I visited the Thiruchendur Murugar Temple last month. The temple is located near the seashore, and the surroundings looked very beautiful. Before going to the temple, I went to the beach and the Nazhikinaru Theertham, which are close to the temple. The sea breeze was cool and refreshing, and many people were enjoying themselves on the beach. I also visited Nazhikinaru, a small sacred well near the shore. The water there was surprisingly sweet, even though it is so close to the salty sea. I washed my hands and sprinkled a little water on my head before heading to the temple. After that, I entered the temple. The tall gopuram looked majestic, and I could hear devotional songs and temple bells. The temple was crowded with devotees but very clean and well managed. I slowly moved in the queue and had a nice darshan of Lord Murugar, who was beautifully decorated with flowers and ornaments. After the darshan, I received prasadam — warm and tasty sakkarai pongal. Then I went to the annadhanam hall, where they served hot food to all visitors. The meal was simple but delicious, and the volunteers served everyone kindly. Before leaving, I bought some small souvenirs from the nearby shops. My visit to Thiruchendur Murugar Temple was a happy and memorable experience.

The uniqueness of this temple is that all other 5 temples are located on a hill top or near a hill, but Tiruchendur is the only temple which is located near the sea shore. This temple is famous for the function kantha shasti or soora samharam, in which lord Subramaniya alias lord murugan kills the asuran Soorabhathman and saves the Devas from his torture. This temple is under the control of the Ministry of HR&CE , Government of Tamilnadu . Government has taken many measures to develop and increase the amenities for the people and the pilgrims to facilitate ease of movement of the crowd to worship the Lord Subramaniya and Lord Shanmuga which are the main deities of the temple.

Temple is near to beach. You can see sunrise and sunset while in the queue. It is not just a temple but a place full of peacocks. Beautiful nature. You can find budget friendly lodge near temple. We did not take any special ticket for darshan as it was weekday and no special occasion. But during occasion please opt for special darshan, it can reduce waiting time in queue. Definitely stay for a day and enjoy the beach view as well.

The temple just gives you peace , a different kind of energy you can feel once you enter the temple premises, for adults who are above 60 years of age can show there aadhaar can have a quick entry in the queue. This benefits are even for a new born. Along with a elder or a new born one can accompany. We get paneer leaf vibhoothi which is available inside the temple before darshan. Special queues are there that cost you around 100/- per person. Naali kinaru was in construction by the time we visited.

A peaceful and memorable visit to Madurai Meenakshi Temple I recently visited the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple and it was a beautiful experience. The temple is grand and full of history, with amazing carvings and colorful towers. At the moment, the towers are under renovation and painting work is going on, so most of them are covered. Still, the temple’s beauty and energy can be felt everywhere. Inside, the atmosphere is calm and spiritual. The darshan of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar felt very peaceful. Even though it was crowded, everything was fairly well organized. One thing to be careful about — there are a lot of people outside trying to mislead visitors, especially auto drivers and some shopkeepers. They might say there’s no cloakroom inside, but don’t believe that. There are official cloakrooms near all four temple towers where you can safely keep your slippers and mobile phones. This place is awesome. A lot of spiritual values with history. Located in between City. Market, shops, restaurant near by. Special Darshan can be available with 100 rs ticket for both temple inside the campus. Free darshan takes more time than usual. Now painting work is going on. And maybe it will six months atleast so now people not able to see it's beautiful architecture from outside. Mobile, Smart watch, earbuds etc not allowed inside temple. U can kept it in claok room with reasonable price less than 20rs accordingly. No special dress code required for this temple. Nearest junction is madurai and auto available easily or u can go by walk.

