It's one of the oldest trees in Iran. This huge tree dates back to 4000 years ago. Abarkuh cypress is a marvelous tree in a big protected area.
Sh H — Google review
Cypress tree is said to be over 4500 years old, 25m tall, 14m canopy diameter is said to be the oldest living tree in Asia. It is hypothesized that Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism, planted this tree.
Long N — Google review
A beautiful Cypress which is over 4500 years old in a very quiet and historical place, People believe that Zoroaster, the prophet, had planted this special tree and it only makes sense when you visit the place and feel it yourself.
Arash L — Google review
Standing before the Cypress of Abarkuh was truly humbling. This ancient tree, over 4,000 years old, feels more like a wise elder than a plant—quiet, strong, and full of silent stories. It’s amazing to witness something so alive that has seen the rise and fall of empires. The energy around it is calm and grounding. You don’t just visit this tree—you connect with it. If you’re anywhere near Abarkuh, make time to stand beneath its branches. It’s not just a tree—it’s a living piece of the world’s memory.
Kasra S — Google review
before visiting this beautiful historic city I had no idea about Abarkooh . On my way from Shiraz to Yazd I had a chance to stop by and visit the Ancient Cedar which really had a positive ambiance , nice pomegranate gardens nearby & historical maze shape alleys & houses . If you go there , do not miss the traditional restaurants in the surroundings with their local delicious stews .

Cypress is a sacred holy tree in Iranian culture and literature. It's symbolic for immortality and long life. This tree is considered as one of the oldest trees in the country and there are few myths and stories about it . Some people believe it was the holy tree mentioned in the Zoroastrian holy book or some believe it was planted by son of Noah. Besides all this there is a great cafe next to it where you can enjoy a drink and relax with this old lovely creature
Mr P — Google review
I like this tree a lot. This is the second oldest alive planet in the world which is located in Abarkooh city about 150 kolometers far from Yazd city. They estimated the age of this tree about 4500 years old with 25 meters hight and about 11.5 meters at its trunk and 18 meters higher up around its branches. Some people believe that it was a tree that Zoroater planted it.

Pasargadae

Mentioned on

Sights & Landmarks
Ancient Ruins
Pasargadae World Heritage Site is a significant archaeological site that was once the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It features the tomb believed to hold Cyrus the Great, an iconic figure in Persian history. The area also includes other attractions such as Sasan Palace, Sheikh Yusof Sarvestani mausoleum, Angosht Gabri castle, and the ancient city of Barateh.
Though most of the ancient buildings are ruined due to earthquakes, this is still a very nice site to visit. Besides being the capital of ancient Persia, this site is also the place where Cyrus The Great was buried. The area around the tomb is a vast green plain. There's an extra fee if you'd like to visit the ancient ruins, as they will take you on a tourist train (the ruin is quite far from the tomb).
Suciani A — Google review
A must to see!!! Pasargadae covers the archaeological remains of the first capital of the Persian Empire, dating from the 6th century BC. Its most important monument is the tomb of Cyrus the Great, the founder of the Achaemenid Empire who went on to conquer much of the ancient Near East, Southwest Asia, Central Asia and the Caucasus. Spot half day to fully explore. Highly recommended!!!
M K — Google review
A great place to visit, although not much remained of the former capital of the Persian empire. The ruins are spread over a large surface which is difficult to cover if it wasn't for the touristic car that runs inside the site.
Alexandru I — Google review
A vast area of some ancient ruins yet not so much to see. There is a train-like vehicle that takes you from one place to see to another with a small fee. Better to take it.
Esra Ç — Google review
Tomb of Cyrus the great. The tomp represents, in many ways, the resilience of the Iranian people. Most Iranians today identify a lot with the values of human rights from during Cyrusses times. He is a hero for most, and learning more about him made me understand better the Iranian people and my trip truly special. Please have a guide with you.
Pathik B — Google review
Where the history of a great Empire begins. Occupying a beautiful expanse of park-like meadow, here, at Pasargad, in a gabled temple recalling early early ziggurats and the temple at Musasir, Cyrus the Great (600-529 BC) was buried. Cyrus' temple-tomb crowns six stages which decrease in height as they progress upward, a miniature ziggurat, potent beyond any consideration of dimension. Take your time and enjoy your visit.
MJ O — Google review
There is absolutely nothing to see except the tomb. I paid 2 500 000 Rials as a tourist.

Naqsh-e Rostam

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Naqsh-e Rostam is an ancient archaeological site located outside Persepolis, featuring colossal royal tombs carved into a stone cliff face. The four rock-cut tombs are believed to belong to Achaemenid kings, with seven Sassanian stone reliefs depicting scenes of imperial conquests and ceremonies. This must-see attraction offers insight into Iranian history and culture, showcasing impressive tombs and fascinating bas-reliefs that tell captivating stories through symbolism.
Shiraz's answer to Petra, Jordan! Amazing rock carvings, carved on rocks more than 2,500 years back that too by hand. Leaves you in awe looking at the amazing feat carried out over such high and wide rocks at a time when there were no modern machinery. Also gives an insight into the thinking of Monarch Darius and his position in the society. Entry ticket fee is 2,500,000 IRR (EUR4) for a foreigner
Shaik M — Google review
Naqsh-e Rostam is a small but incredibly fascinating archaeological site in Iran that is sure to impress any enthusiast of history and ancient civilizations. Located near the famous Persepolis, it stands as an impressive testament to the power of the Persian dynasties—especially the Achaemenids.
Kasia Z — Google review
Internationally known as Necropolis (City of the Dead), this ancient tomb complex has 4 different stone carvings, with each stone used to be the burial place of ancient kings. You'll be able to see the tombs of King Darius, Darius II, Xerxes, and Artaxerxes I. During my visit (Apr 2024), the tomb of Xerxes was being restored (the far right tomb).
Suciani A — Google review
Naqsh-e Rostam, located near Persepolis in southern Iran, is an ancient necropolis renowned for its rock-cut tombs and monumental reliefs dating from the Achaemenid (550–330 BCE) and Sasanian (224–651 CE) periods. The site features four large cross-shaped tombs carved into a sheer cliff face, traditionally attributed to Achaemenid kings Darius I, Xerxes I, Artaxerxes I, and Darius II. These tombs exhibit similar architectural designs, with façades resembling Achaemenid palaces and inscriptions highlighting royal ideology. Below the tombs, Sasanian reliefs depict triumphant scenes of kings such as Shapur I and Ardashir I, emphasizing their divine legitimacy and military victories over Roman emperors. A notable structure at the site is the *Ka'ba-ye Zartosht*, a square Achaemenid-era tower whose function remains debated—possibly a fire temple, treasury, or astrological monument. Naqsh-e Rostam served as a dynastic memorial, reinforcing the continuity of Persian kingship from the Achaemenids to the Sasanians. Its strategic placement near Persepolis enhanced its symbolic importance as a sacred and political landscape. Today, the site is a key archaeological and epigraphic resource, offering insights into ancient Persian art, religion, and royal propaganda. Recognized as part of the "Persepolis and Related Sites" UNESCO tentative list, Naqsh-e Rostam remains a testament to Iran’s imperial heritage.

Naqsh Rostam is not only an ancient place; It is a mirror of the glory of the Persian Empire, of the wisdom of Darius, the rule of Xerxes, and the strength of Cyrus. Every image, every petroglyph, speaks of a great spirit woven into the geography of this land; A soul that not only wrote history, but also carved it on stone.

