Temple on top of the mountain build on rocks. Gorgeous view for the sea and villages around. From the parking lot there's a 900m walk but it's really enjoyable. Temple itself is beautifully mounted into the mountain rocks. Great trip for the whole family.

We were lucky since there were plenty of parking spots at the closest lot. Still a big very steep walk to the temple, I would avoid very hot times of the day. Beautiful views and trails.

I absolutely loved my visit there. I went with a Korean friend who was able to explain some of the cultural elements. I strongly recommend to queue with the car (we waited for about 15min)in the first parking lot that is by the lake in order to access the road that goes further up to the upper parking lot. If you park in the first one you’ll have to add an extra hour of hiking on top on the 15-20 min it takes from the 2nd parking (where the ticket booth is) to the temple. If you don’t know there’s a little house with an old lady cooking a few dish and has instant ramens you can eat with an amazing view. It’s about a 10-15min walk from the temple, follow the sign “금산산장” and you should find it You might also see some of the few cats that are up there, although they can get a little feisty so I wouldn’t recommend giving them too much food !

Great hike to the top. Very peaceful but if you have been to other temples around Korea this looks pretty similar. The view of Namhae and rock formations however is beautiful. Climb a bit more to the top to the peak for a better view. Great of you want some mediation time to yourself as well. Need to buy tickets to park your car and separately for the hike up the temple and park

What a beautiful view!!! I was positively surprised how beautiful it was. We visited in december, so it was rather quiet (less people). I would recommend to arrive here rather earlier than later, as one has to wait to go from #1 parking place to #2 parking place if there are many cars in #2 parking place. During winter, if it snows, there are chances that they close the trail while they are cleaning up the snow. (It happened to us)

The view is stunning there and temple generally looks cool looking with colors that they have on the temple wall. It definitely worth hiking all the way up there. Ps: The breezy especially feels nice when you been sweating alot on the hiking there to get to there temple.

Wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. Be mindful of the weather as fog will hamper the views, though. After taking a bus to the main parking area, you'll still have lots of steep uphill (and downhill) walking left to get to the temple - about 1km. Once you arrive at the temple there's several hundred stairs you'll need to navigate as well. Bring appropriate footwear!

We went to Namhae for Oktoberfest and it was a lot of fun! When you arrive for this festival you park at the bottom of the hill and then they bus you to the top. There were a lot of tents selling food (pretzels, sausages, beer, ribs) and souvenirs. There were two large tents for entertainment and beer. There were a few things for kids to do- a small play area and a balloon artist. They had ice cream that was delicious! The village itself is very cute. I can see why people enjoy visiting here!

It does look like a small village in Germany. The entrance fee to the museum is okay and affordable. Everything in the museum is also labelled in German. Unfortunately the food variety is limited to sausages, pig's trotters, and beer. Still it was interesting to see!

A German town in Korea sounds very unique, but I personally think that was pretty much the whole extent of its character. Despite its history and name, I didn't find much resemblance of a Deutsche Berg. I guess this popular attraction transformed itself into a Korean attraction that sells a lot of food and items of German names. The whole town is surrounded by beautiful mountain landscape, but the much of Nam Hae island is beautiful. The food is nothing like the ones I tasted in Munich or Frankfurt. There was not enough parking and too many people. Everything was sooooo expensive. My family had some snacks, juice, and ice cream, took photos, and got out of there quickly. If you want to visit, keep your expectations low. Personally, I think you will find much more satisfaction with other parts in Nam Hae Island. Nevertheless, it will be a not so German Town in Korea experience.

A fun place to get some beers, have some German food, and enjoy the sites.

There is nothing special about this German village - the houses are built in German style, and there are a few restaurants that sell German foods like Schnitzel, sausage, and German beer. It can be nice for a short visit but, better to lower your expectation.

Nice place to visit or to spend the night. There are so many pension on the GermanVillageto meet all tastes. Of course sausages and beer rule!

The most beautiful place in Geoje. This is really good view. Windy hill is also near here. Many people visit here therefore in weekend and holiday especially summer time, traffic is terrible and very small parking lot. When you visit here, please enjoy the stone beach beside as well. Water is very clean and the wave sounds beautiful.

The attraction itself is free to enter; it’s just the parking costs 3000won. Payment is via cash or bank transfer if the parking attendant was there. We arrived on a Chuseok holiday at around 9am and the parking was still plenty. We spent around an hour there enjoying the beautiful weather and windy breeze; it’s perfect! The crowd started to grow big when we left. Encourage to come as early as you can to avoid the crowd. The hiking to the windy mill itself is not bad at all. Easy one I would say. Few benches available to rest or just enjoying the gorgeous weather. There are few shops and stalls before you hike up selling snacks and drinks. When we were there, there’s only one that opened but we didnt get anything. Overall the trip was excellent. Recommended to come and visit while you were in the island.

It’s boring, cheap looking, crowded and limited. This was one of the stops on our tour. The windmill is a prop that looks cheap and you can only walk in a limited area. The nature around it is nice but it’s definitely not worth going g to see this boring windmill.

