Lovely chapel at the top of a mountain. The view on sunny days is incredible, you can see as far as Strasbourg. Lots of pretty buildings to visit and learn about, the place oozes history. The café is very good, and for adventurers, take the path down to the natural water source. You can even drink the water, so fill your bottles before going for a walk!

Architectural wonders. I really surprised and wondered on this cathedral architecture. It amazing and look very nice. There is no entrance fee. But there is security and he will check your bags. Inside of the cathedral is also great. You will enjoy it. Everything about this cathedral is displayed on the screen inside the cathedral that really valuable. Not too crowded if you have patience you may get nice photos of the cathedral. In side there is clock and its make bell on specific time.

The overall experience is good but was busy. So many people always in the way. The history of it being built was very interesting. It's amazing that structures can remain in the same location basically untouched for such a long time. The clock in the back is a highlight that you don't see in any other churches.

On a foggy morning in November we o pop aid a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Strasbourg. We missed the morning opening time so we made sure we were standing in line for the afternoon opening hours. The queue, although long, moved quickly, and once inside we could see all of the stained glass windows and the mechanical clock in the far corner. We were there when the clock struck one o’clock - so not much movement on the animated figures at the top of the clock! The cathedral is worth a visit - even in winter!

We came for the Luminous exhibition in the evening. It was very beautiful, colorful and joyful with the show and the music in the background also was so beautiful. If you come for the show better come at least 20 minutes early to pick up the good seat. Totally recommend the show !

This place was awesome. The monkeys just walk around unbothered, the staff are super friendly and we caught it at a time when there were so many sweet babies to see. Be respectful and follow the rules... Some don't, which is unfortunate. These are wild animals not pets.

This is such a beautiful zoo. The monkeys are all roaming freely around and the staff is very friendly and answers all your questions. I can highly recommend

A very unique experience. The monkeys are uncaged in open areas. It is a very safe atmosphere. There are quite a few staff members monitoring and guiding us through our walk in the park. We are also informed on Do's and Dont's before we enter the park. It was really interesting to see the monkeys up close and they are also well behaved, doing their own thing. Free parking available onsite. There is a cafe/restaurant and a gift shop present here too. The staff are really kind and helpful.

It's a nice activity to do with children. From Selestat train station It's a 10 minute drive. If you don't have a acres, there is a bus (500) that will take you there . The monkeys trail took us around 30 minutes maximum, but outside, there is a cafeteria and a nice picnic area, and a great obstacle trail for kids, and a small playground. Overall our visit was around 3 hours. Beautiful forest. Stroller friendly.

Highly recommend! Lots of monkeys to see in a very beautiful and well kept forest. Aside from the animals there is also a really nice playground for older kids and a separate smaller one for younger kids. The whole family enjoyed it!

We visited on August 3rd for the “Breakfast with the Monkeys” experience – simply unforgettable! 🐒💫 You get to feed the free-roaming Barbary macaques and watch them playfully explore the forest up close. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and shares lots of fascinating information – you can tell they truly love their work and care for the animals. At the end, you even receive wonderful photos of your visit as a keepsake. The park is well-maintained, natural, and perfect for animal and nature lovers. Highly recommended!

This place is so beautiful it’s almost hard to believe people used to (and still do) live there. Every nook and cranny hides beautiful facades and picturesque displays of little shops and cafes. I’d recommend this gem over more popular European (and even French) destinations.

Fabulous place, plenty to see around every corner. The market hall was amazing and also there was an artisan fair on the day I visited. However it was difficult to find public toilets as the signage wasn’t clear enough.

This little town is something out of a fairytale! Definitely a Disney snow white feel. The buildings are beautifully decorated, the presentation of the town and the shopping was amazing! A must visit destination for a day trip!

Cute little Barvarian-style village, lots of neat places to shop and eat. The dish of the Alsace area is Tarte flambée (a flat, crispy crusted pizza) and it's available at almost every restaurant here.

This place is in a great location, but is very dirty and has broken doors, broken lights, a broken shower. It is a beautiful home on the outside, and is in a great location but it has been very poorly managed and neglected and it is obvious when you stay there. Great if all you care about is the location, but avoid it if you want to have a decent place to stay.

A "Real Eyeopener"! This compact "old town" area of Southeast Colmar is a place "not to be missed" by visitors! It gets its name due to the "historic houses" built on both sides of the small, meandering, Lauch River.... and the "fairy tale vibe". The area is wonderful to walk around-- and has cobbled streets, colourful "half-timbered" houses, and a "covered market". It can also be seen by boat. It has been awarded by TripAdvisor the esteemed "Certificate of Excellence". It is indeed well worth a visit. It is no wonder that it has been rated as one of the "top of places" to visit/things to do, while in Colmar. It will definitely add to one's memories of the visit. I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Lovely time walking around Home Little Venice there's so much more than the picturesque bridge's to see with a few lovely restaurants along the canal, and little boat trip back and forth . It's only a short walk from here to the indoor market . My recommendations would be early evening when all the lights come on for beautiful pictures .

Yesterday, my family and I visited Europa Park in Rust, Germany, one of the largest and most famous theme parks in Europe. The park is beautifully designed, with different sections representing various European countries, each offering unique rides, attractions, and delicious food options. We were impressed by the variety of cuisines available, allowing us to taste dishes from different cultures all in one place. The park is very well-organized, and the rides were absolutely thrilling well maintained and enjoyable for all ages. However, our experience wasn’t perfect. The biggest issue was the extreme heat and the lack of cooling systems in waiting areas, restaurants, and cafes. Unlike many other major theme parks around the world, Europa Park doesn’t seem to have AC, fans, or shaded cooling spots in queues or dining areas, which made the visit quite uncomfortable, especially under the scorching sun. Another downside was the behavior of some employees. At the Arthur ride, after finishing the attraction, we went to check our ride photos, and the staff member was extremely rude and disrespectful , speaking to us harshly simply because she claimed she couldn’t hear us properly even though we clearly stated our cart number. Later, in the Lindt chocolate shop (Switzerland Section), an employee gave us unwelcoming looks and side-eyes, likely because we wear hijabs. Her attitude made us so uncomfortable that we left without buying anything, despite our initial excitement to get some chocolates. Overall, Europa Park is a fantastic theme park with incredible rides, great food, and a well-structured layout. However, the lack of cooling systems in hot weather and the unprofessional behavior of some staff members really affected our experience. The park should improve guest comfort by adding fans or AC in waiting areas and train employees to be more respectful and inclusive toward visitors from all backgrounds.

