We visited the outlet during the Venice Carnival and thought it would be very crowded due to the huge influx of tourists, but we were wrong. It was calm, and we could enjoy the walk. There is a great variety of stores. In some of them, the prices didn’t seem significantly lower than in regular shops, but in others, there was definitely a noticeable difference. Honestly, we expected lower prices and more deals.

A lot of stores and a wide range of brands, ranging from sweets, travelling equipment, household equipment to off course clothing. The area has a lot of cafes and dining places. A nice place to walk around and do shine shopping. They also have some 50kW charging stations in the parking area - easy to find navigating by the signs.

This is maybe the most beautiful outlet village I have ever visited, and I have visited a lot of them. Only 30 min from Venice, you should add this as a stopover to your trip and spend a day here. It has a huge parking (few of them), and it is extremely clean. You can easily find almost every Italian luxury brand here, but the awesome deals are not so easy to find, you have to dig deeper. Sometimes there are several really good shopping deals, sometimes less, but it is a pretty small chance that you will leave it empty handed. It is worth a visit. But set aside at least 4/5 hours considering its size.

One of the largest outlets in Europe. Nicely organized and you need a few hours to visit everything. As for the offer, it concerns various brands, including Italian ones. Prices in which shop, sometimes it pays off, somewhere it doesn't. The restaurants within the outlet are commendable in terms of what they offer (of course, you won't eat like in authentic Italian restaurants anywhere here, and you shouldn't expect that. The parking lot is very spacious and even when it's crowded, you can find a place relatively easily and quickly.

I like it - you can get all fashion brands on one place. Mostly, you need some luck as well, you will find also many good prices/discounts! I like such shopping centre as your family can go buying necessary, you can wait on the fresh air and simply enjoy

Outstanding outlet! Compared with other outlets this one is by far the most beautiful! Whole mall is clean. Entourage is great. Almost all the nice brands are in the mall. Discounts are real. Lots of food and drink places. Enough toilet facilities. And parking space more than enough! If you’re early you can park nearby, otherwise you will have to walk a couple minutes.

I was surprise that i could chilled there and slept for about 2h on the "liegenstuhl with sonnenschrim" without getting charged for the place.. It was so relaxing with the sound of the wave, summer Breeze & giggles from the kids who were playing there n having fun.it has beach sevice guys to control everything there or if u need help. The beach is nice, clean, and even have closet room and shower. But the toilet was dirty and one of the cleaning service was so rude.

Soooo beautiful and long beach with nice sand, warm water. Price 24 euros for an umbrella and 3 chairs, in July 2025.

Water quality is good anway its not for snorchling, due to sand visibility in water is low. Beach is clean and fully equipped with important facilities like bar, toilet, place for rest, showers. Like that is forbiden to smoke on beach, anyway you have option to smoke in dedicated places. Issue for me was that this beach is duting season very overcrowded with milions of people, anway in water is enough placem acces to wate is very good for kids, slowly invreasing depth of water. Safety included from beach staff.Lot of guys is selling stuf on beach and yes is warmy here during the season 🙂

I just passing Bibione and want to get fast swim, well the water is dirty because of sand that is obvious, so no snorchling. The prices for sun beds are crazy 😀. I guess is good place for family with the Kids.

This zoo is a great place to spend the day and offers a wide variety of animals to see, including capybaras, giraffes, tigers, pumas, and lions. The enclosures are nicely designed, and it’s clear that the animals are well cared for. The layout is easy to follow, so walking around is simple and enjoyable. One of the nice touches is the small bar where you can grab a cold drink or a snack like a sandwich perfect if you need a break. You can also bring your own food and enjoy it at one of the picnic tables, which is really convenient. Overall, it’s a fun and relaxing place to visit, whether you're going with friends, family, or just looking to enjoy a few hours surrounded by animals and nature. Highly recommended if you're looking for a well-kept zoo with a good atmosphere.

Very clean, beautiful zoo. We were in the park for 5 hours. The only downside is no free water fountains (or at least not that we're aware), we paid 80 cent for a liter at a refill station. Other than that animals were out and about and we saw 90% of them very clearly, even the famous snow leopard.

Small but nice zoo with quite many spieces on small territory. Some animals were hidden. Clean toilets, many opportunities to have a rest a many places for children. Nice time to spend when weather doesnt allow visiting the beach.

Well organised park,easy to get around,clean. It's accessible also for strollers and for people in wheelchair. It was thought through. Lots of trees that offer shade and 2 pretty big playgrounds for kids. Animals are well taken care of. The bathrooms are all clean, changing table for babies is also available. The parking is free 100m from the entrance. We enjoyed our day,it was during the week so we were almost alone. The only negative thing is the entrance fee. I believe it really is too expensive. We will come back because it's a great experience and well spent day..

One of the nicest Zoo I ever visited. Animals looked well taken care of and whole Zoo seems well maintained. There are also 2 nice playgrounds for kids. Would recommend for all families.

Nothing special, no big cats to see, we managed to see a tiger briefly, cleanliness for a 10, I recommend it for children from 3 to 6.7 years old, older ones will be bored

A beautiful square in Piran, with plenty of cafes, restaurants and cute shops around the square. A very large area where children can play safely with a view of the harbor and the sea and the surrounding historical buildings of the old town of Piran. The true spirit of a coastal town!

Lovely square with plenty of free parking for motorbikes. The harbour was also very beautiful, sadly in motorbike clothing and 40 degree heat, we didn't stay long but would love to revisit one-day.

Tartini's square in the City of Piran, Slovenia, is a beautiful example of Mediterranean city urban planning that nailed it. People of all ages enjoy spending time there. It is vibrant all day long. Great views - to the marina, the sea, surrounding buildings, monument of Tartini, shops, caffees and restaurants, a lot of benches to just sit and relax while you get amused just by looking at people of all ages doing their thing. It is a real jam for photographers and a great place to make a tone of different selfies.

