Knuthenborg Safaripark is located in a lush area near the town of Maribo in Denmark and is considered one of the largest safari parks in Northern Europe. In this park, visitors can drive their own vehicles along designated routes through open and natural landscapes, getting up close to wild animals such as giraffes, tigers, rhinos, Arctic wolves, and many more. The natural and open setting allows animals to live in an environment similar to their native habitats, offering visitors a more authentic and immersive wildlife experience. In addition to the safari section, the park offers a variety of attractions for families, including a large playground, forest walking trails, and educational exhibits about the environment and animals. There are also accommodations within the park, allowing guests to stay overnight surrounded by nature and enjoy a unique and memorable experience. The park is designed to provide a peaceful and pleasant environment for both day trips and extended stays.

Would have rated it with more stars but the new experience of seeing tigers and lions is not good. There is very less chance of seeing those animals. Not from the bridge nor from the panoramic window. The good parts are the dinosaur forest experience and the 2 roller coasters for the thrill.

Hopefully this review can help the park make some improvements. The plus side is that you are able to get quite close to the animals and see savanna wildlife in a beautiful setting. The down sides are worth keeping in mind should you plan a family trip there. We stayed there overnight for a quite substantial amount of money for 2 adults and one 7 year old - approx 900 euros. Barely any staff available in the park. Poor directions and signage to drive around. Would be helpful to get a recommended order for the visit. And more info on the animals. In the tent, you are expected to wash, dry and put away your dishes with the threat of a 60 euro fine should you miss doing that. Empty your trash. Put on and take away your bed linen just to mention a few things that you would expect to be included when paying that much for 1 night. The food we ordered to prepare in the tent was bland. Compared to skanes djurpark in Sweden I would say you get much less for your money. I wrote a review for that too so anyone can check it out. It’s a pity because it’s such a beautiful sanctuary.

We’ve been to the park a few times and it never lets us down. The park is massive and there’s lots to see and discover. You can bring your own food or eat at the various points in the park dedicated to it, apart from the animals that stroll freely on huge terrains there’s also a big kiddy’s park at the bottom that if you go at the designated hours there’s a small rollercoaster and the water log ride included in the entrance price( that if you buy it online you save 30% off the price ) . Very recommended.

Great place. Kind and service minded staff. We rented a cabin for 4 days. Bring food whit you, if you rent a cabin. There are many picknic tables around the park. So you can bring food whit you on a daily trip also. If you rent a cabin gate close at 17:00 and you can't drive in or out. But you can walk around the park and some hours drive around. Great place for family. We was here in end of season.(October) a little cold, but it's was okey.

It’s a like in the wild experience. It’s really a big park so you’ll need to have your car to go around and see the animals, there are also places you can walk to see other animals. Better start the tour in the morning if you’re planning for just a day trip but they also offer accommodation for families. There’s also different activities for kids. 🫶🏻💕

Absolutely fantastic experience. The animals roam free and there are plenty to see. For me the highlight was the dinosaur museum! With a collection of real bones from the biggest dinosaurs, you get to feel small next to these huge creatures. Would highly recommend. And remember to buy tickets online

An excellent park although off to a skeptical start when I saw the first ride we went on had a member of staff on to "pull the brake". Lots of rides to suit all with a fair number of "tummy turners". Queues were small and the facilities such as food and toilets were at a good standard. We used the Copenhagen card to get in but you need to pay extra for the rides. Was quite cold when we were there so dress appropriately. The teenage kids enjoyed it so that's a thumbs up !

Absolutely fantastic at Christmas! So beautiful love the trees the rides and all the shops. It’s expensive to visit at £28 per person but you can go in the day and get a re entry stamp And come back in the evening to see it all lit up. Also I saw families who took a picnic with them. This is a great idea as it’s a beautiful place to have a picnic and a glass of wine in the gardens. The lake is stunning at night. It gets very busy.

Its ok. If you're into food? Then great there's a lot of restaurants. There's only one roller-coaster and a few other attractions. Its expensive especially since all we wanted to do was look at the Christmas decorations. It looks amazing at night all lit up but still not worth $30 dollars.

Visited mid November, weather was pleasant during the hours of 5pm-8pm Fair amount of people about but not crowded and easy to navigate. Christmas themed throughout giving it that magic touch for this time of season. Much like the rest of Copenhagen nothing is cheap and being at the theme park its most likely a little bit more

Tivoli Gardens was at the very top of my list when we visited Copenhagen; and it honestly exceeded every expectation. We visited in early September during the Flower Festival and the whole place felt absolutely beautiful with bursts of colour everywhere. Tivoli first opened in 1843 which is wild to think about, and you can really feel that old world charm as soon as you walk in. There’s a lovely little story that Walt Disney visited Tivoli and was so inspired by its atmosphere and attention to detail that it helped inspire Disneyland; when you’re inside, that makes complete sense. We ended up spending nearly the entire day here; wandering through the gardens, listening to jazz bands play, popping into the little Christmas shops (yes, even in September), admiring the flower competition winners and going on a few of the rides. At one point I turned to my husband and said, “I feel like a kid again.” There was something so nostalgic and joyful about it, like stepping back into the magic of childhood. There are plenty of places to eat inside Tivoli depending on what you feel like; everything from quick bites and coffee to full sit down restaurants and even the beautiful Nimb Hotel right in the middle of it all. The food court is great if you want something casual and fast before exploring more. I also loved how different the park feels as the day turns into evening; during the day it’s lush and garden like, and then at night all the twinkle lights come on and it feels dreamy and romantic. Tivoli is open in different seasons throughout the year including Halloween and Christmas; I heard that November and December are extra special because Tivoli transforms into a Christmas wonderland with decorations, lights, markets and a completely different festive atmosphere. I would honestly love to go back in December just to experience that version of the park. Opening hours change depending on the season but it stays open late enough that you don’t need to rush. My biggest tip is to give yourself enough time. This isn’t the kind of place you speed through; it’s somewhere you stroll, snack, listen to music, ride the rides and just enjoy being there. Tivoli was one of the most memorable experiences of our Copenhagen trip; if you’re visiting the city, this is a must. It’s truly one of those rare places that makes you feel happy, light and a little bit enchanted.

Excellent theme park. We visited as decorated and themed for Christmas Was surprisingly a lot better than anticipated. Prices for ultimate tickets purchased on Get your Guide . Around £45 each . Great value. Lots to see and do. Food prices are similar to those around the city

This is one of the oldest amusement park in the world but it is well maintained. All the decoration and pop up events are to the point. Well decorated for the Halloween 🎃! ++ point: the food at the foodcourt is very tasty and wide range of selection.

Totally worth the visit! It has a very cool architecture spiraling all the way to the top, ending with a rooftop deck, amazing views and also an observatory. It has some art installations inside too.

The round tower is a must see if you visit Copenhagen! It is Europe’s oldest observatory building and it offers breathtaking views of the city. There is an art gallery on one of the floors which has some interesting pieces

Great attraction right in the city center. The ticket costs around €8. The climb is easy, with very few steps, and the views from the top are beautiful — you can see the entire city from above. There’s also a small museum and a small art exhibition inside. I didn’t visit many attractions in Copenhagen, but I’m glad I visited this one.

Not to be missed. The line was short (on a late Saturday morning). Built under the direction of Danish monarch Christian IV between 1637 and 1642, this impressive tower offers stunning views of the København skyline along with the Øresund Bridge and Sweden in the distance. There are stairs only at the top; the sloping ascent made it possible for Christian IV to view his realm while riding in his carriage.

Beautiful building and it was awesome that the tower's path is the slope so it was such a nice way to travel up and down the building, I love it! Fantastic view of the city skyline at the top with a cool astronomy tower within ☀️🌙⭐🔭 There are bathrooms, shop, and gallery half way up the path. You can find a little details about the building and a replica look like it made from cork. Also an art gallery at the shop. The old bathroom was very small and interesting 😁 The final path way up the Round tower is a narrow tight space stairs so you have to wait for the lights to go up and come back down as there is only enough space for a one way traffic. It took up about an hour to get up, look around, and come back out. Definitely a recommendation of things to do in Copenhagen!