First time at Europa Park and it definitely lived up to the hype. The park is huge, super clean and really well organized. My ride ranking: 1. Blue Fire was my absolute favorite. Smooth, fast and so much fun. I rode it twice and would have gone again if I could. 2. Voltron and Silver Star both came in close behind. Voltron’s launch is wild, and Silver Star’s height and airtime make it unforgettable. I also did both of these twice. 3. Wodan looks amazing but is way too loud and rough for my taste. 4. Euro Mir is a cool idea, but it just gives you a headache more than anything. Overall, an awesome park with tons to do and a great atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. There are so many different roller coasters and so many different stuff to do and the rides are incredible, best in the world. In the perfect condition so all the costers are very smooth which is very important. So you can enjoy entire day without having neck pain. I visited a few disneylands parks and in comparison this one is way nicer.

It’s amazing theme park, I think the best in Europe, the approach to disabled people is amazing and so respectful 🙏🏻 The only thing that really bother me is that people smoking all over the park and it’s so gross, please define some area for smoking and that’s all :) Why small kids need to breathe this poison? I thought Germany is more advanced in public health care 😅 how this is legal? Do the silver star it’s amazing!!

Beautiful, with several attractions for kids and adults. We started first attraction before 11:00, allthough official openkng was at 11:00. We also saw the parade of halloween which was nice. Did not have time for the shows as we wanted to do as many attractions as possible. Queue was also not too bad, except for few attractions , all others were below 30 min, some even below 10, we managed to do more then 20! Only Contra the parking places are so small that if you have a big car might be difficult to get out .

It was a very amazing experience in the hallowinter season ! There were many people but it was a public holiday in France so it's normal. The employees are very quick and gentle. You will not regret your experience in this park if you like coasters or not. There is some experiences for all the people.

Amazing visit to a magical park. The grounds were well maintained and beautifully decorated for fall and Halloween. There were lots of shows and activities to fill the day as well as rides. The wait times for the rides seemed pretty reasonable. Overall a great experience.

If you’re a fan of classic cars, this museum is a mustsee. The collection is vast and seems endless, with many beautifully preserved vintage models. During my visit, there was also a special Tintin exhibition, which made it even more enjoyable.

This was a quick day trip for us while staying in Basel. Amazing collection of automotive history and well worth spending a few hours to explore. The collection of cars from the Tintin books was very cool, particularly if you're a Tintin fan like me!

DEFINITELY A MUST if you're in Mulhouse area, east France. The fact that Musée National de l'Automobile has an collection of more than 400+ cars ranging from more than 100 years ago, is amazing itself. Not to mention they have probably the world most complete collection of Bugatti, like almost a hundred of them. And one of them in the Masterpiece area, the 1936 50T Cabriolet, is now the world most expensive vehicle, worth 100M Euro !!! The details of it, and the idea of building a luxury car back to almost 100 years ago, is really highly admired.

One of the best car museums i’ve ever been. It’s really worth every penny you’re paying for it. Tons of great, rare and unique pieces you will find there. Nice location, brilliant realisation. All cars are in good condition, and like in any other real museum, you can smell oil, gasoline and old leather from them. If you have kids or you just unbelievably love cars, you’ll be happy there

Millions of dollars worth of cars, and they couldn’t get a decent translator for the placards? Honestly it became kind of amusing just how bad the English translations were after a while. The cars are stunning, there is no denying that. Arguably the most complete collection of vintage Bugattis in the world (but surprisingly no modern ones - no Chiron, EB110, not even a Veyron? Maybe they’re locked away somewhere else) 1/4 of the cars in the main hall were covered in white drapes due to construction. To the contractors/ museum officials, I say to you: “ plastic sheeting comes in transparent forms”. Overall a vanity project of a (now dead) rich white guy but there’s some stellar automotive and racing history laid out in these rooms. You’re in Mulhouse, you’re likely gonna go.

Quite possibly one of the greatest car collections in the world. The outside is Beautifully presented... Upon entering the building you have no idea of how overwhelming this place can be. As you begin walking around and seeing a few cars you get lulled into it being a normal museum.... But then you walk into the room with a few Bugattis... You keep walking and seeing more Bugattis... Then you realise, one whole side is just Bugattis 🤯 Then you see the Bugatti Royale.. and realise hold on the have two Bugatti Royales 🤯 .. This place is crazy the sheer number of Bugattis and special cars is crazy... Then the story of the Schlumpf brothers ... Simply put, if you are a car lover you must come here... It's epic.. The shock value never diminishes even after multiple trips

One of the best car collections I have seen. From old to new and some extremely rare peices. We spent about 3 hours in here. There were lots of other things inside to keep children entertained too. There was a section all about Tintin which showed the different books and the cars linked to it which was nice. There was a driving simulator, small ride on cars and a vr F1 experience.

A large and very impressive place, with beautiful interior architecture. The main hall is stunning and worth the visit. However, the climb to the top is not particularly special. Once you reach the upper level, you can pay extra to go a bit higher, but it’s unnecessary and not worth the money. The stairs are narrow, making it extremely difficult to pass when people are coming in the opposite direction — the same problem on the way down. You can also see the bell up close, but be aware that the sound is deafening.

Freiburg Cathedral is absolutely beautiful, full of incredible details everywhere you look. The architecture is stunning. Every corner of the cathedral shows amazing craftsmanship. It’s truly a must-see! ✨

Cathedral’s history started being Romanesque church around 1200, transitioned to Gothic structure in 1250s (inspired by nearby Strasbourg cathedral) with West Tower being completed in 1330. While the city was heavily bombed in WW2, cathedral survived with minor damage (likely due to being notable landmark for Allied Bombers).

I love visiting Cathedrals! Each city has their own unique church and style and I just love the architectural designs on them! This one was one of my favorites! The interior was just breathtaking and you can tell how much effort went into the design because each statue is so intricate!

I became aware of Freiburger Münster on my first day in Freiburg. It's really hard to miss the sight of it. I visited it on my first night when it was lit up. The enormous size of it and amount of decorative detail left me speechless. One day I noticed that the front entrance was open for visitors, so I took the opportunity. I wasn't prepared for the grandure that awaited me inside. The vast volume of the interior left my mouth hanging open many times as I analyzed the columns and ceilings. I spent alot of time studying the stained glass windows which depict many vivid stories. What's great about the windows is that you absolutely can't experience them the same way from outside. The quality of light inside the cathedral, from the outside light when it hits the windows, is only fit for a structure this caliber. Please, out of respect, obey the signs and dont walk over or through the areas which are clearly marked off. Also, please dont take videos and photo's of the inside, just enjoy the experience of the moment.