One of the most famous Temple of India , situation in Madurai. It's temple of Meenakshi Amman otherwise known as Devi Parvathi. Don't miss this temple ,it's also one of the oldest temple in India . Best time to visit will be during 5 or 6 AM in the morning,so that you can finish darshan in less than 30mins ,it gets crowded later in the day . The architecture is breathtaking, and they are still working on certain areas to make it even better. Every intricate detail on the walls is impressive and reflects the temple’s rich heritage. The people there are incredibly pure and kind-hearted. Their warmth and the way they treat visitors stood out to me—they genuinely make you feel respected and welcomed. Before entering the temple, there are a few important rules to follow. You must remove your shoes, and bags have to be deposited at the designated counters. Shoe storage is available for free at specific counters, which is very convenient. Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the temple premises, and you cannot leave your phone inside your bag. There is a special counter meant only for mobile phones, where they charge ₹5 per phone. So if you are planning to visit, it’s best to come hands-free or carry only what’s necessary so you can enter peacefully and enjoy the temple without any hassle. The famous kal alagar temple located in the hills of alagarmalai is quite a beautiful place to visit in Madurai. There’s a huge parking area outside the temple complex. The gopuram is tall and sculptures are well preserved. The main shrine is located 100 meters approx from the main entrance. Average waiting time is 15 to 20 minutes on weekdays

The temple is truly beautiful, and the prasadham is excellent. If devotees visit, the free line moves faster than the paid one, which is convenient. The Ramanujar shrine is a peaceful spot where you can rest, and the Perumal looks stunning. A visit to Shakarathalvar is a must, but before that, make sure to stop by the Karupu Swami Kovil at the entrance—the aroma of his sandhanam is heavenly. Such a worthy visit. Best temple to visit if you love ancient architecture. Best time to visit will be early in the morning and early in the evening before the temple closes, to avoid crowd. I was not able to get a Darshan because of the long que, even though it was disappointing, the exploration into the architecture made me compensate.

Srirangam is a magnificent temple with a vast, beautifully maintained complex. The divine idol of Anantha Shayana Vishnu in the main sanctum is truly awe-inspiring. Don’t miss the Lakshmi and Garuda shrines. The temple is very clean and well-managed. You can also opt for the ₹500 official ticket for direct darshan.

One of the two brahma temples in India. A must visit in Trichy. The historical significance makes this temple a place one should never miss when they are on a pilgrimage. There is a beautiful outdoor spaces surrounding the temple that lets you relax and meditate.

A nice and peaceful temple located out of the way in Tirupattur in Trichy. Unlike the more commercial temples, this one wasn't crowded. This is actually a Shiva temple with a special shrine dedicated to Brahma. Legend has it that after Shiva cursed Brahma that he wouldn't be worshipped, Brahma did severe penance at the location of this temple. Shiva pleased, allowed Brahma to have a shrine here. So Brahma apparently changed his destiny, which is what many of the devotees here aim to do. Various types of poojas are done here and there is a big board outside the temple listing how many deepams to be lit depending on what desire needs to be fulfilled, including 'blessing for the birth of a son' :) There are many monkeys in the area so be careful with any eatables. There are 12 shiva lingams in a garden next to the temple. These are situated near a tank called the Brahma Theertam. We visited in the evening, there were many bats inside the shrines containing the lingams. Please be careful if you want to step inside. There is also a statue of sage Patanjali in the temple.

The only temple where there is a separate shrine for Brahma. If course within the brahamapurreswarar temple. Brahma is cursed without any shrine or devotees because her lied having seen the head of Shiva. Well maintained temple but cleanliness needs a lot to be improved. Variety of deepams and coconut breaking rituals are well explained.

The temple is very beautiful and chill. No wait up needed as we visited during the day time. They have free parking facilities. It is walkable around the temple.

Presiding deity Lord Brahmapureeswarar is suyambu here and is seen slightly slanted. HIS consort Goddess Brahmasampath Gauri is housed separately in standing posture facing east. Lord Brahma worshipped 12 Lingams here including moolavar - devotees can see some near Brahma theertham and some in the prakaaram as well. A separate sannidhi for Lord Brahma, a big one with 3 heads is in the prakaaram. It is believed that Pathaanjali Muni attained JS here as well (one among 10 places). Not a falls person but this made me one. It was majestic, spectacular and huge. We had to climb down steep steps of 1100 steps to get down there. Getting up again might be difficult. But it's worth the trip. Literally the best falls in Tamil Nadu imo.

