27/Nov/24: Visited this place at 9am for the first time and realized that the route on Google Maps for "Fountain at Thergaon Boat Club" is wrong (have requested deletion as this duplicate entry causes unnecessary confusion). The actual route is the same one as shown for the "Thergaon Boat Club" which is by taking a left turn just before the signal that is present near Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital when coming from Wakad. The road is narrow but at the end of that road you need to take a right turn that eventually leads you to an open parking lot in front of this park. At the entrance was a sign stating that the park was open from 11am to 07pm. Beside it the charges were mentioned. Upon enquiring with the watchman, I was informed that currently the entry was free for visitors and the timings were not currently applicable. Also, the boating stopped around 04 months ago and a new tender process has not been completed yet. So without boating I decided to continue my visit as a morning walk through a park. Now, this park is huge enough for a really good morning walk. It has lots of greenery and the birds and animals (lots of squirrels) make it more enjoyable. There are also 02 single storey towers from where to get a better view of the entire place but their condition is neglected and one must be careful while climbing the stairs and be mindful of the cobwebs. There is also an open gym that is in good condition to be used. In addition to this, there is a children's playground and a toy train (not working) that looked like fun. The serenity in this place (due to its kind of remote location and very few people visible for morning walks) was what made it so nice as compared to the other parks at the same time. However the park needs to be cleaned properly to make it more attractive. I hope the boating activity resumes in the future as I would like to visit it again at that time! One can see the boats lined up at the entrance to the water. Since access is open to the water, one must be careful not to go too close to it as a precaution. Overall, it was an enjoyable visit and would be the same for any nature lover. If the water were cleaner (after removal of the floating trash and foam in different places), then it would be even better!

Once enjoyable experience, boating is closed now due to negligence but one can explore a garden situated beside Pawana River. Timings: 11 to 7 Entry Fee: Kids (upto 12 years): Rs. 5 Adults: Rs. 10 Parking: Free (plenty of parking available) This is a beautiful garden with a toy train, kids play areas, open gym, 2 machans, trees and a small artificial waterfall. Lately, this location has become popular for photoshoots of pre-wedding, birthday, baby-shower etc. Do visit nearby Kejudevi temple and Kejudevi temple.

Good to walk and jog, has washrooms , i think primarily you'll enjoy in morning! Nothing fancy 10 INR ticket for adult and nothing too convincing for kids ! Overall pleasant experience by the water side so if you love nature you can explore this place

Good place to walk around. Beautiful park, many large trees, several machans (2 open to climb) and even an artificial waterfall. After entry, in right side boating available though water was not clean and smelled. Enough parking for 20 off cars and 50 bikes. Mostly local people. Though not allowed to bring outside food and even there is no restaurant or snacks centre but people were having picnic with food inside Entry fees Rs 10 for adults and Rs 5 for kids 5-12. Free for below 5. Parking free Wish maintenance was bit better to have it more enjoyable.

A nice park with decent amount of walking into the area. The river is calm and clean. There’s a children’s play ground with walkway. Boating is closed when raining. Entry is 10 rupees for adults and 5 rupees for children.

The place is very nice.. Lush green and well maintained too.. Good for photography and shoots... There are slides and toy trains for kids.. Pedal and motor boating is available.. You have to pay extra 50 Rs. for carrying camera inside Overall good place to go with family

Wholesome to visit. It was not that crowded but people are usually around. This time I got to get the lord's appearance with patience. No rush, no hurry to leave the temple or long lines to wait. The place is totally clean and the environment you'll like to visit again. Would definitely encourage many devotees once to visit. There is also a lake present behind the shrine. View one must get from a specific point. This place is historical in itself so one of the reasons interested me today is to visit. The garden located near has particular timings to visit. But said to be beautiful inside. There are vendors and shops available plus not to forget street food too. I enjoyed today's visit and I will keep on updating images as I make my presence.

Ganapati Bappa Morya🙏 Good maintained ancient temple. Constructed in 1658. It is believed that if we visit all the Samadhis in this temple, we will get the glimpse of Ashtavinayak.