A nice walk up the round tower! Not staircases, just a walkway like walking or driving up a multi-story parking. 😃 lovely 360 views at the top if the weather permits. Lucky when we went it was dry and sunny so it was just perfect!

Rosenborg Castle is a historic site in central Copenhagen, best known for housing the Danish Crown Jewels and Royal Regalia. The rooms are well-preserved and give a good overview of Denmark’s royal history. The Treasury in the basement is a highlight. The surrounding King’s Garden is open to the public and great for a walk. Worth a visit if you're interested in history or culture. Buy tickets in advance to avoid lines.

Rosenborg Castle is a wonderful place to visit: full of history, charm, and beautifully preserved treasures. The interiors and royal collections are fascinating. However, the exhibition lighting could be improved, as some areas were quite dim and it was difficult to see certain displays clearly. Overall, still a great experience and definitely worth visiting!

Well truely a marvel of the history. Absolutely loved the aura of the castle and its surroundings. There is big park and lake in front of the castle. It is easy to get to the place, thanks to the well connected public transport systems. The architecture of the castle is something that is worth mentioning. I would recommend to read and learn about the history of the palace before visiting it so that you can just relive the past and get a feel of the same. If you are planning to go in a weekend, be prepared to wait for sometime as there would be rush.

Not wheel chair accessible. My first ever Royal Castle. Be prepared for low light conditions. The history is right up and close as I have ever been in a museum setting. So respect the access. I loved looking at all the fine quality work completed by the period artisans and amazing quality especially all the inlay works in wood, tile & gems. Stunning if you live feeling the history. The Royal Treasury is exceptional and shows what was valued and when. Even in October when I went the Gardens were blooming.

Beautiful and well-kept heritage. I tried to visit the day after the Copenhagen half-marathon, but I didn't have time to get tickets online so that I couldn't get inside. I recommend buying tickets in advance. However, upon walking around, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful castles I have seen recently, compared to what I saw in England.

Cool old castle. Lots of history. Some interesting stuff that you don't normally see in a castle like a farting chair and a king's toilet. This is like the old and more castle-ish version of Danish aristocratic housing. For the real palace feel of the monarchy visit Christiansborg Palace. The royal family actually live in nearby Amelienborg.

Beautiful site and an easy walk from the waterfront. You can also peek at the King’s Gardens out back — immaculately kept, of course. The day pass is worth it for convenient access to the castle. Free lockers are a nice touch, and the guards with bayonets add a bit of royal drama. Inside, the halls are filled with art and artifacts — the grand hall with the thrones and lion statues is a standout. Don’t miss the Crown Jewels in the walk-in vault downstairs, complete with a step ladder for the perfect view. A truly regal visit, well worth the stop.

A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.

Nice view to take pictures. Both side of the canal has dozens of shops to hang out and buy souvenirs. All are expensive then what is priced outside of this zone. There is a big obnoxious ship in the canal and it is hard to take a nice reflective photo with the colorful buildings. That is why I personally like the one in Trondheim Norway.

Lively waterfront with many restaurants! I love the atmosphere but it was very crowded at the same time. We had a Thai food at Charm restaurant close by for dinner and the ice cream for dessert just across the road from Vaffelbageren Nyhavn. It's definitely a lovely place to walk around and soak up the vibe!

It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

If you want to see only one place in Copenhagen, it should be definitely Nyhavn. Fabulous and lovely! Full of nice and cozy cafe and restaurant around it.

Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.

Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.

The Little Mermaid bronze statue, located in Copenhagen, sits on a granite rock, on the water side of langeline promenade. It is 4.1 ft tall and weighs 175 kgs. The Statue was based on the fairy tale of Hans Christian Anderson and was unveiled to the public in 1913. However, it has now become a target for defacement, due to uncaring attitude of some people, despite attracting those tourist and visitors, who are smitten fairy tale lovers, ofcourse that includes me. I loved her quiet gaze, an unassuming sureness of her existence to continue.

I visited the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen around dusk since it gets dark early this time of year. It wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to take pictures. There were no tickets or anything like that, you just walk up to it. The statue itself was nice to see in person, though it felt a bit simple to me. Still, it was a fun stop and worth seeing while in the city.

it’s a very beautiful and symbolic statue as the sea wraps around it. around the mermaid there’s also a very nice park with amazing statues and church! there are a lot of people coming there for pictures so be prepared if you come in the afternoon!

Free activity - a little underwhelming to be honest, it’s also quite far out to the north of the city. If you on a tight schedule probably better to skip but if you have plenty of time & love the Hans Christian Andersen stories then pop past for a photo - there are actually some beautiful sights near the little mermaid which you can enjoy

It spans nearly 8 kilometers over the Øresund Strait before descending into the 4-kilometer Drogden Tunnel. Its sleek pylons and elegant symmetry embody Nordic minimalism and functionality. Visiting offers breathtaking sea views and a tangible sense of crossing between nations and cultures.

The Øresund Bridge is an impressive feat of engineering, seamlessly connecting Denmark and Sweden with stunning views over the strait. It’s not cheap to cross by car, but the convenience and beauty make it worthwhile. A must-see landmark for travelers in the region.

Very neat, we crossed coming back to Copenhagen from Malmo. We even stopped to take some better pictures on the Sweden side.

I took a train from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö, Sweden, and it couldn’t have been easier! The train crosses the Øresund Bridge, which connects Denmark and Sweden — the ride itself is smooth and takes only about 30 minutes. There are helpful staff at CPH Airport who guide you on how to buy tickets or use the kiosks, so it’s very traveler-friendly. I went to Malmo, Sweden mainly to visit the Apple Store for a battery replacement (since Copenhagen doesn’t have an official Apple Store, only authorized resellers). The trip was quick, convenient, and a nice little cross-border experience —Highly recommend it if you’re in Copenhagen, have a few hours to kill, and your iPhone decides it needs a little Swedish vacation for battery therapy. 🇸🇪🔋😄

Øresund bridge is a stunning feat of engineering. God attempted to keep the Danes and Swedes apart when he created the Øresund, but the unbreakable spirit of man prevailed to keep the two nations connected in a unique and inspiring way. Today the bridge carries both road and rail passengers, allowing those who own or do not own cars to make this once perilous journey in an easy and convenient fashion. I took my bike on the train to cycle in Sweden from Malmö up to Helsingborg before taking the ferry back over to the homeland of the cinnamon roll. The journey was quick, easy, and convenient. I could've easily been on the Elizabeth line or any other form of easily accessible rail in the UK or across Europe. Isambard Kindom Brunel would be proud of such a feat of engineering. I'm sure his modern contemporaries are.

Travelling under Øresund Bridge via train was an incredible experience! The fact you can see out to sea and see as the lands of Denmark 🇩🇰 fade away and Sweden 🇸🇪 appear was a beautiful moment. When travelling from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 or England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to France 🇫🇷, these types of crossings by train are usually underground so it was particularly special to see this!

The most beautiful castle i have ever seen, no doubt. We got lucky as well to be able to hear the oldest working organ being played, amazing spectacle, i recommend planning visit according to the schedule of this performance. Wherever you look in this castle there is something beautiful to see. Really amazing and there is a massive beautiful park as well with small coffee shop to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.

Frederiksborg Castle is a grand and beautiful castle located about an hour from Copenhagen 🇩🇰. You can take a train to Hillerød Station, and from there it’s an easy 1 km walk to the castle 🚶‍♂️. Entry fee is 110 DKK per person, and the castle is surrounded by stunning gardens and a peaceful lake that make the whole place truly picturesque 🌿🏰. When we visited, some parts were under renovation, and the museum inside didn’t have much that was interactive. Still, the architecture and royal atmosphere make it a pleasant visit, especially if you love history and photography 📸. If you’re short on time, we’d recommend visiting Kronborg and Rosenborg first, and then Frederiksborg — in that order ⏱️. Each has its own charm, but Kronborg and Rosenborg felt more engaging overall ✨.

Nice place to visit if you are staying in Copenhagen and have half a day extra time! The castle is surrounded by a very beautiful park and a nice lake. The museum also worth visiting, if you are interested in danish history!

