The scenic road to the valley, surrounded by backwaters, lush greens, and majestic mountains, set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Passing through water in vally through drum boat was amazing. Bevare of snakes while walking in valley. Our one friend was bite by water snake , fortunately he was safe. You must enjoy food from local villagers.

Visited Sandan Valley on 30th-31st Dec 2024 with a group of 5 for New Year – had an amazing experience! The place is serene, surrounded by lush greenery and peace all around. We stayed for 2 days and 1 night with food, accommodation, and rappelling activity, all within ₹800-₹1000 – total paisa vasool! There was no crowd despite the New Year weekend, which made it even better. The trek is enjoyable and the entire vibe of the place is just perfect for nature lovers. Also had the contact of a local person which made everything smoother. A hidden gem in a beautiful district!

A calm & placid lake located in Bhandardara and is filled by the river Pravara. It is an ideal place for boating and is a popular tourist attraction. There is no entry fee, but there is a minimum fee for boating. It is also an ideal place for camping for campers. The best time to visit this lake is during the monsoon season.

Beautiful calm lake where you can pitch your tent and enjoy the bliss. If you don’t have a tent you can ask villagers and they can have one pitched for you in the range of 1000₹-1500₹. You can swim as well in the lake. with the cool breeze blowing, it really adds to the experience.

We visited this beautiful lake in june for fireflies festival. It is surrounded by mountains and it is a beautiful sight to behold in monsoons. One can also go for a boat ride in this lake or swim as the water is clear. But ensure to wear life jackets as it is deep after certain point.

This place should be on must visit list in monsoon if you are exploring western ghats. Going here is easy, as for most of the part road conditions are very good. You can come by car, 2 wheeler etc. In ghat section roads are narrow so expect some traffic during monsoon season. Also there is possibility of land slide etc. There are multiple waterfall points in the ghat area where government has build staircase , protective structures to access it easily. Make sure while you park your vehicle, you are not blocking on going traffic. I have seen people doing it. Be a responsible citizen. Same thing go for plastic and other garbage. In monsoon and winter expect lot of foggy weather which limits visibility so be careful. Most of the people I see go till ghat and return if they are coming from pune-nashik highway. I would highly recommend to go down till ghat ends, you will see amazing views.

But this place is very dangerous and thrilling too, it have accident prone area and one must be cautious world travelling at this place. In rainy season its completely covered in dense fog. Also there lots of waterfalls nearby this area and somewhere in mid of Highway waterfalls directly from the mountains on road.

Kothaligad also know as Peth Fort. Name driven from Peth village at the base of the main fort. Kothaligad is approximately 25-30 kms from karjat station and you can take a rickshaw or taxi from karjat station to get there. The trek starts at Ambivali village, and a rough road takes you all the way to peth village. The road can be traversed using a two wheeler or a car (AWD preferred). The walk takes approximately 60-75 minutes to cover the distance. This is the easiest part of the trek. The second part is a vertical ascent along the rock face which is little challenging and can take upto 30-45 mins to reach the base of the main fort. The third part is the fort which is a typical pinnacle similar to Karnala Fort. We drove from Parel, Mumbai which is roughly 85 kms and took us 2 hours to reach Ambivali village. There are few eating points along the trek trail with a proper breakfast and lunch joint at Peth village. This year we wanted to keep it little easy for the kids so we walked all the way till Peth village and back. Did not attempt the main fort climb. Saving it for the future.

It was nice place for trekking and off road biking. Little bit tough for above 40 age and weak individuals but for energetic people it doesn't matter.

Here all the big infrastructure is owned by Vighnaharta Ganpati temple authority. They own this spacious hall .it is very nicely maintained.Total surrounding of temple and village is covered with lush greenery.Whole area is very neat and clean.A beautiful river is very neatly and cleanly maintained.Prices of hall for any function is minimal.You can opt for accommodation in the hotels build by Temple authority and these Hotels are very much reasonable also they have multiple accomodation options.Climate here is really pleasant.

