I visited this place on 5th October 2025. There was a big crowd, so I suggest not buying tickets online in advance — it’s better to get them directly at the spot. It’s a nice place to visit and enjoy the moment. However, the glass floor recently installed by the government was disappointing — the quality looks quite poor and needs improvement. Hope the authorities take note and make it better. Overall, a good experience at the Thiruvalluvar Statue, Kanyakumari — definitely worth visiting once! 🌊🌅

Glass bridge (negative too) Cons Online booking for the ferry is broken the payments get declined due to fraudulently notice. Shows Present TN Govt ethics.. For a 2 min ride in boat charging 100 for ferry is unrealistic. Rs. 300 special ferry charges is a scam and has notthing in it, you better avoid this and buy only if you are in a hurry and there is a long que. Be advised Que moves fast so no point in special ticket. The glass bridge idea as a whole is good, but no one to maintain it so there's no visibility below especially when there's slight rain. So if no maintenance is done by cleaning the surface then no point in building it. To a govt who had the mind to build a glass bridge between the two rocks could have also built another bridge connecting main land as its hardly 50mtrs. See Google Maps or My Pics. Kanyakumari is famous for beach and temple, at Nagercoil district in Tamilnadu.The temple is one of the 108 Shakthi Peethas and is dedicated to goddess Devi Kanyakumari. The temple has a history of over 3000 years. Other shrines inside the temple is Lord Surya Deva, Lord Ganesha, Lord Ayyappa, Goddess Bala Sundari and Goddess Vijaya Sundari.The story about the origin of this temple is that demon Banasura gained a blessing that he could be killed only by a virgin girl. To eliminate the threat of Banadura, Goddess Parasakthi took the form of Kumari, or a virgin girl. The goddess eventually defeated Banasura. Saint Narada and Lord Parasurama requested the goddess to exist on earth till the end of Kaliyuga, which she accepted. Hence Parasurama constructed this temple by the ocean and installed the idol of Devi Kanyakumari.

Mayapuri Wonder Wax Museum in Kanniyakumari boasts of lifelike wax sculptures that celebrate India's rich cultural history while paying homage to influential personalities. Located within the Baywatch amusement park . This charming museum promises excitement for every visitor. Children, in particular, will be captivated as they come face-to-face with their beloved stars. 1 hour is sufficient to rome around as area small. 3d painting concept is marvelous. Not watched 9d movie.

The VR experience was quite good. It costs ₹400 per adult, and it's free for children under 5. The 9D experience was especially immersive and left a strong impression on visitors. The wax museum was average, but the 3D art room was enjoyable the staff there was helpful and even assisted in taking photos. It was actually empty on a weekday afternoon but the staff are well organized

Peaceful and powerful temple. Got to know about this temple from friend. Very powerful temple as it is swayambhu and still the nagaraja swamy comes and shed his skin in temple and it is kept inside a box. Abhishekam was very satisfactory. You can see bay of bengal one side and the beautiful wind mills the other side on the way. Enjoy the journey and take blessings.

A very old temple for nagaraja. There is special puja on ayilyam and on Sundays. There is a place where one offers eggs to the snake God. There is idol of snake everywhere. There is sannadhi for shiva and ambal. On the outside is a separate place for durga balamurugan and krishna. On the outside is a small pond. Just opposite to that is a huge tree under which are idols of many snakes.

Visited on today evening. Very old and well maintained temple in Nagercoil..The name of the town itself generated from this temple and has a long legacy. Those who are suffering from diseases and other ailments offer their prayers at the temple and the legend is that it is considered healed. The temple opens in the early morning and also in the evening from 5pm on all days. Those planning a visit to Kanyakumari can enroute visit this temple to get blessings. It is told that live Snake kings are there inside the temple. Hence people offer eggs as their offerings.

Very powerful temple. Lots of local crowd as it was a public holiday. Free darshan was crowded. They had a Rs. 400 special queue which was reasonable. Darshan happened within 20 minutes. Speciality was milk payasam which was served to all devotees. Special darshan ticket holders were given the payasam in a steel container along with a coconut and bananas. It was a surprise though.