Why visit? ✅ If limited on time, tour the grounds for free (no cost). ✅ Regarding the grounds, there are so many different views to enjoy while walking the property: gardens, waterfronts, bridges, courtyards, etc. ✅ The castle interior (admission required) is loaded with artwork, antiques, and rooms that stun with both size and intricate detail. Why skip? Honestly, I can’t think of any reason. If limited on time, at least walk to the grounds to get a good look. If spending a day in town, this is THE attraction to visit.

This is a lovely easy day trip out of Copenhagen. A single 40 minute ride on the E train to Hillerød station then a 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the castle. The castle is huge and rarely crowded, but the vast rooms, artwork, and gardens are gorgeous. Check out the tour times before you visit - we were lucky to arrive just in time for the English language tour and it was superb. The castle is an easy walk from town, but there’s also a small boat which does a lap of the lake and for a small fee takes you to the garden and the far side of the castle.

We knew this place was one of those 'must see' locations on the island of Sjælland and I vaguely remembered going there when I was 12, entry is also included within the Copenhagen Card. We had actually spent the entire day in Copenhagen the day previously and so had always planned to head north the following morning. We were back at Tivoli by the afternoon so definitely recommend this as a day if you've the stamina. Very impressive castle and worth the visit. It would probably have been better a few weeks later when the wee boat on the Slotssøen was running again (too early in the season) but then I imagine you'd want more than just a morning in the area when the weather is warmer too. The bonus was that it was really quiet - you'll see from the photos we were often the only family in these huge and spectacular rooms.

About an hour by train outside of Copenhagen city centre and then 10 minutes walk from Humlebaek station. The ticket can be book online but it was also super easy to buy it on arrival with no queue when we go on Sunday midday. There are a little bit of outdoor sculptures and some indoor gallery. Nice view and some interesting displays. There are 2 gift shops, one on the ground floor and one downstairs. I had a fun train ride.

This museum is a wonderful reason to take a short trip and experience another side of Denmark beyond Copenhagen. It offers a great opportunity to focus on and appreciate the works of talented contemporary artists. The outdoor installations, in particular, blend beautifully with the gardens and surrounding landscape. The number of artworks feels just right—not overwhelming—allowing you to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and relax as you explore, especially on a pleasant day.

Really amazing museum. Large galleries, beautiful outdoor space with ocean views, great 2-story gift shop and restaurant. Plan to spend about 2.5 hours wondering around. Really enjoyed the exhibits and architecture. We bought our tickets online and they were good for one use within one year of the time of purchase. The train ride is about an hour from downtown Copenhagen.

Beautiful museum, really recommend the trip out of the city to visit. Great, easy train journey too with a short walk to the museum which is set in the most fabulous building and grounds. We booked tickets in advance so we didn’t have to queue, which id recommend if you can. Loved the sculpture garden, definitely go on a dry day so you can make the most of the gardens and the views over the water. Wonderful cafe, with space to eat/drink outside in the sun. Great coffee. Beautiful shop with loads of fab design based gifts, art prints, ceramics, books and accessories. Cloakroom space through the back of the shop to store bags and coats in lockers is so useful. A card machine is available for those without local coins to use.

After being to several modern arts meseums I think they are not for my taste.I have to be objective tho. I think the exhibitions were smartly and beautifuly placed. The place itself was clean and not overcrowded. Nice cafe to relax, have a drink or a snack. Beautiful views at the sea while you walk in the garden area.

Visiting the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art was one of the highlights of our Copenhagen trip; it made for such a beautiful day out of the city. The museum is located in Humlebæk, about 35–40 minutes north of Copenhagen. We took the train and the journey was quick, scenic and very comfortable; once you arrive it’s only a short 10 walk from the station to the entrance ( just follow the crowd) The museum first opened in 1958 and was created with the vision of making modern art accessible in a place where people could experience it alongside nature rather than in a formal or intimidating setting. The architecture is stunning! Designed by Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert, and the layout feels thoughtful and calm. There are long corridors of glass, open courtyards, natural light everywhere and pathways that lead you between indoor gallery spaces and the outdoors. It’s the kind of building where you notice something beautiful around every corner. The museum is known for showcasing both international and Danish modern and contemporary artists. They have an incredible permanent collection, and new exhibitions are rotated throughout the year so there is always something fresh to experience. The sculpture garden overlooking the sea might have been my favourite part; walking through the garden with large scale artworks and hearing the ocean just behind them felt very special. Inside there are two places to eat: one café outdoors along the sculpture garden path, and one beautiful indoor restaurant with large windows facing the ocean. We stopped at the restaurant and enjoyed a glass of wine and something delicious to eat while looking out over the coastline; such a peaceful moment in the middle of exploring. There is also a fantastic gift shop filled with design pieces, prints, books and souvenirs. Perfect if you want to take something home to remember your visit. This museum is big; we spent nearly the entire day there and I’m glad we didn’t rush. We took our time walking through the exhibitions, stopping for breaks, sitting outside, and exploring the gardens. It is absolutely the kind of place where slowing down makes the experience even better. Entry tickets cost 145 DKK for adults, with students holding a valid student card paying 125 DKK. Children and young adults under 18 have free entry. We bought our tickets on arrival and there was no wait at all, which made our visit feel relaxed from the start. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 to 22:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00; the museum is closed on Mondays. I imagine summer weekends are the busiest, so if you prefer a quieter experience, weekdays are probably ideal. A quote that came to mind while wandering around was “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” It felt fitting, because this place truly lifts something inside you. If you are visiting Copenhagen and want a day where art, architecture and nature come together beautifully, I highly recommend coming here. It’s calming, inspiring and incredibly memorable; I would happily return again.

Lovely museum situated in a gorgeous place looking out on the ocean and Sweden. Loved some of the art, hated some of the art - the perfect modern art experience. The grounds were fun to explore and linked together with the sculptures and exhibition wings beautifully. Amazing shop as well, I wish I had more money as I would happily take most of it home

A beautiful old cathedral built around the 1100s. As with cathedrals back then, there is a crypt where kings and other important people were buried. Another really cool antique is the astrological clock that still works. Amazing place and it is definitely a must visit when in Lund.

Lund Cathedral isn’t just a place of worship — it’s a cathedral wrapped in Swedish legend, myth, and medieval wonder. Every day at noon and 3 p.m., you can watch it come to life as the Three Wise Men process before a mechanical Virgin Mary and baby Jesus, while medieval music plays. It’s like stepping straight into a fairy tale. Even if you’re not religious, the deep sense of Nordic lore, mystery, and ancient craftsmanship make this one of the most memorable cathedrals in all of Scandinavia. A must-visit for lovers of legends and the mystical past.

Very historical church , must visit and it’s near to malmo. It’s built in year 1100 and architecture is very beautiful. There is no entry ticket for this church. Usually there is lot of weddings happen in this church and some times it can be closed for visitors. There is paid parking available nearby. Lot of restaurants also nearby.

A very serene place, It is beautiful cathedral built around the 1100s. It was worth the visit for the beautiful stained glass windows and the silence. the offerings of burring the candle was satisfying

It's a magnificent ancient church that has retained its genius loci. There is an astronomical clock inside which shows not just time but also date and zodiac sign and it chimes, with moving marionettes, at noon. And this is followed by a short prayer and Bible reading, which I very much appreciated. The bookstore across the church yard is also very much worth visiting.

I really liked it. For a 1000-year-old cathedral, it's very well-preserved. Don't miss the basement, there's a very interesting crypt there.

Kronborg Castle is one of the most impressive and atmospheric places I visited in Denmark. Overlooking the Øresund Strait, this UNESCO World Heritage site is not only visually stunning, but also packed with history and character. Known worldwide as “Hamlet’s Castle,” it fully lives up to its fame. The rooms and royal chambers are beautifully preserved, giving you a real sense of the grandeur of the Danish monarchy in the Renaissance era. But the highlight for me was exploring the dark, eerie casemates — the old military barracks beneath the castle. Walking through those damp, stone tunnels really brings the past to life. You can almost feel the presence of the soldiers who once took shelter there. And then there's Holger Danske, the legendary statue deep in the basement. According to Danish folklore, this mythical warrior sleeps under Kronborg Castle and will rise to defend Denmark in her time of need. Seeing the statue in the dim light down there added a magical, almost mythological touch to the whole experience. If you're into history, legends, or just want to explore a magnificent fortress with great views and an unforgettable atmosphere, Kronborg is absolutely worth the visit. Take your time — there’s a lot to discover.