🌿 The garden is poorly maintained, and the washrooms are in a pathetic condition 🚽. There’s no water available in the toilets to wash hands, and even the drinking water taps outside are dry 💧❌. You’re forced to buy water just to clean your hands 🧼💸. 🪑 The sitting area is dirty and unclean, making it uncomfortable for families. 🧹🙁 🐀 Near the boating area, we spotted more than 100 rats running around, which is absolutely unhygienic and scary! 😱🚫 👨‍🎓 The place mainly seems to attract young bachelors hanging around, which might make families feel uneasy and out of place 👪⚠️.

It is a very awesome place especially for kids. They will definitely love this place so many things to do there. They offer a laser show, at 7.30pm, with Rs20 ticket per person. You can pay by cash or by UPI. You go there at least at 6pm,so that you can walk around the lake and enjoy boating also.

The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.

It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

These inscriptions, dating back to the 2nd and 1st century BCE, provide valuable historical information about the Satavahana dynasty, including a mention of Queen Naganika.

It is nice temple of Malganga Devi situated close to Nighoj potholes point. It is approx. 80kms from Pune and Road conditions are Ok. You can enjoy snacks and juices. Ambience is good and you can spent couple of hours here. Nearby natural potholes are main point of attractions. You can enjoy the natural beauty through hanging bridge. People usually come to visit this place.

Visited Ozar temple with my family. The temple is very peaceful and well-maintained. We had a really good darshan without much rush. The surroundings are clean and the atmosphere feels divine. Here all the big infrastructure is owned by Vighnaharta Ganpati temple authority. They own this spacious hall .it is very nicely maintained.Total surrounding of temple and village is covered with lush greenery.Whole area is very neat and clean.A beautiful river is very neatly and cleanly maintained.Prices of hall for any function is minimal.You can opt for accommodation in the hotels build by Temple authority and these Hotels are very much reasonable also they have multiple accomodation options.Climate here is really pleasant.

Shri vighneshwar Ganesh temple ozar is situated near the banks of kukadi river. A very peaceful, beautiful and refreshing temple. You can also visit Lenyadri one more Ashtvinayak which is about 15 kms from ozar near Junnar

Vighnaharta Bappa was a great dharshan. Cleaning was well maintained during pandemic as well social distancing norms. It is great to visit during off season since there will be less crowding.

The Govt of Maharashtra provides good parking spaces and beautify water sources and waterfall areas so visitors can enjoy maximum. Hot Maggi, tea, and corn will add cherry on the ice.

This place should be on must visit list in monsoon if you are exploring western ghats. Going here is easy, as for most of the part road conditions are very good. You can come by car, 2 wheeler etc. In ghat section roads are narrow so expect some traffic during monsoon season. Also there is possibility of land slide etc. There are multiple waterfall points in the ghat area where government has build staircase , protective structures to access it easily. Make sure while you park your vehicle, you are not blocking on going traffic. I have seen people doing it. Be a responsible citizen. Same thing go for plastic and other garbage. In monsoon and winter expect lot of foggy weather which limits visibility so be careful. Most of the people I see go till ghat and return if they are coming from pune-nashik highway. I would highly recommend to go down till ghat ends, you will see amazing views.

What a place friends, it is heaven, I went there recently and enjoyed it a lot, I will say one thing that don't go from the check post before the ghat, go through the village, it is a great village, it is off-road but it is a lot of fun, it is 5km It falls far away it was a lot of fun

One of the coolest and awesome place in Maharashtra, this place have very scenic and beautiful view. But this place is very dangerous and thrilling too, it have accident prone area and one must be cautious world travelling at this place. In rainy season its completely covered in dense fog. Also there lots of waterfalls nearby this area and somewhere in mid of Highway waterfalls directly from the mountains on road.

