I visited Lenyadri Caves and the famous Girijatmaj Ganpati Temple with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience! The climb of around 300 stairs was a fun challenge, rewarded by panoramic views and refreshing natural beauty. The caves are a fascinating glimpse into ancient history, and the temple carved from a single rock is truly unique and spiritual. The temple area was clean and well maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere made the visit even more special. Locals were helpful, and plenty of small shops at the base made the trip convenient. Seniors can opt for palki service for ease, and I highly recommend visiting in the morning to avoid heat and crowds.

Straight Upward climbing , Need 30 min to climbing, Entry fees 25/- pr person. No proper maintenance by archaeological survey of India , Some of the caves are not accessible due to improper entrance. Buddhist Caves but Encroachment is done by Hindus, in one cave a wall sculpture painted with orange colour sendoor and started worshiping an a prist is there to do so.

An awesome Ganpati temple located within caves, featuring amazing architecture. Situated high on a hill, it offers a palkhi service for those who are unable to climb the steps, although they charge ₹1500 per person and are firm on the pricing. In addition to the Ganpati idol, there are chambers within the caves that house a Shivling. A stupa is also present, reflecting elements of Buddhist architecture. The closing time of temple is 6:30 p.m.

Their stay is too costly. Not well maintained. Had no cloth hanger in our room. All our clothes were lying everywhere, Frequent power cut. The cupboard was dusty and had spider web 🕸️ Apart from us (married couple) there was just one family couple that too they checked-in late night (even on Saturday-Sunday.

One of the Beautiful place in Lonavla. Must visit place. But you can not go near this Kune waterfalls why because it is under private property now. So we can see this from a distance at Khandala Monkey view point. The view is just Amazing. U can't get over from the view. You can find food stalls there and you can eat breakfast and lunch also.

There was nothing. Google map ended abruptly. Still we went ahead long in search of Kune Falls. There was a beautiful Jungle and some fields to watch. Locals said there is no such falls.

Good place to visit for fun and joy. Road towards waterfall is very raw and cars with low ground clearance may get damaged due to big rocks on the raw road. There are many waterfalls you can enjoy on the way.

The directions on google maps is wrong and the actual entrance is 4kms ahead. The path to the falls is also really bad and can only be trekked. Do not take your cars. Would not recommend.

No proper location and way to visit June falls, we searched way around 30min but the location ended in centre road.. I suggest for 4 wheelers who planning to visit please don’t visit instead of this please visit bhusi dam No way for 4 wheelers

Once you reach, there are steps that take you up to the caves, and the climb is manageable. The main cave is impressive with its large pillars and old Buddhist architecture—perfect for photography and for people who enjoy historical sites. However, there are a few issues you should be aware of: Parking is not well managed. There is some confusion, and it feels like they only focus on collecting money rather than providing proper service. No proper receipt is given, which does not feel professional. Extra Gram Panchayat Toll – ₹50 You must pay an additional toll before entering the zone. Again, the road is not in good condition despite charging the toll. Road Quality The road leading to the caves is not well maintained, which can make the drive a bit uncomfortable. Parking Area Even after paying, the parking area is not organized or properly maintained. Apart from these issues, the overall experience of visiting the caves is wonderful. The historical value, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beauty of the ancient carvings make it a must-visit destination if you are in or around Lonavala.

The caves were really nice! We visited the first floor, which was great. The area on the right-hand side was restricted due to heavy leakage. The main attraction, located just behind the Ekvira Temple, is peaceful and definitely worth a visit. Entry fees 25 for indians.

The caves are of Buddhist monastery. There’s also a temple of Ekvira Ai temple which is popular among the local public. Hence the place remains very crowded. The Chaitya graha is the only place which has marvellous rock cut arts. Outside this the Ashoka pillar gives you a clue of the age of the caves. Due to too much of crowd place is not well kept. Tiger Point in Lonavala is a calm and peaceful spot, perfect for spending some relaxing time. The view is truly enjoyable, especially when it’s cloudy or raining. On a sunny day, it might feel a bit uncomfortable due to the heat and sweat, but otherwise it’s a great experience. There is ample parking space available, and plenty of local shops around offering tea, coffee, maggi, fruits, and other snacks. A nice place to stop by if you’re visiting Lonavala.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. You have to climb all the way up from Lonavla city just to see this view. The view is lovely but not as worth it to come. This place must be crowded in the monsoons due to waterfalls but I think it would not be great to visit in monsoons as well. I did not get why this is called as the lions point. Seriously! The worst part is that the staff took ₹50/- for parking. We just stayed for around 5 min but still. They should keep a time limit of the parking of vehicles. Had a wonderful visit to Lion’s Point & Tiger’s Point, Lonavala. The rainy weather added a magical touch to the surroundings—misty hills, cool breeze, and lush greenery all around. Evening Aarati timing is at 6.15 pm . Just go in between 6-6:15 pm to attend the Arati . Once Arati has been started they are not allowing any person at that time to go inside This temple also have “Annakshtra” for 50 rupees for one person .

