One of the best place in Morbi to hangout. I would strongly suggest to visit this place when you are in the city. There is a safe and enough place for parking.
Sunny V — Google review
As one enters Morbi swaying pylons of the suspension bridge and the beatific riverfront is a nostalgic reminder of Victorian London. Located 64 km from Rajkot is the town of Morbi with its quaint cobbled alleyways and buildings reminiscent of 19th century Europe. Morbi’s former ruler Sir Waghji inspired by Colonial influences designed a technologically planned and versatile city. The visitor is welcomed into the city through a grand suspension bridge, an artistic and technological marvel of that period. European influence in town planning further contributed to a central square known as the Green Chowk, approachable by three gates each designed in its own inimitable style incorporating both Rajput and Italian elements.

Shree Ghela Somnath Mahadev Mandir

Mentioned on

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Shree Ghela Somnath Mahadev Mandir is a less popular but historically significant temple in Gujarat. It holds the Shiva Linga that was brought here from Somnath during an attack by Ghori, with Minaldevi and Ghelo Vanoyo risking their lives to protect it. The temple is about 40 minutes away from Gadhada and offers food, stay facilities, and parking for devotees.
Which we know by the name of Mahadev, that is Bholiyanath, that is Ghela Somnath Mahadev, which is located in Jasdan taluka. This is the Shankar Bhagwan temple, which we know by the name of Ghela Somnath. On the circumambulation path of Ghela Somnath temple, the names of the twelve Jyotirlingas and information about them are given. When you enter the temple, a garden has also been made on its left side in the name of the martyred soldier. What else can I say where there is real Somnath Mahadev and also Ghela Somnath, to whom you can get whatever you wish for.A photo of the history of Ghela Somnath has also been added to the review.

The temple is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. It is very well maintained, and you can clearly see the efforts of the management and staff in keeping everything clean and organized. The surroundings are calm, the atmosphere is divine, and the entire place gives a sense of peace and positivity. However, visitors should also understand that it’s our shared responsibility to keep the temple clean. The staff and volunteers work hard every day to maintain the beauty and purity of this sacred place, but public cooperation is equally important. Please avoid littering, follow the temple rules, and help maintain the cleanliness and serenity of this divine place. A big appreciation to the temple management for their excellent maintenance and devotion towards keeping this holy place so pleasant and peaceful.

Hiren J — Google review
I have been visiting Salangpur Hanumanji Mandir for almost 25 years now and have witnessed its amazing transformation — from a small temple to a grand tirtha sthaan. The growth in the last 5–7 years is truly remarkable. The new dharamshala, with 952 rooms, is incredible — it feels like a 5-star hotel with all modern amenities. The new bhojanshala is outstanding too, with an impressive capacity and excellent management. As for the temple, there are no words — simply divine. Every visit feels special, and the murti of Hanumanji astonishes me every single time. All this is possible only because of Hanumanji’s grace and blessings on everyone who visits. Jai Shree Ram! 🙏

A Truly Divine and Transformative Experience at Sarangpur Hanuman Temple ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars: A Must-Visit Pilgrimage Site in Gujarat The Kashtbhanjan Hanuman Temple in Sarangpur is not just a place of worship; it is an experience that touches the soul. My visit here was profoundly peaceful and spiritually uplifting. Atmosphere and Environment: The moment you step into the sprawling temple complex, you are struck by a sense of calm and divinity. The air resonates with chants and devotion. Despite the crowds (especially on Saturdays and Tuesdays), the management is incredibly efficient, ensuring a smooth darshan (viewing) process. The temple itself is stunning, showcasing the signature, intricate architecture associated with the Swaminarayan tradition. The cleanliness of the entire premises is commendable. Spiritual Significance & the Deity: The central belief that Lord Hanuman here alleviates all sufferings (kasht) and evil influences is powerful, and the atmosphere reinforces this faith. The murti (idol) of Hanuman Ji is majestic and vibrant, inspiring instant reverence. Facilities and Hospitality: The temple trust does a fantastic job of managing facilities. Clean and affordable accommodation options are available, making it feasible for multi-day visits. The food at the canteen/dining hall is simple, hygienic, and satisfying. Overall Impression: My time at Sarangpur provided immense mental peace and a powerful spiritual recharge. It's a place where faith is visibly tangible. If you are seeking solace, a highly organized pilgrimage experience, or simply a magnificent architectural marvel, make sure to visit this divine abode. It is truly one of the most powerful and well-managed temples I have ever visited in India

Ahmadabad, the former capital of Gujarat, is famously known for being the dry state of India and is also a famous tourist spot. Its aesthetic views, exotic eatables and their rich heritage, makes it one of the most visited locations. The old Ahmadabad is declared as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City. One of the most beautiful places to visit in Ahmedabad is Vastrapur Lake. This quiet place acts as a getaway from the hubbubs of the chaotic city, while being located in the heart of the city. This lake is surrounded with thick lustrous green garden and the river side are embellished with various stones. At various occasions the water from Narmada River is allowed to flow into this river. The round pathway along the river attracts many health-conscious people for morning jog or workout. Vastrapur Lake also acts as the cultural hub of the city, as many cultural events are organized on the lustrous green lawn along the river bank. This place is an ideal weekend visit for a family picnic or maybe a small outing in the evening. This place is also ideal for children as it offers a children park especially designed for the amusement of the small humans. The park is open to its visitors every day from 8 am to 10 pm, no entry fees are charged to its visitors.

