We have been to Brodsworth several times in the past but never during the summer months so decided to go and stroll round the stunning gardens. We were fortunate enough to join a garden tour by a lovely and very knowledgeable volunteer called Jill. Not only did we find areas in the gardens we had never seen before, but we're given the history of the house and family as well. This was made so entertaining interesting by Jill. Well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed our trip today with our toddler, there was lots to do and we planned what we wanted to do and we all had a wonderful time. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the ice cream is incredible! Our toddler loved all the different things and got involved with the interactive animal care, which was nice! We left a little early for our little one’s nap, however we would have stayed all day if we could! We will definitely revisit and would absolutely recommend - it’s such a great day out!

A nice place to shop, eat and watch a movie. The parking sites are located conveniently and one can choose the location based on which shops one wishes to visit in the mall. Parking is free. Apart from the regular high street shops and food joints, there are other independent shops as well. One should visit these shops which are located in the “lanes”. The food court is big enough but one might struggle to find a table. Try the Thai restaurant if you like Thai food. Overall, very happy with the place.

Great arena, I saw Lewis Capaldi here yesterday and was on the lower tier in one of the back corners but still had a really great view. The fact that it is one of the smaller arenas goes in its favour for the views actually. The bars were well stocked and there were plenty of staff to serve. It was clean and modern inside and overall a good experience. The only downside was that one or two of the showsec staff were winging it with the information they gave to people regarding where to queue etc but that did not detract from the experience. Parking is expensive here though so I didn't use the arena car park.

Beautiful flowers in the walled garden at Temple Newsam! The greenhouse is currently closed for refurbishment, however there's lots of vibrant colours on display in the gardens. Enjoyed the daily special in the tearoom for £6.99, which was a southern fried chicken salad with sweet chilli sauce. They also serve a good range of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and cakes. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors in the courtyard. Always a nice place to wander around for an hour or two!

Absolutely beautiful place to visit! Knaresborough Castle is a charming historic site with an incredible view over the river and the stunning bridge below. The riverside area is perfect for a peaceful walk, with a few lovely pubs right under the bridge where you can enjoy the view. The castle itself is small but full of character, and for just around £4 you can explore it inside. The whole town of Knaresborough is truly picturesque, colourful houses, cozy cafés, and beautiful little streets everywhere. I was lucky to visit during autumn, when the leaves made everything even more magical, and the shops were decorated for Halloween, which added such a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Yorkshire!

Beautiful park, masses of open space, mature trees riverside walks and seating areas. Parking is a bit limited in the main car parks, but you can park with care on the streets.

Absolutely fabulous museum, so much to do and see. So much history in this museum, with live reenactments that help children understand how it may have been in the past. Huge displays! The stairwell was epic-with swords, pikes, spears and armour. Interactive displays. Even an full sized armoured elephant and horses! A fun photo op as you enter, a chance to take your picture with a dragon, holding on to a sword as if to slay it. We plan to visit the museum again when we can take more time over the exhibits and enjoy their other live performances.

I went to the theater on my own, which was incredibly hard. I lost my wife to cancer just 6 months ago, and this is the kind of show she would have absolutely adored. We always loved going to different shows together, and I made a promise to her—to keep doing the things we loved, to keep living for the both of us. I watched Kinky Boots which was an absolute triumph – a show that’s as bold and beautiful as it is moving and meaningful. From the moment the lights came up, I was completely captivated. The performances were phenomenal, the energy electric, and the story – oh, the story – struck right to the heart. As a member of the LGBTQ community, this show resonated with me on such a personal level. I cried – not just at the emotional depth of the narrative, but because I saw parts of my own journey, as well as those of friends reflected on stage. The struggle for acceptance, the sting of rejection, the courage it takes to be unapologetically yourself – it was all there, handled with such authenticity, grace, and heart. But what truly makes Kinky Boots so special is how it blends this deep emotional core with joy, humour, and hope. It’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, wonderfully cheeky, and endlessly heartwarming. It reminds you that love, understanding, and acceptance really can change the world – one step at a time, in a fabulous pair of heels. This wasn’t just a show – it was a celebration of identity, resilience, and community. A standing ovation doesn’t do it justice. If you have the chance to see it, do. It’s a powerful, affirming, and unforgettable experience. Sitting there alone was extremely painful, and I felt an overwhelming sadness when I arrived, missing my wife beside me so deeply. I cried quietly in the darkness, not just because of the show’s moving moments, but because she wasn’t there to share them. But somehow, through the laughter, the music, and the message of hope and acceptance, the show gently lifted my spirits. It reminded me that joy can still be found, even through the grief, and for that, I’m truly grateful. The cast of performers are fabulous! And the show made me miss going to drag shows with my sweet wife. We loved those! The theatre itself is lovely. It has a real sense of character. Its period features and traditional charm give it a warm, welcoming feel, and the architecture adds a touch of elegance to the whole experience. The kind of place that adds to the enjoyment of the evening without overshadowing the performance itself. Overall, a fantastic experience. I've even booked myself a ticket to the Sounds of 60s show! And yes, alone but I can do this!