Prati Shirdi is a peaceful and clean temple near Pune, made just like the original Shirdi Sai Baba temple. It’s a great place to feel calm and spiritual. The darshan is smooth, and the temple is well-maintained. You can also enjoy prasad and there’s parking available. A nice weekend visit for Sai Baba devotees and families.

Extremely peaceful Darshan. After chatting with the staff there it was understood that the place isn’t heavily crowded as it used to be before Covid. My family and I got the Darshan in seconds from entering the main pratima building. Ladoo Prasad made from Govardhan ghee was also nice.

The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva worshipped Ganesha before fighting the demon Tripurasura. The idol here is known as Mahaganapati, a powerful and majestic form of Ganesh with 10 trunks and 20 arms (though the original idol is kept hidden in the sanctum and shown only on special occasions). The temple architecture is stunning – a beautiful blend of peace, spirituality, and historic charm. The calmness and spiritual aura of the place are truly mesmerizing. It is well maintained and organized for devotees, even during weekends and holidays. The temple complex is clean, with ample space for parking, and basic amenities like toilets and drinking water. There are shops outside selling prasad, flowers, and souvenirs. I recommend reaching early in the morning or during the evening aarti time to avoid rush and experience the serene atmosphere. The drive from Pune is smooth and scenic (approx. 50 km), making it a perfect spiritual getaway. This temple is often visited as part of the full Ashtavinayak Yatra, but even if you’re visiting individually, it leaves you with a sense of divine satisfaction. 🌟 Tips for Devotees: Mobile phones and cameras are allowed, but photography inside the sanctum is restricted. The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.

It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

I liked the 3D multimedia appearance of characters on stage, saw this technology for the first time.

I had wanted to visit Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir for a long time, and finally got the chance. Even though it was Diwali, the crowd was well-managed, and devotees were able to move around comfortably thanks to the efficient security personnel. One small improvement could be providing a tap or facility to wash hands, as we place our chappals on the stand with bare hands. Overall, the temple is well-organized, spiritually uplifting, and a must-visit for anyone coming to Pune.

There is also a regular darshan queue behind the temple where you can go without a pass. • Photography is not allowed inside the temple. If you wish to take pictures, you must visit the temple office and get proper permission first. • There is a shoe rack facility available where you can safely keep your footwear and get a token. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful darshan experience. Just be mindful about the approach road and parking, and everything else will be absolutely blissful. The trek or road climb is fun and not too long. The view from the top is amazing, especially during monsoon when everything turns lush green. Clouds move around you, sometimes covering everything, and the wind feels like it can lift you up. It’s peaceful, refreshing, and worth the trip. Food stalls at the top serve authentic rural Maharashtrian food—pithla-bhakri, curd, kanda bhaji, and lime sharbat. After the climb, it tastes even better. It’s a perfect weekend spot for nature lovers, trekkers, history fans, or anyone needing a break from the city.

The first trek of my life....the view after climbing the stairs for nearly 3 hours was worth it. There is a lord Shiva temple alongside the Samadi of Shivaji Maharaj. Had a fabulous experience visiting the fort. Appreciate the Chhatrapati Shivaji maharaj for his historical places among the Raigadh fort. About staying experience at private hotel was worse, the local people have made rooms on their roof and charging with very heavy cost so better to plan like that u can reach at early morning and go by night. For a ticket I started waiting in s queue in the early morning at 5am and the counter opened at 7pm so there is no arrangements for seating or coupons systems. Online tickets are consumed very fast so difficult to get it. Government must give more focus on improvement.

The Baneshwar Temple is a historical and beautiful temple located at Nasarapur @35km away from Pune and @3km away from the NH4 highway. The temple surroundings are maintained neat and clean with spacious free parking. You can see number of Turtles and Colourful fishes in the small pond. There is a beautiful garden which is open from morning till evening 5:30pm only. One has to buy tickets to enter and enjoy themselves in the garden.

