(Translated by Google) The best place in Treviso if you're looking for a bit of tranquility outside the city center. This walk, which connects Treviso's city center with Silea, Casier, and then all the way to Jesolo, runs alongside the Sile River for much of its length. It's a wonderful walk, whether you're alone for a workout or with your family, given the large number of animals both in and out of the water. In the summer, you can enjoy water sports like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, which can also be rented along the route. There are two refreshment points along the walk, Al Makallè and Da Nea.

Spectacular views and beautiful architecture
Steven P — Google review
The castle is beautiful from the drone, however you can't go inside. It appears private and is apparently only open for short periods.
Paul H — Google review
Visited during "Libri in cantina". A well organised event in a wonderful setting. However, the castle is a private property. It is normally closed to the public and is accessible only on special occasions. Worth taking advantage of those if possible. It is worth walking up to it even if closed, the views of the surrounding vineyard are lovely.
Andrej T — Google review
Our visit to Castello di San Salvatore in Italy was rather disappointing. Unfortunately, we were unable to enter the castle, as it appeared to be open exclusively for pre-announced groups. This limitation was frustrating, and we were left with no option but to take a walk around the perimeter fence. Navigating our way to the castle was a challenge in itself, as there was a lack of clear directions on how to get there and where to park. The overall experience left us feeling bewildered and underwhelmed. It's unfortunate that we couldn't explore this historical site as we had hoped.

Villa
Sights & Landmarks
Villa Foscari, also known as La Malcontenta, is a magnificent 16th-century Palladian villa located in Mira, near Venice. Commissioned by the Foscari brothers, this regal mansion features an imposing facade and is adorned with floor-to-ceiling frescoes that follow a carefully designed iconographical program. The villa's interior boasts well-preserved rooms decorated with a large cycle of frescoes, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history and architectural significance.
We visited this location on a boat tour. The architecture and the history is just awesome! The history surounding this place is worth hiring a guide. We ware lucky that we had someone guide us through the whole experience. We found out about the "Vitruvian Man" proportions used by the architect when building this nice villa. Nothing much more to say then, go visit!
Paul P — Google review
We visited Villa Foscari “La Malcontenta” yesterday – a wonderful experience for me as an architect and for my husband, who is a painter. It’s the only Andrea Palladio villa located directly on the Brenta River, and it’s absolutely worth visiting. Less crowded than Villa Rotonda, it allows you to enjoy its beauty in complete peace and quiet. The façades facing the river and the park reveal two completely different characters – a true masterpiece of symmetry, proportion, and light. The young lady at the ticket desk was exceptionally kind and very knowledgeable about the history of the villa and the area. She shared many interesting details that made our visit even more special. You can also use an audio guide available in several languages – the access link is provided when you purchase your ticket.
Anna K — Google review
Another superlative villa by Andrea Palladio (1508-1580), preserved from the 16th century as if in a time warp. Just a short drive from Venice or also reachable by boat via the Brenta Canal. It was conceived for the brothers Nicolo and Alvise Foscari and nearly complete by 1560. One of the interior rooms currently features a sculpture designed by Zaha Hadid (1950-2016), whose design was derived from the dimensions of the villa. The rooms themselves appear surprisingly livable with nice views of the canal and the garden.
Nils P — Google review
I was expecting a bit more for the price we had to pay, some areas are closed off. Other villas that are close by charge less than half the price and has more to offer and see. They have informative cards about the villa in different languages (Italian, English and German, maybe French as well). Great architecture and arts within the villa though.
Riza G — Google review
Charming Paladian villa with gorgeous frescoes, very close to Venice, but may be a little boring for non Architects
Peter M — Google review
Upper floor not accessible, lower floor not accessible, only two rooms can be visited. Nothing special considering Italy’s and Veneto’s artistic heritage. Expensive ticket. Tourist trap