He said, go to the coffee shop of Rajab, if Uncle Rajab knew that he had found such a colorful place in history, he would claim to be a king 😄 There are 4 carvings on the mountain in total, which are interesting, but is it worth seeing? If you don't have time, not! Preferably watch it on Aparat and YouTube… But if you have time, go and see it 😶‍🌫️ I posted the videos, that's all there is 😁 (Original) نقش رجب …

A complete introduction to Naqsh-e Rajab The reason for naming Naqsh-e Rajab Shiraz One of the interesting topics about this historical monument is the reason for naming Naqsh-e Rajab Shiraz. Is there a secret or reason behind this issue? Unfortunately, there is no accurate information available about the reason for naming or naming this place; However, researchers and historians of the country, through their investigations, found that there was a coffee house near this historical place whose owner was Rajab, and the people of that time, due to lack of information about these inscriptions and its works, knew this place as the owner of the coffee house; therefore, this place became known as Naqsh-e Rajab. In this regard, in 1176 AH, a Danish tourist and traveler named Carsten Niebuhr traveled to Iran and mentioned a place called "Naqsh-e Rajab Inscription Stone". Also, during the Qajar era, a person named "Forsat-ud-Dawlah Shirazi" wrote an article about Naqsh-e Rajab Shiraz. This work was titled "Athar al-Ajam" and was written by the native people of that region, who referred to the Rajab inscriptions as "Naqsh-e Chabaman". If you have planned to visit Shiraz, do not miss visiting the village of Ghalat. This village is located 36 kilometers far from Shiraz in north west of this city. It takes 42 minutes to go from Shiraz to this city. Having nice climate has turned this village a very beautiful and comfortable place for visitors who want to go on a trip. Even travelers and native people of this area choose this village for spending their weekend there. This place is mountainous and you will see several houses in stair type of structure. Tall trees have covered the view of these houses. The nature of this village is truly beautiful. The green lands, winding alleys and the sound of waterfalls shows how intact the village is. It will attract you to walk on foot around the village. As you are walking it feels as if you are the first person who discovered these alleys. Walking by every alley you will face vacant cities which are as old as the village itself. An old church, water mills and handcrafts like baskets, Melki(a kind of shoe), Mashk and wood crafts are all attractive concepts In Ghalat. You can also go hiking or mountain climbing on the green valleys of this marvelous village. You may as well visit traditional weddings and get acquainted with the old customs of the people of the area. This village is village named village of weed  in iran :) After walking in untouched sites of this region you can take some rest in traditional café and restaurants which are designed with woody decoration. You can try Iranian food or tea. In spring and summer you can sit on the roof of these cafes and look at the blue sky, mountains, and long trees while listening to music. It will give a fantastic moment. In winters everywhere is covered with snow. Its falls are as colorful as you can’t  imagine, you may never stop taking pictures from its beauty.

The increase in the population led to the separation of this lovely village into 2 districts ; historical and relatively - new . Qalat has an accent of its own for example in Persian ( no problem translates into : moshkeli nist ) but Ghalati people tend to say moshkili ni .

Qalat has always been the highlight of my trips to Shiraz. The narrow, old streets, the cool air, and the river just a short walk away create a completely different atmosphere. The only downside is the narrow, winding road, which can be difficult to navigate by car. The old part of Qalat can only be entered and exited from one side. I recommend parking in the car parks at the highest part of Qalat and enjoying the cafes, restaurants, and winding streets on foot.

Ghalat (or Qalat) village is located 36 km northwest of Shiraz city. It has a cool climate even in the hottest months of the year. Today, join us to learn more about it. But before we start let’s find the answer to this question. Why should you visit Ghalat Village? It’s easy, because; 1. Qalat village has been nationally registered as the first historical-natural rural texture of Fars province. 2. Pleasant and spectacular nature. 3. There is easy access to suitable amenities. 4. This village has important historical monuments such as a church. 5. It is easily accessible and close to the city center.

Qalat is a very beautiful tourist village. If you travel to Shiraz, be sure to visit here, I highly recommend it. Talk to the people there and test local drinks (Doogh and ...). enjoy the beautiful nature there also you can camping in summer. I suggest you visit here in the fall.
Saeid Z — Google review
Without charm. A couple of buildings remembering south of France or Italian Toscana style but not in harmony. At the moment many other buildings in reconstruction clearly seems they will try to create some souvenir village for tourist. The "waterfall" are currently dried out. if you drive up behind the village the landscape is nice but not worth the hour drive from Shiraz.

Such a lovely place, the bast time to visit the place is in Autumn.... Spring is beautiful too.... If you do not mind the cold it has nice views in winter .... I like its summer for camping... the river and waterfalls would be almost dry during the summer and early Autumn.

Remote island within the Persian Gulf features tranquil beaches & numerous archaeological sites.
Absolutely worth a day trip from Kuwait City. Go check out the ancient Dilmun ruins!

- I recommend one day trip - make the ferry reservation in advance - take care with you - has some historical places and some remnant from Gulf war - Bring your food with you
Qutaiba A — Google review
It's a barren land (almost) with relics of Gulf War all around. This calm n quiet place will surely be a relaxing gateway for you. Please plan your food, transportation etc beforehand as it would be very difficult to manage those locally. We stayed there overnight. But my suggestion would be going for one day trip if you have your family along with.

This is a very big Island near Kuwait under the Kuwait boundary. this place is inhabitant right now and it is under military control although you can visit the island and you can stay one or two night there. there are few of the houses present where you can stay by giving money. there is also one or two Resort present but they are a bit expensive the main attraction of this Island is there are many damaged scrapped Military vehicle present inside the island which were destroyed during Gulf War. another thing this Island is archaeological very enriched this Island was he was habitant by people long long ago, thousands of years ago. another thing about this Island is the sea water colour is very beautiful it's almost blue to Green and there are also a few camel farm present inside the island there is a specific ferry for carrying your personal vehicle to the island ferry time usually change with the time and weather

If you are in Kuwait you can not escape this piece of history. We booked a day tour with The Ikarus booth outside Starbucks at the outer exit of Marina mall. Ikaros is also the Greek name which was given to the island during the time of Alexander the Great. Our package included to and fro transfer as well as a buffet lunch. The service was excellent and we got a personal jet boat. The lunch was limited variety but doable. You will have to check if there are other options to eat but we were more into exploring the island than searching for food. Additionally we were carrying a bag full of snacks. Failaka Island takes you back to the ancient history of kuwait. The island has a beautiful beach to spend your day on. We did kayaking and enjoyed the sea and the sunset. There is an interesting museum which has specimens from the Bronze Age and the earlier kuwait civilization. Apart from this our package also included a bus tour of the island. We saw camel farming as well as some warfare antiques left after the 91/92 invasion of Kuwait. It's best to visit between November to April as you will experience cooler breeze and a pleasant weather.
Azra M — Google review
This is a ghost town with not much to explore. We went on a day trip with Ikarus marine in their yacht. The trip consists of entry to the heritage village and activities there of. There is camel ride, horse ride, mini zoo, boating in a artificial lake, mini golf, mini museum with heritage antics, bus tour of the island. The lunch provided is also sumptuous with wide variety of dishes. There is also a cute Failacaffe with nescafe machine coffee, from an old defunct bus. The bus tour around the island includes visit to a yard with remnants of Iraq war 1991; there is tanks, howitzer guns, Jeep, trucks etc. The camel farm visit also includes a bonus of camel milk tasting for visitors. There is also a small patch of beach near the harbor with jet skis and swimming. There is old cooperative store, NBK branch, civil defense station all damaged during the war. It is a must see for everyone in Kuwait. The staff from Ikarus are very friendly and helpful. There is a lot of scope for improvement for the setup there, it is a big opportunity for tourism development in Kuwait.