Shri vighneshwar Ganesh temple ozar is situated near the banks of kukadi river. A very peaceful, beautiful and refreshing temple. You can also visit Lenyadri one more Ashtvinayak which is about 15 kms from ozar near Junnar

Visited Ozar temple with my family. The temple is very peaceful and well-maintained. We had a really good darshan without much rush. The surroundings are clean and the atmosphere feels divine. After darshan, we also spent some time near the river which was very relaxing and refreshing. Overall, a great experience for both spiritual visit and family outing.

Once you reach, there are steps that take you up to the caves, and the climb is manageable. The main cave is impressive with its large pillars and old Buddhist architecture—perfect for photography and for people who enjoy historical sites. However, there are a few issues you should be aware of: Parking is not well managed. There is some confusion, and it feels like they only focus on collecting money rather than providing proper service. No proper receipt is given, which does not feel professional. The historical value, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beauty of the ancient carvings make it a must-visit destination if you are in or around Lonavala.

We stayed overnight near Karla Caves and visited early the next morning, 9 o’clock is opening time — the perfect way to enjoy this ancient site without the usual crowd. The short trek to the caves is easy, around 350 stone steps surrounded by lush green hills and fresh morning air. At the top, the magnificent Chaitya Hall welcomes you — one of the largest and most impressive rock-cut prayer halls in India, dating back to the 2nd century BCE. The wooden arch inside, still intact after centuries, adds a rare charm to the stone-carved space. As sunlight filters through the arched entrance, it creates a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. Don’t miss exploring the darker corners of the pillars — if you look closely, you’ll notice faint traces of ancient paintings hidden in the shadows, telling silent stories of the past. Karla Caves, about 11 km from Lonavala, are ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BCE. The highlight is the Grand Chaitya Hall, one of India’s largest and best-preserved prayer halls, with a massive stupa, wooden ribbed ceiling, and beautifully carved pillars. Next to the caves stands the Ekvira Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ekvira. The temple remains active and attracts many devotees, especially during Navratri. Perched on a hill with scenic views, the site blends ancient Buddhist heritage and Temple.

Karla Caves is one of those places that quietly leaves you amazed. The carvings are over 2,000 years old, yet still so detailed and grand, especially the main prayer hall, which feels massive and peaceful.. The climb up takes a bit of effort, but once you reach, it’s calm, breezy, and totally worth it. There’s a quiet energy inside the caves that makes you want to just sit and take it all in. It’s a great break from city noise simple, raw, and full of history. Go early, wear comfy shoes, and don’t forget water.👍🏼

The caves were really nice! We visited the first floor, which was great. The area on the right-hand side was restricted due to heavy leakage. The main attraction, located just behind the Ekvira Temple, is peaceful and definitely worth a visit. Entry fees 25 for indians.

The caves are of Buddhist monastery. There’s also a temple of Ekvira Ai temple which is popular among the local public. Hence the place remains very crowded. The Chaitya graha is the only place which has marvellous rock cut arts. Outside this the Ashoka pillar gives you a clue of the age of the caves. Due to too much of crowd place is not well kept. It’s also slowly crumbling

My first and recent visit to Bhushi dam was a little disappointing. Even on a week day it was crowded and the tourists visiting the place litter around the place making it filthy and dirty. The view is good no doubt but the tourists visiting need to be more responsible and take away the snack packages and bottle back with them when they go and it would be a much cleaner place to visit.

It's beautiful here. I just wish locals and visitors would keep the place clean or is it an Indian thing to always have the place looking dirty and littering? That's the only reason why I rated this 3 stars.

This is very good place to explore in rainy season. I visited here 16th july 2025. Water is good enough on the stairs so its awesome to enjoy here. Try to come with good grip shoes or with crocs so you get better adventure to walk. Avoid this place on weekends as its too crowded, try to visit in weekdays early morning so you will get less crowded so good for enjoy and photography. You can get snacks here from multiple stalls but you can try corn as its good at that time. Changing rooms are available in the near stalls which cost 10/- pp. Bike and car parking is available near this place which cost 50/- and 100/- respectively.

