We went to the shopping center to avoid the heat and it was a great plan - but unfortunately when we got back to the car after 2 hours our car window was broken and some items were stolen. We were parked over 100mt from the main entrance and it seems to be a bit too far away so no one is watching.

Has most of the shops you might need. But DO NOT come here on Sunday. one of the only retail.places open on Sunday and it feels like literally whole Florence is there. Finding parking is not possible and store is packed. We went back on monday and then it was much more reasonable. still a lot of people but overall same as any other large shopping mall would.

Wow, what a wonderfully unique and electic castle. Fabulous design and wonderful trompe l'oeil. Definitely a dream brought to life. You have to join a tour - you cannot just wandering through the castle at your own pace, because it's a bit of a maze. However, we were given plenty of opportunity to photograph the rooms and views (stunning!) Our tour was in Italian, but our fabulous guide Alexandra translated key points for us, and there are information boards/signs in every room, explaining key points. Highly recommended!

It’s an interesting tour, especially if Alessandra is your guide! She makes the whole visit a great experience. Keep in mind you need to book in advance, and it is open only during the weekends (at least for now).

Found it while browsing places to visit in the area. We arrived there without reservation, but the lady at the ticket shop squeezed us into a tour with only 15min waiting time - thanks for that! The castle itself is very picturesc, with sometimes unbelievable amounts of details to discover. We enjoyed the stay a lot!

We love the medieval "village" at the heart of the uniquely beautiful city of San Gimignano. The city is well preserved, and it feels like it's frozen in time. One can imagine how these folks with their horses going about their business during those days. The atmosphere in the morning is peaceful and if you enjoy your running, this city has many interesting elevation to add to your training. The cobblestone is another challenge that keeps you vigilant and to train your foot placement. Expect loads of visitors as the day approach to lunch and dinner. Food and drinks (wine & beer) are tops, as the Italians are proud of their traditional culinary and wine culture.

The Piazza della Cisterna is one of the most beautiful and famous squares in San Gimignano, a medieval town .since the 1990s the square — and San Gimignano as a whole — has become quite touristy. During the main travel season, it can feel crowded, with many souvenir shops and large tour groups. Still, early mornings or late evenings often bring back the magic of its medieval charm.

This was actually my favorite piazza in San Gimignano. It's the one with the old cistern, or well. There's always a bunch of people sitting on it as they do on the steps in other public squares. What's unusual is that this square is really in the shape of a triangle. You'll also see the Devil's Tower near the cistern. It has been said that the owner returned to find his tower taller than it was when he left it. Lol! That's kind of spooky. What I loved most about this medieval piazza is the famous gelato shop. It was a historical and tasty experience.

Piazza della Cisterna is one of them, here we had a drink and were lucky to be here the day of the market, so bought a few things too. The most beautiful piazza in San Gimignano that gets very crowded during the day, but turns into a fairy tale after sunset (if you have accomodation inside the old city, you can enjoy such beauty). It is filled with history, dark stories, but is also nicely kept. And if you want to try "la dolce vita", just buy some Riserva wine in a restaurant nearby, sit and enjoy the view, the changing lights, the music (in summer, there are concerts nearby) and the wine.

We stopped by after lunch on our Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano tour that we bought in Florence. Thanks to its historical atmosphere, one feels like they are on a movie set. It is quite enjoyable to have a few drinks in the afternoon in many nice pubs with a view. There are also very good ice cream shops around for children.

We didn't really see much of the area. We stayed overnight at a hotel inside the walls and ate at Caffetteria Gelateria dell'Olmo. The restaurant was not good. Our hotel, Hotel Leon Bianco, was very nice and had a wonderful breakfast. We had a heck of a time navigating the streets.

It was a fun, relaxing ride, you have plenty of information available on the spot regarding its history an elevation angles. And the view from Montecatini Alto is magnificent. The funicular program makes it hard to miss the experience (it is open until 24.00).

The journey is gentle and slow enough to be able to enjoy the view. Staff were friendly and a return ticket is €7. We enjoyed our visit to Montecatini Alto, there are several small shops and a central square with restaurants, a bar, and Gelato shop. lots of outdoor seating and shade in a medieval village.

