Lovely place ….unfortunately the Castle cannot be visited. You can only enjoy some food and drinks and have a short walk around one side of the Castle.

Excellent place to have dinner over here. Look like castle is not open for public. Restaurant serves good food here and beers are so good. Must try Highlight to the place was view towards villages here. Better to visit after 6pm, because sun cools down little and sky turns orange a bit and cool breeze makes you feel relax here.

Beautiful, quiet location with an outdoor biergarten. Castle was closed when we visited mid day, were able to walk the grounds and enjoy biergarten.

The atmosphere is what you're here for! The drinks are good and the food is average. Lots of options for vegetarians, no fish options. This place is spectacular for a view of the area and vineyards but don't expect a gourmet meal. The vegetable pizza was not so great, I would not recommend but the frommes were pretty good. More like pub food.

Business dinner that turned into an memorable experience. Beautiful vistas, good food and beer, friendly staff. Plenty of parking on a field and while the lot was 3/4 full the place did not feel crowded it was that spacious.

medieval church from 1156 from romanesque to Gothic architecture. the building offers all. beautiful baroque side altars, tower visit, magnificent bell with a clock timing. large stairs with an open theater and amazing main altar. it is the main highlight of the town.

Besides being a historical building with the greatest architecture, the staircase outside is used by the town as a stage for plays. Away from home and wanting to serve God with fellow worshippers, it was the most amazing sermon I have attended.

Oh wow. Past amazing. Everything is so old! Be sure to go up the bell tower, just watch your times around the bells because it is loud!! The church is just amazing. Only downside is that very little is printed in English so if you're a tourist, be sure to use Google Translate

Schwäbisch Hall is a very nice City to visit, and stopping by ST Michael Church is totally worth it. There are also Restaurants and Stores in the vicinity.

Great views of the valley and good food in this interesting location. I had the Schweitzer Wurstsalat which was pretty good, but the vinaigrette was a bit weak. My wife enjoyed pepper garlic cream soup that was quite good. We finished off with Apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce, which was also good.

Although in ruins it is still a majestic Castle over the pictoresque town of Wertheim. One might feel sick when on the top of the tower but the view is worth climbing up.

A lot of stores. Not bad discounts. There are a few restaurants but when it’s too hot outside unfortunately doesn’t have anything with air conditioning where you can sit and eat. Parking space is free and that is a big big plus.

The place to buy quality stuff, its a market of world top brands , and sometimes if you are lucky and have some sale on some store, it makes your day because you get super quality stuff for a very very reasonable price, my favorite market 😀

Great outlet shopping experience. This outlet is a bit far away from the Frankfurt CBD area if you take a train and bus to get there. Luckily, I found and booked their shuttle bus to get there; it was so convincing. The only comment for their shuttle bus is that the return time is a bit early, at 3:25 PM. This is a beautiful countryside outlet, with a nice view, and many famous shops with great discounts. Their Italian restaurant is quite good. But their waffle shop at the corner is a nightmare; it is cold and not good. And during the trip with the shuttle bus, you can also see a fantastic view.

One of the best strolls in the area : crossing the bridge and leisurely walking up to the fortress in the midst of vineyards. Strongly recommended the castle tour and enjoying the view from the top gardens.

I’ve hiked to the fortress crossing Alte Mianbrucke bridge and going gradually on Zeller Strabe and via chain of town gardens culminating in ascent to back entrance of Marienberg Fortress (with benefit of sightseeing much more than the forest). Given limited amount of time, I have not chosen interior tour, but full loop around the fortress afforded beautiful town and nature views. Returning back to the town via main entrance to the forest was quick and easy descent.

Worth a visit, even while renovations are underway. At the moment the main part of the fortress isn't accessible, but the museum is still well worth the ttrip. If using public transportation, take the #9 line to get as close to the main entrance as possible.

The Marienberg Fortress offers a fantastic view over Würzburg and looks beautiful from the outside. Unfortunately, there is currently a lot of construction work going on, so a large part of the area couldn’t be visited. We only stayed outside and didn’t go inside, so I can’t comment on the interior. The parking fees were quite high, so I would recommend walking up from the old town instead — it’s a nice way to enjoy the scenery!