Overhyped and Overcrowded. Can be managed better. Hard to access the dam area. It's a 15 minute walk from the parking area, it's a walkway filled with swampwater, mud, broken stairs from which you could fall off, and paan spat everywhere. It's dangerours as the stairs to reach the top is very narrow and overcrowded. During monsoon, waterflow is very high and can fall easily. Overall, a very gross and dangerous experience.

Tiger Point in Lonavala is a calm and peaceful spot, perfect for spending some relaxing time. The view is truly enjoyable, especially when it’s cloudy or raining. On a sunny day, it might feel a bit uncomfortable due to the heat and sweat, but otherwise it’s a great experience. There is ample parking space available, and plenty of local shops around offering tea, coffee, maggi, fruits, and other snacks. A nice place to stop by if you’re visiting Lonavala.

Absolutely ridiculous experience. You have to climb all the way up from Lonavla city just to see this view. The view is lovely but not as worth it to come. This place must be crowded in the monsoons due to waterfalls but I think it would not be great to visit in monsoons as well. I did not get why this is called as the lions point. Seriously! The worst part is that the staff took ₹50/- for parking. We just stayed for around 5 min but still. They should keep a time limit of the parking of vehicles. We visited today with friends and family members. A great weekend getaway, especially for kids and animal lovers! The place offers a wide variety of birds and animals—from cockatoos, African lovebirds, and parakeets to turtles, ducks, geese, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, pigs, goats, emus, and even iguanas. The kids will absolutely love the hands-on experience of petting and observing them up close. The staff is friendly, well-informed, and takes good care of the animals. They also serve decent meals as part of the package. Horse riding sessions are available, along with short rides during the visit. A great spot for children to learn about different animals and their behavior in a safe and engaging environment.

The experience was absolutely fantastic. The animals are in the best of health and the enclosures are so well maintained, the cleanliness is top notch. The guides are very polite and ample time is provided to be with the animals. Went for the kids specially, but we adults also enjoyed so much alongwith the kids. A good and enjoyable place for a half day from Pune especially for the bachha party. Animals and places are maintained well. Food quality is good. Washroom and drinking water available inside. Guides tell information properly during the tour. Ample parking available. We visited on the weekend (Sunday) for 3:30-6:00 pm slot. Charges for 2.5 hour slot is Rs.990 per head and that is for children is around 770 which is very high.

When my original plans collapsed, I found myself at Japalouppe Equestrian Center outside Pune—a haven for animal enthusiasts. After a quick orientation, we were handed buckets of treats for the animals. My experience began at the petting zoo, where birds sat on my hand, ducks marched around like kings and queens, and cute guinea pigs gave the best stress therapy! The aviary was a scene from a Disney movie, with parakeets and cockatiels flying around. A cheeky cockatiel posed for photos, a lovebird volunteered to be my own personal bodyguard and kept competitors away for my attention! Rupert and Rosie and their geese crew were the center of attention, but the baby rabbits won over my heart. The highlight of the day was a mare with her foal! Japalouppe provides riding lessons, which made me realize my lifelong ambition to master horse riding. As I departed, I knew this was not merely a weekend getaway—it was an experience I would never forget. The day concluded with a dinner of pizza, waffles, and cool sugarcane juice. Now, I have a new goal: learning horse riding!

Prati Shirdi is a peaceful and clean temple near Pune, made just like the original Shirdi Sai Baba temple. It’s a great place to feel calm and spiritual. The darshan is smooth, and the temple is well-maintained. You can also enjoy prasad and there’s parking available. A nice weekend visit for Sai Baba devotees and families.

Extremely peaceful Darshan. After chatting with the staff there it was understood that the place isn’t heavily crowded as it used to be before Covid. My family and I got the Darshan in seconds from entering the main pratima building. Ladoo Prasad made from Govardhan ghee was also nice.