If you’re not used to long treks, take it slow and carry enough water. Once you reach the bottom, the sight of the “powerful waterfall” makes every step worth it! The pool at the base is perfect for a refreshing dip, though the currents can be strong, so caution is needed. The untouched beauty of the place makes it feel like a secret escape from the world. Tips for future visitors: ✅ Start early to avoid the midday heat. ✅ Carry snacks, water, and a change of clothes. ✅ Wear “non-slip shoes” the steps can be treacherous. ✅ If you have knee or mobility issues, reconsider the trek. The journey back up is even harder, so pace yourself. But honestly, the sheer beauty of Aagaya Gangai makes the struggle worthwhile. Defenetly not a choice if you are looking for more games, they have only very less games but more down in their website. The guy sitting in the reception billing section dint have patience to explain , he hardly responds.. The property is good, but only zip line game is kind of ok. I visited the ashram roughly after 5 years or so. This time I found quite a considerable number of visitors, more so youngsters or families with kids, which was surprising for a weekday after noon. The solitude atmosphere was no longer seen inside the ashram. But it was very noteworthy that despite the presence of so much crowd, there was comparatively very little noise. However, parking has become quite difficult. The area outside the ashram has been totally taken over by auto rickshaws and some of them even blocking the way.

One of the best places to visit . I am requesting each and every person who is visiting Arunachalam please visit this ashram also. No photos and videos are allowed inside the ashram . But while going to the hilltop we can take but be cautious with the monkey. But one small issue is there if you drop the slippers in the ramana maharshi ashram when you climb the hilltop then You must get down again to take the slippers but if you go from the backside of the ashram then you can climb the temple with the slippers under get back from the other side of the mountain to the temple.

The entire temple complex is spacious and well-organized, with good crowd management even on weekends. The darshan feels very divine, and the pradakshina path around the temple is calming. The temple is clean, and facilities like drinking water and resting areas are maintained well. Best to visit early morning or evening for a more peaceful experience. A truly sacred and must-visit temple. Divine time to visit is during full moon days and suggested to visit early morning. Be carefull of your belongings and pickpockets. Enough restaurants, drinking water, wahsroom facilities are available throuvh out Girivalam path. Auto facility available for Girivalam.

Arunachaleshwara Temple has impressive scale and architecture, spiritual significance as one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalam (Agni or fire), and the importance of the Girivalam (circumambulation of the Annamalai hill). It has a powerful, spiritual atmosphere, noting that the temple can be very crowded, especially during festivals or special events like Karthigai Deepam or full moon days., but also that early morning visits offer a more serene experience. Commonly mentioned engineering marvels of the temple, such as the massive stone construction and the mysterious shadow of the vimana and the spiritual energy of the place. You can pre-book just before 2-3 hours for darshan and can be booked both online and offline to avoid the long queues for darshan. Puja items are sold around the temple area.

Visited on week end. Too much crowded. Took around 5 hours to take the darshan. Finding car parking was difficult. Finally could able to park with the help of a auto drive around 800 meters away from Raja gopuram basically it's one of the entrance. Parking fee was Rs 80. I am not sure if this parking was really run by temple authority because it dint look so. Better to take Rs 50 entrance ticket to save some time. I was not aware that there is such facility. After the darshan we can buy sweet pongal and pulihogre for Rs. 10 each. Temple also sells laddus and other items priced Rs. 50 each.

Visited here during Pournami and did the Giripradakshina at night, starting around 12 AM and completing it by 6 AM. The crowd was massive, so after finishing the walk we took some rest in the morning as darshan was difficult due to the rush. Later in the afternoon, around 2 PM, we went for darshan and were able to complete it in just 30 minutes. The experience was peaceful and truly blissful — we really loved the place. Arulmigu Annamalaiyar (Arunachaleswarar) Temple in Tiruvannamalai is a major South Indian Shiva temple located at the foot of the sacred Arunachala Hill. Built by the early Cholas in the 9th century and expanded by later dynasties, it stands as a grand example of Dravidian architecture with many gopurams, mandapams, shrines, and temple tanks. The temple’s spiritual significance is highlighted in texts like Arunachala Puranam and Tiruppugazh, and Lord Shiva is believed to have manifested here as a self-born lingam under a magizha tree. Many saints, including Ramana Maharshi and Seshadri Swamigal, attained samadhi here. I visited today along with my friend, and the darshan was amazing. We spent nearly an hour in the temple after the darshan, and it filled us with a lot of positive energy. Please note: On Pradosham and auspicious days, the temple becomes highly crowded, and waiting time for darshan can range from 3 to more than 6 hours. Parking is also difficult, and you may have to park far from the temple and walk or take auto. If visiting with senior citizens, plan accordingly. Buying special dharshan ticket for Rs 50/- will help.. To avoid crowds, visit on non-festival days, non-auspicious days, and weekdays.