It is also a great spot for photography, birdwatching, and enjoying nature at its best. The roads are well-maintained, but can get slippery in rains, so one needs to be careful. Beautiful calm lake where you can pitch your tent and enjoy the bliss. If you don’t have a tent you can ask villagers and they can have one pitched for you in the range of 1000₹-1500₹. You can swim as well in the lake. with the cool breeze blowing, it really adds to the experience.

We visited this beautiful lake in june for fireflies festival. It is surrounded by mountains and it is a beautiful sight to behold in monsoons. One can also go for a boat ride in this lake or swim as the water is clear. But ensure to wear life jackets as it is deep after certain point.

Visiting Kalsubai Peak during winter or monsoon is considered a good experience, but in my opinion, the best time to go is between February and April. During this period, the cold starts to fade away and the summer gradually begins, creating a unique and refreshing atmosphere with completely different scenic views.

Amazing trek, testing your patience and physical capabilities. Trek is almost 3 to 4 hours long. Other thing I would like to suggest is carry warm clothes even if its raining or not as the mountain summit is gushing with heavy watery winds & fog. Reach in time to get sunset view.

One needs high endurance to climb this peak but when you reach to the top every step is worth it, every break of sweat is worth it. This is the highest peak of Maharashtra therefore known as Everest of Maharashtra. Once you reach to the peak there is a small temple of Kalsuma. This is a slice of heaven in bhandara, ahead of the point of entry from the main dam and that of vasundhara falls. This place has 3 waterfalls and a bridge overall connecting the view. The place is serene and not very famous with tourists as there was not much crowd other than a few locals and people who know their way around bhandardara. A must visit spot. There is a payment for parking of rs 50 as the spot is run by a trust and is maintained well by them. You can find good items to eat as well like vadapav , pavvada and other snacks like chips and chocolates

Planning your visit will help in many ways for Sai Baba darshan. Off day one can avoid rush. You can buy online tkts for darshan and it works great. There will still be good walk inside however, better than standing in a long queue. There is seperate line for senior citizen so if you have elderly please use that. It is better to get your tkt for paid darshan printed. The entrance unlike any other temples is well maintained and not overly crowded. The parking, mobile phone and footwear is all taken care at the place. Please note mobile phones are not allowed and have to be kept in lockers or just keep in the car. The staff is helpful and guide you around. The inside of the temple is par or even better than any other place in foreign country. Museum is nice and must see. There are other temples shiva ling, Ganesha when you exit towards gate 3. The entire place is well maintained. I was thrilled to see that in India we have such place to visit specially worship place like this one for Sainath.

I am a serving person coming for Darshan all the way from punjab. Honest review is the place is sarine, however, the shop attatched in pic is a fraud or may be one of the frauds who will trick you to park vehicle in front of his shop in exchange of buying a puja thali in which only the Phool mala is allowed in and the devotee realises he gas been hoodwinked once he passes tgrough the security check in. The pile of such items at the gate assured that I am not the only one fallen for the trap. I can only suggest and request to buoycot such shops.For reference, this one is in the road just opposite to the senior citizen gate.

Visited Dwarka Mai in Shirdi, the sacred place where Sai Baba spent a major part of his life. This humble yet powerful place holds deep spiritual significance, as it was here Baba performed miracles, healed the sick, and guided his devotees. The ever-burning dhuni (sacred fire) still continues, symbolizing his eternal presence. Being there felt truly divine and filled me with a sense of calm and devotion.

There is no words to explain the experience and vibrations of tbis place.You need to visit and experience this for yourself, its so soothing and calming.This is where baba lived the masjid and whete the dhuni(eternal fire is still burning).You actually can sit in there to meditate or pray as you wish.And on the thursday night there is the special procession to this place from the main mandir and it also goes to the chavdi, just like when Baba was alive in his mortal body.Count yourself blessed if you can make it there.