Definitely worth the visit, the building is beautifully crafted. If you walk behind the building you will have an excellent view overlooking the River. Lots of people were having picnics and relaxing here.

Solo travelers are not allowed to climb the towers, for suicide prevention reasons. You can find another tourist and ask to accompany them, but without the employee seeing this. Don't let them know you are strangers. There's a small fee to climb the towers and it's well worth it. Basel Minster was built between the 11th and 16th centuries in a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. After the 1356 earthquake, it was significantly rebuilt incorporating Gothic elements such as pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and large stained-glass windows. The cathedral is made of red sandstone and is notable for its two main towers, St. George’s and St. Martin’s, and its patterned tile roof. The Minster served as the Catholic cathedral until the Reformation in 1529, after which it became a Reformed Protestant church. The Gallus Gate at Basel Minster is the oldest Romanesque figure portal in the German-speaking world, built around 1185. In the tympanum is Christ as Judge of the World, accompanied by Peter and a donor figure, while the lintel below shows the Parable of the Ten Virgins. During the Reformation in Basel (1529), iconoclasm took place at Basel Minster as part of the city’s shift from Catholicism to Protestantism. Religious images, statues, and altars that were seen as idolatrous were removed or destroyed. The interior today remains relatively bare compared to its original medieval design.

It was originally built in the 1000’s as a Roman Catholic Cathedral and became a Protestant church. There’s no fee to get in the church but there’s a fee to go up the top. Behind the church is the Rhine River.

Don’t miss the chance to reach the top of the church. While climbing, it might seem like you’ve reached the end, but be sure to check—there’s a good chance there’s a way to go even higher."

Had a free walk around then spotted people paying to go up the towers. We tried this for a small charge and it's well worth the steep steps to go to the 3 levels available. Bit tight at times depending on how many people go up but numbers are controlled.

A very beautiful and nice cathedral! You can have an amazing view over Basel from the top!

Basel Minster is absolutely worth a visit! I’ve climbed several church towers across Switzerland, but this one had the narrowest spire staircase I’ve ever squeezed through! It’s a bit of a tight spiral toward the top, but that only adds to the adventure. Once you reach the viewing platform, you’re rewarded with panoramic views of Basel, the Rhine, and even into France and Germany on a clear day. The cathedral itself is beautifully maintained, with intricate stonework and a peaceful courtyard. It’s a perfect mix of charm, challenge, and postcard-worthy scenery. Don’t miss it!

Outstanding camping ay Bankenhoff. You simply will not find a better campsite in Europe for amenities. 3 washing machines, 3 tumble dryers, Dishwasher and the best w Shower rooms and toilets in have ever come across. This is all topped off with great service from the staff

Wow. The fog over the lake was so majestic, and the town itself was very pretty. Also the ducks were friendly.

The village Titisee in Germany is a very neat nd tiny with hygiene sorrounding. It’s famous for CuCuo clock manafacture nd for sorrounding scenic beauty. It also lies along the Black Forest regions.

We don’t live nearby but we love when we get to come here! Titisee is a beautiful lake and place, perfect to relax, enjoy beautiful nature and appreciate the good things in life. And there are also so many things to do and visit nearby, it’s a wonderful destination. We already stayed at two hotels here and both were top notch, and the lake was as inviting each time. Beautiful!

A fabulous day out while only holiday from France very easy to find great roads if you have Motorcycle. One of the highest lakes in Germany .

It was wonderful great view on the lake from every restaurants hotels the ground and they had great boat service . The kids can also steal the boat with saftey vests on for protection and after a long day u can go to a nice restaurant and eat nicely and after have a ice cream if its warm .And after that u can go on a Ferris wheel with a great view on the lake and mountains ⛰️ u can also if u have furry friends u can take them on the ferris wheel 🎡 and on the boat 🚢 ride have fun on ur visit.

Visited during the winter off-peak season, so most of the stores were closed. But the views were still absolutely stunning! Everything was covered with a layer of snow, adding a touch of magic to the landscape.

If you love historic buildings, Bern’s Old City is a must-see. The medieval architecture is stunning, and the streets are beautifully clean and well-organized. Shops are thoughtfully placed, so you can enjoy the views while exploring. A truly charming and unforgettable experience!

In my opinion, Bern's old town is one of the most beautiful and compact in the world. Its specialty is the arcades formed by the old buildings lining the streets. The arcades are lined with shops, restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc. It is worth walking around the old town, also along the banks of the Aare River, and climbing to the Rosengarten to admire the magnificent view of the old town. Every time I visit Bern I feel amazed.

LOVE this pretty place! So historic and colorful, tons of lovely photo spots! Love the iconic fountain and huge clock tower, as well as all the cute trains and buses that came in different shapes and sizes 🚂🚌🇨🇭❤️. Was glad I dropped by Bern - after all it’s the capital of Switzerland, and a must drop by imo, even if it’s for a short day trip! 😆 I was really happy to be here 🥰👍.

A beautiful town, probably the nicest in Switzerland. In the morning it is less crowded and the streets are well conserved. The prices are really high, which makes the costs hardly affordable for foreigners

You are unwinding the clock back 500 years ago to experience the lifestyle in medieval time. The old street (made of sandstones), clock tower, cathedral surrounded by garden and river are breathtaking.

Beautiful and quaint little old town in the capital of Switzerland! I got there early so the streets were rather empty and it was nice taking a slow stroll down this street. The street was lined with familiar brands/shops, the trams ran down both sides and I almost felt like I was transported back to medieval times - except the modern shops bring me back to the present. If you walk further down, you’ll end up at the Bear Pit, another little tourist attraction of Bern.

Stunning place, absolutely amazing. Even though it was a rainy morning, the view over the falls and around was breathtaking. I bought boat ride tickets online, but I couldn't use them because our bus tour arrived too early and we only stayed for one hour. There is a very pleasant promenade with benches to rest on, multiple viewing platforms, a couple of gift shops, and several toilet facilities.

It is a beautiful waterfall. I came to it with the knowledge that it is Europe's largest and most powerful waterfall but when I saw it I was not impressed at all. Compared to the major waterfalls in other continents, it is not that large or powerful. But it is beautiful. And the walkway that leads to it is fine. There is plenty of water and it is so beautifully blue. The foamy water under the waterfall is nice to see. And there are quite a few waterbirds there such as gulls.

The Rhine Fall offer a truly spectacular natural experience. We have visited several times and we loved it everytime. Until now, we have always chosen the entrance via Laufen Castle, which features a panoramic trail and a viewing platform situated halfway down. A staircase leads directly to the base of the falls, and after passing through a short tunnel carved into the rock, visitors can admire the waterfall from an impressive side vantage point. Watching the immense volumes of water cascade downward is endlessly captivating — a sight that draws us back time and again. I can also recommend to enjoy the boat ride to the Fall. It‘s a great experience!