Sarkhej Roza is a captivating mosque and tomb complex that beautifully showcases the Indo-Saracenic architectural style, completed in 1451. Nestled amidst a serene landscape featuring a tranquil lake, this historical site reflects the rich Islamic culture intertwined with Persian influences and elements from Hindu and Jain traditions. Often hailed as the Acropolis of Ahmedabad, Sarkhej Roza stands as a testament to the city's heritage during Sultan Mahmud Begada's reign.
Sarkhej Roza is truly a must-visit place, especially for Sunni Muslims. The complex carries a rich heritage and deep history that makes it stand out among the iconic sites of Ahmedabad. The mosque here is very beautiful with intricate architecture, and the Roza itself is peaceful and inspiring. The entire place reflects Islamic art, culture, and spirituality. It’s not just a religious site but also a heritage landmark that gives you a glimpse into history. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore heritage, architecture, and spirituality together.
Syed A — Google review
★★★★☆ - A Magnificent Historical Complex with Some Practical Considerations Sarkhej Roza is truly a hidden gem of Ahmedabad with its breathtaking architecture. The complex houses beautiful tombs of kings and queens, showcasing amazing historical significance. I was particularly impressed by the grand and picturesque lake that enhances the serene atmosphere of this ancient site. The architecture is fascinating with its unique stylistic elements. The open courtyard provides a wonderful space to appreciate the intricate details of the structure and offers great photo opportunities. The exquisite lattice work and carved pillars throughout the complex are truly mesmerizing, especially when sunlight filters through. Important note: You must remove your footwear before entering the complex, which can be uncomfortable as the ground gets very hot and dirty. I strongly recommend wearing socks as mentioned in the guidelines. Also, avoid visiting during rainy days as the experience will be compromised, and extremely hot days can make the visit unbearable since you'll be walking barefoot on hot surfaces. Despite these minor inconveniences, Sarkhej Roza is definitely worth visiting for its historical significance and architectural beauty if you plan your visit during comfortable weather conditions.
Mel ( — Google review
Sarkhej Roza is a historically significant tomb complex with stunning Indo-Islamic architecture, but it’s sadly not well maintained. The entrance lacks the presence of a protected heritage site, and the overall upkeep doesn’t do justice to its legacy. It deserves better maintenance and stronger promotion to attract the attention it truly merits.
Ramana R — Google review
It as a peaceful and serene place, appreciating the intricate details, exquisite craftsmanship, and tranquil surroundings. The site is also noted for its historical significance and the artistry displayed in the latticework and calligraphy.
Muskan N — Google review
Sarkhej Roza, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a stunning architectural complex that beautifully blends Islamic and Indian styles. Built in the 15th century, it serves as a mausoleum for the revered Sufi saint, Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh. The site is a serene retreat, characterized by its elegant domes, intricately carved pillars, and expansive courtyards. Visiting Sarkhej Roza feels like stepping into a tranquil oasis, away from the city's hustle and bustle. The intricate latticework and exquisite calligraphy reflect the artistry of the period, making it a photographer's delight. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for contemplation and reflection. One of the highlights is the large water tank, which enhances the beauty of the surroundings and offers a serene spot for visitors to relax. The combination of historical significance and architectural splendor makes it an important cultural landmark. While it can be less crowded than other tourist spots, this adds to its charm. Sarkhej Roza is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or spirituality. It’s a place that invites you to connect with the past and appreciate the rich heritage of Gujarat.
Pathan N — Google review
Located just 8 km from Ahmedabad, Sarkhej Roza is a majestic 15th-century architectural complex nestled in the quiet village of Sarkhej. Revered as the "Acropolis of Ahmedabad", this site draws parallels to the Parthenon in Athens, not just in scale but in spiritual and architectural grandeur. Commissioned by Sultan Ahmed Shah for the esteemed Sufi saint Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh, the complex houses his serene tomb along with royal mausoleums of Sultan Mahmud Begada, his queen Rani Rajabai, their sons, an open Jama Masjid, a historic water tank, and a library-museum preserving ancient coins and manuscripts. The experience begins with a short walk from the parking area through arched stone gateways marked with history. Inside, one is greeted by massive sandstone pillars, cool marble flooring, and open courtyards. Despite the festive buzz of Eid, the complex retained a sense of calm and reverence. What stands out are the stone-carved walls, intricately decorated with Arabic-Indo geometric patterns—symmetrical, artistic, and beautifully weathered. Each section holds its charm: The royal tombs of Begada and his sons lie under richly carved domes, though sadly, some areas show signs of neglect. The tomb of Sheikh Ganj Baksh was active with local devotees in prayer and Quran recitation. A modest library and museum nearby, though disorganized, showcase old currency, documents, and artifacts. The once-grand 17-acre water tank, visible through lattice balconies, now lies dry, used only during the monsoon. It was originally built to support gardens and local needs. Unfortunately, the complex lacks signage and proper maintenance. Still, the place leaves a strong emotional and historical impression—a powerful reminder of Gujarat's rich spiritual and architectural heritage. Sarkhej Roza is not just a monument—it is a silent, crumbling manuscript of history, faith, and forgotten glory.
Shabeer H — Google review
Though not well-maintained, Sarkhej Roza is a beautiful historical structure and mosque which overlooks a lake. I hope the authorities keep it clean and look after it so that it can attract more visitors.