While there is some merit in this being called the "Bharatpur of Maharashtra", I sincerely feel that is more of an emotional appeal than an actual understanding of the place. The approach road is in terrible condition at patches, so factor that in while getting here for more travel time. The Birdwatching towers overlook the wetlands, but most of them have thorny shrubs growing at the entrance very densely, making it impossible to enter. The larger watchtowers can accommodate multiple Birdwatchers, but are placed a fair distance from the best areas of the wetlands. If you're coming here with anything less than a 500mm lens, you will be relying more on luck than opportunities. I still give it a 5 star rating in the hope that things get better over time, but have given an honest review that should help people coming here set expectations accordingly.

The dam, built at the confluence of the Godavari and Kadwa rivers, was designed to supply irrigation water to the districts of Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Aurangabad and underwent reconstruction in 2008. Spanning 1,765 hectares, the sanctuary is a rich haven of biodiversity, hosting 536 species of aquatic and terrestrial plants, eight mammal species, 265 species of birds, 24 species of freshwater fish, and 41 butterfly species. One of THE best, most beautiful, unforgettable bird sanctuary. We get totally carried away by materialistic life & go by what is marketed. Hence, later on, our children follow us & all get spoiled. This place is so near to Nashik & so natural you will remember it for life time. The best season is between October to March & timing is morning, 7 pm to 6 pm. You get to see "KUMBH MELA" of birds...Indian & foreign birds also. Some variety of birds come from 4000~5000 km & come in thousands. Very attractive & colorful. The cliamet is GULABI, water body & greenery take you out of the world for sure. Must visit without second thought & don't miss to take guide then only you can enjoy the surprises of birds & nature.

This place was amazing with rich biodiversity of birds - both migratory and indigenous, that were seen in flocks in their natural habitats. The food provided was also very nutritious and delicious, with also varieties of fresh fruits available to enjoy while there. Must visit this place when in Nashik.

It's very Nice and beautiful Bird Sanctuary surrounded with a beautiful nature in Maharashtra. I would suggest everyone should see it once or as per their convenience. You can stay here with proper booking and charges are ₹1200 including your breakfast,lunch,dinner with guide. If your thinking for one day short trip so definitely it's very good choice. Binoculars and telescopes are available with guide also. So watch it and enjoy it.

It is a beautifully done up space. Good for a day out. However I do have some pointers to share. 1. The entry fees is pretty high and yes it includes the shows. However the visitors should also have an option to choose between a few shows and not make it compulsory to go through it all. 2. The food and snacks is BAD legit BAD definitely need to work on that. 3. Area is neat and clean and well maintained but toilets could be better. Overall a good place for a one time visit :)

Visiting the Shirdi Teerth Theme Park was an unforgettable experience. The Dwarakamai Real Life Experience is incredible one of the most amazing inventions in India, making you feel like you’re truly living those divine moments. The architecture is exceptional, with every detail reflecting devotion and beauty, and the whole place feels peaceful yet grand. The staff here are some of the kindest people I’ve met Mr.Amul and Ms.Shivani, treating everyone with genuine warmth and support. A special thanks to Manager Yogesh, who personally helped me with such patience ,he’s truly an awesome person. Overall, it’s absolutely worth the money and a must-visit when in Shirdi. 🙏✨

I recently visited Sai Teerth Theme Park with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The park was decorated beautifully and two 5D shows was the major attractions, named the Lanka Dahan and Kalia mardan. Teerth Yatra rides were breathe taking and very well made.Few other center of attraction was there like mushak show , Movie on Saibaba ,laser show etc .Park surroundings was clean, well-organized, and the staff were helpful. It’s a great place for both kids and adults to learn and enjoy together. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shirdi!

Must visit when in shirdi.. Wheelchair available for senior citizens but we have to self operate the wheel chair.. no assistance provided.. total 4hrs is needed for the park.. shows are scheduled back to back.. all over nice place to visit.. food available inside the premises..