Absolutely breathtaking! The view of Rheinfall is simply amazing—powerful, majestic, and unforgettable. Whether you're standing on the viewing platform or taking a boat ride close to the falls, the experience is incredible. Nature at its finest!

A wonderful creation of nature and if you are in Zurich i would recommend having a visit to Rhine falls. It is easily accessible via train and there is a train station that gets you right to the viewing point of rhine falls. You have to buy a ticket to enter the falls which was around 5CHF at the ticket vending machine located there. No need to prebook the tickets. Then you have to take some steps down thus a small walk will take you to the viewing platform of this huge waterfall. You will feel the mist as the water power is really great at the viewing platform. There are several boat services which you can hop on to on an extra cost and will take you closer to the falls.

A must-visit Swiss landmark! Plan at least half a day, walk down from the castle to the waterfall, enjoy the view at various view points, take a boat tour with an audio guide, have a bite, walk back around the waterfall and over the bridge. Visit after a heavy rain when the waterfall has lots of water. Try to come during the week when it’s less busy. There is a little tourist train going around the waterfall and showing some of Schaffhausen. Very easily accessible by car or by train.

An absolutely breathtaking experience! Rhine Falls is a spectacular natural wonder—powerful, majestic, and beautifully accessible. The viewing platforms offer stunning perspectives. A must-visit if you're in Switzerland!

Like many other reviews of this place - great steak, poor service. We arrived towards the closing of this restaurant around 10:45pm but were welcomed in after the waiter checked the time. This changed quickly however when we ordered - the staff hurried us out the restaurant by packing up every single table around us, moving our items off of an adjacent table to close up, and even asking to give us our bill rather than the other way round. Did not feel like well looked-after customers when many other bars and restaurants in the same street were full of patrons at this time and not rushing them at all. The steak and quality of food was brilliant, but the service needs a lot of improvement else would not return again.

We visited Steak House Old Town without ordering any beef, and overall, the experience was just average. Chicken Breast: Unfortunately, this was a letdown. It was quite dry and tough to chew, lacking the tenderness you'd expect. Grilled Salmon: Decent, but nothing memorable. It was cooked fine, though not particularly flavorful. Duck: Also just okay. It didn’t stand out, but it wasn’t bad either. Sides: The sides were the highlight of the meal. The potato with sour cream was excellent—creamy and well-seasoned. The spinach was fresh and tasty, and the fried sweet potato was crispy and satisfying. Soup: We tried the coconut soup. It was rich and creamy, but the coconut flavor was overpowering, making it a bit too intense for our taste. Service was fine, and the ambiance was cozy, but based on the dishes we tried, we wouldn’t rush back. Perhaps the beef options are better, given it's a steakhouse.

Super good steak for a reasonable price - meat was soft and juicy. Meat was served on a hot plate, so every bite was fresh and hot! Staff was super nice and friendly, made us feel very welcomed :)

Best steak I've ever had! While walking along the street In Zurich to find somewhere for dinner we happened upon this restaurant where we could smell the mouthwatering steak before seeing it. A quaint little restaurant with a lovely outside seating area where you cook your steak on a hot stone.. having been on a train all day from Vienna we were ravenous so decided to go for the Tomahawk for 2 and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The most amazing juicy steak we have ever had!!! And even though the steak by itself was more than enough for 2 people.. the complimentary sides of veg and rosemary potatoes were incredible! Even though the food was sensational the service outshone it, never once did our glasses get slightly empty and the staff were incredible and so helpful with any questions asked about Zurich in general! Could not recommend this place more! Definitely worth a visit!!

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke) in Lucerne. It was a beautiful evening, and the entire setting felt almost magical. The iconic wooden bridge, with its charming roof and historic paintings, reflected perfectly in the calm waters of the Reuss River—making it one of the most picturesque spots we’ve seen in Switzerland. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere around the bridge. As we walked through, the gentle lighting and the flower decorations along the bridge added to the charm. Right nearby, the Old Town was buzzing with life. The streets were lively with cafés, restaurants, and little shops, making it a joy to stroll through. The blend of history, culture, and energy gave the whole area a very warm and welcoming vibe. Walking across the bridge and then meandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Town felt like stepping into a postcard. The combination of medieval architecture, colorful buildings, and the vibrant evening atmosphere made the entire experience unforgettable. If you are in Lucerne, visiting Chapel Bridge is absolutely a must-do, especially in the evening when the city lights and reflections on the river create such a breathtaking scene. It’s not just a landmark—it’s a place that captures the heart and soul of Lucerne.

Chapel Bridge lives up to the hype being the most iconic outdoor attraction in Lucerne. Pictures of the bridge from the river shore streets are more scenic than photos taken from the bridge itself. Given that fire of 1993 destroyed at least two thirds of the bridge, don’t expect too much from exposed paintings. Fortunately, Water Tower was spared and bridge was rebuilt and reopened in 8 months carefully reconstructed to preserve historic details.

Beautiful bridge which has significant history; there had been a fire in the 90's but apart from some blackened sections it had been repaired. It was not crowded. It provided lovely views of the mountains, lake and Luzern itself. The wood is lovely and the craftsmanship is evident everywhere with examples of quality joinery etc. It's a short walk from the main railway station. I found it peaceful and calming. We were out of season.

It is a very nice, special place, always beautiful the flowers at the bridge. Mass tourism, a photogenic square, easily accessible from the train station and ship station.

If you're in or neat Lucerne Mount Pilatus is a must see. I took the train from Lucerne to Alpnachstad and then took the cog train up the mountain. I had absolutely perfect weather and the views were stunning. There is a restaurant multiple lookout points and a few trails I hiked. I then took the gondola down the other side of the mountain. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views all around. Be careful about visiting during spring, as parts of the viewing decks may be closed because of snow as late as early june in my experience. The facilities are new and very nice. I would recommend to take the cog rail up, and the gondola down the mountain for the best experience. Worth every penny.

My visit to Mount Pilatus was absolutely unforgettable! The entire journey — from the climb up through stunning mountain landscapes to the breathtaking views at the top — felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The combination of thrilling rides, fresh mountain air, and panoramic scenery makes it a must-visit destination in Switzerland. The facilities are well-organized, clean and tourist-friendly. The staff were helpful and very professional, making the experience smooth from start to finish. Whether you take the world’s steepest cogwheel railway or the aerial cableways, the adventure is incredible in every way. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland — Mount Pilatus truly feels like being on top of the world!