Lothal, Archaeological Remains Of A Harappa Port-Town

Mentioned on
1 list
Sights & Landmarks
Archaeological museum
Lothal, located in Gujarat, India, is an ancient city dating back to 2400 BCE and was a significant center of the Indus Valley Civilization. The name 'Lothal' means 'Mound of the Dead' in Gujarati. It was known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and drainage system. Situated along trade routes connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley, it played a crucial role in trade and commerce.
For history enthusiasts, Lothal offers a unique chance to walk through a city that was once a thriving port and trade center. It's a must-visit for history buffs, offering a rare glimpse into the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. While the site itself is impressive, visitor facilities and information are limited, so manage your expectations and prepare for a largely self-guided tour.

Slightly remote place, on the way to bhavnagar from ahmedabad. There is less public transportation means. Very nice place to feel the ancient history, no entry fees for visiting the site. Lothal museum is under construction about 5 km from the site.
Keshwanand K — Google review
A must-visit place for history lovers! Lothal is one of the most fascinating sites of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization. It’s amazing to see how advanced people were thousands of years ago — with a proper dockyard, drainage system, and town planning. The museum nearby showcases pottery, seals, and artifacts that give you a real sense of life during that time. The place is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a day trip from Ahmedabad. If you love history, archaeology, or just want to explore India’s ancient roots, Lothal is definitely worth visiting.
Darshan K — Google review
Not much in terms of excavation, but a lovely place teeming with birds! Though a huge museum is coming up nearby. Worth a visit only if passing through nearby.
Mehul J — Google review
The Harappa civilization site at Lothal is a very beautiful place. It exudes a sense of peace, and the cool breeze makes you wonder why the people of Lothal chose to live here—perhaps it was because of this serene environment and pleasant climate. Although the structures are very old, their condition is gradually deteriorating because visitors enter the ruins, causing damage. In its current open state, it seems like the Archaeological Survey of India is not actively preserving it. The cemetery appears almost lost, with no accessible path to reach it. Overall, the site is very enriching for history enthusiasts, while others may see it as just a casual visit. However, you can truly appreciate that the people of that era had knowledge of science and mathematics. The government should take action to protect and preserve this heritage site.
Rajveer P — Google review
Visiting lothal on weekends specially on early morning drives is recommended. I have visited yhe site at post monsoon so the dockyard is full of water giving real vibe. The location shows there is a museum is permenent closed. If you have prior knowledge of this site then this visit could be the most interesting. Otherwise you real roam around and exit.
Devashree P — Google review
Best time to visit this place is during winters. You will be able to sit and experience the thousands of years of history here. A must visit for history enthusiast. Currently the archeological musuem is under construction. There is no information when it will open again, therefore you won't be able see the artifacts that have been found here. But the site is open and you can definitely visit it.

Seeing the ancient dockyard and town layout felt like stepping back in time. Display photos of interesting artifacts explains things nicely. The area is peaceful, clean, and easy to explore. Carry water and a cap because the sun likes to attend the tour too. Great spot for a short, educational family trip. Perfect for anyone curious about old Indian history in a calm setting.

Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad is a must-visit destination, offering a variety of attractions and activities. The iconic Sabarmati Ashram, located on the river's shores, is a significant historical site where Mahatma Gandhi spent several years. It now serves as a museum showcasing objects related to India's fight for independence. The riverfront promenade features parks, boating facilities, zip-line amusements, and markets.
Narmada river front is an absolute beauty. It seems like we are in a European country. Best time is to visit in evening or after sunset and take a stroll here. They are provide rented bicycle, scooter and even stakes to enjoy with friends and family. Amazing place and a must visit for everyone coming to visit Ahmedabad.

