree to the side as well. You can have a look inside.

Beautiful and well maintained place with kind and helpful monks and staff. Herbs and flowers are very high quality and beautiful, not to mention that the on-site shop offers a huge variety of products, produced by monks. Oils, teas and tinctures are high quality. The church is beautifully maintained and open to the public without any fee, this is rare in Europe. Unfortunately pictures are not allowed inside the monastery but that is the magic of the place. Mountain roads are well maintained and but dangerous regardless.

I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Machairas Monastery is not just an old church in the mountains — it’s a place where something shifts inside you. As soon as I walked in, I felt like time stopped. Suddenly, I started crying — without any clear reason. No words, just silent tears. It was a deep, pure emotion I couldn’t explain. There’s a powerful stillness here. Real monks, ancient icons, and the sense that you’re touching something sacred. The small shop offers oils, herbs, candles, icons, and prayers — many of them with healing or spiritual qualities. This place stays with you. You just want to be quiet, listen, and be grateful.

The Monastery is a piece of heaven. The place is very calm and quiet. I did not stay too much as this is a place to pray and I did not want to disturb the monks. This is the place to stay a couple of days if possible to rebuild the connection with God.

A beautiful Orthodox monastery nestled in the mountains. Men in shorts are given a robe to cover up. Only the church (a glorious sanctuary full of reverence and splendour) and the gift shop are accessible. No photos allowed in the church area. The shop sells icons, literature, honey, jewellery, Greek literature and more.

The Holy Monastery of Panagia Machaira is one of Cyprus’s most significant and picturesque monastic sites, nestled in the lush Troodos Mountains near the village of Lazanias. It’s a beautiful Orthodox monastery tucked away in the mountains. If you’re a guy wearing shorts, they’ll give you a robe to cover up. You can only go into the church — which is stunning and full of reverence — and the gift shop. No photos are allowed inside the church. The shop has icons, books, honey, jewelry, Greek literature, and a bunch of other interesting things.

It was a lovely 1 hour drive from Nicosia. The drive through the winding, twisty road through the Machairas Mountains was breath taking. Its Spring time & all the terraced fields were shades of green. The almond trees were starting to burst in to flower. The air was crisp & fresh. We arrived at the Monastery just before the start of Orthodox Lent. The monks were preparing the Church and grounds. You can feel the sacredness of this place. Full of peace, calm, beauty & sanctity.

Had a really nice stay with my family and the service was amazing. The staff were so attentive and kind. They were helpful at meal times with our baby and always made an effort to talk to her and engage with her. The hotel is huge and there is good entertainment. There were plenty of bars and a lovely cafe. Soft play and games room for kids. I feel it is more of a 4* resort and that’s fine but I don’t think it’s quite 5*. Having said that we would absolutely stay again.

Rested in July 2025. Very satisfied. Very large selection of food, in the dining room there are many waiters who bring everything, clean it. The dining room has a beautiful view of the sea, close to the sea. Good service in the bar. The beach is beautiful, there are free sunbeds, always cleaned. There is security on the beach. The sea is very clean and warm. Temperature +35. There are also 2 large pools and 6 bars on the hotel territory.

Every evening featured high-quality entertainment: themed shows, live music, and lively parties. There was always something to enjoy, and the atmosphere was vibrant and engaging. The food was outstanding – a wide variety of fresh, delicious options including royal shrimp, octopus, sushi, and various types of meat. Each dinner had a different theme (Mexican, Chinese, Italian, etc.), which kept things exciting and flavorful throughout the stay. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff was professional, helpful, and always friendly. The weather was also surprisingly comfortable for July – warm, but not overwhelmingly hot. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-rounded, relaxing, and high-quality vacation.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. It's a well organised hotel, plenty of food, and a massive selection of different dishes to choose from in any of the multiple restaurants. There were very well shocked bars to get a drink from. We strolled up the pier one evening and stumbled across a disco with late evening entertainment with a massive tray of shots... and another bar. All of the staff were very polite and friendly. The pools were kept very clean. There was a splash pool with large slides and lifeguards to keep everyone safe. We will go back next year.

I had an amazing stay at Salamis Bay Conti Hotel! The location is absolutely perfect - right by the beach with stunning sea views and easy access to everything you need. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with all the amenities you'd expect from a 5- star hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also a highlight – delicious and with a great variety at every meal. The pool area and beach are beautiful and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax. Overall, this hotel really exceeded my expectations and made my trip unforgettable. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area

Clean hotel, friendly staff, delicious food. The furniture is not very luxurious, and the hotel is not brand new; but it feels like an authentic, familiar place. The sea is sandy, which makes swimming very enjoyable.