I had the baklava ice cream and hands down it was the best ice cream I've ever tasted - my partner agreed and he is an ice cream fanatic! Highly recommend, amazing ice cream and lovely friendly service too.

A cradle of our faith for my country. From here the misionary work went out to the east. Glorious holly place, with a lot of history, beautiful mosaics and old architecture. Cript is amazing with lot of relics.

One of the most important church seats in this part of Italy, also for Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. Basilica is build on the 1. century Roman mosaics, that were covered in 4. century by other level of mosaics. On top of those two layers of mosaics the present church was built. The Bell tower dated from 11. century. The three naval church has leather patriarchal seat. The crypt is full of frescos from life of Jesus and the life of saint Hermagoras and saint Fortunatus. You can admire early and fine early Christian mosaics. I liked the most the one with a turtle and the big one that represents sea with boats and sailers.

The Basilica of Aquileia is a treasure that everyone should visit. The mosaic floor is absolutely stunning, and the space around the Basilica is pleasant and relaxing. The frescoed crypt is also fantastic! Absolutely recommended when passing through the FVG region!

The Basilica is a beautiful piece of architecture. Majestic with a magnificent mosaic floor and ornate wooden roof. Also fantastic is the visit to the archaeological dig area below the Basilica where it is possible to see the early roman mosaic dating back to the first century a.d. The area surrounding the Basilica is also very interesting and kept in order.

One of the most beautiful churches ever!

Italy is a country of historical beauties and this Cattedrale is undoubtedly one of them. As soon as one enters the building is immediately overwhelmed by history: the view of the soffit and of the floors, covered by mosaics, is truly breathtaking. When admiring this church you can “touch” the architectural, engineering and artistic ability of our ancestors: these treasures have withstood over a millennium (even more, when considering the original layers dating from B.C.). The building basement is a surprise of mosaics and there it’s really astonishing how, through small tiles, those artists were able to depict amazing subjects, such as animals, faces and various objects. Just a small suggestion: the descriptions of the mosaics made on the handrails, has it is done, is not a very clever solutions, since most of the writings have gone.

Beautiful palace hidden in local area. Visit after lunch in San Daniele for world famous prosciutto. Restore nicely and taking very good care of. Beautiful ceilings and wood doors. The only down side is almost everything in Italian although I tried with audio scripts in English there is much less information than my husband gets in Italian and also some of them are no description as well even in Italian. I was very curious to an object in church, which contain looks like born or something. My husband is from local and he said he never see inside when he was small. So hope to get more attention from people and they can keep it for future. All the staff are very nice and helpful.

My second visit since 2022, glorious as ever. The festival covers a wide range of stalls with great artisan products and incredible collection of plants. We bought a camelia that blossoms through the winter which is unbelievable almost and a fancy variety of cosmos. Can’t wait to plant them already!

A gem worth visiting when in FVG. Villa is “empty” of any original furniture, but hosta many exhibitions. It is free to visit the outside premises and the park behind the villa, where you can find serenity.

I already been here for two concerts. It is amazing, very intimate vibe. Entering a concert here is as easy as it gets. Before you know it, you are already in front of the stage. Be aware, parking can be a bit chaotic, so if you are not from around, I recommend you paying for parking (15 eur approx). I recommend booking parking 5, as getting to it is a lot less chaotic than 3 and 4. Still be there on time, you never know. From any parking, you will have a good 15/20 mins walk to the venue, so allow yourself time. From parking 5, the walk is very nice. Locals place small bier gardens on their gardens so you can have a stop before or after the concert You walk in slowly into the villa and right before you know it, you are there with you fav artist. Enjoy it

Beautiful villa, and garden behind it. Very easy to find, good parking. Nice visitors center and shop. No dogs allowed in the garden area, but allowed in front of the villa in the open area. Lots of beautiful flowers and statues. Very peaceful area.

At the concerts those that just parked in the field were better off than those of us that paid for the parking. If you want own water, you better have a backpack with bladder. Otherwise beer is not expensive.

A must see if you visit Gorizia. It was very damaged during the war but they made amazing job. Inside is very good museum, I recomend you get a tablet at the ticket office for virtual guidance. The mideval kitchen is very well preserved. Unfortunatelly the second floor is under reconstruction so we left it for next time.

Wonderful castle dating back to the 12th century. The history of the castle is very interesting, as it changed hands numerous times during the ages, with each owner leaving their own mark. Visited during a rainy day which only added to the atmosphere of the place. There are numerous interesting exhibits, including weapons and musical instruments. The great hall hosts a multimedia presentation on the history of the castle and the surrounding lands. The price of a ticket was 10€ per adult, with tickets for children and senior citizens costing less. The price of admission was well worth it, as the ticket office will also provide tablets on request which will enhance the experience with interesting tidbits of information. This is a must see!

Views are fantastic. We weren't able to go in but the small village adjacent has a church and museum that are very nice to see from the outside. There a several spots you can walk around to see the cityscape. Loved it even without entry.

Good and much needed renovations make it worth the visit. The audioguide wasn't working very well but is included in the price (maybe we got a defected one). Overall very well done and exhaustive.

Nice to spend 1 to 2 hours. Audio info at some spots is available in Italian, Slovenian, German and English.

It is really nice castle, and there is modern audiovisual experiences to move you in the past. So it is definitely worth to visit while in this city. Part of castle is under restoration, so observation deck isn’t available right now. Ticket is 10€🥲

Beautiful view of the surrounding hills and mountains. Possibility of refreshments at several providers around the church and the path from the gondola to the very top of Višarij. In the small street there are also a few shops with various souvenirs. There is also a church on the hill, which says that this is the only landmark or place where nations unite and do not separate. They are right!