It is a very spiritual and peaceful place. A very good temple to visit with family and friends. The atmosphere is divine and gives a positive energy. Some suggestions for improvement: Currently, the entry fees are accepted only in cash. It would be better if they start accepting UPI or digital payments, as it is convenient for many visitors. Also, they often ask for exact change, which is difficult sometimes. In case of emergencies, it would be good if the management allows devotees to exit easily. For example, one parent’s kid was crying but they did not allow them to leave quickly and insisted on following the full queue. Since they are collecting entry fees, they should provide better services and facilities for devotees. Some of the management staff have a rude attitude, which can be improved to make devotees feel more welcomed. Overall, it is a must-visit spiritual place, but these small improvements can make the experience even better.

Heard about this place a lot so went on 5th oct 25 with family. The parking area was covered but still slushy due to overnight rains. We had to wade through the slush. Though entry fee was rupees 20 but no staff was available hence we entered free. The temple was maintained well. The siva lingams were placed in a orderly manner and pathway was built to access all the lingams. On the biggest lingam honeybees have built their honeycomb. Photo attached. Anyone can keep a lingam in their name after paying rupees 8000 for small one, 35000 for a bigger one and more than a lac for giant size siva lingam. A small pooja will be conducted then a space is allotted for your lingam. Drawback was they do not accept gpay or credit card or debit card only cash. This issue needs to be addressed by the temple authorities. They should not expect devotees to bring this much amount of cash. Infact for using toilet facilities the person collects rupees 5 per head via gpay though the toilet was nasty. The authorities must reign up the contractor. Overall a must visit place but take good amount of cash if you want to keep a lingam there.

Worthy of a one time visit only. Lots of various hindu deities within the complex, beside the 'koti' (meaning crore/ten million) shivlings spread across the place. Serene and peaceful yet this place is by no means a temple for offering prayers. It's clearly made out to be more of a tourist attraction. Starting from paid parking, entry fee of ₹20/- per person, directed visitors in a sequence to confront various hindu deities where the pujari's give you extra attention if one offers money. Better yet, these 'pujaris' coax every visiting individual to 'offer' money for 'blessings'. If one doesn't give/offer money, they grumble and show a care less attitude. Personally dissappointed and not likely to visit this place ever again. I reiterate, this place is more of a tourist attraction, not exactly a place of worship. Accordingly, go mentally prepared when visiting this place.

Temple is very good. Road is also nice to drive if you by Bangalore-Chennai expressway. The only thing which I did not like was at the entrance many transgenders who would demand money from everyone. Other thing is unnecessary forcing people through all the small temples in a queue. Rest all things are very nice and energy there is astonishing. Pujari told there was Brihma temple as well which is second only after Pushkar ji.

Kotilingeshwara Temple, located in Kamasandra near Kolar (about 90 km from Bangalore), is a unique and significant spiritual site. The name "Kotilingeshwara" translates to "Lord of a Crore (10 million) Lingas", symbolizing devotion and the massive scale of the temple's spiritual ambition. The main attraction is the 108-foot-tall Shiva Linga, one of the tallest in the world, accompanied by a 35-foot Nandi statue. Surrounding it are over 90 lakh (9 million) small Shivalingas, installed by devotees over the years. According to a priest there, around 10 lakh more need to be installed to reach the goal of 1 crore (10 million) Lingas, which is the temple's namesake and vision. The temple complex also houses shrines for many other deities such as Ganesha, Hanuman, Annapoorneshwari, Vishnu, and others, making it a multi-deity pilgrimage spot. That said, the experience feels over-commercialized. There's a mandatory ₹20 entrance fee, and almost every shrine has people expecting or insisting on donations, even for a simple darshan. Especially at the Annapoorneshwari shrine, visitors are pressured to donate ₹100 or ₹200 in exchange for a packet of vibhuti, which many may find forceful or inappropriate. Overall, it’s a fascinating temple to visit for its scale and symbolism, but be prepared for repeated donation requests and a very money-minded environment.