A single tier Rajagopuram and two Nagar images are at the entrance of Sri Nagaraja Sannidhi. A Nagaraja image is in the sanctum sanctorum. ANANDA KRISHNAR TEMPLE Ananda Krishnar temple is on the right side (South side) of the Nagaraja temple. Balipeedam and Dwajasthambam are before the entrance of second level Rajagopuram. The Rajagopuram is of 2 talas with stucco images of Ananda Krishnar with his consorts. Ananda Krishnar is in standing posture with abhaya hastam along with Sathyabama and Rukmani. Ananda Snake hood is above the head of Krishnar. Utsavars are in the ardha mandapam. SHIVA TEMPLE. This Shiva temple is on the north side of Sri Nagaraja temple. The Sanctum sanctorumis built in Kerala style with an open mukha mandapam. A Rishabam is in the mandapam. In the praharam Krishnar, Nagars, Bala Murugan and Durga. These sannidhis are on the north side of the Nagaraja Sannidhi. ARCHITECTURE The Nagaraja temple… consists of sanctum sanctorum, antarala, ardha mandapam and maha mandapam. There is no vimana over the sanctum sanctorum. A thatched roof is provided over the sanctum sanctorum. The Nagaraja temple maha mandapam pillars, sanctum sanctorum entrance top and koshta makara thorana has the bas relief of Hindu Deities like Murugan, Vinayagar, Amman and Jainism bas reliefs like Mahavir, Parsvanatha Tirthankara, Yakshi Dharmadevi, Padmavathi, etc. Ananda Krishnar temple… consists of sanctum sanctorum, antarala, ardha mandapam and maha mandaam. The sanctum sanctorum is on a kapota bandha adhistanam, consists of Padma jagathy, vrutha kumudam and kapotam. The bhitti starts with vedikai. The pilasters are of Vishnu kantha pilasters with kalasam, kudam, lotus petals mandi, plakai, and pushpa pothyal. The prastaram consists of valapi and kapotam. The vimanam is of eka tala vesara sigaram. The sigaram is covered with gold(brass with gold plated) plates. The mandapam pillars has the images of the Kings, and Pavai lamps on the opposite pillars. HISTORY AND INSCRIPTIONS This place Nagercoil is derived from this Nagaraja Temple. Based on the bas-reliefs, on the pillars, the original temple may be dedicated to Jainism and latter converted as a Hindu Temple. It is not known that, when the original temple constructed. Based on the iconography of the bas reliefs on the pillars, the temple may belongs to 09th to 12th century CE. There are 9 inscriptions found in this temple, which includes stone slabs installed in front of Nagaraja Temple. The earliest inscription belongs to Kollam era 697 (16th Century CE), mentions the King Bhutaalvira.

A beautiful Divya desam located about 50kms from tirunelveli, is a unique and beautiful temple spread over a large area. It has a unique oil tank here which they use for Abhisheka of main diety. U can purchase the oil bottles which is supposed to be curing ailments like joint pains. The temple priests are really wonderful.. Do visit this gem

This is one of the most important temples as it’s one among the divyadesams and also one among the swayam vyakta kshetras. The seven-acre palace near Thuckalay is surrounded by hills, rivers, and waterfalls, making it very scenic. Interestingly, even though the palace is in Tamil Nadu, it is owned by the Kerala Government. Locals say that outside the palace is Tamil Nadu, but stepping inside takes you into Kerala. The Kerala Government has hired young staff trained in archaeology, which helps tourists enjoy the visit more. Mostly made of wood, the palace has beautiful murals, carvings, relics, and black granite floors. Built over 400 years ago, it is the largest wooden palace in Asia.

We visited Padmanabhapuram Palace on a Saturday holiday and reached around 9 AM. It wasn’t very crowded, which made the visit more peaceful. The palace is truly an archaeological wonder — beautifully preserved and full of history. Definitely a must-visit at least once! It’s easily accessible from Trivandrum, and there’s plenty of space for car parking, so no worries there. However, there aren’t many good restaurants nearby, so it’s better to plan your food in advance. Overall, a great experience for history and architecture lovers

It’s a big palace and easily takes 2+ hrs to cover. However, it would be difficult for elders to climb the stairs in this palace. There are too many and are steep. Would be good if they instruct this while issuing the ticket. Paid restrooms are here for 5₹ per head but could be maintained better. We went on a Saturday and lot of schools are bringing children to this place as a day trip.