One of the best places to plan a weekend getaways from Kuwait for relaxing, can be reached through kptc ferry or ikrarus private boats salmiya, private vehicle can be taken from kptc ferry service and the charge is 30 Kd, there is a park in island and few restaurants at one place also can plan stay a night there if accommodation available.

The Kuwait Towers, a trio of striking blue-tiled structures, have been an iconic symbol of Kuwait since their completion in 1979. These towers serve both practical and touristic purposes, with one housing a revolving observatory offering panoramic views of the Persian Gulf and featuring high-rise restaurants. The tallest tower also functions as a water reservoir while another supplies electricity to parts of the district.
Lovely views of Kuwait coastline and city. You also get a nice overhead view of the Aqua park next door. Free entry for children under 4 years old. 1.5 KD for children between 4-9, and 3KD for 9 years and above. You’re not allowed to bring in food or drinks (you can buy some at the stand on the observation deck).

So pretty! But after going inside, there’s not much to do asides from a restaurant and the gift shop only had a couple items. Overall a good place to stop by if you haven’t been here before. Not worth going a second time though

I think it’s a nice park and the towers are quite striking from the outside. The day I went it was foggy, so I just walked around but didn’t go up. It was worth the taxi ride to visit and I would recommend it just to get outside and walk around in November.

Tickets easily available but to purchase online. Atmosphere is wonderful, and best view from the inside. This Kuwait towers must be visited in the Night for perfect and wonderfull view.

Amazing view of the whole city. The viewing doom has a snacks bar & drinks. it has two levels, non-rotating which is wheel chair friendly and the upper level ''stairs access only'' is the rotating one. An entrance fee is required ''at this time of writing the review, is 3 K.D. per adult, Elders on Wheel chairs are FREE of charge''. The middle sphyre has two resturants that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. But a reservation must be made!! A really nice place to visit! Unfortunatly, before it has a gallary about the Iraqi invasion distruction. but they remove it after renovation. its a really peace of history and should be kept in there!

Al Shaheed Park is a contemporary green space in Kuwait City that offers a peaceful escape from the urban hustle and bustle. Spanning 200,000 square meters, it features botanical gardens, walking paths, jogging tracks, and an amphitheater. The park also houses two museums - The Habitat and The Memorial Museum - which provide insights into Kuwait's heritage and history. Beautiful, well maintained, lush green park with all features of a pure public entertainment for all age groups. It has rides and swings for the kids, a jogging track to have a run, fountain show for families and a museum that shows the cultural heritage of the area. Located within the bustling city it provides a healthy calm escape from a hectic city life. There's a huge underground parking of two levels that is totally free. The moment you walk in, you feel an incredible sense of calm and appreciation for how thoughtfully everything has been created. The park is immaculately maintained, with lush green landscapes, stunning fountains, walking and jogging paths, and breathtaking architecture. Best public park I’ve seen in my travels, nice bathrooms and amenities including a bird sanctuary, mini old (and new) town, musical fountain with cafes and restaurants. Best to probably come around 4-5 pm as most museums aren’t open before but also if you come too late you won’t be able to admire the nice landscaping.

Visited Al Shaheed Park yesterday and it was an amazing experience! 🌿 The place is beautifully maintained with lush greenery, peaceful walking paths, and great spots to relax. The fountains, museum, and night lighting make it even more special. Perfect place to spend time with family or just unwind alone. Definitely deserving of 5 stars! 🌸

If you’re looking for a peaceful green escape in the city, this park is a hidden gem. It’s beautifully maintained, green and most importantly incredibly safe. Whether you’re visiting with family, your partner, kids, or just need some solo time, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. You can go for a run, take a quiet walk, read a book under the trees, or simply sit and soak in the chilled atmosphere. There’s a real sense of calm here that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s one of those rare places where you can truly disconnect and be present. I always find myself coming back especially during winter 😍😍😍😍

The Grand Mosque of Kuwait, also known as 'Al-Masjid Al-Kabir', is a must-see attraction in the heart of Kuwait City. It's the largest mosque in the country and the 8th largest in the world.
2025.05.05 I visited here Mashaa Allah this is the best place in Kuwait. All staffs are very kind, very supportive and they give us respect. I have visited many places in Kuwait but this is number one in everything. Also who ever staying in Kuwait or plan to visit Kuwait every one need to visit here. Most important thing this staffs know English well they talking with us in English that is very important. Personally I give 5 stars for the staffs only.

This s my first visit to the Grand Mosque of Kuwait. From outside, this mosque look descent and humble. But when I entered the mosque, it is marvelous, beautiful interior, fantastic dome, beautiful carpet, bluish and golden color make the interior so amazing. It is filled with Islamic calligraphy, all over the wall and the dome. In its exhibition hall, it has some calligraphy too from other countries such as China. You need to wear your cloth properly, and for ladies, you need to wear cloth that cover your body from top to toe (hijab, headscarf). Very beautiful.

This was the first attraction I visited in Kuwait City, and it did not disappoint! The building is absolutely glorious, the main hall is breathtaking in both size and beauty. The architecture is stunning and truly worth seeing. Entrance is free, and there are tours available in English, which makes the experience even more engaging. A must-see landmark in Kuwait City!.

The Grand Mosque is a breathtaking landmark that beautifully showcases Islamic architecture and Kuwaiti culture. The intricate interiors, grand dome, and peaceful atmosphere make it a must-visit in Kuwait City.
KevUn — Google review
The Grand Mosque is absolutely breathtaking. 😍 It's so quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Ladies are not allowed to go to the men section and vice versa. Do cover up dressing modestly, ladies need to wear Hijab (head scarf), no exposed body parts, arms and legs, need to be fully covered, no lace or transparent clothing. Men need to cover up as well wearing plain clothing like t-shirt and bottoms. No inappropriate writing and any pictures on the clothes. It's Free to visit and they have certain timings, best to go early in the morning around 9am.
نساء أ — Google review
Free guided tour provided as long as you follow the allocated time for guided tours. Some confusing information found online on the opening times for visiting this mosque. Do not come on Friday and Sunday. Though external of the mosque compound doesn't look as mesmerizing as other mosque in GCC, the internal decoration of the mosque has its own unique beauty. What I feel the best is the warm welcome of the guide and the free drinks (juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate) and snacks provided in the reception area. This you won't get at any other bigger mosque in this region.
Julia J — Google review

The Visitor timings are from Sunday to Thursday Early morning to 6.30 as mentioned at the premises through visitor gate 7. Al Mubarakiya is a lively and vibrant souk located in the heart of Kuwait, offering a captivating display of Islamic art at the Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah. This historic market dates back centuries and provides visitors with an authentic experience of Kuwait's unique atmosphere. It features a wide range of goods, from traditional Middle Eastern dishes to Persian silk carpets, antiques, fresh produce, and aromatic spices.
Old market place, lot of authentic restaurants and stands . For more fun Check social media sites.
Abulmajd A — Google review
Very strange market. One benefit and a drawback is that most of the traders are arranged in sections. All exchange offices are on one street, so you can compare the rates quickly. But on the other hand, it is difficult to find an exchange elsewhere. Goods are all the same in many shops: perfumes, rolls of fabrics. Barely anything for the tourists. Heritage street with mostly closed shops. All the sellers are sitting in the shops talking to somebody on the phones. Nobody's interested in the customers. Most of the shops are very small. How did you survive the covid?
Alik M — Google review
If you want to visit the old market and bazar of kuwait 🇰🇼 that is revamped and renovated with modern looks, then you must visit Al Mubarakiya. Everything there is well managed and cleaned. Old houses and structures, that was once the homes of people, now turned into shops. The market structure and shops make me feel like the old architectural design from a story from Alladin. Street with warm lighting ambience in style of old lantern, structure, small ventilation windows, old retro door of houses with chain buckles, still used to lock doors of shop, Adobe looks of houses now transformed into shops, made you time travel into time. All the shops are well organised and you can find a lot of clothing, restaurants, tea shops, sweet shops, perfume shop there. I simply love visiting this area. As many people were there, I was not comfortable taking pictures of the vicinity but somehow managed to get a few shots. Barbecue of the one of the restaurant 😋 is delicious with a good serving size but expensive.

