Stunning castle in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. We were lucky with the weather as it had been raining all day the previous day. The restauration of the castle is amazing and still ongoing. Certain areas were closed because of that and because we visited out of season. But still lots to see with a huge number of period artefacts. Gives you an idea of how important trade was. Tranquil setting with nice walks in the area. Not many visitors but I can imagine it gets very busy in Summer. Good restaurants around on the lake side leading to the castle. It's a good walk from the station, about 3km, but beautiful along the lakes. The whole experience was magnificent and the on site toilets were immaculate. Access for wheelchair users a bit tricky and you need to be fairly sure footed due to the old cobbled roads and paths. But what a place. Return rail ticket from Vilnius was about €6.

A very cool medieval castle and a museum! Despite some rain and October gloomy weather, we had a great time exploring the castle. The grey skies gave the whole location a nice vibe, and the forest and lake surrounding the castle looked stunning.

Had an lovely experience visiting Trakai. Nestled in nature, the entire environment is incredibly calming and beautiful. The colorful houses and the vibrant surroundings make it a truly picturesque destination. The peaceful ambiance, especially with water all around, adds to the tranquility. And of course, if you visit, you absolutely must try the kibinai, a delicious local treat that adds an authentic touch. Absolutely worth the trip!

I visited Trakai Castle in October, and it was absolutely stunning. Inside, the museum is well-organized, with interesting exhibits about Lithuanian history, the Grand Dukes, and medieval life. There’s also a sense of calm and history that you can really feel as you wander through the courtyards and towers. Even though some areas felt a bit touristy (like the souvenir stalls near the entrance), it didn’t take away from the experience. I’d recommend stopping at one of the nearby cafés to try kibinai, the local pastry — warm and delicious on a chilly autumn day. Overall: A must-visit if you’re in Lithuania. Trakai Castle in autumn is simply magical — peaceful, picturesque, and full of history.

During our visit, a portion of the castle was closed for renovation, which unfortunately affected the quality of our photographs. The interior of the castle is rich in history, and the local guide was very knowledgeable in sharing its stories.

This is a magnificent park. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and wonderful. Even on a crowded day, it’s fairly easy to find some quiet space to yourself. The squirrels are beyond adorable so make sure you bring some delicious nuts for them.

A lovely getaway from the urban sprawl of Warsaw. Lordly peacocks 🦚 made my day. Squirrels 🐿️ run galore, so bring your little bag of nuts to partake in the feeding craze undertaken by old and young :) Love golden autumn colors 🍂 adding more splendor.

Lovely afternoon with fantastic weather today. Beautiful autumn leaves, few peacocks and cute squirrels. A lot of room for long walks, also plenty of benches to sit down and relax. One of the places you must see when visiting Warsaw, whatever the season.

A classic Warsaw landmark – loved by locals and tourists alike. Take a walk and check out the Sybil Temple, the Amphitheatre, the Old Orangery, and the peaceful Chinese Garden. Beautifully maintained and full of charm in every season. I was especially impressed by a colorful duck 🦆🍁

Łazienki Park is simply charming. It's a very beautiful, peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing stroll. Along the way, you can see various animals like squirrels, peacocks, and ducks, which make the experience even more enjoyable and fun. Perfect for those who want to connect with nature without leaving the city.

Amazing and massive park area. People handfeed the peacocks and red squirrels by the palace. I was shocked how friendly the animals are. One red squirrel came up to me and climbed on my leg thinking I have food. Back in the UK this is unimaginable as animals over there have to be wary of humans.

Incredible huge park with multiple old buildings and a vast network of trails and paths. Washrooms are easy to find comma and there is more seating/benches than any other Park I have seen. Be sure to find the peacocks that hang out near the education center

We visited as it’s our last day, it’s pretty impressive how much money, time, and effort to rebuild all these historic buildings, including this Church of our Lady. Inside still haven’t had much to see but still nice to visit. Free entry but if you wish to climb up to the viewing tower over 100 steps then have a fee.

This is a beautiful church that is the jewel of Dresden. I loved visiting the church as well as sitting outside in one of the many cafes and restaurants and taking in the view. Church entrance is free. It’s gorgeous inside. If you want to climb up the dome, you need to go around the back. I think it was €12 entrance. The views are great from the top. There are a good few steps going up to start and then there is a ramp around the dome which makes it far easier to ascend.

Brilliant history! In the final days of WWII, the whole city was bombed including this church which was a very important part of Dresden. Following the reunification of German, it was rebuilt using some of the original stone! The building is incredible and there is a stunning view from the top. A must visit!

It's free to walk into the main part of the church where you can see the beautiful interior, and 10€ per person to climb to the top of the church. The stairs are pretty easy most of the way up, and up until after you finish walking up a big sloped ramp near the end you must also get up some VERY steep and skinny stairs (so beware, if you're a claustrophobe or don't like heights). But the view of Dresden is so worth it if you do it.