Eh, so-so. Our family loves nature and being out and about, but Windy Hill is just that; a windy hill. It’s crowded and there’s honestly not much to see. The view is lovely but so are all the coastal views in Geoje, so I’m not sure it worth the traffic jams and heat (during summer) to climb up there for a pic of a windmill. I’d say go if you’ve got nothing else to do :)

Windy Hill in Geoje, South Korea, is one of those places that perfectly captures the peaceful charm of Korea’s southern coast. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the gentle sea breeze that gives the hill its name, along with sweeping ocean views that seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon. The picturesque windmill perched at the top is the highlight — it looks like a scene straight out of a storybook and makes for stunning photos, especially during sunset when the sky glows with warm, golden hues.

A special place with special memories. Take bus 55 from Gohyeon bus terminal and alight at Dokpo bus stop. Follow the path to Windy Hill - either via the residences and cruise terminal below or the path past the hot dog stands and restaurants. There are public toilets available where the cruise passengers embark and disembark.

Beautiful location. Need to walk upstairs for 5 minutes. We came in the first week of July and the weather was a bit misty and pleasant here :)

We have special experienced at Dongpirang village that is filled by painting all around. It's just like animation villige to us. In commemoration of our family trip, We paid about 50 dollars to a local artist and had him draw us. Also, We have enjoyed the nice view of Tongyoung, at the top of village. I hope you also have the special experience at Tongyoung if you come to South Korea.

Wonderful little area of town, hiking to the top brings you to a small temple and a beautiful surrounding view of the city. Make sure and go into the fish market as you make your way out to see the amazing selection of locally caught fish and sea life.

This village holds the traditional and cultural heritage that Tongyeong has to offer. The walls are painted with beautiful caricatures and the village has cute little cafes with an amazing view of the city lake in the center. The center of the village has a photo spot like any other place in Korea. A must visit if you are in Tongyeong.

Tongyeong Agenda 21 is the responsible association gathered people throughout the nation in order to paint murals on the wall of Dongpirang-gil street in October 2007. This hillside village on the sea became a new place, revitalised by the art. The house design and roads are unique too. The view overlooking sea of Gangguan Port is fantastic as well.

The sunset view over Tongyeong from the mural village is excellent. The sun sets just over the hills behind the town. The mural village takes approx 20 mins to walk through and there are many cafes and some small shops along the walk. Some of the art is great, some needs reworking due to aging but generally it’s a great site to visit Edie silly for the panoramic views over the city and surrounding areas. There are toilets along the route and parking at the bottom of the village.

걷는곳 계속 쭉 ~~ Mural Village. It is a place full of paintings on the walls of a small town. It is a pretty neighborhood with a view of the sea, where you can relax quietly, with cafes and small shops. You will have to walk for a long time, so please wear comfortable shoes.

I came when it rained this time, so I couldn't walk the whole thing. But it's a place I really want to come back and walk to the end. The only cost is parking. It was a very rainy situation, but the atmosphere and the view are so good. It was a clean, well-organized park.

the park is great... steep hill going in that must be walked as cars are left behind in the parking lot... beautiful views... we walked here from the ferry terminal... not recommended as the streets are lined with shops that support the fishing and ferry fleet... take a taxi instead, or drive... small shop with drinks next to the parking lot.

Nice park, but not much to see besides the Admiral statue and a decent view of the city. Hard to get to especially if routed through the port area.

Of all the places I visited while in Tongyeong, this was my absolute favorite. I visited on May 3, 2018, a sunny, breezy day, the perfect weather for exploring the many paths to be found in the park. In fact, I was so enchanted by the trails and the glorious views that I ended up spending over four hours exploring them and actually returned to the entrance of the park so that I could check out some of the paths I hadn't taken earlier. The other reason I did so was to check out the museum, but despite the fact that I was there on a Thursday, when it was supposedly open, I found that not to be the case. On the one hand, since Lee Sun Shin is one of my heroes, I was a bit disappointed, however, on the other hand, the park itself was enough to keep me very satisfied. If I lived in Tongyeong, I could easily imagine visiting it at least weekly if not more frequently. The only negative thing I have to say about the park is that I would never have found it if I hadn't been driven there by a local! I had planned to visit it the previous day, by going there on foot, and I seriously believe I would have given up my quest; the approach provides no indication that the park is nearby, something I verified as I was leaving it.

Nice park dedicated to the legendary Yi Sun Shin. Nice memorials overlooking the seas where some of his famous battles were fought. Beautiful landscape both from the gardening and layout of the park and the views over the archipelago and various islands dotted off the coastline. Good signs with information about the history and achievements of Yi Sun Shin. This place is with a visit if you are staying in the area. It’s free entry but the car parking has a fee.

Such a nice park for a walk and picnic. It is also a good place to watch a sunset. If you don't like crowded place, I recommend you to visit here in the evening.

Nice park to visit especially with kids! Great views from the top and an adventure/zip line course at the end. The trail can be a little slippery so wear good shoes. There's also a cute bakery/gift shop by the entrance called 거제는 달달섬 that sells really yummy sandwich cookies with cute characters

There are not much things to see here. The best time to come for the visit are during spring and autumn to hike, because the park is build at the hillside, so you are required to follow the pathway to go up to the hill.