Wow, what a beautiful venue, with excellent sound - and friendly & welcoming staff. Also - easily accessible, by foot, and via public transport from the Leeds train station and the central bus station. For a concert goer, it was a great experience in every aspect! Extra bonus points for having paper towels in the toilet, rather that just "air driers". I got to wash my face after the long haul from London. Refreshing (pun intended). Thanks for thinking about your audience, and expecting what they might need! Unfortunately, could not take pics inside, as it was a phone-free concert (Bob Dylan, Nov 2025), but, hoenstly - one of the best venues I've been to - and I see about 100 gigs each year across the UK. Well done, Leeds! ❤️🙏 Will definitely be back for more concerts at this wonderful arena.

I visited Valley Gardens alone and really enjoyed it. The tennis courts and mini golf made it fun and active, but the highlight for me was the beautiful Japanese Garden. It’s peaceful and perfect for a quiet walk. A great place to relax or spend a few hours outdoors

This was an absolute brilliant day out. Started off riding the cable cars up to the top, beautiful scenery to look out. It all felt quite safe! The actual place at the top had plenty of things to see and do! From Wombles to the Caves it was great fun! We had a brilliant explorer for the caves- The Other Steve - he was so full of knowledge and enjoyed sharing it. Kept me interested all the way through and the light show at the end was a great surprise! Great day out and we all enjoyed it!

A brilliant family day out. Free parking is available and just a short wait for the gates to open. There is something to do for all ages here, visited with two children ages 12 and 15 and enjoyed by both. This park is great for those who don't like massive rollacoasters or queuing for hours to get on a ride. The queues were all short, or we were straight on. The climbing wall and the rope swing were the only two attractions that had a bigger queue or wait time. Various food and drink outlets dotted around. We chose to have a pizza, which was nicely done. Old classics like the log flume, river rapids, pirate ship and high wire seats were enjoyed by all. Photos for the log flume are reasonable prices, the pottery craft painting was only £5, and there is a gift shop at the exit to buy a keepsake or gift. Whether you've got a little one or older one there's definitely something for everyone. £65 family ticket offer for a family of 5 was great value for the amount of things to do. We would visit again.

I visited over the weekend for the first time and it is an absolute gem; it was an unforgettable experience. Every section in the resort is designed for relaxation and experiencing nature. I particularly appreciate the exceptional staff on premise; I had an issue and they went beyond and above to look after me. The experience left a lasting impression and added a sense of luxury throughout my stay. I look forward to returning soon and creating more memories.

This is a beautiful place to wander around, even if you don't like sculptures, it's lovely parkland with lake and woodland walks. The sculptures are wonderful, though. Many different styles and some are hidden, waiting to be discovered. Take a picnic, but expect to be visited by hopeful geese or sheep! There's also a decent cafe.

Had an amazing day here. Loads to see Very well set out They do tractor rides and sheep and ferret racing at specific times. There are various play areas for children of all ages, plenty of picnic benches so you can cater for yourself if you want to make the visit easier on your pocket. There is a reasonably priced restaurant and a burger van and cafe. Great farm shop. Will definitely be returning 😁

I cannot speak highly enough about this place, it is just "wow" from start to finish. Parking was easy, even on a busy Saturday, the house is awesome, from the gilt Versailles like gates, every room is jaw dropping, completely over the top, lavish decor, painted frescoes on the ceilings and walls, beautiful ornate plasterwork, carved wall panels, leather embellished walls, fabulous chandeliers, gorgeous paintings and a ton of really beautiful pieces of art, ceramics and statues. The staff are super helpful and friendly, I recommend the audio guide, it is very informative. There is a lovely gift shop selling high quality gifts, including Chatsworth's jams, chutney, drinks and house related gifts. Outside the grounds don't disappoint, there are huge greenhouses and plants to see and buy. There is the famous fountain and lake featured in Pride and Prejudice, a massive rockery garden, made from massive stacked granite slabs, I've never seen anything like it. There is a giant hedge maze and beautiful views from wherever you are in the grounds. I believe there is a children's play area and farmyard, but I didn't visit there as I was too tired after all the walking. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the sandwich I got from the deli van, it was quite expensive and the bread was really thick and overwhelmed the filling. Ice cream and sandwiches cost around £7+. There is a restaurant there but I can't comment on that as I didn't use it. There are plenty of well maintained public toilets but not inside the house. Standard Adult entry is £32, including parking, which is on the high side, but in my opinion it is worth it.