The magnificent Frauenkirche! When I last visited decades ago, the church was nothing but a pile of rubble—or more accurately, a heap of stones—serving as a stark reminder of the devastation of war. Reconstruction began in 1994, and on October 30, 2005, it was officially reopened. The church hall is impressively tall and richly decorated. You can climb up to the dome, but we didn’t have time for that on this visit. I’m sure the views from up there—both into the church and across Dresden—are breathtaking. If you only have time to visit one attraction in Dresden, I’d choose the Frauenkirche.

We came for a Mozart concert. It was fabulous. This rebuild baroque church is bright and beautifully grand. It holds around 3000 guests and is decorated with much gold and adornments.The seats were comfortable not like other old churches.it was warm and without drafts.

The nature around the lake is spectacular. It is a must-see place with beautiful landscapes and a great choice for a romantic trip. You can take a boat ride and live a dream!

Königssee is stunning! Clear emerald water, surrounded by mountains – a true paradise. The boat ride and echo experience are unforgettable, and St. Bartholomä looks like a postcard. Best to go early to avoid crowds.

One of the most beautiful lakes in Germany! The emerald water and mountain views are just breathtaking. You can take a boat trip, walk along the shore, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. Everything is very well organized with good facilities and parking nearby. A must-see if you’re in Bavaria! 🚤🌲💚

The most unforgettable palce in Germany. I visited this place in October. You can take boat and hearing the horn sounds while taking the boat to explore the lake view.

This was our second visit to Königssee after eight years – and the lake still amazes us just as much ☺️ The boat ride is a fantastic experience – maybe not the cheapest, but definitely worth it. On the way, the guide explains everything in both German and English, and one of the highlights is when they play the trumpet and the sound echoes back beautifully from the mountains – a truly unique moment. We recommend stopping at St. Bartholomä, and then continuing by boat to Salet, from where you can walk to Obersee and further to Röthbachfall, Germany’s highest waterfall. The scenery along the way is absolutely stunning – Königssee is one of those places you’ll always want to return to.

No doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Bavaria, a boat ride across the lake and lunch on the far side. The location is extremely popular, the parking area alone is huge, I imagine it serves other activity points as well. Very touristy on the approach to the ferry jetties, loads of souvenir shops and restaurants/ food outlets. Around lunchtime boats leave every five minutes, we had no waiting time, we bought a ticket and hopped straight onto the next ferry. Everything was highly efficient. Loved it.

The city center of Munich is an absolutely stunning and lively area centered around the famed Marienplatz. Dominated by the magnificent Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall), a Neo-Gothic architectural gem, the square's highlight is the famous Glockenspiel, which draws crowds daily to watch its mechanical figures perform. The area is a fantastic blend of history and modern life, with the towering Frauenkirche (Cathedral) just a short walk away, alongside the bustling Viktualienmarkt and the start of the main pedestrian shopping zones (like Kaufingerstraße). Whether you're sightseeing at the Residenz, shopping for luxury goods, or simply soaking up the authentic Bavarian atmosphere at a nearby Wirtshaus, the city center serves as the perfect, walkable hub for exploring all that Munich has to offer.

We just wanted to see how beautiful these crystals display. We did not buy anything from them, too bad for them. But the way they arranged their display, even on the way to exit, they enticed visitors with various pricing range to make sure that they would get something from them. Nevertheless, it's still worth a visit to see various crystals, such ones in marvel movies, Donald Duck etc. The display at ground floor (first enter) is €€€ above but the ones at 2nd floor is more affordable and attractive.

Crystals are everywhere and epic things which made up of crystals. Watching all this gives calmness to my eyes but my heart says buy something😜 from Swarovski. I saw not only one dress which wore by Ananya pande but also many other things and characters from Disney. Totally worth it.

The staff were so nice! I bought a ring yesterday but realised it was too big once i cut off the rubber that tied it to the packaging. So i headed in to exchange my ring today. The exchange process was really easy and the staff were happy to help. I went in with my ring in M size, the original packaging and the receipt. And i tried on the S size ring with the help of a staff. Then i just brought the S size ring to the cashier and explained the need for a change in size. The exchange was super quick, took less than 10 mins altogether! Really thankful for the experienced staff and the helpful service!

In my opinion, this is one of the top 3 landscapes to see in Italy. My partner and I walked around the lake, which is 3.8 km long. At times there were quite a lot of people, even forming small queues, but for most of the route we could walk at our own pace. Tip: if the mountain views at the starting point don’t seem that impressive, it’s better to walk around the lake clockwise rather than counterclockwise. This way, the most beautiful part of the scenery will be towards the end of the walk, and your photos will turn out better.

Nice small lake and good views of the surrounding moutains. But in my opinion nothing out of the ordinary - its just a mountain lake and a very commercialised one. You can rent boats for 45min which will cost 55€ and parking is also 15€. The path around the lake is very crowded as well. I think there are more beautiful and especially more calm lakes in the dolomites that would be worth your time and money.

Lago di Braies is absolutely breathtaking! The crystal-clear turquoise water surrounded by majestic mountains looks like something out of a postcard. It’s the perfect place for a peaceful walk, a boat ride, or just relaxing and taking in the view. Every angle is stunning, especially in the early morning or at sunset. The air feels so fresh and calm—it’s pure magic. A must-see spot in the Dolomites that you’ll never forget!