The guide had an excelent speach about this villa, she introduced use into its history, she explained how the villa got its name, how it was restored, to whom it belongs now. (Translated by Google) I can't say much about these structures 🛖 given that my visit on site turned out to be very short, one could almost say a simple "inspection". I was there some time ago just taking a look 👀 from the outside since the casoni 🛖 were closed 🚫; in this regard, I believe that, for the benefit of the visitor, explanatory panels 🪧 could also be applied to the gate with any visiting times (even the classic "piece of cheese paper" would still be better than nothing). Having said that, the casoni 🛖 are suggestive and absolutely particular (I had never seen similar structures in the Venetian countryside), especially when considered in the landscape context 🌾 of which they are part. To get there, simply continue 🚘 south on the S.S. 309 🛣 and turn left ⬅️ at a certain point (immediately after the interconnection between the "Romea" itself and the "Piovese"), then following the appropriate directions. I will definitely return in good weather 🌞 also to take a walk 🚶🏻‍♂️ along the nearby embankment. P.S.❗️❗️❗️GOOGLE CENSORSHIP❗️❗️❗️ REVIEW REPUBLISHED WITH THIS NEW PROFILE CREATED FOLLOWING THE SHAMEFUL AND UNJUSTIFIED BLACKOUT OF THE PREVIOUS BY GOOGLE ADMINISTRATORS ❗️❗️❗️STOP CENSORSHIP❗️❗️❗️ (Original) Non posso dire moltissimo su queste strutture 🛖 visto che la mia visita in loco si è rivelata assai breve, si potrebbe dire quasi un semplice "sopralluogo". Love the atmosphere here. Friendly environment with animals. Full of ducks. Kids love it. Parking lot is about 200 meters to walk. Entrance need to pay 5€ each. Young kids under 5 years old got free entry. Inside have a small bar that you can buy drinks and some easy snacks like Patatine.

Friendly staff. Nice quiet place. Atmosphere, nurture, fresh air worth a visit. My 4 year old daughter is having a great time. Under 5 years old can entrance free and adult entrance fee is €5. Large car parking area available. Owl’s show is much interesting. Recommend for family with small children and who is interested nature, birds. Rest of the details you can find on official website.

Amazing place and such a great find. Am told this is a community owned place so all the money made through entrance goes to the upkeep of the place. However, make sure you bring cash as they don’t accept cards. We made this mistake after a long cycle ride (and the nearest ATM was not working) though the people who work here are very accommodating and so helped with the few coins we had. The world needs more places like this ... so if you are in the area, travelling through etc be sure to stop in. Please note this a nature reserve not a zoo!! So patience and, though we did, don’t always expect to see animals

Brilliant. Well-organised collection, with useful contextual information. Labelling is in Italian (not English). However, Mr Boscarato saw that we were struggling and gave us a personal tour of the museum, in English. Full of fascinating insights and a unique pleasure. Mille grazi !!

Evamasia B — Google review
This museum really amazed me because of the quantity and quality of its pottery: Bronze Age, Etrurian, Roman, Paleo-Christian, etc. The first room seems to be always dedicated to a small exhibition that mixes ancient artworks and modern designs. When I visited, it displayed glassware side-by-side with locally produced jewellery. The remainder halls mostly exhibit pottery. Quality ranges from basic red pottery and jars meant for food preservation to fine red-on-black and black-on-red figures pertaining to different ages. Most of it comes from several burials dug in the location of the necropolis of yore. The lapidarium shall not be overlooked. It does not compare with that of Aquileia in terms of size, however it stands out because of the clarity the reported inscriptions. Finally, there is a Gaul (Celtic) chariot, together with the skeletons of some horses, which is complemented by wall-paintings by Fedele, possibly a local (?) artist. Although some descriptions and labels are not excessively deep, the best aid to the understanding of archaeological findings is given by several maps, which are indeed accurate in their portrayal of the settlements and the European regions to which Adria was connected. Some explanatory videos are also present. Kudos to the staff and the curators for the hard work.
Andrea M — Google review
Brilliant collection and display of Roman and Etruscan life. All signage was in Italian but the English speaking guide we had was a born narator and passionate about his job
Raymond R — Google review
A wonderful museum and an excellent destination for all people who are interested in the ancient history and archeology of the caput adriae. The people there are very nice and polite. The conception of the Museum makes it easy for everyone to get in touch with the topic. Over that I recommend it to all archaeologists who are into late bronze age/iron age both south and north of the Alps. Also Classical archaeologists should visit the Museum and take a walk with Mrs. Facchi around the exhibition. Ancient Adria seems to be a very important interface between the classical mediterranian world and the bordering archaeological iron age cultures and thus the museum is a symbol for the importance of interdisciplinary archaeological research.