I went to Sabarmati Riverfront early in the morning during my exam days, and it turned out to be a very relaxing experience. The place is calm, the sound of the river waves is very soothing, and the cool morning breeze makes it even better. Ahmedabad can be quite hot, so visiting this place in the morning felt really peaceful. There’s a metro station around 2 km away, so it’s also easy to reach. The main riverfront area is open 24/7, but if you want to visit the Atal Bridge or garden area, they open after 9 AM. There are trees all around, and you can even find bicycles nearby to ride, though they are a bit costly. Still, it’s a good experience, especially for visitors from outside the city. Overall, a great spot for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax in the fresh air.
Ansh R — Google review
The riverfront is very beautiful and it is very peaceful during non-peak hours. I visited during early morning hours and I saw people cycling and jogging on the promenade. The river was very calm and greenery was lush. The infrastructure developed by the government there is very well maintained. The walking space is huge and very picturesque. The long riverfront offers ample space to exercise, cycle, run and walk. The place is also clean and not littered by plastic. I also saw a river cleaning boat gathering trash that was thrown in river during early hours.

The Sabarmati River is one of the major and most beautiful rivers in Ahmedabad. The riverfront offers a peaceful and refreshing experience, making it a perfect place for morning walks or evening strolls. The area is well-maintained and clean, with seating arrangements and walking paths along the river, making it ideal for spending time with family and friends. You can enjoy the breeze, watch birds, and simply relax while taking in the scenic views. Visiting the Sabarmati River provides a calm and relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing you to connect with nature. If you’re in Ahmedabad and want to enjoy peace, natural beauty, and a serene riverside atmosphere, Sabarmati River is a must-visit spot. 🌿✨

e Sabarmati Riverfront is a major urban revitalization project in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, that transformed a neglected riverfront into a public recreational space with parks, gardens, promenades, event venues, and improved infrastructure. The project, which began in 2005, created public riverfront land by channeling the river, enabling year-round water management, reducing pollution, and providing a space for recreation, public events, and improved traffic flow. It features a two-level promenade, cycling paths, and public seating, and has become a venue for events like the International Kite Festival.

Sri Siddhivinayak Devasthan | Mahemdavad

Mentioned on

Hindu temple
Place of worship
Nestled in the serene surroundings of Mahemdavad, Gujarat, the Sri Siddhivinayak Devasthan is a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh. Its unique elephant-shaped architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens create an inviting atmosphere for visitors. The temple houses a stunning idol of Ganesha on the third floor, while the first floor showcases various Ganesha idols from around the world, each with its own story.
We went to the Asian's biggest temple of lord Shree Ganesha during summer vacation. It makes up from the mountain and cave structured temple makes me feel like I'm on an adventure! It was a blissful and great experience with family and friends both. I liked the Prasadam arrangement, entering the temple, various Ganesha's sculptures across the world there. I would love to go there again and again!!💕

A beautiful and wonderful temple of lord ganeshji at bank of vatrak river in mahemdavad town of kheda district in gujarat. It is near from Ahmedabad and nadiad. The main thing about this mandir is shape, that is given to the lord ganeshji's face. The temple is made with Australian technique. There is also temple of lord Shiva, arbuda ma. It is asia's biggest temple of lord ganeshji with shape of ganeshji's face.

Peaceful spiritual destination that blends devotion with beautiful architecture. The temple’s serene atmosphere, clean surroundings, and the divine idol of Lord Ganesha create an uplifting experience for every visitor. The premises are well-maintained, and the staff are polite and helpful. Whether you visit during festivals or on a regular day, the energy here feels calming and positive. A must-visit for those seeking blessings and a moment of peace away from the hustle of daily life.

Sri Sidhi Vinayaka Devasthala is a unique and beautiful temple, known for holding the record of being the biggest Ganesha-shaped temple. The architecture and premises are really impressive and well maintained. I visited during Ganesha Chaturthi, so it was quite crowded and took around 30 minutes in line. The temple is properly managed and clean, with a food court and even a small game zone for kids, which makes it family-friendly. Overall, a very nice spiritual and cultural spot to visit in Ahmedabad.

“Peaceful & Divine Experience” Siddhivinayak Temple in Mehmdavad is truly a place filled with positivity and devotion. The temple is beautifully maintained and gives a very calm and spiritual vibe the moment you enter. Darshan is smooth, and the environment feels peaceful with the chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” all around. The temple premises are clean, well-organized, and perfect for spending some quiet, prayerful time with family. If you’re in Mehmdavad, this temple is definitely a must-visit for blessings and peace of mind. 🙏✨

Shri Siddhi Vinayak Devasthan which is located in Mehmadabad. It is very beautiful and stands out in terms of design because the shape of the temple is made like the shape of Ganpati Bappa's face. This temple is two-storeyed, in which the temple of Ganpati Bappa is on the second floor, the temple of Mahadev on the first floor and the shopping area on the ground floor. This temple is open from 6 am to 10 pm. There is also a food court where you can eat whatever you want, in which South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese and Gujarati and fast food are available. But there is nothing good to eat here. There is also a very large space for parking outside. Many people also do their own vows here. In which you have to bring your own wheat and make it upside down near the temple and after the vow is completed, you have to come back to the temple and make a straight vow from the wheat.