Recently visited the place early morning from Bangalore, the road is so good for a road trip. The timing of temple opening mentioned on google is wrong, it doesn’t open at 6 am it does at 7:30 am so plan your travel accordingly. There is ample parking space around the temple, footwear stands are available and some local shops around the temple. The entry ticket is Rs 20 per adult, kids below six years have free entry. The temple allows only traditional dress code for men and women, and phones are allowed inside the temple premises. There are many small temples inside of different deities along with all the lingams. There are many temple area is huge and takes at least an hour to visit fully. The views are mesmerising and definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime!

Worth visiting for Lakshmi’s blessings, but skip the ticket. 🙏🏻 It’s a beautiful temple and definitely worth visiting to receive the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. However, I don’t recommend buying the paid ticket — I got the ₹300 one and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. The free visit is more than enough to enjoy the temple. 🪷✨

Golden Temple is around 120 Kms from Tirupati spanning 100 acres. This temples Vimanam and Ardhagupuram is covered with pure gold around 1500 Kgs gold. Visitors must dress modestly. Wearing short pants are not allowed.

Very beautiful temple with huge campus area. Temple is surrounded by trees. Place is very clean and clam. Mobiles are not allowed inside. There are specific slots for free darshan. Otherwise need to pay for darshan. I took Rs. 300 Darshan, in that they will allow to sit in front of God for sometime also they gave Prasad. Restaurant, Parking, Accomodation facilities are available.

This was the best temple I've ever seen, the temple is made up of full gold and if you enter in the temple taking 150rs ticket you can do abisheka for 70kg golden Lakshmi idol, i recommend to take 150rs ticket that is best, and temple is open from 8am for 150rs ticket for free entry from 10am

Inside the fort, the Jalakandeswarar Temple adds a divine touch to the place. The lake around the fort gives a lovely view and keeps the surroundings fresh and pleasant. It is a great spot for those who love history, architecture, and photography. The wide open area inside the fort is perfect for exploring, but it can also be tiring, especially under the hot sun. The place is quite vast, so walking all around it takes time and effort. Despite the heat, the experience is worth it because the fort has so much character and beauty. A morning or evening visit might be more comfortable. Overall, Vellore Fort is an impressive structure that reflects India’s glorious past, surrounded by divine energy and natural charm.

Jalakantheshwar Mahadev temple is very ancient and beautiful temple, taken care by Archeological Survey of India, at Vellore Town. Present inside a fort surrounded by pool of water is an ancient marvel. The temple architecture is similar to Dravida type, has a shivling like mahakaleshwar of Ujjain. A must visit in Vellore.

Truly will be a worth tourist place if the maintenance done with good effort. A walk takes more than a hour to go around. But few areas looks like abondanded and not felt safe. No proper parking inside.. car/van are packed in crooked roads itself. I don't understand why maintenance is so poor and destroying the historical monuments slowly.

The temple is well maintained and monitored by security personnel. A large Nandi (bull) statue sits outside the temple facing the Shiva Lingam, as per tradition. Some of the sculptures show signs of erosion due to rain and harsh sunlight, and a few have suffered damage over time. Overall, it is truly worth visiting this temple, where Lord Shiva continues to be worshipped with devotion.

Visited with family on a bright, sunny day and were delighted by every corner of this monument. The Pallava-era complex, dates to around 700 CE, displays classic Dravidian architecture and an astonishing array of intricate stone carvings that reward slow exploration. The temple grounds are well laid out with a maintained lawn; sculpted panels and narrow corridors invite you to linger and absorb the stories in stone. Facilities are basic but the craftsmanship and sense of history make it an ideal family-friendly outing. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and aim for early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. Parking is a pain but available kerbside for free. Wasn't very crowded on a public holiday surprisingly. Perhaps it's not that popular with the current history seekers. Highly recommended for anyone who loves history, art, and architecture.