Supposedly Asia’s largest wooden palace from the Travencore era. The palace is situated in Tamil Nadu, but still owned and maintained by the archeological department of Kerala, even after the reorganization of Kanyakumari district from Kerala to Tamil Nadu. It’s is well preserved, painting of artworks and maintenance done as needed. The palace is sprawling and displays Kerala style architecture. Good to visit! Caution: foot wear isn’t allowed inside the palace, walking around barefoot in the hot sun may burn feet 👣 🙂. Good to visit during early hours of the day, as crowd starts to swell past 11 AM.

It's a unique tourist spot which allows you to walk the length of the water channel and have a mesmerizing view of the greens around. Long weekend traffic and people can get very high in numbers so plan accordingly. If you get down on the other side then the way back up has lots of steps so be mindful of that. There's a small pond below where you can get in and have bath or fun in the water but that too can get crowded. Lots of small shops selling tea/coffee and fruits are there. The humidity is unbearable so wear a wet bandana around your neck and extremely light t shirts or tops/bottoms.

Mathoor Aqueduct is a scenic and peaceful spot with breathtaking views of the river and surrounding landscape. Walking along the aqueduct is a unique experience, perfect for photography. We also bought some fresh pineapples nearby they were sweet and delicious! Basic facilities like toilets and seating areas could be improved, and parking is limited. Overall, a great place for nature lovers and a relaxing visit.

Constructed as a drought relief mechanism for water to flow from one hill to the another. Can walk through the entire stretch on the top of the aqueduct, has stunning view of hills on both sides and a deep view of a river flowing below. The probable best time to visit is early morning or after 4PM, around sunrise or sunset could have the best sky colors. Other times during the day could be exhausting; scorching heat 🥵 and pouring sweat 😓

This is one of the engineering wonders in Tamilnadu. But when we went there, it was under maintenance and were asked to get down, go around and then climb the bridge again to see the aqueduct. Would be difficult for elders to do it. And on the other side, it could be maintained better as there were lot of garbage around. Nevertheless, Beautiful place.

Mathur Aqueduct is one of the longest aqueduct in Asia and in TN. Once you walk and reach centre of duct, one can see vast expanse of greenery, with rolling hills of the Western Ghats in the background, along with meandering river flowing below. The view is ecstatic during sunset. Only issue is bit problem of connectivity....

One of the best waterfalls nearby Trivandrum. It’s clean and its way spreader, so more people can enjoy at the same time, lack of clean toilets is a disadvantage and also the ticket for packing is 50 for cars and entry is 20. Nice ambience and can be enjoyed with friends and families as well. Changing room are available nearby as well. Also some cloth shops at the entrance provide dress changing rooms, if we purchase something from them, that is also a good option too.

Visited this waterfalls recently during the rainy season, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The waterfall was in full flow, offering a breathtaking view of nature’s power and beauty. Due to the heavy water flow, we couldn’t swim or take a bath, but just watching the falls was refreshing and worth the trip. The surroundings, however, could be maintained better, the area was not very clean, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the overall experience was nice, peaceful, and perfect for a one day getaway. I have Visited Thriparappu Waterfalls recently — and honestly, it’s such a refreshing spot! The place is surrounded by greenery and the view is just beautiful. The waterfall isn’t too high, but the flow is strong enough to enjoy a nice shower under it. Great place to relax, click pictures, and just enjoy nature. There’s a small entry fee of 10 rupees and parking area nearby, plus a few local shops for snacks and tea. It can get crowded on weekends, so going early is a good idea. I will suggest you to visit around 8:30 AM to avoid crowd..Overall, a perfect short trip spot for families and friends This waterfall is just 50 km from Trivandrum International airport and railway station. Also it’s around 50 km from Kanyakumari.