If you're in Montecatini then you should visit Montecatini Alto using the Furnicular! This is the mountain Railcar that takes you up to the small town with big views! Trains run every 30mins all day and night (not overnight) and tickets cost €7.50

The cost for a round-trip/return ticket is €7.50, and the cars run on the hour and half-hour until midnight (see the attached schedule). One of the nicest museums related to motorbikes I have ever been to. So much to see, friendly staff, fantastic texts to read, the collection is just amazing, great light for photos etc. One can truly see that Vespa owners know what they are doing and the success of the brand is no wonder. If you are a scooter or motorbike enthusiast this is the place for you! So much to see, so much info and such knowledgeable staff. It was amazing to see how Piaggo/Vespa developed. To see how the scooter has changed over the years, to see rare things. They also have a motorbike collection too with bikes ridden by greats such as Rossi. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Free entry but please give a reasonable donation to keep such a wonderful museum going.

The most impressive free museum I have ever visited. It offers a rich and broad representation of the company's history and exposes visitors to the people behind the scenes of Vespa's success. Beyond that, I also learned a lot of new things, such as the subsidiaries I had no idea existed and the impressive record of competition victories. Very unique place of the walled city of Lucca. Its almost whole round walkable on the top of the walls or street inside the walls. Plenty of trees, walkways are suitable for jogging and fitness exercises and walking of the locals. very calm green place. From the walls you can see the old city and also outside, small water channels under the wall. All around are about 11 bastions and couple of gates to the city. The wall is 4 km long and is among the best preserved Renaissance fortifications in Europe, and the second largest intact example of a fully walled Renaissance city after Nicosia on Cyprus.

A short walk...even with your roller bag...from the train station to the walls of Lucca. I always get a smile when the gate comes into view. The walled city of Lucca still holds plenty of lore with its many restaurants and merchants. This trip we stayed at the Grand Universe right in the center of Lucca so we could be immersed in the city culture and people.

We used the ramp at Porta di San Pietro to take a one-hour stroll anticlockwise along the wall. The views of the old city on one side and of the Lucca hills and Apuan Alps on the other are charming and inspiring. Due to lack of time we were not able to walk the entire length (4.4 km) of the wall, but the segment we did, was organized as a usual public park. The park would benefit of informative panels that could provide visitors with historical context and details on the surrounding area.

My favourite part of our visit to Lucca was the Mura di Lucca. An absolutely brilliant use of the city wall by having a multipurpose recreational trail on top of the wall! Paved for walking and wheeling, the many ramps give ready access for users. The bulwarks of the wall have parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Several museums and the Botanical gardens are accessed from the trail. The Mura also has several gates as well as pedestrian tunnels. Stunning views of the hills surrounding Lucca. Worth a saunter!

Before I went to visit, I thought it would be overrated, old and uninteresting, but when I got there, I was completely wowed! The tower and surrounding buildings have been maintained in such a pristine way that they look like they were built last week. For a building that is over 850 years old, it sure has aged well. Iconic- such an amazing view. I loved this place but so crowded. I would recommend visiting the museum next to the tower of Pisa to get an amazing view with minimal people spoiling your photos. Also there is a restaurant in this museum and you get a stunning view. Recommend climbing the tower of Pisa that was amazing make sure you are willing to climb as can be tiring. Trainers recommended for the climb.

Had a lovely time here. The tower itself has a beautiful view when you're at the top. The steps are slippery tho so be careful aspecially when walking back down. The cathedral is gorgeous also on the inside. We bought tickets that included entree to all buildings and museums and also walked the walls of pisa all the way (which was quite long). Definitely recommend visiting and also going inside.

The building was amazing but everything else lacked in excitement. There was only one fountain open to obtain water to drink. Nothing else was open. I was under tge influence that there was access to the hot springs for wading but that wasn't the case. I did catch a local orchestra practicing. Honestly, that was the highlight of that visit

By far the best experience in Livorno and there were many. This bar is situated next to The Grand Hotel on the sea front. Never the same experience with musicians and artist all visiting to set the vibe with the owners many available musical instruments being loaned to all. Visited the aquarium — honestly, a complete waste of time and money. Tickets cost €15, and for that price, you’d expect at least something engaging. But the place is boring, and has very few animals. The only interesting part was taking a photo — and that says a lot. From what was actually interesting: a few fish, two big turtles, and three small sharks. That’s it. If you just want to look at water, some gloves, and a few random fish, you don’t need to pay €15 — all of that is available for free in the sea right next door.

We had lots of fun here. We have been twice now and loved it both times. First time we went was middle of the week and found it wasn't too busy we could get a sunbed and lockbox very easily with plenty of spare beds around us. The second time we went was very busy and couldn't get a sunbed even with getting to the park within 30 minutes of it opening but we still had the best time. Found a lockbox free in the sun. So we could still have a picnic in the sun and sunbath in between rides! Very clean and friendly staff all around. I would recommend you book a sunbed online before hand if you are wanting one!!