An amazing place for weekend skiing. Less than two hours from the airport in Ljubljana. You can leave your car at the foot of the mountain at the free parking in Camporosso In Valcanale, where you can also rent a ski equipment. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet place, it is worth staying in one of the three small hotels on the top of mountain. During winter a gondola lift is closed at 16:00. From this time only a small group of hotel guests and service stay on the top. Silence, peace, amazing views. Priceles

The heaven on earth. There are cafes above the mountain where we can eat while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains. The cable car service makes it easier to reach the top of the mountain. One of the best place for skiing.

Absolutely stunning and beautifull. I went there in the summer and now in the winter and I cant decide what is more beautifull. Its perfect for skiing, walking , enjoying beautifull view and good food. I recommend to everyone to go there in summer and in winter. There is cable car in Camporosso that will take you up. Sill under the impression of that beautiful place.

The hotel has an excellent location right next to the Millennium Express cable car, perfect for hiking and mountain activities. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and offered a good variety of fresh dishes. However, the hotel feels more like a hostel than a 4-star property — cheap partitions, creaky doors, and an inconvenient bathroom layout with the toilet separate from the sink. Staff were mixed: some were very kind and helpful, while others were uninterested or even pushy, insisting on drinks when we declined. The surroundings are disappointing — the access road and parking are unpaved, with no benches outside. Tropolach offers almost no evening entertainment beyond the hotel bar. The worst part was the chaos in the pool and lobby areas. Although we didn’t book an adults-only hotel, children were screaming and playing noisily, especially in the pool, without any supervision to maintain order. Such disorder is unacceptable for a hotel with a not-so-cheap price tag. Overall, great location and food, but the hotel needs better maintenance and management to meet 4-star standards.

Simply the very best, right next to the cable cars and bike/ski rental! Pool and spa area are amazing, food was impeccable and the reception staff were all unbelievably helpful! I could not recommend this hotel enough to everyone!

Having been twice here during this year I can surely say that staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience. It is family friendly, super clean and the food is delicious. There are different hotel related activities you can do so we had a lot of fun. Compliments to Dario at the front desk for being informative and catering to our every need. Also to housekeeping for keeping everything neat and clean. A satisfied guest who will definitely come back again.

We spent a week here in August as a family of 4. We loved our stay. The hotel has all the comforts, it's clean and the food is very good. We enjoyed the pool, the activities and our kids loved the amazing Karolina and Mathias at the baby club. The position is incredible, right in front of the Millenium Express and close to lakes and bike trails. The rooms are a little small. We stayed in a suite and felt a little cramped. I think a hotel in this category must provide a fridge, particularly in the summer months and in my opinion having the guests pay for purified water at dinner is a bit of a faux pas considering the price. The breakfast and dinner buffets are delicious. The food was fresh and well prepared, in particular the "antipasti" from Giusy. The service provided was very good. We appreciated our server Gabriel. The hotel provided a cake for our daughter's birthday with just a day of notice and it was delicious and it made her happy.

Room was a bit small, a 1,60m bed with aapproximately meter by meter shower,cabinet, small desk with free of charge tea/coffee bags and still and sparkling water. .... small but super great because there is a pre-room to put your shoes, laguage, jackets, skies and there is a ski boot dryer. There is almost a million variations of food for breakfast, and the dinners were great too. Location is top when skiing, because there is gondola like 200m away from the hotel.

Just back from a week in the Arena Franz Ferdinand, what a fantastic hotel! I paid for the slightly larger room which was very comfortable. I loved the storage area at the front of the room. I used it to keep my rucksack, boots and climbing gear away from the main living area. The boot dryer was VERY welcome after a day of torrential rain. The room is a slightly strange set up. From the corridor, you can see through in to the storage area which is also where the toilet is situated. Bare that in mind when you need to go! Also the shower cubicle opens straight out in the bedroom/living area. Fine if you're on your own but if you're travelling with another person, make sure you know them well enough :-) The rooms are very cosy and comfortable, towels were big and fluffy as was the robe. Great to have a kettle in the room and a very good selection of tea, coffee, decaf and herbal tea which, along with a jug of water, was replenished daily. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room too. I stayed half board. Breakfast was amongst the best I've seen in a hotel. Wide range of coffee (complete with syrups, various cups/mugs, hot and cold milk) cheese & hams, cereal, bead, sausage, omelettes made to order. The juicing machine was an interesting addition too. I had a very early checkout but I had a breakfast of sandwiches and fruits ready for me at reception. Evening meals were listed in the morning news (available at breakfast) They offered a good choice and were always tasty and filling. The plates there are huge! It's a buffet, just help yourself to as much as you like. The waiters take your drink order. There's a good choice and prices are fair. You can then either pay on the night by cash or card or charge everything to your room. Staff are lovely. Attentive, quick and friendly. Some can't speak English too well and I've only a basic level of German, but that was never an issue. And the climbing wall! Wow!! Loved it!! Wish all hotels had one :-) Finally, the +Card is so useful. I used it several times for free access to the cable car and chairlifts. You are given it at check in and it gives free access to transport and various attractions. It makes for a very cheap holiday. So, in summary, a great hotel in a beautiful location!

Two very beautiful lakes with a lot of hiking opportunities. The trails going around the lakes to required sure footedness and good shoes, there are a lot of tree trunks and rocks/lose stones. Dog friendly and several options for food and drinks. You pay €5 for a full day to park.

I visited the Laghi di Fusine recently and it was one of the most peaceful and scenic places I’ve seen. The water is unbelievably clear and emerald-turquoise — you can easily see stones and plant life beneath the surface — and the whole scene is framed by the dramatic, snow-topped Julian Alps (you get sweeping views of Mangart in the background).  The loop trail around the upper lake is an easy, well-marked walk (about 2 km for the circular route) with benches and viewpoints where you can stop and soak it in. In autumn the trees are changing colour, the ducks glide calmly across the water, and the setting feels quietly majestic — a perfect spot to slow down and recharge.