The craftsmanship is so fine that you can spend hours just admiring each carving. This place is a treasure of Tamil heritage — make sure you visit, you should not miss it.

Very beautiful temple and having wonderful architecture. Was not much crowded in the morning time on weekend. If you are in Kancheepuram don't miss to come here. Check the timings before visiting as it remains closed in the afternoon.

Temple space is very vast and there is a famous Mango tree inside the premises which is a must visit. The temple is under construction and hence many access points are restricted from public. Visited on a busy Sunday, the Ekambarnathar Temple in Kanchipuram greets you with a lively, devotional energy that complements its deep sense of history. The complex feels expansive yet intimate in places, with shaded corridors and open courtyards that make it easy to move between shrines and admire details at a relaxed pace. However, the parking area is a mess and muddied. We did park some distance away due to roadblocks within the city, but there is ample place for cars to be accommodated adjacent to the temple itself. The temple is one of the "Pancha Bhoota Sthalas", representing the five elements of Earth, and is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Ekambaranathar. A sacred mango tree is clearly noticed within the complex where Goddess Kamakshi (a form of Parvati) is said to have done her penance to win over Shiva in marriage. It is claimed that the four branches of the tree provide four differing varieties of mangoes in taste and shape with the tree itself being over 3500 years old. Architecturally, the complex showcases classic Dravidian architecture with towering gopurams, pillared halls, and richly carved mandapas. The site’s origins reach back many centuries, with major contributions from Pallava, Chola, and later dynasties; the complex spans a very large area and is among the most substantial temple precincts in the region. Take time to savour in the complex and the intricately carved pillars. Better infrastructure development around this would be helpful. The main entrance and gopuram has construction ongoing and thus not accessible.

We visited this temple on the Saturday evening. There was no rush at all. Temple entry is free & there weren't any special queue. The temple is magnificent and wonder of architecture. The temple is spread in large area. There is ample car parking space. The Shankaracharya Muth is very near to this temple. We felt a divine experience while visiting this temple.

Huge area to walk, need your full day time. Parking Fee - 150(car). Entry fee - 200 adult, 50 kids. Electric vehicle and cycle option inside. Aquarium, marine museum,all animal types, birds collection is huge(you will love this), reptiles (average). Kids play area park . Plenty of Tamilnadu state food options inside, avin milk stores, drinking water facility they are providing everywhere is fantastic. Good work TN Goverment

Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo) - a day well spent! I visited this sprawling zoo with my family, and we had a roaring time (pun intended). The highlight was definitely the Bengal tiger- those piercing eyes and majestic stripes left us in awe. We also spotted a rare white tiger, which was a treat. The lion enclosure was impressive, with the kings of the savannah lazing in the sun. The Indian bears were adorable, playing around. The giraffes were another favorite, with their long necks and gentle eyes. We enjoyed watching them roam. The peacocks were a sight to behold, spreading their vibrant feathers in a stunning display. The cassowari, with their unique casques, were an interesting sight. The zoo is spread over a vast area, with plenty of greenery and naturalistic enclosures. It's a great place to spend a day with family and learn about wildlife conservation. Overall, a fun and educational experience! 4.5/5 stars. Highly recommended for families and wildlife enthusiasts!

Visited Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo) recently and it was an amazing experience! The zoo is huge, very well maintained, and has a great variety of animals. We really enjoyed the lion safari and deer safari totally worth it! 🦁 🦌 Yes, the ticket prices felt a bit on the higher side, but considering the size and upkeep of the zoo, it's completely justified. A perfect place to spend a day with family or friends. Full paisa wasool experience! 👍🏻 ✨✨

The Vandalur zoo is a very vast area. The number of animals, when we went with family during a weekday, were less. I understand that this is a very old zoo but it is not properly maintained. There are not many indications about which way we have to go (if you are planning to take the cycles or go by walk). The is a tour available in buggy but they just drive through. Many animals shelters are poorly maintained. There is only one restaurant which provides food during lunch. The quality is questionable, but no other choice. Own food also is not allowed inside. Get plenty of water if you are walking in the zoo. There are kiosks were water bottles are available but we need to return them intact (not to crushed, no stickers to be removed, etc) if we need to get the deposit amount for the water bottles. Again hygiene of these water bottles is questionable. One good use of technology is in buying tickets. Instead of waiting in queues to buy tickets, we can scan QR code to get the tickets in WhatsApp.