Fun bamboo hike. Can be a bit crowded and hard to navigate with the large groups that tend to take up the whole pathway. Has a little zip line but its definitely for kids. The views are fantastic though and if you have it in you to make it to the top it is definitely worth the views.

I just felt in love with that place , so peaceful, and relaxing, people there are really kind and cool , you should try the bambo acholic drink , definitely worth visit again and again , better stay in city hall so you want find a big problem when it comes to transportation

Good place to have an experience in bamboo forest. More to casual kind of trekking. Suitable for weekends with family and friends. Really clean and the view was very beautiful (from the peak can see view towards the sea and other islands).

Another nice place in Geoje Island with beautiful views and preserved nature. Bring your family here. It's a good place for children spend time outdoors and enjoy korean nature.

Very calm and beautiful place if you like plant/bamboo. The bamboo alley is really nice you can relax and breath in clean air. The entrance fee is very cheap and there are spots in the park where you can take photos(fake panda, tiger, etc.)

National Jinju Museum is operated as a “specialized museum of the Imjin War,” focusing on the history and culture of the western Gyeongsangnam-do region and the Imjin War. It offers a variety of video content and edu-tainment programs related to the war, making it a truly beautiful and enjoyable place to visit.

Very nice museum that explain medieval Korean history well enough with visuals and real historical objects from the past. There are many exhibitions, lightning and organization of the museum is great. There are cafes, small resting areas and beautiful Athmosphere around the museum. The is no way smokers could find any place to smoke here. Sorry about it. There is also one souvenir shop here that you an buy the replicas of historical objects.

Really love this place, well managed and organized. The theme changes sometimes for guests can enjoy new dimension, especially it’s free of charge. Highly recommended this museum.

Museum is interesting. It tells about a 7-year-long Imjin war that started in 1592 as Japan invaded Korea. It is located right on the territory of the fortress. We liked the museum gift shop too.

Impressive in its museography. It's dynamic and you get to learn a lot thanks to its videos and explanations on the walls. Plenty of info in English.

Has a lot of English explanation as compared to other museums in Korea and I enjoyed the collection and effort put into this museum

The fortress offers well-preserved walls, scenic views of the Nam River, and several historical landmarks. The grounds are well-maintained and make for a pleasant walk. There is an entrance fee, but it is reasonable given the site’s significance, plus it includes access to the Museum, which was quite good. Overall, it is a great place to explore history and enjoy the surroundings.

Avery beautiful medieval Korean castle. It's history is complicated you may read from the information plates. But it is definately a must see place. There are many monuments, shrines of important people, beautiful forestation, amazing views, a great museum and alot of space to chill, rest and take photos. I thing this is the best place to hang out in Jinju.

Must visit place. Nice park with good history. The ChokSukLoo is the famous place because of Korean geisha story who commit suicide holding Japanese invader general while they had party to conquer the city long time before.

Beautifully preserved and maintained landmark park. The place is huge and we had a wonderful walk amidst the late summer heat. There are a lot of trees that provided plenty of shade. There are old buildings from the 1500s that they were able to restore. The fortress is has the river on one side so the view from the pathways and gazebos there was beautiful. You can also see several memorials for the fallen heroes of the battle of Jinju. Stop by the museum to learn more. I would love to come back in October for the famous lantern festival.

Nice park, cool fortress but if you’re planning to come here, plan on being here for at least 2 hours. It’s big.

A beautiful place at day to roam. You would enjoy the walk and the green of its grass and trees. The national museum is a must. Great museography and spectacular items in display. Entering the fortress costs less than 2 euros per person so don't doubt it. The museum is free.

Such a colorful and artistic place to explore! 🎨 The whole village feels like a giant open-air gallery with amazing murals, cute cafés, and lovely spots for photos. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially under the clear blue sky. Sitting on the yellow moon with The Little Prince statue was such a fun moment! 🌙 Definitely a must-visit when in Busan — full of charm, creativity, and great memories. 💛

What an amazing village. Originally a settlement for Korean War refugees, it has been transformed into a vibrant arts and culture area with cafés, workshops. Locals also still lives there. You can get lost for hours admiring all pieces of arts and colours. It is quite busy but it's totally worth it Map is recommended if you want to get to specific highlights

A real tourist attraction not to be missed including all the shops you get as you walk along the paths. Wear comfortable shoes and prepare your knees for the up and down and over and back up again. Still loved it. I came on a day tour so consider those tours for Busan

Gamcheon Culture Village is so spectacular and an absolute must see. We weren't aware of the opening time of the shops so arrived reasonably early in the morning. This however turned out to be excellent for us as the village was quiet. We met lots of friendly locals out exercising and had access to the prominent photo spots for ourselves. At one stage we sat outside the sports building, located at the top back of the village. From the top of the building, there is a viewing platform. It was not meant to open until 9am however the extremely kind staff in the building let us in and gave us a personalised escort to the roof. We had access to the whole area ourselves! The village is free to visit and is open all the time. The shops and eateries however don't open until 9am. By the time we finished taking in the views, the shops and other tourists began to arrive. This gave us a good chance to shop for souvenirs and take in more of the atmosphere. To me the village is an absolute must see!