Best lake in the Dolomites in Italy and a MUST visit. It is also referred to as 'The pearl of the Dolomites'. Circular route around this magical mountain lake is a great experience for young and old because the entire hiking trail is safe and well marked. Walking distance from bus stop and car parking.

Gloomy day for us but still breathtaking views. Rented a row boat and bopped around the lake for a bit before grabbing a bite and heading out. Plan your trip accordingly, it can be crazy during the busy months. Do your research!

Gorgeous turquoise lake that reminds me of lake Louise in banff Canada. Rented a row boat for 55€ that includes 2 magnets and 45 minutes of row time. It was pretty windy with a slight drizzle when we arrived at 5:30pm. Last boat is at 7pm. There was a slight wait but we didn’t wait too long to get on the lake

It’s one of the best spots to take photos and admire the beauty of Venice from above. Visiting St. Mark’s Basilica is a must for anyone coming to Venice. It’s not just a church it’s a living piece of art and history that leaves you amazed and inspired.

Wow. First look was across the square - what a magnificent place. Loved listening to Rick Steeves podcast about the square and outside of the church. So many intricacies and unique bits. Then we were a part of a mass in the side chapel- so lovely. Came back later that day for the whole tour (again with RS!) amazing history, architecture, heaving floor & art! Did the whole deal with Pala d’oro and Loggia and glad I did. So cool to get up close to the horses, the mosaics, the view from up top. I bought tickets the same day but that saved me some waiting time.

The Saint Mark’s Basilica is one of the most beautiful Catholic churches I have ever visited. The basilica blends perfectly with the surrounding Saint Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace, creating a breathtaking historical setting. The main altar is truly a jewel—absolutely astonishing in its detail and craftsmanship. On the second floor, the four Greek horses are remarkable pieces of art and history. I highly recommend visiting this magnificent church with a guided tour to fully appreciate its rich background and hidden details.

St. Mark’s Basilica – Venice We had tickets for the basilica but mixed up the date due to the time difference coming from the U.S.—we were supposed to visit on the 3rd at 3:00 PM, and only realized that day that our reservation was actually for the 4th which is the following day. We arrived very early in the morning of the 4th when it opened. There was an event in the piazza so there was no line at all, and we explained that we had to catch a train later that afternoon. Despite the empty entryway and our situation, we were denied entry and told to return at the exact reservation time. We respect that there are rules and timed tickets exist for crowd control, but it was disappointing that there was zero flexibility, especially when the basilica was not crowded and accommodating two visitors would not have impacted operations. The basilica itself is extraordinary, and MAYBE we’ll try again next time—but travelers should know that the staff take reservation times very strictly, even when the site is relatively quiet.

The Basilica di San Marco is really impressive. It offers incredible details and beautiful art. It is usually sold out for the next 2 days, so I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. On the official website you can buy it with an entry time, so you don’t have to queue outside. Once inside, you can also buy tickets for some additional areas of the Basilica, directly through a QR code that is placed right in front of the area you want to visit. If you wish to get an audio guide, you can rent one once inside, just after the access, but you will need your own earphones (which currently need a mini jack to be connected to the device), if you don’t have it, you can still hear it placing the device on your ear. This is available in several languages and it will be necessary if you want to know what you’re looking at in the Basilica. Depending on how long you want to stay inside, you may be able to see it all in 30-60 minutes, differently from the Palazzo Ducale which takes much longer. Have fun!

There are no words that do justice to describing this Basilica. It dazzles you with something spectacular, then trumps itself with the next tings. From the greatest marble floors in the world to arguably the greatest golden Byzantine wall and ceiling mosaics in the world. The gold glimmers in the light and tells the story of the bible in the vivid detail that the height of Byzantine art manages better than anyone else. Do not miss the Pala d’oro, a golden altarpiece that is worth every penny. Do not miss the museum, whose collection is better than most national collections. Not least because the famous four horses from the Hippdrome in Constantinople are there. The greatest piece of ancient art in the world still with us. They mesmerise. They look and feel real. Then there is the views of the square from the balcony…

St. Mark’s Basilica is regarded as the most important landmark in Venice. It is located at the heart of Piazza San Marco, adjacent to the Doge’s Palace, and serves as one of the finest examples of medieval ecclesiastical architecture in Europe. The first church on this site was constructed between 829 and 836 AD to house the relics of St. Mark the Evangelist, whose remains were taken from Alexandria, Egypt, and brought to Venice in the 9th century. The present structure, replacing the earlier church, was built between 1063 and 1094. The basilica reflects a fascinating blend of Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic architectural styles. Its domes, mosaics, marble decorations, and opulent interior are strongly reminiscent of Hagia Sophia and other Byzantine churches, underlining the cultural and artistic exchange between East and West. In addition to its religious role as a reliquary for St. Mark’s remains, the basilica also became a repository for treasures acquired during the Crusades. Following the Fourth Crusade and the Latin sack of Constantinople in 1204, numerous artworks and relics were brought to Venice and placed in St. Mark’s Basilica. This palace is beautiful and full of history and artwork. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time and giving yourself at least two hours to explore. I recommend getting a tour guide to learn more about the history of the palace. The café was also nice and not too expensive. It’s a must see when in Venice.