Such an amazing place!!!!! I was realy looking forward to visiting this place and it was worth all the long way. You have to pay to park there, but it is an amazing place to visit. HIGHLY recommended. You feel like in a windows desktop wallpaper.

We planned spontaneously to visit the lake and walk around. It's always beautiful in sunny days. Nice clean water surrounded by trees. From villach it took around 38min drive. There are three parking spots. One is just before the entrance and 2 after the entrace.we paid 5eurro to entrance for our car. We parked in just 50min from entrace. And enjoy nice walk. Even if you have one hour you would manage one round along the lake. If you have more time can visit both lake.

Amazing clear blue lake in the Julian Apls with great views of the mountains and greenery all around. Brilliant view of the Italian side of Mangart. There is an entry charge to visit the lake, it's not much but we didn't know about it. Parking was easy by the side of the road next to the lake. There toilets and cafés around the lake. The views are amazing. You cannot swim in the lake!! We didn't know and there are no signs saying no swimming. We had 2 police officer type people telling us and a few others to get out of the lake, luckily they were really polite and understanding so they informed us about the no swimming rule and said it's ok this time as it was the first time. We just saw 2 other people in the lake swimming so thought it was ok. You can rest a row boat and row on the lake which is a good option. The rowing boats were pretty but made of metal which didn't feel right so we didn't do that. Good for a stop over if you are in Bovec.

It is a very very very beautiful and peaceful place!!! I took a train from Trieste to Tarvisio Boscoverde and walked along the bike paths to the lake!!! Almost like 10km!! Next time I’ll try with the bike! And I thought it’s forbidden to swim in the lake, but yes you can!!! I came for the NO BORDER MUSIC FESTIVAL! If you love nature, hiking, biking, and music, 100% recommended to come!! You won’t regret! But maybe bring some water with you, because the water from the fountain is not drinkable.

Anyways we reached Bled around 9:30 am and then we went to the Bled Island Electric boat. The first one of the day departed at 10 am. There was about 12 of us on it. It was funny because the driver is like, you really only need 10 minutes on the island but I’ll come back in an hour. To be honest, he was definitely right!

The panoramic view is amazingly great! However, there’s nothing to do there except walk up the stairs and enjoying the landscape. Also, this type of activity worth doing one in life but still €20 per person is a high price for the boat 🛶. Plus, I noticed that they only take cash (you should Pop machine as tourists sometimes have no access to cash). Note that you may have to wait for the awhile till the boat is completely full of people.

Picturesque island with a picturesque church. 99 steps to climb to church. Many steps to climb the bell tower. Only way to get there is by row boat, which cost 20E per person. And you have to return to the boat in 40 minutes.

It's most beautiful from the outside when looking at it from a lake path or especially from a boat which you can rent on the mainland.😃 Then you can park the boat at a designated spot on the island and explore a little bit, which is a magical experience.

Bled is a must visit if you are in Slovenia. We came around end of September, got caught in the rain for the first night but the second day was perfect with sunny weather. Not too crowded during our visit. We love it

It’s our first time in Slovenia so we had to see iconic Lake Bled. We spent 4 hours walking around the lake and taking our time to enjoy the place. It’s beautiful as in a fairytale and there’s plenty to do, toboggan, kayak, SUP, take a pletna boat to the island, just walk around, have a picnic. It’s perfect. There’s definitely tourists around, like ourselves but it wasn’t overcrowded on the day we went in late September. We parked at Straza Bled, found the price most reasonable amongst other carparks for the distance to Lake Bled. 3€ for first 2 hours and 3€ for every next hour. It’s also right next to the fun toboggan.

The island of Maria on Lake Bled feels both real and timeless. I stumbled upon this as the weather shifted, the sun breaking through while a gentle rain fell, creating a moment that felt almost otherworldly.

One of the best lakes in Europe to relax and enjoy. The church is located in the middle of the lake. We can visit the church via rowing boat. Unfortunately we don't have enough time to visit the church and castle. Overall the lake is worth seeing.

The climb up to this castle is pretty steep, and tickets aren’t exactly cheap. If you don’t plan on actually going inside, it might not be worth the effort, since you won’t really get any accessible viewpoints from the top without paying for entry. We had already visited plenty of other spots in the area, so we skipped it this time – maybe next visit. Still, feels like the tickets could be priced a bit more reasonably.

Went to Bled castle on an organized trip, so I was already sorted for the tickets. The main attraction of the castle are the views on the lake, which are quite spectacular. There is a small museum with the story of the castle and of the lake (including the island), a restaurant, toilets and also a souvenir shop. Overall we spent 1h here which I think was appropriate to take photos and explore the museum.

A really interesting and almost mystical medieval castle. No long waiting lines — entry is quick and easy, whether you pay in cash or digitally — and suddenly you’re standing right inside history. At the top, there’s a cozy café where you can enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake, which I can honestly recommend. Sitting there with your coffee and cake, looking down at the lake far below, you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. You can see the boats on the water and the mountains all around — the panorama is absolutely stunning. After that, you can take a short walk through the castle, visit the small museum, explore the souvenir shops, or taste and buy local honey and wine. Toilets are available, and there’s parking right in front of the castle, though it’s a bit pricey at around 3 € per hour. Families can get a family ticket, which is a bit cheaper. We ended up spending almost the whole day there because it’s simply beautiful — peaceful, full of history, and absolutely worth a visit. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bled.

The castle is very well preserved (it is worth paying for the access) and offers a very beautiful view over the the lake and the island. On a personal note, I think it is more spectacular on the inside. It is the best way to end a nice walk around the lake.