If you are planning to walk this trail, please bring a bag of cat food, maybe some wet cans (not tin, they can cut their tongue on those), water… whatever you can. If I had known this going into the hike, I would’ve brought it. I’m not sure what the deal is with any caretakers for the cats but it would be nice to have a sign or something prior to starting the trail to let people know there are cats along the way, so people can purchase food before going up…. Lots of people were very upset to see the cats there with no food and there’s nothing to do about it at that point… it is mid-trail and nothing around. Otherwise, it is very uphill so be very prepared - but the sights are well worth it!

Pro tip: apparently you need a Cinque Terre pass to enter but everyone was passing through just to check the views and then come back. This is where you'll take the best photo of Vernazza. The start is just on the side of a restaurant, to the left you'll see a narrow street.

Very beautiful hike. WARNING for anyone that wants to do this hike but isn’t a seasoned hiker: start from Vernazza and go towards Monterosso!! I started from Monterosso and it was a LOT of steep stairs & uphill. I read a review from someone on here who talked about having to climb up on all fours… while I didn’t get to that level I DEFINITELY was feeling that review to my core 😂😭 If I were to do it again, I would start from Vernazza. It’s doable both ways, but know that it will be more difficult if you start from Monterosso. The views will be beautiful & the same whichever town you start from. I had to take a lot of breaks, but many people (both old & young) did the same so I didn’t feel too left out. I recommend you do the hike early in the morning or towards late afternoon, that way you can have a little bit of a breeze and it’s not constantly hot. For reference, we did the hike with a lot of breezes and I STILL had my shirt drenched with sweat. If it is rainy, be careful!! Wear appropriate shoes for that. We did it while it was sunny & dry but there were many areas that were slip-potential. Also, you can access the viewpoint of the Vernazza background for picture-taking WITHOUT having to hike. I have included a picture so you know which viewpoint I’m talking about.

I love visiting aquariums. My favorite places among the aquariums I've visited so far are L’Oceanogràfic Valencia, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Moskvarium. This aquarium Genoa is quite small but it's easy to visit location for tourists and jellyfish tanks were lovely. I visited there during the winter off-season and there was no line so I am not sure if it was necessary to buy the on-line entrance ticket in advance.

Upon my visit there was 2 people I encountered who seemed to be a little pushy to get people to take pictures with their Doves in exchange for money.

Colline du Chateau, also known as Castle Hill is a wonderful walk with stunning views of Nice. The waterfall was spectacular. We were also surprised to find a couple of places at the top of the hill where you could purchase refreshments. No tickets required, the walk is free, unless of course you wish to skip the exercise and catch the little visitor train.

Very disappointed with the way the carnival was conducted. The place itself was ok but man is there 0 information about what happens on opening night. They say its free for entry and then when you queue up suddenly everyone has tickets. They block the whole view from the sides for the carnival and hold it in a super exclusive staged area. We travelled all the way from UK for this for nothing. If people say we should have bought tickets in advance, its clearly mentioned on the website that its free on opening day and doesn't mention about any tickets!

Lovely area with live music regularly. We found many shops and restaurants in the area. We didn't have a chance to see if uber was well represented here because our hotel was close enough to the water as close enough to Nice Massena that we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Old city is very near. So is the castle hill. Both places I would highly recommend. The beech of course, too! We found it quite easy to communicate as English speakers. We were only in Nice 2.5 days but would happily return to this area!

If you're in the French Riviera, you clearly have to come to Nice and to visit this place. It's always full of people, a lot of places where you can seat. Thanks to the metro it's pretty easy to go there. Also most of the time there are artists which perform music.

The place was simply beautiful. There are lots and lots of services like restaurants, bars opened till night, markets, clothing markets and souvenir markets. The bus servise works also very good all around the city. You can visit a lot of places in the city like Massena square, Garibaldi Square, the old city centre, the castle, the English promenade. There are many things to do and to visit. You must Go there!!!!

One of the nicest parts of Nice I visited (pun intended). I was there during the Fifa women's world cup and Rngland was playing, all the expats were out in force. It was enjoyable.

City centre good for hangout It is well connected by tram, busses and even Nice central train station. This is large square with lots of activities and entertainment. Many shops and restaurants are located alongside this square. Sea beach is on walkable distance.

Lovely place for kids chill out in hot days. Two down point though: locals take dogs for a ride in the middle of kids playing and some others smoking closing by where there are kids around.