Sights & Landmarks
Villa Emo, a 16th-century Palladian villa located in Fanzolo, showcases the minimalist design of architect Palladio and its harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape. Once the main residence of the Venetian patrician Emo family, it is flanked by long porticoed wings that served as stables and storage spaces. The villa's garden, designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi, features typical Italian Renaissance elements and attracts admiration from visitors.
Amazing villa built by Palladio. Beautiful Renaissance architecture and fully frescoes inside. It is really well run and the staff are friendly abs helpful. Good explanation of the site and access to guides in multiple languages. A must see if you are in the area and easily accessible from Venice or Verona.

Villa Emo is a beautiful Renaissance villa designed by Andrea Palladio, set within a historic farm estate near the village of Fanzolo. Once used for silk production, the grounds also feature fruit trees like lemons, reflecting its agricultural roots. Though a true Italian architectural gem, the villa is currently under renovation and may not be open to the public. To visit, take a train to Fanzolo, then continue on foot or by local transport.

Very beautiful villa, easy comunication to make the reservation. The decoration is amazing inside. There's parking in front of

This is a beautiful villa currently under renovation. To visit it is important, nay essential, to check opening times on the website. Even then, due to the ongoing renovation work accidents happen and patience may be needed. Today we had to wait until the electrical plant got going again after yesterday's storm: even the person responsible for the site was not able to digit her code to enter. That said, the lady is most helpful in providing information and she acted most professionally in a difficult situation. Kudos. (Suggestions for the owner: either get the lady an assistant, or pay her more: she answers the phone, explains, juggles tickets, and so forth. Maybe all right in winter, not so in summer.) The lady is evidently passionate about the site, Palladio's work, and about architecture in general. She provided information about the site, its past, future plans for it, and about nearby works by Palladio (and Scarpa). Once in, the 6 rooms currently accessible are very nicely restored to the previous glory. The park is very nice. Highly recommended: my family's experience today was completely at odds with some of the reviews on this site. Thank you, looking forward to seeing what the site will be like when the works will finish. In bocca al lupo!
Paul R — Google review
A nice local site to visit but I wouldn't consider a ride of more than 30 minutes with it. The garden is well maintained and allows for a relaxed stroll. The villa itself looks much better from the front than from the backside, it would be nice if it were in good shape all around. The frescos inside a really beautiful.
Sascha U — Google review
The architecture and the frescoes are nice it is really overpriced. Do not pay 10€ for entering, rather enjoy the outside and you will have seen 90% of the experience as the 5 frescoed room are a big disappointment for this price. Don’t even bother going to the back of the villa which is completely run down

The Museum Gipsoteca Antonio Canova showcases the extensive collection of plaster models created by the renowned sculptor Antonio Canova. Visitors can marvel at his iconic works such as Hercules and Lica, gaining a deep understanding of his mastery in sculpture. The museum also includes Casa Canova, which provides insight into the artist's life through tempera pictures, paintings, and sculptures. While English tours require advance booking, Italian tours are available every hour.
Astonishing Carlo Scarpa’s work! The space is a play of light within a box, the display of sculpture is like a living inside a room, very unconventional, and lively. A Must Visiting Place!