This was a fun attraction to visit, with a small gauge railway running on a return leg! The steam train is lovely and carriages had seating differing from regular trains, albeit not cramped. Small station at the end is fun to wander around with its turntable at the end and as an adult, I did not enter the playground obviously but the effort into the design of the play train is admirable! Mini railway is a blast itself that even features tiny bridges, the waiting room is chill with posters related to the railway.

A lovely reservoir you can part walk round. Lots of history, a shame we'll likely never see them over spilling again. Theres a paid car park opposite and road parking if you get there early!

Highly recommend, solo, families, doggy friends! Gets quite busy later in the day, beautiful and empty at 8.30am for them picturesque pictures!

Really great tour, and the guid was so knowledgeable. Book ahead so as not to be disappointed and to get a time slot you want, lovely gift shop, and although the sign says no public toilets, there are toilets for those who book on to a tour you pay 50p for a token to use the loo and return the token when finished, it's opposite the gift shop through a turnstile, I did not know this and went down to the village and back to use the loos there but it's down hill and about a 20 min walk down and a hard walk back up.

What a fantastic place!! Absolutely loved looking round, especially after watching Gentleman Jack, which was filmed there. So much care and attention has gone into the upkeep of the house and gardens, which was a pleasure to see. Lots of really interesting and useful information all round the house. The staff were so lovely and helpful, and they have an incredible gift shop! Such fantastic value for money all round. A very special place to visit.

It is beautiful, interactive, smart and a learning space for children and adults. Make sure the adults have patience and the kids had a nap :)) There are endless activities!! The museum is right at the exit of the train station. There are picnic areas inside and out for own food, there is a cafe to buy warm/cold food, drinks and even ice cream. There’s also a sand pit outside. You can go in and out if you want, they will stamp your hand.

Went for Anastasia concert. This venue is uncovered except balcony so you need to make sure you well covered because you may be cold. I saw people with the blankets and I thought it was a good idea 😂. This place is just few minutes from the train station which makes it very accessible. There were lots of food and drinks places and the waits was not very long. The concert was great and accustic was good. Recommend this place but make sure you cover yourself well in case of rain.

Beautiful views and peaceful surroundings! The hike isn’t too hard — just the right amount of effort for amazing scenery. A perfect spot to enjoy nature and unwind. Highly recommend!

Absolutely marvelous! We took the factory tour, had a “Classic” Tea, then toured the V&A Museum. James and Peter our guides for the tours were outstanding and very knowledgeable. Leanne, who assisted use with our purchases was very helpful, patient with us, knowledgeable regarding shipping options. An unalloyed delight! We spent the entire day, learned a great deal and will be back for a pottery class!

Visited during half term with my 5 and 7 year old boys. We bought the tickets that gave entry to the aquapark and West midlands safari park which was a great deal in my opinion. The changing rooms were clean, showers were nice and hot. The pool was fantastic with a large variety of slides for all the family. My boys loved the rapids, I felt sick after going round and round 3 times in a row 🙃. The water temperature was fine, we were in there for around 4 hours and no complaints - this has been mentioned in some other reviews as an issue but it was fine for me. All in all, a great afternoon out and it wasn't antwhere as busy as I thought it could be!

A great place to wander around with over 100 monkeys roaming free. We spent a couple of hours watching them swinging through the trees, feeding, roaming around, some with babies on their backs. It's so nice to see them up close no bars or cages. The lovely thing is they all seem content to go about their business and wander up close to humans. The rangers do a great job of many sure the monkeys feel happy and the humans feel happy too 😊 answering questions and talking about monkey behaviour etc. There are a couple of play areas, a conservation area, gift shop and cafe. A great place to visit to see the monkeys up close.

Beautiful gardens, 15% off entry with the monkey forest ticket so both together came to like £20! So cheap for such a beautiful place. Amazing lake walk, option for a boat ride and good food options with the shopping village at the end. Recommend for a day out in summer!