No drones allowed. So I don’t know how people get the arial shots. Guttenburg print press shop on site where you can customize your own print. Honey shop where you can have a honey tasting. And a fine dining restaurant where, if you reserve, can have free entrance to castle included. The castle is a fantastic vantage point to see and photograph Bled Island. However if you go late in the afternoon the sun will be in your face and the island will be in the dark.

Stunning views, well worth the steep walk! The castle offers breathtaking scenery over lush green landscapes. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant—great food and excellent service. A must-visit spot in Bled!

I walked up to Bled Castle from a bath by Lake Bled. It took around 10 minutes and was mostly smooth gravel or stairs, very easy to navigate (some people were going up with prams). The castle itself is amazing. You pay to enter (16 euros at the date of my visit) and can go to various viewpoints, the museum and buy drinks and snacks to enjoy overlooking the lake. Although in peak summertime, I arrived around 8:30 (it opens at 8am) and it was so quiet meaning I could take all the pictures I wanted, wander around, and grab the best seat to chill for a few hours.

Amazing experience but plan ahead! Vintgar Gorge is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit! I highly recommend buying your ticket online in advance, it saves a lot of time. If you’re coming by car, parking is free, but be careful: the first parking lot is paid and doesn’t belong to the gorge. Drive a bit further to the second parking area, where staff will guide you where to park. From there, an electric shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and takes you directly to the gorge entrance (cars are not allowed beyond this point, only motorcycles or bikes). ⚠️ Important: your ticket is only valid for the 20-minute time slot shown on it, the gate opens only during that time! 💧 There’s also a free restroom available at the entrance. All in all, very well organized and the nature is breathtaking, a must-see when visiting Bled! 🇸🇮💚

Nice atmosphere and worth of visiting. Tickets required. If bought in advance through the internet, you can park directly at the entrance. If you want to buy tickets on site, you need to drive couple km back to the central parking where the ticket office is located. From central parking free shuttle would drive you at the entrance...

We did the full round trip at Soteska Vintgar and loved it. From Bled we took the bus to the Vintgar starting point, and after the walk we returned to Bled with the same bus - included in the ticket price. Tickets for the trip can be bought online. Buses run every 15–20 minutes, and you can also start from the Vintgar parking if you come by car. The whole experience took around 3 hours. The trail goes along the river, through the forest and meadows. The gorge is stunning, with wooden paths above crystal-clear water and the sound of the river all around. Peaceful, fresh, and absolutely worth the visit.

Very beautiful gorge! We took the guided tour which is available everyday at 4 pm. Highly recommend taking this tour if you would like to listen and understand a bit of the history of the gorge. Our guide Domen was very kind and helpful. He took us through the longest but most beautiful trail through the gorge. The trail has a bit of an incline climb but the absolutely worth the view if you are up for a little hike. He also got some Slovenian herbal tea for us to have after the hike which was very thoughtful 😊

A truly beautiful gorge. We were here in October and it was wonderfully peaceful. The gorge is truly stunning, well worth the effort. We explored the gorge with our guide, "Jan," and it's highly recommended! Jan is an experienced, enthusiastic, and friendly guide. Most beautiful hike (intermediate) we did in the area. Views are mesmerizing and there are options for a small and a big one. Can walk across the forest or along the river on the way back.

The gorge is beautiful and a great experience, also for children. It’s important to spend some time reading the website beforehand to understand how to get there, the different route options, and other important details. It’s a very organized site, and preparation really helps to make the most of the visit. For families – you can pick up a booklet with activity accessories for kids at the entrance booth. Most of the activities are set along the return trail through the forest and the scenic viewpoint over the valley pn the way back. Our kids (ages 9 and 6) absolutely loved this experience! At the end, they received a small souvenir. We completed the trail in about two and a half hours and walked fairly quickly because we were worried about missing the last bus back to the parking area at the end of the day (buses run until 20:00, then shuttle vans until 21:00 – we visited in July). On the way back, as you exit the forest, there’s a restaurant with a well-maintained playground. It looks like a great place to stop, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time because we were in a rush.

Very nice fortress overlooking the city of Salzburg. You get some magnificent view from up there. You also have the opportunity to got to the top of the fortress and get a full 360 degree view of the region. They have some nice museums and displays inside the fortress. Definitely worth it to spend some good amount of time. Even if you are here for short time, it would recommend 1.5hr just to walk through the entire area.

Bought the entrance and funicular train ticket and it's a enjoyable trip up the hill to the castle. Plenty of stuff to see in the fortress and also great view of Salzburg city from the top of the castle. Really beautiful scenery and we don't want to leave but had to rush to find the train station as we need to catch the 12pm Hallstatt tour.

We visited the Fortress Hohensalzburg and had a memorable experience. We didn’t know about the funicular to go up, so we walked all the way — a great cardio workout and a nice way to enjoy the surroundings. 🏰 The fortress itself is beautiful and very well preserved, offering a fascinating glimpse into Salzburg’s history. The museum inside is truly impressive, with excellent exhibits that make the visit even more enriching. 🌄 The highlight, however, is the breathtaking view from the top. Looking out over Salzburg and the surrounding mountains is simply unforgettable. ✅ Overall, Fortress Hohensalzburg is a must-see attraction in Salzburg. Whether you take the funicular or walk up, the combination of history, architecture, and stunning scenery makes it well worth the visit.

Truly beautiful, must see spot in Salzburg. Definitely recommend the panaromic view from the fortress tower. We unfortunately hadn’t visited neither the museum nor the armory, but we enjoyed it anyway. We really appreciated the stand where we could get for ourselves some Glühwein and simply enjoy the beautiful night view.