You have to get tickets online so you'll save time, not waiting to buy tickets. This palace is gorgeous, you will need more than an hour to see everything. This place is huge, there is a lot of photos opportunity. They have a impressive selection of fancy rooms. The ceiling is full of art, with golden details. Take time to learn about the history of this place. They have tour guides here as well, in case you want to learn more in detail. Give yourself about 2 hours here.

A must-see in Venice! The Doge’s Palace is absolutely breathtaking — filled with history, incredible art, and ornate architecture that captures the essence of Venice’s power and beauty. We visited around 5 PM, and it wasn’t busy at all, which made it even more enjoyable to explore at our own pace. Highly recommend booking tickets in advance to skip any lines and ensure your preferred time. Walking across the Bridge of Sighs and seeing the view from both sides was unforgettable. Truly one of the highlights of our trip!

Book ahead of time and the queue isn't TOTALLY awful. Impressive selection of fancy rooms with big paintings in them. Have fun spotting which doge looks the most like Santa! Also top tip: at some point in the tour you get to the prison cells and you have the option to take the short route or the 'complete tour'. The complete tour is just LOTS MORE PRISON CELLS. Only take if you really enjoy empty stone rooms and stairs!

We booked a tour via get your guide (crown tours). The tour guide we had was passionate and her English was really easy to understand. We learnt so much. We chose the balcony tour and that was excellent and not too crowded. Got so much more out of your than I expected. Be warned plan to get there earlier than your time slot, I saw a couple who were late and missed there toyr and as other tours were full could not join the next one.

Oh my gracious what an incredible palace!! 686 years old. Do a tour! We did with skip the line passes. Hearing the history is needed to understand the meaning of so much of this palace. It is ginormous. I could walk around and stare at all the artwork and art, the exhibits, the prisons! Crazy to think prisoners as recently as 1920 were still being held here. The sheer wealth ugh

Beautiful location. Choose the time of year you go as it can become very busy indeed. The streets of Venice are many and varied with many bridges and not a car to be seen. The waterways are busy too, bustling with boats which is entertaining to watch. Easy access by foot straight from the train station. Most definitely worth a visit but go armed with 'maps' on your phone so you don't get lost.

Such a lovely place to visit, the buildings are stunning. Very busy with a great feel and atmosphere. Very easy to get too, with lots of gift shops and stalls very close by, and also ferrry rides and gondola rides on the waterfont. A wonderfully beautiful place to be. Very hapy to have visited here

Beautiful buildings. Not crowded in October. Pleasant weather. Live music in the middle of the Piazza at Cafe Florian. Best place for some photos. I did not visit the building, just drank a coffee and walked around.

In my opinion, Piazza San Marco is one of the most beautiful squares in the world. The entire place feels almost magical — the canals, the buildings, the bell tower, the palace, and the clock all add a unique touch of grandeur and splendor. This square was one of the main reasons I visited Venice, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend experiencing its charm in person.

This waterway runs the entire length of the Lagoon of Venice! There is much traffic on the waterway: water buses, water taxis, gondolas and private boats and amazing to see how they navigate it all. I purchased a 3-Day Water Bus pass and it allowed me to enjoy the beautiful views, massive buildings, Rialto Bridge and exquisite architecture of all the other buildings along the waterway.

It was amazinggg, We loved it.We took the gondola and it was a great experience. We paid 90€ in total for three people. The price does not change depending on the number of people. It is the same whether there are five people. The 30 minute gondola ride is priced at 90€.Definitely take a walk around the back streets, this is essential to understand the spirit of Venice. And definitely eat at more local establishments, it's cheaper and more original.

Rialto was once the world’s trading floor, where goods from East and West were landed — and you sense that weight of history even now, slipping under its arch by night. A vaporetto ride is Venice’s greatest souvenir: not bought, but lived.

Ever since I read Gombrich’s The Story of Art years ago, I had dreamed of visiting this place. Undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to Italy! Impeccably preserved, with lighting at the base that showcases the frescoes in the chapel in the best possible way. Giotto, in the 1300s, is a landmark figure pinned on the grand tapestry of art history, undeniably a medieval genius and at the same time the starting point of the Renaissance. He was among the first to bring architectural frames, outdoor scenery, shadowing, expressions, and natural gestures into his figures. Giotto’s innovations in spatial depth and emotional realism paved the way for Masaccio, and eventually for Da Vinci, Michelangelo and the High Renaissance. What makes the experience even more fascinating is its story: the chapel was commissioned by Enrico Scrovegni as an act of penance for his family’s sins of usury. The only real pity is that each visit is limited to just 15 minutes. Honestly, it feels far too short, so we couldn’t help but want to buy another ticket just to experience it all over again.

What an amazing place and fascinating history. Regardless of whether you are religious or not. The incredible creativity of a man in the 1300's has to be witnessed. The human emotions that have been depicted throughout the chapel are amazing. Highly recommend a visit to this well organised historic site.