Nature is spectacular and the water is soo refreshing. The place is nice, my experience with the restaurants there was not good at all, but the place is amazing

It might be a very nice place to see but the scene yaş been blocked and turnet to a mess by the cafe's and restaurants which are very worse, untidy and the roads are very bad and dusty. I thing the whole area should be taken under the control by the Government, Ministry of Tourism and the Municipality, otherwise and at the present state, it is shame of municipality.

Amazing place, the food and Nargila is not that good there, you can have a table in the cold water, near the water falls and enjoy the nature, there is also a small market were you can buy some good gifts , the place there is full of cars especially in the weekends you give your car to someone to park it for you and then continue walking to the cafes. Most of the cafes there serve wine and raki. The prices is fair.

It was surely an amazing piece of nature but the waterfall ways were filled with mass of concrete and dozens of restaurants and vendors are now sorounding the water. Some restaurants placed their tables right into the water so you can cool yourself both drinking and having your feet in icy water. The overall concept is kinda vulgar, the trash around isnt being collected properly so you dont want to walk away from the main routes. The decoration of some places is quite absurd... combining everything... Anyway it was a nice walk and we cooled ourselves after superhot Antakya.

One amazing spot which should not be missed. The fact, you can take off your shoes step into fresh water and enjoy delicious food, this place is amazing for ending the day.

Claimed to be first cave church. Interesting to visit but not worth the fee of 8 eur.

If you were expecting something incredible - you will be disappointed. If you were expecting something epic - this is not about this place. This is one of the places where Christianity was born, just a cave in the rock where Peter preached, just a place, beautiful in its own way, but these are definitely not the great churches of the Middle Ages. This is a greater place, one of which Christianity began.

This place, although is small, should be visited for the historical value that it has. As the first church in the world, and another historical site in a city that dates back to the first civilised city-states of the world. It is better to have the museum card as it gives access to all museums and historical sites of Turkey for 1 year.

The church is a small hall in the mountain. You need to know a bit of history and significance of the place to enjoy the atmosphere, have a look at the city view and tolerate the groups of religious tourists ( not to mention a rather expensive entry fee) Take your time to go around the church (opposite direction of the main entrance). You shall find an amazing number of tunnels dug in the mountains and the figure carved into the mountain. Unfortunately, the path is not marked and cleaned, but it is definitely part of the amazing history where people had to prepare escape ways to flee religious persecution.

Easily accessible and worth a visit, but only if you're passing as there is not a great deal to see. Do not miss the Hatay archaeological museum and the Hotel museum, they are a must visit!!

Very nice museum. It has the biggest Mosaic collection in the world. Plan to spend at least 2.5 to 3 hours. It has a nice cafe to relax inside the museum as you exit. Parking was an issue for us. Besides the amazing mosaics spend some time at th sarcofagus section.

I couldn't imagine the amount of historical and archiological findings in this area. The museum was a trip to the history of the rigion. Amazing collection pf mosaic and marble sculptures. It is a must to see for Hatay visitors. Update: more sections are opened, and more mosaic is in display.

One of the great museums you can ever visit, huge and divers collection. Can't be missed if you in Antakya visting it is a must. However, it needs minimum two hours so make sure you have enough time when you go there.

An excellent museum with displays relating to all historic times. The collection of mosaics are incredible and there are some very well preserved sarcophagus. Well worth a detour to visit, also do not miss the the Hotel museum

One of the very most important museum in Turkey. It represent the life of the caveman and the life of the mythological histories.. There are lots of articles and objects belong to that lifetime and history. Make sure you hear all the history of the items. Dont miss it.. Also dont miss the "live your life" Mosaic..

The museum was moved last year to here. Previous place of this museum was in city centre but not big enough but new place is more bigger but far from city centre. I love the chronological path in the museum first path starts with cage life of humans and ends with modern day. Mosaics are well preserved and mosaics were like photographs. The only disadvantage of this path I couldn't find path milestones as described it was complex for me to understand how designated path goes. I started area 1 and I found myself at area 13 after 30 minutes but I think that was my fault that's why I give 5 star. When you see 480p resolution mosaics you understand why I gave star.