Absolutely worth visit! Lots of super cute cafes, Lookouts, Photos spots and souvenir shops. I would allow at least a couple of hours to really take your time and explore, and go either very early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds. Easy enough to get a taxi in and out.

This place is absolutely gorgeous even though it is very busy with tourists. There are cars driving up the path (which pedestrians share with vehicles). There are a lot of incline steps or slopes. Any photo spots are just full of people with the worst waiting line spot being the little prince amd fox looking out (that was 20+ mon waiting time, a security staff will manage the queue). There are plenty of souvenir shops and cafes.

I went here on a beautiful sunny day on my first day in Busan. The views were amazing, the sun was there but the wind felt cool. I stopped by this handmade souvenir shop and bought this cute little lobster keychain and the woman who ran the store gave me a four leaf clover charm as a gift. Gamcheon has been so lovely and I hope I can see it again someday.

During our 4-day, 3-night stay in Busan, we ended up having brunch and lunch twice at this spot. Yes, it was that good! We went all out with the seafood (i.e: king crab, snow crab, live octopus, spicy raw crab, and of course, Korea’s signature delicacy; abalone - both grilled and in porridge form). We highly recommend the steamed king crab. It’s a must-try! And if you’re ordering the abalone porridge, pair it with the spicy raw crab. The flavors truly complement each other. Since we shared everything among the four of us, the cost was surprisingly affordable, and we ate like royalty.

Jagalchi Market is one of those Busan Things to Do. The seafood market on the ground floor is fun for tourists to explore and take photos of the live wiggly seafood. The upstairs contains all the food stalls and dry seafood vendors. There are about 50 food stalls and seating for thousands. It is built to cater to tourists. We were there for a late lunch/early dinner at about 4pm on a dreary October Thursday, so it was pretty empty. We were hungry and decided to to try a Jagalchi food stall. FWIW, we chose Food Stall No. 9 "Yong Gong" because the old lady seemed nice. We ordered fresh grilled eel and seafood onion pancake, plus drinks. Well, the seafood was fresh (but I always select places where the seafood is supposed to be fresh (unless it is something like a McDonald's filet-o-fish sandwich) and I am rarely disappointed. Any place that sells marginal seafood does not last long. The total price of KRW76,000 was one of our three highest priced meals during our trip. Not outrageous, but we ate at a small seafood restaurant in a back alley near Gwangalli for about the same price and that meal and dining experience was a superb 5*. If comparing the two places, I would only give Jagalchi 3*. But I got a touristy photo proving that I was there, so that counts for something.

Downstairs is the fresh market, upstairs is the restaurant. You can buy stuff downstairs and they can cook it upstairs or you can just go upstairs and order from the menu and they'll cook it all for you, which is what my mom and I did. It's easier. All the restaurants upstairs almost sells all the same things, but we opted to go to stall 41 named Chung Cheong do. Owned by an older couple very nice. They didn't pressure you to buy! Because it can get overwhelming. They just explained what the menu was and what they can do for you. We really like this place because if you order the sashimi, you get a soup with it. They'll boil the fish and the bone into the spicy soup shown in the picture. Everything was very fresh very delicious and my mom is a picky eater so she knows quality. We came back to the same place for late lunch and ordered the clams and steamed king crab!

There are some local seafood stores outaide the Jagalchi Marjet building, these are more for people to buy seafood for home cooking. The onsode of the Jagalchi market has many seafood stores and you are able to select seafood of your choice and be sent upstairs for cooking (it requires additional cooking fee). The cooking fee is standardised across all kitchen and generally the seafood shop have their recommended one (so you can't really choose which stall to kitchen to cook for you). There is a seating fee of 5000 WON per person; seafood steaming is 10000 WON, other cooking style is 20000 WON. Most seafood store owners can speak soke broken engly, communication isn't too difficult. It was a fun experience to shop around, seeing fresh seafood in a wet market. There are a great selection of local seafood that are often unheard of overseas.

I am from a coastal town so the market wasn't anything new for me, dishes that were unique to the South Korea was something to see. We were a large group and took a walk around teg market with our guide. Noticed that not all stall owners were friendly, I agree that if we are not buying why stand in front of their stall and waste time. But a few of them were darlings and explained all the dishes that can be made with them. I met a a few extremely friendly people at the market.

Very touristy destination but we found that prices weren't too unreasonable. The ground floor has many seafood vendors, and once you pick one you can ask for it to be cooked and served upstairs. All the vendors have pretty much the same variety of seafood, so you just need to pick your favourite in terms of prices and communication. Overall very enjoyable, just need to be aware of tourist pricing.

Good to experience Korea's biggest seafood market. Definitely straight off the sea. Alot of touting. Be sure to choose those with price tag to avoid being overcharged.

At around 3pm on 25 March, 2025, our party of 12 people came. We didn’t see any cherry blossoms. What we saw was one of our members helping an elderly with her cart crossing a bridge where we posed for a group photo, it was so heartwarming.