This is a rare chance to see a monumental work by Giotto, spinning several dozen biblical scenes. You have to buy tickets in advance, but the experience is definitely worth your time and hassle.

The chapel itself was astonishing and breathtaking. There was a short video in air-conditioned room before entering, which provided general info. - Unfortunately, there was not enough time to patiently savour the frescoes, we were rushed out, so I was very dissappointed:( *I know there are many people coming to visit, but I would strongly consider prolonging the visiting time.

A must see when you visit the beautiful city of Padova. Very important to arrive in time as stated by your on line reservation as the admission process for visiting the chapel is strictly adhered to.

Absolute riot of fresco that are staggeringly numerous, detailed and beautiful. Entry strictly controlled and 15 minutes only, so try booking 2 consecutive slots to do this place justice.

Thank God, they haven't covered the original paintings and original walls. Since this is not the active chapel, we can feel the real archeological smell. Visitors are allowed inside onkybfor 15 min. There is an automatic door system to ensure the interiors are protected from environmental damage to the original paintings. Surprised to know that it was a private chapel of a wealthy citizen lived in Padova. His name was. Enrico Scrovegni. Like Dante's hell , this Chapel has Giotto 's hell. Interesting to know that there is a pope (rebelled )in the hell. The paintings are worth watching.

No tickets required, but dress appropriately! If you have too much skin showing, they will provide covering to wear for 1 Euro. I was very impressed by that, so no one would be turned away! You can wear shorts and short sleeve shirts for comfort in the heat...just not too short. This magnificent place is a must-see!

The Basilica of St. Anthony is truly my place of strength. Every time I come here, I feel a powerful energy that surrounds and uplifts me. The atmosphere is so unique and deeply spiritual that it’s impossible to leave without feeling renewed and inspired. A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience something beyond the ordinary.

The exterior is a melange of architectural styles, fairly plain brickwork but with Byzantine minarets and domes reminiscent of the Hagia Sophia of Istanbul. Internally it is pure Gothic with wonderful sculptures and artwork. The scale is vast and the ceilings almost disappear into the distance, many covered by netting to catch falling debris. This is a site of pilgrimage for followers of Saint Anthony and there was a line to enter the chapels containing his relics. The lighting is very dim so the architecture is not shown to best advantage but nevertheless the effect is inspiring.

It was a great blessing and goosebumping experience to have a dharhsan at St. Antony's basilica at Padova. One could feel the positive divine vibration the moment enters into the Basilica. Indeed, we spent more time in the Basilica in prayer and meditation. St. Antony of Padova is the patron saint for lost objects. St. Antony of Padova is widely celebrated saint in South India. We had a opportunity to pray at his cemetery, tonsee his unperished tounge and jaw. His incorruptible relic is housed in this basilica.

Due to our ancestral devotion to St. Anthony, my wife and I made a point to visit Padua, and the cathedral here is truly mesmerizing. Having visited Lisbon as well, we were particularly struck by the abundance of St. Anthony’s relics housed in this beautiful church. You will find St Anthony's pillow stone, uncorrupted tongue of St Anthony, Jaw bone with teeth, vocal apparatus, skin from head, cassock, St Anthony's finger, hair. Plus relics of other saints and items from cross on which Jesus died

One of the most magnificent basilicas you will ever see. Its fame rests not only on its architectural beauty but also on the spiritual aura that resides within the basilica. It houses the mortal remains of St Antony of Padua. It also has the relics of more than a dozen other saints including St Pope John Paul II. Catholics from all over the world flock to the Basilica throughout the year. One thing that catches our eyes is the altar that has all the relics.

Amazing inside and outside. Went for a walk by night and it was very never with the moonlight. The interior is superb, lots of different Chappelle with amazing art and, of course the saint Anthony spaces for pilgrims. Please, respect the place, there's people praying

Very impressive theater. The tour through the museum lasts about 15-30 minutes depending on how much you want to read. If there’s a concert or something similar while you’re staying in Vicenza, I recommend booking a ticket to experience the theater in action. During summer it’s very hot (there‘s no AC).

We saw a Bach concert that suited this Andrea Palladio masterpiece theatre very well. As it’s a protected building only few changes have been made and we didn’t see any bar, but didn’t miss it either as there was no intermission. The seats are quite uncomfortable but acceptable in a heritage building like this one. The play with spatial illusions makes the scene very dramatic and special.

It may be over 400 years old but the Teatro Olimpico remains stunning and immensely practical. The stage set including the streets laid out in perfect perspective must have added to the theatrical experience and captivated and enthralled audiences. You can't go on the stage so you have to make do with a scale model made from Lego to appreciate the technique. Pure genius from the master classical architect Palladio. We bought the Vicenza Silver Card for free admission to four of the top tourist sites. This is one of the best.

Exceptional. The fact that the theatre exists largely as-is from the 16th century and the visual effect of the theater backdrop simulating loooong streets leave one stare in awe. If in the area, a must-see!