Located just 40 km away from Coutralam Falls, this mesmerizing spot is far less crowded, making it a peaceful escape. Though the waterfall here is smaller in height, the force of the water is incredible—you literally can’t stand against it! It pushes you right off your spot, which makes it super fun, especially when you're with a group of friends. 🎉 Right next to the falls, you’ll find a dam, which is quite rare to witness together. I’ve never seen a dam and waterfall side by side like this—it’s truly a unique experience! They’ve thoughtfully provided separate dress changing rooms for ladies, ensuring privacy and safety. 👍 The same road also leads to Manjolai, which is a restricted forest area where entry is not allowed without special permission. This entire place is under the control of the Forest Department, and there are strict security checks. Carrying snacks, food, or drinks is not allowed—if you bring any, they’ll be taken at the check post and returned to you on the way back. 📅 Best time to visit: June to August, when the falls are at their best. A beautiful place which is not maintained properly. Park looks like graveyard. Government could have taken steps to maintain it properly. Proper checking has been done before entering the falls which was appreciable. If everything is maintained well,it will be one of the best tourist spot in Tirunelveli .

Agasthiyar falls are on the way from Papanasam temple to the dam area. One has to walk 500 m to get to the falls from the parking area. Most of the people going there take a bath in the falls. A separate bathing area and dress changing facility is provided for women. Overall a nice picnic spot. It was good but they allow only up to 5 pm. Overall it was nice place to spend some time. Water was clean and there is a special Siva temple which should be visited... the water falls was not a very big one. separate bathing area for gents and ladies.ladies crowd also large and ladies area also small. for gents it quite large and crows also less. the area not so neat.weekends will be crowded.water flow was good when we went on august.the road from papanasam checkpost will be narrow and hilly.probablity of trafiic jam during weekend is very high. we had 2 hours of jam. beware of monkey. only two small hotels are there near the falls. during break fast they serve poori and idly and lunch only tomotto rice and curd rice. dont miss kalyana theertham the path way is not neat. but the view point is good and temple above is very divine.

As you arrive, the dam greets you with two distinct views. On the lower side, you’ll find the shutters, a beautifully designed bridge, a children’s park, and other recreational spots. The upper side, in contrast, offers a serene atmosphere—remarkably calm even with over a hundred visitors present at the time. Nearby, there’s a Forest Department office, a cafeteria, and a crocodile park—though the latter could certainly benefit from better maintenance. One of the most exciting features is the variety of boat trips available within the dam, including a longer safari-style excursion. Overall, the experience is enjoyable and memorable. However, it’s hard to ignore the missed potential. The tourism department appears to be underperforming, especially given the vast opportunities available to develop the area into a major attraction. Right now, it feels like a beautiful title waiting for the poem to be written. A sincere request to the government: show the commitment and vision needed to transform this naturally gifted location into a world-class destination for travelers from around the globe.

Neyyar wildlife sanctuary has boating service along with elephant visits, deer visits, crocodile visits. Ticket fare is 100rs per adult. It's a very good view through the boat. The park has 2 elephants of one male and one female, lot of deers and you can see monkeys too. There will be guide who guides you and also convey all the information regarding park and animals. In the area where crocodiles are placed, has a python too. Each crocodiles are kept in separate cage. When you move forward you can go to the neyyar dam. A watch tower, dam, children's park, aquarium, swimming pool are provided. As all those near by, it will be a good spot.

Neyyar Dam is a great place to go to free our minds when we have free time in the Thiruvananthapuram district.If you go during the rainy season, all the shutters are open and it's fun to see the water coming through. This is a couple friendly place and can be a family friendly place too, but it takes a while. 1. Couple friendly 12 to 4 . This is a great place for couples to get their own freedom. 2. Family 9 to 12 and 4 to 6 It's a great time to come and enjoy with the family. There is also a swimming pool right there for an hourly fee. That's also a good experience. Nice place situated near to Neyyar dam. We visited after rainy season so that there was water in the reservoir. There is no lion safari now. It is closed and there are no lions now. Picturesque views. We could able to see parts of hills from agastyarkoodam, kurishumala etc. There were three packages available. We took package-1 which covers deer park,crocodile park,elephants (1 big and 1 young one) and boating for 1 hour at 2900/-. Guides were there inorder to provide the information all the time. Boating was so good with panoramic views. Only 2-3 crocodiles are there in the crocodile park. We have to walk through a small narrow forest path unordered to see the deer park which was nice. We heard from one of the employee that all the lions are dead so that they have to shut down the safari. Earlier at a point, there were 16 male lions and it was difficult to feed them. And there were no profit from the sanctuary also. So one doctor approved for the sterilization procedure which made them infertile. It was a sad story.