We got facilitated with discounts on the kuwait shopping festival with raffles

One of the smaller malls in Doha. Most of the shops seem to be more on the expensive, designer shops. Unlike other malls, there is also limited entertainment besides the Museum of Illusions. Even places to eat are like expensive coffee shops. If a quiet, expensive mall is your thing, then this will be a place to visit. Otherwise, you are better off visiting any of the other malls in Doha.

Amazing Stay with Exceptional Service! From the moment we arrived, Ms. Kashaf gave us a warm welcome, setting the tone for an incredible stay. The service was top-notch, and every aspect of our experience exceeded expectations. The room was superb, with a breathtaking sea view from the balcony—definitely a highlight! Room service offered a great menu with generous portions; we tried the salmon and pasta, both of which were delicious. The hotel also provides convenient basement parking, making our stay even more hassle-free. Overall, an excellent experience—we will definitely be back!

We had booked a deluxe partial sea view room. Rooms were of good size and even the toilets. Price also felt not that high compared to other beach hotels. But their restaurants and cafe were too expensive. Housekeeping was excellent. There was a warm water pool so we could use it even during this season. Breakfast was included, menu was good and had good varieties.

Beautiful place to stay , the rooms are clean , I booked the sea view chalet and suite both have sea view. The chalet has direct access to the beach and large out door seating area. There were no hot water in the bathroom which shocked me when I was taking a shower in the morning!! No slippers ! Or bathrobe! No cups for coffee or tea !! There were no coffee machine even it was mentioned in the booking criteria.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was a disaster. The rooms were filthy, with dust, stains, and an overall feeling of neglect. The service was beyond terrible—staff were unhelpful, rude, and completely disorganized. The so-called ‘view’ was a joke, nothing like what was advertised. The buffet was disappointing, with cold, stale food. The outdoor seating area was poorly maintained, dirty, and unwelcoming. The tea and coffee station was a disaster—no coffee machine, barely any options, and cheap, low-quality coffee . The fridge in the room was EMPTY and dirty —no drinks, no snacks, nothing. The worst part? Hygiene was non-existent. Used toothbrushes left in the bathroom, and dirty beds a general lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel. They make big promises, but the moment you ask for something, the staff disappears. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else!

I visited this mall on August 25, 2025. It is the biggest mall in Kuwait and you will need half a day to explore everything. In terms of prices, all the items to buy are branded, so it is hmmmmmmm. It is a great place to explore and spend your free time. It is mostly crowded at night time but at the same time night time is the best for the best view. There are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops everywhere, so don't worry about food and snacks. It is also a paradise for children. There is a lot of entertainment for them, while parents should be careful because if you sleep, your credit card and wallet will be empty 🤣🤣🤣 Washrooms are available. Prayer room also available.

The Avenues Mall in Kuwait is hands down one of the most incredible shopping destinations I’ve ever visited—truly in a league of its own. The scale, design, and atmosphere are absolutely breathtaking. It’s not just a mall—it’s an entire world of luxury, entertainment, and culture under one roof. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how thoughtfully everything is laid out. The architecture is stunning, blending modern style with unique themed sections like Prestige, Grand Avenue, and The Souk—each offering its own vibe and personality. Whether you’re here for high-end brands, everyday shopping, or just to explore, there’s something for everyone. The cleanliness and organization are flawless. The staff across the stores and food courts are always welcoming and professional, and the variety of restaurants and cafés is unmatched—you can find everything from international fine dining to casual bites. What truly makes The Avenues special is how it feels like more than just a mall. It’s an experience. Families, tourists, and locals all come together here, and no matter how many times you visit, it never loses its charm.

I’ve visited many countries and malls, but The Avenues truly stands out as one of the best. From the easy access to the mall to the wide variety of brands, it offers a complete, well-rounded experience. It really felt like an all in one package; shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one place. Highly recommended!

I have been to this mall many times and it is a great mall it has everything you could possibly need. You can shop for clothes, cosmetics, etc. The mall has lots of restaurants. There is a movie theater and tons of benches to sit down. It's although huge but it's a very nice mall

The Avenues is the best mall in Kuwait—huge, clean, and has everything from luxury brands to everyday shopping!! I recommend visiting The Souk for a traditional vibe, Grand Avenue for international stores, and the Forum for cafés. One of my favorites is %Arabica for great coffee and a nice spot to relax. Parking is spacious and organized, making it easy to spend the whole day here with family or friends.

This popular indoor-outdoor waterpark is great for families and adults, with slides, pools, a lazy river, and more. It's located within Bahrain City Centre mall at level 3 near the food court area. Open all week days except one day for maintenance.
It is a great place for all ages ...I recommend the parents to keep an eye on their kids and swim with them. The lifeguards are just to apply the rules but no action in case any incidents. In general It is a great . You will enjoy your time for sure.

This water park is located within Bahrain City Center mall at level 3 near the food court area. Provide all year round air conditioned swiming pools and skating simulators for both kids and adults! Prices are moderate but at the same time ain't cheap specially if you have a punch of playful kids! Recommend for families and adults but the main expected customers will be teens and kids ! Opens all week days except one day off for maintenance.

Excellent water park for kids upto 10 years or for people looking for day in water. Not very adventurous and thrilling rides. Best is it's in a mall next to food court. Bahrain City Center

Wonderful place Full of fun place We enjoyed a lot During our visit o Jan 2020 A must visit place
Subhash G — Google review
The kids, big and small (5-14), had a great time. The waterpark seems quite small in comparison with most outdoor parks but there are plenty of different rides packed in and the park being mainly covered is a definite bonus in the hot summer months. When we did step outside to the outdoor rides the ground burned our feet so we needed flip flops there. A good range of high excitement rides as well as gentler rides for young kids. Food is available I side but we waited until we’d finished swimming and ate elsewhere in the mall. I can’t remember if we paid with MasterCard or Visa but this method of payment gave us 20% off so so check with the cashier!