The turmeric powder holi is a unique tradition of this temple where all devotees offer turmeric powder to lord shiva and also pour turmeric in the air. I recently visited Khandoba temple at Jejuri as Khandoba is out deity and we often visit this place to take blessings , this time I went with my father and we decided to take steps to climb up the fort as kid I visited but this time it was bit difficult for my father as he is 60+ now but it took us like 30 min to climb up we took breaks to have water in between but when we reached up it was all worth it despite Sunday the number of visitors were less , we got the darshan and then we proceeded back to pune , only issue is that you will find rikshaws easily , and food availability is less like less options are there .

We went to Pratapgad Fort with family. There is no ticket for anyone. It has historic significance. This fort was made by Shivaji when he was 16years old and it was the most smaller fort built by Shivaji. This fort has one ambey bhawani mandir and shivling and hanuman temple which has historical importance. There is also Afzal Khan grave . While you visit take guide he will explain you everything.

Therefore, it is important to exercise caution while walking so that you do not slip. ​View from the Top ​Reaching the summit of the fort offers a spectacular experience. The view of the lush greenery all around and the distant landscape is very peaceful to behold. However, finding a parking spot can be a bit difficult on weekends.

Pratapgarh Fort is incredibly well maintained and truly worth every step of the climb. It is easily walkable, making the trek accessible for most visitors, and the views from the top are simply crazy—truly panoramic and breathtaking. The atmosphere inside the fort is palpable; everyone can feel a strong, positive energy during the walk. ​However, prospective visitors should plan ahead for a few logistical issues. There is a possibility of traffic jams on the road leading up to the fort, and finding parking during peak hours can be quite difficult. Additionally, be mindful of the resident monkeys, who can be a nuisance if you are carrying food items. Come prepared, and you will have a wonderful, energizing experience!

Its well maintained and worth every step. Its easily walkable and view is crazy. There's not ample space for parking so adjust accordingly. It gets very foogy by the evening and advised to carry a torch or phone with sufficient battery as there are no street lights and power cuts are frequent. Beautiful place explore in a nature

We went to Mahabaleshwar hoping to enjoy the rainy season. Packed all our rain gear, umbrellas, jackets, even plastic covers for bags. But as soon as we reached… the rain just disappeared! Not even a single drop! It was like the rain said, “Okay, my job is done. You guys take care now.” Instead, we were welcomed by thick clouds everywhere. Couldn’t see much ahead while driving – the fog was like “peekaboo!” every few minutes. But honestly, the cloudy weather made the whole place look magical. The valleys, trees, and hills covered in clouds looked straight out of a movie scene. We missed the rain, but the cool weather and peaceful vibes made up for it. Sitting on a hilltop with hot chai and roasted corn in that fog… pure bliss. It felt like the clouds came just to give us a cozy hug. So yeah, Mahabaleshwar didn’t give us rain, but it gave us something better — quiet, calm, and some unforgettable views. Highly recommend going there if you want a break from all the city noise. Just… don’t chase the rain. It’s faster than it looks!

Amazing journey, must visit in monsoon. But avoid night driving, visibility is very low in night. Can't see even 20 meter ahead. Otherwise it's just like experiencing heaven in monsoon.

Their products, food court, and greenery added a fun and refreshing touch to the day. Exploring the Mahabaleshwar market was another memorable experience. From local snacks and fresh produce to handicrafts and souvenirs, the market had a charming, traditional vibe that made strolling through it truly enjoyable. The viewpoints were equally captivating. Parsi Point offered stunning valley views that felt almost surreal, while Elephant Head Point stood out with its unique natural rock formation and scenic beauty. Each spot had its own charm and added a different flavor to the trip. Overall, this holiday was the perfect mix of nature, sightseeing, relaxation, and pleasant weather. Every moment felt soothing, refreshing, and memorable. Mahabaleshwar truly gave us an all-in-one holiday experience that I would happily relive anytime. 🌄✨

Visit during monsoon. When we visited there were rains but not heavy downpours. It should be drizzling not heavy rains, if there is heavy rain then the entire place is covered in fog, it would be difficult to drive in the fog in the hill station and also some view points will be closed. Hotels, restaurants and taxi service , bus services are available within Mahabaleshwar and to reach as well multiple bus or cab services available. Weekends will be too crowded, There are 3 temples at the hill top and they are a must visit.

Visited yesterday.This is one the best places in mahabaleshwar. Need to pay entry fees to start journey before this point. After this you need to pay 50/- for parking. Try to visit this place in evening to get a good view of sunset. You can take horse ride, boat ride, game shows, activity games and some tasty food items. Try to take horse ride with photoshoot. . Main market and mapro garden is near from this. Good place for spending time. Boating charge 600 for 4 person for 30min.