What an experience! One of the most interesting castle I have ever visited. There many things to see during your visit there make sure to be on time so you don't miss anything. The underneath area was very spooky and adventurous!

Visiting Kronborg Castle was such a wonderful way to start our week in Denmark; we went on a Monday (during shoulder season) and it set the tone beautifully for our week ahead. The castle is located in the quaint town of Helsingør, about 45 minutes by train from central Copenhagen. The ride is comfortable and scenic, and from the station it’s a short walk into town and up to the castle grounds. We paid about 145 DKK for adult entry, students 125 DKK, and children under 18 were free. Kronborg dates back to the early 1420s when a fortress first stood here; later in the 16th century King Frederick II transformed it into the grand Renaissance castle you see today. The setting is dramatic: right at the narrowest point of the Øresund Strait, looking across toward Sweden, which explains its historic importance. The connection to William Shakespeare’s Hamlet adds a layer of legend and story: this very site inspired the “Elsinore” of the play. “To be, or not to be” seems almost to float in the air when you walk the corridors. We spent a few hours exploring and I’m so glad we didn’t rush; We enjoyed the whole castle, then ventured down into the crypts beneath the castle which felt a bit eerie, then examined the great halls, ramparts, the chapel and the sweeping views over the water. There’s a nice café inside and the gift shop nearby is well worth a browse and I found some beautiful keepsakes to take home. The town of Helsingør is charming, with historic buildings, small cafés and the sea at its doorstep; combining lunch in the town centre with our castle visit made for a really nice day out of the city. One important note: accessibility is limited; the castle has many stairs and no elevator, so it’s not ideal for wheelchairs. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 until 16:00 in the off-peak season; the castle is closed on Mondays. During spring and summer months the hours are extended and on major holidays special times apply, so it’s worth checking ahead. Summer weekends in particular can get busier; if you prefer quieter exploring aim for a weekday morning. If you’re in Copenhagen and craving a day trip with history, drama and stunning scenery, I highly recommend Kronborg Castle.

Few things you can say about Kronborg Castle other than incredible. There’s so much to see, experience, and learn here — the amount of history within these walls is astounding. The preservation work is truly impressive, allowing visitors to step back in time and appreciate this remarkable piece of Denmark’s heritage. I had an amazing time touring the castle and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Kronborg is wonderful and easy day trip from Copenhagen on the train. It exceeded all expectations. The castle is gorgeous. The exhibits are fantastically interactive and engaging. The Hamlet characters coming to life was a highlight. The views of the sea are incredible. Also, great town to explore ..

Fine sand beach with a beautiful view. Perfect beach for family with kids which means it can get really crowded on a warm summer day. There are restaurants close by and public toilets too.

Very nice white sand beach! Great for long walks bathe with some algae in the sea! You will get a foul smell in the morning due to see weed and algae floating to shore. Very well maintained beach 🏖️ with plenty of free parking, toilets and restaurants nearby. Its best on the Sunny days as there isn’t so much wind due to bushes and sand piles on the end of shore. If you have a good company or looking for a solace then this beach is apt! Enjoy

Nice beach in Halmstad. The water is very quiet and clean. It is a four-kilometre-long beach. It has been named Sweden’s best beach time and time again. You can even enjoy a walk and find Tjuvahålan and Svärjarehålan. The two bays have a small beach, rocks and a jetty – perfect for a nice walk with friends and family.

We came here a day when the forecast promised rain but the sun was shining so we were pretty much alone. Amazingly wide sand beach with a lot of space for many guests. Pretty shallow water, great for the kids. Some kiosks around for Icecream and snacks.

Interesting and extensive museum, gives great insight in the becoming of Karlskrona. The submarine is most impressive, although all the other exhibitions were also created with great care. One minor problem was that not all the signage was always available in English, or maybe only one sentence was while the Swedish text was very extensive. Google Translate solved this, but that could be improved for foreign visitors.

While not a huge museum, it has some great exhibits, not least a very large naval submarine you can go inside and walk about in. There is a theatre that shows a very well presented film on the timeline of the Swedish navy. All the exhibits are displayed well and have English explanations alongside those in Swedish. The information is not verbose, which is a mistake often made by museums I've been too. The museum has an excellent restaurant which rounds off a really enjoyable experience overall !

Most beautifull museum for marine, I've seen. Being able to visit a real U-boot on the inside completly, just gives you much more feeling with the history and live in the marine. Also the lunch buffet in the museum is good quality.

A lovely couple of hours entertainment. Lots of bits that both kids and adults can enjoy like the nuclear submarine you can go on - do expect queues in busier periods. Really nicely weaved in overarching narratives with rich personal stories and events such as the Polish submariners who fled to Sweden in WW2 and Swedish conscripts experiences of the cold war. For an Englishman a fascinating way to learn more about Sweden's evolution through regional power, to superpower, to the softpower and cultural force you see today.

Very interesting museum offering informal text in various languages. It is a very interactive museum aswell with educational games so you easier can learn about for example submarines and how they work. You can enter a submarine aswell and see how they lived in there and more. There is also a buffet restaurant at the entrance if you want a quick bite before or after your visit.

I’ve been visiting the Blekinge region for years, and I must confess that this museum surprised me very positively with its accurate exhibitions and attention to detail. It transports you back in time and offers a magnified view beneath the surface of Karlskrona’s naval mastery. The museum doesn’t earn a full five stars because the bistro offers only limited and rather bland plant-based options, while most Swedish classic meals served are centered around meat and fried fish. Moreover, I felt the museum’s exhibitions tended to present Sweden’s naval and military history in a way that passively promotes war. Despite being a civilian institution, the displays often focus on military achievements and hardware without encouraging deeper reflection on the consequences or ethical complexities of conflict. I would have appreciated a more critical perspective that invites visitors to consider the broader impacts of war, rather than treating it as an inevitable or unproblematic part of national history.

Don't miss the castle if visiting Kalmar! The mummy exhibition is both interesting and fascinating at the same time. Make sure to set aside a half day if you want to go through the castle & mummy exhibition the same day. Comfortable shoes, you will be stepping stones for hours. The park outside the castle is very nice to relax in. You can find rare trees and flowers planted there, each with a little sign of name and year it was planted. Some are very old.

This was our second visit, and we loved it again. They have fun stuff for kids to do, and the castle itself is interesting to explore. The food in the café is good and reasonably priced. The staff all speak English and many seemed to speak German as well (and Swedish, obviously).

Beautiful castle but no way worth the entrance fee. Perhaps if you want the 'included' guided tour or you have small kids to take on the challenges, or you really want to see a random Egyptian exhibition it might be worth the money, but if you want a self guided tour and learn about the history of the castle yourself it's not worth the fee. Recommendation - charge a more reasonable base entrance fee then people extra if they want a guided tour or to enter the Egyptian exhibition.

Liked: - Even though it is largely reconstructed, its exteriors are a view. - Their guided tours are nice, even if not the best. - Kids can enjoy at least for 3-4h, so it is a plus. Lacked: - A comprehensive timeline chart like the one in Borgholm slot. - A clear and chronological understanding of the exhibition of Kalmar slott history.

The castle was really fascinating. The souvenir shop was also very interesting but a bit pricey. Recommend visiting!

If you know some of the Astrid Lindgren stories it's lovely to walk around and see all the small worlds built up. Many play areas for kids, lots of food options, green areas where you can sit and relax or have picnic. The theatre shows are wonderful, good length, well done and fun, our soon to be 5year old loved them. We felt satisfied after almost 4 hours in the park but I know a lot of people stay a whole day or even two days. We had a dog with us, they're allowed but not everywhere inside buildings and so on.

We really enjoyed our visit with our 6-year old kid. After the first day, we even upgraded to a second day (which gives a bit of a discount) to really explore everything the park has to offer. The theaters were very well and professionally done and our kid watched almost all of them, even if not understanding Swedish. It was great that actors stay around between shows, giving live to the whole scenery, which can also be freely explored. The only downside of the park is the food, which had a quite limited choice and the price/quality wasn't perfect. But overall, we definitely enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and liked the park!