There’s a lovely clock tower inside — definitely visit it, because from the top you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the entire area. The dam is surrounded by forested hills and a vast reservoir that glows beautifully in the evening light. A walk through the nearby park or simply sitting by the water feels calming. The boat ride across the reservoir adds a touch of adventure, taking you to the Lion Safari Park and Crocodile Rehabilitation Centre. While these spots may not be high-end, they offer a raw and unique experience, especially for families or first-time visitors. Neyyar isn’t about grand sights or adrenaline; it’s about pausing, watching, and breathing. It’s best visited on a weekday for a quieter experience. There are limited food options, so carrying your own snacks and water is a good idea. If you’re looking for a simple, refreshing day surrounded by nature, Neyyar Dam is well worth a visit. During monsoon this place offers a completely different experience than that of the summer. Facilities are mostly minimal and the central view tower definitely needs some better management. Also thats the same situation of the parks, can be maintained well, with proper land management and maintenance. If you are someone who enjoys a view its a great place. There is also a KTDC restaurant right next to the dam. I hope they have accommodation facilities too as they had a decent menu. Prices seemed reasonable and can be subjective. There is also an aquarium that has a ton of fish species, and there are some giants too, giants in a sense as if they weigh over 50kgs. It has a seperate ticket counter. I believe it was the first fish aquarium in india or asia. The lighting and interior ambience during monsoon is very dull and moody, but i hope it will be better during the summer. The structure is also comparatively better considering a public building, its not great in terms of aesthetics but is definitely good in terms of flow, movement and exhibit placement. I liked that one. It also has some huge ponds outside the building close to its perimeter that has some large koi fishes. Overall a good place for a one day trip, and it’s always better to visit and leave early. Check with the authorities for official timings.

All the elephants are rescued animals. Visiting for the 2nd time and this time due to heavy rain during monsoon the pathway was blocked by fallen trees and electric lines hence could not view the elephant feeding and bathing and I was taken for a limited sighting of elephants. But the rain made the atmosphere and greenery looks even better. This place also has a couple of trekking options. Location is around 15 km from kattakada. Must visit when visiting Trivandrum.

I recently visited the Kottoor Elephant Rehabilitation Centre in Trivandrum, and it was a unique experience! The center is located in a beautiful forest area, providing a natural habitat for rescued elephants. We reached there by 4PM, we got a chance to see the feeding sessions. The surroundings are peaceful, making it a great spot for nature lovers. We were not able to touch or feed the elephants; we could only observe them from a small distance. The main Deity of the temple is Sri Mahaganapathy (Ganesha). The original Idol was maintained by The Nair Brigade initially at Padmanabhapuram and later when they were shifted to Thiruvananthapuram they installed the Idol and the current temple came into being. After the integration of the Travancore army with the Indian Forces, the temple is being maintained by the Indian Army. The main Vazhipadu (Offering) in the temple is the breaking of coconuts at the temple.

We visited at around 5-something in the morning, and I’m grateful we did. This is one of those places where you feel the sanctity the moment you step in. Dress code (very strict, please read): As a foreigner, be prepared to dress traditionally. For women, a sari is best; if not possible, wear a kurta/top with a dhoti wrap below (no stitched pants). For men, dhoti/mundu is required and upper body bare is customary inside the inner areas. Jeans or any pants are not allowed. If you arrive unprepared, you can buy a dhoti at the counter. Even the police/security were in traditional attire when we went—everyone follows the code here. Phones & bags: No phones or electronic devices are allowed inside. There’s a counter/clockroom to deposit them, with strict checks at entry, so travel light. Staff of forest department in the Sanctuary are really supportive and also they explained about nature and wildlife in the Sanctuary.Place is very clean and forest department is taking care very much to maintain the beauty of nature,forest and wildlife. Really wonderful experience . A great relief from the pressure life. Adventure is there, beauty of nature is there, rosemala parappar view is incredible. We can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the place.