Abbazia di Santa Giustina

Sights & Landmarks
The Abbazia di Santa Giustina is a 10th-century Benedictine abbey in Padova, Italy. It features an elaborate interior and houses a remarkable collection of religious artwork. Visitors can explore the Scrovegni Chapel, the gardens, and the Museum nearby. The abbey is home to the tombs of several saints including St. Justine, St. Prosdocimus, and St. Maximus as well as relics of apostles such as St. Matthias and St.
It is very important church of the city. The 1st temple was built in the 6th centuary, one of its tympanum is shown inside, in the shrine after the ancient well. Interior is mostly strict and classical, the major attractions, as for me, are baroque chapels with splendid sculptures and wonderful pieces of pittura di pietra artworks. Veronese in the high altar is hard to see, it is too far.
Sergei B — Google review
My wife and I visited this beautiful church on the day of Pope Francis' funeral in Rome. The exterior is architecturally very interesting. The interior is charming and serene. The Monastery of St. Justine is a 10th-century Benedictine monastery located in front of Prato della Valle in the center of Padua. The former monastery houses the Basilica of St. Justine, which was originally built in the 6th century, but its current form is the result of a 17th-century renovation.
Bogdan M — Google review
This is one of the most spectacular Churches I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Italy. Aside from its historic appeal, it features incredibly detailed woodwork behind the alter, each section depicting a notable scene from the Bible. There’s also an older gentleman who keeps up the building, and offers complimentary tours, (in Italian). To my surprise there’s several other rooms in the building, and even a good sized monastery with a very peaceful garden area for meditation.
Jian P — Google review
Huge, old basilica. Specialy old seems to be side church with remains of Roman mosaics and chage of saint Luca. Church has also a crypt.
Gaber Z — Google review
A must see on your Padua visit or pilgrimage. A volunteer guide at the church, Giorgio, gave us an amazing historical/theological tour: you can see the tombs of St. Luke and St. Giustina, an intricate wood carved choir, and artifacts from the early Christian and medieval periods. The basilica itself is Renaissance in an austere monastic style. The guide explained how the domes were designed to favor acoustics, something I had rarely seen. Be sure the stop and by and enjoy this gem of a church and the beautiful plaza that surrounds it.
Mel R — Google review
In theory this is the second Basilica for Padua, but it is incredible. The links to the St Luke writer of a Gospel for those who are Christian, but as a building it is breathtaking. The painted stone is so delicate it doesn't look real.
James P — Google review
this church is really a masterpiece, which focuses on the martyrs who died in Jesus's name❤️
Julieee A — Google review
The Abbey of Santa Giustina is a 10th-century Benedictine abbey complex located in front of the Prato della Valle in central of Padua. Adjacent to the former monastery is the basilica church of Santa Giustina, initially built in the 6th century, but whose present form derives from a 17th-century reconstruction. The basilica is monumental from the Prato della Valle is well visible. A church dedicated to the St Justina of Padua and of other 4th century Christian martyrs of Padua, was present at the site by the 520s, erected under the patronage of the Prefect Opilius and housing the relics of the saint. The church was already described as lavish in decoration in the 565 biography of Life of St Martin, written by Venantius Fortunatus. By the 10th century, pilgrims who came to the basilica to venerate the saints' relics, were ministered by monks. In 971, Bishop of Padua placed the community under the Rule of St. Benedict. The complex of the Abbey of Santa Giustina includes the large Basilica with eight domes and the rich monastery, of which it is possible to visit the Cloister of the Chapter, built in the 12th century in Romanesque style and the Main Cloister, also called the Painted Cloister for the many frescoes that decorated it. The interior of the Basilica of Santa Giustina, vast and bright, one of the greatest masterpieces of Renaissance architecture, has a Latin cross shape and is divided into three naves by large pillars. For dimensions (122 meters long) Santa Giustina is the ninth among the churches in the world, also marked in the floor of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. To the right and left of the side aisles there are twenty chapels, ten on one side and ten on the other. They are painted with masterpieces by famous Renaissance masters such as Giacomo Ceruti, Pietro Damini, Bernardo Falcone, Luca Giordano, Pietro Liberi and the greatest of all Paolo Veronese.

Family-friendly wildlife park, home to around 70 species of animal, with picnic area & playground.
Kids are enjoying so much. Beautiful environment, lovely place to visit there. Staff also very friendly and helpful. But price is i think little bit high like adult 10 above 17 euro and kids under 12 euro
Shafiul A — Google review
Cash only as they have no connection for a card machine. Nice collection of animals with absolutely stunning black panthers. However they refuse to let younreturn to your car for say a picnic so you either have to carry it round the whole place with you or wait until you leave. It wouldn't be difficult to say stamp your hand or even give you a ticket. This just seems unnecessary inconvenience, especially when there's no cafe or anything more than a few vending machines on site.
Andy S — Google review
Lots under construction at the beginning of the standard itinerary - would be good to have more information on their renovations explaining what's coming. I hope it's bigger enclosures for the big cats... We managed to see them all up super close which was great but probably because enclosures small. In general not a lot of info on the boards of enclosures, some missing, many not in English and would get nice to know where animal came from, if born in captivity, where etc. A bit more behind the scenes insights! Some free little talks would be a nice add in. Nice that there is no restaurant or shops, makes it nicely non commercial and focused on the visit. Nice play park for kids at the end. Would be nice to receive a detailed map upon entering Thank you
Angela F — Google review
The zoo is nice, some windows are so dirty you cannot see through. 😅 unfortunately, when we were there some parts were under construction. Overall, it was a nice experience. The down side is they DO NOT HAVE a restaurant or coffeshop/bar inside their zoo, only some vendingmachines. You must pack you own lunch! (Do not be us, we had to leave earlier because we were starving).
Brenda F — Google review
This was a fun experience. The kid had a blast, we had a lot of fun too. It is quite big, it could be better taken care of but since we went right after the lock down I think it was because of that. A lot of different animals!