What a spectacular place! If you are visiting Switzerland, spend some hours at Mt. Pilatus. I took the steap railway to the top, but you can also choose to hike.

Mount Pilatus was definitely a highlight of the trip to Switzerland. The weather in mid September was cooperative (it was as warm and sunny on the mountain as in Lucerne). Classic trip as advised: bus, cable cars to the mountain and trip back via cog-wheel train and lake cruise ending in Lucerne. Nature beauty is unreal, hiking a few paths at the top (paved or stairs) is almost a must. Utter surprise how tasty were the local beef hot dogs at the fast food joint on the mountain.

Visiting Schilthorn Piz Gloria was absolutely one of the highlights of my trip. The cable car ride itself was an incredible experience, smooth, comfortable, and offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. As we ascended, the scenery just kept getting more and more spectacular. At the top, the weather was perfect, which made the whole experience even more magical. The 360° views from Piz Gloria are truly stunning with snow-capped peaks, valleys, and endless mountain ranges that leave you speechless. The Bond-themed touches add a fun and unique twist to the visit, but the natural beauty alone is worth every penny. It’s not just a sightseeing trip, it’s an unforgettable adventure. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, I can confidently say this was worth every moment and every cent. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Switzerland!

Somewhat pricey to take the gondola up to the top, but it's well worth it for the views. There is a bunch of James Bond history and plaquards. But the views alone are breathtaking. You should fefinitely wait for a clear day, othe you'll just be looking at the fog.

Break taking views! Certain areas were under construction, but it did not take away from our experience. Be sure to walk out to the point and enjoy time in one of the viewing boxes.

Was the filming location of a 007 movie. Granted it is not as high as Jungrafraujoch, but the views are equally fantastic. Highly recommended to make a trip here. There is a rotating restaurant at the tower area also as well that serves very decent buffet lunch.

Great experience. The cable car on the first stretch is supposedly the steepest in the world. Remembered to include the 9 Euro cheese / cold cut option, which is served at the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant. It comes with a drink and there was plenty of food to fill us up. And it tasted good, too. So pretty much a no-brainer. The view from the top was great. Unfortunately clouds descended while we were there and it even started to hail. Which kind of added to the whole experience. Some cool James Bond stuff - check out the bathroom mirrors! Unfortunately quite a lot of construction going on, which detracted from the whole experience. Will still give it 5 stars, but probably more like 4.5 due to construction, high cost and a very unpleasant guy in the ticket booth. Everything else was perfect and definitely an experience. Now back in the US and planning on watching On Her Majesty’s Secret Service tonight 😊

My less-than-ideal rating was solely due to the unfortunate timing of my visit. Otherwise, I would have missed the opportunity to go altogether. It was a heavily overcast day, because of that, I skipped exploring Birg and went straight up to Schilthorn instead. On top of the poor weather, Schilthorn was still under construction. After a quick browse through the gift shop, a short walk around the outdoor deck, and a light snack at the restaurant, it was already time to head back down. I’d have to return someday to truly experience the full beauty of this attraction. Hopefully on a clear day and once the construction is finally complete.

The views are priceless and it's definitely worth it to go! However, be warned that getting around through the construction is extremely difficult. It look 20 minutes to figure out how to go down to the Walk of Fame and the View Lounges. That, for me, was the best part. It's away from the hordes of people fighting to get the best selfie and closer to nature. You can see forever! The best time to go is usually between 15:00-18:00 in the summer (weather permitting) because the clouds tend to lift around that time.

Beautiful stunning lake with breathtaking view of the alps. There are boat rides available if you are so inclined. Really lovey pristine lake with a magnificent view.

It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the whole of Europe, in my opinion. Obviously, the Alps on one side and Lucerne city on the other side give it ample backdrop for those picture-perfect photographs, but still :) Do not miss the boat rides available from Lucerne harbor. You'll thank me when you take one :)

The lake is absolutely stunning, with calm, clear water. The view feels like something out of a dream, peaceful and unforgettable. Especially loved the yellow bench by the lake side.

Located in the middle of Lucerne city, surrounded by the beautiful Alps Hills. Lake Lucerne is a very picturesque one, probably one of the most beautiful lake in Switzerland. Also is one of the main attractions of Lucerne (while it also has become one of the most recognizable images of the country). It is a symbol of the city and gives a sublime beauty on sunny days. Especially when even the nearby peaks are still snow-covered and can be seen in the background the Pilatus, majestic. There are many boats that allow you to traverse the lake and cross from one bank to another or even cruise excursions to nearby towns. It's a pretty big lake reaching over 210 meters. PS:- Highly Recommended for taking a boat tour around it to enjoy the tranquil beauty it holds.

Absolutely breathtaking. The top of Europe it prides itself as. 3475M of elevation. A must visit if you're in Grindelwald. You have to change trains twice to get up here but the views are amazing. Theres different stations that you can go to and there's an ice station as well. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here.

It’s the kind of place that makes you whisper “wow” before you even realize you’re doing it. That said, the experience is very tourist-oriented — and I say that with both appreciation and a smile. On the one hand, it’s impressive how accessible everything is: tunnels, elevators, shops, cafés, even an ice palace. The Swiss engineering behind this mountaintop infrastructure deserves applause. On the other hand, the sheer number of visitors can make you feel like you’ve taken a scenic detour through a luxury shopping mall at 3,500 meters. And then there’s the crowd itself — a fascinating, unstoppable wave of excited tourists from all over the world. You haven’t truly experienced the Jungfraujoch until you’ve seen a group of people taking selfies in sneakers at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level. It’s equal parts surreal and entertaining — like a nature documentary directed by Wes Anderson. All in all, the Jungfraujoch remains an unforgettable experience. It’s beautiful, over-the-top, slightly chaotic, and absolutely worth it. Absolutely stunning, snow all round the year, less tourist compared to Titlis. A nice tour route set up. You will clearly need 5 hrs and more if you want to enjoy every spot at your pace. The snowtubing and sledging were absolute fun. 20 CHF for Half hour and unlimited rides. Ice palace was beautifully carved. The hot chocolate shop at Aletsch glacier was yummy. Point to note- you have to walk a lot there, but for older people and people who are unable to walk a lot, there are places to sit in the warmth of the tunnel and enjoy the views.

An absolute must see if you're in the Jungfrau region. The views of the Alps are unreal. The viewing platform at the Sphinx and the area with the flags lower down give the best photo opportunities. The ice sculptures are worth checking out.