Just wow .. it's one of it's kind... the technology has been used so beautifully. The Sai baba's stories look so real.. the Dwarkamai show was amazing. Coming to 5D shows... the Lanka dehan was super amazing... the Teerth yatra was absolutely breathtaking. Make sure you have around 4 hours free to visit Sai theme park and there shops around for quick bites and snacks so don't need to carry much stuff to eat. The ticket is around 7-800, you hotel might give you some discount coupons. It's must visit place, highly recommended

That sounds like a fun day out! Wet N Joy Water Park in Shirdi is a very popular destination, especially since it's located right near the famous Sai Baba Temple, making it a great way to cool off after a spiritual visit. ​ But entry is ok ... exit option should be changed

If you want to go to a water park near Shirdi, then this place is for you. Recently I visited Wet'n Joy Water Park. It's a huge park with 30+ slides and many more. Firstly, you have to book your tickets, and then you can enter into the park. As it was Saturday, the prices of tickets were high. They charge more price on weekends, i.e., Saturday and Sunday. Thus, we found their offer that if we book a combined ticket for Wet'n Joy Water Park and Sai Teerth Theme Park, then we book a combined ticket for both places. I was charged approximately 1700/- per person. But the charges for dress, i.e., the custom of the waterpark, have different charges for that 200/-, and the deposit is also 100/-. They have their shop for buying costumes and other accessories. Also in the park they have a restaurant so that we can have lunch or breakfast. We are very hungry; we also paid for the meal. They charge 200/- per thali, where we have two options of thali only, i.e., Maharashtrian and Punjabi. The only difference in the thali is the sabji, where in the Maharashtrian thali, shev bhaji is included, and in the Punjabi thali, paneer sabji. Thus, after paying all the charges, firstly we move towards the restaurant to have lunch. Also, one more thing: if you have to eat lunch in the park restaurant, you book tickets from the outside counter because if we ordered in the restaurant, they took more charges for that. So take a coupon for your food from the outside counter, not from the restaurant. In the restaurant there is a self-service. The seating area is large with high chairs. We gave them our order, and within 15 minutes our meal came. Quantity is good enough for a person, but the taste of food was not as good as expected. Please, friend, if you want to eat anything, eat from an outside restaurant but not from here. I get very disappointed with this restaurant. Then we chose the waterpark costume, and it took lots of time to select a perfect costume as per your size and preference. They have many costumes, but they didn't show you the best one, so choose accordingly. Then we entered the park and enjoyed the slides one by one. There are many more slides to enjoy: wave pool, raindance, twisting slides, lazy river and whatnot. Be careful while taking rides. There are many water waterpools. I found it very disappointing, as they start the wave pool for only 30 minutes during their staff lunchtime, and after some time, it means it is continuously running; it is run sometimes and only for half an hour. After some time, there is a live dance show performed by young girls and boys. Then in the wave pool there is a photographer hired by Wet'nJoy Water Park. They took your photo, and then you can get that photo from the counter of photographs, and these photos we get are paid for; it is not for free. All the staff were helpful. I like the most lazy river. Overall, my experience was good about the park. But about the restaurant, I don't find it good.

Wet N Joy Water Park, Shirdi - A Disappointing Experienc I visited today Wet N Joy Water Park in Shirdi, and it unfortunately didn’t meet my expectations. The overall experience left me feeling like the park is not worth the amount we paid for. One of the first disappointments was the additional parking fee charged from customers. For an attraction that already has a substantial entry fee, charging extra for parking seems unnecessary. It feels like a tactic to extract more money from visitors, and I’ve seen this kind of approach in other so-called entertainment places too. The complementary food offered was far from satisfactory. Additionally, the staff seemed more interested in pushing their “combo pack” offers, which did not provide any value and felt more like a tactic to upsell. It left me feeling like the park was more focused on maximizing profit than providing a quality experience to its guests. On top of this, the rental fees for swimming attire and locker facilities were surprisingly high. These additional costs made the visit feel like a constant barrage of extra charges, which is frustrating after already paying for entry. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Wet N Joy Water Park, Shirdi. There are other places where you can find better value and a more enjoyable experience. This park did not live up to its promises and was overall not worth the money.