All of Vicenza is beautiful and one of our favourite places in Italy. But this theatre... Is... AMAZING! Yes it's not very big, but if you get your tickets as part of a multi attraction pass it is very cheap. The theatre itself is incredible and has the original set pieces from its creation which make an optical illusion. There is a free audio guide which gives a great insight. No photo can do it justice. The seats are original wood from the 1500's... So be careful of catching your pants on a nail or splinter. Also. You will NEED to use the small stairs, on either end or the centre to move up and down the seating. The staff get very upset about you stomping down the seating given its age.

Well worth a visit, they gave us a scan code for a 20 minute audio which was good. Certainly should visit if you have time in Vicenza.

A very impressive castle surrounded by the greenest water I’ve ever seen. Located just at the entrance of Ferrara medieval beautiful down town. What makes it more perfect is that it is absolutely free of charge, no entrance fee, no packed tourists. Just for you to enjoy it by yourself…

A beautiful amusement park with everything you could want and more. For all ages. Water attractions, such as adventure rivers, water jumps, and water slides. High-speed slides of various types and difficulty levels. Simulations, entertainment, and all kinds of shows. Of course, all kinds of food. If you have tickets to both parks, entry is faster at Mirabeach. But the reception is only at the main entrance.

I had such an amazing day here! Despite not being the biggest amusement park ou there, it is certainly a good one! The staff is super welcoming, the food offered is delicious, and most importantly, the costumer service is amazing! However, the queues are usually gigantic, so I do recommend getting the flash pass, otherwise the experience might not be as enjoyable! Additionally, if you have any disabilities or special needs, the park also offers a flash pass for people with special needs!

We loved our visit to Mirabilandia! The park is very clean and beautifully maintained. The attractions are well chosen for adrenaline seekers - iSpeed, Katun and especially Divertical, which is both a water ride and a thrill ride (you will definitely end up wet on that one!). This park is a great complement to Gardaland - each has its own style. Mirabilandia feels slightly less tailored to non-Italian-speaking visitors, but everything was still easy to understand and enjoy. Other water rides were also fantastic. Although we visited as two adults, we noticed plenty of areas and attractions for younger visitors too. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Amazing fun park with lots of things to do! I especially love the rollercoasters, they have few of them on a world class level. The end of the day was in a style - with Hot Wheels acro show, and also water jetpacks audio-visual show to close the night at 10pm.

Was a really nice and refreshing vacation,but make sure to buy your tickets online in advance and buy the flash pass regular from the website all for 50€, because if you dont there is minimum wait time of 30-50 min a ride, and it you decide to buy it there only the flash pass costs 50€ and the ticket there also costs 50€ to enter which is personally think is unfair, would love it more if they didnt cut the closing time by 6 hours since schools started, Its understandable that the workers have kids and everything but to cut it from 12pm to 6pm is something else, otherwise most of the staff were friendly except a few, but it was a nice experience for a theme park.

Great park, lots to do. Buy fast pass if you want to experience everything (mutliple times) with no stress. Hot Wheels show is a must-see.

Overall it was a good experience. However, we were (due to numerous reviews) expecting a bit more animals/things to see. E.g. we visited the yellow path in 5 min, definitely something that could be merged into another path or perhaps extended. Parking cost us 5 euros and I am afraid we even landed in the wrong one (on the hotel side). Not sure if the other parking (larger) had the same price. Advice to buy tickets in advance cause they are cheaper and you avoid waiting time jn the cashiers

Good program if it's raining. The aquarium wasn't bad at all, it just wasn't that good. The sooner you buy tickets online, the cheaper. Definitely buy tickets online, because then you don't have to wait 30+ minutes in the queue. The shark are the main attraction and you'll understand why, they're massive and scary 😂 ideal trip for families as there are also dinosaurs, otters etc.

We had a wonderful day but it was very very hot and it was difficult to find shady spots to picnic if you weren’t actually eating at the restaurant or bar as all of the picnic benches in the shade got snatched up immediately! More shaded areas would really make a difference for this otherwise great attraction, especially in the dinosaur world! I would go again, but not in summer!

The prices are very reasonable, and all the animals are adorable. The penguins were so friendly, and the staff was incredibly helpful. Highly recommend!

Really nice aquarium with lots to see for old and young. There also lots of other attractions like dinosaurs, insects and so on, but the aquarium was most impressive to us.

There are a lot of different kinds of fishes, but despite the huge area, only half of the exhibition was interesting. Nevertheless, kids were happy, especially in the dinosaur area.

Very suitable for children to visit. I took my little one to visit on August 22nd. It was a very pleasant experience. I especially liked the blue pavilion. I bought the tickets on the official website, which was very convenient.

Great little theme park. More aimed at children under 10 but plenty of older couples and families visit too. Nice to see all the major landmarks and walk around them.

Tbh I wasn't expecting much and it was a spur of the moment thing to fill an afternoon. Once through the doors it's actually a pretty cool place. There is so much detail everywhere. I found so many locations that I would love to visit on our next italian trip and it's laid out in a representation of the country. There was so much more to see that I realised at first. Some places were not open but that was the only blotch on an enjoyable visit.

The most amazing tematic park we've ever been. Attractions, miniature Italy and Europe, the remake of Piazza Italia and Venice by boat is simply amazing. We spent a fantastic day there, highly recommended.