Absolutely fabulous place. We went here for the 2nd time today and had a wonderful time. No crowd so that's a solace. One can enjoy bird watching in pace without the noise of people. The bird watching tower is nicely located. Ample parking space and no entrance fee. Its just 80 kms from our home. 100% recommended

Excellent just love ❤️ this place. This place is owned by Amul company itself. Located just outside the main production facility. All amul products are available here some of which are not available in local shops all across the country. Beside amul normal products atta, ketchup, cola , bread etc are available here. Quality is too good. Amul cola is good in taste. Keychup also tastes very good.

The Enjoy City - Waterpark & adventure park

During summer who not wants to go in water park?? 😌 Well, i have visited the enjoy city water park last year. Such a nice journey. If you have your own vehicle then you can easily reach at there. But if you haven't your personal vehicle, then you have to travel through local transport and road is very very rough you can't reach at location easily. Road is very much rouff i think this is the bad part of that journey. If i talking about riding at there, such a huge ride like pendulum and other 4 5 floor ride. It's worth to money which you spend there. Also their music system i also like. They have best ride at there but some ride is not there so hope in upcoming time they built new rides and it's canteen is also good. I really like it. I recommend public to go there and take advantage of such a nice Glory of Gujarat. 🥰
Jaydip — Google review
The place looks very good. All rides are fine. But I must say take shower before going into the water park and after finishing, otherwise you may get some infection like skin burning issue or red skin issue. Everything else is fine. Food quality is also good.I enjoyed a lot.
Dev — Google review
Its okay for one time visit, as rides are open for particular schedule hours. And also not proper kind of cleanliness + management, Yah but for particular price range should be a best choice. They should focus more on cleanliness/neatness/hygeine.

~The Enjoy city is very good place for one day fully refreshing picnic. ~For water rides & slides 5 out of 5. ~natural atmosphere & greenery not as expected. ~adventure park is plus point for enjoy city. ~ adventure park entry fee included with water park tickets but you have to pay extra for some premium rides. ~ food taste was good but it's little bit costly. ~ Out side food is not allowed in water park. ~ overall great experience.
Hardik S — Google review
We have visited this Place on Sunday. I got a Negative feedback From my Friend About this water park. But Actually i found this place better. I would personally say if you Visit this place on Vacation Days it would be Definitely Full of Crowd and that's Natural. But if you plan to Visit this place on Non seasonal Day's like monsoon and Winter you would definitely find less Crowd here and you will also enjoy all Rides. Likes : 1 All Rides. 2 Most Like Rides Are Cobra and near to that all Big Rides. These Rides Are Most excited and Paisa Vasool Rides. 3 Advance Booking Facility. 4 Staff was very Cooperative and Kind. 5 Other Facilities Like Baby Cradle Facility is Provided. 6 Food was Amazing. There are all type of Food Available Like Full Dish, Fast Food, Ice cream, Cold Drinks. Dislikes : 1 Price Of Food is too high aa compared to Other water parks. 2 at many places Floor is not proper. The Flooring is Damaged so there is small stone's which may Cause an Injury. 3 Power cut is Many Time during a Day. 4 Amusement park is not so attractive and big. All the 5 paid premium Rides should be keep Free. Overall I would Suggest this water park to Visit once. If you make a booking Advance it's actually very Cheap. This is a good Deal.

Superb Water park Ever.. 👌Huge rides and separate rides for children as well. Wave, Foam shower, Open Rain dance, Closed rain dance with lighting are awesome, Very good facilities for Food and drinking water. > Only need improvement on below points, 1. Water quality is not good, mixed to much dust. 2. Need to reduce space between joint parts of rides which causes the scratches on back. 3. In some closed ride we haven't enjoyed because of total darkness, need to keep transparent sheet in between little distance in whole ride or fit the LED lighting in different colors. 4. Floor Tiles are very sleepy where the building of rides. Also Railings not fitted correctly and somewhere it's broken which causes the incident. Finally, it's superb. Must visit at least once

3rd class 3rd class 3rd class Dirty Dirty Dirty …. Must go through my shared photos. One of the 3rd class water park in Gujarat. There was no any system from starting to end. Tickets process was very difficult. Ticket provider staff was very incapable. We have spoiled 2 hours for tickets. After tickets, there is no any proper system for costume and locker. Price of costume is also high compare to the Best water park Shankus. Water was very very very very dirty. I will never suggest this water park. There was only Lil in the water. Very unhealthy. Walking footpath is also very bad you can see the photos in my review. Changing room and Locker room was very dirty. Door was broken and very dirty. Even dirty than public toilets. Parking was also very bad. They took 50 Rs for parking but I don’t know why there ware talking 50 Rs. Rides waiting are was very dirty. Even can’t stay there due to dirty smell. Very bad experience in my life. They just run the water park for money. I will never suggest anyone. Shankus and Bliss are best water park in Gujarat.
Dipen P — Google review
Very bad experience, no maintenance at all of slides and places. Water is also dirty, literaly algae is formed, they dont replace the water after a day. Canel made for boating is also closed. Water is very dirty (green with algae). Electricity is also not stable there. 3 times electricity went off during a day. Food quality served in their canteen is very poor and costly. No sweeper is there to clean the area.