The best: not crowded zoo. Animals have a really big space and they seem well care. As they have a lot of space, they can hice easily inside their cages so you may wait a bit until you can see some of them. You can bring your own food to make a picnic inside. No bar inside but there are some bending machines for coffee and snacks.

Sacrario militare del Monte Grappa is a significant memorial that commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Situated atop Mount Grappa, it offers stunning panoramic views and serves as a poignant reminder of the historical events that unfolded there. The memorial pays tribute to both Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers, with various memorials dedicated to them. Visitors can explore the site's outdoor displays featuring names and battles, while also taking in the surrounding natural beauty.
Amazing place with an amazing view of pretty much all Veneto. I went during winter which made the experience even better.

The view is better than the monument. We didn't take the galleria-tour, since didn't know about it until we left the parking. We visited on a nice sunny Sunday and the parking was full, we had to wait for a parking spot to be available. The road up to the spot is very nice but narrow, bicycle would be preferred is it wasn't for quite dense traffic.

It offers an essential visit for those interested in the archaeological and cultural aspects of the 'land of Polesine.' The museum features interactive rooms and a cloister that adds value to the experience. Dedicated to the history and ecology of rivers like Po and Adige, it provides rich displays covering geology, natural history, and daily life of river communities.
Fabulous venue, I recently was at my friends wedding here and it's perfect for photos - such a wonderful building
Peter B — Google review
Not too expensive, enjoyable collection of local history. It is quite noticeable that most photos / videos / electronics are quite old. There is a heavy late 90s vibe to this place, but that is reflected in the low ticket price. What adds a lot of atmosphere to this museum is that it is located in an old monastery. As all of the monasteries in my own country got destroyed (protestantism happened, monasteries were outlawed) it was a great bonus to have most of the museum located in the second floor hallways. Perhaps I would advice the museum to advertise itself a bit better, I only went there because a friend of mine who is a local knew about it. Even the entrance is a bit hard to find with very scarce signage. PS All the texts are in Italian and English, so that shouldn't stop a foreign visitor.

Mura di Cittadella e Camminamento di Ronda is the main attraction in Cittadella, a beautiful small city surrounded by well-maintained medieval walls steeped in history. The ramparts are open from 9 am to 5 pm during winter and until 7 pm from April to September, with the last entry one hour before closing. It takes about 30-45 minutes to walk around the walls, offering stunning views of the city.
i was casually scrolling through maps when I stumbled upon this tiny, walled village. since it happened to be on our route, we decided to stop for half a day. and honestly i have no idea how i have never heard of this place. it’s stunning. for just 3€ (student discount), you can walk along the medieval walls, which offer breathtaking views. from up there, you get a perfect panorama of the entire village, a massive church dominating the skyline, and mountains stretching into the distance like a postcard that somehow came to life. if you ever get the chance stop here.

This is such a hidden gem - beautiful place and seriously impressive to be able to make the full tour on medieval city walls. Little tricky with a fear of heights, but manageable. The barriers were robust all round, and we felt sufficiently secure to bring our little boy there. Prams can be left at the entrance. The inside of the city itself is also nice to stroll around.

My wife and I were brought here by a family friend while visiting her here in Italy. We walked along the top of the wall that surrounds the city and marveled at the sights. The view is incredible. I wouldn't recommend the tour along the wall for anyone who's afraid of heights. The city itself is charming and had a street market setup when we were there. I was told that the market is only setup on Mondays.