Lovely place but it’s just too expensive and to be honest the whole experience was moderate simply due to both tickets and things in the park being a rip off. For marginally more we could have got 7-10 days in the Mediterranean which to be honest I’d prefer. Shame with the greedconomy…

Worth the money! High quality shows, with an incredible ensamble, giving their all, despite the summer heat. Interacting with the children after every show! They also used real animals in some of their shows, a horse in Pippi and a real hen in Emil (seemed happy and the horse was in the ahade eating treats). Lots of places to eat, with vegetarian options, toilets were very clean. Several places to refill water bottles and no problem finding shade on hot summer days. Also a little petting zoo, with goats and their babies, at the "Leklandan". No wait at the entrance, we were there 3 minutes after opening. About 6-7 min traffic queue. I recommend going 15-20 min minutes before opening if you want to be on time.

What a great experience! It's like an open-air musical / theatre festival with several short shows from the most famous Astrid Lindgren books and characters. You can move from stage to stage and dive into Katthult, Villa Villekulla, Mattisborgen to see the performances, take a look behind the stages and interact with the actors between the plays. It seems that everyone loves their jobs here and likes to create a great experience for the whole family. My favorite were the Ronja Rövardotter performances. The entrance is quite pricy but it is worth the money. The performances are in Swedish but you'll get the story anyway. Pack some snacks and clothes for all weather conditions and spend the whole day here. 😍🏰🏠🌈

Astrid Lindgren's World is incredibly fun for both kids and adults. There’s live entertainment all day, and although the performances are in Swedish, they’re still easy to understand even if you don’t speak the language. A great touch is that after the shows, you can take photos with the actors, which kids absolutely love. You can also walk into the houses and sets used during the performances, making the whole park feel immersive and full of life. Highly recommended!

One of the greatest museums in Sweden. A must for anyone with the even the slightest interest in aviation and military history. Can easily spend an entire day there. Also great fun for kids with lots of activities. And make sure to go on the guided tours and special events when available.

A stop off the beaten path in Swedish winter, took a visit here to learn a bit about their military history while on a visit to Sweden. The Museum is a good size, with tons of planes from different eras. They also had exhibits on life during the Cold War. The gift shop had a good number of souvenirs worth exploring and the cafeteria served locally sourced food, which was delicious. If you are in Stockholm or around this area and are looking for something to do, then I’d definitely recommend this.

Spent a really nice afternoon with my husband and our 16 year old son. Lots to see, very clean, well signed in both Swedish and English. We could hastened a bit longer, but although it was air-conditioned, it was still a bit warm. It would have been nice with a few water fountains. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our visit, lots to do for all ages!

My biggest gripe is that the English versions for the texts are technically available, but much more cumbersome to read on your phone after scanning QR codes. Also, the exhibition is a bit smaller and especially more disorganized than I would have thought. Otherwise, the museum is good, but I expected something a little different. I would have expected more technical details about the evolution of planes. On the flipside, there was much more about connecting human stories than I thought, which is also great, just of less interest to me personally.

It is really good for flight and engineering enthusiasts, lot of fun n interesting activities for kids. The display will be a bit boring for kids but there are a lot of activities on the first floor so don't miss it

Spent way more time here than we planned for and decided that we have to come back again to explore more.. Very well set up. Super interesting exhibitions and even a VR about a secret mission that everyone enjoyed. Recommend to book a flight simulator in advance. I missed that part, so it's something to look forward to. One of the best aviation museums I’ve seen. The collection is amazing. There are almost no Soviet planes (only one MiG-15, I think). The whole history of aviation is right there before your eyes — from Farman to Gripen — and that’s really awesome.

700 years old Castle itself on the river, which is perfect for day trip or discovery beautiful cafe down there! We didn’t have time visit inside but, there’s something going on these summer days, if you check programme on their website 👍

The castle is beautiful and I like the surrounding small islands. Exhibition wise its not the best but not bad either, I think its nice that there is information about the castle’s history with some fun facts. We saw the witch exhibition as well which was very well done even tho it was not always based on facts. It had a nice atmosphere!

Örebro castle is very good in outside view. It was really nice from outside. But once you entered to the inside, literally there is nothing to see. They had only few mini models of city, castle which has covered with glasses. Other than that a drawing area for kids and stories of witches who has been in history and was doing black magic. All stories were interested to read but they are stories which no one has proof of anything. I don't think this place deserves more stars as it only good from outside only⭐. But still good place for someone who interests with these witches related stories.

We enjoyed our visit to Orebro Castle. It was much better than we expected. Of course there is plenty of history on the castle and Orebro. But they also had a very well done witches exhibit. The dungeon was very cool. But be prepared for stairs. Swedish and English are both used throughout the castle.

Dear San Franciscan, Welcome to Sweden. This is one of the drop off and pick up site for us when we are in Örebro. This is a small castle. We arrived around 5pm and must leave by 7pm. So, we only utilized this town to get dinner nearby. We went inside the castle, but it was closed and there was not lots to observe. I noticed there’s an increase of smokers in this town.

We had a wonderful time here at Kolmarden Zoo. Lots of extra experiences. We did the private giraffe 🦒 feeding. The roller coasters and rides was a big hit with the kids and adults 😎 Dolphin 🐬 show was great. Tigers 🐅 had cubs playing with mom and dad. Red panda, the list is long. Lots of fun was had by all . Enjoy 👌

We came here during Halloween and spent two full days. Although our child was too young to enter the haunted houses, there were many fun tunnel- and maze-like setups in the forest. The giant spider and dragon models were great, and the smoke and air effects really added to the atmosphere. We also took the cable car and saw some animals in the areas that weren’t open to the public — it was truly wonderful.

Beautiful park with great attractions for kids, but not tourist-friendly The park has lots of different animals and shows — really great attractions for kids! The grounds are beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the animals and shows are fantastic. Hope, the dolphin show, was amazing and definitely a highlight of our visit. However, I was quite disappointed that everything was only in Swedish — all the signs, guides, and maps. It was not easy to find the different locations, especially since the park is huge and the signs only show distances, not directions. There was no printed daily program available either. They said you could find it online, but what if you’re a tourist or don’t have internet access? Even when we did check online, it was not clear what times the shows were or what to expect. Overall, it’s a beautiful park and worth visiting, but I really hope they make it more accessible for international visitors in the future.

Definitely a really really good place just in the nowhere in a spectacular nature, and especially the ”safaribanan” was an amazing experience. Even during the halloween, it was not bad for the small toddlers since it was well organised for the ones who want thrill specifically. Consider purchasing yearly card!

There is no other zoo that offers amazing, very well looked after animals, the worlds tallest wooden rollercoaster and during October, some fantastic Halloween scare mazes! It's an awesome place, very reasonably priced entry ticket (scare mazes Inc in price), stunning scenery, friendly staff & a great atmosphere. I'd recommend a visit if you're considering it

A very beautiful garden and the majority of animals have good space, but not all. I recommend bringing food from home as the places do not have good food. There are plenty of toilets that are very clean.

A wonderful place for children and adults alike. Little ones can playfully discover the laws of physics, learn about the human body and learn through play. The whole design of the place is stunning. And the food in the restaurant was a real culinary experience. I highly recommend it, it is worth spending a long time here

It's an amazing place to take kids to. We visited on a Sunday when there were the least amount of people and there were still plenty of people at every attraction. A pretty good dining area and food is prepared quickly, I'd not recommend the burger, the patty is dry burned and small with not much else in it except a salad leaf and two tomato slices with dressing.

A wonderful experience both for parents and kids. If your kids are on the younger side, this place is so interactive they still love it anyway. For older kids (and parents), it's nice to learn and relearn some physics and science concepts. There's indoor and outdoor areas, 4 floors of different exploration, cafes and eating area aplenty. We will be back for sure There is plenty of parking behind the building, and seems like the turn over is high enough. Easypark app or pay meter on site.