We have just enjoyed a very pleasant and interesting visit to the fortress. The steady climb up from the river provided nice views. Although the fortress is undergoing major renovations until 2032, the museum in the former arsenal was worth a visit, especially for the exhibition on the peasants war for which this year is the 500th anniversary. Being a Sunday admission was only 1 euro each! During the renovations, tours of the main part of the fortress are by guide only, tickets from the visitor centre in the new courtyard. At this time of year (November until Spring) tours are in German only. However, as we were the only two people signed up for the 14:00 tour, the guide was able to do it in English. This was very informative and personal. Our thanks to the lovely guide for this. During the refurbishment, the cafe etc is closed, but there is a kiosk selling cols drinks and hot snacks, plus machines for hot drinks. Overall, well worth a visit!

A fortress wrapped in history — and home to some of the most unforgettable views in Würzburg. Even though Festung Marienberg was partially under renovation during our visit, the experience was absolutely worth the climb. In fact, the construction almost faded into the background the moment we started walking up the hillside paths surrounded by vineyards and those classic Würzburg panoramas. When we reached the top, everything was covered in thick fog — the kind that makes the whole place feel mysterious and ancient. The fortress walls, towers, and archways appeared like shadows in the mist, and honestly, it added such a cinematic touch. We thought we’d lost the view for the day… but then, a few minutes later, the fog slowly opened up. And that’s when the magic happened. The entire city revealed itself beneath us — the river, the old town rooftops, the bridges, and the rolling hills. It felt like watching a curtain lift on the most beautiful stage scene you can imagine. The contrast between the fog and the suddenly crystal-clear panorama was surreal. You could feel the whole crowd around us go silent for a moment, just taking it in. Even with renovations, the fortress remains a must-visit. The atmosphere, the history, the climb, and especially the views — everything comes together perfectly. If you’re in Würzburg, you simply can’t skip this place. And if you’re lucky enough to catch the fog lifting like we did, you’ll remember that moment for a long, long time.

The path to fortress is incredible and the view from top along with Main river view reminded me of Prague and the bridge resembling some what to Charles bridge. The red roofs and architecturally decorated view was splendid. I would definitely go again.

Excellent place to stand and people watch. The were having a fair so the town was overflowing with beautiful people. The promenade along the canal is perfect for a lovely stroll and a glass.

Great place for a pedestrian bridge. Watch the locks and dams move boats up and down the river and people from shore to shore. The statues and hanging baskets are a nice touch. The benches are an invitation to enjoy the views in all directions. This is a very historic structure. The bars and rearraunts at both ends are good also.

This bridge is very popular for sipping wine with the Main river and Bineyard view. Even though it is nout that much architecturally decorated comapred to other bridge in Germany, the view is surreal.

One of the most iconic attractions in Wurtzburg, the bridge’s architectural style with massive statues tucked in niches resembles closely with Charles Bridge in Prague. Both are really gorgeous pedestrian bridges with splendid views from the bridge and of the bridge from shores. Similarity continues in number of tourists and locals crossing them. I have had opportunity to cross the bridge in the morning before local winery stand opens and in afternoon. Much more palatable in the morning. After wine stand opens, the bridge becomes really congested and hard to cross.

We spent some time in the gardens of the Residenz which you can do at no cost. The place is neatly maintained and you can get stunning views of the huge baroque palace. There's also parking on the other side of the building as well as a free public toilet nearby.

This is a unesco world heritage site. Very well maintained especially given that it was damaged during the second world war. The key highlights are the glass room, ceiling art and the gardens. This is an interesting fountain monument at Marktplatz. It is the work of Johann Andreas Gärtner (1802). What you see is a 15 metre high obelisk with simple fountain features that seem to operate during the warmer months of the year. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Kids had an excellent time and did not want to leave. Food options are great and prices are expected to be a bit higher so no surprise there. There a re variety of rides for everyone of all ages. Glad it wasn't too crowded when we visited on 03 July. My favorite ride was the boomerang. Also there a husky friendly rides for my guys who wear a couple XX's in their shirt or waistband. Can't wait to go back next weekend.