An impressive museum with a variety of exhibits about the area's very old history. I have been to many museums in Europe and this one could easily be in one of its capitals. The finds from the Hittite period are particularly impressive, as is the quality and massiveness of the mosaics from the Roman period. Worth it!

A beautiful ruins to look around. We did a tour which we found informative whilst walking around and appreciating the architecture of the building and ground. Finish off our visit with a fresh cold drink at the cafe by the entrance. 8 minute walk uphill from the car park where our coach dropped us off.

Worth a visit for sure. Parking may be tricky but great gothic half ruined architecture. The mountain backdrop makes for a dramatic scene. You can see everything in about half an hour

The ruins of a former monastery. They still house a small church. All in all, nothing "wow"... The area is beautiful, clean, full of greenery and flowers. In addition, from the monastery courtyard you have a very beautiful panorama, with the sea and Kyrenia visible in the distance. There is also a restaurant, adjacent to the monastery.

Bit different from the normal ruins. The restaurant, bar and cafe is attached to the abbey so I felt a bit strange but it's a popular place for locals because of that. Therefore there is shuttle bus service, 30 TL for a single ticket, very easy access and a nice view. There are nice hotels and restaurants. You can take a bus from a big parking space. There's some signboards there.

Walking around Ballapais monetary, there was no audio guide or tour guide available to purchase on the day. You just walk around yourself. Tickets are available to purchase on the day and parking was available. A few of cafes and restaurants near by to enjoy afterwards.

It's amazing place to visit around Girne. It has great architecture and nice place for photography.

Beautiful gardens and the architecture was stunning. The children loved the flowers. Such a peaceful place. Definitely do not miss!

I've been once before as a teen and brought my partner with me this time. We enjoyed it very much! The walk up is very long and tiring, definitely take a breather now and then when climbing up the stairs to get to the peak. Beautiful views and well preserved. Only downside is that the Turkish Army closed it down early the day we went for something so we did rush a little.

Beautiful place. Shame that people don’t respect the no smoking and no littering signs. Also be wary of cafe .. asked for a Turkish coffee as had just seen them make one .. only to be told no.. only coffee available is from the espresso machine at €3 a cup. On leaving saw more customers having Turkish coffee.. definitely feel like it was a ‘tourist tax’ .. ..so be warned 😡

We got in just nefore 3pm and we're told to get down to the ticket office by 4pm. Tho on the outside signboard it says last entray 4.30pm That's apparently not the case today. This seems to do with it being part of the military base So changes to opening time can occur at anytime without notice. The view was really pretty we first went to john's church/chapel then we went to the peak 734m above sea level. The walk up there was not hard. I'd rate it medium difficulty tops. The road is a bit uneven and can be slippery after rains So make sure you wear proper shoes for that. We got to the top around 3.35 So 30-35min is enough for a person who is moderately fit to get up and we got down just before 4pm. Made a few other stops to see the beautiful queens' window too. We didn't visit the cistern next to the beautiful Windows unfortunately as we ran out of time. I think 1.5-2hrs is probably good for here. 1hr is a bit short. There doesn't seem to be public transport here whatsoever. We got a taxi up there and when to the monastery then back to town for 70euros...

Lots of people have wondered how accessible it is for older, less abled folks to access the castle. I visited yesterday & I am 71. Yes I am very fit for my age but for such an awesome setting do NOT let other misleading reviews stop you going. The castle is easily accessed from the car park where a little cafe is located. It's currently,50 tl entrance (just over a £1) & even just inside there is the most incredible view of Kyrenia. The steps for levels 1 & 2 are perfectly adequate & not very tough (see pictures) if you do not venture inside the first lookout towers which are more of a challenge. The are some awesome things to see within the first two levels like the Byzantine Church. There is also a super little cafe with an amazing view of the north coast at Kyrenia, selling their refreshing lemonade (& mocktails) & a small selection of small gifts & postcards. Now there is the third level to explore & I spent 90 mins on that level it's astounding! Again see pictures of steps & now I would say you have to be reasonably fit or very determined if a slow ascent is within your capabilities. There are astounding parts like the royal apartments with amazing views but the higher up you go the more arduous it gets until the pinnacle of the summit at 732m. some 333' higher than the car park. Steps are a lot more uneven but with care & a firm grip of the handrails it's achievable. Various pictures illustrate some of my descriptions. Some reviews talk about unstable poor handrails, this is not the case they were all solid & firm & reassuring. Some people describe litter plastic bottles etc. Well the castle has provided loads of do not litter, pop in a bin signs but there will always be the mindless uncaring idiots who ignore this, don't let it distract you off visiting. It's an awesome feat of human achievement to the highest level & it has been there a 1000 years. The road 3 miles from the dual carriageway can be accessed from the dual carriageway in either direction despite what Google maps might show (I came from Kyrenia & turned right) & the road shows a few hairpin bends, again don't let this put you off, they are wide & easily driven. What more can I say except done let a visit pass you by if you are anywhere near. Allow 4 hours if you want to visit & photograph every nook & cranny! Hope the photos help you make the right decision, Go Go Go, it's awesome!