I’ve visited many science centers such as the Exploratorium in San Francisco, Technorama in Switzerland, and the Experimentarium in Copenhagen – and I must say, Tom Tits is definitely among the best ones. What I really love is the DIY, slightly vintage style. Some may see it as outdated, but for me that’s exactly the charm and beauty of this place. The kids and I especially enjoyed the large outdoor area with all its hands-on experiments. The ground floor and 1st floor were also excellent, though we found the 2nd and 3rd floors a bit less exciting. The absolute highlights were the centrifugal force wheel and, of course, the bike on the rope – unforgettable experiences for both kids and adults! Highly recommended for families who love to explore and playfully discover science.

The perfect place for kids! So many experiments, with a nice outdoor area. Absolutely recommend place to come.

Smells like old people in there, if you can stand that fact, there is probably 10 to 12 attractions that are worth your time, that's If you got kids! The backyard has overgrown grass and is barely well kept, that's where the water tricks are. Food is none existing, very poor offerings so you'll need to find a restaurant close to it. Spoiler, there is none. All and all, it's not really worth the price but if you got some cash to burn, go for it. The experiment may been exciting 15 years ago, but even the ones that surprise you are actually long over due, I'm afraid.

Really fun place for kids (and playful adults). It's also a great lunch buffé with desert included. They add and remove some experiments every year so if you haven't been here in a while you will see new stuff. The latest update I've seen is the Mathematics room that replaced the thermal camera room. It was fun as well but I hope they put up the thermal camera somewhere else because that type of equipment is more unusual for kids to see somewhere else. From the autumn holiday week the outdoor section is closed for the winter. Longer opening hours during the summer school holiday is extra good.

I loved the experience. Our guide knew the history of it so well. The story of Fet Mats, Kåre the Goat linger on. The orange gear we wore makes me remember this adventure. I will come again because the museum and miners homes were closed that day.

A can’t miss UNESCO site in Sweden. The guided tour in the mine was well worth it! Friendly for children over 4 .. beware lots of stairs but it was an amazing visit. The museum was also a great informative visit. Lots of great historical information and a inique experience for all.

Very interesting copper mine to visit. We were recommended to come here by our Swedish friends. It is definitely spectacular. Unfortunately we could do the underground tour as we could not get to the 2pm English tour in time. Definitely make sure you find out the tour times in advance and book your space.

Really a magnificent experience and more that that was learning about this historic place, A thousand years of history beneath Sweden’s surface Located in the heart of Sweden, the Falun copper mines were once one of the most important industrial sites in Europe. The mine was active for over a thousand years, from around the 10th century until it finally closed in 1992. ⛏️ A Mine that Shaped a Nation

We did the mine tour and saw the museum. Interesting stuff and going into the mine was a fun experience

We first visited in April 2022 but that was a brief visit(only the mine tour), we merely took a glance at the museum. We were quite impressed even during that short visit, and decided to revisit. Today, we spent an entire day there: - Reached early(0950), and viewed the sites like Creutz shaft, hoist, etc. - Visited the museum, viewed partially but thoroughly. - Lunch at the cafe. We avoided the restaurant this time as the menu didn't suit us but based on our 2022 visit, I would say the restaurant is decent and reliable. - Guided tour in English at 1330. We actually had booked a Swedish tour as the English one at 1200 was full. During our interaction with reception, they informed us that there would be an additional English tour at 1330 due several visitors. - Revisited and covered the remaining part of the museum. - Left around 1600. The museum is the best part, followed by the 1h guided tour. They have taken utmost efforts to provide information on English. The guides and the staff provided some interesting information apart from the tour as well. The kids also enjoyed a lot. Overall, it is a must-visit sight if you are in Sweden even for a brief period.

We loved the trip to the mine! The tour underground is awesome and very interesting even for small children. Our 4 year old loved it, our 7 year old was a bit scared. We had a great time. Lunch was also very nice in the local restaurant. Not crowded at all. The museum is also beautifully decorated with interactive corners.

Amazing restaurant experience with lovely staff and ambience. We had these two ‘snacks’ first, a thin sliced boar on toast (but much more than that) and a cup of goat cheese w berry. The tomato mezze was sublime and the squid with poached egg was my highlight; probably my best squid dish in years. Fun room with kitchen action plus views of the harbor. Excellent photography gallery in a striking coastal location in Stockholm. Located in an excellent architectural conversion of a previous customs building offers some dynamic exhibition spaces. On display at the time were exhibitions by the photographer video and film director Anton Corbijn , international images by Viviane Sassen and mid 20th century photographs by Hans Hammarskiold.

Great museum in an old building, interesting exhibitions. The bistro is excellent! Ate a pulled pork burger and an apple tart, and it was very good quality for a fair price. It has a lounge area, with great photos on rotation on huge screens. Very good ambiance. If I visit Stockholm again, this will be a must!

Fotografiska is such a cool place modern, creative, and full of inspiring exhibitions. The photos are always top-notch, and they rotate often, so there’s something new every visit. The café upstairs has one of the best views in Stockholm (and great food too!). Even if you’re not super into photography, it’s worth going for the atmosphere alone.

Location is good. View from cafe amazing. Phots on first floor I doing amazing, just super cool. Second floor was a bit abstract for me. If your are in Stockholm defiantly put this on the todo list.

Had an hour to kill before jumping a boat back to the motherland, so we decided to kill here. The photos were great and atmosphere fantastic. Highly recommend if you’ve got a couple hours before a ferry. The bar served cold ones.

I was bemused . I expected something fresh , avant- guard but instead was accosted by the tried and true. I was hoping for an elevation but that never happened. There were two works that were impressive, and that I attribute to the skills of the photographers. In essence the body of work rehased seasoned tropes.

Visiting ABBA The Museum was an unforgettable experience! Even if you’re not the biggest fan of the band, the museum’s interactive exhibits make it fun and engaging for everyone. I loved stepping into recreated stage outfits, recording my own ABBA song, and seeing original memorabilia up close. The atmosphere is energetic and joyful, and the staff are welcoming. It feels less like a traditional museum and more like stepping into the world of ABBA. Definitely a must-see if you’re in Stockholm!

One of the BEST museums I’ve ever been to! It could be because I am an ABBA fan and so is my family, but another big reason is that the museum has so many FUN INTERACTIVE elements that there’s no way you ain’t gonna enjoy once you enter. From dancing, singing, designing your own costume, to playing the musical chess, I think this museum is just one of its kind and a MUST MUST MUST visit when in Stockholm!

A fun museum!! I am not one to really enjoy museums and this one was worth the time and cost. The first display I saw was about the show in London with holograms. I never knew that and found it absolutely fascinating what they did! I loved the interactive 5th member of Abba stage, the silent disco, and the fun mirrors and photo taking opportunities. I enjoyed the Mama Mia area explaining the movie. As someone who never saw the movie, I found the information and designs interesting. There is a large section with post Abba music from all the members. I never knew the amount of music the members post group. This is a fun museum and I recommend it to everyone.

So much fun! Tons of original artifacts, storytelling, and interactive exhibits celebrating the music of ABBA. If you love this band’s timeless pop hits (and really, who doesn’t?), you’ll have a blast and learn something to deepen your connection with “Dancing Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and all the rest. Long live ABBA!

For music lovers, this is a Must Go place if you're in Stockholm. In fact, this is probably the main reason why you should make a trip to Stockholm!! A pilgrimage of sorts for us especially the generation that grow up listening to songs with really good melodies. ABBA epitomizes Pop music at a time when folks crosses over to Pop. We'll always be listening to Dancing Queen, Fernando, Mamma Mia, Money Money Money, Thank You for the Music, etc. These are truly evergreens. Although it's rather small in size, you should expect to spend 2 to 3 hours here. It's so nostalgic, capturing and each display will bring you back to the years gone by. Maybe even some tears as you start reminiscing your younger days. Even if ABBA is not up your alley, this is still a must go place if you're into music. Enjoy!!

Awesome experience with an audioguide (using your own smartphone, bring earphones) to tell the story of how the band formed, their inspiration, composition process, and more. There was also a fun, interactive part to sing with the songs from ABBA in a mini studio, a show to perform side by side with them, and a nice bar and restaurant in the entrance. I’d like to have seen more options to purchase in the shop.

One of the best museums I've been to! Such an educational and fun experience. You can read, watch, listen, sing and dance! A lot to enjoy and a lot of cute details. Can recommend!