Constructed by the Indian Army, this contemporary temple features a geodesic dome covered with aluminum sheets, designed by renowned architect Gerard da Cunha. It has been under construction for over 25 years and incorporates aspects of major Indian religions.
The EME (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) Temple, also known as the Dakshinamurthy Temple, is one of Vadodara’s most unique and lesser-known attractions. Managed by the Indian Army, this temple is a fine blend of modern architecture, spiritual significance, and historical importance. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, in his Dakshinamurthy form, symbolizing wisdom and enlightenment. The EME Temple is a must-visit for those who appreciate unique architecture, spirituality, and peaceful surroundings. It’s an excellent place for devotees, tourists, and history enthusiasts alike. Whether you are religious or not, the temple's ambience and design make it worth visiting at least once. Architectural Significance: The temple stands out with its geodesic dome structure, made of aluminium sheets, which is quite rare for a religious site. Designed with a futuristic approach, it incorporates elements from various religions: The dome represents Islam The tower (Shikhara) takes inspiration from Hindu temple architecture The entrance resembles a Christian church The golden structure inside symbolizes Buddhism The grill work is inspired by Jain temples

The EME Temple in Vadodara is one of the most unique and peaceful places you can visit in the city. The temple has a very serene atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for anyone seeking peace and spiritual calm. What makes the temple truly special is its modern design and architecture. Unlike traditional temples, this one has a distinct structure with symbolic elements representing different religions, which beautifully reflects the message of unity and harmony. The surroundings are very well-kept, with greenery and a calm environment that instantly makes you feel relaxed. Whether you come here for prayer, meditation, or just to spend a few quiet moments, the temple offers a refreshing break from the busy city. If you are visiting Vadodara, the EME Temple is a must-visit—not just for its spiritual significance but also for its architectural uniqueness and peaceful ambience.

Out of respect, we didn't click any pics instead of the temple. 1. The guards were very polite and humble to talk to. 2. There are many sculptures, and I request people not to touch them. 3. The gurudwara is one of its kind. Do not miss it. 4. Peaceful and very well maintained place. 5. You have to submit your identity proof. They will return it once you are done with your exit. There is no charge or fees.

The temple is unique with main deity as Dakshineshwar Shiva in form of Shiv Murti (rather than linga). The temple is located within the premises maintained by Indian Army and hence entry is regulated where you need to carry an Identity Card (License, PAN, Aadhar or such). Needless to mention that being maintained by Army it is very clean and crowd is managed well. The temple premises have various small shrines of multiple gods, Navgraha, Ganpati, Sai Baba, Buddha, etc.

I am visiting it since my childhood. In the heart of the city, one of the oldest temple yet so esthetic, peaceful, calm and positive vibes around. EME (Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Temple) or also known as Dakshinamurthy temple is under the preservense of EME. Hence one of the groupember must submit Photo ID proof with number of person taking entry and vehicle details. After that they'll allow you to take your vehicle in. If you are riding 2 wheeler, helmet is cumpolsary for all travellers otherwise you need to park outside the entry point and go by walk. Temple timing: 5:30 am to 08:30 pm. Dress code: Modest clothing that covers the shoulders, chest, and knees.

Nice Garden Lots of greenery Only negative is that there’s a buggy car with 20 INR per person ride, since no one around they took 100 INR for us 3 as no one was taking buggy. On asking how many minutes, counter lady told 15/18 minutes and once we sat on buggy, in exactly 9 minutes he got us back. We felt cheated but they didn’t bother. Toy Train also had big waiting for train parked and lots of kids and family disappointed

Lukshmi Vilas Palace is a grand 19th-century palace surrounded by beautiful gardens and home to an art museum, concert hall, and zoo. Commissioned in 1890 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the palace was designed by Charles Mant and Robert Chisholm, known for their Indo-Saracenic architecture that blends European and South Asian styles. Visit Vadodara and don't visit Lakshmi Vilas Palace, your trip will be incomplete! This is not just a palace, but a living history of the amazing art, heritage and splendor of the Gaekwad rulers of Gujarat. In my opinion, this palace is one of the most magnificent and well-maintained royal residences in India. Architecture and grandeur: This palace was built in 1890 in the Indo-Saracenic style. It is said that this palace is four times larger than Buckingham Palace! Its huge doors, beautiful windows and intricate carvings will amaze you. Interior splendor: The interior work of the palace is truly amazing. The flooring, exotic tiles, murals and colorful glass windows of the 'Darbar Hall' are a sight to behold. The museum section houses a collection of rare items and weapons of the Gaekwad family, which will take you back in time. Vast grounds: The vast and lush garden of the palace gives immense peace. The small golf course behind the palace adds to its grandeur. The atmosphere here is very peaceful and beautiful in the evening. My experience: I have visited this palace many times, and every time I am happy to see the maintenance here. An audio guide facility is also available to explain the art and history inside to the tourists, which is very helpful. This is a special place for families, history lovers and architecture students. Tip: Photography enthusiasts should visit here early in the morning or before sunset.