Well worth visiting, magnificent views, but you need to be reasonably fit to make the climb. You need good balance. Not for children under 12 yrs of age.

Worth a visit. Entrance cheap 1 eur. Takes 2 hours at least to see all, so don't expect to see and go quickly. Enjoy and feel. Lot of hiking - which is good, but even old people made it..

Beautiful. The hike to the top might be challenging for some people but well worth it for the fantastic views. Wear shoes with good grip. Probably our favourite spot on Cyprus.

This is a great place to visit, especially at sunset. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because of the stones, and steps. It’s easy to be there 2 hours or more. They have a small cafe in the courtyard, a gift shop and a museum. The WC costs 10TL. The entry fee is 50TL.

Girne Castle is undoubtedly a beautiful and fascinating place. Its history, architecture, and the view of the harbor are all truly impressive. Walking through its ancient halls and standing on its walls overlooking the sea made me feel like I was touching the layers of history that have shaped our island. But as a Greek-Cypriot, visiting this castle also stirred deep emotions. I couldn’t help but feel like a stranger in my own homeland—a feeling that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. There’s a quiet sadness that comes from knowing how divided we are, despite sharing the same island, the same sun, and the same humanity. One day, I truly hope to see a Cyprus where people from both sides treat each other with more kindness, respect, and understanding.

Nice place to visit and spend time in many restaurants and cafe shops, some a bit overpriced or have small portion but there are few good ones. ever since the area were renovated it's get nicer and have good atmosphere. On weekends and holidays it's get crowded.

Amazing view from the castle! This is the biggest castle that I visited in Cyprus. This is the must go place if you want to see a beautiful port, sea and mountain.

This fortress was much bigger than what I expected. It definitely worth to visit if you are in Girne. It was a bit dirty with empty cans and water bottles everywhere. I hope the staff (and visitors) pay a bit more attention to keep it clean.

Great big castle to visit. Tickets can be brought at the entrance. Hot weather can make it hard to go around, but definitely recommend going to the top of the castle for amazing views. Little cafe at the middle of the castle serving food, coffee and cold drinks, unfortunately my food arrived 20 minutes after my partners and you have to pay extra to use the toilets in the castle which I found odd as you use the cafe an pay entrance fee to the castle. Make sure to check out the Ancient Shipwreck Museum, housed within Kyrenia Castle. Not much maintenance in the castle as it’s common to see cigarette butts or rubbish on the floor.

The most impressive castle in Cyprus, although even that is not very well preserved. It houses a small archaeological museum dedicated to a small, very old wreck. Otherwise, nothing remarkable. All you can do is walk along the dilapidated walls and admire the panorama, which is quite beautiful. In the inner courtyard there is also a small kiosk with a terrace, where you can have a drink.

A small port, not very spectacular. A mix of small boats, pleasure and fishing. On the shore several restaurants with terraces. Not very crowded, around 2:00 PM. The area looks decent, seems recently renovated. In the immediate vicinity is the castle, in a rather bad condition.

The harbour is beautiful. You can walk all the way round the harbour and past the castle. There are some lovely shops, bars and restaurants, we found a great rooftop bar for cocktails and beers with views over the harbour. Definitely spend half a day wandering round and exploring the side streets that lead off the harbour. On our previous visit we took a boat trip along the coast which is also beautiful.

Beautiful place . So atmospheric. The food is out of this world .

Underrated harbour This peaceful place reminds me of portofino a very well known harbour in north Italy Only it’s nicer and the food is great

This is a very beautiful place. A piece of Cyprus's history. Every turist in North Cyprus should visit this place.

Gorgeous place to visit. Unlimited restaurants. Great shops. Boat tours. Castle tours. Pretty much a full day out. Upmarket seaside bars and casinos. Lots to do and see. Extremely hot in the summer though so remember the sun tan lotion. Well worth a visit.