A great zoo to visit!!! Entry ticket: 200/person Electric vehicle fees: 150/person Deer and Lion safari: 150/person A great zoo with lots of animals. Each animal has ample space for roaming around owing to large enclosures. There are toilets and drinking water at regular intervals of time. The no plastic policy is also highly recommendable, especially since there are free animals like deer roaming around the park. Modes of travel inside the park: 1. Walking (will take around 4 hours to walk around the whole park) 2. Cycles 3. E-bike 4. E-carts (park is divided into zones. The cart will take you from entrance to first zone and the let you off. You can roam around till whenever you need and the go to the pickup point. The e-carts will pick you from this pickup point and transfer you to the next point and so on. Also note that this mode of travel will not cover all animals, especially those that are between zones during transit). There are also small shops selling cold as well as hot drinks and snacks. I recommend going to the safari after visiting the zoo because the safari bus is air conditioned and helps you cool off a bit before leaving the park. However, the safari was not as good. There were three lions near an enclosure and some deer.

Visited Vandalur Zoo recently and had a great overall experience — the place is well-maintained, clean, and perfect for a family outing. However, a few things can be improved. Electric cycles are very limited, especially on weekends — late comers won’t get any, which is disappointing. Also, there is no online booking option for cycles, battery cars, or safari tickets, which causes unnecessary waiting. The safari experience itself can be better with more animals added to make it feel fuller and more exciting.

It's a great place to visit with your kids. We get to see different animals and birds. Green everywhere and you get to enjoy the fresh Air. They have a nice park where the kids get to enjoy the different types of slides and rope climbing.

Had the pleasure of visiting on Diwali, we received an insightful tour around the temple grounds outlining Hindu customs, beliefs and temple practices. This is a prominent Shiva temple and is decorated in hand carved wooden statues which ate repainted every 5 years. You can't help to reflect on blessings of the temple and the focus on the themes of masculine and feminine harmonies (which is explained in more detail during the tour). Please note non hindus can only walk the grounds and cannot enter the shrine The temple is also an active kitchen for the homeless and lower castes. When you arrive there is a shoe storage stand by the main door for a price of 100rpi. Guides will be lingering near the shoe storage stand and around the temple grounds. Highly recommend bringing enough cash to donate to the temple, people attending the kitchen and the guide. Please agree a price with the guide first to avoid being overcharged but there is a cash machine near by if you're running low.

Despite the busy city, inside the temple, you feel a deep sense of peace and divine energy. The rituals and the decorated deities create a moving, spiritual ambience.

Marina Beach ranks first among the worst beaches in India. At least it is a beach that is not only difficult to get to, but also to see. There are people on the road, traffic in the evening, women are not there to change their clothes, to go to the beach you have to walk 1km on the sand. It is best for those who go on a tour to Chennai to avoid seeing a 100% clean beach. If you want to see it, it is better to look somewhere a little further away between Marina Beach and the Lighthouse

On Saturdays and Sundays, there’s a lively mela that adds a festive vibe, but do keep in mind that during these days, finding parking for a four-wheeler can be quite challenging. I recently visited Sri Padmavati Ammavaari Temple at Tiruchanur, and it was a truly divine and memorable experience. The moment I entered the temple, I felt a peaceful and devotional atmosphere that gave me so much positivity. The darshan of Ammavaru was very special and gave me a sense of inner calm and blessings. The temple is very well maintained, and the entire premises are kept neat and clean. The queue arrangements are systematic, so even when there are many devotees, things move smoothly without confusion. The priests perform the poojas with great devotion, and the rituals are conducted in a traditional and disciplined way, which made the experience even more divine. I was also impressed with the temple’s surroundings and the beautiful gopuram and architecture, which reflect such rich culture and heritage. The prasadam was served fresh and was very tasty. Facilities like drinking water, rest areas, and prasadam counters were all available, making the visit very comfortable. The staff and volunteers were polite and helpful in guiding devotees, and I felt everything was well organized. The location is easy to reach from Tirupati, and parking was also convenient. Overall, my visit to Sri Padmavati Ammavaari Temple was peaceful, fulfilling, and filled with positive energy. It is a must-visit for anyone coming to Tirupati..