Absolutely worth visiting in Jinhae at any time during the cherry blossom season (and quite honestly there’s no much in the area for food, cafes and bars/karaoke at any time of the year). We decided to stay in Jinhae to have more flexibility and peace about visiting the stream and the whole suburb is covered in cherry blossom trees! There were more people around during the day on tours, but the lights reflect off the flowers and stream’s water at night, so really night is a completely new experience alongside the street food and stalls. It’s day 1 of the festival today and we will be back for the flowers in full blossom one day. We loved it here!

I visited during the cherry blossom festival this year with a tour group and I would highly recommend the tour for this because I primarily travel with the the subway and this allowed me to take their bus to this location and back to Busan. It was also a good mix of guided / planned time and wandering around to investigate whatever peaked my interest. I travel solo and the rest of the tour group provided social interaction for a day which I enjoyed. I booked it on the Klook site and the name of it was "Jinhae Pink Cherry Blossom Festival Tour from SEOUL / BUSAN". There was plenty to do at this destination, snacks, photo ops, drinks, and local restaurants.

The Most Beautiful Place on Earth – Yeojwacheon Cherry Blossom Festival in Jinhae I had the absolute privilege of visiting Yeojwacheon during Jinhae’s cherry blossom season, and I can say without exaggeration—it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The entire stream was lined with endless rows of cherry blossoms, their petals dancing in the breeze like pink snow. The sight was breathtaking, something out of a dream or a movie scene. It’s no wonder people from all over the world found their way here. What amazed me the most was not just the scenery, but how international the atmosphere felt. I overheard languages from all over—English, Chinese, Japanese, French. It made me wonder: how did people from so many different countries hear about this hidden gem in Korea? It’s a testament to just how globally beloved the Jinhae Cherry Blossom Festival has become. The crowds were large, yet everyone seemed to be in a peaceful and joyful mood, taking in the natural beauty with wide eyes and camera phones constantly snapping. What’s even more remarkable is that it wasn’t just Yeojwacheon that was celebrating—the entire district of Jinhae felt like a massive, vibrant festival. Every street was decorated, food stalls were everywhere, local music filled the air, and people wore smiles that reflected the joy of spring. It felt like the whole city had come alive to celebrate the arrival of cherry blossoms. I’ve traveled to many places, but Jinhae during cherry blossom season is something else entirely. It’s not just a place to take pretty photos—it’s a place to feel wonder, to share beauty with strangers, and to be reminded of how magical nature can be. I can’t recommend it enough. If you ever get the chance, this is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Worth the travel and anticipation, everything was truly magical! 🌸🌸🌸 The Cherry Blossom Festival was an enchanting experience that beautifully captured the essence of spring. The trees were in full bloom, creating a breathtaking canopy of pink and white petals that seemed to stretch endlessly across the park. The atmosphere was vibrant yet peaceful,l everyone was coming together to celebrate the fleeting beauty of the blossoms. The sense of both locals and tourists were astounding. Everyone was in high spirits, sharing smiles and conversations with strangers, all united by the beauty of the blossoms. The festival did get quite crowded, especially in the afternoon, making it difficult to find a good spot for viewing the trees or participating in some of the activities. Arriving early is definitely recommended to fully enjoy the experience.

Beautiful place to take a walk during the cherry blossom festival ✨

To anyone looking for a place to enjoy, relax and feel the spring vibe (especially for people living in a tropical country like me where there is only hot, hotter, and hottest type of weather), this river is the right one for you. We went there during the full bloom season of cherry blossoms and my experience is priceless. It was raining in the evening upon our arrival but it only added to the mood that I was feeling - excited. The river is a long one so make sure to see all the stops there and the food stalls around it sells tasty and affordable korean dishes. There are various coffee shops available too for any coffee lover out there so you won't have to worry about that. Make sure to come and visit this river of you happen to be in Jinhae and let me know what you felt.

Interesting place to walk around in Busan. As a traveler I have been many places and the venders here are not too pushy, therefore you feel comfortable and safe. Boy do they have a lot of stuff!!! Don't bother with the jello ball, it was so weird!!! It's like jello covered in peanut butter powder or something, just a scam. The pastry fried and filled with seeds and honey, now that was good!! You can get it with cheese and honey or just honey. Very worth it, very cheap. We also tried the dumplings, very good.

It's a colourful market with many shops to explore, roadside shopping top along with roadside food stalls. My group has fun roaming around one lane to another. Shopping for souvenirs top, which some said was cheaper than the big cities, so do try shopping here.

Very large market located in Busan, selling a diverse variety of products and goods. Just from strolling here, you can buy blankets, clothes, pots and pans, and much more for very reasonable prices. I recommend coming here for a traditional market experience, since it had so many vendors selling very many products.

A unique experience with over 1,500 shops. The food was reasonably priced. Not all the street vendors take credit card. Some took Yen and one of the street vendors kept 500 extra Yen and didn't give us the correct food. Due to the language barrier we just let it go. Just be aware of this possible issue of being overcharged. It was very crowded.