Beautiful temple with very beautiful architecture. Narmada river is also near the temple, some people also go boating there, the cost of which is Rs.50/- and children do not have to pay the ticket till the age of 12. You all can enjoy boating there. Do visit such a beautiful and peaceful place at least once in your life.

A good place where you can go with family and friends. Nicely maintained, clean and not too far from the city. The view is very nice. The ghat is superb location for photoshoot. You can also do boating here. the temples are very old and the architecture is eye catching. Looks like a film set. A must visit place when you are in Indore.

It is the temple of devi ahilya bai and it is now under construction there is a ghat in front of the gate of the temple where boat riding can be done in narmada river and we can also take bath in the narmada river. Police and life guards are present at the ghat and there are many temples present at the ghat and padman movie shooting was done here.

The Roopmati Pavilion is a compact yet beautiful architectural marvel that offers spectacular panoramic views and a wonderful, cold breeze, making the sight of the Nimar Valley the clear highlight. However, while the structure is excellent, the small site can be explored in just 1 to 1.5 hours and the overall visitor experience is let down by poor amenities. Specifically, the lack of clear signs to explain the smaller historical areas, along with a noticeable absence of good drinking water and clean restroom facilities, detracts significantly from the visit. Despite these flaws, the breathtaking vista secures it a respectable 3.5/5 rating.

Nice, small fortress, with a nice early morning view. You can ask for a local guide for the history of the place. Access to the top is blocked, but the view from the accessible areas is also good. It is important to know the story of Baaz Bahadur and Roopmati to appreciate the place.

We visited Roopmati Mahal in Mandu during the last week of September in 2025. While the fort is old and there is nothing much to see there but the views of Vindhya ranges and nearby areas are mesmerizing. It was green all around with scenic beauty. We really enjoyed the fort. 30-45 minutes are good enough for the fort visit. Need to walk 300-400 mtr on an altitude but worth visiting.

If one has not visited Mandu then, he must make an endeavour to do so. Foolling are photos of Rani Roopmati Mahal, from where she used to have darshan of Ma Narmada River. One can see how rain water harvesting & storing was done during that time & how a fort was built & defences around

Beutifully carved and well maintained. It's just behind jami masjid and only small steps are provided through jami masjid for this place. So I have to look carefully otherwise I may miss this place. It resembles tajmahal. Architecture is like mixed hindu and Persian type. There are many small tombs inside.

Hoshang Shah’s Tomb is mainly known as the inspiration for the Taj Mahal, but beyond that there isn’t much to see. We ended up spending more time at the registration counter filling out the form and making the payment than inside the monument itself, where we were the only visitors.

The tomb of Hoshang Shah in Mandu, built in the 15th century, is widely regarded as the earliest marble mausoleum in India. A notable landmark of Afghan architectural style, it later influenced the design of the Taj Mahal, with Emperor Shah Jahan reportedly sending his architects to examine its structure. The monument stands out for its gleaming white marble, impressive domes, and detailed ornamental work, showcasing a harmonious blend of Afghan and local Hindu architectural traditions.

Hoshang Shah's tomb is situated in the middle of the courtyard of the majestic mausoleum, surrounded by square-shaped walls. One can enter the mausoleum from the entrance gate, (which is built on a square plan with a marble dome) in the middle of the northern wall. The tomb of Hoshang shah is a grand construction, having a square plan and a dome. It is built on a basement of remarkable width and height. The entire building including the dome is covered in marble, providing majestic atmosphere. It is interesting to note that the main entrance and stairs are situated in the south side, the other side of the entrance to the courtyard. In the four corners of the domed roof, there are constructions with battlements and small domes. They are above the basements, which are built along with a dome. There are plant decorations　extending from the edge of the roof and the eaves. They are coloured in red and black, accenting the marble building. Hindu patterns can be observed in the decorations. Considering these and other patterns inside the tomb chamber, we can assume there was　involvement of Hindu workmen from the neighbouring towns.