We thought there would be more spaces that were open for tours, but the tour was still good. The restaurant in the fortress was great! Service was great as well as the food and we enjoyed as much as we could eat as the portion sizes were large.

This is a fascinating site. There are many things to see in this historic place. Be prepared for some step climbing to get the very best views. We enjoyed learning all the history about the Fortress. There are rooms full of interesting items dating from ancient times to modern life.

Amazing castle and exhibition. Everything is modern, interactive and multisensory. Truly a nice example of the basic of how exhibitions today should look like. Plus the ticket's price is also very okay. 100% recommend buying tickets in advance though, there was a super long queue when buying on the spot.

Beautiful cathedral!! Entrance fee is a modest 5 Euros. Once inside be sure to check out the underground in the far back left (facing the altar). Also there’s a giant metal structure where Mozart was baptized as a child (see in my photos)

Beautiful large cathedral with high ceiling and open space. We got lucky as a small group of musicians were performing which allowed the music to echo throughout the cathedral which made for a peaceful ambiance. I would highly recommend visiting this place.

Just amazing! The Cathedral has a unique architecture and we also booked ourselves for an organ concert. Every day at noonafter the 12 o'clock bells there is an organ concert. It's preferable you book your place. The player changed the organs and during half hour he played different pieces to three different organs. A must do activity in Salzburg.

Nice cathedral and need 5 euro entrance ticket. We were here on the first day of Rupertikirtag festival, so the stalls and other activities are just starting to kick off the festivities. From here we walk to the Festung Hohensalzburg gate to buy the cable car ticket.

Totally worth the time to collect oneself inside out of the cold for a few private moments in prayer. An amazing dome and frescos are amazing showing of the Passion of Christ. - Jesus, show me the path of life!

An absolutely beautiful church! This stands out from many of the other churches we’d seen because of the stunning black and white design that makes the paintings pop. The organ was also beautiful. There is an entrance fee but the discount with the Salzburg card brings it down to €3.5 per person.

The gardens are magnificent. Symmetry and colors are combined in beautiful compositions. Access to the gardens is free. The palace itself is also free, but there is nothing to see. Access is only to the staircase, which is magnificent, but it is disappointing that there is no access to the halls. We only managed to peek into one.

It's a really beautiful and popular place in Salzburg that everyone have to see. The gardens are stunning and you can enjoy sitting around and taking photos. There are also classical music concerts there, which are definitely a must-see if you love this genre!

Even in late October, without all the flowers, the gardens are well kept and beautiful. I’m a huge fan of the dwarf garden! Very fun, though not PC (bc history is not PC) statues in there! Worth a walk through and FREE. The only part of the palace that was accessible was the marble staircase area—I believe it had a real name. Pretty, but the gardens are better!

Nice walk around the gardens with the memorable views of the Sound of Music. There were three weddings going on at the same time. Seems the palace was closed for visitors today. Loaded with tourists parties there for the same reason as us no doubt.

Even though it was rainy a lot, the sculptures at the outskirts of the palace and the gardens inside were pretty. The cobblestone ground was a bit swampy and uncomfortable to walk, but anyway I bet it'd be fascinating to revisit there on sunny days.

Must try experience. First timer. Didn't have time to look around during the fly. To exciting, adrenaline high,tiers in my eyes ( glasses recommended). Would go second time for sure. More relaxed now. My equipment was put by the instructor the wrong way . Noticed just before my fly. Double check as only one instructor did the job for 20 people. Staff is nice and polite with adults and children.

It was fun but, I wasn't allowed to ride with the flying coaster because of overweight, even so I didn't get any refund. There is no possibility to buy tickets on site, you can only book online. What if you don't have any scale in your hotel room? I payed 26 euro more for nothing. I think it's not a customer friendly service.

The experience was absolutely amazing, excellent, and fun! At first, I only bought the Zipline ticket and skipped the Flying Coaster, but once I got there and started enjoying it so much, I decided to go for the full experience and paid for the Flying Coaster at the check-in counter. All the staff were extremely kind, helpful, and explained everything clearly. However, the older lady at the exit (responsible for the photos) was quite rude. When we asked her about our photos because we wanted to print them, she told us to go outside, check the screen, and come back with the number. When I returned and said I couldn’t find our photo, she was very unfriendly and said, “I don’t know your photo number, and I don’t have time to look for it!” Aside from this one staff member, the entire experience was wonderful and definitely worth it.

When entering the web site they put at the end on the main page, after! The purchase button that there's a weight limit. A normal person will never see this. We just lost a ton of money and precious time. Also the lady at the counter was no where close to being understanding. These guys are not worth your money

Zipline is great adventure. Strongly recommended. It looks more terrifying than it is in reality when you are on the ride. The roller coaster after that is terrible however. I advise against it. It pulls you with force into unpredictable directions and you need all your arms to counter it. However the kids liked it.

Unique cogwheel railway to fantastic mountain-top views. Cafe and restaurant at the top and also a kiosk (cash only, very reasonable). Trains are booked so that everyone had a seat - afternoon trains were fully unbooked, so maybe go up later if you want to avoid the crowds.