The number one attraction as well as the most expensive attention in all of Switzerland. It cost about $500 usd for two people. The gondola ride up is amazing and the best cable car ride in the world. After the cable car you arrive at eigen glacier which is also very beautiful, then you take the train up to jungfraujoch and the train stops in the middle for you to see another glacier. Once you’re at the top there are several stations you can take a look at most of which can be seen in the photos I posted. You’ll also want to check their public webcam to make sure the weather is good on the day you come.

Beautiful mountains. There are many activities. Suspension bridge, glacier cave,cliff walk etc. I visited in the mid of August. Because of rain and fog they closed Suspension bridge. Cliff walk also not done, Because of poor visibility. We should avoid visiting if the weather is bad. But the cable car ride was too good I could not take pictures much Because of the weather. They have restaurant in the 2nd floor. , coffee station, souvenir shop etc. One should wear good layers even in summer time. Because it's cold on top of the hills. Carry umbrella, rain coat, gloves.

Good but not great. Titlis is widely popular as a budget friendly alternative to expensive Jungfraujoch which results in huge crowds coming here even on weekdays. The rotating cable car is always overcrowded. On the top level, there are activities like 'I love Titlis' photospot, Titlis cliff walk, Ice caves with ice sculptures and DDLJ cutout for Indians. Ice Flyer requires an extra ticket to be purchased. However will not recommended it as crowd spoils everything here. The restaurant on top is good and you can also bring packed food and eat in seating area there enjoying stunning views from windows. On first level from where you change to Rotating cable car there is snow park which has activities like snow tubing and sledging which are free. I enjoyed snow tubing it was great fun and a must do. There is also free shuttle service from Engleberg station to Titlis base. One star deducted for excessive crowds. The snow on top is very very slippery so mind your steps. If you are looking for privacy and calm experience, I would recommend to skip Titlis and go to other swiss snow mountains like Schilthorn, Matterhorn glacier paradise, Gornergrat Matterhorn or Glacier 3000 which are less crowded.

It was an unforgettable experience for me. Enjoyed the journey from Zurich to Mount Titlis. Cable car and rotating Gondola ride was exciting. Experiencing the Glacier cave was amazing. Enjoyed every second during my trip to Mount Titlis. While descending also visited the lake in between. Lake and the surrounding was serene. I had booked my journey from Zurich HB station. There is information center. People there are very friendly to assist. I shall cherish this memory lifelong.

Under Construction and lot of space reserved and restricted, few restaurants space used by few people as prayer room… restaurants views also obstructed…. Construction will complete somewhere in 2026-2027. Single photo on ice flyer and clif walk cost 19 CHF. Few other places are also closed and under renovation… snow park is not active… on lake should have installed paddle boat so people not expert can enjoy and sign board says on own risk….

Super impressive to see a glacier with your own eyes. It's well managed and completely safe. You could potentially go with just a T-shirt if the weather is above 0° in the summer but I jacket is recommend.

We visited the Sacra Monte with 20 chapels that recreate the life if St Francis of Assisi. Very nice and easy to walk once you drive up. Had great views of the lake island and areas.

Beautiful spot to visit, hike, relax and honestly what ever you feel like to do. There is some much to do here. It's very relaxing to be at as it's not so busy and if it's busy it's easy to get away. Scenery is amazing. Breath taking. Stunning. See pictures. I recommend definitely to try to be on the lake either by boat or kayaks.

What a beautiful place

Lake Orta (Italian: Lago d’Orta) is a lake in northern Italy, west of Lake Maggiore. It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called the Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius (4th century), the patron saint of the region. Its southern end is about 35 kilometres (22 miles) by rail, to the northwest of Novara on the main Turin-Milan line, while its north end is about 6 kilometres (4 miles) by rail south of the Gravellona-Toce railway station, halfway between Ornavasso and Omegna. Its scenery is characteristically Italian, while the San Giulio island has some very picturesque buildings, and takes its name from the local saint, who lived in the 4th century. Located around the lake are Orta San Giulio, built on a peninsula projecting from the east shore of the lake, Omegna at its northern extremity, Pettenasco to the east, and Pella to the west. It is supposed that the lake is the remnant of a much larger sheet of water by which originally the waters of the Toce flowed south towards Novara. As the glaciers retreated the waters flowing from them reduced, and were gradually diverted into Lake Maggiore. The inaugural European Rowing Championships were held on Lake Orta in 1893. A frequent ferry service connects towns and villages around the lake.

Be aware: Your ferry ticket will not cover the palace and gardens. These cost an additional 13€ per person. That said, the gardens make for a lovely walk, and the peacocks are a delightful addition. They're friendly enough to approach crowds (and we sat beside one as we enjoyed a drink at the cafe.) The path is often steep however, and contains a large number of stairs, which might cause difficulties for some visitors. Also, the palace is littered with crude waxworks dummies, which made it more like a House of Horrors than a museum.

This place is of timeless beauty, it is extraordinary and absolutely deserves to be visited. Pause to read next to each exhibited object, you will be captured by the details that at first sight the eye cannot focus. On the effigy of the Borromeo we read "humulitas", it certainly makes a little smile, in all my life I have never seen so much pomp. Very beautifull! Strongly recommended.

Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Madre, situated on Lake Maggiore, is a serene 16th-century residence reflecting the private life of the Borromeo family. Its elegant rooms feature antique furnishings, tapestries, and a remarkable puppet theatre with one of the world's most extensive collections. Surrounding the palace is an eight-hectare English-style botanical garden, home to rare plants, ancient wisteria, and Europe's largest Kashmir cypress. Free-roaming peacocks and exotic birds enhance the island's tranquil charm. A visit offers a harmonious blend of art, history, and nature.

Worth the visit! We visited Palazzo Boromeo on our half-day tour of the Borromean islands. We bought a ferry ticket dockside in Stresa for 2 islands (Isola Madre and Isola Pescatore). I really liked this palace for three reasons. 1) It felt lived in and loved by its inhabitants. There were tableaux with furnishings, paintings and statues of men and women dressed in typical aristocratic clothes of the day. It wasn't glamorous or gilded everywhere ~ that kind of opulence is what you'll find on Isola Bella, should you decide to go there. 2) There is an extensive puppet theatre exhibit in a wing of the palace. At least 6 rooms are devoted to the puppets, scenery and costumes from their theatrical productions. I felt this was truly unique and unexpected. 3) The magnificent Cypress from Kashmir. The tree was restored to standing after a struck down during a storm. Also, the botanical gardens are lovely, and the peacocks and pheasants who make their home on the grounds.