Seef Mall, with two branches in different areas including the main branch in Seef District, is a top shopping destination in Bahrain. It offers a wide array of high-quality retail stores and international brands catering to all your shopping needs, from clothing and footwear to cosmetics and accessories. The mall is spacious and air-conditioned, housing various shops, eateries, coffee shops, a supermarket, and a well-equipped play area for children.
I would like to thanks Marni for his outstanding customer service and most of all i loved the 100% pistachio dates with Arabic coffee really fabulous and tasty. Arabic coffee is one of the best in Bahrain. I will recommend to my friends this place.
Amna J — Google review
Seef Mall Bahrain is one of the most comfortable and enjoyable malls in the Kingdom. I really like how it combines shopping, dining, and entertainment all in one place. The atmosphere feels relaxed and family friendly, with plenty of space to walk around without feeling crowded. There’s a good variety of international and local brands from fashion to electronics and the cinema and restaurants make it easy to spend a full day there. The food court has many options, and I especially like the coffee shops around the center where you can just sit and watch people go by. Parking is usually easy to find, and the mall is always clean and well-maintained. Overall, Seef Mall feels welcoming and well managed definitely one of the best places in Bahrain to shop, dine, and unwind
Ali A — Google review
Nice mall with several cafes & different stores affordable to many unlike MG mall mostly for the elite. Many families enjoy coming to this calm, chill environment. I enjoy often for walks & random purchases.
Khadijah — Google review
It’s a very amazing mall !!! The last time I went to this mall which I think it was 5 years ago , it looked so different . This time it looks newer and it has so many nice shops in it . Before it looked old and it didn’t really have good shops in it . This mall is like every mall and it has a huge indoor play area . The machine/electrical part of the play area is a bit expensive but the one that you can drop your kids off in is a pretty good price . This mall also has a cinema but it’s not really a good cinema (cineco). I don’t know if there is a supermarket in this mall because it is pretty big so I didn’t go to many areas in this mall . But there are many popular shops to choose from and there are also two food courts in this mall with other popular restaurants . I am honestly impressed on how much this mall has improved ever since .
Mini E — Google review
This mall is generally great and its very big and nice with a wide variety of different shops. I love coming here, this mall is absolutely underrated and its always pretty empty but it has so many stores and you usually find what you want when coming here from my past experiences. The workers here are usually friendly too and the parking is also good and big. The mall is in a really nice area as its directly next to Al Aali Mall and its also near a bunch of other places and near Manama so its great because if you dont find what you want here, you can usually look in other places because everything is pretty much close to this mall. This mall is great but pretty underrated, more people should come here as its an amazing mall.
Rital M — Google review
Overall, it's a good mall. There aren't too many things to do besides shop and eat. The mall is quite difficult to navigate, and I had to ask the cleaning staff for directions because there are almost no direction boards anywhere. However, if you are looking for a chill mall that is not as crowded as some malls in Bahrain, I would recommend Seef Mall.

Bahrain Fort, also known as the Portuguese fort, is a historical treasure showcasing the remnants of a 16th-century structure. Situated by the sea, it offers breathtaking views and a cool atmosphere. The site features an on-site museum displaying archaeological finds and informative signs that make learning about its history easy. While visiting, it's advisable to research beforehand due to its historical significance. Although transportation may be challenging, the well-preserved fort with its accurate symmetry is worth exploring.
Bahrain Fort is a perfect blend of history and beauty. Walking through the ancient ruins with the sea breeze around you feels magical. It’s peaceful, scenic, and a great spot to explore Bahrain’s rich past. Don’t miss it!

Bahrain Fort is an absolute must-visit! It’s free, with plenty of parking, and I had the whole place to myself—walking like a king through a 5,000-year-old fort by the sea. Truly an unforgettable experience

I visited the Bahrain Fort in the summertime, and wow it was hot! But it was absolutely worth it. The sunset over the ruins was gorgeous, casting this golden light over the old stone walls. You can really feel the history here; it’s incredible to think how old this place is and how well it’s been preserved. What made it even more special was seeing a few men outside the fort schooling their Arabian horses. It was such a beautiful and peaceful sight, especially with the desert backdrop and the city skyline in the distance. If you visit Bahrain, definitely come around sunset it’s a moment you won’t forget. #ruins

I recently visited Fanateer Mall in Jubail and had an amazing time! The mall offers a great shopping experience with a variety of stores to choose from. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends and family. I loved the food options too - plenty of delicious choices to satisfy any craving. Overall, I'd highly recommend Fanateer Mall to anyone looking for a great day out in Jubail!

The mall was big, but it was a little disappointing because there were many closed places. However, if you have children, there are many things to enjoy, so I think it's a good place.
양성철 — Google review
The mall is new and massive. The downside of the mall is that it is virtually empty with some shops, eateries and kids amusement park dotted across different level. Toilet facilities are new and clean. There is a good vibe outside the mall. It would be good to have benches in the mall. Hope we can return when the mall is filled. Then I will adjust my review rating for the mall.

Fantastic, renovated completely, excellent services. Few shops are open currently but many more are preparing to open soon. A coffee shop on ground floor is operational. Kid's play area is also operational and was crowded possibly due to weekend.

Newly opened after renovation, but very less crowded and many shops are still not opened. One best thing is jumpoline for kids and food stoll like Karak. Specially in day, You will see the best view of fanateer beach ⛱from food court seating area glass window.

The mall is clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. It may not be the biggest mall in the region, but its peaceful atmosphere, variety of stores, and nearby beach make it truly unique. The food court offers a nice mix of international and local options, and the outdoor seating area is a great place to unwind. Perfect for families, friends, or even a solo visit — Fanateer Mall combines comfort and charm in a way that makes you want to come back again. Highly recommended if you're in Jubail! 🛍️🌊☕

Fanateer Mall after renovation became modern place to visit. Kids playing place is one of the best places. Various coffee shops were opened outside of the mall. However, not too much places were set yet for shopping apart from gold shops. All over it is a place where families can gather in weekends.

The Royal Camel Farm is a sanctuary for hundreds of camels located in Bahrain. Visitors can enjoy tasting camel milk and feeding the adorable baby camels. Despite being in a confirmed area, the camels are healthy and happy, making it a must-visit spot courtesy of the royal family. The farm is home to various colored and aged camels, offering great photo opportunities for animal lovers and kids alike.
Apart from the tree of life, this is the second most desired stop on our trip. The camels seem very happy, they’re very curious and love to be pet. Don’t wear your sunglasses on top of your head or they will try to eat them. The workers here were very nice and plenty of good photo opportunities should not be missed by anyone who is in Manama Bahrain. Definitely a must see in the area

I have seen a lot of contradicting information regarding whether this place is open or not. I had a tour booked to go there which was cancelled so I rented and car and went myself but the security says it's been closed for 8 months. I do see other people getting in a few weeks ago so maybe it's hit or miss. Try your luck if you have time but go with the understanding that you probably won't be allowed in. I have shown the best view of the camels I could get from the parking lot.
Anson G — Google review
The Royal Camel farm is definitely worth a visit. The admission to this place is free so no need to come with a tourist group. You can walk around freely and take pictures of these beautiful animals. Place can be a little muddy after rain.
Ermano G — Google review
Very easy to locate and ample parking available. The entry is free and they allow you to walk around camels which are tied up. They unofficially allow you to feed the camels. Washrooms are present but not really clean. It's a good place if you want to take your young ones. There is nothing much to do here so you can't spend more than an hour here.

Al Nakheel Beach was an incredible experience. I spent nearly 3hours here and found it to be superior to any other beach in Dammam. The beach was immaculate and well-maintained, providing a pleasant and clean environment. Additionally, there is a spacious garden area that offers ample space for leisure activities❤️ I observed many families enjoying their time here, indulging in tea, coffee, and snacks. The weather was perfect - not too cold nor too hot, creating an ideal atmosphere. I highly recommend choosing this beach over any other, as it provides clean water for swimming🏊 .