I have visited many markets around the world. Most of them are similar. And I’m not looking to buy souvenirs or anything for a home or clothing so … the Gukje Market was just ok. Not unique. Coffee at Cong Caphe was terrific.

Hudge indoor out door mall. Very traditional. Very lively. Sells everything from clothes to house wares, cleaning supplies and repair parts. Most of it is in sections. Makes shopping a little easier.

The park is quite clean and not many people were there. Escalator was functioning going up the hill where the Busan tower is. Quite high. I think it’s like 5-6 times of the escalator size in the photo. With the escalator, the journey going up wasn’t bad and took less than 10mins. Going down is just via stairs and quite fast. Lovely place up there. Took a break on the swing enjoying the humid weather and spent a little while taking photos. Once you’re up on the hill, there’s like small colourful shops selling souveniors etc. Some were closed when we were there. Spent like about half and hour or so. Great view and it was okay if you have extra time to spend in Busan.

Yongdusan Park is a lovely spot to relax in Busan. It’s peaceful with nice walking paths and great views. You can also visit the Busan Tower nearby. A great place for a quiet break!

Nearby are Daecheong-dong, Nampo-dong, Gwangbok-dong, Bupyeong-dong, Jagalchi and International Market. The area around Busan City Hall is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering plenty of seating and open space to relax. Busan city hall area is very big. It consists of Busan police headquarters, City council and a small park. We can visit by bus and metro easily. It serves some administrative works always as well as some events, conferences and ceremonis often. Then there are many people around. We can ask anything to information desk, buy some stuffs inside store and have a lunch with cheap prices.

We visited on a Sunday at 3pm on a summertime and it was so hot and humid. We were already in the area and thought, "Why not?". The theme park provides little to no shade so be mindful of the time of your visit. The area is huge and the concept us similar to the Universal Studios movie set in LA. This one has real Korean houses from the 50s-80s. I saw a trolley/train stationed in one area but since there's not a lot of people, it was not operating and we walked around instead. Personally, it is not as interesting as the Suncheon Film Set. You can also rent costumes here if you want to walk around dressed as your favorite movie character.

Entering the park is fast, but riding the monorail takes 20- 30 minutes. Riding the monorail was the best because you can see the beautiful mountain view. It was good. If you're a Damunhwa family, you can enter free - just bring your ID.

Visit before or after Haeinsa Temple if you have kids. It's a place for Korean film sets. Do not expect too much. It's not like Universal Studio. You can stay over night there in Japanese style garden(4 rooms available) run by very nice old Korean couple, not like other ugly old couple. You can cook there, too. You can ask for BBQ grill at no charge. Call ahead of time. Very quiet at night!

It's very hard to get here through public transport, so taking a car (if possible) is definitely recommended. But the theme park itself is very interesting. Especially if you like historical Korean dramas or films, the probability of recognising a part of the park is quite high. Also, (almost) right next to it is a fake cheongwadae (the Blue House of the president), which is interesting to see as well (and you can go inside).

I went here with friends and loved strolling around this park to enjoy nature. Such a peaceful place to relax and walk around. A bike rental shop will be at the front of the park. I suggest renting a bike so you can explore the whole park, which is enormous. My friends and I rented a few cycles (some even rented tandem bikes), which was a lovely experience. There's so much wildlife in this park and beautiful birds. Many people come here to go bird-watching, so you'll see a bunch of photographers. In the center of the park, there's a history museum where you can learn about the wetland and the animals that inhabit the ecosystem. There's also a cute cage filled with rabbits, LOL. I went here for a day trip from Daegu on Friday afternoon to see the sunset, it was calm and nice to be around the whole swamp. This is the location of the largest inland wetlands in South Korea. It is also a paradise for many varieties of ducks. There for it is well worth the visit. There is a road around the lakes and grasslands that makes the visit very easy by car. The best way to visit is with a bicycle as one cannot park at all the locations near to the lake edge. I highly visiting in the Spring and Fall. That is the time when it is teeming with wildlife. In late October there were large flights of ducks and geese and cranes flying over the area and landing for a rest. There are also paths where one can walk amount the high grass and get very close to the wildlife. I also noted a few blinds where one can use their telephoto lens and really acquire excellent close ups of the ducks and geese. If you like pond and lake life this is one of the best locations in South Korea to experience this. We took the train to Daegu and rented a car and drove for about one half hour to this location. Recommend that you set aside at least two hours as there is so much to see. Also there are flat bottom boats that are available for experiencing all away from the shore. Do go there and enjoy this paradise!

This is a beautiful Buddhist temple. It is a very important temple in Korea. It was thankfully not bombed during the Korean War. Orders were given to a North Korean pilot to bomb the temple as it was believed UN troops were using the area, but fortunately the pilot knew the importance of this sacred temple and he only machine gunned along an outer perimeter and did not cause significant damage to the temple, but reported that he had bombed it. There is a river that runs along one side of the temple grounds. The tripitaka library is on the temple grounds. It is best to see the Tripitaka Library for information about the very famous library.