It's a place blessed with natural beauty.. it's filled with lots of streams wild animals like elephants, lion tailed macaque etc.. we can see a lot of variety of flora and fauna.. If you love avenger off-road driving then you can choose this place it's really awesome.

Rose mala .... The place is soo eye catching and we can see an old village on the way to view point ... the ride through the rocks and mud is adventurous at the same time dangerous. Be aware of wild animals on the way especially elephants , bears, leopards and snakes on the way to view point. Love this place...

Best place for riders to visit. Also a best site seeing experience will get from here. The current road is suitable for off road vehicles only so if anyone planning for this point then plan accordingly. This point is also widely known as Rosemala.

Very nice experience. This eco-tourism project is under the direction of Forrest departments. If you want to go to the top of the dam, you can go to the Forest Department's cart. This trip is beautiful. 10 people are just five hundred rupees. The dam and the lake can be enjoyed close by. Great place to enjoy familys.

Shendurney WLS, visited for official purpose. Took a forest trek about 16km inside the forest. Accompanied with a watcher and a beat forest officer. A must watch sanctuary. Kalamkunnu,is a lovely spot for tourists.The parappar Reservoir is such a lovely spot both for family and couple.

Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, one of India’s oldest (est. 1857), is a beautiful, green, and well-maintained place located in the city center near the Napier Museum. It has a good variety of animals including tigers, lions, elephants, reptiles, and birds. The surroundings are shaded and peaceful, making it pleasant for families and children. Entry is affordable, and electric carts are available for visitors. However, some enclosures are small, a few animals seem inactive, and the food stalls or cart services can be slow on crowded days. The zoo can get very busy on weekends and holidays, and animals are less active in the afternoon heat. Overall: A clean, scenic, and affordable place worth visiting—best enjoyed in the morning or evening when it’s cooler and less crowded.

Went on a weekday. No so much crowded, but yes it's a tourist place so there'll be crowd especially on Sundays. The ticket price google mentioned (200/-) is dfor foreigners and the ticket price for Indians is only 40(for adults). I only support zoo when they can provide better facilities for animals that they can't get them on forest. But I'm not sure about here, because most of the animals are always lay down like they don't have enough health, especially the lion,tiger & cheetah(pythons too). It seems they can barely walk. On the other hand the bear,deer, and hippos seems pretty healthy. So I'm not sure, maybe it's the time I went there. The main problem is you can't clearly see most of the birds, I'm not sure till why they don't use glasses for clear visibility rather than the small grill, that you can barely see them. The white tiger was a suprise and he/she/they/them whatever was actually stunning. Most of the cages were empty (I'm actually glad for that). A 20 min walk through a"made up jungle" is actually good. The staffs always clean the place but be careful of the tree branch. The snakes non of them are even moving, I'm not sure if they alive or not for some reason. Anyway yeah as I mentioned earlier if you can provide better facilities for animals yes it's a good initiative. Unless it's cruelty.

Thiruvananthapuram Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in India and a lovely place to visit. The park is clean, green, and well-maintained, with spacious enclosures for animals. You can see lions, tigers, crocodiles, and many exotic birds. It’s a peaceful escape in the city and a great spot to spend a few hours enjoying nature and wildlife. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers who love animals and quiet walks. Entrance is 200 rupees. I went to this zoo hoping to see an elephant, but there wasn't one there.

The zoo was decent but had a limited variety of animals. The deer and porcupine enclosures were quite crowded, making it hard to get a good view. Some of the reptiles were not present. The layout could be better managed for visitor flow. Kids still enjoyed spotting the few animals around. Overall, an average experience that could improve with better space and crowd management. The entry fee for family is ₹100.

Zoo is good. Enjoy for picnic or one day fun. Must visit nearby locations like palace and museum, located within one KM. Restaurant and washroom and and Shop available inside the campus and nearby. Easily available auto for this place or for go to outside. Greenery is superb and all three locations are fantastic for photoshoot. You can also enjoy fish aquarium located in this area.