It was the best experience ever.. such a nice palace Laxmi Vilas Palace, Vadodara..A good, nice palace with equally huge gardens and its own golf course.. they have cricket academy also.. and LVP garba is most famous in here.. Though only a very very small part of the entire palace is open for public display. They have good AV and give you the Device with earphones to listen to the entire history & details about the Palace, its history, Royal Family and many things. It goes on and on for more than 2 hrs. However, we took 1 hour to explore whole palace.. They have a nice small cafe inside..

Visiting Laxmi Vilas Palace is truly a royal experience. The sheer grandeur of the architecture, the beautifully manicured gardens, and the rich history reflected in every corner make it a must-visit. The palace interiors showcase exquisite artwork, ornate halls, and royal collections that transport you back in time. We visited during the weekend so it was a bit crowded. We didn't have to wait in a queue. The security at the entrance n exit guide you with the needed information. The museum inside offers fascinating insights into the Gaekwad dynasty, with displays of weapons, paintings, and artifacts. The Darbar Hall, with its stunning chandeliers and Venetian mosaic flooring, is breathtaking. The audio guide is well-curated and helps you appreciate the heritage even more. The sprawling lawns and golf course add to the charm, and the upkeep of the property is commendable. Entry is well-organized, though prior permission is required for certain areas. Overall, Laxmi Vilas Palace is not just a monument but an experience that blends culture, history, and elegance. A must-see gem of Vadodara. There are some places in the premises that needs a lot of restoration and the exterior needs some renovation work and painting. It rained a lot that day so we had to rush back from the lawn area. Overall a well spent outing which can be completed in an hour or a little more. Photography is prohibited inside the palace

Beautiful place to visit. No regrets. It takes 2 hours to fully explore the palace. The audio guide is included in the ticket. So keep your tickets safely and don't lose them. To collect the audio guide show your ticket in the office administration and tell them the preferred language. The first point of the start of the palace is the statue near the Golf lawn. Don't miss the painting which is at the exit, before that you have to submit the audio guide and take sign.

The architecture is breathtaking — a stunning blend of Indo-Saracenic design, intricate carvings, and beautiful domes that reflect the rich heritage of the Gaekwad dynasty. The palace museum houses a fine collection of royal artifacts, weapons, paintings, and sculptures that offer a glimpse into the glorious past. The lush green golf course and the huge palace grounds make the experience even more delightful. The audio-guided tour is very informative, giving visitors deep insights into the royal family’s lifestyle and the palace’s history. The maintenance of the property is excellent, and the staff are polite and helpful. Photography is allowed in certain areas, so don’t forget to capture the stunning views. Visiting Lukshmi Vilas Palace feels like stepping into a chapter of royal history — majestic, elegant, and unforgettable. A must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Vadodara!

The Golden Bridge, an architectural gem connecting Ankleshwar and Bharuch, is a remarkable feat of engineering that dates back to 1881. Constructed by the British to facilitate trade and administration across the Narmada River, this bridge stands out not only for its historical significance but also for its unique design resembling a beautiful maze. The iron used in its construction is both rugged and resistant to rust, making it more valuable than modern steel.

Ajwa garden is a nice breakout from the city with several rides to enjoy as well as being Instagram friendly. We went on a sunday and it wasnt much crowded ( may be because of monsoon). We paid rs 195 per ticket for entry that included 2 free rides. Waterpark and water rides were not included in that ticket. It was fun visiting the garden. There was electric cycle option that charged rs 100 for 10 mins and was good to get a roy d of the entire park. The food court is nice and cost reasonable. The rides stopped as soon as it started to rain. There were ample parking place at the entry.

Place is awesome to go with friends but there one thing I did feel good that there is low locker facility like out 1k people only 300 or 400 will get locker to store their luggage so that time we waited too much and feel awkward to wait too long and one more thing they allow only swimming suits so don't go with cotton or other material clothes

I’ve been to Essel World in Mumbai and a few other amusement parks, so personally, I didn’t find this one particularly impressive. That said, it’s still worth visiting once—especially if you’ve never been to an amusement park with rides before. It can be a decent experience for first-time visitors or families looking for something light and fun.

Management should limit the people in our entry. Their is notany limit we have taken 1200 rstikit perperson with unlimited ride. I visited this Aquarium as part of my Surat sightseeing during Christmas vacations of 2024. The place wasn't too crowded. I felt that the entry fees is relatively high. The aquarium is operational and hosts a variety of fishes including some sharks. A really large variety of fishes in all sizes and shapes and colors can be seen here, spread across 2 floors. The place is quite well maintained on the inside but I'd say if some renovation is done on the outside too, especially at the entrance stairs then this would be a good place to spend some time.