Super cool experience to walk the walls surrounding this city. Only ones of the style that ypu still can walk in Europe. 360 degree veiws of the ancient town inside the walls and out along with a couple museums.

Cittadella itself is a nice little place. The normal day to day Italian life is visible here, in september there are hardly toerist. On Wednesday morning there is a market, the city holds Manny (coffee)bars and restaurants. There are also a lot of clothing shops. Verry nice for a 4-5 hour visit and lunch. The wall costs 5 euro to visit and wil give you stunning views over the city and surroundings. In a ralex pace the walk around took us 1 hour+. Note: not suitable for people with fear of heights 🫣.

A truly beautiful historic town with stunning buildings and a remarkable castle wall that can be visited and walked upon. There are plenty of cozy spots to enjoy coffee or grab a bite to eat, and parking is abundant and inexpensive. Do note that everything closes at 1 p.m. and reopens at 3 p.m. for siesta. Highly recommended.

BEAUTIFUL AND BREATHTAKING WALK ALONG THE HISTORIC CITY WALLS OF CITTADELLA. The full-price ticket for multiple destinations is very good and valid for a whole year. There is plenty of parking nearby. We purchased our entrance tickets from the tourist office located next to Porta Bassano.

Castello Cini Monselice, also known as Ca Marcello, is a historic castle complex dating back to the 11th century. Once a stronghold, it was later transformed into a more peaceful residence by the Venetian Marcello family. The castle offers stunning views and attracts fewer crowds compared to other tourist spots. Nearby restaurants serve delicious pasta and local wine, adding to the overall experience.
We saw this from the train on our way to Montegrotto from Rome. Used the rail to go back and visit. The walk to the Castle is moderate difficulty. (We are seniors) Guided tour is in Italian but they have a room to room guide in English for you to follow along. The host does speak English and can answer any questions and encouraged us to ask questions. Very knowledgable about the history and artifacts about the place. The fortress on the mountain is only open in fall and spring. I would have loved to have seen it. It is closed from noon till 2:30. Tours are on the hour 9, 10, and 11. Small groups and for summer tours, 9 or 10am.

Definitely worth a visit. Our guide was knowledgeable and informative. She spoke in Italian, so I can't comment on her English. The castle is well preserved and furnished making a visit more interesting. The Armory is particularly good along with the rooms of the piano nobile. Also, the kitchens contain many original features.

A beautiful tour of a wonderful castle. The items in the castle were collected in the 1700s-1800s and were not from the castle, but were from the medieval period. You have to take the guided tour to see the castle, but it is worth it.

Nestled near the iconic Ponte Vecchio, the Poli Grappa Museum offers a delightful journey into the world of grappa, showcasing its rich history and production techniques. Established in 1993 by the Poli family, this charming museum features five informative rooms that guide visitors through traditional distillation methods to contemporary practices. The museum not only highlights the ancient art of grappa-making but also houses an impressive collection of prehistoric artifacts and exquisite ceramics from Greece and Apulia.
Grappa is great but they also have a few unique and delicious types of gin! Free tastings and decent prices. Museum was really educational and everything was in Italian and English.

Grappa is one of Italian most famous spirits. Poli family is one of few who established its production and one of the best in business with a tradition over 100 y. The museum is located in old town Bassano, few steps from the Ponte Vecchio bridge, town's main landmark. Museum is pretty small, but very well presented and it is free (have in mind most such museums throughout Europe and US charge entry fee). Apart from Grappa processing technology explained you can see historic bottles, sense Grappa varieties smells and best of all, taste free samples of it in a small shop at the end of the tour
Dejan B — Google review
Super interesting museum with loads of information and interactive resources. The Grappa is so tasteful and simply amazing. The museum is free and you can have a few samples with no pressure to buy. We brought a few 100ml bottles and we love them all. Quality is amazing and the price was very very good. Nice souvenirs! A must for people visiting Bassano!

Fantastic and free museum! Worth the stop to learn about Grappa! The samples at the end were great and show just how diverse grappa flavors can be.

Liked it. Has a nice atmosphere and you can taste the beverages for free. No entry fee. The prices for gin ,whiskey and Grappa are according to the status of the distillery and affordable.