Devkund waterfall is a beginner level trek and it takes around 5-6 hours to go and come back again to the base village.We got heavy rainfall during the trek and that was the most beautiful part of the trek.The trail is very beautiful and the view is just amazing. We went with Trekkers tribe company and we can even see local villagers are also there to guide us.Start the trek as early as possible to have less crowd at waterfall.

Visiting Devkund Waterfall was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. We started the trek from Patnus Point (there are two routes available), and the journey itself was incredible. The trail goes deep into the forest, and along the way we crossed 4 bridges — 3 wooden and 1 steel — which made the trek adventurous and fun. The trek is about 7 km one way, and the path is very well-marked with plenty of signboards guiding you toward the waterfall. What impressed me most was the management and the support of the villagers. The entry fee is just ₹200 per person, which is very affordable, and the locals ensure everything is well-managed. They are very helpful and even arranged ropes and stood nearby to make sure tourists are safe, especially near the waterfall where the water pressure is extremely high and dangerous. Their effort really makes the whole trek more secure and enjoyable. The waterfall itself is breathtaking — powerful, beautiful, and something I had never witnessed before in my life. Standing near it gives you a sense of awe and respect for nature’s force. Truly, it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We returned with so many wonderful memories, and I would say this trek is a must-do for adventure and nature lovers. Everything from the forest trail to the villagers’ hospitality and the majestic waterfall at the end makes Devkund a must-visit destination. 🌿💦

It is nice temple of Malganga Devi situated close to Nighoj potholes point. It is approx. 80kms from Pune and Road conditions are Ok. You can enjoy snacks and juices. Ambience is good and you can spent couple of hours here. Nearby natural potholes are main point of attractions. You can enjoy the natural beauty through hanging bridge. People usually come to visit this place.

This is one of most authentic South Indian/ Iyengar style temple in Pune. The aura and vibes are amazing in this temple. The puja style and philosophy followed is Pancharatra way of worshipping Lord Venkateswara. In the main temple we find Lord Venkateswara as the main deity with his consort Padmavati. Next to Venkateswara, we have the divine presence of Lakhmi Narasimha and Lakshmi Hayagreevaa. In the compound we also have sannidhi of Chakratalvaar / Lord Sudarshana, Lord Hanuman, Lord Sita Rama along with Lakshmana, Lord Ganesha and Godadevi. The mandir is really peaceful, and we'll culture, I'll recommend to buy VIP pass, which only costs 100/- , which will directly bow you to the entrence of ganesh idol.

It’s a famous one of the Ashta-Vinayaka (Among 8 Main Ganapati Mandir) situated at Ranjangoan. The Mandir is small but the surrounding area is specious. Lots of small temples are situated inside the Mandir itself. The Entrance is amazing. There is no rush during weekdays. But lots of waiting during weekends and Sankashti.

A highly revered temple of Ganesh. It is one of the ashtavinayak temples. It is right on main road and quite crowded. There are lot of puja item shops on way to temple. Parking space is available but due to large crowd it is usually occupied. In Temple just before entering garbhagrih there is a large gold plate which has Ganapati Atharvashirsh engraved on it.

It was an amazing experience. It is easily accessible as it is just along the highway which makes it convenient to reach. The only downside is the huge line just for hardly 1 min of darshan which is a problem for almost all the temples so can't complain about it. The atmosphere is good, you can also sit for hours in the garden area as it is peaceful and calm.

Shaniwarwada located in kasba peth. you can reach here from deccan via pune station bus and also other transport available, this is the historic place in india from peshwekalin . one of the most famous kach mahal was present here , but now there is no kach mahal present here. not well managed but very cheerful place.