On a Thursday afternoon, there were hardly any visitors. The ticket charges (₹ 100 per person) appear prohibitive. There are several sections in the aquarium. Many types of fish in different Glass tubs. Mostly, this is like all other aquariums. Some sections appear to be closed to the public view. Best thing is that the whole complex is nicely air conditioned. Very comfortable when outside weather is quite hot.

A Must-Visit Spot in Surat for Families and Kids! Visited Jagdishchandra Bose Municipal Aquarium on a weekday with kids and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. Located right within Surat city, the place is well-maintained, clean, and fully air-conditioned — a perfect retreat on a warm day. Entry tickets are reasonably priced at ₹100 per person, and there’s ample parking space too. The aquarium itself is quite spacious and offers a rich variety of sea life. Tanks are clean, well-lit, and neatly labelled. Kids and adults alike were fascinated by popular attractions like the shark, sea snake, stingray, and turtles. What really caught everyone's eye were the rare, colorful fish species — many of which kids were excited to recognize from their school lessons! The highlight, though, is the life-sized whale skeleton, beautifully preserved and displayed. It’s incredible to learn that this whale had swum up to Dumas Beach before it passed away, and the authorities have done a remarkable job preserving it for educational purposes. Highly recommend this spot for families, especially those with young kids — it’s educational, exciting, and very well put together. Signing Off, Hiral Amodia (Insta: @amodiahs)

Great place. Less charge and really many types of fish they have even like sharks. It's thrilled to see the shark swimming in front of my eyes... You can buy the tickets in advanced by downloading surat municipal corporation app.

. Would have given full 5 Star, but the maintenance is not acceptable - the facilities are available. . The Whale skeleton kept outside is not photographically optimum. . Most of the operational water chambers are clean and good for the camera. . Better to use high speed shutter for fast moving fishes (1/400 to 800) - then edit a bit . ❌ Toilet is very badly maintained. . A few chambers are kept empty. . Overall good as the largest Aquarium of Gujarat! . The building really looks huge from outside. ♿ ✅ Fully accessible with wheelchair available on request. ♿🚻✅ ♿🅿️✅

Ubhrat Beach, also known as Umbharat Beach, is a popular destination along the Arabian Sea near Navsari of Surat in Gujarat, India. This black sand beach is located 50 kilometers from the center of Surat and offers a great experience for families and groups. Despite some concerns about cleanliness due to littering or garbage washed ashore by the sea, it remains a favorite spot for picnics and leisure activities.
Ubhrat Beach is a perfect spot for a one-day picnic with children and family. The place is very clean, with no pollution, offering a pure, natural atmosphere. You can truly feel the refreshing waves of the ocean here. Parking can get busy on weekends, so it's best to arrive early. One of the cleanest beaches near Surat, it’s great for playing, rolling in the sand, swimming, building sand structures, and recreating your childhood memories. "The waves don’t just wash the shore, they cleanse the soul." Ubhrat Beach is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy nature, especially if you're looking for a peaceful experience. On weekdays, the crowd is very minimal, which makes it perfect for spending quiet, quality time. The beach sees more visitors mostly on weekends. One of the highlights here is the size of the waves — they are quite large compared to nearby beaches like Dumas, Dandi, and Tithal, which makes the view even more exciting. Camel rides are also available for some fun and entertainment, especially for kids. Overall, it’s a great place to visit with friends and family for a calm outing near the sea.

Rang Avadhoot Maharaj Mandir, located on the banks of the Narmada River, is a serene and underrated spiritual destination. The mandir's tranquil surroundings and clean ghat for pujan offer a peaceful place for worship. The divine energy and harmonious atmosphere make it a unique haven for devotees seeking spiritual solace.
Avadhoot Chintan Shree Gurudev Datta. Very nice worship of Lord Dattatreya and Rang Avadhoot at this peaceful sanctuary and mandir. Make sure you visit the banks of the Narmada river as well for a heightened spiritual experience. Visited on Guruvar expecting a lot of people but it was not crowded. If you buy Prasad or flowers, make sure you hold on to it tight as monkeys are aggressive and will snatch it away if you let your guard down.

Rang Avdhoot Maharaj Mandir in Nareshwar is a peaceful and spiritually rich temple located by the Narmada River. The calm atmosphere and serene surroundings make it an ideal place for meditation and quiet reflection. The temple holds deep significance as it is the samadhi of Shri Rang Avdhoot Maharaj, and many devotees feel a special spiritual vibration here. The temple complex is clean and well-maintained, though some visitors mention that the riverbank could be better cared for. Basic lodging and food are available, but facilities are simple. The best time to visit is early morning or during sunset for a truly tranquil to experience. Festivals attract large crowds, so visiting on regular days offers a more peaceful atmosphere. Overall, this is a must-visit for those seeking inner peace and spiritual connection.

Very aesthetic place. Nice view of Narmada river. Vadodara about 50 kilometers. With parking facility. Best place to relax and meditate. But to reach near the river, we need to go downhill which is difficult for senior citizens. Same while going upwards. Excellent view. Camel and horse rides also there.