It's beauty can just define by words just go experience it . It's the most attractive and a must visit place in trivandrum. Beach is clean and eco Friendly. There are safety Guards, proper parking space is available and there is a security to help us ...... The parking fees is just ₹20 and there is no time limit for parking

Shangumugham Beach is a beautiful, serene escape from the city bustle! It's wide, clean, and has such a wonderfully calm atmosphere. The highlight is definitely the iconic Jalakanyaka (Mermaid) sculpture .it’s an incredible piece of art right by the shore! 🧜‍♀️ We stayed until the evening, and the sunset here is just magical, painting the sky in fiery colors over the Arabian Sea 🔥. It’s perfect for a long, quiet walk or just sitting and enjoying the sea breeze. A truly peaceful and picturesque spot in Trivandrum! 😌

One of the most memorable days of my life. Everything was so well coordinated. It was So heartwarming to see the amazing talents of the children there. The crews who magically perform in the stage, mind-blowing show by magicians!. The group we had this day was so fun to be along as well. A wonderful experience With family. A full day packed program. We went with children. The money we spent there is worth every penny. Children can learn a lot of things about another side of childhood where our differently abled children their entire childhood in colours instead of chaos. They grow, live, learn and earn with Magic Planet. I would recommend this place as a must visit place for everyone. Also keep in mind the shows are understandable for kids above 5 years only. The full day program includes a food and snack facility on the campus itself. Ample parking is available.

A heaven on earth! Truly touched seeing the blessed children filled with creativity and joy❤️.The place radiates God’s presence through its dedicated staff and teachers. Impressed by their punctuality, cleanliness, service, and the scrumptious food. The performances — especially by Ali Cherpulasserry, the mentalist, along with the theatre shows, circus acts, were simply mind-blowing! Hats off to Gopinath Muthukad Sir for this divine initiative. Everyone should visit this magical place — it’s a true blessing! 🙏

The location is approximately 20 km from the city. It's a 10 am to 6 pm program. Try to join by 10 am. The forenoon session mostly focuses on the performance of differently abled children. Stepping into Magic Planet was an experience that transcended mere entertainment. This is not just a theme park; it's a unique social experiment that is succeeding with grace and excellence. The park is a platform to empower and rehabilitate an often overlooked community—differently-abled children and street magicians. Seeing these incredible artists perform with such skill, confidence, and sheer joy is breathtaking. The work done here, training and providing a livelihood for these talented individuals, is a rare and beautiful initiative that sets Magic Planet apart from any other attraction. The park’s architecture and design are stunning, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. Every corner of the park is thoughtfully crafted to ignite the imagination. The magic and circus sessions are, without a doubt, scintillating. The illusions are world-class, the acrobatics are gravity-defying, and the performances are delivered with professionalism and passion, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The variety of shows, from close-up magic to grand illusions, ensures that there is something to captivate every family member. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly polite, sensible, and genuinely helpful. Their care and attention to detail, especially in managing a crowd with diverse needs, speak volumes about the place's ethos. This was my second visit to Magic Planet, and it was even better than the first. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they no longer charge for entry but instead accept donations. Honestly, I feel they should charge for such a fantastic package of entertainment. To show our support for their noble cause—empowering differently-abled children and street magicians—my family and I happily donated ₹1000 per person. The food options were simple and average: a Kerala style basic veg meal and chicken biryani. In a world full of commercial attractions, Magic Planet stands out as a beacon of hope and humanity. A full five stars and our highest recommendation!