In general we had a lovely day there. The park is not that big but offers a wide range of activities for all age groups more suited for families and children. If you are an adrenalin junky you will find a few attractions but not that a variety as in other parks. We liked that there were food stalls and toilets everywhere and the wildlife areas to calm down a bit from the excitement. Some of the attractions seem a bit dated, though they are still fun to ride. The new area that was opened this year (Asia themed) looked nice, but the dragon rollercoaster didn't live up to our expectations. (no real light show or exciting exhibits, could do much better!) If you are looking for a nice family day, this will suit you fine 😉

This is a great day out for a family with attractions suitable for all age groups. The park is well maintained and the layout offers plenty of shade and diversity. This would have been five stars from me if the prices were a bit more moderate. Kids pay full price from 1.40 m size, no family tickets and on site food, drinks and ice-cream are quite expensive. I recommend big families to bring their own food and drink.

Its a strange collection of attractions, some clearly left overs from earlier decades or second hand from other large attraction parks. But, nice atmosphere, green surroundings, not too busy. So, you pick what you like and go over and over again in the same attraction. For younger children lots of fun options. For teenagers too limited. My 13 and 15 year old enjoyed it for a couple of hours, but too few really exciting rollercoasters etc. Prices for food and drinks are high with 3 EUR for a black coffee. Zero vegan options. It's all just s bit out of date or conservative. Maybe exemplary for Bavaria?

Today we visited Geiselwind. We came from the USA and decided to see. Honestly this was one of the best experiences I have had. The rides were awesome, people were friendly. Definitely would recommend for parents with kids or even for adults!

Easy to spend 2 hours, more if staying at tje pool or playgrounds!

A lot has changed over the years. Coming here since I was a child, so for the last 30 years. And I have to say I could see so much improvement! It's a great place for the whole family. Go for a walk, visit the animals, pet and feed them, go to the playground, play Minigolf, lie in the grass, go in the pool,... Would highly recommend!

On a short quick pre Christmas visit to Germany from the U.S., the first for my 16 year old during winter, I decided to introduce her to German spa culture. Rhein Main or Taunus Therme would have been a lot closer to us, the Toskana Therme in Bad Orb popped up and came recommended by acquaintances, but all three had quite a few negative reviews. I discovered Spessart Therme when one of the reviewers mentioned it as the better alternative that is only 6 km further than Bad Orb. I was sold when I read that they have a 10% salt pool, you can float in and that Wednesday is ladies day at the sauna (no clothing allowed). I was pleasantly surprised that we could still get a child ticket for my 16 year old or a 1/2 family ticket for the two of us (17 EUR plus 14 EUR for sauna for all day). That's a better price than any of the other spas. Nice touch: The parking lot on the left is free (5 hour time limit with “Parkscheibe”). Upon arrival we found that the next salt cave session would start soon and still had availability so we decided to check it out. The reception lady was friendly & patiently explained how everything worked but charged us (wrongly) for two adults (2x 11,50 EUR). I saw later in the brochure that youth (11-16 years) is 9,50 EUR, oh well … The 45 minute salt cave session was pleasant, blankets are provided but it felt warm (20-22C) enough. It's a good time to recharge (and nap) with relaxing music. They say 45 minutes in there is equally beneficial as one day at the ocean front. We went on into the pool area next and floated around one of the main pools that is 31C. It's pleasant and has plenty of bubblers and little water jet massagers. It feels warm going in but we needed to move around a little after a while to stay comfortable. We only tested the water of the other pool with the Poseidon temple by hand - it felt noticeably cooler (my guess was about 28C, like regular swimming pool temperature) so we didn't even bother going in there. The website says that it's 33C (?!). Then we found the smaller 10% salt pool. It's very warm (36C) The water is of brownish color and there should be a warning that it might stain white bathing suits. It made the white in my black & white top look rather cream colored. Avoid wearing white! There is a sign asking for silence and not to remain in it for more than 15 minutes. When we first discovered it, people who had just completed a water aerobics session in the therapeutic pool had gone in as a group and they were chatting away. We went back again later and were all by ourselves then - a little piece of heaven to be able to float on our backs watching the changing light colors. Only music could have further enhanced this experience. This pool alone made the 1 hour trip totally worth it. Next we checked out the saunas. There is a steam bath and a 50C & 55C sauna inside and three wooden huts with 85, 90 & 100C saunas outside. We happened to arrive just in time for the infusion in the 90C sauna. We are sauna novices but wanted to give this a try. It was popular and the sauna filled up fast. The sauna master passed out menthol drops before adding ginger lemongrass fragrance & then pouring on water. It got very hot but was still bearable and we made it to the end. There are cold showers and a small dipping tub to cool off. We also tried the 85C sauna but skipped the others. They were passing out salt to use for a full body scrub & peeling in front of the steam bath which was a nice touch. The restroom & shower areas were clean, and had good water pressure. Maybe a few more hooks would be useful. There are chairs and free hair dryers in front of a long wall of mirrors just outside of the changing rooms and lockers. Overall a very pleasant visit, we will be back in the summer!