One of the amazing places I visited in Saudi Arabia reminded me of the Nile corniche or a beach, especially with its magnificent sunset views. However, despite its resemblance to the Nile, its salty taste brought me back to reality, reminding me that this was not the Nile. Marjan Island, also known as Coral Island, is the first artificial island in Saudi Arabia located off the Cornish road in Dammam. It's a popular tourist spot with beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The island offers various attractions such as parks, picnic areas, children's playgrounds, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment centers. Visitors can access Marjan Island by driving across the bridge or taking a ferry ride from Dammam city.
We're going to this place for fishing and we spend long time here. This this a enjoyable island for spending your time with friends family and alone. Many peoples comes here to take some fresh air and gossip friends & family. This fishing area is cool and you can catch many fishes here. Personally i love this place.
SHARFin — Google review
I recently visited Marjan Island in Dammam during the evening, and unfortunately, the current condition of the spot is quite disappointing. The area seemed neglected, with a noticeable lack of cleanliness—trash was scattered around, and the usual vibrant atmosphere was missing. Unlike before, there wasn’t much foot traffic, giving the place a deserted feel. It seemed like the island might be partially closed or undergoing some sort of renovation, although no official signs confirmed this. Facilities that were once a highlight, like the monument tower and rest areas, appeared poorly maintained. If anyone is planning to visit Marjan Island soon, I’d suggest reconsidering or at least going during the day and being prepared for limited amenities. It’s best to bring your own food, water, and essentials, as the on-site options are minimal. While the location still offers a nice sea breeze and scenic views, the current state doesn’t reflect the vibrant destination it once was.
Dr. H — Google review
Marjan Island is a great spot if you're looking to chill out and relax. It's super peaceful, and some areas might seem a bit empty, but that actually makes it kind of special. The quietness and natural beauty make it perfect for just getting away from everything and enjoying some downtime. Whether you're taking a walk by the water or just soaking up the calm vibes, it's a cool place to escape the usual hustle.

“Marjan Island, Dammam – A Nostalgic Visit with Future Excitement” During our visit to Marjan Island, Dammam, after more than 28 years, we were delighted to relive the cherished memories we made here between 1990 and 2000. This island has always been a special place for us, where our kids enjoyed countless visits, and we once celebrated Pakistan Day with our close family, making it an unforgettable memory. While the island still holds its natural charm, we noticed that some planning and development work is underway, promising to bring more attractions for visitors in the future. As of now, the island remains a simple yet lively picnic spot, where most visitors were enjoying their time by the roadside, fishing, or relaxing with family. The main food options were from food stalls, which added to the casual, outdoor experience. One striking sight was the long stretch of cars parked beside the sea, showing how popular this place remains among locals and visitors alike. It was refreshing to see people gathering, enjoying the cool breeze, and making the most of the island’s peaceful atmosphere. We look forward to seeing how the planned developments will enhance the experience while keeping the island’s serene and nostalgic essence intact.

Mall of Dhahran is a massive shopping complex that offers a wide range of retail stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities. With over 400 well-known national and international brands, it caters to diverse shoppers with its extensive selection of clothing, accessories, toys, home furnishings, and more. The mall also features a variety of restaurants and cafes to suit different tastes. Additionally, it includes amenities such as a movie theater, kids' play center, and even a mosque for convenient prayer.
Here is my review. The Good Part 1. Variety of Shops: The Mall of Dhahran boasts a wide range of international and local brands, making it a shopper's paradise. You can find everything from high-end designer stores to everyday essentials. 2. Entertainment Options: The mall features a large movie theater, a kids' play center, and even a trackless rail or battery-operated car for easy navigation. 3. Food Court: With a variety of local and international food options, the food court is a great place to relax and refuel. 4. Clean and Well-Maintained: The mall is known for its cleanliness, with neat and tidy washrooms and spacious parking. 5. Family-Friendly: It's a great place to visit with family, offering leisure, food, and shopping options for all age groups. Not So Good Part 1. Crowded: Due to its size and popularity, the mall can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. 2. Navigation: Finding your way around the mall can be challenging due to its large size and sometimes confusing layout. Make sure you remember the gate where you parked the car.

Just visited Mall of Dhahran, and it’s definitely one of the top shopping spots in Saudi Arabia. The place is very clean, spacious, and calm, making it ideal for a day out with family, friends, or even if you’re alone. Just a heads-up—it’s a huge mall! Be ready to walk a lot. Feels like a fun workout while shopping. 😄 Overall, a great place to shop, eat, and relax all in one.

Dhahran Mall is one of the best malls in the Eastern Province, Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It has more than 100 famous brand shops and outlets, including clothing, footwear, perfumes, jewelry, coffee shops, fancy stores, a theatre, a kids’ game zone, a food court, ice skating, and more. Visitors can easily spend 2 to 3 hours enjoying the shopping experience. It is highly recommended for all kinds of people who love shopping.

Lovely shopping mall. The area close to panda smells and is annoying. It affects my decision to even shop close to it. Significant part of the mall was burnt maybe three years ago, still not rebuilt. The mall is spacious and beautiful with lots of shopping options.
M L — Google review
At its peak -around 10 years ago-, Mall of Dhahran was one of the trendiest malls in the area & the go-to place for all things entertainment; arcades, shopping, food and merely just walking around. Lately and especially after the recent fire -around 2 years ago- it is just not the same. The mall is now half closed, the establishment never recovered and the quality of the stores & building is just not the same. It is still a good place to visit and walk around or do some light shopping. However, if you are planning to do some serious shopping or if you are a tourist, I think you should opt to visit Alnakheel Mall in Dammam. It is much newer, cleaner and with many more name brand stores and local options. Also, the Mall ventilation is not the best. It is always hot inside stores and is only breezy in the walkway between the actual stores. Plenty of parkings & relatively good crowd.

The "Mall of Dhahran" is located in Dhahran, not Riyadh. It is considered a major shopping complex in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, with reviews highlighting its wide variety of stores, entertainment options like a movie theater and kids' play area, diverse food court, and family-friendly atmosphere. Recent news mentions a partial fire in May 2022 that caused damage, but Civil Defense teams responded, and the incident was contained.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Al Rashid Mall, located in Khobar, is a well-established shopping center with over 500 stores offering a wide range of products from high-end to mid-range brands like Zara and H&M. In addition to shopping, visitors can enjoy various entertainment options such as a cinema, food court, bowling alley, and children's play area. The mall's impressive architecture and traditional souk area make it a cultural experience for tourists.
Al Rashid Mall is a great place to visit, even during its ongoing renovation. The mall remains open and clean, with many shops and restaurants still operating. The upgrades are impressive, including new zones like Fashion Avenue, The Dome, and Al Rashid Walk, which promise an even better shopping and leisure experience once complete. Looking forward to the final result!

One of the best Malls in the Eastern region boasting of reputed brands like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels etc. Part of the Mall is open to public and is definitely worth a visit. Big Thumbs up to the developer for elevating the shopping experience in the region 👍🏻

A Great Shopping Experience with a Minor Inconvenience Al Rashid Mall continues to be one of the top shopping destinations in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, offering a fantastic mix of local and international brands, spacious interiors, and a vibrant atmosphere for families and individuals alike. Whether you’re shopping, dining, or just strolling around, the mall has something for everyone — from high-end fashion to cozy cafes and fun entertainment options. One small inconvenience at the moment is the ongoing refurbishment work in some areas. A few sections are temporarily closed off, which slightly disrupts the usual flow and causes minor detours etc. Overall, Al Rashid Mall remains a great place to spend time & shop around.
Waqar B — Google review
Al-Rashid Mega Mall in Madinah is a massive shopping and entertainment destination with a vast selection of international and local brands, a large food court, a cinema, and a children's play area. Reviewers praise its cleanliness, spaciousness, and extensive offerings, but some note high prices and a confusing layout. It is recommended for its wide range of shopping needs, from clothing to groceries at the attached Carrefour, and for general family-friendly activities.
Saadat K — Google review
this mall is under construction for months now. they still operate while ignoring safety protocols. hello civil defense…. open ceiling, and check the new escalator in the video. the railing height is not on standard. forgot to check the brand. right now til they don’t finish the renovation/reconstruction. i don’t recommend this mall.
Jimella J — Google review
It's a very grand mall. Has many sections and outlets. Major attractions are carrefour, jareer, empire cinema, etc. It's under construction but still most stores are operational.
Noor F — Google review
Currently under construction, still is one of the most amazing mall in terms of planning and brand addition.