Nestled at the foot of the historic Ponte Vecchio in Bassano del Grappa, the Poli Grappa Museum is not just a collection of exhibits — it’s a love letter to one of Italy’s oldest and most misunderstood spirits: Grappa. Run by the legendary Poli family, distillers since 1898, the museum guides you through five centuries of grappa-making, from rustic copper stills to modern-day artistry. You’ll learn how leftover grape skins (vinaccia) are transformed into a noble distillate — a process rooted in sustainability long before it was fashionable. The museum is small but beautifully curated, with multilingual explanations, antique distillation tools, and aromatic exhibits that let you “smell the spirit” in every sense. At the end, step into the tasting room, where the real magic happens. The Poli family’s grappe are elegant, refined, and expressive — from the floral and smooth Morbida, to the bold Sarpa di Poli. You’ll also find liqueurs, brandy, and even grappa-based perfumes. This is not just a stop for grappa lovers — it’s a window into Italian craftsmanship, tradition, and heart.

This place had special significance for my wife as her Nonno served in WW1 with the Alpini. Very fascinating exhibition even if you have no link to it. Entry is through the tavern & downstairs. Well worth a visit.

You can get English or Italian audio guide to the museum which locates downstairs of a bar. The layout of the display cabinets were a bit confusing but the audios were very detailed. Small museum but very well kept and with some truly goosebump-inducing objects, the exhibit that struck me the most is the helmet with the bullet hole and still with traces of blood and brain matter, perhaps it is macabre but it reminds us that millions of people died. Thank you for what you do, places like this shout out loud "DON'T FORGET" especially to the new generations (Original) Piccolo museo gestito dagli alpini all'interno del bar sul famoso ponte di Bassano. Casa del Petrarca is a historical museum that showcases 25 ancient pianos from the 18th and 19th centuries. The house, where the poet spent his last four years, is surrounded by his gardens. Nearby, visitors can explore the UNESCO site of Laghetto della Costa with remains dating back to the 23rd to the 15th century BC. The garden of Valsanzibio from the late seventeenth century adds to the symbolic atmosphere.
Beautiful and historic home of the poet Petrarch with photographs, artworks, frescoes and a video (in Italian only) -- well worth a visit.

A very nice little town in a picturesque corner of Italy, the house impresses with its authenticity, very cosy and peaceful atmosphere, I recommend visiting !
Nadiia R — Google review
A truly beautiful place, home of one of the most important humanists in Europe - Petrarca - who predates Spinoza with several centuries. So this is a place to take into one's heart, mind and soul, together with the work of Petrarca. I hope that the museum can raise funds to digitalise the texts, make brochures and a downloadable app to present all the information. Maybe some interactive devices, presenting Petrarca. And work with a good light company like iGuzzini for the lighting. To replace the big text stands and lamps that are outdated and take away the immense feel of the building. Give this museum a grand and present us more of Petrarca, a humanist visionair!

Love visiting here! It’s €6 for the entrance fee and you can pay by credit card. There’s many small rooms in the house. Each room has nice demonstrations on the wall frescoes, had a nice time appreciating the frescoes. From all the stories and the histories of the house, it’s obvious that the poet is very well respected in Italy

Montagnana's medieval town walls are completely intact and absolutely stupendous. It took me 50 minutes to complete a gorgeous stroll around the four sides. The walls are almost two kilometres long, they include 24 towers, as well as four main city gates. One slight gripe is that while there is a path for walkers on the eastern/Porta Padova side, on the other three there aren't, sometimes you have to walk along an unpavemented main road.

The castle also serves as a hotel, featuring traditional restaurants, landscaped gardens, and sixteen event halls furnished with period pieces.
What a wonderful stay for us, a family of 4! The hotel/castle team was fantastic and the castle is in an amazing shape and location. Food was deliciosos, rooms fun and super comfy, spa was beyond amazing and the gym too, little bit just what you need! We enjoyed a Sunday Easter brunch, full of local families. Spending two nights at Castello Bevilacqua was like stepping into a fairytale. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the timeless beauty and quiet grandeur of the castle. Every corner of the property tells a story — rich with history, charm, and romance. Our room was simply breathtaking: spacious, tastefully furnished with period details, and complete with modern comforts. The views of the castle grounds and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like our own private retreat. The staff were outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making our stay special. Every request was met with a smile and handled with care. Now, the highlight of our stay: the incredible dinner. Dining at the castle was an unforgettable experience. Each course was a work of art, both in presentation and flavor. The dishes celebrated Italian culinary traditions with refined creativity, using fresh, local ingredients. The wine pairings were flawless and thoughtfully selected. Castello Bevilacqua is more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to feel, to experience, and to remember. We left with full hearts and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking romance, history, and true Italian hospitality.