Palazzo Borromeo dell'Isola Madre is one of the residences of the Italian noble family Borromeo (i.e. Palace on Isola Bella, Castle Rocca di Angera, Borromeo Palace at Milan, Castello Borromeo in Peschiera). Family paintings, tapestries, pieces of furnitures, works of art, objects that belonged to members of the Borromeo family,.. all take us back in time and we discover the history of this great family and its influence in the Valdossola/Lake Maggiore region and Milan between the 14th century and 17th century, when the Borromeo were able to gain control of many fiefs în the region. The Borromeo family tree includes important names that have marked the social and political life of the Northern region of Italy throughout its nearly 4 centuries of glorious existence. The influence of the noble Borromeo family reached the Catholic Church as well, where they showed devotion and held important positions. The best known members of the family were the cardinals and archbishops of Milan, Carlo (1538–1584), who was canonized by Pope Paul V in 1610, and Federico (1564–1631), who founded the Ambrosian Library. Carlo Borromeo, (1538, Arona–1584, Duchy of Milan) was an archbishop of Milan, cardinal, important representative of the Counter-Reformation, canonized as a saint in 1610. He is celebrated on 4 November (Roman Catholic calendar). During the plague epidemic of 1576–1578 he became involved in the pastoral care of the sick, which affected his own health. He died at the age of 46. He is the patron saint of the University of Salzburg. In popular Catholic religiosity he is considered a defender against the plague. Numerous churches, especially in northern Italy and Austria, bear his name, as: -The Church of St. Charles Borromeo in the Central Cemetery in Vienna, with the crypt of the Austrian presidents (foreground) -The Church of St. Charles Borromeo in central Vienna, a masterpiece of Austrian Baroque -The Church of San Carlo alle Mortelle in Naples. Federico Borromeo (1564–1631), Italian cardinal, Archbishop of Milan, and prominent figure of the Counter-Reformation in Italy. His acts of charity, particularly during the famine of 1627–28, and his devoted heroism in the plague of 1630 are well known. He was a great patron of the arts and he founded in 1609 the Ambrosian Library, one of the first free public libraries in Europe. The Pinacoteca Ambrosiana is one of the most famous art collections in Italy, including masterpieces such as Leonardo's Portrait of a Musician, Caravaggio's Basket of Fruit, Raphael's preparatory cartoon for The School of Athens, Titian's Adoration of the Magi, the Madonna del Padiglione by Botticelli and numerous examples of the famous vases of flowers painted by Jan Brueghel, Borromeo's lifelong friend. As patron of the arts, Federico Borromeo participated in the embellishment of the Duomo di Milano, where he is buried. As cardinal, Federico Borromeo participated in the papal conclaves of 1590, 1591, 1592, 1605 and 1623. His attendance in the first conclave of 1590 at the age of 26 made him one of the youngest Cardinals to participate in the election of a pontiff. The garden of the Palace has his own history... but what we see today is a splendid botanical garden with countless varieties of plants, trees and shrubs.

The palace is magnificent and definitely worth a visit. But the real highlight is the gardens — they’re absolutely dreamy! Vast, stunning, immaculately maintained, and home to an impressive variety of plants and trees. It’s the kind of place where you want to stroll slowly and take in the beauty around you. Truly worth the visit!

Really worth visiting but it's a long uphill walk. Great exercise and you can treat yourself to a drink or food when you reach the top if you think you've lost lots of calories on the way up. Lots of history, beautiful views. Finding a car parking space was a challenge but definitely worth the effort & stress.

Sacro Monte is a world class experience not yet overrun by tourism, and unbelievably its free! The hour's walk from the carpark reveals the story of Jesus through 14 chapels with life sized vignettes created centuries ago. It gets steep in parts but there is a pebbled path the whole way. The view from the top is a fitting reward. A vernacular is available for those who are physically challenged. Catch the C Bus from Varese to Prima Capella (end destination). Pay 1.60 euros on board with coins or card.

Just breathtaking. It's a holy town, a destination for pilgrimages for people around, and it's full of history and charmingly picturesque. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, walking through the winding stepped streets, finding its hidden secrets. We have driven all the way up by car, but beware, the parking is very limited, there might be around 50 parking spaces max for visitors. And the vistas from the top overlook the landscape for 20km around, it's magical!

Great place to visit for the views & history. We got the bus (Line C) up from Varese town centre to the top of the hill then took the funicular up to Sacro Monte itself. Gorgeous views out over the hills, lakes & Varese itself. Lots of historic buildings & churches at the top. We walked back down the pilgrimage route passing the 14 chapels/shrines along the way. Well worth a visit.

Stunning Sacro Monte di Varese, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where we explore its beautiful chapels and breathtaking views. The Path of the Chapels is an uphill climb of about 2 kilometers (about 1.2 miles), though it feels much longer when you are walking it, as it zig-zags you up by 245 meters (about 804 ft.) and can be a little steep in places. Each chapel is frescoed inside, and sometimes outside, and filled with sculptures illustrating scenes from Jesus’ life.

Amazing, dramatic - yet not too taxing - climb up via 14 elegant 17thC chapels on wide path to reach spectacular hilltop village based around convent. Incredible views across Varese lakes and heavily wooded hills and valleys. Stunning.

Beautiful place UNESCO site , steep climb or take the Funacular , you can get a bus to funacular which takes you up to the village . Check the opening days and times for Funacular

Lake Lugano is a very scenic place for a day trip. It is located near the border of Italy and Switzerland. Hence, the architecture there are so Italian and even the locals, they speak Italian. Very special!

A beautiful lake surrounded by mammoth green mountains and delivering a perfect blue and green view with some white snow capped mountains at the back. Quaint & fabulous environment with great view and some amazing coffee and ice cream parlours and cafes. One of the highlights of our Swiss visit.

Most beautiful lake and gorgeous mountain views. Highly recommend visiting if in Lugano. There is a pier you can walk through with boats for renting, delicious gelato, or benches for enjoying the view.

Great mix of animals in the safari. If you get the train you can feed the animals! Little girl loved it.

The Pombia Safari Park is a wonderful place to watch animals freely roaming around instead of being confined in cages. It’s truly enjoyable to observe them in a more natural environment. The beautiful giraffes are especially captivating, and I was really impressed by the lemurs. Overall, there are quite a lot of different animal species, and it’s fascinating to watch them in the safari setting.

Super safari with the car, seeing a lot of animals closeby. Afterwards, we visited the park, had some lunch and refreshed in the water park.

Initially I felt this was expensive at 26 euros per adult, but it's really not when compared with similar attractions elsewhere. There's a lot here, particularly on the safari route itself - we did this on the train, which took 45 minutes and would recommend this option. There are parts of the park that look a little tired, but also effort going into upgrading. It was quiet on our visit today, and plenty of staff around. Overall, a good day out with a young child and would recommend.