We took our management team to visit this place to try for stress free idea. The Cyrotherapy and their little Salt Cave were our good choices. This place is clean with friendly staff. However, it'd be great if cyrotherapy and salt cave can be managed to use in a row. We had to wait for almost 2 hours to use the cave although we called to arrange time with the staff before travelling. It already took 6 hours for us to visit and return to our city. Hopefully, someone can really arrange our appointment when we call next time.

Not to big but for a few hours it was great. I loved the salt bad and sauna. Unfortunality the 25 mtr Pool was closed, after a long holliday drive i would have love to swim there. But we could relax and swim a little bit in the smaller therme pool. We came by camper and a street away we could find the camper parking place for the night.

Great system for lockers / entry / changing area fair price kids price until 16 yrs (incl). Typical spa pools, wave pool outside and a sports pool plus a salt grotto which I sadly missed. Friendly lifeguard. Only con was one of the ladies at the cantine who was impatient, rude and wrong about our order, possibly racist or xenophobic as we were obviously foreign or maybe just stressed. Her colleague was friendly though.

Had the luck to try the ice lab here the experience was fantastic.

Fish in cafe was shockingly small and low quality. Never order this item. Staff was incredibly rude when I asked for mustard and demanded I pay extra. Food took long and was below average for the price.

I came today as a tourist and the customer service was awful, I have tried to speak the little German I know hence I am the first time in Germany ever and they didn’t even respond to “Sprechen english” the woman rolled her eyes in disrespect and mocked me for not knowing German, VERY BAD OVERALL EXPERIENCE.

Excellent place for a day in a thermal bath. We spent around 3 hours there, and it felt too short. Please remember that the place is not too big, and they calculate headcount to allow you to enter. When we were there around 1 pm, it was full, and we waited roughly half an hour. Inside, there’s also a cafe, and the same cafe can be also found at the entrance. For the price, the place is excellent!

A great place to relax with family or friends, offering multiple pools at different temperatures. I visit frequently and sometimes use the sauna, which has various types with different temperature levels. There is also a relaxation area upstairs with hanging chairs and spectacular views of nature. It’s important to note that this is a nude sauna. If that makes you uncomfortable, it’s best not to pay the additional fee. Additionally, there is a floating pool with a high salt concentration that allows you to float effortlessly. Many people don’t know that there is a Dampfbad (steam bath) upstairs, which is free to use and doesn’t require an additional fee. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and there is even a dedicated pool for people with disabilities. As for dining, the ice cream is delicious, and you can sit indoors or outdoors. The food is quite good considering it’s a pool, spa, and relaxation center. Overall, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff is friendly and professional.

We spent 2 hours in this thermal bath. Very nice place for family, and also has a quiet place. I have had eczema in my hand for years which keeps coming back. After one day here my skin improved and healed so very fast, less that 24 hours. Our stay here was only 1 night and I wish we had more time to stay longer for my skin’s complete healing. I will definitely return and plan to stay longer in this beautiful and quite town for relaxation time and healing.