I didn't think the Vasa was going to leave the mark on me that it did. When I visited, I had a bad back and this museum had plenty of places to stop and rest and take pressure off my back. It's a good 7 floors. You can see almost every angle of the ship. The artwork and carvings on the outside of the ship was amazing to see the extensive detail and expressions. The size of the smallest mast was shocking. It really gave the vision of how large the ship truly is. We enjoyed the painted sculptures to show what they most likely looked like when they were on the ship. The museum took about an hour for us to tour. We didn't do the walking tour and we didn't have a guided tour either. But if you are extensively into history or the full story of the ship, I would recommend it. The gift shop has lots of souvenirs and is worth the stop

The Vasa Museum was a pretty awesome thing to see in Stockholm. The 17th century warship is so well preserved. In fact, it is still an incredible 98% original. There is an auditorium where you can watch a short film about Vasa, which was very helpful and educational. The ship is actually still actively being worked on to preserve it, decades after it was salvaged in the 1960s. If you are a visiting Stockholm for the first time, I highly recommend that you visit this amazing museum.

The Vasa Museum is a very well designed and built museum, with lots of fun facts and information regarding living on the ship, what happened to it, etc. I found it very informative and interesting. And of course, the preserved ship was just amazing. I’d say the price is worth it, we spent somewhere between 2-3 hours here. It was a bit crowded, not gonna lie, but still manageable. If you are visiting Stockholm, you should definitely check out this museum!

A must-visit in Stockholm! The museum is laid out so nicely. Each floor is dedicated to specific “layers” of the ship, so you are learning about something that you can see directly from where you are standing. The bottom floor has very interesting stories about the people on it, as well as DNA research into who they were. We spent an hour here as we arrived close to closing time but easily could have stayed for much longer — wish we had two hours or more!

This was one of the most interesting museums I’ve ever been to. My initial thought was, how much content could there be for a museum about just one boat? Well tons! They found a way to highlight so many aspects of this ship’s short journey. The museum touches on the passengers, the construction, the history and the unfortunate fate of the ship’s maiden voyage among many other aspects. This museum is well worth your time.

The museum was simply amazing. I had never seen or visited anything like it before. It made a strong impression on both me and my boyfriend. Although I’m not particularly interested in ship-related themes, I was very pleasantly surprised. I found it fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable, and two hours passed completely unnoticed. My boyfriend was also deeply impressed and said it is simply the best museum in Stockholm. We visited in the evening, and I think it’s better to come earlier to avoid time constraints. Also, during the day, the interior is probably brighter, which might make the experience even better.

This is an impressive museum. Not only have they built a building around the ship, but many different sections that highlight various aspects of the ship and life on it. The many different texts were informative and luckily not too long. Listening to the audio via qr code is an easy and convenient way to get a feel for the narrative around the ship.

This ws my first open air museum experience. I loved it. There were even people role playing from the era they belonged. The historical walk was an amazing experience. Although all the places wete not open, I could still get to experience few of the attractions. I personally was amazed by the glass making workshop. The zoo on the other side was also a fun experience. The ticket also included access to the match museum. It was worth the money and time. I ended up spending 3+ hours, yet I could not go to all the spots. Children's would love this place no doubt. During summer, this is the best place to come along with family. Online tickets are cheaper then buying on spot.

Loved our visit to Skansen! We went in early November and despite some attractions being shut, we still had a fantastic day. You really need a full days’ visit to see everything. You can walk around and see people dressed up in traditional clothing, some people will also interact with you or answer any questions you might have about their house. We saw the glassblowing and pottery demo and spoke to the nice man in the spice shop who made us feel like we were transported back in time to the 1800s. Don’t miss out on the English-speaking tour that starts by the top of the escalators as the guide takes you to parts of Skansen you don’t get access to on your own. The animals were a real highlight, we also loved seeing the smaller ones in the children’s zoo (bunnies, guinea pigs, mice). The seal talk is in Swedish but they do a demonstration of the keepers feeding the seals and that is also lovely to see. There was a lot to see and not enough time to go to the aquarium on our visit so we didn’t do that. There are some food stalls, a nice sit down restaurant and snacks being sold so we were able to have a lovely lunch inside. We booked our tickets online ahead of our visit.

We had a great time at Skansen. The old houses and farm buildings were fascinating to walk through – each one comes from a different part of Sweden, so you really get a feel for how people lived in the past. Seeing the Nordic animals was another highlight for us; lynx, wolverines, bears, and moose all in one place is pretty special. We visited as two adults, but it’s easy to see how much fun this would be for my kids too, with the animals, open-air history, and hands-on activities. There are also cafés and nice spots to take a break, so you can easily spend most of the day here. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Stockholm.

Skansen Museum is an absolute must-visit in Stockholm! I loved exploring the open-air exhibits and getting a glimpse of how people lived in Sweden centuries ago. The traditional houses, workshops, and beautiful surroundings make the visit feel like stepping back in time. The animals were a lovely bonus, especially in such a well-kept environment. It’s a peaceful and charming place to spend a few hours, with great views and lots to learn. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed Skansen museum. Was great to see local wild animals and different house buildings from Sweden. It would be great if more buildings were open to enter and explore but even without that it was a nice place to walk around. There were few cafes inside and some souvenir shops.

It was one of the best places I have ever been to. We booked the “Morning with animals” experience and it was one of the most interesting things I’ve ever done. The tour guide (shoutout to Martin) was absolutely dedicated to being as helpful as possible and explained everything in perfect English. As for the park, we got to see a lot of local animals and it was magical. The buildings are also stunning and incredibly beautiful, making you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. Would visit every weekend if it were possible.

such an amazing experience!! there is so much to see!! lots of sweeden history, from 1930's and more! they also have a petting zoo, and some Nordic animals. so you get a little of everything, from history, animals and great food!! a full package!! come visit!! loved it.

It was a good place, I would recommend more animals perhaps and more chairs to sit in, I know it was many but since it was so many people sitting we really had hard time finding place to sit, all the games were fun too but honestly the guy who hold the bumping cars was really annoying, didn't let our kid to go in because he was literally short for 2cm only and his dad was going with him anyway, but the same son could go on the roller coasters for big kids, like for real, other than that it was a fun day for tbe kids and had so much fun

We visited on a Sunday in October. The park is amazing for kids, especially if they are above 120 cm and at least 6 years of age. There were practically no lines, so the boys really got a lot of rides for the very reasonable entry price. The Halloween decor was great, especially with all the spooky actors walking around. The accessibility with the train from Uppsala is one of the best things. For 39 SEK Mälartåg takes just over an hour and drops you off at the entrance. So smooth.

Was there to see Alphaville and they were brilliant. There was around 9000 visitors at the park and apparently it is alot. 10-30 min wait times for the rides and kiosks ran out of bottled water fast, only alkohol was left. It is a small park, if you bring your kids prepare a bag with refreshments to avoid the insane lines at kiosks. Parking is free for members, around 90-120kr/day depending on where you park. The traffic jam leaving the park was huge but if common sense is used (seems to be lacking in many cases), it aint that bad.

Visited during Halloween. We had a wonderful day at the park. The decor is perfect, the attractions are themed and sensational, and the costumed staff were friendly and welcoming. Furuvik has a beautiful structure and several attractions. We spent the day at the park, riding several rides, and the lines weren't too long, with acceptable wait times. Plus, it's located across from a train station. Recommended!

Although it is a bit far from Stockholm, it is well connected by train and is convenient to access. The advantage is that there are fewer people, so you can enjoy it without waiting in long lines. It is very well decorated for children and the prices are reasonable. If there's anything I regret, it's Parking lots are collected by the day, not by the hour. Who will park for a day?

It is small compared to other animal theme park in Sweden. But it is still a good place for kids to enjoy. Unfortunately water park was closed since we visited late summer or early fall.

This is truly one of the better family parks I have visited. I was most impressed by the zoo and its rich content. The animals look healthy and well cared for, which is not always the case in all parks of this species. In addition, children can play here in the amusement park, and then swim in the Baltic Sea. There are also several restaurants and bars on offer, so you certainly won't be hungry if you haven't brought food with you. I definitely recommend visiting this place if you are nearby, you will be able to have quality fun all day.