Nice museum with several exhibits. Also has gorgeous views of lake como. There is also a restaurant to grab some lunch. It was not crowded when we visited also there was no line to buy tickets. Worthwhile visiting the villa.

An absolute architectural, botanical and historical marvel of the last 500 years. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous - fountains sculptures, and perfectly manicured floral heaven. The garden is truly remarkable with how much variety of plants there are and also the way it's been maintained. For the building itself, nothing short of extraordinary - the design and architecture is impressive. There is so much history and craftsmanship behind this place.

Inside and out Villa Carlotta was a joy to visit. We loved the art work inside the villa. Be sure o look up as many of the rooms are adorned with frescos and or reliefs. The grounds are a botanical wonder with species brought in from around the world.

Must see! Great place to visit, beatiful inside, many sculpture, paintings few rooms with furniture with very great conditions. Amaizing garden around, it takes 2-3 hours to visit and see all villa and garden. Beautyful view from balcony for Como lake.

Beautiful villa with stunning lake views and lush gardens. The inside has some impressive art and sculptures, but the real highlight is walking through the gardens, peaceful and scenic, a perfect spot to slow down and take in the beauty of Lake Como.

Lovely visit especially enjoyed the extensive gardens, agricultural history and interactive commentary in our language about basement life at the Villa. Reasonable €15 entrance (€13 for over 65s) Luggage lockers were helpful. Bistro service for 2 hot drinks was slow on the day(20/8/25) as they seemed short-staffed.

I have no words. Grand, classy, ​​green. Bamboo plants, very tropical. The great beauty of a sea of ​​over 150 species of plants. All this is combined with the view of Lake Como, which is open from almost every point of Villa Carlotta. Very good restaurant.

It’s a very beautiful garden right on the lake. I don’t mind paying 10€ just to walk through the park because it does take some work to maintain the garden. It’s a nice place, there’s a museum too. However you cannot enter the main villa and it’s just not that amazing overall. It’s still a great place to be away from the touristy centro of Bellagio

Beautiful place for a 45-60 minute walk, to have the full experience. Nice walking paths along the garden with various plants and trees. All this goes along the Como lake waterfront.

Opening hours are daily 10 am to 6:30 pm. The gardens are closed in the winter time. In 2025 it will close on Oct 31st and will reopen in March 2026. Cost is 10€ you buy tickets at the gates. 2 gates entry one on each side. Located in the town of Bellagio on lake como. Parking is limited as the town of Bellagio is very popular in the summer.

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and so well cared for. Everywhere you look, there’s beautiful greenery and an incredible variety of trees. It’s such a peaceful, stunning place to walk through. If you’re visiting Bellagio, this is a must see. I highly recommend making time for a visit.

Villa Melzi is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The gardens are immaculate, peaceful, and filled with stunning colors, especially in spring. Every path reveals something new—ancient trees, vibrant flowers, classical statues, and breathtaking views of the lake. The atmosphere is serene and elegant, perfect for a relaxing stroll or quiet reflection. The neoclassical villa adds a timeless charm, and the small museum and chapel offer fascinating historical insight. The combination of nature, art, and history is truly unique. It felt like walking through a living painting.

Visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Como was an unforgettable experience. The architecture is breathtaking — a perfect blend of Gothic strength and Renaissance grace. Every detail, from the grand façade to the colorful stained glass, tells a story of faith, art, and history. Inside, the peaceful atmosphere and the play of light through the windows create a sense of timeless beauty. Absolutely worth visiting — a masterpiece that captures the soul of Italy.

Very interesting. But what I would like is a MAP of the figures on the OUTSIDE of this structure. Clearly there are some very unique figures (not usually seen on churches), like Pliny the Younger. I would like to know more about the why each of these figures/animals were chosen and why they were placed in their current location. The construction of this Cathedral was begun in 1396 and over 300 years combined Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. What is interesting is that the cathedral in Milan was just begun 10 years before. There is a timeline of events related to the Cathedral di Sant Maria Assunta, is located inside, which is informative.

I was surprised by this duomo. It is very well preserved and has an interesting way of keeping the parishioners and tourists separated while not strongly impacting either. This is the only catholic church I have been in that has the old style offering candles. Finally, make sure to take in the ceiling. The use of blue is rare.

This cathedral is one of the most beautiful for sure I have ever seen. You can enter inside for free and also you can admire its beauty from the cafe across it. Order an aperol and enjoy stunning view. Dolce far niente 🇮🇹

The cathedral is within walking distance from the train station. It is open to tourists for praying and picture taking M-S. You can get closer to the altar past the rope to pray only. Beautiful church!

The Duomo di Como is a beautiful cathedral with a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The outside is impressive, and the square around it makes it even more special. Inside, the stained glass windows, frescoes, and intricate decorations are amazing – I could stay for hours just admiring every detail. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the art. Definitely a must-visit in Como!

Went in mid April when there was still snow covering the top of the mountains and it was great fun! Experience: Friendly staff, hassle free. We checked in, filled in some details, got kitted up just before you ‘fly’ and we were away. Double/joint flight: Slightly cheaper than two singles and good laugh for couples/friends or family. There’s a 180kg limit and they weigh you just before your first flight. One top one bottom flyer, you can’t swap as it’s different kit. I’d recommend the top being the slightly taller just so you get more visibility of the mountainside over the other person. You do two flights, one down slightly less fast, then get a minibus in a small group to your second flight and you end where you started! Whole thing takes about 30 minutes Travel: We drove up, there’s free but limited parking right by the office, it’s not far from Lake Como (it took us under 2hrs and we were in Lezzeno). Fell 60ft into the Bitto valley and passed away. But crews very nice, can't really say it's worth the money because I can't be with my family now. If you don't have anyone waiting for you, absolutely recommend 💖

It was an amazing adventure! Very secure and the staff speaks a decent English. We found a car park easily but there are not many parking spots available! Keep it in mind and arrive a bit early if needed

This was a lot of fun! It’s such a long zip-line, that during the flight you have plenty time to look around and you’ll feel like a bird flying between the mountains. The staff at this place is friendly, professional and most speak good English. I recommend you ask for safety glasses if you don’t wear your own (sun)glasses or have contact lenses, this to prevent your eyes from tearing up and maybe loosing your lenses ;) also makes it easier to look around you.

Two hours of waiting and being told that we could start in 20 minutes over and over so that we couldn't do anything else in the meantime. They could have easily called us beforehand, too because they knew they had a delay since the morning hours. No price reduction. A free foto was the least they could do. The flight was great though, but not that exciting. Do it for the view, not the kick.