Do not forget to visit Sunset Point — it’s one of the most beautiful sights near Indore. surrounded by greenery, mountains, and forest. Watching the sun go down from there feels truly magical. However, remember to prioritize safety — keep a safe distance from the edges and avoid going into unsafe or restricted forest areas. The terrain can be tricky, so enjoy the view responsibly and make the most of the moment.

Nothing less than fascinating. The palace is in great condition, one can get transported back in time. The best part is superb maintenance of the monument - top notch cleanliness, manicured lawns, trimmed hedges, clean water bodies, beautiful trees, clean facilities. Reasonably priced good food is available in well maintained stalls outside the main gate. Parking is available.

Jahaj Mahal in Mandu is a very beautiful and well maintained site to visit over. Along with old forts and ponds...it has multiple locations to click lovely photos and frame. It is believed to be build for entertainment by the king to have good time in his haram. This is around 60 km from Indore in Mandu town. There are other monuments in town as well. It is maintained by ASI and have a fee of Rs 25 per person.

Mandav or Mandu in MP is a beautiful historic place on a hill top(2000') in between Ujjain(152 km) & Omkareswar(108 km) ruled by King Bhoj of Bhoopal, Baj Bahadur, Hosain Sah, Giasuddin Khalji of Afganisthan & so on. Jahaz Mohol, Hindola Mahal and surrounding lakes were strategically built with thethen splendid architectural pattern which are unique. Rupamati(singer queen of Baj Bahadur) mahal is also praiseworthy.

Hindola Mahal is one of the beautiful structure on the madav fort. It's a example for the people who study ancient structures and the people who like ancient structures. The Hindola Mahal, or ‘Swinging Palace,’ is a striking architectural jewel within Mandu’s Royal Enclave, dating to the 15th-century Malwa Sultanate. Constructed perhaps under Hoshang Shah, it served as the kingdom's primary royal audience hall, or durbar. ​Its defining feature is the immense, theatrical incline of its buttress walls . Sloping at a dramatic 77-degree angle, these supports create the palace’s characteristic optical illusion of being in perpetual, gentle motion—a masterful feat of engineering. ​The Mahal exemplifies a bold, minimalist Indo-Islamic style, where stark visual impact outweighs excessive ornamentation. The simple T-shaped plan and towering ogee arches demonstrate an elegant fusion of Afghan structural strength and indigenous functional clarity. ​As the epicenter of power, the colossal hall witnessed countless royal ceremonies and major state assemblies. Its imposing structure clearly underscored the authority and prosperity of the Malwa rulers, who called their capital 'The City of Joy' (Shadibad). ​Today, this engineering marvel endures as a vital cultural artifact, narrating a story of medieval ingenuity and regional heritage. Its unique design and dramatic presence continue to inspire awe, securing its place as an indispensable Indian landmark.

It is a must visit. Light show is awesome. I don't think you can buy the ticket beforehand and even if you can, don't buy as there are chances that the show may get cancelled for various reasons.

Adjoining the famous Jahaj Mahal, Hindola Mahal forms Parrt of the heritage royal buildings complex in Mandu.This historical building has slanting outer walls at an angle of 77° and thus it presumably gives the look of a swing. Frankly I could not visualize it as a swing. That apart, the building looks beautiful. There are other buildings. The surrounding are very well maintained. Adjascent to Hindola Mahal, there are other smaller monuments worth seeing.

Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls. The Hindola Mahal might have been constructed during the reign of Hushang Shah about 1425 C.E. but may date to the end of the 15th century during the reign of Ghiyas al-Din. It is one of a set buildings making up the royal palace complex at Mandu, which consists of the Jahaz Mahal, the Hindola Mahal, the Taveli Mahal, and the Nahar Jharokha. The Hindola Mahal may have been used as an audience chamber.The plan of the Hindola Mahal is a T-shape, though examination of the exterior walls leads to the conclusion that the crossbar was added later. The vertical mast of the plan consists of one main hall measuring 30 by 18 metres (98 by 59 feet) and 12 metres (39 feet) high. Its lateral walls are 3 metres (9.8 feet) thick and further reinforced by massive inclined buttresses that angle over 77 degrees. These highly inclined buttresses give the Hindola Mahal (Swinging Palace) its name. They also neutralize the outward force of five massive arches that once supported the large flat roof of the main hall. On each exterior of the long sides of the main hall are six recessed arches which hold doors in their lower sections and three slabs of open-work stone windows to let in air and light. A high wall holds battlements on the roof of the building.