Visited the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple with family on a weekend 01.11.2025(Saturday) around 07:20 AM... We opted ticket for the INR 50 per person darshan. There was a short waiting time of about 20-30 minutes as the Aarti was in progress, but it was well managed. The darshan experience was smooth, with no crowd pushing or chaos, something that made the visit even more peaceful. Feeling truly blessed. 🙏 Only one disappointed. Proper Car parking is not available. Official temple parking should be allocated some space.🚗 Many parking lots collecting whatever they wish to charge. Anywhere in any street some person will come and give you Parking token. At the time of my visit in above mentioned date, a person in scooty token and charged rupees 70 for car.

The atmosphere was spiritual and calming, with proper arrangements for devotees. Even though it was slightly crowded, everything was managed smoothly by the staff and volunteers. Highly recommend visiting if you're in Tirupati – a must-visit temple full of positive energy and devotion.

I recently visited the ISKCON Temple in Tirupati and honestly, I left with mixed feelings leaning more towards disappointment. While the temple itself is beautiful in architecture and grandeur, the overall atmosphere felt more commercial than spiritual. From the moment you enter, you are constantly nudged towards donation counters, book stalls, and prasad shops rather than being allowed to quietly connect with the divine. The focus seems heavily tilted towards generating revenue, with too much emphasis on selling products and promoting programs. The peace and meditative environment I expected was often interrupted by announcements and sales-like approaches, which took away from the serenity of worship. Even darshan felt rushed, as though it was part of a transaction, not a soulful experience. The temple staff appeared more concerned with managing the flow of money and visitors rather than guiding them spiritually. Accommodation, transport, and prasadam counters are clearly marked and easy to access. The spiritual atmosphere, chanting, and overall arrangements make the visit very comfortable for devotees.

Visited Tirupati after many years with a lot of excitement, but the experience turned out very disappointing 👎👎 Even with reserved tickets, we had to wait more than 7 hours and got barely 5 seconds for darshan. It feels unfair for devotees who patiently wait for so long. A few issues we faced: • Plastic was everywhere despite “No Plastic” rules. • Dress code was not followed by many. • Food quality and hygiene were very poor - even simple canteens outside serve better. • Washrooms were untidy. • No proper guidance to reach allotted cottages. • Cottage/cleaning staff kept asking for money during checkout. The worst part was returning to our cottage after darshan and finding officials cutting trees and damaging the building area. The stairs became unsafe to use, and the staff showed no concern when we questioned it. Overall, what we hoped would be a memorable spiritual visit turned into a stressful experience. Truly disappointed, and I personally wouldn’t recommend visiting under such conditions.

Overall, while the temple’s spiritual energy is unmatched, the administrative side needs significant improvement to match the devotion people bring here.

We visited Sri Kalahasti Temple from Chennai, and it was a memorable experience. The temple is known for its historical and spiritual significance, especially famous for Rahu-Ketu poojas. It’s one of the most important Shiva temples in South India, with rich heritage and powerful spiritual energy. The drive from Chennai was smooth till Sullurpeta, with wide and well-maintained roads. After that, the road becomes narrow and supports two-way traffic, so a bit of caution is needed. That said, the route is scenic, clean, and visually refreshing — we truly enjoyed the journey. There’s paid parking available (₹60) near the temple. We were pleasantly surprised to find hot and tasty pongal served inside, which added to the overall comfort. The temple was very crowded as we visited on a Sunday. We opted for the ₹50 ticket, but still had to wait over 2 hours in the queue. Be prepared for long waiting times, especially during weekends or festival days. Mobile phones are strictly not allowed, and we had to store them in a locker facility (₹20 per phone) before entering the premises. Also, be aware of many random priests approaching for unofficial pujas and offerings outside and even inside the temple premises — kindly stay alert and follow the official counters only. Overall, a deeply spiritual experience — just plan ahead for the crowd and logistics!