Nice place , if someone likes churches, good german food and beer.The path to the Golgotha group leads over a stone staircase . It's one of the oldest of its kind in Germany , built in 1710. ( counting the stairs is really good fun not only for kids :-D ) . The panoramic view from the top of the hill is also beautiful.

Beautiful place...as everyone knows it has 500 steps...that you have to climb slowly because you arrive out of breath...you can have a picnic at the bottom...but I went in the summer and the castle was horrible. And it's under renovation. Don't go inside the castle to go up and down for at least two hours while you walk around. If you have more time, even better. The fountains do not have water like in the videos for these dates and the heat was 33 degrees....

The waterfalls and fountains are operated on Wednesdays and Sundays on the afternoon. It’s a wonderful and quite unique spectacle being a UNESCO cultural site. To follow the path of the 5 stations you have to walk over 2 Km, mainly downhill.

Stunning views! Came the first week of November (so naturally the fountains/water were not running), but got some beautiful autumn colours and some blue sky. There is no fee to wander around the monument. I believe there's a museum there, which costs money. Unclear on if anyone is allowed to climb further up the monument (able to walk around the base at the top of the stairs), but there were locked gates blocking off when I went (around 1500h on a Monday). Helpful hint, I took the bus to the Herkules monument and then walked down through the park. It's a lot of stairs to walk up to the top, but really enjoyable walking downhill.

Very bombastic venue, however it is being repaired and not a nice visit ( as of Nov 2035). I wouldn't pay the €8 to go up, unless you wish a wonderful view only, the the construction is rather hideous really. The cascade is worth a walk up and down. Wear good footwear; 535 steps. You can access the staircase cascade free. Chech the timings as the water is only switched on during the summer months, around 14:30hrs. Still worth a visit.

Good for beginners, but nothing like to view, yes the city view is good and the journey from up to down is adventures

We visited the lower ground of the castle while on a family vacation. The views are amazing, lovely gardens and many green alleys to indulge in nature. Gardens are very well maintained and are simply breathtaking. You can enjoy a lovely view of the City from the top part of the castle

Such an amazing castle with beautiful views. The path leading up to the tower is a moderate hike with a lot of stairs to climb but the view from top is worth the hard work.

The view is amazing. It's a good walk, so bring water with you. It was raining and foggy, but it was still worth it. They have some light shows at night, so I recommend going later.

The museum is good enough to enjoy the stories of the Greeks. However, it has no ancient monuments as it contains prototypes for statues, vases and temples. However, It contains some nice art work and it is the only place in Kassel to buy souvenirs as postcards and magnets 🧲 😀. A bit expensive souvenirs, but it's okay..

Journey to the castle is great. However once you reach at the top. Nothing much to do! Something creative can be done for visitors.

Absolutely stunning. A lot of walking but there is a shuttle bus from Hercules to the Schloss. A lot of beautiful statues. Allow a good chunk of the day to visit and best on a dry day.

Marvelous piece of man made wonder. Gigantic, rusty and majestic. Nice to trek with the family and have excellent opportunity to explore the nature. From HBF, you can take tram 4 to wilhelmspark and from there either ride with bus line 23 untill Herkules or trek the 3 odd kilometers. Also there are parking opportunities near wilhelmspark tram station but it's filled quickly on Wasserspiel days (Sundays, Wednesdays and public holidays in summer). Worth and recommended.

Absolutely gorgeous park, but be prepared to hike! Walk from the info center to the Hercules statue was about 3 hours one way. The water attractions get filled on Wednesday Friday and Sunday, so try to be at the Hercules statue around 2.

That was a truly great experience. We had a chance to have an open guided tour around the church and the adjacent palace. The Westwerk (the oldest from the time of king Carl the Great) is really unique. Unfortunately the abbey was subject to state capture in 1803, but luckily it's again in private hands and flourishing. Great garden with masses of flowers in the "backyard"

Very extensive grounds which contain the stately home and a richly decorated church both included in the ticket price. Large car park for visitors. In 2023 the Bundesgartenschau is being held in the grounds but this costs a little more.