The entire fort complex within the Jahaj Mahal of mandu is steeped in history, it's not only absolutely stunning but also such an experience. Hindola Mahal is undergoing certain upkeep work and that's great, but the place itself is very beautiful, the architecture is to die for and the light and sound show at night is also projected here, such a great experience.

Hindola Mahal is Artistic, Beautiful Unique Structure ! Hindola Mahal Built by Hushang Shah, probably around A.D. 1425 as a Durbar hall. The walls are inordinately thick and slope like those of a castle. The slope of over 77 degrees gives a swinging appearance to the building, hence the name. The plan is 'T' shaped. The upright stem being the main hall (which was built first), and the cross bar is a transverse portion added later. The structure was probably supposed to have the zenana place as another storey above the main hall, which would explain the bulk and strength of the walls. A warrior in the making who fought 40 battles undefeated and I must say that his final resting place is ignored being a decorated Peshwa army commander. Bajirao Peshwa was known for his battlefield tactics, shrewd guerrilla warfare and blazing speed of covering a journey from Delhi to Mumbai in 72 hours on a horse back. The last know battle fought by the Peshwa was at Mandu where he established Maratha rule. Due to extreme humidity the Peshwa took ill and developed extreme sunstroke and fever and passed away at the banks of Narmada river and his samadhi was built at Raverkhedi. The Peshwa was only 40 years old at the time of his death.

A thirthkshetra for a Maharashtrian. It was an accidental discovery but glad I found it. It’s on the way to Ahilya fort, Maheshwar. Slight detour. But, if you’re an ardent follower of Maratha history, you will. Nicely managed by Madhya Pradesh tourism. Thank you MP tourism for that.

Here lies the man who fought through his life with invaders for the love of his land. On the banks of Narmada in a non descript village lies one the greatest warrior Maa Bharti has given birth to. If you are near Maheshwari do visit this samamdhi. You will feel the blood running in your veins.

The place is a must visit by every Indian to pay a humble and sincere tribute to the finest cavalry General BharatVarsh has seen, infact a World class cavalry General. There is a temple made by his Queen Kashibai nearby. The Samadhi is simple and serene made by his patrons The locals say that the real cenotaph was washed away in the Narmada flood. There are more development works planned to uplift the place. The final 300 meters of the path to the Smadhi are through Raver village lanes. There is a small shop outside. The Narmada river flows adjacent and the aura is sober and serene.

It's a good picnic spot for indorians, but it's good until you keep your self safe. After rain the fall becomes attractive.Now a days so many shops are there to fulfill the needs of public travelling to it.

Amazing place for a short picnic. Few food stalls available but beware of monkeys. Amazing view points. Water flow was high in October 2025. I reached Mhow Railway and took a to and fro auto for 500 Rs. Do bargain. However if you have own vehicle its much easier.

It is a very picturesque spot, especially in monsoon when the water gushes down the 200-foot deep gorge. The view is very scenic when the sun sets. A good place for a nice trekking or camping activity also. People should rake efforts to keep the area clean. Beware of monkeys as they can be troublesome sometimes. Adequate parking space is available. It is also a historical spot to commemorate the heroics of Tantya Bheel against the British.

It's a beautiful place, lack of maintenance. Full of trash and junk. And I understand some people trying to make money out of visitors, with photographers set up and occupied all the spot and chats Dukan. They make the place miserable loud , noisy and dirty. If you wanna enjoy the beauty of this place you have to walk further, not from the actual view spot.