Al Rashid Mall in Al Khobar is one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The mall is massive, beautifully designed, and offers a complete mix of everything under one roof – from international fashion brands to local shops, a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and family entertainment zones. It is not just a place to shop, but also a lifestyle hub where you can spend an entire day without running out of things to do. The architecture combines modern style with cultural touches, and the indoor environment is always well maintained, clean, and comfortable for families. Parking is huge and easily accessible, though the mall can get very crowded during weekends and evenings, so visiting during weekdays is more relaxed. The recent renovations have made the mall even more attractive, adding signature areas such as Al Rashid Fashion Avenue, Al Rashid Walk, Palm Court, and The Dome, which bring in new experiences and luxury vibes. It has a cinema, kids’ play areas, and spaces where the whole family can enjoy themselves. The traditional section inspired by Saudi heritage is also a nice touch, making it feel more than just a mall. Overall, Al Rashid Mall is not only a shopping center but also a landmark of Al Khobar where locals and tourists alike gather. Whether you are looking for fashion, dining, leisure, or simply a place to relax with family and friends, this mall delivers on every level.

Mena Holiday Beach Resort Half Moon

Hotel
Outdoor Activities
Mena Holiday Beach Resort Half Moon is a charming bayside getaway that offers cozy rooms and suites, perfect for those looking to unwind by the sea. With its own private beach and a medium-sized pool, guests can enjoy leisurely days soaking up the sun. While dining options are available on-site, meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner come at an additional cost.
It is cut off from city centre, so hungerstation doesnt deliver here, leaving no other choice than to rely on the menu by the resort.otherwise its got a beautiful coastline with swimming pool for kids
Nida S — Google review
The only good thing about this hotel is that it has a private beach. Food choices for breakfast is limited. Called the staff to clean our room but nobody came and when we insisted on having our room tidied up, the hotel staffs declined and said that they have other rooms to clean first (no guests). Dirty pool especially the kiddie pool. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Only come here if you’re on a tight budget and wanted to have a private beach.
Aprilyn — Google review
The place is very good and the beach is also inviting you to swim. A good plce to hold a big event for company gatherings or recollections. A lot of fun activity and sports you can do here because of theur wide amenities. The only thing i do not like or disappointed is their toilet/ washroom. They should change/replace or renovate their public toilet mostly the toilet bowl and sink. It is very important to attract more guests and custumers.

I went on a Eid vacation, and the hotel was mediocre at best. Pros: Room size is good Location is perfect Cons: Awful food Terrible service NO cleanness Hotel has signs of age Shower takes time to be hot There was no cleanness in the hotel. There were no toothbrushes, tissues, or toothpaste and the towels were old and dirty. The "room cleaning" button on the hotel telephone does not work .The cleaner only came ONE time in my 4 day vacation, and if you try to get him to come clean your room he takes a long time to come. The food was awful for both breakfast and lunch. There was not a lot of food, and the food feels old and cold. In addition, the hotel is pretty greedy, so if you want to get a bottle of water or get a bottle of Pepsi, you'll need to pay up. The water is overpriced and small (costs 4 riyals!). The service is very bad. The hotel tries to minimize the amount of workers to reduce the prices of rooms, and that has diminishing returns. In the swimming pool area, there are no table cleaners and overall service is very bad. The hotel has signs of age, and that becomes evident when you go to the underground pool bathroom, as the roof is literally peeling off. These signs of age are all over the hotel, including in the bottom of doors, and in the rooms. Lastly, the shower takes a long time to get hot even if you set the water temperature at the highest. For the price, I expected more. The location is excellent, but the poor cleanliness, bad food, and lack of service make this hotel hard to recommend.

It was a terrible experience. I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this. I would highly recommend not to stay in this hotel. Here’s why : The rooms were small and dingy. They were not cleaned properly as we saw trash in the room. The toilet was disgusting and unclean. They did not clean the room properly. There was not much to do. Extremely Boring. Quite safe. There was not much you could walk around. It was plain and nothing to eat. Especially breakfast the food was dead and completely disgusting. The room service was really bad. We asked them for a mattress they couldn’t give, they only gave a blanket with bugs in it. Whenever we ask they always bring at least 2 hours after. For people who’ve statues and Enjoyed before, rethink. This resort used to be holiday inn. Holiday in was superb. That’s why we came. They’ve changed their ways as there is a new owner. Mena hotel was previously holiday inn. But their ways have changed badly. They also scammed, lied, and cheated us. They promised us 3 beds that we never got. They charged us for 3 bedrooms but only gave us 2 bedrooms. They promised us mattresses but we never got that as well. They got us 3 useless blankets that we could not use without mattresses. Even one of them had bugs. A little message to the manager of Mena Resort : I you are reading this, we had a horrible stay. You offered us 3 beds and charged us for 3 beds but you only gave us 2. You promised us 3 mattresses but you only gave us 3 blankets with one having bugs. I’m sorry to say but we have not enjoyed this and certainly won’t come back. We feel we did not have a stay up to our expectations and if you made a mistake it would be shameful not to make compensate. You guys made a mistake and instead of trying to compensate you guys made it worse. Overall, staying in this hotel is not a good idea.

It is the worst resort ever - I don’t recommend anyone to stay here rooms are too old - not clean full of insects the moment you open the balcony door - villa beside are not renovated and full of damage furniture on in the front where it is supposed to sit and enjoy the sea view- they describe the unit as a villa of two bedrooms and in fact it is a studio type unit - too small and smelling bad

Al Qarah Mountain is a must-visit destination with ample parking and friendly staff. The entrance fee is reasonable, offering a detailed history of the area and displaying interesting artifacts. Inside the cave, visitors can enjoy the cool atmosphere while exploring its beauty. From the hilltop, one can admire stunning views of date farms and greenery. It's an ideal place for families as kids can have fun climbing rocks and exploring the caves.
Stunning natural landmark with unique caves and panoramic views of Al-Ahsa Oasis. The cool caves are perfect for escaping the heat. a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

Also called Judas Cave. It is worth a visit. There will be an offer for a tourguide-45minutes tour (need to pay a hundred tho), and they will let you borrow a flashlight each person. There will be fee for Entrance (fifty SAR)+ vat(7.5sar) per person (I wasn’t able to ask if there’s any difference of payment for kids). You are free to take photos.. there will be photographers around if you want better photos or printed copies. They also have Souvenir shops… If you are worried about food and drinks, there are cafes and restaurants you can go. Parking is not a problem, they got a big place for that. So far, it is far😂 but worth it.. a place away from work and worries.. a little break you deserve.. 🥰

Outside the caves it can get harsh (sun, heat) so visiting at cooler times of day is wise.Once inside, you’ll immediately notice the temperature drop — it can be 10–15 °C cooler than outside, making it a natural escape from the desert heat. The walk includes some open sections.Allow around 1–2 hours for the full visit.Entry fee: Around SAR 50–57 per adult. However, the light is ambient, not bright it’s designed to highlight the cave walls and atmosphere,

Remarkable place. Amazing formations and caves that are easy to explore. Seems to have its own climate too. Exceptionally cool in this midst of a blistering Al Ahsa summer. Eager to experience it in the winter.