On a motorbike tour through Europe, we purposely aimed for this museum because of the bikes. The collection is massive, but what we didn't appreciate was that it is spread acorss multiple sites in the same town - spread out across the space of a mile or so (probably our mistake). We went to the main venue and enjoyed the exhibits, but these were a mix of cars and bikes. Only at the end did we find that the bike museum was a mile away and that we had to pay separately for admission to that venue. If we had known this, we would have gone straight to the bike venue, and saved some money. By the time we got to the bike venue to explore, we were already running behind schedule and were tired, so couldn't give the place the attention it deserved. Overall, the collection was huge, and comprehensive. I'd visit again, but pick the venue more carefully next time.

Great experience for "engine" lovers or those who wanna know more about the engine evolution, about cars, motorcycles and their trands throughout the history. Spectacular life scenes that outline the use of specific vehicles at the time of their grandiose and lots of many other interesting and beautiful things of the past.

The place is well kept, with a nice piece of wall art outside in theme with the car subject . The main building is packed full of all the items that made history in the locomotion area, 6 floors! Please allow many hours to this visit, or you Won' t have time for the special features available on the premises, as it happened to us! My 3 men were so taken by the stuff and the exhibition that 3 hours passed quickly, and were not enough! Pity that not all info is in english too, but there is enough to understand the period they are talking about..Restaurant is good, with friendly, english speaking personnel, and a refined industrial mood.

I went there by taking M830 from Goslar Hbf. There is only one or two time each hour,and need to check the time in order not to wait for a long time. The church is very beautiful and attractive. Very impressive. It’s worth visiting. There is a hotel near the church is also quite beautiful.

This little church is seriously stunning! If you're into checking out the impressive woodworking skills that showcase the local architectural style, you're in for a treat. The folks running the place might not have been the friendliest, but we still had a good time during our quick visit.

I took the train/ mine option and greatly enjoyed the ride and temperature change (it was hot outside). Although the tour was in German I was able to infer as it is a very visual and interactive tour. The tour guide was really good. Hard to believe what these workers had to go through to earn a living. An amazing experience I would highly recommend! It's rare to get to walk in the shoes and take the same mine train the miners took back in the day, deep into the depths of this mine and UNESCO World Heritage site. The rest of the museum and exhibitions are also interesting but the mine rail tour is a must!

Very impressive! It was for me the first time to visit a mine like this, it feels you go back in time! The groups weren't that big, so you could see a lot of the mine. It was quite cold, so wear warm clothes. The train underground was an amazing experience!

Very deceiving for such an emblematic place. It is still a quite impressive place full of history which is nice to see. I expected more... First of all, there is no tour in English. For a UNESCO world heritage site, you will expect at least one tour in English. For the museum part, it is interesting but everything is disorganised and it is not appealing. Some parts are only in German. I hope one day, this place would be made more accessible for non-german speakers.

I recently visited the Rammelsberg Ore Mines with my husband and had an incredible experience. We took the guided tour in English, called the Röder Stollen, led by Mr. Christian Etzrodt. He was super friendly and humorous, making the entire journey interesting and engaging. I really appreciate him going out of the way to add fun to the tour. It was an amazing and adventurous experience, and I highly recommend his tour. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful (she helped us choose the appropriate tour), as was the lovely lady at the shop. Overall, it was a fantastic visit! We really enjoyed the experience. Oh, yes! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and shoes. You would need to walk a lot and climb steep steps. Would not recommend this tour to people with claustrophobia, nyctophobia, panic disorder, breathing issues, pregnancy, etc. It is colder and dark and might be a bit slippery. P.S. I personally give bonus points for the "Stimmungsring" at the shop, haha

The Imperial Palace of Goslar is a remarkable medieval site with a rich history dating back to the 11th century. Although I never toured the inside of the palace. I thoughly enjoyed the architecture and green space surrounding the site. Some nice views of Goslar behind the palace. Great place to visit.

Very helpful staff that made my visit with a mobility scooter easy and very enjoyable! Informative audio guide saves reading all the info tablets and gives good background information on all the exhibits. Well worth a visit!