Very nicely done with many side activities for children, the map is done with attention to detail, trains and boats coming and going, the venice boat trip is especially nice. Needs about 3-4 hours to absorb it all, but even more time can be spent here with options to eat, coffe and sweets.

A must-do experience. There’s something for everyone here, much more than we expected before we went. Quite a magical place, considering how much effort must go into each piece of art to display one area of Italy. You learn a lot on your way around as well, with the quiz. There’s moving parts around every corner, especially the train system is constantly in motion, very impressive. The Venice experience was nicer than actual Venice, as we didn’t have to fight any crowds! Overall exceptional in terms of value for money and experience. Highly recommend it.

We had amazing time with the kids. We visited for evening visit (18-23h, special dates this summer), when every ticket was only 10euro and all the rides were free. Definitely worth a visit!

A very nice place to spend a few hours. In addition you have some attractions like log rides, monorail train rides, mini parrot zoo, ride in gondola through Venice in miniature and carousels for small children in Pinokio themed park . We visited in the morning and there was no long wait anywhere. Later it's getting busier. There are refreshments available on the site and souvenir shops. Buss no 8 goes straight from Rimini to Italy in miniature. Highly recommend.

Even though it was quite busy, the visit was well organised. What we did not like is when we bought the tickets, it was advertised that you could follow an audio tour using the app instead of the guided tour. We liked this option as we were with young children a d their attention span for a guided tour is limited, especially in a language they don't speak. When we got up to the entrance of the caves; they said this was not possible and we had to wait an hour (!) for the English guided tour. The guide took a tremendous amount of time to explain each crack and sediment difference so we decided to walk on and tagged along to two Italian guided groups before we were 'caught' and told to stay with the guide. Our round took 1,5 hours; I did not dare to ask how long the normal tour would have taken. The cave itself is nice, well lit and the path is fenced and very accessible even for young children. There is only one route to follow so it's not possible to get lost.

The caves themselves are amazing! The company running them are running a slick operation and probably making a decent profit and in some cases have put profit before customers and this is why I've only given 3 stars... The buses that take you to the caves from the car park are mainly standing space with very few seats, they packed them full and it's a hot and windy road. The most annoying part however is that photos are forbidden, even with no flash. The only reason for this is so they can sell tickets to the photo tour where you're allowed to take photos. There's no pricing for the photo tour online however so I can only assume it's extortionate.

There are very few places across Europe that will offer you this experience without having to crawl yourself through dark and humid places. Incredibly beautiful experience.

So special to experience these beautiful churches - up and down! We got to enjoy an English mass at 9am on Sunday. Touring with Rick Steeves podcast in our ear was great (also the town walk is so good). Loved the museum in the back. The highlight of course was the crypt, to spend some time in the presence of St Francis. Well- we know his presence is with us in Christ, but so cool to see his tomb. The Giotto frescoes are amazing and the ceilings- wow, that blue- I love it.

Lovely Medieval town - Assisi - famous for St Francis' Basilica, which we visited. Also had a lovely cappuccino but didn't stay for lunch. Escalators available to get you into the higher parts of town from all the car parks so no worries for older and less mobile visitors. A must-see if in Umbria

Today's highlight. You don't want to miss this place when in Assisi. Prepare for a walk uphill and downhill. Travel light but bring some coins or bills for the offering and candles. There's plenty of good restaurants and giftshop in the area. Walking distance to visit the tombs of St. Clare and Saint Carlo Acutis.🙏🙏🙏

What an amazing experience to be able to come on a pilgrimage here. The church is very beautiful and full of meaning. There is a tomb of St. Francis of Assisi under this church. There is also a museum, and a souvenir shop. Don’t forget when you enter, there is a prayer paper that we can take and write, so that later we can bring it to the tomb area of St. Francis, and we give to the brothers here to pray. Then don’t forget after shopping at the souvenir shop, bring it to the blessing section near the exit.

We visited here as part of a tour group, it has amazing art work throughout, its just a shame you can not take photos of your visit. It is a very large complex and will stun you by its size, it gets busy and has some stairways that are narrow.

Another beautiful and amazing church in Italy, the Papal Basilica and Sacred Convent of Saint Francis in Assisi. We can visit the tomb, the mortal remaining of St Francis of Assisi, which was preserved since 1230. Also, this church is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. there are two distinct churches: the Upper and Lower Basilicas. Visitors can explore intricate chapels adorned with remarkable artwork while learning about the rich history through audio guides.

A beautiful building with breathtaking murals inside. Photos are not permitted inside but it is well worth visiting. The murals are floor to ceiling and it's also a pleasant place to spend an hour out of the heat just admiring the works. ⛪

Cascata delle Marmore is a breathtaking mix of natural power and Roman engineering. The roaring falls, scenic trails, and magical mist make it unforgettable. A must-see for nature lovers and travelers alike

So beautiful!! Unfortunately we came a bit late, at 15:30, 30 minutes before the falls are shut down for the day. It’s nice to stroll through the park regardless. But the park was closed entirely by 17:00, so I would advise to plan the visit time better than we did.