I don’t usually write reviews as a wedding planner and event partner, but this is an exception I’m truly happy to make. Castello Bevilacqua is not only a beautifully maintained venue with timeless charm, but it is also managed with the utmost professionalism by its owners. A special thank you to Andrea and the entire team for overseeing both the welcome events and the wedding itself flawlessly, consistently going above and beyond expectations. Working proactively, showing incredible attention to detail, always being available and flexible, and doing it all with a smile—these qualities, unfortunately, are rare to find. Congratulations to the whole team, and please keep up the outstanding work!

We just had our wedding weekend at Castello Bevilacqua, and it was truly exceptional. Every detail exceeded our expectations, and our friends and family are still raving about the entire experience. It was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we began planning, Andrea—our wedding coordinator and a member of the family who owns the castle—was simply incredible. As English speakers living in Canada, we were understandably nervous about planning a destination wedding in Italy. But Andrea put us at ease right away. He was kind, genuine, and consistently attentive, patiently answering all of our questions and making us feel completely reassured in our decision. He never once made us feel like we were being sold anything. Every cost was explained clearly, there were no hidden fees, and the value we received was truly outstanding. Andrea clearly cares deeply about every couple who walks through the castle doors, and that sincerity shines through in everything he does. When we arrived in Italy and saw Castello Bevilacqua in person for the first time, we were completely blown away. The photos don’t do it justice. The castle is breathtaking—truly something out of a fairytale. It’s rich in history, beautifully maintained, and filled with stunning antiques and architectural details that add so much character. At night, with the lights hanging across the courtyard, it became something straight out of a dream. We also stayed overnight at the castle, and the rooms were absolutely spectacular. Each one was unique and full of character—like stepping into a piece of living history. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was grand and luxurious, and every detail felt intentional and elegant. It truly felt like sleeping in a museum—but with every comfort you could ask for. Our guests were equally amazed by the rooms, and said it was the most beautiful and memorable place they had ever stayed. The food was another unforgettable highlight. Our guests are still raving about the appetizers, which were both creative and delicious, and the four-course meal that followed was absolutely phenomenal. Every single dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and served with care. The dessert was equally impressive—people are still telling us how flavourful and delicious the cakes were! From start to finish, the culinary experience was a 10/10. Beyond the setting and the food, it’s the overall experience that made our wedding so special. Andrea and the entire team at Castello Bevilacqua made us feel like family. There was a real sense of hospitality, warmth, and pride in everything they did. Every little detail was thoughtfully handled, and we felt so taken care of the entire weekend. If you’re considering this venue for your wedding, we truly hope this review helps you feel confident in your decision. We can honestly say it was the best choice we made. Our wedding at Castello Bevilacqua was the most beautiful, emotional, joyful experience of our lives—and it’s a story that we and our guests will carry with us forever. Thank you, Andrea, and the entire team at Castello Bevilacqua. You gave us a wedding we will never forget.

The fact is that the tigelle arrived and there was no cold cuts, the cold cuts arrived and there were no tigelle, we always had to ask to bring something and when we asked that there was clearly no food they seemed amazed, so the service left something to be desired, Fair enough value for money, then as I always say what you spend always depends on what you drink, what leaves me a little perplexed is that since it was a dinner already organized for a birthday where there were only us in the restaurant that evening ( about twenty people with menus already decided) we waited so long I don't want to think even when there are other people. Let's say that a bad evening can happen to anyone so seeing is believing. However, the restaurant also has a large, very convenient car park.

(Translated by Google) Excellent pizzeria restaurant. Great variety of pizzas with good dough and good, plentiful toppings. The restaurant menu is not very extensive but it still has a decent selection of dishes and they are also good with very good raw materials. Decent variety of beers for not being a pub, and also served at the correct temperature. Good prices. Very friendly staff, even with the dog and simple but nice and welcoming place. (Original) Ottima pizzeria ristorante.