Date December 31st 2024 Disappointing Experience at Thenmala Eco Adventure Park I had a very disappointing experience at Thenmala Eco Adventure Park, especially considering the ticket prices. Entry without activities:150 /head Entry with 5 activities: 480/ head Aside from the zip line, there were no activities worth trying. Of the 5 activities(out of 10) included in the adventure package priced at ₹480, only 5-6 were actually operational. The park suffers from poor maintenance, with many attractions either not working or in disrepair, which raises concerns about safety. The lack of functional activities makes the price feel unjustifiable, and the overall experience did not meet expectations. It’s a risk for injuries, and I would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made. No proper sign boards at all. If you are still interested in visiting the place please do enter before 4 pm since by 4 30- 4 45 the staff will close the activities by themselves 😅 and will go home. The sad thing is that it was very good a couple of years back , now due to poor maintainance it has become a worst experience

Nice place to explore nature. But the ticket charges were a little higherside considering the activities included in the entry ticket fee. There were absolutely no activities included in the adventure zone and the maintenance were.very poor. Authorities should consider proper maintenance and organizing activities in an efficient way.

This park feels like an example of how not to manage a visitor experience. First, instead of a simple ticket counter at the entrance, you have to buy tickets from a separate office located below, which most people aren’t aware of until they reach the main gate—only to be sent back down again. It’s an unnecessary inconvenience that could be easily avoided if the ticket center was placed at the entrance itself. Another downside is that almost every adventure activity requires an additional charge. By the time you add them all up, the total becomes quite expensive compared to what you expect initially. Overall, the park could be much better organized both in terms of accessibility and cost transparency.

A real let down honestly the first canopy walk started good but closed midway no idea it’s the really superb but no idea why they closed it Activities are there , the staff are nice and helpful really was looking forward to the adventure zone but felt a waste considering the ticket price they do really do with the improvements maybe lack of patronages But still it’s a nice to spend with family just taking in the fresh air and the greenery

Thenmala Adventure Zone is a nice place to be if it was maintained properly. Canopy walk is closed half way. Many of the other rides and facilities are either closed or partially functional. Pedal boating was a nice experience. Most of the rides have no maintenance. Thankfully the park is covered with huge trees giving a refreshing feeling. Restrooms are basic but cleanliness is good. With proper maintenance and planning this place could have been a awesome place. Staffs are generally pleasant and helpful. Weekdays would be less congested.

Sorry I didn't find any adventure activities there.. wastage of time...All the items not properly maintained.Hanging bridge one side blocked and not secure, walking bridge closed condition.only the location Kalamkunnu was nice rest others are waste of time and money.

The Adventure zone has lot of activities for the adults - like rope walk, River crossing, Rock climbing, mountain biking and likes. Since we had a mix of all ages, we preferred to slip this and move on to Children's park. This is a small park for kids to play and one can spend around 20 minutes here. Most of them are located within a km from the dam entrance. Adventure zone is 500m before the dam itself and rest of them 500m after the dam on the road to Kollam.

The place has a lot of monkeys. very few staff. There are a lot of sculptures most of which are dinosaurs. It's a small trek. You can see a lot of plants, flowers and bamboos. A nice view of the dam is offered. One side of the bridge is closed and has nothing to offer, which is disappointing. The condition of some structures are concerning. If you are for a small nature walk, this place is perfect. Else its not worth it.

Was a bit skeptical while buying ticket as if its a waste of time then our other plans wouldn't happen. But trust me its worth visiting. May take around 30m to walk and c the entire place. The hanging bridge is the highlight but even the sculptures, forest like ambiance and i was able to spot a mountain squirrel and forest hen as well.

Leisure zone is a wonderful park next to the dam it’s a nice long walking trail On the trail you can see plenty of sculptures and art installations its showcases about Kerala its rich culture and heritage Overall a nice place to spend the day walking and taking pictures

A nice natural garden. The forest department failed to maintain it well. If light and sound are maintained for the sculpture garden, it would have been a major tourist attraction during night. The sculptures and the concept are great.

Nothing much. We can walk through a garden like small forest. On the way we can see so many sculptures on the sides. But they all badly maintained. Some of them are interesting. This path will end in front of the thenamala dam. There are some arrangements for sitting and resting. Its a good ambience. Then the path will turn to entrance and its beneath the river so we can walk nearer to the river. There is a garden on that side. Before the end therr is a suspension bridge across the river but we can't go to the end of the bridge because its halfly closed. But suspension bridge gives an adventure experience. Its part of thenamala ecotourism. Ticket for one person is 70 rupees and the tickets only available at thenmala ecotourism office.