👍🏻 Great experience and I think it is the best option compared to other trains in Austria. 👍🏻 The train route up and down is beautiful, allowing you to see the entire Wolfgang Lake. 👍🏻 Upon reaching the summit we were able to see very impressive views of Wolfgang Lake and other nearby lakes. ⚠️ It takes 35 minutes for the train to climb to the top and also descend the same time 35 minutes. ⚠️ In my opinion the train is a great experience for children more than adults. ⚠️ There is an overpriced adult ticket for €56 while the child ticket is €17 We request those in charge of the train management to reduce the price of the adult ticket to not exceed €35 The price is a bit reasonable. ⚠️ It is preferable to book tickets at the counter because there are discount offers because I booked online and found out that I have a discount card from the hotel, but I did not benefit from it because I actually paid. ⚠️ Restaurants and toilets are available on top. ⚠️ Always try to sit on the side overlooking Lake Wolfgang. ⚠️ Scan the ticket code on the parking lot when the final price appears and you will get a special discount, I know this by chance from the counter ticket and they don't tell anyone about it. ⚠️ Don't rush down from the top as many do, try to spend an hour to an hour and a half there to have fun and walk & For hiking lovers, I recommend staying from two to two and a half hours because there is a very beautiful and exciting trail on the edge of the mountain. ⚠️ Electronic Portals For going up and down programmed on the time set so it is not optional and you should pay attention to it. ⚠️ The location of the station is located in the Wolfgang Center and you can enjoy a walking tour that will have great views and many options of cafes and restaurants.

The trip was really great! 🌄 We bought train tickets and went up, stopping at the first station to hike to the top (about an hour’s walk). The trail is quite challenging and better suited for experienced hikers, but the views along the way are absolutely stunning. At the summit, there are breathtaking views and a nice restaurant, though a bit pricey. The place is suitable for families, but not if you plan to stop halfway and hike. We took a return ticket after about 3 hours – that’s a bit long if you’re not doing the hike, so keep that in mind. The attraction itself is quite expensive, but it’s definitely a special experience worth doing once.

Longest cog railway in Austria. And needed during the ride up the mountains. Very well maintained. Nice hall for the tickets. The ladies at the counter were patient n the condescending manner, possibly with gritted teeth. The website is very good with options. However you need to be very precise with when you want to travel and come back which we couldn’t do as we were driving and wanted to flexible. Anyway don’t let my comments detract from you not taking this railway through beautiful countryside. I did meet someone at the top whom had walked up….. this would have been great too but the knees

Very nice memories on old travels by train. Beautiful views on lakes during travel up to hill. It is better to be here early to book appropriate time. Parking are various and expensive close to starting station. Everything is it unforgettable.

The Schafbergbahn was a unique and memorable experience, with beautiful views from the summit. While the train ride itself was interesting, I’d recommend planning to spend about an hour at the top—unless you’re eating at the restaurant. That should give you enough time to walk around, take some photos, and soak in the scenery (along with the chilly mountain air!). It wasn’t the most breathtaking view of my trip, and the ticket price felt a bit steep, but I’m still glad I did it at least once. It’s the kind of experience that’s worth checking off your list if you’re in the area.

Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for the guidance, explanations and tour we received from Ms. Angelica. It was a stunning experience by any measure. These days, two years after the October 7th event in Israel, and 80 years after the Holocaust, and the world has learned nothing.

Very sombre experience, hard to imagine how one human can be so terribly cruel to another. Sad that the prisoner thought it was easier to take their own lives by jumping onto rocks in the quarry, below the camp. Eerie feeling about the place, but so many stories to hear.

One of the most harrowing experiences of my life - coming face to face with the total rupture of humanity and watching the world explode with the same hate again was almost too much to handle. But the survivors and their families, and their optimism, brings hope!

Was here for the 80th anniversary commemoration for the liberation of the camp, and on a separate occasion, I visited the museum and grounds. The museum is well put together and the exhibits are informative and comprehensive. I was here for several hours but I felt like it wasn't enough to truly absorb everything. The camp is located near a town by the same name, and it always makes me unsettled when I think about how many people lived in such close proximity to the camp during the war, and just kept on with their lives, ignoring the atrocities being committed just a few kilometers away. The town still exists today and is populated. I can't imagine living anywhere near this place, especially given that most of the Mauthausen inhabitants are probably descendants of Nazis.

Very educational and a must visit to learn about the Holocaust victims and history of it. I grew up nearby so seen it during school time already, but the museum and all description have been enhanced by a lot. Also for english speakers no problem as all is also described in English and there is an app with audio guides as well in multiple languages, so everyone can visit and learn about this dark time of the history.

Everybody needs to visit these concentration camps. Visited while cycle touring the Danube

"A Medieval Gem with Breathtaking Views" The Český Krumlov Castle is truly one of the most enchanting places in the Czech Republic. The combination of medieval fortress, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and the charming old town below makes it feel like stepping back in time. The castle grounds are vast and full of surprises — from courtyards and historic halls to the beautiful castle tower with its colorful facade. Climbing the tower is absolutely worth it for the panoramic view over Český Krumlov’s red rooftops and winding river — it’s picture-perfect. The castle gardens are also lovely for a peaceful stroll, especially in spring and summer. Guided tours of the interior give fascinating insight into the history of the noble families who lived here, and the preservation of the rooms is impressive. Even if you don’t take a tour, just wandering the grounds and soaking up the atmosphere is an unforgettable experience. A must-visit when in South Bohemia — magical, historic, and full of charm.

Cesky Krumlov it is the most romantic place in the Czech Republic, you can visit it both in summer and winter during the holidays. The castle is huge and offers a great view of the city. On the waterfront there are many very picturesque restaurants where you can eat well.

A large castle, that was built originally in the early 1300's and later rebuilt in renessaince ans baroque styles. Really beautiful and amazing, the only negative thing is that you have to buy several tickets if you want to see everything, as there is no combined ticket. You can visit the courtyards for free. The museum and the tower is possible to visit without guide but to the rooms of the castle there are only guided rooms - but definitely worth going. Great views to the town from the tower! Don't miss this while in town!

A beautiful gem of the Czech Republic. We fell in love with this city at first sight. It's so much fun to walk around its picturesque streets, sail on the river and just feel like you're in a magical fairy tale.

A beautiful and interesting castle in the Czech Republic. It has a long history that stimulates my curiosity, too. If Prague is one of the most popular places to visit in the Czech Republic, then this place might be the most beautiful and impressive.