Al Qarah Mountain, also called Jabal Al Qarah, is a natural and cultural landmark in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahsa area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We had little difficulty in locating the entrance of this heritage site after reaching Al Ahsa. Though only about 75 meters high, it is famous for its dramatic cliffs and cool caves formed by centuries of wind and water erosion. The mountain is composed primarily of sedimentary rocks such as limestone, sandstone, and clay, which over centuries have been shaped by wind and water erosion into dramatic cliffs, narrow passageways, and natural caves. They remain cool in the intense desert summer and relatively warm in winter, making them a natural air-conditioned shelter. Today, this place is a popular tourist attraction, with pathways and a cultural center that showcase its geology and history. Al Qarah remains a symbol of Al-Ahsa’s heritage, blending natural beauty with timeless traditions.

Qaisariya Al-Ahsa Souq

Market
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
This super typical and authentic suq is AMAZING and 100% worth it!! Clean and colourful. Near the beautiful door, you are likely to find more men's clothes and home items as well as spices. Women's clothes and jewelleries are located a bit further away: once you enter the door, walk towards the right along a main road. Behind the door you can find seats and tables. When I visited this suq, there were some cafes set up too. And as usual in Saudi, nice and friendly locals 😊

Historic souq with beautiful architecture and a wide variety of local goods spices, textiles, jewelry. Walking through its narrow corridors feels like stepping back in time. Highly recommended.
Huzaifa A — Google review
Visiting this souq was such a memorable experience! The place is full of life, colors, and beautiful scents coming from the endless stalls of spices, herbs, and traditional goods. I especially loved the wide variety of dates each type more delicious than the next. Walking through the souq felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by local culture and warm, welcoming vendors. It’s the perfect spot to experience authentic traditions and pick up unique gifts to take home. A must-visit for anyone who loves culture, food, and history!
Haya J — Google review
An old bazaar in the centre of Hafouf. You can buy traditional clothes, shoes, spices, etc. There are traditional cafes that still serve traditional dishes. A nice walk through the narrow isles of the souq.

A real taste of Arabian culture. Beautiful place, fully renovated and well cared. It's a world heritage site, really worth seeing and walking, especially in the winter season.
Leonardo M — Google review
Really neat place to visit. If the weather is right, this place is fun to walk around and shop for local spices and bakhur (a special fragrance like agar, you light up on a charcoal and the smoke comes with nice fragrance). We also bought a lot of different kinds of spices.
Mohammad R — Google review
AL-Qaisariya Souq is the center of the attraction best shopping area for tradicional/ antiques such as traditional thob, dress, personal accessories, home deco, and small restaurants, cafés.
SAM B — Google review
It is a very expensive Market if you are planning to buy some gold then it is not a good place they charge you more than 360SAR for 1gm of gold of 21k but the price of the gold would be around 271 SAR for 21k gold. I would rather suggest going to gold outlets such as Malabar where you could get one price across the kingdom and they usually give discounts on making charges too, so if you are a first time gold buyer then buy from such outlets. The souq is most probably the place for chilling out rather than shopping. PRO TIP:- if you are looking to buy some abayas then buy from the shop on the side of the road rather than the backyard shops as the price they offer in the front row shops are usually fixed and are kept according to the quality of the material.

Wadi E Jin

Wadi E Jin, also known as Wadi e Jinn Al Baida, is a mysterious and enchanting mountainous area located about 30 kilometers north of Medina. It is famous for its rocky roads where cars seem to move without any driver input or acceleration. Local legends attribute this phenomenon to the power of jinns, with some claiming to have heard eerie voices urging them to leave the area. Geologists, however, explain it as a result of reverse gravity.
Just experienced the mind-blowing Anti-Gravity Flow & Drive in Madina with my brothers! Watching a car zoom in neutral gear without engine power was unreal! Allah's creation is truly amazing. And what a surprise! Compared to my last visit a few years ago, the roads have been upgraded to one-way streets with a speed limit of 110 km/h (from 80-90 km/h earlier)! The new infrastructure makes the experience even more thrilling! Highly recommend a visit to entertain you and your loved ones! 😍
Chaudhary I — Google review
My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn left me stunned and amazed. It is a place where nature shows a phenomenon beyond normal explanation. I witnessed the strong winds of the valley, and when I placed a bottle on the road, instead of rolling in the direction of the wind, it moved in the opposite way. It was both shocking and fascinating — an experience that made me pause in awe. What makes Wadi-e-Jinn even more special is the deep tranquility it holds. Despite the unusual occurrence, the valley is peaceful and calm. The silence of the desert, the rush of the mysterious winds, and the serenity of the surroundings create an atmosphere that touches the heart. This place reminds you of the greatness of Allah ﷻ and the unseen realities of this world. It makes you reflect on how vast creation is and how limited human understanding can be. Truly, Wadi-e-Jinn is a place where one feels humbled, reminded of the unseen (ghayb), and connected to the power of the Creator. Every moment spent there was not just a sight of nature’s wonder, but also a reminder that the universe is filled with signs (ayat) that point towards Allah’s majesty and wisdom.

Wadi A Jinn, Saudi - Pure Bliss! 😍 The mountain views are breathtaking, Mashallah! 🕊️ It's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty. Don't miss the camel ride and taste the camel milk - a unique experience! 🐫🥛 ⭐️

My visit to Wadi-e-Jinn was an incredible and magical experience. Watching our car defy gravity and roll uphill on its own was something I'll never forget. It was a truly happy and unforgettable part of our trip to Madina.
Najam H — Google review
Nice place to visit. It has very basic facilities. It seems cheerful for kids too.
Imran J — Google review
Wadi e Jinn has gained a reputation for being a place where strange things happen. One of the most talked-about phenomena is the "apparent gravity anomaly". Vehicles traveling in the valley often appear to move uphill by themselves, even when the road is supposed to have a downward slope. This optical illusion or magnetic anomaly has fascinated people for years, leading to various theories about the location. Some attribute it to the presence of Jinn, as per traditional beliefs, while others point to natural explanations like magnetic fields or geological oddities.
Ali B — Google review
Wadi e Jin is unlike anywhere else I’ve visited. The valley is surrounded by beautiful rocky mountains, and the atmosphere feels both calm and surreal. The most famous thing here is the natural phenomenon where vehicles seem to move on their own, even uphill, without pressing the accelerator. It’s an experience you really have to see in person to believe! The road is well-maintained, and the drive itself is very scenic. Many people stop to test the “gravity hill” effect, and it’s always fun to watch. The place has a unique charm because of the mix of natural beauty and the mystery behind it. If you’re in Madinah, I definitely recommend a short trip here—it’s only about 30 minutes away from the city. Best to visit in the morning or evening when it’s not too hot.
Sufyan M — Google review
Anti gravity flow and drive was a unique experience. My Kids enjoyed it a lot, an exciting place with a very high gravity force. Hence, the car is traveling at high speed in neutral without starting the engine. Masha Allah, we are amazed during this trip