Visited this wonderful temple during our recent trip to South Korea. It is a very scenic 1 hour bus ride from the Seobu bus station (not from the Dongdaegu bus terminal) in the town of Daegu. There is a short uphill treck to this temple complex. Lucky for us, there were morning ceremonies taking place when we went, chanting, drum beating by a group of monks, and an aerial display of dogfight practice (with flares) by two sets of fighter jets up above our heads. This temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site. There is extensive online writeup - that is a must read - regarding the storage of the Buddhist Tripitaka. Buddhist religious scrolls on wooden boards. Very impressive!! There is also a temple stay provision for those so inclined to immerse themselves in the natural serenity for a longer time. A full day trip (longer if possible) will do justice. Note - while one can pay for the bus trip to Haeinsa Temple by card at the Seobu Bus Station - the return trip has no such flexibility. The return trip is only payable by cash on the bus. Lucky for me, there is an ATM that accepts global cards on the temple premises - where i had withdrawn some cash, prior to our return.

We were also accompanied by a full-time English interpreter, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. While reaching the location can be quite challenging without a car, but still worth a visit for a temple stay if you’re spending quite a long time in Korea.

Ancient Zen (Seon) monasteries are usually located in the mountains - in remote secluded areas, which are hard to access. I might have never reached Haeinsa if there hadn't been a cultural program called “Temple stay”, which exists for over fifteen years. Technically, it gives everyone an opportunity to try to live monastic lifestyle for a few days. Philosophically, it is a chance to learn about your true self, talk to your inner self. Haeinsa temple, situated in the Gaya mountains, often embraced with fog, is well-known for being home to "Tripitaka Koreana" - a complete collection of the Buddhist scriptures carved on more than 80,000 wooden blocks. It was here, where I did my "Temple stay". Once you sign up for the program, you have to follow a set routine. First 24 hours at the monastery might seem to pass slowly in the beginning, but soon they actually fly. A monk's day starts at 3.30 am with the tolling of a majestic bell. Visitors gather at the main hall for the morning ritual. The sound of the throbbing Dharma drum reverberates and wakes up even peaceful mountain peaks. There is a morning practice of 108 prostrations and one hour for meditation before having monastic meals at 6 am. There is a prayer at 10 am, lunch at 12 noon, dinner at 5 pm and night ritual at 6 pm. The rest of the hours can be spent walking around the back of the mountain, performing Zen meditation, or having conversations with monks. Along with the other participants I was invited for teatime with a monk. "At the temple, I hope, you will learn wisdom and life skills rather than intellectual knowledge about Buddhism", - he said.

I stayed this temple for 3 days due to meditation program. It's bit far from Seoul, almost 5 hours and half. But the nature, heritage, programs, monk, most being in this temple was quite impressive and beautiful, full of joy even include almost people I met. I totally recommend to stay this temple who seeing my review.

Apsan Park Beautiful spot with a full view of Daegu city. Amazing hiking experience! As always, Korea impresses with well arranged hiking trails. This one is no exception.

Fabulous city park. Hike. Walk. Cable car. You want to summit? You got choices.

What a hike for this mountain. I took the patriot trail which starts from the military memorial at the bottom. Lots of steep and uneven trails. There is also a good amount of stairs near the top that make it even more tiring. The view is very well worth it when you make it to the top. I did the cable car back down. There is also a nice restaurant at the top that has an English menu.

This is a beautiful mountain which is easily accessible from most parts of Daegu! I really love visiting here during fall to see the beautiful colourful leaves, but it is a great place to visit all year round. Apsan is walkable if you like hiking and it has amazing beautiful night views, however if you are like me and enjoy taking the cable car then it is also possible for around 12,000 won! There is a restaurant and coffee shop at the top and a stunning view point!

I have been to Duryu Park several times, and each time has been fun! Right next door is E-World and the 83 tower! Where you can play to your heart's content. I usually always go there every summer for the Chimak Festival in Daegu. At this festival, many people from all over Korea come to eat delicious chicken and drink various drinks, especially beer! I enjoy going so I can have a good time, vibe with my friends, and, of course, for the love of chicken. Lol. Duryu Park is a really calm and comfortable place to walk around. It’s big, clean, and perfect if you just want to relax or enjoy some fresh air. I liked the peaceful vibe and the green scenery. A nice spot to spend some quiet time in the city.

Duryu Park is home to many great spaces such as e-world and 83 Tower. Most importantly, the spot for the Chimak Festival that happens every year in Daegu.Its basically a festival where people can eat food and drink whatever they like. Enjoyed good vibes, music, performances, and the love of chicken. It was my first time going this year, and it was just so much fun. Made new friends and just danced to the music. Enjoyed my time there 🥰 even if you go on a normal day, Duryu Park is a nice place for having a picnic, enjoying nature, and basking in the sun.

Last week a spectacular Daegu Chimac Festival 2024 was held in Duryu Park, Daegu. It was such a great experience to attend this grande festival. I went with my friends and we enjoyed a lot. We had Daegu's best ever chicken paired with some fresh beer. The most attractive thing from the festival was the DJ's performance. It was fun, energetic and super crowded. Daegu was succesfully organized this biggest summer festival. I would love to attend next year Daegu's Chimac Festival 2025 :D

Beautiful park for a walk, and if you want a bit of a challenge walk all the way up the hill, the view is great. The pond is a beautiful spot for pictures. Theres a handful of locals that go to the park for their daily walks and exercise.