The place belongs to a rich heritage but nothing is left now. Only foundation is there what once used to be a 7 stories palace of the peshwas. It's the signature monument of the Pune city hence good of a visit. Once you should visit this. It's close on Mondays. There is light and sound show in the evening. Even though it was Diwali, the crowd was well-managed, and devotees were able to move around comfortably thanks to the efficient security personnel. One small improvement could be providing a tap or facility to wash hands, as we place our chappals on the stand with bare hands. I think this is one of the best ISKCON temples I’ve visited. While all ISKCON temples have their own charm, this one stands out for its beautiful infrastructure and serene surroundings. Right at the entrance, you’re greeted by a stunning statue of Lord Krishna with Kaliya Naag and a fountain — it immediately gives a divine and refreshing feeling. The inner atmosphere is filled with peace, and the spiritual vibe is truly outstanding. On the outer walls, stories of Lord Krishna are beautifully depicted, allowing devotees to walk through Kanha’s charitra while taking pradakshina. The facilities are also well-managed — free shoe racks and tap water for hand washing are provided. Overall, an excellent place to experience devotion, peace, and divine energy.

A clean and peaceful place with a very positive environment. I had their prasad, and it was very good, prepared while maintaining proper hygiene standards. The temple area and the building architecture are beautifully designed. The shops within the temple premises are also worth visiting. Overall, ISKCON Katraj is definitely worth visiting.

ISKCON NVCC Temple in Kondhwa is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Pune. The architecture is stunning, the atmosphere is filled with divine and calming energy, and the entire premises are very well maintained. The security staff are polite and helpful, and the cleaning team keeps everything neat and spotless. The temple management is excellent — everything is well organized, from entry to darshan. If you’re coming by Metro, get down at Swargate Metro Station, then either book a cab or take a bus to Katraj Depot. From Katraj, take another bus towards Kondhwa and get down at the 7th stop (Gokul Nagar). From there, it’s just a 5–10 minute walk to the temple. A perfect place to spend some peaceful time, connect spiritually, and feel truly positive vibes. 🙏✨

Calm and peaceful place. DARSHAN is free and took no time. Within ISKON, back side balaji mandir. Do visit. If time permits, do some some good items, int he ISKON exlusive store. I bought 2 packs of agarbattis (140/- each pack) and fragrance is super. After you exit have food break in the canteen (only veg). Prices are okay. You get fried rice, chole bhature (around 120/-). For visitors parking, no place inside the premises, but need to keep vehicle in the neighbour Socity with parking fee 10/- two wheeler. Over all good place to visit with family. Radhe Radhe... Nearest Ashtvinayak from Pune City. We visited on 22nd October. Bring Padwa and a Wednesday we had to take the queue for around 1 hour. Very peaceful we took blessings of bappa. Wonderful feeling

Lord shiva temple is especially famous for new weds coming here to seek a blissful life. The turmeric powder holi is a unique tradition of this temple where all devotees offer turmeric powder to lord shiva and also pour turmeric in the air. You will have to cross hundred stairs to reach to this ancient temple but it's totally worth. The energy and vibes at the top are simply amazing.

"Jejuri Khandoba Temple is truly a divine and spiritual place. Located on a hilltop, it requires climbing around 400-450 steps, but the journey itself feels very peaceful and energizing. The view from the top is beautiful, and the temple atmosphere is filled with positivity.

I recently visited Khandoba temple at Jejuri as Khandoba is out deity and we often visit this place to take blessings , this time I went with my father and we decided to take steps to climb up the fort as kid I visited but this time it was bit difficult for my father as he is 60+ now but it took us like 30 min to climb up we took breaks to have water in between but when we reached up it was all worth it despite Sunday the number of visitors were less , we got the darshan and then we proceeded back to pune , only issue is that you will find rikshaws easily , and food availability is less like less options are there .

After darshan, when exiting from the left side, you will notice two people sitting near the exit gate inside the temple. Be cautious—they call out to you, ask your name, and request a donation in the name of God. You’ll see ₹200–₹500 notes in front of them. It’s best to avoid engaging with them. 2. It's advisable to stay away from local pandits, as some may try to extract money from you. 3. After the darshan, you can visit the place where Shahaji Raje and Shivaji Maharaj met.

Went here on 3 Aug 2025, Beautiful temple on a mountain. Khandoba is a form of Mahadev. My visit was unplanned, felt like he called me and I went. Lovely and memorable place.

Must visit place if you are in Pune and planning to travel. We travelled from pune very early hence we did not find any crowd. You will love the place.