The lake itself looks nice from a distance, but it’s extremely crowded, especially on weekends. You often have to wait for hours just to get a boat ride, and the entrance area gets very chaotic. During the rainy season, the place becomes filthy and muddy, and the hygiene is below average. The nearby horse stand adds to the mess — the area is dirty and full of people constantly chasing you for rides. They charge around ₹200 for just 500 meters, which is absolutely not worth it. Parking is another headache — very congested and disorganized. Overall, this is just one of those places you visit once to tick it off your list, not for the experience itself.

It is one of the most scenic attractions in Mahabaleshwar. Beautiful lake surrounded by hills. Great for boat rides while watching the sunset. We went during May end , so the evening breeze by the lake was so soothing. Gets extremely crowded during peak tourist season. There are ample parking spots, but due to the rush of tourists, it is very difficult to find a parking spot nearby. I have seen families walk a considerable distance from their parking area to reach the lake. It all depends upon whether you get a parking or not , if you have a driver, they may drop you at a distance. Apart from this, the lake vicinity has different activities like boat riding , horse riding, etc, and way too many fast food joints selling all kinds of food and drinks. There are fruit vendors , toy vendors , and so many shop keepers all around. If you just want to sit by the lake and watch the sunset amidst all the cacophony , come a bit early and sit a little away from the main entrance point.

This lake is very beautiful. It would have been much better if there was no rain and fog. Boat ride was thrilling and the fun filled horse riding with my son. Plenty of stalls for street food like corn, tea, etc…

Table land is the second highest asian plateu in India . From this place we can see the views of following places - 1. Pandavgad , Wai and nearby villages ( previously known as Viratnagari as per Indian Mythology )at the eastern part of plateu 2.Kamalgad at the western part of plateu 3.Dhom dam at the western part of plateu Table land is the great place for people who enjoy long walk, running, playing ground sports. Table land turns more beautiful from 20 September to 11 October every year as this is flowering period of many wild flowering plants found in western ghats .

"We visited this place for the first time and weren’t sure how much area there was to explore. At the entrance, horse riders offered to take us to 10–12 points, but honestly, only 2–3 of them are major spots that you can easily walk to within 1–2 km. If you enjoy horse riding, you can try it—but it’s quite expensive and not really necessary. The natural beauty here is excellent, especially at Table Point. Sunrise and sunset views are truly worth it!"

6 kms valley having historic relation with mahabharat. Where it is believed Pandavas spent their exile here. Pandavas footprints, caves, devils kitchen is here many movie shots were taken here. It's long plateau. Asias 2nd highest Volcanic Plateau. U cannot walk full plateau there are horses and carts which costs around 1400 to roam everywhere and they explain you story. Best to visit during sunset 🌇

One of the best places to visit during the rainy season. Do not go for any guide or so just travel by urself they will only give information on which movie was shot where and which battle was fought and etc. If horse riding available go for it and bargain for it without fail, for 9 spots go for as low as 1200-1500. You will get some picturesque views if you travelling on low rainy days. Do not spend 20 rs on pandav caves, not worth it it's just a simple shiv bhagwan statue without any lights in cave. Note: from June horse riding is banned for three months due to the rainy season.

Wonderful geological structure which encompasses so much beauty around it that people simply get attracted towards it to relish in the beauty of this flat land. Walk on the table land, ride the horse cart or horse back, appreciate the landforms, observe the flora and fauna, click some memorable pictures and be grateful and feel lucky that you visited such a wonderful natural formation...

Absolute picturesque. It has 9 points to visit. Ghodawalas will approach you right outside, you can either take a horse or walk on your own. If you take a horse then try to bargain cause they charge 3600Rs which is super expensive and not justified at all. We bargained to get the horse at 1300 for 6 points and rest 3 points we walked.

I visited the Kaas Plateau end of October. The flowering season was almost over, but i was not an inch disappointed. The valley is magical with the clouds streaming through it. It was truly a splendid experience, i will cherish for the rest of my life. The walk to the Kumudini lake with bring forth a freshness you have never felt earlier. Must visit if you are in Maharashtra.

A must visit World Heritage site..! I visited in second week of September. Drive on ghat road is very scenic. Stay overnight to enjoy the calmness and feel those energetic vibes of nature ir can be done in a day as well. Booked morning slot of 7 to 11 and reached parking area. Ample parking and food options both veg and non veg. Takes around 2 hours to roam around and admire the nature.

We went there on the last day of the season after most flowers have withered, yet the place was heavenly. The crowd was almost non existent. The meadows were carpeted golden yellow. The staff was very cooperative and the facilities were good . A bus picks you up from the parking lot to the gates , from where an electric buggy drops you off inside . Here you are free to walk around and enjoy the park . The breeze was cooled and the the park was a lush green which made it a beautiful experience.