Fantastic village, loads of history and the people in the museum, gift shops and cafes were super helpful

Gammelstad Church Town in Luleå is truly one of the most charming and historically rich places I’ve visited in Sweden. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this well-preserved church town dates back to the 15th century and features over 400 small red wooden houses built around the impressive Nederluleå Church. Walking through the narrow gravel paths feels like stepping into a different era. The peaceful atmosphere, the unique northern Swedish architecture, and the sense of tradition are simply unforgettable. It’s incredible to think that these little cottages were once used by churchgoers who traveled long distances and stayed overnight for Sunday services. The area is exceptionally well maintained, and it’s easy to see how much the locals value and protect this cultural treasure. Whether you visit in the summer under the midnight sun or in the winter when everything is covered in snow, the town has a timeless charm. There are also guided tours, a visitor center, and small local shops that add to the experience. It’s a perfect destination for those who love history, culture, and peaceful surroundings. I highly recommend visiting Gammelstad if you’re anywhere near Luleå. It’s a magical place that stays with you long after you leave.

Good place to visit. Best time to arrive is at 11am when most sites opens. Visitor centre opens at 12am.

Gammelstad Church Town in Luleå, Sweden, is a wonderful place to visit. The old wooden houses and the beautiful 15th-century church are very interesting. Walking around the village feels like going back in time. It's a great spot for anyone who likes history and old buildings. Highly recommended!

Lulea old town is a must for families visiting Lulea. The streets are stunning and there is an open air museum with fun activities for the kids. We had Fika in a nearby small shopping centre before finding the centre of the old town about 1 km away. We had a great time.

Scenic church village. Didn't visit the church because both times we tried there was a funeral taking place (two different funerals). Nevertheless, there were some activities (for families) happening at the open air museum and had the opportunity to see some folklore scenes from Swedish peasant life like bread making, and blacksmith works.

Did a visit during the afternoon and evening. Very beautiful and peaceful to be here. It’s a nice visit for free and there is a lot of information here to read on signs and in a visitors center (with gift shop).

What an unforgettable experience in Abisko with Lights over Lapland! We joined the 4-night Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase and were impressed from the very start. Despite gloomy skies on our first night, the guides’ dedication was remarkable. We drove nearly an hour east and checked multiple spots to find clear skies. It truly reassured us how committed they were to helping everyone see the northern lights. After that, we had 3 amazing nights with different Aurora shows. A huge thank-you to Sara, who went above and beyond: scouting the best viewing spots, helping with camera setups, keeping us warm, and ensuring we enjoyed every moment. Thanks to her, we witnessed a breathtaking Aurora Corona dancing overhead for over 30 minutes, a moment we’ll never forget (staying out well past the end of the tour!). We also loved the morning hike to Lake Torneträsk and the delta with Felix, a 2-hour walk surrounded by breathtaking autumn views. It was both relaxing and enriching. Overall, Lights over Lapland made this an exceptional experience. You might think you can chase the lights on your own, but having expert guides who understand the terrain, weather, and microclimates makes all the difference. Truly the best decision of our trip - highly recommended!

What an absolutely amazing experience! Lights Over Lapland put together a tour package that was incredible. Four nights at the Abisko STF, winter coveralls, cameras, tripods, a guided hike in the Abisko National Park, and a guided chase of Northern Lights each night. Luckily we caught them in all their glory 2 nights and partially 1 night. Our communication with Jeanette and Rachel before and during our trip was excellent. They answered all of our questions promptly and I had many. Our nightly guide, Felix, was so knowledgeable and personable. We really enjoyed his company. Gavin, who led another group, was happy to help with our camera equipment and answer any questions. Sara, a laid back world traveler, took us on a very memorable hike. Her passion for the outdoors was evident. We thank you all for making this bucket list trip one we will always remember fondly.

Felix was our Northern Lights guide — professional, friendly, and passionate. He patiently helped us set up our cameras and shared fascinating knowledge about the aurora. On the last day, it rained in Abisko, but he drove us away from the clouds in search of clear skies. Sara was our hiking guide and led us along a stunning trail where we enjoyed breathtaking lake reflections. She’s also an excellent photographer!

Amazing stay, based at the Tourist Station in the Abisko National Park. Brilliant service by Lights over Lapland with all enquiries, prior and post booking, answered promptly & efficiently by email and use of the app. Info about what to bring, activities & travel arrangements was exceedingly helpful. Wonderful morning hike from the Tourist Station, led by Felix, who shared lots of info about the wildlife, nature, landscape and seasons at Abisko. The highlight for me was being at the river delta with the sunshine bringing out amazing Autumn colours, and walking across the river to the waters edge of the lake. For 4 nights of the Abisko Autumn Aurora Chase, we were EXCEEDINGLY well looked after by Sara, with prebooked cameras, tripods, backpacks, headtorches & overalls all provided with fabulous instruction & constant support while out at night, and her knowledge of local locations resulted in seeing the aurora AND getting great pics for 3 out of 4 nights. Couldn't fault anything!! Thanks to Sara, Felix and all at Lights Over Lapland who worked so hard for us <3

We enjoyed our Abisko National Park Scenic Morning Hike with our wonderful guide Gavin so much so that we decided to book the Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase the same night to continue exploring what Abisko has to offer with Gavin and the LoL team and guests! It was a really beautiful and educational hike, and Gavin was really lovely, knowledgeable, kind and patient throughout. Having a photography background, Gavin was also able to bring us to great spots for beautiful photos! We also even tried out walking on a frozen part of the lake! The Northern Lights chase at night was exciting and we’re so glad we managed to catch the northern lights (our first time ever!) with the expertise, strategic planning, and patience of Gavin and Miquel (and with a bit of luck given the weather). We also enjoyed some snacks and warm lingonberry juice over fire to end the magical night. Thanks Gavin, Miquel and the team at LoL for such magical experience!

The Autumn Abisko Aurora Chase was a fantastic experience! A big shoutout to our guide Sara Brockmann. She was amazing. Super friendly, and very knowledgeable about history, lifestyle and nature of the region. She helped us with camera settings to make sure we got those stunning photos of the northern lights, which was awesome. We saw the lights at the first try right on the shore of Torneträsk lake, surrounded by incredible scenery. After the chase, we all sat around a cozy fire, and she brought out gingerbread cookies and hot lingonberry juice, perfect after a cold night! On our way back to Abisko, we stopped for one last peek at the sky from the Abisko Turiststation a truly magical view. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun, a marvelous experience with an awesome guide!

We had an amazing time joining the Lights over Lapland AB autumn aurora-chasing tour. In particular, our guide Sara Brockmann was truly responsible and trustworthy. She led us to a perfect lakeside spot where we witnessed multiple displays of the northern lights. Even more special, I proposed to my girlfriend there. Sara thoughtfully took photos for us — and, of course, she took great photos for everyone, not just us. She also prepared a cozy campfire, warm lingonberry juice, and gingerbread cookies to keep us warm. All in all, thanks to Sara’s help, we had an absolutely wonderful night. Finally, we wish everyone traveling to Abisko to see the aurora good weather and clear skies!

This extraordinary wooden church measuring 35x35x35 m and weighing 600 tons is now soon ready to be moved in one piece along with the adjacent bell-tower to their new home in the cemetery of the city a couple of kilometers closer to the new center of Kiruna. We passed Kiruna during the first half of July 2025 and the transport of the church that will be done at a speed of about 0.5 km/h is scheduled for the 19th and 20th of August with the 21st as a reserve day. All hotels in town are already fully booked since a long time because the event attracts loads of people from near and far. Not to be missed if you are in the area!

Awarded the most beautiful structure in Sweden 2001. One can almost hear the theme from the Pirates of the Caribbean played the church's grand organ. Otherwise, is a bright, quiet and peaceful place for meditation and prayer

Very pretty church and Bell Tower, the door is unlocked for access. The church is due to be relocated in the next 12 months into the new city area of Kiruna due to the mining.

Its a beautiful church! Everything is made out of wood, definitely worth visiting! They are planning to move it because of the mining nearby so visit it as long as its on its original place