Sometimes a relaxing walk through the trees sometimes picnic with friends sometimes romantic dates 🥰 Also I went to ChiMac Festival in 2023 and 2024 🍺🐔 Daegu ChiMaek festival is a time that I look forward to because it is so much fun with all the events going on and I enjoy dancing with different genres of music ❣️

Loved visiting the traditional Korean Seomun market during our recent visit to Daegu. Enjoyed walking the streets and inside the market lined with local offerings of food, clothing, travel accessories and the friendly bustle of a local market. Took advantage of the local offerings of Tteokbokki and Hotteok - lip smacking good!! We also found a store selling local made candy and got a kilo of these little sugar delicacies - milk, pumpkin, peanut flavors, etc. The owner of the store topped off our purchase with a generous handful - on the house!! Worth visiting every nook and cranny of this wonderful market.

For a true Daegu local experience, this market is a must-visit location. There is a wholesale trade section for wet and dried seafood, a huge multi-level section for retail fashion clothings and kitchenware, an array of street food vendors, a section for popular local restaurants and the amazing list goes on… Expect heavy traffic in this area and suggest to arrive/depart by train. I tried to book a taxi via app and was unsuccessful at about 5pm.

We hit the weekend night market which is just good down the main street. Great food and some of the best street food we had in Korea was here. There was love music and places to eat the food you got from the vendors as well. Overall a fun experience and worth going to if there on a weekend evening. We all went in the day time to look around and buy a hanbok which there are many options. A very large market that we barely got to see when there was we ran out of time. Do watch some of the vendors give cheap wire underdress with the hanbok.

This market is not only for street food, you can literally find anything in here. I enjoyed my lunch, dinner and dessert here. Also I bought some souvenirs. It was really fun to wander around in this market👍❤️ great experience

This market is the most famous in Daegu and for good reason! The street food is incredible and very affordable, not to mention the vast variety of independent stalls and crafts which are sold here! This place is very busy, so I would suggest going before or after lunch unless you are going to eat here! Easily accessible and a great local day in Daegu!

I stayed in a hotel at walking distance to Seomun market and incidentally explored it by searching on Google. It is a super large and vibrant traditional market. I bought some winter stuff at very good price. I surprisingly saw the dishes much like which we also had in my country (pork intestines tasting so good). In front of the market there are bus lines including no.2&3 connecting with the old village attraction. Worthy to experience!

So many things to see, eat and shop.

I had visited before in the past and I recently visited again. It is a very serene place where people worship buddha so there is no noise and visitors and just walk around taking in the ambience.

Love it from the begging to the end! One of the peaceful places I ever been. Forest, temple, status, lantern, cascade~ evrrything! I enjoyed so much! Prepare your camera and a confy shoes, you will enjoy the architecture and the nature at the same time!

This is located in the North part of South Korea, it is one of the famous temples over there located in the mountain. Around 1hr of trekking is required to reach the base.

This is a very beautiful temple in a spectacular setting. The giant Buddha is amazing and set off against the lush green trees. When the sky is bright blue the whole setting is gorgeous. The very short walk to the Buddha with the stream and waterfall is very relaxing.

No matter how much the civilization of the world has changed, the harmonized lines of the roof tiles of Donghwasa Temple and the lines of Palgong Mountain are still beautiful enough to take your breath away. Even a casual stroll in and around the temple will leave you feeling refreshed. But there's a thing you must be careful of. Do not visit Donghwasa Temple in October and November, when autumn is in full swing. You might have a feeling of being in heaven which can cause your mind to disembodied.

I went there 17th of August ‘22. Bus 1 dropped me off at the main centre point. From there, it's about a 15 min walk. There is a tunnel you have to go through, but there is someone there where you have to buy tickets from (3000kw) for one access. It was there at 8 am, so it was quiet. People are already praying. When you turn right, you have to walk for just 5 min, and then you find the giant Buddha statue. One thing I love about Korea is not only at this place - clean toilets everywhere, more hygienic than my hostel 😂 and you can pay with your card if you want to buy a souvenir. Worth it. It takes approx. ~ 1.5 hours, so you can combine it with the cable cart.

While chasing the dying, everywhere lacks energy; everything is muddled; everyone is confused. Especially me, all senses are closed here. I wouldn't meditate. Why did I come for this?

Really beautiful and well maintained provincial park. You get to experience nature and Korean history with a variety of landmarks on the trail from temples to caves. If you are hiking to the peaks it's an intermediate hike but there is an option of taking the cable car to one of the temples if you are looking for a strain free day. Getting to the mountain is also easy, a 5 minute (approx., 4,000 KRW) taxi ride from Gumi Station. Plus, plenty of eating options at the bottom of the mountain.

Took the cable car up and walked back down. Beautiful park and definitely a nice day out if you are in Gumi.