If anything, the views of the town are what I would go back for again. Just surreal. Makes you think about how life was for the citizens of those days. The air is filled with the moisture and freshness of the running river; not to mention the sound of it flowing. Magical place. Go early in the morning, before the tour buses from Prague arrive.

Well worth a visit to this UNESCO site. Some good restaurants and good beer too all at reasonable prices. Be prepared for some long walks but there is plenty to see especially the castle built into the rock. Some splendid views too. However, I was not impressed by the bears kept in a pit!

A beautiful place with an amazing view from the top of the tower, you can see the whole center of Cesky Krumlov and the castle with it's tower from a different angle. Timber rafts have been an important part of Cesky Krumlov’s history, having transported primarily materials in the past and now passengers. The small timber rafting museum is situated inside of St. Josh Church and is an incredible experience to visit.

(Translated by Google) Hospital for the sick and poor with the church of St. Jošta was founded around 1330 by Peter I of Rožmberk. In the years 1594-1599, the original church was rebuilt by the architect Dominik Cometta and a new tower was built at the same time. The new church was dedicated to the Holy Trinity and Petr Vok dedicated it to Krumlov Protestants. Originally, he planned to build a family tomb in the church, but in the end it failed and Petr Vok was buried in the family tomb in the monastery in Vyšší Brod. After his death, the church was returned to the Catholics and rededicated in the name of St. Still. In 1765, the tower was still modified in the Baroque style, but already in 1788, as part of the reforms of Emperor Joseph II. canceled and gradually rebuilt into a residential building. The hospital existed here until 1922. Today, the view is accessible from the church tower corridor, and even though the building is located lower than the castle tower, it is worth climbing the stairs - you have the Lateran, the Inner City, Lazebnický bridge, Parkán, as well as the southern part of the castle complex, as if in the palm of your hand. The exterior, inspired by Windsor Castle, is immaculate and the white architecture against the backdrop of the park is simply breathtaking. The Interior Tour: I highly recommend taking a guided tour to see the luxurious interiors. The rooms are a magnificent display of aristocratic wealth—from the intricate wood carving and grand staircases to the priceless art and Murano chandeliers. A real journey into the 19th-century noble life. Grounds: The surrounding English Park and gardens are massive and perfect for a relaxing stroll, offering different beautiful views of the chateau from every angle. Tip: Be aware that photography is usually forbidden inside the castle, but the outside views make up for it! Get there early or book your tour tickets online, as it is very popular. A must-see in South Bohemia!

A beautifully maintained 13th century Neo Gothic Chateau in South Bomehia overlooking the forests, town and Vltara River. All the rooms have been preserved to their original state. It was considered a hunting retreat for the royal families so if you're a big animal lover this one may not be for you as all the open rooms are adorned with many many animal trophies. It was considered very modern in its time as they had electricity and modern toilets as far back as the 1920's. Its huge and beautifully architectured and maintained. Worth a visit

Visited the fairy-tale beauty of Hluboká Castle (Hluboká nad Vltavou), one of the most stunning castles in the Czech Republic. Located near České Budějovice in South Bohemia, this neo-Gothic masterpiece is often compared to Windsor Castle in England. With its breathtaking architecture, beautiful gardens, and rich history, Hluboká is a must-visit destination for travelers exploring Europe.

Worth the detour this is a gorgeous unique castle with ties to powerful families in Europe. In October it was off season so two wings were closed to the public and since it was raining so was the tower. Leaving only one wing to visit which was unfortunate. You can also only visit with a guided tour, our guide was funny and knowledgeable. Would recommend!

Incredible but english tour guide could use more people skills. He wouldn't answer any group questions about the castle or royalty ... Can't understand why. The catle itslef is worth a detour! Highly recomand!

Visiting Konopiště Castle was absolutely wonderful. The interior tour was fascinating, with room after room full of history and interesting trinkets. There’s so much to see. I was especially surprised to see an elevator inside such an old castle. Just be aware: the tours are only available in Czech, however there's audio guides available in English, German, and some other languages. The on-site chocolate shop was a sweet surprise. The variety of chocolates was impressive, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. I only wish I could have sampled them all! Sadly the rose garden was not yet in bloom during our visit, but I'm very sure it is a sight to be seen. The presence of so many peacocks wandering the grounds added a magical touch. A peaceful walk around the nearby lake was the perfect way to end the visit—calm, scenic, and incredibly relaxing. All in all, Konopiště Castle is a must see. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. It blends rich history, natural beauty, and charming surprises.

During the Franz/Sophie private apartment tour you'll be able to see a set of truly touching drawings made by their daughter showing the alegory of the assassination - taking photos is forbidden and unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet. There is also a temporary exibition of historical clothing of the nobility with an incredible guide.

A visit to Konopiště castle will bring you back in time to the beginning of the 20th century when it belonged to the heir to the Habsburg throne. He and his family lived in splendid seclusion oblivious to what the future holds for them. You have a choice from several tours out of which the one through the private chambers of the family is as close as you can get to the royals of that time.

There are 4 tours at different hours. You need more time to see at least 2 of them. The castle is well maintained. have beautiful views. Also there are deers, peacocks and bear (that was somewhere inside). No photos allowed inside of this castle!

Wow! Just WOW! It's simply impossible to see everything in one tour. That's why there are 4 different routes for sightseeing tours. Unfortunately, we were only able to visit tour 2. But I haven't seen so many medieval weapons and everything else in a long time. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures inside. Come and see! You definitely won't regret it! Parking for a day costs 100 CZK, which is 4 euros. There are also many interesting things around the castle, such as a park, a rose garden, a mini zoo

The castle is interesting both from the outside and inside. The tours are interesting, we especially liked the hall of arms. There is also a botanical garden where you can have a very nice walk, so I recommend coming in the warm season.