It is just beautiful,. We set parking for 1.5h , but we sure did needed more. Got to the first 3 spots there, all the way down. Luckily we packed some snacks and fruits 😋 bc there is a lovely view point right in front of the waterfall.

Absolutely breathtaking and worth the trip. There are paths that make it fairly easy to walk up to view the various falls (you will get wet!). The temperature drops ten degrees when you reach the parking lot, which is an incredible treat in summer. Be sure to stay to see the falls turn off at 1pm or back on again at 3. Plenty of parking. The bus terminal is a little tricky to find in Terni. It’s not the main Terni station but is around the corner to the left after you walk out the front entrance of the station. There’s a dedicated shuttle just for the falls, but pay attention to times, or you’ll end up needing a taxi to get back to Terni (speaking from experience!).

The tallest artificial watetfall in the world! A beautiful, unconventional place – created by human intervention, yet so natural. It's worth devoting more time to exploring and hiking the entire trail, rather than just admiring the views from the upper terrace.

​The Orvieto Cathedral is truly impressive. Its location on top of the hill structure naturally provides it with a well-protected position. The most striking feature is the exterior, where the gold-painted facade beautifully catches the sunset light. Inside, the sculptures and the overall aesthetic of the interior make for a very pleasant and rewarding visit.

As the most famous attraction in the city, this church is magnificent and rich in historical value. Legend has it that Michelangelo visited it in his youth to draw inspiration, which shows how profound its artistic value is. The church itself is not as magnificent as other churches in Rome, but the sculptures here convey the people's worship and longing for the church at that time. If you have enough time, I recommend purchasing a ticket to visit the underground city. Unfortunately, we arrived early this time and the guided tour had not yet started. I believe I will definitely visit the underground city next time I visit!

It's a massive Cathedral. The experience is amazing. It is as much a gallery of art as a place of worship. So as a mark of respect don't use camera inside the Cathedral. For tourists, take a train from Rome, or Florence to Orvieto. Then the Funicular to the top of the hill. There's a small fort and a underground place also for visitors. Local food is very good and reasonably priced

The Duomo in Orvieto is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve visited in Italy. The outside is stunning — the front is full of detailed mosaics, sculptures, and gold decorations that shine in the sunlight. The walls are made of black and white stone in stripes, which makes it look very unique compared to other cathedrals. Inside, the cathedral is peaceful and full of history. The most impressive part is the Chapel of San Brizio, where you can see amazing frescoes by Luca Signorelli. These paintings show scenes from the Last Judgment and the Apocalypse, and the emotion and detail in the faces are incredible. It’s hard to believe they were painted over 500 years ago. Another highlight is the crypt, which many visitors miss. It’s small but very interesting, with ancient frescoes, old tombs, and Christian symbols. It feels like a hidden part of the cathedral that connects you to a much older time. Overall, the Duomo is not just beautiful — it also tells many stories through its art and structure. This is a stunning 1500 church in the Florence style using the black and white stones to create the iconic stripes. The fresco paintings inside are well worth a look. They depict the Last Judgment, featuring vivid scenes of the Resurrection of the Flesh, the Elect in Paradise, and the Damned in Hell.Buy the entry tickets opposite.

Stunning! Difficult to rate a place of worship, but well worth a visit. Not very busy and the chapels are almost on par with the Vatican Museum in Rome a real gem

We really enjoyed our visit. Amazing sculpture work. To see the handmade works and chisel marks. The restaurant was nice, we got the steak. Very nice and very reasonable prices. There is also a cafe. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely loved every inch of this place, and well worth the admission price. A wonderful place to bring kids, and the restaurant served us the most beautiful Fillet Steak we have had in a long time. Definitely worth a trip.

Absolutely incredible! We ditched seeing Vatican City after a long road trip across Italy, found the poster on the side of the highway and decided to drop in. Tons of parking including with a camper, kind staff, clean ground incl washroom. Soo soo soo many unique neat sculptures. There's some wheelchair ramps to washrooms but not to the sites that we could find.

I really liked this exhibition, the statues were huge and mesmerizing! The tilted building was also fun! The price (13€) was a bit overpriced for the size of the park, but still I would recommend it!

Such a magical place. Its surrealist stone sculpture garden. We were there in Jan but would have been great to be in warmer weather since its located in hilly landscape with streams and grass area. We spent about 1 hr walk around. Its easy terrain for slow walk but different elevation makes the park interesting. Love the face entryway, elephant sculpture and leaning building. Will definitely watch the movie where the entire movie scene was shoot in this park.

My husband and I brought our 4 kids on a Sunday. It was great, really beautiful and interesting, and there is a picnic area as well as a playground, both are excellent features, however, it is a small park and costs a family of 6 (with 4 children aged 13 and younger) 58 euros. There is no family rate. Furthermore, according to the website this will increase in January 2026. Would I recommend, yes. Do I think it was overpriced, yes, if you just walk through and dont spend time there. However, if you spend the entire day there it seems a better price :) also no refunds for bad weather.

Small restored quirky garden of bizarre statues commissioned by a middle ages count who was a little off his rocker. Worth a side trip but a little costly.