I really enjoyed it. We got the audio guides which helped explain a lot. I really liked all the imperial art and the explanations behind the depictions. I have never been very good at art history and the symbolism and all of that and the audio guide explanation was very helpful.

The explanations were in German, but they could have been in English as well. I couldn’t go inside because it was temporarily closed. The walking path was amazing—it was a very unique experience. I hope the interior opens soon; I’d like to visit again.

Magical castle close to Hannover, sadly still closed, but it’s still beautiful to see even just from outside. Maxton Hall was also filmed there and there are three scenes outside the castle that you can visit if you’re a fan like me, it’s a nice place for just having a nice walk or taking pictures

Marienburg Castle is absolutely stunning — one of the most impressive medieval castles in the world. The architecture is massive, detailed, and perfectly preserved. Walking through the halls feels like stepping back in time, from the brick courtyards to the Grand Masters’ rooms and the beautiful views over the river. The museum exhibits are excellent, very organized, and full of history. The audio guide makes the experience even better, explaining every corner of this incredible fortress. It’s a long visit, but worth every minute. Highly recommended for anyone who loves architecture, history, or just wants to see something unforgettable.

On our way back from Hanover to Einbeck on a sunny summer afternoon, we made a quick stop at this beautiful castle near Pattensen. Even though it wasn’t open for tours at the time, it was absolutely worth it: easy access from the road, plenty of parking, and a big green area perfect for a short walk or just relaxing in the sun. The castle itself looks like something out of an old fairytale, with lots of authentic details and stunning views from every side. It’s a lovely and memorable stop that I’d recommend to anyone driving between Hanover and Einbeck!🏰🌳

If it would be Catholic, nice, sadly they overtook the probably once even more beautiful place. But the crypt is still catholic, and also really beautiful. Protestants even today gladly could not erase Mary completely outside of the history.

Visited Celle Castle in February and absolutely loved it. I didn’t go inside, but just walking around felt like stepping into a fairy tale. A charming stop if you’re in Celle!

Serengeti Park Hodenhagen absolutely exceeded our expectations! We had an amazing time exploring the self drive safari. It's incredibly well organized and gives you a rare chance to see exotic animals up close from the comfort of your own car. From giraffes walking past our windows to rhinos grazing nearby, the whole experience felt like a mini African adventure right in Germany. What impressed us the most was how smoothly everything ran. Entry was well coordinated, the drive-through routes were clearly marked, and there were friendly staff around to guide and assist if needed. The animals appeared healthy and well cared for, with plenty of space to roam. But the fun doesn’t stop there. The amusement park section was a fantastic surprise. There’s a great mix of rides and attractions for both kids and adults. The park is clean, spacious, and offers a lot of variety to fill the entire day. Overall, it’s 100% worth the visit, especially for families or anyone looking to do something unique over the weekend. We left with so many great memories and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend!

We went for the Halloween special and we really enjoyed it. It wasn't too busy, and not too scary. We were able to enjoy all the rides without a wait on most occasions. Unfortunately, both rollercoasters were not operating, I dont know if this is normal for the winter months. We stayed in a safari comfort lodge, which was clean and perfect for the three of us. It was quite small, but we were only in there to sleep. The accommodation is immediately next to the park and restaurant. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was included in our package. We didn't have time to experience the safari park this visit. We will definitely be returning next year.

An interesting park with a lot of different animals. My recommendation is to go through the park in your own car instead of the bus, as it is really safe and better for seeing the animals. Touring by car takes about 2–3 hours, after which you can visit the amusement park within the same area and spend another 3–4 hours having fun—rides, winning teddy bears by throwing into baskets, food available around. There is also a place where you can feed and pet goats, sheep, and llamas, which is truly wonderful for animal lovers. Overall, a very nice experience and recommended.

It is a really great place for a whole day family trip! The safari part is incredible, we were on our own car and haven't regretted it. You can see animals really close, they have plenty of space and look really healthy. And we loved the amusement park! Surprisingly there were almost no ques, we didn't have to wait more that 5 mins for a ride. Top place, highly recommend!