It's good, it's a land of 10 Sq Km. Having 800+ species of plants , different types of flowering plants are covered in huge areas. The plateau is formed by volcanic rock. The best time to visit this area is from post June to the mid September to experience nature. We visited in mid October and found a few flowers. We can call it wild plants. Visitors who stay past 4:30 p.m. often have a better chance of spotting wild animals, as many species become more active during the late afternoon.

Atlast visited one of the bucket list of mine. It's worth to spend our time to visit this place but unfortunately climate not supported on that day. Also it's blooming season come to an end. Kaas is hilly village located 23 km away from satara town. Bus and private car and bike services connectivity are available. The riding.experiance to this village was mesmerizing natural seenic views to till reach this village. Kaas pather or kaas plateau is awesome ecosystem regconised by UNESCO world heritage site. They charged repuess 50 per head. Rest room is available. Small eataries shop are there.

1 of d best & must place to visit fr nature lovers, particularly flower lovers. Best time to visit- after 15th Sept to max 2nd week of Oct. Avoid to visit during heavy rain. Beautiful flowers everywhere on plateau. Min 4 to 5 hrs walk is recommended to njoy all d 4 gates. If 1 want to c Kumudini, he or she must visit via Gate- 4. 1 may also njoy Pithla & Nachnichi Bhaakari, Kulfi, etc. during d said walk. Don't forget to carry water & umbrella...

One of giant waterfalls on shayari forest range . The route was quite amazing to ride since lot of view points through the falls road. Entry fee rupees 50 per head. Parking and rest room facilities are available. You can do small trek to view this gigantic waterfall. The view was stunned visulas that fals flow through valley. Currently water flow is just okay. Monsoon is Perfect time.

Excellent place to visit. Good waterfall in Sahyadri range near Satara. Walkways and stairs are well developed so you can have good views of waterfall. Entry fee is Rs 50 per person. If you want to see both falls you have to trek little more. Old age people who has difficulty in walking should avoid. Two water falls big and small. Big water fall can be seen from specially made overview platform. It's in valley and in rainy season you will enjoy this waterfall. Small water fall is from less height and you can go near falls. Cave behind waterfall is amazing. Enjoyed visit very much. Highly recommended during rainy season.

Has got a good view. There are multiple waterfalls there. The place is very neatly maintained. The washrooms are clean and also the surrounding.

There are 520 steps to climb to reach the cave temple. There a huge parking lot at the base of the steps. And a clean ladies & gents washroom near the entry gate. Lots of food & flower stalls all the way to the top. The Marleshwar waterfall clearly visible from the temple gallery. Temple closes by 7:30pm after which it gets very dark.

An divine place of lord shiva🐚🕉️ Must visit this temple in Shravan month as lots of devotees comes here. You will need to trek through steps. It’s an svayambhu shiv mandir inside an stone cave with only one entrance from which you will enter by bending. There is no light source inside cave only deep-jyoti makes light up this holy place. There are eternal vibes inside. Outside temple there’s big waterfall and multiple small water flows you can see. Be aware of monkeys.

I love this temple! Especially when you visit it during rainy season. The view with the waterfalls is breathtaking ! Inside the temple, there are no lights, its just the light of the lamps and the fragrance of the incense sticks which creates a serene atmosphere. Words fall short to describe it. You have to walk good amount of flight of stairs to reach to the top where the temple is. I visited the temple with my parents and siblings on a Monday morning but it wasn’t the month of Shravan so were lucky to skip the queue. Careful of the landslides and slippery surface/floor inside the temple!

Shri Marleshwar Mahadev Mandir & Waterfall We visited Marleshwar Temple with our school friends during the monsoon, and it was truly one of the best experiences! Right in front of the temple flows the Marleshwar/Dhareshwar Waterfall – during the rains, it looks absolutely breathtaking. The surrounding green hills, mist, and the roar of the waterfall create an unforgettable moment. According to local history, the temple was established by Lord Parshuram and the Shivling here is self-manifested. There are also beliefs about cobras once residing in the cave, protecting the temple, and they are considered auspicious. ✨ What makes this place special is the perfect mix of **spiritual vibes and natural beauty**. The monsoon is the best time to visit, but the waterfall flows all year round, which is quite unique. ✔️ The climb has around 300–500 steps, but there are small stalls on the way for refreshments. ✔️ Be careful during monsoon as the steps can be slippery. ✔️ Please help in keeping the temple surroundings clean.