One of the best Safari park in northern Europe ! Very large, organised, clean and must visit. The rides are also a bonus and included, if you want to cover both I recommend to start early spend 09.30 to 12.30 at the safari, have lunch and spend rest of the day at the rides. The rides are for all age groups and parking facility is quite good, so can easily walk around. There is also an indoor play area for younger kids. Overall can easily spend a full day with family having fun and good memories !

We had booked the Tongasoa lodges. What they don't tell you is there is a hard deadline for check in. The reception closes at 7pm and they were available until 8pm for late check in. The keys and the room no. information are all provided only at the reception, if you come late, we aren't sure where you will need to spend the night. We were very lucky to have caught them just when they were locking up and they were kind enough to help us with our checkins after their work hours. Apart from that everything else was really nice. They rooms were nice and clean, the beds were comfortable and all amenities were functional. The breakfast the next day at Manyara restaurant was just fine. If you are a vegetarian, you will be able to get sandwich and cereals and for vegan probably just fruits and salad vegetables. Safari the next day was really fun, we went with our own cars. The animals were very close and approached the cars. I thought I read you shouldn't feed the animals, but some of the cars in front of us were feeding apples, bananas and carrots and nobody stopped them. The amusement park was also fun, it came with the safari tickets, we didn't need to pay extra.

A lot of reading required. Very sparce, no option of a guide but it is free to enter

Inevitably a very thought provoking experience. A very detailed museum with photos, video artefacts etc. Outside it was not fully clear where to go, take the free map. Nice to see Anne Frank's memorial, her story has moved me for over 50 years

Free to enter and walk around, the scale of the area is massive and you can easily spend 2-3 hours walking around. You don't truly understand the scale of the camp until you walk the grounds. Although none of the original building stand there are plenty of maps explaining certain areas dotted around the grounds. The POW cemetery is separate from the camp, roughly a 5 min walk and is now connected via a sand path that crosses the training area. All signs have an English translation and the exhibits in the museum also have English translations. There is a cafe and library on site, but I didn't visit.

The history in this memorial was extremely tough to see but important to know so the past will never be repeated

Poignant and moving. Very well narrated in the stories and pictures in the museum which is new. Camp site tells the story well although it is only the foundation now as it was destroyed at the liberation due to disease concerns.

Very emotional and at times hard to see. Important so learn what can sometimes happen if bad people are allowed to go too far

A very sobering place to visit

We have been there a number of times and found the park very nice and fun to be in with kids. There was a very nice big playground and many things to see and do. We will go again and we can only recommend this to anyone.

We had an amazing time at Wildpark Schwarze Berge! The park is beautifully laid out, surrounded by peaceful forest and plenty of space for the animals to roam. You can really feel that the animals are well cared for and that the staff are passionate about nature and education. The walking paths are scenic and easy to follow, and there are so many species to discover — from wild boars and deer to owls, lynxes, and wolves. What we especially enjoyed was the Fuchsfütterung (fox feeding). It was such a unique and intimate experience to watch the foxes up close and learn more about their behavior. The keeper explained everything in a really engaging way and made it feel personal and special. Seeing how curious and playful the foxes were was definitely the highlight of our visit. The park also has great viewing areas, clean facilities, and a nice restaurant with local food. It’s a perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone who loves animals and nature. We’ll definitely come back again — and next time, we’ll plan to stay even longer!

Huge park to entertain your kids. There are plenty of animals to see and areas that you can relax have a Picknick. Also they have an area where you can have a BBQ if you bring your own things to grill. Can spend the whole day with kids and family.

Large and clean animal park with spacious enclosures, but sometimes difficult paths with quite a gradient. The path through the park is paved and can also be visited with handcarts, wheelchairs and prams. Plenty of clean toilets, rubbish bins and food is also provided. Dogs are allowed! Large and open animal enclosures for very close contact.

My Daughter enjoyed every moments and to see animals and some to touch them. Surprisingly enough there is many people visit on weekend but since the place is bigger you don't see or feel it is crowded. The challenge if you take a bus it runs after every 45 min and during summer most of weekends the bus is full
